00:10:12.000 And tell us about the film and your view on the New World Order, Noah.

00:10:17.000 Okay, well, starting with the film, Red White and Blue, I was here for the Yeah, well, US premiere as part of South by Southwest in beautiful downtown Austin at the Alamo Draft House.

00:10:36.000 And yeah, we came to Austin last year.

00:10:39.000 It was a very quick shoot.

00:10:40.000 It was a three-week shoot.

00:10:42.000 All Austin crew, and as you said, Tim Leake, Austin identity, is the executive producer on it.

00:10:50.000 So, yeah, I'm just here to promote the film, really.

00:10:56.000 It's really great you came along.

00:10:58.000 I tell you, I'm still shaking up from it.

00:11:01.000 Is this one of the most intense roles you've ever played?

00:11:05.000 Yeah, definitely.

00:11:06.000 I mean, it is a very heavy film, but I think it's a very brave, interesting kind of film.

00:11:13.000 It works on lots of different levels in a way, but it does leave you feeling a bit turned up by the end of it.

00:11:20.000 It does put you in a bit of a state of shock almost, but it's a powerful film.

00:11:25.000 Well, you guys talked about how it was shot to really look like what light looks like to someone actually in a room, not fake Hollywood light, and I think that adds to the really creepiness of it.

00:11:41.000 I read in the States when you said that you basically got your accent from King of the Hill and listening to my radio show.

00:11:46.000 When did you start tuning into the show?

00:11:48.000 That's correct, yeah.

00:11:50.000 I needed a good source of Texas accents and I started with King of the Hill and then I kind of discovered your show and it enabled me to you know, listen to your show on the podcast and things for sort of,

00:12:07.000 you know, three hours at a time every day and for a couple of months, so You know just trying to pick things up really and immerse myself in it and got into your show via that really so it was a fortuitous circumstances Part of the look of the film, the sort of gritty look of the film, is sort of partly based on Slacker, you know, Richard Linklater's first bit of Austin movie.

00:12:34.000 That was a big sort of inspiration for the film, too.

00:12:36.000 You know, I didn't know that, but I was thinking of Slacker while watching it.

00:12:40.000 Yeah, yeah.

00:12:41.000 And I know you've done Waking Life and stuff, haven't you?

00:12:45.000 Yeah, Rick's a great guy.

00:12:47.000 I wonder what he'll think of your film.

00:12:49.000 Yeah, I hope you see it.

00:12:51.000 So, yeah, I mean, definitely.

00:12:53.000 There's a nod to that film, for sure, yeah.

00:13:14.000 it's definitely not a film for the kiddies, but, you know, that goes without saying.

00:13:20.000 But I wouldn't even call this a horror film.

00:13:23.000 I mean, this is more about different perspectives of different people who all feel...

00:13:30.000 Exactly. Yeah, no, exactly.

00:13:44.000 I mean, you know, on one level, it's a very...

00:13:49.000 It's a very blood-soaked love story, in essence, and a revenge tale, and a very extreme version of the Western model, in a way, like a movie like Shame, or whatever, you know, someone who's sort of forced to take up violence for their own particular reason, maybe sort of being forced into it, rather than, you know, psychotic sort of slashing, sort of aimlessly going at it.

00:14:20.000 It's not a serial killer movie or anything like that.

00:14:24.000 None of the people in it are actually bad, but the things they do are pretty bad.

00:14:30.000 And it leaves a lot of it open for your own speculation, where you don't really know, in some cases, I mean...

00:14:37.000 Yeah. Is he really a former army CIA torture guy?

00:14:42.000 Not exactly sure about that.

00:14:44.000 I think he might have been.

00:14:45.000 I think he might have been.

00:14:46.000 Yeah, I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility.

00:14:53.000 You know, we all know there's been some pretty nasty stuff going on around the world and, you know, that sort of stuff goes on.

00:15:00.000 So it's not, it's not beyond the realms of possibility, but in a way it's not, it's not necessarily important whether you believe that he's that thing or not because, you know, his actions kind of back up his statements in a way.

00:15:13.000 Absolutely. And, you know, for real hardcore that's really how they do it.

00:15:18.000 They don't sit there and play games and screw around.

00:15:20.000 They just, well, I'm not going to describe the film.

00:15:23.000 They just start chopping things off, especially if they're planning to get rid of you.

00:15:26.000 Red, white, and blue, ladies and gentlemen.

00:15:29.000 Hardcore isn't even the beginning of it.

00:15:31.000 It certainly gets you thinking.

00:15:34.000 And then when you realize that this stuff's going on in reality all over the place by the supposed good guys, it'll certainly make your head spin.

00:15:42.000 Okay, Noah, in the time we've got left, last night, boy, you were really going off on the police state, on the mind control, on the conditioning.

00:15:51.000 Alright, well, you know, I just gathered a few little notes of things that are going on in the UK and, well, I guess lots of countries around the world.

00:16:05.000 But I mean, the UK stands out because it's the most surveilled country in the world, the most number of CCTV cameras and all that sort of stuff.

00:16:17.000 People are kind of used to it.

00:16:20.000 Actually, it's a fairly impotent apparatus, I've come to the conclusion, because the fact is, at the moment, they have them installed, but there's just not enough people to watch it.

00:16:33.000 I guess down the line, you know, the technology will be sophisticated enough.

00:16:37.000 It won't depend on humans, you know, sort of watching individual cameras and things like that.

00:16:42.000 I mean, I know they're already doing that sort of, you know, mapping, you know, sort of suspicious movements or gatherings of people, things like that.

00:16:51.000 But it is disturbing.

00:16:53.000 I mean, I reread 1984 recently.

00:16:56.000 And, you know, I remember that sort of feeling when 1984 actually came about 20-whatever years ago.

00:17:04.000 And there was that sort of relief of, oh, it hasn't happened, you know.

00:17:07.000 But actually, if you walk around England these days, it feels pretty close to it.

00:17:18.000 Yeah, it's a funny old place.

00:17:21.000 And just the other thing is the smoking ban.

00:17:26.000 I always saw that as a way of getting compliance out of society.

00:26:22.000 But then they just announced the other day that the coroner's report that they have and the autopsy won't be available for public disclosure for 80 years, which is, you know, Convenient.

00:26:36.000 Well, they've had the doctors that examined him say that first the cuts weren't there, then they weren't deep enough.
