00:00:00.000 Big Brother.
00:00:14.000 Mainstream media.
00:00:16.000 Government cover-ups.
00:00:18.000 You want answers?
00:00:20.000 Well, so does he.
00:00:21.000 He's Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.
00:00:25.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.
00:00:29.000 And good morning or good afternoon, depending on where you're located.
00:00:40.000 Kathryn Albrecht here with you, filling in as a guest host for Alex Jones on a much-needed vacation.
00:00:47.000 Let's hope he can get that blood pressure down.
00:00:49.000 We need him tanned, rested, and ready to continue to lead the revolution.
00:00:53.000 So I'm filling in And for him, yesterday, today, and Friday.
00:00:57.000 Happy to be here with you, and we've got a ton of really hot news going on right now.
00:01:03.000 You know, there's one place on the globe that I gotta say makes pretty much every other place on the globe look like a Caribbean vacation.
00:01:11.000 And that place would be North Korea.
00:01:14.000 No matter what else you want to say, I mean, you've got to, in some ways, you've got to kind of stand back and go, you know, it is kind of impressive, I suppose, that North Korea has managed to maintain its position sort of outside of the circle of U.S.
00:01:26.000 influence, but it's done so in such a horrific way for its people that you've really got to kind of have a shudder go down your spine when you think about that country.
00:01:36.000 If you think about all of the worst regimes of history, and then you kind of multiply them all together and stick them into the 21st century, but I guess make it seem as though the people were living 100 years before, then you've got North Korea.
00:01:49.000 Freezing cold.
00:01:51.000 Not enough food to go around.
00:01:53.000 Absolutely horrific communist dictator.
00:01:56.000 One of the few remaining places on earth that still hasn't quite figured out that full-scale communism leads to starvation and misery on the part of people.
00:02:05.000 Or if they have figured it out, I guess they don't care.
00:02:08.000 But North Korea is really, you know, when you think about like Burma, I mean, there are some places on the globe you just go, ew!
00:02:15.000 Yuck!
00:02:16.000 And North Korea certainly is one of them.
00:02:18.000 Well, North Korea has been in the news, weirdly, for actually the last couple of months.
00:02:24.000 And this hour I'm going to be talking about Dennis Rodman's recent trip, along with, of all things, three of the Harlem Globetrotters.
00:02:31.000 Anybody old enough to remember those guys?
00:02:33.000 Are they still even around?
00:02:34.000 Are they geriatrically bouncing basketballs in their seventies now?
00:02:38.000 I don't know, but they headed with Dennis Rodman Off to North Korea, behind what I think even goes beyond the Iron Bamboo Curtain into the absolute heart of sheer human misery itself.
00:02:52.000 There they were.
00:02:53.000 So I'll be giving you the details on that and also on some other recent famous Americans who've been heading off to North Korea.
00:03:02.000 North Korea, of course, more than happy to accept that kind of international attention.
00:03:07.000 North Korea seems to really thrive on doing the big theatrical performances.
00:03:13.000 Have you guys seen the videos on YouTube?
00:03:16.000 Every, well it seems like every year, on the birthday of the great leader or some other national holiday, they have all of their Soldiers come out, all the men and the women, and they march in unison, and they hold up these big cards, and they have the beautiful women in their flower dresses, dancing around in their lovely colors, and really make it seem like it's just a wonderland.
00:03:37.000 It's just a paradise.
00:03:38.000 But what they don't show you is behind the scenes.
00:03:41.000 You know, they did the same thing for Catherine the Great, when she would travel through Russia.
00:03:45.000 As they do for these visiting international representatives who go there with film cameras.
00:03:52.000 They used to set up for Catherine the Great's visits in these Terribly destitute villages.
00:03:59.000 They would set up false fronts so that as she would ride down the street in her cavalcade or whatever it was, her gold gilded carriage, that on both sides of the street would be these opulent homes and these happy, well-dressed, smiling children wearing neatly ironed frocks and pinafores and everyone would be smiling and well-fed.
00:04:19.000 And what they didn't know is that they spent a fortune building up literally just the facade for her and the visiting foreign dictators.
00:04:27.000 And if you just peeled that away, it was almost like the Wild West, where they had those fake front, the false front buildings that you'd see in the old westerns, where if you looked behind it, you would see the misery, the human misery in those villages.
00:04:40.000 Same thing true in North Korea, where literally hundreds of thousands, potentially even millions of people have starved to death because of their terrible communist policies.
00:04:50.000 And yet we've got U.S.
00:04:51.000 celebrities, I suppose, if you want to call Dennis Rodman a celebrity, just trying to ride that, you know, ride the horror we all feel about North Korea.
00:05:00.000 All right, I'll give you details on that when we come back right after this.
00:05:03.000 Katherine Albrecht filling in for Alex Jones.

00:08:14.000 Came in last night at half past ten.
00:08:18.000 That baby of mine wouldn't let me in.
00:08:20.000 So move it on over.
00:08:22.000 Move it on over.
00:08:26.000 Move over, little dog, cause the big dog's moving in.
00:08:32.000 She's changed the lock on our front door.
00:08:35.000 Five-floor key don't fit no more.
00:08:37.000 So get it on over.
00:08:39.000 Move it on over.
00:08:41.000 Scoot it on over.
00:08:42.000 Move it on over.
00:08:43.000 Move over, skinny dog.
00:08:47.000 Yeah, make room for the big dog, oh yeah.
00:08:50.000 Katherine Albrecht here, filling in for Alex Jones, the alpha dog of the Freedom Movement.
00:08:54.000 So glad that he's on our team, I gotta tell ya.
00:08:57.000 You know, after seeing him on Piers Morgan, and we're gonna be covering a clip here shortly of Louis Farrakhan responding to that, but you know, after seeing Alex Jones on Piers Morgan, I gotta say, I think I had the reaction everybody did when we first saw it, which was, oh my gosh, I can't believe I'm seeing that on live network television.
00:09:15.000 And then I think, you know, the aftermath, I gotta tell you, I am so glad that guy is on our team.
00:09:22.000 Seriously, would you want to be on the opposite team of all of that energy?
00:09:26.000 And the thing about Alex Jones is that that energy represents the energy of literally millions of listeners across this country.
00:09:33.000 That is the energy on which this country was founded, that independent energy that says, heck no!
00:09:39.000 People descended from ancestors who said, heck no!
00:09:44.000 To even a greater extent than I think we can even imagine today.
00:09:48.000 If you think about what this country was founded on, people who got so sick of the power structure as it currently stood, that they were willing to brave oceans and privation and deprivation and starvation and having to figure out how to hack their way through an entirely new continent because they were so fed up with the power structure.
00:10:10.000 And I gotta tell you, that is the blood that flows in the veins of true American patriots.
00:10:14.000 That is the blood that flows in my veins and in your veins.
00:10:16.000 When you think about our ancestors who left whatever hell hole they were in, whether it was in Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Southern Europe, Africa, well, that's a whole other story there, isn't it?
00:10:29.000 France, You've got to talk about Northern Europe, you've got to talk about Mexico, you've got to talk about all through South America.
00:10:37.000 We've got people who, through one means or another, came to this country and had to carve out a life.
00:10:43.000 And when you look at how they managed to pull that off, and especially those folks who left family, left homes, left everything that they had, everything that they knew, and came out here to say, it's worth it to me to strike out on my own.
00:10:57.000 I've got to tell you, that's a proud heritage.
00:11:00.000 Yeah, and thinking about what it is to be truly an American in this country in this day and age, and then taking a look at what's happening in other parts of the world where people don't have even a fraction of the freedoms that we have.
00:11:11.000 I've got to remind everybody listening, the next time you want to rag on the U.S.
00:11:15.000 of A, and believe me, it's pretty easy to do.
00:11:17.000 There's a lot of stuff going wrong here.
00:11:19.000 But the next time you want to do that, I want you to remember something.
00:11:21.000 I've traveled all over this world.
00:11:24.000 And I know Alex has done a considerable amount of traveling as well.
00:11:26.000 I've lived in Mexico.
00:11:27.000 I've lived in Japan.
00:11:29.000 I've been to Thailand.
00:11:31.000 I've been all over this globe.
00:11:34.000 And I gotta tell you, whenever I come home, I want to kiss the ground.
00:11:38.000 I really do.
00:11:39.000 Because this is the only place where people truly, I think, even in the core of their being, on the cellular level, understand what it is to be free and independent.
00:11:48.000 And not to be under the thumb of somebody else.
00:11:51.000 And so we've got that heritage leaving these oppressive hell holes that our ancestors left for a variety of different reasons.
00:11:59.000 And coming over here, and then even once we got here, our ancestors had to stand up and do it again.
00:12:05.000 Hey, you British, uh-uh.
00:12:07.000 No, no, no.
00:12:08.000 The whole reason we left in the first place was we didn't want to be dealing with folks like you.
00:12:13.000 So, you know, when I see people like Alex Jones standing up on Piers Morgan, On that television program and saying, heck no, you can't, it's not going to work.
00:12:22.000 I've got to tell you, it does me proud, really, it does, to know that I live in a country where, especially as a woman, where men are real men.
00:12:33.000 And men are willing to stand up for what's right.
00:12:35.000 And I'm certainly, as a, you know, Bible-believing, wear-it-on-my-sleeve Christian, I'm absolutely a believer in praying for my enemies and turning the other cheek and doing all of that too.
00:12:45.000 But I also know that during World War II, when the Jews said, oh yeah, look how harmless we are, take our guns, go ahead, look, we're harmless, see, don't hurt us, that that attitude and that approach doesn't work.
00:12:59.000 So the only thing those folks understand, the only thing that the Nazis understood, was sheer brute force.
00:13:05.000 And that doesn't mean you initiated against them, but it certainly means that you show them that they cannot initiate force against you without a fight.
00:13:14.000 So I think that's really, really an important position.
00:13:16.000 I think they do a good job here in New Hampshire.
00:13:20.000 I live in the Free State, part of the Free State Project.
00:13:22.000 Check it out if you haven't already done so.
00:13:24.000 Liberty in our lifetime.
00:13:26.000 Thousands of people moving to New Hampshire to try to set up a free society right here.
00:13:31.000 And the symbol of the Free State Project is the porcupine.
00:13:35.000 And I like it because a porcupine, and we have them, I actually saw one in our local woods.
00:13:39.000 He scurried up a tree when I walked past with my dog.
00:13:43.000 The little porcupine, he doesn't want to mess with us.
00:13:45.000 You know, he saw my dog, he didn't say, oh yeah, I'm going to kick your rear end.
00:13:48.000 He said, ew, it's a dog, I'm just going to book it up this tree.
00:13:52.000 Leave me alone.
00:13:53.000 And yet, I'll tell you this, if he couldn't have gotten up the tree and my dog would have come at him, my dog would have been the worst in that encounter.
00:14:00.000 So the porcupine is a great symbol.
00:14:03.000 Kind of like the don't tread on me snake, you know, it sends a strong message of I don't want to be messed with, but if you mess with me it's not going to go well with you.
00:14:13.000 And I think that's really the core fundamental message.
00:14:16.000 So now let's talk about the U.S.
00:14:18.000 in contrast to some of the other countries out there.
00:14:20.000 And there's one country that has been in the news pretty considerably in the last couple of months, and that is North Korea.
00:14:26.000 You know, we just had a regime change over there, not much of one, Kim Jong-il passed away.
00:14:33.000 His son now, Kim Jong-un, you know, moon-faced Kim Jong-un, the one that The Onion parodied as having won the Time Magazine Sexiest Man of the Year.
00:14:44.000 Yeah, he's about as unsexy as they get.
00:14:47.000 But the Chinese newspaper, by the way, the People's Republic of China newspaper, actually bought that hook, line, and sinker and printed this breathless review that Kim Jong-un had been voted Sexiest Man of the Year until they realized they'd been had.
00:15:01.000 Totally snookered by the onion.
00:15:03.000 Kind of a fun story there.
00:15:04.000 But, yeah, Kim Jong-un, who, you know, we're still trying to kind of figure out what's up with that guy.
00:15:09.000 You know, he seems, he's got this big kind of baby face and doesn't smile very often and looks like he's been kind of, I don't know how to put it, maybe a little over-sheltered by his dad.
00:15:22.000 We'll see how all that turns out.
00:15:23.000 But he runs one of the most brutal dictatorships on the face of the globe, and that would be North Korea.
00:15:30.000 So when you think about North Korea, you have to think about freezing cold.
00:15:34.000 It's extraordinarily cold up there, especially in the wintertime.
00:15:37.000 It's like 15, 20, 30 below.
00:15:38.000 So it's really cold.
00:15:40.000 It is also really poor.
00:15:42.000 And when I say really poor, they don't have any of the advantages of a functional free market.
00:15:49.000 So if you go up to North Korea, not that you could get in because it is a militarized zone with all the borders closed down with well-armed That's the one thing they do spend money on is on their military.
00:16:03.000 You can't get into North Korea unless you're famous or unless you wind up getting arrested somehow near the border.
00:16:11.000 So North Korea is not a place that a lot of people get to go.
00:16:14.000 However, North Korea seems to be really, how would I call it, almost like trying to get international attention for itself in a variety of rather bizarre ways.
00:16:27.000 You can go online and my favorite, I'll see if I can find this, there's an absolutely hilarious video where somebody put some great music to the marching of all of their military, which they do every year.
00:16:39.000 At these huge get-togethers where they have thousands of kids come out and thousands of women in their brightly colored traditional dress dancing around and thousands of soldiers marching in the street and they march down the street with their bombs and their weapons and really make a show of it and make it seem like North Korea is a success.
00:16:58.000 The reality though, North Korea is the biggest failure on planet Earth.
00:17:04.000 The biggest failure, let me tell you right now, total deaths in North Korea, this is between 1994 and 1998, during their, just one of their famines, due to economic mismanagement and natural disasters.
00:17:17.000 They lost what some estimates say is up to 3.5 million members of their population to literal starvation.
00:17:25.000 People reduced to eating the bark on trees, people reduced to eating grass, And yet whenever somebody from the West goes out there with a camera, they set up these Potemkin villages.
00:17:34.000 A Potemkin village, you can start a page and look it up, is what they set up in the former Russia, or actually back in Russia.
00:17:44.000 The Potemkin villages were these fake villages designed to impress foreign dignitaries and especially Catherine the Great during her visit to Crimea.
00:17:56.000 And they set up these villages where you could just cruise on down and everybody was well-dressed and well-fed and smiling and there were curtains in the windows and beautiful flowers blooming in front of all these lovely doors.
00:18:06.000 But the reality was it was just a fake facade set up to impress when behind the scenes people were starving.
00:18:14.000 And the villages were absolutely destitute.
00:18:16.000 The people were dressed in rags and it was total misery.
00:18:19.000 So anytime you hear this phrase, kind of your 50 cent phrase of the day, the phrase Potemkin Village means a fake village designed to impress.
00:18:29.000 It's now used in politics and economics to describe really anything that is built solely to deceive others into thinking the situation is better than it is.
00:18:39.000 Well, you could say that North Korea It opens up its borders periodically to kind of portray this notion of being a wonderful, well-run, happy country filled with smiling, lovely women and children and military might.
00:18:55.000 But if you look behind the scenes, you'll see the starvation and the misery in that country.
00:19:00.000 If you have a cell phone in North Korea, I need to probably look at the exact penalty of this, but I know that cell phones are absolutely prohibited and they do have labor and concentration camps there for people who defy the regime in really any way.
00:19:16.000 So a cell phone, any access to the internet, this country is completely cut off from all technology.
00:19:22.000 Now, why am I telling you all of this, and what's going on in the news with North Korea?
00:19:26.000 Well, Dennis Rodman, of all people, all right?
00:19:29.000 Dennis Rodman, picture him, if you don't know who he is, Dennis Rodman, basketball player, he's the guy who would dye his hair, like, pink and green and crazy colors, if you picture Dennis Rodman.
00:19:41.000 Well, there's a photo of him now in the New York Times, sitting next to Kim Jong-un, and they're both smiling and laughing, watching a basketball game right there in North Korea.
00:19:52.000 Well, when we come back, I'll tell you about Dennis Rodman and also a couple other famous Americans, including a U.S.
00:19:52.000 All right.
00:19:59.000 billionaire and his daughter, who recently traveled to North Korea as well.
00:20:03.000 Details on that and more when we come back.
00:20:05.000 Stay tuned.

00:24:37.000 minds and commitments What's a leave-in What to leave out?
00:24:46.000 Against the wind We were running against the wind We found ourselves sinking shells Hey, I'm back.
00:25:00.000 Catherine Albert too with you.
00:25:01.000 Filling in for Alex Jones yesterday, today and Friday as he takes a well-deserved vacation.
00:25:08.000 Hopefully he's getting a massage somewhere on some beautiful island in the sunshine.
00:25:13.000 That's what I like to think at least.
00:25:15.000 We need him in top form.
00:25:17.000 So I'm delighted to be here with you sharing the news and some of the weirdest news like It's just bizarre.
00:25:24.000 We've got Dennis Rodman, of all people, kind of the clown of the NBA there with his brightly colored blue hair and yellow hair.
00:25:31.000 If you don't know who he is, look him up.
00:25:33.000 You will recognize him instantly because he's kind of an icon out there.
00:25:37.000 He is, let's see, how old is he?
00:25:39.000 He's 51 now.
00:25:41.000 And he went from being an NBA, American Hall of Fame professional basketball player, playing for the Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, LA Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks, onto a kind of He's done a whole bunch of stuff.
00:26:03.000 He actually put out an autobiography in 1996 called Bad as I Want to Be.
00:26:09.000 He pursued a high profile affair with Madonna and was briefly married to actress Carmen Electra from Baywatch fame.
00:26:16.000 Man, kind of a guy who's really flitted about and done a lot of things, but I've got to say he's even outdone himself here in terms of disgusting.
00:26:27.000 Traveling to North Korea, and when he got to North Korea, now this is kind of reminding me of Hanoi Jane, you know when Jane Fonda went and smiled and sat with the crew of an anti-aircraft What was it, an anti-aircraft gun?
00:26:43.000 And like literally sat there and smiled with the crew.
00:26:46.000 This is the anti-aircraft gun that was used to shoot down American pilots.
00:26:51.000 So, scary stuff.
00:26:52.000 You know, we've got people who do this kind of thing and think that they're being cool.
00:26:57.000 These celebrities who go, you know, over to these countries and put themselves into these positions.
00:27:02.000 Gotta say, a lot of American veterans look at Jane Fonda now and don't want to hear anything about her.
00:27:07.000 I would say that even though we're not at war with North Korea, that given the country's human rights record, that we really need to, I think, visit the same kind of shame on Dennis Rodman that was visited on Hanoi Jane, really.
00:27:22.000 Human rights in North Korea, heavily restricted, public executions, arbitrary detentions, A total ban on any access to the internet, cell phones, any modern technology.
00:27:34.000 People starving in their villages across the country.
00:27:38.000 And they've got this cult of personality in which their great leader is revered almost as a god.
00:27:43.000 He's like the celebrity of the entire country right now.
00:27:46.000 That's Kim Jong Un, the son of recently deceased leader Kim Jong Il.
00:27:51.000 And now you've got Dennis Rodman here in all of these public publicity photos laughing, sitting there, having a great old time.
00:27:57.000 And let me read some of these quotes here.
00:28:00.000 The company that set this up, not surprisingly, is called Vice Media.
00:28:05.000 That doesn't surprise me in the least.
00:28:06.000 Vice Media, a film crew.
00:28:09.000 Had Rodman and the Harlem Globetrotters head out there.
00:28:12.000 Apparently Kim Jong-un is a big fan of basketball, as was his father.
00:28:17.000 And the group got into Pyongyang earlier this week, let's see, last week, with approval to film a documentary.
00:28:25.000 Now, let me read you some of the quotes here from the New York Times.
00:28:27.000 Apparently he had a blast at the game.
00:28:30.000 So Kim Jong-un invited them back to his home for a party, and they had a grand old time.
00:28:37.000 Speeches were made, Dennis made a very nice one, and they were met with rounds of applause.
00:28:43.000 Yeah, they invited him back to his home for a party and had a grand old time.
00:28:48.000 This is a direct quote from the guy who set the film trip up.
00:28:52.000 Very bizarre.
00:28:54.000 Alright, one other thing I want to read you here.
00:28:56.000 At the very end, Kim expressed to Rodman he hoped that their visit would improve North Korean-American relations.
00:29:04.000 Rodman spent the game watching from a courtside table with Kim.
00:29:07.000 He also gave a speech to the crowd in which he told Kim, quote, you have a friend for life.
00:29:13.000 Now, how much do you think Dennis Rodman really understands about international politics or history or really anything else about North Korea for that matter?
00:29:21.000 Probably extremely little.
00:29:24.000 And yet now we've got all these images coming out of North Korea, and they thrive on this kind of stuff.
00:29:28.000 Hey, look, we're just friendly folks.
00:29:30.000 You know, nothing to see here.
00:29:32.000 Look, we've got this beautiful country, happy, smiling people.
00:29:35.000 Look, even Dennis Rodman's having a great time.
00:29:37.000 We're just party animals over here in North Korea.
00:29:39.000 What they don't tell you is about the torture camps that they run.
00:29:43.000 Yeah.
00:29:44.000 All right, stay tuned.
00:29:45.000 I'm Katherine Albrecht, Dr. Katherine Albrecht.

00:31:09.000 A little over a year ago, I began to do a lot of research into why, even though I had a pretty good-sized meal, that I was still starving.
00:31:16.000 And my research led me to a well-known fact that most of the soils that we grow our crops on here in the United States and across the industrialized world are almost completely depleted of almost all of the key minerals and trace elements that our bodies need to rebuild themselves, fight off cancer, and be healthy.
00:31:34.000 I then searched out the best vitamin and mineral company out there.
00:31:38.000 And discovered Young-Jevity.
00:31:40.000 The Young-Jevity products are designed to give you the real nutrition you need, and once you've got that, you don't have to eat as much to be satisfied.

00:34:22.000 Well, my least favorite things. - Yes.
00:34:28.000 I've thought of re-recording that.
00:34:30.000 I don't know.
00:34:31.000 It's ironic.
00:34:31.000 Yeah, my favorite things.
00:34:33.000 If you're not familiar with my work, I am the anti-RFID lady.
00:34:37.000 I've been working to oppose consumer privacy invasion since 1999.
00:34:42.000 Founded the consumer privacy group, Caspian, which has, at last count, I think we had like 20,000 people who'd sign up to be part of our consumer army opposing the use of RFID spy chips in consumer products.
00:34:55.000 I am the co-author of the best-selling book, Spy Chips.
00:34:58.000 If you don't have a copy, swing by your local library and just get it and read it for free.
00:35:02.000 But I want you to be up to speed on it because all of the developments happening with RFID are every bit as relevant today as when we first wrote about them.
00:35:11.000 In fact, I would say even more so today.
00:35:13.000 Lots of stuff happening on the RFID front, and you can find more information about all of that through my own radio program, which broadcasts Monday through Friday, 3 to 5 p.m., Central Time.
00:35:24.000 You can find it on my website, kmashow.com.
00:35:27.000 You can also find it at gcnlive.com.
00:35:30.000 Alex and I are on the exact same radio network.

00:36:15.000 You know, if they're telling it to you, you're really in trouble.
00:36:19.000 All right.
00:36:19.000 Yeah.
00:36:19.000 eFoodsDirect.
00:36:20.000 Yongevity.
00:36:21.000 Yongevity, of course.
00:36:23.000 Whole family of health products there for you at InfoWarsHealth.com.
00:36:28.000 And then finally, I want to put in a plug for the company that I helped to create, and that is StartPage.com, the private alternative to Google.
00:36:35.000 Yahoo and Bing, if you haven't taken the Google needle out of your arm yet, please consider doing so because every time you log on to Google, Google makes a record of everything you searched for.
00:36:45.000 Google is not a search engine designed to give you answers to all your questions for free.
00:36:50.000 Google is a honeypot.
00:36:53.000 It's a trap.
00:36:54.000 Yeah, that's what it is.
00:36:54.000 It wants you to log on multiple times a day and tell it what you're thinking.
00:37:00.000 How do you think it is that Google, this is a perfect segue here, that Google, what is he, CEO Eric Schmidt, has now become a billionaire?
00:37:11.000 He is about to sell 40% of his stock for over $2 billion, if he hasn't already done so.
00:37:16.000 I think he's in the process of doing that right now.
00:37:19.000 Eric Schmidt becoming a billionaire on the backs of all of us, really, because every time we log on to Google and we make a search, They say, uh-huh, got a live one.
00:37:29.000 See, they've got a file with all of our names at the top.
00:37:32.000 And in that file, they know every single thing you have ever searched for on Google.
00:37:36.000 The good news is if you can stand...
00:37:39.000 Being away from Google for nine months, about the time it takes for a lady to have a baby.
00:37:42.000 If you can stay away for nine months, then you drop off of their active surveillance list and you drop into kind of a background list where they say they kind of encrypt it and they sort of put it away out of sight.
00:37:54.000 So if you can stay away from Google for nine months, you can get out of the active eyeball that is searching you from Google.
00:38:00.000 And the best way to do that is StartPage.com, the world's most private search engine.
00:38:03.000 I helped to create it so I can vouch for it.
00:38:06.000 When you search with StartPage, it searches Google for you.
00:38:09.000 What we do is we take your search term, submit it to Google, strip out all identifying information about you, we get the results back from Google and strip out all of their tracking cookies and other surveillanceware, and then we serve you those results in total privacy, and then we delete all records of your visit.
00:38:28.000 So even if there were a subpoena, or a warrant, or God forbid a hacker, who knows what, were to get into the StartPage servers, there would be literally no information on you whatsoever.
00:38:37.000 StartPage.com, check it out.
00:38:39.000 Take the two-week StartPage challenge and pull that Google needle out of your arm.
00:38:44.000 Alright, well speaking of Google and Eric Schmidt, the other, I was telling you that there was a billionaire who recently went to North Korea, and that billionaire was Eric Schmidt and his daughter Sophie, grown woman, Put together a fascinating blog on what it's like to actually be in North Korea.
00:39:02.000 So I encourage you to check it out.
00:39:04.000 It's called Sophie in North Korea.
00:39:05.000 You can start page it.
00:39:06.000 We don't say Google around here because that's billions of dollars of free advertising.
00:39:10.000 We say start page it.
00:39:11.000 Start page Sophie in North Korea and it's called It Might Not Get Weirder Than This and she blogged about her trip to North Korea and all the bizarre things that she experienced from her arrival Through all the traveling, the lodgings, the everything else, and the Potemkin Village, essentially, that was set up for their visit.
00:39:32.000 So check it out.
00:39:33.000 Fascinating reading.
00:39:34.000 I wish I had a little more time to go into it, but we've got a lot more to cover here.
00:39:38.000 So yes, the Schmitts go into North Korea in January.
00:39:41.000 Now we've got Dennis Rodman over there.
00:39:43.000 And breaking news right now, coming out just today, North Korea, maybe they are emboldened by all these American high-profile folks visiting them.
00:39:52.000 They have vowed to cancel the Korean War ceasefire.
00:39:57.000 Mind-blowing.
00:39:58.000 This literally just came out from Associated Press.
00:40:00.000 They have vowed today to cancel the 1953 ceasefire that ended the Korean War.
00:40:05.000 Now this is bizarre because you'd think a war that was fought in the 50s would just kind of be done and over, but it's not.
00:40:11.000 At least not according to North Korea.
00:40:13.000 They're vowing that on, let's see, within just a couple of days, they're going to lift the ceasefire, which would put them back into a state of war with South Korea.
00:40:25.000 Isn't this wild?
00:40:26.000 Yeah, let me read you this.
00:40:27.000 North Korea vowed Tuesday, this is the Associated Press, that's today, To cancel the 1953 ceasefire that ended the Korean War, citing a U.S.-led push for punishing U.N.
00:40:37.000 sanctions over its recent nuclear test and ongoing U.S.-South Korean joint military drills.
00:40:45.000 Without elaborating, the Korean People's Army Supreme Command, that would be the North Korean military there,
00:40:52.000 This comes amid reports that Washington and North Korean ally Beijing have approved a draft of a UN Security Council resolution calling for sanctions in response to that nuclear test that North Korea did just a couple of weeks ago.
00:41:18.000 All right, well that's a draft circulating around North Korea becoming a bit emboldened, saying that they're about to go back to war with South Korea.
00:41:26.000 All right, we'll be watching this one closely.
00:41:27.000 I'm sure Alex will keep you posted on all the developments there.
00:41:31.000 All right, speaking of Alex, and man, I miss that guy.
00:41:34.000 Well, speaking of Alex, he was in the news lately.
00:41:38.000 In fact, Louis Farrakhan, head of the Nation of Islam, recently gave a speech in which he had something to say about Alex Jones.
00:41:47.000 Let's go ahead and listen to the clip.
00:41:50.000 They are angry with their government.
00:41:54.000 And I saw a Mr. Alex Jones on television recently with Piers Morgan of CNN.
00:42:06.000 And he said, before we allow you to take our guns from us, 1776 will play out again.
00:42:22.000 We intend to return America not to a democracy.
00:42:27.000 You are lying to the American people.
00:42:30.000 You're robbing them of democracy.
00:42:33.000 This is not a democracy.
00:42:35.000 This is an oligarchy that is leading America into fascism.
00:42:42.000 Yes.
00:42:44.000 You're stripping the American people of their rights in the name of fighting terror.
00:42:52.000 You are the terrorists using your weapons of war and your mighty arsenal to terrorize the nations of the earth to submit to you and your wicked policies of divide and conquer.
00:43:10.000 Alright, well say what you will about Louis Farrakhan, you gotta say he's got this particular one right.
00:43:15.000 Yeah, he saw Alex Jones on Piers Morgan too.
00:43:18.000 Wasn't it like, I gotta say, I'm sure someday when all of the media pundits go back and all of the academic professors who do media studies go back and look at the top ten pivotal moments on American television, or even global television, That interview is going to have to be right up there where Alex Jones really gave Pierce Morgan a piece of his mind in terms of the Second Amendment.
00:43:42.000 I've got to tell you, even Louis Farrakhan talking about this, saying that we've got some real issues here and if they make an attempt to take away people's guns and their Second Amendment rights that there will be a civil war.
00:43:58.000 This is part of a longer speech, by the way, called The Mark of the Beast.
00:44:02.000 It's actually a lecture that Louis Farrakhan gave on The Mark of the Beast.
00:44:04.000 Now, he's the head of the Nation of Islam, kind of an interesting political character in his own right.
00:44:10.000 Very controversial.
00:44:11.000 I disagree with a lot of what he's about and agree with other pieces.
00:44:15.000 But he's talking about the state of the world at this moment and this particular excerpt is from a series of lectures called The Time and What Must Be Done.
00:44:25.000 He refers to Elijah Muhammad saying France is headed towards destruction.
00:44:29.000 He speaks out about AFRICOM and how America went in to kill his quote brother Gaddafi and about how America pits people and races against one another in a divide and conquer That's how they've done it.
00:44:46.000 And the they, by the way, I've got a phrase for them.
00:44:49.000 You ready for this?
00:44:49.000 Yeah, you can call them the global elite.
00:44:51.000 You can call them the Illuminati.
00:44:53.000 You can call them the, the, the, the banksters.
00:44:56.000 You can call them whatever you want.
00:44:57.000 But I refer to them as the pawn scum.
00:45:00.000 And the reason I use that phrase is I went to Harvard.
00:45:03.000 I went to elite prep schools.
00:45:05.000 I've hung out with these people.
00:45:07.000 And they really view themselves as the cream that has risen to the top.
00:45:11.000 I used to get organic raw milk from a local farm here in New Hampshire.
00:45:15.000 And the cream literally would rise to the top, which our grandparents' milk would be that way before they homogenized it.
00:45:20.000 So you have this cream, and you could skim it off the top, and you can whip it up.
00:45:23.000 It's wonderful, fresh, organic cream.
00:45:25.000 Well, I think that these folks who run the world view themselves as being that cream that's risen to the top, you know, sort of the cream of the crop, the top one percent, however they view themselves.
00:45:36.000 But I view them as the slime that has risen to the top of the pond.
00:45:41.000 See, I live in New Hampshire, we're the granite state up here.
00:45:44.000 Our whole landscape is basically granite.
00:45:47.000 It was really tough for our ancestors to plow this land because it's full of rocks and boulders and such.
00:45:53.000 But when it rains, the depressions in the granite collect the water.
00:45:58.000 And so we are covered, this entire state is covered with ponds and little lakes and lots of water.
00:46:04.000 And at a certain point in the summertime, that water, especially if it's getting runoff from the fertilizer people put on their lawns, that water becomes green and it has a thick match of slime on the top.
00:46:17.000 And I refer to that as the pond scum.
00:46:19.000 And that thick mat of slime I think of as the people who would rule over the rest of us are the pond scum choking out the light and the oxygen and all of the food from the other 99% of us underneath as we're gasping.
00:46:35.000 And what we need to do periodically in New Hampshire, we go out with these big rakes and we just scrape that stuff off and let the sunlight circulate.
00:46:42.000 And I think that's probably what we need to do as a society as well.
00:46:46.000 Vote the bums out of office and really, really let some sunshine and oxygen back in.
00:46:51.000 All right, well, this reminded me, you know, Lewis Farrakhan talking about the Second Amendment, and then we've also got Eric Schmidt and Dennis Rodman over there telling Kim Jong-il he's got a friend for life.
00:47:04.000 Well, it was reminding me of Harry Belafonte.
00:47:06.000 You remember a couple of weeks ago, Harry Belafonte came out with a couple of statements about Obama?
00:47:11.000 And speaking of third world dictators, Harry Belafonte, another, I guess, celebrity who wants to ride the coattails of some of these things.
00:47:20.000 Do you remember when he came out and actually said Obama should act like a third world dictator and just put all his opponents in jail?
00:47:26.000 I think I've got the clip queued up.
00:47:27.000 Let's listen to that one again.
00:47:31.000 You fought for decades for some of the, quote, entitlements that the right wing wants to try and balance this budget, balance the deficit off of.
00:47:43.000 As you look at this, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, you've been an activist leader from Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, through Dr. King, through Mandela, to Obama.
00:47:56.000 How do you view this, and what is the challenge for those that are on the field today?
00:48:02.000 What I think has most attracted me to this whole process is watching the political maturity of the American people.
00:48:10.000 Because there was a great question during the first election as to whether or not Barack would even be elected.
00:48:16.000 And after the turnout so emphatically put him in the presidency, it was interesting to watch the second turn.
00:48:23.000 When everybody really didn't quite know what the game would be.
00:48:27.000 Well, the American people, in their maturity, declared themselves fully.
00:48:31.000 We want what Barack Obama is talking about.
00:48:34.000 We want the country to go in that direction.
00:48:37.000 And what fascinates me is that in the face of millions of Americans expressing their desire, the whole political establishment defining its game, That there should be this lingering infestation of really corrupt people who sit trying to dismantle the wishes of the people, the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama.
00:49:02.000 And I don't know what more they want.
00:49:04.000 The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a third world dictator and just put all these guys in jail.
00:49:12.000 You're violating the American desire.
00:49:15.000 Yeah, the American people in their maturity... I'm choking, excuse me, it's hard to even say those words.
00:49:24.000 The American people in their maturity elected Barack Obama for a second term and what he needs to do is act like a third world dictator and put all of his critics in jail.
00:49:35.000 Okay, well, this kind of seems like what's going on with the celebrity mentality right now.
00:49:39.000 You know, you've got Dennis Rodman over there saying to Kim Jong-un, you've got a friend for life.
00:49:45.000 Even though North Korea, right on the heels of that great basketball game and the big honking party that they just threw there for Dennis Rodman and everybody, you know, doing the Jun.
00:49:54.000 K dance, You know, he's now turning around and saying, oh yeah, and by the way, we're going to strip off the ceasefire.
00:50:00.000 So not only are we going to brutalize our own people, but now we're going to start brutalizing the rest of the world with our armaments, our nukes here.
00:50:09.000 Yeah, thank you.
00:50:10.000 And then we've got Harry Belafonte going out there saying, oh yeah, Barack Obama, he's just got to become a third world dictator.
00:50:17.000 Do these people not understand what third world dictators are about?
00:50:21.000 Clearly, they must not.
00:50:22.000 Yeah, third world dictators, scary, scary people and not the people you want running your world.
00:50:27.000 Maybe not the people you want, I don't know, giving you fame and fortune out there.
00:50:32.000 So Dennis Rodman, shame on you.
00:50:33.000 All right.
00:50:35.000 I am your host, Dr. Kathryn Albrecht, and my website, KMAShow.com, of course, I want to encourage you to swing by InfoWars.

00:54:41.000 Tell them, that it ain't me.

00:54:46.000 It ain't me, no.
00:54:48.000 I ain't no sin in this sun.
00:54:51.000 You got me?
00:54:53.000 It ain't me, no.
00:54:56.000 It ain't me.
00:54:58.000 I ain't the fortunate one.
00:55:02.000 Yay, I'm back.
00:55:04.000 Katherine Albrecht here.
00:55:05.000 No senator's son or daughter, for that matter.
00:55:08.000 Gotta point out, you know, when I say, yeah, I went to elite prep schools.
00:55:11.000 Well, one year.
00:55:13.000 Ninth grade.
00:55:14.000 Full scholarship.
00:55:15.000 Yeah, my parents were divorced.
00:55:16.000 We had no money.
00:55:18.000 And my single parenting mom reached out to our local prep school and said, maybe I can give my daughter a little better start in life, and had me go in and take the test.
00:55:27.000 And I was your typical, like, sullen 14-year-old with my arms folded across my chest.
00:55:32.000 But apparently I did pretty well on the test because they let me in.
00:55:35.000 So I had an interesting year that year.
00:55:38.000 Well, all my friends at the school never really became close friends, but they were all going off to Cotillion, and they were all going off to ski trips in the Swiss Alps to their second homes, and they were all having coming-out parties and doing all of these things.
00:55:52.000 And, you know, there we were trying to survive on brown rice.
00:55:56.000 So don't be thinking as I say things like that.
00:56:00.000 Oh yeah, Catherine grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth.
00:56:02.000 I really didn't.
00:56:03.000 But it gave me a real insight into how the Senator's sons are educated.
00:56:10.000 They don't go to the schools that your kids go to.
00:56:12.000 Well, maybe your kids go to one of those schools, but they don't go to the schools that they want everybody else's kids at.
00:56:17.000 You know, the government schools that they want the rest of everybody to attend are schools they wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, believe me.
00:56:24.000 They've got their kids going to Phillips-Exeter and Phillips-Andover and all the elite prep schools, and they get a very different education.
00:56:33.000 Very different.
00:56:34.000 In fact, they're educated to be leaders.
00:56:36.000 They're educated to think independently, to think their own thoughts, as opposed to being educated to sit down and shut up and follow the rules.
00:56:45.000 Nowhere else are you going to find, anywhere in history, a period of time in which an entire multiple generations of young people, literally millions of people, sons and daughters, are placed into a bureaucratic, government-run institution in large numbers, almost a factory that cranks them out, as you would.
00:57:06.000 And there on the assembly line, teaches them to be quiet.
00:57:11.000 Teaches them to keep their mouth shut.
00:57:13.000 Teaches them to keep their heads low.
00:57:15.000 Teaches them to obey authority.
00:57:16.000 To ask permission for every last... Hey, excuse me, Mrs. Johnson, can I get a Kleenex, please?
00:57:23.000 My nose is running.
00:57:25.000 Excuse me, Mr. Patterson, can I use the bathroom?
00:57:28.000 I have to pee.
00:57:30.000 Right?
00:57:31.000 That kind of training is not good for liberty.
00:57:34.000 I can tell you it's not.
00:57:35.000 And I know what I'm talking about.
00:57:37.000 I've got a doctorate in education from Harvard University.
00:57:39.000 That's what I wound up actually doing there.
00:57:42.000 And I've taught in classrooms.
00:57:44.000 I've taught independently.
00:57:45.000 I've been an educational consultant.
00:57:46.000 I've spent most of my life in one version or another doing education, as I believe that my radio show still is.
00:57:53.000 Probably the most potent form of education I've ever done.
00:57:56.000 But as an educator, I can say, if you want to educate your kids to liberty, you're not going to be finding that education as they sit there in a government-run institution.
00:58:06.000 You know, and as I'm thinking about North Korea, I don't know what their educational system is like there.
00:58:10.000 It would be very interesting to find out, because how is it that they get the entire nation falling at the feet of their great leader, who's starving them to death?
00:58:20.000 Yeah, and threatening his neighbors.
00:58:21.000 Ooh, nasty stuff.
00:58:23.000 All right, let's see.
00:58:24.000 Well, we're going to change gears just a little bit when we come back.
00:58:27.000 Talk about how people become evil.
00:58:30.000 Yeah, it's a little easier than you might think, and it ties right into our conversation about North Korea.
00:58:35.000 Right, I'm Dr. Kathryn Albrecht, filling in for Alex Jones.
00:58:38.000 Be with you here for the next two hours.
00:58:39.000 Thanks for riding shotgun with me.

00:58:41.000 tuned.

00:58:42.000 I'll be right back.

01:00:25.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.
01:00:29.000 Dan Kaplan-Albert here with you, filling in for Alex Jones as he gets a much-deserved vacation.
01:00:45.000 Let's hope he's taking it easy.
01:00:46.000 I have a feeling he isn't.
01:00:48.000 But let's all wish a little calm and relaxation.
01:00:51.000 Maybe a nice massage, maybe a lovely dinner with his lovely family.
01:00:56.000 Just a little deep breath time.
01:00:58.000 Yeah, for all of us, you think?
01:00:59.000 Yeah, I think every once in a while we do need that.
01:01:01.000 We've got to regroup because we've got a battle to fight out there.
01:01:05.000 We've got some really determined enemies.
01:01:07.000 They seem to never rest.
01:01:09.000 But I'll tell you this, if you never rest, you're going to find yourself wearing out.
01:01:12.000 And we can't do that before the finish line.
01:01:14.000 I need you guys all out there tanned, rested, ready, well-informed, well-educated, and positive.
01:01:21.000 Right?
01:01:21.000 We've got to keep that light going out there.
01:01:23.000 Because the only way you can fight darkness, my friends, is by turning on a light.
01:01:27.000 You know, if you're standing in a cave, and everybody's groping around in the dark, How are you going to fight that?
01:01:32.000 Are you going to blast it with more dark?
01:01:34.000 No, you just light a candle.
01:01:36.000 You just turn on your flashlight.
01:01:37.000 You just pull the switch, you know, flip the switch, turn on the 60 watt bulb.
01:01:41.000 Hopefully incandescent, thank you, not a mercury bulb.
01:01:44.000 And then boom, what happens?
01:01:46.000 All of a sudden the darkness can't stick around because darkness in the face of light must flee.
01:01:51.000 You know, there's no such thing as a darkness gun.
01:01:54.000 Like, if you have a room full of light, you can't aim dark into it and make it go away.
01:01:58.000 But if you have a room full of dark, you can aim light into it, and boom, it's gotta flee.
01:02:02.000 So, I always say the best way to fight, and I gotta remind myself, so I'm preaching to the choir here and I'm preaching to my own self, that when we face these dark themes, and I've been facing them since 1999, Alex has been facing them even longer, The only way that you can keep yourself from just going crazy and, you know, getting your blood pressure up and your panties in a bunch, as they say, is really focus on, alright, how can I bring light into the situation?
01:02:30.000 How can we make this better?
01:02:32.000 And that doesn't mean don't be prepared.
01:02:33.000 That doesn't mean roll over and show the bad guys your belly.
01:02:36.000 At all, by any stretch.
01:02:38.000 Believe me, I'm so glad Alex is on our team.
01:02:41.000 You gotta be tough, but you also gotta figure out how to bring goodness.
01:02:44.000 Alright.
01:02:45.000 Well, to give us a better understanding of how the world gets into these crazy places, I've invited my guest for this hour, Philip G. Zimbardo, Professor Zimbardo, onto the show to talk to us about how people turn evil.
01:02:58.000 What I think you'll find fascinating in this hour interview with Dr. Zimbardo is that they don't turn evil because they were born that way.
01:03:06.000 That it's actually a conditioning process that is almost like hardwired into the human psychology.
01:03:12.000 And all it takes is for the right set of circumstances to bring that out in really anybody.
01:03:18.000 Well, Philip G. Zimbardo, he's an internationally recognized scholar, he's an educator, he's a researcher, and a media personality.
01:03:25.000 He's won numerous awards and honors in each of these domains.
01:03:28.000 He's been a university professor at Stanford University since 1968.
01:03:33.000 He also has taught at Yale, NYU, and Columbia.
01:03:37.000 He is perhaps best noted for giving psychology away to the public through his popular PBS TV series called Discovering Psychology.
01:03:46.000 He's also written many text and trade books among his 300 publications.
01:03:51.000 Man, this is a guy who does not rest.
01:03:53.000 He was recently president of the American Psychological Association, so he's an absolute expert who knows of what he speaks.
01:04:00.000 Dr. Zimbardo, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the program.
01:04:03.000 Hello.
01:04:03.000 Hello.
01:04:04.000 It's my pleasure to be here in New York.
01:04:06.000 I'm a New Yorker, but I've been living in San Francisco, and I just, again, enjoy the energy of this city.
01:04:14.000 Now you're a keynote speaker at an event there.

01:04:19.000 Yes.
01:04:19.000 I just finished giving a keynote address to the Eastern Psychological Association, which is all the psychologists on the East Coast.

01:04:40.000 All right.
01:04:41.000 But I also gave a lecture yesterday at Fordham University in the Bronx.

01:08:25.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.
01:08:30.000 Say hello.
01:08:38.000 Catherine Auburn here filling in for Alex Jones.
01:08:40.000 Peace.
01:08:41.000 Yesterday, today, and Friday.
01:08:43.000 So glad to be with you guys, and it's so glad, I'm so delighted.
01:08:47.000 Here in really the heart of the Liberty Movement, it is such an honor to be able to fill in metaphorically and stand in Alex Jones's enormous shoes.
01:08:57.000 And I know that he's been, literally since back in the 1990s, when I first became politically aware, Alex Jones was out there in the wilderness getting this message out.
01:09:08.000 Now he's got millions of listeners and that's not an exaggeration.
01:09:13.000 I know that there are millions of you out there.
01:09:15.000 I know that you guys are all on the edge of your seats waiting to see what's going to unfold next in this country.
01:09:24.000 One of the things I've got to figure out as I'm thinking about who to pray for, you know I am a wear it on my sleeve Christian here, I've got to figure out who to pray for in terms of really who are the enemies and how do they get to be what they are and where they are.
01:09:36.000 A little bit in the last hour we talked about some of the nations across the globe that are doing really rotten things and I'm thinking here specifically of North Korea where they have torture camps set up.
01:09:46.000 Where you can be disappeared in the middle of the night.
01:09:49.000 And one of the questions, of course, anytime you really stare into the face of evil, is you ask yourself, whether it's Nazi prison guards, whether it is North Korean torture chamber operators, whether it is even Americans, God forbid, and Abu Ghraib and other places, you say, what is it?
01:10:09.000 How do they find those people?
01:10:11.000 What do they do?
01:10:12.000 Do they comb the entire population looking for the most evil people they can find to populate these prisons and become the guards?
01:10:19.000 Well, if you look at the answer psychologically, what you'll actually find is that those folks are us.
01:10:26.000 They're regular people.
01:10:28.000 And I like to think I would never, no matter what circumstances you put me in, become some kind of evil torturer.
01:10:34.000 But one of the shocking things that's come out of the literature, and really trying to understand how we got Nazi Germany and how we got North Korea, is that there is deep inside of human psychology some buttons that if you press them the right way and people are not on their guard against this within themselves, that they themselves can become torturers.
01:10:53.000 All right.
01:10:54.000 Well, one of the folks who's done, I believe, the best job of explaining this phenomenon and maybe helping us to understand how to turn it around and prevent it is my guest this hour, Dr. Philip Zimbardo.
01:11:05.000 He's an internationally recognized scholar, educator, researcher, and media personality.
01:11:10.000 He's been a professor at Stanford University since 1968.
01:11:14.000 He's taught at Yale, Columbia, and elsewhere.
01:11:17.000 And he has published over 300 publications.
01:11:21.000 He was recently the president of the American Psychological Association, and he is joining us live from New York, where he just delivered the keynote address to the group of Eastern psychologists.
01:11:32.000 Hello, Dr. Zimbardo.
01:11:33.000 Hello, glad to be with you.
01:11:35.000 Great to have you here.
01:11:36.000 Now, I know that your research spans the gamut.
01:11:41.000 In your lengthy career, you've covered so many different topics.
01:11:45.000 In the last hour on the show, I was talking about what's going on over in North Korea.
01:11:49.000 You know, we've got Dennis Rodman over there rubbing elbows with Kim Jong-un.
01:11:55.000 going to parties and saying Kim Jong-un has a friend for life and kind of some weird stuff going on in the media.
01:12:01.000 But when we think about North Korea, which, by the way, also just today announced that they're going to reverse the ceasefire, the 1953 ceasefire against South Korea, you've got to say, well, hang on a second, that's a brutal regime.
01:12:14.000 They've got people in prison camps there that are tortured regularly up in North Korea.
01:12:19.000 And I wanted to bring you on because of your psychological insights into what leads people to torture.
01:12:25.000 You did a series of experiments at one point, the prison experiments, that I think shed some light on that.
01:12:32.000 Can you give us an overview of what you've learned and what you learned from the prison experiments?
01:12:37.000 Yeah, I'd be happy to do that.
01:12:38.000 And I appreciate your introduction to your audience.
01:12:42.000 I think I have to begin by focusing on, you know, it's a wrong question to ask, who are those evil people?
01:12:50.000 There's no question that people do bad things, evil things.
01:12:55.000 Torture is among the bad things people do.
01:12:58.000 But so is prejudice and discrimination.
01:12:59.000 So is bullying.
01:13:01.000 And so I've been obsessed with the question of why do good people turn evil, not why do bad people do bad things.
01:13:09.000 And I started actually as a kid asking that question because I grew up in a ghetto in the South Bronx in poverty in New York.
01:13:16.000 If you grew up in a city anywhere in the world, you're surrounded by people whose job it is to get good kids to do bad things for money.
01:13:24.000 And so I always wondered as a kid, how come some of my friends took the bad path and I and some other kids took the good path, the right path?
01:13:33.000 And so again, even as a kid, I realized that evil is not in people.
01:13:39.000 Evil is in situations.
01:13:41.000 So that if you grow up privileged, you don't have those negative influence agents around you to tempt you to do bad things.
01:13:50.000 And so now we're talking about, for example, Abu Ghraib, this infamous prison that really denigrated America's image to the world, because what we saw in those few images were young American
01:14:09.000 prison guards, men and women for the first time, not only abusing prisons but apparently taking delight in it, smiling, giving high-fives, having prisoners in horrific positions, piled up naked and so forth, dragging them around by leash.
01:14:23.000 And so when I saw that, that reminded me of my Stanford prison study, which I did back in 1971.
01:14:30.000 And the question I ask is, what happens if you put good people in a bad place?
01:14:35.000 What happens if you put good apples in a bad barrel?
01:14:38.000 And so the study was, we had 24 college students from all over the United States who were in the San Francisco area in the summer.
01:14:49.000 And, uh, they answered an ad to be part of a study of prison life for two weeks, to go for two weeks.
01:14:55.000 We randomly assigned have-to-be-guards, have-to-be-prisoners, have-to-be-police-selected, the ones who are most normal, most healthy, psychologically and physically.
01:15:03.000 And then we gave them uniforms, and we put them in a very realistic kind of psychological prison.
01:15:11.000 Uh, and what that means is, with, you know, bars on their doors and solitary confinement, And all the accoutrements of a prison.
01:15:18.000 We had local police arrest them, arrest the prisoners, bring them to the real jail and then to our jail.
01:15:25.000 We had prison chaplain and public defenders and parole board hearings and visiting days.
01:15:31.000 So essentially I created a very realistic simulation.
01:15:35.000 And the idea was to observe what happens when a good kid happens to be put in the role of guard and another good kid happens to be put in the role of prisoner.
01:15:43.000 And to make a long experiment, and the prisoners of course lived there 24-7, the guards worked 8-hour shifts.
01:15:51.000 What happened is within two days, the first normal healthy college student prisoner had an emotional breakdown.
01:15:58.000 And each day thereafter, another prisoner had a breakdown in the same way.
01:16:02.000 How could that be?
01:16:03.000 Well, they were responding to the sadistic, brutal behavior of their guards.
01:16:09.000 And essentially what happened was, The boys in the role of guards begin to do what guards do, is to use power to dominate, to treat the prisoners as if they were their puppets.
01:16:21.000 In fact, that's the phrase one of the guards used.
01:16:24.000 We're like puppeteers and they are our puppets.
01:16:26.000 Because any prison setting is about one thing.
01:16:29.000 It's about power.
01:16:30.000 So that if you're in the guard role, you have to constantly demonstrate you have power over the prisoners, which means you have to impress upon them that they have none.
01:16:41.000 And any attempt by prisoners to have more power is treated with punishment, with abuse.
01:16:46.000 And the prisoner guard metaphor is a metaphor of life, it's not just prison.
01:16:51.000 You see this in some marital relationships, you see this in some teacher-student relationships, etc.
01:16:58.000 And so I had to end the study after six days.
01:17:00.000 We couldn't go the full two weeks because it was out of control.
01:17:05.000 Yeah, and when you talk about out of control, I know that the prisoners themselves were responding by having breakdowns.
01:17:12.000 What were the prison guards doing?
01:17:15.000 The prison guards were enjoying their power.
01:17:20.000 See, again, most people have a minimal amount of power.
01:17:24.000 I mean, if you're rich, you have some monetary power.
01:17:27.000 If you're big, you have power over little kids, little people.
01:17:32.000 The guards were really acting like big bullies, you know, for the first time.
01:17:36.000 They were enjoying the exercise of power.
01:17:40.000 And really, that is at the core of what you mean by evil.
01:17:42.000 Evil is the exercise and abuse of power to intentionally harm other people in various ways.
01:17:49.000 Now, the key message for your audience is that what my study showed, and what an earlier study by Stanley Milgram, who is my high school classmate in the Bronx, he did a famous study where he had men, not college students, men 20 he did a famous study where he had men, not college students, men 20 to 50 years old, think that they were being a teacher, teaching their student a lesson by punishing the student whenever
01:18:18.000 And two-thirds of those ordinary young men Delivered up to 450 rolls of what they thought was almost lethal shock.
01:18:29.000 Of course, the person who was pretending to be the learner, the student, was not actually getting the shock, but the person delivering it thought he was.
01:18:37.000 You know, so again, the Milgram study and the Zimbardo Stanford Prison study together say what we have to be aware of is how much our individual behavior is under the influence of situational forces.
01:18:51.000 In the Milgram study, it was an authority, a guy in a lab coat saying, you must go on.
01:18:56.000 It was putting people in a role.
01:18:57.000 You're a teacher, you're a student.
01:18:58.000 In my study, it was you're in the role of prisoner or guard.
01:19:01.000 You're in a setting which encourages guards to dominate prisoners.
01:19:06.000 And in my study, we had to have uniforms.
01:19:09.000 Guards had elaborate military uniforms.
01:19:11.000 Prisoners had demeaning uniforms.
01:19:15.000 So again, The people we chose in my study were really good apples, and we put them in a really bad barrel.
01:19:24.000 And the sad message is, bad barrels.
01:19:27.000 Corrupt most good people.
01:19:29.000 Not all, but most.
01:19:31.000 And so, again, the message, and this was true in Abu Ghraib.
01:19:35.000 You know, in Abu Ghraib, just to bring some of the audience up to date, in 2004, we were shocked, the whole world, especially Americans, were shocked to see our military police abusing Iraqi prisoners in horrific ways.
01:19:54.000 And everybody said, who are these bad apples?
01:19:56.000 Well, hold that thought.
01:19:57.000 We're coming out to a break.
01:19:58.000 When we come back, I want to talk about Abu Ghraib with my guest Philip Zimbardo.
01:20:02.000 Speaking about torture and how does it lie at the heart of all of us?
01:20:06.000 Stay tuned.
01:20:06.000 God, I hope not.

01:23:14.000 They kicked in our door and were in and out of our house in about 5 minutes.
01:23:18.000 The police arrived in about 20 minutes, but they were long gone with our TV, jewelry, and my guns.
01:23:24.000 I kept thinking, what if my family had been home?
01:23:27.000 The police officer said that more than 85% of break-ins are through a door, and that deadbolts alone don't stop intruders.
01:23:34.000 The officer told me to go to EasyArmor.net if we wanted something that would actually stop an intruder.
01:23:40.000 EasyArmor reinforces all of the weak points on your doors and is guaranteed to prevent kick-ins.

01:24:15.000 Because there's a war on for your mind.
01:24:18.000 We're back.
01:24:35.000 Katherine Albrecht here.
01:24:37.000 Speaking about torture, yeah, Philip Zimbardo is my guest this hour.
01:24:42.000 I don't know if you want to call it torture, but maybe just the dark side of humanity.
01:24:46.000 We know that, is it Lord Acton who has the quote, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely?
01:24:52.000 Dr. Zimbardo, is that, would you concur with that?
01:24:56.000 Do you think that it really is just the power itself that is the corrupting force in human beings?
01:25:01.000 It's one of the crafting forces.
01:25:03.000 I guess I would back up a little bit and say, you know, one of the amazing things that we have discovered, we have psychologists, biologists, is this brain that we have that gives rise to our mind that really gives us infinite capacity to do anything that is imaginable.
01:25:21.000 So, in a sense, all of us Have the potential to be kind of cruel, caring, or indifferent, destructive, or creative.
01:25:32.000 And really, that same mind pushes some people to become villains, perpetrators of evil, and others to do really heroic things, which is my new mission in life.
01:25:41.000 So the important thing is not to think, I'm not that kind of person, when you hear about something terrible happening.
01:25:49.000 Rather ask the question, How could that person have done that?
01:25:53.000 We don't have to know both about the person, but also about the situation that that person was operating and living in at that time.
01:26:03.000 So, for example, most kids have been involved in high school shooting or college shooting.
01:26:09.000 One of the things that we have discovered is in In almost every case, they were socially excluded.
01:26:16.000 They were rejected by their peers.
01:26:18.000 They were social isolates.
01:26:20.000 They went around Virginia Tech or they went around their school with no friends, feeling lonely and isolated.
01:26:27.000 And so that is now a basic condition which can give rise to that kind of extreme behavior.
01:26:35.000 It also gives rise to less extreme behavior like shyness and simply feeling shunned.
01:26:40.000 But what it means is, what about all those people in all those schools who never took the time to make friends, to reach out, to be an ally, to say, hey, sit down next to me.
01:26:51.000 How you doing?
01:26:51.000 How you feeling?
01:26:53.000 So again, I'm just trying to get away from the simplistic view of Evil bad deeds are in bad people because that's the dominant view.
01:27:03.000 And then what do you do?
01:27:04.000 You identify them, you imprison them, you torture them, you execute them, and the problem continues because we have evil situations and we have evil systems.
01:27:16.000 Well, and this idea that we have evil systems, I think there is a tendency to say, oh look at that person over there, they're a psychopath, or they were just born wrong, or they were wired wrong.
01:27:27.000 Is it the case that some people truly are wired without human empathy, and then other people can be socially maneuvered into not having empathy?
01:27:37.000 Yes, of course.
01:27:38.000 What we know, actually, mostly through psychiatry, is about 1% of every population in the world are people who grow up with, really, a brain defect.
01:27:51.000 We call it being a psychopath.
01:27:53.000 They grow up without the ability to feel empathy for other people, without the ability to feel suffering.
01:27:59.000 These are people whose kids can torture animals and take delight in it and not feel any guilt or shame.
01:28:06.000 It's only one percent, you see, and the problem is in a lot.
01:28:10.000 So, for example, with the shooting in Connecticut, you know, people focused on, oh, this kid was a psychopath.
01:28:16.000 Well, that may be true, but that was not true of any of the other kids in all of the many other shootings.
01:28:24.000 So, again, the system analysis is something that we rarely do.
01:28:30.000 So, as I said, social psychologists, like me, say, look, what we have to understand basic conditions that people live in.
01:28:39.000 So if you live in poverty, that's a social condition that's going to increase the likelihood that you're going to do bad things for money.
01:28:48.000 But also, if you live in a setting where people practice dehumanization, they think of others as must-be-human.
01:28:56.000 If you're in a situation where people treat you in an anonymous way, like you're insignificant, we show that that leads to negative behavior.
01:29:07.000 If you're in a situation where you're part of a group and the group has negative norms, that is, it's okay to smoke heroin, it's okay to have unprotected sex, it's okay to steal, cheat, lie, tell, do racist things, then that group has a powerful influence on you because you go along to get along.
01:29:25.000 So we know we have a recipe in psychology of what can make a good kid, a good person of any age, start down that negative path.
01:29:34.000 And now what we're trying to do is reverse it.
01:29:37.000 How do you get an ordinary person to start, to be inspired to start on the good path?
01:29:43.000 All right.
01:29:43.000 We're visiting with Dr. Philip Zimbardo here.
01:29:46.000 He is a nationally renowned expert on psychology.
01:29:50.000 He's also the author of a book called The Lucifer Effect.
01:29:52.000 I want to get into that a little bit more when we come back.
01:29:55.000 How good people turn evil.

01:33:17.000 You're listening to The Alex Jones Show.
01:33:19.000 Yeah, those jackboots, man, they keep coming back historically over and over and over.
01:33:35.000 It's the reason I became a Liberty Freedom Privacy Advocate, is because I've got a floor-to-ceiling bookshelf, four feet wide, all the way up to the ceiling.
01:33:43.000 I don't know how many shelves are on there, but there's a lot of books of 20th century history.
01:33:47.000 And the reality is, any time you give too much power to those guys with the jackboots, they will take it from you, and they will use it to stomp on you.
01:33:55.000 It's just the way things are.
01:33:57.000 And I guess this hour, Philip Zimbardo has devoted a career to trying to figure out why this is and then how to counter it.
01:34:02.000 What we can do to take a look, really stare down the face of human evil and figure out what we should be doing instead.
01:34:12.000 Dr. Zimbardo, there's a story that was in the news yesterday and I couldn't help but think of your research as we were hearing the dramatic 911 tape of this dispatcher who was fighting to save a patient.
01:34:26.000 Now I know you've been doing keynotes and you may not have heard this, but there is a retirement home or a nursing facility called Glenwood Gardens in Bakersfield, California, and there was an 87-year-old woman who collapsed and was not breathing.
01:34:41.000 And the dispatcher, the 911 dispatcher, is trying to give instructions to the nurse at the facility to give this woman CPR and is frantically making every effort to try to encourage this woman to please start CPR to save the woman's life.
01:34:58.000 And just a quick quote from here and then I want to play the audio clip because it's chilling.
01:35:03.000 She says, um, the CPR, or excuse me, the 911 dispatcher says, I understand if your boss is telling you you can't do CPR, but as a human being, is there anybody who's willing to help this lady and not let her die?
01:35:14.000 Is there a gardener, any staff, anyone who doesn't work for you anywhere?
01:35:18.000 Can we flag someone down in the street and get them to help this lady?
01:35:21.000 Can we flag a stranger down?
01:35:23.000 I bet a stranger would help her.
01:35:25.000 And the answer that she repeatedly receives is no.
01:35:28.000 Let's listen to the clip, it's chilling.
01:35:30.000 They've been on the way all this time, but we can't wait.
01:35:33.000 This lady's gonna die.
01:35:36.000 Okay, well then, if you get anybody, any stranger that happens to walk by that's willing to help, I understand if your boss is telling you you can't do it.
01:35:44.000 But if there's any, as a human being, I don't, you know, is there anybody that's willing to help this lady and not let her die?
01:35:53.000 Not at this time.
01:35:54.000 Yeah, not at this time.
01:35:56.000 Alright, Dr. Zimbardo, this coldness I think has really shocked the nation as we've been hearing this 911 call that anyone would put the bureaucratic rules of just their local facility, which I guess told the nurses that they're not allowed to perform CPR, that anybody would be able to coldly stand by and let a fellow human being die with that degree of just dispassionate lack of emotion, lack of compassion, lack of anything Is this one of these psychopaths?
01:36:24.000 This nurse?
01:36:25.000 Is she one of the 1% that was just born wrong?
01:36:27.000 Or what's going on in this call?
01:36:30.000 No, it's not a... I mean, again, it's really important not to put the blame on the nurse.
01:36:35.000 She is simply part of a system that says, here's what we don't want to do because we could get sued.
01:36:42.000 And suppose you start the CPR and you don't do it right and the person will die.
01:36:46.000 So first of all, In any home for the aged, everybody should know how to do CPR.
01:36:53.000 That should be a requirement by every state.
01:36:55.000 So we start, we have to change the laws so that not only is it permissible, but they have to know how to do it.
01:37:02.000 This is reminiscent of what happened last year, if you remember.
01:37:05.000 In China, a little girl, a toddler, is walking along a street and a car runs over her and there is a surveillance camera that shows in 10 minutes Maybe 18 people passed if I was in one foot of that girl, and no one stops to pick her up, and she dies the next day.
01:37:24.000 And this was the moral crisis in China, just as this one should be now in America.
01:37:29.000 And the reaction was, most people said, I wouldn't help either.
01:37:32.000 Not that I didn't care, but people might have thought I did it.
01:37:36.000 Or maybe if I moved her, it would make it worse.
01:37:39.000 So, this is what you call the need for a good Samaritan law.
01:37:42.000 That is, if you, with good intention, try to help somebody in an emergency situation, you cannot be held liable for any negative consequences.
01:37:52.000 In America, I think only 22 states have such a law.
01:37:56.000 And so, many people here are self-interested to say, you know, I don't want to lose my job if I go against the rules.
01:38:03.000 The rules are, don't do it.
01:38:05.000 But, the bottom line is, How do you step out of that rule-based system and say, I cannot allow another human being to die because suppose that was my mother?
01:38:15.000 Suppose that was me?
01:38:18.000 And so partly what we have to do is, you know, how do you get people to really feel empathy and compassion for every other person?
01:38:27.000 Not just an old person or not just a person of a different gender or race or whatever, but for everyone.
01:38:33.000 And so this is just jumping ahead of our stuff.
01:38:36.000 So this is what I've been trying to do in moving from my focus on why did good people turn evil to how can we make ordinary people like that aid in Uh, to be inspired to do the heroic thing.
01:38:50.000 In this case, the heroic thing is to go against the system and say, I'm sorry.
01:38:54.000 I know it's a rule.
01:38:55.000 I have to do this.
01:38:56.000 And she would have been, she would have been honored now rather than shamed.
01:39:00.000 Right.
01:39:01.000 She would have been the hero.
01:39:02.000 And now, simply because she did follow the rules.
01:39:05.000 And, you know, when you're living in a society where the rules begin to go crazy, and I'm sure that we could look at Nazi Germany or North Korea as examples right now, even, where, you know, in North Korea, it is the appropriate thing to do that if you see somebody with a cell phone and you're a member of the regime there, that you beat that person brutally and torture them and put them into a labor camp.
01:39:27.000 So, when the rules begin to go crazy and things begin to go totally wrong, it just seems that there's such a difficulty of human beings to resist that.
01:39:36.000 Before we open up the phone lines, let me go ahead and do that now.
01:39:41.000 1-800-259-9231 for your questions and comments for my guest this hour, Dr. Philip Zimbardo.
01:39:46.000 Before we do that, I want to talk, I know you've got a new project, and I also want to talk about the Lucifer Effect.
01:39:51.000 So you went from doing the Stanford Prison Experiments, which people can find online, they can start page that, we don't use Google around here, we use start page, they can start page it.
01:40:00.000 They can also look up your book, The Lucifer Effect, and kind of follow your progression as a force of change in the psychological community.
01:40:09.000 The Lucifer Effect was maybe one step behind where you are now, which is really the hero project, trying to get people into Not just being evil, but not just not being evil, but literally becoming heroes.
01:40:21.000 Just really quickly, can you give us the overview of the Lucifer Effect?
01:40:26.000 I had mentioned earlier that I did this traumatic study called the Stanford Prison Study to demonstrate, it was a very vivid demonstration of the ease with which good people, good colleges, eligible colleges could be seduced to do bad things if they were put in the role of a guard of that power, in a situation where they could use that power.
01:40:48.000 And then, in 2004, Albuquerque erupted, and there were direct parallels between what happened in Albuquerque prison and in my prison.
01:40:57.000 Until I became an expert witness for one of our guards to demonstrate that he was a good apple and that the military put him in a very bad barrel.
01:41:07.000 And I was able to demonstrate that.
01:41:09.000 And in my book, Loser Effect, I not only present the Stanford President's study in almost moment by moment, hour by hour, but then I take the reader to Abu Ghraib, and I think I know more about Abu Ghraib than almost anyone.
01:41:22.000 I was immersed in it for years, for several years.
01:41:25.000 But really to understand, how could this happen?
01:41:27.000 How could good American men and women do these terrible things?
01:41:31.000 And the point is, every guard on the night shift did terrible things.
01:41:34.000 No guard on the day shift did.
01:41:35.000 So that's a situational difference.
01:41:37.000 But then it's a simple answer.
01:41:40.000 The military intelligence told only the guards on the night shift, break the prison.
01:41:44.000 Do whatever you have to do so when we interrogate them, they'll spill the beans.
01:41:48.000 And in three months, no senior officer ever went down to the dungeon at night.
01:41:52.000 In the day shift, if they didn't tell them that, then it was always surveillance.
01:41:55.000 So that's the reason.
01:41:57.000 It was not that they put the bad guards on the night shift and the good guards on the day shift.
01:42:01.000 That's what we call a situational variable.
01:42:04.000 And so now in Abu Ghraib, for example, they don't do that.
01:42:08.000 They have procedures.
01:42:09.000 They have oversight.
01:42:10.000 They have, you know, situational procedures that will prevent such abuses.
01:42:18.000 And so the Lutheran book summarizes that.
01:42:22.000 And then in the last chapter, I say, hey, resist.
01:42:25.000 I mean, these are powerful forces.
01:42:27.000 And the point is that in almost all situations, it's the majority who conform, comply, obey.
01:42:32.000 But curiously, there's always a small percent who resist, 10 percent.
01:42:36.000 10% or more.
01:42:38.000 And then I focus on, maybe we can think of them as heroes.
01:42:41.000 But what does it mean to be a hero?
01:42:42.000 The curious thing is there's almost no research on heroism.
01:42:46.000 It's not in any psychology text.
01:42:48.000 It's not in the positive psychology movement.
01:42:52.000 So now they're starting to do research on terrorism, trying to get funding to sponsor students everywhere to do research on terrorism.
01:43:03.000 But in addition, what I've done is created a project in San Francisco that we hope we can scale up nationally and internationally called the Heroic Imagination Project.
01:43:14.000 The website is www.heroicimagination.org, and essentially it's to teach young people how to be wise and effective heroes.
01:43:23.000 And the way we're going to teach them is first to teach them the basic street smarts that I learned in the Bronx, South Bronx, of, you know, what are the forces of evil, and how do you identify them, how do you learn to resist, and how do you learn to oppose?
01:43:40.000 And then, how do we inspire you to the bright side?
01:43:45.000 To teach you how to be a wise and effective hero?
01:43:48.000 How to focus on the other?
01:43:49.000 How to make other people feel special?
01:43:52.000 How to be a positive deviant?
01:43:53.000 Heroes are always deviant because when you look around, other people are doing nothing.
01:43:57.000 And so, how do you practice so that when the opportunity arises, you're not going to give in to the group and do nothing.
01:44:04.000 You're going to do the right thing when people are doing nothing.
01:44:07.000 The other thing I should mention is that there are two kinds of evil.
01:44:10.000 There's the evil of action, where you do a bad thing, and the broader evil that we all are part of is the evil of inaction.
01:44:17.000 So a bully is practiced as evil of action, but all the rest of us who have known about bullies in junior high, in high school, and now in the business world, who've done nothing, we are guilty of the evil of inaction.
01:44:29.000 By our inaction, we allow that evil to be continued.
01:44:35.000 Now, I'm on your website, heroicimagination.org.
01:44:38.000 You've got just a wealth of resources here.
01:44:41.000 There's a video library, stories of heroism, you've got information about the bystander effect, conformity, obedience to unjust authority, which I think comes right into this 911 call.
01:44:53.000 It's all there, and I would encourage people to check out heroicimagination.org.
01:44:59.000 Is there a book that goes with this?
01:45:01.000 No, I'm collecting... I'm a research-oriented psychologist, as you know.
01:45:07.000 In fact, I now have 400 publications, not just 300 that you mentioned earlier.
01:45:12.000 I work a lot.
01:45:14.000 So there will be a book, but I need more substance.
01:45:17.000 I need more research rather than attitude.
01:45:20.000 But I hope your listeners will go online.
01:45:24.000 We desperately need donations.
01:45:26.000 We desperately need sponsors in order to move our program out of San Francisco into the rest of the country.
01:45:36.000 Because the message is really for all youth development.
01:45:39.000 It's for 4-H, it's for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, summer camps, because everything we do is based on fundamental social science research.
01:45:49.000 And we always have... We evaluate, and before we put a program out, we say, does it work?
01:45:54.000 We have pre-post measures.
01:45:55.000 Do we change information?
01:45:56.000 Do we change advocacy?
01:45:57.000 Do we change values?
01:45:59.000 Not only of the kids, but the teachers and their parents.
01:46:01.000 It's really a unique program that I'm desperate to give away to the world.
01:46:08.000 I want to jump in and encourage people that if you're not tithing 10% of your income for liberty, you've got to bear in mind that you're tithing between 20 and 60% of your income for tyranny in the form of your taxes.
01:46:22.000 Yeah, every dollar that comes into my hands, even if it's someone purchasing a product that I'm selling or if I'm at an event signing a book, I take 10% before I even deduct the expense of the item and I set it aside.
01:46:36.000 My husband and I have a tithing account.
01:46:38.000 We have an envelope that we keep with cash in it.
01:46:41.000 We also just started a bank account where literally 10% of every single penny that comes into our hands goes into there, and it is available for causes like yours, so expect to be receiving a donation from us, Dr. Zimbardo.
01:46:54.000 Yeah, I really want to support what you're doing because, you know, so much of our money is going... I know because I've been in the halls of power and seen the lobbyists there.
01:47:01.000 The corporations certainly get that.
01:47:02.000 They lobby for their interests and they further their cause with money and they set aside a certain percentage of all their income to make sure that their interests are represented in Congress and in state capitals.
01:47:13.000 And we need to be doing the same across the board.
01:47:14.000 Really fighting for liberty and goodness and I think that this is just a brilliant place to do that.
01:47:19.000 To all the listeners, I would just put out a challenge to you to begin to set aside 10% of your income.
01:47:24.000 You can dedicate it to a church, to missions, you can dedicate it to liberty actions, secular efforts, whatever it is that's bringing goodness into the world.
01:47:33.000 We've got to fund it, otherwise it doesn't stand a chance against the forces of evil, which have a lot of money, ill-gotten gains they spend in that way.
01:47:40.000 All right, let me go to the phone lines and take your questions and calls.
01:47:43.000 For my guest, Dr. Philip Zimbardo, let us go ahead to Emily, who is calling in from Tennessee.
01:47:51.000 Hello, Emily, you're on with Philip Zimbardo, go ahead.
01:47:55.000 Hello, I'm calling in on my mother.
01:48:00.000 She's a Prison Planet TV member, and we have been raised according to the Word of God, and Jeremiah 2 says, the heart above all things is deceitful and desperately wicked.
01:48:18.000 Who can know it?
01:48:21.000 So until a person is born again, they really have no understanding about good or evil, and we are really like sheep to the slaughter, as Alex is sheeple, to be, you know, thrown in front of the TV set, which is, you know, The Walking Dead, and basically pornography on even
01:48:48.000 basic cable tv channels and people have you know they seem to have nothing else to do they don't want to read they don't seem to want to know well i'm i'm totally with you emily because at the beginning of this hour when i said i hope i would never get into that situation
01:49:05.000 i truly hope that my faith and and my efforts as a christian to refine my heart and to to really try to be humble and and kind and and purge those sorts of things in my christian walk would go a long way Let me ask our guest here, Dr. Zimbardo, does faith and religion play a role in helping people to resist these kinds of societal forces?
01:49:29.000 It really should.
01:49:30.000 I mean, essentially, you know, virtually all religions are repositories of morality.
01:49:36.000 Morality is all about teaching people right from wrong.
01:49:41.000 Teaching people to do the good thing and to avoid the bad thing, to resist temptation.
01:49:47.000 The problem is, more and more, religion has less of an impact on our secular life.
01:49:54.000 That people go to church, and while they're in church they say prayers, they get communion, whatever, and then they go back and are in a different world zone.
01:50:03.000 So the question is, how do you carry that goodness in your heart, that kindness, that compassion, every day toward everyone?
01:50:11.000 You know, so if you're religious, if you're Catholic, if you're Christian, you know, you carry the message of Jesus that, you know, the least among you is my child, my son, my daughter.
01:50:23.000 And so that's what we're really trying to promote, not in a religious way, with the whole organization project.
01:50:28.000 Every day, make someone feel special.
01:50:31.000 Every day this week, start out by giving someone a compliment.
01:50:34.000 Make eye contact.
01:50:35.000 Shake their hand.
01:50:36.000 Know their name.
01:50:37.000 Give a compliment.
01:50:39.000 I tell kids, when was the last time you complimented a teacher?
01:50:42.000 Almost never.
01:50:43.000 Well, a good teacher.
01:50:44.000 When was the last time you complimented your mother on a good dinner?
01:50:47.000 On the bus driver.
01:50:48.000 So, to compliment is a very simple tactic, which we call, as part of being a hero, in training.
01:50:56.000 And that's gratitude.
01:50:57.000 Yeah, softening our hearts towards others, reaching out in gratitude with compliments, I think is a beautiful way to start.
01:51:03.000 Alright, Emily, thank you for your call.
01:51:04.000 We'll get to more of your calls when we come back on the other end of this break.

01:55:23.000 It's good stuff.

01:55:24.000 All right.
01:55:27.000 We've got a full bank of phone calls.
01:55:28.000 See if we can get as many on as we can.
01:55:30.000 And please do me a favor and let's be brief with the questions.
01:55:33.000 Let's go to George in Connecticut.
01:55:35.000 George, quickly your question for Dr. Philip Zimbardo.
01:55:38.000 Go right ahead.
01:55:40.000 Hi there, I just wanted to give an example of how to break the mindset.
01:55:43.000 My mother was in Germany from 1938 to 1950 as an American.
01:55:48.000 As a result of that, she got involved with the Germans that were too afraid to break the mindset of the conditioning that the Nazis created, but she got them to basically help smuggle Jews out of Germany, and then after the war, She knew Eisenhower because she was part of the military occupation government, and he tried to starve children, or starve the whole country, because he hated Germans so badly.
01:56:11.000 And she broke the mindset of many military people and got the help of Patton to basically help feed orphanages and stuff like that.
01:56:18.000 Military people are so conditioned to follow orders, even if they're just against every instinct of human beings.
01:56:26.000 She did it in both cases, so it's possible to break the Sounds like your mother's one of the heroes, Dr. Zimbardo.
01:56:33.000 Absolutely.
01:56:34.000 Oh, please send me that information.
01:56:36.000 My email is drzimbardo at gmail.
01:56:39.000 Because that's exactly the kind of person who's a silent hero.
01:56:43.000 What she did is extraordinary on both sides.
01:56:47.000 Again, it's following up with the earlier sad thing about somebody gives him orders to work in a home for the aged, not to give CPR, and so it allows somebody to die.
01:57:00.000 You're right.
01:57:01.000 After the war, there was a lot of hostility against Germans, and we were, you know, some of our leaders were willing to let them starve to death, you know.
01:57:10.000 They were not necessarily Nazis.
01:57:11.000 They were people who followed, you know, followed orders of, you know, Well, we hear their stories, but we don't always hear the stories of the heroes.
01:57:19.000 So, George, thank you for your call.
01:57:21.000 I hope you can get in touch with Dr. Zimbardo and we can take that story to the next level.
01:57:25.000 Let's get a call in from Zoe in Illinois.
01:57:29.000 Zoe, just quickly, I think we've got about a minute left.
01:57:31.000 Go ahead.
01:57:32.000 I love that last call, by the way.
01:57:34.000 If my question's been asked, just ignore it, but I have to ask, Mr. Zimbardo, I read about this Stanford prisoner experiment back when I was in college.
01:57:45.000 And it always bothered me that somebody would do an experiment like this.
01:57:50.000 How can you know you didn't damage the people that were involved in the experiment permanently?
01:57:55.000 It really bothered me to think that someone would do this.
01:57:59.000 I mean, it was interesting, I admit.
01:58:02.000 The psychological damage, thank you Zoe, of people going through that.
01:58:08.000 It's very important to realize, and in my book I have a great I'm going to jump in.
01:58:27.000 I know that you feature this information on your website, and unfortunately, man, that break, when it comes, it comes fast.
01:58:33.000 So let me just thank you so much, Dr. Zimbardo, for being with me on the show.
01:58:36.000 We will post links to all of your information on the InfoWars website.
01:58:43.000 I'll be right back with Katherine Albrecht.

02:00:20.000 Well, so does he.
02:00:21.000 He's Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.
02:00:25.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.
02:00:29.000 And hello, Catherine Albrecht here, filling in for Alex Jones as he takes a much-needed vacation, hopefully gets a little rest.
02:00:45.000 I am here with you writing Shotgun all three hours today.
02:00:48.000 I will also be back with you again on Friday as we together take a gander at not only the news that's going on out there, but maybe a little commentary, a little bit of detangling and trying to understand how we got into this mess that we're in.
02:01:04.000 And of course, as a Bible-believing Christian, I like to say that this mess that we got into started way back when, you know?
02:01:10.000 It really seems like we are on board the Titanic.
02:01:13.000 This is an analogy I gave last week when I was a guest on Alex's show, and if you didn't catch it, I was there in the studio on video, so you can actually see me.
02:01:22.000 I said today, no, not going to do that on video Skype, thank you.
02:01:25.000 I'll leave that to Alex, but I was in the studio, so I did that live.
02:01:29.000 Live video interview last week.
02:01:31.000 I'm sure you can find it at Infowars on YouTube and elsewhere.
02:01:34.000 But one of the things that people often ask, how did we get into this mess?
02:01:39.000 You know, it seemed so much better in the 50s, or it was so much better in the 20s, or the 1800s.
02:01:44.000 Man, that's when it was perfect.
02:01:46.000 And of course, the Bible itself tells us, King Solomon, one of the wisest guys ever, says, you know, don't go longing for the old days and thinking they were better than today, because they weren't.
02:01:55.000 That that's an error.
02:01:57.000 Is that interesting that even back in his day, how many thousands of years ago, he was cautioning people, oh yeah, you thought 1200 BC was better than 1150 BC?
02:02:06.000 No, it wasn't.
02:02:08.000 Because the battle that we're fighting is not, you know, it feels like it's a battle against technology and surveillance drones and encroaching corporate Takeovers of the entire globe.
02:02:20.000 But the reality is that the battle we're fighting is a spiritual battle, and it is one that has raged in the hearts of men and around the hearts of men from the very beginning of time.
02:02:30.000 You can take it all the way back, if you want to use my analogy of the Titanic, that we struck an iceberg way back when in the Garden of Eden.
02:02:38.000 You know, when Eve took a bite out of that apple, Whether you want to view that literally or metaphorically, there was a deal that was struck.
02:02:44.000 And the deal said, hey, we don't want what you've got, God.
02:02:47.000 We want our own power.
02:02:49.000 We want power.
02:02:50.000 The knowledge of good and evil, the power to be as gods.
02:02:54.000 And here we are, kind of coming full circle on that, aren't we?
02:02:57.000 Because now we've got the founders of Google saying that they want to turn Google into the mind of God.
02:03:03.000 That's actually a literal answer they gave.
02:03:05.000 What do you want Google to become, guys, in the future?
02:03:07.000 The mind of God!
02:03:11.000 Really?
02:03:11.000 Hello?
02:03:12.000 Did you really say that?
02:03:13.000 Yeah.
02:03:14.000 So they want to be the mind of God.
02:03:15.000 They want to be inside of your head the same way that God is omniscient and omnipotent, sees all things, knows all things, numbers the hairs on your head, knows when the sparrow, every time a sparrow falls from the sky, God knows it all.
02:03:27.000 And the folks over there at Google, they want to know it too.
02:03:30.000 They want a picture of the front of your house.
02:03:31.000 They want a picture of your backyard.
02:03:32.000 They want, you know, it's not just Google.
02:03:35.000 It just happens that Google happens to be the company right now that is holding all the toys.
02:03:42.000 But you better believe the NSA and Interpol and the global banking elite and the pawn scum, that's what I call them, the scum that has risen to the top of the pawn, choking out the oxygen for the rest of us, they all want those same powers too.
02:03:57.000 These are not new powers that are being sought.
02:03:59.000 It's just we now have new technology to enable them to get the powers that they want to have over the rest of us.
02:04:05.000 And anytime, you know, the best definition I've ever come up with for government is people who have sought power over others and obtained it.
02:04:14.000 And those are the very people that shouldn't have power.
02:04:17.000 If you think about it, the people who we've given the power to and our money to, between 20 and 60 percent of our income goes into their hands.
02:04:25.000 Those are people who crave power.
02:04:27.000 They thrive on it.
02:04:28.000 It's like miracle grow to the weeds in your backyard when you give them money and you give them power.
02:04:34.000 And that is why, you know, this is, and again, it's not a new battle.
02:04:38.000 It's maybe a little bit new, because we're the first generation or nation that's figured out how to try to thwart it, and we're trying to hold on to that constitutional system of checks and balances.
02:04:48.000 But the battle's been raging forever, and it's going to continue to rage.
02:04:53.000 All right, I'm your host, Dr. Kathryn Albrecht, filling in for Alex Jones, and we'll be right back.
02:04:57.000 Stay tuned.
02:04:58.000 Stay tuned.

02:08:22.000 It's Alex Jones.
02:08:24.000 Oh, man, that's taking me back.
02:08:39.000 Ha ha ha.
02:08:40.000 Jerry Rafferty.
02:08:41.000 Oh my gosh, my brain is jammed full of irrelevant details.
02:08:45.000 Nick, can you imagine what we could do?
02:08:47.000 Like what brain power we would have if we took stuff like the fact that that song is called Baker Street by Jerry Rafferty and replaced it with, oh I don't know, maybe the literal text of the Constitution?
02:08:58.000 Why were they teaching me that when I was in my teens?
02:09:01.000 Hey, listen, I am, in case you don't know who this is, this is Dr. Kathryn Albrecht filling in for Alex Jones, and we're going into hour three of absolutely the Liberty Marathon here that is the daily Alex Jones radio program.
02:09:01.000 All right.
02:09:15.000 Such a delight to be able to sit in the director's chair of this show, even just briefly.
02:09:22.000 I've got to tell you, Alex has done just such a tremendous job in recent years waking people up, just letting people know what's going on, kind of breaking through the mainstream media and all of its little house of glass there and all the lies that we're being told.
02:09:37.000 So my hat is off to Alex Jones.
02:09:40.000 I hope that his hat is off and that he's getting a nice warm massage, maybe drinking Mai Tai's on a beach somewhere.
02:09:46.000 He's probably off in some undisclosed location, but let's hope he's getting a good rest.
02:09:50.000 Alright, well I'm with you for the remainder of this hour.
02:09:52.000 I'm also going to be with you on Friday when we're going to do some good news on my radio show, KMAShow.com.
02:09:58.000 Every Friday we dedicate to de-stressing and de-compressing from all the bad news that we cover Monday through Thursday and Saturdays as well.
02:10:06.000 And Friday is Good News Friday.
02:10:08.000 We're going to try to bring some good news onto this radio program as well.
02:10:12.000 I welcome your comments and thoughts in the good news arena.
02:10:15.000 You can always drop me a line.
02:10:16.000 My email address is KMA at spychips.com.
02:10:20.000 KMA at spychips.com.
02:10:21.000 My website KMA Radio.
02:10:23.000 And if you've got some good news, maybe a piece of legislation that's going in the right direction, or maybe one that was going in the wrong direction and got killed.
02:10:33.000 Maybe you're an activist out there.
02:10:34.000 Maybe you're a musician making some good music.
02:10:36.000 We've got some great music right around the Alex Jones Command Center right there in Austin.
02:10:42.000 Love to hear from you guys with some good news.
02:10:44.000 And Friday we're going to loosen up those neckties, take off those uncomfortable high heels.
02:10:49.000 Well, today I've got a guest for you.
02:10:51.000 John Rappaport is with me this hour.
02:10:52.000 And we'll look at the positivity when Friday rolls around.
02:10:56.000 All right, well, today I've got a guest for you.
02:10:59.000 And John Rapoport is with me this hour.
02:11:03.000 He is the guy who takes a look at the news and gives it his own little twist.
02:11:08.000 In fact, he sent an absolutely awesome email out yesterday.
02:11:12.000 Remember, we had Lenore Skenazy on the show yesterday, talking about that kid who ate the strawberry pop tart into the shape of what he thought was a mountain, and his teacher thought it was a gun, and suspended the kid for two days.
02:11:25.000 I shouldn't laugh, I should be absolutely just lividly crying.
02:11:29.000 But John Rapoport had some great responses to that, and it is my joy to bring him on the show right now.
02:11:34.000 John, hello, welcome!
02:11:36.000 Great to be here, thanks for having me.
02:11:38.000 Hey, it's great to have you with me.
02:11:39.000 So, what did you think about this strawberry pop tart?
02:11:43.000 I loved your response, calling for an armed insurrection.
02:11:46.000 Let me let you share that with the listeners.
02:11:48.000 Yeah, an armed insurrection of all the kids in the school taking all their tarts and all making guns out of them.
02:11:56.000 And saying, here we are, you know, this is the Strawberry Tart Rebellion.
02:12:00.000 So suspend us, kick us out, get rid of us, send us home, we'll bring our parents back to school, and our parents can talk to you, to the school board, and say, you're completely and utterly and totally out of your minds.
02:12:17.000 And so therefore, unless you rescind this policy and get some quick sanity, we're going to take all the kids out of school.
02:12:25.000 Permanently, not suspended.
02:12:26.000 We're going to just take them out, period.
02:12:28.000 That's it.
02:12:28.000 Our kids are going to be removed from you lunatics.
02:12:32.000 We're going to start our own school.
02:12:34.000 And then you can figure out how to get federal dollars for every student that you don't have now in the school, because you've obviously gone completely insane.
02:12:45.000 I mean, that's what it takes.
02:12:47.000 See, it's not just, okay, well, they made a mistake, they're incompetent, somebody's stupid.
02:12:53.000 No, on a local level, people have to stand up to these fascists.
02:12:57.000 They have to go there and they say, okay, this is a tart.
02:13:01.000 This is a gun.
02:13:02.000 That's right, it's a gun.
02:13:04.000 I have a permit to carry it.
02:13:06.000 This is a chart and this is a gun.
02:13:08.000 You people are insane.
02:13:10.000 And we're going to draw the line in the sand here.
02:13:12.000 We're not going to permit you to do this to our children anymore.
02:13:16.000 And then, in schools across the country, you'll see more of that happening as people go to their school boards and they say, oh yeah, my kid brought a paper gun.
02:13:25.000 No, it was a bubble gun.
02:13:26.000 Remember that?
02:13:27.000 And then there was the water pistol, and there was the picture of a gun.
02:13:30.000 And so we're going to take all of our kids out of school because you people are crazy.
02:13:35.000 Yeah, no, the Hello Kitty bubble gun, not bubble gum, but the bubble gun that, you know, you pull the trigger on the little pink plastic Hello Kitty and little bubbles fly out, and a kid got suspended for that as well.
02:13:46.000 So, you know, when they're suspending kids for throwing fake grenades, you know, just pretending to pull the pin out of a grenade and pretending to throw it, to blow up the bad guys in a box, because it's something the kids saw on a cartoon,
02:13:59.000 You know, sometimes I wonder, and my degree, actually my background is in human development and psychology and education, so I spent a lot of years at Harvard studying how kids develop and how their minds develop and how their educational exposure shapes and molds them into what they become as adults.
02:14:17.000 And I gotta tell you, even with all that training, I have no preparation for even beginning to comprehend what happens to children who are exposed to this kind of nonsense from adults.
02:14:28.000 Because if you're a 6, 7, 8 year old kid, and you see that your classmate is being expelled, suspended for two days, for eating a Pop-Tart into the wrong shape, what does that teach you about the world?
02:14:42.000 What does that teach you about the adults around you?
02:14:44.000 you do you just feel like the lunatics are running up but see to me this is really not just a few isolated crazy teachers what's really happening here is they've had this whole plan on the drawing boards for a long time we take the guns we pass laws executive orders etc etc we got the media on our side but more than that with their what they're trying to do is Change the culture.
02:15:14.000 The whole culture.
02:15:15.000 And you can look at other movements.
02:15:17.000 Look at what happened back in the years when it was okay to wear fur.
02:15:20.000 And then all of a sudden, not only was it not okay to wear fur, but you were in danger if you were wearing fur when you walked down the street.
02:15:27.000 And the entire culture shifted.
02:15:29.000 Now I'm not saying that was a bad thing at all.
02:15:31.000 I'm just showing you how these things develop.
02:15:34.000 That's what they're trying to do with guns.
02:15:36.000 They want to change the whole culture.
02:15:38.000 So that if you just mention the word gun, if you say the word gun, If you write the word gun, if you think the word gun, then all of a sudden you are the outsider.
02:15:48.000 Not just the outsider, you're the bad guy, you're the criminal, you're the potential terrorist, you're the prehistoric Neanderthal who's still living, you know, with guns and bitterly clinging to religion.
02:16:02.000 And out in the rural area, somewhere in the hick, land where the uneducated are you see that's what they're trying to do here they're trying to change the entire culture so that in the next five to ten years people will just oh I don't know whether I should mention the word gun oh that might be bad oh that might be a terrible thing that's where all this is going and that's what you're trying to do I think you make a really interesting parallel here with firm
02:16:29.000 Because it was the case, in fact, my own grandfather was a mink rancher long before I was born.
02:16:36.000 But that was how he made a living.
02:16:39.000 And back in that era, you know, in the 40s, you can go back and read and see this on the old movies, having a mink was the ultimate expression of wealth.
02:16:48.000 And so everybody wanted a mink and it was I'm not going to make a judgment on that either way, but the way in which the culture so radically and dramatically changed, to the point where I was in Manhattan just a couple of weeks ago, and you know, it's the dead of winter, it's freezing cold in Manhattan, and I saw a woman in a full length mink coat.
02:17:12.000 And rather than say, well, that's really a beautiful mink coat, or rather than, you know, have some other thought, well, she must be rich, the first thought that went through my head is somebody's going to throw paint on that woman.
02:17:21.000 So, the culture has been so thoroughly acculturated to look at fur and have all of these negative images come up.
02:17:29.000 I think the other example we could look at, John, would be smoking.
02:17:32.000 That it used to be, you know, you look at the 1950s and every movie, you know, Cary Grant smoking a cigarette, Doris Day smoking a cigarette, everybody smoking.
02:17:40.000 And then, now we've gotten to the point where even the mention of cigarettes, you know, they can't advertise them, they can't put them in the movies, everybody is anti-smoking.
02:17:50.000 So, do you think that that kind of a change, that kind of a cultural shift to where everybody just makes the sign of the cross and says, get away from me with that cigarette or that fur, is that going to happen with guns?
02:18:00.000 And do you think it's intentional?
02:18:01.000 Absolutely.
02:18:01.000 I mean, that's what they're trying to do.
02:18:03.000 I mean, this is not going to be slammed down by any stretch of the imagination, but this is the program.
02:18:10.000 This is the cultural program.
02:18:12.000 I mean, look at GMO food, for example.
02:18:15.000 When this was introduced by Monsanto at first, it was brought on with the idea, well, the FDA says it's okay.
02:18:23.000 That's what Monsanto said.
02:18:24.000 And then the FDA said, well, ultimately, it's up to the food producer to guarantee the safety of the food.
02:18:30.000 So the media didn't jump down on this contradiction and say, hey, wait a minute here.
02:18:35.000 This is a scam you're pulling here.
02:18:37.000 You're passing the buck to each other and all of a sudden we've got this new kind of genetically engineered food all over America.
02:18:45.000 So Monsanto, along with many of its allies, began to do gigantic amounts of promotion to convince not so much the public, you see, But the educated classes, the technocrats, the scientists, everybody in the scientific community was going to be convinced by Monsanto.
02:19:06.000 We have the technology.
02:19:07.000 This is all about science.
02:19:08.000 The unwashed masses don't know anything about this.
02:19:11.000 They're crazy.
02:19:11.000 Forget about them.
02:19:14.000 So here's what we have to do.
02:19:15.000 You understand, you people have The opinion of the country, you scientists, you tech heads, you people that understand what science is all about, that this food that we're engineering is absolutely equal in nutrition in every other way to the regular food that people have been eating.
02:19:34.000 That's your job.
02:19:35.000 Because you see, if you fail, what's going to happen?
02:19:38.000 All of a sudden, science will be defeated and we'll be back in the Stone Age with superstition and witches and everything.
02:19:44.000 And Monsanto succeeded in that.
02:19:47.000 They succeeded in changing the culture of the technological and scientific classes in America so that these morons and idiots actually go along with the program that GMO food is safe.
02:20:00.000 And they have the ear of the media, as does the government, who's in collusion with Monsanto here.
02:20:06.000 So they changed the culture and it was only by grass roots.
02:20:09.000 You prepare by purchasing gold and firearms.
02:20:12.000 But if you don't have a home security system, then you're missing a critical weapon in your arsenal for home protection.

02:24:36.000 How about your right not to drink sewage?
02:24:38.000 Or eat sewage, as the case may be.
02:24:40.000 Yeah, my guest this hour, John Rapoport.
02:24:43.000 His website is nomorefakenews.com.
02:24:46.000 And I am, of course, your guest host today, Dr. Katherine Albrecht, filling in for Alex Jones as he takes a much-needed vacation.
02:24:53.000 Let's all join together and send a prayer of Calm and relaxation to overflow Alex right now, wherever he is.
02:25:00.000 Hope he's enjoying, you know, kicking back with a Mai Tai in his hand and a nice sun shining on him somewhere as he takes a break.
02:25:08.000 He will be back with you first thing, I believe, Monday morning.
02:25:11.000 He might be back over the weekend, I don't know, but I'm going to be here until Friday when we're going to do some good news and lighten the mood just a little bit on Friday.
02:25:20.000 Today, though, we're talking about the ways in which all of this propaganda swirls around us and changes the way we think about things.
02:25:28.000 And not only can they change the way we think about things that are maybe good for us, like potentially the ability, you know, to have self-defense.
02:25:35.000 How about that one?
02:25:36.000 Second Amendment, built right into the Constitution.
02:25:38.000 They change it with propaganda and make it seem like it's a bad thing to care about the Constitution or a bad thing to care about your privacy.
02:25:47.000 They also do the same thing on the other side, where they take something that's utterly revolting, like genetically modified foods, as our guest was talking about, and change it around and make it into a good thing.
02:25:58.000 Or the idea of taking your kids and putting them into a government institution where they're practically in a straitjacket for 14,000 hours of seat time Between kindergarten and twelfth grade.
02:26:09.000 Fourteen thousand hours.
02:26:11.000 Between twelve and fourteen thousand hours our kids get indoctrinated in these government institutions.
02:26:16.000 But that's a good thing!
02:26:17.000 That's all about democracy.
02:26:19.000 Well, John Rapoport, I want to ask you, when you were talking about this, how they get the elite on board, what I couldn't help but think about is the Toilet to Tap program.
02:26:29.000 Now this is a program in Southern California and elsewhere where they're trying to convince the public that it's okay To drink reclaimed sewage water.
02:26:38.000 Toilet to tap is the phrase that they want to eradicate, and instead they want to call it water reclamation.
02:26:44.000 Is that part of the same propaganda message here, and are they going to succeed with this kind of thing?
02:26:51.000 It is part of the same propaganda message.
02:26:55.000 I mean, I would counter that by just showing a couple dogs lapping water out of a toilet and saying, is this what you are?
02:27:02.000 Is this where you're going to drink from?
02:27:04.000 But, yeah, this is the same idea.
02:27:07.000 There isn't enough to go around.
02:27:09.000 Oh, no, there's not enough to go around, and so everybody has to conserve.
02:27:13.000 I mean, Jimmy Carter tried that all those years ago, and it was a total failure.
02:27:17.000 Because the truth is, is that there are saltwater conversion plants all over the world, hundreds of them that convert saltwater to freshwater.
02:27:25.000 And the only question has been about the cost of doing it.
02:27:29.000 Well, when an administration can waste trillions of dollars, untold trillions, on illegal, illegitimate wars, and...
02:27:41.000 And buying billions of rounds of ammunition and so on and so forth, we could all run it down for the next 12 days on how all this money is being stolen and spent and taken from people and so on.
02:27:52.000 You would think, you would think that a federal government that cared at all would say, gee, I have an idea, let's put up 15 to 20 great saltwater conversion plants around the United States on the coast.
02:28:06.000 And we'll produce fresh water because the technology is there.
02:28:09.000 It's been there for a long time.
02:28:10.000 Yeah, it's going to cost a little bit extra.
02:28:12.000 Maybe the government will have to kick in a few subsidy bucks to make this happen with private companies.
02:28:17.000 We could have all the fresh water we want.
02:28:20.000 But no.
02:28:21.000 No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
02:28:22.000 That's not part of the propaganda campaign.
02:28:25.000 Because the propaganda campaign is aimed at convincing people that it's all scarce.
02:28:30.000 We don't have enough.
02:28:31.000 We're running out.
02:28:32.000 It's terrible.
02:28:32.000 And you've got to let us take charge.
02:28:34.000 I think this fear-mongering is such a potent way to get people to give up their liberties.
02:28:39.000 If you say, listen, we're all going to die, then people say, OK, well, do anything you can.
02:28:44.000 I'll do whatever you say.
02:28:46.000 Just make that not happen.
02:28:47.000 And that's how you get Agenda 21.
02:28:49.000 That's how you get the takeovers, these public-private partnerships.
02:28:52.000 That's how you wind up with all of this.
02:28:54.000 I just have to read this, John, because this was blowing my mind here.
02:28:58.000 In Arizona, a case is currently ongoing in the federal court over the use of this toilet to tap reclaimed water to make snow at a ski resort.
02:29:07.000 So, this is in Flagstaff.
02:29:08.000 The U.S.
02:29:09.000 Forest Service has actually put up a sign telling people not to eat the snow, even though it's safe for skiing, it's not safe for eating.
02:29:16.000 So, just had to throw that out there.
02:29:18.000 There's a lawsuit against it.
02:29:19.000 My hat is off to whoever filed that.
02:29:20.000 Yeah, you better be a good skier because if you fall on your face in the snow, you're going to be eating the toilet.
02:29:25.000 You know?
02:29:26.000 What if I had an accident today and I fell on my face while I was skiing and then all of a sudden I got this infection?
02:29:32.000 I don't know what the connection is here, but yeah, exactly.
02:29:36.000 Diphtheria.
02:29:38.000 You avoid the snow in Flagstaff, all you folks out there in Arizona.
02:29:42.000 All right, I'm your host, Dr. Kathryn Albrecht, your guest host, that is, filling in for Alex Jones.
02:29:46.000 My guest, John Rapoport, and I will be right back right after this.

02:33:19.000 Okay, we're back. we're back.
02:33:39.000 Katharine Albrecht here.
02:33:40.000 My guest this hour, John Rapoport.
02:33:42.000 NoMoreFakeNews.com.
02:33:44.000 Also want to point you over to my website at KMAShow.com.
02:33:47.000 My own live radio program comes on about an hour after this one ends, so I'm doing a radio marathon.
02:33:53.000 Here I am.
02:33:54.000 Run, run, run.
02:33:55.000 No place I'd rather be, gotta tell ya.
02:33:57.000 And filling in for Alex Jones yesterday, today, and Friday, as he gets a little break out there.
02:34:02.000 Listen, speaking of InfoWars and giving Alex a break, I am going to step into his shoes and say a good word for all of the fabulous sponsors that keep this program on the air.
02:34:12.000 I want to thank all you listeners for your support of the radio program.
02:34:16.000 I also want to thank eFoods Direct, ProPure, Water Filters, and the good folks over at Yongevity.
02:34:22.000 And of course, if you haven't read it yet, I want to encourage you to get a copy or multiple copies and distribute them of the new InfoWars magazine.
02:34:31.000 Now I'm personally familiar with InfoWars because as one of the creators of StartPage.com, the world's most private search engine, we were one of the flagship early advertisers in the InfoWars magazine.
02:34:43.000 You know, it started out, it was just going to be a couple thousand copies, and then it just exploded.
02:34:48.000 And I've got to tell you, it is beautifully produced.
02:34:51.000 I've been involved in a lot of media projects, and I've got to tell you, the folks at Infowars really know how to put something out.
02:34:57.000 It's beautiful, it is informative, it's eye-opening, and it's the kind of thing you can just maybe buy a bunch of copies and leave them sitting at bus stops and train stations, leave one in the museum.
02:35:09.000 All right, I got a clip here.
02:35:09.000 Leave them hanging out.
02:35:11.000 If you're missing Alex's voice, I am too.
02:35:13.000 Let's go ahead and listen to him talk about the Infowars magazine.
02:35:17.000 InfoWars Magazine is more than just our answer to the internet kill switch.
02:35:21.000 We're also going back to the roots of this country, when our founders, for a decade before 1776, known as the Pamploteers, with hundreds of little printing presses in every colony, got out the real news, the real information, and countered the system.
02:35:36.000 This is tailored design with the truth to wake up your friends and family.
02:35:41.000 This is the 21st century version of the Pamploteers.
02:35:44.000 So get them at InfoWarshop.com or InfoWarsTore.com.
02:35:48.000 Sign up and buy them in bulk.
02:35:50.000 Sign up and be a micro distributor for a full year to buy them in bulk and get one of the new stands added or sign up and get 12 issues delivered to your door or give a gift subscription.
02:36:01.000 Whatever you do, be part of the fight and I want to salute And thank all of you that are subscribers and are getting the magazine in bulk or who have ever come to InfoWarsTore.com and bought any of our products because we are supported by patriots and liberty lovers like you.
02:36:17.000 We couldn't do it without you.
02:36:23.000 Hey, good to hear his voice, isn't it?
02:36:23.000 There you have it.
02:36:26.000 All right.
02:36:27.000 He will be back, by the way, next week, so you'll get all the Alex you can handle.
02:36:31.000 And, you know, I love it when he goes into overdrive because it means he's really got something good going on.
02:36:36.000 And I had the privilege of being in the Austin Infowars studios last week and actually going into a little bit of overdrive.
02:36:43.000 It's kind of nice.
02:36:44.000 I've gotten some email, by the way, from listeners to Alex's show and also listeners to my own radio show.
02:36:49.000 People writing in saying, you know, it's kind of nice on occasion You know, to hear a woman's voice.
02:36:53.000 We've got Melissa doing the evening news, kind of bringing some women into the inner circle of the Liberty Movement.
02:37:00.000 And, you know, we bring a different, maybe a little different approach, but I've got to tell you that behind the soft voice, there's a big stick.
02:37:10.000 My latest battle, just to keep you guys posted and up to date, is against the RFID badges being worn around students' necks in San Antonio, Texas.
02:37:19.000 That's where the school district there has required 4,200 students to wear a remotely readable tracking beacon around their necks.
02:37:27.000 I know Alex has been keeping you guys posted on that.
02:37:29.000 I want to let you know...
02:37:31.000 That I am involved in a documentary video project on that.
02:37:35.000 We'd love to get some support from InfoWars listeners out there.
02:37:39.000 If you'd like to be a part of that, you can contact me, KMA at spychips.com.
02:37:44.000 You can also check out our website at chipfreeschools.com.
02:37:47.000 I'm working with Heather Fazio from Tag, Texas.
02:37:50.000 She's been a guest on the show in the past too.
02:37:51.000 Good work happening down there.
02:37:53.000 I'm going to be flying back out to San Antonio in about a week and probably back there again at the end of the month.
02:37:59.000 So lots of travel in my future.
02:38:01.000 Keep me in your prayers because that's a big battle.
02:38:03.000 If we don't stop it in San Antonio, that nasty program is going to spread across Texas and then it's going to spread across the U.S.
02:38:10.000 Then you're going to have every kid in the country Having the expectation that government authorities have the right to literally monitor and record their location every 25 seconds all day long.
02:38:21.000 We gotta stop it, we gotta nip it in the bud, and I need your help to do that.
02:38:24.000 Alright, John Rapoport, you know, before the break we were talking about Toilet2Tap and GMO.
02:38:29.000 What are your views on what they're doing to our kids?
02:38:32.000 Because it really feels like the kids are in the crosshairs these days, doesn't it?
02:38:36.000 Absolutely.
02:38:37.000 That's the, you know, the traditional program is brainwash the kids.
02:38:43.000 Get them involved.
02:38:45.000 Get them to think that government is the great dispenser of everything good, and that schools and government are really just one thing, which they're turning out to be, of course.
02:38:58.000 But it's the malleable brains and minds of the kids that they are working on here.
02:39:03.000 But I gotta tell you, That when a kid sees and reads about and watches video of drones everywhere in the sky and tanks rolling down the streets of the United States, U.S.
02:39:18.000 Army tanks and so on and so forth, these kids are going to get their own ideas.
02:39:23.000 Because the one thing that the government can't do is you can't take the life out of a kid altogether.
02:39:31.000 And scratch his ability to rebel.
02:39:33.000 And I've seen that all over the place on the internet.
02:39:36.000 And I've seen it in my life, because I used to teach school and private school.
02:39:41.000 And I watched what would happen to kids who were, you know, just ground under the heel of teachers, counselors, principals, parents, media, the government, etc, etc, etc.
02:39:54.000 And it was amazing.
02:39:56.000 What was going on under the surface?
02:39:58.000 What happens when you actually sit down with one of these kids?
02:40:01.000 They do not fold in all cases.
02:40:05.000 There are a lot of kids that come out of this cauldron when they get to be beyond adolescence.
02:40:12.000 They realize what's going on.
02:40:13.000 They realize this is a big control mechanism.
02:40:17.000 We're dealing with here and if you're if you're expelling them for chewing their pop-tarts into the wrong shape or or cutting out the letter L and holding it like a gun you know they're also going to grow up and think that they're they're living in a world of lunatics so clearly that's going to mess with them and I've seen it really go two different directions I'm sure you have as well where either the kids become completely rebellious and say, forget all of this.
02:40:42.000 I don't want any part of any of it.
02:40:43.000 Or they become completely discouraged and docile and on medication because they don't even have the whatever it takes to get through the day because they've been so beaten down and they feel so extraordinarily discouraged.
02:40:57.000 So, you know, I think this is really where parents and adults, caring adults, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, brothers, sisters, people who are aware and alive and vibrant, you know, take a kid out.
02:41:11.000 Take him out away from the video games.
02:41:13.000 Take him away from school for a day.
02:41:15.000 Take him someplace to actually have some real life, real world experiences.
02:41:20.000 And let them, you know, feel the wind in their hair and the sun on their face because so many of these kids, I mean, they're living in this artificial world of Madison Avenue and television and video games and having, what was the statistic I read on yesterday's program, less than 30 minutes of meaningful conversation per week for the average adolescent male in this country with their parents.
02:41:42.000 Less than 30 minutes a week.
02:41:44.000 And if they're not talking to their parents, they're not talking to any other adults either.
02:41:47.000 Let me say what's coming up right on the horizon.
02:41:50.000 In two months we're going to see the issue of a new bible out of the psychiatric profession.
02:41:54.000 It's called the DSM.
02:41:56.000 I've written about it a lot before.
02:41:58.000 It's the whole list of all the officially certified mental disorders.
02:42:02.000 And kids are going to be a major target of this.
02:42:06.000 Because definitions are going to be expanded to allow more kids to be diagnosed with ADHD, bipolar, depression, oppositional defiance disorder.
02:42:15.000 These are all made-up crap definitions that don't correspond to anything in reality at all.
02:42:21.000 They're not based on any science whatsoever.
02:42:24.000 There are no diagnostic tests.
02:42:26.000 For any psychiatric disorder, no blood test, no saliva test, no brain scan, no genetic test.
02:42:32.000 I've shown that evidence time and time again.
02:42:35.000 The whole profession is a complete fraud.
02:42:38.000 And what's going to happen with the new issue of this Bible is that they're going to go after these kids in a way that you've never seen before in public schools.
02:42:48.000 Diagnosing with these disorders and drugging the life out of them.
02:42:52.000 Yeah, let me jump in for just a second, John, because I've got a question for you.
02:42:56.000 When you talk about the people putting out this manual, are you talking about the psychiatrists or the psychologists?
02:43:02.000 Because I think there's a difference there.
02:43:03.000 The American Psychiatric Association is the publisher of the DSM, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
02:43:12.000 Because the reason I think it's important to make that distinction, the psychiatrists are medical doctors who prescribe drugs.
02:43:18.000 If you go to see a psychiatrist for whatever emotional problem you're having, you will leave with a prescription in your hand.
02:43:25.000 If you go to see a psychologist, on the other hand, and my own background is in psychology, human development and psychology, our guest in the last hour, Dr. Philip Zimbardo, a psychologist who's used his understanding of human behavior to try to promote heroism and goodness, I don't want to paint all the psychologists with a bad brush, because I know that there are people out there doing good stuff.
02:43:45.000 I'm talking about psychiatrists.
02:43:46.000 That's what I'm talking about here.
02:43:47.000 And the thing about schools is, you see, that through their counselors, the kid is going to get referred to a psychiatrist.
02:43:56.000 That's what's going to happen, because that's where the diagnosis is made, and that's what these schools are all tuned up to do by the government.
02:44:04.000 We want more diagnoses, and the more diagnoses of these mental disorders you get coming out of the schools, the more federal money pours into the schools, and the more drugs are dispensed.
02:44:16.000 And these kids are drugged with killer toxic compounds.
02:44:20.000 All the way from the ADH drugs like Ritalin and Adderall to Valproate and Lithium for bipolar, which can actually kill you.
02:44:29.000 So this is what we're seeing is the vast increase of the drugging of kids at a younger and younger age by psychiatrists.
02:44:37.000 And the schools, although yes, they have psychologists on staff or that they're connected with, The machine pushes these kids into psychiatrist offices where the diagnoses are made and the drugs are given.
02:44:50.000 And if the parents are clueless, this kid is going to be destroyed for the rest of his life.
02:44:54.000 Well, and it's no surprise, too, because we weren't made for that kind of environment.
02:44:58.000 So, you try to jam kids into a sit-down, be-still, don't-move.
02:45:03.000 And, you know, childhood adolescents are the two times when people should most be active.
02:45:09.000 And here we are, forcing them to sit in a chair and then label them as somehow Uh, ill or, or maladjusted if they can't do it.
02:45:17.000 I, I would almost say that the kid who's able to sit in a chair and follow the rules and keep their mouth shut for eight hours a day, 14,000 hours between kindergarten and, and high school, you know, that a kid who's able to do that is one we ought to probably go, hello!
02:45:30.000 Anybody in there, you know?
02:45:31.000 By the way, Josh Welch, who is the kid with the strawberry tart gun?
02:45:36.000 In the story that ran about him, you look at a painting that he did.
02:45:36.000 Yes.
02:45:39.000 He's a very talented artist.
02:45:42.000 And he has been diagnosed with ADHD.
02:45:44.000 Undoubtedly, he's on Ritalin, you see, because Oh, he's got other interests than what's going on in the classroom, so he must be sick.
02:45:51.000 So we have to diagnose him.
02:45:53.000 Yeah, the kid is a talented painter.
02:45:55.000 So he's bored, he's sitting there, and he starts fooling around, biting pieces out of a strawberry tart, and all of a sudden, teacher says, hey, that looks like a gun, we gotta suspend you from school.
02:46:06.000 That teacher is mentally ill.
02:46:10.000 Yeah, and they're sending a message to the kid, you know, don't ever do, you know, don't ever eat your Pop-Tart in any way other than the other kids eat their Pop-Tarts.
02:46:18.000 So we're going to bop you on the head.
02:46:19.000 Don't make a shape out of that tart.
02:46:23.000 I want to open up the phone lines now.
02:46:26.000 1-800-259-9231.
02:46:26.000 Also, I've been getting your email coming in.
02:46:28.000 KMA at spychips.com is my email.
02:46:31.000 KMAshow.com is my website.
02:46:34.000 And I got an email.
02:46:36.000 I got to share this one with you.
02:46:37.000 This comes in from old, white, cranky male, Phillip.
02:46:40.000 And I got a kick out of his email.
02:46:42.000 He says, Alex Jones is not getting a gentle massage, nor is he getting his hair or nails done, nor having a quiet romantic dinner.
02:46:49.000 Please.
02:46:50.000 He is out shooting a Barrett .50 caliber, killing wild boars with just a pocket knife, getting muddied and bloodied, sunburnt, cut up by cactus, wrestling with his son, running the dogs, painting, getting up early with his telescope to look at the heavens, wrangling with his wife, kissing his daughters on the forehead and fussing over them, thanking God and strategizing the next expansion of the fight.
02:47:13.000 And then he gives me a little rib.
02:47:14.000 He says, you're such a girl.
02:47:16.000 And then you put, that's a joke.
02:47:17.000 Alright.
02:47:17.000 Yeah.
02:47:18.000 He wants my battle yell.
02:47:19.000 I'll have to work on that.
02:47:20.000 I'll see if I can do that on Good News Friday for you there.
02:47:22.000 Philip, thank you for setting me straight.
02:47:25.000 You know, I know Alex is not doing that.
02:47:26.000 I just sometimes wish he would, you know, because I want him around for a while.
02:47:30.000 And I got to tell you, sometimes I see that blood pressure start to inch up the scale.
02:47:34.000 And I'm like, Alex, dude.
02:47:36.000 So, you know.
02:47:37.000 I am a girl, and I do relax in different ways.
02:47:39.000 Maybe shooting that Barrett .50 caliber is just what he needs to get that blood pressure down again.
02:47:44.000 All right, let's go to the phone lines.
02:47:45.000 We've got Mike calling in from Tennessee.
02:47:47.000 Hi, Mike.
02:47:48.000 You're on with, let's see, myself, Catherine Albrecht, and also John Rappaport.
02:47:53.000 Go right ahead.
02:47:55.000 Oh, good morning, or good afternoon.
02:47:58.000 In the prisons, any time a person does anything that is not of the norm, they automatically send them in to see a psychiatrist.
02:48:05.000 No question about it.
02:48:06.000 automatic fallback is drugs.
02:48:08.000 And if you're feeling fine, they'll always tell you, if there's anything we can do, if you would like one of these drugs, just let us know which flavor you like, and they will prescribe them to you. - No question about it.
02:48:21.000 And to follow up on that, soldiers in the battlefield, going back to 1999, if you wanted to enlist in the Army and you had any kind of history of any psychiatric drug use, including Ritalin, you couldn't get in.
02:48:34.000 Now, a mere decade or so later, not only do you get in, But you have to say that you will take psychiatric drugs and not just Ritalin.
02:48:45.000 And they give battlefield soldiers that are going out into the field packs of a couple of weeks at least at a time of these psychiatric drugs, highly dangerous antidepressants like Prozac, Zoloft, and so on.
02:48:58.000 And these soldiers are self-medicating out in the field.
02:49:01.000 Now these drugs cause violent Yeah, and it's not just there.
02:49:06.000 They're making the deals everywhere.
02:49:08.000 There's enormous, you know, literally billions of dollars being made in this.
02:49:11.000 Hey, thanks for the call, Mike.
02:49:12.000 I want to go to Mark, calling in from Florida.
02:49:14.000 Hi, Mark.
02:49:15.000 You're on with John Rapoport and Catherine Albrecht.
02:49:16.000 companies making a deal with the army and the pentagon yeah and it's not just it's not just there they're making the deals everywhere there's enormous you know literally billions of dollars being made in this hey thanks for the call mike want to go to mark calling in from florida hi mark you're on with john rapapurin katherine albrecht go ahead hey john you're on the Yeah, my son was on Orlin in school, and I understand everything you guys are saying.
02:49:39.000 I did want to touch on another subject about the Linda Jordan case, about Obama's eligibility fraud, and also Orly Tate, which hasn't been covered in the media.
02:49:48.000 I just wanted to point that out.
02:49:50.000 Maybe somebody could look into that.
02:49:51.000 All right.
02:49:52.000 Well, we've got the producers standing by listening.
02:49:54.000 I'm sure they're taking good notes on that.
02:49:55.000 So thanks for the tip.
02:49:57.000 And let's see if we can get in one more call before this break coming up.
02:50:00.000 Let's go to Sean calling in from Texas.
02:50:04.000 Good afternoon.
02:50:04.000 Hello.
02:50:05.000 Hey Sean, you're on with John Rappaport and Kathryn Albrecht.
02:50:08.000 Go right ahead.
02:50:08.000 Oh, I've been wanting to talk to y'all for so long.
02:50:11.000 I listen to you all the time.
02:50:15.000 Would it be fair to say that patience is a learned behavior?
02:50:20.000 I understand people are born with different dispositions, but generally speaking, most of the things that we go through, childhood and early adulthood and so on, we learn how to discipline ourselves.
02:50:35.000 We learn how to react and act in certain situations.
02:50:40.000 And the reason I'm asking this is because I'm Almost 100% certain that when I was young, I probably would have been diagnosed with ADHD in school, but you know, I had parents and teachers that worked through my... Tell you what, let me let me tackle that.
02:50:56.000 Let me tackle that in the other end of this break that actually ties into my area of expertise, developmental psychology.
02:51:01.000 So we'll cover that when we come back with John Rappaport.
02:51:04.000 Stay tuned.
02:51:05.000 We'll be right back.

02:54:21.000 Hey, Catherine Albrecht back with you.
02:54:30.000 We all know Alex Jones is out there.
02:54:32.000 What is he doing?
02:54:33.000 Wrestling cactuses with his bare hands?
02:54:35.000 Yeah.
02:54:36.000 Glad he's doing whatever it is he's up to out there, and I'm glad you're with me this hour.
02:54:41.000 We are kind of shooting the breeze just a little bit with John Rapoport.
02:54:45.000 No More Fake News is his website.
02:54:47.000 Just before the break, we got a question coming in from a caller who I think has dropped off to hear the answer on the air, but the question being, is patience a learned skill?
02:54:57.000 And the answer to that is that human beings go through some pretty well-defined phases.
02:55:02.000 Like all of us go through the same phases of development through certain years of early childhood.
02:55:07.000 And you can really mess those up if you're not careful.
02:55:10.000 But, yes, patience is indeed one of them.
02:55:13.000 Where we learn how to moderate our behavior.
02:55:15.000 You know, if you look at a little kid, they don't get their way, and they immediately burst into tears.
02:55:19.000 And you like to think that adults don't get their way, and we're a little more strategic about how we respond to things than children.
02:55:27.000 And, yes, caller, you were absolutely right that it can be the help of an adult.
02:55:31.000 You know, normally a parent or a caring adult that's a member of your inner circle who can kind of take you by the hand and guide you through those periods of time.
02:55:39.000 That's normally the role of parents.
02:55:42.000 Now we're putting it out to the schools, but teachers don't have time to do that for 35 kids.
02:55:46.000 You know, my mom is a schoolteacher in the Los Angeles schools.
02:55:49.000 She has over 150 kids in her caseload.
02:55:52.000 I said to her, Mom, how can you even know their names, much less have an opportunity to sit there And help each one of them with their individual issues.
02:56:00.000 And each of those kids has six different teachers.
02:56:02.000 Each of those teachers has 150 kids.
02:56:04.000 So, unless the parents are really stepping in and doing it, it's no wonder that the schools are saying, yeah, let's stick them on drugs.
02:56:12.000 It's the only thing we can do.
02:56:13.000 We don't have the resources to do anything else.
02:56:15.000 So that's why they're being drugs.
02:56:16.000 You don't see homeschooled kids being prescribed these kinds of medications because homeschooled kids are given the helping hand by the adults to get through those troubles.
02:56:27.000 Yeah.
02:56:28.000 All right, let's see if we can fit in one or two more phone calls.
02:56:30.000 Let's go to, let's see, we got Mona listening in Connecticut.
02:56:36.000 Hey, Mona.
02:56:37.000 Yes, hi.
02:56:38.000 Thank you for having me, Dr. Albert.
02:56:41.000 I really admire your work.
02:56:44.000 I have younger cousins who are in elementary school in Massachusetts and it's pretty much a norm for the kids to have all these cell phones and smart phones.
02:56:57.000 Sure.
02:56:58.000 And now they're getting more and more linked into the school system according to what my aunt has told me.
02:57:04.000 So my question is, is it really my place to Uh, to talk to my cousins about this and warn them.
02:57:15.000 Well I'm looking at the clock and we're about to get cut off here so let me just jump in with an answer and I would say absolutely.
02:57:22.000 I almost died of breast cancer and now that I'm coming back the one thing I've learned is if I've got something to say I better say it now because I may not get another chance and the person I need to say it to may never hear it again from anybody else unless I do.
02:57:34.000 It doesn't mean you be a pest and you be a pain and you rag on people but it means you say what you know and you provide them with the facts and then you just graciously step back and let them do with it what they will.
02:57:43.000 Hey, thanks for the call, Mona.
02:57:44.000 Sorry to David, Matt, and Helena that I was not able to get to your calls, but we are coming down to the end of the show.
02:57:50.000 John Rapoport, I want to thank you so much for being my guest this hour and for all you've done over the years for InfoWars.
