00:00:23.220 great to be here. And I'm especially happy because this November, we are going to win
00:00:30.560 in the state of Pennsylvania.
00:00:41.720 We are going to elect Doug Mastriano to be the Governor of Pennsylvania.
00:00:53.220 And we will do that because Pennsylvania needs somebody to stand up against violent crime,
00:01:02.220 to stand up and stand against mandates and restrictions. You need a Governor who's willing to stand up
00:01:09.220 to Biden's failed policies.
00:01:11.220 So you have these races, there's primaries, people support one candidate or another, and
00:01:22.220 that's fine. But once that's over, it's important that all Republicans get on board and support
00:01:28.220 our Governor candidate.
00:01:30.220 And that means not just Republican voters, it means Republican organizations in Pennsylvania
00:01:43.220 and throughout the country need to be invested in this race. They need to devote resources to
00:01:49.220 this race. Look, I come from what has been known as the most famous swing state in the country.
00:01:55.220 Now, when I got elected Governor, we had 300,000 more Democrats than we did Republicans. Since
00:02:01.220 I've been Governor, we've changed that. We now have 232,000 more Republicans than Democrats.
00:02:10.220 So it may be the case, it may be the case that Pennsylvania is now the most important swing
00:02:16.220 state in the country because we've gotten redder in Florida. But these are important races and we need
00:02:24.220 everyone on board. And the same thing, you know, with the Senate race. I think people need to support
00:02:29.220 Dr. Oz for the Senate. It's very important.
00:02:38.220 Very important not to send a very hardened leftist to the Senate. But I'll tell you this. One thing about
00:02:43.220 these Governor's races is, you know, as a Governor, you're not just electing some politician like you would in some of these other offices. And not that there's anything wrong with the
00:02:53.220 other offices, but a Governor worth his salt is going to be somebody who's capable of being a leader. And there's really no substitute for that. You can hide in a Congress one of 435. The buck doesn't stop with you. You can vote. You don't necessarily have to always be in the spotlight if you don't want to. Well, when you're the Governor, the buck stops with you and you've got to be willing to lead and you've got to be willing to stand up for people in your state. And when you're the governor, the buck stops with you.
00:03:16.220 The buck stops with you. And you've got to be willing to lead and you've got to be willing to stand up for people in your state. And when I got elected Governor, what I did was immediately say I am not doing any polling as Governor. I'm not going to lead based on polls. I'm going to lead based off conviction. I'm going to lead based off doing what's right.
00:03:38.220 And if you think about it, I can take a poll of this room right now. But, you know, that doesn't really tell me what I need to know in any event. That just tells me some static analysis of how you may view a certain issue.
00:03:57.740 What it doesn't tell me is if I'm willing to set out a vision, if I'm willing to execute on that vision and I deliver good results, then what are the results going to be?
00:04:07.760 And the fact of the matter is if you lead and you lead with strength and courage and you deliver results, the people will be with you. And that's what we've shown in Florida.
00:04:16.440 The other thing a governor can do that is different from some other offices, and this is what we've done in Florida, we didn't just sit idly by hoping that issues didn't come on our desk.
00:04:32.860 We went on offense in the state of Florida. We made sure that we were getting in front of key issues and delivering victories for the state of Florida.
00:04:41.880 And look, what's the result? What's the result? Just this last July, even with everything that Biden is throwing at us in terms of higher energy prices, inflation, all these things, Florida alone added over 70,000 private sector jobs in the month of July.
00:05:00.020 We have more people. We have more people employed in the state of Florida than we did pre-COVID.
00:05:07.040 And there's a lot of states that have not recovered back then. And our unemployment rate now is less than it was prior to the onset of COVID.
00:05:19.960 And of course, we do all of that with no state income tax.
00:05:25.080 But even with no state income tax, Florida just ended its most recent fiscal year with the largest budget surplus in the history of our state.
00:05:44.500 Represented 20% of the budget was surplus.
00:05:48.220 And none of that would have been possible had we allowed our state to descend into some type of Faucian dystopia where people's freedoms were curtailed and their livelihoods were destroyed.
00:06:04.060 No, we saw how people in places like Pennsylvania were locking people down.
00:06:09.680 And in Florida, we lifted people up.
00:06:21.860 We made sure that people's rights were protected, their jobs were preserved, small businesses could operate, and that every single kid in the state of Florida would be able to go and to be in school in person five days a week.
00:06:35.240 And it was not popular to take those positions when we did.
00:06:39.000 We had so much corporate media smearing the left going against us.
00:06:43.980 Even some of these establishment Republicans were saying, oh, you can't do that because we were bucking Fauci.
00:06:51.280 We were not following some of these bureaucrats who had no regard for your freedom, who had no regard for the struggles that people were going through due to their policies.
00:07:02.220 And then what they said was, don't leave your house.
00:07:06.180 But then when they wanted to go out and do the Floyd protests and the riots, then they said that was OK.
00:07:12.820 So these people were not someone that you wanted to be listening to.
00:07:16.940 You needed to follow the data yourself.
00:07:19.240 And that's what we did.
00:07:20.400 We weren't going to subcontract out leadership to a bunch of health bureaucrats.
00:07:24.880 We looked at the whole picture.
00:07:26.940 And I'll tell you, we took flack.
00:07:29.260 We took arrows, but I told myself during that whole time, my job as governor is to protect the jobs of the people that I represent.
00:07:37.800 And if that if protecting their job means it doesn't work out me for politically and somehow it costs me mine, then so be it.
00:07:54.780 That's the price of leadership.
00:07:56.620 You don't lead by trying to cover your own hide.
00:07:59.980 We're also proud in the state of Florida that we put our students and young people first.
00:08:16.280 We were not going to let them be locked out of school for ends on end like they did in California and these other places.
00:08:23.360 We banned school districts from forced masking these young kids in school.
00:08:31.600 And I must say, I see now Philadelphia is forcing masks on students.
00:08:43.720 And they said that they were telling me that Pittsburgh may do that, too.
00:08:48.320 There is no justification for muzzling students for eight hours a day.
00:08:57.060 It is wrong.
00:08:57.920 And it has no place in this state or any state in these United States.
00:09:03.220 We need to look out for their best interests and their well-being and their education.
00:09:16.180 We also need to make sure that our societies are free and not submit to a biomedical security state.
00:09:23.960 And to that end, in the state of Florida, we were one of the first states in the country to ban vaccine passports in our state.
00:09:31.080 You should be able to go to a movie theater or go to a restaurant without having to cough up your medical papers.
00:09:43.240 And you know what?
00:09:45.240 Because we did that and because we made sure our state was free in 2021, Florida set a record for domestic tourism.
00:09:54.020 Never have we seen anything like that in our state.
00:10:01.080 We also fought back on the Biden administration and some big corporations when they were trying to impose employment vax mandates.
00:10:13.380 In the state of Florida, we called a special session of the legislature to provide protections for all Floridians because our policy is very simple.
00:10:22.720 No Floridian should have to choose between a job they need and a shot they don't want.
00:10:27.440 And even as now, even the CDC is backhandedly acknowledging that the shots aren't preventing people from getting infected.
00:10:46.340 There has never been a basis to mandate this forcibly on anybody.
00:10:50.840 And yet they still cling to some of these outdated policies.
00:10:55.360 Every single mandate in this country needs to be reversed today.
00:11:00.620 And I think if someone's been forced to do this, if they have an adverse reaction, they should be able to sue and be able to get damages.
00:11:19.000 So being the free state of Florida has caused a lot of people to want to come visit, live there.
00:11:28.860 I'll tell you one of the things that has caused so many people to want to move into Florida over the last few years is that we are unabashedly a law and order state.
00:11:37.880 We saw some of the worst rioting we've ever seen in this country two years ago, burning down cities like Minneapolis, seeing all kind of destruction in New York and these other places.
00:11:54.760 Well, in Florida, I said that is not going to fly.
00:11:57.440 We immediately called out the National Guard.
00:12:00.160 We had state law enforcement ready.
00:12:03.300 We weren't going to let the state burn to the ground.
00:12:05.960 We also understood that this is something that is likely going to continue in our society.
00:12:12.820 And so we passed legislation banning local governments from defunding the police in the state of Florida.
00:12:26.000 We also ensured that people would be held accountable.
00:12:29.900 If you are out there rioting in a place like Portland, they will arrest you.
00:12:34.580 They'll take your mug shot.
00:12:36.340 They slap you on the wrist.
00:12:37.740 They put you right back on the street to do it again.
00:12:40.220 And in Florida, we said, no, if you're engaging in rioting or looting or mob violence, you're not getting the slap on the wrist.
00:12:48.020 You're getting the inside of a jail cell.
00:12:50.160 Americans are discovering that if we want to change this nation, we have to change the way the marketplace works.

00:13:02.900 Big banks are freezing the accounts of people who disagree with their political views.

00:15:02.120 And the tragedy of it is, is this Philadelphia is where the Declaration of Independence was signed.
00:15:09.160 Philadelphia is where our Constitution is created.
00:15:12.220 We need better for that important city than what we're getting right now.
00:15:16.460 I can tell you this, in Florida, when we recently had a prosecutor, yes, backed by Soros,
00:15:30.140 who said he's going to decide which laws he's going to enforce and which laws he's not going to enforce,
00:15:37.120 we responded to that and we removed him from his position.
00:15:41.500 So Doug Mastriano will be a law and order governor, and this needs to be a law and order state.
00:16:03.220 We also need somebody as governor here who's going to be tough on illegal immigration.
00:16:09.140 And that means he needs to get the legislature to pass and he can sign a ban on sanctuary cities in the state of Pennsylvania.
00:16:18.720 We did that in Florida.
00:16:23.420 Because you see what Biden's doing at the border.
00:16:26.560 This is an intentional policy.
00:16:29.360 He came into office.
00:16:31.040 He reversed all of President Trump's policies.
00:16:34.300 He wanted to have more illegal immigration.
00:16:37.020 And what has the result been?
00:16:38.980 Record human trafficking.
00:16:41.080 Record sex trafficking.
00:16:42.920 And record amounts of fentanyl coming into our country.
00:16:46.780 The leading cause of death for people 18 to 45 right now in these United States is fentanyl overdose.
00:16:54.080 That would not be happening if our border was secure.
00:16:58.160 And Biden will not.
00:16:59.360 He refuses to put up a wall at the southern border, but he's spending a half a million dollars to put up a wall around his beach house in Delaware.
00:17:08.980 But what his policy does, it shows contempt for every single person in this room and everybody throughout our country.
00:17:21.940 He doesn't give a damn that our communities are being ravaged by fentanyl.
00:17:26.300 He doesn't give a damn that you have criminal aliens pouring into our country.
00:17:30.320 He's just sitting back and letting it happen.
00:17:33.260 Well, we need to make sure we're fighting back at the state level.
00:17:36.120 You know, these places that consider themselves sanctuary jurisdictions like D.C. and New York, they don't like when the red states are sending illegal aliens to their communities.
00:17:52.080 And Florida, we're happy.

00:17:54.380 We're happy to help out in any of that when we can, including not just send to New York and D.C.
00:17:59.860 You need to be sending to Delaware as well.
00:18:08.660 So I think Biden's been weak on our borders.
00:18:11.420 I also think he's been weak against our number one adversary, the Communist Party of China.
00:18:16.940 He's been soft on China.
00:18:21.900 He's pretty much his whole career supported things like giving him most favored nation trade status, putting him in the WTO.
00:18:29.060 They've taken so much industry from our country.
00:18:32.060 And now is everything is made in China.
00:18:33.860 When COVID hit, every single thing we needed for our hospitals was made in China.
00:18:38.660 That is not good for our national security.
00:18:41.920 And that's not the way you run a country.
00:18:44.160 And so we need to be serious about combating the influence of the CCP here in our country.
00:18:50.140 I can tell you in Florida, we've signed legislation banning things like Confucius Institutes from our universities.
00:18:57.180 We've also been a leader in ensuring election integrity in the state of Florida.
00:19:11.920 When I became governor, one of the first things I did was accept the resignation of Brenda Snipes, who was the supervisor of election down in Broward County.
00:19:22.060 We removed the Palm Beach County supervisor of elections.
00:19:25.740 And when COVID hit, we refused to allow any unconstitutional changes to election procedure.
00:19:32.860 We followed the law.
00:19:37.260 The result was, while it took states like Pennsylvania days and even weeks to count the ballots, Florida had all of its vote, 99% of its vote counted by midnight on election night.
00:19:50.460 11 million votes.
00:19:55.740 And people actually, after the election, looked back and said, man, why can't every state do it like Florida?
00:20:03.720 I can tell you, they didn't used to say that about Florida.
00:20:08.040 But here's the thing.
00:20:09.820 We understood.
00:20:11.740 We had a lot of work to do as well.
00:20:13.600 So since the 2020 election, I've signed legislation making ballot harvesting a felony.
00:20:19.480 We've eliminated drop boxes in the state of Florida.
00:20:41.020 We've strengthened voter ID requirements and maybe most importantly, we have banned Zuckerbucks in the state of Florida.
00:20:52.400 We're not going to let hundreds of millions of dollars from big tech oligarchs be used to commandeer the machinery of our elections.
00:21:06.960 It is corrupt as hell and it is wrong and it is now illegal in the state of Florida.
00:21:11.460 And as important as those reforms were, they don't amount to much unless you actually enforce the law.
00:21:23.300 And so this past legislative session I signed and it became live on just July 1st, we established the first of its kind election integrity unit in state government whose job is to prosecute voter fraud.
00:21:36.780 Just yesterday, we were able to announce our first 20 prosecutions across the state six weeks after the office started and we're going to continue to do it.
00:21:54.040 If you're voting illegally, we're going to hold you accountable.
00:21:57.500 If you're double voting, we're going to hold you accountable.
00:22:01.500 If you're ballot harvesting, we are going to hold you accountable.
00:22:06.780 And you guys can have all that happen here in Pennsylvania if you elect Doug to the governorship, you can do it.
00:22:24.680 So we're proud of what we've done on election integrity, but I'll tell you, there's maybe no issue that we've led more strongly on
00:22:34.200 and drawing a big fat line in the sand to say that the people of Florida believe that the purpose of our school system should be to educate our kids, not to indoctrinate our kids.
00:22:45.620 And to that end, we've done things like ban critical race theory in our K through 12 schools.
00:22:58.140 We're not going to teach kids to hate our country or to hate each other.
00:23:01.880 We're going to teach real history.
00:23:03.760 We're going to teach them the truth.
00:23:05.180 We're not going to let them impose their ideological agenda on our youth.
00:23:09.980 We've also established a big initiative to promote American civics in our schools.
00:23:15.800 We have a responsibility to make sure that the students that come out of our school system understand what it means to be an American.
00:23:25.520 They need to understand that our rights come from God, not from the government.
00:23:30.860 They need to understand about our Constitution.
00:23:46.380 They need to be understand about the principles that make us unique.
00:23:50.320 They need to be understand why people have fought and died to protect our freedom and our way of life.
00:23:55.720 And so not only do we do that, but we also show now, what's the other side of freedom?
00:24:02.280 What does that look like?
00:24:03.360 And so I've signed legislation in Florida establishing November 7th as a day to learn and remember about victims of communism
00:24:12.200 and the 100 million people who were killed by communist regimes in the 20th century alone.
00:24:19.460 Every school kid will get instruction in understanding the horrors of communism.
00:24:25.260 Because, I mean, you know, we win the Cold War and people think it's gone, but you see it all around in different pockets and, you know, it just won't go away.
00:24:32.700 So we need to be honest about what that means and how that has destroyed so many societies over the last 120 years.
00:24:40.440 And so we are being honest about that and our kids are better off for it.
00:24:44.240 We also believe that parents have a right to send their kids to elementary school without having woke gender ideology shoved down their throat.
00:24:57.960 We have proven that we need to be prepared.

00:27:41.820 A company catering to parents with young children that they wanted to basically go on offense against the policy of the state of Florida.

00:27:51.200 I think some of these woke corporations are not doing best by their shareholders and all that.

00:27:57.600 But some people want to do it fine.
00:27:59.920 But you don't have a right to force me or my citizens to subsidize your woke activism.
00:28:05.120 And the fact of the matter is Disney, since the 1960s, had gotten more subsidies from Florida than any company in the history of our state.
00:28:18.840 And maybe in the history of our country, when you think about what they've had, they've had their own government since the 1960s that they control.
00:28:26.560 They've been exempt from laws, and they've gotten massive tax breaks.
00:28:30.580 So we said, no, you're free to indulge in that type of views and ideology.
00:28:36.060 But that's not consistent with our values in the state of Florida.
00:28:39.320 So we took action.
00:28:40.560 And now, because of what we did, Disney's not going to have its own government anymore.
00:28:45.260 They're going to live under the same laws as everybody else.
00:28:48.460 And they will pay their fair share of taxes in the state of Florida.
00:28:59.700 But it raises this issue of why are they trying to inject this gender ideology into all these institutions?
00:29:08.760 You know, last year, I signed legislation protecting women's sports in the state of Florida.
00:29:14.280 You'll have people.
00:29:15.600 You see the swimmer from Penn, three years on the men's team, and then wins the women's championship?
00:29:25.580 It's totally unfair.
00:29:27.960 It's not based in science.
00:29:30.060 It's based in ideology.
00:29:31.540 So we made sure that in Florida, that women's sports had integrity and fairness,
00:29:38.020 and that we were standing by opportunities for our girls and our women athletes.
00:29:42.780 And that should be true all over the country.
00:29:45.600 And we've also been forced to stand up.
00:29:53.480 And I think this is really disturbing that this is going on.
00:29:56.400 But in Florida, we've taken on what they're calling, and this is a big euphemism,
00:30:02.240 gender-affirming care for minors.
00:30:05.920 Now, this is not counseling or things like that.
00:30:09.000 This is things like giving people that are 12, 13, 14 puberty blockers.
00:30:14.840 It's giving people surgeries where you're chopping off private parts.
00:30:19.880 That is wrong.
00:30:21.720 That is not based on anything but ideology.
00:30:25.720 And in the state of Florida, we have put a stop to it.
00:30:29.400 We're not going to let them disfigure these kids.
00:30:35.240 And these doctors that have done this should be able to be sued for any damage that they cause young people.
00:30:42.120 These are impressionable kids.
00:30:43.720 This is not the right thing to do.
00:30:45.320 And it's sad that we have to do it, but nevertheless, I think the reason why you see all this stuff is because this woke ideology is a really destructive mind virus.
00:30:56.600 And what it's done is it is infecting different institutions in our society, you know, the medical establishment.
00:31:04.260 That's why they're doing these sex changes on the minors, or they want to do it.
00:31:08.440 You see it in education.
00:31:09.840 You see it in these different things.
00:31:11.280 It's a very oppressive ideology.
00:31:13.380 It's totally divorced from reality.
00:31:15.980 And I think in Florida, and we need this to be true in Pennsylvania, around the country, we can't just stand idly by while woke ideology ravages every institution in our society.
00:31:32.300 We must fight the woke in our schools.
00:31:35.420 We must fight the woke in our businesses.
00:31:38.220 We must fight the woke in government agencies.
00:31:41.020 We can never, ever surrender to woke ideology.
00:31:45.800 And I'll tell you this, the state of Florida is where woke goes to die.
00:31:52.280 Now, states like Florida have really been the vanguard of protecting people from the poor policies of the Biden administration.
00:32:16.940 And I think if you have a governor here working with your legislature, that'll be some of the best protection you can have, to have somebody like Doug Mastriano fighting back for you.
00:32:31.220 And if you think about Biden, honestly, it's sad when you're watching some of this stuff.
00:32:39.560 I mean, I just think back to some of the other presidents we have.
00:32:44.180 You know, think about like John Kennedy.
00:32:46.080 You think, ask not what your country can do for you.
00:32:48.700 Ask what you can do for your country.
00:32:50.600 You think about President Reagan.

00:32:55.940 When I think of Biden, I think of him staring like a deer in the headlights at the teleprompter.

00:33:13.000 He doesn't have the aptitude to lead.
