00:12:23.460 and what their argument is about, is the mainstream Protestant,

00:12:39.060 or in the last 25 years, but particularly accelerated over the last couple of years since the COVID,

00:12:58.420 the thing that they are most concerned about, most panicked about,
00:13:03.360 is this concept called Christian nationalism.

00:13:14.500 the active Christians in this country.

00:13:25.020 Christians that maybe are not, don't go to a mainstream Protestant church.

00:13:31.220 but they're associated with maybe some other group that worships in some different way.
00:13:36.140 They are absolutely petrified because they understand that the center of gravity
00:13:40.080 and the balance of political power in this nation can come if all the Christians come to the public square
00:13:48.060 and in the public square raise their voices and vote.

00:13:56.160 This is why they're equating the Christian faith,
00:13:59.060 they live Christianity with domestic terrorism,

00:18:48.740 When the story time with the teachers are reading LGBTQ books that parents have, and the Moms for Liberty and other groups have designated as kind of grooming,

00:19:53.380 So what he's doing now is he's trying to put gender identity in the law through the courts, through his appointees.
00:19:59.960 You put gender identity into civil rights law, Steve, and you can't get these gender identity and LGBTQ books out of school classrooms any more than you can get books about Martin Luther King Jr., right?

00:20:45.160 In a public school, you know, we rank towards the bottom or the middle to the bottom of all the nations, all the industrial nations on earth, on reading comprehension.

00:20:58.880 We're to the bottom of – we're to the bottom of – and this is what the STEM programs are in there, where they've dumped art and history and everything.

00:21:15.800 What does this have to do with reading, writing, and arithmetic?
00:21:21.700 What does this have – when you say programming, how is this concept of even programming of this – like I assume there's not programming of the fundamentals of Christianity or Judaism or anything that's the foundational elements of our country they've taken out of the school.

00:21:38.660 Well, Steve, ever since we founded the Department of Education, the purpose of education shifted from teaching children how to do math, how to read, how to write, and how to understand and get involved in science.
00:21:52.680 It shifted from all of that and shifted to programming people and social engagement and social awareness.
00:22:01.240 It turned less about teaching kids how to think, how to be educated, informing them, and instead how to shape them to be good little soldiers, good little cogs in this machine.
00:22:15.140 It's on full bore right now because you have had decades of Republicans failing to fight, failing to even really investigate.

00:22:24.000 It's not just happening through the courts.

00:22:29.900 So when you're a public school and you take money from the federal government, there are strings attached to that.

00:22:37.260 And that was part of why on day one Joe Biden signed those executive orders into place that would even tie up school lunch program money for poor kids to this stuff.

00:22:50.860 This is the fight we're going to have on the – but we've got to stop the lying and we've got to stop the spinning and we've got to stop just pointing at the Democrats all the time.

00:23:21.040 But programmatically, you can specifically go in and gut all this.
