00:11:23.260 for the month of september going through that jobs report uh the unemployment rate went down to 4.1

00:11:28.880 but the reason it went down instead of going up was that when we surveyed american households

00:11:34.120 785 000 more people said that they were now working for the government and so what that essentially did

00:11:42.560 was instead of the unemployment rate rising to 4.5 percent it dropped it to 4.1 percent because all of

00:11:49.560 these people again are now now say that they are uh working for the government so this is not something

00:11:55.560 that's sustainable uh this is not something that's healthy this is not uh indicative of economic growth we

00:12:01.500 need to remember that for every single person who's working for the government who's paid for

00:12:06.340 by taxpayer dollars you need many more people working and paying taxes in order to support that first

00:12:13.320 individual salary so you can debate about what that ratio is whether it's 20 to 1 50 to 1 etc but the

00:12:20.160 fact of the matter is we are adding nowhere near enough private sector jobs in order to support

00:12:25.160 all of the government jobs that we're seeing in this economy today

00:22:25.880 previous guest about um the judeo-christian ethics and principles that we have codified in our law

00:22:33.200 i think it's really important to note that that when these people on the left talk about christian

00:22:38.080 nationalism what they're talking about is really just christians advocating for their values in the

00:22:44.520 public square the same way their secular neighbors do but what's really disturbing is that you have

00:23:01.500 billy graham back in the 1950s they're leading other very well known and influential evangelical

00:23:07.220 publications like the gospel coalition and these organizations are actually counseling christians

00:23:13.320 that what you need to do is give your power away that we should not grasp at political power which

00:23:20.120 is really a pretty silly thing to say because uh the common good of politics is how we show love for

00:23:27.140 our neighbor it's not the only way we show love for our neighbor but it's a significant way

00:23:30.780 and so that's really what i covered in my book is that um you see so many of these average churchgoers

00:23:37.020 who are very understandably on the right as they should be because so many of um not exclusively but

00:23:43.180 so many of the rights policies and platforms align with biblical ethics when it comes to protecting

00:23:51.020 the unborn when it comes to um protecting god's created order of male and female protecting the safety

00:23:57.580 of women and women's spaces so what you have now is this gambit from these evangelical leaders who

00:24:03.080 by the way are taking a lot of money frequently from the left um to say well no what we need to do

00:24:08.860 the way of jesus is to give our power away yeah no i agree with you a hundred percent it's a little
