this is what you're fighting for I mean every day you're out there what they're doing is blowing
00:00:11.360
people off if you continue to look the other way and shut up then the oppressors the
00:00:18.360
authoritarians get total control and total power because this is just like in Arizona this is just
00:00:24.260
like in Georgia it's another element that backs them into a quarter and shows their lies and
00:00:29.020
misrepresentations is why this audience is going to have to get engaged as we've told you this is
00:00:33.300
the fight all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the truth war room battleground here's
00:00:40.340
your host Stephen K Bannon uh welcome to war room battleground I'm Brad Thayer in for Steve Bannon
00:00:49.340
and Steve's orders were next man up and that's what we're doing here and we do every day
00:00:53.440
uh while Steve is away I'm very pleased to be hosting uh today 9-11-2024 on a day that we have
00:01:02.300
and pause and remember the horrific terrorist attacks on 9-11-2001 when 2,977 Americans were killed
00:01:11.320
in attacks uh in New York City of course and then Pennsylvania uh sadly and then lastly of course
00:01:18.400
the attack on the Pentagon uh on that occasion uh so much though to cover today we want to obviously
00:01:26.100
look at 9-11 and reflect on that and but also to look at China and to look at the Middle East
00:01:32.420
really have a great uh strategy session tonight uh to look at all of those issues and I'm very
00:01:39.640
pleased to have if you will something akin to the 1927 New York Yankees murderers row where instead of
00:01:46.920
having Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig uh and Mark Koenig and uh of course uh Earl Combs we've got Sam Faddis
00:01:56.040
long career in the CIA and as a regular on the program Jim Fennell who had a career in the Navy
00:02:03.280
also is a great friend uh of mine and uh regular on the program and of course uh Colonel uh Derek Harvey
00:02:09.900
uh to review some issues and to look at uh what's happening in the Middle East
00:02:14.600
uh where there's never obviously uh any let up in terms of the intensity of the action which is
00:02:20.760
happening there but I'd like to first start with 9-11 uh we have on this day uh the Americans should
00:02:28.380
pause uh to reflect on what happened why it happened and the consequences of what was happening uh as a
00:02:36.080
result of the attack and its aftermath we really have uh the upon reflection of the attack we can
00:02:43.260
identify that this is an attack the left wants to disappear 9-11 many of us will remember years
00:02:51.140
afterwards there was a surfeit of American flags everybody was flying the surge of patriotism of
00:02:57.420
course which echoed around the country uh and was warmly welcomed year after year there were fewer flags
00:03:04.320
flying uh until there were just uh occasionally a few still here in the DC area at least in northern
00:03:11.180
Virginia there are still some American flags on the overpass put in place by America uh the
00:03:16.360
Fairfax firefighter department and police department but it really has attenuated it really has drawn
00:03:22.880
down and that's not by accident so it's an event that the left wants to memory hole and convert into
00:03:29.320
something else a patriot's day or something along uh those lines and in that they're joined by
00:03:35.180
Hollywood right you can think in the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor attack John Ford made December 7th
00:03:41.460
in the immediate wake of that and Franklin Delano Roosevelt said every American should see
00:03:46.240
he wanted every American mother to see December 7th by John Ford his great film
00:03:51.140
to understand what had happened there it's curious that Hollywood hasn't made many films you can count
00:03:58.100
on the fingers of one hand the films that Hollywood's made about 9-11 and that's not an accident you'd
00:04:04.040
think that this is an issue which is rife dramatically it's exactly what they want right the horrific
00:04:09.540
attacks the dramas uh you'd think that the screenwriters of course and actors would would uh uh want to
00:04:16.960
explore those issues but they don't and again that's not by accident right that's an issue of 9-11
00:04:23.420
because of the nature of the attack and who attacked us on that day again they won a memory
00:04:28.640
hole in an Orwellian uh fashion 9-11 is salient though today because of a critical issue and that
00:04:36.840
is it showed how individuals groups states the terrorist attacks of course al-qaeda in that instance
00:04:44.020
exploited the seams in our defenses the seams in our society to conduct such an unconventional attack
00:04:50.860
against the united states uh and um that's something about which we need to be aware today as we move
00:04:57.820
into the election november 5th uh we need to be aware of course that other adversaries whether that's the
00:05:04.500
people's republic of china or other terrorist actors uh or other groups are going to also want to exploit
00:05:11.800
those seams in our societies to bring about an equally dramatic attack uh to impact uh the american voter
00:05:18.940
american society so i'm very pleased to be joined by sam faddis again sam war room regular war room
00:05:26.160
battleground regular and a great fan of uh obviously of uh of uh all of his writings where he writes at
00:05:33.260
and magazine sam you've had a piece up on 9-11 uh would you tell the audience what you're arguing
00:05:40.580
uh and offer any reflections that you have today uh on the 9-11 terrorist attack
00:05:46.740
yeah well i i think the first thing when i when i think about 9-11 now today
00:05:56.720
the first thing that comes to mind i mean in addition to the the horror of the event is
00:06:03.500
as i look at the world around us i feel like i've seen this movie before and what do i mean by that
00:06:12.320
i was at the time of 9-11 i was an undercover cia operations officer and i was working a lot
00:06:20.260
of counterterrorism and i had been working against al-qaeda for some time and myself i don't want to
00:06:28.000
claim i had some sort of unique insight but for those of us who were working that target and there
00:06:34.380
were a number of very brave guys and gals doing so it was crystal clear to us where we were headed
00:06:43.160
i don't mean in the sense of knowing the exact details of the plot obviously but about every five
00:06:49.880
minutes bin laden told us his intentions and he had already blown up two of our embassies
00:06:55.280
and he had already almost sunk the uss coal and there'd been a previous attack on the world trade
00:07:01.700
center and so you could see this uh looming in the future this sense of dread while we refused we as a
00:07:14.620
government refused to do what was necessary so i mean i i recruited sources with access inside al-qaeda
00:07:24.700
that i was forced to terminate because they were technically citizens of friendly countries and
00:07:31.840
that was more important to us than acquiring intelligence other officers proposed ops going
00:07:37.820
back as far as when bin laden was in sudan to go in on the ground and destroy his operations
00:07:43.920
permission denied a guy who ultimately became my deputy in iraq put together a very detailed specific
00:07:51.480
plan to go in to tarnak farms when bin laden was there and uh and end the threat then permission
00:08:00.860
denied and so now once again we're looking at afghanistan as a safe haven al-qaeda completely
00:08:10.380
reconstituted completely embedded with the taliban growing in strength with all the same
00:08:16.820
intentions they had then and uh not only are we not doing anything about it we're actually probably
00:08:23.880
we're we're in a worse posture because now we have dismantled our borders and made it impossible to
00:08:31.900
control at all who's coming in and and the other thing i would just throw out at this juncture is
00:08:37.360
9 11 was never conceived by al-qaeda
00:08:41.480
to be the end of anything nor was it conceived to be the worst attack they would launch they were
00:08:51.240
they tried on they had very advanced weapons of mass destruction programs and some of the details of
00:08:58.560
that still can't be discussed because it's classified but i mean nuclear chemical and biological
00:09:03.200
and their intention was to kill a lot more people than 3 000 in an attack and it it's not that they
00:09:11.680
just didn't get around to it they were stopped over and over and over so we're not just looking at a
00:09:19.140
repetition of 9 11 we're looking at something even more horrifying than 9 11 and right now
00:09:27.600
we're not doing anything to stop it sam i think that's a very important point and uh you obviously
00:09:38.180
have spent a career in the intelligence community um the 9 11 commission report right to reform the u.s
00:09:45.700
intelligence community so that this could never happen i mean would you offer your reflections really
00:09:50.520
on what those reforms did and whether they left us in a better place or a much much worse place
00:09:56.080
yeah they left us in a worse worse place i mean first of all the central conclusion of the 9 11
00:10:04.840
commission with all due respect to the to the men who worked on was that the problem was a lack of
00:10:10.980
communication amongst agencies i'm not suggesting that communication was perfect that was not the
00:10:16.500
central problem the central problem was we were not collecting the intelligence we needed we weren't
00:10:21.840
running the sources we needed and we weren't being nearly aggressive enough in going after some guys
00:10:27.600
who fully intended to kill us in large numbers so what did we do post 9 11 we created the department
00:10:34.320
the director of national intelligence an entire additional layer of bureaucracy to sit on top of the
00:10:41.320
existing agencies you know more people in office buildings in dc in front of flat screen computer
00:10:48.340
monitors moving message traffic doesn't do anything in terms of collection or going after the enemy
00:10:56.840
so and and now we of course have layered on top of that politicization and you know we're obsessed
00:11:03.260
with diversity equity and inclusion and running i mean i i tell you right now if anytime you look at
00:11:10.300
an assessment on afghanistan and al-qaeda from the intelligence community um you know the first question
00:11:17.480
would be what's the source of your information and i can guarantee you that there are virtually no
00:11:24.080
sources for that information so you're you're effectively looking at speculation as to what is
00:11:29.120
happening yeah wonderful sam sam if you'll stay with us uh next up is is my friend and frequent writing
00:11:38.340
partner uh jim finnell and i do uh a weekly column at american greatness and we've published a book
00:11:44.300
together uh embracing communist china america's greatest strategic failure uh so u.s navy captain
00:11:51.480
james finnell is uh served as a career navy intelligence officer uh he's had uh very senior
00:11:58.340
positions with the seventh fleet with u.s uh with uh jtf-70 and he retired with the from the navy in
00:12:06.020
2015 and is currently a government fellow at the geneva center for security policy appropriately enough in
00:12:12.840
geneva switzerland where he's forced to eat chocolate and a lot of fondue right jim um it's a great honor to
00:12:19.540
have you today jim i'd like to ask you uh to reflect uh and to evaluate and offer your keen assessment on what
00:12:27.400
the people's republic of china is doing now uh against uh the philippines uh this hyper-aggressive
00:12:34.520
state uh has been uh ramming vessels at sabina shoal and sabina shoal is a is about 75 nautical
00:12:41.680
miles from palawan it's in the philippines exclusive economic zone uh but it's what the people's
00:12:49.300
republic it's within what the people's republic of china calls illegally uh has been has been
00:12:56.020
noted of course by the international uh essentially permanent court of arbitration
00:13:00.900
within what the prc calls it's uh essentially the uh uh it's a nine dash line or now 10 dash line
00:13:09.180
i'm waiting for the 11 dash line i'm fearful about what that's going to entail jim what's happening
00:13:14.780
uh in the south china sea well brad good evening and uh it's a it's a you know obviously a somber day
00:13:23.880
to remember what happened on 9 11 and i just want to echo uh the assessments that uh sam made regarding
00:13:31.620
the the kind of the assessment we took from 9 11 and this idea that we weren't working together in
00:13:38.320
the ic which is partially true but the real issue is we created bureaucracies and we didn't get down
00:13:44.720
to basics and so we are missing key intelligence indications and warning signals obviously in the in
00:13:51.960
in the arena that sam talked about but also in the pacific as you just mentioned so over the last
00:13:57.620
four or five months uh china has been really ramping up its campaign of intimidation against the republic
00:14:03.940
of the philippines which is our mutual defense treaty ally and uh going back to june 17th of june
00:14:11.160
the chinese started harassing or ramping up their harassing tactics into actual violence and so there
00:14:17.760
were collisions and violent acts uh initiated by the chinese coast guard and their other forces there
00:14:24.480
against the filipinos who were trying to resupply a grounded uh ship a world war ii ship that they
00:14:31.000
grounded over 25 years ago at second thomas shoal and filipino uh sailor lost a thumb and now for the
00:14:38.740
third time in two weeks at sabina shoal as you referenced which is about 30 kilometers 18 miles away
00:14:45.940
from second thomas shoal uh the chinese coast guard has now rammed a filipino coast guard ship that's
00:14:53.900
been at anchor there and uh they've done it three times now and these are these are direct provoc
00:14:59.780
provocations or acts of war if you will against our treaty ally and that they're intense upon this is
00:15:06.680
as i said the third time in two weeks uh and again the china the filipino vessel is sitting at anchor yet
00:15:13.740
the chinese in their press says that the filipino ship rammed the chinese ship so this is really uh
00:15:20.100
obvious an obvious lie but this is the kind of propaganda that the chinese communist party puts
00:15:25.980
out and so we're seeing a an intensification of china's uh campaign to take total control of the south
00:15:34.240
china sea uh and they have essentially done that over the last decade uh building seven islands in the
00:15:41.640
south china sea and the spratleys that they've turned into military bases three of which are the
00:15:46.040
size of pearl harbor three have 10 000 foot runways and are large enough to put their aircraft carriers
00:15:52.660
and other warships that are constantly working there along with their coast guard and maritime militia
00:15:58.600
so the chinese now have not only de facto claimed uh they've ignored the the rule of law and the
00:16:06.740
permanent court of arbitration's ruling in 2016 that said they had no claim to this but now they are
00:16:12.100
physically taking possession and they're ramping it up against the republic of the philippines
00:16:16.760
because they don't like the president marcos who has come back into the orbit of the united states and
00:16:24.520
for security uh issues and so china is trying to essentially break the philippines and they know that
00:16:31.780
if they break the philippines it will send a shockwave through the pacific that america is no longer
00:16:37.940
uh somebody that has to be dealt with in the pacific and that puts at risk america's trade
00:16:44.260
in the pacific and five to seven trillion dollars a year of goods and services transit through these
00:16:50.660
waters of the south china sea and those are things that affect the lives of americans whether it's things
00:16:57.380
that you buy and need or whether it's the price of the things that you need or or the the companies
00:17:03.300
that we have that make things in america or it just it will it'll have a devastating impact on america
00:17:09.540
if they shut that down and that's what they're threatening to do and they're picking on the republic
00:17:14.900
of the philippines to make it an example and it also gives them a strategic advantage to the underbelly of
00:17:21.220
taiwan the southern approaches to taiwan so there's a lot of reasons why uh china is doing this uh and
00:17:27.860
i'm not sure how much time we have but there's some other things that china's doing right now
00:17:32.260
that we can talk about maybe in the next segment but china right now is on a campaign to break the
00:17:37.540
philippines to split them off from the united states to demonstrate america's weakness and that does
00:17:43.220
have a direct impact on america and they're trying to also spread and uh put more pressure on the
00:17:51.540
already uh critically underfunded and under-resourced united states navy and the u.s pacific fleet
00:17:59.700
and this is really a dangerous time
00:18:05.140
they are indeed and it's uh again there's never a dull moment uh with this hyper aggressive state led
00:18:11.140
by xi jinping uh very dangerous situation uh next up in our murderer's row batting order uh is
00:18:18.900
a u.s army retired colonel derrick harvey again a great friend of the program of war room uh and of
00:18:25.620
the uh admiral steve bannon and uh who's had a long career of course in intelligence and worked on
00:18:31.860
the hill of course and the national security council uh colonel harvey welcome uh i'd ask you to uh
00:18:38.660
first uh offer any reflections you have on on the somber day 9-11 uh and then i'd like to ask you
00:18:45.860
about uh what's going on of course with israel uh and uh the defense minister gallant uh saying they're
00:18:53.140
wrapping things up in gaza before moving north uh to deal with hezbollah so uh colonel harvey uh please
00:19:00.580
any any reflections you have on 9-11 yes well thank you so much for having me and i'd like to pivot off of
00:19:07.860
what sam talked about and you know one of the challenges we had you know before 9-11 and since
00:19:15.940
then and we continue to have it was the biden harris administration is leadership both in the military
00:19:22.340
and the civilian side of of the department of defense and the intelligence community and for the
00:19:27.540
most part multiple administrations you know before and after president trump's administration
00:19:32.900
and that is you know a lack of an of an ability to fully grasp and understand the nature of war
00:19:40.820
and when you engage in war or you're in a conflict with a group like osama bin laden
00:19:47.300
or hamas for that matter a great many of those individuals that you're dealing with
00:19:52.260
are not ones that you can negotiate with they're ones that you have to kill or capture
00:19:58.740
um they're not amenable they're not you know reconcilable um they have you know ideological goals
00:20:07.060
that you know are beyond the ability of of us and others to give into because they will just come back
00:20:13.300
with more demands um an inability to understand the nature scope goals motivations of of these threat
00:20:21.780
groups but also you know not just these threat groups like osama bin laden and al-qaeda but you know hamas
00:20:29.060
and palestinian islamic jihad or even you know the theocracy in iran today um there's too much mere imaging
00:20:37.860
a a desire to not really believe you know your eyes about you know what you're actually seeing
00:20:44.820
you know the actions you know speak very loud um sinwar in in in gaza is you know just playing this
00:20:54.900
out the iranians are playing out this struggle that's been going on almost a year now uh coming
00:21:00.660
up on it october 7th um they want to extend this and they believe that if they just continue to fight
00:21:08.180
and not give in the biden harris administration will continue to do what they have done which is
00:21:14.260
has put more pressure on prime minister biden i'm excuse me prime minister notanyahu and the unity
00:21:20.580
government and also you know just you know give more aid and support you know by doing so to hamas
00:21:29.860
and palestinian islamic jihad and the iranians the theocracy is counting you know in iran the
00:21:36.820
theocracy there is counting on the biden harris administration restraining
00:21:41.780
the idf and prime minister notanyahu so you know an inability to understand the human nature what
00:21:50.740
war is really about um what radical islamic terrorism is about and what their goals are
00:21:58.180
and how the enemy sees victory you know we just don't want to accept that or recognize it so coming
00:22:04.420
out of 9 11 we entered into two very long-term wars brad you know afghanistan and iraq where we never had
00:22:12.580
any intention of winning no intention at all so i'll pause there and maybe you have a question on it
00:22:21.540
i do derek and and thanks we have about two minutes left i i wonder those are very important
00:22:26.900
reflections in terms of the the consequences of 9 11 for uh for us uh and really our misguided
00:22:35.220
statesmanship uh during that uh period uh but derek if we just pivot uh briefly and we'll have you of
00:22:42.900
course after after the break uh what's going on in israel with galant's uh argument for pivoting now
00:22:50.100
uh that uh israel is going to be or is wrapping up uh uh the gaza operation and is now moving against
00:22:57.860
uh uh hezbollah what do you make of his remarks yesterday well i think it's an important signal um
00:23:04.580
surely the conflict in in gaza is not done they've had to conduct a couple of strikes surgical strikes
00:23:11.780
one in a refugee camp was that you know took out three commanders and another one i think overnight
00:23:18.100
uh that took out some commanders in gaza in a separate strike at a school this is going to go
00:23:24.100
on because that's the nature of insurgency and you're going to need to have you know a continued
00:23:29.220
presence there along with intelligence driven operations that are going to you know try and keep
00:23:34.980
hamas and the others off guard and you know unable to strike israel with you know long-range missiles
00:23:43.460
and drones and things that said um they've been trying to reposition and posture themselves
00:23:50.260
in order to be able to be uh fully capable of taking on the threat from hezbollah and iran
00:23:56.100
in the north and they're just about there it has not been an easy task for the idf uh and that's
00:24:02.580
going to be quite a challenge it is indeed and and uh i think you're right that it's uh really the
00:24:11.300

00:29:32.180
coming to our money in our bank accounts first think back to 9-11 shortly after the government
00:29:37.940
pushed through the patriot act this gave the government power to spy on innocent americans
00:29:42.980
by monitoring our phone and email and tracking our movement across the internet now jim rickards editor of
00:29:49.780
the independent financial newsletter strategic intelligence and new york times best-selling author
00:29:55.220
is warning about a coming event that could elevate this governmental surveillance to a terrifying new
00:30:00.740
level in fact some of the guests i've had on the war room believe that the government will soon
00:30:05.620
expand their powers to track our every move if we say the wrong things on social media donate to the
00:30:12.260
wrong causes buy firearms or even vote maga the government may be able to shut us out of our bank accounts
00:30:19.780
i can't say for sure if this will happen but it's an interesting and dire warning fortunately jim
00:30:25.940
rickards an american patriot and friend of mine has made it his mission to educate us on what he
00:30:31.140
believes is coming and how to protect yourself from the possibility of programmable money watch jim's
00:30:38.660
warning video now before it's censored like i've been in the past go to rickardswarroom.com that's
00:30:45.620
rickardswarroom.com now to see the video all this nonsense all this spin they can't handle the truth
00:30:54.020
war room battleground with stephen k bannon
00:30:57.220
well welcome back to war room battleground i'm brad thayer sitting in as the next man up receive
00:31:04.900
bannon uh and i'm very pleased to have as i've said our 1927 new york yankees murderers row in terms of
00:31:12.180
the batting order with sam faddis and james finnell and colonel derrick harvey all three heavy hitters
00:31:20.580
that are guaranteed to knock it back out of the park in terms of their strategic insights
00:31:25.460
on the critical issues that we're talking about today 9 11 2024 but of course we remember the horrific
00:31:33.700
events of 9 11 2001 and it gives us pause to think about what we did correctly as well as the mistakes
00:31:42.900
that we made in our terms of our statesmanship and in other uh policies uh colonel harvey before the
00:31:49.780
break we were touching on the middle east and i wanted to uh ask you to uh offer your comments your
00:31:56.260
reflections on a very interesting development is as you know that there have been reports of iran
00:32:02.660
sending ballistic missiles to russia that the iranian foreign minister has vociferously uh denied
00:32:09.780
tehran and moscow of course have a very close relationship uh work hand in glove on so many
00:32:15.540
issues uh colonel harvey can you tell us or offer your reflections on on what's happening there
00:32:22.580
well the relationship between moscow and tehran has grown immeasurably since the ukraine war began and
00:32:30.900
you know russia was always in a supportive role diplomatically and you know economically you
00:32:38.020
know related to iran um so it's an interesting development the intelligence that might be showing
00:32:46.260
that is really not you know out here in the in the media for us to you know make any any solid judgment
00:32:53.620
about uh the degree or scope of you know military support as far as new ballistic missiles uh quantity
00:33:03.220
or quality that may have been shipped there um you know i think it's it's an open question i think tehran
00:33:10.260
has some you know near term fighting issues that it's going to have with israel i would be surprised if
00:33:17.300
they're going to ship a lot there um because they have uh competing demands
00:33:25.220
indeed they do uh and uh the uh uh attention with it with israel is only worsening and as
00:33:31.780
israel pivots to the north hezbollah uh tehran's ally obviously uh proxy in so many respects that's likely
00:33:39.220
to worsen uh captain finnell uh i'd like to uh return to you on on the issue of uh what's happening in the
00:33:46.820
south china sea and elsewhere uh admiral uh paparo who's the commander of indo-pacific command so
00:33:55.380
obviously a very senior figure uh had a video tell essentially a vtc with um the head of a pla general
00:34:04.180
people's liberation army general uh in terms of their southern command right so a major figure
00:34:09.780
uh to address the issue of of conflict or tensions in the south china sea uh jim can you give us your
00:34:17.300
reflections on the value of that call uh and what it entailed yes uh brad uh in the last uh 20 48 hours
00:34:28.020
admiral paparo the commander of the u.s indo-pacific command has conducted the first uh commander's call
00:34:35.300
with his counterpart in the southern theater command so it's not really a counterpart to my mind
00:34:40.260
but that's how they're classifying it uh with general wu and in that conversation admiral paparo
00:34:46.580
did advise the chinese that he wished they would back off their provocative actions in the south china
00:34:52.500
sea but the chinese have characterized the call and most of the press has characterized the call as
00:34:58.340
admiral paparo calling for the necessity of having these talks to reduce the risk of miscalculation
00:35:05.220
between the united states and china unfortunately uh the risks continue to rise and one area that's
00:35:12.980
rising is with china and russia and over the last 48 hours both the russian and chinese ministries of
00:35:19.220
defense have announced uh that there would be a major uh naval exercise the largest in 30 years since i was
00:35:27.380
a young officer almost uh called ocean 2024 or ocean 2024 and this one will have uh some 400 warships
00:35:38.100
submarines and auxiliary craft and 120 uh warplanes that will be operating from the arctic uh out in the
00:35:47.220
you know up in the uh north of norway in the baltic in the mediterranean in the caspian sea and in the
00:35:54.100
and in the pacific and the chinese concurrently announced that they were going to be conducting
00:35:59.780
exercises in the sea of japan and the sea of okhotsk the sea of okhotsk is that major water space between
00:36:06.260
vladivostok and the kamchatka peninsula that basically fronts alaska and in that water space
00:36:13.460
during the cold war with the soviet union is where the soviets would send their ballistic missile
00:36:18.100
submarines so we don't know what uh units the chinese will send in terms of submarines there's
00:36:23.860
already five ships that have headed in through the tsushima strait into the sea of japan intelligence
00:36:29.460
collection ship cruiser destroyer frigate and resupply ship but it's very possible that the
00:36:34.420
chinese will be sending submarines and even ballistic missile submarines to operate in the bastion of the
00:36:39.700
sea of okhotsk which would allow chinese ssbn's or ballistic missile submarines to fire
00:36:45.540
intercontinental ballistic missiles at the continental united states with advanced warning of less than 35
00:36:51.860
minutes like we had during the soviet uh period and like we have today with the russians so this is
00:36:57.140
a major exercise and it reconfirms the alliance between china and russia so while we are asking china
00:37:06.340
to have calls with us china continues to threaten war in the south china sea with the republic of the
00:37:12.260
philippines and they're ramping up their physical kinetic ramming activities which i i i wouldn't
00:37:18.660
have thought it but after this week i am very concerned that china may start some kind of military
00:37:24.260
conflict in the south china sea before five november major exercise with the russians and there's reports
00:37:31.860
today that indian pla not indian but chinese army troops are 60 kilometers or 40 miles into arushinal
00:37:42.420
pradesh which is northeastern india southern tibet as the chinese call it uh and we don't know all the
00:37:48.980
details of that yet but every year since 2020 where the chinese killed 20 indian soldiers uh along the line
00:37:56.180
of control in the galwan valley we now see china acting again so china and russia are working to spread
00:38:03.780
and crush america's defense department and we just had an aircraft carrier leave uh the the middle east
00:38:11.700
after a long long deployment well over the the typical six month deployment period more closer to 12.
00:38:18.900
and and and what did they do they did not stop the houthi rebels from shutting down
00:38:25.700
uh global traffic through the red sea and the suez canal and so we we are being stressed as the we
00:38:32.740
had for the since world war ii america guaranteed global shipping around the world we were the the
00:38:38.580
beat cop for the world to allow the global economy to work and now it's being threatened and if this is
00:38:44.980
shut down and china is able to take this over they will control who gets to buy and sell they will can
00:38:50.900
control uh how you're threatened from their ballistic missiles and so it's a very very dangerous time
00:38:56.420
and it reminds me of 9 11 i remember 9 11 when i was in hawaii at the time and i remember seeing reports
00:39:02.740
like sam even though i was nothing to do with that but there were reports about this guy osama bin laden
00:39:08.260
and we were told hey this guy's something to be concerned about and nobody did anything well now we're
00:39:14.020
in a similar situation right we have lots of reporting about china and people are not doing
00:39:19.460
anything except saying let's have talks because that will reduce the risk of miscalculation very
00:39:24.660
naive very dangerous absolutely it is it's a it's a hyper aggressive state as we've stressed uh and uh
00:39:33.060
it's uh we certainly can be on the cusp of a conflict between the philippines uh and china which
00:39:40.100
would involve the united states because the philippines is a treaty ally of the united states
00:39:45.060
or partner like taiwan or uh directly with the united states so the audience needs to understand the
00:39:52.500
the uh china is a very dangerous state like cops investigating a car crash right they look at the
00:39:58.100
driver if the driver is okay they look at the car and if the car is okay they look at the road
00:40:02.420
conditions when we look at the people's republic of china we look at the driver we see that xi jinping
00:40:08.580
is a driver is a driver and he's horrific he's like a 14 year old behind the wheel
00:40:13.540
who's hyper aggressive incredibly risk accepting and doesn't understand the consequences of his
00:40:19.540
actions secondly the car the car is a soviet knockoff the chinese communist party it's a threat
00:40:26.660
to every other vehicle on the road as well as every other pedestrian uh on the road it's a very
00:40:32.500
dangerous ideology that they possess and it feeds the aggression that xi jinping is driving and then
00:40:39.220
lastly the road conditions right that this is a country which has grown in power very quickly that
00:40:46.100
power has clearly gone to its head and they have many issues that they want to resolve uh through the
00:40:53.860
coercion applications or threats of force and perhaps even conflict taiwan is
00:40:59.860
there but it's also the south china sea but fundamentally it's the united states because
00:41:04.660
the united states is the only power that can check them and keep them from their global ambitions
00:41:10.100
achieving their global ambitions very dangerous situation we got a crazy driver very dangerous car
00:41:17.540
and horrible road conditions it's a recipe for great trouble and that trouble can come now can come
00:41:22.900
today certainly before november 5th uh and as jim finnell is stressed it's looking like things are getting
00:41:29.540
much worse very quickly sam faddis next up in the batting order you're going to knock it out of the
00:41:35.620
park of course uh because you are on murderer's row sir i'd ask you to offer your reflections really on what
00:41:43.140
we've seen uh what uh the uh uh events that have been happening uh with uh 9-11 the reflections that we've had
00:41:51.860
with 9-11 today uh the ceremony that we had uh in new york but sam most importantly if you could give
00:41:59.540
us your assessment of trouble that we're likely to have between now and november 5th uh and its aftermath
00:42:08.820
yeah well i feel like maybe the central issue here for people to absorb is when we talk about all of the
00:42:17.460
threats we've been talking about today and and more um we end up a lot of times saying something to the
00:42:26.020
effect of if we're not careful one of these days something really bad is going to happen eventually
00:42:34.820
one day something really bad is going to happen right and even in intelligence work you can fall into this
00:42:43.540
this trap of assessing that there's a threat out there and it's not getting better it's growing
00:42:52.740
but still it seems that it that the horizon is continuously receding so we're worried but what
00:43:01.780
we've failed to accept is the immediacy that it's no longer one day or someday and i think when you look
00:43:10.980
at everything we've talked about here today and and and other things that's the essence for me the iranian
00:43:18.900
nuclear program which we haven't touched on is one of those every assessment that we see is always
00:43:26.180
announcing that they're almost there we we i mean let's just be blunt we don't know that they weren't
00:43:35.380
there some time ago you don't know that you're not going to just turn around tomorrow and discover that
00:43:40.660
in this confrontation they have a dozen functional nuclear weapons mated to delivery systems so it
00:43:48.020
is the immediacy of this that as jim's been talking about uh we could be looking at a shooting war in
00:43:56.180
the philippines today that the chinese could blockade taiwan tomorrow uh at that we could have terrorist
00:44:05.140
attacks by al qaeda on u.s soil any day there's nothing to stop them that that to me is is the
00:44:13.940
the central issue we need to grab a hold of this this administration has been the most disastrous
00:44:19.300
from a national security perspective in american history and the scope of the damage they've done
00:44:24.260
i think is breathtaking certainly an open border for years sam as you well know and have stressed many
00:44:32.740
times uh not knowing who's coming over that border uh certainly folks who don't wish the united states
00:44:39.460
well or the american people uh well but to wish to do us great harm and then the disaster of the biden
00:44:45.940
administration which has got the midas touch in reverse everything that they touch just turns to
00:44:51.540
a nightmare for them whether that's afghanistan or whether that was going back into the who or
00:44:57.620
uh essentially paris climate accords or their actions uh that they've taken uh for example pledging
00:45:06.180
at uh bali in 2022 that they were going not they were they pledged to xi jinping himself that they
00:45:13.300
weren't going to work to overthrow him which they've stressed time and time again so this uh administration
00:45:19.620
is well past its sell-by date uh and will be um i think um uh perhaps little remembered and and uh
00:45:28.580
certainly um uh well forgotten but the damage that they've done and the damage that they're going to
00:45:34.340
continue to do remains with us and we're going to have to deal with those consequences between now
00:45:39.620
november 5th and then after november 5th into a new administration and if trump is returned uh to
00:45:46.420
office then there's prodigious work the auction stables have got to be cleared uh in every respect
00:45:53.380
what biden gave trump if trump does come back into office is so much on his plate uh and a mess in
00:46:01.860
almost every area as colonel harvey is stressed in the middle east and jim finnell is stressed and
00:46:07.300
obviously in the indo-pacific area and sam fattis has stressed every other area including the homeland
00:46:14.180
dealing with terrorists and the threats that we face uh it's a very dire situation that we face
00:46:20.260
i'm going to have to address but there's so much to address i'm very pleased we had such a illustrious
00:46:26.740
audience again our murderers row uh uh today one final announcement i'd like to make is that um
00:46:34.580
paul berkowitz who's a colleague of ours of many of ours on the committee on present danger china
00:46:39.780
has been pressing the idea of uh releasing uh presser in congress to pressure the intelligence
00:46:48.580
community uh which is charged which is tasked with generating a report on the wealth of the
00:46:55.060
leadership of the chinese communist party their senior leadership from xi jinping on down
00:47:00.500
their family members uh and others and these folks have money squirreled away everywhere from switzerland
00:47:06.660
to london to hong kong new york and who knows where else but congress ordered the intelligence
00:47:13.380
community to produce an open source report essentially so available to the public the
00:47:19.700
intelligence community has not done it so it's important to call your representatives call your
00:47:25.220
senators and pressure them to get that report released because that's a very important issue we've
00:47:32.020
been talking a lot about being on the back foot what the chinese communist party is doing to us
00:47:37.940
in terms of its support for iran support for russia its actions in the indo-pacific but it's time to
00:47:44.980
take the fight to them and to show this group of thugs to be that odious and contemptible and illegitimate
00:47:52.100
group that they are these are communists who are billionaires and that's a little bit cameron like
00:47:57.380
being a married bachelor right you can't be one uh just doesn't work together if you're a communist
00:48:03.300
you can't be a billionaire it's time to find their wealth to show to the chinese people what they've
00:48:08.900
stolen from the chinese people uh so that they can understand in just one more and very poignant
00:48:17.060
and cutting way uh that they're ruled by an illegitimate group of thugs uh that need to be
00:48:22.820
shown the door and sent into the dustbin uh of history and that report is going to reveal a lot
00:48:29.380
of issues as well about folks who've worked with them in terms of our businesses as well as wall
00:48:34.980
street silicon valley and others who've worked with the chinese communist party to help them squirrel away
00:48:41.780
their untold uh billions of dollars uh around the world well it was my great pleasure to have the
00:48:49.700
opportunity to host war room battleground today i was very pleased to be joined by uh sam faddis
00:48:56.420
