00:01:18.220 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,
00:01:21.620 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favourite rebels.
00:01:26.440 I'm your host, David Menzies.
00:01:28.540 Hey, if you thought freedom of the press was under attack in Canada,
00:01:32.560 check out the situation on the ground down under,
00:01:36.320 where authorities are using the global pandemic to strip its citizens of their basic rights.
00:01:43.360 And our newest rebel, Avi Yamini, has the bruises to prove it.
00:01:48.080 Will you hear what Avi has to say?
00:01:51.020 So, you would think everybody would be on side when it comes to denouncing pedophiles and human traffickers.
00:01:59.420 But not so fast.
00:02:01.000 Drea Humphrey was covering a protest against these odious things.
00:02:05.940 But members of the loony left staged a counter-protest?
00:02:11.380 Gee, does that mean they support pedophilia and human trafficking?
00:02:16.540 Drea will try to make sense of it all.
00:02:18.940 And finally, letters.
00:02:20.140 We get your letters.
00:02:20.940 We get your letters every minute of every day.
00:02:23.360 And I'll share some of your responses regarding my most recent visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Brampton,
00:02:30.000 where one shall be arrested for having the temerity to ask questions of the Emperor, Lord Patrick Brown.
00:02:38.220 And no, I'm not kidding.
00:02:40.460 Those are your rebels.
00:02:41.420 Now, let's round them up.
00:02:47.400 And just like the other journalists there,
00:02:49.240 I followed the protesters as they marched for a good couple of hours to Albert Park.
00:02:54.520 Over the next few days, I'll release a lot more of what happened on the march.
00:02:58.040 I mean, like the stuff that you won't see in the mainstream media.
00:03:01.440 But this report, I want to focus on how the police behaved as they trapped the protesters by the Albert Park Lake.
00:03:11.080 So there's been numerous, quite intense, heavy-handed arrests here today.
00:03:19.660 We walked around for, there was probably a good two hours where there was no arrests, no anything.
00:03:25.960 It was quite peaceful until...
00:03:28.360 I'm just going to stop here for a second.
00:03:39.660 As you can see, I was just doing my job.
00:03:42.500 There was no one even around me.
00:03:45.060 The bloke marched up to me while I was doing a piece to camera.
00:03:48.700 You can actually hear me laugh because I seriously thought he was joking.
00:03:54.340 If you watched my content before, you'll know that sometimes cops walk up to me and banter a little bit.
00:03:59.580 You know, I guess they like my work or they appreciate it or they find it funny or they see my sense of humour and they join in.
00:04:04.780 But I quickly realised that this power-hungry commander was not bantering.
00:04:09.480 No arrests, no anything.
00:04:11.160 It was quite peaceful until...
00:04:13.480 This bloke here is not here for any purposes or reasons.
00:04:15.700 Adi, let's go to!
00:04:16.620 He's under arrest.
00:04:18.380 But this guy here is going to be placed under arrest right now.
00:04:21.160 I'm under arrest.
00:04:23.640 I'm media.
00:04:25.100 I am media.
00:04:26.360 I'm media.
00:04:29.680 I've got my permit in my pocket.
00:04:33.140 My permit is in my pocket.
00:04:35.200 I'm fine, I'm fine.
00:04:36.200 I've got my permit in my pocket.
00:04:38.580 I work for Rebel News.
00:04:40.740 I am lawfully here.
00:04:42.660 I've got my permit in my pocket.
00:04:45.220 So what is more shocking, folks?
00:04:47.380 The fact that a journalist was physically assaulted by law enforcement for absolutely no reason?
00:04:54.140 Or the fact that this odious event did not happen in North Korea or Iran,
00:04:59.880 but rather in a Commonwealth country such as Australia?
00:05:04.280 Absolutely disgusting.
00:05:06.540 And disturbing.
00:05:08.480 And joining me now with more on this shocking story is our newest rebel, Avi Yamini.
00:05:13.780 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, Avi.
00:05:16.620 Thanks for having me, mate.
00:05:18.280 It is a pleasure.
00:05:19.600 Glad to see you on board.
00:05:20.860 Avi, let's cut to the chase.
00:05:22.680 In recent days, we've seen a pregnant woman in her pajamas being handcuffed and arrested
00:05:28.160 for stating on social media she was going to a protest.
00:05:30.840 Likewise, a soldier had his door smashed in by law enforcement for making a similar pronouncement.
00:05:37.860 And then last Saturday, you were tackled to the ground for absolutely no valid reason whatsoever.
00:05:44.720 Avi, what the hell is going on in Australia right now?
00:05:48.200 We're living in a police state here.
00:05:51.160 And it's scary to see how quickly your rights can just be eroded like that.
00:05:58.660 And the police state, you know, the people that are meant to serve and protect you suddenly gain some new powers all in the name, you know,
00:06:06.940 under the pretense of fighting the virus, suddenly fighting their citizens.
00:06:12.680 And that's what we're seeing here right now.
00:06:15.280 And it is shocking.
00:06:16.220 It is scary because I've been, you know, I've been to Hong Kong to cover those protests.
00:06:20.960 And I haven't, you know, I haven't seen that.
00:06:23.660 You know, the journalist standing there doing a piece to camera, tackled to the ground.
00:06:28.300 It's shocking.
00:06:29.400 Yeah, you weren't giving any resistance.
00:06:31.360 In fact, you were chuckling when the officer said he was putting you under arrest.
00:06:36.480 That's probably because you couldn't believe what you were hearing.
00:06:40.940 So that was such an egregious overreaction, I thought.
00:06:44.560 But, you know, Avi, I want to back it up a bit.
00:06:46.680 What we didn't show in the clip was your journey to the protests.
00:06:51.560 And I saw something that had my jaw resting on the linoleum.
00:06:55.880 You're pulled over by a COVID-19 checkpoint.
00:07:00.700 And you have to show your permits, plural, for conducting journalism.
00:07:06.140 I mean, Avi, for someone in Canada, someone in the U.S., we're just scratching our heads
00:07:10.520 and going, what?
00:07:11.820 Permits to practice journalism?
00:07:13.720 What's that about?
00:07:15.220 Someone in Victoria, if you told me that three months ago, I would have been scratching my
00:07:20.820 head going, there's no chance that that's going to be here in Melbourne, Australia in
00:07:24.840 2020.
00:07:25.840 It's the kind of story you hear, you know, from this community, in the Jewish community
00:07:30.320 here that I grew up in.
00:07:31.440 It's a very big Holocaust survivor community.
00:07:34.920 That's the kind of stories you hear from them, that you were only allowed to travel
00:07:38.500 with documents to prove you're allowed to be in your own CBD.
00:07:43.240 And as a journalist that you have to, you know, provide evidence that you're a journalist
00:07:48.260 so you can go and cover a story in the CBD.
00:07:50.940 It is craziness what is happening here.
00:07:53.920 We're the only place in the world where our citizens are trapped.
00:07:58.020 We've got no right to movement anymore.
00:08:00.520 The freedom of movement has been taken away from us.
00:08:02.360 We're trapped here.
00:08:03.060 There's no international flights coming in.
00:08:05.060 You can't get out of Australia at the moment without a permit.
00:08:08.660 Now, the permit's not easy to get.
00:08:11.040 I'm an Australian-Israeli citizen.
00:08:13.040 I have dual citizenship.
00:08:15.420 I can't go back to Israel.
00:08:16.780 My mum lives in Israel.
00:08:17.820 All my, you know, I've got nephews and nieces and my brothers and sisters.
00:08:20.740 I've got hundreds of thousands of cousins, really, in Israel.
00:08:25.220 I'm not allowed to go there as an Israeli citizen because in Australia, they will not allow me
00:08:31.220 to jump on a flight out of this country.
00:08:34.220 They're locking us up literally in our homes.
00:08:37.520 There's a curfew at 8 p.m.
00:08:40.120 And just yesterday, it turns out that, you know, until now, the excuse has been that it
00:08:45.700 is all under the direction of the chief health officer.
00:08:48.640 Well, yesterday, the chief health officer said he didn't order the curfew, for example,
00:08:53.780 the curfew specifically.
00:08:55.220 He didn't order the curfew.
00:08:56.980 So then the premier, Daniel Andrews here, who claimed it was, he's been saying all the
00:09:02.800 way through that it's only under the health advice that they're enforcing these rules.
00:09:08.200 He said, oh, no, no, that one was specifically to make the job for police easier to enforce
00:09:14.940 the restrictions, which has two problems with it.
00:09:17.320 One is, firstly, the police denied ever asking for it.
00:09:21.200 So they didn't ask for it.
00:09:22.780 And two is, well, that's a kind of argument the CCP make.
00:09:27.940 We're going to impose curfews to make it easier for law enforcement to enforce these
00:09:35.580 laws that strip you of all your rights in the first place.
00:09:40.200 It is craziness.
00:09:41.660 You know, and I remember on the video, the police officer said to you at one point, you
00:09:47.320 have no purposeful reason for being there.
00:09:51.500 I mean, what?
00:09:52.500 You need a purpose to go out in public in Australia these days?
00:09:56.040 I mean, well, the purpose is I want to be there.
00:09:59.220 I'm in a free country, ostensibly.
00:10:01.900 What was that about?
00:10:03.560 Well, I agree with the sentiment.
00:10:05.200 Yes, I'm in a free country.
00:10:06.640 I should be allowed to go anywhere.
00:10:07.780 But at the moment, the COVID restrictions say you need to have a permit with a purposeful
00:10:12.520 reason listed on it as to why you're out of your...
00:10:17.100 The rules at the moment is you're allowed to be only within 5Ks of your house, one person
00:10:22.760 at a time going to the supermarket.
00:10:24.580 You're only allowed out for one hour a day to exercise.
00:10:28.020 Anything beyond that, you need to have a permit.
00:10:31.240 The thing is, I had the permit.
00:10:33.300 I had the purposeful reason according to their dodgy guidelines, according to their overreach.
00:10:39.240 I still complied.
00:10:40.880 That's the crazy thing is I still complied.
00:10:43.640 As a free person, I should be able to go to the city for anything.
00:10:48.640 But in this case, I was complying to their draconian laws.
00:10:52.820 And still, he argued with it because why?
00:10:57.200 I'm the wrong kind of journalist.
00:10:58.980 I'm the kind of journalist that criticizes this overreach.
00:11:03.220 So he targeted me.
00:11:05.560 And that's where the fight is coming back.
00:11:08.420 And everyone, jump on it.
00:11:09.920 I think it's standwitharvey.com.
00:11:11.880 We're going to take this fight further.
00:11:14.160 And I'm so excited to be part of the Rebel team because that's what Rebel does, is they
00:11:17.680 actually fight for their journalists.
00:11:21.520 Because I have been in situations in the past, people that have followed me for a while know
00:11:25.780 I have been arrested at protests before.
00:11:28.440 And it's almost like unless you've got the backing to stand up and fight, you kind of
00:11:34.980 got to cop it on the chin.
00:11:36.260 And I think the police that day expected me to cop it on the chin because I have in the
00:11:41.660 past just taken it.
00:11:44.120 And, you know, I've showed it to the world, but that's as far as it's gone.
00:11:48.440 Well, those days have ended.
00:11:50.540 That's not as far as it's going to go this time.
00:11:52.820 Well, Avi, I can tell you this.
00:11:53.840 Now that you're on the Rebel team, our boss, Ezra Levent, he does not bend the knee.
00:11:59.340 Three days before your arrest, I was arrested for practicing journalism in Brampton, Ontario.
00:12:05.360 The cops were much more gentle with me when they put me in the cruiser.
00:12:09.340 But the thing is, the end result of that arrest was a $65 ticket for trespassing.
00:12:16.480 And Ezra says, if it takes $65,000 to fight this, all the way to the Supreme Court, we will
00:12:23.660 do so.
00:12:24.760 And, you know, that leads me to another question, another Ezra-ism, if I will, Avi, is that
00:12:32.280 it seems to us that around the world, governments of all political stripes, governments of all
00:12:41.120 levels, municipal, provincial, state, federal, certain politicians, certain bureaucrats have
00:12:49.320 gone a little taste of totalitarian power.
00:12:53.320 And you know what?
00:12:53.760 I love it.
00:12:54.200 They kind of like that taste.
00:12:56.160 Is that what you're picking up?
00:12:57.780 Is that the vibe you're getting in Australia right now?
00:13:01.260 Especially here in Victoria, in Melbourne, 100%.
00:13:05.180 And what I was saying to you a minute ago just proves it.
00:13:07.940 The fact that till now they've used the excuse of blaming the health advice.
00:13:13.240 Well, it turns out it's not health advice.
00:13:15.000 It was made on the whim of what we call dictator Dan here because he just makes up restrictions
00:13:20.740 that really are just giving him more power.
00:13:24.500 They get the taste for it and they're loving it.
00:13:27.140 And it's a problem that if people don't stand up and fight it, well, what do you think is
00:13:33.480 going to happen?
00:13:34.220 Just apply some common sense is what I tell people.
00:13:37.780 You know, you've got somebody that's obviously power hungry.
00:13:40.800 And a lot of these, you know, premiers or state premiers or these politicians, they get
00:13:45.660 into this, into that industry because they want power.
00:13:49.400 So the minute you've given them power under the idea of fighting a health thing, you know,
00:13:54.960 so they're explaining to their victims, oh no, we're only taking the power to protect you.
00:14:01.180 The minute they get that power, how hard do you think it's going to be for them to release
00:14:05.560 it?
00:14:05.680 And that's exactly what we're seeing here.
00:14:07.260 It's escalated.
00:14:08.700 As the evidence has come out to show us that maybe these lockdowns are not as helpful as
00:14:15.140 we originally thought, here that's not translating on the street, on the ground.
00:14:21.100 The lockdowns are escalating instead of loosening up and trying to deal with the crisis in a more
00:14:28.220 sensible fashion.
00:14:29.860 And that comes down to exactly what you're saying.
00:14:31.680 They get a taste for the power and they're running with it.
00:14:34.640 Folks, that was Avi Yamini in Melbourne, Australia.
00:14:38.420 What a fantastic addition to the Rebel News team.
00:14:41.660 Keep it right here.
00:14:42.580 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.
00:14:45.160 Drea Humphrey here with Rebel News.
00:14:52.080 And last Sunday, I attended what I thought would be, no doubt, a peaceful protest with
00:14:57.260 zero opposition, at least publicly anyways.
00:15:00.560 But boy, was I wrong.
00:15:02.680 The March Against Trafficking protest started at 1790 Beach Ave in Vancouver, BC.
00:15:09.680 Approximately 50 protesters marched around the area for around 20 minutes and returned back
00:15:15.040 to the starting spot for organized speeches about human trafficking and pedophilia awareness.
00:15:21.940 Surprisingly, even though saving children was the main theme of the event, the illogically
00:15:27.620 angry left still couldn't resist trying to cancel the protests.
00:15:31.660 They used their usual tired tactics of throwing out baseless labels, all because people were
00:15:36.800 coming together and using their voices in a way that doesn't parrot the rhetoric of the
00:15:42.300 left.
00:15:43.440 Take this guy here for an example.
00:15:45.520 He saw it fit to interrupt one of the speakers named V and kicked down a protest sign about
00:15:52.400 missing children.
00:15:53.680 Who does that?
00:15:54.600 There were also a few others who publicly showed their disapproval for the group against human
00:16:00.320 trafficking.
00:16:01.380 I can't even believe I just said that sentence, but it's true.
00:16:05.000 One woman, however, topped the cake as far as aggressive and emotionally charged behavior
00:16:11.520 goes.
00:16:12.640 Meet Karen and her social justice puppy.
00:16:16.200 Maybe she's learned a thing or two from the Antifa groups.
00:16:24.600 Just when you thought that the zealots who comprise the loony left couldn't get any loonier,
00:16:54.320 this occurs.
00:16:56.880 Indeed, you would think a protest against pedophilia and human trafficking would transcend political
00:17:04.600 boundaries.
00:17:05.900 But no, such was not the case in Vancouver recently.
00:17:10.280 And how bizarre, how disturbing is that?
00:17:15.500 And joining me now to discuss this further is Drea Humphrey.
00:17:18.800 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, Drea.
00:17:20.880 Hey, thanks for having me.
00:17:22.700 Always a pleasure, Drea.
00:17:24.300 Now, Drea, I think I watched your video four or five times.
00:17:28.540 I was trying to make sense of it all.
00:17:31.280 It wasn't the reporting, by the way.
00:17:32.660 You did a great job.
00:17:33.900 It was just, it was that wild, unhinged Karen who seemed to be upset about anti-Semitism or
00:17:42.180 transphobia.
00:17:43.160 I mean, what in blue blazes was she rambling on about?
00:17:47.920 And what is anti-Semitic or transphobic about people protesting pedophiles and human traffickers?
00:17:57.800 Oh, my goodness.
00:17:59.940 I think the Kool-Aid they're drinking nowadays is just super strong or something because,
00:18:04.960 you know, she came out throwing every name of the book that she could come out with.
00:18:10.760 And it's painful almost giving people like that attention.
00:18:15.180 But you have to, you have to just show how ridiculous these social justice warriors from
00:18:22.100 the left can be.
00:18:23.700 And, you know, she said anti-Semitic.
00:18:27.900 I think she was trying to say that because she felt that it was a QAnon event, which it
00:18:33.540 wasn't.
00:18:34.340 In fact, one of the speakers even said he wasn't the QAnon that he had experienced or seen firsthand
00:18:40.120 in Canada, some horrible things with human trafficking.
00:18:44.780 So, you know, she just came out and was just ready to do what the left does, which is label
00:18:50.480 people to silence them.
00:18:52.960 You know, that's interesting.
00:18:54.580 So that even though, you know, the people are standing up for a cause, like I said, that
00:18:59.940 should transcend political boundaries.
00:19:02.160 And I think it does.
00:19:02.980 Because she just recognized some of those people as being not the kind of people that
00:19:08.460 embrace all of her ideology.
00:19:10.780 So that's why she was taking a stance against a just cause.
00:19:16.720 Exactly.
00:19:17.360 And I should clarify, I mean, even if you are a QAnon follower, that doesn't make you anti-Semitic.
00:19:22.400 But I think she was saying because people say bad things about George Soros, that makes
00:19:27.740 them anti-Semitic.
00:19:29.380 It's just nonsense.
00:19:30.300 And I don't know if you heard her bring up indigenous women dying.
00:19:36.140 And she said, no one said anything about that.
00:19:38.700 But same thing.
00:19:39.900 The actual first speech done by Tara Reeve, who actually organized the protest, she actually
00:19:47.120 brought that up as part of, you know, some of the things that have been sweeped under
00:19:51.660 the ground.
00:19:52.140 She actually said that.
00:19:53.720 And then you have Karen coming from her nearby apartment with her dog, you know, ready to shut
00:19:58.380 things down with her stereo or whatever.
00:20:02.380 Oh, I'm glad you mentioned that, Drea.
00:20:04.600 This is a note to all the loony leftists that go to protests or stage counter protests or
00:20:10.460 try to destroy the practice of journalism.
00:20:13.820 When you're wearing a mask and you're holding a sound box, you know, you're rambling sounds
00:20:20.300 like this.
00:20:22.800 You know, we can't.
00:20:24.780 I mean, you're already unhinged and incoherent.
00:20:27.600 When you bring in all that ambient noise, it just gets even worse.
00:20:31.020 But seriously, Drea, I'm also thinking if it's not maybe what we discussed that she recognized
00:20:36.600 people on the wrong side of the ideological scale that she disagreed, could it be that
00:20:42.880 some of these people, and I'm just blue skying here, there is a lunatic fringe that does want
00:20:49.300 to make pedophilia legal.
00:20:51.440 They even have a rebranding name for it.
00:20:54.440 It's called intergenerational love.
00:20:57.220 Is that maybe what these people are standing up against?
00:21:01.100 Because, hey, listen, what other conclusion am I supposed to draw when you, you know, counter
00:21:06.800 protest a protest about pedophilia and human trafficking?
00:21:12.940 I mean, that's a great question.
00:21:14.180 I mean, I felt like there would be people who are against this type of protest, but never
00:21:19.700 in a million years did I think they would go public with their complaints towards it.
00:21:25.080 So, yeah, there is, and that's something people need to be aware of.
00:21:28.960 This is a real deal.
00:21:30.160 Not only does human trafficking and pedophilia exist, we all know that, but there's actually
00:21:35.860 this shifting to try to normalize it, you know, in TED Talks and in articles and almost
00:21:43.780 have us sympathize with, you know, those who suffer from pedophilia.
00:21:49.560 So, it's disgusting and to have, I think some of the opposition, since there was four or
00:21:56.620 five people, I would conclude that maybe, yeah, at least one of them probably has that.
00:22:01.320 There was one gentleman and he came up with sunglasses and couldn't even articulate what
00:22:06.840 his issue was with the speech that was being done, but he went right up to the speaker.
00:22:11.380 And, you know, it wasn't expected, so I couldn't even catch it all as fast as I would have liked
00:22:17.060 to.
00:22:17.640 So, yeah.
00:22:19.360 Yeah, it's very disturbing.
00:22:21.360 And so, too, are the stats you quoted in your report.
00:22:24.360 1.2 million children, and this isn't everybody, just children, trafficked each year.
00:22:30.840 And then there was this, I thought, was a really staggering and disturbing statistic, Drea.
00:22:36.280 And I'm trying to understand why this is, according to Stats Canada, in a report from
00:22:41.640 2017, I believe, in the last decade, child pornography offenses had increased in this
00:22:48.220 country by 233%.
00:22:52.840 Drea, what's driving that?
00:22:56.740 Well, you know, I think obviously social media and how many kids are on social media and images
00:23:04.100 and just how much people use social media is a big part of the problem.
00:23:09.980 I'll never forget talking to a criminal lawyer one time, and he said, you know, my kids will
00:23:14.960 never, I'll never put a picture, even if they're fully closed, on social media, just from what
00:23:21.120 I've had to see from the bad guys and what they collect and stuff like that.
00:23:25.040 So I think there's things like that.
00:23:26.440 But then you also have young kids not really understanding the risks of things and being
00:23:32.060 on things and putting things out there.
00:23:34.640 So I don't know where they're getting all of their offenses are.
00:23:37.780 But I think parents really need to be aware of this and be aware of how their kids are online
00:23:45.620 and how they're perceived.
00:23:47.140 Even simple things like, you know, your kids playing at the spray park is super innocent
00:23:52.060 to you and to the wrong person, you know, it's something else.
00:23:56.440 So, you know, I think you're really onto something too, Dre, and when you talked about children
00:24:00.560 themselves sharing, revealing photographs with all the social media platforms they do,
00:24:07.020 it's so easy to do these days.
00:24:08.460 One last question.
00:24:09.660 As one of the protesters noted in your report as well, she rhetorically asked, where's the
00:24:15.060 mainstream media covering this protest?
00:24:17.040 CBC, Global, CTV, and the like.
00:24:23.220 Drea, where were they?
00:24:24.340 I guess this is nothing to see here, folks, for them?
00:24:27.860 No, there was nothing there.
00:24:29.360 And actually, that was the second one.
00:24:30.760 I ended up missing the first one, which I was disappointed to.
00:24:33.700 So that was the second one.
00:24:34.940 There was no mainstream media at the first one either.
00:24:37.620 And that's a good question.
00:24:38.940 And I guess, you know, missing and enslaved children is just not at the front lines of
00:24:45.940 what's important to them.
00:24:47.820 And then going back with that in a way, back to social media again, I don't know if you
00:24:52.000 know this, but I'm sorry, I'm trying to hide a shadow here.
00:24:55.280 But Facebook also censors a lot of stuff to do with people advocating for people to understand
00:25:02.020 how important this is.
00:25:03.240 They even temporarily, I guess they've let it run now, but they even blocked the hashtag
00:25:09.220 save the children.
00:25:11.540 Like, you know, so there's a lot of people complaining about how platforms like Facebook
00:25:17.840 are actually shutting down people spreading awareness of this.
00:25:21.280 So, yeah, it's just not something on the tip of the tongues of the left.
00:25:26.400 And, you know, they just parrot what they're told to parrot, really.
00:25:30.980 Incredible.
00:25:31.500 Save the children is somehow, in some way, offensive to the people at Facebook.
00:25:38.620 You know, I wonder if we just try to think of any kind of other protest to run, maybe
00:25:43.200 one in support of mother's milk or clean air or clean water.
00:25:47.360 Would that bring out a counter protest?
00:25:49.400 This world is mad, Drea.
00:25:51.780 And thank you again, my friend, for jumping into the bosom of the madness to cover it.
00:25:59.900 And like you said in your report, you never thought you were going to see a counter protest.
00:26:04.400 But I guess, hey, welcome to 2020, eh?
00:26:06.980 Yeah, and there'll be more coverage of that to come.
00:26:10.980 Fantastic.
00:26:11.800 Drea, you have a great weekend, my friend.
00:26:13.760 Thank you.
00:26:14.600 Got it.
00:26:15.180 And that was Drea Humphrey in Vancouver.
00:26:17.800 Keep it here, folks.
00:26:18.680 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.
00:26:20.900 Who's wasting resources?
00:26:27.260 Did you guys come away from the shooting at the cemetery to tackle David Manzies?
00:26:32.300 No, we're not.
00:26:32.740 Pulled off the shooting, the shooting case?
00:26:35.400 Who sent four cars?
00:26:37.220 I don't know why you have to be so challenging, sir.
00:26:39.200 Because I'm a journalist on a public property, that's why.
00:26:41.680 They said that they've trespassed this man with the hat.
00:26:44.200 They're liars.
00:26:45.640 I've got the form right here.
00:26:47.380 With all due respect, sir, Giddy Mammon is my lawyer here today.
00:26:50.740 Public property.
00:26:51.320 This works on private property, mate.
00:26:53.440 This is my Law Society card, okay?
00:26:55.800 And I don't advise people to break the law, okay?
00:26:59.160 I do...
00:26:59.920 No, no, you believe that I advise my clients to break the law.
00:27:04.000 But I did not actually do that.
00:27:05.060 I'm asking for a minute, please.
00:27:06.660 I understand that.
00:27:07.500 I understand that.
00:27:08.040 Okay, we're not here to argue, but it's as simple as this.
00:27:11.620 You're not supposed to be here.
00:27:13.200 They've told you to leave.
00:27:14.180 You're not leaving.
00:27:15.260 I'm telling you to leave.
00:27:16.940 So you should leave.
00:27:17.960 I think it's incredibly important that you know, and I'm talking to you.
00:27:21.460 I'm talking to him.
00:27:21.740 And I'm talking to you.
00:27:22.800 Because you have to know this.
00:27:24.020 I'm talking to you.
00:27:24.520 Sir, after, you can talk to your office.
00:27:25.640 Are you willing...
00:27:26.320 Are you ready to leave now?
00:27:27.260 I'm not, sir.
00:27:27.960 I am here to...
00:27:28.500 I'm going to help you off the property.
00:27:29.580 Let's go.
00:27:30.180 He's under arrest.
00:27:30.940 He's not under arrest.
00:27:31.660 Well, then, why are you touching me, officer?
00:27:33.680 Why are you...
00:27:34.660 I will arrest you for TPA, then.
00:27:37.300 Let's go.
00:27:37.680 That's assault.
00:27:38.940 I'm not under arrest, so you can't touch me, right?
00:27:41.020 Are you wanting to leave, then?
00:27:42.660 Arrest him or go away.
00:27:43.980 You said that there's two options.
00:27:45.100 Arrest him or go away, mate.
00:27:46.320 Just arrest him.
00:27:47.100 Okay, I'll arrest you for TPA, then.
00:27:48.760 Okay.
00:27:49.160 Let's do that.
00:27:49.560 I'm going to arrest him.
00:27:51.820 What do I do now?
00:27:53.000 Do you like me to play?
00:27:53.820 Peel Regional Police.
00:27:55.180 Sir?
00:27:56.520 Brampton's finest arresting a journalist for trying to ask questions of the mayor.
00:28:02.200 They're errand boys for the mayor.
00:28:04.340 Can we back up?
00:28:04.880 Peel Regional Police pulling their men off of a mass shooting at the cemetery.
00:28:09.680 I'm an officer safety issue.
00:28:11.000 It's an officer safety?
00:28:12.160 Don't lie.
00:28:12.780 Please don't lie.
00:28:13.500 Stop lying.
00:28:14.100 You're at the back of my officers, my colleagues.
00:28:16.840 You're not listening to me.
00:28:18.120 You're not listening to the law, mate.
00:28:20.060 You're not listening to the law.
00:28:20.920 I am listening.
00:28:21.420 This is public property.
00:28:22.720 That's fantastic.
00:28:22.920 There's a different standard for the Trespass Act in public property.
00:28:26.340 Take it up a proper way instead of coming up here.
00:28:28.800 Like, what's this getting you?
00:28:29.660 Why are you listening to a hand-scrawled note that's not even served?
00:28:34.880 Does he have it in his hand?
00:28:37.120 I could verbally ask you or tell you that you're not allowed on property.
00:28:40.620 If I didn't have the right to be here, he has the right to be here.
00:28:44.440 Not when an agent of the property has asked you to not.
00:28:47.440 Not on public property, mate.
00:28:48.860 You're confusing private property with public property.
00:28:51.740 We will.
00:28:52.440 Look at this.
00:28:52.920 Four cars and all you cops pulled off the shooting file.
00:28:56.200 You must be proud.
00:28:56.960 Someone has to decide.
00:28:59.700 The courts have to decide.
00:29:01.220 Yeah, and the courts can decide.
00:29:02.300 So if you feel that this is the best way to de-escalate the situation, then so be it.
00:29:08.780 Five weeks in a row, is that not enough?
00:29:10.820 Have they disturbed anybody?
00:29:12.580 Have they bothered anybody?
00:29:13.620 Have they destroyed any property?
00:29:14.800 That's not my call.
00:29:16.040 Sure it is.
00:29:16.880 No, it's not.
00:29:17.280 If you're a security...
00:29:18.220 Is this my first time being here?
00:29:19.200 Hold on.
00:29:19.760 I'm talking, actually.
00:29:21.340 No, no.
00:29:22.240 I'm going to talk.
00:29:23.600 Go ahead.
00:29:24.220 Feel free to talk.
00:29:24.860 This is the fifth time in a row.
00:29:25.980 I understand that.
00:29:26.520 Right?
00:29:26.680 They are agents of the property, whether you like it or not.
00:29:30.000 Right.
00:29:30.400 Okay, and I get all of this...
00:29:31.940 They arrested David Menzies.
00:29:33.740 I get all of this...
00:29:34.300 He's in the car right now.
00:29:36.300 And welcome to the Democratic People's Republic of Brampton, Ontario, lorded over by the petty
00:29:42.220 little lying liar who almost became premier of the province, Lord Patrick Brown.
00:29:49.040 How staggering was that scene, folks?
00:29:51.620 We went to public property, namely the Earnscliff Recreation Centre, in the hope of scrumming
00:29:57.840 that little lying liar.
00:30:00.240 And three security SUVs and five police cruisers responded.
00:30:05.920 You can almost imagine the emergency dispatcher calling all cars.
00:30:10.960 Somebody's practicing journalism near a hockey rink.
00:30:14.440 Please have the emergency task force on standby.
00:30:17.560 What a joke.
00:30:19.560 What a waste of police resources.
00:30:21.900 And what an egregious crackdown on freedom of the press.
00:30:25.300 In any event, here's what you had to say.
00:30:28.220 Robin Brown writes,
00:30:29.660 They don't arrest people for trying to derail a train, but they arrest people for exposing
00:30:35.400 Patrick Brown corruption.
00:30:37.580 Plain and simple.
00:30:38.880 Well, that's right, Robin.
00:30:39.900 Welcome to New Canada, where we have two-tier law enforcement based on identity politics.
00:30:46.220 Di Persaud writes,
00:30:48.060 The police seem to be the private security force for politicians, instead of acting in
00:30:54.400 the public interest.
00:30:55.780 Well, you know, Di, it sure seems that way to us, too.
00:30:58.860 And that's not how it's supposed to work.
00:31:02.220 As this case winds through the courts in the months ahead, I can't wait for the disclosure
00:31:07.740 to reveal whose greasy fingerprints are behind this flagrant misuse of law enforcement resources.
00:31:16.480 Twatter54 writes,
00:31:17.580 My girlfriend's home was broken into when she got home and she called the police fearing
00:31:22.600 the robbers might be still inside.
00:31:25.380 Took them 45 minutes to show up because they were busy.
00:31:29.740 I see why.
00:31:30.880 Wow, Twatter54.
00:31:32.200 What an awful story.
00:31:33.520 I think your girlfriend should have claimed to be one of Patrick Brown's gal pals.
00:31:39.560 Then the Peel Regional Police would have responded with a helicopter.
00:31:44.180 Jimmy Matho writes,
00:31:45.980 Love, Ezra.
00:31:47.080 Canada is lucky to have such a patriot.
00:31:49.500 Well, you know what, Jimmy?
00:31:50.860 What's not to love?
00:31:52.420 I received a $65 ticket as a result of that trespassing incident.
00:31:57.340 And Ezra says we'll spend $65,000, if need be, to fight this egregious attack on free speech.
00:32:06.640 How many executives in the mainstream media would ever show that kind of commitment to a cause?
00:32:13.180 Well, I think the number rhymes with hero.
00:32:16.620 And Jonathan Nadeau writes,
00:32:18.920 The last journalists in Canada are getting arrested for doing their job.
00:32:22.740 Well, Jonathan, I don't know if we're the last journalists left in Canada, but you raise a good point.
00:32:28.880 This should be a cause celeb.
00:32:31.380 This should have created the proverbial media snowball with all media organizations taking a stance for freedom of the press.
00:32:39.560 But with very few exceptions, that has not been the case.
00:32:43.040 Look, I don't care if those in the mainstream media hate me or hate Ezra or hate Rebel News.
00:32:49.780 That's fine, but they should love freedom of speech, freedom of expression, and freedom of the press.
00:32:57.960 Gee, I guess when you owe your existence to a government bailout,
00:33:02.100 maybe those freedoms aren't so important anymore for those in the media who are now merely trained SEAL ideologues.
00:33:11.220 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.
00:33:13.980 Thanks so much for joining us.
00:33:15.280 See you next week.
00:33:16.120 And hey, folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.
00:33:20.180 Good night.
00:33:20.580 Good night.
00:33:38.300 Good night.
00:33:38.780 Good night.
00:33:39.720 Good night.
00:33:40.740 Good night.
00:33:45.740 Good night.
