Summary

The persecution of Christians in Canada is worse than anywhere else in the Western world, and it's getting worse by the day. Pastor Henry Hildebrandt, a Christian leader in the province of Alberta, Canada, is serving a seven-year sentence for building a church without a permit.

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. Sometimes on these holidays, we do a compilation video, sort of the best of
00:00:05.460 this story or the best of that on-air talent. You know, we put out so many videos of Rebel News.
00:00:12.800 I think it's too much for any one person just to watch them all. I confess, sometimes I don't even
00:00:18.100 have time to watch them all. So on these holidays, we like to do a best of, but today's a little
00:00:22.440 different. It's going to be a worst of. This is the worst of the persecution of Christian churches
00:00:30.680 in Canada. That's ahead, but before we get to that, let me invite you to become a subscriber
00:00:37.000 to Rebel News Plus. That's the video version of this podcast. You'll be able to understand these
00:00:42.600 podcasts pretty well through the audio podcast, but these are all visually reported stories with
00:00:49.120 video camera, and I think they're much more powerful that way. I would invite you to become
00:00:53.360 a subscriber. Just go to rebelnews.com, click subscribe. It's eight bucks a month, 80 bucks
00:00:57.600 for the whole year, and the satisfaction of knowing you keep Rebel News independent. All right, here's
00:01:02.940 today's terrible show, the worst of the persecution of the churches.
00:01:19.120 Tonight, a terrible dishonor. Canada takes the lead in being one of the worst countries to be a
00:01:28.940 Christian pastor. It's May 24th, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:01:35.000 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:38.740 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:01:42.820 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it, is because it's my bloody
00:01:47.680 right to do so.
00:01:58.760 I'm Jewish, but I care about the persecution of Christians around the world. In fact,
00:02:03.560 that may be one of the reasons why I do care about it, because I know from the history of the Jewish
00:02:08.260 people what religious persecution can be like, especially for minorities. And there are parts
00:02:13.540 of the world, like the Middle East and China, where Christians are minorities, and the nature
00:02:18.460 of Christians is to turn the other cheek. And so sometimes, other Christian allies are not as
00:02:25.020 strong, not as vigorous or forceful in defending the interests of Christians. I don't want to pick
00:02:31.320 on any Christian leader in particularly, but I'm always disappointed in how timid the Pope himself is
00:02:37.060 in speaking up for Christians behind enemy lines in places like the Nineveh Plain of Iraq or in China
00:02:44.180 itself. But that's the thing. I always thought the persecution of Christians was something that
00:02:49.420 happened over there. We'd hear of horrific mass kidnappings and rapes of Christian girls in Nigeria
00:02:57.060 at the hands of Boko Haram. We'd hear of mass murders of Coptic Christians in Egypt,
00:03:03.680 slaughters of Christians at the hands of ISIS when they were dominant in northern Iraq. It was always
00:03:11.040 over there, though, wasn't it? The house churches being raided and smashed in China. In Pakistan, the tiny
00:03:18.720 Christian minority being abused, sometimes even murdered. Over there, far away. Who amongst us has even
00:03:26.020 been to such exotic places? And maybe it was easy for us to say we were for Christians when it really
00:03:33.540 meant something in the abstract. We're for Christians and against persecution for something
00:03:39.120 far away. We don't actually have to live it here because it's not a problem here. So maybe it was a
00:03:45.140 little bit of moral preening, a little bit of virtue signaling in the hopes that we would never have to
00:03:50.220 deal with that problem here. But I think what we've all observed in the last few months is that the
00:03:56.840 problem is here. And I point in particular to my home province of Alberta, which has the unhappy
00:04:04.920 reputation now of being the place that has jailed three Christian pastors for opening their church
00:04:13.420 in a much smaller manner than any Costco or Walmart does. It's not just Alberta. In Aylmer, Ontario,
00:04:20.680 Pastor Henry Hildebrandt literally has armed police walk into the church in the middle of a service
00:04:27.680 and vacate the entire premises. Where are all those people who said they cared? I don't mean the Pope or
00:04:37.460 American evangelical leaders. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about us here in Canada. Where are
00:04:44.200 the small churches, the big ones, the Christian groups, the ones who wear a little nun symbol because
00:04:50.160 they care about the persecution of Christians in Iraq, the N being a symbol for Nazarene. And
00:04:57.260 that's what sometimes the Islamic State would call Christians they were about to attack. They would
00:05:03.220 mark their houses with that Arabic letter N for the Nazarene to mark it for Jesus. Everyone who ever
00:05:11.140 wore a bracelet that said WWJD, what would Jesus do? Everyone who ever wore a little nun, everyone who ever
00:05:17.060 said, I'm for the Christians. I'm going to pack a little shoebox for Samaritan's Purse. Okay, but the
00:05:23.760 crisis is here and now. And where are those allies? Other than a handful of churches that you could
00:05:30.320 really count on one or two hands fingers. Where's everyone? Because it's happening now. I haven't heard
00:05:37.920 any stories about China jailing pastors for being open during the pandemic. Have you? I haven't heard
00:05:44.400 stories about that from Egypt or Iraq or Pakistan or Nigeria. Have you? But I've seen three churches
00:05:53.140 being shut down, pastors arrested, a church in Ontario being shut down. I find it deeply troubling.
00:06:00.180 I'm glad that we are legally helping several of these churches, including Pastor Arthur Pawlowski.
00:06:07.480 We're also journalistically covering the cases that are represented by other lawyers like the
00:06:12.500 Justice Center for Constitutional Freedom. And so today on this holiday Monday, sometimes on
00:06:18.480 holidays we have the best of, the best of this reporter, the best of this story. This is the opposite.
00:06:24.580 This is the worst of. For the rest of today's show, I would like to show you the worst
00:06:29.960 of the anti-Christian persecution that is being executed in the name of the pandemic. That's
00:06:38.920 today's show. Stay with us. That obedience to Christ is the catalyst for persecution. And so you
00:06:47.980 don't wait to be persecuted to obey Christ. It's your obedience to Christ that results.
00:06:54.580 In persecution. Our church is committed to the Word of God. We are committed to preaching the
00:07:00.160 Word of God verse by verse. We're committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We want the Word of God to
00:07:05.740 shape all that we do, every area of our lives, from the way that we parent to the way that we live in
00:07:11.260 the community. And so we've just been faithful to preach the Word of God. And people have come
00:07:17.720 hungry to hear the Word of God. And that just continues to happen even now as we go through this
00:07:22.800 season. You know, I was speaking to quite a few people, of course, off the record, that they're
00:07:27.760 not regular congregants to your church, but they're coming because they see this as a vibrant church
00:07:35.400 and a church that is willing to stand up for the civil liberties of not just Christians, but everybody.
00:07:42.920 Yeah, it's been amazing. Obviously, the media attention has given us greater attention,
00:07:49.300 and that means people are coming. And we want people to hear the Word of God. We're obviously
00:07:53.580 in a very awkward situation as far as accommodating new folks, given the limited number of seats that
00:07:59.840 we have. But ultimately, we want God to be glorified, and we want His Word to go forth. And if that draws
00:08:06.940 people, then it's difficult to turn them away.
00:08:10.760 You see, some of you have the impression that if we were being persecuted, then only then would it
00:08:15.460 be right for us to gather, which is a strange position, especially since all you need to do is
00:08:21.460 obey the government, comply with government to avoid persecution. If you comply with the government,
00:08:28.780 you may never be persecuted.
00:08:30.960 Now, can you tell us exactly what happened last week? Because I've seen reports that you were
00:08:36.520 arrested.
00:08:37.040 I was arrested. I was arrested and released in the same moment. And the RCMP has been excellent as
00:08:47.360 they've navigated this. Obviously, they're under a lot of pressure, I would think, to enforce the
00:08:54.180 health orders that are in place. But yeah, they've been good. I was arrested. And I even said to them
00:09:05.200 at one point in time, so technically, I'm arrested. And they said, oh, you're arrested. But I was
00:09:10.160 arrested and released in the same moment.
00:09:12.900 And so that was for violating the public health order?
00:09:15.760 Yes, Section 73-1 of the Public Health Act. Yeah.
00:09:19.780 And your church has been ordered closed, but it's never, I guess, been fuller.
00:09:24.560 Correct.
00:09:25.320 When did they issue the closure notice?
00:09:28.860 They issued that on, oh, let me just think here. I'm losing track. January 29th, which was my
00:09:37.920 birthday, actually. So happy birthday. Here's a closure notice. And so yes, Friday, January 29th.
00:09:44.800 Now, you're not opening your church, from what I understand, because I enjoyed your sermon today.
00:09:50.400 It hit all the sweet spots for me. But you're not doing this to be rebellious at all.
00:09:55.960 No. We love the Lord Jesus Christ. We are required, commanded to gather and to worship Him with one
00:10:04.940 voice, one mind. And so we are committed to honoring and glorifying Him. In fact, we believe that us
00:10:12.000 honoring Him in this way is the best thing we can do for our province. To invite God's blessing upon
00:10:18.100 this province, gathering as believers to worship the Lord Jesus Christ is critical. And so, no, we don't
00:10:28.120 have animosity toward government. We want to maintain humility and submissiveness. But we are
00:10:34.160 accountable to Christ. And He is the ultimate and supreme authority. And so He governs all of our
00:10:40.400 lives. And His authority, at times, will be in conflict with the governing authorities. And at that
00:10:46.220 point in time, we submit to Christ.
00:10:49.420 And really, what that does to say that only if we're being persecuted or we need to gather as we
00:10:56.400 currently are, you're basically saying that it's right to gather. Implicitly, you're saying it's right
00:11:02.200 to gather. That according to the Word of God, if persecution were on the church, then we would have
00:11:09.880 an obligation to gather. So you're admitting that it's right to gather. I think that's amazing.
00:11:18.860 Your sermon also touched on the role of government today. Can you elaborate a little bit?
00:11:24.120 Yeah, so the role of government is actually a biblical reality. This is our Father's world. And He,
00:11:31.220 in the garden, prior to the fall of man, put in place a kingdom mandate whereby man was given the
00:11:37.080 responsibility to exercise dominion over the earth. And government was put in place subsequent to that
00:11:46.060 and was put in place to ensure that kingdom mandate would be realized. There are fundamental,
00:11:52.480 inalienable rights that are given to man by God that are built right into that kingdom mandate,
00:11:58.680 and the government's role and responsibility is to ensure those rights are protected. And that would be
00:12:03.840 the right to work, the right to have a family, the right to worship, the right to purchase and acquire
00:12:11.960 property. And so the government is in place to ensure those things can take place. What's interesting
00:12:18.800 is that the government lockdowns are infringing on those inalienable rights that come from God.
00:12:25.260 And that's because the government has stepped outside of its lane and is now entering into a role that's
00:12:30.860 not theirs. And so there's a sense in which, because they're trying to balance what they're calling
00:12:36.080 our civil liberties against the harms of lockdown measures, they are, in essence, playing God.
00:12:45.420 Are you telling us that the public health orders override criminal code 176?
00:12:49.740 I'm not here to debate that.
00:12:51.000 Okay.
00:12:51.420 I'm here to do a job under...
00:12:53.860 But you entering the building would determine that that is overwritten?
00:12:57.340 Now, see, we're getting into a debate.
00:12:59.100 No, no, I'm asking a question. I'm trying to get an answer.
00:13:01.380 Again, I'm not here to debate those things. Those are things that can be debated in court.
00:13:05.560 Okay.
00:13:06.240 And I'll let the lawyers and the judges make that call.
00:13:08.240 So I guess, though, by you guys going inside, you would be saying that you're guilty of interrupting
00:13:15.160 a worship service.
00:13:15.840 No, I'm not saying that.
00:13:16.400 No, but you're saying that the public health orders override criminal code 176?
00:13:20.560 I'm not saying that either.
00:13:21.120 But that's why we can't let you in then, because the code 176 makes it illegal for you to interrupt
00:13:26.060 a worship service. And our worship service has begun. And we're stating that to you very
00:13:31.020 clearly, that your presence in this building will be interrupting our worship service.
00:13:35.940 How so?
00:13:36.740 Because your presence intimidates our people.
00:13:40.140 That's your perception.
00:13:41.320 Well, no.
00:13:42.000 How so?
00:13:42.640 No. And again, it's not about perception. Our people understand that you guys, and again,
00:13:47.280 we respect the work that you do in the community. We respect you as police officers. But in our
00:13:51.940 worship service right now, people are praying, people are singing, people are listening to
00:13:55.840 the word of God be preached. And they can't do that with your presence in the building.
00:14:00.500 And with all due respect, the law has now put our pastor in prison. And so for the RCMP
00:14:05.320 to come into the service, it is absolutely a disruption. We have seen the arm of law enforcement
00:14:11.780 come against us. So to come in our building is absolutely intimidation at this point.
00:14:18.500 That's why we can't let you in.
00:14:20.600 Once again, I'm sorry you feel that way, but you have to understand that we also have a
00:14:24.800 job to do, right?
00:14:25.660 Yeah, we do.
00:14:26.500 Okay. So under that authority, that's why we're here. We're not here to go up and down
00:14:32.760 the aisles. We're not here to interrupt the service.
00:14:34.540 But you actually will be.
00:14:36.080 No, we won't.
00:14:36.460 No, when you go inside, you will see that you will be.
00:14:39.140 You'll be, our people are sitting right there. And our service has, now we are officially
00:14:45.480 started.
00:14:46.180 Right now we have.
00:14:46.960 Yeah.
00:14:47.260 We've wasted time.
00:14:48.200 We were started before that, but now he's in the pulpit.
00:14:50.460 We were already praying and singing.
00:14:51.700 Yeah.
00:14:52.020 He's in the pulpit.
00:14:53.500 I haven't been in, so I don't know what it's like.
00:14:55.820 But like I said, it's not that we're here to interrupt anything.
00:15:00.580 But you will be.
00:15:01.520 And it's not an interpretation. You will be. It's a fact. You will be interrupting.
00:15:05.460 We are standing firm on the criminal code 176 that protects these rights.
00:15:10.020 Yep. I'm sorry you feel that way. Again, that is not our intent. Okay. And if there's
00:15:15.020 no intent, then.
00:15:17.460 Well, I don't think intent is what it comes down to.
00:15:20.420 No.
00:15:20.600 It does come down to that.
00:15:21.760 Well, no, because the moment you walk in the door, you're interrupting an arrest.
00:15:24.520 And that's very clear in the criminal code.
00:15:26.760 And what's also clear is intent.
00:15:28.260 So there has to be a reason for somebody to do something. It's called mens rea.
00:15:32.660 Okay. So if someone wants to cause property damage, they have to want to cause property
00:15:37.040 damage for a reason.
00:15:37.940 Yeah.
00:15:38.620 If they do it by accident.
00:15:39.840 So can I ask what your intent?
00:15:41.220 What is your intent?
00:15:42.820 Like the inspector has stated, I'll let him say why he's here. I don't want to speak for
00:15:49.140 him.
00:15:49.260 Okay.
00:15:49.440 We're only here on his behalf.
00:15:50.800 Yeah.
00:15:50.940 Okay.
00:15:51.200 And we recognize that.
00:15:52.240 Yeah.
00:15:52.500 Okay.
00:15:52.940 Very good.
00:15:53.400 So what is the intent?
00:15:54.820 I'm here today just to observe your service.
00:15:56.940 Okay.
00:15:57.180 And just to observe the compliance with the orders.
00:16:00.800 What's your name, sir?
00:16:02.060 My name is Dragon.
00:16:03.380 Dragon?
00:16:03.980 Okay.
00:16:04.680 My name is Rob.
00:16:05.600 Nice to meet you.
00:16:06.260 Nice to meet you.
00:16:06.740 Nice to meet you.
00:16:07.400 Yeah.
00:16:08.380 So there's no other intent.
00:16:10.420 Yeah.
00:16:11.020 No, but again, with that intent, it will interrupt our worship service.
00:16:15.180 We don't have intent to interrupt your service like we will.
00:16:18.140 I think there's nothing inside that you're going to see that you can't see clearly from
00:16:24.460 out here with the amount of cars in the parking lot.
00:16:27.500 So again, I would ask, why do you need to be in the building versus what you've seen with
00:16:31.720 the amount of people that have come into our building from outside?
00:16:34.680 I would need to observe your compliance in the same capacity.
00:16:40.080 I think you can count just by counting the cars, you can tell we're not compliant.
00:16:43.000 And so that's why I'm saying you can't move in.
00:16:44.880 Compliance with masking and physical distancing.
00:16:47.160 And again, I would say with witnessing people that are, you know, that have stent, stood outside
00:16:51.520 and people over there you can witness without coming into the building, that same thing.
00:16:56.480 I would rather observe from your side, rather than just assume that that's what I'm going
00:17:01.760 to say.
00:17:01.980 Well, no, you're not assuming because you can see there's people not social distancing in
00:17:05.180 the parking lot.
00:17:05.360 And you can see the cars.
00:17:06.080 And you can count the cars in the parking lot.
00:17:07.400 There's no assumptions.
00:17:08.520 There's no assumptions there.
00:17:09.640 And with your own testimony, and they're witnessing that, you don't need to come inside
00:17:14.060 the building.
00:17:16.280 Another thing is, under the Public Health Act, we have the right to enter at any reasonable
00:17:20.980 time, any place of business?
00:17:23.360 Under the Health Act, you do, but not under the Criminal Code 176.
00:17:26.360 Under the Public Health Act.
00:17:27.060 Yeah, which doesn't override.
00:17:28.320 So I think based on what I've said, being reasonable, you can observe everything you need
00:17:33.020 to outside the building.
00:17:33.940 And that way you don't interrupt our service and you still get your observations.
00:17:37.440 And I think that's still factual because, like I said, any amount of, if there's more
00:17:41.800 than 93 vehicles in this parking lot, the vehicles don't drive themselves.
00:17:45.040 So therefore, it's reasonable to assume that there's 93 people minimum.
00:17:48.840 Again, again, we can't assume.
00:17:50.500 So at the end of the day, the Public Health Act says we have access to go in the building.
00:17:53.820 If you don't want us to go in the building, that's fine.
00:17:55.580 But you're accepting the fact you're denying us access to the building.
00:17:58.120 Okay?
00:17:58.500 So if you deny access to the building, there's potential for criminal charges or potential for
00:18:02.020 additional charges.
00:18:03.000 Yeah.
00:18:03.200 So that being said, we're going to respect the fact that you guys don't want us to go to the
00:18:05.780 church, we're not going to go into the church, we're going to stay outside, and we'll observe
00:18:09.920 the numbers as it goes.
00:18:10.500 Okay, thank you.
00:18:11.520 Okay?
00:18:11.860 So there's no further interaction.
00:18:14.180 Yeah.
00:18:14.860 Thank you.
00:18:15.460 Are you satisfied with that?

00:23:08.720 Hi Arthur.
00:23:09.720 I wonder if I can just give you a couple of keys for the court order.
00:23:13.720 This is for you.
00:23:14.720 It basically outlines that we have the right to enter today.
00:23:19.720 What I would really...
00:23:20.720 Please.
00:23:21.720 You don't have to get into my personal space.
00:23:22.720 Thank you.
00:23:23.720 Well you're in my personal space so...
00:23:24.720 Can I explain to you Arthur?
00:23:25.720 I'm not really interested in what you have to say.
00:23:26.720 Can I explain to you?
00:23:27.720 Can I explain to you?
00:23:28.720 I'm reading.
00:23:29.720 Okay.
00:23:30.720 Okay.
00:23:31.720 What we want to do is make sure that we're not going to disrupt anything under the service.
00:23:32.720 The idea is...
00:23:33.720 This is...
00:23:34.720 You have a wrong.
00:23:35.720 This is not street church.
00:23:36.720 Um...
00:23:37.720 I'm reading.
00:23:38.720 Okay.
00:23:39.720 Okay.
00:23:40.720 The...
00:23:41.720 What we want to do is make sure that we're not going to disrupt anything under the service.
00:23:44.720 The idea is...
00:23:45.720 This is...
00:23:46.720 You have a wrong.
00:23:47.720 This is not street church.
00:23:48.720 Um...
00:23:49.720 This is not street church.
00:23:50.720 You have a wrong...
00:23:51.720 Okay.
00:23:52.720 Both...
00:23:53.720 Both...
00:23:54.720 Both...
00:23:55.720 Both things are actually on there.
00:23:56.720 Both churches are detailed on there.
00:23:57.720 Both churches are detailed on there.
00:23:58.720 So if we could come and...
00:23:59.720 The cave of Adullam is not...
00:24:02.720 It's not a registered...
00:24:05.720 Organization.
00:24:06.720 And this is not street church.
00:24:07.720 So you have a wrong.
00:24:08.720 You gotta do your homework first before you come.
00:24:11.720 Okay?
00:24:12.720 You have a wrong...
00:24:13.720 You have a wrong organization.
00:24:15.720 Okay.
00:24:16.720 Yeah.
00:24:17.720 I will send it to you by email too if you'd like.
00:24:19.720 I just wanted to be able to come today and then at least explain the order.
00:24:22.720 Serve the order.
00:24:23.720 And then we can stand at the back.
00:24:24.720 No, you can contact...
00:24:25.720 We can stand at the back.
00:24:26.720 No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:24:27.720 You can contact my lawyer.
00:24:28.720 Okay?
00:24:29.720 My lawyer takes care of this.
00:24:30.720 And then we can be out there.
00:24:31.720 I'm not interested to listen to any word you have to say.
00:24:34.720 I do not cooperate with the Gestapo.
00:24:36.720 I do not talk to the Nazis.
00:24:38.720 You came in your uniforms like thugs.
00:24:41.720 That's what you are.
00:24:42.720 Brown shirts of Adolf Hitler.
00:24:44.720 You are Nazi, Gestapo, Communist, Fascist.
00:24:48.720 I do not cooperate with Nazis.
00:24:51.720 Talk to my lawyer.
00:24:52.720 You're not allowed here.
00:24:54.720 You're not welcomed here.
00:24:55.720 And I'm not going to cooperate with Gestapo like you.
00:25:00.720 Okay?
00:25:01.720 So is that fair enough for you?
00:25:02.720 Talk to my lawyer.
00:25:03.720 Talk to my lawyer.
00:25:04.720 I just wanted to explain a little bit about the order.
00:25:06.720 I'm not interested.
00:25:07.720 I just wanted to at least have a conversation.
00:25:08.720 I'm not interested in talking.
00:25:10.720 You see, this is what the Gestapo is doing.
00:25:13.720 You're coming to the place of worship to intimidate and to harass.
00:25:20.720 So you can make an appointment.
00:25:22.720 Lady, listen to me.
00:25:23.720 You can make an appointment.
00:25:25.720 Another day.
00:25:27.720 Your Gestapo.
00:25:28.720 Another day.
00:25:30.720 Not this day.
00:25:33.720 Not this day.
00:25:35.720 Not during the church.
00:25:37.720 You understand?
00:25:39.720 Make an appointment.
00:25:42.720 Okay?
00:25:43.720 So go.
00:25:44.720 See you later on.
00:25:45.720 Have a good day.
00:25:47.720 You are sick.
00:25:50.720 That's what you are.
00:25:52.720 For laughter.
00:25:54.720 Family.
00:25:55.720 Coming together.
00:25:57.720 Worshipping our God.
00:25:58.720 Freedom.
00:25:59.720 Look.
00:26:00.720 Those people are not slaves.
00:26:01.720 They're free.
00:26:02.720 Those people are free.
00:26:05.720 I want you to be free.
00:26:07.720 Don't allow them to put shackles on you, muzzles on you, leash on you.
00:26:14.720 Be free.
00:26:15.720 Be happy.
00:26:16.720 Enjoy life.
00:26:17.720 You only have one life.
00:26:19.720 Enjoy it.
00:26:20.720 Well, we're Walk for Freedom.
00:26:22.720 We're doing a big rally today later on and we support Art.
00:26:25.720 He's our brother in arms here against the corruption and the fraud that's going on.
00:26:30.720 We're here to help the people understand what's really going on.
00:26:33.720 And what that is is that the government is not giving evidence about the facts.
00:26:37.720 What they're doing is they're lying to the people and that's why we're here in force.
00:26:41.720 Pastor Art does the real stuff.
00:26:45.720 He's not a fake person.
00:26:47.720 He knows the laws.
00:26:48.720 He knows the truth.
00:26:49.720 And, you know, if people are offended by that, well, so be it.
00:26:52.720 Because the Bible says, you know, the truth is offensive.
00:26:55.720 So if you're offended by this, sorry.
00:26:57.720 Sorry, not sorry, really.
00:26:59.720 Because, you know, we're doing what the Lord has told us to.
00:27:03.720 And, you know, my belief is that if I'm wrong about my faith, I've wasted my life.
00:27:09.720 But if they're wrong about my faith, they've wasted their eternity.
00:27:13.720 I came down after following the story for a number of months now.
00:27:17.720 And myself, I support the preservation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
00:27:22.720 And I don't care what your religious stripe is, but you do have the fundamental right to practice your religion.
00:27:29.720 It's nice to have everyone come together.
00:27:31.720 Yes, a faith community, but there are people amongst even a gathering like this that may be struggling emotionally and mentally.
00:27:40.720 And suicide is at an all-time high right now.
00:27:43.720 It's very high.
00:27:44.720 And so by gathering together, we can show compassion.
00:27:47.720 We can encourage each other.
00:27:49.720 And by doing that, someone has hope.
00:27:52.720 And that's the reason for the church.
00:27:54.720 Yes, to share the love of Jesus, but with that love comes hope.
00:27:58.720 It's love and hope and a future and encouragement and don't give up.
00:28:03.720 I'm absolutely deeply touched by the response of the people.
00:28:08.720 I think if every pastor, every clergyman would rise up and come out.
00:28:14.720 If we cannot worship inside, let's have the biggest worship services outdoors all over this country.
00:28:21.720 I mean, let the revolution begin.
00:28:25.720 Let the fight for the freedom begin.
00:28:28.720 13 months, enough is enough.
00:28:30.720 We're moving forward and let's push as hard as we can right now.
00:28:34.720 And let's dethrone those pharaohs of the land.
00:28:37.720 And let's place freedom lovers, freedom fighters at the parliament, at our city halls and on our legislature buildings.
00:28:46.720 That's why they're here.
00:28:47.720 They're not here for freedom.
00:28:49.720 They hate freedom.
00:28:51.720 They hate everything that is just and holy.
00:28:55.720 That's why they're here.
00:28:57.720 But we're not going to give more attention to the hyenas.
00:29:02.720 We eat hyenas for breakfast.
00:29:05.720 We are a pack of lions.
00:29:17.720 And lions never bow before the hyenas.
00:29:21.720 Please take care to the circadian gods.
00:29:22.720 Finally, two weeks later.
00:29:23.720 Lastly, let's go on, sweetie.
00:29:24.720 30 cents.
00:29:25.720 You're not recording.
00:29:27.720 It's back.
00:29:28.720 Radio command room.
00:29:29.720 No, my excuse.
00:29:30.720 You're nuts.
00:29:31.720 You're nuts.
00:29:32.720 If you're nuts.
00:29:35.720 You're nuts.
00:29:36.720 You're nuts.
00:29:37.720 You can stop.
00:29:38.720 Hello friends, this is Pastor Arthur Pawlowski.
00:29:40.720 If you're watching this video, that means they have successfully arrested me, and I am in jail.
00:29:47.720 would like to support me if you like to support rebel news and the legal team that is trying
00:29:53.760 their best to get me out of this trouble please go to safearthur.com please donate please help
00:30:00.760 help me help my family help my wife and my children to get me out of this horrible illegal
00:30:08.680 situation please go to safearthur.com and get me out of this if you can hello arthur how are you
00:30:16.160 doing hey adam you missed you missed yesterday i know we uh we we just got the news right after
00:30:23.760 um a colleague happened to pull up right after it happened so we're uh we've been keeping up to date
00:30:29.680 over a million people have viewed the video of your arrest already wow wow well here's what happened
00:30:37.020 after the video i i was thrown like a piece of meat behind the police uh vehicles and i had to
00:30:45.900 go for about an hour hour and a half back of police car uh laying down on my and my handcuffs
00:30:54.500 almost broke my uh my shoulder um so that was until we got to uh spy hill then of course the processing
00:31:05.900 unit uh with my brother we were taken to two different separate cells uh they're not allowing
00:31:12.140 us to sleep so 24 hours i can't sleep the lights are so bright it's absolutely crazy even though other
00:31:19.900 inmates for example across from my cell um they turn the lights off and he could go to sleep i don't have that
00:31:28.300 same courtesy um we do not have blankets we do not have pillows nothing uh we had to spend the whole day
00:31:39.660 yesterday and the whole night and half a day right now on a concrete called concrete so that's the
00:31:46.300 situation here um i was never contacted by a lawyer yeah it's it's shocking at the treatment i'm being
00:31:55.660 viewed here as a monkey in the circus from time to time police will come and just look through the
00:32:00.940 window or you know like a trophy uh but i'm in a good spirit i'm not going to quit i it will not silence
00:32:08.860 me i'll keep doing what i'm doing because if i don't have freedom then i have nothing else if we don't
00:32:15.900 have freedom to worship our god then what else do we have all the rides around the world if you don't have
00:32:22.940 the freedom of religion all the other rights are disappearing as well we have to stand up and christians
00:32:29.180 rise up stand up right now i mean if not now then when i know that some people don't like me and i
00:32:35.260 say quite often don't like me i'm not here to win a popularity contest but i'm a pastor that is feeding
00:32:41.420 the poor for 22 years without charging money for taxpayers without asking for anything in return
00:32:49.500 and i also pastor another church and people come freely i don't force anyone to come and listen
00:32:55.100 people come because they're adults and they want to come and for that terrible crime i was handcuffed
00:33:00.780 the raft thrown like a piece of meat behind the police van and taken to jail where i am i'm standing
00:33:11.260 because i can't even sit anymore you know how long can you sit and lay on the concrete so i'm walking
00:33:17.020 around the cell waiting for my release so i can file my lawsuits against those people because that's
00:33:24.220 what i want the next i want to start going after those villains they're villains they're wicked evil
00:33:29.740 people what they're doing is evil i think jason kenya have become his political prisoner because he's
00:33:38.060 afraid of the movement we have now thousands of people rising up we have 11 candidates in our own
00:33:43.980 church and more more are coming i think they're afraid that we're going to clean the corruption
00:33:51.180 they're so corrupted and we are talking about corruption and he decided to arrest me as a political
00:33:56.940 prisoner to silence me but i think the more people will see what's going on the more people will rise up
00:34:03.420 and we'll have more candidates and we need to clean our political system we need to clean the corruption
00:34:08.700 we have to make those people accountable again we have to bring back the recoil the real recall so
00:34:15.020 people can recall their politicians we have to bring back the referendum so people have backed their voice
00:34:21.260 so they will feel included in the main key decision making not right like we have right now few people
00:34:28.620 are deciding how we are to live and how we are to die that's unacceptable i know that there are many
00:34:33.580 canadians that want their country back as well any final word before you head back into your jail cell
00:34:41.980 well i want to tell you jesus wins in the end and when we stand with him that's where i draw my hope
00:34:47.980 my my hope is in christ he redeemed me he saved me he changed the corrupted man into the man i am today
00:34:55.260 and i give him all the glory and if you are depressed or suicidal or in a tough situation
00:35:01.900 remember that god has your back and we know how the story ends truth wins in the end god bless you
00:35:08.860 thank you so much arthur palowski well there you have it in the end truth wins arthur palowski is

00:35:46.700 brother straight from church i did not eat since friday so we're looking forward to to be reunited with
00:35:53.820 our families and then we will have to start meeting with lawyers lawyers thank to rebel news lawyers
00:36:02.060 that are going to advise us what we can or we cannot how we should go from here because this is a fight
00:36:07.980 to the dead those people are not kidding they want us down they they want us destroyed behind the bars or
00:36:16.940 killed i mean there was no question the police roughed me up i had bruises for two days i still have
00:36:24.460 bruises you can you can still see which is uh well you know they're gone now which is quiet but you
00:36:32.300 you know it was pretty bad it was pretty bad the same with my left my left yeah they they threw me uh
00:36:38.620 they threw me behind the police like a piece of meat face head down feet up so uh for an hour i was
00:36:47.340 i was almost upside down sitting on my hands on and the handcuffs if you ever been arrested
00:36:53.740 and the way they put the handcuffs on you know that's extremely extremely painful those wannabe nazis
00:37:01.980 they know how to hurt you if they want to and they did their best well for over a year i have been
00:37:09.340 telling people about the overreach about abuse of power about harassment intimidation medical tyranny
00:37:18.140 because that's what we are witnessing right now it's a hybrid between fascism and communism it's
00:37:23.660 something totally new medical tyranny that uses the armed forces of the government and the political power
00:37:30.220 we were political prisoners for 53 hours i mean i'll never imagine that i would be living again in
00:37:37.740 the country where pastors out of all the villains on the planet are pastors will be arrested in the
00:37:45.020 middle of the highway not for planning terrorist attack not for looking to hurt people but because
00:37:55.180 we opened the church and we were singing songs and praying for people i mean this is absolute insanity
00:38:02.380 adam so is here for rebel news with a troubling update pastor tim stevens of fairview baptist church
00:38:09.100 has been arrested for proceeding with worship today for those of you not familiar with pastor
00:38:15.420 tim stevens he's nothing like pastor arthur pawlowski he's a quiet reserved man who is simply leading his
00:38:21.740 congregation in worship he didn't make this a large political deal he wasn't an outspoken opponent to
00:38:27.580 the authorities he simply wanted to proceed with worship well in alberta in this day and age apparently
00:38:33.980 that is not to be tolerated so he was cornered today after worship by a large police force he and his family
00:38:41.900 i just got off the line with our videographer k2 who was on the scene and he told me it was the hardest
00:38:47.340 thing he has ever seen the family of pastors tim stevens was weeping as he was hauled away in cuffs like
00:38:53.660 some common this is a devastating and heartbreaking development that is three pastors arrested in
00:39:01.100 alberta absolutely unbelievable
00:39:22.460 do you have any questions about what's going on
00:39:23.820 don't we have any questions about what the linkedin was
00:39:53.820 We can take a cell phone and he can go access to his phone numbers when he says, if he likes.
00:40:11.820 No, not while he's in the holiday places.
00:40:16.820 I have James Kitchen's number.
00:40:20.820 If he wants to take his phone, that's absolutely, we can take it with him.
00:40:34.820 Protect and serve, right?
00:40:37.820 Adam Sos here for Rebel News and I'm here with Pastor Tim Stephens, fresh off his release from the Romand Centre in Calgary.
00:40:43.820 I thought we'd just take a minute to maybe chat. Most people maybe haven't gotten a chance to know you yet,
00:40:48.820 and they've just seen sort of the footage of you being cornered and arrested.
00:40:51.820 So maybe you could just give us a quick little update about sort of how you became the pastor of Fairview,
00:40:56.820 your history in Calgary and just kind of an update on who you are.
00:41:00.820 Yeah, I grew up in a farming community in Eastern Ontario and came out to Calgary after university just for a job here.
00:41:07.820 And I actually wasn't a Christian at the time and worked here in the oil and gas field as an engineer, as a software developer.
00:41:13.820 And someone actually sent me a Christian sermon.
00:41:17.820 And that began the thinking process of me and my wife that led to our conversion in 2008.
00:41:22.820 And just wanted to know more about God and about the Lord Jesus Christ.
00:41:27.820 And so I went off to seminary for three years and then back to Calgary in 2014 to be a pastor.
00:41:32.820 And so I've been at Fairview Baptist Church as a pastor since 2014.
00:41:36.820 And then you mentioned you're a wife. So I gather you have a rather large family.
00:41:40.820 I think I saw them in the footage there.
00:41:42.820 Yes, my wife and we have eight young children from 12 down to a few months old.
00:41:47.820 And so you can imagine we love children.
00:41:49.820 And of course, the scriptures put a high value on family.
00:41:52.820 And so it's a joy to be a father and a pastor and a husband.
00:41:56.820 Wonderful. Great.
00:41:57.820 So now we can get into sort of the less the less pleasant details.
00:42:00.820 Maybe we actually met a week prior to your rest and worship on Sunday at Fairview Baptist Church here in Calgary.
00:42:06.820 And you suspected that there was a chance that you might actually be arrested that day.
00:42:11.820 I know you were kind of getting ready for that.
00:42:13.820 But that didn't happen.
00:42:14.820 But maybe we can talk a little bit about the context.
00:42:16.820 What worship has been like under these COVID restrictions?
00:42:19.820 And what led you to the decision to remain open despite the restrictions?
00:42:23.820 Yeah.
00:42:24.820 Well, the restrictions have fluctuated over this past year.
00:42:27.820 But we as a congregation together have made the decision that when it comes to commands that were given by the state
00:42:34.820 that conflict or contradict the commands we have from God's word, that we will obey God rather than men.
00:42:40.820 And so we gave much deference to our government at the start of this pandemic.
00:42:44.820 But as things didn't materialize the way they said it was,
00:42:47.820 we figured it was more important to worship Christ the way that he's called us to worship.
00:42:51.820 And so we started gathering again to worship last May.
00:42:54.820 And we've been doing so.
00:42:55.820 And we've been free from infections or outbreaks or sicknesses in our church.
00:42:59.820 And as restrictions have gotten tighter and tighter, of course, that has put more pressure upon us as a congregation.
00:43:04.820 I've received a number of tickets and court summons, but we felt it was still important to obey the Lord Jesus Christ.
00:43:11.820 And it's been a sweet time of worship and fellowship together.
00:43:14.820 More people have flocked to our church during this time because whether their churches are closed or for different reasons,
00:43:21.820 even people who don't believe in God have been coming to be part of what we were doing.
00:43:26.820 And so it's been a real treasure and a real joy.
00:43:29.820 Now, most recently, the restrictions are down just to 15 people.
00:43:32.820 So essentially churches are closed and you have to do online.
00:43:36.820 But that wouldn't be faithful to what God has called us to do.
00:43:39.820 And on May 6, there was a broad injunction across our province,
00:43:44.820 essentially implicating every Albertan who is going to have an illegal gathering.
00:43:48.820 Just it's an incredible overreach by our government to do such a thing.
00:43:53.820 And so we knew that the heat was turning up.
00:43:55.820 But yet the fact that the consequences were rising and an arrest could be possible for myself.
00:44:02.820 The consequences don't change our convictions.
00:44:05.820 Our convictions are still the church must gather to be the church.
00:44:08.820 And we still must worship Christ the way he's called us to worship.
00:44:11.820 And so it made it difficult.
00:44:13.820 But at the end, our decision was still we must gather.
00:44:16.820 So on that note, you mentioned that more people have been flogging to the church.
00:44:19.820 It's a pattern we've noticed.
00:44:20.820 People are seeking Christian principle worship.
00:44:23.820 Pastor Arthur Pawlowski said that he might have 12, 20, 30 people that he worshiped with at street church join him for worship on Saturday.
00:44:31.820 Now you're seeing hundreds gathering.
00:44:33.820 Pastor James Coates is in a similar situation where more people are flogging to him.
00:44:37.820 Have you been in communication with the other pastors who've also been arrested for continuing with worship?
00:44:42.820 I've been a friend of James Coates even before all this.
00:44:47.820 We were acquaintances.
00:44:48.820 But our friendship has grown through this time as we've kind of have the exact same convictions about the church.
00:44:54.820 And as we've walked through this journey and the threats of enforcement that have come against us.
00:44:59.820 And so our friendship has really, really grown through this time.
00:45:02.820 So we can get down to the arrest, I suppose, what actually went down that day.
00:45:09.820 First off, though, you talked about the increasing pressure on the church.
00:45:13.820 And it's come out very recently that apparently Tyler Shandro specifically instructed that specific people who are considered high profile offenders be targeted.
00:45:21.820 Have you felt that there's been a targeted persecution against you or other Christian pastors specifically?
00:45:26.820 What's sort of your impression on what's been going on?
00:45:29.820 What's interesting is there's been a few voices that have been vocal against us, whether that's on Twitter or in the media.
00:45:35.820 But for the most part, what we've heard from people in the community and from people who've been contacting our church is mostly positive.
00:45:43.820 People are very supportive of what we're doing. And so it's been it's been difficult that way in knowing that there are a few but very powerful people who stand against us.
00:45:53.820 But yet you have a wide base of support among Albertans in general.
00:45:57.820 And we are our church at Fairview is is right in Minister Shandro's writing.
00:46:02.820 And so I've written to him many times. I've written to the premier over this last year.
00:46:07.820 But but all of the correspondence has essentially gone unanswered, just just simple emails back.
00:46:13.820 Basically, here are the guidelines you need to comply.
00:46:16.820 And it seems I've noticed even talking to Pastor Arter that they seem to offer all of branches when they know they won't be received.
00:46:23.820 And then yourself and James Coates have both sort of endeavored to have these communications with the government and they've gone unanswered.
00:46:29.820 So that's extremely problematic. All this pressure, of course, culminated on Sunday after worship.
00:46:35.820 And we saw the sort of daunting footage of police corning your family.
00:46:38.820 Maybe you could just tell us what that experience was like for you.
00:46:41.820 Yeah, it was it was a bit of a shock because what happened earlier that week, in fact, the previous Sunday, the police came, I believe, to serve me the injunction.
00:46:50.820 But they actually gave it to somebody else. I found out later.
00:46:53.820 So I had never seen that copy of the injunction.
00:46:56.820 But then as the week developed, the Justice Center of Constitutional Freedoms, which represents myself and James Coates, they went to court and essentially had that.
00:47:06.820 At least the intention was to have that restraining order or that court injunction narrowed down just to be the whistle stop and those connected with the whistle stop.
00:47:14.820 And so going into Sunday, we thought this is going to be a Sunday where we'll be free from any harassment from the authorities.
00:47:20.820 And so we had a great time of worship and fellowship together as a church.
00:47:24.820 And then in the parking lot afterwards, the police were still around but hadn't come out of their vehicles.
00:47:29.820 We weren't sure what they're there to do.
00:47:31.820 And I got a phone call from a sergeant who was back in an office somewhere saying, you know, Pastor Stevens, you will be arrested today.
00:47:37.820 And he wanted my my wife and my children to leave for their sake.
00:47:41.820 And I said, no, I prefer to have my wife and children here.
00:47:45.820 And he was very insistent that they ought to leave.
00:47:48.820 And so he let me talk to my wife for a bit. He said, I'll phone you back in a few minutes.
00:47:51.820 And so I went and told my wife, he says, well, I'm not leaving.
00:47:54.820 And so he called back and I said, no, my family is going to stay here.
00:47:58.820 And I think it it wasn't necessarily that they were concerned about the trauma to the children.
00:48:03.820 I think they were concerned about the image that would be upon the Calgary police.
00:48:06.820 And I've I've pleaded with some of the officers.
00:48:09.820 I know the Calgary Police Service is recognized as a great police service and to see the things that are going on today.
00:48:16.820 I'm just hoping that it doesn't ruin their reputation, you know, for a long time that they're part of of, you know, ripping a father away from his family and his eight children who are in tears.
00:48:26.820 Because I held a church service and brought me to the remand center where I spent, you know, two nights there when when there's been no harm done from our church to the community.
00:48:38.820 There was no crime. There was nothing deserving of jail. And yet they would be part of that.
00:48:43.820 It's it's it's really unjust.
00:48:45.820 Well, and particularly the show of force, if an officer walked up to you and said you're under arrest, you wouldn't fight them.
00:48:51.820 You're a peaceful man. You follow the example of Christ in that instance, two SWAT vehicles and five SUVs and helicopters flying overhead.
00:48:59.820 I mean, in all these cases, there's been a clearly disproportionate show of force as though they're attempting to make an example of you.
00:49:05.820 So I appreciate that. I know lots of officers are struggling with this. Lots of Calgary police are having a tough time enforcing these measures.
00:49:12.820 But one of the other concerns that other pastors have mentioned was the treatment once actually in jail.
00:49:17.820 So if you can tell us about what your experience was actually like at court and then and then actually being placed in prison for leading worship.
00:49:23.820 Yeah, the difficult thing about going to to jail and specifically the remand center, because I was held in a in a in a holding cell at the police station for a few hours before going to remand.
00:49:35.820 And remand is a maximum security prison.
00:49:38.820 And so whether you're a pastor going to church or whether you're a ruthless murderer, you're in the same spot and you're treated the exact same way.
00:49:47.820 And so whether that's a strip search, whether that's being held in shackles, all of that is is is part of it.
00:49:53.820 The most most difficult thing about it is when you're in there and especially even because of covid, you have so little contact with your lawyers or with those on the outside.
00:50:03.820 And so going in even into my hearing on Monday, I asked the remand center and then again at the courthouse to speak to my lawyer.
00:50:10.820 But because of covid, my lawyer wasn't actually there and there was no way to communicate.
00:50:14.820 And some of the guards weren't that helpful.
00:50:18.820 And so I went into that that trial or that hearing without even being able to contact my lawyer beforehand.
00:50:24.820 So I just felt like this was just adding to the injustice of it that they would put me there.
00:50:29.820 And then that I would really have no no way to to vocalize to my legal defense, you know, what we should be doing as we stand before that judge.
00:50:37.820 And you're not the first person. Numerous pastors have had avoided a day to speak to their lawyer, which is an extremely concerning thing to consider.
00:50:46.820 As far as your experience, you have a right to talk to your lawyer and they grant that to the most extreme criminals and thugs.
00:50:52.820 And here a pastor can't even speak to his lawyer to decide how to go forward.
00:50:55.820 Maybe talk now about your experience within remand, actually what that was like for you.
00:51:00.820 Yeah, well, they they asked if I what section of remand I wanted to go in.
00:51:05.820 There's a few different options and I didn't really know. I've never been any experience being in prison before.
00:51:09.820 And so I was put into general population, which is essentially, you know, there is there is a pod with a few tables and then cells on a lower level and an upper level.
00:51:19.820 And so I was placed on a cell in the upper level and I had a roommate.
00:51:22.820 And because we were we were, you know, new to the remand center, both of us, we were on quarantine because of as a covid.
00:51:30.820 And so if I was to stay there for any length of time, essentially you get half hour out of your cell and during that day.
00:51:37.820 And so once you're in there, at least at least in the remand, you had you had a few blankets and a thin pad to sleep on.
00:51:43.820 The holding cells didn't have any of those those luxuries.
00:51:46.820 But so you essentially were there in your room.
00:51:50.820 And another another challenge of being in remand is there's not really instructions or an awareness of really what's going on.
00:51:59.820 And so essentially you just wait for someone to tell you what to do.
00:52:02.820 And then you hope that what you've done is not the wrong thing to do.
00:52:06.820 And so you kind of just muddle your way around trying to figure out when is it time to go or when they're going to bring food or when you can call.
00:52:14.820 And so that was part of the challenge is not knowing what's going on.
00:52:17.820 And so as a Christian, you're prepared and willing to face those consequences for your faith.
00:52:22.820 But did you ever think that in Canada, in Calgary, in this this hub of freedom, strong and free, you'd be you'd be stuck in such a situation just for living out your faith?
00:52:30.820 No, it is. It is really incredible to believe this has happened here in Calgary, here in Alberta.
00:52:36.820 I know other pastors across this country and they had always viewed Alberta as like the land of the free, that if it got too bad in their province, that they would come to Alberta to a place of freedom.
00:52:48.820 And then to know that here in Alberta, they've jailed now three pastors and this is not over yet.
00:52:53.820 I don't imagine this is going to end anytime soon.
00:52:56.820 There's been a real real change and shift in the political landscape, even among conservatives about the role of the government and about the use of force and enforcement.
00:53:05.820 And so I'm continually shocked that I'm in this place as a pastor seeking to to care for my flock and care for my family.
00:53:13.820 You know, Jason Kenney mentioned in his victory speech that Alberta is an idea where where responsibility is given to the people rather than an impersonal bureaucratic state.
00:53:23.820 And what we're seeing now is an impersonal bureaucratic state, you know, govern the life of my family to tell me who I can have in my home, actually forbid anybody from coming in my home where I ought to go, forbidding or restricting what we do as a church to worship.
00:53:38.820 And so these are clear violations of not only the scriptures, but they're clear violations of our charter rights and freedoms.
00:53:45.820 And they've been continuing month after month after month.
00:53:48.820 There's no recourse. The courts are so slow. Our politicians are not answering.
00:53:53.820 And so what recourse do we have but to continue to live our lives as peacefully and as best that we can in the face of such, you know, really a totalitarian kind of government that is encroaching upon the citizens of Alberta.
00:54:08.820 And it's incredible. I can't believe it.
00:54:10.820 So in the face of all this, I think most pastors have sent some sort of message to Jason Kenney, and it seems that he's not listening.
00:54:17.820 So I'll ask you instead for a final remark to your fellow Christians throughout the province.
00:54:22.820 To my fellow Christians, I would just encourage them to obey Christ first and foremost.
00:54:29.820 I know a lot of Christians have given much deference to the government as month and month has gone by.
00:54:35.820 But I would encourage you to where is that line before you must say, no, I will obey Christ here.
00:54:41.820 I will practice hospitality. I will go and I'll practice the ordinances.
00:54:45.820 I will gather together as the church.
00:54:47.820 There has to be some kind of line in our mind.
00:54:49.820 Otherwise, that line will keep on shifting as the government keeps on moving their goalposts.
00:54:53.820 And we're never going to stand for the Lord Jesus Christ.
00:54:55.820 I wouldn't be in this situation if the church in this province was more united on this front.
00:55:02.820 This could have been over a long time ago.
00:55:03.820 These restrictions could have been done for the people of Alberta and not just Christians a long time ago if we would just stand together.
00:55:09.820 We've seen that in other places of the world.
00:55:11.820 If we just stay and say, no, this is our freedom.
00:55:13.820 This is our responsibility and we're going to live our lives.
00:55:16.820 The government doesn't have the power to throw us all in jail.
00:55:18.820 Warning. Censorship. Warning. Censorship.
00:55:22.820 I have a valid court order here today requiring the sheriff, that's me, and the assistance of the police to vacate everyone from the building and we will be locking the building.
00:55:36.820 Historic moment, folks. Historic moment. It's very historic.
00:55:42.820 What's happening here right now, you would have never thought, you would have never thought that this country could so fast slide into something like this.
00:55:50.820 Young people, what you're seeing with your eyes here this morning, this is what happens.
00:55:54.820 This is what happens when you don't guard. This is what happens when you let those things slip.
00:55:59.820 Let's open up the businesses. Let's allow people to live and if there is an issue somewhere and if the virus is somewhere in an area, let's be careful.
00:56:09.820 We will isolate like we did here at the beginning when they said we need to flatten the curve, which probably now is one of the most popular words in the dictionary.
00:56:18.820 Flatten the curve. We did that. We closed down. But then very soon we found out there was something else behind it.
00:56:24.820 And I am standing up for humanity at the peril of my life, whatever it takes.
00:56:30.820 We have the Bible, like I said. We have the Charter. We have the Bill of Rights. We have the Criminal Code. What else do I need?
00:56:38.820 Let us just be real Canadians. Like the Honourable Diefenbaker said, let us be free Canadians. Let's worship God.
00:56:45.820 Let the people worship God, those that want to worship God. And let the businesses open up. Let the families live. Don't torture them any longer.
00:56:52.820 David Menzies for Rebel News here in Elmer, Ontario. And folks, I'm once again back at the Church of God.
00:57:04.820 As you might notice, its sign has been vandalized by the oh-so-tolerant pro-lockdown people.
00:57:12.820 And I regret to inform you that the Church of God on Friday, well, a judge agreed that it was time to put new locks on the exterior doors of the church.
00:57:29.820 This is for allegedly continually violating the COVID-19 orders.
00:57:35.820 Along with that order came fines of $117,000, including legal fees, to this church.
00:57:44.820 And no, the church does not have that kind of money laying around in the collection plate.
00:57:50.820 But as they say in show business, the show, or in this case the service, must go on.
00:57:57.820 People are going to congregate outside.
00:58:00.820 We're going to be here with Pastor Henry Hildebrandt.
00:58:02.820 He is not bending the knee.
00:58:04.820 It is a beautiful spring day.
00:58:06.820 And one wonders what the next step is.
00:58:10.820 You know that the haters will be here.
00:58:13.820 The mainstream media, which in turn hates this church, they'll be here.
00:58:18.820 Law enforcement will be here.
00:58:20.820 The counter-protesters will be here.
00:58:23.820 And I know this will be a fantastic sermon today.
00:58:27.820 I just wonder what the next step will be when it comes to trying to shut down Pastor Hildebrandt and the Church of God.
00:58:38.820 In the meantime, let's see what the pastor has to say to his congregation.
00:58:43.820 I would like to take this opportunity and go worldwide and say, man, let's be real, man.
00:58:55.820 Let's lead.
00:58:57.820 Let's lead again like it should be.
00:59:00.820 Let's lead.
00:59:02.820 Let's lead our families in a safe way.
00:59:05.820 Let's be what we need to be.
00:59:07.820 Now we are seeing the people are waking up fast and saying, what is going on?
00:59:17.820 I'm so sorry having to say it like this.
00:59:20.820 We are making a mockery out of our law system.
00:59:24.820 Our governments presently allow unelected health officials to force our judges to turn law-abiding citizens into criminals.
00:59:39.820 I can't wait for the day.
00:59:40.820 I can't wait for the day.
00:59:41.820 I can't wait for the day.
00:59:42.820 I can't wait for the day where one of our premiers will rise up and act burly.
00:59:46.820 Can't wait for one of them to get up and say enough is enough.
00:59:56.820 Well, folks, I'm with Pastor Henry Hildebrandt.
01:00:00.820 First of all, Pastor, awesome service, very appreciative crowd.
01:00:05.820 I want to touch upon what you said at one point, which I think is so profound and is really the crux of the matter.
01:00:12.820 And that is we have a legion of unelected, non-accountable public health officials that are suddenly invested with powers that they never should have had,
01:00:27.820 including, in your case and in many others, going to a judge and getting your church, your place of worship locked down,
01:00:35.820 having locksmiths come in and lock you out of your own church.
01:00:38.820 How did we get to this point?
01:00:41.820 That's what struck me this week, and that's why I know those might be strong words,
01:00:46.820 but that's why I'm saying what else is it but medical dictatorship?
01:00:49.820 Because we have these unelected officials, like you said, we have them making a decision,
01:00:55.820 and our government who was elected to stand by the Constitution.
01:00:59.820 It's all pushed aside.
01:01:01.820 Like I said this morning, our scriptures versus scripture versus engraved in stone at the Peace Tower at Parliament.
01:01:07.820 We have 25 scriptures apparently there.
01:01:10.820 Where has that gone?
01:01:11.820 It's very, very, very troubling.
01:01:13.820 And then, like I said, when the health officials tell us what their proof is, it is no proof.
01:01:19.820 It is no proof because of what they're bringing forth.
01:01:23.820 The data they're bringing forth is not the cure that they are offering is way worse than the virus is.
01:01:31.820 Why is it that an outdoor religious gathering in Elmer, Ontario is offside,
01:01:37.820 but if these were Black Lives Matter demonstrators, the cops not only put their ticket books away,
01:01:43.820 they bend a knee in solidarity.
01:01:45.820 Right, exactly.
01:01:46.820 And none of us can help but to be reminded of that, what happened last year in the middle of the year
01:01:51.820 when those gatherings were taking place.
01:01:53.820 Why was that not an issue?
01:01:55.820 Why was that not an issue?
01:01:57.820 And why, if they said that these were super spreaders, if they were, why aren't they super spreaders?
01:02:03.820 I mean, we see the people in Montreal on the streets, we see them somewhere else,
01:02:07.820 and they have been in Toronto throughout the year.
01:02:09.820 Thousands of people, of course, they don't report that.
01:02:11.820 But I'm saying, why is there no super spreading?
01:02:14.820 I have come to the conclusion, I say, okay, if you want to call this a super spreader event,
01:02:18.820 it's spreading happiness.
01:02:20.820 It's spreading happiness and normalcy.
01:02:22.820 Yeah.
01:02:23.820 What is normal these days?
01:02:24.820 Indeed.
01:02:25.820 And another thing I want to touch upon, Pastor Hildebrand,
01:02:28.820 you were justifiably so, in my opinion, condemning the mainstream media.
01:02:34.820 And I think we have witnessed such egregious, unfair coverage of your situation.
01:02:41.820 I want to read the lead paragraph from the London Free Press about what happened on Friday.
01:02:46.820 Sure.
01:02:47.820 And it says, residents in this quaint town of 7,000 are reacting with relief after authorities padlocked the doors of the Church of God
01:02:58.820 over its ongoing defiance of COVID-19 restrictions.
01:03:02.820 This suggests to me, Pastor, that the people of Elmer go to bed shaking like a leaf,
01:03:07.820 thinking, oh my goodness, this Church of God, this super spreader event, it's going to bring death to us.
01:03:12.820 Is this reality?
01:03:14.820 So I'm saying, if that was relief, what they saw, how must they feel today?
01:03:19.820 Yeah.
01:03:20.820 Because here we are, and this is not the end of it.
01:03:22.820 This is not the end of it.
01:03:24.820 Actually, to be fair, and that is the biggest troublesome thing that we see today,
01:03:28.820 is that the media does not cover it, it's not the truth.
01:03:31.820 Because in order for them to tell the truth, they would have to say there is some residents in Elmer
01:03:37.820 that are against it, and there's many that are supporting it, or at least report the truth.
01:03:42.820 Tell the truth, because this does not tell the truth.
01:03:45.820 No, you're absolutely right.
01:03:46.820 I think maybe you should be the editor of the London Free Press.
01:03:49.820 Maybe we'd have more.
01:03:50.820 Well, before they send it out, before they send it out, let's just spread truth.
01:03:54.820 Let's just start spreading truth.
01:03:56.820 And why does the mainstream media not want to tell?
01:03:59.820 My question is, will you not tell, or why don't you tell when there's hundreds and thousands in the streets of Montreal?
01:04:06.820 Let us know at least what did they want?
01:04:09.820 What did the people want there?
01:04:10.820 But to me, this smells so bad when I see not a word is said.
01:04:16.820 But if there is two people, I'm sorry, but if there's two people that agree with Justin Trudeau, that makes world news.
01:04:22.820 Why?
01:04:23.820 Indeed.
01:04:24.820 Maybe it's because, Pastor, that the media is in the tank for the Liberal Party.
01:04:29.820 The CBC gets funded to the tune of $1.5 billion, $600 million for the newspapers.
01:04:35.820 Maclean's gets funded.
01:04:36.820 There's some other bailouts because they couldn't exist without that money.
01:04:39.820 So you've got to question, how can that not be a conflict of interest when the government is paying you for your journalism?
01:04:47.820 You're really going to be more of a watchdog than, say, a lapdog?
01:04:51.820 Exactly, exactly.
01:04:53.820 I think we have all seen very, very clearly that that is a problem.
01:04:57.820 They're paid by the government.
01:04:59.820 They are their little puppies going around just telling what they want them to tell,
01:05:04.820 recording what they want them to record, spreading what they want them to spread.
01:05:07.820 We need media that will tell the truth and tell the complete truth.
01:05:12.820 Tell us all what exactly is going on and listen to the people.
01:05:16.820 Listen to the people because the government, the Constitution was created for the people, not for the government.
01:05:24.820 So somebody needs to listen to the people and tell the government what the people are wanting.
01:05:31.820 And Pastor Gillibrand, the other question I have is what we see as an ongoing odious trend on war on religion.
01:05:40.820 And it's not just you.
01:05:41.820 Look what happened last week, that shameful and dangerous takedown of Pastor Arthur Pawlowski out in Calgary,
01:05:49.820 arrested on his knees on a wet highway that wasn't even closed.
01:05:53.820 There was no reason for that kind of street theatre.
01:05:56.820 He's not a violent man by any means.
01:05:58.820 Would you like to weigh in on how the Calgary police treated Arthur?
01:06:04.820 I think they're trying to make a case.
01:06:07.820 I think they're trying to say well let's treat this this way and hopefully this will scare every other pastor in the country.
01:06:13.820 Except that it does the exact opposite.
01:06:15.820 When we see that they treat somebody like that, I mean animal-like or I don't know what you want to call that.
01:06:21.820 But to drag somebody, I mean all it took is one little motorcycle to follow him to his home,
01:06:26.820 turn their little lights on and say Pastor we're giving you a ticket for this or we're arresting you or whatever.
01:06:32.820 But do you want to make a scene?
01:06:34.820 But you know what?
01:06:35.820 That scene has helped the Christians so very much across this world and not just the Christians.
01:06:41.820 People have woken up and say look because yesterday it was Adam Scali.
01:06:45.820 I'm saying figuratively speaking.
01:06:47.820 Yesterday was Adam Scali.
01:06:49.820 Today it's us.
01:06:50.820 Who is it tomorrow?
01:06:51.820 Tomorrow it's those people that today are mad that we're here.
01:06:54.820 So I'm saying people wake up, wake up because your rights are taken.
01:06:58.820 And Pastor Art was making an example for people to see look this is what happens when you do that.
01:07:05.820 But did it work?
01:07:06.820 No, it didn't.
01:07:07.820 And it has never worked.
01:07:09.820 When you oppress the people of God, it just, they just multiply.
01:07:13.820 You know I hope you're right.
01:07:14.820 You brought in the name Adam Scali of Adamson's Barbecue.
01:07:17.820 We were there for all three days in late November, Pastor.
01:07:20.820 And what we saw there, the mounted unit, it was literally all the king's horses and all the king's men coming in to shut him down.
01:07:29.820 He was also given a bill afterwards for the law enforcement cost, $187,000.
01:07:36.820 And to me, this was Dr. Eileen Davila, who I call the mayor.
01:07:42.820 I think John Tory's the deputy mayor.
01:07:43.820 I think she leads him around by the nose.
01:07:45.820 But I think that was her sending a message to all the other business people out there.
01:07:50.820 If you dare do what this guy's doing, how do you like showing up on the six o'clock news,
01:07:55.820 handcuffed and being thrown in a police cruiser?
01:07:57.820 And it might have worked because I've never seen any critical mass since then of businesses opening up.
01:08:02.820 Do you think this is another tactic of the government, of bureaucrats, of health officials,
01:08:09.820 and that is to use intimidation to scare people into complying?
01:08:14.820 Absolutely, absolutely.
01:08:16.820 And then, so they do that, they lock those doors, and then they add to that,
01:08:21.820 here's your fine, here's the church's fine, and you'll pay our lawyers.
01:08:26.820 I'm listening to it, and they're saying, okay, so the total comes to $117,000 that we're fining the church.
01:08:32.820 What else do you think that is but to intimidate the rest of the country?
01:08:36.820 What will happen? What will happen? I don't know.
01:08:38.820 We don't have $117,000, but let me tell you something.
01:08:41.820 It's not about the money. It's not about the money because God owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the Bible says.
01:08:46.820 So I'm saying God knows why this is happening, and I say my answer, part answer was this morning already here.
01:08:53.820 Look at the people because we couldn't nearly fit all these people in there.
01:08:57.820 And this is just the beginning. This is just the beginning.
01:09:00.820 So I'm sorry to say it like this, but it actually helped us out greatly.
01:09:04.820 It's supposed to intimidate us, but it puts power in us.
01:09:08.820 We're not a people of God has not given us the spirit of fear.
01:09:11.820 God has given us the spirit of power.
01:09:13.820 So this just empowers us and tells us this is what the human family should be doing.
01:09:17.820 I mean, listen to the children. Listen to the young people.
01:09:20.820 I mean, listen to the birds. They're joining right in.
01:09:22.820 This is just what humanity should be doing.
01:09:25.820 And you know, Pastor, on that note, I kind of have some fear in my heart for you in terms of the fact that we know the people, the haters, the mainstream media, the police observing today's service.
01:09:37.820 They don't like what you've done. I am fearful they will ramp up your harassment, the intimidation on you.
01:09:45.820 You might be the next Pastor Arthur Pawlowski. Are you afraid about that?
01:09:50.820 I'll say this very respectfully. I am not afraid of it.
01:09:55.820 If I did not have God, I would quit today.
01:09:59.820 But because I have God, the Bible says in multiple, multiple, multiple places, what shall man do unto me?
01:10:07.820 If my when my turn comes and I need to go to jail, then I'll go to jail.
01:10:12.820 If my faith is not worth dying for, it's not worth living for.
01:10:16.820 Well said. And Pastor, you know, again, I want to focus on the double standards at play here.
01:10:23.820 You can't have a church service at your Church of God.
01:10:26.820 And yet I believe it's 300, 400 meters down the road here.
01:10:30.820 There's a no for all supermarket. I don't begrudge their open. Heck, we need food.
01:10:33.820 Absolutely. Right. But if we go right now, I bet you it's filled to capacity.
01:10:38.820 There's a lineup waiting to go outside the door.
01:10:40.820 Again, we're always told that science driving these initiatives.
01:10:45.820 How is it that I can't go to a church, but I can get into a big box store and the virus won't affect me?
01:10:52.820 How do you square that logic?
01:10:54.820 Sure. I think it's actually quite simple.
01:10:56.820 Walmart is no threat to them. No food store is no threat to them.
01:11:00.820 But the churches are. The churches are a real threat to our government
01:11:04.820 because they definitely do not want to recognize that there's a group of people
01:11:09.820 that have a higher king over them than them, that have a higher power over them.
01:11:14.820 And I assume that must be very intimidating.
01:11:17.820 You know, it's fascinating, isn't it, Pastor?
01:11:19.820 I mean, if we go back a century ago in this province, it was prohibition.
01:11:22.820 You had to go to something called a speakeasy, a room where illegal booze was served.
01:11:27.820 Now, not only is liquor legal, but the government runs the booze racket
01:11:32.820 and exempts themselves from the COVID-19 closure regulations.
01:11:38.820 The new speakeasies are our churches, our gyms, you know, places where people go for the health of the body
01:11:44.820 and the health of the spirit and the mind.
01:11:46.820 Don't you find this perversely ironic how things have just gone so upside down in the space of a century?
01:11:53.820 Very, very ironic. Very ironic. And I think that is part of the reason why people are waking up
01:11:59.820 because it is just too obvious. It's just too obvious.
01:12:02.820 Why is that open and this not? What is going on here?
01:12:05.820 So I look at things by nature. I'm a positive person. I look at things positively.
01:12:11.820 So I don't want to believe. I don't want to believe that it is an attack on churches.
01:12:16.820 But it just is because they're making it so obvious that we see that it is.
01:12:21.820 And the double standard is really, really bad.
01:12:23.820 When we find out that the judges are somewhere in holidays or this one is traveling
01:12:28.820 and we weren't supposed to travel. And then all I can say is if Jesus was here,
01:12:34.820 he would show them, he would tell them, you hypocrite. And that's what I don't hate them.
01:12:39.820 I don't hate them. I don't hate them. I mean, I'm glad somebody's traveling.
01:12:42.820 I wish we all could do it. But don't tell us you can't. But this can be done.
01:12:46.820 I'm wondering what has been the personal toll all this harassment and intimidation has taken on you and your family members?
01:12:56.820 Well, like you said, I'm a human being. These are arms, not wings. So it does hurt.
01:13:03.820 It does hurt when they lock the building. It does hurt when they harass you.
01:13:07.820 It does hurt when they put all kinds of posters in town and all kinds of lies about you and all kinds of spread, all kinds of things.
01:13:14.820 It does hurt when they show things to our children and grandchildren that are very, very, very unbecoming.
01:13:21.820 It does hurt. But it has strengthened my resolve. It has assured me that I'm doing something right or else they wouldn't oppose it so strongly.
01:13:30.820 And I can say today that I can look at them. I do not feel hatred. I can look them in the eye.
01:13:37.820 But I can say to the officer, I said, sir, just so you know, I'm standing up for your children and your grandchildren.
01:13:43.820 OK, well, Pastor, the last word goes to you. To all those, whether it's law enforcement, judges, public health officials, protesters, haters online,
01:13:53.820 to all those that want to see your church shut down, your congregation denied a place to worship, what do you have to say to them?
01:14:02.820 Well, I would say don't be jealous of us. Just do the same. Just do the same. Open up. Let's open up the businesses.
01:14:09.820 Let's allow people to live. And if there is an issue somewhere and if the virus is somewhere in an area, let's be careful.
01:14:17.820 We will isolate like we did here at the beginning when they said we need to flatten the curve, which probably now is one of the most popular words in the dictionary.
01:14:26.820 Flatten the curve. We did that. We closed down. But then very soon we found out there was something else behind it.
01:14:32.820 And I am standing up for humanity at the peril of my life, whatever it takes. We have the Bible.
01:14:39.820 Like I said, we have the charter. We have the Bill of Rights. We have the criminal code.
01:14:44.820 What else do I need? Let us just be real Canadians. Like the Honourable Diefenbaker said, let us be free Canadians.
01:14:51.820 Let's worship God. Let the people worship God, those that want to worship God.
01:14:55.820 And let the businesses open up. Let the families live. Don't torture them any longer.
01:15:00.820 OK, so this morning we are here as legal as you can get.
01:15:05.820 I mean, I'm a Canadian. My name is in here and I'm a free Canadian, free to worship God, free to stand for what is right.
01:15:15.820 Listen, the Constitution was created to protect the people from the government, not the other way around, not the other way around, not the way around, not the other way around.
01:15:27.820 So we have the charter on our side. It says first, the very beginning, God is supreme and you will be worshipped.
01:15:37.820 Listen, when our fathers came here, they said, let's make sure that no tyrants will ever, ever, ever do something.
01:15:44.820 And they said, let's make sure we have it first, free to worship God, free to assemble, got the Bill of Rights right here.
01:15:52.820 And if that wasn't enough, is there another one? Yes. So call criminal code.
01:15:58.820 And it says, if any judge, sorry, not judge, if anybody ever interferes with the people worshipping God, they are in contravention of the criminal code.
01:16:08.820 Well, folks, I'm with Salim Mansour. You probably recognize the name in the face.
01:16:14.820 He ran for the People's Party of Canada in London.
01:16:18.820 Salim, what did you make of the pastor's remarks today?
01:16:21.820 I found it fascinating, and I think he was bang on, that we have unelected, non-accountable health officials going to judges and basically turning law-abiding citizens into criminals for things like this, a gathering.
01:16:38.820 The pastor's voice has become the trumpet of all of our voices that we cannot voice it.
01:16:44.820 And pastor is, you know, broadcasting what tens and thousands and millions of Canadians deep in their heart feel and feel not at this moment, but for the past one year.
01:16:58.820 There's nothing been like this before in our history, you know.
01:17:01.820 And yes, yes, unelected health officials are imposing their distorted view of their Mickey Mouse science and making an experiment out of the people of Canada.
01:17:15.820 And the worst criminals are our elected representatives.
01:17:19.820 Do you see, in terms of Pastor Hildebrandt, this situation escalating?
01:17:24.820 I'm sure, you know, the authorities, the police, the mainstream media, they're going to take a dim view of this gathering.
01:17:31.820 Is that what awaits this pastor being dragged away in a police car?
01:17:35.820 Well, here it is.
01:17:37.820 You know who I am, so here it is.
01:17:39.820 We have to parse the word, escalating.
01:17:42.820 We are people gathering together to worship.
01:17:45.820 We are people gathering together to hold each other's hand, you know.
01:17:50.820 You know that I am a Muslim.
01:17:52.820 Jesus is my Christ Messiah in the Quran.
01:17:57.820 The Muslims have forgotten that.
01:17:59.820 And this government and all the governments have been creating one people against the other to splinter and fragment it.
01:18:08.820 What did, what did Justin Trudeau say in October of 2015?
01:18:13.820 He said, welcome to a Canada that is post-modern and without any core identity.
01:18:22.820 Is that why Mackenzie King sent Canadians to die in the beaches of Dieppe?
01:18:29.820 That you have no core identity?
01:18:32.820 You also said that back then that the budget will balance itself and maybe with all these fines, maybe it will, who knows.
01:18:37.820 But, Salim, always a pleasure to talk to you.
01:18:39.820 What exit question are you going to be running for the PPC in London whenever the next election is called?
01:18:45.820 Well, I am waiting for the sound to ring in my ear.
01:18:48.820 Okay.
01:18:49.820 And I am going to consult with the pastor.
01:18:51.820 Okay.
01:18:52.820 Because we have to, whether I run or don't run, we, the people, have to take back a country that is bring God back into our life.
01:19:02.820 We have become a country that is godless.
01:19:05.820 Godlessness has become our faith, our religion, and we have to take it back.
01:19:10.820 It seems that following God is illegal increasingly in Canada, which is a downright shame.
01:19:15.820 Well, I mean, it is illegal and the people who have made it illegal, they are following the demon that is their God.
01:19:23.820 You can't have it both ways.
01:19:24.820 I mean, there is no, in the cosmos, a vacuum.
01:19:28.820 So, if they want to create a vacuum for us that is, you know, worshipping God is illegal, then the question goes back to them.
01:19:36.820 What is it that you stand?
01:19:37.820 What is your premise?
01:19:38.820 What is your axiom from which you make your move?
01:19:42.820 Salim, always a pleasure, my friend.
01:19:44.820 Thank you.
01:19:45.820 How is any of that okay?
01:19:58.820 How is it that other church leaders are silent and some of them even putting out condemnations of these Christian churches?
01:20:05.820 How can people square the difference?
01:20:07.820 How can they reconcile cheering for churches to be locked down while then going to Walmart or Costco?
01:20:13.820 How is that possible?
01:20:15.820 How is it possible to write laws, as Alberta has done, saying that only five or ten people are allowed at a church?
01:20:22.820 A hard fixed number, no matter how large the church is.
01:20:25.820 But the businesses like Costco can open based on a percentage of their fire code space.
01:20:30.820 Why are you specifically treating churches lower and less freely than churches of commerce like Walmart?
01:20:39.820 How is this even possible?
01:20:41.820 And how can this just be swept away and normalized by all the institutions from police chiefs to politicians and the government and the opposition to the media to lawyers and courts and law professors?
01:20:54.820 Is that how easily we give up on these freedoms?
01:20:57.820 I find it deeply depressing.
01:20:59.820 We are fighting back.
01:21:01.820 Pastor Arthur Pawlowski is one of the cases.
01:21:04.820 I recommend his website, SaveArthur.com.
01:21:07.820 We have other websites where we defend churches.
01:21:10.820 We have some important victories.
01:21:12.820 Sheila Gunn-Reed did a video the other day, as you know, about winning the case in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
01:21:17.820 A $14,000 fine against that church was dropped after our lawyer at Fight the Fines went to battle.
01:21:24.820 So there is some hope out there, but I feel fairly hopeless.
01:21:28.820 Sorry, I shouldn't say that because I don't want to get you down.
01:21:31.820 It's a terrible battle.
01:21:32.820 We will fight it, and hopefully we will win.
01:21:34.820 We've had some wins.
01:21:35.820 I don't want to be despondent.
01:21:37.820 Well, that's a show.
01:21:39.820 Bit of a downer, eh?
01:21:40.820 Like I say, it's not the best of.
01:21:42.820 It's the worst of.
01:21:43.820 But we'll keep fighting for freedom.
01:21:45.820 And if you want to help us, you know how you can.
01:21:48.820 That's the show for today.
01:21:49.820 Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World headquarters,
01:21:52.820 to you at home, good night, and keep fighting for freedom.
