00:00:00.000 This is Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada.
00:00:18.720 We must keep fighting all COVID measures until they are gone permanently.
00:00:24.420 Join the fight at peoplespartyofcanada.ca.
00:00:27.460 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
00:00:30.360 You have tuned into the Rebel News Daily Livestream on this, a Thursday, June 23rd, 2022.
00:00:38.280 I'm David Menzies and my co-host, well, let me tell you a little bit about my co-host.
00:00:43.940 You know what, folks?
00:00:44.820 Today is National Pink Day.
00:00:48.140 She does not celebrate this day because pink, well, it's one vowel removed from pinko.
00:00:55.100 And she really hates those cats.
00:00:57.600 She is the she-devil with a sword.
00:00:59.700 She is the Khaleesi of Northern Alberta.
00:01:03.860 She is Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:01:06.180 Well, Sheila, you're looking wonderful.
00:01:08.860 And it seems to be orange and black, certainly not pink.
00:01:12.160 How are you doing today?
00:01:13.880 You know, I think it's mustard.
00:01:15.920 And thank you very much for noticing.
00:01:18.180 I'm sort of struggling with my outfit today because I'm filling in for Ezra on his show today.
00:01:23.640 And so I came down into my studio today and I had like a blue blazer on because I try to dress a little nicer when he lets me host for him.
00:01:31.520 And then I realized his backdrop is completely blue.
00:01:34.240 So I ran back upstairs and changed into yellow.
00:01:36.400 And then my husband is like, you realize you're going to look like an Ikea, right?
00:01:40.860 With a blue backdrop.
00:01:42.160 So I'm going to have to change one more time.
00:01:44.940 But this is good enough for now.
00:01:46.360 Wasn't Blue Blazer the name of a wrestler once upon a time?
00:01:50.960 Oh, maybe.
00:01:52.560 I think so.
00:01:53.900 Correct me if I'm wrong, all you WWF or WWE fans out there.
00:01:59.560 Oh, I'm sure it's way before then.
00:02:01.880 Everybody who knew who that guy was is dead.
00:02:04.340 Well, Sheila, we have so much to get to.
00:02:10.500 The news never stops coming in, even though so many of the mainstream media seem to be mailing it in these days.
00:02:18.820 And when they go out in the field, they're easy to identify.
00:02:23.300 They're the only ones wearing masks, sometimes double masks.
00:02:27.700 But they're not even following the science, which says that months ago the masks were removed.
00:02:33.880 What are they so terrified about?
00:02:36.180 I've actually spoken to some of them.
00:02:38.460 And they said, Dave, if I could, I'd take it off.
00:02:40.860 But if we're seen in public, they want us to wear masks.
00:02:45.440 Well, for optic reasons, not for medical reasons.
00:02:48.720 Like, again, more insanity on the COVID file.
00:02:51.820 But I better not get too deep into that swamp.
00:02:55.580 Because that's the whole YouTube censorious thug topic that they listen to very carefully.
00:03:03.500 So why don't you tell the folks the ostensible policy reason of what we're actually trying to attempt to do here today, Sheila?
00:03:11.260 I will.
00:03:11.740 So, and Efron and Olivia, just, I'm going to send you a topic.
00:03:17.060 I just want to touch on it lightly.
00:03:19.360 Because as you know, I think that Edmonton is a progressive hellscape.
00:03:24.580 So I just like to talk about the latest stupid thing that they're doing.
00:03:27.660 And I like to watch Edmonton, like, from afar.
00:03:31.100 Like, I'm so glad I don't live there.
00:03:33.020 But I'm always worried that they're going to, like, encroach my way.
00:03:37.840 And one day I'm going to wake up in Edmonton's on top of me.
00:03:41.160 But I remain convinced that we should just District 9 it.
00:03:45.720 Just leave it there.
00:03:50.880 Evacuate everybody who wants to come out.
00:03:52.520 And just, you know, leave everybody else behind.
00:03:55.200 If you want to vote for the NDP, you want to vote for the Liberals, okay, great.
00:03:58.580 Just do it in District 9.
00:04:00.640 Anyway.
00:04:00.860 And then, to finish the District 9 comparison, Sheila, send in the likes of Elon Musk and all the other rocket ship makers to form some kind of a spaceship to remove the District 9 adherents back to their home planet, which is probably somewhere between Jupiter and Uranus.
00:04:24.320 Anyway.
00:04:26.020 I thought you were going to say just launch cat food over the fence.
00:04:30.860 Like, like that movie.
00:04:32.260 Anyway.
00:04:32.720 Okay.
00:04:33.200 This is the Rebel News daily live stream.
00:04:37.040 We're currently streaming on YouTube.
00:04:38.560 But as David Menzies just alluded to, we might run up against some of their censorship laws.
00:04:43.960 So, if we talk about, I don't know, the advice of a public health officer and we question it and we don't march along with the likes of Teresa Tam, who advised us to, if we're going to get busy, she said, wear a mask.
00:05:00.480 Do you remember that?
00:05:01.340 By the way, she just got a raise today.
00:05:02.980 An extra 22% on her already inflated salary.
00:05:05.820 22%?
00:05:07.240 Wait a minute.
00:05:07.940 Whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:05:08.700 COVID or no COVID?
00:05:09.560 We're getting the pandemic wrong.
00:05:11.020 We're getting the pandemic wrong.
00:05:12.720 Who gets that kind of a raise these days?
00:05:16.260 22%.
00:05:16.700 I'm sure she's already making healthy six figures, right?
00:05:20.800 Oh, she's one.
00:05:21.940 I think she is probably the highest paid bureaucrat.
00:05:25.540 But she got 22%.
00:05:27.080 I know Anthony Fauci is the highest paid bureaucrat in the American government.
00:05:30.380 Oh, yeah.
00:05:30.860 I think Teresa, or Dina Hinshaw is one of the highest paid bureaucrats in Alberta.
00:05:37.000 Teresa Tam, yeah.
00:05:38.280 Her reward for getting the pandemic completely wrong from the very beginning gets a 22% pay raise.
00:05:45.300 And I think it might have a lot to do with that she knows where all the bodies are buried at this point.
00:05:50.060 Yeah.
00:05:50.520 You know?
00:05:50.760 Well, you know what?
00:05:52.340 This being Pride Month, she's a champion of such language as pregnant people.
00:05:58.420 This is a doctor.
00:05:59.860 Pregnant people.
00:06:01.600 Wow.
00:06:02.920 You really fail upwards in this country, don't you?
00:06:05.620 A 22% raise.
00:06:08.020 She should be fired.
00:06:10.080 She should be fired.
00:06:11.380 She's getting like a quarter tacked onto her salary.
00:06:13.940 It's outrageous.
00:06:14.960 But anyway.
00:06:15.400 Fired.
00:06:15.860 Some people think she should be in jail, but that better not go too deep in those.
00:06:20.400 We're never even going to find out the extent of the things she got wrong.
00:06:24.620 But I should finish telling everybody what we're doing.
00:06:27.100 Yes.
00:06:27.120 Thank you.
00:06:27.660 Because I went on the David Menzies-style tangerine right there.
00:06:30.680 So I should just bring it back in.
00:06:33.680 So to alleviate the fact that we have to shut our mouths about certain things over on YouTube,
00:06:38.660 we are currently streaming on Getter.
00:06:40.340 But we're also on Rumble, Odyssey, and Super U.
00:06:42.260 And the beauty of those three, well, those four platforms is that they don't care about
00:06:47.400 your politics.
00:06:48.140 So let you say what you sincerely believe and let you speak your mind and let you talk
00:06:52.720 about inconvenient facts.
00:06:53.980 And on Rumble, Odyssey, and Super U, you can go one step further.
00:06:57.360 You can engage with us here at Rebel News by leaving a paid chat on Rumble.
00:07:01.560 It's called a Rumble Rant.
00:07:02.600 Odyssey, it's a hyper chat.
00:07:04.260 And Super U, it's called a Super U Shout.
00:07:06.080 Send us one of those.
00:07:07.460 The producers will send it to us in a little chat, and we'll read it on the air, and we'll
00:07:11.520 do our best to address whatever it is that you want to talk about.
00:07:14.740 And it's a great way to support the work that we do, but also have your say.
00:07:18.220 Because unlike the mainstream media, we don't take money from Justin Trudeau, and we invite
00:07:22.500 comments as opposed to turning off the comment section.
00:07:25.420 There you go.
00:07:26.120 And I guess, Sheila, the number one story, and I addressed it.
00:07:30.320 No, let me talk about Edmonton.
00:07:32.440 Let me talk about Edmonton, please.
00:07:33.800 Oh, right, yes.
00:07:33.820 Okay, then.
00:07:34.640 Before, because it's so stupid.
00:07:36.560 And it just, I was talking about this with my husband last night.
00:07:41.420 Edmonton is run by hippies who don't realize that Edmonton is kind of a nature city.
00:07:47.760 And so they did the same sort of stupid stuff last year when they were not going to, they
00:07:54.700 weren't going to trap coyotes anymore that were within the city limits.
00:07:57.640 They were just going to send people out to scare them.
00:08:01.100 And so they sent these people out with literally jars of pennies and balls.
00:08:07.060 And so they were going to, if they came across a coyote, they would shake the pennies to make
00:08:14.280 noise to scare them, which is just training the coyote not to be scared of people.
00:08:20.660 They realize you're not going to hurt them, right?
00:08:22.300 Like if you do that, like they are canids, right?
00:08:25.720 Like they learn the same way dogs do.
00:08:28.380 It's the same reason we put out a hunting blind well in advance if we want to shoot coyotes is
00:08:34.420 because we want them to get used to the fact that the hunting blind is there and it's not
00:08:38.400 unusual.
00:08:38.820 So it doesn't spook them.
00:08:40.000 But they, so they send people out with pennies to shake the pennies, which just teaches them
00:08:44.520 that loud noise and people over, you know, a series of contacts that doesn't actually harm
00:08:49.700 them.
00:08:49.940 So then now they're not scared of people, which makes them aggressive.
00:08:52.780 And secondarily, they were going to throw balls at them.
00:08:55.540 I'm like, so you want to teach them how to play fetch.
00:08:57.680 Good job, city.
00:09:00.160 Great job.
00:09:01.880 Sheila, first question.
00:09:03.980 Where do these hippies get the pennies from?
00:09:06.940 Um, uh, the penny has been out of production for almost a decade in Canada.
00:09:10.740 Well, who's got jars of pennies anymore?
00:09:14.180 And I'm fascinated that that's the point that you got hung up on there.
00:09:19.080 But are these hippies hoarding pennies from yesterday decade?
00:09:22.780 But, but the thing is you're right in, uh, by trying to kill them with kindness, uh, they're
00:09:29.540 actually achieving the opposite.
00:09:30.980 They're making these predators more Kenny, more aware.
00:09:36.180 Um, of what they can get away with.
00:09:39.440 They are going to embolden these coyotes.
00:09:43.420 Yeah.
00:09:43.660 And that's another thing I got hung up with.
00:09:45.160 What's with this coyotes?
00:09:46.640 It's coyote as in Wiley coyote, who I've always said has an incredible lawsuit pending with
00:09:54.340 the Acme company for all the crap merchandise he bought from them.
00:09:58.260 But anyways, um, this is staggering.
00:10:01.720 Is there anyone on staff, Sheila?
00:10:04.280 Cause this is, and I'm not being funny here, who is armed because what if the coyotes don't
00:10:11.380 get rattled by a jar of pennies shaking?
00:10:14.780 What if they don't want to play fetch like Fido?
00:10:17.700 And what if they encroach upon these hippies?
00:10:20.560 Is there somebody there with a, Oh, I don't know a weapon because.
00:10:26.160 Oh, I doubt it.
00:10:27.900 I doubt it.
00:10:29.040 And so this is, uh, you know, I'm surprised nobody's had to learn about coyote nature the
00:10:34.160 hard way, but moving along to the next year, because Edmonton remains ridiculous this year.
00:10:42.860 They are, um, no longer spraying for mosquitoes and they basically, so there's two ways to get
00:10:50.140 rid of mosquitoes, spray poison.
00:10:53.400 And like mosquitoes are a thing in Alberta.
00:10:57.240 Ralph Klein famously said, Edmonton city with too many socialists and mosquitoes.
00:11:01.720 She was an oracle because now we're dealing with socialists and mosquitoes.
00:11:08.280 So, um, uh, anyway, anyway, mosquito scene.
00:11:14.200 Okay.
00:11:14.600 So, um, sorry, I flipped you guys the wrong article.
00:11:19.020 So it's mosquito season.
00:11:21.200 It's, it's terrible in Alberta.
00:11:23.540 And we just had like days and days of rain.
00:11:26.840 Also the city of Edmonton has decided that they don't really need to cut the grass in
00:11:31.700 the ditches and stuff like that.
00:11:33.300 So overgrown standing water end of June.
00:11:38.860 Oh, we're about to have one heck of a mosquito hatch.
00:11:42.440 So what does the city of Edmonton do?
00:11:44.620 Because they're run by hippies.
00:11:46.680 We're looking to bats and better education in lieu of mosquito spraying.
00:11:52.320 So the city managers are planning to install bat houses, expand monitoring of insect populations
00:11:58.440 and conduct more public education.
00:12:01.620 Ah, the more I learn about mosquitoes, the less they're going to bite me.
00:12:04.700 Is that what they're telling me here?
00:12:05.900 But anyway, um, because they canceled the helicopter spraying program for mosquitoes.
00:12:10.800 So this, and it's like, um, 507,000 or five, yeah, $507,000 that they spent on aerial spraying.
00:12:21.340 So, uh, pretty affordable actually considering that it's under, it's just barely a half a million
00:12:27.260 dollars and the government will blow that on a piece of art that looks like garbage.
00:12:30.740 So, but their, their new strategy is to rely on more natural control methods.
00:12:37.400 I am happy for the hippies in Edmonton to figure out the hard way that this is what you get when
00:12:43.440 you vote for Justin Trudeau's former natural resources minister as mayor, Amarjeet Sohi.
00:12:49.920 And I just keep holding my breath for the day that nature reclaims Edmonton like Pripyat,
00:12:56.500 the city that was right next door to Chernobyl.
00:12:58.960 And then like nature just takes it back over.
00:13:01.980 Um, this, this is ridiculous.
00:13:05.680 Congratulations on the next outbreak of West Nile, by the way.
00:13:09.080 They're, they're relying on bats.
00:13:11.540 How about this, Sheila?
00:13:12.440 Why don't they hire a strong man, put them in a Batman costume.
00:13:16.720 And instead of throwing batarangs at mosquitoes, he rattles a jar of pennies.
00:13:22.220 Uh, if it works on the coyotes.
00:13:24.180 Just tell them about Citronella.
00:13:26.240 Just go out there dressed in a bat costume and tell people about Citronella, which hardly
00:13:31.060 works at all, but go do that and see, just see.
00:13:35.060 And then the mosquitoes won't bite you.
00:13:37.020 You know?
00:13:37.140 Yeah.
00:13:37.600 And you know what, Sheila, I have to tell you if this, I don't think this was a, um, a
00:13:43.700 fit, a move of fiscal conservatism to save half a million dollars, because I'll tell you,
00:13:48.980 um, it is a bargain at 10 times that amount to get rid of mosquitoes.
00:13:54.040 These are vile, filthy creatures that are complete annoyances.
00:13:59.080 Uh, I know there's some kind of master plan, uh, for every animal on the planet.
00:14:04.920 I can't figure it out for, uh, mosquitoes unless it's just to provide bats with extra
00:14:10.380 stuff to eat.
00:14:11.120 Well, and here's the thing, just before we go on, when people say like helicopter program,
00:14:16.460 and I probably use the wrong language here when I said spring, cause it's really not
00:14:19.800 people think that you're just coming with a cloud of DDT, which also gets a bum rap and
00:14:24.680 you're just spraying everything.
00:14:26.600 Uh, that's not what they do.
00:14:28.040 What they do is these helicopters fly low.
00:14:31.100 They drop corn cobs laden with this stuff, Paul, uh, like it's some sort of larvae side.
00:14:39.440 Like it's a poison that kills the larva before it hatches.
00:14:41.960 They come and drop these biodegradable corn cobs with this poison that only affects mosquito
00:14:47.140 lava or larva into the standing water.
00:14:49.860 And then they fly away.
00:14:51.080 And apparently this is just a little bit too much for the hippies in Edmonton.
00:14:57.080 Unbelievable.
00:14:57.640 Uh, you know, uh, what are they trying to do?
00:15:00.340 Turn Edmonton into, oh, I don't know, Winnipeg.
00:15:03.720 Like I said, let nature take Edmonton back.
00:15:05.940 I don't care.
00:15:07.240 Uh, you know, Sheila, one last thing on this file.
00:15:10.220 Um, I'll vote for the bats.
00:15:11.820 I'll vote for the bats instead of Amarjeet Sohi.
00:15:16.200 They seem a little bit more useful.
00:15:17.740 I mean, they'll be more effective at doing their job, um, than Amarjeet Sohi is at being
00:15:22.580 the mayor.
00:15:23.220 Well, I guess we're going to have to have what a bat breeding program.
00:15:26.920 I mean, how many bats are there in Edmonton anyways?
00:15:30.140 I mean, uh, what I'm saying, Sheila, are there enough bats to counteract the increase?
00:15:36.080 Just wait till all the bats are in everybody's attic and they're freaking out and there's
00:15:42.220 bat guano everywhere and it's high ammonia and it's destroying their houses and they've
00:15:46.560 got bats in the rafters and everybody's having a conniption.
00:15:49.960 And it's because the city said, you know what we need?
00:15:52.940 Bats instead of just dropping these stupid corn cobs in standing water.
00:15:57.180 Incredible.
00:15:57.680 You know, I, I can't figure out the city of Edmonton because I've, I lived for two years
00:16:03.820 in Alberta.
00:16:04.300 That's where I started my journalism career, such as it is, uh, out, uh, two hours Northeast
00:16:11.020 of, uh, Edmonton in St.
00:16:12.800 Paul.
00:16:13.140 And I always loved Alberta.
00:16:14.840 I loved the folks I met there.
00:16:17.300 I, I, I, it felt like the most American of all the 10 provinces.
00:16:21.460 Um, and, um, this idea of loony lefty downtown Toronto types getting a hold of, uh, your biggest
00:16:32.340 cities.
00:16:33.460 Um, and I'm talking, I'm, I'm going back to when I was, I was 1985, 86.
00:16:38.680 It would be something like out of a science fiction, like what happened?
00:16:43.060 Did a lot of people from the East migrate to, uh, Alberta and went into politics, uh, Sheila?
00:16:51.320 Everybody works for the government in every, in Edmonton.
00:16:54.240 It's the seat of government.
00:16:55.620 So it's just nothing but bureaucrats and public sector workers.
00:16:58.600 And it's where all the union offices are headed.
00:17:01.560 So, um, the, that all those politics sort of permeate, um, the city politics.
00:17:09.200 However, the federal conservative party is pretty strong, particularly in, you know, like
00:17:14.640 the more affluent suburbs and, and, you know, the more new development areas.
00:17:20.300 Uh, so I just, I don't get it.
00:17:23.380 So there are some regions that vote conservative provincially, they vote conservative federally
00:17:30.580 and elect complete and total wackadoos municipally.
00:17:34.480 I don't get it.
00:17:35.460 Well, I'll tell you if the agenda of the wackadoos was to capture the mosquito vote, they have
00:17:41.800 surely succeeded.
00:17:43.520 They got it.
00:17:44.780 It's unbelievable.
00:17:46.560 Well, Sheila, um, the top story or what should be the top story, um, regardless of how many
00:17:53.300 media apologists are out there, uh, trying to spin this is of course, uh, the allegations
00:17:59.400 that RCMP commissioner, Brenda Luckey, the former public, uh, safety minister, Bill Blair,
00:18:07.220 uh, who by the way, folks doesn't live in his, the riding he represents in Toronto.
00:18:13.100 He's in Forest Hill, which is very Tony and upscale.
00:18:16.660 Uh, his writing is Scarborough where, well, you know, there's a lot of crime.
00:18:21.000 So, you know, he, he kind of detaches himself from that.
00:18:24.920 And of course, prime minister, Justin Trudeau himself, I'm not going to weigh in too much
00:18:29.940 on this, Sheila, because, uh, I discussed this, um, vigorously with our colleague, Catherine
00:18:36.000 yesterday.
00:18:37.000 Um, but what we see going on here is an absolute scandal.
00:18:44.600 And I mean, so what else is new?
00:18:46.860 I think it's almost as though the Justin Trudeau liberals get out of bed every day thinking,
00:18:52.780 what kind of scandal can we do and, uh, see how we can get away with it.
00:18:57.740 And basically folks, the, the nub of it was that there was an active investigation into
00:19:04.820 the mass murder, into that massacre in 2020 in Nova Scotia.
00:19:10.000 And Brenda Luckey was putting pressure on superintendent, Darren Campbell, and the director of communications,
00:19:18.560 Leah Scanlon, those are Mounties to release information pertaining to the guns being used.
00:19:27.920 And, um, Campbell and Scanlon to prove that there are good cops.
00:19:31.140 They were resisting, uh, the demands of their superior saying it's inappropriate.
00:19:35.940 This is an active investigation.
00:19:38.260 It could compromise the investigation.
00:19:40.800 But at the end of the day, uh, Sheila, I guess it comes down to Justin Trudeau, doesn't
00:19:46.500 it?
00:19:46.680 Because here is a massacre that he can, you know, turn into a liberal party of Canada campaign
00:19:55.960 ad, namely how bad guns are.
00:19:59.360 Um, that's where I weigh in.
00:20:01.880 I think all three of these individuals should resign immediately.
00:20:05.720 They won't, of course, in fact, they're denying the allegations and they're, uh, spinning the
00:20:10.460 allegations.
00:20:11.020 So, uh, what else is new?
00:20:13.600 Uh, Sheila, what are your thoughts on what we're seeing here?
00:20:17.900 This is one of the grotesque, most grotesque things, I think, in recent political history
00:20:24.520 that I've ever seen Justin Trudeau do.
00:20:27.020 So he's standing on the graves of RCM and on the RCMP failure to do things.
00:20:35.280 Um, during the worst mass casualty event in Canadian history, the worst mass shooting.
00:20:43.420 And instead of saying, you know, what did the RCMP get wrong here?
00:20:50.060 Why, why was this guy even out?
00:20:52.500 They didn't even consider that.
00:20:55.320 They said, what a wonderful opportunity for us.
00:20:58.520 And Brenda Luckey, commissioner of the RCMP said, you're darn right, boss.
00:21:04.360 What a great opportunity for us.
00:21:07.500 The.
00:21:09.580 Nova Scotia.
00:21:11.240 Sorry, go ahead.
00:21:12.200 Oh, never let a good crisis go to waste.
00:21:14.740 In other words, eh, Sheila?
00:21:16.180 Yeah.
00:21:17.320 A Nova Scotia.
00:21:18.520 I'm just reading from the National Post article on this, which is really damning.
00:21:21.960 A Nova Scotia RCMP superintendent alleged that Luckey made a promise to the prime minister's office
00:21:27.460 and then public safety minister, Bill Blair, who's the worst.
00:21:31.700 He failed the city of Toronto.
00:21:33.140 And they're like, you know what?
00:21:34.320 You know that terrible job you did in Toronto?
00:21:36.520 Do that for the rest of the country.
00:21:38.120 And he did.
00:21:39.860 Luckey promised that she'd have the RCMP release details from the investigation
00:21:44.780 that tied into pending gun control laws and would, quote, make officers and the public safer.
00:21:53.240 Showing integrity, the Nova Scotia RCMP refused to comply to prevent the investigation from
00:21:59.640 being compromised.
00:22:00.720 Good for them.
00:22:01.480 Yep.
00:22:02.140 Beyond this, a communications director with the Nova Scotia RCMP testified under oath.
00:22:07.560 Minister Blair, the prime minister, all of these people, they were weighing in on what
00:22:13.320 we could and couldn't say.
00:22:15.000 They were turning the investigation political for their own means right away, standing on
00:22:18.600 dead bodies.
00:22:19.700 The RCMP failed this community and these families.
00:22:23.200 This guy should never have been out.
00:22:24.900 And instead of saying, oh my God, we got this wrong.
00:22:29.660 People are dead.
00:22:31.460 They pivot and come out and use it as an opportunity to come after millions of lawful Canadian gun owners.
00:22:38.320 They took their own failure and deflected it at everybody else who did everything right
00:22:45.680 in this country.
00:22:46.380 Some two million Canadian gun owners.
00:22:48.840 They thought, you know what?
00:22:50.540 We screwed this up.
00:22:51.940 Let's make them the bad guy.
00:22:53.400 It's absolutely revolting.
00:22:55.700 Oh, and Sheila, if I may interject, let's point out that the mass murderer, that firearm
00:23:01.460 he had was not legally acquired.
00:23:04.840 It was illegally brought up from the United States.
00:23:07.400 It was smuggled.
00:23:08.420 And the liberals have done nothing to combat smuggling.
00:23:11.420 All they've done with their legislation is focus on people who are already doing the
00:23:14.820 right thing.
00:23:16.080 In fact, he was on a watch list in terms of firearms from complaints, right?
00:23:20.600 Yeah.
00:23:20.720 So, you know, this isn't some, you know, duck farmer that lost his mind, went to his gun
00:23:27.400 rack and started mowing down people with his legally acquired rifle.
00:23:31.300 No, far from it.
00:23:32.440 And yet it was all about, let's get, you know, the make and model of gun to have that be the
00:23:40.340 poster child, if you will, for our big 1500 plus gun ban coming up.
00:23:45.360 Because you see, we're trying to save Canadians.
00:23:48.300 You're absolutely right.
00:23:49.220 It almost sounds vulgar that they're standing on the graves of those 22 victims.
00:23:54.180 But that, yeah, that's what they're doing.
00:23:55.420 They're exploiting the deaths.
00:23:57.060 They saw it as an opportunity.
00:23:59.320 Yep.
00:23:59.640 They saw it as an opportunity to push through this legislation.
00:24:02.800 They went after 1500 models.
00:24:06.920 They took these guns and said, let's blow this up as big as possible.
00:24:11.860 We've got 22 dead people.
00:24:13.700 We've got a real opportunity here.
00:24:15.620 That's what they did.
00:24:16.660 The commission's report indicates that Lucky took a different approach.
00:24:20.560 She was making back end pushes.
00:24:23.880 She was pushing for legislation.
00:24:25.780 Wasn't just that she was going along to get along with the liberals.
00:24:29.060 She became an advocate for gun grabbing too.
00:24:32.300 That's not her role as the national police chief.
00:24:36.880 She was pushing for legislation that fit the platform of the current governing party.
00:24:41.980 What does she want to be a senator or something?
00:24:45.060 Lucky.
00:24:45.760 I'm sure if we had given her one more four-year election cycle, she'd be running for Bill Blair's
00:24:51.680 job.
00:24:53.000 Better believe it.
00:24:54.300 You know what?
00:24:55.160 But that's an interesting hypothesis, Sheila.
00:24:58.620 So who would be the worst public safety minister?
00:25:01.260 Bill Blair, the former one.
00:25:03.500 Marco Mendicino, aka Ottawa's Pinocchio.
00:25:07.780 Or Brenda Lucky.
00:25:09.560 I mean, wow.
00:25:11.220 What a choice.
00:25:13.840 Mendicino's just a lying idiot.
00:25:16.200 He's dangerous because he's stupid.
00:25:18.460 Brenda Lucky's conniving.
00:25:19.740 And dishonest.
00:25:21.520 Yeah.
00:25:22.100 She has zero integrity.
00:25:23.420 No ethics.
00:25:25.200 It says, Lucky was stepping far outside her role as police chief, wanting to use the tragedy
00:25:31.720 to manufacture consent.
00:25:34.140 For laws, the liberals hadn't even put forth yet.
00:25:37.680 She was pushing the liberals in this direction.
00:25:40.200 And the liberals being lazy said, sure, let's do her.
00:25:45.160 Now, the timeline here is also very damning.
00:25:49.200 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's gun control laws were likely in the works before the shooting.
00:25:54.060 I mean, liberals are always trying to grab a gun in the background.
00:25:56.500 That should surprise no one.
00:25:59.040 But the timeline here is damning.
00:26:01.060 The massacre took place on April 18th and 19th.
00:26:04.820 While the meeting where Lucky spoke of upcoming gun control laws was on April 28th.
00:26:10.460 Ten days later.
00:26:11.420 I wonder if the funerals were all over yet, Brenda.
00:26:14.660 By May 1st, the liberals announced a ban on 1,500 types of guns without any gun-specific
00:26:20.200 details mentioned in the press conference.
00:26:22.340 So evidently, they weren't necessary.
00:26:24.540 It's just revolting.
00:26:27.840 It just turns my stomach.
00:26:29.080 These poor families.
00:26:30.120 These poor families being political tools.
00:26:32.840 Yeah, these families are being re-victimized, in my view.
00:26:36.360 But here's the thing.
00:26:38.620 You know, the National Post really sets the table there on how damning this story is.
00:26:44.860 The three stooges in, you know, the principal figures here are all denying the allegations.
00:26:51.360 But that's what they do.
00:26:52.440 Deny, deny, deny.
00:26:53.320 I'm sure there's a paper trail.
00:26:54.980 I'm sure there's a paper trail.
00:26:56.180 I'm sure there's meeting notes.
00:26:57.280 I'm sure there's briefing notes.
00:27:00.040 And it looks like the people who were probably on the receiving end of many of these emails
00:27:05.560 and briefing notes have copies and integrity because they pushed back.
00:27:10.720 And so just wait till that's all on the table.
00:27:13.220 But, you know, Sheila, here's my question to you.
00:27:15.440 What do you want to bet in the days ahead when the editorials and the op-ed pieces are being written
00:27:22.100 by those in the legacy media, i.e. the media that is being funded by the Justin Trudeau liberals?
00:27:29.500 I'm guessing the narrative is going to be this.
00:27:33.440 Yes, maybe, perhaps there was some improper behavior by those in charge in terms of compromising an investigation.
00:27:44.340 However, in the big picture, if this is about getting mean, nasty guns off the street,
00:27:52.080 well, then what they did justifies the means.
00:27:56.780 I think that's what we're going to see, because especially from downtown liberal city media outlets,
00:28:02.780 they hear the word gun and they need grief counseling.
00:28:08.320 I think that's what they're instead of calling for resignations or firings.
00:28:12.960 They're going to say the ends justified the means in this case.
00:28:16.940 Well, you know, look what came of the Aga Khan controversy.
00:28:21.800 Look what came of SNC-Lavalin.
00:28:23.740 Yeah.
00:28:24.280 You know, me too.
00:28:26.260 Me too.
00:28:27.600 Black face.
00:28:29.900 This stuff is just right there out in the open.
00:28:32.900 And at the end of it all, Justin Trudeau seems to survive because he has the Praetorian Guard media,
00:28:40.240 as Mark Levin likes to say, protecting him.
00:28:42.980 And not only are they ideologically compatible, but they rely on Justin Trudeau for their financial survival.
00:28:51.320 And so there's an extra incentive here to go along with Justin Trudeau to be outraged in the moment,
00:28:58.520 but then to say, as you say, the ends justify the mean.
00:29:01.840 And look how much safer Canada is because duck hunters in Saskatchewan are having a hard time
00:29:07.300 because Justin Trudeau has outlawed all their favorite firearms.
00:29:11.100 But I have a real hard time trusting the RCMP to police Canadians and lawful Canadian gun owners
00:29:21.080 when they couldn't get this guy who had himself on a watch list.
00:29:26.880 They couldn't deal with him.
00:29:28.140 They're going to deal with 2.1 million other innocent people.
00:29:31.120 The good thing about all those 2.1 million people is they're actually law abiding.
00:29:35.640 They've already done the right thing.
00:29:37.280 You couldn't deal with the one dirt bag.
00:29:39.280 Great point, Sheila.
00:29:40.520 And now 22 people are dead.
00:29:41.760 Yeah.
00:29:42.200 They knew he was a clear and present danger, to use that terminology,
00:29:45.780 and still he got away with that mass murder.
00:29:49.800 By the way, when we're going through the laundry list of Justin Trudeau scandals,
00:29:53.440 I misspoke.
00:29:54.280 I said, me too.
00:29:55.660 I meant the we charity.
00:29:57.940 So we instead of me.
00:29:59.040 There's a me too in there too because he did rope that journalist.
00:30:01.780 That's right.
00:30:02.340 Rose Knight.
00:30:02.960 No, that's fine.
00:30:04.740 Even when I screw up, I come up with another Justin Trudeau.
00:30:09.220 You know, that's the thing.
00:30:10.140 Like, pick the liberal cause of the day that they are championing,
00:30:13.960 and Justin Trudeau has been on the wrong side of it,
00:30:17.260 and nobody seems to care.
00:30:18.740 Environmentalism.
00:30:19.500 You know, he's blowing through jet fuel like it's going out of style.
00:30:23.840 He's a feminist, but he groped that journalist.
00:30:26.060 He, you know, he's the most open and transparent government ever.
00:30:30.480 He's blocking access requests and blocking journalists all the time,
00:30:34.660 fighting journalists in court.
00:30:36.000 Name whatever it is that he goes out in the media and says that that's who he is.
00:30:40.960 In practice, he's the opposite of all those things.
00:30:43.960 And let's not forget the fourth musketeer here, Sheila,
00:30:47.780 namely Jagmeet Singh waving his finger, you know, shame, shame.
00:30:53.580 And yet, will he and his party vote against this government?
00:30:57.720 No.
00:30:58.920 To them, the operative number is 2025.
00:31:02.420 Operative, why?
00:31:03.380 Well, because that's six years of service for Jagmeet Singh.
00:31:07.680 That means he gets a pension.
00:31:09.420 That guy is despicable.
00:31:11.160 Even in light of a mass murder, that will not change his mind
00:31:16.140 for his insatiable quest to be living for the rest of his life
00:31:20.420 off the taxpayer teat.
00:31:22.680 Unbelievable.
00:31:23.580 And if you're an NDP supporter, you've got to ask yourself, why?
00:31:28.940 Yeah, he goes around talking about democracy all the time.
00:31:32.560 But he's disenfranchised his own voters who did not vote for Justin Trudeau.
00:31:36.640 He's disenfranchised the Conservatives.
00:31:39.320 And he's skewing parliamentary democracy.
00:31:42.480 He's the real sticky widget here.
00:31:44.860 Because Justin Trudeau is not capable of doing any of the things that he wants to do to Canada
00:31:49.140 without the support of Jagmeet Singh, who incidentally brought his baby to the House of Commons yesterday.
00:31:53.720 I saw that.
00:31:54.720 I've had to take my kids to some strange places because they've never actually even had a babysitter that they weren't related to.
00:32:01.580 So I just, you know, like I'm a mom.
00:32:03.220 I take my kids places.
00:32:04.200 But I'm pretty sure Jagmeet Singh has a wife.
00:32:07.620 And what was more odd about all of it was there was a liberal MP who called Jagmeet's baby like a little person or a little human or a small human or something.
00:32:23.020 And not in a cute way, just because they didn't want to misgender the baby, which I think is a girl.
00:32:32.720 Be careful.
00:32:33.940 You don't want to be brought before a Human Rights Commission for misgendering somebody.
00:32:39.620 You know what this reminds me of?
00:32:41.520 There's a brilliant movie, folks, if you haven't seen it, it's called There Will Be Blood.
00:32:46.860 And it's about the beginning of the American oil industry.
00:32:50.240 And there's a con man going around trying to get people to give up their mineral rights because he wants their oil.
00:32:58.040 He sees the future and he knows it's going to be oil driven.
00:33:02.800 And what he does is he goes to an orphanage and he adopts a child, a handicapped child, the child's deaf, just so he can bring him along as a prop.
00:33:14.220 Because when he does his sales pitch, he's hoping people will have sympathy for him because he's a widower with a handicapped child.
00:33:24.320 That's the vibe I got from Jagmeet Singh in the house yesterday.
00:33:28.000 I just don't understand what point he's trying to prove.
00:33:30.960 He's rich.
00:33:31.980 Have somebody watch your kid for a couple hours.
00:33:35.980 You know what I mean?
00:33:36.880 Like, again, I say I've taken my kids a lot of places where I just did because my husband works out of town and I'm the mom.
00:33:45.920 I take my kids places.
00:33:47.120 But he's infinitely wealthy.
00:33:48.920 You're telling me you couldn't get somebody to watch your kids while you're in the House of Commons.
00:33:53.920 Oh.
00:33:54.180 Your kid while you're in the house.
00:33:55.400 Sure he could.
00:33:56.360 Sheila, I know for sure.
00:33:57.500 You have a point.
00:33:58.060 He's a working parent.
00:33:59.720 He's really relatable.
00:34:01.120 Can't you see?
00:34:02.340 Yeah.
00:34:02.620 No.
00:34:04.200 Everything is done by design.
00:34:06.460 And you're right.
00:34:07.080 This whole idea, look, I'm a working parent, which is false.
00:34:09.660 I'm just like you.
00:34:10.780 I have the same struggles as you.
00:34:12.420 Yeah.
00:34:12.620 Except you're wearing a Rolex.
00:34:14.460 So no, you don't.
00:34:15.360 And I'm wearing a Fitbit.
00:34:16.540 Okay.
00:34:17.500 And driving a BMW M3.
00:34:19.740 And the thing is, I know he has this staff because I saw it myself on Remembrance Day, Sheila.
00:34:28.240 Maurizio and I were there to cover Remembrance Day in Ottawa.
00:34:31.680 And we were across the street from Jagmeet Singh.
00:34:36.080 But it was like a, I don't know, a wall of human beings protecting him like a bubble in case there was some impolite question being slung from a journalist.
00:34:47.240 And there must have been five or six people in that entourage.
00:34:51.560 And you're telling me not one of them could watch the kid during question period?
00:34:57.220 Look, and I'm all for putting your kids first.
00:35:01.100 If your kid is the most important thing you do every day, great.
00:35:05.440 Maybe you don't need to be a parliamentarian then.
00:35:08.420 Maybe you don't, like there's this idea that you think you can do it all and be it all and none of it suffers.
00:35:15.060 That's absolutely not true.
00:35:16.340 I know this. I'm a mom.
00:35:17.620 That's why I didn't even start this job full time until my littlest one was in school full time.
00:35:23.440 So, like, I'm happy that he sees his time with his child as important, his little person as important.
00:35:31.200 So maybe don't be a parliamentarian.
00:35:33.260 You could just go spend all the time you want with your daughter.
00:35:36.160 I think the nation might be a better place.
00:35:38.440 Well, Sheila, I always look for the silver lining, as you know.
00:35:41.600 So let's be grateful that at least during question period with the little person, Jagmeet Singh didn't chest feed the little darling.
00:35:51.580 You know, and there's a lot.
00:35:52.760 It gets a little hectic and frisky sometimes in the House of Commons with the screaming and the jeering and the banging on the tables.
00:35:59.040 I'm not sure if that's the best place for a baby.
00:36:00.840 Yeah, the baby behaves more politely and more civilly than many of the...
00:36:08.500 Sometimes the prime minister runs across the floor and elbows a lady in the boots.
00:36:13.540 Oh, remember that?
00:36:14.600 Things can happen there.
00:36:16.040 Maybe leave the baby at home.
00:36:18.120 Yeah, it's not a safe space, Jagmeet.
00:36:20.240 Like, they're always complaining about decorum and we have to be more civil.
00:36:26.860 Well, if it's so bad that you're complaining about it, maybe it's not the best place for your child.
00:36:32.380 Yeah.
00:36:33.080 And you know what?
00:36:34.340 We should jump ahead because speaking of children and speaking of misgendering and all that other nonsense, I see.
00:36:41.360 And you've got skin in the game here, Sheila.
00:36:43.480 I do.
00:36:44.360 The International Rugby Governing Body.
00:36:46.640 I thought they had already done this, but it says they have banned transgendered athletes from competing against women.
00:36:54.980 Good for you.
00:36:56.900 You know, this topic came up the other day on Toronto Talk Radio, and it was all about how people are getting hysterical over an issue that doesn't exist.
00:37:07.540 That was the narrative.
00:37:08.720 Of course, the females, the biological females on the panel I listened to, they weren't allowed to weigh in.
00:37:15.040 It was just men, and there was another guy, he has a connection with the Women's National Soccer Team, and there's a transgendered, I don't even know what the pronoun is, a trend person, I guess, on that.
00:37:27.880 And, you know, it's really nothing to see here.
00:37:31.000 Oh, no, no.
00:37:31.560 There is a lot to see here.
00:37:33.340 We've gone through it time and time again, Sheila, that with muscle mass, cardiovascular, testosterone, biological-
00:37:43.040 Tentity, bone density, everything, yeah.
00:37:45.240 Everything.
00:37:45.920 And, you know, was ever the case that there's been separate male and female divisions in every sport except equestrian and auto racing, in which the horse and the car are the equalizers.
00:37:58.720 And we have seen failures like Leah Thomas, who was a mediocre male swimmer at best, never going to get to the podium, go into female swimming, and she's, you know, cleaning the field in terms of running away with victories.
00:38:17.940 I say to the international rugby governing body, good for you.
00:38:22.800 Thank God, Sheila, there is some strong men and strong woman out there that says we are not going to put up with this nonsense from, and when I look at the radical transgender movement, I see a lot of mental illness there.
00:38:39.420 We are not going to bend the knee.
00:38:42.940 We are going to get a load of this, because I thought you lefties love this, follow the science, which is to say that a biological man cannot, especially in a high-contact sport, which is rugby, compete against a biological woman, because we're looking at serious injuries if we allow this to continue.
00:39:03.280 I see this as the peak, the pinnacle of misogyny.
00:39:09.280 This is the pinnacle of woman hate, that a biological man can be a better woman than a woman, than me, than my daughter, who's over in Ireland right now playing rugby.
00:39:19.700 That's right.
00:39:20.060 This idea that we should be perfectly okay with opportunities being stolen from high-performing female athletes, their scholarships being taken, their sponsorships being taken, their spot-on teams being taken after they've worked their whole lives, that we should be okay in the name of tolerance is outrageous.
00:39:43.380 That is, woman hate, I don't care how you slice it, when you are telling a biological man that he's a better woman than your daughter, who's trained and trained and trained for the spot she's in, that's outrageous.
00:39:58.560 And I have to question why these male, biological male rugby players feel entitled to hit women all day, because at the end of the day, that's what this comes down to.
00:40:14.580 They're going to get on a field where nobody is wearing equipment.
00:40:18.600 The only equipment they wear sometimes is to protect for cauliflower ears and a mouth guard.
00:40:24.580 That's it.
00:40:25.840 They're coming into contact with women.
00:40:28.560 Smaller bodies, smaller bone density, smaller cardiovascular health.
00:40:32.460 Their hearts and lungs are smaller.
00:40:35.040 This is what we're dealing with.
00:40:36.680 And I question why these men feel entitled to get onto a field and smash women like that.
00:40:44.320 There's me making up for it.
00:40:45.700 It feels like compensating for something.
00:40:47.880 You know what?
00:40:48.940 I think you're right.
00:40:49.840 I think this is the ultimate expression of misogyny.
00:40:53.520 And if we look at it further, I mean, at the end of the day, sports, it's just fun and games.
00:40:57.780 It's the toy department of the department store, if you want to call it that.
00:41:01.760 But in the bigger picture right now, especially in this country, thanks to Justin Trudeau answering a question at a town hall meeting from a radical transgender activist, you have transgendered...
00:41:15.760 Well, actually, they're not even transgendered.
00:41:17.920 They are biological males.
00:41:19.500 Just identified.
00:41:19.900 Simply, yeah.
00:41:20.560 Simply saying, I identify as a woman.
00:41:22.480 Bingo.
00:41:23.240 You're in prison with women that you can prey on.
00:41:27.080 People are in prison for crimes of moral perpetuity or whatever they call it.
00:41:31.620 Yes.
00:41:32.280 Or lying for being dishonest.
00:41:33.760 Like, their criminality often involves dishonesty.
00:41:37.020 So why wouldn't they lie about this thing either to get an easy ride?
00:41:41.560 Yeah.
00:41:41.840 And where is the feminist movement when it comes to that?
00:41:45.120 Well, I met one a couple of years ago.
00:41:47.280 Sherry DeNovo used to be an NDP MPP here in Ontario.
00:41:51.240 And I brought up about this whole issue of trans people in sports.
00:41:55.560 And all she would do was bark into the microphone, trans women are real women.
00:42:00.560 Trans women are real women.
00:42:01.860 That's not a discussion.
00:42:03.160 That's not answering the question.
00:42:04.620 That's not addressing the inherent problems here.
00:42:07.380 And as much as I say, good for you, International Rugby Union, for having the balls to stand up to this insanity.
00:42:15.060 Shame on you, NCAA, for being such cowards, for letting that circus act, Leah Thomas, jump into the pool with real women and win those championships.
00:42:28.260 They could have done exactly what the rugby union has done, Sheila.
00:42:32.260 Here, I'll put it out to you as a biological woman.
00:42:36.460 I mean, look at that.
00:42:37.160 Look at this.
00:42:37.500 Come on.
00:42:38.220 What is this?
00:42:39.120 The freak shows coming in to the swim meet?
00:42:42.180 Give me a break.
00:42:43.040 Look at the size difference.
00:42:46.580 Unbelievable.
00:42:47.740 Sheila, why?
00:42:48.620 It's just so shameless.
00:42:49.660 It's so shameless.
00:42:51.360 So if we can see the rugby union doing this, taking a just position, a scientific position, why couldn't the NCAA do so in the United States?
00:43:04.700 I guess maybe rugby is not a completely woke sport yet.
00:43:08.740 When you have people, you know, engaged in feats of strength on a field with no equipment, it's a little bit of a different culture than a college swimming sport, right?
00:43:21.420 I sent the team in HQ this clip from 60 Minutes Australia, and they are interviewing a doctor who is a transgender, like male to female, still an athlete, I guess, a golfer.
00:43:41.780 And they're defending Hannah Mountsey, Hannah Mountsey, and this is a transgender, so male to female rug player who has now been banned from participating in the league.
00:44:01.660 And just watch this.
00:44:04.520 It feels like you're living in the twilight zone, especially the remarks, because this doctor says the only people who seem upset about this is male, older male administrators.
00:44:16.400 You mean like you, doctor?
00:44:18.100 But anyway, it's not older male administrators, it's female athletes and their moms, like me.
00:44:27.080 Anyway, watch this.
00:44:28.020 I mean, it's just, it's the twilight zone.
00:44:30.080 It feels like we're being gaslit in real time.
00:44:33.000 Do you accept the AFL's argument that you do have a size advantage over some of your opponents?
00:44:39.240 I think the biggest issue is not necessarily that I'm too big or too strong now.
00:44:42.440 It's more, OK, you're already big, you're already strong, whatever, but what if you were to get into that elite training environment and they were to build you up, put on an extra 15 kilos and you just push everyone aside.
00:44:56.940 But physiologically, that's just not going to happen.
00:44:59.540 The people who seem to have the biggest problem with this is male administrators, but the female competitors haven't raised their voices at all.
00:45:07.700 Lisa Watson knows better than most what Hannah's going through.
00:45:11.980 She's a doctor who specialises in transgender health issues and is also a transgender athlete.
00:45:20.460 After two years of hormone replacement therapy, she says Hannah's body has no residual benefits from her time as a male.
00:45:29.000 Prior to her transitioning, she had a V8 motor powering this big muscle frame.
00:45:38.420 Now she's transitioned and her testosterone level has dropped and her muscle mass has decreased and her strength and stamina has decreased.
00:45:48.940 She's now got a little four-cylinder engine, so she's actually at a physical disadvantage.
00:45:54.760 Give me a break.
00:45:56.840 Dr. Watson suspects they're at up.
00:45:58.580 Like, it's just the neck.
00:46:02.120 Like, look at that person's neck and then look at mine.
00:46:04.320 Oh, my God.
00:46:05.060 I'm a somewhat fit woman.
00:46:09.160 Look, the walking up the stairs, it's like to say that this person doesn't have a biological advantage over the female athletes is crazy.
00:46:21.140 I mean, it's just madness.
00:46:22.540 You can see it with your eyes and then to make the comparison that, oh, they had a V8 and now it's like they're running on a four-cylinder.
00:46:31.820 So that's what you think of female athletes, that they're just some crappy Dodge Neon?
00:46:36.080 Is that what you think?
00:46:37.580 Like, it's just so sexist and crazy.
00:46:42.040 When you watch it, you've got no biological advantage.
00:46:46.320 Are you hard of sight?
00:46:48.060 Like, you can see it, the rippling muscles across the chest.
00:46:53.760 Yeah.
00:46:54.660 Well, Sheila, first of all, I'm just wondering if you can do the show solo for the next five minutes because I feel like I have to go and boil myself right now after watching those two.
00:47:05.520 But seriously, of course, the doctor doing this regendering surgery or whatever you're going to call it is supportive because, as always, folks, follow the money.
00:47:21.660 This is good for business.
00:47:24.040 It's not good for female sports.
00:47:25.940 It's good for his business.
00:47:28.800 And if you think I'm going to call that grotesque facsimile of a woman her, you've got another thing coming.
00:47:36.360 That's what it's all about in that case.
00:47:38.920 And, of course, what a, yet again, what a softball interview, right?
00:47:43.900 Just, you know, throwing out, well, some people think and not challenging, you know, the answers, you know, the propaganda coming from these fake females.
00:47:53.340 And so I think, Sheila, we'll have to watch other sports around the world to see if we'll get a critical mass of what's happening in terms of the rugby union.
00:48:05.660 Because I'll tell you, one of the ground zero events some 20 years ago, because I, you know, back when Ezra Levant ran Western Standard magazine, I would freelance from time to time.
00:48:16.780 And it was a story out in British Columbia where a male decided he's going to be a female mountain bike racer.
00:48:27.180 Guess what?
00:48:28.100 Yep.
00:48:29.700 Cleaned the clocks of all the female competitors.
00:48:33.860 And the most grotesque story of all.
00:48:35.980 And, geez, imagine that, Sheila.
00:48:37.820 What we thought was a freak show come to life.
00:48:40.760 That was just somebody ahead of the curve 20 years later.
00:48:43.320 There was a major race in which he won.
00:48:47.540 And they have the podium.
00:48:49.020 He's in first place and two biological women in second and third.
00:48:52.960 And the boyfriend of the silver medalist ran up to the podium and put an oversized T-shirt on her, which said 100% real woman.
00:49:04.720 And for that, the second place finisher was suspended by the Canadian Cycling Association or whatever the governing body is for mountain bike racing.
00:49:15.740 Can you imagine?
00:49:16.820 For telling the truth, you are going to sit out so we can have this frank and female continue to clean the clocks of other cyclists.
00:49:25.140 What a grotesque situation driven by, I think, wokeness and political correctness.
00:49:32.320 Because there ain't no science here, Sheila.
00:49:34.520 Because the science says this is offside.
00:49:38.600 And, again, I reiterate the way I always do.
00:49:41.480 I don't care how you live your life.
00:49:43.620 I'm too busy working and taking care of my family to care how other people live their lives.
00:49:48.600 That's right.
00:49:48.980 But you don't get to steal opportunities from girls.
00:49:52.200 I'm not even saying don't play sports.
00:49:54.460 But you've got to figure something else out.
00:49:56.780 Because there are too many girls working too hard for their opportunities to be robbed of them at the last minute.
00:50:03.720 Sheila, I'm not kidding here.
00:50:05.560 And I would actually tune in as a spectator or go see it live.
00:50:09.600 We have male division, female division, and other.
00:50:14.080 Anything goes.
00:50:15.080 It is a sporting gong show.
00:50:17.020 If you're a 450-pound ex-linebacker, if you're a 98-pound female, don't care how you identify.
00:50:26.400 Just throw them in one big ring like it's literally a circus.
00:50:32.020 I would watch that.
00:50:33.240 It would be so bad.
00:50:34.500 It would actually be good.
00:50:35.320 Well, I would hope for something a little more structured than David Menzies' gender-diverse Royal Rumble.
00:50:41.300 I would hope that it was.
00:50:44.160 But again, this is what Linda Blade advocates for.
00:50:47.260 She says there has to be a different category.
00:50:49.840 There has to be a different league.
00:50:52.640 Everybody benefits from sport when it's fair.
00:50:57.280 And that's the whole idea of sportsmanship.
00:50:59.680 We have a word around fairness and being collegial and treating others with respect and admiring everybody else's achievements and making yourself better so that you can compete on an even playing field with somebody else.
00:51:15.880 That's sportsmanship.
00:51:17.280 This is the opposite of sportsmanship.
00:51:19.780 You know, there has to be another way.
00:51:21.280 Indeed, Sheila.
00:51:23.100 And all I got to say is this.
00:51:25.160 Somewhere, trans cat weeps.
00:51:29.240 Anyway.
00:51:30.820 One more thing.
00:51:31.640 We should get to one more story before we go.
00:51:33.620 I get so fired up about it.
00:51:34.880 I think we have comments, too.
00:51:36.080 But your choice.
00:51:38.460 Ladies first, as they say.
00:51:40.080 Or is that, I don't know, gender offensive?
00:51:44.640 I'm still good with chivalry.
00:51:45.960 And I get fired up on the rugby issue because the difference between male and female rugby is, I mean, just watch on a split screen.
00:51:55.360 The female rugby players who are excellent in their own right versus the male rugby players.
00:52:00.200 The speed level is different.
00:52:01.660 The hitting is different.
00:52:02.720 And I say this as someone who's a fan of ladies rugby.
00:52:06.480 It's just so, so much different.
00:52:09.340 And it's just so dangerous for those girls to be competing against a boy.
00:52:13.740 Anyway, let's get, because it's in the YouTube headline.
00:52:17.480 The China doesn't like conservatives.
00:52:19.320 And I find this interesting that this is a topic now.
00:52:25.340 So it sounds like the Chinese government, a federal research unit, whatever that is, when they're too busy looking for people saying mean things about Justin Trudeau online so that they can have their bank account seized.
00:52:38.460 They actually did some real intelligence and they think the Chinese Communist Party has an information operation that is aimed to discourage Canadians of Chinese heritage from voting for the conservatives in the last election.
00:52:55.160 Thanks, tips.
00:52:57.440 That's how Kenny Chu lost his seat.
00:52:59.160 Thanks for showing up after the fact.
00:53:00.840 This is something these people are supposed to be watching out for as the election's happening and putting a stop to it, right?
00:53:07.340 Like that's elections integrity.
00:53:09.020 But they're too busy cracking down on people who write uncomfortable books about the prime minister, like Justin Trudeau.
00:53:15.700 They're worried about that.
00:53:17.060 They're cracking down on truckers who are dissidents with regard to Justin Trudeau's COVID lockdowns.
00:53:23.280 That's who these people are keeping their gaze to.
00:53:27.440 Instead, China is intervening on behalf of the liberals and nobody seems to think it's a big deal until, you know, six months after the last election.
00:53:37.420 They report on something everybody already knew.
00:53:42.940 And I know Aaron O'Toole, he said what, Sheila, that this potentially cost the conservatives seven or nine seats.
00:53:50.580 Yeah, when he wasn't costing them seats, the Chinese government was costing them seats.
00:53:54.780 And by the way, there's absolutely, even if he's right, there's no way to prove that statement.
00:54:00.080 But if it did cost seats in close ridings and we're looking at a liberal minority government, I mean, that's significant.
00:54:09.000 Another seven or nine seats going blue instead of red.
00:54:13.260 Once again, we can never prove it.
00:54:14.900 But, you know, it's funny, I'm listening to all the interviews on talk radio as I'm coming in today about this story, Sheila.
00:54:23.640 And the one question none of the legacy media journalists or talk show hosts will ask is simply this.
00:54:32.560 Why would the Communist Party of China or the government of China, well, they're linked together, there's no difference.
00:54:41.620 Yeah, yeah.
00:54:42.160 Why would they be anti-conservative and pro-liberal in the first place?
00:54:46.260 I think that's an obvious question to ask.
00:54:48.780 And I think we know the answer.
00:54:50.100 I mean, Justin Trudeau has stated he has a basic admiration for the dictatorship of China in terms of getting things done.
00:54:57.720 And boy, is he embracing that toolbook as he continues to clamp down on our rights, liberties and freedoms.
00:55:06.140 But, you know, it's just appalling that the elephant in the room isn't even addressed about this story.
00:55:14.000 No.
00:55:14.860 I mean, and Justin Trudeau's liberals, they claim to be, you know, the world's climate leaders.
00:55:19.500 But they also had that joint committee funded by the government.
00:55:24.320 They were funding this part of the Chinese government that was like their climate task force.
00:55:29.680 The Chinese government's climate task force basically was being funded by Canada.
00:55:33.920 And they, you know, they crack down on Canadian oil and gas.
00:55:38.480 They don't advocate for export pipelines.
00:55:42.520 They attack Canadian coal.
00:55:44.200 Canadian electricity has to be green, thus more expensive, which hurts our manufacturing sector.
00:55:50.560 It hurts consumers.
00:55:52.340 But they turn a complete blind eye to all the things that China does.
00:55:56.760 I think it's one new coal fire generation station a week.
00:56:01.200 They're the world's largest consumer of coal.
00:56:03.860 And in Alberta here, where we use clean coal technology developed in part by the oil sands,
00:56:10.820 they use oil sands technology in the scrubbers.
00:56:15.180 And we're not allowed to use coal anymore because Justin Trudeau said so, you know.
00:56:19.720 And Sheila, Sebastian Vettel said so too.
00:56:23.480 The Formula One driver that wears a shirt to Canada.
00:56:27.200 The guy whose country's buying all the natural gas from Russia.
00:56:30.880 Yeah, thanks.
00:56:31.400 Thanks.
00:56:33.860 It's like, how do you make sense of this?
00:56:36.920 Unbelievable.
00:56:37.920 Well, we do have some chats, I'm sure, to get to.
00:56:40.740 We do.
00:56:41.220 Before the show ends.
00:56:42.380 So if you can take it away, Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:56:46.220 I feel happy that we got to everything in the YouTube headline.
00:56:49.440 Oh, yes.
00:56:49.900 That's important.
00:56:51.220 I get the emails.
00:56:53.520 I know.
00:56:55.900 Alrighty.
00:56:56.260 So we've got Sojourner gives us five bucks, a 22% pay raise, which this is with regard
00:57:02.460 to Teresa Tam.
00:57:03.280 We're all sacrificing.
00:57:04.500 We're all in this together.
00:57:05.420 The common good, not.
00:57:06.720 Yeah.
00:57:07.160 These people who are telling you that we're all in this together, they're in it for themselves.
00:57:12.760 We're in it together.
00:57:14.820 Not them.
00:57:15.720 They're over there.
00:57:17.140 The optics stink for sure.
00:57:19.500 And by the way, Sojourner, isn't that the name of Thor's hammer?
00:57:23.420 Or do I stand corrected here?
00:57:25.620 I don't know what Thor's hammer's name is.
00:57:29.900 I think Thor's going to be a chick in the next movie.
00:57:33.960 Of course.
00:57:34.760 Because they did that in the comics, and it's working so well there with comic sales just
00:57:39.360 plotting.
00:57:40.600 Yeah.
00:57:41.420 I mean, I think Pixar is learning a hard lesson right now with their like Buzz Lightyear
00:57:46.040 thing.
00:57:47.680 I know.
00:57:49.660 You take a movie and a concept that's just completely played out after 20 years of just
00:57:54.560 cranking out movies about the same thing for the sake of it.
00:57:57.820 They've taken this like cute movie, beaten it to death, and then made it woke.
00:58:04.820 I can't figure out why nobody's watching anymore.
00:58:08.020 I don't know.
00:58:08.560 Maybe the first two were okay.
00:58:09.800 And do you know what, Sheila?
00:58:11.040 If Pixar ever does a live action movie of Buzz Lightyear, I suggest our colleague Adam
00:58:18.100 Seuss plays the title character.
00:58:20.900 Don't you think there's a resemblance there?
00:58:23.060 I don't know if we can later on put up a picture of Buzz Lightyear and Adam Seuss, but
00:58:27.080 I'm telling you.
00:58:27.940 They have the same like square jaw and everything.
00:58:31.040 The like barrel chest.
00:58:34.660 He's barrel chested like a wannabe female rugby player.
00:58:37.760 Um, okay.
00:58:39.960 Annalisa 1964.
00:58:41.640 This is David Menzies fan club president.
00:58:44.560 She says, uh, she gives $20.
00:58:47.080 That's great.
00:58:47.680 Thank you.
00:58:48.020 Thank you.
00:58:48.120 So I, I, I, I poke jest at you every day because, well, I don't see what you see.
00:58:54.960 I'm kidding.
00:58:55.720 I'm kidding.
00:58:56.920 Um, hello, my two favorite rebels.
00:58:59.320 I missed the show yesterday, but I heard it was national kiss day.
00:59:03.260 Yes.
00:59:04.960 Not, not to be confused by the way, Sheila with international kiss day that's in July.
00:59:09.760 And I believe it's January 12th.
00:59:12.440 Please make note of this, uh, Sheila and Annalisa.
00:59:15.580 Um, January 12th, I believe is international kiss a ginger day.
00:59:20.720 So take that information and do with it what you will.
00:59:25.960 You're a ginger.
00:59:27.260 My husband's a ginger.
00:59:29.560 Um, anyhow, Sheila, would you be so kind and give my sweet Menzies a big smoochy woochy for
00:59:34.960 me, I've never been so pleased to work in Alberta than exactly this moment right now.
00:59:42.160 I would love to Annalisa, but I can't.
00:59:44.480 And I know, uh, Sheila's, uh, dear husband works in the oil sands, which I'm sure he could
00:59:50.200 probably take me one, two, three, just like that.
00:59:53.120 So I'm going to stay in my safe space of the greater Toronto area.
01:00:00.240 Only the people who know me in real life know what my husband looks like.
01:00:03.820 And, um, she's a regular guy, regular guy that might open a can of whoop-ass if you,
01:00:13.120 uh, get anywhere too close to his wife.
01:00:15.460 So he's currently working on a golf cart in the garage, brought a golf cart home from a
01:00:23.380 farm sale and he's not done any actual work since that stupid thing came home.
01:00:31.160 Anyway, enough about my complaining.
01:00:33.020 Aqua Skies, three, six, three, six, two dollars.
01:00:35.500 Apparently Michelle Rempel got okay to run for UCP leadership.
01:00:39.080 I did see that because she, you have to hold a membership for a certain amount of time before
01:00:43.820 you can run for leader, unless you can get the party to waive that.
01:00:48.040 Um, and they did now I'm not, I don't know how serious she is about actually running for
01:00:53.300 leader.
01:00:53.680 Um, I think maybe she said she was running for leader as like, uh, I gotta unhitch my
01:00:59.580 horse from the Patrick Brown cart and maybe this is the best way to do it, um, by abandoning
01:01:06.320 that, uh, sinking ship and then saying that you're contemplating running for the UCP leadership
01:01:12.500 while also not running for the UCP leadership.
01:01:14.840 We'll see.
01:01:16.200 Um, I don't know.
01:01:18.400 But, but Sheila, here's the question.
01:01:20.000 I, you know, I, I buy into your theory by the way, uh, create a convenient excuse, but
01:01:25.600 what in blue hell was Michelle Rempel thinking?
01:01:29.500 I have no idea attaching her, her wagon to that Titanic, uh, captain Patrick Brown.
01:01:36.420 I mean, uh, I mean, you're, you're closer, you know, to these, uh, Alberta baseball.
01:01:42.400 I don't know.
01:01:42.960 No, I have no idea.
01:01:44.100 I've not, no clue.
01:01:46.000 I don't even have an inkling.
01:01:48.080 Why?
01:01:48.820 I have absolutely no clue.
01:01:50.640 No, no clue whatsoever.
01:01:52.640 I incredible.
01:01:54.120 Yeah.
01:01:54.720 I have absolutely no clue.
01:01:56.880 Um, Becca Henderson, a buck.
01:01:59.500 It's disgusting that Trudeau took on, stood on the graves for politics, just like he visited
01:02:04.680 the indigenous graves for a photo shoot, but went surfing and ignored indigenous people
01:02:08.320 on the holiday.
01:02:09.060 He created an excellent point.
01:02:12.000 I almost forgot about that.
01:02:14.120 Yeah.
01:02:14.360 He went to that.
01:02:16.760 Uh, well, it wasn't a mass grave.
01:02:20.560 No, but before he went to Tofino, he went for the photo op in Saskatchewan where the graves
01:02:27.660 were rediscovered.
01:02:28.840 It sounds like it was, uh, uh, neglected cemetery.
01:02:33.800 Um, and so he stood there with the teddy bear in hand, got that photo taken.
01:02:38.260 Then he takes off surfing in Tofino on the day that he created to remember residential
01:02:44.600 and wouldn't meet with anybody.
01:02:47.520 She's just ridiculous, but you got your holiday.
01:02:50.000 So quit asking him for stuff.
01:02:51.760 Okay.
01:02:52.620 Yeah.
01:02:53.120 Boy, talk about leading by example.
01:02:55.080 On that particular national day of mourning, we're supposed to go surfing.
01:03:00.600 We're supposed to embrace water sports.
01:03:02.500 What a disgrace.
01:03:03.340 I, I get again, you know, we went through that laundry list of Trudeau scandals.
01:03:07.600 We had forgotten that collectively, Sheila.
01:03:10.340 They, there's so many, right?
01:03:12.440 I know.
01:03:12.740 But, uh, uh, uh, but it's hard.
01:03:15.300 It's hard.
01:03:15.760 We should write a book or at least keep some sort of spreadsheet, um, because people forget.
01:03:22.220 Yeah, they really do.
01:03:24.660 Uh, Becca Henderson gives us a buck and says, it's a complete lie that women haven't stood
01:03:28.700 up to men in women's sports.
01:03:30.400 The women who had been demonized, scared other women who wanted to stand up.
01:03:35.480 That is an excellent point.
01:03:36.500 Actually, there are some women who do stand up.
01:03:39.320 Um, but pretty quickly, as David points out, even if, um, you're engaged in even a little
01:03:44.840 bit of activism about, you know, like maybe you shouldn't be able to give me a concussion
01:03:49.560 on the field, um, they, they are the ones that get attacked.
01:03:54.720 They are the ones who, who end up, you know, with their career destroyed.
01:03:59.020 But at the same time, if you are catastrophically injured, isn't your career destroyed anyway?
01:04:03.900 Yes.
01:04:04.480 And here's the thing.
01:04:05.900 What we need is critical mass because what are the sports authorities going to do?
01:04:10.180 Fire all the biological female athletes.
01:04:13.240 For example, in these N double C NCAA swim meets, Sheila, when you had Leah Thomas,
01:04:19.560 that male competing against those biological females, my fantasy, which never came to fruition
01:04:27.100 was that they would all line up waiting for the starter's gun to go off, to dive into the
01:04:32.500 pool.
01:04:32.940 And the starter's gun goes off and Leah Thomas jumps in the pool and all the other real woman
01:04:40.240 swimmers just walk to the dressing room.
01:04:43.300 Well, you're going to lose anyway, right?
01:04:45.360 Pardon me?
01:04:45.820 What difference?
01:04:46.500 Oh yeah, they're going to lose anyway.
01:04:47.640 But what a statement that would make.
01:04:50.600 And, you know, and to show what a circus that is, that Leah Thomas wins a race in which only
01:04:56.480 Leah Thomas was the competitor.
01:04:58.940 I think that might've started some wheels moving because it's an embarrassment for the
01:05:05.320 NCAA, you know?
01:05:06.940 And so that's what we need.
01:05:08.260 It's critical mass to stand up to the lunatic fringe.
01:05:12.040 Yeah.
01:05:14.720 Mandy 1971 gives us a buck and says, will you be covering the James Topp meeting with federal
01:05:20.020 representatives?
01:05:20.880 They're telling the truth to the Canadian public.
01:05:23.180 Well, what just happened there?
01:05:26.400 We did have a journalist yesterday at the arrival of James Topp in Ottawa.
01:05:32.060 Um, so, uh, stay tuned for that.
01:05:34.520 We had William there on the scene.
01:05:35.740 So he's just ripping it up in Ottawa.
01:05:37.760 Like I said, there's going to be, uh, liberal MPs who are just like wearing disguises, like
01:05:42.860 wearing Groucho Marx disguises to hide from him because, um, he's basically running up to
01:05:50.040 the street.
01:05:50.400 Anybody wearing a suit on the streets of Ottawa, he's going to talk to them.
01:05:55.420 And, um, he's really, he's gotten quite a few and caught them, um, really off guard where
01:06:01.060 they say some, uh, they either say honest things or they screw up completely.
01:06:06.580 Oh, um, Sheila, uh, a fake nose, mustache and glasses.
01:06:10.280 That's not going to, uh, fool our William.
01:06:12.880 Who's really hitting it out of the park there.
01:06:14.980 Uh, I'm thinking full burka, you know, maybe that might, uh, throw William.
01:06:20.380 I'm off the set, but he's doing a great job there.
01:06:24.980 He's doing a fantastic job.
01:06:26.780 He's and like, he just started with us.
01:06:29.400 Yeah.
01:06:29.600 And it just shows how lazy the media is in Ottawa.
01:06:33.940 Like the liberal MPs are just out there on the street.
01:06:36.760 All you have to do is go talk to them.
01:06:38.380 Oh, I'm afraid my dear, you're wrong about that.
01:06:42.040 It's not laziness.
01:06:43.400 It's not biting the hand that feeds it's compliance.
01:06:47.500 They know what's going to happen to them.
01:06:49.360 If they ask him polite questions and which is to say, they won't be asking any questions
01:06:54.380 that much longer.
01:06:55.920 Uh, the, you know, the, the attack dogs, the pit bulls, they become trained seals on team
01:07:03.400 Trudeau.
01:07:03.960 It is pathetic.
01:07:06.700 I see this.
01:07:08.100 Maybe, uh, we can dig up that.
01:07:10.160 It, Efron, I haven't seen how, um, or Olivia, a couple of comments down about a water fountain
01:07:17.580 lifeguard.
01:07:18.580 If that's a thing, maybe you can find an article.
01:07:20.660 Cause I'm kind of interested in learning about that.
01:07:22.580 I thought I knew all the dumb things Edmonton was up to lately, but I didn't learn about
01:07:25.960 that.
01:07:26.200 What do you mean?
01:07:27.780 We'll get to it in a second.
01:07:31.820 Becca Henderson gives us a buck.
01:07:33.520 China doesn't like the conservatives.
01:07:34.880 More reason to be conservative.
01:07:36.800 Yeah.
01:07:37.120 Um, yeah, I, I said something like that in the morning meeting, somebody was complaining
01:07:42.640 and they said, Sheila, call off your dogs, meaning my journalists.
01:07:45.780 And I said, that's how you get more dogs.
01:07:47.500 Also don't call the journalists dogs, but yeah.
01:07:50.620 And also, I mean, talk about, you know, a dubious endorsement.
01:07:57.020 The communist party of China endorses the liberal party of Canada.
01:08:02.360 Wow.
01:08:02.420 No, it just endorses them, goes out of their way to spend resources and expend resources
01:08:07.540 to meddle in Canadian politics on behalf of the liberals.
01:08:10.600 It goes a little further than endorsing, doesn't it?
01:08:14.000 Incredible.
01:08:15.900 Uh, joyful from the heart gives us a buck.
01:08:17.640 Hope this makes it in.
01:08:18.460 And do you think we can do something, a petition to get the VAX requirements for truckers removed?
01:08:23.000 It isn't fair.
01:08:24.020 You know what?
01:08:24.460 I think there might be something in the works.
01:08:27.780 Um, and I know that they are finally re-examining the VAX mandate for our military, because while
01:08:36.520 the bureaucrats in Ottawa were allowed to go back to work, uh, without getting the jab,
01:08:42.600 the military were still required to after we already, we, the federal government made sure
01:08:48.440 that they all got the Moderna vaccine, um, which was ultimately then not recommended
01:08:53.080 for people of, men of military fighting age, which isn't that convenient.
01:08:57.840 Sheila, how is that possibly justified that the pencil net geek bureaucrats, uh, have a different
01:09:07.300 standard from the actual soldiers that might have to make the ultimate sacrifice?
01:09:12.640 Um, this, where's the science?
01:09:16.200 What, what, where's the political reason for that matter?
01:09:19.360 What is the rationale for this, uh, double standard?
01:09:23.000 I would suggest that still, even though it's changing and getting so insufferably woke, at
01:09:30.660 least in the upper ranks and in management, the majority of people in the military probably
01:09:35.640 wouldn't vote for Justin Trudeau.
01:09:37.580 So what's the political price to pay?
01:09:39.700 Whereas bureaucrats generally vote liberal.
01:09:42.880 You know what, Sheila, you've done it again.
01:09:44.720 I never thought about that, but that is how crass and vulgar this government is.
01:09:49.840 I think you're right.
01:09:50.800 That's the only thing that explains this.
01:09:53.060 It's why the VAX mandate remains for cross-border truckers too.
01:09:56.060 Yeah.
01:09:56.240 You know, same reason.
01:09:59.020 Um, uh, the Grouchy Fish gives us 10 bucks.
01:10:02.040 Well, thanks.
01:10:03.160 You two are great together.
01:10:04.140 No matter how fired up I get about the issues that are plaguing our country, you always find
01:10:08.180 a way to make me laugh.
01:10:09.180 Oh, well, thanks.
01:10:10.180 Oh, Grouchy Fish.
01:10:11.220 Thank you.
01:10:11.660 But believe me, Sheila and I on the inside, we're crying.
01:10:16.400 Yeah.
01:10:17.200 Oh, then, uh, somebody else writes, uh, Michelle Ramphal Garner is no longer running for UCP
01:10:24.620 Alberta premiership.
01:10:25.660 I don't think she even officially announced that she was running.
01:10:28.080 She just said that she was considering it.
01:10:29.740 And then they got that rule wave to make it look like she was serious.
01:10:32.800 And, um, but I think it was just like her escape hatch.
01:10:36.680 Like she pulled the chute.
01:10:37.780 And I think that was a message, uh, going to super producer, Olivia, a message from
01:10:42.300 Yankee in Florida, um, you know, who's more on the ball than us in Canada, evidently, but
01:10:49.280 would that leadership race, uh, that, that sure didn't, uh, last long, but it just proves
01:10:55.160 your theory.
01:10:55.640 I didn't think it was serious.
01:10:56.640 I didn't think it was serious.
01:10:57.660 It was like, Oh, I got to find a reason to distance myself from this catastrophe.
01:11:03.480 Well, you know what, but you, you guessed it correctly, you know, give yourself a Barry
01:11:08.560 Horowitz pat on the back, Sheila Gunn-Reed.
01:11:11.540 Thank you.
01:11:12.680 Uh, nice and shiny gives us a buck and says thoughts on Edmonton water fountain lifeguards.
01:11:17.280 Is that a thing?
01:11:17.980 Are you just making fun of Edmonton because they're awful?
01:11:21.920 Okay.
01:11:22.700 Oh my God.
01:11:23.860 Lifeguards at Edmonton city hall, water fountain generate mixed reviews.
01:11:28.240 Uh, wait a minute.
01:11:29.380 Why not?
01:11:30.720 Am I, I, I, okay.
01:11:32.940 Is that, is that what a water fountain is?
01:11:35.120 It's not a drinking fountain.
01:11:36.300 No, it's just a, like, look at how the little boy running in the background.
01:11:40.540 It's literally at your ankles.
01:11:41.760 That's in front of Edmonton city hall.
01:11:43.580 What is it?
01:11:44.240 It's one of these stupid bureaucrats going to fall in there and drown in a three inches
01:11:47.560 of water.
01:11:48.320 Like, look, they put a lifeguard there.
01:11:51.080 Uh, unbelievable.
01:11:52.900 You know, you're the worst.
01:11:55.020 I, I make fun of Edmonton, but.
01:11:56.820 I mean, they're beyond parody, but Sheila, do you remember speaking of parody and beyond
01:12:04.780 it?
01:12:05.160 Do you remember how two years ago I went to cover, uh, the Colberg beach, which is a beautiful
01:12:11.340 stretch of beach, uh, Colberg, of course, where our beloved colleague Tamara Ugolini lives.
01:12:17.260 And, uh, I went into the water, which, uh, because it was a loophole.
01:12:21.800 If you went and entered through the beach area, you're going to get smacked with an $860 ticket.
01:12:27.020 But if you went down the slippery rocks, I think that was somehow designated federal land.
01:12:33.080 And the bylaw didn't have, uh, the, uh, bailiwick to give you a ticket.
01:12:37.360 So I got closer and closer to the beach and I'm walking along in the water and there's a
01:12:41.540 bylaw officer walking parallel with me, looking at me.
01:12:45.460 And we're having a conversation and I asked him, I said, how far, how close to the beach,
01:12:52.680 the actual sand do I have to come before I'm in ticket, uh, territory?
01:12:57.460 And he said, the rule, sir, is if I see your ankles, you're going to get a ticket.
01:13:03.620 So I had to make sure there was enough water covering my ankles, which isn't a lot of water.
01:13:08.720 What's that?
01:13:09.100 Maybe four and a half inches of water.
01:13:11.440 And this guy, like a hawk looking at a trout was eagle-eyed watching my ankles because
01:13:19.240 if he spotted them, that's a ticket.
01:13:22.220 Welcome to clown world folks.
01:13:24.680 Holy cow.
01:13:28.760 If they need any lifeguards to help with the ankle deep water, Edmonton's probably got it.
01:13:35.420 I imagine those lifeguards are making a pretty penny too.
01:13:38.680 And Jorgie, Jorgie gives us a buck and says women's sports is women's sports, men's sports is men's
01:13:44.920 sports.
01:13:45.240 There should be an open league as well.
01:13:46.500 Easy peasy.
01:13:47.460 Oh, Alberta question for Sheila.
01:13:49.040 What are Danielle Smith's odds?
01:13:50.660 I think she's probably the front, the front runner.
01:13:54.320 And, uh, that's the thing about Albertans were actually pretty forgiving.
01:13:59.700 If you actually admit that you did something wrong, many of many people forgave Jason Kenney
01:14:08.300 when he apologized for naming some businesses essential and others not.
01:14:12.180 And he said, like, I made a mistake and everyone's like, look, he's owning up to it.
01:14:16.220 Let's, uh, let's see what he does next.
01:14:18.840 And then he locked us down again.
01:14:20.320 So, um, you know, she made that catastrophe of a decision way back in, I think, 2014, um,
01:14:28.120 where she decided to cross the floor to join the PCs and she paid for it at the, uh, election.
01:14:35.440 And then, uh, she has spent probably seven years trying to redeem herself of that.
01:14:42.860 And I think people see that that's probably sincere.
01:14:45.600 Um, I don't have a favorite in this race.
01:14:48.320 You'll never ever know who my favorite is anyway.
01:14:50.760 You might know who I don't like, but you'll never know who my favorite is.
01:14:54.180 Um, but I do know that she is the only one so far who said that she would immediately have an amnesty
01:15:02.100 for the COVID tickets and fines, um, for the pastors, but for everybody to not only that,
01:15:07.920 she said she would go one step further and say that she would go on an apology tour, uh,
01:15:12.680 all across Alberta, just to say, um, because people need to hear from the government that
01:15:20.400 they got it wrong and it won't happen again.
01:15:23.540 Yeah.
01:15:24.220 I mean, I bet you if any politician in Canada could reverse the time space continuum, it
01:15:31.080 would be, uh, miss Smith for that crossing of the floor.
01:15:34.560 What a crucial, terrible error in judgment that was.
01:15:38.960 I think, uh, I just got to notice on my, um, internet connection is unstable.
01:15:46.340 So hopefully I become unfrozen and you can see me fine.
01:15:49.440 And then we'll finish up these, uh, Mandy 1971 gives us a buck and says, I watched the
01:15:54.860 trucker rebellion coots movie last night on the big screen at Canyon Meadows cinema.
01:15:59.000 If you missed it, um, it's showing there again on the 29th, um, in Calgary, it was really good.
01:16:04.260 I wish that more of the conclusion would have been included in the movie.
01:16:07.520 Well, interestingly enough, we are working on a docu-series, our Sid Fizzard, who you
01:16:12.600 saw in the movie there right until the very end.
01:16:16.380 And, uh, he's working on a docu-series, um, wherein you'll be able to see his footage
01:16:21.400 of just how things played out after that time.
01:16:23.740 Uh, Mandy 1971 gives us a buck and says, you guys, for all the work that you, yeah, we're
01:16:33.020 okay.
01:16:34.920 We're fine.
01:16:36.800 Yeah.
01:16:37.700 January 777 gives us five bucks.
01:16:40.240 Comment.
01:16:40.720 If Alberta was its own country, easy for the people to come together.
01:16:43.980 And demonstrate, should the government go sideways as it stands, the libs can't get away with
01:16:55.280 everything they do.
01:16:57.480 Um, well, you know what?
01:16:59.180 Uh, it's a good question in terms of, oh, do we have Sheila back?
01:17:04.200 You know, I'm back.
01:17:05.080 Sheila, how, like, seriously speaking, if there were a referendum today in terms of Alberta
01:17:12.640 separation, what are we talking about?
01:17:14.820 Is that, is that in the realm of possibility?
01:17:19.180 50% plus one?
01:17:20.980 Yeah.
01:17:21.380 I saw some polling that said that well over 50% of Albertans express some form of separation
01:17:28.800 sentiment.
01:17:29.620 Now, what does that even mean?
01:17:31.120 Does that mean we want the same deal as Quebec?
01:17:34.460 Okay.
01:17:35.380 Does that mean that we are going to be our own independent country?
01:17:39.520 Does that mean that we're going to join the United States?
01:17:41.700 Does that mean that we are just like a territory of Canada, but working more autonomously within
01:17:47.820 confederation?
01:17:49.380 Who even knows?
01:17:50.540 And that's the problem with the, um, separatist movement is they haven't actually said what
01:17:57.120 they want to do.
01:17:58.360 And so you need to tell people what you want to do.
01:18:01.520 And you need to tell people that you've already examined, like what to do with the RCMP, what
01:18:06.720 to do with the military, what to do with taxes, what to do with the pension plan, all these
01:18:10.260 federal assets that are in our province.
01:18:13.080 How are you going to figure that out?
01:18:14.760 And I don't think anybody's reached into Quebec for their expertise and said, how, how did you
01:18:20.540 guys, how did you guys figure that out?
01:18:23.520 To answer that question in advance of your referendum.
01:18:27.120 I don't think the Canadian or the Alberta separatist movement is anywhere near there yet.
01:18:31.900 I agree.
01:18:32.900 And I think looking at the Quebec situation, it was what, 1976, I think the René Levesque
01:18:38.640 led PQ government came to power on the promise of we're going to go for a referendum on separation.
01:18:45.260 And I think the first one might be 1980 and it failed.
01:18:51.060 But, you know, it was interesting to see the wording of separation change after the first
01:18:58.200 referendum failed, because you might recall, Sheila, they started calling separation sovereignty
01:19:03.860 association.
01:19:06.120 And what that really meant is that, well, we're going to be our own country, but we're still
01:19:10.480 going to be taxpayer supported by Canada.
01:19:13.480 We're still going to keep our fingers in the till.
01:19:16.560 Nice try.
01:19:17.720 That ain't working either.
01:19:19.020 Right.
01:19:19.400 So, but I think maybe because of demographic changes in Quebec, I don't think Quebec would
01:19:28.300 have the sufficient critical mass to have that 50% plus one anymore, Sheila.
01:19:34.240 They couldn't do it twice, 80 and I'm guessing, was it 94 or 96?
01:19:41.560 Don't quote me on that.
01:19:42.720 But if they couldn't do it then, I don't think it's possible now.
01:19:46.940 Well, and I think whether they want to admit it or not, they live and die on transfer payments.
01:19:53.020 Yeah.
01:19:53.520 And so.
01:19:54.800 Well, that's where the sovereignty association comes in.
01:19:57.460 We want to, you know, we want to make our own little country and maybe our own little
01:20:02.340 funny money.
01:20:02.960 But we still want those Canadian dollars to keep coming through.
01:20:05.520 You don't mind.
01:20:06.000 And I would like a sovereignty disassociation where Quebec can figure out how to get money
01:20:13.800 from some other province than Alberta.
01:20:15.880 That's right.
01:20:20.240 Okay.
01:20:20.880 So, red eye records gives us two bucks.
01:20:23.640 Pierre Trudeau was prime minister in 1974 when and who destroyed the province's ability
01:20:27.640 to borrow interest free from the Bank of Canada for infrastructure and development.
01:20:31.100 What is our debt now?
01:20:31.920 Well, I can answer your last question.
01:20:33.240 What is our debt now?
01:20:34.020 1,172,897,850,3456789,000 and change.
01:21:00.240 My share, by the way, of the federal debt is $32,000.
01:21:05.820 Our growth of debt per day is about $145 million per hour.
01:21:13.800 It grows a little over $6 million per hour.
01:21:18.860 Sheila, next time you recite figures like that, if you don't mind, could you put your little
01:21:23.780 pinky finger up to your lips just to get the full Dr. Evil effect, okay?
01:21:29.380 Yeah.
01:21:30.240 And if anybody out there is interested, go to debtclock.ca.
01:21:33.940 It's an initiative of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
01:21:36.460 If you want to know how screwed we are, just go there.
01:21:39.440 And if you want your mood ruined, just go there for a second.
01:21:43.980 Sad.
01:21:44.960 It is sad.
01:21:45.940 Okay, let's keep going.
01:21:47.220 Mandy, 1971, woohoo.
01:21:48.840 I will definitely go and see it when it comes back to Calgary.
01:21:51.060 Yeah, it's on June 29th, Canyon Meadows Cinema.
01:21:54.540 I think it's 730.
01:21:55.740 But if you go to Canyon Meadows Cinemas, cinemas.ca, you'll find the showtimes there.
01:22:03.620 January 777, Sheila, the APP, the Alberta Prosperity Project, has all the answers to the
01:22:09.580 concerns you mentioned regarding Alberta independence.
01:22:11.960 Yes, I did see that.
01:22:14.100 I think, though, my comments were more with regard to the separatist political parties.
01:22:24.360 There's sort of a fracturing of those, and none of them have really done a good think on what they
01:22:31.440 would do tangibly if Alberta voted to separate.
01:22:35.360 And if you want people to buy your ideas, you kind of have to tell them what they are in advance.
01:22:40.800 Sheila, if Alberta were to separate and you form your own currency, whose face or what image goes on the $100 bill?
01:22:48.800 Ralph Klein.
01:22:49.620 Okay.
01:22:51.120 That's a no-brainer.
01:22:52.520 But I'm not going to, you know, like I've talked about this before.
01:22:55.700 I don't necessarily have to wait for Alberta to separate.
01:22:57.880 I can just make my own micro-estate.
01:22:59.380 That crazy guy in Australia did it.
01:23:01.440 He made a lot of money just having people come in and he would stamp their passports and then they
01:23:09.320 would just go back out.
01:23:10.180 They'd like come onto his farm, go to the passport office, and he would charge to stamp their passport.
01:23:15.500 Just they could have like their passport stamped by the, I forget what it was called,
01:23:20.400 Hutt River Principality.
01:23:21.720 That's what it was.
01:23:22.280 And they would have that stamp on their passport.
01:23:23.960 I fear for the future of that man, given the kind of leadership in Australia.
01:23:29.340 I don't know how they're tolerating it.
01:23:32.580 He died.
01:23:34.780 So I don't know what happened with his sheep farm that he was mad about, but he did pass
01:23:39.960 away, sadly.
01:23:41.100 I think that's everything.
01:23:42.200 I have to go film the Ezra Levant show right away.
01:23:46.980 So I think we're all wrapped up.
01:23:48.700 Is that right, Olivia?
01:23:49.420 Yes, we are.
01:23:52.140 Okay.
01:23:52.720 Well, speaking of Olivia, thanks to her and Efren and Danny behind the board there.
01:23:59.140 And of course, special thanks to Sheila Gunn-Reed looking so dapper in that jacket.
01:24:04.320 I really like it.
01:24:05.600 And thank you, everybody, for tuning in, especially those who gave us some do-re-mi.
01:24:10.940 It's how we pay the bills here.
01:24:12.520 We don't do direct withdrawal from your paycheck like the mainstream media does.
01:24:18.100 There'll be two new rebels here tomorrow for the live stream starting at 12 noon Eastern.
01:24:25.040 In the meantime, as always, folks, stay sane.
01:24:29.000 Mr. Speaker, we understand that passport renewal requests have greatly peaked since the end
01:24:36.700 of travel restrictions.
01:24:38.380 And so Passport Canada staff are working day and night relentlessly to deliver passports
01:24:43.980 to Canadians.
01:24:44.840 We understand that people are facing unacceptable delays.
01:24:50.040 This is very difficult, but we will continue to work day and night to rectify the situation
01:24:54.800 and we will rectify it.
