00:00:00.000 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, you have tuned in to the Rebel News live stream
00:00:19.880 on this, a Tuesday, June 29th, 2021.
00:00:25.640 I'm David Menzies and my co-host, as always, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
00:00:29.780 Well, she's the queen of cool, but she doesn't suffer fools.
00:00:33.040 She is the she-devil with a sword.
00:00:34.920 She is the Khaleesi of northern Alberta.
00:00:37.960 It is Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:00:39.760 How are you doing, my friend?
00:00:42.080 David, I have never been better.
00:00:44.540 Look at that shirt.
00:00:45.980 Look at that shirt.
00:00:47.060 That's the David Menzies, the Menzoid shirt.
00:00:49.600 There it is.
00:00:50.740 Oh, it's great.
00:00:52.980 This is perhaps the greatest day of my life, as opposed to the worst day of my life,
00:00:58.260 when I sold my comic book collection for a used Camaro,
00:01:01.520 and those comics appreciated into a brand new Ferrari off the lot today.
00:01:05.640 But yeah, the people here, I guess they think so nicely of me, Sheila.
00:01:10.260 They've come out with this shirt, the Menzoid.
00:01:13.520 And, well, as, you know, illustrations, as they say in the marketing business,
00:01:18.260 not exactly as illustrated in terms of the lower half from the neck down.
00:01:25.360 And I got to tell you, I was prompted to wear this shirt,
00:01:28.820 not because I'm an egomaniac that I want to walk down the street
00:01:32.140 with my own image on my own shirt.
00:01:34.900 But I was talking to Mr. Vice President,
00:01:36.800 and he said it's selling well,
00:01:38.900 but it's not the runaway bestseller that they thought it would be.
00:01:42.660 And I thought, well, we've got to change that.
00:01:44.520 We've got to, I've got to promote this.
00:01:46.520 I've got to do a little advertising on the live stream.
00:01:49.400 We've got to move the merchandise.
00:01:50.920 And I'm going back into the old-time radio days.
00:01:54.780 How about this, Sheila, as an offer?
00:01:57.260 The first Rebel News viewer I see on the street
00:02:01.720 that comes up to me with this shirt,
00:02:04.220 I am going to give you $100.
00:02:08.980 I'll say it like Dr. Evil, $100.
00:02:12.420 Now, you might not think that's a lot of money,
00:02:15.000 but folks, that's a lot of money to me.
00:02:17.480 I mean, I'm not a millionaire.
00:02:18.800 I'm not even a thousandaire, okay?
00:02:21.180 Last time I looked at my bank balance.
00:02:23.220 So if you buy one of these shirts,
00:02:25.180 you have a chance of more than doubling your money.
00:02:28.260 Look at that, a brownie.
00:02:30.480 Who's on, that's Borden.
00:02:31.860 He's still there, right?
00:02:32.700 We haven't replaced them with, like, I don't know,
00:02:35.160 something more politically correct.
00:02:37.660 But if you come up to me,
00:02:39.640 that is going to go into your pocket.
00:02:42.200 What do you think about those apples, Sheila Gunn-Reed?
00:02:46.040 Well, I'm sad that I didn't order the shirt yet.
00:02:48.380 It's sitting in my cart on this store.
00:02:50.380 But I'm trying to put a bunch of stuff in there
00:02:53.040 so that I can, you know, maximize my discount on the store.
00:02:57.900 But that's a very generous offer.
00:03:00.260 And I think that you are going to find
00:03:02.420 quite a few anti-lockdown protesters in Toronto
00:03:06.160 wearing that beautiful shirt.
00:03:07.980 I mean, David, I had the final say on what the shirt looked like
00:03:14.160 before it went out the door.
00:03:15.320 I did.
00:03:15.800 You're responsible for this.
00:03:17.580 Man, in orange, does that not pop?
00:03:19.720 I love it.
00:03:20.740 I mean, folks, you will never be lost at sea
00:03:23.320 wearing the orange version of this shirt.
00:03:25.740 And, oh, by the way, a little asterisk,
00:03:27.660 in case anyone thinks the fix is in La Vegas
00:03:30.760 or the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
00:03:33.940 This does not apply to any of my co-worker weasels
00:03:37.860 that might go into the storeroom and don a shirt,
00:03:40.640 or family or friends.
00:03:42.420 It's got to be a complete stranger.
00:03:44.340 Like Sheila said, maybe somebody had a lockdown protest.
00:03:47.220 We cover a lot of those.
00:03:48.540 Or maybe just somebody seeing me on the street.
00:03:50.700 You know, sometimes we get honked at.
00:03:53.020 I think they're honking at us with a thumbs up.
00:03:55.620 Sometimes it's a different finger.
00:03:57.460 But regardless, if you are wearing this shirt this summer,
00:04:00.520 the first one, and it's only the first one,
00:04:02.920 and by the way, I want your name in case I get anything.
00:04:06.700 Like, yeah, I saw the manzoid on Yonge Street,
00:04:09.280 and I ran up to him in my shirt, and he didn't give me $100,
00:04:12.220 and he claimed some other person.
00:04:14.280 But, yes, you have to give me your name
00:04:16.320 so I can say such and such got to me first,
00:04:20.820 and they have $100.
00:04:24.060 And Mr. Producer's saying, yeah, of course,
00:04:26.540 you can never make that up.
00:04:27.820 But those are the rules.
00:04:29.860 That's the fine print.
00:04:31.160 And please, folks, go on to that store site of ours
00:04:36.420 and order your shirts.
00:04:38.800 Don't make Mr. Vice President here read me the riot act
00:04:42.340 over something I had no control over in the first place.
00:04:46.040 And that's all I have to say about that, SheDevil.
00:04:51.840 Actually, you know what, Justin?
00:04:53.080 Can you bring the store back up?
00:04:54.240 Because we should take a peek around.
00:04:55.540 There's new stuff in that store all the time.
00:04:57.520 And, friends at home, if you would like
00:04:59.860 one of David Menzies' The Menzoid shirts,
00:05:03.120 you can use the coupon code MENZIES10 for 10% off.
00:05:07.000 It's all beautiful, folks,
00:05:08.280 but all you really want to buy is the Menzoid t-shirt
00:05:11.740 in multiple numbers.
00:05:13.160 Listen, Christmas is, what, just five or six months away?
00:05:17.220 So think of all your loved ones.
00:05:19.940 Think of their faces lighting up at the Christmas tree
00:05:23.860 when they open the package and they get one of those shirts.
00:05:26.340 You know, I can see Mr. Producer, he's smiling already.
00:05:29.600 He was doing his happy dance already, Sheila,
00:05:31.860 because he's thinking of the actual real stores
00:05:34.760 opening in Ontario two days early tomorrow.
00:05:37.980 So he was doing that little twist of his...
00:05:40.220 Think of a duck on a paint shaker.
00:05:44.560 That's Justin's happy dance.
00:05:51.760 And anyways, but you saw what we do have on the store.
00:05:54.860 Are you all kidding aside, folks?
00:05:56.160 We have some beautiful merchandise there.
00:05:59.040 Great designs, great messages.
00:06:01.640 I mean, forget about little...
00:06:02.740 Yeah, that Save the Pastors one.
00:06:03.880 Yeah.
00:06:04.100 That Save the Pastors one.
00:06:05.160 I think that's really great.
00:06:06.860 In particular, here in Alberta,
00:06:08.960 we've had three pastors arrested.
00:06:11.380 Tim Stevens, we got word yesterday
00:06:13.340 that he will be in jail until at least the 12th of July.
00:06:17.000 So while all the politicians are shopping for their stampede outfits,
00:06:21.680 Tim Stevens is languishing in jail for the crime of opening his church
00:06:25.460 and not turning away congregants.
00:06:28.700 Really, that's what it comes down to.
00:06:29.960 He refused to turn away people who came to his church
00:06:32.920 to meet some sort of arbitrary government restriction on attendance.
00:06:38.760 And then they stuff him into a prison
00:06:41.380 where they've had coronavirus outbreaks
00:06:44.280 as opposed to what is happening at his church
00:06:47.040 where he's had none in front of his kids twice now.
00:06:50.820 And, you know, it's my understanding that not just Senator Josh Hawley
00:06:58.700 and not just Scott Walker in the United States,
00:07:02.160 but it sounds like there's about two dozen high-profile U.S. politicians,
00:07:08.180 senators, congressmen, and governors, former and otherwise,
00:07:11.760 who are keenly aware to the situation here in Alberta.
00:07:14.840 And if this situation were happening in Hong Kong to the Catholic Church,
00:07:22.860 I mean, I've got a book on my shelf here written by Cardinal Zen.
00:07:26.520 He's the cardinal from Hong Kong talking about the government overreach
00:07:30.940 into the churches there, telling people how they can worship
00:07:33.220 and how they should interpret the Bible.
00:07:35.360 Isn't that really what's happening here?
00:07:37.160 Telling people like Tim Stevens how he should interpret
00:07:41.560 the meaning of gathering together every single week
00:07:44.740 as prescribed to him in the Bible.
00:07:46.480 That's really what's happening here.
00:07:48.120 And so if you want to show your support for all pastors,
00:07:51.420 not just Tim Stevens, not just James Coates,
00:07:53.560 who also spent 35 days in jail, but Pastor Art Poloski,
00:07:57.260 might I suggest that Save the Pastors shirt,
00:07:59.640 throw it in the cart with your Menzoid shirt,
00:08:02.160 and use the coupon code MENZIES10 for a 10% discount.
00:08:05.680 And we just got word this morning from both the neighbors of Grace Life Church
00:08:10.800 and the congregants that the fences are coming down this morning.
00:08:15.180 Oh, how gracious of them.
00:08:16.620 But you know, Sheila, you said something very profound there
00:08:19.120 when you referenced Hong Kong.
00:08:20.900 I think I've said this before, but if I went back in time two years ago,
00:08:24.360 2019, and I got a future glimpse of our Rebel News store,
00:08:28.360 and I saw a t-shirt with no context, and it said Save the Pastors,
00:08:33.380 that's what I would assume.
00:08:34.400 Is this a Hong Kong initiative, something in North Korea, Syria,
00:08:39.960 you know, Christian pastors being rounded up and going to jail?
00:08:44.220 But no, Canada, and of all places in Canada, Alberta,
00:08:49.100 you know, the home of Jason Kenney,
00:08:52.360 who was once a champion of religious freedom
00:08:55.460 in the Stephen Harper government as an MP.
00:08:59.340 This is how surreal this is to me, Sheila.
00:09:02.220 Well, and, you know, I see a lot of people saying,
00:09:05.840 oh, these men are doing it for attention.
00:09:07.760 They could not be more different.
00:09:09.180 They absolutely, all three men, James Coates, Tim Stevens, and Art Poloski,
00:09:15.560 they could not be more different.
00:09:17.680 Different faith practices, different faith backgrounds,
00:09:20.580 and they're all compelled to defy the laws of man
00:09:27.660 to be obedient to God.
00:09:29.680 They all have, you know, different interpretations of the Bible,
00:09:32.960 and it doesn't matter their style,
00:09:35.480 because, you know, there are people out there who say,
00:09:37.180 I don't like Pastor Art's style.
00:09:39.300 He said this about that five years ago.
00:09:42.080 Okay, great, but what does that have to do with locking him up?
00:09:44.960 Because he didn't turn people away.
00:09:46.780 People say, you know, like, I don't like James Coates.
00:09:50.800 He's doing it for attention.
00:09:52.600 I've met James.
00:09:53.680 I've talked to him a fair bit.
00:09:55.620 Not even.
00:09:56.220 This is not what he asked for.
00:09:58.940 This is not some, but it's something that he found himself faced with.
00:10:04.200 And Tim Stevens, he's a bookish Baptist minister.
00:10:08.420 I mean, again, these men could not be more different,
00:10:11.500 but that saved none of them from the wrath of the government.
00:10:16.020 You're absolutely right.
00:10:17.120 These men are not publicity hounds, Sheila,
00:10:20.480 which is not to say that this doesn't happen in this business.
00:10:23.240 I mean, I always think of, you know, Ashley Madison,
00:10:26.060 it's a website that facilitates extramarital affairs.
00:10:30.800 And usually around January, they make a pitch to the NFL
00:10:35.440 and whoever's carrying the Super Bowl, they want to buy an ad.
00:10:38.180 And of course, they're turned down.
00:10:39.900 They're not interested in them being an advertiser.
00:10:42.200 So what Ashley Madison does is put out a press release
00:10:45.300 and they, in effect, get millions of dollars of free publicity going,
00:10:49.980 oh, boo-hoo, you know, the mean old NFL and NBC won't run our rad.
00:10:54.720 They know ahead of time they're not going to get that ad space.
00:10:58.400 In fact, my suggestion to the NFL is to say,
00:11:01.360 okay, you know it's $4 million for 30 seconds.
00:11:04.700 Can we have your check?
00:11:05.960 Call their bluff.
00:11:06.780 But what I'm getting at, you know, Sheila,
00:11:08.800 there are those characters in this business
00:11:12.140 that deliberately do something, whether, you know,
00:11:15.620 the example I gave or breaking the law
00:11:17.920 just because they want the publicity.
00:11:20.460 But that's not these gentlemen at all.
00:11:23.440 They just want to practice their religion in peace.
00:11:27.300 They never set out for this.
00:11:29.320 They never, as the old Bruce Springsteen lyric goes,
00:11:32.360 they didn't go down to the bar wearing trouble on their shirts.
00:11:35.260 The trouble came to them.
00:11:37.400 And the fact that the head troublemaker is Premier Kenney,
00:11:41.440 Sheila, this is just so embarrassing at the end of the day.
00:11:45.340 It is embarrassing.
00:11:46.640 It's also embarrassing to see the people who are defending him
00:11:48.960 from within his own government.
00:11:50.360 I saw that Ben Harper, Stephen Harper's son,
00:11:53.240 who now works for Jason Kenney,
00:11:55.440 has basically called us clickbait and extremists.
00:11:59.720 Well, you know what?
00:12:00.940 Whatever.
00:12:01.460 But is Josh Hawley an extremist?
00:12:04.760 Is Scott Walker literally the most bland Republican money can buy?
00:12:10.360 Is he an extremist now?
00:12:12.140 Because he's concerned about what's happening here in Alberta?
00:12:14.860 I mean, maybe the extremist phone call friend
00:12:17.920 is coming from inside the house.
00:12:19.780 And I like Ben.
00:12:21.300 I've defended Ben from attacks from the left before.
00:12:24.420 I think, you know, like if your dad was the prime minister
00:12:28.080 and you naturally, I mean, his career trajectory
00:12:32.160 took him into Jason Kenney's office,
00:12:34.380 that makes perfect sense to me.
00:12:37.100 But like I said, maybe that extremist phone call
00:12:40.120 is coming from inside the house
00:12:41.380 because I'm not the one locking up pastors.
00:12:44.140 I'm not the one justifying 35 days in jail
00:12:47.340 for Pastor James Coates.
00:12:49.800 Keeping the church from a congregation for 90 days,
00:12:53.540 driving Christian congregations underground,
00:12:55.960 arresting pastors on Calgary freeways,
00:12:59.240 and arresting Tim Stephens in front of his children twice.
00:13:02.800 Not once, but twice.
00:13:05.100 Sorry, but that's the extremist.
00:13:08.480 Defending religious freedom from the government
00:13:11.680 during an emergency,
00:13:13.920 which is always when the government
00:13:15.500 takes away your fundamental freedoms.
00:13:17.620 They always use an emergency to do it.
00:13:20.880 I'm sorry, that's not the extremist view.
00:13:23.620 That's the conservative position.
00:13:25.520 And wouldn't it be great
00:13:26.460 if a conservative would take it?
00:13:28.320 And you know, Sheila,
00:13:29.300 we do have a Pastor Art update,
00:13:32.120 and it's not really good news.
00:13:34.900 But before we get to it,
00:13:36.420 why don't you do your schtick
00:13:38.900 where you tell the folks out there
00:13:40.620 are a sensible policy reason
00:13:43.120 of what it is the heck we're trying to do here
00:13:45.560 in the first place?
00:13:46.300 Right, right, right.
00:13:47.860 13 minutes on the air
00:13:48.860 and haven't told anybody what we're doing.
00:13:51.560 People are tuning in going,
00:13:52.800 listen to those two chattering hens.
00:13:54.740 What are they talking about?
00:13:56.040 You know, it's a miracle
00:13:56.840 that neither one of us gets fired
00:13:58.420 every single day around here.
00:14:00.620 Don't even say that out loud.
00:14:03.440 You know what?
00:14:04.460 I've got charm going for me.
00:14:05.880 I don't know what saves you from firing.
00:14:07.380 But anyway, I'm kidding.
00:14:10.260 I'm kidding.
00:14:10.800 I'm David's biggest fan.
00:14:12.480 I'm going to go into John Candy mode, you know.
00:14:14.860 Oh, please, Mr. Caballero,
00:14:16.800 don't fire me, please.
00:14:20.080 Oh, goodness.
00:14:21.440 Okay.
00:14:21.800 So what are we doing here today?
00:14:23.720 As my, I see my Skype feed is coming in and out.
00:14:27.640 It's getting pixelated, but it's summertime.
00:14:30.280 So I probably have two kids on the internet
00:14:32.200 instead of just one trying to take a Zoom school call.
00:14:36.200 So what we're doing here today
00:14:37.400 is the Rebel News daily live stream.
00:14:39.460 It used to just be on Friday,
00:14:40.700 just hosted by Ezra, pandemic hit.
00:14:42.600 There's more news than ever,
00:14:43.800 despite what the mainstream media is talking about,
00:14:46.300 which is Justin Trudeau's once weekly
00:14:50.300 wander out to talk to people thing that he does.
00:14:53.200 We think there's more news than ever.
00:14:55.300 The situation is changing day by day.
00:14:57.500 For example, in Ontario,
00:14:59.780 you guys might be able to buy socks
00:15:01.660 in a couple of days, so congratulations.
00:15:05.660 So we sit down, we talk to our viewers
00:15:08.140 every single day for an hour.
00:15:10.700 David and I host Tuesdays and Thursdays,
00:15:13.040 Ezra Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
00:15:14.520 It used to be a great way for us to make some money
00:15:16.800 and pay the bills around here,
00:15:18.640 but then YouTube, the censorship platform of YouTube,
00:15:22.240 demonetized us and cut a big $400,000 chunk
00:15:25.760 right through the middle of the company.
00:15:27.740 Wow.
00:15:27.800 And, you know, it's only a matter of time
00:15:31.320 before they de-platform us on YouTube altogether.
00:15:34.220 However, we've got Plan B through, I guess, Zed in the works.
00:15:40.380 We are still streaming on YouTube
00:15:42.920 because we think it's a great place for people to find us.
00:15:45.320 But if you are watching us on YouTube,
00:15:47.100 might I suggest you just take an off-ramp
00:15:48.880 to one of the other more free-speechy platforms
00:15:51.480 that don't hate you.
00:15:52.980 For example, there's Rumble where we're streaming on right now.
00:15:56.420 We also are streaming on SuperU,
00:15:58.680 which is a great free-speechy platform.
00:16:00.760 And you can leave us a tip there,
00:16:02.120 which is a new feature
00:16:03.580 as they develop new features
00:16:05.620 to support their content creators.
00:16:07.720 And we're also streaming on Odyssey.
00:16:12.160 And on Odyssey,
00:16:12.740 you can leave us something called a HyperChat.
00:16:14.880 You just have to buy some of their library cryptocurrency.
00:16:17.800 Don't understand cryptocurrency,
00:16:18.960 but it is definitely on one of those things that I am aiming.
00:16:22.060 It's on my list of things that I need to understand.
00:16:24.800 But if you buy some of their library cryptocurrency,
00:16:27.220 you can donate some of that to us
00:16:29.300 and we will read your chat on air
00:16:31.600 once Justin sends it to me.
00:16:33.620 And I think that's it.
00:16:36.160 Oh, Justin says,
00:16:37.760 we do have a bunch of chats already.
00:16:39.460 Shall we go to them right away, Mr. Producer,
00:16:41.640 or run the Pastor Art video?
00:16:46.040 Okay, we'll go to the chat, Sheila.
00:16:47.500 We'll go to the chats
00:16:49.060 because we have great, well-trained viewers
00:16:52.080 who know what they're supposed to be doing
00:16:54.520 even when David and I don't.
00:16:55.900 So let's get to that.
00:16:56.880 We've got a super you shout,
00:17:00.160 I believe it's called,
00:17:01.240 from Annalisa.
00:17:03.480 Yahoo, I got my Menzies shirt.
00:17:05.800 Oh, Menzies, you're looking mighty buff,
00:17:07.560 I might add.
00:17:08.400 Love you both.
00:17:11.140 As I said before, Annalisa,
00:17:12.960 not exactly as illustrated under this shirt,
00:17:15.660 let me tell you.
00:17:16.440 Whose body did we put my head on anyway, Sheila?
00:17:19.780 We may as well be honest about this.
00:17:21.760 I think it's Triple H.
00:17:22.980 Triple H.
00:17:23.880 I think it's Triple H.
00:17:25.380 I recognize the black trunks anyway.
00:17:30.900 Alrighty, we've got a hyper chat
00:17:33.460 from History Club World.
00:17:35.380 Do you think there will be any consequences
00:17:37.040 for the government's actions against pastors?
00:17:38.920 What dirt do you think got rid of Climate Barbie?
00:17:44.240 Follow History Club World on Instagram.
00:17:47.180 I don't, okay, first question,
00:17:49.940 or yeah, I'll answer your first question.
00:17:51.880 What do you think there,
00:17:52.700 or do you think there will be any consequences
00:17:54.200 for the government's actions against pastors?
00:17:56.300 I think the consequences are far greater
00:17:58.400 than the government thinks.
00:18:00.040 I think that they think if they open up for Stampede
00:18:03.960 that people are just going to forget
00:18:05.460 or people are so scared of Rachel Notley
00:18:08.240 that they're going to forget what Jason Kenney did.
00:18:10.740 And I think there's a fair bit of that.
00:18:13.160 I am worried about Rachel Notley getting back into power.
00:18:16.840 So naturally, people are worried about that too.
00:18:19.260 However, I think for a lot of people
00:18:23.500 who are conservative in values,
00:18:26.900 but not conservative in partisanship,
00:18:29.280 and there's a lot of that in Alberta.
00:18:31.060 For example, our conservative movement fractures all the time
00:18:34.320 from the PCs to the Wild Rose,
00:18:37.300 reform grew out of Alberta.
00:18:38.940 So there are people who are less partisan
00:18:41.380 and more conservative in values,
00:18:43.800 and this is going to be a tough pill to swallow
00:18:46.080 for Jason Kenney to come back around
00:18:48.460 and ask them for their vote,
00:18:49.800 seeing what has happened to these churches.
00:18:52.960 And for a lot of people,
00:18:55.260 these aren't their denominations,
00:18:57.640 but they believe in religious freedom.
00:18:59.520 And there's a lot of people who are like,
00:19:00.720 I'm not even religious,
00:19:01.740 but I just don't,
00:19:02.940 I think arresting pastors is a bad thing.
00:19:05.380 There's a lot of that out there too.
00:19:06.840 And I think Jason Kenney is going to have
00:19:10.280 a lot of apologizing and making up to do
00:19:13.900 before that's fixed.
00:19:15.380 However, if his staffers are out on Twitter
00:19:18.060 calling people extremists for thinking,
00:19:20.040 hey, we shouldn't be locking up pastors,
00:19:22.640 I don't think that's helpful either.
00:19:24.520 I think you've got a bit of a communications nightmare
00:19:28.000 on your hands.
00:19:28.820 I agree 100%, Sheila.
00:19:30.120 I think the only factor in Premier Kenney's favor
00:19:34.740 is simply time.
00:19:35.800 That as the months go by
00:19:38.240 and there's more and more opening
00:19:40.020 and less and less restrictions
00:19:42.040 and things get back to normal
00:19:44.420 or something approaching normal,
00:19:46.440 people will forget,
00:19:48.000 you know,
00:19:48.620 the dark times
00:19:49.700 when pastors were being rounded up
00:19:52.280 and thrown in maximum security jails.
00:19:54.900 Other than that,
00:19:55.780 he's got nothing.
00:19:57.540 Yeah.
00:19:57.860 Yeah.
00:19:58.100 I mean,
00:19:59.200 I'm not going to forget
00:20:00.600 when I see politicians
00:20:02.980 on the pancake breakfast circuit
00:20:05.880 during Stampede
00:20:07.200 coming up right away,
00:20:08.880 when I see them
00:20:09.560 in their brand new cowboy boots
00:20:11.020 and their wranglers
00:20:12.360 that they crack out
00:20:13.100 for one day a year
00:20:14.040 flipping pancakes
00:20:15.320 and glad-handing people
00:20:16.620 and kissing babies,
00:20:18.040 I will not forget
00:20:19.780 that Tim Stevens
00:20:21.200 is still in jail.
00:20:22.880 Yeah.
00:20:23.140 I won't forget.
00:20:23.860 And the second part
00:20:26.220 of your question,
00:20:26.940 History Club World,
00:20:28.140 what do you,
00:20:28.880 what dirt do you think
00:20:29.680 got rid of climate Barbie?
00:20:32.140 I don't know if it's dirt,
00:20:33.460 but I think she seriously
00:20:34.500 mishandled the infrastructure file.
00:20:37.700 She's just losing track
00:20:39.120 of billions and billions
00:20:40.340 and billions of dollars
00:20:41.480 worth of projects.
00:20:44.100 I can't,
00:20:45.120 but in the federal government,
00:20:47.640 you don't get fired
00:20:49.000 for ineptitude.
00:20:49.960 You fail upwards
00:20:50.760 all the way
00:20:51.360 into the prime minister's office.
00:20:53.860 I mean,
00:20:54.440 what was the largest file
00:20:55.600 that the prime minister
00:20:56.480 actually handled
00:20:57.420 before he became prime minister?
00:20:59.140 Wasn't he the associate minister
00:21:00.600 of like amateur sport
00:21:02.640 or something ridiculous like that?
00:21:04.300 Like,
00:21:04.860 I can't even believe
00:21:05.700 there was somebody
00:21:06.180 in charge of that.
00:21:07.660 I'm not associate minister.
00:21:08.640 I think the critic, right?
00:21:09.780 Because he wasn't in government.
00:21:11.140 He was the critic
00:21:11.960 for amateur sport.
00:21:15.220 And then all of a sudden
00:21:15.960 he's the prime minister.
00:21:16.900 So,
00:21:18.020 yeah,
00:21:19.620 I think that
00:21:20.600 she's just resigning
00:21:21.840 before a lot of
00:21:23.400 the mishandling
00:21:24.960 of literally billions
00:21:26.320 of dollars
00:21:27.000 comes to light.
00:21:28.120 That's what I think.
00:21:28.820 And, you know, Sheila,
00:21:29.600 I think,
00:21:30.680 speaking to the prime minister,
00:21:32.100 I think even Justin Trudeau
00:21:34.080 was growing very weary
00:21:35.700 of her act,
00:21:36.860 of all this
00:21:37.660 sanctimonious,
00:21:39.020 you know,
00:21:39.840 speeches
00:21:41.400 that she would make.
00:21:43.620 You know,
00:21:43.980 I have a video coming up.
00:21:45.120 She was in Toronto
00:21:45.860 last week
00:21:46.540 and it was absolutely perverse.
00:21:48.200 She's doing a tour
00:21:49.200 of the waterfront
00:21:50.060 of Toronto,
00:21:50.820 which is no waterfront.
00:21:52.200 Let me tell you, folks,
00:21:52.900 it's a concrete jungle.
00:21:54.220 And she pointed
00:21:54.900 this tiny little patch
00:21:56.360 of land called
00:21:57.280 Sugar Beach,
00:21:58.860 Canada's Sugar Beach,
00:22:00.200 no less.
00:22:01.280 And here's the funny thing,
00:22:03.480 Sheila,
00:22:03.980 riddle me this.
00:22:04.620 When you go to the beach,
00:22:06.240 what is there
00:22:07.260 a normal expectation of
00:22:10.040 once you get to the beach?
00:22:12.440 It's water, right?
00:22:13.420 You want to go swimming.
00:22:14.480 Yeah.
00:22:14.940 A beach without water,
00:22:16.920 you know what that is, Sheila?
00:22:17.700 That's a desert.
00:22:19.440 If you go to Canada's Sugar Beach,
00:22:22.040 there are actually signs
00:22:23.920 forbidding you
00:22:25.060 under penalty of law
00:22:26.280 for taking a jump
00:22:29.540 into the water.
00:22:30.740 And not that you'd want to
00:22:31.900 because it is extremely polluted.
00:22:34.760 Now, like I said,
00:22:35.480 this was, you know,
00:22:36.640 all about the improvement
00:22:37.920 of infrastructure.
00:22:39.440 Why not have some kind of,
00:22:41.820 I mean, I'm not an engineer,
00:22:42.980 but I'm sure it can be done.
00:22:44.120 Why not a policy
00:22:45.120 where Toronto,
00:22:46.500 be it Canada's Sugar Beach
00:22:48.860 or the Western beaches,
00:22:50.440 don't get polluted,
00:22:52.200 whether it's, you know,
00:22:53.660 fecal contamination
00:22:54.560 or other pollutants.
00:22:56.340 Why not do something like that
00:22:58.260 where the citizens of this city
00:22:59.760 on a scorching hot day like that
00:23:01.980 can actually go into Lake Ontario?
00:23:04.240 No, it's all about the sizzle
00:23:06.160 and not the steak, Sheila.
00:23:07.720 That is the former climate Barbie.
00:23:10.640 It's all about,
00:23:11.380 oh, look what I've done,
00:23:12.440 but you scratch beneath the surface,
00:23:14.020 you've done nothing.
00:23:15.480 She was talking about
00:23:16.660 Canada's Sugar Beach
00:23:17.700 being a former parking lot.
00:23:20.060 You know what it is now?
00:23:21.280 It's a former parking lot
00:23:22.780 with sand on top of it.
00:23:24.460 You can't go into the lake.
00:23:26.660 How is this a gift to Toronto
00:23:29.660 from the federal government,
00:23:31.760 from the infrastructure minister?
00:23:34.600 It's such a joke.
00:23:35.540 And I got to tell you, Sheila,
00:23:36.940 it's nauseating to see her.
00:23:38.820 She did the due rigueur,
00:23:40.660 want to spend more time
00:23:41.720 with the family.
00:23:43.660 And, you know,
00:23:44.720 oh, you don't know what it's like
00:23:46.340 all these years of online hate.
00:23:49.380 I can think of one of the most
00:23:51.820 privileged women in Canada
00:23:53.640 to play the victim card.
00:23:56.700 And of course, no mention, Sheila,
00:23:58.680 that she now qualifies
00:24:00.320 for that six-figure pension for life
00:24:03.040 from the federal government.
00:24:04.480 She put in enough hours for that.
00:24:06.320 Yeah, I'm sure that had nothing to do
00:24:08.880 with her backing away.
00:24:11.260 But as far as I'm concerned, Sheila,
00:24:13.320 good riddance.
00:24:15.140 Yeah, you know what?
00:24:16.000 Leave it to the federal government
00:24:17.180 to just dump sand,
00:24:19.220 construction materials,
00:24:20.680 on a parking lot
00:24:22.340 and call it Sugar Beach
00:24:24.320 where there's actually no beach
00:24:25.680 and no sugar.
00:24:26.800 It's the perfect federal government nonsense.
00:24:29.080 And I'm sure this costs
00:24:30.200 hundreds upon hundreds
00:24:31.880 of thousands of dollars.
00:24:33.140 I'm sure of it.
00:24:34.260 Sheila, that's not quite true.
00:24:35.560 About a football field away
00:24:37.060 is the Red Path Sugar Refinery.
00:24:39.560 Because she said
00:24:40.380 this former industrial area.
00:24:42.600 It's an industrial area still.
00:24:44.520 They're refining sugar there.
00:24:46.160 And when Mocha and I
00:24:47.040 went down there yesterday,
00:24:48.200 there was this enormous
00:24:49.720 oil tanker-like ship,
00:24:52.480 you know,
00:24:53.420 right beside the refinery.
00:24:55.820 Yeah, that's what I want to see
00:24:57.260 when I go to the beach.
00:24:58.800 I hate freighters
00:24:59.920 coming in and out.
00:25:01.940 I know exactly
00:25:02.880 what you're talking about.
00:25:04.020 When I was in Toronto
00:25:05.540 last time,
00:25:06.080 my daughter and I got there
00:25:07.240 and there's nothing to do in Toronto,
00:25:08.540 so we're like,
00:25:09.060 let's go for a run.
00:25:10.280 Yeah.
00:25:10.560 And we ran down the harbour
00:25:11.920 down past the Red Mill?
00:25:14.260 Red Path?
00:25:14.780 Red Path, correct.
00:25:16.020 Yeah.
00:25:16.460 And then I had to explain to her
00:25:17.840 how the government
00:25:19.660 runs the liquor stores there
00:25:20.820 because there's like a big
00:25:21.900 LCBO store
00:25:23.960 right across the street.
00:25:25.040 Am I right?
00:25:25.540 Yes, that's one of their
00:25:26.500 so-called flagship stores.
00:25:28.420 In other words,
00:25:29.240 here's a store we spent
00:25:30.420 millions on
00:25:31.760 that no private entrepreneur
00:25:33.480 in a competitive system
00:25:34.800 would ever dream constructing.
00:25:36.640 Yeah,
00:25:36.940 the Queen's Key flagship store,
00:25:38.640 you ran right past that too.
00:25:41.820 Yeah.
00:25:42.400 I hope you didn't try
00:25:43.240 to buy any scotch.
00:25:45.580 No,
00:25:46.160 because it was like
00:25:46.880 after six o'clock
00:25:47.860 in the evening
00:25:48.380 so everything
00:25:49.180 closed.
00:25:50.340 Oh,
00:25:50.820 Toronto.
00:25:56.720 What a failed state.
00:25:58.180 Anyway,
00:25:58.940 let's keep going.
00:26:01.160 We've got a rumble,
00:26:03.200 I forget what the chats
00:26:04.260 are called over there,
00:26:05.680 rumble chat from Ryan Rossi
00:26:07.680 says,
00:26:08.040 David's getting in shape.
00:26:09.580 Yeah,
00:26:09.780 I very rarely see David
00:26:11.480 in a t-shirt
00:26:12.260 and I like what I see.
00:26:13.680 Wow,
00:26:14.200 woo,
00:26:14.520 look at that.
00:26:15.360 I'll take it.
00:26:16.600 Well,
00:26:16.760 you know what,
00:26:18.120 I'll be honest,
00:26:19.060 folks,
00:26:19.400 I am still fat.
00:26:21.020 However,
00:26:21.540 without my cycling program,
00:26:23.360 I would be circus fat.
00:26:25.140 It was a tough cycle
00:26:27.180 yesterday,
00:26:27.900 Sheila,
00:26:28.200 the saddle time,
00:26:29.400 you know,
00:26:29.800 was really gearing me down.
00:26:31.520 It was so hot
00:26:32.880 in the GTA yesterday.
00:26:34.380 I'm telling you,
00:26:35.080 I saw a dog chasing a cat.
00:26:37.040 They were both walking.
00:26:40.540 David,
00:26:41.580 it is,
00:26:42.300 I know,
00:26:42.640 that's the oldest,
00:26:43.560 worst joke.
00:26:44.620 In Alberta right now,
00:26:46.600 it is 32 degrees.
00:26:49.420 Wow.
00:26:50.040 Headed up to 35.
00:26:52.500 It's 36 tomorrow,
00:26:54.160 37 the next day.
00:26:55.820 Um,
00:26:57.540 yeah,
00:26:58.100 it's not bad.
00:26:59.340 Finally,
00:26:59.900 for once,
00:27:00.440 I am complaining about the heat.
00:27:02.520 You know,
00:27:03.080 Alberta fascinates me,
00:27:04.880 Sheila.
00:27:05.220 I mean,
00:27:05.940 these extremes,
00:27:07.100 you're getting plus 36.
00:27:09.220 If this,
00:27:09.980 we could be talking six months later,
00:27:11.760 it's minus 36 without the windshield.
00:27:14.760 And yet,
00:27:15.040 like,
00:27:15.620 what,
00:27:15.880 120 million years ago,
00:27:18.460 this was a tropical grassland
00:27:20.520 with dinosaurs running around.
00:27:22.640 But of course,
00:27:24.320 we killed them off
00:27:25.020 with our SUVs running,
00:27:26.520 so we don't have the dinosaurs.
00:27:29.060 Sheila's Jeep strikes again.
00:27:32.920 Let's keep going.
00:27:34.100 We've got a rumble from Books and Tea.
00:27:36.580 Love the shirt.
00:27:37.260 Yes,
00:27:37.440 I do.
00:27:38.480 I'm sad that I don't have one.
00:27:40.060 I've got to put it,
00:27:40.720 I've just got to pull the trigger
00:27:41.900 and,
00:27:42.740 and buy it on the store.
00:27:44.800 Yes,
00:27:45.180 buy it.
00:27:46.020 Don't,
00:27:46.460 don't get a freebie.
00:27:48.320 Mr. Vice President is watching
00:27:49.640 every sale that goes out
00:27:51.320 on that store.
00:27:52.120 I know he is.
00:27:53.140 I know he is.
00:27:55.520 We've got a hyper chat from Binga.
00:27:57.400 Oh my God,
00:27:58.060 ha ha,
00:27:58.460 David wearing the Hulk Hogan pose.
00:28:00.280 David,
00:28:00.680 thanks for the laugh.
00:28:02.020 And all we see is green fire
00:28:03.720 on Sheila.
00:28:04.520 Thanks for all the hard work
00:28:06.300 of all the rebels.
00:28:07.740 By the way,
00:28:08.180 shout out to Justin.
00:28:10.340 Thank,
00:28:11.720 oh,
00:28:12.060 he missed that.
00:28:13.280 But thank you,
00:28:14.020 Binga,
00:28:14.440 on the behalf of Mr. Producer.
00:28:15.960 Justin's asleep at the wheel.
00:28:19.260 Oh boy.
00:28:20.180 Oh,
00:28:20.380 there it is.
00:28:22.760 We've got a rumble,
00:28:23.800 a chat from Cher 21.
00:28:26.200 Stevens did not bend the knee.
00:28:27.880 Yeah.
00:28:28.580 Yeah.
00:28:29.860 We've got a hyper chat
00:28:30.880 from History Club World.
00:28:32.080 Rebel News should have
00:28:32.820 a like
00:28:34.120 inter news company wrestling.
00:28:36.760 Oh,
00:28:37.480 an inter news company wrestling match
00:28:39.660 or something like that.
00:28:40.600 It would be funny to see
00:28:41.540 Sheila wrestle someone from CBC
00:28:43.420 or CTV.
00:28:45.100 And you know what?
00:28:46.600 On that file,
00:28:47.520 I'll be the manager.
00:28:48.880 Okay.
00:28:50.660 Who would you like
00:28:51.460 to wrestle the most,
00:28:52.820 Sheila?
00:28:53.040 Would it be
00:28:53.420 Rosemary Barton?
00:28:55.920 She's a lot bigger than me.
00:28:57.820 I gotta give some thought.
00:28:59.860 I didn't mean that
00:29:00.840 in a bad way,
00:29:01.600 David.
00:29:01.840 I'm just not a big woman.
00:29:03.360 I'm a small woman,
00:29:04.300 right?
00:29:04.820 Like I am.
00:29:05.780 So I just need to find
00:29:07.120 somebody who's in my,
00:29:09.200 I was going to say weight class,
00:29:10.620 but size class.
00:29:11.560 Let's just.
00:29:12.420 The bigger they are,
00:29:13.300 the harder they fall.
00:29:14.220 You know that.
00:29:15.520 She'd be going down
00:29:16.400 like a Redwood.
00:29:18.340 No.
00:29:19.180 No,
00:29:19.700 I have to give some thought
00:29:21.660 to whom I would wrestle,
00:29:23.400 but I still would like
00:29:25.280 to foxy box
00:29:26.460 the guy who punched me
00:29:27.920 in the face.
00:29:28.820 Oh.
00:29:29.400 Dion Buse.
00:29:30.000 I would do that for charity
00:29:31.020 in a heartbeat.
00:29:31.640 Oh,
00:29:31.780 that's a mismatch.
00:29:36.400 Let's keep going.
00:29:37.300 Before we get in a world
00:29:40.700 of trouble.
00:29:41.220 Super U.
00:29:42.680 Super U shout from
00:29:43.860 Hammer's Girl 88.
00:29:45.400 Another sad day
00:29:46.220 in Canada yesterday.
00:29:47.820 Yes.
00:29:48.920 Terrible.
00:29:49.700 Terrible.
00:29:50.260 With convictions
00:29:51.480 for contempt
00:29:52.260 in Alberta.
00:29:53.240 Three of them.
00:29:54.500 And then finding out
00:29:55.800 that Pastor Tim Stevens
00:29:56.940 would remain in jail
00:29:58.120 until at least July 12th.
00:29:59.460 That's his next court date.
00:30:00.980 It's not his release date.
00:30:02.680 So imagine
00:30:03.400 his devastated family.
00:30:04.900 Let's just breeze through these
00:30:05.940 and then we'll get to
00:30:06.600 our update on the
00:30:07.620 on the contempt stuff.
00:30:09.720 A Super U tip
00:30:11.540 from my buddy Mike.
00:30:13.600 Mike Mayer.
00:30:14.600 He's with People
00:30:15.820 Versus Predators
00:30:16.620 and Freedom Honey.
00:30:18.380 And he tipped us 10 bucks.
00:30:19.820 And that's so kind
00:30:20.540 because I accidentally
00:30:21.440 sent half the people
00:30:22.880 on my Facebook
00:30:23.480 messenger list yesterday
00:30:24.680 some random video
00:30:26.860 as I tried to turn off
00:30:27.900 my phone at 2.30
00:30:28.760 in the morning
00:30:29.180 because it was beeping
00:30:29.920 and instead I just
00:30:30.900 forwarded them
00:30:31.560 a bunch of garbage.
00:30:32.480 So sorry about the message
00:30:33.840 at 2.30 in the morning Mike
00:30:35.100 and thank you so much
00:30:35.940 for the dip.
00:30:38.000 We've got a Super U tip
00:30:39.520 from Annalisa.
00:30:40.580 She tipped us 20 bucks.
00:30:42.320 Annalisa,
00:30:43.040 thank you very much.
00:30:45.440 Thank you Annalisa.
00:30:47.160 That's more for David
00:30:48.340 than it is for me I'm sure.
00:30:50.420 It's all for the company.
00:30:52.120 It's all for the greater good Sheila.
00:30:55.100 Mike Mayer,
00:30:56.260 my Freedom Honey friend.
00:30:58.440 You know,
00:30:58.900 let's just stop right here
00:30:59.740 and talk about Freedom Honey.
00:31:00.740 I don't know a lot
00:31:01.400 about the company
00:31:01.940 but I'm very excited
00:31:02.840 to be a customer.
00:31:04.060 It's called Freedom Honey
00:31:04.940 and it is founded by Mike
00:31:06.720 who is a Canadian Forces veteran
00:31:08.800 and his friend
00:31:09.640 and it's their little
00:31:12.160 side hustle business
00:31:13.160 and I'm really excited
00:31:14.100 to see what they do next.
00:31:15.720 But Mike is also very active
00:31:17.060 with People vs. Predators
00:31:18.260 and he says thank you
00:31:19.300 for everything you two do
00:31:20.400 from your friends
00:31:21.220 at People vs. Predators
00:31:22.440 and Freedom Honey.
00:31:23.180 You guys are formulating
00:31:25.100 an official parliamentary petition
00:31:28.020 are you not?
00:31:28.740 Mike, I'll talk to you
00:31:29.520 off air
00:31:31.180 but I'd sure love
00:31:32.220 to cover that
00:31:32.880 because I think you guys
00:31:33.820 are going to do great things
00:31:34.820 trying to change the laws
00:31:36.840 to keep bad guys
00:31:37.800 behind bars
00:31:38.520 which is funny
00:31:40.260 because we can't seem
00:31:41.340 to keep the guys
00:31:42.120 who hurt kids
00:31:42.980 behind bars
00:31:43.620 but we've got pastors
00:31:44.580 in jail.
00:31:45.660 And since he's a honey maker
00:31:46.780 all I have to say Mike
00:31:47.880 is be thanking you.
00:31:49.620 Do you know what?
00:31:51.700 Someone's going to take
00:31:52.520 that emoji away from you.
00:31:54.180 Friends at home
00:31:55.080 that's how David signs
00:31:56.620 every text or email to me
00:31:59.760 is just a be emoji
00:32:01.040 and it means be thanking you
00:32:02.480 and he knows
00:32:03.060 that I don't like it
00:32:04.080 so then I just send him
00:32:05.040 knife emojis back.
00:32:07.400 Okay, let's keep going.
00:32:09.940 We've got a hyper chat
00:32:11.040 from History Club World.
00:32:12.340 Rebel News should give
00:32:13.200 a few Save the Pastors shirts
00:32:15.060 to any politician
00:32:16.100 that speaks out
00:32:17.960 against the arrest.
00:32:18.780 We should also send them
00:32:20.060 to the Alberta Cabinet
00:32:21.280 and Notley.
00:32:22.860 I like doing things
00:32:24.000 for spite.
00:32:25.540 It's not a terrible idea.
00:32:28.560 I like it.
00:32:29.400 We'd probably need a sponsor
00:32:31.500 to help us offset
00:32:32.520 the cost of the t-shirts
00:32:33.780 because we're crowdfunded
00:32:37.000 and it's difficult
00:32:38.540 to just give stuff away
00:32:39.760 but that's not a terrible idea.
00:32:42.880 We've got a rumble chat
00:32:43.880 from Frog Soup.
00:32:45.380 That shirt is badass.
00:32:46.940 Yeah, I love it.
00:32:47.980 The look on your face
00:32:49.780 is so terrific.
00:32:52.620 Thank you, Frog Soup.
00:32:53.480 I'm 99% sure
00:32:54.560 that's Triple H.
00:32:55.920 With elbow pads,
00:32:57.260 I think that's Triple H.
00:32:58.260 I think you're right.
00:32:59.960 That's not a copyright infringement
00:33:01.760 or anything like that.
00:33:03.400 I think we're okay
00:33:05.980 because it's got your head.
00:33:07.280 Okay.
00:33:07.680 I think we'll stop right here
00:33:10.400 even though we have
00:33:10.900 10 more chats to get to
00:33:12.580 and maybe we can get
00:33:13.360 to some of the other news
00:33:14.340 of the day
00:33:14.740 that we wanted to talk about.
00:33:15.880 I think the contempt
00:33:18.560 guilty verdicts
00:33:21.480 for Pastor Art Poloski,
00:33:24.300 his brother David,
00:33:25.740 and Chris Scott
00:33:28.400 of the Whistle Stop Cafe.
00:33:29.720 All three were found guilty yesterday
00:33:31.680 by the same judge.
00:33:33.020 They were issued their judgments
00:33:34.520 all at the same time.
00:33:36.640 Apparently, all three of them
00:33:38.200 met the requirements in Alberta
00:33:41.160 to be found in contempt
00:33:42.820 of a judge's court order
00:33:43.860 and those are that
00:33:45.040 they had prior knowledge
00:33:46.520 of the order
00:33:47.400 so that they were appropriately served,
00:33:49.880 that the act being restrained
00:33:51.520 in the order
00:33:51.980 and the person being restrained
00:33:53.760 was clear.
00:33:55.780 I'm not sure that's the case.
00:33:57.520 And that there was intent
00:33:59.980 to break the order.
00:34:02.480 And in the case of Pastor Art Poloski,
00:34:04.640 he was given two and a half minutes
00:34:09.020 to read, understand,
00:34:12.720 and comply
00:34:13.640 with a judge's court order
00:34:15.440 that gave police
00:34:16.880 and health services
00:34:18.620 full reign to inspect his church
00:34:20.280 during services.
00:34:22.280 Pastor Art's first language
00:34:25.120 is not English.
00:34:26.360 And he can be seen in that video
00:34:28.040 saying,
00:34:28.820 please contact my lawyer.
00:34:30.240 Please contact my lawyer.
00:34:32.740 And they never did until after.
00:34:35.480 And the court orders
00:34:36.600 sought against all of these guys.
00:34:39.020 were done in secret.
00:34:40.540 So they know,
00:34:42.000 Alberta Health Services
00:34:42.760 knows full well
00:34:43.940 that Pastor Art
00:34:44.800 has Sarah Miller
00:34:45.780 from JSS
00:34:46.520 working for him.
00:34:48.380 And they know
00:34:49.080 that Chris Scott
00:34:49.820 has Chad Williamson
00:34:51.100 from Williamson Law
00:34:52.160 working for him
00:34:53.040 thanks to the generous donations
00:34:55.020 of everybody at home
00:34:56.120 who donates
00:34:56.760 through fightthefines.com.
00:34:58.600 The government knows
00:34:59.960 about these lawyers
00:35:00.800 because the government
00:35:01.500 has been up against
00:35:02.640 these lawyers
00:35:03.220 already a few times.
00:35:05.400 But the government,
00:35:07.000 or AHS,
00:35:07.760 the government,
00:35:09.200 went before a judge,
00:35:10.760 two different judges,
00:35:12.220 and didn't inform the court
00:35:14.400 that these guys
00:35:15.440 were represented by lawyers,
00:35:17.040 which is a procedural violation.
00:35:19.180 And then secondarily
00:35:20.300 didn't inform the lawyers
00:35:21.480 that there were proceedings
00:35:22.300 happening against their clients,
00:35:23.820 which is a charter violation
00:35:25.220 because you're denying people
00:35:26.360 the right to be represented
00:35:27.240 by a lawyer.
00:35:28.080 That you know they have
00:35:29.100 and that you know
00:35:29.740 they're represented by.
00:35:31.420 And yet still,
00:35:32.620 these guys were all found
00:35:33.480 in contempt yesterday.
00:35:34.340 You know,
00:35:34.920 I think you're putting it kindly,
00:35:37.020 Sheila,
00:35:37.280 when you call it
00:35:37.940 a procedural violation
00:35:39.380 and a charter violation.
00:35:40.980 Let's get to the bottom of it.
00:35:42.480 This is Banana Republic stuff
00:35:44.400 we're seeing in Alberta
00:35:46.320 under a conservative government.
00:35:48.500 Shocking.
00:35:49.020 But without further ado,
00:35:50.300 let's go to the wonderful report
00:35:51.980 by our reporter.
00:35:53.640 Well,
00:35:53.880 the report's not wonderful.
00:35:55.080 It's actually very disappointing.
00:35:56.460 The reporter is wonderful.
00:35:57.700 That would be Adam Seuss in Calgary.
00:35:59.520 Here's the latest
00:36:00.240 on Pastor Art.
00:36:01.400 Community of Faith.
00:36:03.220 Hello, friends.
00:36:03.800 This is Pastor Art.
00:36:04.580 I am, of course,
00:36:06.780 greatly saddened
00:36:08.540 by the judge's decision
00:36:10.680 that have found us
00:36:12.640 in contempt of court order
00:36:14.120 on all the charges
00:36:15.980 for two proceedings.
00:36:17.800 I'm saddened
00:36:18.760 because the notion
00:36:20.200 that the pastor
00:36:21.000 can be found
00:36:21.740 in contempt of court order
00:36:23.180 for simply doing his job,
00:36:25.140 for opening the church,
00:36:26.760 for saving lives,
00:36:28.300 for helping people
00:36:29.720 that are in desperate need,
00:36:31.400 people that are suicidal,
00:36:32.720 people that are depressed,
00:36:34.320 people that don't know
00:36:35.380 where to turn,
00:36:36.220 people that are overwhelmed
00:36:38.060 by all those different,
00:36:40.640 crazy, difficult things
00:36:42.600 that we're facing
00:36:43.280 in our society these days.
00:36:45.140 It's egregious.
00:36:46.500 It's absolutely sad
00:36:48.620 what has become,
00:36:51.160 what happened
00:36:51.820 to our beloved Canada.
00:36:53.500 So me and my brother David,
00:36:55.240 we have been found
00:36:56.120 in contempt of court order.
00:36:58.580 Me for two counts,
00:37:00.300 my brother David for one.
00:37:02.220 And it breaks my heart
00:37:03.780 because where is,
00:37:05.120 what happened
00:37:05.580 to the justice system
00:37:06.780 these days?
00:37:07.780 One law for me,
00:37:08.800 one law for thee.
00:37:09.700 And I guess
00:37:10.200 if we have been found guilty,
00:37:12.100 also those gentlemen here
00:37:14.360 should be found guilty
00:37:15.900 of the contempt
00:37:16.620 of court order as well
00:37:18.720 because the same Rook's order
00:37:20.880 applies, of course,
00:37:22.480 to all Albertans,
00:37:23.660 including them.
00:37:24.600 So let me read some of them.
00:37:26.220 Premier Jason Kenney
00:37:27.280 should be found
00:37:28.240 in contempt of court order
00:37:29.700 for breaking
00:37:30.880 the Rook's order as well.
00:37:33.640 Environmental and Parks Minister
00:37:37.100 Jason Nixon.
00:37:38.760 He should be found
00:37:39.560 in contempt of court order.
00:37:40.920 Finance Minister
00:37:41.800 Travis Taves,
00:37:43.780 he should be found
00:37:44.700 in contempt of court order
00:37:45.940 as well.
00:37:46.840 And Health Minister,
00:37:47.920 of course,
00:37:48.720 this hypocrite
00:37:49.740 that have ordered
00:37:50.840 our arrest
00:37:52.120 for simply doing our job,
00:37:53.900 for saving lives,
00:37:55.260 for feeding the poor,
00:37:56.500 for giving hope
00:37:57.860 to the hopeless,
00:37:59.660 for pastors
00:38:00.800 that are preventing suicides
00:38:02.640 and health issues
00:38:04.220 here in the province
00:38:05.180 of Alberta.
00:38:05.780 This hypocrite
00:38:06.960 Minister Tyler Chandro,
00:38:09.000 he should be found
00:38:09.860 in contempt of court order
00:38:11.840 as well.
00:38:12.800 So I'm looking forward
00:38:13.780 to their court hearings.
00:38:16.340 I'm looking forward
00:38:17.320 for them to answer
00:38:19.600 for them breaking the law
00:38:21.540 in a sky palace.
00:38:22.720 It cannot be in a free
00:38:23.840 and democratic society
00:38:24.960 that there's one law
00:38:26.420 for me
00:38:26.840 and one law for thee.
00:38:28.000 I mean,
00:38:28.280 the level of hypocrisy
00:38:29.440 right now
00:38:29.960 is unbelievable.
00:38:31.340 The level of double
00:38:32.540 standards
00:38:33.160 that we see right now
00:38:34.200 in our system,
00:38:36.200 it's shocking,
00:38:38.320 it's heartbreaking
00:38:39.140 and saddens me greatly
00:38:41.600 because what kind
00:38:42.320 of a country
00:38:42.960 are we going to have
00:38:43.880 when the ministers
00:38:45.680 that are putting
00:38:47.080 the orders,
00:38:48.100 they themselves
00:38:48.760 do not care
00:38:49.500 about those orders,
00:38:50.540 they're breaking
00:38:51.140 their own mandates
00:38:52.540 and they don't care
00:38:54.560 about the justice system.
00:38:56.120 It's just a system
00:38:57.060 for them to be abused
00:38:58.940 and used
00:38:59.780 and that's sad.
00:39:01.600 You've got to remember
00:39:02.600 I grew up
00:39:03.360 behind the Iron Curtain
00:39:04.620 under the boots
00:39:05.960 of the Soviets.
00:39:06.960 That's exactly,
00:39:08.360 those were the tactics
00:39:09.420 of the communists.
00:39:10.720 They were telling you
00:39:12.960 what you were allowed
00:39:14.080 to do
00:39:14.400 but they themselves
00:39:15.120 do not follow
00:39:15.760 the same orders.
00:39:17.500 One law for them,
00:39:18.500 one law for the rest
00:39:19.400 of the people,
00:39:20.200 masters and slaves.
00:39:21.620 Right now,
00:39:22.080 we see the repetition
00:39:23.020 of the same scenario.
00:39:25.160 Those people,
00:39:26.000 those ministers,
00:39:26.640 those premiers,
00:39:27.680 those mayors,
00:39:28.280 they can do
00:39:28.680 whatever they want
00:39:29.420 and they can get
00:39:30.080 away with that
00:39:30.800 and the rest of us,
00:39:32.340 slaves,
00:39:33.040 well,
00:39:33.420 we are subjected
00:39:34.340 to the proceedings,
00:39:35.880 courts,
00:39:36.360 arrests and tickets.
00:39:38.740 So,
00:39:39.820 I need you prayers,
00:39:41.060 please pray.
00:39:42.320 So,
00:39:42.860 this evil,
00:39:43.660 this great evil
00:39:44.420 that we're witnessing
00:39:45.200 in our country
00:39:46.300 is going to be
00:39:47.760 revoked,
00:39:49.280 broken
00:39:49.760 and what else
00:39:51.440 can I say?
00:39:52.420 We will keep
00:39:53.300 speaking the truth,
00:39:54.320 we'll keep fighting
00:39:55.200 for the future
00:39:56.620 of this country
00:39:57.380 so Canada
00:39:58.080 would stand
00:39:58.860 strong and free.
00:40:00.760 Oh Canada,
00:40:01.600 we stand on guard
00:40:02.980 for thee.
00:40:03.760 As you remember,
00:40:04.780 this great nation
00:40:05.700 was built
00:40:06.420 on truth
00:40:07.360 and justice
00:40:08.120 and we should
00:40:09.700 all strive
00:40:10.740 to achieve that
00:40:11.720 once again
00:40:12.820 that Canada,
00:40:14.440 the Canada
00:40:14.960 that we received
00:40:16.720 those 30,
00:40:17.760 40,
00:40:18.160 50,
00:40:18.560 100 years
00:40:19.320 before
00:40:20.040 would be passed
00:40:21.360 to the next
00:40:21.880 generations
00:40:22.520 to come.
00:40:23.740 so be blessed
00:40:24.480 and pray
00:40:26.260 for us.
00:40:27.160 The sanction period
00:40:28.240 You know,
00:40:29.380 Sheila,
00:40:29.780 I found
00:40:30.340 some of those
00:40:31.140 words so chilling
00:40:32.280 when Passart
00:40:33.960 talks about
00:40:34.640 growing up
00:40:35.260 behind the
00:40:35.940 Iron Curtain
00:40:36.880 and the tactics
00:40:38.640 Alberta,
00:40:40.000 the Albertan
00:40:40.500 government
00:40:40.840 I should say
00:40:41.420 is using
00:40:42.080 is the same
00:40:43.600 tactics
00:40:44.520 that the Soviets
00:40:45.700 used
00:40:46.440 decades ago.
00:40:48.320 I mean,
00:40:49.140 again,
00:40:50.420 it is surreal
00:40:51.740 and disturbing
00:40:52.680 to me
00:40:53.240 and think
00:40:54.660 of those
00:40:55.060 two images.
00:40:56.280 You know,
00:40:56.420 we should do
00:40:56.840 a contrast
00:40:57.720 because I think
00:40:58.860 this says it all.
00:41:00.200 It is
00:41:00.700 Passart
00:41:01.320 when he was
00:41:02.320 dragged
00:41:03.080 out of his car
00:41:04.380 on a live
00:41:05.460 lane of
00:41:06.100 Calgary
00:41:06.660 highway traffic.
00:41:08.840 Absolutely shameful.
00:41:10.080 No reason for that.
00:41:11.000 They know where he lives.
00:41:12.020 They know where he goes
00:41:12.940 and contrast
00:41:14.140 that image
00:41:15.200 of him being
00:41:15.900 dragged on the highway
00:41:16.920 with the image
00:41:18.220 of Kenny
00:41:19.500 and Shandro
00:41:20.300 and all the rest
00:41:21.540 in the Sky Palace
00:41:23.100 living high off
00:41:24.160 the hog
00:41:24.720 with that
00:41:25.620 luxurious
00:41:26.380 dinner they were
00:41:27.800 consuming.
00:41:29.060 Wow.
00:41:29.660 And then you say
00:41:30.740 how,
00:41:32.480 why is it
00:41:33.020 Passart
00:41:33.540 is getting
00:41:34.660 the anvil
00:41:35.240 dropped on him
00:41:36.080 and these
00:41:37.660 head honchos,
00:41:38.640 the people that
00:41:39.220 should be leading
00:41:40.200 by example,
00:41:41.520 they get off
00:41:42.220 scot-free.
00:41:43.940 Yeah.
00:41:44.100 In the case
00:41:45.960 of Chris Scott,
00:41:47.960 we are appealing
00:41:50.680 that this week
00:41:52.220 in the appeals
00:41:54.680 court here
00:41:55.280 in Alberta,
00:41:55.960 so tomorrow,
00:41:56.740 Wednesday,
00:41:57.580 Wednesday is a very
00:41:58.260 busy day,
00:41:58.980 again,
00:41:59.700 on the Freedom Beat.
00:42:01.160 There's a hearing
00:42:02.520 for Pastor Coates
00:42:03.480 that's happening
00:42:04.000 in the morning
00:42:04.480 and we are
00:42:06.080 in front of
00:42:06.740 an appeals court
00:42:07.700 judge
00:42:08.120 trying to argue
00:42:10.120 that it was not
00:42:11.380 Chris Scott
00:42:12.060 who broke the law
00:42:13.100 but rather
00:42:14.420 the government
00:42:15.080 that broke
00:42:15.720 the law
00:42:16.260 when they
00:42:16.860 sought this
00:42:17.520 order in secret,
00:42:19.360 this procedurally
00:42:20.640 flawed order
00:42:21.620 that Chad
00:42:23.060 Williamson
00:42:23.840 says
00:42:25.000 violates the
00:42:26.700 fundamental
00:42:27.160 principles of
00:42:27.920 justice,
00:42:28.640 that the government
00:42:29.720 can sneak around
00:42:31.360 behind your
00:42:32.420 back
00:42:32.940 and get
00:42:34.440 these orders
00:42:35.320 restraining
00:42:36.420 your civil
00:42:37.200 liberties
00:42:37.660 and if you
00:42:39.540 break the
00:42:40.640 order,
00:42:40.980 you will be
00:42:42.080 incarcerated
00:42:42.920 and you
00:42:43.760 never once
00:42:44.580 had an
00:42:45.040 opportunity
00:42:45.460 to participate
00:42:46.220 in the
00:42:46.560 process
00:42:46.880 or argue
00:42:47.640 in your
00:42:47.960 own
00:42:48.120 defense.
00:42:49.120 So,
00:42:49.460 wish us
00:42:50.100 luck
00:42:50.300 tomorrow
00:42:50.720 and we
00:42:52.680 will keep
00:42:53.220 fighting
00:42:53.620 but I
00:42:54.680 am seriously
00:42:55.680 concerned that
00:42:56.500 the legal
00:42:56.900 battle here
00:42:57.440 in Alberta
00:42:57.780 is very
00:42:58.540 uphill
00:42:59.140 because the
00:43:00.760 judge that
00:43:01.220 issued the
00:43:01.800 rulings
00:43:02.120 yesterday,
00:43:02.860 Justice Adam
00:43:03.520 Germain,
00:43:04.380 he's tasked
00:43:05.080 with dealing
00:43:05.720 with almost
00:43:06.640 all of these
00:43:07.780 issues.
00:43:08.140 This is his
00:43:09.260 special assignment,
00:43:10.080 deal with
00:43:11.060 the coronavirus
00:43:11.860 scoff laws and
00:43:13.580 so based on
00:43:14.780 what I saw
00:43:15.260 yesterday and
00:43:15.860 I think
00:43:17.000 things are
00:43:18.100 going to be
00:43:18.560 very tough
00:43:19.200 here in
00:43:19.680 Alberta.
00:43:21.060 He was
00:43:21.920 very,
00:43:22.540 at the
00:43:23.240 same time,
00:43:24.920 very
00:43:25.400 complimentary
00:43:27.140 to our
00:43:27.740 lawyers but
00:43:28.720 I think he
00:43:29.300 knows what
00:43:29.740 his job is.
00:43:30.700 So it
00:43:30.900 doesn't matter,
00:43:31.640 like I think
00:43:32.300 even when our
00:43:33.420 lawyers are
00:43:33.880 making these
00:43:34.360 very compelling
00:43:35.180 arguments,
00:43:36.280 he's sent to
00:43:36.960 be the fixer,
00:43:37.880 I think.
00:43:38.400 That's my
00:43:38.760 opinion.
00:43:39.260 You know,
00:43:39.800 Sheila,
00:43:39.980 I think
00:43:40.300 you're right
00:43:40.780 and anytime
00:43:42.220 you go up
00:43:42.840 against a
00:43:43.540 government or
00:43:44.180 a law,
00:43:45.080 it is an
00:43:45.860 uphill battle
00:43:46.760 and what is
00:43:47.900 so egregious
00:43:48.800 about this
00:43:49.340 case is that
00:43:50.800 the government
00:43:51.960 lawyers are
00:43:52.820 essentially,
00:43:53.780 for lack of a
00:43:54.300 better word,
00:43:54.680 they're cheating.
00:43:55.460 They're doing
00:43:55.760 these procedural
00:43:56.600 violations.
00:43:58.420 It's already
00:43:59.400 a Herculean
00:44:00.360 task for
00:44:01.500 Pastor Art
00:44:02.160 and you have
00:44:02.900 to do this
00:44:03.740 kind of garbage
00:44:04.480 behind the
00:44:05.060 scenes?
00:44:05.740 That is
00:44:06.080 shocking and
00:44:06.860 you know,
00:44:07.780 but it's
00:44:08.420 not over.
00:44:08.960 We're
00:44:09.120 appealing,
00:44:09.640 right?
00:44:09.940 No,
00:44:10.420 it's not
00:44:11.120 over.
00:44:11.440 We're
00:44:11.620 appealing.
00:44:12.860 We're just
00:44:13.480 not sure on
00:44:14.060 what grounds
00:44:14.520 we're doing
00:44:14.860 that yet
00:44:15.160 because the
00:44:15.580 judge's
00:44:15.920 written decision
00:44:16.920 yesterday,
00:44:17.400 he gave the
00:44:17.900 oral decision.
00:44:18.900 The written
00:44:19.320 decision should
00:44:20.100 be in our
00:44:20.940 lawyer's email
00:44:22.460 inbox in about
00:44:23.400 an hour and
00:44:24.120 15 minutes.
00:44:25.500 So once they
00:44:26.140 get a chance
00:44:26.560 to go through
00:44:27.000 that,
00:44:27.440 they'll give
00:44:27.840 us an update
00:44:28.420 about how
00:44:28.880 best we can
00:44:30.400 proceed going
00:44:31.060 forward.
00:44:31.460 so the
00:44:32.760 fight isn't
00:44:33.200 even close
00:44:34.140 to over
00:44:34.680 yet.
00:44:35.340 I mean,
00:44:35.920 think about
00:44:36.660 this.
00:44:37.200 In the case
00:44:38.080 of David
00:44:38.700 Poloski,
00:44:39.820 the order
00:44:41.160 was served
00:44:41.860 to him
00:44:42.380 in a
00:44:43.120 plastic baggie
00:44:44.640 dropped at
00:44:45.820 his feet.
00:44:48.120 That's how
00:44:48.820 they served
00:44:49.400 it to him
00:44:50.080 and that
00:44:51.260 everybody
00:44:53.420 testified
00:44:54.020 that they
00:44:56.060 don't even
00:44:56.360 know what
00:44:56.680 happened to
00:44:57.100 the baggie
00:44:57.660 after they
00:44:58.360 dropped it
00:44:58.840 at his feet.
00:44:59.480 But that
00:45:00.560 constituted
00:45:01.400 service of
00:45:02.220 a court
00:45:02.540 order here
00:45:03.540 in Alberta
00:45:04.080 and that
00:45:05.240 constituted
00:45:06.100 the person
00:45:07.620 getting the
00:45:08.500 order,
00:45:08.920 understanding
00:45:09.480 the order.
00:45:10.560 And David
00:45:11.580 was found
00:45:12.320 in contempt
00:45:12.920 of that.
00:45:14.380 I mean,
00:45:14.920 just think
00:45:15.340 about that.
00:45:16.040 What was
00:45:17.400 the reason
00:45:17.820 for that,
00:45:18.420 Sheila,
00:45:18.700 dropping a
00:45:19.420 plastic baggie
00:45:20.540 at his feet
00:45:21.240 as opposed
00:45:21.740 to handing
00:45:22.240 it to the
00:45:22.720 man?
00:45:24.200 He wouldn't
00:45:25.120 take it,
00:45:25.880 so they just
00:45:26.460 dropped it
00:45:27.000 at his feet.
00:45:27.900 And I think
00:45:28.380 it was raining
00:45:28.920 that day,
00:45:29.480 so it's
00:45:29.860 in a
00:45:30.060 plastic baggie
00:45:30.620 they just
00:45:30.940 dropped it.
00:45:31.740 And that
00:45:32.440 was it.
00:45:32.780 Nobody knew
00:45:33.240 what happened
00:45:33.720 to the
00:45:33.980 order after
00:45:34.500 that.
00:45:34.740 They don't
00:45:34.940 know if
00:45:35.180 David read
00:45:35.680 it.
00:45:36.860 Nobody can
00:45:37.540 say where
00:45:38.420 that order
00:45:39.260 went after
00:45:39.980 they just
00:45:40.320 dropped it
00:45:40.720 at his
00:45:40.980 feet.
00:45:41.580 But according
00:45:42.140 to a judge
00:45:42.760 yesterday in
00:45:43.320 Calgary,
00:45:44.120 that is
00:45:44.760 service and
00:45:46.060 understanding
00:45:46.480 of the
00:45:46.760 order.
00:45:47.520 You know,
00:45:47.900 this is
00:45:48.420 another shameful
00:45:49.160 way the
00:45:49.640 state is
00:45:50.060 acting because
00:45:50.980 I go back
00:45:52.120 to earlier
00:45:53.240 this month,
00:45:53.900 Sheila,
00:45:54.120 when I was
00:45:54.500 in Hamilton
00:45:55.080 covering an
00:45:56.140 anti-lockdown
00:45:56.880 protest.
00:45:57.540 And Hamilton
00:45:57.900 bylaw,
00:45:58.660 they didn't
00:45:58.960 even show
00:45:59.320 up on the
00:45:59.680 scene.
00:46:00.400 They took a
00:46:01.160 picture of
00:46:01.520 me with a
00:46:01.980 telephoto lens
00:46:02.920 getting within
00:46:03.980 arm's length
00:46:04.920 of a
00:46:05.540 protester who
00:46:06.260 I was
00:46:06.540 interviewing and
00:46:07.820 then emailed
00:46:08.860 me the
00:46:09.600 ticket,
00:46:11.740 not even
00:46:12.400 doing,
00:46:13.000 usually it's a
00:46:14.240 peace officer
00:46:14.880 or at the
00:46:15.260 very least a
00:46:15.880 courier that
00:46:16.480 brings it to
00:46:16.980 you.
00:46:17.320 No, a
00:46:17.720 simple email.
00:46:18.860 And we
00:46:19.260 discussed this
00:46:19.860 at the time.
00:46:20.400 It was a
00:46:20.680 special kind
00:46:21.300 of ticket
00:46:21.700 called an
00:46:22.220 AMPS,
00:46:23.460 an administrative,
00:46:24.800 municipal,
00:46:25.300 I can't
00:46:26.440 remember the
00:46:26.840 other two
00:46:27.540 words, I
00:46:28.040 should know
00:46:28.720 this, but
00:46:29.360 basically what
00:46:29.940 it translates
00:46:30.420 into is you
00:46:31.500 cannot fight
00:46:32.300 this in the
00:46:32.760 court of
00:46:33.100 law, you
00:46:34.180 have to
00:46:34.700 pay.
00:46:35.960 And it is
00:46:37.560 like drive
00:46:38.620 through justice,
00:46:40.100 you know,
00:46:40.600 they're trying to
00:46:41.220 make it so
00:46:41.840 easy for
00:46:42.880 themselves.
00:46:43.740 And let's
00:46:44.480 not get
00:46:44.920 involved with
00:46:45.500 that justicy
00:46:46.340 part, whether
00:46:46.920 it's me getting
00:46:47.640 my day in
00:46:48.200 court with
00:46:48.580 this Hamilton
00:46:49.380 ticket for
00:46:49.980 $560,
00:46:51.960 folks, can
00:46:52.400 you imagine?
00:46:53.460 By the way,
00:46:54.040 there was none
00:46:54.580 of these tickets
00:46:55.140 going out to
00:46:56.040 pro-Hamas
00:46:57.340 demonstrators in
00:46:58.440 May at this
00:46:59.320 very same
00:46:59.940 City Hall
00:47:00.360 Square.
00:47:01.260 None of
00:47:01.880 these tickets
00:47:02.340 went out to
00:47:02.980 Black Lives
00:47:03.600 Matter
00:47:03.940 demonstrators
00:47:04.660 outside City
00:47:05.500 Hall last
00:47:06.580 year.
00:47:06.820 So they're
00:47:07.080 very selective
00:47:08.080 politically who
00:47:09.420 they're going
00:47:09.700 to get.
00:47:10.020 And by the
00:47:10.380 way, that
00:47:10.720 protest, there
00:47:11.380 was like nine
00:47:11.980 people there.
00:47:13.520 I mean, it
00:47:14.100 was socially
00:47:14.980 distanced galore.
00:47:17.580 It's a fix.
00:47:19.980 That's all I
00:47:21.300 have to, what
00:47:22.120 does Ezra like
00:47:22.980 to quote Tommy
00:47:24.520 saying?
00:47:25.140 It's a stitch
00:47:25.780 up, right?
00:47:26.780 Yeah.
00:47:27.620 Yeah, where's
00:47:28.120 the presumption
00:47:28.820 of innocence if
00:47:29.900 you don't have
00:47:30.460 the ability to
00:47:32.260 argue for your
00:47:33.040 innocence?
00:47:33.640 Yeah.
00:47:35.000 I agree.
00:47:35.900 And shamefully,
00:47:37.160 in the case of
00:47:37.840 the Amps ticket,
00:47:39.140 this survived the
00:47:39.960 charter challenge
00:47:40.660 by the Supreme
00:47:41.340 Court.
00:47:41.780 Yeah, they're
00:47:42.340 fine with
00:47:42.880 Canadian citizens
00:47:44.520 not having their
00:47:45.440 day in court.
00:47:46.460 How could any
00:47:47.320 judge, let alone
00:47:48.560 a Supreme Court
00:47:49.540 justice, think
00:47:50.200 that's a good
00:47:50.780 idea?
00:47:51.600 They are animals
00:47:52.820 of the justice
00:47:53.440 system.
00:47:54.000 The court is
00:47:55.100 their bailiwick
00:47:55.780 and they're
00:47:56.160 saying, yeah,
00:47:57.080 courts aren't
00:47:57.600 required.
00:47:58.440 This is crazy.
00:48:01.460 Well, think
00:48:01.860 about the
00:48:03.020 court orders
00:48:03.640 that are coming
00:48:04.120 down in Alberta.
00:48:05.120 You heard
00:48:05.520 Pastor Art
00:48:07.060 refer to the
00:48:07.700 Rook order.
00:48:08.320 So that's the
00:48:09.000 May 6th Rook
00:48:10.160 order.
00:48:10.540 I think it
00:48:10.880 will go down
00:48:11.460 in infamy.
00:48:12.500 That's the
00:48:12.940 one that
00:48:14.080 Alberta Health
00:48:14.880 Services sought
00:48:15.880 in secret
00:48:16.760 against Chris
00:48:18.340 Scott.
00:48:19.800 Glenn
00:48:20.120 Carrot.
00:48:22.140 So Glenn
00:48:23.080 is a municipal
00:48:23.880 politician in
00:48:25.160 central Alberta
00:48:26.020 who just is
00:48:27.060 trying to hold
00:48:27.820 campaign events
00:48:29.640 in person.
00:48:31.920 And Chris
00:48:33.060 Scott, they
00:48:34.160 sought the
00:48:34.860 order to
00:48:35.300 preemptively
00:48:36.540 block him from
00:48:37.360 holding a
00:48:37.900 protest against
00:48:39.640 the government
00:48:40.240 seizing his
00:48:41.780 restaurant, gas
00:48:43.380 station, convenience
00:48:44.560 store, and
00:48:45.520 campground in
00:48:46.540 the same
00:48:46.960 week, resulting
00:48:48.060 in the
00:48:48.380 collective
00:48:48.780 punishment of
00:48:49.520 the entire
00:48:49.940 town of
00:48:50.340 Mirror because
00:48:50.820 they cut them
00:48:51.320 off from their
00:48:51.740 only convenience
00:48:52.360 store within
00:48:52.920 20 kilometers.
00:48:54.260 They did it
00:48:55.080 in secret.
00:48:56.180 Chad Williamson,
00:48:57.120 the lawyer, only
00:48:58.040 found out about
00:48:58.800 the order after
00:48:59.660 it had been
00:49:00.220 granted at
00:49:01.120 like 6 o'clock
00:49:02.480 the next day.
00:49:04.160 So that's how
00:49:04.660 they're rolling in
00:49:05.240 Alberta, star
00:49:05.980 chambers, eh,
00:49:06.940 Sheila?
00:49:08.080 Exactly.
00:49:09.160 Alberta Health
00:49:09.660 Services goes
00:49:10.400 in front of this
00:49:11.080 judge, doesn't
00:49:12.360 inform the
00:49:13.660 judge that
00:49:14.620 Chris Scott
00:49:16.100 has a lawyer,
00:49:17.060 doesn't inform
00:49:18.060 Chris Scott's
00:49:18.860 lawyer that
00:49:19.380 there's a
00:49:19.680 proceeding against
00:49:20.420 him, gets the
00:49:21.620 order, and now
00:49:22.740 the government is
00:49:23.480 using this order
00:49:24.240 that specifically
00:49:25.160 only names Chris
00:49:26.360 Scott and Glenn
00:49:27.320 Carrot to arrest
00:49:28.820 everybody else.
00:49:30.100 That's the order
00:49:30.960 that they used to
00:49:31.740 arrest Art
00:49:32.580 Poloski on the
00:49:33.560 street.
00:49:34.180 That's the order
00:49:34.880 that they've used
00:49:35.520 to arrest Tim
00:49:36.260 Stevens.
00:49:37.520 Because not only
00:49:38.540 did they say
00:49:39.660 Chris Scott, they
00:49:40.580 shoehorned unnamed
00:49:42.360 Jane and John
00:49:43.300 Dose.
00:49:43.760 So all of us
00:49:44.860 are in legal
00:49:45.600 jeopardy now if
00:49:46.560 we don't exactly
00:49:47.860 follow the
00:49:48.960 coronavirus regulations.
00:49:50.640 It's insane.
00:49:51.820 And to hear
00:49:52.900 Jason Kenney's
00:49:54.580 staffers say
00:49:57.060 that you're an
00:49:57.880 extremist if you
00:49:59.240 think that the
00:49:59.880 government shouldn't
00:50:01.100 be sneaking around
00:50:02.200 behind closed doors
00:50:03.300 and violating
00:50:04.100 people's right to
00:50:05.300 be represented by a
00:50:06.380 lawyer.
00:50:06.900 I mean, give me a
00:50:08.760 break.
00:50:09.080 The entire
00:50:10.160 conservative movement
00:50:11.180 in Alberta needs
00:50:12.000 to be gutted and
00:50:13.280 it needs to be built
00:50:14.340 again from the
00:50:15.000 ground up.
00:50:15.940 And so many of
00:50:17.220 these people just
00:50:17.920 need to wander the
00:50:18.820 desert in exile.
00:50:20.100 You know, Sheila,
00:50:21.060 I'm very confused
00:50:22.060 right now what an
00:50:23.040 extremist means.
00:50:24.480 I mean, in the
00:50:25.140 Edmonton area, isn't
00:50:26.560 that where little
00:50:27.360 Omar Cotter is
00:50:28.480 living with a
00:50:29.460 $10.5 million
00:50:30.880 taxpayer check?
00:50:34.340 So he's a
00:50:35.160 multimillionaire by
00:50:36.700 his type of
00:50:37.740 extremism, but
00:50:39.180 somebody just
00:50:39.840 trying to open
00:50:40.540 their store, that
00:50:42.020 is an extremist?
00:50:43.720 Did the world go
00:50:44.780 upside down with
00:50:47.620 the coronavirus
00:50:49.520 coming in?
00:50:51.800 Yeah.
00:50:52.240 I mean, think
00:50:52.780 about this.
00:50:53.540 The government
00:50:54.080 took Chris Scott's
00:50:55.260 business from him,
00:50:56.720 punished the whole
00:50:57.680 town by doing it.
00:50:58.760 And he says, I
00:51:00.340 don't know what
00:51:00.800 else to do.
00:51:01.820 I don't want to
00:51:02.600 go broke.
00:51:03.760 I should protest
00:51:04.620 these things that
00:51:05.600 the government is
00:51:06.280 doing to me.
00:51:06.960 And the whole
00:51:07.340 town says, yeah,
00:51:08.060 let's let's all
00:51:09.140 show up, too,
00:51:09.860 because we're
00:51:10.440 being punished,
00:51:11.220 too.
00:51:11.700 They do that.
00:51:13.380 And he goes to
00:51:14.540 jail for three
00:51:16.800 days.
00:51:18.280 And then get
00:51:19.180 this yesterday.
00:51:20.320 The government
00:51:21.140 would not say
00:51:22.240 and they have
00:51:23.040 about two weeks
00:51:23.820 to make their
00:51:24.380 minds up.
00:51:25.600 They wouldn't
00:51:26.320 say if they
00:51:28.560 are seeking a
00:51:29.840 further term of
00:51:30.780 incarceration as a
00:51:31.960 sanction for
00:51:32.820 breaking that
00:51:35.220 judge's court
00:51:35.920 order.
00:51:36.200 So they've
00:51:37.440 taken two
00:51:38.100 days from
00:51:38.760 Art.
00:51:40.280 They've taken
00:51:41.020 three days from
00:51:42.620 Chris Scott.
00:51:44.640 God knows how
00:51:45.680 many days they
00:51:46.400 are going to
00:51:47.000 take from Tim
00:51:47.760 Stevens, that
00:51:48.620 poor man, and
00:51:49.760 his poor family.
00:51:51.300 But they could
00:51:52.400 ask for more.
00:51:53.280 They could ask
00:51:53.780 for a further
00:51:54.520 term of
00:51:54.940 incarceration.
00:51:55.940 So these guys,
00:51:57.220 in July, when
00:51:58.900 they get their
00:51:59.400 judgment on the
00:52:01.380 sanction, they
00:52:02.800 might have to
00:52:03.680 turn themselves
00:52:04.620 in to serve
00:52:05.480 more jail time
00:52:06.160 while Jason
00:52:07.260 Kenney is up
00:52:07.900 there on the
00:52:08.400 Sky Palace.
00:52:09.500 And you know,
00:52:10.060 as far as I
00:52:10.680 can tell, Sheila,
00:52:12.240 the one person
00:52:13.180 in Alberta in
00:52:14.420 the political
00:52:14.920 realm smiling
00:52:15.920 like the
00:52:16.380 Cheshire cat has
00:52:17.580 to be Rachel
00:52:18.220 Notley.
00:52:18.900 Not only because
00:52:19.960 she also agrees
00:52:21.540 with this kind of
00:52:22.460 roundup and
00:52:23.120 incarceration of
00:52:24.140 pastors, but
00:52:25.200 because she
00:52:25.960 knows the
00:52:26.960 conservative base
00:52:28.140 is being fractured
00:52:29.580 over this.
00:52:30.600 And that might be
00:52:31.620 her inroad into
00:52:32.900 getting back in
00:52:33.620 power.
00:52:34.080 And I never in
00:52:35.160 a million years
00:52:35.960 thought I'd ever
00:52:36.760 say that again.
00:52:37.800 I thought she and
00:52:38.600 her party ruling
00:52:39.760 Alberta was a
00:52:40.640 statistical anomaly.
00:52:42.300 But Jason Kenney
00:52:43.340 with this kind of
00:52:44.640 monkey business,
00:52:45.540 he's paving the
00:52:46.540 way for Rachel
00:52:47.640 Notley 2.0, I
00:52:48.900 think.
00:52:50.160 Yeah, never
00:52:50.540 underestimate the
00:52:51.540 ability of the
00:52:52.160 conservative movement
00:52:52.960 to snatch defeat
00:52:54.060 from the jaws of
00:52:54.880 victory.
00:52:55.320 They do it all
00:52:56.420 the time.
00:52:58.540 You know, and
00:52:58.900 when you hear
00:52:59.360 Jason Kenney's
00:53:00.200 defenders, it
00:53:01.300 his employed
00:53:02.840 defenders, the
00:53:03.640 people who work
00:53:04.180 for him, who
00:53:04.660 are defending
00:53:05.080 him, they'll
00:53:05.780 say stuff like
00:53:06.500 don't be mean
00:53:07.080 to Dina Hinshaw,
00:53:08.560 she's using data
00:53:09.840 to make these
00:53:10.540 decisions.
00:53:11.280 Okay, so
00:53:11.700 produce it.
00:53:12.800 Because you
00:53:13.480 couldn't, they
00:53:14.020 refused to
00:53:15.140 produce the
00:53:15.900 data she used
00:53:18.860 to justify the
00:53:20.860 incarceration of
00:53:22.240 people because
00:53:24.220 they said they
00:53:24.700 needed more time.
00:53:26.360 How is that
00:53:27.200 possible?
00:53:27.760 You say you
00:53:28.240 have the data
00:53:28.940 and the data
00:53:30.540 supports the
00:53:31.180 incarceration of
00:53:31.960 these men, but
00:53:32.940 when these men
00:53:33.900 are trying to
00:53:34.360 defend themselves
00:53:35.000 in court, the
00:53:36.320 government says
00:53:36.840 they need more
00:53:37.280 time to produce
00:53:37.900 the data.
00:53:39.040 You already had
00:53:40.060 it.
00:53:40.860 What is it with
00:53:41.620 these people that
00:53:42.340 say, just look at
00:53:43.580 the data, that
00:53:44.420 clears us, and
00:53:45.140 then not producing.
00:53:46.100 Show me the data!
00:53:47.340 Yeah, and then
00:53:48.420 do they think no
00:53:49.320 one's going to take
00:53:49.940 them up on their
00:53:50.560 offer and ask it?
00:53:51.420 It's like a couple
00:53:52.180 months ago, Dr.
00:53:53.360 Samantha Hill of the
00:53:54.220 Ontario Medical
00:53:54.880 Association saying
00:53:55.980 if you doubt that
00:53:57.360 any hospitals, you
00:53:59.520 know, IC unit is in
00:54:00.780 a war zone right
00:54:01.740 now because of
00:54:02.460 COVID, just go and
00:54:04.080 ask for a tour, and
00:54:05.360 I did, and they
00:54:06.420 said, well, she
00:54:07.320 didn't really mean
00:54:08.080 that.
00:54:08.280 That was like a
00:54:08.860 personal thought on
00:54:10.180 live TV with tens
00:54:12.000 of thousands of
00:54:12.820 people watching.
00:54:14.080 Yeah, this is so
00:54:15.360 frustrating, Sheila.
00:54:16.560 They're just, you
00:54:17.340 know, pulling stuff
00:54:18.400 out of there, you
00:54:19.000 know what?
00:54:20.500 You know, there's so
00:54:21.200 much denial in all
00:54:22.640 of this.
00:54:23.100 You know, when I
00:54:23.820 see these professional
00:54:24.960 defenders of the
00:54:27.060 locker-downers out
00:54:28.540 there, I think, you
00:54:29.320 know what?
00:54:30.400 Get out of the
00:54:31.180 premier's office for
00:54:32.200 a second and go talk
00:54:33.760 to the people whose
00:54:34.520 lives you've destroyed.
00:54:36.040 Quit talking to the
00:54:37.000 bureaucrats who
00:54:37.660 haven't lost a penny
00:54:38.540 and talk to the
00:54:39.660 people you're hurting.
00:54:41.000 But you know what?
00:54:41.780 Denial is a powerful
00:54:42.940 thing because if you
00:54:43.940 go talk to those
00:54:44.960 people, then you can
00:54:46.460 no longer convince
00:54:47.760 yourself that you've
00:54:49.420 done the right thing.
00:54:50.480 You have to come to
00:54:51.680 serious terms with what
00:54:53.080 you've done, not just
00:54:54.060 to that one person
00:54:55.060 you're talking to, but
00:54:56.740 society as a whole.
00:54:58.560 And so I really don't
00:54:59.640 think they want that
00:55:00.580 mask to slip.
00:55:01.660 They don't want to see
00:55:03.080 finally through the
00:55:04.140 fog to what they've
00:55:05.460 done.
00:55:05.820 So they just are not
00:55:06.980 going to sit down
00:55:09.180 with Raquel Stevens
00:55:10.360 and look those kids
00:55:12.360 in the face.
00:55:13.020 They just won't.
00:55:13.880 They can't.
00:55:14.640 They can't do it
00:55:15.280 because this denial is
00:55:17.160 a protection thing
00:55:18.460 that they do.
00:55:19.540 And also, Sheila, I
00:55:20.960 thought as the
00:55:21.720 Premier, surely the
00:55:23.340 buck stops at
00:55:24.600 Premier Kenney's
00:55:25.780 office or his
00:55:27.300 desk, rather.
00:55:28.300 Or is he like
00:55:29.440 Premier Doug Ford
00:55:30.420 here in Ontario?
00:55:31.520 Oh, well, if I had
00:55:32.460 my way, you see, I'd
00:55:33.580 do this.
00:55:34.040 But it's the team,
00:55:34.980 you see, folks.
00:55:35.700 It's the team.
00:55:36.700 No, no, no.
00:55:37.340 You're the Premier.
00:55:38.560 You're the leader.
00:55:40.200 You know, you don't
00:55:40.700 need teams.
00:55:41.500 You can listen to
00:55:42.840 advice from the teams
00:55:43.900 and you could say,
00:55:44.540 point noted, I'm still
00:55:45.620 going ahead with this.
00:55:46.980 That's not leadership.
00:55:48.280 That's cowardice.
00:55:50.160 We didn't vote for
00:55:51.060 the team.
00:55:51.680 Exactly.
00:55:52.100 We didn't vote for
00:55:52.760 the team.
00:55:53.360 We voted for the
00:55:54.320 guy.
00:55:55.200 So be the guy.
00:55:56.780 Nobody voted for the
00:55:57.880 Chief Medical Officer
00:55:58.720 of Health.
00:55:59.460 And when this is all
00:56:00.380 said and done, she's
00:56:01.340 still going to be the
00:56:02.400 highest paid bureaucrat
00:56:03.820 in the province, making
00:56:05.560 more than the Premier.
00:56:07.540 Nothing changes for
00:56:08.780 her.
00:56:09.080 Whether you listen to
00:56:09.900 her or not, she's
00:56:10.800 still pushing paper and
00:56:13.040 writing down bad ideas.
00:56:14.700 Yeah.
00:56:14.940 Nothing changes for
00:56:15.820 her.
00:56:16.200 Pushing paper, not
00:56:17.120 seeing patients.
00:56:18.260 I love how Ezra
00:56:19.480 mentioned a couple
00:56:20.280 of weeks ago, as a
00:56:21.600 matter of policy, let's
00:56:23.300 not call these health
00:56:24.740 bureaucrats top
00:56:25.940 doctors, as the
00:56:27.200 mainstream media likes
00:56:28.760 to call them.
00:56:29.720 These are bureaucrats.
00:56:31.880 These are health
00:56:33.060 authoritarians.
00:56:35.120 Many of them haven't
00:56:36.620 practiced medicine in
00:56:37.680 decades, Sheila.
00:56:38.740 So let's get that, you
00:56:41.080 know, vocabulary out of
00:56:42.720 the mainstream.
00:56:43.720 Top doctors.
00:56:45.140 You know, and when you
00:56:46.120 tell me that's the
00:56:46.980 highest paid bureaucrat
00:56:49.060 in Alberta, man, that
00:56:50.120 just gets my blood
00:56:51.220 boiling.
00:56:52.460 I think they're the
00:56:52.940 highest paid bureaucrats
00:56:53.900 across the land.
00:56:55.700 Wasn't Fauci the
00:56:56.760 highest paid bureaucrat
00:56:57.860 in the federal
00:56:58.620 government?
00:56:59.580 Correct me if I'm
00:57:00.400 wrong.
00:57:00.980 You might be right.
00:57:02.280 And the number of
00:57:03.720 years he's held on to
00:57:05.140 that position through so
00:57:07.120 many flawed decisions.
00:57:09.340 I mean, that guy's got
00:57:10.900 more lives than the
00:57:11.780 proverbial cat, you know,
00:57:13.360 but you're right.
00:57:15.100 They don't really excel
00:57:16.880 at medicine.
00:57:17.660 They excel at keeping
00:57:19.140 their six-figure or
00:57:21.000 sometimes seven-figure
00:57:22.100 job plus benefits, of
00:57:23.760 course.
00:57:24.480 And it's egregious.
00:57:27.180 I think we have some
00:57:28.220 more chats, don't we,
00:57:29.160 Sheila?
00:57:29.420 Yes.
00:57:30.040 Justin has whispered it
00:57:31.380 twice in our ears.
00:57:32.660 Okay.
00:57:33.060 We've got a hyper chat.
00:57:34.420 Sorry.
00:57:35.240 We've got a hyper chat
00:57:35.880 from Casperius.
00:57:37.540 Keep up the good work.
00:57:38.360 Your neighbor from the
00:57:39.140 U.S.
00:57:40.000 Thank you very much.
00:57:40.960 We've got a hyper chat
00:57:41.760 from Celtic Mutt.
00:57:43.140 Khaleesi Sheila, if you
00:57:44.480 have changed your mind
00:57:45.360 about this, and then he
00:57:46.380 sends me the Meditarian
00:57:47.360 sticker, perhaps this one
00:57:49.640 will be more your speed,
00:57:50.600 and it's a free Canada
00:57:51.660 sticker.
00:57:52.900 So, no, I haven't changed
00:57:54.200 my mind about the other
00:57:54.920 one.
00:57:55.380 I just haven't pulled the
00:57:57.760 trigger on anything yet.
00:57:59.540 Super U, a Super U
00:58:01.920 shout from AMT60.
00:58:04.220 Do you know any
00:58:04.700 lawyers' numbers or can
00:58:06.080 rebel help being
00:58:06.860 threatened by my
00:58:07.520 health care workplace
00:58:08.540 about the jab?
00:58:10.320 We have to give VAX
00:58:11.320 status by July 31st, and
00:58:13.160 if we don't get the jab,
00:58:14.340 we may be prohibited
00:58:15.220 from work.
00:58:15.880 We don't do a ton of
00:58:17.320 employment law.
00:58:18.180 We mostly just fight the
00:58:19.180 tickets and summonses and
00:58:22.300 fines, and in some cases,
00:58:25.120 very rare cases, criminal
00:58:27.080 cases that are stemming
00:58:28.320 from tickets and stuff like
00:58:29.400 that.
00:58:29.740 So, my best advice would
00:58:32.600 be to reach out.
00:58:34.060 Unfortunately, I'm going to
00:58:35.760 direct you away from
00:58:36.640 Rebel News and probably over
00:58:37.700 to the Justice Centre for
00:58:38.720 Constitutional Freedoms.
00:58:39.960 However, we would still
00:58:40.940 like to cover your story.
00:58:42.380 So, if you want to send
00:58:43.140 us an email at tips
00:58:45.520 at rebelnews.com, that
00:58:48.280 will come directly to my
00:58:49.360 email, and I'll disperse it
00:58:50.820 to the right journalist.
00:58:52.300 But I can say this,
00:58:53.620 Sheila, disturbingly.
00:58:55.100 I was listening on the
00:58:56.280 radio to Howard Leavitt,
00:58:58.400 who might indeed be
00:58:59.900 Canada's number one
00:59:01.780 labour lawyer.
00:59:03.020 employer, and his
00:59:05.340 consensus is, you know,
00:59:06.740 going through the
00:59:08.020 legislation, going through
00:59:09.300 all the labour law, that
00:59:10.780 an employer does indeed
00:59:12.940 have that right to request
00:59:14.880 that you take the jab in
00:59:17.040 order to remain employed.
00:59:18.900 And those aren't my words,
00:59:20.020 folks.
00:59:20.220 That's Howard Leavitt, who
00:59:21.160 knows, who has forgotten
00:59:22.860 more about labour law than
00:59:24.120 I'm ever going to learn.
00:59:25.140 But when I heard that, I
00:59:26.660 thought, that is very
00:59:28.340 disturbing indeed.
00:59:29.360 Yeah, and it's funny
00:59:31.380 because there's so many
00:59:32.440 people who are saying
00:59:33.240 this from unionised
00:59:35.200 workplaces, and you'd
00:59:36.380 think the union would,
00:59:37.580 they tell me, they like
00:59:39.120 to defend the rights of
00:59:40.320 the employee.
00:59:41.460 Oh, no.
00:59:41.860 Except, more generally,
00:59:44.040 they defend the rights
00:59:46.120 of the union leadership
00:59:48.780 to continue to take more
00:59:50.000 money from the employee.
00:59:51.840 Basically, that's what
00:59:52.820 modern unions do these
00:59:53.900 days.
00:59:54.400 And it's never been more
00:59:55.600 evident than now, during
00:59:56.840 the time of the
00:59:57.360 coronavirus, where people
00:59:58.660 are being forced to
01:00:00.200 divulge their private
01:00:01.180 medical histories to
01:00:02.200 their employers just to
01:00:03.860 hang on to their jobs.
01:00:06.500 We've got a hyperchat
01:00:07.480 from Adam Wanders.
01:00:09.000 Thank you for what
01:00:10.020 you're doing as a
01:00:10.820 Canadian and a Christian.
01:00:11.760 I can see our rights
01:00:12.380 being stripped away
01:00:13.080 slowly.
01:00:13.880 We appreciate the good
01:00:14.780 media.
01:00:15.200 Well, thank you very
01:00:15.760 much.
01:00:16.700 We've got a super you
01:00:17.800 tip from Fraser McBurney.
01:00:20.300 Fraser is a
01:00:21.560 fightthefines.com
01:00:23.000 recidivist from
01:00:24.740 Hamilton, I believe.
01:00:26.840 Fraser, good to see
01:00:27.740 you.
01:00:27.840 Thank you very much
01:00:28.500 for the $10.
01:00:30.840 Fraser Bo says,
01:00:32.180 getting ready for
01:00:32.920 Dominion Day at
01:00:34.040 Bayfront Park in
01:00:35.180 Hamilton.
01:00:35.800 Join us at 7 p.m.
01:00:37.200 pulled pork hamburgers.
01:00:38.760 Well, if you're trying
01:00:39.960 to lure David with
01:00:40.920 food, that just might
01:00:41.840 work.
01:00:43.140 Yeah, just don't be
01:00:43.940 surprised if you get
01:00:44.820 an email from Hamilton
01:00:45.980 bylaw finding you
01:00:47.400 560 bucks for you
01:00:49.500 consuming a burger too
01:00:50.800 close to somebody.
01:00:51.980 So just let that be
01:00:53.860 known.
01:00:54.200 That's how they roll in
01:00:55.340 Steel Town now.
01:00:56.220 Don't laugh, Fraser.
01:00:58.940 Be somber.
01:00:59.920 No fun will be had
01:01:01.060 because that's illegal
01:01:01.940 too.
01:01:02.340 No chuckling.
01:01:03.380 Oh, that's
01:01:03.760 Peter Pearl.
01:01:07.140 Ontario is the worst.
01:01:08.880 Just absolutely the worst.
01:01:11.540 Bunch of fun burglars in
01:01:13.080 charge over there.
01:01:15.440 We've got a hyper chat
01:01:16.380 from Rebecca Henderson.
01:01:17.300 I called my PCPMP deal
01:01:21.680 Allison to tell him, I
01:01:23.380 think that's Dean
01:01:23.900 Allison, to tell him how
01:01:25.480 angered I was back when
01:01:27.180 Pastor James was in jail
01:01:28.640 and the church was
01:01:30.420 occupied.
01:01:31.480 He said he was angry too
01:01:32.840 and it is unacceptable.
01:01:34.340 Okay, great.
01:01:34.920 Do something about it.
01:01:35.980 I think you mean UCPMP or
01:01:38.000 use, I don't know.
01:01:39.360 I don't know.
01:01:39.640 PCP.
01:01:40.240 I'm not sure.
01:01:41.580 I think he means CPC.
01:01:43.380 Dean, he said he needs
01:01:45.300 to be publicly, I said he
01:01:47.180 needs to be publicly
01:01:47.920 outspoken about it
01:01:49.240 because or else it
01:01:50.300 doesn't matter.
01:01:51.000 Yeah, still haven't seen
01:01:52.120 him publicly speak out.
01:01:53.560 You won't see a single
01:01:54.880 conservative speak out
01:01:56.840 one of these official
01:01:58.640 conservatives from the
01:02:00.060 federal party.
01:02:00.880 They're all pretty mad
01:02:02.260 about churches burning.
01:02:03.780 I've seen a few of those
01:02:04.900 including my own MP
01:02:06.800 Garnet Jenis.
01:02:07.780 He's upset about
01:02:09.180 churches burning and
01:02:10.040 thanks for that.
01:02:10.840 But Jason
01:02:13.840 Kenney arrested three
01:02:14.700 pastors and then fenced
01:02:15.760 off a church and seized
01:02:17.160 another one.
01:02:17.780 I mean, he did actually
01:02:18.940 change the locks on
01:02:20.900 Fairview Baptist, so
01:02:22.740 Tim Stevens Church.
01:02:23.860 So even though you
01:02:24.980 arrested their pastor,
01:02:25.820 they can't meet and
01:02:26.540 we've got churches
01:02:27.280 underground here in
01:02:28.220 Alberta.
01:02:29.120 But yeah, I mean,
01:02:30.220 thanks for saying
01:02:30.840 something about the
01:02:31.480 churches burning.
01:02:32.360 I guess that's
01:02:32.800 something, but why
01:02:33.960 didn't you say
01:02:34.380 something before when
01:02:36.960 things were happening
01:02:37.620 to Christians in
01:02:38.300 Alberta?
01:02:39.460 On that file, Sheila,
01:02:40.840 don't you find it
01:02:41.860 spectacular, there's
01:02:43.240 no other word, of
01:02:44.600 how little media
01:02:45.780 coverage there is
01:02:46.840 about this?
01:02:47.680 We talked about this
01:02:48.580 in the morning
01:02:50.020 meeting.
01:02:50.940 If these were
01:02:51.940 mosques, if these
01:02:52.860 were Hindu or Sikh
01:02:53.860 temples, you know,
01:02:55.440 fill in the blank.
01:02:56.880 This is front page
01:02:57.860 news.
01:02:58.300 There's probably
01:02:58.760 royal inquiries.
01:03:00.140 Justin Trudeau is
01:03:01.040 flying to the burnt
01:03:02.480 remains of the place
01:03:03.760 of worship and it's
01:03:04.860 almost like radio
01:03:05.580 silence.
01:03:06.220 Yeah, I wish this
01:03:10.400 were treated as
01:03:11.680 seriously by the
01:03:13.440 prime minister as
01:03:14.500 a little girl
01:03:15.240 getting her hijab
01:03:16.600 tugged at, which
01:03:18.600 turned out to be a
01:03:19.480 lie.
01:03:19.980 Yeah.
01:03:21.400 But, you know,
01:03:22.600 five churches have
01:03:23.520 been burned.
01:03:24.380 Several have been
01:03:25.460 vandalized, including
01:03:26.840 one in Edmonton of
01:03:29.180 it's a Polish
01:03:30.820 Catholic church.
01:03:32.200 They vandalized the
01:03:33.260 statue of St.
01:03:34.520 John Paul II outside
01:03:35.600 and just speaking to
01:03:37.600 the complete idiocy of
01:03:38.840 these vandals, because
01:03:39.980 there has not been a
01:03:41.540 more pro-Indigenous
01:03:43.020 pope in the church,
01:03:45.740 in the history of the
01:03:46.900 church, than John
01:03:48.080 Paul II.
01:03:48.520 His 1984 trip through
01:03:49.880 Canada was basically an
01:03:51.040 apology tour, a
01:03:52.260 reconciliation tour to
01:03:53.540 the Indigenous people.
01:03:54.900 He was upset that he
01:03:56.460 couldn't make it to
01:03:57.340 Fort Simpson, so he
01:03:58.340 sent them a special
01:03:59.080 message in 1987.
01:04:00.220 I think he actually
01:04:01.080 went back to Fort
01:04:02.060 Simpson.
01:04:05.540 The entire trip in
01:04:07.620 1984 with the pope is
01:04:09.040 just pictures of him
01:04:10.260 kissing Indigenous
01:04:11.160 people.
01:04:12.960 And, you know, he
01:04:14.080 was responsible for
01:04:17.040 the naming of St.
01:04:18.700 Kateri, the lily of
01:04:20.800 the Mohawks.
01:04:23.320 But these vandals, they
01:04:25.120 don't care because
01:04:26.200 for them it's about the
01:04:28.160 destruction of the
01:04:29.960 Christian religion and
01:04:31.720 not about holding
01:04:32.580 people to account for
01:04:34.220 what they've done.
01:04:35.620 And that's evident in
01:04:37.060 the fact that they are
01:04:37.780 burning churches
01:04:39.020 attended by Indigenous
01:04:40.480 people.
01:04:41.260 These churches that
01:04:42.380 they're burning, it's a
01:04:44.680 building, sure.
01:04:45.740 But within that
01:04:46.660 building, people are
01:04:48.040 baptized, people are
01:04:49.200 married, they're
01:04:49.900 confirmed, they go
01:04:51.800 through the steps of
01:04:52.700 being initiated into
01:04:54.660 the faith.
01:04:55.060 It's the history of
01:04:56.260 families.
01:04:57.540 And they are, some of
01:04:58.720 these churches to this
01:04:59.700 day, Indigenous people
01:05:01.340 attend them, and now
01:05:02.720 you've burned an
01:05:04.140 Indigenous congregation's
01:05:05.960 place of worship.
01:05:07.280 And for what?
01:05:08.600 In the name of what?
01:05:09.960 Reconciliation?
01:05:11.320 No, it's bringing more
01:05:13.080 misery to that community,
01:05:14.580 Sheila.
01:05:15.520 Yeah, that's exactly it.
01:05:17.000 That's exactly it.
01:05:17.840 Nobody's asking the
01:05:18.920 community what they want.
01:05:20.020 But it's just, it's
01:05:22.380 really despicable.
01:05:23.460 And I mean, there is
01:05:26.320 a plague, a spate, a
01:05:30.780 crime wave against
01:05:32.740 Christian churches in
01:05:33.800 Canada.
01:05:35.420 And none of the
01:05:37.340 official people in
01:05:38.820 power are really
01:05:39.640 talking about it at
01:05:40.540 all.
01:05:40.740 We've got some outrage
01:05:41.980 from some of the
01:05:43.060 official opposition.
01:05:44.480 But where's Justin
01:05:45.460 Trudeau?
01:05:46.520 Where's the Heritage
01:05:47.440 Minister?
01:05:48.180 Some of these churches
01:05:48.920 are historical sites.
01:05:50.020 Yeah.
01:05:51.940 You know?
01:05:52.960 Anyway.
01:05:54.020 We're right to be on a
01:05:55.220 watch list, according to
01:05:56.520 Josh Hawley.
01:05:58.260 He's not wrong to
01:05:59.420 suggest that we belong
01:06:00.320 on it, because the way
01:06:02.580 that the government is
01:06:03.560 not taking any of these
01:06:04.800 attacks on Christians
01:06:06.940 seriously, I mean,
01:06:09.480 someone's got to take it
01:06:11.080 seriously.
01:06:11.600 And if it means the
01:06:12.400 United States, well, then
01:06:13.460 I welcome it.
01:06:16.600 We've got a hyperjet from
01:06:19.940 Adam Wanders.
01:06:20.900 Did Trudeau move the
01:06:21.800 election?
01:06:22.660 Nope.
01:06:22.920 Not yet.
01:06:25.260 I wouldn't be surprised
01:06:26.280 if he tried, though, but
01:06:27.140 no, not yet.
01:06:28.880 A hyperchat of Mimich.
01:06:32.340 It's just a heart.
01:06:33.280 Well, thank you.
01:06:34.100 We've got a hyperchat from
01:06:35.040 Benga.
01:06:35.460 Green fire on your shirt,
01:06:36.560 Sheila.
01:06:36.860 Not on you.
01:06:37.400 Oh, it's not green fire.
01:06:39.360 I don't know if you can
01:06:39.940 see that.
01:06:41.620 It's my microphone's
01:06:43.660 probably in the way.
01:06:44.660 It's a maple leaf with
01:06:46.540 Diefenbaker's face in it.
01:06:48.300 Ah.
01:06:48.840 So Dief the chief in its
01:06:50.880 vote Diefenbaker shirt,
01:06:52.520 my favorite prime minister.
01:06:53.540 And my favorite Diefenbaker
01:06:57.800 clip of all time, Sheila,
01:06:59.460 and you can Google it,
01:07:00.920 is him watching Paul
01:07:04.160 Henderson score the winning
01:07:05.500 goal in the Canada-Russia,
01:07:07.560 Canada-Soviet Union summit
01:07:09.160 series.
01:07:11.000 That's about as wild as
01:07:13.040 Diefenbaker could possibly
01:07:14.920 get.
01:07:15.940 But I won't spoil it.
01:07:17.880 Just Google that video and
01:07:20.240 you'll get a chuckle.
01:07:21.260 I, yeah, I kind of like
01:07:23.840 Diefenbaker in that he was
01:07:25.100 more boring than even
01:07:26.320 Scott Walker.
01:07:30.360 But, as it turns out, an
01:07:33.000 incredible advocate for
01:07:34.080 Canada's Indigenous
01:07:34.800 community.
01:07:35.560 So, there you go,
01:07:37.820 Conservatives.
01:07:39.320 We've got a Super U tip
01:07:40.980 from AMT60.
01:07:43.660 You gave us two bucks.
01:07:44.620 Thank you.
01:07:45.320 A Super U tip from Troy's.
01:07:47.520 You tipped us $20.
01:07:49.340 Well, thank you very much.
01:07:50.520 You know what?
01:07:51.440 Suck it, YouTube.
01:07:55.200 Our generous people over on
01:07:57.300 Super U are helping make up
01:07:58.820 that demonetization.
01:08:01.420 Troy S.
01:08:02.400 Wonder what Sheila and David's
01:08:03.700 thoughts are on the four
01:08:04.700 churches that burned down in
01:08:05.700 BC on reserves.
01:08:06.440 I think you just got them.
01:08:07.440 There's a fifth church,
01:08:08.280 actually, now.
01:08:09.300 And several vandalizations.
01:08:11.240 So, I'm furious about it.
01:08:14.240 I think that it is the erasing
01:08:19.220 of history.
01:08:19.760 And if people are outraged
01:08:21.680 because headstones were
01:08:22.780 removed at a residential
01:08:24.460 school cemetery to obscure
01:08:27.380 history, burning a church does
01:08:30.760 the same thing.
01:08:31.420 Exactly.
01:08:34.600 We've got a hyper chat from
01:08:35.920 Rosti.
01:08:36.880 Join me on Telegram.
01:08:37.880 Let's take back our country.
01:08:39.280 Link in the comments below.
01:08:41.220 We've got a hyper chat from
01:08:42.380 History Club World.
01:08:43.540 To fund my little suggestion,
01:08:44.740 you can make a documentary about
01:08:45.880 all rebels against COVID
01:08:47.140 restrictions.
01:08:48.440 Follow History Club World on
01:08:50.880 Instagram.
01:08:51.480 I think there's a documentary
01:08:52.640 just sitting there to be made
01:08:54.840 just on our Fight the Fines
01:08:56.160 cases.
01:08:56.760 Boy, we had some characters in
01:08:58.200 there.
01:08:58.580 And just some crazy stories.
01:09:00.560 Like, crazy.
01:09:01.420 I look back at them and I'm
01:09:02.340 like, this is insane.
01:09:04.080 Just, I can't even believe
01:09:05.040 that we lived through that
01:09:06.900 and that we continue to live
01:09:08.240 through it, I guess.
01:09:09.120 And, you know, what an
01:09:10.200 embarrassment of riches of
01:09:11.880 archival videos we have in
01:09:14.340 this last year and a half,
01:09:16.040 Sheila.
01:09:16.480 Mainly because, again, talk
01:09:18.980 about media self-censorship.
01:09:20.480 They rarely, almost never came
01:09:22.820 out to these anti-lockdown
01:09:24.160 protests.
01:09:25.180 And I'm sorry when there are,
01:09:27.000 in some cases, thousands
01:09:28.160 of people.
01:09:28.680 In Montreal, 100,000 people
01:09:30.480 gathering and marching
01:09:31.880 through the streets.
01:09:33.000 I don't care if you don't
01:09:34.460 like the message.
01:09:35.380 That's news.
01:09:36.640 You're obligated to get out
01:09:38.220 there and cover it.
01:09:39.560 But we have all that
01:09:41.340 footage.
01:09:41.940 And I think that's a good
01:09:43.120 suggestion.
01:09:43.820 That's a future documentary
01:09:45.560 in waiting.
01:09:47.500 Yes, I think we have a
01:09:48.440 documentary on the
01:09:49.220 persecution of Christians
01:09:50.200 during COVID, too.
01:09:52.360 So much of the footage we
01:09:55.000 have is exclusive.
01:09:55.920 So let's keep going.
01:09:58.980 Joyful art from the heart.
01:10:01.240 I'm flying a Canadian flag
01:10:02.840 on my porch on Canada Day.
01:10:04.440 God, keep our land glorious
01:10:05.640 and free.
01:10:07.080 Might I suggest you call it
01:10:08.940 Dominion Day so that you
01:10:10.460 don't offend David Menzies.
01:10:12.820 You know, it's unbelievable.
01:10:14.900 I've always been against the
01:10:16.780 term Canada Day and, you
01:10:18.420 know, with the idea of
01:10:19.200 replacing it, going back to
01:10:20.520 the historical name,
01:10:21.520 Dominion Day.
01:10:22.080 And lo and behold, I never
01:10:23.580 thought I'd see a day that
01:10:25.280 we have right now where you
01:10:26.500 have all municipalities right
01:10:28.380 across Canada, Sheila,
01:10:30.540 actually cancelling Canada Day
01:10:32.520 but not replacing it with
01:10:33.860 anything.
01:10:34.240 They're just cancelling it out
01:10:35.800 of wokeness.
01:10:37.200 And I think that's shameful.
01:10:39.620 Yeah, they sort of came
01:10:40.500 around to your way of
01:10:41.240 thinking, but they didn't
01:10:42.040 quite get all the way there.
01:10:43.280 Exactly.
01:10:43.600 A rumble chat from Frog Soup
01:10:49.100 says his parents brought him
01:10:50.740 here from the USSR in the
01:10:52.280 early 1990s.
01:10:53.340 They confirm it is exactly
01:10:54.540 what the Soviets did to
01:10:55.740 them.
01:10:56.400 Wow.
01:10:58.120 You know, I was reading up
01:10:58.940 the other day, because
01:11:00.500 someone tried to fact check
01:11:01.580 me when I said that Pope
01:11:04.020 John Paul II, Saint Pope
01:11:05.920 John Paul II, his mother was
01:11:07.520 actually an Eastern Rite
01:11:08.460 Catholic and that in some of
01:11:10.200 his speeches and comments,
01:11:12.960 that was one of the reasons
01:11:14.460 why he was so pro-Indigenous
01:11:17.660 but also pro-Eastern Rite
01:11:19.280 Church, is that if you have a
01:11:22.420 universal church, you want it
01:11:23.500 to be reflective of the
01:11:24.540 culture that it serves, right?
01:11:26.960 And someone tried to fact
01:11:28.500 check me on that.
01:11:29.140 I ended up on one heck of a
01:11:30.620 rabbit hole about just the
01:11:34.020 how first the czars and then
01:11:38.060 the Soviets, they really worked
01:11:39.820 to eliminate the Greek
01:11:43.460 Catholic Church in that realm
01:11:47.520 of the world, just to
01:11:49.300 Russianify it.
01:11:51.220 And there's some strong
01:11:52.540 overlays with what's happening
01:11:53.880 here, that there's only one
01:11:54.980 way, apparently, to worship God
01:11:56.580 and that's the way that Jason
01:11:57.620 Kenney says is acceptable on
01:11:59.640 Zoom or YouTube.
01:12:00.380 I lost my place.
01:12:04.440 I'm sorry.
01:12:04.720 Oh, Hyper Chat from Binga.
01:12:05.960 Sorry, Sheila.
01:12:06.880 Meant we all see what looks like
01:12:09.140 green fire on your shirt.
01:12:10.640 Shout out to Justin.
01:12:11.400 I think I explained it.
01:12:12.300 Justin, there you go.
01:12:15.380 We've got a Hyper Chat from
01:12:17.880 History Club World.
01:12:21.080 Do you think that Canada needs to
01:12:22.220 get a new constitution, one that
01:12:23.460 places stronger restrictions on
01:12:24.840 the government, strengthens rights
01:12:27.380 and personal freedoms?
01:12:28.920 Also, do you know if MLA Barnes
01:12:31.140 is up to anything since he got
01:12:32.800 kicked from caucus?
01:12:33.640 I've heard nothing.
01:12:34.380 You know what?
01:12:34.840 He's speaking out.
01:12:37.060 He has been speaking at some
01:12:40.140 rallies.
01:12:41.120 I think he's written some
01:12:42.000 articles for the Western
01:12:43.120 Standards since.
01:12:44.300 I mean, he's working very hard
01:12:45.320 from within the caucus, but
01:12:46.920 there's just basically two or
01:12:48.360 from outside the caucus, but
01:12:49.880 there's just really two MLAs who
01:12:52.440 are independent now because of
01:12:54.280 their opposition to the
01:12:55.820 lockdown.
01:12:56.400 So, I mean, he again, he's in
01:12:59.380 an uphill battle.
01:13:00.280 Oh, with regard to getting a new
01:13:01.960 constitution, we can't even get
01:13:03.100 the current one amended to
01:13:04.120 protect property rights.
01:13:05.520 So good point.
01:13:06.300 Oh, that'll never happen, Sheila.
01:13:08.840 So don't open up a big can of
01:13:10.380 worms like that.
01:13:11.080 I mean, the government was smart.
01:13:17.120 Sinister, smart.
