00:00:00.000 As we're at here for Rebel News, I am in our world headquarters in Toronto, Canada, but
00:00:19.000 we have reporters across the country, and for the past few days, we have had a reporter
00:00:24.740 in Israel at the Israel-Gaza border. One of our best journalists, Avi Yamini, based in
00:00:32.480 Melbourne, Australia, has flown to Israel along with cameraman Benji, and they have been
00:00:38.320 on the ground when they went to their first visit yesterday in the town of Sterot, which
00:00:44.960 is maybe one kilometer, half a mile from Gaza. They were there during a rocket attack. I want
00:00:52.420 to show you that one, and then just an hour ago, they were even closer, and a drone flew
00:01:03.260 overhead. A drone, a Hamas attack drone. Let's start with the Sterot video, and I want to show
00:01:12.160 you this because this is world-class, on-the-scene journalism. It's what Rebel News does best,
00:01:18.780 having cameras there, and one of our mottos is follow the facts wherever they lead, and
00:01:25.240 it's quite different than you'll get in the regime media, the mainstream media that won't
00:01:30.780 even use the word terrorist to describe Hamas. So without further ado, I want to show you the
00:01:35.920 first video. This is five minutes after Avi and Benji arrived at their first destination,
00:01:44.200 their first location. Take a look at this.
00:01:48.660 Avi and Benji for Rebel News in Sterot, southern Israel. We're at the site right now of a direct
00:01:56.000 hit minutes ago. Literally five minutes after arriving here in Sterot, we heard a loud explosion.
00:02:03.660 What's happened here today?
00:02:04.660 Today, what's happened yesterday? They continue to throw the missile, and three people injured
00:02:11.660 from the missile here, and we have 20 rockets that landed in the town. This is the reality
00:02:16.660 now because we're in a war.
00:02:18.120 As we drove into this city, a city that only days ago there were terrorists marching the
00:02:23.360 street and butchering anyone in their way, we suddenly heard explosions having to run for
00:02:29.400 our lives. I didn't hear a warning, and there certainly wasn't 15 seconds to get to shelter,
00:02:34.460 but it didn't hit us. It's about 500 meters from where we were, and unfortunately, there
00:02:40.560 are three victims, one in a critical condition. I was driving in as it happened, as the explosions.
00:02:46.940 I didn't hear any warning. What was that about?
00:02:49.400 I don't know. I think I hear a warning, and I run away. The problem is that everyone, even
00:02:56.400 everyone that stay here, every time that they hear something, they need to run, and run,
00:03:03.400 and go under the ground, or go to a bomb shelter to save their life.
00:03:08.560 I don't think there was time for me. When we heard the explosions, there was no time.
00:03:11.460 Avi, you're in this situation one day. I'm in this situation 20 years. I have seven kids.
00:03:18.040 Seven of my children don't know any reality, any other reality. So, Avi, what do you suggest
00:03:24.840 me to do the Hamas and the Jihad? If they will do it on your family, in your city, what we need to do?
00:03:31.840 We need to crush them. We need to kill them. They are barbaris. They are organists of evil.
00:03:36.840 They are animals. They killed innocent women and babies, cut their head. They are animals. They are the new ISIS of the world.
00:03:46.840 We need to destroy them. We need to kill them. The blood of one of the victims and the shrapnel on the wall
00:03:51.840 is evident of what these rockets are able to achieve. Three injured, at least one in a critical condition,
00:03:59.840 two in this car, and one up against that wall. This is the reality that they're living with every single day
00:04:05.840 across the country, but especially here in southern Israel.
00:04:09.840 Avi Mini for Rebel News in Sderot, Israel.
00:04:14.840 It's incredible to me that almost a week into this war, Hamas is still in a position to be sending
00:04:20.840 that many rockets that deadly. And of course, they are aimed not at a military base or not at soldiers.
00:04:26.840 They're aimed deliberately into civilian areas. It's a bit of a difference between the Hamas approach,
00:04:32.840 the Hamas approach targets civilians on purpose versus the Israeli approach,
00:04:36.840 which is retaliate with as much precision as possible to avoid civilians.
00:04:40.840 But because of this moral difference, Hamas hides their command centers,
00:04:44.840 hides their terrorists themselves amongst civilians.
00:04:47.840 They want their human shields to be killed because that's how they win this asymmetrical war.
00:04:53.840 If it were just a war of tanks versus tanks, aircraft versus aircraft,
00:04:57.840 Israel would be the undisputed champion.
00:05:02.840 But you saw the way they attacked last week.
00:05:04.840 It was almost like a scene out of Mad Max.
00:05:07.840 These little ultralight aircraft, motorcycles, they just...
00:05:12.840 It was go in, massacre as many civilians as possible,
00:05:16.840 kidnap as many back to Gaza, and then get out.
00:05:20.840 And what's Israel going to do with the F-35 Lightning?
00:05:23.840 Israel is one of the few countries in the world with the F-35 stealth fighter.
00:05:28.840 It's an amazing aircraft. I've seen it fly.
00:05:31.840 You don't really... How do you use that?
00:05:34.840 How do you use that when there's a terrorist who doesn't wear a uniform?
00:05:39.840 He's not in a military base. He's not in a tank.
00:05:41.840 He's certainly not in a major aircraft.
00:05:44.840 I mean, what would an F-35 even have done against those ultralights?
00:05:47.840 So that was Avi yesterday.
00:05:50.840 He was in another town today.
00:05:53.840 And he was with Benji, our videographer.
00:05:56.840 And they heard shooting.
00:05:59.840 And then they saw a drone overhead.
00:06:01.840 And it wasn't a little propeller drone that goes...
00:06:04.840 It was like an unmanned aerial vehicle, I think would be a better name for it.
00:06:08.840 Here's Avi on the ground today.
00:06:12.840 And watch the drone overhead.
00:06:15.840 Take a look at this.
00:06:17.840 Avi Mini for Rebel News in Beri, Israel.
00:06:20.840 Hundreds of meters from the site of the musical festival
00:06:24.840 in which Hamas hunted and slaughtered, kidnapped and raped partygoers.
00:06:30.840 Partygoers who were there to celebrate peace.
00:06:32.840 Now, at the moment here, things are really tense.
00:06:37.840 Even just standing at the checkpoint, conducting interviews,
00:06:41.840 there was overhead drones.
00:06:43.840 One firing about 150 meters from us.
00:06:46.840 We are the ones that are...
00:06:49.840 Slightly shaken from the explosion, we waited a few moments
00:06:53.840 until it seemed like the threat had passed and continued our interview
00:06:57.840 when suddenly shooting began.
00:07:00.840 And once...
00:07:02.840 Gunfire, gunfire, gunfire, gunfire.
00:07:04.840 It's some active launching.
00:07:06.840 Gunfire.
00:07:07.840 As we were trying to figure out what was happening ahead,
00:07:10.840 I noticed a drone above and bolted for the bomb shelter nearby.
00:07:18.840 There's a drone.
00:07:19.840 There's a drone.
00:07:23.840 I got it, I got it.
00:07:29.840 I got it.
00:07:30.840 I got it.
00:07:31.840 I got it.
00:07:32.840 You got it.
00:07:33.840 I got it.
00:07:34.840 I got it.
00:07:35.840 It's a drone.
00:07:36.840 I got it.
00:07:37.840 I got it.
00:07:38.840 I got it.
00:07:39.840 I got it.
00:07:40.840 I got it.
00:07:41.840 It's a drone.
00:07:42.840 Right now it's flying over us.
00:07:43.840 They're aiming.
00:07:44.840 They're coming back around.
00:07:45.840 They come back around.
00:07:47.840 Where is it?
00:07:48.840 Where is it?
00:07:49.840 There we go.
00:07:50.840 They're starting to shoot it.
00:07:51.840 It seems like they managed to shoot it down.
00:07:53.840 That's the first time we've been close enough from a shelter
00:07:55.840 to actually get in there in time but this is the situation here and it does not look like
00:08:02.720 it's settling down anytime soon. The drone attack today the rockets yesterday it all makes it feel
00:08:12.560 very real and with the looming IDF incursion into Gaza I worry that it's going to get much worse
00:08:19.140 so we've decided to urgently order body armor and helmets from America they arrive on Sunday
00:08:25.240 they're not cheap so if you're willing and able to help cover the costs to ensure our safety on the
00:08:31.800 ground here as we tell the truth from the front line here in Israel head over to the truth about
00:08:39.920 the war.com you can see all our stories that we file there and you can also chip in to help cover
00:08:44.920 the cost the truth about the war.com you know keeping Avi safe is important to me we were unable
00:08:54.060 to source bulletproof vests in Canada or in Australia in short order in fact my understanding
00:09:00.620 is it is actually against the law to to wear those things without a permit I'm not well versed in it
00:09:07.900 but I've I've been told that and I and I think it's the fact and by the way it's hard to get those in
00:09:14.660 Israel right now you can imagine there's there's a backlog of people who want them but it sounds like
00:09:21.160 we have been able to source some body armor from the United States and hopefully the lads will get
00:09:27.460 those this weekend it makes me a bit nervous when when a lot of people around Avi are wearing body
00:09:33.480 armor and and he's not and you saw our cameraman Benji I've been to Sterot which is one of those towns
00:09:40.500 right near Gaza and because it's so close there's so little time to get into any hardened place and
00:09:52.740 literally every block is a usually a dual purpose bomb shelter like for example all the bus stops are
00:10:03.620 partial bomb shelters because when you have 10 seconds you've got to go somewhere and I'm not sure
00:10:13.820 if you can see it there but it's it's actually such a bizarre way to live it's it's like you were on the
00:10:21.980 moon or on Mars or something in every you know 50 feet you would need some place in case you lost your
00:10:29.080 oxygen I'm just trying to think of some bizarre artificial way to live that's what Sterot is like
00:10:35.440 I mean talk about a PSD and PST post from PTSD generating place to live just absolutely terrifying
00:10:44.540 that the mayor of Sterot who was talking to Avi there says he's been there 20 years to raise seven
00:10:51.060 kids there I can only imagine the psychological uh challenge of living with rockets and the fear of
00:11:00.720 rockets and then the worst fear of all knowing that it finally happened the terrorists broke through and
00:11:07.000 just walked through the streets massacring people so Avi is on the ground over there and um he will
00:11:14.340 continue to do his work the body armor is arriving shortly and we do want him to be careful of course
00:11:19.540 there's no story worth dying or getting wounded over but there really is no truly safe place in the
00:11:28.360 country rockets have landed in Tel Aviv rockets have landed in Jerusalem obviously it's a lot riskier
00:11:35.740 right near the border what's interesting to me is that the United States is sending one and maybe two
00:11:42.680 aircraft carriers into the region and I see that the United Kingdom is sending at least two capital
00:11:49.400 ships as well one of them is a casualty ship like a hospital ship and um I can't remember what the
00:11:59.520 other one is but America is sending two uh has one aircraft carrier now yeah yeah put that on the
00:12:04.600 screen the UK to deploy Royal Navy to Middle East to bolster security and just scroll down a bit
00:12:11.960 yeah that one looks like a a hospital ship I think that's what that is let me read a little bit
00:12:17.220 the UK will send two Royal Navy ships and surveillance aircraft to the eastern Mediterranean
00:12:21.760 and a plan to bolster security number 10 says number 10 is their version of the White House or 24 Sussex
00:12:27.860 it comes after six days of violence following the surprise attack on Israel by Hamas the aircraft will
00:12:34.580 begin patrols on Friday to track threats to regional stability such as the transfer of weapons to terrorist
00:12:41.540 groups three Merlin helicopters and Royal Marines are also being dispatched the government is also
00:12:47.220 arranging flights for British nationals so the Brits are sending some ships but can you call up the
00:12:52.740 American ships I mean those are you know tracking terrorist shipments and uh having a few helicopters
00:12:59.780 and some Marines that's that's good but that's not going to deter Iran that's not going to be a major
00:13:06.420 that's not going to tamp things down um I think a U.S. aircraft carrier is in a a whole different
00:13:15.540 league here's uh CBS news's coverage the U.S. sends aircraft carrier group to eastern Mediterranean in
00:13:21.940 response to Hamas attack on Israel scroll down just a little bit I'll read a bit of the story
00:13:27.300 U.S. defense secretary Lloyd Austin announced Sunday so this is actually a few days ago
00:13:32.100 that he's ordered U.S. military ships including an aircraft carrier and additional aircraft
00:13:37.620 to move closer to the eastern Mediterranean in response to Hamas's unprecedented multi-fronted
00:13:42.660 attack on Israel at least nine U.S. citizens were among more than the 700 people killed we
00:13:47.380 know that the death toll is now around a thousand I'll skip down about the USS Gerald R. Ford
00:13:53.460 carrier strike group includes that aircraft carrier the largest warship in the world and the
00:13:59.540 Ticonderoga class guided missile cruiser USS Normandy and four Arleigh Burke class guided
00:14:05.940 missile destroyers so that is an awful lot of firepower um but there's I I say the same thing
00:14:16.900 I said a moment ago about how do you attack terrorists with F-35 you can have the most awesome
00:14:23.060 war planes and warships in the world but you know the Geneva Conventions on war uh to be
00:14:32.260 treated as a prisoner of war you have to follow the laws of war it what's the difference between a
00:14:37.860 soldier and a terrorist one what is the difference it's not just a matter of opinion there are three
00:14:43.700 legal requirements to be treated as a soldier and thus when you're captured to be given prisoner of war
00:14:49.460 status under the Geneva Conventions and going from memory those three are number one you
00:14:55.380 are identified you wear a uniform you carry your weapons openly you're not sneaking around like a
00:15:01.060 terrorist or a spy so number one you wear a uniform you carry weapons openly um that is obviously not
00:15:08.340 the case with these terrorists number two you're part of a formal military chain of command
00:15:14.740 that may be true here and number three you generally follow the laws of war so you don't rape you don't
00:15:22.740 murder you don't kill babies you don't go after civilians so uh Hamas fails two out of the three tests
00:15:30.580 for being soldiers they are terrorists and they are designated as such by the Canadian government and many
00:15:37.860 other governments um the fact that they are terrorists means they are not entitled to the
00:15:43.780 Geneva Conventions for prisoners of war um i think that's being upheld by the u.s supreme court which
00:15:50.420 dealt with the legality of Guantanamo Bay on two occasions um they said it was legal is the short answer
00:15:59.140 but in fact terrorists are not even entitled to prisoner of war status for the reason i just outlined
00:16:05.540 so that's the legal issue but how about it in practical terms like what is the uss gerald r ford
00:16:13.140 going to do against Hamas i think the answer is nothing maybe it'll make sure that iran or turkey don't get
00:16:24.900 any big ideas but i mean i don't think either would use their formal military to attack israel
00:16:32.500 that's the whole point here they're using their terrorist proxies hamas in gaza and hezbollah in
00:16:37.620 the north i mean to have deter regional instability okay i get it but but what does that mean it's a
00:16:45.300 show of force but the the uss and there there's the image of it right now it's quite impressive that's a
00:16:51.940 lot of hardware um they're not going to be attacking gaza how do what you see here that that looks like a
00:17:01.860 ground base f-15 um that's a that's you know those and that i think was an f-22 those are american jets
00:17:09.700 but what are they going to do how do that how does that stop someone in a little paraglider or how does
00:17:18.420 that stop the rockets launched from schools and hospitals you might find it hard to believe but the
00:17:27.060 largest hospital in gaza the al-shifa hospital a-l dash s-h-i-f-a
00:17:36.740 is also the hamas command post they put their terrorist command post
00:17:43.780 in a hospital why do you think they did that
00:17:48.980 so that if anyone tries to attack the terrorist command post they wind up killing civilians
00:17:54.980 because they know israel and the west care about that and they know that would be wonderful pr
00:18:01.300 and so you can have two aircraft carrier groups you can have three you can have every aircraft
00:18:07.140 carrier in the world what are you going to do you're going to attack yeah go ahead and put up one of
00:18:10.980 these stories um that's the al jazeera one which would be downplaying the connection google al-shifa
00:18:18.180 and and then hamas i want to show i'll just by the way and i want to show in a minute anthony blinken who
00:18:26.740 was in qatar meeting with the dictator there and thanking him um you know qatar is is where the supreme
00:18:38.180 leaders of hamas live they're not in the slums of hamas
00:18:43.860 i don't you know what if you can't find that al-shifa thing don't worry about it but it's uh
00:18:50.980 i mean associated press isn't isn't going to emphasize that associated press reuters um al jazeera
00:18:58.500 they're not going to mention that hamas has a command post in the al-shifa hospital yeah there you go
00:19:05.060 yeah that'll do sources and hararetz is a far left-wing pro-palestinian newspaper by the way
00:19:13.860 sources hamas leaders hiding in basement of israel-built hospital in gaza sheen bet chief
00:19:20.180 says militants hiding in shifa hospital because they know it will not be targeted by israel
00:19:26.020 and and again israel built this hospital when they were in gaza as you may know israel pulled out of gaza
00:19:34.260 in 2005 israel does not occupy gaza but rather than turning gaza into a modern democratic peaceful
00:19:44.740 prosperous city like i don't know like dubai it's been turned into a militarized terrorist base camp
00:19:53.700 senior officials in gaza are hiding out in a bunker built by israel intelligence officials suspect many
00:20:00.580 are believed to be in the basements of the shifa hospital complex in gaza city which was refurbished
00:20:04.900 during israel's occupation of the gaza strip shifa the coastal strip's largest hospital was built while
00:20:10.660 gaza was under egyptian rule before 1967 during the mid-1980s the building underwent massive
00:20:17.460 refurbishment as part of a showcase project to improve the living conditions of residents
00:20:22.580 millions were invested in the project which was overseen by shmuel goran the coordinator for
00:20:26.900 activities in the territories at the time so israel poured millions of its tax dollars into building
00:20:33.380 this modern hospital and um it's been turned into a base for hamas so there you have it so any i want
00:20:42.020 to mention that anthony blinken anthony blinken the u.s secretary of state under joe biden he went to
00:20:48.100 qatar he went to the capital of qatar doha and he met with the dictator there
00:20:53.140 um and um can you go to blinken's latest uh yeah just go to yeah click on his name there and scroll
00:21:02.180 down a bit they show him meeting uh yeah there we go met with qatar's prime minister and minister of
00:21:09.700 foreign affairs about the terrorist attacks in israel and worked to prevent the conflict from spreading
00:21:16.660 okay and then scroll down a bit because i think he had a couple others there um scroll down there we
00:21:23.620 go spoke spoke with qatar's emir today that's like their little king about the terrorist attacks in
00:21:30.980 israel and the ongoing conflict with hamas and then here's just a line that i just can't even believe
00:21:36.820 i'm reading i expressed appreciation for qatar's efforts to secure the return of hostages
00:21:48.340 now you know that hamas is based in qatar funded by qatar their leadership lives in qatar when they
00:22:00.100 do videos they sit in front of a green screen of jerusalem so it looks like they're in the zone
00:22:06.180 they are living in five-star villas in qatar
00:22:12.740 the favored pampered honored guests of that emir the dictator of qatar hosts
00:22:24.020 the terrorists of hamas they were just down the street and joe biden's secretary of state
00:22:31.060 goes to qatar and expresses appreciation to them for all their help yeah put that put that image up
00:22:41.540 so here's um i forget there's this guy's name halib mashal i can't remember all my terrorists but you
00:22:48.100 you see it looks like he's in the region that's uh a shot of jerusalem he's not in ramallah he's not
00:22:55.860 in jerusalem he's not in gaza that is a green screen he is in a luxury villa in doha qatar
00:23:04.100 this is when he was calling for the day of rage and anthony blinken goes to qatar and says hey man you
00:23:11.540 guys are really great i really appreciate your help um we all care about this war and here he is meeting
00:23:18.820 with the the head of the uh the palestinian authority had the opportunity to meet with palestinian
00:23:26.180 authority president abbas to discuss the abhorrent terrorist attacks by hamas against israel i detailed
00:23:34.180 u.s efforts to coordinate with partners to prevent the conflict from widening did you ask him to stop
00:23:41.300 his terrorism did you ask anything you gave appreciation to the dictator of qatar
00:23:49.620 and you just talked with the dictator of the plo um
00:23:58.100 did you ask for anything what would donald trump have done
00:24:03.700 we don't know what donald trump would have done but we can guess because he for four years conducted
00:24:07.940 foreign policy including in that part of the world i think i know what he would have done it's just a
00:24:11.940 guess you tell me i think he would have gone to qatar or probably phoned them and he would have said
00:24:22.180 hand over those terrorist leaders
00:24:26.260 in the next 24 hours he'd probably say hand them over now i have special forces
00:24:30.900 ready to take them hand them over now period not or else he would have he wouldn't have had to add
00:24:38.340 the or else he would have said hand them over now uh let me know if you have any problems with that
00:24:47.540 and i think he would have done so in a in a terrifying manner he wouldn't have even had to say
00:24:53.220 or else because the thing about trump is i mean i remember i think one of the most important moments
00:24:58.900 in donald trump's foreign policy and i don't know if you can find this it it was there's a picture
00:25:05.540 of it he's sitting at mar-a-lago his mansion in florida he's having dinner with xi jinping
00:25:14.740 the chinese dictator so they're at his clubhouse really and yeah yeah show that that's it that's
00:25:21.700 it that's the one there it's exactly it that picture right there look at that so they're sitting
00:25:27.860 there in in mar-a-lago and um yeah i just want that picture of them
00:25:37.380 and and they're having a bit of a boozy dinner and it's super fun and they're relaxed
00:25:46.900 yeah that's the one there perfect
00:25:48.420 you see how schmoozy that is and while they're sitting there while they're talking
00:26:01.140 when dessert comes and i understand it was ice cream two scoops
00:26:08.020 when dessert was coming trump fired a whack of tomahawk cruise missiles at syria
00:26:15.380 yeah show that image too just just push the button and he had it timed for dessert
00:26:23.140 he's talking to xi jinping cool as a cucumber they're telling jokes he's probably talking about
00:26:31.540 he's probably telling some tall tales and some big stories and over dessert
00:26:38.340 he fires a bunch of tomahawk missiles at bashar assad in syria just casually just like he's ordering
00:26:45.780 you know would you like an after dinner drink would you like a cappuccino would you like maybe a glass of
00:26:50.660 port maybe a cigar oh by the way fire a bunch of cruise missiles at assad the casual way in which
00:26:58.660 he did it like it's no big deal like he does it all the time he's not in the command bunker this is
00:27:03.300 so cash for him it must have been shocking to xi jinping and he must have had an aide rush up to him
00:27:12.340 and whisper something in chinese in his ear by the way uh president trump has just fired these missiles
00:27:17.060 like it was it was the the effect of that and so i think every leader in the world knew one thing
00:27:26.660 about donald trump
00:27:30.420 he was unpredictable and he would smash things he didn't like for example um he had i think like the
00:27:39.060 number two general um of of iran taken out with with a special forces that was his name sulamani
00:27:49.540 did i remember his right his name correctly i i forget what iran did uh but i think it involved
00:27:57.780 the death of an american qasem sulamani there it is yeah put that on the screen u.s strike
00:28:03.940 in iraq kills qasem sulamani commander of iranian forces sulamani was planning attacks on americans
00:28:13.780 across the region leading to an airstrike in baghdad the pentagon statement said iran's supreme leader
00:28:19.540 called for vengeance yeah he called for vengeance but he didn't really act on it did he if you can take
00:28:26.180 out literally the boss that would be like taking out general milley in the united states that would
00:28:33.700 when you take out the top guy with an attack yeah there there he is he was the mastermind
00:28:46.420 when you take him out you're sending a message that you're not going to just mess around by blowing
00:28:52.660 up some cannon fodder troops you're not going to blow up some arms depot or just you're not just
00:28:59.780 going to detonate some apartment you are going to take out the big boss and maybe the ayatollahs are next
00:29:08.020 and so iran gnashed their teeth but they didn't do a damn thing that was trump do you think that those
00:29:16.580 pipsqueak or opec dictators of qatar if trump said oh by the way you will hand over hamas's commanders
00:29:26.660 to me today our special forces are waiting please take us to them they wouldn't have to be in or else
00:29:34.980 because everyone would know the or else or else will sulamani you or else will tomahawk cruise missile you
00:29:42.740 and so it's you know i think it was uh roosevelt who said walk softly and carry a big stick
00:29:50.580 but trump walked noisily and carried a big stick but because of that he very rarely had to use it
00:29:58.420 the four years of donald trump's presidency were some of the most peaceful years in american history
00:30:04.100 russia didn't try russia tried something before trump invaded georgia invaded ukraine
00:30:09.140 russia did not try that when trump was president under biden russia invaded ukraine china became
00:30:15.700 bellicose you think that bullet do you think for a second that china would have sent that spy balloon over
00:30:22.180 america if trump were president like seriously can you flipping imagine what trump would have done it would
00:30:30.340 have been creative it would have been shocking and trump would have announced it
00:30:34.900 with a comedic flourish hey can you call up go on youtube please or or or i don't know if it's
00:30:42.980 on rumble but maybe youtube's a faster way to find it trump al baghdaddy so when when they got
00:30:53.220 the bad dude from isis his name was baghdaddy listening to trump announce
00:30:59.460 the assassination of the head of isis great special forces operation absolutely went for the top guy
00:31:09.300 instead of saying oh hi emir of qatar we really appreciate your help we're not going to ask you
00:31:15.060 to do anything we're not going to ask you to stop funding terrorism we're certainly not going to ask
00:31:18.660 you to hand over the terrorists we're here to say how much we appreciate you i just want you to listen
00:31:23.300 for a minute about how trump like he just killed the top isis guy and the way he announces it i don't
00:31:29.620 think he meant to be funny but frankly his humorous and entertaining style would make it all the more
00:31:35.940 terrifying for a bad guy because they're thinking this guy's a madman here just play a little bit of
00:31:41.780 this it's been a while since i've heard it but i i recall like the way he talked about it it was like
00:31:47.620 he was on the apprentice or something play the play the clip he died like a dog he died like a coward
00:31:54.420 he was whimpering screaming and crying and frankly i think it's something that should be brought out
00:32:01.140 so that his followers and all of these young kids that want to leave various countries including the
00:32:07.300 united states they should see how he died he didn't die a hero he died a coward crying whimpering screaming
00:32:15.700 and bringing three kids with him to die certain death and he knew the tunnel had
00:32:23.620 no end i mean it was a uh it was a closed closed end they call it a closed end tunnel
00:32:29.780 not a good place to be so this was going on before you made the announcement that you're
00:32:35.300 i've been looking for him for three years i've been looking for him i started getting some very positive
00:32:41.060 feedback about a month ago and we had some incredible intelligence officials that did a great
00:32:47.060 job that's what they should be focused on
00:32:51.780 he died like a dog he died whimpering people should see it maybe it's it's actually now that
00:32:58.340 i listen to it again it's not quite as amusing or entertaining but it's quite non-standard wouldn't
00:33:03.540 you say that's not normally how people talk about a million and and by the way he talked about the
00:33:08.820 three kids that died with him yeah there wasn't all oh my god there might be a civilian casualty if we
00:33:14.500 take out the leader of isis but did you hear what he said he said i've been hunting him for three years
00:33:23.220 he died like a dog he said that right he died like a dog whimpering people should see it
00:33:28.980 so he took out a top terrorist but really that video announcement was just as important wasn't it
00:33:40.340 because how many terrorists saw that and saw and thought
00:33:45.620 i could be next maybe i'm not going to target americans now
00:33:53.060 compare that to anthony blinken meeting with the head of qatar and saying hey guys i know
00:33:58.740 you're funding hamas i know you're harboring them but we just really really appreciate you
00:34:04.020 and thanks so much for being a go-between here and negotiating we really we appreciate you okay
00:34:11.220 we're going to go now
00:34:14.740 one you know if uh machiavelli was asked which is better to be feared or to be loved
00:34:20.820 and um in that part of the world it's the strong horse as osama bin laden would say
00:34:30.020 and donald trump was the strong horse i remember the new york times said a story google new york times
00:34:36.020 donald the strong nytimes.com and then donald the strong you know the chinese give nicknames
00:34:43.700 trump's a real nicknamer isn't he
00:34:49.380 yeah that's the one there uh uncle trump that's that's the story there so when trump went to china
00:34:55.220 was like trump really targeted china rhetorically didn't he and how did china take that did they
00:35:03.380 disrespect him did they sneer at him no they actually treated him with more respect because
00:35:13.460 he was so tough with them this is an interesting story i haven't read it in a while uh you can see
00:35:18.660 the headline uncle trump finds fans in china uncle trump that's a that's a um i wouldn't know i don't
00:35:28.260 know term of endearment is the phrase yeah let me read let me read the first paragraph there so this
00:35:32.900 is from 2017 this is his first year as president let me read a bit i remember this i haven't read this
00:35:38.900 in a while but i just remember this article because in the new york times hate hated trump from the
00:35:43.300 beginning they hate him today but they they called it like they saw it here beijing they call him
00:35:50.980 donald the strong they heap praise on his family they fawn over his rapid-fire tweets they have even
00:35:58.980 created an online fan club in america president trump faces a feisty press corps damaging investigations
00:36:04.580 into associates and sagging approval ratings but in china where mr trump arrived wednesday he has acquired
00:36:10.260 a legion of admirers who hail him as a straight talking politician and business mogul with a knack for
00:36:14.580 deal making and they go on they refer to him as donald sorry scroll down as uncle trump grand
00:36:24.980 commander and donald the strong after minister trump's visit to the forbidden city on wednesday
00:36:30.660 with president xi jinping one fan wrote on social media long live emperor trump
00:36:37.140 mr trump's chinese fans praise his irrepressible style his skill as an entertainer and his willingness
00:36:41.700 to say what he thinks many also like the fact that he seems less inhibited than previous american
00:36:45.620 presidents about recognizing china as a superpower and as an equal on the global stage okay thanks very
00:36:49.940 much my point is would i mean you you wouldn't say uncle biden you would say grandpa biden but not in a
00:37:00.980 good way would you ever say biden the strong would you ever say grand commander you wouldn't say it
00:37:09.220 because you wouldn't believe it the whole thing about nicknames is that they have to have a ring of
00:37:16.660 truth to them that's why trump is so devastating with the nicknames he gives people you know sometimes
00:37:22.900 they're really weird nicknames but they stick like low energy jeb remember when jeb bush ran against trump
00:37:31.380 and trump called him low energy jeb that's such such a that's not even a nickname no one would say that
00:37:38.260 but trump did and it stuck and it just totally nailed his essence donald the strong uncle donald
00:37:45.140 grand commander yes yes yes look at antony blinken going to the same places
00:37:52.100 and being absolute absolutely weak
00:38:00.260 hey let me show you what's going on in canada so we talked about what's going on you know before we

00:40:53.060 hey welcome back i just heard in that short commercial break that our bc correspondent
00:40:59.140 drea humphrey was at a pierre paliev event and put a couple of questions to him about hamas so we
00:41:05.940 should have that video in about 10 minutes for you i look forward to playing that i haven't seen myself
00:41:11.220 i heard it just happened so we'll look forward to that um we care about foreign affairs because we're
00:41:18.580 interested in the world as john dunn said no man is an island um we are connected to the main
00:41:25.060 that's a wonderful poem do you know what um and it's very true about all things but it's also true
00:41:34.580 that charity starts at home and we shouldn't care more about far away places than we do about our own
00:41:42.340 place it's true i think one of the reasons people like talking about foreign affairs is it's actually
00:41:49.540 sort of uh it's unreal in a way you can have all sorts of opinions about someone else's place
00:41:56.420 on the other side of the world because you'll never have to be accountable for your ideas it's it's like
00:42:00.660 a an abstraction it's like a hypothetical
00:42:07.620 but what goes on in our own neighborhoods is obviously vastly more important
00:42:10.820 i think that's one of the common sense rationales for canada first america first any country first
00:42:19.940 policy um you can care about things on the other side of the world but you must care about your home
00:42:25.380 more and i think one of the most unnerving things about the terrorist war in israel
00:42:32.580 is that it is reverberating here in canada because we have tens of thousands maybe hundreds of thousands
00:42:43.620 of anti-semitic pro-hamas militants is probably the wrong word activists people who are cheering the
00:42:56.020 torture the rape the murder people who are using words like intifada which means pogrom or riot
00:43:03.060 who use the chant from the river to the sea which means to drive out every jew extirpate and exterminate
00:43:10.420 every jew from israel some of them go so far as to say things like gas the jews like they're just
00:43:18.020 going full nazi and so i think my bigger worries about this war aren't just that i hate terrorism and i
00:43:28.100 support israel the only democracy in the region and that i am appalled by the brutality we've seen
00:43:37.300 look look here thousands of people at the sydney opera house they're shooting flares at it by the way
00:43:45.460 they're chanting attack they're chanting gas the jews ala akbar they're chanting these things
00:43:55.860 fuck the jews
00:44:00.820 i don't they're burning flares
00:44:03.940 palisinian flag the lebanese flag i don't recognize all those flags
00:44:07.620 i understand there was a hamas terrorist flag as well when you say fuck the jews you're not
00:44:14.820 talking about israel because there's jews in sydney there's jews in toronto there's jews
00:44:19.220 around the west and you're showing the true nature of these groups are not actually about
00:44:27.460 palestine or about the gaza strip as i mentioned before israel withdrew every last soldier every last
00:44:38.100 citizen they even dug up the jewish graves in gaza and moved them to israel proper
00:44:47.780 18 years ago 18 years ago israel left the gaza strip it has not been occupied
00:44:57.860 and yet hamas continues to attack israel from there it's not about ending the occupation it's
00:45:05.220 about killing every jew
00:45:08.580 and they say that they you saw what they were saying death to the jews when they're rioting
00:45:14.660 when they're in san diego i don't know if you're able to call up san diego and and china let's do that
00:45:20.660 for a second that hamas terrorists in qatar while antony blinken was saying we really appreciate you
00:45:29.060 guys he was recording a video saying all around the world we want a day of rage
00:45:34.260 and um hamas supporters around the world listened
00:45:45.300 san diego wonderful city couldn't be further away from israel like it's so far away
00:45:51.940 in every it's a far away geographically it's far away politically it's far away
00:45:55.860 the way temperamentally like san diego and hamas couldn't be more different
00:46:03.940 and uh they just saw some israeli on the street and and they beat him up just throw that throw that
00:46:10.820 video on the screen
00:46:14.340 pro-palestinian protesters beat an israeli protester in san diego they just swarm them
00:46:19.220 do you think that if they could do you doubt that they would kill him
00:46:29.140 maybe cut his head off if it was a woman do you doubt they would rape her
00:46:35.380 i mean they have said these things and they're out celebrating others who have done these things
00:46:41.860 why would you not believe them
00:46:46.420 here's another image of that look at that
00:46:57.700 um that's in san diego which should concern us a lot
00:47:03.540 but even in china there was an israeli diplomat and he was just stabbed on the street
00:47:11.940 and it was captured with a camera overhead you can see that there just stabbed
00:47:20.900 just attacked with a knife
00:47:32.180 you know i saw a tweet today and it was pretty simple it said you know what three countries don't
00:47:37.060 have to worry about this day of rage
00:47:41.300 hungary poland and japan
00:47:45.060 hungary and poland are near each other
00:47:49.220 japan is not but what do they have in common
00:47:52.820 they do not have mass immigration of people with different ideologies and world views they just don't
00:48:00.340 i think i told you yesterday i was in hungary this summer and i went to an enormous synagogue
00:48:13.060 door was open there's no cop there there's no metal detector
00:48:16.900 uh and i said to a jewish uh teenager i said what's it like and the words he said were it's easy to be jewish in hungary
00:48:26.820 um
00:48:31.620 in fact i think the world jewish congress had their convention in budapest and said the two best cities
00:48:39.060 to be um jewish in in europe are rome and budapest
00:48:45.140 certainly not paris
00:48:50.900 oh and there was a stabbing in paris today i forgot to mention
00:48:57.540 yeah put that on the screen teacher killed in france school
00:49:04.420 stabbing this is the bbc so let's see how they describe it
00:49:09.860 police say the situation is now under control oh that's good
00:49:12.660 a teacher has been killed and two people seriously injured in a knife attack at a school in france
00:49:20.100 the attack happened at gambetta high school in the northern city of arras at about 11 local time
00:49:26.500 the attacker has been arrested and is now in custody
00:49:30.180 witnesses say he shouted alahu akbar or god is greatest during the attack
00:49:36.580 visiting the school president macron condemned the barbarity of islamist terrorism
00:49:42.660 um well i'm shocked that they even reported that ala akbar part or use the word
00:49:49.540 islamist terrorism but again they're quoting other people that's the rule of thumb that bbc cbc and others
00:49:55.380 have they simply will not say the word terrorist unless they sort of have to because they're quoting a
00:50:01.300 newsmaker but they will not say it themselves
00:50:04.100 oh you know what ctv did something can you find my tweet on that
00:50:11.140 ctv they're just liars they're so weird they had they covered the story and and uh
00:50:21.460 and they said something like this is very rare what france has more terrorist attacks uh islamic
00:50:30.820 terrorist attacks than any other country in europe it is very difficult to be jewish there when i was
00:50:36.820 in paris a few years ago um i went to a jewish grocery store and there was there were paramilitary
00:50:49.220 cops outside with with like submachine guns like m i don't know m16 or something
00:50:54.740 like you you have to live under armed guard if you're a jew they're here you put that on the
00:51:00.660 screen for a second so ctv said french media scroll up so they can see the whole tweet french media say
00:51:07.300 a teacher was killed and others injured in a rare school stabbing no mention of of hamas no mention of
00:51:16.660 the day of rage no mention of ala akbar but they say it's a rare school stabbing this is just a school
00:51:22.500 stabbing it's very rare and scroll up here's my response i say ctv just will not stop lying a rare
00:51:28.500 attack and then i quote sort of a compendium of terrorist attacks with at least 82 islamist
00:51:34.980 attacks and 332 deaths france remains the country most affected by islamic terrorism within the eu
00:51:41.780 why does ctv keep lying and why are all their lives pro hamas it's so weird oh can you also you know
00:51:48.740 global news had a story also that was similar it was so weird like why why are they doing this why
00:51:58.580 not just why not just report global not the global had um a headline and i've seen day of jihad and i've
00:52:08.660 seen day of rage global news called it day of action and i read the entire story that they linked to
00:52:22.260 it wasn't called day of action and i and i re-watched the original
00:52:28.500 uh statement by the hamas terrorist announcing it he didn't say day of action
00:52:34.980 um global news um global news literally changed day of yeah that's it right there that's it right
00:52:44.980 there so scroll down and show what they said they said a vancouver area jewish organization is raising
00:52:55.300 safety concerns amid reports hamas has called for a day of day of action
00:53:02.900 on friday it may be escalating conflict in israel and palestine day of action oh i see now that
00:53:10.740 they've got a reader's community notes under that former hamas leader
00:53:14.740 halib michal called for a day of jihad so scroll up a bit here's what i said that that note wasn't
00:53:21.060 on there when i i said you anti-semitic liars hamas call for a day of rage but you changed that calling
00:53:26.660 a day of action you refused to call hamas a terrorist group and you literally changed their words to
00:53:30.740 lie to your viewers izzy asper would despise what his network has become i had the pleasure of
00:53:35.540 meeting izzy asper before he passed away he was a very liberal guy very friend to all jewish guy as
00:53:41.860 the name implies he built global news from scratch and here it is defending hamas i i wish izzy were
00:53:50.340 around because he would be just firing on all pistons but i'm also sort of glad that he didn't live to
00:53:55.860 see this absolute disgrace and and by the way that wasn't a typo that was an editorial decision
00:54:04.020 just like it's an editorial decision not to say terrorists unbelievable
00:54:11.700 i want to show you though what scares me what scares me i'm a little bit scared by hamas terrorists but
00:54:19.860 i'm much more scared by terrorist sympathizers here like you saw in san diego who
00:54:31.860 absolutely support what hamas is doing here's a clip from an edmonton high school
00:54:38.660 kids just going out and showing you know some kids go and cheer for their sports team but these kids at
00:54:45.620 uh high school in edmonton go cheer for murder rape and torture just take a look
00:54:59.620 yeah imagine being a jewish kid at that school
00:55:19.460 if you have mass you know i once heard the same
00:55:23.860 mass immigration
00:55:24.900 democracy
00:55:29.860 liberalism
00:55:32.260 choose any two
00:55:35.700 and i sort of turned that puzzle around in my mind for a bit i think of singapore
00:55:41.220 they don't have mass immigration but they have it's very multiracial but very multicultural
00:55:47.860 um and they are fairly liberal they have it's a benign dictatorship but it's not a democracy
00:55:52.340 dubai i just came back from dubai
00:55:57.300 multi-racial
00:55:59.860 fairly liberal probably the most liberal place in the muslim world but not a democracy
00:56:05.540 because if you
00:56:08.260 allow people to come to the country who do not believe in liberal values who do not believe in the
00:56:14.580 equality of men and women who do not believe in religious pluralism who do not believe in the
00:56:20.180 separation of mosque and state and who believe that violence is a way to solve a problem
00:56:25.700 if you bring people in and do not vet for those values
00:56:30.420 and you bring in a thousand and then ten thousand and a hundred thousand and a million
00:56:34.340 and even if most would not rally although there's obviously an enormous amount of peer pressure to do so
00:56:43.140 you will have a critical mass
00:56:45.860 and we saw in toronto and in other cities
00:56:49.700 people chanting support for terrorists and what are you going to do now
00:56:56.500 in the cities with large pro-hamas populations the mayors and the mps are too cowardly to say anything
00:57:04.420 that's what i'm worried about
00:57:11.380 i uh here in toronto i went to a jewish school 20 minutes away from our office
00:57:17.860 where three i think they were teenagers came by and started threatening the jews they were arrested
00:57:26.100 they weren't senior hamas operatives they were just young
00:57:29.940 muslim men who walked by a jewish school identify some jews and actually i understand they threw a
00:57:36.660 rock through a car window that's what i heard later
00:57:41.620 so it's one thing to try and protect yeah here's but just throw this on the screen let's throw some
00:57:47.300 sound up put some sound up we won't play this whole thing but here's my report from yesterday go
00:57:53.220 ahead and put the sound up against kids jewish kids from this school here's how the head of school
00:57:59.300 jonathan levy described it at a impromptu press conference a few moments ago unfortunately there
00:58:05.380 was an incident that took place near our campus today what happened was that a number of individuals
00:58:11.860 targeted some of our students with threats there were no violence there was no violence there were
00:58:17.620 no injuries thankfully but uttering threats is of course illegal and a problem so what's happened to
00:58:24.100 these people plan what did you do so our security uh responded called 911 police responded very quickly
00:58:32.100 and um for our procedure they called 911 police have arrived quickly for which we are very grateful and
00:58:38.580 an investigation is now underway um with possible charges pending the police were here and everyone's
00:58:46.580 on heightened alert we spoke to a couple of kids now it's our practice not to interview minors
00:58:52.260 so we've blurred their faces and we're not using their names i thought they were spot on asking why
00:58:58.660 would jews in toronto be targeted for a geopolitical quarrel around the world i think the answer is obvious
00:59:08.020 because it's not just a geopolitical quarrel hamas hates jews full stop it's not just against israel or
00:59:14.500 for gaza or whatever they simply are the new nazis that's my answer but here's how the kids put it
00:59:21.140 sure it's i i just think personally it's it's horrible what's going on and i just don't
00:59:25.940 understand how you can do this stuff to a high school like let alone like the whole israelian
00:59:32.420 palestinian conflict conflict is its own thing and this is just isn't part of that this is just pure
00:59:37.700 terrorism and i just think it's horrible what's going on how about yourself yeah i think like the
00:59:43.540 only word to describe this is terrorism it's the only thing that's happening here you can't describe
00:59:48.660 it any other way and yeah personally i don't i don't feel very safe here like clearly um with
00:59:54.820 everything going on it's just chaos right now there are people running through the halls it was just
00:59:59.940 what like we heard stuff about bricks and then we heard the cars being smashed and then we heard the
01:00:05.220 threats and just everything going on honestly it's just horrible like we're a high school a bunch of
01:00:10.180 kids and we don't i don't see what we have to do with any of this kind of um and i don't understand why
01:00:17.220 people would be doing this to us here's a few more details from the head of school jonathan levy
01:00:22.260 what other things would you like the toronto police to do can they do more and have they
01:00:28.340 offered to do more toronto police have been very responsive have had a wonderful presence here
01:00:34.500 we're really grateful for what they're what they're doing they've been here much of the day today
01:00:41.540 they've been here at other times they are supporting us they are advising us and we're really
01:00:45.860 appreciative for their uh expertise in this very difficult situation let me ask you you spoke in
01:00:52.020 generalities that the police are being supportive but is there anything specific for example will there
01:00:56.740 be police here on a regular basis there will be enhanced security obviously we're not going to get
01:01:01.780 into specific details of any security protocols um but there will uh and has been uh enhanced security at
01:01:09.300 the school look i don't know how you protect soft targets like a jewish school i was in budapest
01:01:16.340 hungary lately in front of an enormous synagogue and there's schools and jewish summer camps and i asked
01:01:23.700 the kids how they could do this with no security and they said life is very easy to be a jew in hungary
01:01:31.060 and the obvious reason why is because there are not hundreds of thousands or millions of migrants to
01:01:37.700 hungary from countries where anti-semitism is taught and propagated canada took a different path and
01:01:45.700 we brought over hundreds of thousands indeed it's now millions of people from places in the world where
01:01:52.020 anti-semitism is the formal doctrine from afghanistan from syria from other places and they were invited to
01:01:59.460 canada on the premise that they would assimilate and integrate but no one actually vetted anyone no one
01:02:05.780 actually insisted on integration multiculturalism in 2023 doesn't mean integration or assimilation it
01:02:12.980 means pockets and ghettos here's footage that we filmed a few days ago at what has been dubbed
01:02:19.780 gaza plaza this is not in gaza though it's in mississauga on the outskirts or part of the greater
01:02:26.020 toronto area take a look
01:02:56.020 it's not just in the greater toronto area here's some footage that our reporter sheila gun reid filmed
01:03:14.020 from edmonton alberta you wouldn't imagine it from edmonton well you don't need to imagine it
01:03:19.060 take a look for yourself at the celebration of murder
01:03:33.060 there have been these pro-hamas rallies all across the country and the
01:04:03.040 across the country in vancouver calgary edmonton toronto montreal ottawa and if someone is willing
01:04:11.520 to stand up and shout the word intifada which really means riot or pogrom if someone is willing
01:04:17.200 to use the palestinian chant from the river to the sea palestine will be free which means to totally
01:04:23.120 eradicate the entire state of israel and those within it if someone's willing to chant as they did in
01:04:29.040 sydney gas the jews did you see that
01:04:49.200 if someone's willing to say that are they willing to act on it we know that there are thousands perhaps
01:04:55.360 tens of thousands of people in canada who were thrilled by the murder and torture and rape that
01:05:01.360 they observed in gaza there was no tangible success for the palestinian people they did not
01:05:07.840 get any closer to a negotiated settlement they did not acquire one more square foot of land they are
01:05:13.920 no closer to establishing a state in fact in many ways they're further away from it the only news in the past
01:05:21.360 week was the barbarism of the murders of women and children and the rape and torture and humiliation
01:05:28.240 and that pure evil is what was celebrated in these rallies across canada now we heard the head of school
01:05:36.320 here talk about hate crimes and we've heard the police chief in this city talk about hate crimes with
01:05:41.760 regard to hateful behavior you know i won't play the rest of that clip in fact you could hear i was echoing
01:05:47.360 some of the things on the show today but um i was at that school and there were some threats against
01:05:54.000 kids and then i later found out they actually threw rocks and smashed some windshields
01:05:57.680 i wouldn't call that organized i wouldn't call those people terrorists i would say they were motivated by
01:06:03.840 anti-jewish hatred of course but i suppose it was a kind of terrorism but i think it was a crime of
01:06:10.640 opportunity they saw some jews they had been excited about the violence overseas thought they'd get into
01:06:20.000 it you can see why don't you show the picture of that kid i don't know if he's a kid i don't know how
01:06:24.720 old that that perp is there that suspect is he a teenager is he in his 20s i have no idea how old that
01:06:30.720 person is we might find out if charges are late um but i don't think that's like a terrorist operative
01:06:37.840 i think that's just someone like those harry ainsley high school kids in edmonton who got whipped up
01:06:44.480 excited by murder and rape uh their community leader praised murder and rape and they want to be part
01:06:51.280 of the community and part of the family and part of the team and so they're for murder and rape and
01:06:56.640 one day they won't just cheer about it one day they'll do it and it'll perhaps be opportunistic or be
01:07:02.080 perhaps they'll be you know professionals at it but uh it either way um it's violence there were
01:07:11.040 kids yesterday in toronto who were threatened and according to a report i heard from two different
01:07:17.840 people there was rocks thrown through windows um that's different than being murdered or raped of
01:07:24.480 course but i can tell you that terrified a lot of people here in canada we are no longer fireproof
01:07:30.720 house far away from flammable materials and how do you fix that problem that's my point earlier about
01:07:37.360 the f-35s and the carrier battle groups and the merkaba tanks and how does that stop a problem of
01:07:46.160 evil in the heart of too many people um our friend drea humphrey on the west coast was at an event with
01:07:54.320 pier poliev and um i think she had a chance to put some questions to i haven't had a chance to look
01:07:59.360 at the video but why don't we play it now and as we wrap up our podcast let's take a look at that
01:08:06.160 i have another question about the pro hamas protests that have been taking place we've been seeing them
01:08:12.720 across the nation pop up including in vancouver and as you mentioned about the day of rage that's
01:08:18.320 planned for today we also see that more are scheduled including in vancouver with little to no consequence
01:08:25.360 for organizers or attendees in contrast as you well know when everyday canadians gathered in
01:08:31.360 front of our parliament to oppose things like vaccine mandates in the freedom convoy the emergencies act
01:08:37.760 was invoked to crush their protest as well as to freeze bank bank accounts etc if your party forms
01:08:45.760 government what will it do to ensure that such an egregious double standard doesn't take place for
01:08:52.000 who has the right to protest in our country that's a very good question uh an excellent question in
01:08:59.600 fact uh justin trudeau's and the ndps imposition of the emergencies act to crush the civil liberties of
01:09:09.760 canadian citizens was one of the most despicable acts we've seen under his government i will ensure
01:09:17.120 that never happens again i will protect people's freedom of speech freedom of assembly and freedom of expression
01:09:25.840 we will make canada the freest country in the world and at the same time i will exercise my freedom
01:09:33.360 to condemn anyone who celebrates the murder of little babies of grandmothers the rape of mothers
01:09:41.520 that has unfolded in the middle east because of the evil of hamas no canadian should stand with
01:09:54.160 an evil sadistic terrorist death cult like hamas people are free to have their own opinions
01:10:03.440 but i am free to condemn those opinions as a citizen myself and we also know that under the law hamas is
01:10:13.600 a terrorist enterprise it's criminal to provide material support to hamas so i want to make sure the
01:10:21.920 police enforce the law by investigating and and uh charging anyone who provides money
01:10:33.120 organization or other support to help hamas carry out terrorist attacks against civilians or anyone else
01:10:44.880 it's a good answer uh i think it could go farther as i've mentioned several times and maybe i should
01:10:51.760 do a show on this our criminal code has special provisions against support for terrorist groups
01:10:56.720 so yeah free speech he emphasized free speech i'm glad he did by the way i wouldn't want canada put under
01:11:04.400 martial law because people were saying kill the jews i think those people should be outed denormalized
01:11:12.880 if they're foreign citizens they should be deported but i think if anyone is actually helping hamas
01:11:20.080 as defined in the criminal code fundraising for them recruiting for them supporting them in a material way
01:11:26.960 they should be prosecuted as terrorists
01:11:30.800 and i haven't heard anyone talk about that i've heard people talk about
01:11:33.680 hate crimes but the criminal code also has these special terrorist crimes but i think it starts with
01:11:44.240 condemnation and that's what's so terrifying is so many institutions are not condemning
01:11:51.600 the support for barbarism they're defending him well it's 2 12 eastern time what a pleasure to be with
01:11:59.600 you on this live stream i hope you found it interesting i encourage you to continue to
01:12:03.200 check in with our various websites including especially we website we've set up for our friend avi
01:12:08.560 overseas in israel the truth about the war.com and he couldn't be closer to it holy moly to see that
01:12:16.560 drone overhead and to duck into the into the bomb shelter play that video one more time and to
01:12:23.280 and i tell you the courage there and you can see our cameraman benji and they duck into one of those
01:12:28.400 bomb shelters like i say in sterot every block like there must be 500 bomb shelters in sterot just every
01:12:36.240 single block every bus shelter because that's what it's like when they start to attack let's play that video
01:12:42.080 uh the first two minutes of it at least it's just so incredible to have a guy on the ground and his
01:12:48.800 bulletproof vest is coming let's take a look
01:12:54.240 avi mini for rebel news in beri israel hundreds of meters from the site of the musical festival in which
01:13:03.040 hamas hunted and slaughtered kidnapped and raped party goers party goers who were there to celebrate
01:13:09.280 peace now at the moment here things are really tense even just standing at the checkpoint conducting
01:13:17.280 interviews there was overhead drones one firing about 150 meters from us the ones that are
01:13:27.120 slightly shaken from the explosion we waited a few moments until it seemed like the threat had passed
01:13:32.640 and continued our interview when suddenly shooting began as we were trying to figure out what was
01:13:46.640 happening ahead i noticed a drone above and bolted for the bomb shelter nearby
01:13:52.560 what's happening
01:14:04.400 i got it i got it
01:14:08.480 They're aiming, they're coming back around.
01:14:23.340 They come back around.
01:14:26.420 There we go.
01:14:27.240 They're starting to shoot it.
01:14:28.120 It seems like they managed to shoot it down.
01:14:30.320 That's the first time we've been close enough from a shelter to actually get in there in
01:14:34.100 time.
01:14:34.460 But this is the situation here, and it does not look like it's settling down anytime
01:14:40.720 soon.
01:14:45.000 All right, we'll have more from Avi.
01:14:46.560 We have a special report he just put together and just filed to us.
01:14:50.460 I'm not sure if we can even tease a few seconds of it, or does it need more work?
01:14:54.440 It needs to be added.
01:14:55.160 It needs to be added.
01:14:55.980 Okay, well, we'll have that tonight on the Ezra Levant Show, which is at 8 p.m.
01:15:00.000 Eastern time.
01:15:00.900 The podcast is free, but to subscribe to the premium show, as we call it, just go
01:15:05.900 to rebelnewsplus.com.
01:15:08.080 It's eight bucks a month.
01:15:09.200 I do a show every day.
01:15:10.140 I'm doing this live stream.
01:15:11.000 I'm enjoying it.
01:15:11.480 But every night at 8 p.m.
01:15:13.100 Eastern, I do a show.
01:15:14.640 I do a long monologue, and then I typically interview a guest, although this week we're
01:15:18.400 having Avi do the guest segments because they're so interesting.
01:15:21.740 Hey, I just want to give a shout out to the folks who chipped in for the Rumble Rants and
01:15:25.780 the Super Chats.
01:15:26.500 Lori 6602 chips in 20 bucks.
01:15:29.420 Thank you, and says, thank you, Rebel News.
01:15:31.860 We get truth from you.
01:15:32.800 I appreciate that.
01:15:34.060 Anthony Laferred chips in a couple bucks.
01:15:36.560 Hey, Ezra, with the reports of Egypt warning Israel about the potential of Hamas planning
01:15:40.740 an attack.
01:15:41.140 Do you think Bibi Netanyahu intentionally ignored warnings if reports are true?
01:15:45.420 I've heard that he was given the heads up and did not act on it.
01:15:48.700 I find that confusing, and I think that demands a detailed explanation.
01:15:56.500 Was the warning from Egypt substantial?
01:15:59.920 Was it actionable?
01:16:00.980 Was it reliable?
01:16:03.720 I can imagine that there's rumors and tips all the time.
01:16:09.040 Was it assessed properly?
01:16:11.140 Why was it rejected?
01:16:12.540 Who on the Israeli side got it?
01:16:14.460 It's stunning to me that Israel, which is known, famous for its intelligence networks,
01:16:20.440 didn't detect this either through human sources or electronic sources.
01:16:24.460 So that is obviously an incredibly important question to ask.
01:16:28.980 And it reminds of the Yom Kippur War 50 years ago, where on a Jewish holiday just like this
01:16:36.400 time, in fact, it was 50 years to the day, it's on the anniversary of the Yom Kippur War,
01:16:43.120 where Israel was invaded by surprise and almost lost, frankly.
01:16:49.220 And there was a massive intelligence failure, and that caused a reckoning in the Israeli military
01:16:56.340 espionage, security, intelligence community.
01:16:59.500 And I think the same thing needs to be done here.
01:17:02.900 I think that's all the Super Chats and the Rumble rants.
01:17:06.280 So I thank you for that.
01:17:07.460 I'm going to sign off now until tonight.
