00:00:00.000 you are now watching the daily roundup
00:00:17.960 good afternoon ladies and gentlemen you have tuned into the daily roundup on this
00:00:25.560 a wednesday march 22nd 2023 i'm david menzies and my co-host well let me tell you a little bit
00:00:33.780 about my co-host folks do you know that today is international talk like william shatner day
00:00:40.660 and my co-host well she set her phasers on fun did you see what i did there she is the she devil
00:00:46.980 with a spatula she is the khaleesi of the greater coburg area she is tamara ugolini how you doing
00:00:55.260 there tamara well i'll be doing all right as long as you promise not to speak like william shatner
00:01:00.860 all day well let's get that out of the way what is your favorite star trek episode tamara ugolini i am
00:01:07.220 not a star trek fan so don't i can't even go there i know sorry my husband would be so embarrassed to
00:01:13.880 know that i just publicly displayed that but no i am not a star trek fan unfortunately well at some
00:01:19.620 point text your husband and get his opinion on what his favorite episode is i mean it is talk
00:01:25.220 like william shatner day are you able to talk like william shatner tamara i was hoping that you could
00:01:30.320 surprise us with some uh impersonations i cannot do that i would love to be like a modern day rich
00:01:37.640 little um it would be just so fantastic you know phoning in a radio show uh and uh doing you know
00:01:44.440 pretending you're justin trudeau and doing a absolute note perfect um impersonation and getting
00:01:51.960 on the air as the prime minister um you know the the mainstream media would have a meltdown getting
00:01:57.580 fooled like that all the time so if there um if there's anyone that can talk like william shatner
00:02:03.200 or prime minister trudeau you have my blessing to do as much punking and pranking as you possibly can
00:02:09.560 so tamara what is it to us as a tip what's that of course don't forget to don't forget to send it
00:02:14.800 to us as a as a tip if you do so yes record the conversation we're all ears yeah so tamara what is
00:02:21.880 it that we are trying to do here as opposed to just uh rambling on about star trek yeah well we'll cut
00:02:29.380 to that chase right away so if you're joining us we are streaming on a few different platforms
00:02:33.540 we are on youtube rumble uh getter sorry not rumble my mistake rum sorry yes rumble getter
00:02:42.780 odyssey youtube and twitter all right i've hit all the things and i don't think we'll get into
00:02:47.500 any nitty-gritty questioning the science related stuff so we'll be able to stay on youtube i hope
00:02:52.440 for the duration of our live stream but oftentimes we just direct people to those other platforms
00:02:57.220 anyway because youtube is kind of this um holy grail of censorship where you can't say certain
00:03:04.380 things that go against to their quote-unquote community standards um so and then because of
00:03:10.300 that we have been completely demonetized from the platform uh so a simple way for you to engage with
00:03:16.640 us directly but also for us to keep our journalistic efforts afloat it was by getting um chats on youtube
00:03:24.380 and now since we've been deplatformed due to wrong think and wrong speech uh you can go on to rumble
00:03:30.940 or i believe it's odyssey is the other one and give us a rumble rant or a hyper chat there and uh
00:03:38.040 five dollar donations or more we will read it and kind of highlight showcase your comment on screen so
00:03:44.440 don't forget to head on over to one of those platforms to do that directly and otherwise uh our theme
00:03:51.140 today from what i could gather out of all the various topics we're gonna we're going to touch
00:03:56.720 on is basically the totalitarian tiptoe um so how canada is continues to slip into this authoritarian
00:04:03.780 abyss and uh has this kind of iron fist of censorship continuing to permeate into our country um and so the
00:04:13.120 first thing that we have is a little bit of i guess comedic relief uh we have roseanne bar the infamous
00:04:21.500 star of well roseanne um making an absolute mockery of justin trudeau on her little on their stage um
00:04:32.980 so maybe we can just start off with that and go from there beautiful
00:04:36.580 let's help him do that would you rather live in america than canada yeah yeah we got to get
00:04:43.200 him of course he would canada fucking sucks ass they're taking people's money out of their accounts
00:04:49.400 and making them take pause this for a second hold on we have to warn you that there is some vulgar
00:04:54.280 language i mean what do you expect from roseanne bar uh so you know adults only here in this next part
00:05:01.240 she is not holding back at all so there's some vulgar language for anyone who might be sensitive
00:05:06.340 to that just be fair warned teen jabs in the fucking eyeballs of the goddamn vaccine
00:05:13.460 fuck you liberals roseanne is here everybody
00:05:19.860 i'm telling you what it's not but a bunch of commie devil worshipers up there in fucking canada
00:05:27.200 that's what you've got up there goddamn castro's son fucking what's his face is castro's illegitimate
00:05:34.480 fucking clone of a goddamn son i like i like i like it his citizenship hearing they're like do you
00:05:41.600 have a sponsor he's like yes i do meet roseanne
00:05:44.400 uh she's hilarious oh my god but you know what every day more and more americans are waking up to
00:05:56.220 reality and knowing i'm telling the goddamn truth nothing but the truth so help me god
00:06:02.720 god i'm not a lying goddamn prostitute and whore i tell the truth everything's a
00:06:09.840 bullshit lie and i'll tell you when i knew it when my kids told me to quit smoking because i was going
00:06:13.920 to get sick from the covid so i quit smoking two weeks later i had the fucking covid yep and then i
00:06:19.360 read in the papers it says cigarette smoke can protect you from the fucking covid it's true that's
00:06:24.720 the thing did you see that it's all a bullshit fucking lie to get me to quit smoking god damn
00:06:33.520 mother fucking right uh it was a conspiracy just to get uh rosanne to stop smoking well you know um
00:06:42.160 tamara i think like most canadians i subscribe to the mantra when it comes to getting recognized by the
00:06:48.640 united states love us hate us but for god's sake don't ignore us because usually canada is such an
00:06:56.320 afterthought but i can tell that roseanne is up to date on the uh blackface file uh trudeau has
00:07:05.120 professed his admiration for the dictatorship of china that's going back 10 years ago to that infamous
00:07:11.840 quote uh before he became prime minister um and it's funny that you know i've always been champing
00:07:18.000 at the bit tamara to hear the mainstream media say you know 10 years later especially with covid
00:07:24.160 um almost 7 million dead around the world trillions and trillions of economic damage do you still have
00:07:30.880 basic admiration for the dictatorship in china they won't even ask that question because i'd love to see
00:07:36.240 his answer um post covid pandemic as opposed to what he said in 2013 and um so yeah so when when she
00:07:45.200 calls him a commie well that's who's running china right now it's the the communist party of china
00:07:51.360 and then she of course uh deferred to castro that is our number one selling t-shirt to marry you as you
00:07:59.200 know the justin castro t-shirt and joking aside i mean if you're not familiar with that t-shirt folks
00:08:04.880 it's one half of uh justin trudeau um one half of fidel castro and uh there it is um and
00:08:14.080 i i mean i'm not making a joke here the resemblance is uncanny in fact i can't i don't even know from
00:08:21.440 this angle is the color half trudeau or castro i can't tell to marry you galini so um it's just
00:08:30.800 it's wonderful wonderful to see uh roseanne bar who of course got cancelled i think back in and not her
00:08:38.240 show that is uh her as a personality for a uh allegedly racist tweet and you know that's another
00:08:45.840 thing um you know tamara the society we live in when it comes to the wokeism and virtue signaling and
00:08:54.320 the political correctness i find it so perverse that you can say something you can send out a tweet
00:09:02.480 you can say something on the air that is regretful maybe offside and i remember back in the day
00:09:10.480 you used to see uh say if it was a radio personality did that they'd be suspended for a couple of days
00:09:15.760 without pay and then you're back in now you are put in the penalty box as in forever and ever even
00:09:25.840 murderers first degree murderers in this country do a so-called life sentence that's 25 years hardly
00:09:32.480 life and they're out and yet for a thought crime it is a death sentence in terms of getting back on
00:09:40.560 the airwaves again so good for that um platform that's welcomed uh roseanne bar back i uh i really i
00:09:48.560 really enjoyed her uh insight into canadian politics and i think there's an opportunity
00:09:54.800 there where maybe we can send roseanne one of our justin castro t-shirts um like you mentioned
00:10:00.160 david that's a great design one of our best sellers and i must plug in here that if you want to order any
00:10:06.160 of our swag from our store you can use code tamara 10 and you can save 10 off of your total order and i
00:10:12.640 think definitely roseanne deserves to uh be a spokeswoman for one of those t-shirts tamara i think
00:10:20.000 that is a brilliant idea but here's where we get to the landmine in terms of selecting the shirt and
00:10:27.520 i'm referring to the size um what size do we choose because i've been told by people far smarter than i
00:10:36.400 that even if your significant other might qualify for um my 600 pound life always buy medium at the
00:10:46.160 max never buy large extra larger god forbid double xl so what size tamara ugolini are we going to send
00:10:54.800 to roseanne bar i think that's a question for another day david i don't want to be put on the spot it
00:11:00.960 looks actually she looks pretty good there in that last clip it looks like she's lost some weight so
00:11:05.200 maybe we would be safe to send her a medium um but again even our website it's kind of confusing
00:11:11.440 even for me there's women sizes there's men sizes and then there's like the gender neutral unisex sizes so
00:11:17.600 depending on which category you order from too they'll fit differently um something to keep in mind
00:11:22.800 but um let's move on here because our next video we have premier of ontario doug ford deflecting
00:11:29.440 uh from essentially his skirting of the emergency order public commission that took place um where
00:11:36.640 he we launched a whole campaign about it at fire or sorry um stop hiding.ca i believe it was um because
00:11:45.440 ford was hiding behind parliamentary privilege to evade his subpoena to testify at the public order
00:11:55.120 emergency commission that took place in ottawa a few months ago and he's just now being questioned
00:12:01.600 about it by the mainstream media so listen to his response premier ford we haven't had a chance to
00:12:06.720 ask you yet about the emergencies commission report uh just as the people of ottawa have felt abandoned by
00:12:13.680 your government during the convoy standoff and he criticized your reluctance to help resolve it
00:12:19.600 how do you respond to that well i think it's a that's their opinion it's furthest from the truth
00:12:24.080 we were on this every single day i want to thank uh commissioner opp and all the police officers around
00:12:29.600 the province that were deployed to ottawa and i'm just going to phrase it this way the mayor of ottawa
00:12:38.080 and the police chief they had their jobs the mayor of toronto meritori and chief ramer they had their jobs
00:12:46.880 it was night and day when when the convoy came to toronto they came they did their little protests
00:12:53.120 they were gone because chief ramer had operational experience he was ready mayor tory did a great job
00:13:01.840 and uh that's about as far as i'm going to say about the folks in ottawa the people that were in
00:13:07.600 charge are no longer there so we'll we'll kind of leave it at that wow john tory did a great job
00:13:16.080 you know uh tamara as we chronicled for years during the height of the pandemic uh what did we
00:13:23.440 see here in chuano we saw a restaurateur having the mounted unit come in to shut him down because
00:13:30.720 he was serving uh lunch to an appreciative crowd while 400 meters down the road costco had their food
00:13:39.200 service um unit open uh never had to shut down for an hour we saw protests being violently shut down
00:13:48.400 and i'm talking about peaceful protests okay really peaceful protests i.e there was nobody tearing down
00:13:54.640 statues and throwing spray paint bombs at anyone including one of our most infamous clips is a single
00:14:02.560 solitary protester at young and dundas waving god forbid a canadian flag and getting gang tap tackled
00:14:11.360 by the toronto police service how in anyone's estimation is that the mayor and the police chief
00:14:19.120 doing a good job to marry you galini well and also i should mention here that by the time the convoy made
00:14:25.680 its way to ottawa and i believe it was um january the roughly the 25th or 26th when they finally
00:14:34.960 landed in ottawa and then the protest was planned the week following that in toronto so by the time
00:14:42.160 that people were coming into queen's park to start protesting doug ford are already had a full week of
00:14:49.120 seeing and witnessing the events unfold in ottawa to have the foresight to be able to say wait a minute
00:14:55.680 we're going to stop this before it even gets started and for any of our viewers who are wondering we
00:14:59.680 were there on the ground covering what happened in toronto the toronto police um blockaded blocks
00:15:08.240 like several blocks all around encompassing queen's park so that you couldn't even get a single car
00:15:15.200 into any nowhere close to queen's park that's our um parliamentary buildings there um yeah here and
00:15:22.320 and so we were on the ground protesting that day and trucks did try to get in there and they were
00:15:27.360 blockaded by police they had brought in all city vehicles so they had tow trucks they had heavy
00:15:32.480 equipment they blocked off every single entrance to queen's park and even myself as a journalist trying
00:15:39.200 to head in there to cover this i had to go through a police blockade and you know i didn't have
00:15:44.160 my phone out because i was driving and i so wish i had captured this but they stopped me they asked me
00:15:51.040 that if i fell into the three reasons they were letting people in for work for for my job um sorry
00:15:57.600 for for work for school or for an appointment and i said well i'm going for work and so no no problem go
00:16:03.600 on through but they were stopping every single vehicle trying to get in and the major roadways were
00:16:08.960 blocked completely so i had to kind of skirt in on like one of the little side streets there
00:16:13.280 um so they had that foresight week a week prior that they knew and i think that also it was justin
00:16:19.040 trudeau's rhetoric remember when he referred to this as a small fringe minority yeah i think that the
00:16:24.320 government actually believed that this was just a small fringe amount of people that were coming to
00:16:30.000 ottawa to protest their mandates they never envisioned that this would be such a large groundswell
00:16:36.960 grassroots um uprising really of canadians coming together collectively to say finally enough is
00:16:44.720 enough and you need to listen to us because canadians had been being ignored by all levels of government
00:16:50.240 for two solid years and there was no other way to get the attention at this point of the elected officials
00:16:57.440 that were supposed to be representing their constituents all throughout this time but
00:17:01.040 they were not um so this was a really uh peaceful but extreme way to showcase just how many canadians
00:17:09.760 were fed up and they wanted to be heard and so doug ford had a week's worth of this protest unfolding
00:17:16.400 in ottawa to say okay we need to take some serious steps here to prevent the similar thing from happening
00:17:21.760 in queens park and similar to what they would do in a dictatorship they did they blockaded and prevented
00:17:29.440 our democratic right to protest with city taxpayer funded vehicles taxpayer funded police a hundred
00:17:38.640 percent tamara couldn't have said it better myself and you know you uh look at the other protests during
00:17:44.000 the pandemic i'm thinking particularly the summer of 2020 black lives matter uh protesters coming to
00:17:51.760 queens park on mass oh and by the way violating social distancing rules violating masking rules and all
00:17:58.000 the health officials saying well yeah it's uh it's understandable because you know this is such a um a human
00:18:04.880 rights movement um you know the uh they didn't say this but this is what they're implying that you know the
00:18:10.880 wuhan virus wouldn't dare infect them uh for congregating if it's for black lives matters and um not all that
00:18:18.960 peaceful they were always um throwing uh spray paint at the sir john a mcdonald statue uh i think one time they
00:18:26.480 tried to try to tear it down but since none of these uh lugans has an engineering degree they didn't know
00:18:32.400 how to and um what i found funny is that the response to that was uh doug ford barricading
00:18:41.920 the sir john a mcdonald he's still in a coffin right now with a garbage bag on his head
00:18:46.800 and boy it just that is just symbolic tamara of how much doug ford has changed since becoming
00:18:56.480 premier the first city i believe out of the gate in terms of tearing down a sir john a mcdonald's
00:19:04.160 statue and putting it into storage was victoria bc and i clearly remember doug ford saying if you think
00:19:12.000 the founding uh prime minister of our country is that offensive send it to ontario you know we'll
00:19:18.320 put it on the north lawns of queens park in addition to the one we have in the south lawn so he's gone
00:19:23.120 from that having two sir john a mcdonald's statues if victoria decided to give it up to uh covering up
00:19:31.360 the one that remains there and as you can see uh there's the the paint there's uh egerton ryerson
00:19:38.000 my old alma mater uh not called ryerson anymore it's um uh it and you see the the paint being
00:19:45.520 tossed and by the way where are the cops when you need them i think that's illegal isn't it tamara
00:19:49.840 getting a bucket of pink paint and tossing it on a statue and there folks that is what you see uh right
00:19:57.440 now and that plaque is basically and it's been there for a good two years now it's like hmm you know we're
00:20:05.920 thinking about this statue because some people are kind of offended and we're gonna look into it and
00:20:13.440 figure out what we need to do i mean it's two years for goodness sakes take down that coffin
00:20:19.600 and put the prime minister on full display why are you bending the knee to the mob and if it is triggering
00:20:25.440 the people and they come down there with buckets of paint and ropes to try to tear it down arrest them
00:20:32.480 instead instead of turning a blind eye to crime but no when it comes to the trucker convoy oh no no
00:20:38.640 no those are the barbarians at the gate uh we're going to set up a perimeter you're not getting
00:20:44.640 anywhere near queens park or uh young dundas square literally the town square to exercise your right to
00:20:51.920 protest i think the double standard is a pathetic and appalling tamara and it's just all par for the
00:20:59.520 course these days yep i mention it all the time and i've actually coined this term now this belongs
00:21:05.360 to me it's the hypocrisy of the bureaucracy um speaking of hypocrites we have uh ndp later leader
00:21:14.000 jagmeet singh um basically saying that alluding to the clear collaboration that he has with the
00:21:21.760 justin trudeau liberals in um uh what's the word that i'm looking for here they've uh colluded well
00:21:29.440 not colluded um i can't think of it david help me out oh are you talking about uh electoral
00:21:36.000 interference electoral interference but um the the ndp and the liberals are basically propping up and
00:21:43.360 combining their parties into a minor a majority government and so but he's saying that that's a
00:21:49.360 conservative narrative and that isn't actually true here we'll hear it from him himself
00:21:55.520 has turned into a circus in a lot of ways we look at the conservative approach they're not serious
00:22:00.480 about getting work done they're not serious about holding the government to account beyond just
00:22:04.640 attacking the government and throwing mud they're not interested in protecting your democracy we had
00:22:08.560 a vote today that could have happened today on a public inquiry we gave the conservatives heads up we
00:22:13.200 let them know what's going to happen we would have had a vote in parliament on a public inquiry
00:22:17.520 they blocked it they're not interested in getting to the truth and the committee is not the best path
00:22:22.400 to actually deal with these serious questions we believe in a public independent inquiry is the path
00:22:26.880 but there's some questions that canadians need answered and there's some people that should be
00:22:30.160 coming before committee and we made that happen but for an exhaustive list that should happen in a
00:22:35.360 public independent inquiry not in committee how do you i guess um explain the fact that it looks like
00:22:43.120 the ndp are giving cover for the liberals well that's false that's a conservative narrative the
00:22:48.320 reality is conservatives the conservative the narrative it's not your narrative it's a conservative
00:22:52.880 narrative the conservative narrative is this they make it sound like they care about a public inquiry
00:22:57.680 we had a chance to vote on it today literally today we could have voted on a public inquiry with the
00:23:03.040 opposition parties pushing forward a public inquiry they blocked it we made the chief of staff of
00:23:10.000 justin trudeau testifying committee we made that happen we forced it to happen we've shown that the
00:23:14.720 conservatives are useless because they are useless they've been useless in the pandemic they've been
00:23:18.800 useless in this minority government they haven't done a thing for canadians to make their lives better
00:23:22.800 we have consistently been the ones to try to protect our democracy to try to deliver real help
00:23:27.360 for canadians and we'll continue to do that thank you so much you know i'm surprised that jug meat singh
00:23:34.000 can actually stand up because i don't think this man has a spine because if he had a spine he would
00:23:40.880 say uh quite frankly we didn't know about this you know chinese interference or foreign interference in
00:23:47.840 our elections when we got into this coalition and now that we're finding out that this might really be a
00:23:54.320 thing that we uh that the you know blackface had his friends in china uh tinker with certain writings
00:24:01.360 to make sure certain liberals got elected certain conservatives did not get elected and of course
00:24:07.120 blackface got his minority government back well we in good conscience cannot support the liberals we
00:24:14.880 have to withdraw our support of the liberals now that would be you know the words of a true leader
00:24:22.880 but the sad reality is tamara is that the ndp has no money in the war chest for an election so the last
00:24:31.920 thing jagmeet singh wants is an election and secondly speaking of um jagmeet singh's personal goals as
00:24:41.280 i've mentioned many times 2025 is the magic number for him because that's when he completes six years of
00:24:48.560 tenure in the house meaning he gets the full mp pension to pay for you know the rolex watches
00:24:55.280 the armani suits the bmw m3 oh no plug-in hybrid for mr singh none of that climate change crapola for
00:25:03.760 this guy he wants a 500 horsepower german sports car but uh i digress so uh it's very rich to see him uh
00:25:13.120 calling out uh the conservatives when he holds the trump card to withdraw support for this odious
00:25:20.880 liberal government forget about you know chinese electoral interference maybe that hasn't been
00:25:24.400 proven but how many scandals uh tamara have we seen and this government gets a free pass so i mean
00:25:33.760 enough with this rhetoric already jagmeet yeah absolutely and i don't like that he has this pass and this
00:25:41.040 leverage um that's really uh kind of a scary thought to think that this truly fringe minority
00:25:48.480 uh party has such leverage in our democracy but yeah he could instantly just stop propping up the
00:25:56.320 liberal government with this unofficial coalition that they have going on between one another um and
00:26:03.440 get some get down to some real work in the house of commons but it seems that you know these politicians
00:26:08.240 aren't really interested in that and they would rather just cling on as long as they can to get
00:26:12.720 their taxpayer funded um money free money that will follow them for the rest of their lives and
00:26:19.600 that is just it's so wild to think um the state of affairs that we're in financially that that is is
00:26:26.640 still ongoing but anyway we uh are going by the way tamara sorry to interrupt but did you just do a
00:26:33.200 subliminal uh word there in honor of international talk like william shatner day when you said klingon
00:26:41.360 or am i reading into this wrongly oh you you well you know what no that was definitely subliminal there
00:26:48.080 you go all right we'll go to a quick ad and then we're going to come back to some of this uh protesting of
00:26:56.640 woke school boards and the sexualization of children yeah if you want to look good and shine
00:27:06.160 like me you can do so at our store go to ribbon new store.com on this website you have so much
00:27:14.240 different style to wear as this one my favorite one justin castro with my code alexa10 you will have
00:27:23.200 10 percent off on your next purchase so don't hesitate go now and look so good like me
00:27:36.240 we really need to get one of those shirts over to roseanne bar uh so uh i'll put that in the
00:27:41.440 employee suggestion box uh tomorrow yeah um you alluded to before the ad break uh more wokeism uh in
00:27:49.600 the school boards and um ace shooter lincoln jay and i we went out to the durham district school board
00:27:56.800 on monday uh to cover that now what's been happening there tamara you know the back story is parents are
00:28:04.880 in my view rightfully upset that sexual surveys are going out to children as young as eight or nine
00:28:14.080 that would be grade four and um it's all about they want to know the gender identity of the kids
00:28:21.200 they want to know the sexual orientation and the parents are asking well why do you need to know this
00:28:29.840 you know from a nine-year-old what is the information going to be used for who has access to this
00:28:36.720 information and i think more importantly tamara now that we're seeing provincial test scores plummeting
00:28:42.800 what does this have to do with education and um you know evidently you ask those questions
00:28:52.080 in the durham district school board uh they will silence your microphone and maybe even call the
00:28:58.640 police and the police and their paddy wagons were on standby that day if you can imagine
00:29:03.120 to haul away any parent that might ask an impolite question they're also concerned tamara about materials
00:29:10.880 in the library that would quite frankly uh qualify as pornography nope that's not pornography that's
00:29:19.040 diversity these days and so there was a small protest of parents but the story really was the
00:29:27.680 counter protest which i would say outnumbered i'm not exaggerating here the original protesters the
00:29:34.960 parents by a factor of at least 50 or 60 to 1 and the reason for that is that the various public sector
00:29:43.120 unions started beating the war drums get your members out to the durham district school board headquarters
00:29:51.040 wear rainbow colors shout down the haters that's what they always say uh if you have a contrarian
00:29:58.320 viewpoint um you're a hater you're a bigot you're a transphobe you're a homophobe and uh that's what
00:30:05.280 happened on monday um the counter protesters took over they also packed the chamber so that a lot of
00:30:11.920 the parents that wanted to go in and speak or even witness the school board meeting uh they couldn't
00:30:17.440 because it was at capacity so um we might have some video of uh what we encountered and uh i'll let the
00:30:25.600 the video tell the story david menzies for rebel news here in whitby at the durham district school
00:30:33.520 board headquarters now folks the durham district school board is soon going to have its monthly
00:30:37.040 meeting and there are some parents here to protest what they say is the ongoing sexualization of
00:30:45.440 children and as you can also see there's a counter protest that would be the people with the rainbow
00:30:51.040 flags um who are apparently i guess okay with the ongoing sexualization of children um as some
00:30:58.880 examples this board surveyed children as young as nine years old on sexual identity and sexual orientation
00:31:07.200 without even getting parental consent and many parents want to know why this board needed this
00:31:13.440 information they also want to know who has access to this information and they want to know what a
00:31:20.080 child sexual orientation has to do with education now those are i think valid questions but those at the
00:31:30.640 durham district school board and their supporters they have vilified and demonized these parents as
00:31:39.120 transphobes as well i should point out parents are alleging there are books in school libraries that are
00:31:45.840 pornographic but again this issue means that parents who complain about such books are branded as bigots
00:31:54.000 indeed just for asking questions oshawa trustee linda stone she was censored by her own school board
00:32:04.080 so the question arises why is this ongoing sexualization of children happening in our public education
00:32:12.640 boards in the first place and why is it that if parents ask reasonable questions well the mob brands
00:32:21.920 them as transphobes homophobes and bigots haters etc let's wade into this demonstration and find out what
00:32:30.000 these folks have to say love always wins thank you all so much well i believe that um they're
00:32:41.120 actually grooming the children they want to groom the children when they're indoctrinating our children
00:32:46.320 at such a young age and they say they love everybody they're accepting of everyone this is just
00:32:51.760 trying to normalize pedophilia but this group if you ask them if they're all going to be okay when the
00:32:57.040 pedophiles come into the school to speak and dance or whatever they're going to do and talk and read
00:33:01.520 stories to the children they don't like that but they love all and they want acceptance for everyone
00:33:06.080 i believe they're kind of pushing it into uh vulnerable children's head that uh you know they could change
00:33:11.600 their genitalia and all that which is completely irreversible and a lot of times that later on in life
00:33:17.680 they end up regretting that decision and i i think that's an adult thing and it should be kept out of the
00:33:22.000 classroom i think it's i think it's just terrible i think it's you know it's just it's not right your
00:33:28.960 sign says i'm only phobic about grooming kids um what does that mean um well a lot of we've had we
00:33:36.400 meet here every month for every school board meeting but this time it got out that we're transphobic and
00:33:42.160 we're anti-lgbtq um that is not why we're here we're here against the sexualizing of children both
00:33:48.880 through the school materials offered in the library and the way the the students have been
00:33:53.440 coming home and telling their parents what the teachers are saying in the school when i did speak
00:33:58.000 up at the last board meeting here last month i they were talking about um the bullying and stuff like
00:34:04.400 that the anti-bullying policy that they have and i did raise a concern about them actually bullying linda
00:34:10.480 stone and they shut my mic off she has a freedom of speech as well and i think what they did was wrong
00:34:16.400 and they need to bring her back i'm afraid that a lot of the good teachers who have been standing up
00:34:21.120 and speaking out been fired so what we're left with is this these people who are saying no more
00:34:25.440 hate and then they're going around hating and trying to intimidate us and stuff we don't want to pay our
00:34:30.400 tax dollars for this at all no we don't want our children indoctrinated into this um agenda and it is
00:34:37.840 our government that is pushing this agenda and it's another distraction from all the other stuff going on
00:34:43.360 some of our members are gay my daughter is gay she's just recently decided that she's trans
00:34:48.240 she's 22 years old that's her decision it's all about you know just our children and protecting the
00:34:59.440 rights of our children and giving our parents their voice well they're trying to drown us out here
00:35:05.600 i can see a sign behind you hate has no home here you don't seem like a hateful person so why is he
00:35:12.400 doing that i'm not sure but that's okay i mean freedom of speech right that's okay
00:35:25.200 yeah tomorrow it's kind of hard to get the you know the opinions of the other demonstrators although
00:35:31.840 we did get that in the video when they start drowning you out with chants and getting in front of the
00:35:36.960 camera and whatnot but you know what i just find unbelievable is that one of the unions that uh
00:35:46.240 recruited these uh counter demonstrators was if you can believe it the elementary teachers federation of
00:35:53.520 ontario wouldn't you think that a union that represents elementary teachers who teach to elementary
00:36:03.520 students that's grade six and down wouldn't they be concerned about sexualization getting into the
00:36:10.000 classroom about pornographic books getting into the library no but apparently they're down with that
00:36:16.480 uh tamara as a mother how do you explain this well i've been covering this topic in depth we actually
00:36:23.040 launched a campaign at stop classroom grooming.com because i had filed an access to information request
00:36:29.120 about some of these surveys there is the student census survey and then there's also the school
00:36:35.600 climate survey and that has nothing to do with climate as in environmentalism it is it has to do
00:36:40.800 with the school environment and how people feel within it and so in some of these surveys they ask as you
00:36:47.360 already stated david for for children's sexual identity sexual orientation and gender identity and the
00:36:53.760 directive from the ministry of education in some one survey the student census survey it's so convoluted
00:37:02.160 and and hard to differentiate between the two because they're very similar but the directive
00:37:07.040 specifically for one of these surveys was that questions around gender identity and sexual orientation
00:37:12.320 were meant to be sent home to parents to be completed on behalf of students and then for eight for high
00:37:17.680 school and up the parents you don't need to give consent at all these students can be asked for this
00:37:22.320 information in their classrooms unbeknownst to parents but what we discovered was that many
00:37:27.520 school boards actually disregarded this directive from the ministry and went ahead and asked students
00:37:33.360 in these young elementary grades for this information again largely unbeknownst to the parents who were
00:37:40.320 meant to be completing it for their students um in the school each school board received anywhere from 35
00:37:46.240 000 to 50 000 to 50 000 to institute these surveys in this data collection exercise and actually i will
00:37:53.520 be doing an update on that because some of these school boards have published the data and it's really
00:37:58.000 laughable what the response rates are on some of these surveys like 24 in one particular school board you
00:38:04.000 know so less than a quarter of the people are responding and yet they're using this 24 response rate
00:38:10.160 to institute policy changes and changes to their their human resources and bring these materials and
00:38:17.040 these what they are referred to as supplementary um supports or supplementary materials into the library
00:38:24.080 and on that same day david that you were at the durham district school board i was tuning in to the
00:38:30.640 waterloo region district school board who was having a meeting on the same and uh there was a delegation
00:38:37.680 there from david todor who i've interviewed previously who's been sounding the alarm on the heavily
00:38:45.040 sexualized content that has the features pornographic imagery in these um ebooks that are available in
00:38:52.880 the school's e-library and in certain instances in the physical libraries themselves um he's been very
00:38:58.720 expressing great concern over his children having access to and who kind of gauges the age appropriateness
00:39:04.960 of this content and what uh check or balance is in place to prevent things that are not age
00:39:10.320 appropriate um so actually we i think we have a clip of him and i must warn our viewers he is reading
00:39:16.480 an excerpt from a book titled identical by ellen hopkins and it details a horrific direct account
00:39:26.080 of incestual pedophilia and this is readily available now arguably in a high school
00:39:32.000 um but maybe we can just show the clip and again you know trigger warning here for anyone who's
00:39:37.440 experienced this kind of trauma because it is extremely detailed and grotesque
00:39:43.600 you keep doubling down on this here's a book that i did not see on the trillium approved book list by the
00:39:50.000 government however this book has been approved by your robust crew method system and deemed acceptable for
00:39:57.520 students you asked me to trust your process so how many people approved this book and deemed it age
00:40:05.360 appropriate now because you keep voting down to look into this i'm going to read this book because
00:40:11.520 you deemed it appropriate nobody did it you did it this kind of material this is the kind of material
00:40:16.960 that my daughters are going to be exposed to when she gets a little bit older the book is called
00:40:22.160 identical and this is a scene between a dad and a seven-year-old daughter named kaylee
00:40:28.880 he lifted her gently sat her down on the bed beside him then he opened the snaps on the fly
00:40:34.480 of his flannel pajamas it stood up stiff-ass the leg mike how much does daddy love you show me you love
00:40:42.480 me too touch it he closed her hand around it that's right that's right his voice rocked in
00:40:48.640 rhythm i don't even know if i can listen to it i don't know what i meant i have such a hard time
00:40:53.280 this is i i it's just it's disgusting and it's grotesque and this is content made readily available
00:41:00.720 to high school students and the really disgusting part about all of this is that david todor was then
00:41:06.640 questioned and i wrote this up in a written piece that you can find um on the rebel news website but
00:41:14.640 um he was questioned by a student trustee and then other trustees as well well what was the context
00:41:20.560 of the excerpt that you read and to which he responded what do you not understand this is
00:41:25.280 inappropriate like why does the context matter and i guess one trustee was under the impression that
00:41:30.400 this was a self-help book to try to nav to try to help um teenagers who had had similar experience
00:41:38.320 help them navigate their trauma by re-exposing them and re-victimizing them i mean it is absolutely
00:41:44.320 absurd that these books are in our student school libraries under the guise of self-help what these
00:41:50.960 children need is referrals to psychologists and to have you know places like children's aid society
00:41:56.800 called when there are instances of this type of horrific um abuses taking place like this isn't stuff
00:42:04.480 that we in my opinion should be normalizing and promoting in our school student libraries
00:42:12.240 oh i mean that excerpt alone uh tamara was appalling because not only it gets worse it gets worse
00:42:20.480 and and it's it's not just pedophilia it's also incest correct because the characters are a father
00:42:26.160 and a daughter and and you know the way i see this is they're already looking ahead for the next war
00:42:33.520 to to fight so right now it's all about uh the transgender community and you know trans women are
00:42:41.600 real women and if you're a transgendered woman you can compete against biological women in sports and of
00:42:47.920 course uh you know win all the medals if you're identifying as a trans woman you can be a 350 pound
00:42:56.480 bearded male prisoner and get to spend your sentence at a female penitentiary so there that's their
00:43:03.520 current goal it's all about trans rights i think you know uh gay rights has that battle has been fought
00:43:10.160 in one so it's trans rights and they're making great advancements and when i say great i put air quotes on
00:43:16.240 that uh because well quite frankly they're destroying women's sports and they're making female prisons
00:43:23.280 dangerous for a biological woman to be in when bubba identifies as betty and the government has no
00:43:30.000 problem with that but when it comes to uh pedophilia tamara i've already seen the language change you
00:43:39.520 know pedophilia that's a little judgmental how about something more gentle um how about intergenerational
00:43:46.560 love you see so already the rebranding uh is going on um when it comes to incest i don't know if they've
00:43:54.720 got a rebranding term for that much like intergenerational love is the new and approved word
00:44:00.800 for uh pedophilia if you're down with um you know uh a minor having sex with uh with a with a mature adult
00:44:10.160 and that is how the argument's being framed tamara who are we to say if the child
00:44:15.920 is fully consensual with having a sexual relationship with say a 44 year old man
00:44:22.080 then who are we to say that's wrong that is how it's increasingly being framed and it's it's disgusting
00:44:30.080 and don't look to the teachers unions for any help on this they are all down with this that was the
00:44:37.760 waterloo region district school board i believe that's one of the front runners along with durham
00:44:44.400 district school board and of course um the halton district school board where busty lemieux yeah
00:44:52.240 and and ottawa yep that's true too um where there are so many awful and woke school boards
00:45:01.440 that i asked this of the doug ford pcs when is education minister stephen lecce going to grow a
00:45:09.760 spine and he has the power to do this and disband those boards say that you are out of control you
00:45:16.880 are not serving either the students or the parents you're these woke marxist cabals that have a a
00:45:24.800 specific ideological agenda student scores are plummeting in this province and uh but lecce i
00:45:32.800 got to tell you tamara he's like a um a professional wrestling referee i mean when you look at halton
00:45:38.720 district school board time and time again these last seven months with the busty lemieux scandal he's
00:45:44.400 been saying now now listen halton district school board i've warned you seven times to implement a
00:45:50.880 dress code for faculty and if you don't do it i'm going to warn you an eighth time i mean that that's
00:45:57.360 what he is it's you know and and this has been our colleague uh sheila gun reed mentioned uh i think
00:46:06.240 last year or the year before in alberta the education minister disbanded a school board that was out of
00:46:12.000 control so it's not unprecedented but instead this so-called conservative government uh nothing to see
00:46:19.680 here folks uh we asked them politely and they didn't do anything that's what has to be done and and
00:46:25.280 tamara i gotta ask you this really what is the purpose of a school board principals have a lot of
00:46:31.520 power we can further empower them we have the ministry of education why do we need the middleman
00:46:38.480 when it comes to education because as far as i can tell they're all you know ndp acolytes using the
00:46:46.400 school board uh getting elected as a trustee as a um you know a spring box to get other further
00:46:53.280 political ambitions uh accomplished such as running for municipal provincial or federal
00:46:58.720 office so i say get rid of these rat traps yeah and i well and it all comes back to what does this
00:47:07.360 have to do with delivering education whatever happened to the three r's right reading writing
00:47:13.440 and arithmetic why are we budgeting and putting forward this supplementary material and who's vetting it
00:47:22.000 who's who's doing the checks and balances to make sure that it is age appropriate um the these unions
00:47:28.400 are all banding together actually another delegate that spoke at the wrsb del uh board meeting was
00:47:37.040 i mean he he introduced his slideshow by acknowledging his privilege and announcing his
00:47:42.400 pronouns so right off the hop you know what's to come but i i was researching who this person was a
00:47:48.880 little bit and i come to find out that he works for the school board he's um i think he was a senior
00:47:54.960 staff um oversee overseer in one of the the preston high school um anyway and and a lot of his argument
00:48:03.120 there were so many holes in it didn't really make a lot of sense tried to self-proclaim that he was so
00:48:07.760 well researched but then he didn't know that certain books are banned in libraries as it is like orwell's 1984
00:48:14.240 to kill a mockingbird dr seuss's the lorax these are all very well-known classics that have been
00:48:21.200 officially banned so why we're replacing those classics with books like identical and there's a
00:48:27.680 whole list uh that that for instance david todor has published on his he has he runs a youtube channel
00:48:33.840 dreah humphrey in bc our colleague has delved into this as well um this is mounting and then of course
00:48:41.040 there's also this the latest trans activist her name's julia malott and she delegated at this
00:48:47.440 particular board hearing on monday and um she says for instance the wrsb has a procedure in place it's
00:48:55.840 called procedure 1235 and it basically stipulates that staff cannot disclose a student's gender identity
00:49:04.800 if it differs from their biological identity um without their explicit consent to their parents
00:49:11.440 so they're intentionally to keep the parents in the dark about how this student wants to socially
00:49:17.120 transition and her delegation was all about how dangerous this is to further that divide and drive
00:49:22.320 that wedge between families who are the stepping stone to the medical system right if these children
00:49:28.560 have true gender dysphoria then they need help medically uh to move forward and probably also
00:49:35.680 psychologically to sort through these feelings and these very intense feelings and emotions
00:49:41.600 and so her delegation was all about how dangerous this is and also noted that there's a very key
00:49:47.120 mechanism already in place to help students who may be in actual i think she called it bonafide
00:49:53.600 danger of abuse right if their parents aren't welcoming if they're not if they're not helping
00:49:58.560 them um if there's an actual abusive situation at home happening then you call children's aid services
00:50:05.600 and they have the resources and the knowledge and the know-how to start to intervene but having a teacher
00:50:12.320 and school counselors she noted in her delegation that this is way above student counselor level stuff
00:50:17.840 like this is you need psychologists you need trained experts professionals in their fields
00:50:24.400 why a school a school board and teachers are meddling in the complex complicated
00:50:33.440 dysphoria of gender identity is really a slippery slope and a dangerous path because they don't have
00:50:39.360 the expertise to properly execute or address any of these concerns so i thought that was a really powerful
00:50:44.880 argument and really made a lot of sense to me that hey yeah if there's all these comorbidities that we
00:50:50.320 know from the data usually coincide with a transgendered individual then they need proper
00:50:56.720 help and assessment and evading the family going through a teacher isn't going to get them the help
00:51:03.920 that they truly need it's probably just going to make matters worse yeah and you know to the end of the
00:51:09.760 day it's a classic tail wagging the dog story if we look at the trans community you're talking about
00:51:17.600 a percent of a percent of a percent of a percent i mean yes it's not even a rounding error and yet we're
00:51:23.280 turning society upside down be it um drag queen story time to putting your pronouns on your name tag
00:51:32.800 as if there's any confusion that a bearded man who's serving you at indigo uh might have been
00:51:39.360 confused for a she her as opposed to he him but i just before we wrap this segment i want to get back
00:51:45.040 to the elementary teachers federation of ontario because um for those who remember at least six years ago
00:51:50.720 they made international headlines folks in terms of they had a proposal to expand the lgbt
00:51:59.360 moniker that's pretty easy you know uh tamara lesbian gay bisexual transgender right oh no no no no
00:52:08.320 that wasn't inclusive enough for the elementary uh teachers federation of ontario so their new
00:52:14.720 ackerman was lgg bd ttt i qq a a p p i swear to god i'm not making this up folks and we have to show
00:52:30.640 this little clip it was stephen le drew who used to be the president of the liberal party of canada
00:52:36.880 going on tucker carlson tonight and uh well um he was there to argue that there was no problem
00:52:43.840 with this i guess 15 letter acronym replacing the four letter one and also that canada is a bastion
00:52:51.040 of free speech i'm going to play you the clip and i'm going to tell you what happened in the aftermath
00:52:56.480 check it out taught it and i think i have a right to non-judgmentally ask what they're talking about
00:53:01.840 so for example what's two-spirit well two-spirit sounds like there's someone they don't know whether
00:53:07.280 they're uh you know fish or fowl they don't know whether they're prick or frack so they're clearly
00:53:11.760 confused and you know again clearly if you're confused what better place to go than to be at
00:53:16.480 school oh tamara now here is as paul harvey used to say here is the rest of the story um after the
00:53:26.400 trans community heard about that remark fisher fowl fricker frack they are clearly confused they went
00:53:35.520 bat shite crazy they went to steven le drew's employer of more than 20 years bell media and in
00:53:43.040 the days that followed that interview and keep in mind le drew was defending this crazy acronym and
00:53:49.440 arguing that canada is a land of free speech le drew was fired by bell media for um i guess triggering
00:53:58.560 a segment of the rainbow people unbelievable you couldn't write this stuff but the funny thing is
00:54:05.440 i think that was what five uh five or six years ago and now i mean we're not far off from the 15
00:54:11.840 letter alphabet oh i absolutely it's like two s l g b t q i a a plus i think is the latest one i don't know
00:54:23.120 my husband always makes fun of me he's like how how do you even know that and i said well you know i have
00:54:26.960 to report on it so i kind of have to know but yeah it's a whole string now and it includes um
00:54:33.040 numbers not just letters yeah and and that's the thing i mean even the people advocating for this
00:54:39.040 madness you know can they without a google search i did name all the groups that fall under once more
00:54:46.240 folks with feeling l g g b t t t i q q a a p p i think one of the p's stands for pansexual
00:54:56.960 i don't know if that means uh making love to cooking utensils but anyway i don't know what
00:55:03.280 most of those letters represent and i believe even the people advocating this madness don't even know
00:55:09.200 themselves tamara again tail wagging the dog uh what a sorry state of affairs and it'd be nice if we had
00:55:17.280 a government in power it would be nice if we had an education minister that wasn't so spineless and wimpy
00:55:24.800 as uh steven lecce because he's the solution to getting rid of this wokeness but for some reason
00:55:31.600 even with a super majority government even though most people you know agree that this is out of
00:55:37.680 control and by the way don't get confused just because the counter demonstration was far larger than
00:55:43.040 the demonstration don't think that that squeaky wheel is representative of the silent minority
00:55:49.760 majority rather because it isn't so it's up to lecce to wade in and bring these school boards back
00:55:57.760 to reality but he can't even get the home district school board to put in place a dress code for
00:56:05.120 teachers even though a dress code for students exists and a dress code for halloween costumes exist
00:56:12.320 tamara um again if you know steven lecce can i don't know buy a can of spinach and get his spine back
00:56:20.080 i would love to see that but i'm not hopeful likewise well let's start to a quick ad break
00:56:25.760 and we're nearing two o'clock so we'll come back read some super chats and um see how that goes all right
00:56:34.240 oh hey guys thanks for watching the live stream and sorry for interrupting but i just wanted to pop on to

00:57:01.760 coupon code sheila10 for 10 off at checkout
00:57:09.600 boy time has really oh what's that tamara oh i just said all righty but yes oh yeah no just
00:57:15.760 gonna say we didn't even have time to get to uh greta tunberg receiving an honorary doctorate from a
00:57:20.800 finnish university uh tamara did this gal finish high school even i mean yeah i don't think so
00:57:27.680 her globe trotting under the guise of caring about the environment and carbon emissions
00:57:33.760 prevented her from completing any real form of education but that doesn't matter because you can
00:57:39.040 virtue signal all day long and receive a doctorate so yay yeah for greta i guess the university overlooked
00:57:47.040 such breaches of data insanity as greta predicting in 2018 that the world was going to end in 2023
00:57:55.520 uh she just deleted that tweet a couple of weeks ago i'm kind of surprised because technically she
00:58:00.880 might still be right we've got until december 31st before 2023 ends but uh even she has had her uh
00:58:09.200 her moment of enlightenment i guess i guess she'll pick another date as the uh doomsday uh date but uh
00:58:15.840 we digress what uh sort of super chats do we have there tamara ugolini well there there's a loaded one
00:58:21.600 here um so i'm hoping that i'm pronouncing things correctly but it's from ableist sl gives five
00:58:27.440 dollars thank you regressive leftist trannies are harassing streamers over hogwarts legacy and drove
00:58:35.200 v to i think vtuber or is it do you mean youtuber uh picking me to quit i'm not familiar at all with any
00:58:43.280 of that plus did you read my super chat on hasanabi i'm sorry if i'm mispronounced caught going to a
00:58:49.920 trafficker brothel time stamp if yes so i am not familiar with any of those things i apologize um
00:58:58.160 but i will do some poking around and see what i can find i think that the super chat may have been from
00:59:04.800 yesterday or a previous day and so i can't recall perhaps maybe um one of our producers can let us know
00:59:13.920 if that ended up getting read and if so um if there's a time stamp and i think maybe they could
00:59:19.760 even respond to you in the comments themselves um so stay tuned give that give them a few minutes to
00:59:26.480 work on that we also have another one from am from amt 60 gives five dollar thank you there is a durham
00:59:34.400 region police town hall meeting at 6 p.m um at the ability center on 55 uh gordon street in whitby
00:59:43.680 media are invited have to apply by 3 p.m today so you're down to the wire and they give a link there
00:59:49.520 are any rebels going i wasn't aware that this was happening david i no i wasn't and and what does that
00:59:56.480 mean a durham region uh police town hall uh did you say tamara um yeah uh i'd like to go there and
01:00:03.920 i'd like to know um because we saw this at the durham district school board on monday they basically had
01:00:10.560 three police suvs lined up uh ready to haul away any parent that after their mic has been killed still
01:00:18.960 rambled on about some questions accountability issues for the board um so i would love to know if um
01:00:26.480 you know the individual officers of the durham regional police think that this is an example of
01:00:33.120 them upholding their vows cracking down on free speech cracking down on pyramid on parents who have
01:00:41.200 uh who are impolite enough to ask questions about a sexualization of their children uh going on in the
01:00:48.000 schools um so in case anyone's going to this uh today uh please uh ask that question because i would
01:00:56.320 imagine i mean if i was a durham regional copper uh tamara and i'm sitting outside a school board
01:01:03.280 getting ready to arrest a parent for asking a impolite or insensitive question i'm thinking
01:01:09.680 what am i doing you know why am i here with my brothers and sisters in law enforcement three police suvs
01:01:15.920 when i don't think real crime in durham is a thing of the past i think there are there is drug dealing
01:01:24.000 going on carjacking even homicide and meanwhile all those resources ready to haul away parents
01:01:30.960 who are making inquiries about the curriculum i think that is despicable yeah i see here i pulled
01:01:37.520 up a tweet from the durham regional police about their town hall it's done in partnership with our
01:01:43.920 diversity advisory committee um it's a public town hall which aims to capture the voices of our
01:01:50.400 community insights gained will drive future planning and priorities so there's some details there in uh
01:01:58.480 in their tweet with a little poster who it's being moderated by anyway um might be interesting to tune
01:02:04.560 in or maybe we'll see if we can someone can head on down thanks for the tip and always if you do have
01:02:10.080 tips like that and they're you know there's a time constraint send it to us tips at rebelnews.com
01:02:15.440 uh though that email is monitored a little bit more robustly than our live stream
01:02:20.640 chat section um let's see where was i here
01:02:26.880 sorry give me one moment uh aaron burton 32 gives five dollars thank you very much hi rebels was reading
01:02:32.960 that a u.s university has made a 3d printed cheesecake oh doug ford where art thou
01:02:39.280 what do you think of the 3d printed food and organs david i know doug ford would still eat the cheesecake
01:02:47.520 laugh out loud oh yes would he ever well you know i mean uh tamara and aaron thank you for that uh
01:02:54.160 donation uh is it simply a cheesecake because doug likes his cherry cheesecake so can the 3d printer
01:03:03.920 accommodate that it's much like you know blackface he doesn't want a rapporteur uh to look into the
01:03:10.000 alleged chinese interference in our elections he wants a special rapporteur not some garden variety
01:03:16.640 or off the rack rapporteur so um we have to be very specific when it comes to the requests of uh blackface
01:03:24.320 and doug ford yeah and i mean is it really that far off from like beyond meat
01:03:30.960 you're basically just eating paper is that a thing anymore oh beyond meat oh yeah they i think
01:03:39.600 you know like for instance a and w is really pushing they're beyond everywhere you go now you
01:03:43.920 can get these fake meat burgers and sometimes they're you know i always ask the people um that
01:03:50.320 are working you know for instance in restaurants do you make this burger in-house or is it just some like
01:03:55.200 it could be in the future now some 3d printed frozen paper patty um but i i always ask them if
01:04:02.080 they make them in-house because some places do actually make a really good black bean burger
01:04:07.360 um so sometimes you know you just i am a meat lover we buy a cow from a local farmer we eat all the
01:04:13.280 meat but sometimes you just don't want to eat meat one day or for one meal um so i will ask them if they
01:04:18.720 make it in-house and hey if you are looking for an alternative all the power to you but at least
01:04:24.160 make sure it's real food and black bean burgers can actually be pretty good and they're not this like
01:04:29.200 processed plastic paper garbage that you see you know meat stuff but tamara if you're in the burger
01:04:34.560 business like stick to what you know and if you want proof of that reach out to mcdonald's and ask
01:04:40.160 them how their mclean deluxe experiment went in the 90s uh which had all the tactile taste of uh sawdust
01:04:50.400 and that was a fake meat burger and uh has been forever um eradicated from the mcdonald's menu
01:04:58.560 although mcdonald's has this weird fetish of bringing back failed items like the mcrib
01:05:03.680 uh so maybe maybe one day they'll bring back mclean but i don't think so i think they lost
01:05:10.240 their shirts on that one you know what they should bring back is the pizza mcdonald's pizza
01:05:15.520 um they should definitely bring that back otherwise i do not eat mcdonald's i like you should ask them
01:05:20.640 about their 100 beef burgers and how the brand's going because i'm pretty sure it's not 100 beef
01:05:26.000 yeah but i digress i've heard about that but you know the pizza you know that's funny because i
01:05:30.560 once upon a time when that was being introduced tamara they invested hundreds of millions of
01:05:35.440 dollars into those pizza ovens at all their restaurants and the whole idea was to i mean
01:05:40.640 they were doing great with breakfast even better with lunch but dinner time not so great and that
01:05:46.080 was the idea for getting mcpizza into their restaurants and again it was a colossal failure
01:05:54.400 um because i think if i'm in the mood for pizza at night time you know what i'm going to do
01:06:00.480 call me crazy call me a crank i'm gonna go to a pizzeria right someone that specializes in uh
01:06:07.200 pizza as opposed to whatever the heck uh mcdonald's was was selling so like the mclean deluxe uh they
01:06:14.320 lost big on that one too no no mcpizza for david um funis gives five dollars thank you how about a go
01:06:23.040 fund me set up for sing paying out more than his pension to try and buy him out to resign they
01:06:30.240 sell out to the lobby groups why not to a people's lobby yeah i think the the better question here is
01:06:36.400 who would donate to that um maybe maybe people who are really eager to get him out but um i'm not
01:06:43.520 holding my breath you know what tamara i think that's a brilliant idea i mean what's the population
01:06:48.480 of canada more or less 38 million if we all donated a buck um even 50 cents that adds up into several
01:06:56.880 millions of dollars and uh i'd be the first to donate if the quid pro quo is jagmeet singh doing
01:07:03.920 his resignation speech so that might be win-win for everybody i think well we're at it let's kill two
01:07:11.600 birds with one stone and get trudeau out too all right i think we're all cut up caught up on the super
01:07:18.720 chats are there any anything else i don't think so i think we're 10 past the hour i know you have a
01:07:25.040 uh a mission to get to uh tamara ugolini so uh that uh cannot be kept waiting so i'd like to thank
01:07:33.040 everybody for tuning in especially those who gave a donation that's how we keep the lights on here and
01:07:39.520 of course olivia and efron uh doing great work behind the board our super producers and uh the lovely
01:07:45.840 tamara ugolini from the greater coburg area i'll be back here tomorrow i think it might be with
01:07:52.560 drea humphrey out on the west coast so in the meantime folks as always stay safe and stay sane
01:08:01.360 this morning there are people protesting in calgary because they want to take the name of our first
01:08:10.080 prime minister sir john a mcdonald off their school uh pointing to um the stand he took on
01:08:18.560 residential schools what is your opinion of uh this um request by the protesters that the calgary
01:08:28.080 board of education remove the name of sir john a mcdonald off a school here in calgary
01:08:33.680 we respect the right of local school boards to make their own decisions about how they
01:08:40.640 they do their naming i understand that cbe is going through a process on this and um we'll have to see
01:08:48.400 what it is that they turn up with at the at the local level this uh it's you know this is is part of
01:08:54.080 the the uh the the problem that we have right now is that uh not all of our prime ministers were
01:09:01.440 perfect people and i i think that um being able to have a a discussion historically about the rights
01:09:09.440 and the wrongs is a is important discussion to have but as for the issue of naming we we do leave that to
01:09:16.960 this this calgary board of education on what their ultimate decision is there correct do you have a
01:09:22.000 follow-up uh yes thank you um the former uh premier jason kenney uh was very adamant in his um views on
01:09:36.240 uh removing the name um do you have a personal opinion on this particular issue i i do i do get
01:09:46.080 concerned about erasing portions of our history um because i do think it's important that we
01:09:52.800 understand the rights and the wrongs that all of our prime ministers did it's it is part of canadian
01:09:57.360 history we have to look things squarely in the eye when things uh happen that we wouldn't approve of
01:10:03.200 today and we have to be willing to talk about it and i i think that the the the cancellation of some of
01:10:09.440 these historical figures works against that we we should have these long conversations and we should
01:10:14.640 be able to address the the issues of the past we've got prime ministers that have been named
01:10:19.200 on buildings and on airports all over this uh this country and so i i guess that's the question that we
01:10:25.040 have to ask ourselves is are we going to be canceling all of them um because of of mistakes that they
01:10:31.840 that they made that that i think is is a broader conversation that we need to have i think that uh this
01:10:38.320 particular case of this particular school as i said we agree with local control local decision
01:10:44.320 making and it will be a decision of the calgary board of education if people are wanting to weigh
01:10:48.880 in they should call the trustee
