Summary

Who is the man who body-snatched Premier Doug Ford? Is it aliens, a robot or something even more sinister? Or is it something far more sinister like the plot to take over the world by the aliens in the film Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Tonight, who body-snatched Doug Ford?
00:00:04.560 It's Wednesday, May 18th, 2022.
00:00:07.720 I'm David Menzies, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:00:13.720 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:00:17.580 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:00:21.660 The only thing I have to say to the government of a wire publisher
00:00:25.040 is because it's my bloody right to do so.
00:00:30.000 Well, folks, the other day I was thinking about one of my all-time favorite films.
00:00:37.660 It's a bit sci-fi and a whole lot of horror.
00:00:40.280 I speak of the 1978 reboot of the 1956 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
00:00:48.160 Now, granted, the title is more cheesy than a bucket full of Bulgarian feta,
00:00:52.680 but the content is downright disturbing.
00:00:56.700 They come from a dying world.
00:01:00.000 They drift through the universe, pushed on by the solar winds.
00:01:05.220 They adapt, and they survive.
00:01:09.420 The function of all life is survival.
00:01:13.760 Sleep.
00:01:15.460 Sleep.
00:01:17.460 Sleep.
00:01:18.840 From deep space,
00:01:20.340 sleep.
00:01:21.660 Sleep.
00:01:22.080 The seed is planted.
00:01:23.560 Sleep.
00:01:24.000 Sleep.
00:01:25.520 Sleep.
00:01:26.600 Terror grows.
00:01:28.300 Sleep.
00:01:29.360 Matthew!
00:01:30.800 Matthew!
00:01:31.240 Matthew!
00:01:31.300 Now, as the title implies, the film's plot revolves around the replacement of people.
00:01:36.960 When the alien life forms take over a person, they look exactly like their former human selves.
00:01:42.380 But appearances can be deceiving, because while the body-snatched victim may appear to be a genuine member of Homo sapiens,
00:01:50.900 they have been reduced to a mere Xerox copy.
00:01:54.580 Their DNA is now 100% alien as opposed to human.
00:01:58.580 And so the conquest of the world begins one body-snatched victim at a time.
00:02:06.240 Now, I was reminiscing about this fantastic, albeit frightening, flick, because lately I've been pondering who is responsible for the body-snatching of Premier Doug Ford.
00:02:17.500 Oh, to be clear, I'm not saying that this man has been transformed into a plant-based alien.
00:02:24.500 Rather, he seems to be resembling something far worse.
00:02:28.720 He's a liberal now, or at least some hybrid that resembles a liberal.
00:02:33.720 Just check out how much time he's spending these days with his best new boyfriend, Justin Trudeau.
00:02:40.680 Indeed, this uncanny transformation over four years has been quite something to witness.
00:02:46.060 How did Doug Ford, the king of Ford Nation, morph into the prince of cancel culture,
00:02:53.160 a leader who now resembles a liberal lackey as opposed to a genuine conservative?
00:02:58.560 How did a man who ran the 2018 election with slogans such as,
00:03:04.000 For the people and Ontario open for business,
00:03:07.980 decide to screw the people of Ontario and shutter so many businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic?
00:03:14.460 Oh, unless, of course, you were part of the chosen few,
00:03:18.140 such as Walmart and Costco and the provincially-owned Liquor Control Board of Ontario,
00:03:23.620 and, of course, the Ford family-owned Deco Labels,
00:03:27.120 an enterprise, I understand, from the scuttlebutt where business has never been better.
00:03:33.280 Yet, be it lockdowns or vaccine apartheid,
00:03:36.720 Ford has resembled less a leader and more of a certain pop culture marine mammal.
00:03:42.800 Yeah, in the past two years, especially,
00:03:55.680 Doug Ford has done so many backflips on policy
00:03:58.740 that it would make Olympic gold medal gymnast Nadia Cominenci blush.
00:04:04.060 Meanwhile, Queen's Park has resembled that place in the song,
00:04:07.840 Home on the Range,
00:04:08.780 you know, where seldom is heard a discouraging word.
00:04:12.840 That's because if you happen to be a PCMPP with a contrarian viewpoint,
00:04:18.360 especially when it comes to lockdowns and mandatory vaccines,
00:04:22.560 well, you are removed from caucus,
00:04:25.240 just as Belinda Karajalios and Roman Baber and Randy Hillier and Rick Nichols,
00:04:32.180 and the list goes on.
00:04:34.860 And what of the tens of thousands of former members of Ford Nation?
00:04:40.180 I say former because in 2020,
00:04:43.600 Ford referred to these supporters as a, quote,
00:04:48.220 a bunch of yahoos, end quote.
00:04:51.160 Yahoos, eh?
00:04:52.620 Simply because they were protesting on the lawns of Queen's Park.
00:04:55.940 Simply because these people were losing their jobs and their businesses
00:05:00.980 and their livelihoods,
00:05:02.900 all in the name of some doomed cockamamie scheme
00:05:06.020 to reduce the transmission of the coronavirus.
00:05:09.440 You know, many observers likened the bunch of yahoo statement
00:05:14.000 to Hillary Clinton's basket of deplorables comment.
00:05:18.600 But I say no.
00:05:20.420 Ford's slur was far, far worse than what Ms. Clinton had to say.
00:05:24.380 You see, Hillary was targeting the enemy, i.e. Trump supporters.
00:05:29.440 Doug was aiming his gun at his home base.
00:05:33.500 Unbelievable.
00:05:34.940 But earlier this month, there was another indication
00:05:38.200 that Doug Ford is more closely resembling Doug fraud these days.
00:05:44.340 Namely, we went to the 2022 Ford Nation election kickoff event
00:05:48.740 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
00:05:50.920 Now, for context,
00:05:51.900 I've been attending Ford Nation events for some 15 years now.
00:05:55.800 I'm typically warmly welcomed.
00:05:58.800 Oh, but not this time.
00:06:00.380 I was declared journalist non-grata
00:06:02.540 by Ford spokeswoman Ivana Yelich.
00:06:05.980 Check out the video evidence.
00:06:07.560 You said that.
00:06:08.600 I understand.
00:06:09.380 Why?
00:06:09.460 You can't ask me to leave now.
00:06:10.380 Why?
00:06:10.920 Zach?
00:06:11.900 Why is that?
00:06:13.240 Because we're not giving you accreditation to this event.
00:06:15.040 Oh, and incredibly, the Toronto Sun's Joe Warmington was also denied entry.
00:06:20.880 This was spectacular, given that the Scrawler is perhaps the best city columnist in Canada,
00:06:26.980 and no mainstream media journalist in the past two decades has been more fair to the Ford family
00:06:34.500 than Joe Warmington.
00:06:35.820 And even worse, both Joe and I were not given reasons for our expulsion.
00:06:41.880 Is that too much to ask?
00:06:43.920 Well, apparently, yes.
00:06:46.200 Meanwhile, the PC party rolled out the red carpet for such MSM vipers as the Toronto Star and the CBC.
00:06:53.560 Was it only a decade ago when Doug Ford and his dearly departed brother, the late, great Rob Ford,
00:07:01.740 would refer to the Toronto Star as, quote, a bunch of maggots, end quote?
00:07:06.960 Well, that was then, and this is now, because not only is Dougie on great terms with the Toronto Star,
00:07:13.560 but he even gave this failing rag a half-billion-dollar lifeline to stay afloat.
00:07:19.400 Check out this public service announcement, courtesy of the new Blue Party.
00:07:24.720 Did you know the Toronto Star got the first licence in Ontario to make an online casino?
00:07:34.800 Why would Ontario let liberal and left-wing establishment media, like the Toronto Star,
00:07:41.500 suck $500 million out of the pockets of Ontario families?
00:07:46.200 Will Doug Ford defund the Toronto Star?
00:07:50.440 No, because Doug Ford approved this liberal jackpot.
00:07:57.580 Doug Ford gave a $500 million online gambling licence,
00:08:03.420 the first of its kind in Ontario, to the Toronto Star.
00:08:08.200 Gee, Premier, what was the unspoken quid pro quo behind that deal,
00:08:13.180 that the Toronto Star will give you favourable press coverage during the current election campaign?
00:08:19.500 Was that it?
00:08:20.300 If so, I hope you got that deal in writing,
00:08:22.900 because expect to be backstabbed the nanosecond the Toronto Star and company
00:08:29.500 dig up some dirt on you or your family or your party.
00:08:33.760 Oh, by the way, I would be remiss in mentioning that while Joe Warmington and I were given the bums rush
00:08:40.720 at the Ford Nation event, the same could not be said of the Toronto Suns' Brian Lilly.
00:08:46.780 No, Ivana Yellich welcomed Brian with open arms, given that she is Lilly's mistress.
00:08:54.760 Not only is this a blatant conflict of interest, it is, to the best of my knowledge, an undeclared conflict of interest.
00:09:04.440 How can the guy covering Queen's Park be engaged in a horizontal jogging position
00:09:09.740 with the woman who is the Premier's spoke-singy?
00:09:13.400 Well, at least we now know how Lilly gets those scoops regarding affairs at Queen's Park.
00:09:19.100 It's simply a matter of pillow talk.
00:09:22.660 What a sordid disgrace.
00:09:25.140 But back to the de-evolution of Doug Ford.
00:09:28.800 The question is this, as Fred Willard used to say,
00:09:32.340 Hey, what happened?
00:09:33.960 Yeah, what the hell happened?
00:09:37.060 Well, I think Doug Ford is a weakling.
00:09:40.880 I think he got seduced by power, or at least the power brokers seduced him.
00:09:45.840 He sure as hell is not Rob Ford.
00:09:49.100 Doug, like Rob, once despised the elites, now he gushes over them.
00:09:54.480 He once had nothing good to say about members of the mainstream media, and now he adores them.
00:10:00.880 He's forgone his grassroots friends and supporters.
00:10:04.660 They're chump change now, as opposed to forces of nature that got Ford into the position of Premier in the first place.
00:10:12.560 And how odd that given the reception we received at the Fordation event,
00:10:18.520 that Rebel News is about as welcome as poison ivy at a nudist colony.
00:10:23.280 After all, Doug was a featured guest speaker at a Rebel Live event some five years ago.
00:10:30.000 And check this out.
00:10:31.380 Here is Doug Ford at Rebel News headquarters back in September 2017, being interviewed by yours truly.
00:10:38.680 He's back.
00:10:39.560 I'm in the studio with Doug Ford, who earlier this month announced at FordFest, the big family barbecue in Etobicoke,
00:10:47.960 that he is indeed going to run for mayor in 2018.
00:10:53.140 Doug, welcome to the show.
00:10:54.580 Well, thanks for having me on.
00:10:55.500 Fantastic.
00:10:56.180 Thank you.
00:10:56.440 Now, Doug, obviously the first question is, what prompted your decision to run for mayor?
00:11:02.680 Well, really what we've seen going on in the city here, David, if it's all John Tory's broken promises,
00:11:11.200 be it he said he was going to outsource the garbage east of Yonge, he hasn't outsourced it.
00:11:16.320 He wasn't able to do it.
00:11:17.400 He said he'd keep the taxes low.
00:11:20.000 Taxes have gone up exponentially.
00:11:22.060 You look at the traffic in the city, the smart track is dead.
00:11:28.180 That was his big transit master plan.
00:11:30.200 He'd get the city going.
00:11:31.820 We have the worst traffic in North America.
00:11:33.940 It's gridlock right across the city.
00:11:37.560 And the sole source deals are happening at a rapid fashion.
00:11:41.460 He spent over a billion dollars more a year, and that breaks down to $1,000 per household
00:11:46.860 that he's spending of the taxpayers' money.
00:11:50.080 I'm always a believer, David, that the taxpayer can spend it a lot wiser than the government.
00:11:56.500 So these are just a few things that the people of Toronto are looking for a principled leader
00:12:03.560 to make a decision and move forward on that decision.
00:12:06.860 That doesn't happen under John Tory.
00:12:08.520 So I imagine you're going to emulate what your brother stood for.
00:12:12.320 I thought one of the greatest electioneering slogans of all time, respect for taxpayers.
00:12:20.240 You want to derail the gravy train, which seems to be, from what you're saying, is back on the rails at City Hall.
00:12:25.280 Oh, it's going full steam down the tracks right now.
00:12:27.540 All the budgets are up.
00:12:29.660 The reserves are all depleted.
00:12:31.700 They're facing $300 million, a big hole, at the end of this budget cycle.
00:12:39.020 So he has no choice but to raise taxes or play the shell game and shuffle money around.
00:12:44.160 But the city's in a real financial disaster right now.
00:12:49.380 Now, Doug, going back to 2014, John Tory prevailed with 40% of the vote.
00:12:54.780 You finished a very respectable second place with 33.7%.
00:12:59.200 What makes you think the results would be any different in 2018?
00:13:05.080 Well, I just asked people that voted for Rob, and there was 15% that didn't vote for me the second time around.
00:13:13.220 But I love speaking to those people and asking them one simple question.
00:13:17.520 And I ask the media, and I ask anyone out there, what has John Tory done?
00:13:21.420 He's done absolutely nothing.
00:13:23.100 No one can come up with anything other than he's towed a few cars.
00:13:28.040 And that's his platform, and we're just going to hold him to account.
00:13:34.900 So it's been a matter of lunchbag letdown.
00:13:37.020 They saw John Tory as a saviour, but his actions have proved otherwise.
00:13:41.540 Well, again, I ask the simple question.
00:13:44.020 Is every single person that voted for John Tory last time going to vote for him this time?
00:13:48.500 The answer is overwhelmingly no, they are.
00:13:50.560 He's going to have some people, but we're going to chip away at him.
00:13:55.580 And I always say we have no place but to go up, and he has no place but to go downhill.
00:14:01.160 And he's going to go downhill quicker than the Canadian bobsled team.
00:14:05.180 That's pretty quick.
00:14:06.080 But I imagine, Doug, the big X factor here is if there is a strong candidate from the left that will run in the next election.
00:14:17.300 I mean, we had that with Olivia Chow, although I thought she ran a very weak campaign.
00:14:22.140 But do you have any indication that there might be another high-profile left-of-center candidate that's running?
00:14:31.740 Because I would imagine that would hurt Tory and help you.
00:14:35.260 Yeah, I always define the left in two categories.
00:14:37.660 There's the left, as I say, a little too far left.
00:14:41.880 And be it the passionate environmentalists, they're jumping up and down with the signs, the tree huggers and the protesters.
00:14:50.720 And then there's the front-line, hard-working union member that traditionally may vote NDP.
00:14:59.320 But we have their support.
00:15:00.640 John Tory does not have their support.
00:15:02.760 So it's kind of split into two categories there.
00:15:05.260 But it doesn't bother me.
00:15:07.160 If the left's in, if the left's out, I'm going to hold them to account.
00:15:10.380 Folks, not only was that a cordial interview, but upon its conclusion, Doug actually pitched a weekly Rebel News show, Ford Nation.
00:15:21.980 The signs were to be red, white, and blue, his choosing.
00:15:24.860 And I was going to be the host.
00:15:26.900 But that was when Premier Ford was simply Doug Ford, a man who was running for mayor of Toronto.
00:15:35.380 The PC Palace coup involving the ouster of Arena slash Beaver inspector Patrick Brown would not occur until January 2018.
00:15:44.880 In any event, days turned into weeks as I contacted Doug, asking him when we were going to launch the inaugural Ford Nation show.
00:15:53.880 My emails and my texts and my voicemails went unreturned.
00:15:58.740 I finally caught up with Doug in November of that year at a press conference.
00:16:03.700 I apologize for nagging him for the past two months, but we had to know when are we going to launch this show.
00:16:10.180 And that's when I got a very early indicator as to what sort of a leader Doug Ford is or was going to become.
00:16:19.240 Which is to say, Doug told me, if we're up to him, we'd film that first episode tomorrow.
00:16:26.740 But then he said, you see, Dave, it's the team.
00:16:30.920 The team, Dave, the team has other ideas.
00:16:34.420 And the team strategy does not include a weekly Rebel News show.
00:16:38.480 So even before Doug was a candidate for the PC leadership, he had already been co-opted by the team, whoever the hell these puppet masters are.
00:16:52.120 So in retrospect, it should come as no surprise, really, that the 2022 vintage of Doug Ford barely resembles the 2017 version.
00:17:03.320 Doug Ford has effectively been body snatched.
00:17:06.400 The patriarch of Ford nation, the common man who drives a common van, has been replaced, not by an alien species, mind you, but by those nebulous backroom boys who obviously think the key to being a successful progressive conservative is to be, well, more progressive than conservative, to be more liberal, in fact.
00:17:34.020 I can't see the difference.
00:17:35.520 Oh, and by the way, guys, kindly ask Aaron O'Toole how that idiotic strategy worked out for him.
00:17:43.900 In the final analysis, unlike the 1955 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, there was no due rigueur Hollywood happy ending for the 78 reboot.
00:17:54.320 In case you haven't seen this flick, and spoiler alert, folks, the movie ends with the beginning of humanity's extinction event.
00:18:03.660 The residents of San Francisco have all been replaced with other life forms.
00:18:08.900 Sure, they look like members of Homo sapiens, but they're not, as they go about planning a conquest of not just one city, but of the entire planet.
00:18:18.200 It's a sad, somber ending.
00:18:20.860 I just wonder if such an ending is in the cards for the governing PC party come Election Day, just two weeks away.
00:18:30.120 What we are very proud of now is the young generation, like Prime Minister Trudeau, President of Argentina, and so on, that we penetrate the cabinets.
00:18:47.900 So, yesterday, I was at a reception for Prime Minister Trudeau, and I know that half of this cabinet, or even more half of this cabinet, are actually young global leaders of the World Economic Forum.
00:19:08.860 Well, how do you like that, folks?
00:19:09.960 Of course, the World Economic Forum is about to have its annual meeting in Davos kicking off this Sunday, May the 22nd.
00:19:17.980 And, of course, Rebel News is sending an all-star team of journalists to cover the WEF annual meeting.
00:19:25.660 And leading up that team, well, is an all-star to be sure.
00:19:30.300 That would be our wonder from down under, Avi Yamini, and he joins me now.
00:19:34.420 How are you doing there, Avi?
00:19:36.440 G'day, David.
00:19:38.880 Thank you for that.
00:19:39.960 The questions now get tougher, Avi.
00:19:43.900 Now, I understand you're about an hour away from Davos as we speak, but, you know, we can't help think of the term, the Great Reset, when we talk about the WEF, Avi.
00:19:57.420 And I'm just curious, how do you define the Great Reset?
00:20:05.560 I'll probably define it the way they define it.
00:20:08.120 Building back better.
00:20:09.340 Is that not it?
00:20:11.040 Starting from scratch for everyone else but them.
00:20:15.220 A bit like the concept of you'll own nothing and you'll be happy.
00:20:19.700 So it'll be interesting to see what actually plays out here over the next week.
00:20:23.680 And, you know, Avi, that is the catchphrase, of course.
00:20:27.520 I can't help but feel that with the events of the last two years around the world, and especially so in Australia and Canada, I would argue, it kind of feels like we're living in the Great Reset.
00:20:41.200 But so many people have been thrown out of work.
00:20:44.420 So many businesses have gone under.
00:20:47.580 So many rights and freedoms have been eclipsed.
00:20:51.420 I mean, geez, if this isn't already the Great Reset, I'd hate to see the Great Reset that the WEF has in mind.
00:20:59.080 I don't know, Menzies.
00:21:00.960 I think it's all going to plan just perfectly, and that's why it's so important that we come here and tell the other side of the story from here, from Switzerland, because we can't rely on the mainstream media, not the taxpayer-funded media, not in Canada, not certainly in Australia.
00:21:18.000 So we've trekked down here.
00:21:21.000 We're about, I think we're about almost three days into travelling.
00:21:25.140 We've just arrived here an hour from Davos not long ago, in the middle of nowhere.
00:21:32.660 But we're ready to get to work and present the other side of the story, show people what the plan really is for the rest of the world.
00:21:40.680 I think it's, interestingly enough, walking around here in Switzerland where you wouldn't even know COVID exists, the rest of the world has been, like Australia, I know, has been suffering under some of the guidelines and the rules and the restrictions and the ideas that have come out of the World Economic Forum and the WHO, both which are here now in a place that doesn't really have any sort of COVID restrictions at the moment.
00:22:07.840 So it's another case of putting it upon everyone else whilst not having to live through it yourself.
00:22:17.000 So over the next week, there's, I think, five or six of us here.
00:22:21.660 Watch this space.
00:22:23.500 Well, Avi, I'm so happy that you didn't have to make one of your transfers at Pearson International in Toronto because you'd think you were in the thick of COVID with all the lineups, the random testing, the questionnaires.
00:22:35.740 Of course, it is out of control.
00:22:37.860 But of course, according to Prime Minister Trudeau and our Transportation Minister, it's our fault, even though travel capacity is only 70% of what it was in 2019.
00:22:48.100 But that's a topic for another story.
00:22:50.660 You know, Avi, I'm very curious.
00:22:52.660 I've never covered a WEF meeting.
00:22:55.320 I don't think you have before.
00:22:57.220 But what exactly do WEF members discuss at a WEF annual meeting?
00:23:05.500 In other words, do you know what is on the agenda and what's up for discussion come Sunday?
00:23:12.040 Well, we know with the WHO, which is also holding at the same time the meeting about the pandemic treaty, where they essentially want to control the rest of the world.
00:23:21.440 And because they, you know, they did such a great job of getting everything right at every step of the way during COVID.
00:23:27.840 So now they want to ensure that next time we absolutely listen to everything they say and there's no way out of it.
00:23:34.360 They want to override, you know, each country's constitutions and local laws.
00:23:40.620 But I guess it's a similar thing you're going to see out of the WEF.
00:23:45.280 They want to control the world.
00:23:47.140 They want to control everyone else.
00:23:48.720 And these are people on any issue, whether it's COVID, whether it's climate change.
00:23:53.460 You're going to see them come from around the world in their private jets, in their limousines, to preach to us how we must all live and dictate to us how we're going to live from now on.
00:24:06.480 And countries around the world, including Australia, the prime minister, we've got an election this week and come next week.
00:24:12.840 It doesn't matter which side of politics.
00:24:14.680 They're going to sign up to whatever garbage is going to come out of Switzerland next week, whether it's in the WEF or from the WHO.
00:24:23.900 You know, Avi, you raise an interesting point in terms of the members.
00:24:27.840 I'm wondering, you know, if you go back a couple of years, we saw what happened with the U.K. vis-a-vis the European Union, Brexit, which was a laughable concept in the beginning, or so the elites thought, became reality.
00:24:44.540 And the U.K. divorced itself from the economic union.
00:24:48.400 And I'm wondering, are there any countries right now that are part of the WEF that are having maybe buyer's remorse and saying, you know what, the direction this organization is going, it isn't what we signed up for.
00:25:03.780 And maybe it's time to make our exit as well.
00:25:07.940 I think the WEF has gotten away with immunity for so long because there hasn't been a real light shone upon it, which is what we're hoping to do next week here.
00:25:24.780 I think until now, there's not been much scrutiny, so there's not much political will or at least public outrage at what they are dictating to us.
00:25:35.500 I think we are going to see what you're talking about more with the WHO in a more immediate future, especially, you know, we're going to see countries or at least populations talk about leaving the WHO, the U.N.
00:25:51.600 And that's the thing, we're all member states of the WHO, the WEF is a little bit differently how it operates, it's more of a private exclusive club that every prime minister and every president and of every persuasion seems to want to be a member of on a personal level and have a platform there.
00:26:10.760 The WHO, though, as each country, we're all members of it, and now they want to up the ante with regards to that membership.
00:26:22.180 I'm hoping that next week we see with Australia specifically that that balance of power in the election is shifted to freedom-focused independence,
00:26:33.420 and we've been covering a lot of that in Australia over the past few weeks with our special AusDecides.com project.
00:26:42.780 But we've seen that there is a shift, and a lot of those candidates have talked about exiting the WHO or even the U.N.
00:26:52.580 So it will be interesting with regards to Australia, I'm hoping, is a start of something that shifts away from that globalist-controlling, elitist-controlling kind of structure we've grown into in the last two years suffering with, the consequences of that.
00:27:15.980 A hundred percent, Avi, and I've got to tell you, I mean, when it comes to the mainstream media, it seems to me that they either turn a blind eye to WEF shenanigans,
00:27:25.440 or they actually serve as outright cheerleaders for this organization.
00:27:30.140 That won't be the case with you and other members of Team Rebel News.
00:27:35.140 I'm sure you're going to ask some prickly, perhaps impolite questions if you do indeed get the chance to do so.
00:27:42.520 So I'm just wondering what your reception is going to be like, because it's certainly not going to be a love-in, a la so many members of the mainstream media, is it now?
00:27:54.180 Well, just like I said a moment ago, you know, it's not only political figures and presidents and prime ministers that seem to want membership to this exclusive club.
00:28:04.680 It's also the mainstream media, and it's the owners of those networks, and as you know, I don't think Ezra's trying to join the WEF.
00:28:14.880 He just wants to get to the bottom of it.
00:28:16.400 And when we say prickly questions, we're just going to ask what the average Joe wants to know.
00:28:22.340 You know, these people are telling us how we should lead our lives with regards to everything.
00:28:32.740 I think that the questions that we ask, it might make them feel uncomfortable, but I guarantee you, I feel quite comfortable asking it.
00:28:40.620 Fantastic. Well, Abby, we're running out of time, so an exit question.
00:28:43.660 If you were to get the ear of Klaus Schwab, what question would you ask him, my friend?
00:28:49.660 What he owns, and whether he's willing to give it up to me.
00:28:54.800 Well, I think that's when...
00:28:56.340 I just want to make him happy.
00:28:58.380 I think that's when Klaus Schwab turns into Sargent Schultz and does the I know nothing, I saw nothing routine.
00:29:09.200 Well, Abby, it's great that you're down there.
00:29:12.120 I know you're going to do just an excellent job.
00:29:15.600 Be safe while you're there, and I look forward to the reports.
00:29:19.660 From you and our other members, thank you so much for joining me today.
00:29:23.380 Thank you, brother, and thank you to all the viewers that are supporting this campaign.
00:29:27.040 It's really important.
00:29:28.000 We couldn't do it without you guys.
00:29:30.280 I'm just going to go ahead off to sleep.
00:29:31.920 I apologize if I made zero sense.
00:29:34.960 Well, hopefully I didn't put you to sleep, Abby.
00:29:37.920 There you go.
00:29:38.940 And that was Abby Amini somewhere near Davos.
00:29:42.940 He said the middle of nowhere.
00:29:44.380 Maybe that's for security reasons, but keep it tuned to Rebel News, folks.
00:29:49.040 Abby and company are going to tell you what's what and who's who in the WEF zoo in the days ahead.
00:29:56.640 Keep it here.
00:29:57.180 More of the Ezra Levent show to come right after this.
00:29:59.880 Well, folks, we got plenty of response to Ezra's monologue on the debate that happened on Monday in Toronto regarding the Ontario election.
00:30:20.400 Gary Hansen writes,
00:30:21.940 You know, I agree with you.
00:30:29.600 I hated the debate.
00:30:31.220 There was so much over-talking, even though there was a silencer button, but I don't think it was ever used.
00:30:38.160 I think people just tuned out.
00:30:40.500 Maybe people are going to tune out of the election as well.
00:30:43.800 After all, who do you vote for?
00:30:46.540 Don Martin writes,
00:30:47.780 They all look like poorly programmed robots, especially Schreiner.
00:30:53.220 Well, that would be the Green Party leader.
00:30:55.180 And again, I wonder what is the choice for the people of Ontario, especially those who want to vote conservative.
00:31:04.460 As I mentioned in my monologue, I think that ship has sailed.
00:31:07.820 You know, it reminds me of the tagline, folks, of the movie Aliens vs. Predator, which was this.
00:31:14.780 No matter who wins, we lose.
00:31:17.780 Well, folks, that wraps up another edition of the Ezra Levent Show.
00:31:21.600 The big boss man, Ezra, he'll be back tomorrow night for his show.
00:31:26.420 In the meantime, keep fighting for freedom.
00:31:29.680 Adam Sos here for Revel News.
00:31:31.220 And we're here in downtown Calgary for a protest in response to the leaking of a decision from the United States Supreme Court on Roe v. Wade.
00:31:40.740 Now, this decision, which has not yet been released, would effectively overturn Roe v. Wade and return authority and regulation of abortion back to the states.
00:31:49.940 Many consider Roe v. Wade to be a landmark case on abortion rights and have therefore, across the United States, very often with an intent to intimidate judges, and now here in Calgary, gathered to stand up for what they believe is their fundamental right to abortion.
00:32:03.360 If you don't know how to pronounce your local Indigenous nation's name, we won't say your story of origin, acknowledged stolen lands, imposed economic oppression.
00:32:15.020 Well, we attempted to speak to some of the organizers and some of the people here to get their side of the story on this pro-abortion protest.
00:32:22.060 Unfortunately, there's been a bit of a concerted effort among the organizers and some of the people here to tell people not to speak to us.
00:32:27.920 Those people are very happy to speak to the mainstream media, of course, but unfortunately, we aren't going to be able to get that side of the story.
00:32:33.960 And unlike the March for Life, we've not seen a counter-protest contingent here, so we're unable to speak to those people as well.
00:32:39.620 So a little bit of a short and quiet day, it seems.
00:32:42.180 We're going to hang around and capture the content, capture some people's speeches, and then we'll make our way out of here.
00:32:47.200 I acknowledge them regularly and say, I love you.
00:32:51.700 I will meet you somewhere.
00:32:55.600 But you didn't get to live to 150 years old or 100 years old or 80 years old.
00:33:00.180 You didn't even get to see air.
00:33:02.980 And that was what was best for them and for me.
00:33:10.340 And if we believe that souls will come to this earth whenever they need to, I'm going to meet that person.
00:33:18.840 And they know that I love them.
00:33:21.460 And I could not take care of them.
00:33:25.260 And I wish that I could, but I could not.
00:33:29.420 And that is not my moral failure.
00:33:31.160 Because, at the end of the day, a government that cares about babies doesn't de-index the child tax benefit that cut child poverty in Calgary.
00:33:42.980 So no lack of action in downtown Calgary today.
00:33:46.100 The pro-choice, pro-abortion protest that's taking place was actually originally intended to take place at City Hall.
00:33:51.580 But there was already a pro-Palestinian protest, which you can see behind me, taking place.
00:33:55.020 So they decided to move over to Olympic Plaza today.
00:33:57.660 Well, there's certainly a great amount of attention paid by the pro-abortion, pro-choice rally taking place to street church here.
00:34:03.880 Perhaps they're under the impression that there's a counter-protest going on, but that's simply not the case.
00:34:08.340 This is part of Pastor Artur Provolowski's street ministry.
00:34:11.380 And they gather here several times a week in order to feed Calgary's unhoused communities.
00:34:16.020 We heard frequent allegations, implications that Christians or pro-lifers simply don't care about people after they're born.
00:34:22.280 But what we're seeing here is a witness to the contrary, this church community here feeding people who need to be fed.
00:34:29.100 You know, Christian message is always and always have been about life.
00:34:33.960 From the moment of conception, either you are strong and on a high rise or you are on the streets.
00:34:41.100 We are right there, right here.
00:34:42.980 Where you can see about 100, 150 people in a lineup and that is going on three times a week.
00:34:50.120 So we are here regardless and we will always take care of those less fortunate.
00:34:56.980 My friend, without these people, we cannot do nothing much.
00:35:01.880 Honestly, they give you food.
00:35:04.880 They give you everything.
00:35:06.360 I don't know why people are complaining about them.
00:35:11.040 They help you.
00:35:13.500 Is that too much to ask?
00:35:14.780 They help.
00:35:17.040 Look at me.
00:35:18.100 I'm on the street here.
00:35:20.860 Maybe this is going to be my best food I will eat for the next one week.
00:35:29.160 So you don't agree with the people over there saying they're bad guys and they're not nice?
00:35:33.760 It's a free country.
00:35:38.720 They might have their own opinion.
00:35:42.660 They have their own opinion.
00:35:45.900 But you know, even if you are twin brothers, you're not going to agree on everything.
00:35:53.840 I don't think so.
00:35:55.640 That would be utopia.
00:35:58.860 Everybody disagrees.
00:36:00.380 So now they're there and these are here.
00:36:04.120 But these ones, I know they give me food if I got no food.
00:36:08.540 Well, this pro-abortion, pro-choice rally in Calgary is wrapping up.
00:36:13.340 As you can hear behind me, there were a couple of notable figures here, including an NDP MLA,
00:36:18.620 as well as a Calgary City Councillor Giancarlo Cara and Calgary Mayor Gioti Gondek.
00:36:23.800 They all spoke in support of this event.
00:36:26.620 We were happy to be here to cover this story and bring some different perspectives on this tense issue within society right now.
00:36:32.780 As always, I want to thank you all so much for tuning in.
00:36:35.060 For Rebel News, I'm Adam Slaus.
