Transcript

00:00:00.000 tonight the truckers convoy changes Canadian politics whether the
00:00:19.500 establishment likes it or not it's January 31st and this is the Ezra LeVant
00:00:24.600 show why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know
00:00:30.480 there's 8,500 customers I'm standing on Parliament Hill we can't get any closer to
00:00:49.860 the actual building it's still under renovations the giant lawn outside
00:00:54.720 Parliament Hill is therefore halfway cut off but as you can see behind me there
00:00:59.640 are thousands of convoy truckers who have come to this city it's already Sunday
00:01:05.880 I'm filming this for my Monday show it's about minus 20 degrees so it's
00:01:10.920 incredible how many people are here I thought I would film my monologue from
00:01:15.060 the fields on Parliament Hill rather than from the studio instead of a script
00:01:20.220 where I write things out in advance I've just got some notes so forgive me if
00:01:23.760 I'm not quite as fluent as I sometimes am I want to tell you my impressions and my
00:01:29.580 observations and what I think you might have seen if you were following the
00:01:34.060 story from home I think the first thing to say is I believe we may have witnessed
00:01:39.540 the largest political protest in Canadian history now I don't think we'll
00:01:44.100 actually ever know for sure because I don't think we can actually trust the
00:01:48.480 authorities who usually make such counts we also saw that those same
00:01:53.340 authorities took active steps to make it hard for us to get the facts for
00:01:57.300 example they closed down bridges and entire highways in advance of the convoy
00:02:03.660 coming to make it hard for them to come look at this tweet from the Ottawa police
00:02:08.040 simply declaring that the city was full and no one was allowed to enter it while
00:02:14.280 there were thousands of trucks on the way I don't know how many people set out
00:02:19.440 join the convoy for a part and then broke away to go back home but across the
00:02:24.840 country the number of people who were at least on part of the routes and the
00:02:29.800 number of the people who came out to cheer on the truckers from overpasses or the
00:02:34.440 side of the road probably was in the hundreds of thousands not sure if all goes
00:02:39.780 far as saying a million but it was definitely in the hundreds of thousands
00:02:43.620 the closest thing I can think of in terms of a mass gathering would have been the
00:02:49.440 giant protests or rally in Montreal in 1995 I believe it was when Quebec was on
00:02:56.820 the eve of a separatist referendum the difference though is that one was
00:03:01.420 financed and organized by the establishment by the government by
00:03:06.100 political parties this truckers convoy is the opposite every political party
00:03:12.040 every establishment every media denounced it and still they came I want to tell
00:03:18.700 you what I saw versus what the government narrative was I saw people who had
00:03:24.220 never been to a political protest in their life never been in a political
00:03:28.240 party this was the first time they ever did anything in the public sphere and
00:03:33.280 what's so interesting is to see how hopeful they were I haven't seen this many
00:03:38.080 Canadian flags in one place in years I heard people spontaneously singing Oh Canada
00:03:46.600 like walking down the street singing Oh Canada I I don't know if I've ever seen
00:03:51.340 that and people are so hopeful they're having fun it's so cold I can't tell you how cold it's been
00:04:00.020 but people were out dancing till after midnight you can hear the symphony of horns they did not stop I
00:04:08.660 don't know I went to bed around 1 30 last night the horns did not stop I just had to sort of put them
00:04:13.900 out of my mind a lot of people were first-timers and so obviously if they
00:04:21.280 would have voted in the past especially in 2015 they would absolutely have been
00:04:28.120 Justin Trudeau voters absolutely the number of young women the number of
00:04:32.920 indigenous people the number of Sikh people here those used to be considered
00:04:37.520 Justin Trudeau's base it's quite something to see Millennials absolutely seeing through Trudeau and
00:04:45.620 it's even more amazing to see minorities who were told don't go on that racist convoy to go and to
00:04:52.620 defend it here's my favorite clip of the weekend when my friend Lincoln Jay interviewed some Antifa
00:04:58.040 protester calling everyone racist and then a man who I I presume he was Sikh I don't know maybe he was
00:05:04.420 some other minority said no let me handle this one mate take a look at this what did it say sorry
00:05:11.000 so it says F your white nationalist agenda I am not a white this is nothing to do about white
00:05:22.300 this is nothing to do with truckers this is about freedom for all of Canadians you can be brown black
00:05:28.520 white blue whatever color you want to be this is about freedom and Trudeau has no right to put
00:05:34.400 us in this condition or mandates throughout the country children going to school it's a terrible
00:05:40.140 thing to do wasn't that guy great he just happened to be there there are so many one of the reasons is
00:05:47.220 that the trucking industry has so many minorities in it including for whatever reason a lot of Sikhs
00:05:53.960 and I discovered a tremendous number of Sikh freedom activists who are so eloquent here's one of my
00:06:00.560 favorite guys I follow him on tiktok now again that used to be a place dominated by the Trudeau side
00:06:06.800 take a look at this guy you know what was the vibe over there in Ottawa today it's like
00:06:13.400 freedom over fear love over hate freedom over fear love over hate unity freedom unity freedom
00:06:26.880 this is the vibe was there man and make your slogans and do it good goal all the way in and I I don't
00:06:36.960 know if I'm gonna sleep tonight if I'm sleeping on the end of my dreams I'm gonna be in the Ottawa right
00:06:42.900 so see you guys in the dream all right good night I love that guy and did you know there's something
00:06:48.800 called the Sikh freedom alliance I didn't know about it now I do and now you do take a look
00:06:55.540 hello everybody Sikh freedom alliance here and we are very close to Ottawa now and I want to speak
00:07:00.640 something before we get there truth and freedom has no race or color and Sikhs are brought up to
00:07:06.680 expose oppression and fight tyranny and and I want to say something if somebody wants to go take a vaccine
00:07:12.960 they can go take a vaccine but don't force it don't force it on any anybody and Trudeau and
00:07:19.360 Jagmeet is calling us everybody here terrorists they are the real terrorists and we don't agree with them
00:07:24.940 let's go
00:07:25.540 now I'm not emphasizing these people because they're Sikh or black or indigenous I don't think I would normally
00:07:38.680 mention that maybe in passing but I mention it because one of the chief arguments against this
00:07:44.360 rally the chief slanders is that it's somehow some racist white nationalist thing it's simply not the
00:07:51.160 case here's a clip from some antifa type some woke person who was standing quietly at the side of the
00:07:57.560 road I actually went up to they them and asked why do you think this is some white supremacist thing I
00:08:04.120 just want to play a clip for you what they said uh pretty weak stuff take a look well there are some
00:08:09.960 people here who don't agree uh with the protesters uh they're a counter-protest so I thought I'd ask them
00:08:17.560 what they uh what their point of view is you can see their sign the convoy organizers are white
00:08:24.760 nationalists the conduit to attention to far-right groups you're privileged in their supporters if that
00:08:30.600 doesn't disturb you um on what basis are you saying that they're white nationalists I've seen
00:08:38.760 a number of folks who are visible minorities Sikhs a lot of Sikh truckers on what basis are you saying
00:08:45.240 they're racist I'm saying the organizers so Tamara Tamara Litz and Pat Kane are behind this
00:08:54.280 he's been promoting the trunk convoy and tomorrow tomorrow Litz had um funded it
00:09:05.880 can I ask you because I I know a little bit about Tamara Litz she's a Métis woman so she's she's
00:09:13.240 indigenous yeah how can she be a white nationalist if she's actually aboriginal so white nationalism
00:09:20.280 is an ideology it doesn't belong to one race it's just talking about the white power that you say
00:09:24.440 that they have in society so do you think that as a Nancy woman she's actually a white a white nationalist
00:09:32.840 who isn't white I'd say that she I say that she is because she's had ties to the yellow the yellow vests
00:09:41.880 they them realized that that was pretty stupid but the cbc the ctv the mainstream media the
00:09:49.000 they've been absolutely unhinged you think I'm kidding here is an actual cbc anchor get this swear
00:09:57.000 to god saying that this whole trucker convoy was organized I swear I'm not making this up
00:10:03.960 by Vladimir Putin just take a look at this I do ask that because uh you know given Canada's support of
00:10:12.600 Ukraine in this current crisis with Russia I don't know if it's far-fetched to ask but but there is
00:10:19.400 concern that Russian actors could be continuing to fuel things as this as this protest grows but
00:10:27.000 perhaps even instigating it from from the outset well again I'm going to defer to uh our partners in
00:10:34.600 the public safety the trained officials and experts in that area you know the cbc looks down their nose
00:10:41.160 that people cause some conspiracy theorists I have never heard anyone say anything as kooky as Vladimir
00:10:47.800 Putin organized I mean that's Sasquatch stuff that's UFO stuff that's Loch Ness monster conspiracy
00:10:54.760 series that's Justin Trudeau's state broadcaster so let me tell you what they've been saying
00:11:00.680 someone I mean a lot of people have signs and hats and there's a Terry Fox sculpture here a statue and
00:11:06.760 someone put a hat on him and a Canadian flag on him and put a placard in his hands take a look
00:11:12.520 now I don't think that's the right thing to do but Terry Fox is not an actual saint or a religious
00:11:17.080 icon he was a great hero and a great Canadian and I think it's probably inappropriate to put that on
00:11:21.800 them but look at the headlines Terry Fox statue desecrated well I don't think it was really sacred to
00:11:29.080 begin with but desecrated it wasn't spray painted it wasn't decapitated it wasn't knocked over and in
00:11:35.560 fact that was cleaned up pretty quickly it's sort of funny to see the Toronto star the cbc gnash their
00:11:42.040 teeth about that the same people who cheered when actual statues of john a mcdonald our founding father
00:11:48.760 of confederation were toppled and decapitated take a look at this
00:12:02.760 now i knew that these truckers were ordinary people severely normal people and i'm a jew who's
00:12:29.000 lived in canada for 49 years and i have to tell you i've been to nine provinces and two territories
00:12:35.720 and i have never seen a nazi a nazi flag a nazi incident in my life 49 years i've been crisscrossing
00:12:43.720 canada i think i've traveled more than most i just simply have never ever seen it and i go to political
00:12:50.600 places i go to quote right-wing places so i knew that demand exceeds supply and there would be such a
00:12:57.480 demand from the liberal war room from justin trudeau from the media for something nazi-ish
00:13:04.360 that if it didn't happen normally which of course it wouldn't that it would be manufactured and indeed
00:13:10.120 it was and look at this a picture of an actual nazi swastika but if you look carefully it's not on
00:13:19.640 parliament hill and here's another picture of the same swastika at the chateau laurier hotel give me a
00:13:26.840 minute on that the chateau laurier if if you don't know ottawa is the absolute fanciest ritziest hotel
00:13:34.680 in the city i i don't know i'm guessing it's 400 a night um their lobby bar always has cabinet
00:13:42.520 ministers and lobbyists in them it is the establishment cream of the crop for rich people
00:13:48.840 the idea that some trucker from the convoy would be staying at the chateau laurier for 400 bucks a
00:13:56.360 night with his nazi flag is too far to be believed this is obviously a false flag but every media ran
00:14:05.160 with it so disgracefully they all knew it was fake they didn't care they're the jussie smollett's
00:14:10.920 of canada and i want to tell you that here on the ground everyone is learning something they're
00:14:17.800 learning that they can no longer trust the liberals i think most had come to that point of view in
00:14:22.760 advance but i think they're learning that they cannot trust a word the media says that the chasm
00:14:29.320 between how the media has reported this event and what people see with their own eyes is so wide
00:14:35.480 i think that there's a political earthquake here for sure i think just walking around the city you
00:14:40.680 can feel the difference i am not allowed to go to any sit-down restaurants in ontario no one is vaxxed
00:14:46.680 or not there it's there's a lockdown i have eaten in sit-down restaurants the entire time i'm here
00:14:54.360 no mask no vax pass you put 50 100 000 normal people in the city and the merchants are happy to have the
00:15:01.160 business and the police don't dare try and enforce a mask mandate on you're going to go around try and
00:15:06.200 get these people wearing masks you better bring a few reinforcements my point is i think a lot of
00:15:13.240 things are being transformed a lot of canadians realize they're not alone when they don't like
00:15:18.280 the lockdowns and they say enough already but everyone here and everyone who participated in some
00:15:24.280 minor way they were on the convoy they saw the convoy they had a friend involved i i think the number of
00:15:30.520 people who are directly involved or one degree of separation the number of people who have some
00:15:36.920 actual first or second hand knowledge about this is so large that when they compare that to what
00:15:43.960 they see in the media party they will come to the conclusion that you and i have which is that they are
00:15:49.400 simply untrustworthy subsidiaries of the political establishment i think the media knows a huge
00:15:56.600 political change is going on i think they get that but i don't think that they are self-aware enough
00:16:02.840 to see there's enormous change in what people think of journalists in this country too i want to
00:16:08.520 talk just for one minute about something else i i mentioned this in my speech to the truckers which
00:16:14.040 i'll show you at the end of the monologue i when i checked in i i met someone who asked me what
00:16:20.360 about the memorandum of understanding and i know what he's talking about i'm a former lawyer and a
00:16:26.200 member of under memorandum of understanding is another way of saying sort of a preliminary
00:16:30.920 contractor in agreement it's an actual thing in law but some of these truckers engaged in a little
00:16:37.080 homemade lawyering and drafted something they called a memorandum of understanding and they sought
00:16:41.960 to present it to i think the senate or the governor general or something thinking that that would cause
00:16:47.560 trudeau to resign or the governor general to dismiss him or or some constitutional miracle would happen
00:16:57.000 it it's it's sort of a goofy document because it's homemade and i'm not disparaging the intentions
00:17:01.800 behind it i'm just saying it's not a thing there is no magic wand you can wave or spell you can cast
00:17:07.800 to get justin trudeau out there's just not and so i don't think one percent of the people in the convoy
00:17:14.280 actually know about this memorandum of understanding or have read it or understand it or agree with it
00:17:19.480 it's just something that some people did but i think it gave some false hope to some people that
00:17:25.240 there's a silver bullet here and i think it gave an opportunity for the elites to mock the convoy saying
00:17:33.640 oh you're just a bunch of dumb yokels and i think that that's a little bit uh dispiriting since some
00:17:40.200 people who thought that something climactic would happen after the meeting you have a hundred thousand
00:17:47.640 people in ottawa they all come to parliament hill and then what what's the ta-da what's supposed to
00:17:54.760 happen now well the thing is justin trudeau ran away if you know that monty python movie he bravely ran
00:18:02.440 away he came up with the most hilarious excuse he didn't have covet he's triple vaxxed he took a
00:18:10.040 test that came negative but on public health advice he was hiding for five days and then he said he
00:18:15.960 was double triple hiding because of security reasons i want to show you a millennial on tick
00:18:21.080 tock who made a joke about that take a look i can't go out i'm sick
00:18:26.680 yeah so justin trudeau's not even here uh i'm guessing 95 of mps aren't here either
00:18:35.640 believe it or not bureaucrats were told to work from home for security reasons they're so insistent
00:18:41.240 that there's some violent thing happening the only violence that's happened in canada over the last two
00:18:45.480 years is the police force has been weaponized against us for personal health choices my point is
00:18:52.360 justin trudeau does not care what the people think he calls these people names he insults them he calls
00:18:58.360 them a fringe minority when he himself had the lowest vote share of any prime minister in history
00:19:05.480 i don't think he's moved by principle or by arguments of public interest i think he is what he says he is
00:19:14.040 a fan of castro a fan of communist china like his father was a fan of the soviet union
00:19:19.720 i don't think justin trudeau will be moved by anything and i think what we have to do is
00:19:26.120 realize that there's not some miracle that can dislodge trudeau but there is another miracle that
00:19:32.600 happened hundreds of thousands of canadians for once in their life thought they could speak up and have
00:19:39.320 a voice and they created a way for themselves outside of the existing media establishment political
00:19:46.360 establishment cultural establishment and they saw that when they dared to do that the entire
00:19:52.760 establishment mocked them attacked them and lied about them i'll show you my speech to the truckers
00:19:59.400 in a moment i said that's the point the point of the truckers convoy was the truckers convoy
00:20:05.000 i um i want to close by telling you another observation i made other than rebel news which
00:20:15.400 was greeted like heroes here i think we had 10 or 12 reporters and anyone with a rebel news microphone
00:20:20.520 flag was met like a hero people asking for selfies and handshakes and hugs it really was a wonderful
00:20:28.040 feeling i'm so glad our reporters who put up with so much bs from the rest of the industry see what
00:20:34.200 people really think i tell you it was great to be a rebel here this weekend the rest of the media
00:20:40.760 with a handful of exceptions was simply abusive and smearing things from afar they weren't even here
00:20:48.600 ironically and not surprisingly the most sympathetic mainstream media coverage of this event
00:20:55.800 was you get a bit of that here too
00:21:03.320 the most sympathetic and accurate coverage of this protest was from foreign media look at the daily
00:21:10.600 mail they covered the pros and the cons and the ups and the downs but they weren't snide they weren't
00:21:15.960 snobby they weren't lying fox news news max american networks british networks have covered this more
00:21:24.840 accurately and more honestly than canada's own media this was an amazing weekend i'm so glad i'm here
00:21:32.440 i'm so glad rebel news has covered it and we're not done covering it yet by the way go to convoyreports.com
00:21:37.800 to see our ongoing coverage this was the moment when a million other canadians said you know what
00:21:44.760 i'm a rebel too stay with us for more
00:21:58.040 well most of parliament has fled justin trudeau is in hiding who knows if he's even in the country he's
00:22:05.240 probably in the bahamas but one of the mps who's here today walking around talking to people is our
00:22:11.880 friend leslin lewis the conservative member of parliament from haldeman norfolk what a pleasure
00:22:16.680 to have you nice to be here nice to see you again ezra well likewise did i say the name of your riding
00:22:22.120 correctly you sure did okay well that's great um the first thing i want to say is why are you here
00:22:28.120 other mps have chosen to avoid it even to criticize it why did you decide to come i think any time this
00:22:35.480 the people have spoken that it's our obligation to listen to the people who pay our salaries so i
00:22:42.520 think it's very important that we're here that we listen to the concerns that we meet them and that
00:22:47.960 we hear what's on their hearts one of the things that the establishment has said about the convoy
00:22:54.600 is that it's immoral in some way it's either racist or sexist extremist or violent uh what are
00:23:02.040 your observations well that's what they say to keep good people away because good people wouldn't
00:23:07.880 want to be associated with those labels so they throw out those labels so that people will be afraid
00:23:14.040 to stand up for their democratic rights what i've seen i've seen family members i've seen young children
00:23:20.440 i've seen people picking up garbage so that they don't have so that the city doesn't have to come and
00:23:25.160 do it i've seen people bringing latrines so that they could have a place to use the washroom i've seen
00:23:31.320 people by the side of the road making food for strangers i've seen brethren sisterly love and
00:23:37.640 i've seen people fight for their democracy and i've seen people stand up and tell the government
00:23:43.560 that they've gone too far and that is their democratic right to do so in the background uh you can hear the
00:23:51.320 drumming of indigenous drums there has been a large aboriginal contingent here even the organizer of the
00:23:58.280 convoy herself as a metis woman uh you use the word unity i feel that too do you think there's almost
00:24:05.640 a new political coalition that's being fused here because there's people here who have never been
00:24:11.080 political before uh who probably would have voted for justin trudeau in 2015 is something new taking
00:24:18.680 shape here oh absolutely this transcends partisan politics this is about freedoms this is about
00:24:26.680 choice this is about your rights and when governments use hate to divide the people start
00:24:32.280 to see through it and once their eyes are open it's never closed again and so people don't care what
00:24:38.040 party you belong to people don't care whether you're conservative or liberal all they know is that
00:24:43.480 they've done what's right many people have are double and triple vaccinated here and they're still
00:24:49.880 under lockdowns and so that so their their eyes are opening and they're saying there's something wrong
00:24:54.600 with the mandate the mandates don't work we're tired we want conversation and politicians are running
00:25:01.000 from the same people that they were elected to represent that is not right i i agree with those things
00:25:09.240 i feel and i want to be very candid with you i feel that the conservative party federally and in the
00:25:15.640 provinces where it's in power ontario and alberta come to mind provincially those governments have
00:25:22.680 imposed mandates in fact in my original province of alberta they've even locked up pastors who keep their
00:25:27.880 churches open uh in the face of lockdown i have felt like the conservative party federally was
00:25:34.840 reluctant to take that head on but i feel like in the last few days this convoy has given courage
00:25:43.080 to conservative mps a number of whom have come out what do you think of my analysis well our leader
00:25:50.920 erin o'toole has always stood up and said that we believe in reasonable accommodations and so that's
00:25:57.160 always been a part of our platform with respect to the provincial side we don't have any control over
00:26:02.760 provincial mandates the federal side yes i've i've spoken out and i've said it is wrong that a
00:26:09.080 canadian cannot get on a plane cannot get on a boat cannot get on a train that is federally regulated
00:26:15.480 because justin trudeau has spread this rumor that unvaccinated people are boogeymen now that we're two
00:26:22.360 years into this into this pandemic and we know that covid is now endemic i bet you you don't there's
00:26:29.000 nobody that doesn't know somebody that hasn't had covid and so we're at the point now we where we say
00:26:35.400 we have to learn to live with it and you're not going to get covid by sitting beside an unvaccinated
00:26:42.520 person who doesn't have covid and so that was a lie and the people have woken up and they've seen
00:26:48.440 that they've been lied to and they want answers and they deserve those answers what are the things
00:26:54.440 of the last it's it's ironic in a way that we're in front of parliament hill uh or on parliament hill
00:26:59.800 because so many of the decisions of the last last two years have not been made by parliamentarians
00:27:05.400 many of the particular rules have not been voted on they've been issued by public health officers
00:27:11.400 provincially at the city level and even teresa tam federally um do you think it's time to remove
00:27:19.560 the emergency powers from the public health i call it the deep state because no one voted them in no
00:27:25.000 one heard their names until two years ago and they they become powerful political actors is it time to
00:27:33.560 take the democracy back from public health officers and put it into legislatures again absolutely we know
00:27:40.360 it's time because medical officers of health around the country are saying that it's time they're
00:27:46.920 coming out and saying that it's time for us to move on it's time for us to learn how to be safe
00:27:54.200 and healthy and live with covid and it's time to restore the freedoms and today is indicative of
00:28:00.680 the fact that it's time i got one last question for you and by the way i appreciate i know there's so
00:28:05.160 many people here you want to talk to you thanks for making time for us justin trudeau has announced
00:28:10.840 that he has purchased or signed contracts um for hundreds of millions more doses i think he said 400
00:28:19.080 million or some enormous figure and uh i know the government has plans to acquire them for years to
00:28:25.800 come uh i suppose he would say well that's just you know better safe than sorry it's like an insurance
00:28:32.440 policy are you worried that two boost two shots and a booster will turn into four five six as like in
00:28:39.720 israel they're on shot number four starting shot number five do you think that that we should
00:28:47.080 reassess this endless plan for a series of boosters do you feel comfortable taking on that issue well
00:28:54.840 i'm not a medical doctor my doctor is in is in law so i am comfortable talking about rights and my issue
00:29:02.440 is that i believe that even if the whole world is vaccinated it should be done on informed consent
00:29:08.840 i believe in informed consent so my issue here is not about whether you're vaccinated or you're not
00:29:14.120 vaccinated because the group of people here are comprised of people who are no longer afraid of
00:29:20.440 each other they're both vaccinated and unvaccinated so i'm here because i want to hear from people about
00:29:27.720 the mandates and the mandates that have caused families to be apart that have caused brothers and
00:29:33.640 sisters not to want to see each other parents not want to see their children grandparents not want
00:29:39.080 to see their grandchildren these are the things that we need healing for in this country and i would
00:29:45.000 like to move us forward in a spirit of unity there you have it leslyn lewis member of parliament for
00:29:51.080 haldeman norfolk pleasure to talk with you thanks for being here pleasure right on stay warm stay with us more ahead
00:30:10.280 well what an interesting weekend it was i enjoyed talking with leslyn lewis i think conservative mps
00:30:15.480 are allowed to speak a little more honestly now than they have been over the last two years um
00:30:22.840 they're still you know erin o'toole is is facing a number of mps who've clearly lost patience with him
00:30:29.160 his initial response to the convoy was really to uh ghost them as the kids say but i think there was one
00:30:38.680 measurement i want to tell you and it's the go fund me for the truckers i don't know how that ended
00:30:44.040 last i saw it was like eight million dollars maybe it stopped i don't know they had a lot
00:30:47.960 of questions of could they get the money out or not frankly i don't know how much they need because
00:30:52.840 i think most truckers were happy to pay their own gas and their own meals of course they should get
00:30:57.080 the money it was intended for them by donors but as i said in my speech to the truckers whether or not
00:31:03.640 they got it is almost secondary because the fact that eight million dollars the largest canadian crowd
00:31:09.400 fund i've ever heard of was given by tens of thousands of people for the truckers that shows
00:31:15.960 that there's a political movement and there's an appetite for this that has not been met by the
00:31:20.120 quote officials frankly that money could have been raised by the conservative party of canada
00:31:24.920 had they shown any courage like ron desantis in the states or other u.s governors
00:31:30.200 so i i think that what we see around here is something new i don't know what form it'll take in
00:31:36.200 the future i know that the government and the other establishments want it to peter out i see
00:31:41.880 in opinion polls at the people's party i saw an opinion poll that put them at 13 just a few points
00:31:47.400 behind the ndp so i don't know what will come from this but it's too big to be swept under the rug
00:31:52.840 and i actually think it's too big to be demonized by the media party that i think has probably broken
00:31:59.080 itself this weekend more than it broke the movement well that's the show for today until tomorrow when i'm
00:32:05.480 warmer back in toronto on behalf of all of us here at rebel worlds well i guess i used to say rebel
00:32:11.080 world headquarters we're back at canada's headquarters in ottawa good night keep fighting for freedom and
00:32:17.160 let me leave you with a short speech i gave to the truckers i was invited up on stage and i just let
00:32:23.240 that are ripped i'll say goodbye and leave you with that see you tomorrow
00:32:28.840 does anybody know the name
00:32:42.680 ladies and gentlemen put your hands together for ezra levant the rebel news
00:32:46.440 it's great to be here and on behalf of rebel news i salute you and i say keep speaking truth to power
00:33:10.760 but i want to tell you what excites me the most about this crowd i see a lot of cameras a lot of
00:33:17.160 independent journalists because when people say what do we do about the media i say you become the media
00:33:24.760 that's what you do the media acts like a party the media party it's a subsidiary of the liberal party
00:33:36.840 so you've got to tell the story yourselves everyone who is here everyone who was along the road
00:33:44.040 has to bear witness and testify to what they saw because there's two competing narratives the government
00:33:51.880 says you're racist the government says you're sexist the government says you're violent in the meantime
00:34:00.840 i've never seen a more diverse group of canadians
00:34:03.480 the far from violence people want to not be violated anymore justin trudeau says you're extreme
00:34:15.800 but he's the one who has violated our civil rights
00:34:20.680 he says you're a fringe well that's a pretty bloody big fringe
00:34:25.640 let me close by saying this someone asked me this morning what's the point what's gonna happen
00:34:37.000 why did we all gather in ottawa is he gonna listen is he gonna resign is the governor general gonna ask
00:34:44.600 him to step down no he'll hold on to power as hard as he can let me tell you what i think the point is
00:34:51.960 the point is the convoy itself to show that you're not alone to show that you're not the crazy one they
00:35:01.400 are you already achieved your goal just by being here and the fact that millions of dollars came into
00:35:19.400 the gofundme for the truckers even if they would have canceled that it was still a success because it
00:35:27.640 was a measurement of how much people cared you have succeeded just by being here
00:35:40.200 he got the fight congratulations to the organizers but really it was millions of canadians
00:35:47.640 along the way in the convoy and watching today from home tell them what happened tell them what you
00:35:56.440 saw because they will not hear the truth from anyone else keep up the fight everybody keep fighting for
00:36:03.480 Oh
00:36:24.440 oh
00:36:26.120 oh
00:36:26.840 oh
