A case study of how the word "disinformation" is just a new way of deplatforming anyone you disagree with. The lead author is paid both by Justin Trudeau and the vaccine companies. I just don't know why they accept that conflict of interest.
00:18:54.980I wrote two books about how we need to develop Canadian oil and gas to displace OPEC and Russian oil and gas.
00:19:03.200My book Groundswell had an entire chapter mocking Putin, calling him a thug, a bully, a crook.
00:19:10.860I don't think I can ever travel to Russia and I don't think I ever will because I believe I'm genuinely at risk of being arrested or detained for writing the things I've written about Putin.
00:19:22.880And doing, what, 50 TV programs saying we should displace Russian conflict oil with Canadian ethical oil?
00:19:30.420Imagine calling me pro-Putin or pro-Russia.
00:20:02.680Social network of Canadian Twitter, U.S.-influenced and Russia-influenced pro-Russian accounts are in magenta and red clusters respectively.
00:20:12.900So if you're against the war, if you're considered pro-Russia or pro-America, whether you're – how does it even make sense?
00:20:25.940If America is for the war, putting $40 billion into the war, I don't understand what they're saying if you're U.S.-influenced.
00:22:43.880Are these ignorant fools at the University of Calgary saying that I, who wrote two books declaring Russian oil and gas to be an enemy to be fought,
00:22:52.440are they saying that I'm pro-Russian because I don't like the war there and don't think we should get involved?
00:22:59.440Or because I tweet against the Nazis and I don't trust Trudeau?
00:23:03.340How did they choose the names on there?
00:23:07.120What does it mean when they list a Brazilian as an American-influenced person, even though he opposes the U.S. government's position on the war?
00:23:15.260Why is he in a Canadian study about disinformation?
00:23:18.520Do you get the feeling that this whole racket is just hocus-pocus, junk science, made-up BS, again, just to come up with some fancy excuse for not debating things?
00:23:28.980Do you ever think that's a possibility?
00:24:27.720The University of Calgary School of Public Policy is saying that one of the top Russian influences in Canada, spreading Kremlin propaganda.
00:24:36.640And you saw the tweet, the social media is under attack.
00:24:40.140It's a Twitter account named Hardbop34 with 155 followers.
00:25:00.680How can this list be taken seriously if he's on the top 10 list of Russian infiltrators?
00:25:08.580And again, the only proof that he's a Russian is that he doesn't trust Trudeau and he doesn't like the Nazi Azov battalion.
00:25:17.500And he thinks maybe NATO surrounding Russia just might be irritating the problem.
00:25:21.220Sounds like we've got some professors at the University of Calgary desperately in search of a problem to solve, or more likely desperately in search of grants from Trudeau to demonize his enemies.
00:25:58.700The predominant narrative justified Russia's invasion as a response to NATO expansionism.
00:26:04.140It tended to characterize the Russian invasion as a reasonable or expected consequence of the military alliance's continued admittance of former Eastern Bloc states, placing the borders of the alliance closer and closer to Russia.
00:26:17.700Well, if you're saying that this invasion was a predictable consequence, and if you think maybe that NATO is irritating Russia, I mean, that was its whole purpose, to fight against Russia.
00:26:32.780I've got some terrifying news for you if you think that makes, making those observations makes you an enemy.
00:26:38.000Henry Kissinger, the American foreign policy guru for the last 50 years, who advised John F. Kennedy, who advised Richard M. Nixon.
00:26:50.280Just the other day, he spoke at Davos, actually, when our reporters were there.
00:27:35.540NATO governments have rightly said they are willing to address Russia's security concerns, but then say in the same breath that Russia has no legitimate security concerns because NATO is a purely defensive alliance.
00:27:49.720Whether we like it or not, a NATO that now borders Russia and could in future border even more of Russia is seen by Russia as a security concern.
00:27:59.440In 2014, Henry Kissinger wrote in the Washington Post that, quote,
00:28:02.580So, internationally, Ukraine should pursue a posture comparable to that of Finland.
00:28:08.080That nation leaves no doubt about its fierce independence, cooperates with the West in most fields, but carefully avoids institutional hostility to Russia.
00:28:19.300Signed by Lord Owen, UK foreign secretary in the late 70s.
00:28:23.680If you disagree with this war, if you disagree with Trudeau about Ukraine, you will be put in the category of a disloyal foreign influence shill.
00:28:33.600Now, if you think Trudeau himself is untruthworthy, if you think this war is not a good idea, if you think the Azo Battalion are a bunch of Nazis, you are the enemy now.
00:28:42.960Just like Kissinger and Lord Owen are apparently.
00:28:47.260Like I say, it's easier than debating people, isn't it?
00:28:50.480This whole disinformation business, it's sort of fun.
00:30:20.740Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, conservatives have been weak and often worked at cross-purposed and amplified or darn right stoked.
00:30:32.280Anti-vaccine narrative essentially making us less safe.
00:34:40.420I had known him a little bit back then, certainly not as well as I've come to know him in the past two years.
00:34:45.560As you could see there, it was bitter cold in Calgary, Alberta, and he was doing what he does every weekend, what he has done for decades.
00:34:57.580He feeds the homeless, the homeless, the homeless that are so lowly.
00:35:03.000They're often not even allowed in homeless shelters because maybe they're on drugs or they're drunk or they have some personality disorder that makes them violent or something.
00:35:15.500He gives them, and sometimes it's quite good food, steaks.
00:35:19.040And he feeds them, he does the job that the city won't.
00:35:22.380And did you see the cops saying it was in the illegal gathering as if it was some rave party, as if it was a fun social gathering rather than him feeding the hungry?
00:35:34.940And then did you see the cop pushing around one of Arthur Pawlowski's colleagues saying, six feet away, six feet away, do you see that?
00:35:44.860That video that I saw just over two years ago made me so mad, and I'm feeling that anger again today, watching it again, that I phoned Arthur Pawlowski.
00:35:57.980And I said, not only will we do a story on this, but let us crowdfund a lawyer for you, and thus our Fight the Fines project was born.
00:36:10.060We have, in fact, come to the aid of 2,000 people who were bullied by police.
00:36:17.940But two days ago, the prosecution of Arthur Pawlowski for feeding the homeless in the bitter cold of a Christmas dinner in December of 2020, that trial began in Calgary incredibly.
00:36:35.180They're proceeding against them, and in court alone were our Rebel News reporters, including Selene Gallas, who joins us now from Calgary.
00:37:33.300The fact that not a single journalist other than Rebel News was in the court tells me just how broken the media is and how much in collusion they are with the government.
00:38:04.960Yeah, it's a little bit more particular than that.
00:38:09.000They're trying to get him on the account of it being some sort of Christians-only private event.
00:38:15.340That's what they're trying to get him for.
00:38:17.020You know, public gatherings were not a lot of either, but it's very specific.
00:38:24.040The narrative that they're pushing is that it's Christians-only.
00:38:27.240And a lot of the questions that Sarah Miller, Arthur Pawlowski's lawyer, was asking the witnesses that are testifying against Arthur is if they saw him turning down anyone from the food lines or any people in general from this public event.
00:38:43.900And all of them, all eight, there's a couple more actually, dates to be established in the future for that one.
00:38:51.700But they all agreed that no one was turned away and that they have no evidence that they could provide as to who was invited, invited, if this was indeed a private event.
00:39:03.060I followed that line of questioning on your Twitter feed and on Sheila's the day before.
00:39:07.760And I think I understand it because Arthur lets anyone come.
00:40:11.000Is there any indication that this judge has some feeling about the case, or is it just too hard to tell?
00:40:18.840Actually, that is the one thing, you know, court is a very interesting process.
00:40:25.480As it stands, you know, being a witness from the inside is certainly different than I thought it would be just from hearing about it or seeing it in movies.
00:40:32.820This judge in particular is actually, he's pretty great from what I can tell.
00:40:37.840I think he has a little bit of a soft spot for Arthur, if I might be so bold as to exclaim, but there's a few times that the prosecutor, he actually forgot to mention her name.
00:40:53.400He's a middle-aged man, you know, nothing too particular about him except there's lots of sighs, you know, lots of heavy-handed leanings and breathing into the microphone and pauses.
00:41:06.700And I think everyone is just super fed up with this process.
00:41:35.020The people are there on the street all the time, but the best part of their week is when this Polish pastor comes and gives them food and a pep talk.
00:41:44.780The fact that they're bringing in government witness after government witness, it sounds like they're spending a staggering amount of resources, both of police and prosecutors, on this case.
00:41:57.140Going by rough numbers, how many cops are on the Arthur Pawlowski lunch beat?
00:42:05.420And is it just the one prosecuting lawyer or is there more?
00:42:08.900So I've just seen one lawyer so far, but there are, I mean, there's several police officers and then the rest of them that I've seen, just with my two days in court, have been a police officer.
00:42:22.180And all of them seem to be part of the same public safety unit.
00:42:26.460That was all generally established around the same time that the COVID lockdown began and these protests started happening.
00:42:34.800Yeah, it sounds like they have this entire squad just to take on Arthur.
00:42:40.080And I truly believe that Jason Kenney's vendetta against Arthur Pawlowski, which is so weird because when I knew Jason Kenney, he was a very serious Christian who believed in Christian rights.
00:42:52.920Kenny picked up Nahid Nenshi's vendetta against Arthur Pawlowski and had this whole hunter killer team of prosecutors and health police.
00:43:02.800And it sounds like that's still going on.
00:43:05.160The fact that a prosecutor doesn't look at this and say there's no likelihood of conviction, there's no public interest here.
00:43:12.680This was two years ago when we didn't know how to do things in the pandemic.
00:43:18.120He was feeding the homeless. There's no public interest here.
00:43:20.300The fact that they are proceeding in June of 2022 with the prosecution of it shows that there is some institutional bigotry here that you would think we'd be done with, but it's not.
00:43:33.080Now, our friend Sidney Fazzard interviewed Arthur about this, and I think we have that clip.
00:43:40.100Let's just take a listen to that for Arthur's point of view.
00:43:42.680Let's go back to the merits of the case because, I mean, a lawyer's talk, some people do not even understand what you are talking about.
00:44:17.760That's Arthur Pawlowski being interviewed by our friend Sid.
00:44:21.720The lawyer on Arthur's side, Sarah Miller, I've gotten to know her pretty well over the last two years.
00:44:26.400She has been in court at least a dozen times for Arthur, and I have to say she's one of the smartest lawyers I've encountered, and we have far too many lawyers we work with here at Rebel News.
00:44:39.320But I have to say she really is the cream of the crop.
00:44:44.460Is she on her own, or does she have a junior counsel with her?
00:44:48.080And does she—I know you're not a lawyer yourself, but just from a layman's point of view, how is she coming across?
00:44:54.460Fantastic. It's just her. It is just her. I haven't seen anybody else with her.
00:45:00.360I'm pretty sure that she has just been taking this entire news on solo.
00:45:04.160Listen, I appreciate you being in court and live-tweeting it, the fact that you were there by yourself.
00:45:09.800And in Calgary, which is a fair-sized city, more than a million people, there are probably a dozen newspaper reporters between the Herald and the Sun that could cover this beat, the National Post, the Globe and Mail.
00:45:22.020They also have people in the city. Obviously, the CBC state broadcaster has well over 100 staff in the city.
00:47:50.040I mean, I've told you before how Bill Gates, for example, had this insane plan of putting billions of tons of dust in the air to literally block out the sun.
00:48:49.560And let me leave you with our video of the day.
00:48:52.380Our dear friend David Menzies tracked down Patrick Brown, the mayor of Brampton and Conservative Party leadership candidate, and found him in a secret office.
00:49:05.200David confronted him and Patrick Brown ran away and got in his getaway car and sped away.
00:50:04.040In this nondescript office building, unit number 20 on City View Boulevard, there is Patrick Brown's campaign office in full flight.
00:50:14.420And I guess there's really nothing wrong with that, although it's kind of funny that he's based in Brampton, but he's running his boiler room out of Vaughn.
00:50:22.700But here's the thing, folks, there are several senior City of Brampton officials that are working on this campaign, and we know this for sure.
00:50:34.500Just in front of me, about 55 meters ahead of me, is the white Audi SUV that belongs to Babu Nagulingham.
00:50:45.880He is the chief of staff for the mayor.
00:50:48.160I have been coming here for the last several weeks, and I've been documenting the fact that that SUV that is owned by Babu is parked here.
00:50:57.520Also, another interesting character, Margaret Beveridge.
00:51:02.240She's the senior director of operations, the mayor's office.
00:51:06.400She is also showing up here in her white Fiat.
00:51:09.480There are several other city employees.
00:51:11.220They've been on planes crisscrossing Canada with Mayor Patrick Brown as he tries to succeed in being the new leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
00:51:23.520We were told these staffers were working on the Brown campaign while still fully employed by the city of Brampton.
00:51:31.600And if this is the case, that's offside.
00:51:36.560Indeed, according to Section 4 and Section 5 of the Brampton Council Code of Conduct,
00:52:09.740No member shall use the facilities, equipment, supplies, services, or other resources of the city for any election campaign or campaign-related activities.
00:52:22.560No member shall use the services of persons for campaign-related activities during hours in which those persons receive any compensation from the city.
00:54:24.640Indeed, back when he was the leader of the Ontario PC party, he threw social conservatives under the bus
00:54:32.060when he campaigned against the Liberals' sex ed curriculum, only to later flip-flop and support that very same sex ed curriculum.
00:54:41.700And I have no intention of scrapping the sex education curriculum.
00:54:46.160He then shockingly threw fiscal conservatives under the bus by deciding it would somehow be a good idea for Ontario,
00:54:53.920a manufacturing province, to have its very own carbon tax.
00:54:57.800And when there were no more conservatives to throw under the bus, well, guess what?
00:55:11.800The PC party threw Patrick Brown under the bus back in January 2018.
00:55:17.940Such was the contempt and distaste for this backstabber that he was forced to walk the plank less than six months before the provincial election.
00:55:29.200It's not my values. It's not how I raised. It's not who I am.
00:55:46.520Yet Patrick Brown is all about acquiring power for the sake of acquiring power.
00:55:53.140And he certainly does not lead by example.
00:55:56.920Brampton was perhaps the most locked down city in all of Canada during the COVID-19 mandates.
00:56:04.440Brown even hired security guards to rat out people to Brampton by law enforcement for the egregious crime of, oh, making use of fenced off baseball diamonds or soccer fields.
00:56:17.700And all the while, this hypocrite was secretly playing hockey with his Barry buddies at a Brampton rink.
00:56:25.920Well, folks, we're getting the bums rush, but holy mackerel, I think I see Patrick Brown himself.
01:07:22.760Why are you regularly working in the City of Vaughan and not the City of Brampton, the municipality that employs you?
01:07:32.360Why are you flying across Canada with Brown and not working for the City of Brampton?
01:07:38.620Are you working on Mr. Brown's campaign for Conservative leader while still being paid by the City of Brampton?
01:07:45.880Did you notify the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Brampton that you were taking time off from your municipal duties to work on the Patrick Brown campaign?
01:07:58.120And if you have indeed taken leave of absence from your City of Brampton position, can you kindly forward the documentation that would prove this?
01:08:09.180Now, Mr. Beveridge and Mr. Goli responded, saying they were not being paid while working on the Brown campaign.
01:08:19.060Yet, when we asked to see the written evidence that would prove this story, no evidence was forthcoming.
01:08:26.800Mr. Jonas claimed he never went to Edmonton and Vancouver, but he failed to mention Calgary.
01:08:33.000That's likely because we have eyewitness confirmation that he attended a rally in Calgary on May 13th, staged by Raman Katra.
01:08:47.080In the meantime, as you saw, John Natishan, who earlier told my colleague Lincoln Jay that he had nothing to do with the Patrick Brown campaign.
01:08:57.920Well, there he is. He's the guy that manhandled me out to give me the bums rush.
01:09:03.000Wow. Birds of a feather. They really do stick together.
01:09:07.580And finally, if Patrick Brown is the mayor of Brampton and he resides in Brampton, why has he hidden his office in this secretive Vaughn Industrial Park?
01:09:22.580It doesn't make sense. And we would never have found it if he weren't tipped off.
01:09:26.440And once again, just like when we caught sneaky Patrick Brown in the hockey rink, well, that tip was gold.
01:09:34.320This man cannot stop breaking the rules. He cannot stop lying.
01:09:41.320Riddle me this. Is this the character you want as the head of the Conservative Party?
01:09:45.820Is this the person you want as Prime Minister?
