In this episode of The Ezra LeVant Show, host Ezra Levenkamp sits down in a Santa s chair to read your letters sent in to Ezra. In this episode: Why should others go to jail when you re the biggest carbon consumer? Why is it so hard to do the right thing when it comes to saving the planet? What s the worst thing you ve ever done to help fight climate change? How do you feel about the government's response to the Pandemic? What would you have done if you were in charge of the world's largest carbon tax collection agency?
00:01:23.840Well, hello, my friends. You know what? I'm Jewish, of course, so we have Hanukkah Harry.
00:01:29.160We don't have Santa clothes. I'm kidding. There's really no such thing as Hanukkah Harry,
00:01:32.980but it's my pleasure to pretend to be Santa for one night. I'm physiologically, I'm a good
00:01:38.760fit for the part. As you know, for a few days, actually a few weeks, we were calling for people
00:01:45.600to write letters to Ezra, just ask me anything kind of stuff, and we're styling it as sort
00:01:51.100of a Christmas Eve chit-chat, so I don't know. We're going to try something new. It's great
00:01:55.100to be here, and I got my elf hat on. This big Santa's bag really is stuffed with letters.
00:02:05.260Like, these are real letters in here. I have not seen any of them in advance. Our producers
00:02:12.360look through them, but I have no clue what's in them. I'm just going to go through these
00:02:17.040letters and read as many as I can, and hopefully the letters are interesting, and I'll try and
00:02:21.900make my replies in advance. So anyways, let's give it a shot. Dearest Ezra, well, that's
00:02:26.080a little familiar. I have two questions. One, your reports and information have gotten me
00:02:30.820through the pandemic and made me feel less alone. I helped to run a rescue for abused
00:02:35.340animals, allcreaturesrescue.ca, and the pandemic has been a bigger challenge to us than the previous
00:02:42.120years. We have rescued over 300 animals and have been stretched to the brink. I was wondering
00:02:47.380if you could do a shout out to our Toronto-based rescue, allcreaturesrescue.ca. My second question,
00:02:53.340how did you and David Mente start working together? Thank you, and the happiest of holidays to you
00:02:58.120all, Daria, Ontario. Well, that's a friendly letter. You know what? It's funny because my
00:03:04.380family got a dog for the pandemic, just for company and for something to focus on, and now
00:03:12.300we got two little doggies, and I'm absolutely happy to give a shout out to allcreaturesrescue.ca,
00:03:19.740and good for you. On your second question, David Mente's, I met him, I mean, I sort of heard him
00:03:26.960on the radio because he was, he was always doing the menzoid on the radio, and I got to know him
00:03:31.500when we were at Sun News Network, and he, he was doing great reports back then, so when we started
00:03:37.560Rebel News, I thought it was just a matter of time before we were united, and now he's just doing
00:03:42.180a great job, and in fact, in our Rebbe Awards, our Viewer's Choice Award, I don't know if you know
00:03:48.140this, but David won the bronze medal. He came in third, second was Sheila, and number one was
00:03:53.860Avi Amini, so thanks for your letter. I'm going to keep going through these, this is fun. There's a lot
00:03:57.700of letters here. We could be here for a while. I got my Red Bull, and of course, my Slim Fast
00:04:02.780chocolates, because you can just see, right now I'm going slim slow. I got to speed that up.
00:04:08.860Anyhow, back to the letters. Hello, Ezra. I want to thank you for the presence you've been during
00:04:14.580this pandemic. It's amazing that you thought of crowdfunding for fines. It seemed a bit like
00:04:18.860the young boy's response as he threw jellyfish back in the sea. It matters to this one, but it
00:04:23.600has been crucial, and your support from people like Adam Skelly, Chris Scott, various store owners,
00:04:28.280and all the pastors, both in funding and exposure, has been tremendous. People were encouraged to keep
00:04:32.560going because they realized that as far as the rebel, and your followers are concerned,
00:04:36.880they were not alone. Long may you and your wonderful team of reporters, camera crews,
00:04:40.520and tech guys keep going. I'm so privileged to know you. Verna Moorcroft, Ontario.
00:04:46.820Well, thank you, and we have a lot of friends named Moorcroft. I'm sure they're related.
00:04:52.300Adam Skelly, we interviewed him, and we certainly covered the police raid on his restaurant. There
00:04:57.880were 100 cops, horses, cars. It was just insane. It was a shock and awe, abuse of police. And I think
00:05:06.140that that's been one of the narratives of this pandemic, is how police have allowed themselves
00:05:10.160to be political intimidators, sort of stormtroopers. And I say this as someone who, for the first 47
00:05:15.520years of my life, was a super fan of police, like unquestionably, irrationally pro-police.
00:05:22.680That's been broken in me, I regret to say. And Chris Scott, well, he certainly has fun. In fact,
00:05:29.940he spent time in jail just for keeping his whistle-stop diner open in the town of Mirror,
00:05:34.600Alberta. I mean, my point is, if you don't want to go to the, like, it's the only gas station in town.
00:05:39.660It's the only general store in town. It's the only restaurant in town. If you don't want to go there,
00:05:43.720fine, if you want to schlep to the next town. But seriously, to arrest him and jail him in the
00:05:50.260province of Alberta, whose motto is strong and free, just crazy. Now, by the way, I note that
00:05:55.100these aren't really questions. I said, ask me anything. These are more love letters.
00:06:02.840All I want for Christmas is a new family doctor. About a month ago, I blew out my back at work and
00:06:07.500needed a referral from my family doctor to get x-rays. He refused to see me in person because I don't
00:06:11.500have COVID vaccine yet. Long story short, I called the College of Physicians and Surgeons,
00:06:16.380explained the situation to them, and now they are investigating my doctor. It turns out he's
00:06:19.860outside college mandates on this specific issue. He's actually required to see unvaccinated people
00:06:24.680in person. Now my family and I have de-rostered with him and are looking for a new family doctor.
00:06:29.680Merry Christmas to everyone in Rebel. You're the best. Phil VT in Ontario. Again, I thought I was
00:06:34.780answering questions, but I do appreciate your story. I'm skeptical that the College of Physicians
00:06:41.900and Surgeons is going to do anything. I think they've been a tremendous failure to the pandemic.
00:06:46.700They have actually investigated doctors for giving medical advice that is appropriate to the patient.
00:06:52.660The difference between public health and actually a doctor that meets with a patient is a doctor and a
00:06:58.700patient learns about the patient, listens to the patient, gives advice particular to the patient,
00:07:03.520and the patient can take it or leave it. There's a relationship between the two, whereas a public
00:07:08.520health doctor may have an MD after their name, but they're not really a doctor. They're a bureaucrat or
00:07:14.900a politician with a degree, and they don't look at people as individuals to be cared about. They look
00:07:19.940at them as ants in an ant colony. There couldn't be anything more different between an MD who actually
00:07:25.440practices medicine and a public health tyrant. All right, maybe there's a question here.
00:07:29.720Ezra, it has been a pleasure to listen to your shows, and I'm very glad that you started Rebel News.
00:07:35.720Honest reporting is what is needed, and I'm thankful for yours and all that work at Rebel News for your
00:07:40.020hard work. I sincerely wish you God's blessings in your work. A blessed Christmas, a happy and blessed
00:07:44.840year to you, your family, and all. Tim Vandenand. Well, that's great, Tim. I appreciate that. You know,
00:07:50.780we had an illegal Christmas party a few days ago. I'm not going to tell you the secret location
00:07:57.360where we had it, and we engaged in a little bit of human trafficking to bring in some unvaxxed people
00:08:02.120from afar. The good news is that Rebel is strong. The bad news is we're strong because the world is
00:08:12.000burning, and sort of we're firemen. So I would rather be a fireman who just sits and plays chess
00:08:18.900all day in the firehouse, rather than a fireman who's called into the fire every day. I want to
00:08:23.200be like the Maytag repairman, just sort of lonely. Unfortunately, the world is going the wrong
00:08:28.920direction, and our motto is telling the other side of the story. There's more demand than ever. I wish
00:08:34.160the world were boring. Here's one from the U.S. of A. Hello, Ezra. I thoroughly enjoy your live
00:08:41.040streams on Rebel News. It's always exciting to hear your point of view. I actually have two questions for
00:08:44.580you. Since I'm American, I'm actually curious as to what Canadian actually is. So how would you
00:08:50.940describe Canada's values, core beliefs, and identity? And on another note, I heard critical
00:08:56.600race theory is also in Canada. Is there a big movement against it like in America? Why am I
00:09:01.420not? Also have a blessed holiday season and keep up the amazing journalism, signed Nebula USA. Well,
00:09:07.860thank you for this. On the first point, you know, Canada was a few things. It was French explorers and
00:09:16.400settlers in New France, which is now called Quebec, and it was British North America, part of British
00:09:22.340North America, and after the American Revolution, those who were loyal to the king came north. There was a
00:09:31.040phrase, united empire loyalists. So those are the folks. So they brought with them some political
00:09:36.520sensibility. Now, I'm not saying that 200 plus years later that still defines the country. Other
00:09:42.900things do too. Socialism has crept in to our country through two Trudeaus now. I think that we're a little
00:09:51.780bit more European in some of our sensibilities, and we don't have the robust American constitution to
00:09:57.100strengthen our freedoms. But we are closer to America than we are to anyone else. We're seamless
00:10:03.320almost. And so that's what I think we're Canadian is. It's between Europe and America on a bunch of
00:10:12.560different spectrums. On your question about critical race theory, it is in Canada, but not as deeply
00:10:21.880rooted as in the United States. It's one of those knockoffs, like Occupy Wall Street. I understand
00:10:27.660Occupy Wall Street because there was a big bank bailout in the States, but there were no banks
00:10:31.780bailed out in the 2008 financial crisis in Canada. So having an Occupy Toronto movement was just a
00:10:37.960copycat, was just a colonization by Americans, but it just didn't fit here. I think a lot of that is
00:10:44.360the same with critical race theory and Black Lives Matter. You may know that Canada, as part of the
00:10:49.920British Empire, abolished slavery very, more than two centuries ago, abolished the trade of slaves,
00:10:57.860and then sooner than most other places in the world, abolished the owning of slaves. The Royal Navy
00:11:05.140and their West Africa squadron hunted for slave trading ships for 50 years and freed literally hundreds
00:11:13.400of thousands of thousands of slaves en route from Africa to America. So that's part of the Canadian
00:11:20.480tradition. Not only being part of the British fight against slavery, the abolition of slavery, but being
00:11:28.300the destination at the end of the Underground Railways. So that's a little bit of that for you.
00:11:34.060Well, here's a friendly one from a buddy of mine. Thank you for the invitations to partake in sane
00:11:42.960conversation. Something that has been in short supply the last two years. A Merry Christmas and
00:11:48.040blessed Kwanzaa to all. That's from our friend Andrew Lawton at True North. The True North Initiative,
00:11:55.960of our good friends. That's at TNC. That's so friendly. That's our buddy Andrew. You know, we have
00:12:01.060him on the show all the time, and in case he has me on his show, too. All right, I'm going to keep
00:12:05.140reading. I'm having some fun. I'm warming up to this. There's not a lot of questions. That wasn't
00:12:09.160there. There was no question there. All right. I wish you were seated next to me on a long plane ride.
00:12:17.540We'd have so much fun talking about conservative issues. The time would fly by. Bruce Atchison, Alberta.
00:12:22.720Well, Bruce, you think you'd like that. You think you'd like that. Would you really?
00:12:31.800I sort of spill over. Like, this is a nice wide chair, really nice and comfy. If we were next to
00:12:39.060each other, I would be like this, and I would, I'm, you know what, not because I'm an aggressive
00:12:43.440territorial conqueror, but I sort of spill out over the armrest. Because there's a lot of me, Bruce.
00:12:49.140And I think it would be a good conversation, but I think you would, you would sort of, especially
00:12:54.120if I was in the middle seat, I think you would like that for about 15 minutes. But it's nice
00:12:59.340of you to suggest that I appreciate this. I gotta keep going. I'm just going to see how many, I got
00:13:03.320a whole bag of these. Can you believe it? Oh, here's a short one. Merry Christmas. Happy New
00:13:10.200Year. Hang tough. And keep fighting for freedom. From Paul McCullough. Well, Paul, it's nice to hear
00:13:16.800from you again. Thanks very much. I see some familiar names here. We will keep fighting
00:13:21.180for freedom. In answer to the point earlier about the Fight the Fines project, I think
00:13:29.140that was actually, if I had to list the number one accomplishment that we've had this year,
00:13:33.420it would be the spinoff of our non-profit work. Like, Fight the Fines was always sort of charitable
00:13:41.580in nature, right? Like crowdfunding money to hire lawyers to help other people. That's not really
00:13:48.040like a business. That was always sort of non-profit in its feeling. So to spin that project off to a
00:13:54.240registered charity, thedemocracyfund.ca, and just to be able to have that charity issue charity tax
00:14:02.480receipts, and to do all that stuff that's not really a, that's not really business. It's more
00:14:08.320charity. And that enabled us to help so many more people. So there's about 2,100 people that the
00:14:15.340Democracy Fund is helping, uh, fight the fines. And then the Democracy Fund has taken on a bunch of
00:14:21.940vaccine cases. Those are a lot harder to fight. And we haven't yet found our groove yet on that,
00:14:27.000but we're working on it. Here's a friendly one. Dear Ezra, E is for excellence, which Ezra exudes. Z is
00:14:34.720for zealot, the zeal of this dude. R is for rebel, the news that is real. A, the admiration, all rebel
00:14:41.520is for real. Heartfelt respect, gratitude, and admiration always to Ezra and the Rebel News team.
00:14:46.400All the very best for the Christmas season and the year ahead, Louise Barnett, Alberta. Louise, that is
00:14:50.460so nice, and that's a great poem. He got the rhyme and the rhythm. And, um, and we do have zeal. You
00:14:56.920know, I've heard people describe us. I'm, you know, I mentioned earlier that I'm, I'm Jewish. I'm not
00:15:01.480Christian, even though I'm dressed sort of like a hobo Santa. But, um, uh, I've, I've had people
00:15:08.960describe rebel news in different ways. Some people use the word, um, it's a mission, and that's true.
00:15:14.860Some people have used the phrase calling. That's sort of heavy. One friend of mine, Leo, said, um,
00:15:22.660it's a ministry, which is a very Christian word, isn't it? Like to minister, like a minister in a
00:15:30.020congregation. But, you know, it's true. We are a ministry of ideas and of, of works. I believe that
00:15:37.220everyone in our company feels that way. I mean, you don't get to meet everyone because I think
00:15:41.640there's a grand total of 17 people in our company who occasionally appear on camera. But there are
00:15:49.24033 other people in the company who are never on camera. They're video editors. They're an
00:15:55.560accountant. There's a, uh, chief operating officer. There's, um, you know, lawyers. So there's a lot
00:16:04.080of people you don't see for it. For every person who's on TV, we, we actually, now that I think of
00:16:08.820the math, have two people behind the scenes. But I believe that even the people who aren't directly,
00:16:14.420uh, implicated in the ideological editorial work, I feel like they have a sense of mission and
00:16:19.880ministry. Uh, here's a short one. What do you think the implications for free speech are with
00:16:26.800the recent revelation of Julian Assange's extradition for prosecution in the U.S.? Signed, Jason Farrell,
00:16:33.440Ireland. I'll start with an anecdote and then I'll answer your question. When I visited Tommy Robinson
00:16:39.380at HMP Belmarsh, Her Majesty's Prison Belmarsh in the U.K., when he was serving time there for
00:16:46.100contempt of court, he was in a special handling unit called The Suites, um, that was designed for
00:16:52.560extreme cases. There were a lot of terrorists in this prison, by the way. It's really the U.K.'s
00:16:57.780version of Guantanamo Bay. That is where their terrorists go, their worst murderers. There were
00:17:02.080three prisoners in the special handling unit where Tommy was. Tommy was one of them. He was some murderer,
00:17:07.920and you could hear his hollering through the stone walls. And the third prisoner was Julian
00:17:14.020Assange. Can you believe that? It was really like a political prison wing. Um, about Julian
00:17:19.940Assange, I looked into his case more than a decade ago, probably, you know, right at the time when he
00:17:29.120made news the first time when he was arrested. And the information that I got at the time
00:17:35.240was that he had released secret information about the U.S. military that gave away the identities and
00:17:47.460secrets that caused, uh, terrorists to be able to kill, uh, American agents or, or tipsters, that he
00:17:58.420really breached, um, the national security of America. And for example, how to defeat some American
00:18:08.260technology, uh, and that would set off IEDs. So I guess what I'm saying is when I first learned about
00:18:16.260Julian Assange, it's clear to me in retrospect that what I learned was the information of the
00:18:22.960national security point of view. You could call it the deep state. Um, there were, there were certain
00:18:29.520things that I observed, like Wiki, uh, WikiLeaks was started with the goal of challenging dictatorships
00:18:37.180like China and Venezuela. And then I saw that this one fella, Julian Assange, focused on America,
00:18:45.080and it set me against him. And I wrote that he was a spy. And I wrote that, I don't know, 10 or 15
00:18:52.860years ago. And frankly, I didn't revisit the subject for 10 or 15 years. But it's only in the last couple
00:19:00.040of years that I have reconsidered the matter. And I don't think I'm ready to declare myself
00:19:05.340an Assange fan. I'm just honestly not. I haven't spent enough time to familiarize myself with the
00:19:11.280subject. But rather what has happened is that my credulous approach to the narrative of the national
00:19:19.920security military industrial complex has been shattered. Just like I said, for the first 47
00:19:26.840years of my life, really police could do no wrong in my mind. I mean, I would support police in 99.9999%
00:19:35.600in the cases. That's gone. And so is my credulous approach to the narratives of the CIA and the FBI
00:19:44.240because I see how politicized and weaponized they are. I don't know enough about Julian Assange
00:19:49.240to give you a deeper answer to that, other than to say, if I could turn back the hands of time to when
00:19:55.280I wrote my original work about him a decade ago, I don't think I would have written that because I
00:20:00.000don't think I continue to trust the CIA, the NSA, the Pentagon in general when it comes to Julian
00:20:09.300Assange. I just, I've seen too much about what they do. So that's sort of a way of saying I don't know.
00:20:16.440Holy moly! This is a four-page letter. This is a four-page letter. I'm not going to read the whole
00:20:22.660thing, but I'll read a bit. Dear Mr. Levan, my name is Serena Johnson. I'm a blind student at
00:20:26.840King's University in Edmonton, Alberta. The university began implementing strict COVID
00:20:31.480restrictions that have harmed my way of life. Before my classes began on September 8th, 2021,
00:20:37.020every student at King's was asked to fill out a survey about their vaccination status.
00:20:40.580Whether or not people had obtained vaccinations for any illnesses had not mattered to the university
00:20:44.400until this point. The fact that they requested people's vaccination status regarding COVID deeply
00:20:48.760troubled me. I believe that whether people choose to obtain this shot or not should be considered
00:20:52.440private medical information. I stated that directly on the survey. The university
00:20:56.680also announced that a clinic would be open at the school on September 16th for those who wish to
00:21:01.400get the shot. On September 8th, my first day back at school, I noticed a negative shift in the
00:21:06.640school's atmosphere. My educational assistant began pressuring me aggressively to get the shot.
00:21:13.200It's all up to you, the people who need to be vaccinated, if we get back to normal or not,
00:21:17.480she said. Isn't that the truth? They're really saying, it's a blame thing, aren't they?
00:21:21.920This was unusual behavior that I had not seen from her before. It honestly disturbed me that someone
00:21:28.220who I respected would harass me for having different beliefs. On September 16th and 17th,
00:21:32.880the school was closed due to the restriction exemption program. That's Kenny's vaccine passport
00:21:39.240scheme. Enforcing tighter controls on Alberta's businesses. These measures would come into effect
00:21:44.140starting September 27th. Now, this is a very interesting letter, and I will read it, but I'm
00:21:51.840not going to read the whole thing now, just because in the interest of time, I am six credits away from
00:21:59.440a three-year bachelor of arts. My GPA is high. Being forced to walk away like this saddens me because I
00:22:04.760love to learn. School was my life. Without that to turn to, my purpose and freedom have been removed.
00:22:10.640That's a very sad but commonplace story. All I want is to be treated like a human being rather
00:22:18.540than a third-class creature. I will continue to fight for my freedom. Now that I am no longer in
00:22:23.260university, I have ample time to pursue this goal. I hope that my story inspires others to fight for
00:22:27.600their rights as well. Sincerely, Serena Johnson. Well, this is a very sad story, Serena, and I have to
00:22:33.900tell you that my email box is like a waterfall of tears. I get dozens of stories like this from people
00:22:44.280who are forced to leave their jobs, forced to leave their schooling, or people who cannot make that
00:22:52.080choice, forced to undergo an injection contrary to their wishes. For those who say it's consent,
00:22:59.520I invite them to look at the criminal code definition of extortion. It is not free and
00:23:07.340informed consent to say, for example, here's a false choice. Your money or your life? Like that's the
00:23:14.360cliche of a mugger jumping out of an alley with a gun. Your money or your life? I'm giving you the
00:23:19.840choice, man. I'm not forcing you to do anything. You have the choice. Your money or your life?
00:23:24.480Well, hey, your choice. I'm fine. Or it would be like three people voting, the two of us voting to
00:23:31.640take your money. Hey, it was a democratic vote. No. It violates basic civil liberties that are immune to
00:23:41.500majority rules. And it's not a real choice when you take away someone's job or their livelihood or
00:23:48.300their access to the public square and in Serena's case demonizing her. It's terrible.
00:23:54.480Ezra, greetings from a longtime Rebel supporter. I can't emphasize enough how important Rebel is to
00:23:59.540the Canadian media landscape. Rebel is the only right-wing media organization of significance in
00:24:03.220the country dominated by middle and left-wing news outlets. The past two years have been a
00:24:07.340shocking revelation to me. I've come to realize the ugly truth that a healthy, stable democracy can
00:24:11.980quickly descend into oppressive authoritarianism. The central principles of democracy, free speech,
00:24:17.000freedom of assembly, and the right to protest have been trampled underfoot. The police have been
00:24:20.520turned from protecting the public to bullies who become violent oppressors of those who
00:24:24.200just want to protest peacefully. Equally shocking is that most of the public seem to be fine
00:24:28.520with what's happening. It is sad how few have the courage to stand up and say that this is wrong.
00:24:33.680In such an atmosphere, your work and that of Rebel has become amplified in importance. I wish you and
00:24:38.520everyone of the Rebel the very best for the coming year. Paul Williamson, Alberta. Paul, this was
00:24:42.340supposed to be ask me anything. I'm joking around. Thank you for the very friendly words. And
00:24:47.400unfortunately, it's true. As I said at the very beginning, near the beginning, we've had our most
00:24:53.060successful year ever in terms of viewership and the growth of the company. We're twice as large now
00:24:59.180than we were a year ago. When we have staff meetings, we sort of joke about how many, who's the old
00:25:05.420hand? Someone who we hired six months ago is now like the dean of the company because we, in fact,
00:25:11.840we had someone start new just this very morning. So we're growing. We have more views. We're twice the
00:25:19.160views of a year ago. But this is all because we're in a crisis. And there are a handful of other, I'm not even
00:25:28.580going to use the word right-linging because because being against big pharma, being for bodily autonomy and
00:25:34.840your choice, you know, my body, my choice, supporting labor union workers against unions that sell them out to the
00:25:42.560corporations for a VAX mandate. Is that right wing? Is it right wing to say, for like a young woman to say,
00:25:51.980I don't want to take a forced injection because I'm worried about my ability to have kids. And this
00:25:56.900isn't tested yet in the long term. Or I don't want to, I'm really into natural health. I'm extremely fit.
00:26:03.020I watch what goes into my body. I don't feel like I'm at risk from the vaccine. I don't want to be
00:26:08.980forced to enjoy. Is that right wing? Does I support that person? Traditionally, that's what the left
00:26:12.860wingers would say. Look at our Afghan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Look at Naomi Wolf. Those are not
00:26:17.760right wingers. I can't even believe, believe it. There's this communist named Max Blumenthal
00:26:25.000who I used to, frankly, despise when he would talk about, you know, economic systems. But for some
00:26:34.100reason, he's a commie who cares about individual liberty. I didn't know there was such a thing.
00:26:38.880I can't, I can't stop retweeting what he says. My point is left and right don't quite make sense
00:26:44.060anymore. When you have Doug Ford and Jason Kenney, two right wingers using authoritarian, Jason Kenney,
00:26:52.900arresting pastors and jailing them. I don't even know what right wing and left wing is anymore.
00:26:58.020But I know I'm on the side of freedom and personal choice and individuals. And that's put me in league
00:27:03.420with people who I would never even talk to a couple years ago. Now there are other friends
00:27:07.340like True North News, TNC.news. We had a fun letter from Andrew Lawton. Western Standard Online,
00:27:14.880a magazine name I had something to do with 20 years ago. You know, it's not a lot. I'm running
00:27:22.600out of names. There's individuals, Spencer Fernando. There's a few. But really, you're right to say
00:27:28.140when we're the largest. And that makes me very sad. All right, here's the letter. Again,
00:27:36.020I don't see a question in it. Hello, Ezra. I would like to tell you a true story of the Grinch
00:27:40.580who stole my son's Christmas. My son, Oliver, practices water polo five times a week for at
00:27:44.560least two hours. Water polo is everything to him and he hopes one day he will pay off for the
00:27:48.080scholarship. I'm going to skip ahead. Without ever, we have already, okay, I won't skip ahead.
00:27:55.060He has a medical condition which makes the COVID shot very risky for his heart.
00:27:59.680His doctor has granted him a medical exemption after a great deal of tests and scrutiny.
00:28:04.500His medical exemption is accepted by all parties except Water Polo Canada.
00:28:09.300They contracted a doctor who graduated in 2019 to deny his medical exemption days before the first
00:28:15.380national champion league tournament earlier this month. We've already paid for him to attend the
00:28:20.740National Sports Academy, airfares for the season, and sign him up for a year-round water polo club.
00:28:25.060Without ever talking to or assessing my son, this inexperienced doctor felt entitled to deny him
00:28:29.880from playing in any competitive capacity. My Christmas wishes for you to look into the doctor's
00:28:34.100accreditation, so I don't even believe he holds a medical position judging by the fact he used his
00:28:38.300university email and gmail account for rejecting my son from playing. I believe the Water Polo Canada
00:28:43.540board is taking vaccine politics to a whole new level with this decision that's hurting my son
00:28:47.800greatly. Thank you and have a Merry Christmas. Best regards, Mike Peltzner.
00:28:51.440That's an atrocious story. The fact that your son's doctor, and I said this before, you know,
00:28:57.480an MD focuses on a patient, gets to know them over the course of time, years, maybe even decades,
00:29:04.220knows them, examines them, talks to them, understands them, and you say after a great deal of scrutiny,
00:29:10.080and some newly minted MD, if that is even his status, hired specifically to be a counter-doctor,
00:29:19.280an anti-doctor, is a disgrace. It's a disgrace to medicine, by the way, and shame on the College
00:29:25.160of Physicians and Surgeons. All right, I'm going to look for something that actually has a question in it.
00:29:30.060There's no question here, but I'm going to read it anyways.
00:29:35.780Merry Christmas, Ezra. I hope you also had a happy Hanukkah. I recall the story of Hanukkah
00:29:39.100that preceded the miracle of the Eight Nights of Lights, that story where Judas Maccabees
00:29:43.220and some good Jewish men deposed Antiochus Epiphanes took back the second temple and physically and
00:29:48.880ceremonially cleansed and prepared and repaired it. These days, the story takes on an even greater meaning
00:29:53.700with Justin Trudeau as both Antiochus Epiphanes and his own pagan statue, Jupiter Olympus,
00:29:59.540thus defiling our country like Epiphanes did with the temple. Keep up the good and most necessary work.
00:30:05.020You and the rebel do. Yours truly, Don Edward Cook from Ontario. I tell you, you got your history,
00:30:10.500you got your Old Testament in there. Appreciate the Hanukkah shout-out. Thank you very much.
00:30:15.260And I think you're right. I think Justin Trudeau sort of worships himself.
00:30:19.200I'm glancing at this letter. I do not see a question mark. I do not see... This was supposed to be Ask Ezra.
00:30:28.000Ask. Ask implies a question, not tell Ezra. Dear Ezra. Okay, well, thank you.
00:30:35.140I cannot tell you just how much your show presence and revolution has meant to be over this past year,
00:30:38.740what a year it has been, two years really. Hearing your voice brings me calm and sanity in a time when no one can feel very alone.
00:30:45.180I should say, a lot of people, when they hear my voice, say the opposite. So thank you.
00:30:52.820I've often wondered throughout the day week, am I the only one that thinks this is nuts?
00:30:56.700And then I listen to Rebel News, you on your broadcast, and I'm reminded, no.
00:31:00.040I'm the same one here. I have people. I'm not alone. I'm thankful that my husband and I are like-minded.
00:31:04.940And few for those who are divided in households. You know, that is such an important point.
00:31:08.520There are some times, and that's the worst part of this pandemic, is people pitted against each other.
00:31:13.560The government is atrocious, of course. But when you have shopkeepers pitted against customers and families divided, that is the worst thing.
00:31:23.540I remember I used to read stories in the New York Times,
00:31:27.060I'm divorcing my husband because I'm anti-Trump and he's pro-Trump.
00:31:30.720And I thought, that is an awful way to live. You're breaking up your marriage over Trump?
00:40:12.660Well, the Giants are obviously going to beat the Bulls or whatever.
00:40:17.320He would ascribe, you know, he would decide which team is going to win by thinking, well, who's, you know, the Flames would beat the Oilers.
00:40:26.020Because the Flames would catch the oil on fire.
