In Davos, a bunch of Swiss police pulled me over and asked if I was a cop, and I said yes, and they wouldn t say a word about it. And then they said, "It's a free country, right? Why not?" and waved me through another check stop.

00:00:00.000 Hello, my friends. Today, I'm in Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum
00:00:04.160 is having their annual secretive get-together. I go through a few things today, my hunt for the
00:00:09.920 billionaires and their private jets, a brief but friendly interaction with the police,
00:00:15.760 and a few other things on my mind. But to see it, as opposed to just hear it in a podcast,
00:00:20.700 you've got to get the video version. Please go to rebelnewsplus.com. It's eight bucks a month,
00:00:25.660 but you get my show every weeknight and other goodies, too. And by the way, we need the money
00:00:30.380 because we don't take any money from the government, none from Justin Trudeau, and it shows.
00:00:34.980 All right, here's today's podcast.
00:00:40.940 You're listening to our latest podcast.
00:00:43.220 Tonight, how do billionaires get from their home city to Davos, Switzerland? It's one of the things
00:00:56.380 we spent the day looking into. It's January 17th, and this is The Ezra LeVant Show.
00:01:02.540 You fighting for freedom!
00:01:05.900 Shame on you, you censorious bug!
00:01:13.220 Welcome back. I'm in Davos, Switzerland, and I'm standing in front of the Black Rock
00:01:22.820 Pavilion. They don't like that. They already came up to us today and said, get out. And I said,
00:01:28.500 are you a cop? What's your name? And they wouldn't say. And you know what? One of the things I like
00:01:33.420 about Switzerland is that their police have a very light touch. In fact, I think a lot of the
00:01:38.440 police who have been assigned to protect the VVIPs at Davos don't much like the job. I don't think
00:01:46.020 they're an ideological police force. They're sort of what Canadian and British and Australian
00:01:51.340 and American police were like a generation ago, which is following Sir Robert Peel's rules of
00:01:58.320 policing, which is to be extremely neutral and nonpartisan and keep the trust of all segments
00:02:05.180 in society. I get the feeling that's how Swiss police are. They're not the kind of political
00:02:10.900 bullies that we see so often in the West. And I say that because, as you know, in our first
00:02:16.060 trip in to Davos, we were pulled over. The police said, oh, I don't like those cameras. And I said,
00:02:22.900 it's a free country, right? And literally, in less than a minute, he waved us through. Remember
00:02:27.200 how that went down?
00:02:32.920 How are you today? Hello. How are you? No good. No good? Why not? Oh, yes. No good. Why is there
00:02:39.740 no good? But it's a free country, right? Thanks very much. All the best. Bye-bye.
00:02:48.300 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Well, today we went through another check stop,
00:02:56.200 another police check stop. And today was the big official first day. So you could see all
00:03:01.620 the police and the soldiers really flexing their muscles. So we were driving through the
00:03:07.240 second police check stop. And we had our phones out sort of conspicuously filming the police.
00:03:14.300 And they're so sensitive about that. In North America, police assume they're being filmed.
00:03:20.200 And police are often filming you wearing body cams. By the way, if you want to know my opinion
00:03:24.100 on that, I think it's a good thing. I think it keeps everybody better behaved because police
00:03:30.100 know that they cannot commit any misconduct without it being on tape. And people cannot make false
00:03:35.200 accusations against police, which happens quite a bit, by the way. I like the fact that police
00:03:41.200 wear body cams. Well, here in Switzerland, police are very much obsessed with privacy,
00:03:46.780 including their own privacy. And I should tell you that the only friction we've had,
00:03:52.400 and it's been very gentle friction with police has been over their own privacy. And you've seen me say
00:03:58.020 to at least one police officer that I would blur their appearance. They just don't want to be famous.
00:04:02.740 They don't want to be branded as world economic foreign types. They are not here in the service of
00:04:08.220 Klaus Schwab. They're here because the government says, keep law and order, make sure there's no
00:04:12.700 terrorism, make sure there's no violence. For example, Antifa. There is a tiny exception to that,
00:04:20.140 which is some of the police wear little patches on their arms that say WEF police. Now that is not a
00:04:27.320 formal thing. That's sort of a mission badge that some police here wear, just like a memento,
00:04:32.620 like a souvenir, like a mission they served on together. That caused some consternation when
00:04:38.980 it happened last year. But we have discovered, sorry, I shouldn't say we, a fellow citizen
00:04:45.120 journalist has discovered that there is another WEF police patch going on. Take a look at this tweet
00:04:52.780 by our friend, Masako. I call her our friend because she is our friend. She's from Japan. And I was
00:05:03.080 sitting, in fact, just over there, there's the, you know, the heart of darkness, BlackRock, and with
00:05:09.300 their black tinted CIA type vans. What are they doing in these black tinted window black vans all day?
00:05:16.680 I do not know. But it can't be good. Well, there's BlackRock over there. And just over there,
00:05:22.880 I don't know if that's pronounced co-op. I presume it is. But that's the restaurant where,
00:05:27.780 like, it's a grocery store on the main floor. And then the top floor, it's sort of like a grocery
00:05:32.000 store restaurant with big tables. And you're allowed to sit there and sort of camp out and work. In fact,
00:05:38.660 some delegates are in there. Some, it's just a great place when it's chilly out to camp out there.
00:05:46.840 They have free Wi-Fi. The food is pretty healthy and pretty affordable. So it's sort of, this is our
00:05:53.000 hangout here. And we're sitting in there having lunch yesterday. And this lady approaches Avi with a
00:06:03.000 kind of jubilation. And I got my hackles up. I thought, uh-oh, is this some world economic forum
00:06:08.740 type is going to get Avi in trouble? But I mean, she was a very petite lady. And I wasn't particularly
00:06:14.060 worried for Avi who can take care of himself. No, it was not a hater. It was a super fan.
00:06:21.280 And Masako said that she watched Avi Yamini's broadcast on Rebel News last spring when he was here.
00:06:29.960 And she loved them so much. She was literally inspired to become a citizen journalist and come
00:06:38.140 to Davos herself. And indeed she is. Don't tell me we're not making a difference. In Japan of all
00:06:45.180 places. So good for Masako for breaking that news about the WEF patch that some police are wearing.
00:06:53.320 Anyways, back to our second encounter with the police. And I'm spending too much time talking about this
00:06:58.640 because it's not that important. It wasn't a crisis. As you saw yesterday, our entire time at
00:07:05.420 the police checkpoint was less than one minute. Well, today they were on high alert. It was their
00:07:10.240 opening day. They were being careful. We drove by. We had our cameras out conspicuously. So they waved
00:07:16.540 us over. And we rolled down the windows and they demanded that we put away our cameras.
00:07:22.520 But I want to let you know that before we came to Switzerland, we hired a lawyer in Zurich,
00:07:30.760 Switzerland, to brief us on the media laws. You know, we do that a lot. I think you know that
00:07:36.820 when we sent Jeremy Lafredo to Moscow, we actually hired a Moscow criminal lawyer to make sure we knew
00:07:43.800 all the rules and do's and don'ts. And importantly, if Jeremy got arrested, we had someone in the
00:07:49.540 country, we could call for help immediately. We wouldn't have to start searching through the
00:07:53.640 Moscow phone book at night to find help. Well, we've done that here in Switzerland, too. We have
00:07:58.620 a law firm in Zurich that has briefed us on media law. And here's the slight quirks. Number one,
00:08:05.420 you are allowed to film the police, just like in the West. But, and this is the same in Canada,
00:08:12.100 you're filming the police cannot interfere or obstruct them. That's obviously the same in Canada,
00:08:17.100 too. And I mean, so you couldn't expose their operations in real time. That's the same in
00:08:24.240 Canada, too. But they have another wrinkle. Here in Switzerland, and think about it, Swiss banks,
00:08:30.060 privacy, you know, it's sort of a Swiss tradition. You aren't allowed to broadcast the face of an
00:08:38.420 individual cop without their permission, unless there's an important public policy reason to do so.
00:08:45.160 So if a cop pulls you over for a speeding ticket or a road check like this, and if you're filming
00:08:52.760 them, you can film them. But you cannot broadcast their face without blurring it. So we knew the law
00:09:00.840 and we told this. That's the ringing of the bells. I don't know if Klaus Schwab has passed away,
00:09:07.880 and they're having a conclave to elect the next pope of the World Economic Forum. I should tell you that
00:09:14.480 we learned that Klaus Schwab is ill, and he will not be attending the World Economic Forum today. We
00:09:21.680 also learned that George Soros, another superfan of the World Economic Forum, is not attending this
00:09:27.040 year. I presume that's what the bells are about. I'm kidding, of course. One of the interesting things
00:09:32.380 about staying in Switzerland is you hear church bells ringing out the hour all the time. It's a rather
00:09:37.680 pleasant experience, and every small town in Switzerland does it. I hope you can hear me
00:09:42.560 nonetheless. I'll press on. So we were driving through this check stop, and our phones were out
00:09:48.240 conspicuously, and they pulled us over, and they started asking questions. And I guess it's my instinct,
00:09:55.680 after living through the last three years of bullying police during the lockdowns, of bullying
00:10:02.000 Avi Yamini like this. Cover your nose and your mouth. Okay. You are not accredited media. Sorry?
00:10:08.160 You are not accredited media. I'm not. You're saying I'm not accredited media.
00:10:13.280 Show me your accredited media pass issued by Victoria police. And Victoria police actually told us that
00:10:18.800 they've cancelled your accredited media pass issued by Victoria police. And like this.
00:10:29.120 I'm being arrested. I've asked if I'm under arrest a couple of times, and I'm being forcibly ejected.
00:10:35.360 I've got my national media press card, which is issued, the accreditation issued by the federal
00:10:45.520 government. So right now, a journalist is being physically removed from doing his job,
00:10:52.720 from reporting on the streets of Melbourne. And bullying him like this.
00:10:57.840 Right now. Why am I under arrest?
00:11:00.080 I am media. I need that.
00:11:05.840 I've got my permit in my pocket.
00:11:10.720 My permit is in my pocket. I'm fine. I'm fine. I've got my permit in my pocket.
00:11:16.880 I work for Rebel News. I am lawfully here. I've got my permit in my pocket.
00:11:23.600 My permit is in my pocket. That and how they bullied Drea Humphrey like this.
00:11:30.800 You talked about Canada's last wrongs, the past things they haven't done right. When will you speak
00:11:35.360 out about the 20 vandalized churches? They're burning churches and vandalizing them. And you're
00:11:40.960 not calling it a hate crime. And how they did atrocious things to David like this.
00:11:47.760 What is this? I'm on a sidewalk.
00:11:55.280 What is this? You cannot touch me. No Russian word.
00:11:58.720 Are you kidding? Are you kidding? I told you. What is this?
00:12:11.120 You can't. Am I under arrest? Am I under arrest?
00:12:15.040 And the worst moment in our eight-year history when they shot Alexa like this.
00:12:20.240 Oh! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!
00:12:40.480 So those and a half dozen other police experiences were on my mind when the Swiss police asked us to
00:12:46.720 pull over. And so I wasn't particularly rude. And I don't know if I'd call myself aggressive.
00:12:52.240 But I was certainly stubborn. And I had questions like, and what if I don't turn off my phone?
00:12:58.800 Or do I really have to leave? I don't know. Here's how it went. It was about five minutes or so.
00:13:05.680 See for yourself and tell me. Was I too stubborn? Was I too confrontational?
00:13:12.160 Was I standing up for my rights? Here, take a look and let me know.
00:13:19.760 How are you? No filming, no camera. Here, please.
00:13:25.440 No police on camera. Where are you from? Canada.
00:13:32.480 Toronto. Toronto, Canada.
00:13:35.360 And what's the reason you are going to Davos? We're going to do journalism. Okay.
00:13:42.880 Thank you.
00:13:45.840 Go to the right side here, please. Okay.
00:13:54.960 Should I call my lawyer? If you want, you can. But turn off the mobile phone, please.
00:13:59.760 Yes. I asked our lawyer. Yes. About phoning. But you can stay in the car, thank you. I can stay in the car?
00:14:09.040 I'm not sure.
00:14:14.320 Should I call our lawyer now? Is he being detained? Is he being detained or arrested? We have a lawyer in Zurich.
00:14:20.800 We have a lawyer in Zurich. Sorry? We have a lawyer in Zurich. Is he being detained or arrested?
00:14:37.760 You can call the lawyer if you want. Okay, but is he being detained or arrested?
00:14:41.120 Just a control. What does that mean?
00:14:44.080 A control. We make control of the papers if everything is all right. But you can call wherever you want.
00:14:50.720 I know I can do that. I just want to know, does he have to go with you? No, he stays here.
00:14:56.080 Does he have to go with you? Normal traffic control. Does he have to go with you?
00:14:59.680 Pardon? Does that man have to go with you now? No. No one tells you that. Just normal traffic control.
00:15:08.320 If you charge him or arrest him. Are you recording? I don't have to answer that.
00:15:16.400 It's up to you. Thank you. But I ask you, are you recording right now?
00:15:20.800 I am following Swiss law, which says I may not publish personal images of police if it interferes with
00:15:31.760 their operations or if it identifies your passport as well. For what reason? I'm not driving. Okay.
00:15:38.720 You can get your passport? For what reason? Am I under arrest or am I being detained? Otherwise,
00:15:45.760 it's not possible to drive further. I'm not a driver. I'm not a driver. I'm not driving. It's up to you.
00:15:53.840 It's not allowed to make movies, nothing to record or to use this for internet or something else.
00:16:10.000 I'm aware of that. I've spoken with police and lawyers and we blur anyone's faces and we don't,
00:16:16.400 we do not interfere with police activity. We respect the police and we follow the law.
00:16:21.680 If you want to make some interview, just ask the people in front of you.
00:16:26.160 We always blur faces. We hide identities. We studied the Swiss law before we came here
00:16:32.480 and it is not our intention to break the law. Good. Okay.
00:16:36.720 And I meant what I said about Swiss police. We've dealt with police in many countries.
00:16:41.680 And I feel that the Swiss... We are friendly as well.
00:16:43.600 Well, not just that, but you respect civil liberties.
00:16:46.880 Thank you, Officer Miller. All right. Have a nice day.
00:16:49.920 Thank you. Bye-bye.
00:16:51.600 We just went through another police checkpoint on the way to Davos.
00:16:56.960 And I think they would have just waved us on through had we not been
00:17:00.400 sort of visibly, conspicuously holding cell phone cameras.
00:17:05.520 And we weren't using big professional cameras, but they sort of knew that we were aiming these
00:17:10.880 cell phones at them. So they pulled us over. They objected to us videoing, but I,
00:17:15.760 but we studied Swiss law before we came here. You're allowed to film, including police,
00:17:20.080 as long as you don't interrupt police activities. And you have to protect the personal privacy of
00:17:25.200 individual cops. And we've been following that law. And they asked our driver, Isaac, to look in the back,
00:17:36.080 which I guess you could call a warrantless search. But I wasn't particularly worried about it.
00:17:41.520 They said we were not being detained. It was just a regular traffic stop.
00:17:46.080 I gave them my passport when they said they would give it back.
00:17:48.560 I'm not going to say that you can't do a traffic stop in Switzerland. I don't know enough about the
00:17:56.800 traffic laws to say you can't search me. I'm not the driver. But in the end, they said you can go.
00:18:02.320 You know, I meant it when I said to the cop that Swiss police are my favorite in the world.
00:18:08.880 If I had been obstinate like that in Canada, I'd probably have gotten a ticket, maybe even worse.
00:18:14.880 Did you catch when the cop said, we are nice? No, no, no. I don't care about a cop being nice.
00:18:22.080 I actually don't want a cop to be nice. But I want a cop to care about civil liberties.
00:18:29.200 And that's what the Swiss police care about. And that is why I love them. The Swiss police here,
00:18:34.720 who had every opportunity to do bad things to us, like Canadian, British, Australian and other police
00:18:40.800 have done, didn't do anything bad, even when we were being a little bit in transition. I have to
00:18:45.920 tell you, I actually felt like I had been a little bit mean to the cop. And that is not a feeling I
00:18:51.840 normally feel. Anyways, that was not the highlight of the day. But it was an interesting illustration of
00:18:59.440 what an old fashioned civil liberties first Robert Peel style police force is like. I got to say, it reminds
00:19:07.520 me of the old joke, and I mangled it yesterday when I tried to tell it. Heaven is a French cook,
00:19:16.400 an Italian lover, a German mechanic, and a Swiss policeman. Hell, let me see if I can get the joke
00:19:23.520 right. Hell is a German policeman, an Italian mechanic. Oh, I can't remember it. But I got the most important
00:19:34.160 parts. And so I would indeed want to be policed by Swiss police anytime I could. I'll have to keep
00:19:40.400 practicing that joke. But let me tell you what we spent the most of the day on. We've got a team of
00:19:45.360 three journalists and four support staff out here in Davos. So Avi Yamini was working the strip here,
00:19:54.320 this main street in Davos during the day. And Callum Smiles was doing projects with them too.
00:20:02.240 While I was in a vehicle going to airstrips nearby. Because Davos itself does not have an
00:20:10.080 airport right here. There are two small airports about an hour drive away. And from what we've learned,
00:20:18.800 billionaires and oligarchs who never fly commercial, they land their private jets typically at these small
00:20:25.120 airfields and then come to Davos from there. In fact, there have been famous photographs of all
00:20:33.120 the private jets lined up, just stacked up by the dozen. Even by the hundred, I understand that there
00:20:40.880 were a thousand flights in and out of these neighboring airports for private jets. So we went to one of the
00:20:48.320 private airstrips today in San Moritz, which is close to the Italian border. I recorded a little
00:20:55.920 video from down there. So let me break away and show you what I said when we were at the chilly,
00:21:02.160 foggy and snowy airport near San Moritz. I'm at a private airfield. Actually, it's not a private
00:21:09.360 airfield, but most of the jets that come here are private jets. Because an estimated 1,000
00:21:17.520 private jet flights serviced the Davos World Economic Forum Conclave last year. So I want to check
00:21:25.120 and see what it is this year. Well, you could see it was not clement weather. And they said that the
00:21:32.320 number of flights in that airport had fallen precipitously because of the weather. We will
00:21:38.400 try to go to another private jet airfield about an hour away tomorrow because I want to see these
00:21:47.040 private jets come in. I want to see the billionaires get out of the jets and go into the gas-guzzling
00:21:53.920 black SUVs like BlackRock has. And I want to see if I can identify them. There's some amazing web pages
00:22:00.640 out there these days like this one website I just signed up for called Flight Aware, which tracks
00:22:08.320 airplanes going in and out of any airport. And it actually tells you who owns the airplane if you look
00:22:15.040 at the number on the tail. Now, some rich people own their own planes. Many people just rent a private
00:22:21.600 jet. So we'll do our best to sort of track down who's coming. And as you saw when I was in San
00:22:27.600 Moritz today, they have very modest security at these private jets because they don't have hundreds
00:22:33.600 or even thousands of people pass through on any given day. It's just really like, well, it's as small
00:22:40.400 and intimate as can be. If we are able to catch an oligarch on the go, we actually might have a moment to
00:22:49.040 talk with them. But really, I just want that visual image. I want the visual image of a very,
00:22:56.080 very important person from the World Economic Federation getting off the plane, getting into a
00:23:02.480 black tinted window limousine and being whisked to Davos to tell you and me not to fly, not to drive,
00:23:11.360 to turn our heat down. We're going to go to one more place tomorrow, too. And that is the helipad
00:23:18.240 here in Davos. Because at the San Moritz airport, one of the workers said what's likely
00:23:24.800 is that the billionaires are flying into Zurich and taking a helicopter directly from Zurich
00:23:31.280 all the way to Davos for logistical reasons, for speed reasons, even for cost reasons,
00:23:38.960 because these small private airports are apparently very expensive. So I'm going to continue this hunt.
00:23:45.200 Obviously, I'm interested in buttonholing the VVIPs as I see them on the street. But I sort of do want
00:23:52.080 to catch some of these oligarchs in action and maybe have a chance just to ask some questions. And I
00:23:57.680 want to say this. I'm not against people being rich. I mean, I suppose it was a dream myself I had once.
00:24:04.880 I'm not against people earning a living and spending it on themselves and their families.
00:24:09.360 What I am against is those hedonistic, materialistic, maximum consumption billionaires
00:24:17.840 then coming to a condescending, hectoring, scowling Greta Thunberg festival like this
00:24:25.360 and telling you and me that we have to live small. When Leonardo DiCaprio from his yacht,
00:24:32.080 when Al Gore from his jet tells you and I that we have to, and Al Gore, by the way, is on the board
00:24:38.160 of the World Economic Forum. That's why I want to keep pursuing him. I have one more point I'd like to run
00:24:44.800 by you, which goes to my interest in these private jets. I think about Chrystia Freeland,
00:24:52.080 the Deputy Prime Minister of Canada who had other portfolios, including she was actually the finance
00:24:56.960 minister for a while. I don't know Chrystia Freeland personally, but I knew about her when she was
00:25:03.520 running first to parliament. I knew that she had come from the United States where she was an author
00:25:10.000 and a journalist and the disastrously unsuccessful leader of a digital news project with Reuters called
00:25:17.840 Reuters Next. There's some excellent investigative journalism about it out there. Chrystia Freeland
00:25:23.360 was put in charge of an enormous project, 200 staff, tens of millions of dollars. She had no idea
00:25:30.400 what she was doing. She listened to no one, appointed her own friends, wasted money, and she was so
00:25:37.520 disastrous that they didn't replace her when they fired her. They shut the whole project down
00:25:44.560 because it had been totally destroyed by her. That's a fact. She was really an unaccomplished
00:25:53.360 gossip. She wrote books like Plutocrats. If you don't know, Plutocrats basically means
00:26:01.280 extremely wealthy people who want to run the world. Well, that's what she's doing now.
00:26:06.640 She's on the board of Plutocrats.com, or as it's properly called, the World Economic Forum.
00:26:14.400 I read Plutocrats, or at least part of it, when it came out a few years ago.
00:26:19.920 It was so weird. It was ideologically incoherent. In one way, she was saying,
00:26:25.360 oh, these rich people are too powerful and too self-interested. But on the other hand,
00:26:31.040 you could tell she was just so excited to gawk at them and to bask in their glory and to interview
00:26:38.480 some of them. For those of you who are my age or older, you'll remember in the 1980s,
00:26:43.360 there was a TV show called Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, where a tabloid journalist would show
00:26:50.880 you into some of the most over-the-top rich people's houses and yards. Christian Freeland's book,
00:26:57.760 Plutocrats, was a less exciting written version of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. But by
00:27:05.680 writing that book, she smoothed with billionaires. And because she never held them to account,
00:27:11.040 she ingratiated herself with them. She started to run in their circles. She was hired to become
00:27:18.560 George Soros' authorized biographer. And in fact, that was her project on the eve of becoming elected
00:27:25.760 to Canada's parliament. When she moved back from New York City, where both her and her husband
00:27:31.920 had very high-powered jobs, she applied for a mortgage in Toronto. And she was so broke from
00:27:39.120 her disastrous business that she had to borrow money from her parents. I'm not making fun of
00:27:45.040 people who have to borrow money from their parents to buy a house. It's so expensive in Toronto and
00:27:50.240 Vancouver. No normal people can afford to buy a home without help from their family. It's just
00:27:56.320 a little weird that someone of that high station in life, who would go on to become finance minister
00:28:02.080 and deputy prime minister, had to borrow money from her parents. She was such a failure in business
00:28:08.800 and in life. Of course, Trudeau put her in charge of the Canadian economy. And of course,
00:28:14.880 she loves to come here to Davos to rub shoulders and hobnob with the world's billionaires. But my point
00:28:23.040 of mentioning Chrystia Freeland is not just to tell you how awful she is. But are you curious how she came
00:28:30.560 here? Did she fly commercial jam between two tourists? I don't think so. Did she use a Government of Canada
00:28:41.040 jet at taxpayers' expense to come here to work for the World Economic Forum? Could be. But boy,
00:28:47.920 that would be an abuse of taxpayers' money, wouldn't it? So what about that last option? Did Chrystia
00:28:54.720 Freeland come here on someone else's private jet? Did she come here on one of the many BlackRock
00:29:02.720 private jets? Did she come here on Bill Gates' jet or George Soros' jet? She used to be friends with
00:29:08.960 them. In fact, she still is. Those are the kind of questions you can normally
00:29:14.000 get answered when you're dealing with political people in a politically transparent setting. But
00:29:20.400 the World Economic Forum is not transparent. They're secretive.
00:29:32.640 Ezra Levant here in Davos, Switzerland. This is the second time
00:29:36.560 Rebel News has dispatched reporters here. The last time was last May. But of course,
00:29:41.280 it's January now, which is when they normally meet. We're back. I'm here for the first time.
00:29:46.240 Avi Yamini, our star from Australia, is here. He's doing a great job already. And our newest reporter
00:29:51.360 from the UK, Callum Smiles, is here. But we have an extra guest, too, who doesn't work for Rebel News,
00:29:57.520 but he's joining us on our citizen journalism project. His name is Calvin Robinson. He's with GB
00:30:04.160 News in the UK. We've talked before as a guest on my show via Skype. It's great to see you in person.
00:30:10.480 Calvin, welcome. Thank you. It's an absolute pleasure to be here.
00:30:13.200 Well, it's really nice to have you here. It's sort of exciting to meet up in a jet-set town like this.
00:30:18.800 I know. The thing is, it's a very remote town, isn't it? It's hidden away. It's very exclusive.
00:30:24.880 The only reason to be here is if you know what's going on, if you're invited here. I think that's why they
00:30:29.360 hold it here, isn't it? It's to keep it away from the normal folk and to keep everything behind closed
00:30:33.360 doors. It's a bit secretive. It's a bit shadowy. Well, and they make it hard to get here because,
00:30:38.240 I mean, it's far away and you have to journey anyways. But the town is fairly locked down.
00:30:44.800 All the hotel rooms are booked by the World Economic Forum itself. So, if you're not on their list,
00:30:50.800 you've got to stay a town or two away like we are. We're in sort of a legit cabin,
00:30:58.160 half an hour's drive away, which isn't terrible. There's other reporters staying an hour away.
00:31:02.480 But we've already seen how the elite get here today, haven't we? We went to the
00:31:05.760 private airport where the jets fly in. Then they get the helicopter over here,
00:31:09.200 and everyone's very escorted in their black SUVs. It's very much a process that they're all very
00:31:13.840 familiar with. And it's very much set up for them exclusively. I don't think there are many people in
00:31:18.560 this town actually that aren't here for Davos. And part of me believes in privacy. And if you've
00:31:24.320 earned wealth, spend it however you like, except for these folks have plans for you and me. It's
00:31:31.520 like an unelected government. And I don't want to sound too conspiratorial, but that's how they talk.
00:31:38.080 They talk about mastering the future. They talk about revising our concepts of citizenship. They talk
00:31:44.320 about governance. But these are not elected people. So they're acting like a government
00:31:50.960 without the checks and balances of a government that we demand.
00:31:53.920 But even worse than that, some of them are elected, but not elected for this position that
00:31:58.160 they find themselves in. They meet up together, they're colluding, they're lobbying each other.
00:32:02.480 And of course, when you put the most influential, most powerful, the richest people in the world in
00:32:07.280 one room together, of course, they're going to be looking after their own vested interests before
00:32:11.200 ours. And then they get out there and say, this is for you. You will own nothing. You will be happy.
00:32:15.760 I want to ask them. That's why I'm here. I want to ask them, okay, so who will own everything? If
00:32:19.200 I own nothing, who will own it all? I don't think I'll be as happy as you.
00:32:22.480 Well, you know what? BlackRock, one of the largest funds manager in the world,
00:32:27.840 has a big pavilion here. I just can't get over that because the people are saying,
00:32:31.680 you'll own nothing. I think they have $10 trillion in assets under management. They are owning
00:32:38.320 everything. BlackRock are already invested in everything, every single aspect of our lives.
00:32:44.000 They've got money in it. They are controlling us behind the scenes, essentially.
00:32:47.840 Now, here's the thing. We're here to ask people things, to observe with our eyes,
00:32:53.600 to try and get some firsthand information. We're limited because we're not allowed into
00:32:57.680 their secret sessions, but they actually do live stream some of it. They post video clips.
00:33:03.360 Their boss, Klaus Schwab, has published books, including one called The Great Reset.
00:33:07.280 Ezra, they're proud. They are proud of this. We've seen Klaus Schwab, the boss, say,
00:33:10.880 we've penetrated the cabinet. The young generation, like Prime Minister Trudeau,
00:33:17.440 President of Argentina and so on, said, we penetrate the cabinet.
00:33:23.040 They are absolutely proud of what they've accomplished because they've managed to form
00:33:26.320 a global government. They're almost creating a global state. You know, as you arrive at the airport,
00:33:30.320 it says, welcome, World Economic Forum, the global state, something or other. They're using the
00:33:35.280 language. They're putting it all out there and they're telling us what they're doing.
00:33:38.000 Yeah, they use the word global citizenship. They're replacing your British citizenship,
00:33:43.840 my Canadian citizenship with their global citizenship, which actually doesn't really mean
00:33:49.280 anything. And I'm a Brit. I'm an Englishman. I belong to England. I belong to Great Britain.
00:33:53.280 And my nationhood is important. I don't want that stripped away from me by my own politicians or any
00:33:57.440 other politicians, no matter where they come from. And I want to know, I want to ask the people who are
00:34:01.280 here. I want to say, do you believe in the nationhood? Do you believe in the nation state?
00:34:04.720 Or are you a globalist? Do you think we'd be all better off getting rid of our borders? And if so,
00:34:09.120 how do I vote against it? There's a lot of fact checking done
00:34:14.240 whenever you talk about the World Economic Forum. And of course, fact checkers, I call myself a fact
00:34:18.880 checker. I check my facts all the time. I'm here to check facts. But those who call themselves official
00:34:24.000 fact checkers are often just PR men of 2023. They're called fact checkers now. They try and
00:34:33.680 say that any criticism of the World Economic Forum is a kind of conspiracy theory. But it is happening.
00:34:42.800 Like this secret conclave is happening. The pay to play of expensive lobbyists and businesses is
00:34:48.880 happening. You can buy your way in to Davos if you have enough money. The plans to, as you say,
00:34:54.480 penetrate the cabinets. It is happening. I think that the fact checkers either don't know what's
00:35:00.800 going on or they're just plain out lying. I think that, I mean, I always say don't make up facts for
00:35:08.720 a conspiracy. The crazy stuff is already just out there. I say to our reporters at Rebel News,
00:35:14.720 the world is crazy enough as it is. You don't have to go beyond what you can see and hear. This
00:35:20.640 meaning is so crazy. If ordinary people just saw what they were saying and doing,
00:35:26.800 that would be enough to get them mad. Ezra, there's two sides to that. The fact checkers.
00:35:31.120 First of all, look at who the fact checkers are. Usually it's PA. Usually it's Reuters. Usually it's
00:35:35.280 someone who is heavily invested in the World Economic Forum. So they're doing their own inside checking.
00:35:39.680 So that doesn't work first and foremost. So do your own checking. Be independent. Look up the facts
00:35:43.200 for yourself. But secondly, the term conspiracy theorist, it's a derogatory term used to shut
00:35:48.560 people down, used to shut down debate. And when did it start? After the JFK shooting. And we've
00:35:53.360 since found out very recently that actually, yes, the CIA was heavily involved in the shooting,
00:35:57.680 in the situation around JFK. And they used the word first and foremost conspiracy theorist in order to
00:36:03.200 shut people down and to stop people from talking about a very important issue. And we see it more and
00:36:07.680 more lately. Whenever there's something around COVID, vaccines, lockdowns, something that governments,
00:36:13.520 big business are heavily invested in, and they don't want us talking about or doing our own
00:36:17.360 fact checking, they call us conspiracy theorists in order to close us down and make us look like
00:36:21.760 loons. And we're not. In fact, it's sort of conspiracy theorists of a year ago are now the prophets of
00:36:28.480 today. I mean, so many of the things during the lockdown and the pandemic that struck ordinary people
00:36:33.280 as audit, you know, oh, you shut up. That's a conspiracy theory. A lot of those things have
00:36:37.440 been borne out in the end. It's a real information battle. And, and, you know, Alex Jones is being
00:36:45.120 called a conspiracy theorist, but he, he came up with certain concepts in the info war. There's a
00:36:49.760 battle on for your mind. I really feel like some of those concepts are, are coming true here.
00:36:54.480 Um, last question, just for folks who want to get to know you better and follow you.
00:36:58.960 I mentioned you're on GB news and you can download the app. I have the app on my phone,
00:37:03.040 even though I'm in Canada, it works great over there. Is there a website or is it,
00:37:07.040 tell us a little bit about your show or is there something you're working on? You want to tell our
00:37:10.240 viewers about a lot of our viewers are in Canada, but we do have viewers around the world too.
00:37:13.920 Absolutely. So first of all, if you are in Canada or wherever you are online on YouTube and on the
00:37:18.400 app, we have a GB news app. My show is on at 3 PM GMT, but you can catch it later. But the best thing
00:37:24.240 to do is look me up online. It's calvinrobinson.com. I've got a sub stack where I'll be posting
00:37:28.320 video footage of our trip here. And I post a lot of articles on there too. And all my social media
00:37:32.960 is pretty much Calvin Robinson. Well, there you go, Calvin. It's great to see you here. It's
00:37:37.200 really fun to hang out with you in person because I'm a fan from afar. So to spend some time with you
00:37:41.760 is just really great. So Calvin's here on his own behalf. We have no editorial control over him. It's
00:37:47.440 just a pleasure to work alongside him. And of course, from the rebel news side, we've got Avi and Callum
00:37:52.720 and camera people and editors. So we've got a whole team and we've crowdfunded our economy
00:37:57.840 class travel here. You know, I'm not going to ask Calvin to describe.
00:38:01.200 Where's the private chat?
00:38:02.720 We have a rather rustic Airbnb where we're all stacked in sort of like a frat house. It's a
00:38:08.240 little bit cheek in jowl if I'm using the phrase, right? But you know what? We're here on a mission
00:38:14.480 to shine a light of public scrutiny on things. We're going to catch up with Avi Amini and the team
00:38:19.360 now. It's a little chilly out here, so I'm going to put on my gloves. For all of our reporting,
00:38:23.760 go to wefreports.com. We'll embed all of our vids. And Calvin, if I see your stuff on Rumble or YouTube,
00:38:31.040 we'll put it on wefreports.com too, just so more eyeballs get to it. Thanks for your support, everybody.
00:38:44.400 That's my show for the day. Sort of stitched a few things together. We'll get a little bit more
00:38:53.680 organized as the days go forward. Of course, if you go to wefreports.com, you'll see all of our work,
00:39:00.960 mine, Callum's, Avi's, all there. And if you think this reporting is interesting or worthwhile or useful,
00:39:06.880 you can even chip in a few bucks at wefreports.com. Boy, I'm mad at these BlackRock guys.
00:39:12.800 Can you believe that they're on the board of the World Economic Forum? We'll talk more about them
00:39:17.680 later. For now, from here in Davos, Switzerland, to you at home around the world, good night,
00:39:25.040 good night. And keep fighting for freedom.
00:39:29.920 And keep fighting for freedom of business, great, good night.
00:39:36.000 All right, so efendim, here we go.
00:39:38.860 We'll be back.
