00:00:00.000 Hello, my rebels. Boy, we have a different kind of show today. Instead of grumbling about Aaron
00:00:08.460 O'Toole, the conservative party leader, I thought, you know what? If I was trying my very, very best
00:00:13.980 to give him constructive advice, good advice, helpful advice, practical advice, specific advice,
00:00:19.980 what would it be? If I had like five suggestions or even four or three, what would they be?
00:00:25.600 Well, that's today's show. What do you think? Do you think the ideas I'm about to share with you
00:00:31.620 would help or hurt? Would they get him closer to 24 Sussex Drive or be a disaster? Well,
00:00:39.280 listen, and you tell me later. Let me invite you to become a video subscriber, though,
00:00:45.320 to what we call Rebel News Plus. It's the video version of the podcast. I think it's useful
00:00:49.600 because we always show video clips and charts and graphs. I showed some new polling charts today,
00:00:53.840 which should run a chill down your spine if you're a conservative. Anyways, I'd love it if
00:00:59.580 you subscribe. Go to rebelnews.com, click subscribe, eight bucks a month, because we live on that money.
00:01:04.440 We pay our payroll on that money, and I'd rather do it that way than take the media bailout.
00:01:12.300 All right, here's today's podcast.
00:01:14.260 Tonight, a new poll shows Aaron O'Toole falls further behind. Instead of being negative,
00:01:34.580 I'll give him the best advice I can. It's April 2nd, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:01:39.360 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:45.100 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:01:49.160 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it is because it's my bloody
00:01:54.020 right to do so.
00:01:59.780 I'm disappointed in Aaron O'Toole, but really, being disappointed in politicians is the norm,
00:02:04.520 isn't it? It's rare not to be disappointed in a politician. It just usually takes a bit longer.
00:02:10.220 Here's the 60-second version.
00:02:13.040 Canceling Derek Sloan on trumped-up charges of racism.
00:02:16.380 Laughable, given that Sloan's entire family is a visible minority.
00:02:19.800 Demoting Pierre Polly of the party's one star.
00:02:23.600 Banning Pierre from speaking at the party's recent conference.
00:02:26.960 Flip-flopping on 480. He now says he loves it.
00:02:29.760 And of course, just a couple of weeks ago, drawing a line in the sand for his own party members,
00:02:34.640 telling them they have to shut up and buy into the left-wing idea of global warming or else.
00:02:40.240 As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world.
00:02:47.760 Canada has changed.
00:02:50.520 Our party has to change too.
00:02:53.280 There's been a lot of speculation about what I'm going to say about climate change in this speech.
00:02:58.940 To those who are expecting a dramatic moment, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.
00:03:04.320 But I will say this.
00:03:06.300 From the first days of my campaign to lead our party, I've said two things consistently.
00:03:13.020 One, we all want a green future for our children.
00:03:17.520 We cannot ignore the reality of climate change.
00:03:20.720 The debate is over.
00:03:22.000 Yeah, pretty weird, pretty obscure, niche, left-wing issue.
00:03:26.760 Even Trudeau doesn't bang on about global warming these days.
00:03:30.040 People who care about it are in the single digits, according to Trudeau's own polls.
00:03:34.360 Everyone's talking about the pandemic and the lockdowns and jobs and debt, except Aaron O'Toole.
00:03:39.920 So how's that working out for you?
00:03:41.540 Well, here's a new poll.
00:03:43.380 I grant that it's from Abacus, which has too many connections to the Liberal Party for my liking.
00:03:47.980 But it's the same thing we've seen recently in a Nanos poll and a Leger poll.
00:03:53.640 Instead of getting a bump from O'Toole's recent conservative convention, O'Toole sort of tanked things.
00:04:00.320 Here's the new Abacus data.
00:04:02.380 Let's take a look at it.
00:04:04.940 Liberals open up an eight-point lead over the conservatives as O'Toole's negatives keep rising.
00:04:09.520 Two weeks ago, the Liberals were ahead 33 to 29.
00:04:16.080 Now the Liberals are ahead 38 to 30.
00:04:20.220 38 percent, that's pretty close to majority territory for Trudeau.
00:04:24.640 Here it is by region, which I think is interesting.
00:04:26.560 In Ontario, the Liberals have a 16-point lead, 44 to 28.
00:04:31.880 That's going to be a slaughter.
00:04:33.440 I'm sorry.
00:04:34.240 I mean, B.C. looks pretty tied up, 31, 31, 29 to the NDP.
00:04:38.440 That's interesting.
00:04:39.700 Nine percent for the Greens.
00:04:41.600 That's going to be one to watch.
00:04:43.740 Probably some regional differences between the B.C. interior, Vancouver, Vancouver Island.
00:04:49.040 The Atlantic's going to be a wipeout when the Liberals have 51 percent, almost double the Tories.
00:04:54.820 Obviously, the Tories are still strong in the prairies.
00:04:57.140 But seriously, 25 percent support for the Liberals in Alberta under Trudeau?
00:05:02.880 That's a sign that people aren't exactly enthused with O'Toole.
00:05:05.820 You might even see a few Liberals pop up in Edmonton, I hate to say it.
00:05:09.620 But my point is, the man's going to lose the whole strategy behind shifting to the left
00:05:15.240 and distancing himself from Sloan and Polyev and Kenny and even from us here at Rebel News.
00:05:20.020 The whole point was to ingratiate himself with former Liberal voters in Ontario
00:05:24.160 and, to a lesser extent, B.C. and the Atlantic.
00:05:28.380 I guess Quebec.
00:05:29.680 It's just not happening.
00:05:30.820 Those former Liberal voters look like they will continue to be Liberal voters.
00:05:36.060 In fact, sort of the opposite is happening under O'Toole.
00:05:39.260 I should say, it looks like O'Toole is less popular in Canada than the Conservative Party itself.
00:05:46.280 If I'm understanding these different polls right,
00:05:49.500 this chart shows that 33 percent of Canadians don't like him, whereas 19 percent do like him.
00:05:56.580 So the earlier chart showed us that 30 percent of people say they would vote Conservative,
00:06:02.860 but if only 19 percent said they like the leader,
00:06:05.520 I think it suggests the problems may be with the leader, not the party or its policies.
00:06:10.480 And I get it.
00:06:11.500 Oh, Aaron O'Toole is not well known.
00:06:13.320 He doesn't stand for things, except, bizarrely, global warming.
00:06:16.940 So what should he do?
00:06:17.800 He's wasted more than half a year as leader, longer, actually.
00:06:22.880 And the leadership campaign for Tory leader was an extremely long affair.
00:06:27.860 Andrew Scheer, remember him?
00:06:29.700 He announced he was quitting in December of 2019.
00:06:34.040 The party leadership vote was in August 2020.
00:06:38.060 It's now April of 2021.
00:06:39.740 That's 16 months.
00:06:41.820 What does Aaron O'Toole stand for?
00:06:43.780 Why should you vote for him?
00:06:45.120 If you don't know him by now, I mean, maybe it's too late.
00:06:47.900 The answer's a week.
00:06:50.140 Scolding Conservatives at your own party who are skeptical of global warming
00:06:52.920 is not a good answer for who you are.
00:06:55.840 It'll make Liberals feel good, but it won't make Liberals vote for Aaron O'Toole.
00:06:59.260 It'll make them feel better about voting Liberal or Green or whatever.
00:07:03.080 Look, I don't have skin in the game.
00:07:05.760 A generation ago, I was involved.
00:07:07.580 I worked for Preston Manning in the Reform Party,
00:07:09.900 then briefly for Stockwell Day in the Canadian Alliance,
00:07:12.240 and then in 2008, I campaigned in Stephen Harper's election headquarters.
00:07:16.100 That was fun.
00:07:17.020 So that's all more than a dozen years ago.
00:07:20.620 Campaigns are different.
00:07:21.520 Social media really wasn't even a thing back then.
00:07:23.860 Twitter, YouTube, Facebook were all very, very new.
00:07:27.000 They didn't shape politics.
00:07:28.560 The media party, they were Liberal,
00:07:30.440 but it wasn't literally on the government payroll.
00:07:33.920 A lot has changed.
00:07:34.940 I get it.
00:07:35.420 But I think I'm pretty attentive to conservatives in Canada and to others
00:07:42.540 and how conservatives win here and there.
00:07:46.200 So if I was trying to be positive,
00:07:48.500 this would be my, I don't know, five-point plan.
00:07:52.340 If someone were to say,
00:07:53.400 Ezra, can you stop criticizing Aaron O'Toole just for a moment?
00:07:56.800 And can you actually give him some useful, constructive, friendly advice?
00:08:01.320 All right, I'll give it a shot.
00:08:02.240 Point one, first, make the decision not to talk
00:08:08.240 to the Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal media party.
00:08:12.660 Just try it out for the next month.
00:08:15.060 Now, I know that sounds crazy.
00:08:16.500 Isn't it bad enough that the media party ignores him?
00:08:20.100 Well, that's the point.
00:08:22.240 See, Aaron O'Toole is obviously addicted to their approval.
00:08:26.180 He craves their attention.
00:08:28.260 But more than that, he wants them to like him.
00:08:30.740 It's why he bends to their every whim.
00:08:34.020 If he were to cut them off like an alcoholic stopping to drink cold turkey,
00:08:38.080 it would force him not to care about what they thought
00:08:41.340 and force him to use other, less pejorative media.
00:08:45.240 Smaller market media, YouTubers.
00:08:47.820 I'm not saying don't talk to voters in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal.
00:08:52.440 The opposite.
00:08:53.220 Talk to the voters, but don't talk to CBC and the Toronto Star
00:08:56.320 and the Globe and Mail gatekeepers.
00:08:57.740 This isn't just about getting his own stories out to the people.
00:09:01.980 It's about breaking his addiction to the media party's approval.
00:09:07.200 I think it's important.
00:09:08.080 It's a mindset change.
00:09:09.560 Second, choose controversies of his own choosing.
00:09:15.060 The liberals will drop controversies on Aaron O'Toole during the election.
00:09:18.740 They've got them stored up, ready to go, waiting to go.
00:09:21.420 Scandals.
00:09:23.120 Candidates who have said things on social media
00:09:25.540 that they're going to ask O'Toole, will you fire, whatever.
00:09:29.320 So controversies are going to come.
00:09:32.500 Putting O'Toole forward as Mr. Bland, that's not going to do it.
00:09:37.200 Do you know who this is?
00:09:39.880 Probably not.
00:09:41.340 He's no celebrity.
00:09:43.040 Just an ordinary Canadian who served his country.
00:09:46.340 Just a husband and father who stood up for workers.
00:09:51.280 Who works hard with years of experience in business.
00:09:55.680 Just someone who's in it for Canada, not for headlines.
00:10:00.160 Just Aaron.
00:10:01.420 Yeah, that's very nice, but that will not survive a personal attack on him.
00:10:11.280 The only way to fight and win the liberals and the liberal-paid media party
00:10:15.120 is to choose carefully, proactively, what you want the controversies to be about.
00:10:22.480 Because there will be a controversy.
00:10:23.840 So ideally, you want a controversy that the media party will really, really hate.
00:10:30.200 But that ordinary voters will love.
00:10:33.680 Ten years ago, that would have been Omar Khadr.
00:10:36.100 Every Canadian hates that traitor terrorist.
00:10:39.020 Only the liberal party and the media party and lawyers love him.
00:10:41.960 That's a perfect example.
00:10:43.940 What's another issue like that that's current?
00:10:47.640 What are three or four or five issues like that?
00:10:49.660 Put another way, if you don't have a front-page story in mind for yourself,
00:10:54.480 the other side does.
00:10:55.740 Here's an example.
00:10:56.500 I'll call this my third point.
00:10:57.780 Transgenderism in sports.
00:11:02.640 Perfect example.
00:11:04.440 Here's a tweet from Aaron O'Toole.
00:11:06.760 Today, we recommit to making Canada an equitable place for all people to live.
00:11:11.880 I stand with the trans community in Canada and around the world
00:11:14.820 in fighting for equal treatment.
00:11:17.060 Trans Day of Visibility.
00:11:18.340 So he tweeted that.
00:11:19.860 And I read it, but I was thinking, what does that mean?
00:11:22.680 Does it mean, hey, everybody, let's be nice to everyone, no matter what they're like,
00:11:27.840 and let's not be mean to anyone, and let's be kind, and let's not bully anyone?
00:11:33.300 Okay, great.
00:11:34.500 I agree.
00:11:35.960 But does it mean letting people who were born male, but who transition,
00:11:42.220 letting them play against girls in girls' sports leagues?
00:11:44.780 Because that's not about an equitable place for all people to live.
00:11:48.880 That's about destroying sports for girls.
00:11:52.020 That's about as unfeminist as possible, erasing actual women and girls, destroying their dreams.
00:11:58.340 Imagine if O'Toole said he really does want everyone to be nice to each other.
00:12:04.000 Don't be mean to trans people.
00:12:05.180 Don't pick on them.
00:12:06.820 Don't bully them.
00:12:08.060 Say all the nice things.
00:12:11.140 But then said he was going to introduce a rule protecting girls' sports, too,
00:12:15.780 from advantage-takers, from transgender male-to-female trans athletes.
00:12:21.880 And maybe he also mentioned transgender criminals getting to stay at women's prisons.
00:12:29.760 What do you think the public reaction would be if he said,
00:12:32.340 I like trans people, and I don't want them to be harmed,
00:12:35.680 but no more trans in girls' sports, no more trans in women's prisons?
00:12:42.120 What do you think?
00:12:42.720 90% of people would support that?
00:12:45.500 Including from a lot of trans and gay people, by the way,
00:12:48.840 and a lot of feminists, by the way, and a lot of women, by the way,
00:12:51.500 and a lot of girls, by the way.
00:12:52.340 And what do you think the reaction from the media party would be?
00:12:56.240 It would be the mere opposite, absolute rage.
00:12:59.120 Front-page coverage, which would be a good thing,
00:13:04.740 given that 90% of the public would support it.
00:13:09.140 In fact, maybe he should say that he wants Omar Khadr charged for treason,
00:13:15.980 and to see if he can claw back the $10.5 million that Trudeau gave him.
00:13:21.420 I mean, it's a little bit of a stale issue,
00:13:23.260 but what would happen, you'd immediately get a bunch of liberal lawyers and law professors
00:13:28.360 outraged, lots of front pages,
00:13:31.600 and what do you think the public would say?
00:13:35.440 Look, if you don't choose your controversies,
00:13:37.140 the other guy's going to choose them for you.
00:13:39.800 Now, transgender sports and Omar Khadr are not the biggest issues on the radar of our country.
00:13:44.640 I'm just giving you examples of something that are real conservative policies
00:13:47.580 the vast majority of ordinary people would agree with,
00:13:51.000 and they would push any fake controversies from the liberals off the front pages,
00:13:55.340 push global warming off the front pages,
00:13:57.400 and it would reveal the media itself as partisan,
00:14:00.020 but the harder the media would rage against O'Toole, the better, right?
00:14:04.620 It would make ordinary Canadians say,
00:14:06.260 I like that guy, oh, I'm with that guy,
00:14:09.300 as opposed to his ads, hi, I'm just Aaron.
00:14:11.640 I think there are other huge winners like that.
00:14:15.320 Roxham Road, the Liberal Party's obsession with bringing in record numbers of migrants,
00:14:20.400 even during a pandemic, even during a deep recession where we have 9.5% unemployment.
00:14:26.580 Did you see what Trudeau did just the other day?
00:14:28.860 He removed the ancient rule that screens out extremely ill people from immigrating here,
00:14:35.560 people with extremely expensive and dangerous medical conditions
00:14:39.380 who would immediately just go straight into our hospital system and be a burden.
00:14:43.460 Every country in the world screens for deep health problems.
00:14:47.620 It's just, why would you say we're going to be the entire world's hospital
00:14:51.200 displacing our own patients?
00:14:53.000 No one does that, but Trudeau just did.
00:14:56.980 He wants all the world's sick people to apply to move here.
00:15:00.040 Why? Why?
00:15:01.780 Now, the media loves that, except for themselves.
00:15:04.740 They'll jump to the front of the line.
00:15:06.300 They probably know someone.
00:15:07.120 But what do you think ordinary people would think of that,
00:15:10.220 including new immigrants, by the way, who had to come here the proper way?
00:15:14.800 You know, pulling back on immigration during a recession,
00:15:17.880 during 9.5% unemployment, when housing prices are absolutely insane in the big cities?
00:15:25.380 Sorry, that's going to resonate with, I don't know, 90% of people,
00:15:29.400 including legal immigrants who are saying,
00:15:31.680 how can I afford rent in Toronto or Vancouver?
00:15:34.860 Don't be mean about it.
00:15:36.960 Don't be rude about it.
00:15:38.620 Be pro-Canadian.
00:15:39.800 Be pro-common sense about it.
00:15:42.480 But refer to my point one above.
00:15:45.000 Just literally don't engage with the media party.
00:15:47.640 They're not real journalists.
00:15:48.740 They're liberals with press credentials.
00:15:50.480 Ignore them.
00:15:51.180 And their hatred for these ideas will give them free publicity.
00:15:56.140 One thing I almost liked from O'Toole's speech the other day
00:15:59.500 was when he said he wanted to reach out to organized labor.
00:16:02.700 I'm not going to sit around and wait for them to get serious.
00:16:06.240 The NDP no longer stand up for working Canadians and their families.
00:16:11.520 Private sector union workers share so many of our values of hard work,
00:16:16.400 family, and community.
00:16:17.920 Like us, they are proud of what we build here in Canada.
00:16:23.220 They should be voting conservative.
00:16:25.660 And if we have the courage to change our approach with organized labor,
00:16:30.520 to open our tent to them, we will win their trust.
00:16:34.480 Well, that was almost right.
00:16:35.720 You don't need to reach out to the organizations themselves.
00:16:39.620 That would be like Jerry Diaz and his pro-liberal uniform super PAC.
00:16:45.040 How about reaching out actually to union workers, not their liberal bosses?
00:16:49.800 How about reaching out to truck drivers, oil and gas workers, steel workers, pipeline workers?
00:16:54.420 Don't be shy about it.
00:16:55.560 That's an economic plan in itself.
00:16:57.200 That's a jobs plan.
00:16:58.520 That's a respect for the working people plan.
00:17:01.200 People who are ignored or attacked by the left these days.
00:17:03.800 And sure, there will be some squawking from that global warming hard left,
00:17:07.840 but nobody cares about that.
00:17:09.620 Go to British Columbia and the far north of Canada to show how important
00:17:13.360 industries like mining and logging and trucking and oil sands are to Aboriginal communities.
00:17:18.140 Put the left on the back foot.
00:17:19.920 Why are you against jobs for the working man?
00:17:21.960 Why are you against jobs for Aboriginal people?
00:17:23.980 But the number one thing Otill needs to do
00:17:25.660 is to talk about the number one thing on Canadians' minds.
00:17:30.400 The pandemic.
00:17:31.760 And more to the point, the lockdowns.
00:17:33.460 As I showed you yesterday, 96% of pandemic victims are over age 60.
00:17:40.720 So for the vast majority of working families in Canada,
00:17:44.420 the problem with the pandemic is not a health problem.
00:17:48.200 It's a lockdown problem.
00:17:50.200 A schools are shut down problem.
00:17:51.780 A jobs problem.
00:17:52.940 A businesses are shut down problem.
00:17:55.060 A travel is shut down problem.
00:17:57.600 How about their voice?
00:17:59.320 How about speaking for them?
00:18:00.800 Not recklessly.
00:18:02.820 But how about say a word about economic freedom?
00:18:05.840 And letting people earn a living?
00:18:07.060 How about letting people choose their own fear level?
00:18:09.880 How about pointing out that American states are moving on with real life?
00:18:13.480 Even the Democrat states.
00:18:15.600 While Canada slouches backwards.
00:18:18.040 You know, like Pierre Polyev did in the House the other day.
00:18:21.540 Well, Madam Speaker, I want to share some good news with the House.
00:18:25.220 The Seattle Mariners will host 9,000 fans.
00:18:29.720 They just got approval from Washington State.
00:18:32.300 A very progressive and woke state south of the border
00:18:36.760 whose ideological inclinations are very similar to this government.
00:18:40.920 And they have signed off on a safe plan, according to that state,
00:18:45.060 to allow 9,000 fans to participate in a major sporting event in Seattle, no less.
00:18:52.780 We got simultaneously the news that our Toronto Blue Jays
00:18:57.720 are not going to be able to do anything similar.
00:19:01.280 In fact, they put out a statement in which they said that
00:19:04.280 though we had hoped for improvements in the public health outlook
00:19:08.140 as we neared the 2021 baseball season,
00:19:11.540 with the ongoing Canada-U.S. border closure,
00:19:15.140 we have made the difficult decision to play the first two homestands
00:19:19.400 of the 2021 regular season at TD Ballpark in Florida.
00:19:25.940 That's my favorite conservative leader right there.
00:19:28.580 Alas, he's not the official leader, is he?
00:19:30.480 Boy, I wish O'Toole would talk that way.
00:19:32.800 And yeah, the media party is going to freak out
00:19:36.200 if he does the things I've just listed.
00:19:39.000 As the public health deep state would,
00:19:41.560 and the scolding classes,
00:19:43.180 and the sneering public sector unions
00:19:45.640 who haven't lost a day's pain.
00:19:47.800 But who cares?
00:19:48.500 They are not going to vote for O'Toole no matter what.
00:19:52.640 Why is he so scared of them?
00:19:55.120 Call for a division, as they say in Parliament.
00:19:57.900 Put a strong question out there.
00:19:59.440 Ask people to divide on your question.
00:20:02.540 Not on the liberal questions.
00:20:03.620 A careful, thoughtful challenge to lockdownism
00:20:06.800 and travel bans and school madness
00:20:09.420 would appeal to a lot of people.
00:20:11.920 There's no science backing masks for kids.
00:20:14.300 It's the opposite, actually.
00:20:15.560 How about be skeptical?
00:20:16.600 How about say, you know what?
00:20:17.520 Let's take the masks off kids.
00:20:21.000 And you know what?
00:20:21.940 A lot of people would say,
00:20:23.980 there's a common sense voice for me.
00:20:26.560 And those who would hate it, well,
00:20:29.160 at least they would talk about it
00:20:30.360 instead of some made-up controversy
00:20:32.420 of the liberal war room's planning.
00:20:35.220 They would make those choices by O'Toole
00:20:38.360 the controversies,
00:20:40.800 which would be a win for him.
00:20:43.040 Surely Donald Trump taught us that.
00:20:45.520 Those would be the controversies
00:20:46.560 instead of what the liberal war room has planned.
00:20:49.060 Racism, sexism, whatever they'll say
00:20:52.160 that's only losing for the conservatives.
00:20:54.420 So that's my best advice.
00:20:55.460 It's populist.
00:20:57.180 It's conservative.
00:20:58.380 It recognizes that the media party
00:20:59.940 is partisan and an enemy of O'Toole,
00:21:02.340 even though he's still obviously
00:21:03.860 in love with him.
00:21:04.900 It's an unrequited love, Aaron.
00:21:07.180 And it realizes that being an echo
00:21:09.020 of liberal party policy,
00:21:10.340 it's not working.
00:21:11.660 You can see that in the polls.
00:21:13.000 No one trusts it.
00:21:14.200 Neither conservatives nor liberals.
00:21:17.300 Right now, O'Toole is on track
00:21:18.800 to be crushed in the upcoming election.
00:21:21.900 How about if he's going to lose,
00:21:24.440 at least go down fighting?
00:21:26.940 But really, as Pierre Polyev shows us
00:21:28.900 and as Ron DeSantis,
00:21:30.500 the governor of Florida, shows us,
00:21:32.300 being a strong, fighting conservative,
00:21:34.940 well, he might actually win.
00:21:37.580 Stay with us, Ron.
00:21:39.960 Some governments in Canada
00:21:59.380 are discussing legislation
00:22:00.740 which would make COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory.
00:22:04.240 And the idea of vaccine passports
00:22:05.980 to travel, shop, go to the mall,
00:22:08.100 and go to movies or concerts
00:22:09.300 are being discussed
00:22:10.140 by global governments around the world.
00:22:12.880 Canadians are rightly concerned.
00:22:15.620 A recent poll asked more than 5,600 Canadians
00:22:18.120 if they were in favor of a vaccine passport,
00:22:20.900 and 66% responded they were against the idea.
00:22:24.060 Some provinces are saying
00:22:27.380 they won't make vaccines mandatory,
00:22:29.120 but that there will be consequences
00:22:30.360 for not taking the new COVID shot.
00:22:32.460 Well, there you have it,
00:22:33.140 a new video from our friends
00:22:34.660 at the Justice Center
00:22:35.760 for Constitutional Freedom.
00:22:37.540 That's only a snippet of it.
00:22:38.980 The full version is 18 minutes.
00:22:41.800 And who better to tell us about that video
00:22:43.480 and their latest updates
00:22:44.880 than their boss, John Carpe.
00:22:47.360 He joins us now via Skype.
00:22:48.900 John, great to see you again.
00:22:51.020 Even when I don't see you on our show,
00:22:54.060 I read about you in the news
00:22:56.380 because you are fighting for freedom
00:22:59.060 in many jurisdictions,
00:23:01.320 provincially, federally.
00:23:03.140 You're fighting for individuals.
00:23:04.680 You're fighting for churches.
00:23:06.220 In fact, it was your work
00:23:07.760 with the Justice Center
00:23:08.640 that inspired our own
00:23:10.620 Fight the Fines Civil Liberties program,
00:23:13.240 but you guys are the masters of it.
00:23:16.480 It's great to have you back here.
00:23:17.820 Give us an update.
00:23:20.180 Well, you know,
00:23:21.340 the vaccines is becoming
00:23:23.760 a very scary topic
00:23:24.760 because more and more
00:23:25.820 you hear politicians.
00:23:27.920 We've got clips
00:23:28.900 on our 18-minute video
00:23:31.180 of the Ontario Health Minister
00:23:34.060 talking about,
00:23:35.780 you know,
00:23:35.960 while we're not going to
00:23:36.660 forcibly inject anybody
00:23:38.200 with the vaccine,
00:23:39.580 however,
00:23:40.580 you could be barred
00:23:41.760 from shopping malls
00:23:43.400 and schools
00:23:44.360 and movie theaters.
00:23:46.080 And so this is scary.
00:23:47.740 And then all over the world,
00:23:49.120 we hear people blithely,
00:23:50.900 casually talking about,
00:23:53.440 oh, sure,
00:23:53.920 we'll just all get
00:23:54.560 a vaccine passport
00:23:55.440 and we'll all be safe.
00:23:57.160 And it's just frightening
00:23:59.620 that we're very quickly
00:24:01.160 moving towards a world
00:24:02.600 of kind of two-tiered citizenship.
00:24:05.740 There will be the vaccinated
00:24:06.820 who can travel internationally
00:24:09.880 and get onto airplanes
00:24:11.080 and put their kids in schools
00:24:12.720 and go into any store
00:24:14.320 or business of their choice,
00:24:15.820 go to any, you know,
00:24:17.580 holiday resort,
00:24:18.620 any hotel.
00:24:19.660 And then you have
00:24:20.280 these second-class,
00:24:22.540 non-vaccinated people
00:24:24.020 that are stripped
00:24:25.980 of a whole bunch
00:24:26.600 of rights and freedoms
00:24:27.440 that are available
00:24:28.260 to everybody else.
00:24:29.760 And if I had said this
00:24:31.020 three months ago
00:24:31.660 or six months ago,
00:24:33.180 you could say,
00:24:34.480 that rightfully say
00:24:35.880 that I was being paranoid.
00:24:37.140 But with so many politicians
00:24:39.380 in so many countries
00:24:40.880 talking about this
00:24:41.840 very publicly,
00:24:42.680 very openly,
00:24:43.280 you've got a lot more
00:24:46.540 going on with
00:24:47.180 the Biden administration
00:24:48.420 in the U.S.
00:24:50.240 I'm sure the rebel
00:24:50.960 is covering that
00:24:52.280 and what they're talking about
00:24:53.660 and what they're doing.
00:24:54.940 So this is a very grave,
00:24:57.980 serious threat.
00:24:59.380 And it's not 20 years
00:25:00.680 or 10 years down the road.
00:25:01.820 It could be months
00:25:02.340 down the road.
00:25:03.260 Yeah.
00:25:03.660 Well, in fact,
00:25:04.520 New York State
00:25:05.200 has already rolled out
00:25:06.340 its digital vaccine passport.
00:25:08.900 I note that it's being hosted
00:25:10.200 by IBM,
00:25:11.000 which has done work
00:25:12.900 in the Chinese province
00:25:14.340 of Xinjiang.
00:25:15.740 That's where the Uyghur
00:25:16.680 Muslim minorities are.
00:25:19.320 In,
00:25:20.120 according to Chinese newspapers,
00:25:22.940 IBM's digital work there
00:25:24.440 included public security
00:25:26.620 and public health.
00:25:28.860 That is what,
00:25:29.740 you know,
00:25:30.000 has been called
00:25:30.480 the social credit system
00:25:31.980 of the surveillance state
00:25:33.540 of China.
00:25:34.140 I am absolutely sure
00:25:36.220 that what IBM learned
00:25:38.100 by spying on the Uyghur Muslims
00:25:41.080 in China,
00:25:42.060 it's now deploying
00:25:43.800 against New Yorkers.
00:25:46.080 And it's as plain as day,
00:25:48.180 you're fighting it,
00:25:49.700 we're journalistically fighting it.
00:25:51.520 I don't know if there's
00:25:52.080 a legal fight to be had yet
00:25:53.500 because I don't think
00:25:54.100 it's a fact in Canada yet.
00:25:56.400 But I don't see
00:25:57.680 voices from the
00:25:59.360 civil liberties left.
00:26:00.880 I don't see the
00:26:01.700 Canadian Civil Liberties Association.
00:26:03.260 I don't see
00:26:04.020 disabilities activists.
00:26:06.080 I mean,
00:26:06.620 all the people
00:26:07.540 who would be freaking out
00:26:09.020 if you had some
00:26:10.580 sort of
00:26:11.200 passport needed
00:26:12.780 for,
00:26:13.300 let's say,
00:26:13.740 AIDS.
00:26:14.800 Have you taken
00:26:15.500 the AIDS vaccine?
00:26:17.040 Well, here's,
00:26:17.920 can I interrupt you?
00:26:18.920 Yes.
00:26:19.200 Here's another great irony
00:26:20.880 is that,
00:26:21.840 you know,
00:26:22.520 convicted rapists,
00:26:24.280 convicted
00:26:24.700 pedophiles,
00:26:27.100 people actually found guilty
00:26:28.780 of sexually molesting children,
00:26:30.720 they're all
00:26:31.180 entitled to
00:26:32.660 privacy
00:26:33.520 and you don't have
00:26:34.920 to wear
00:26:35.280 some sort of a badge
00:26:36.460 or a stamp on your forehead.
00:26:37.640 You don't need to produce
00:26:38.500 some kind of a document,
00:26:40.380 right?
00:26:40.640 And this is justified
00:26:41.880 under privacy rights
00:26:43.000 and,
00:26:43.480 you know,
00:26:44.060 arguably that's
00:26:44.980 the right approach.
00:26:46.420 But,
00:26:46.800 you know,
00:26:47.480 this is like,
00:26:48.800 you know,
00:26:49.100 now you
00:26:50.000 haven't had your vaccine
00:26:51.860 so you can't use
00:26:53.400 public transport
00:26:55.140 or you can't get
00:26:56.280 onto an airplane.
00:26:57.420 And I should,
00:26:58.500 I should qualify
00:26:59.260 because it's important.
00:27:00.940 I am not an anti-vaxxer.
00:27:02.900 I had all four of my kids
00:27:04.300 were vaccinated
00:27:05.640 as babies
00:27:06.340 and at other times
00:27:07.840 and I'm glad I got
00:27:08.580 the polio vaccine
00:27:10.060 when I was a baby.
00:27:11.280 So,
00:27:11.800 this is not an anti-vax
00:27:13.300 thing.
00:27:14.100 But when you have
00:27:15.400 a government coercion
00:27:17.080 to inject people
00:27:18.120 with something
00:27:18.640 that is inherently unsafe
00:27:20.160 and I find it appalling
00:27:21.640 and outrageous
00:27:22.240 that you have
00:27:23.340 chief medical officers
00:27:25.300 blithely describing
00:27:27.220 these vaccines
00:27:28.560 as,
00:27:29.980 quote,
00:27:30.460 safe.
00:27:31.540 And here's the problem.
00:27:33.440 You don't know
00:27:34.300 if a vaccine
00:27:34.980 is safe
00:27:35.740 until it can take
00:27:37.820 two years,
00:27:38.420 five years,
00:27:38.940 10,
00:27:39.160 15 years.
00:27:40.060 You have to see
00:27:40.860 the long-term effects.
00:27:42.580 And there are
00:27:43.720 so many examples
00:27:45.040 in medicine
00:27:46.680 of drugs,
00:27:47.880 vaccines,
00:27:48.680 treatments
00:27:48.980 where the negative effects
00:27:50.860 are not known
00:27:51.720 until
00:27:52.560 two,
00:27:53.320 three,
00:27:53.760 four,
00:27:54.220 five years later
00:27:54.960 and then you have
00:27:55.620 a recall
00:27:56.100 and you have
00:27:56.620 all kinds
00:27:56.960 of lawsuits.
00:27:58.540 And you don't need
00:27:59.340 to be a doctor
00:27:59.920 to know
00:28:00.500 that a vaccine
00:28:02.140 that has been
00:28:02.940 subjected to
00:28:03.680 six months
00:28:04.220 of testing,
00:28:05.340 well,
00:28:05.600 it might not
00:28:06.040 be dangerous,
00:28:06.880 I'm not making
00:28:07.360 that claim,
00:28:08.160 but to declare
00:28:08.860 it safe,
00:28:09.680 I think is just
00:28:10.720 negligent
00:28:11.760 on the part
00:28:12.320 of supposed
00:28:13.220 medical
00:28:14.380 professionals
00:28:15.320 telling us
00:28:16.520 that something
00:28:17.020 subjected to
00:28:17.800 six months
00:28:18.320 of testing
00:28:18.840 only
00:28:19.300 is safe.
00:28:21.440 I mean,
00:28:21.700 that is reckless
00:28:22.720 and it's outrageous
00:28:23.960 that any doctor
00:28:24.780 would say that.
00:28:25.620 Yeah,
00:28:26.040 I mean,
00:28:26.600 the AstraZeneca
00:28:27.420 vaccine,
00:28:28.180 and I'm not
00:28:29.240 an expert in it,
00:28:30.280 but I can see
00:28:31.140 that it was called
00:28:32.420 safe,
00:28:33.320 then it was called
00:28:33.920 unsafe,
00:28:34.900 then it was called
00:28:35.500 safe for only
00:28:36.260 certain ages,
00:28:36.940 and I think the
00:28:37.560 latest is
00:28:38.500 if you're between
00:28:39.620 the ages of 55
00:28:40.720 and 64,
00:28:41.760 which is a
00:28:42.240 very odd
00:28:43.380 and precise range,
00:28:45.000 it's considered safe,
00:28:46.620 and what about
00:28:47.740 someone who just
00:28:48.600 took it
00:28:49.120 like a few weeks
00:28:50.180 ago?
00:28:51.460 I mean,
00:28:52.060 the science
00:28:53.080 is changing
00:28:53.780 so quickly.
00:28:54.580 Earlier in the show,
00:28:55.400 I read through
00:28:55.940 Pfizer's big
00:28:57.480 announcement yesterday
00:28:58.380 about their first
00:28:59.940 trial on children,
00:29:01.900 which I found
00:29:02.780 terrifying,
00:29:03.460 and children,
00:29:04.380 if you go to
00:29:05.020 Teresa Tam's
00:29:05.740 website,
00:29:06.720 represent 0.0%
00:29:09.340 of COVID deaths.
00:29:11.360 It is like
00:29:12.680 0.02,
00:29:14.440 or like it's
00:29:14.880 such a tiny,
00:29:15.820 tiny number,
00:29:16.460 it shows up
00:29:17.160 as 0.0
00:29:17.960 on a chart.
00:29:19.780 They say
00:29:20.840 that the first
00:29:22.260 round of testing
00:29:23.000 on kids
00:29:23.560 is just fine,
00:29:25.500 but they're
00:29:26.060 going to monitor
00:29:26.580 those kids
00:29:27.220 for the next
00:29:27.680 two years,
00:29:28.420 they say,
00:29:29.460 but they want
00:29:30.940 to use it
00:29:31.540 for school children
00:29:32.360 this fall.
00:29:33.400 So Pfizer
00:29:34.060 is saying
00:29:34.980 they're not
00:29:36.760 going to be
00:29:37.080 done testing
00:29:37.700 this on kids
00:29:38.320 for two more
00:29:38.860 years,
00:29:39.340 but they want
00:29:40.480 it used
00:29:40.960 this school
00:29:42.580 year.
00:29:43.140 How can you
00:29:43.800 reconcile that?
00:29:46.020 There is
00:29:46.800 no COVID
00:29:47.940 poses no threat
00:29:49.320 to children.
00:29:50.380 That is now
00:29:50.860 well established.
00:29:51.920 We are into
00:29:52.760 our 13th month
00:29:53.860 of lockdowns
00:29:55.700 and there's
00:29:57.220 no excuse
00:29:57.680 to have
00:29:58.240 public policies
00:29:59.460 and laws
00:30:00.700 that are based
00:30:01.500 on the fears
00:30:02.180 of March
00:30:03.500 of 2020
00:30:04.180 as opposed
00:30:04.780 to the facts
00:30:05.540 of April
00:30:06.620 2013.
00:30:07.860 There's no
00:30:08.120 excuse for it.
00:30:09.200 Kids are not
00:30:09.720 threatened by this.
00:30:10.920 Kids are not
00:30:11.580 spreaders.
00:30:14.120 The Justice
00:30:14.480 Center is also,
00:30:15.160 we've got a new
00:30:15.660 report coming
00:30:16.260 out in the
00:30:17.940 weeks ahead
00:30:18.540 going through
00:30:19.820 some of this
00:30:20.320 COVID data
00:30:21.520 and a sneak
00:30:24.220 preview on just
00:30:25.140 one small
00:30:25.600 point.
00:30:26.660 The annual
00:30:28.160 flu leaves
00:30:29.860 99.98%
00:30:33.360 of Canadians
00:30:34.520 alive each
00:30:35.740 year.
00:30:36.640 So every year
00:30:37.820 the annual
00:30:38.220 flu takes
00:30:39.740 0.0002
00:30:42.120 of Canada's
00:30:43.280 population.
00:30:44.900 COVID,
00:30:45.940 in slight
00:30:47.360 contrast,
00:30:48.680 leaves alive
00:30:49.360 99.96%
00:30:53.200 of the
00:30:53.880 Canadian
00:30:54.120 population.
00:30:55.420 So COVID
00:30:55.820 is taking
00:30:56.680 0.0004
00:30:58.600 of Canada's
00:31:00.000 population.
00:31:00.940 So you could
00:31:01.480 truthfully say
00:31:02.200 that COVID
00:31:03.480 is twice as
00:31:04.080 deadly as the
00:31:04.580 annual flu.
00:31:05.180 That might be
00:31:05.640 true.
00:31:06.460 But when you
00:31:07.320 really look at
00:31:07.880 it, you're
00:31:08.100 looking at
00:31:08.600 a survival
00:31:09.840 rate of
00:31:10.860 99.96%
00:31:13.780 versus 99.98%.
00:31:16.280 This is the
00:31:17.300 virus that we're
00:31:17.880 dealing with and
00:31:18.520 it does not
00:31:19.020 warrant any
00:31:19.920 measures that
00:31:21.420 are destroying
00:31:22.060 our economy and
00:31:22.820 destroying society.
00:31:24.460 Well, listen,
00:31:25.600 I agree with you
00:31:27.020 on these vaccines.
00:31:27.880 I know you will
00:31:28.560 be keeping a
00:31:29.380 keen eye out
00:31:30.520 for vaccine
00:31:32.180 passports.
00:31:32.640 One thing that
00:31:33.500 would bother me
00:31:34.200 is, so you've
00:31:35.760 got to disclose
00:31:37.160 a personal and
00:31:38.460 private health
00:31:39.500 data point about
00:31:41.080 yourself just to
00:31:41.800 any bouncer,
00:31:42.700 anyone on the
00:31:43.420 street.
00:31:43.660 You've got to
00:31:43.980 tell them an
00:31:45.120 answer to a
00:31:45.720 question that's
00:31:46.280 very personal.
00:31:46.840 By the way,
00:31:47.180 you might have,
00:31:48.020 like in the
00:31:48.460 same Pfizer
00:31:49.160 press release I
00:31:49.980 read today,
00:31:50.580 it said if you
00:31:51.420 are immunocompromised
00:31:52.920 or immunosuppressed
00:31:53.960 and there are
00:31:54.780 people who should
00:31:55.800 not take it,
00:31:56.960 the drug companies
00:31:57.700 say don't take it,
00:31:59.160 so they can't get
00:31:59.960 on a plane now?
00:32:01.220 I mean, there's
00:32:02.040 so many bizarre
00:32:02.800 things.
00:32:03.520 Let me put that
00:32:04.060 aside for a
00:32:04.580 second though.
00:32:05.180 Can you give our
00:32:05.960 viewers a roundup
00:32:07.280 of some of the,
00:32:08.800 give me the three
00:32:09.880 most interesting
00:32:10.780 cases you're
00:32:12.380 working on?
00:32:12.960 I know there's a
00:32:13.600 ton and folks
00:32:14.220 can go to
00:32:15.280 jccf.ca,
00:32:17.680 that's the
00:32:18.420 Justice Center's
00:32:19.140 website, you can
00:32:20.260 check it out there,
00:32:21.360 they are a CRA
00:32:22.860 compliant charity,
00:32:24.700 so don't be shy
00:32:25.560 about chipping in
00:32:26.520 a few bucks to
00:32:27.160 them if you want
00:32:27.680 to help their
00:32:28.060 good work.
00:32:29.320 John, give me
00:32:29.860 your three most
00:32:31.600 interesting new
00:32:32.540 cases.
00:32:34.300 Okay, the big
00:32:35.160 three.
00:32:35.960 April the
00:32:36.780 14th, we
00:32:37.620 are in
00:32:38.400 federal court
00:32:39.280 challenging
00:32:39.960 Trudeau's
00:32:40.700 prison hotel
00:32:41.480 policy, or
00:32:42.820 hotel prison
00:32:43.380 policy, whichever
00:32:44.140 way.
00:32:45.260 That's going to
00:32:45.940 be very
00:32:46.260 interesting, we're
00:32:46.860 applying for an
00:32:47.460 injunction on
00:32:48.220 April the 14th is
00:32:49.200 when that
00:32:49.760 application will
00:32:50.480 be heard.
00:32:52.360 The week
00:32:53.180 thereafter, we're
00:32:54.020 in court in
00:32:54.820 Manitoba, the
00:32:55.560 last 10 days of
00:32:56.340 April, challenging
00:32:57.520 lockdown policies in
00:32:58.920 Manitoba.
00:32:59.680 We look forward to
00:33:00.500 cross-examining the
00:33:01.640 chief medical
00:33:02.160 officer of
00:33:02.780 Manitoba.
00:33:03.300 Manitoba, and
00:33:04.660 then shortly
00:33:05.760 thereafter, we're
00:33:06.720 in court in
00:33:07.360 Alberta.
00:33:07.840 We look forward to
00:33:08.440 cross-examining
00:33:09.280 Alberta's chief
00:33:10.500 medical officer,
00:33:11.760 Dina Hinshaw, in
00:33:12.980 court at the
00:33:14.060 trial of Pastor
00:33:14.760 James Coates, and
00:33:16.580 it's just exciting
00:33:18.100 that these chief
00:33:18.860 medical officers,
00:33:19.900 after 13 months
00:33:20.960 of getting easy
00:33:22.780 softball media
00:33:23.920 questions tossed
00:33:24.800 at them, they're
00:33:26.200 going to have to
00:33:26.800 be asked, they
00:33:27.860 will be asked some
00:33:28.600 very tough questions
00:33:30.000 in court, and so
00:33:32.060 those are the big
00:33:32.600 three coming up in
00:33:34.040 the next month.
00:33:34.700 That's extremely
00:33:35.480 exciting, you're
00:33:36.940 correct, they have
00:33:38.020 never been asked
00:33:39.260 tough questions, the
00:33:40.380 media are
00:33:40.960 stenographers or
00:33:42.540 cheerleaders, not
00:33:43.780 skeptics and
00:33:44.720 critics.
00:33:46.540 So many of their
00:33:47.540 models have proven
00:33:48.640 false over time, so
00:33:50.720 many of their
00:33:51.100 predictions have been
00:33:51.960 proven false, many
00:33:53.420 of them have
00:33:53.940 confessed that it's
00:33:54.960 not based on science
00:33:56.020 or medicine, but
00:33:56.860 rather just on
00:33:58.040 public opinion.
00:33:58.780 I can hardly wait
00:34:00.240 for those, and I
00:34:01.180 hope that at least
00:34:02.780 part of those will
00:34:03.700 be viewable by the
00:34:05.680 public, because we
00:34:06.500 would certainly like
00:34:07.340 to cover those
00:34:08.340 journalistically.
00:34:09.940 As you know, we've
00:34:11.020 sent reporters every
00:34:12.620 weekend to the
00:34:13.700 Grace Life Church of
00:34:14.780 Pastor Coates, and
00:34:15.680 Sheila Gunnery's done
00:34:16.480 a great job there.
00:34:17.680 Let me ask you one
00:34:18.540 last question, because
00:34:19.560 I know you're
00:34:20.040 representing a few
00:34:20.840 churches.
00:34:21.580 We are too, we
00:34:22.280 got a church in
00:34:23.500 Prince Albert,
00:34:24.120 Saskatchewan, but I
00:34:25.140 think you're really
00:34:25.980 carrying the heaviest
00:34:28.280 load.
00:34:28.780 Let me put this to
00:34:31.160 you.
00:34:31.900 At Grace Life Church,
00:34:33.060 I don't know if you
00:34:33.520 saw Sheila's video, some
00:34:35.800 Alberta health officers
00:34:37.640 and some cops demanded
00:34:39.900 entry to the church on
00:34:41.580 the weekend, and the
00:34:43.120 church elder said, no,
00:34:45.020 you can't disturb us, you
00:34:46.520 don't have a search
00:34:47.100 warrant, you're not
00:34:47.700 welcome, and by the
00:34:48.920 way, the criminal code
00:34:50.360 actually bans disturbing
00:34:52.260 a religious assemblage,
00:34:55.740 you know, a church.
00:34:56.360 You can't disturb or
00:34:57.640 interrupt a church.
00:34:58.580 So those church
00:34:59.480 elders in Grace Life
00:35:00.420 held the line, and I'm
00:35:01.920 really glad they did, and
00:35:03.000 it was a pleasure to
00:35:03.760 see, but there are other
00:35:05.940 churches in Canada,
00:35:07.100 including a Baptist
00:35:07.900 church in Calgary, that
00:35:11.300 either don't know how or
00:35:13.140 don't, or that don't win
00:35:16.100 the staring contest, and I
00:35:18.160 see armed police walking
00:35:21.800 right into churches in the
00:35:24.140 middle of services, guns in
00:35:26.260 their holsters, taking
00:35:28.000 photos, and I'm screaming
00:35:30.040 out, you and what search
00:35:31.420 warrant?
00:35:32.080 And I know section 176.2 of
00:35:34.000 the criminal code, do not
00:35:34.920 interrupt or disturb any
00:35:35.940 religious assemblage, that's
00:35:37.220 a crime.
00:35:38.260 John, I mean, maybe I'm
00:35:39.140 putting you on the spot
00:35:40.100 here, but when I see that
00:35:42.260 I want those officers
00:35:44.720 charged with a crime.
00:35:45.720 If I did that, I'd be
00:35:48.280 charged with a crime.
00:35:50.200 Is there, and maybe I'm
00:35:51.640 putting you on the spot
00:35:52.280 with a surprise question,
00:35:53.420 it just came to my mind.
00:35:55.040 What can we do about cops
00:35:56.560 and health bullies barging
00:35:58.660 into churches, synagogues,
00:36:00.500 mosques, whatever they're
00:36:01.300 doing, and disrupting?
00:36:02.980 I know they're doing this to
00:36:03.780 Jewish synagogues in
00:36:04.640 Montreal, too.
00:36:06.880 Well, as a bare minimum,
00:36:08.280 those churches could file
00:36:09.600 formal police complaints
00:36:11.660 against those officers.
00:36:13.920 That's a bare minimum.
00:36:15.740 I don't have enough criminal
00:36:17.220 law background to be able
00:36:19.620 to answer whether, you
00:36:21.760 know, to what extent, if
00:36:22.840 any, are police in some
00:36:24.660 situations entitled to
00:36:26.360 break the law while they
00:36:28.680 are pursuing law
00:36:30.140 enforcement.
00:36:31.600 An experienced criminal
00:36:33.120 defense lawyer with
00:36:34.020 specialty in that field
00:36:34.980 would know the answer.
00:36:36.120 I mean, certainly police
00:36:38.020 are allowed to break speed
00:36:38.940 limits when necessary for
00:36:40.620 carrying out their duty.
00:36:43.180 You know, would that same
00:36:44.060 principle apply to police
00:36:45.860 disrupting a religious
00:36:47.540 service, which you
00:36:48.200 correctly point out, it is
00:36:49.360 a criminal code offense
00:36:50.760 to disrupt a religious
00:36:52.860 service.
00:36:54.060 And my first thought is,
00:36:55.240 you know, is this
00:36:56.000 necessary for law
00:36:56.960 enforcement?
00:36:57.560 I mean, is it necessary
00:36:58.300 for the police to
00:37:00.000 disrupt a church service
00:37:01.480 by walking in there with
00:37:02.460 their guns?
00:37:03.220 Or could they carry out
00:37:05.020 their law enforcement
00:37:05.900 duties without doing
00:37:08.620 that?
00:37:08.960 And my guess would be
00:37:09.800 that they would be quite
00:37:11.480 capable of, you know,
00:37:13.440 if they really wanted to,
00:37:14.580 issuing tickets to people
00:37:17.420 after they leave the
00:37:19.240 church.
00:37:20.240 So, but the starting
00:37:21.100 point definitely would be
00:37:22.180 to file a formal
00:37:23.480 complaint against the
00:37:24.680 officers that are
00:37:25.860 engaging in that
00:37:27.080 criminal behavior of
00:37:29.200 disrupting a church
00:37:30.060 service.
00:37:30.860 Yeah.
00:37:31.180 You know, I think if I
00:37:33.140 were to try and defend
00:37:34.340 the cops, they probably
00:37:36.260 never in a million years
00:37:38.020 would have imagined they
00:37:39.400 would be dispatched to
00:37:41.220 give a health order to a
00:37:42.660 church.
00:37:43.320 That's not what they
00:37:44.420 learned when they went to
00:37:46.120 the police academy.
00:37:47.400 They thought they were
00:37:48.220 going to fight crime.
00:37:49.640 So they're being asked to
00:37:51.000 do bizarre things.
00:37:53.040 They're following orders and
00:37:55.120 obeying.
00:37:56.180 They're probably in uncharted
00:37:58.160 territory themselves.
00:37:59.780 They probably don't know
00:38:00.620 what they're doing.
00:38:01.820 Their chief is probably
00:38:02.820 under enormous political
00:38:04.520 pressure by authoritarian
00:38:07.240 mayors.
00:38:07.960 So if I were to defend the
00:38:10.320 cops and I don't really
00:38:11.240 want to, I would say they
00:38:12.820 probably have no bloody
00:38:13.940 clue what they're doing and
00:38:15.480 they're probably being
00:38:16.080 ordered to do so for
00:38:17.380 political reasons, which is
00:38:19.200 all the more reason I
00:38:20.520 think that any cop and any
00:38:23.200 health officer who steps
00:38:24.300 into a church or synagogue
00:38:25.440 should be slapped with some
00:38:27.260 sort of action, complaint,
00:38:29.800 private prosecution, because
00:38:31.400 they need to like a splash of
00:38:32.900 cold water to be shaken out
00:38:35.260 of and say, what are you
00:38:36.360 doing?
00:38:37.420 Don't you see what you're
00:38:38.740 doing?
00:38:39.160 And I think only the law
00:38:40.400 will do that.
00:38:41.680 So it's just an idea.
00:38:42.940 And I know we're talking
00:38:44.460 live here and I didn't give
00:38:46.240 you this in background, but
00:38:47.940 I hope it's something you
00:38:49.080 keep in the back of your
00:38:49.820 mind because it burns me up
00:38:51.840 when I see cops with guns
00:38:53.920 walking into churches.
00:38:54.960 And in Calgary, they had
00:38:56.580 some guy go in with a huge
00:38:58.080 backpack that an ex-cop
00:38:59.900 said that's probably a
00:39:02.040 surveillance equipment in the
00:39:03.580 backpack that IDs every
00:39:05.420 cell phone in the church.
00:39:06.780 So they probably went in
00:39:08.040 with this huge electronics
00:39:09.200 backpack to surreptitiously
00:39:11.460 just bam, bam, bam, bam,
00:39:12.680 bam, make a list of all
00:39:13.780 hundred people in the
00:39:14.520 church for later
00:39:15.760 prosecution.
00:39:16.880 I don't know if that's a
00:39:17.800 warrantless search, but
00:39:19.040 there's a lot of creepy
00:39:20.140 things being done to
00:39:21.260 churches by a lot of
00:39:22.880 creepy police chiefs and
00:39:24.700 creepy politicians and
00:39:26.340 creepy public health
00:39:27.460 officers.
00:39:28.160 And you are on the front
00:39:30.060 lines there.
00:39:30.720 So I wish you much
00:39:31.960 strength and good luck.
00:39:34.700 Okay.
00:39:35.660 Good, good speaking with
00:39:36.660 you, Ezra.
00:39:37.740 Thanks for having me on
00:39:38.420 your show.
00:39:38.960 Well, it's a pleasure.
00:39:39.660 Can I just give your
00:39:40.360 website out one more
00:39:41.300 time?
00:39:43.340 JCCF.ca.
00:39:45.200 You got to go there.
00:39:46.200 You got to read it.
00:39:46.920 You got to sign up.
00:39:47.660 If you got a few extra
00:39:48.440 bucks, chip in.
00:39:49.420 John, keep it up.
00:39:51.400 Have a great day.
00:39:52.240 See you, Ezra.
00:39:52.760 There you have it.
00:39:53.340 John Carpe, one of the
00:39:54.220 good guys, that's for
00:39:54.940 sure.
00:39:55.500 Stay with us, Mark.
00:39:56.200 Well, another busy week
00:40:09.400 here at Rebel News.
00:40:10.240 I believe that we're
00:40:10.860 doing journalism.
00:40:11.560 No one else is.
00:40:12.980 We're covering things that
00:40:14.580 the media party ignores or
00:40:16.240 cheers on.
00:40:16.760 They cheer the lockdown.
00:40:18.200 They cheer the civil
00:40:18.840 liberties violations.
00:40:20.320 But we don't just report
00:40:21.340 as you know.
00:40:21.720 We fight for the little
00:40:22.700 guy.
00:40:23.480 We have over 600 cases in
00:40:25.260 our fightdefines.com
00:40:26.560 project.
00:40:27.440 And we're doing
00:40:27.920 constitutional challenges
00:40:29.180 across the country, too.
00:40:30.560 I think it's quite
00:40:31.140 important and it's
00:40:31.760 actually grown to become
00:40:33.100 just as large as our
00:40:34.120 journalism work.
00:40:35.620 Thank you for being a
00:40:36.600 part of it.
00:40:37.040 Every month, your $8 for
00:40:39.560 being part of Rebel News
00:40:40.580 Plus helps cover our
00:40:42.000 bills because, as you
00:40:42.640 know, we don't take a
00:40:43.860 dime from Trudeau and
00:40:44.780 never will.
00:40:45.680 So thanks to you and
00:40:46.960 thanks to our great team.
00:40:48.380 Have a good weekend.
00:40:49.420 We'll see you Monday.
00:40:50.380 Until then, on behalf of
00:40:52.160 us, keep fighting for
00:40:54.100 freedom.
00:40:55.260 We'll see you then.
00:40:56.580 That's great.
00:40:57.440 We'll see you then.
00:40:58.900 Bye-bye.
