00:01:14.960 as you know, last night to see Omar Cotter give his first college speech. I'm terrified
00:01:21.560 of the prospect of an Al-Qaeda terrorist. And again, that's not my opinion. He's a confessed,
00:01:27.240 convicted member of Al-Qaeda, a war criminal, a murderer, giving a campus speaking tour. He was at
00:01:35.260 a prestigious university. Dalhousie, he was the honored guest of the Alumni Association and
00:01:42.800 Romeo Dallaire's foundation. Dallaire, a former liberal senator and Canadian general, actually
00:01:48.540 introduced Omar Cotter as a magnificent man. It was grotesque, especially that young college
00:01:56.380 students, and there were actually high school students as well, in the audience being told
00:02:01.720 that Omar Cotter was some sort of hero. I flew there, and as I told you yesterday,
00:02:07.620 I was startled to see Omar Cotter himself on the airplane, just a few rows in front of me. I
00:02:14.380 didn't see him as I came in because he ducked, but I saw him as we all left to go out. And I
00:02:20.220 accosted him in the airport. It's a video that's had almost 150,000 views in the 24 hours since I

00:10:40.040 I talked to both the flight attendant and the co-pilot who genuinely seemed completely surprised by what I had revealed to them.
00:10:48.460 I was reached out to by Air Canada on Twitter who asked for more details and never got back to me once I sent them a quick note.
00:10:57.740 I think that Air Canada was a victim here, certainly not a perpetrator.
00:11:02.960 My theory, after talking to some others with some experience in government,
00:11:07.400 is that Justin Trudeau most likely took Omar Khadr off the no-fly list as part of a secret package of gifts to him,
00:11:18.440 in addition to the public ones we know about.
00:11:21.020 As you recall, a couple of years ago, Justin Trudeau gave Omar Khadr a $10.5 million check, a public apology.
00:11:28.540 He arranged the check to evade the family of Christopher Speer, the U.S. Army medic murdered by Khadr.
00:11:36.000 However, obviously there were other things that the public didn't learn about.
00:11:40.600 I suspect that taking Khadr off the no-fly list was one of them,
00:11:44.200 something that I'm not sure how Air Canada feels about,
00:11:47.220 either as a corporation or from a customer service point of view,
00:11:52.160 or even from the safety of their own staff, pilots and flight attendants.
00:11:56.860 Would you feel comfortable being a flight attendant knowing that an Al-Qaeda member,
00:12:01.000 not just a timid member, but someone who actually murdered, is flying on a plane?
00:12:07.280 And we were flying from Toronto to Halifax,
00:12:09.400 but I happen to know that Air Canada flies daily from Toronto to Tel Aviv.
00:12:14.420 That's a big airplane full of Jews.

00:12:20.780 Would Omar Khadr simply be allowed to board that flight?

00:12:49.540 and in fact, a friend close to the White House,
00:12:52.260 who were very interested in counterterrorism.
00:12:54.820 They were startled by the story.
00:12:57.840 And I can tell you that both the counterterrorism desk at the White House,
00:13:01.780 as well as the Pentagon, are now aware that Omar Khadr flew over U.S. airspace.
00:13:08.440 Here's a map of the route of Flight 608 that I was on with Omar Khadr yesterday.
00:13:14.040 As you can see, the geography of the border, the United States juts up.
00:13:19.680 I think that's the state of Vermont.
00:13:21.000 We flew across U.S. airspace for about an hour, by my estimate.
00:13:26.440 Not only is that against Omar Khadr's plea deal,
00:13:30.200 but again, what does al-Qaeda do on airplanes in New England?
00:13:35.480 I mean, God forbid, may it never happen.
00:13:37.380 I hate to even say the words.
00:13:38.580 But al-Qaeda especially, their horrific, macabre reputation and specialty,
00:13:44.600 is taking airplanes in New England and flying them into targets.
00:13:49.580 Why would Canada, and I'm not blaming Air Canada,
00:13:52.740 why would Canada, the country, Justin Trudeau, the prime minister,
00:13:55.980 permit Khadr to fly over U.S. airspace?

00:15:56.520 There's one more thing I want to mention about the media.
00:15:59.380 Last night, Andrew Lawton from True North was at the same event,
00:16:03.320 and it was great to have an ally there.
00:16:05.600 I sat in the mass of the audience as a regular ticket holder.
00:16:10.920 Andrew Lawton came in as a journalist,
00:16:12.720 so he was in a media room.
00:16:14.440 I did not go into the media room.
00:16:16.840 He told me afterwards that there were several reporters there
00:16:20.280 who said, I ought to be arrested.
00:16:25.440 Andrew Lawton overheard them.
00:16:26.580 They were all in the little media room together.
00:16:28.040 He said there's about a half dozen reporters there.

00:16:52.120 So I sat in the crowd, and there was a no-filming rule.

00:16:58.740 There was nothing hidden there that I wanted to film

00:17:03.500 And they did announce at the top of the event
00:17:06.360 that they would be recording it and publishing it.

00:17:15.440 really nothing was said of interest by Omar Khadr.
00:17:19.380 His answers were vague, sometimes cryptic,

00:17:27.340 And I think it's a clever tactic,
00:17:29.220 because anyone who asks him a loving, gushing, loaded question,
00:17:34.100 loaded in a good way for him,
00:17:35.480 he sort of answers in a fog
00:17:38.400 that the question asker can project onto Omar Khadr
00:17:43.040 whatever they want.
00:17:44.200 In fact, thinking about it,
00:17:45.360 since Khadr has been out of prison,
00:17:47.760 we actually haven't heard that many meaningful things
00:17:50.500 from his own mouth.
00:17:52.220 One of the ways he's been rehabilitated
00:17:54.120 in the court of media opinion,
00:17:56.400 not public opinion,
00:17:57.680 the public still hates him,
00:17:58.740 but the media party,
00:17:59.700 the court party,
00:18:01.260 fancy society like Dalhousa University's elite,
00:18:05.420 is that all these do-gooders,
00:18:07.560 these social workers,
00:18:08.800 these noble people,
00:18:10.540 noble in their own mind,
00:18:11.480 ask a question to Omar Khadr.
00:18:13.780 He gives sort of a foggy answer,

00:18:15.920 ah, yes, he agrees with me.
00:18:18.400 And so it's all these do-gooders
00:18:19.980 projecting themselves upon Khadr,
00:18:22.260 and Khadr is saying very little.
