00:01:14.280 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you,
00:01:32.640 in which we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favorite Rebels.
00:01:37.420 I'm your host, David Menzies.
00:01:39.300 You know, at Rebel News, we tend to back the blue,
00:01:43.260 even though the action of certain members of law enforcement during this pandemic
00:01:48.540 are making us question our support for law enforcement.
00:01:53.320 The latest case in point, a Gravenhurst, Ontario, OPP officer
00:01:57.760 who thought it was a jolly good idea to push a 12-year-old boy off his skateboard.
00:02:02.820 It was for his own safety, you see.
00:02:06.280 Our ace videographer, Lincoln Jay, has the scoop.
00:02:10.100 Sheila Gunn-Reed recently paid a visit to the little chef in Pigeon Lake.
00:02:14.960 The owner, Nathan Zakuski, simply wants to earn a living,
00:02:18.840 employ his staff, and serve his appreciative customers.
00:02:22.640 But there's a roadblock standing in his way,
00:02:24.780 and that roadblock is the government,
00:02:27.180 which is threatening to put Nathan out of business
00:02:30.240 and maybe even relocate him into a jail cell.
00:02:34.540 Again, all in the name of safety.
00:02:37.300 Just wait till you hear all the nitty-gritty details.
00:02:40.540 And letters, we get your letters, we get them every minute of every day.
00:02:43.960 And you had plenty to say about my absolutely surreal visit
00:02:48.080 to an LCBO store in Toronto
00:02:50.820 that ended up with the manager locking down the store
00:02:54.620 and then calling the police.
00:02:57.540 My sin?
00:02:58.820 I merely wanted merchandise that had been bought and paid for,
00:03:02.880 but when you are dealing with a belligerent government monopoly,
00:03:06.940 expecting not to get ripped off is apparently too much to ask.
00:03:12.280 Those are your rebels.
00:03:13.620 Now let's round them up.
00:03:15.040 Lincoln J for Rebel News here in Gravenhurst, Ontario.
00:03:23.700 Now the background behind me may look a little familiar to some of you.
00:03:26.720 There's a viral video going around right now
00:03:28.740 of a OPP officer here in Gravenhurst
00:03:31.600 shoving a 12-year-old kid to the ground.
00:03:34.740 Check it out.
00:03:45.040 So it seems that what escalated this altercation
00:04:07.100 was the fact that the kid in the video
00:04:09.840 did not give his ID to the officer.
00:04:12.520 So yes, a 12-year-old boy does not give his identification
00:04:21.840 to a police officer,
00:04:23.940 so the police officer responds
00:04:26.140 by shoving the kid to the ground.
00:04:28.780 When I was 12 years old doing the exact same thing
00:04:31.400 that this kid was doing behind me,
00:04:33.260 I did not have ID.
00:04:34.900 I did not have a phone.
00:04:36.420 The only thing I had was a couple of dollars
00:04:38.400 from my parents to get a Gatorade and a bag of chips.
00:04:41.340 This is just flat-out bullying.
00:04:43.460 We're going to try and talk to some people
00:04:44.900 who may have witnessed the altercation
00:04:46.620 and get some general opinions on the matter.
00:04:48.880 In your own words, what happened?
00:04:50.860 Okay, so the first, the cops came.
00:04:54.580 They lost their masks up.
00:04:56.080 We did that.
00:04:56.920 A few people didn't because they didn't have a mask.
00:04:59.420 And then the second time they threw a mask,
00:05:01.600 they pulled up here.
00:05:02.440 And, like, so I went to the back because, yeah.
00:05:08.500 And then, and then so, was like, was saying,
00:05:13.000 like, we have the right to breathe and everything.
00:05:15.220 And then they were asking for his ID.
00:05:18.160 And he's saying, I don't have an ID because, you know, he's 12.
00:05:21.180 And then they go down there.
00:05:24.040 And then they started asking for his parents' number.
00:05:28.520 And then they grab a skier and, like, shove him, like, really aggressively.
00:05:33.180 It was like he was just coming around.
00:05:36.080 They didn't have a mask.
00:05:37.780 Cops started, like, pushing up on him, asking for ID.
00:05:40.480 He's a 12-year-old kid, you know.
00:05:42.540 He doesn't, he wouldn't have ID.
00:05:44.540 Right over, right there, as he's trying to leave.
00:05:47.380 As he's trying to leave because he knows that he can't be there without a mask.
00:05:50.720 Stuff like that.
00:05:52.000 As he's leaving, the cop grabs a scooter, pulls it, and then pushes him.
00:05:57.200 Falls back, hits his head.
00:05:58.900 You've all seen the video.
00:06:00.040 Like, pretty, pretty brutal stuff.
00:06:02.640 Definitely an excessive amount of force.
00:06:04.100 Well, there you have it, folks.
00:06:05.340 A 12-year-old boy on a skateboard at a skateboard park
00:06:09.140 is somehow deemed to be Gravenhurst's public enemy number one.
00:06:13.960 Well, at least by one OPP cop who inexplicably thought
00:06:18.100 it was a superb idea to get physical on a kid
00:06:22.420 who wasn't causing anyone any trouble at all.
00:06:26.740 Geez, with the physicality and the arrogance
00:06:30.100 and the ignorance on display by this cop,
00:06:33.180 what was he trying to do here?
00:06:36.020 Addition for the Montreal Police Service?
00:06:38.900 And with more on this story is our ace videographer, Lincoln Jay,
00:06:42.840 who recently traveled to Gravenhurst
00:06:44.920 and was able to track down a couple of eyewitnesses
00:06:48.620 to the actual event.
00:06:50.340 Well, welcome to Rebel Roundup, Lincoln.
00:06:52.340 Thank you for having me, David.
00:06:53.220 You got it.
00:06:53.980 Now, I thought it was fantastic.
00:06:56.260 By a cosmic fluke, you happened to go to the skateboard park
00:06:59.640 and you actually found a couple of eyewitnesses there
00:07:03.100 to the original event that happened, which was wonderful.
00:07:05.620 But before we get into that, you know, Lincoln, I'm scratching my head.
00:07:10.400 It's so difficult to see into the head of any one individual,
00:07:13.860 but what in blue hell was this cop thinking doing that to that kid?
00:07:19.140 I don't know.
00:07:19.820 It's just crazy.
00:07:20.800 I was literally that.
00:07:21.640 I was that kid, you know, at a skate park.
00:07:24.220 I was that kid before.
00:07:25.780 So, you know, just to see what there's no,
00:07:28.520 there's really no excuse for that kind of enforcement.
00:07:31.020 No, there isn't.
00:07:32.280 And the ostensible reason is it's all in the name of public safety,
00:07:36.560 public health.
00:07:37.700 But we know where the problem is with this virus.
00:07:41.320 The lion's share of the deaths are elderly people
00:07:43.940 at long-term care facilities.
00:07:45.460 And then you have outbreaks at the Mississauga,
00:07:48.140 Canada Post sorting facility,
00:07:50.200 the Brampton Amazon Fulfillment Warehouse.
00:07:53.320 Here's the question.
00:07:54.940 How does shutting down a skateboard park
00:07:57.820 that appeals to kids in tiny little Gravenhurst, Ontario
00:08:02.140 affect the real places
00:08:04.700 where the super spreader events are occurring?
00:08:06.960 There is no answer to that question
00:08:08.380 because I was, to add to your point,
00:08:10.520 it's Gravenhurst.
00:08:11.540 Yeah.
00:08:11.840 It's a small town.
00:08:12.940 You know, there's not much to do as it is, right?
00:08:15.180 So I would love to know how many cases
00:08:16.960 are actually in Gravenhurst right now.
00:08:19.120 You know, so these kids, they have,
00:08:20.460 there's not many outlets, you know,
00:08:21.680 in a small town like that,
00:08:22.540 especially it's basically wintertime, you know.
00:08:26.540 So spring's coming out, the warm weather hasn't come,
00:08:28.840 you know, they don't have many outlets.
00:08:31.080 So to shut down something like that,
00:08:32.520 it just doesn't make sense.
00:08:33.260 It's outside too.
00:08:34.540 Yes, indeed.
00:08:35.480 And we know, Lincoln, in Ontario,
00:08:38.260 the stats are the number of people who have died.
00:08:40.660 And to me, the death rate
00:08:41.860 is the only relevant stat that matters.
00:08:46.160 The positivity rates, I don't care about
00:08:49.260 because you either get better,
00:08:50.900 there's so many false positives, we know that.
00:08:53.180 But it is those who die
00:08:55.320 that that is the most important statistic.
00:08:58.100 And we know for under 20 in this province,
00:09:01.220 two deaths in more than a year.
00:09:03.100 And both of those people,
00:09:04.940 unfortunately, had severe medical issues.
00:09:07.540 One had leukemia, I understand.
00:09:09.600 So really, the actual number is zero.
00:09:12.120 So why is it that the Stugford government,
00:09:15.960 that members of law enforcement,
00:09:17.160 think it's a good idea to go out to playgrounds,
00:09:19.180 playgrounds, to skateboard parks,
00:09:21.720 and, you know, come down hard on a demographic
00:09:27.080 that is invulnerable to this virus?
00:09:30.440 To be fair, like, as you saw in the video,
00:09:33.400 I asked the two kids that I interviewed,
00:09:35.780 I said, is this the case?
00:09:37.040 Did the police give you guys a tough time?
00:09:38.740 They truthfully answered no.
00:09:40.980 So I think it might stem down from a bad cop.
00:09:44.340 But at the end of the day,
00:09:45.300 these are, they're hearing these things
00:09:47.140 from provincial legislation, right?
00:09:50.500 So where police can just ID kids, you know,
00:09:53.020 they can ask them why they're out,
00:09:54.440 why they're not at home.
00:09:55.620 So it kind of gives the police that overreach, right?
00:09:59.620 So there is some police that are,
00:10:01.380 I feel like they're still going to act on it,
00:10:02.860 even though police forces have come forward
00:10:04.560 and said that they're not going to randomly
00:10:07.200 pull people over, et cetera.
00:10:09.060 I feel like some police are still going to
00:10:11.040 step over those boundaries.
00:10:12.040 You know what, this is a very important point
00:10:14.460 you brought up, Lincoln,
00:10:15.440 because a couple months ago,
00:10:17.580 I was at an Adam Skelly press conference
00:10:20.060 and by chance, I met a lady
00:10:22.360 who is the wife of a Toronto police officer
00:10:25.440 and we had a discussion.
00:10:26.900 They're both huge Rebel News fans.
00:10:29.160 And she said that in his particular division,
00:10:32.960 I won't name it, it's 50-50.
00:10:36.240 50% of the police say,
00:10:38.360 this isn't what I signed up for.
00:10:40.060 I hate this rubbish of infringing on rights,
00:10:43.300 breaking up protests,
00:10:44.760 you know, getting heavy-handed on kids.
00:10:47.380 Whereas the other 50% of the division
00:10:49.640 actually believe that this is a way
00:10:52.480 to promote health and safety.
00:10:54.960 So, and there's quite a little,
00:10:57.280 you know, aggravation within that division
00:11:01.100 of the two contrarian viewpoints.
00:11:03.380 I wonder if that's what we saw in Gravenhurst,
00:11:06.700 that maybe the majority of the OPP police
00:11:09.860 want no part of it,
00:11:10.920 but this guy actually thinks he's doing God's work
00:11:13.820 by pushing a kid off a skateboard.
00:11:16.560 Yeah, it seems that that's,
00:11:18.080 it's becoming more and more evident
00:11:19.860 that officers don't exactly agree
00:11:23.480 with what's happening.
00:11:24.560 We saw at Huff Gym, right?
00:11:26.800 We saw the sergeant for Peel Regional Police
00:11:28.580 came and basically sided with the people.
00:11:30.840 Yeah.
00:11:31.840 So I feel like in any situation you're going to get,
00:11:34.600 there's always going to be some bad cops.
00:11:36.480 And look where that got them,
00:11:37.600 a suspension pretty quick.
00:11:39.500 And yeah, we're keeping our eyes on Huff Gym
00:11:41.800 because unfortunately,
00:11:42.780 I think it's only a matter of time
00:11:44.380 before they shut that down.
00:11:46.100 To add to your point,
00:11:47.660 at Huff Gym,
00:11:48.540 there was a police officer working out there.
00:11:52.620 Yes.
00:11:53.160 He went on leave as soon as the pandemic hit
00:11:55.300 because he simply said
00:11:56.300 he couldn't enforce the regulations.
00:11:57.840 He could kind of foreshadow what was to come
00:12:00.480 and he just wanted no part of that.
00:12:02.240 And he said that when police officers come in,
00:12:04.140 a lot of them,
00:12:04.820 they aren't checking the new regulations.
00:12:07.440 They're basically clocking in and clocking out.
00:12:09.840 Well, you know,
00:12:10.220 I hope he doesn't get arrested.
00:12:12.060 We saw just a few days ago in Elmer,
00:12:14.500 two Toronto police officers
00:12:16.240 being ticketed by two Elmer police officers.
00:12:20.860 So now we have this perverse situation
00:12:22.700 of police going after other police.
00:12:26.140 Lincoln, what do you think,
00:12:27.320 you've been covering these shenanigans
00:12:30.100 for almost a year now.
00:12:34.000 Do you think the police are going to ramp up
00:12:37.120 going after kids just being kids in playgrounds?
00:12:42.140 Or are they going to say,
00:12:44.020 no, this isn't law enforcement.
00:12:45.980 The idea of pushing a kid off his skateboard
00:12:48.760 in the name of safety makes no sense.
00:12:50.760 How do you think it's going to go
00:12:51.740 in the weeks and months ahead?
00:12:52.860 I honestly think that this was just,
00:12:56.100 it was just kind of a bad luck situation
00:12:58.540 for the kid dealing with a bad police officer,
00:13:01.280 if you want my honest opinion.
00:13:03.020 It's like in my neighborhood where I grew up,
00:13:06.840 there's kids out everywhere.
00:13:08.080 There's people out at the park.
00:13:09.340 So I don't,
00:13:10.060 and I don't see police officers
00:13:11.800 kicking the kids off the property, right?
00:13:14.120 So I feel like there's just little pockets
00:13:16.240 where police are going to kind of
00:13:17.780 overstep their boundaries
00:13:19.160 and sadly do what they're told,
00:13:22.380 kick kids off a park,
00:13:24.700 whatever the case may be.
00:13:26.080 The sad thing is that they're following orders.
00:13:28.160 They're technically doing their job
00:13:29.740 by kicking the kids off the park,
00:13:32.300 whatever the case may be.
00:13:33.300 So it's just a tough situation for everybody.
00:13:35.860 Yes and no,
00:13:36.420 because I mean that particular police officer,
00:13:38.280 he's now assigned to desk duty.
00:13:39.960 So he's not out in the community
00:13:41.440 and there is an investigation underway.
00:13:44.460 If you were part of that investigation,
00:13:47.620 what kind of penalty would you give that police officer?
00:13:51.340 He would be fired from the force immediately,
00:13:54.040 just like the guy said in my video.
00:13:56.120 There's no excuse for that.
00:13:57.420 You don't grab a kid's scooter
00:13:59.420 and no matter,
00:14:00.660 he failed to identify himself.
00:14:02.960 He's 12 years old.
00:14:04.120 I know.
00:14:04.960 Who has ID at 12?
00:14:06.520 Unbelievable.
00:14:07.060 Well, Lincoln, it was a great piece
00:14:08.200 and it was so fortunate.
00:14:09.180 I'm so happy that you were on the scene
00:14:11.280 when you got to speak to the eyewitnesses
00:14:13.080 who actually saw what happened.
00:14:14.720 So great piece.
00:14:15.820 And there you go, folks.
00:14:16.600 I mean, think of the perversity of that.
00:14:19.660 A police officer that is practically
00:14:22.440 twice the size of the kid
00:14:23.860 and weighs maybe four times more
00:14:26.120 pushes him violently off his skateboard
00:14:29.120 in the name of safety
00:14:31.320 when that kid, you know,
00:14:33.340 could have broke his wrist or his arm
00:14:35.220 or something like that
00:14:36.160 on impact of the ground.
00:14:37.780 Yeah, that makes sense to me too.
00:14:40.320 Keep it here.
00:14:41.040 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.
00:14:43.180 So did you get a closure notice,
00:14:51.100 lockdown ticket,
00:14:52.000 or just they came to tell you
00:14:54.220 you better close doors
00:14:55.260 or we're coming to take your liquor license?
00:14:57.600 This morning, there was a,
00:14:58.860 the call was from the AJLC.
00:15:00.620 They said they gave me a cautionary
00:15:02.000 and the next step was a suspension
00:15:03.560 or a fine and a suspension of my license.
00:15:07.320 And then AHS as well has given us,
00:15:10.800 you know, the warnings.
00:15:11.620 They taped that.
00:15:12.280 I'm sure people have seen my video
00:15:14.160 on Open for Survival
00:15:15.300 of when they came
00:15:16.260 and they taped the order on the window.
00:15:18.020 I'm here to serve an order
00:15:20.060 to you, Nathan,
00:15:21.220 regarding the closing
00:15:22.060 of the dining services.
00:15:23.520 Okay.
00:15:24.200 And I need to post this up
00:15:25.660 on your window.
00:15:26.500 Okay.
00:15:26.860 And why are the police officers here?
00:15:28.980 They're here to assist me.
00:15:30.600 Okay.
00:15:32.180 Okay.
00:15:33.320 All right.
00:15:33.700 Can I get to the window, please?
00:15:43.000 Absolutely.
00:15:43.440 The window's right there.
00:15:44.400 Well, I don't want to block
00:15:45.200 any of your stuff.
00:15:46.620 Okay.
00:15:50.060 There you are, sir.
00:15:57.120 So if I take that down,
00:15:58.660 what's going to happen?
00:15:59.980 There's an offense
00:16:00.760 against the public health.
00:16:01.620 Okay.
00:16:03.640 And...
00:16:04.280 It's spelled out here.
00:16:05.560 Okay.
00:16:07.940 Imprisonment.
00:16:13.080 Depends what the judge
00:16:14.040 determines.
00:16:16.200 Yeah.
00:16:22.960 Mr. Gordwatch,
00:16:25.120 I know you don't like doing that.
00:16:29.160 I know you don't like doing that.
00:16:31.620 I know you're just doing your job.
00:16:36.300 It's the current law of the land.
00:16:38.500 That's what we have to buy.
00:16:39.580 Yeah.
00:16:40.540 It is what it is.
00:16:41.700 I appreciate your cooperation.
00:16:44.800 So, like, with this part of it,
00:16:47.320 I would...
00:16:49.560 What's the next step?
00:16:50.940 Well, I gave you that warning letter
00:16:52.220 on Friday.
00:16:52.960 Mm-hmm.
00:16:53.260 So that outlines the additional steps
00:16:55.200 that can take place.
00:16:57.140 Okay.
00:16:58.080 So if you continue with the dine-in services,
00:17:01.960 I'll be back,
00:17:03.340 and the enforcement will step up.
00:17:06.140 Okay.
00:17:06.740 Okay.
00:17:07.700 There's too much at stake,
00:17:08.920 so I had to...
00:17:10.480 I'm going to wear the brown shirt
00:17:12.240 and obey what I have to do.
00:17:16.640 Yeah, that's the thing about this third lockdown
00:17:18.580 is the enforcement is a lot different
00:17:20.720 than the first two.
00:17:23.100 They are moving to pull business licenses,
00:17:26.360 pull liquor licenses,
00:17:27.540 things that are completely unrelated
00:17:29.060 to the health issues they say
00:17:33.460 are the reason that they need to
00:17:35.480 shut your business.
00:17:37.240 Yes, absolutely.
00:17:38.460 It seems way stronger.
00:17:40.200 Now, I did follow the lockdowns before.
00:17:42.900 Yeah.
00:17:43.420 I kind of wish I didn't
00:17:44.740 because, like, the rules weren't as strong.
00:17:47.000 Yeah.
00:17:48.020 And I would have been able
00:17:49.040 to make some extra money
00:17:50.060 and be able to have my employees still working,
00:17:52.400 but it is what it is,
00:17:54.240 and we're in the situation that we are in.
00:17:55.820 And, yeah, we're all in this together,
00:17:58.180 except when we're not.
00:18:00.160 Nathan Zakuski just wants to earn a living.
00:18:02.420 He just wants to employ his staff.
00:18:04.220 He just wants to serve an appreciative clientele.
00:18:08.660 Just one hitch.
00:18:09.920 The government won't let him do so.
00:18:12.440 And it's all in the name of public safety?
00:18:15.820 Sorry, that just doesn't ring true
00:18:18.660 when the little chef in Pigeon Lake is shut down
00:18:22.220 while big box stores like Costco and Walmart
00:18:25.240 are jammed to the gills.
00:18:27.660 And joining me now with more on the plight of Nathan
00:18:30.380 is Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:18:32.280 How you doing there, Sheila?
00:18:34.220 I'm great, David.
00:18:35.520 Thanks for having me on the show.
00:18:36.760 It is always a pleasure.
00:18:38.000 You know, Sheila, in a different life for several years,
00:18:40.600 I covered the hospitality and food service industries.
00:18:44.140 And what I know from that tour of duty
00:18:46.600 is that the restaurant biz
00:18:48.660 is perhaps the hardest business
00:18:51.340 to earn a living for a multitude of reasons.
00:18:54.140 And I can tell you this,
00:18:55.800 the last thing that an operator needs
00:18:58.220 is a visit from some government dweeb
00:19:01.160 threatening to shut him down permanently
00:19:03.200 and throw the guy in jail.
00:19:05.000 Sheila, what is Premier Jason Kenney thinking here?
00:19:09.640 I have no idea.
00:19:11.300 And we haven't seen any data
00:19:13.160 to support closing indoor dining
00:19:16.400 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
00:19:18.220 And I'm hearing the restaurant rebellion.
00:19:22.080 Again, it's coming from not like fly-by-night restauranteurs,
00:19:26.680 people who just got into the business.
00:19:28.320 These are long-term restauranteurs
00:19:31.380 who followed the rules, did their best.
00:19:34.240 In the case of Nathan,
00:19:35.500 he gives back to the community
00:19:36.940 because like so many fire departments in Alberta,
00:19:41.520 the local fire department at Pigeon Lake is volunteer.
00:19:44.080 So he donates a pile of money
00:19:46.580 to the volunteer fire department.
00:19:48.400 He gives back to, you know, local organizations.
00:19:51.280 He makes it a point to source his products
00:19:54.740 from local producers,
00:19:56.140 which, I mean, it's not difficult.
00:19:57.540 He's in rural Alberta.
00:19:58.980 You've got producers in every direction.
00:20:01.340 But he is willing to spend a little more money
00:20:04.540 to support his community.
00:20:06.360 And those are the guys being shut down by Jason Kenney.
00:20:10.040 He hasn't had a problem with health inspectors before.
00:20:12.720 He's willing to follow all the rules.
00:20:14.680 He runs a clean, friendly shop.
00:20:17.460 But because the coronavirus is spreading
00:20:20.740 in government-controlled long-term care facilities
00:20:24.960 and other things that the government specifically manages,
00:20:29.080 he's the guy living with the consequences
00:20:30.780 of the government's rash decisions
00:20:32.580 to close down an entire industry to dine in service.
00:20:35.520 And I just want to point out
00:20:36.580 that this week in Alberta,
00:20:39.360 again, we had snow.
00:20:40.640 And on Thursday, it was zero degrees.
00:20:44.080 Actually, I woke up and it was minus seven.
00:20:45.940 How are you going to run a patio
00:20:47.720 and make a living at minus seven?
00:20:52.320 Unbelievable.
00:20:53.440 You know, and Shelley, here's the thing.
00:20:55.460 If there's any industry that's well-versed
00:20:58.520 in hygiene and sanitation,
00:20:59.980 it's the food service business.
00:21:02.500 I mean, back in the day
00:21:03.460 when health board inspectors
00:21:05.020 came to inspect your restaurant for cleanliness,
00:21:07.480 as opposed to delivering a notice
00:21:09.960 they were going to scotch tape to your window
00:21:11.940 warning you to shut down
00:21:13.620 or else face a jail sentence.
00:21:18.120 They would be looking for things like insects,
00:21:20.680 vermin, that sort of thing.
00:21:22.340 So the operators know this.
00:21:24.720 They know they have to maintain hygiene
00:21:27.680 and sanitation standards.
00:21:29.560 I would argue far, far greater
00:21:32.180 than a big box store.
00:21:33.920 Oh, for sure.
00:21:36.080 I mean, when Alberta went through
00:21:37.660 our very first shutdown,
00:21:39.160 you know who was hammered first?
00:21:40.500 It was the restaurants
00:21:41.560 and the tattoo and personal care industry.
00:21:44.120 Those industries are the ones
00:21:45.440 that deal with infectious diseases
00:21:47.460 like hepatitis A
00:21:48.780 and then in the instance
00:21:50.300 of the personal care and tattoo artists,
00:21:52.420 the entire alphabet of hepatitis.
00:21:55.700 And, you know, these are industries
00:21:57.480 that have managed pandemics before,
00:21:59.860 the AIDS epidemic, tuberculosis.
00:22:02.460 They know what to do.
00:22:04.960 And yet they are the ones being scapegoated
00:22:07.480 while Walmart has an outbreak
00:22:10.940 and Costco has an outbreak
00:22:12.760 and the long-term care facilities
00:22:14.400 have outbreak after outbreak after outbreak.
00:22:17.100 And as you've seen in Ontario,
00:22:19.480 if an essential place has an outbreak,
00:22:23.380 essential meaning Walmart, Best Buy, Costco,
00:22:27.060 if they have an outbreak,
00:22:28.400 they don't have to close.
00:22:29.560 But if a smaller establishment
00:22:31.660 doing curbside pickup has an outbreak,
00:22:34.200 they do have to close.
00:22:35.620 So what's going on here?
00:22:37.380 You know, and Sheila,
00:22:38.200 I've always said that, you know,
00:22:40.380 when we look across the country,
00:22:41.740 there are ones and twos of restaurants
00:22:44.340 and barbershops opening up.
00:22:46.100 And typically it's inevitable
00:22:48.220 that the government comes down
00:22:49.700 with a mallet, case in point,
00:22:51.400 Adam Skelly of the Great Canadian Barbecue
00:22:53.620 Revolution or Rebellion
00:22:56.300 in late November.
00:22:57.980 And literally all the king's horses
00:22:59.640 and all the king's men
00:23:00.660 were sent in to shut him down.
00:23:02.860 I think ostensibly to send a signal to others.
00:23:06.200 But that is the point.
00:23:07.540 We need critical mass.
00:23:09.700 I would argue that back in November,
00:23:12.260 if hundreds, if I dare dream,
00:23:15.000 thousands of restaurants and shops
00:23:17.400 and boutiques opened up,
00:23:19.700 then the city would be put in a headlock.
00:23:22.400 There's simply not enough resources
00:23:24.020 to shut them down
00:23:24.920 and they'd still be open today.
00:23:27.060 In Alberta, do you get the sense
00:23:29.340 of people coming to, you know,
00:23:32.060 the end of their rope and saying,
00:23:34.040 that's it, I'm opening
00:23:35.260 and I want all of you
00:23:37.040 in this business to open as well?
00:23:39.260 Because I think that's the only way
00:23:40.740 this will be ultimately successful, Sheila.
00:23:43.820 You know, that's how it was successful
00:23:45.980 last time with Chris Scott
00:23:47.760 at the Whistle Stop.
00:23:48.780 He was in a staring contest
00:23:50.640 with the government
00:23:51.460 and the government blanked.
00:23:53.520 And, you know,
00:23:54.540 he faced the potential of jail time
00:23:57.240 on the Friday
00:23:58.300 and he managed to force the government
00:24:01.340 into opening the doors
00:24:02.680 to dine-in service on the Monday.
00:24:05.560 He was willing to take it right to the wire.
00:24:07.260 And he's doing the same thing again.
00:24:09.180 He's received closure notices.
00:24:10.900 He's had his food handling permit revoked.
00:24:13.060 He's put up a fence around the Whistle Stop
00:24:15.440 to keep the government out.
00:24:16.700 So he's basically done
00:24:18.220 what they've done at Grace Life,
00:24:20.480 but it's not to keep the people out.
00:24:22.080 It's to keep the government out.
00:24:24.600 So he's doing what he can.
00:24:26.320 But here's the thing
00:24:27.060 with what the government learned
00:24:28.780 from last time,
00:24:29.820 is that they are utilizing
00:24:32.660 the full weight of the government
00:24:34.980 across all bureaucracies now
00:24:37.020 to squash these restaurants
00:24:38.840 as quickly as they pop up.
00:24:40.280 These are desperate people.
00:24:41.480 These are rule followers
00:24:42.700 who are saying,
00:24:44.560 enough is enough.
00:24:45.880 I'm going to literally lose everything,
00:24:48.400 including my house,
00:24:49.580 if I don't do something.
00:24:51.380 And they make this desperate act.
00:24:54.600 And the government doesn't just come
00:24:56.880 with inspectors and closure notices.
00:24:59.380 Then the government says,
00:25:00.420 okay, we're also yanking
00:25:01.660 your food handling permit.
00:25:03.220 And we're also yanking
00:25:04.620 your liquor license,
00:25:06.180 which makes it very difficult
00:25:08.020 to get back.
00:25:08.820 And some of these bars and pubs,
00:25:10.620 normally they have VLTs.
00:25:11.940 Um, and if you lose
00:25:14.940 your liquor license,
00:25:15.780 you can't have those.
00:25:17.320 Um, and then they yank
00:25:20.140 their business license,
00:25:21.080 which puts them in default
00:25:22.160 with their landlords,
00:25:23.180 which terminates their lease,
00:25:24.920 which basically euthanizes
00:25:26.680 the business.
00:25:27.220 So it started,
00:25:28.940 the government has started
00:25:29.900 this cascade
00:25:30.840 of cross bureaucracy enforcement
00:25:33.460 to put these restaurants
00:25:35.000 back in their place.
00:25:35.840 And it's one of the most
00:25:37.140 authoritarian, uh, cruel things
00:25:40.280 that I've seen during this pandemic,
00:25:42.120 especially in places
00:25:43.680 like Pigeon Lake,
00:25:44.960 where they don't have an outbreak,
00:25:46.320 where you don't have to go there
00:25:47.860 if you don't want to.
00:25:49.440 Um, and yet still,
00:25:51.240 I mean, this is the heavy hand
00:25:53.140 of a so-called conservative government
00:25:55.140 coming along and,
00:25:56.460 you know,
00:25:57.420 smothering these restaurants,
00:26:00.200 putting a pillow over their face
00:26:01.460 while they lay in their deathbeds.
00:26:02.860 And Sheila, one last question
00:26:05.060 to wrap this, um,
00:26:06.500 when it comes to the politics
00:26:08.060 of what's going on,
00:26:09.180 the heavy handedness,
00:26:10.120 as you just said,
00:26:11.320 yanking a liquor license,
00:26:12.760 yanking a business license,
00:26:14.140 which can be a death sentence.
00:26:16.120 And it's actually,
00:26:16.660 surely it is a death sentence
00:26:17.780 for so many operators.
00:26:20.080 Does Premier Kenney think
00:26:21.920 this is a political win?
00:26:23.560 In other words, Sheila,
00:26:24.460 I'm asking you to get
00:26:25.800 into the heads of Albertans
00:26:27.200 and are they at their,
00:26:29.260 you know, home right now,
00:26:30.840 nodding, going,
00:26:32.100 hey, that's right,
00:26:33.080 Premier Kenney,
00:26:34.080 it's all about health and safety.
00:26:36.040 Shut down those potential
00:26:37.280 super spreader events.
00:26:38.660 Or are most Albertans going,
00:26:40.380 this is an outrageous attack
00:26:42.540 on our freedoms
00:26:43.900 and our charter rights
00:26:45.100 and basically a fix
00:26:47.280 for a problem
00:26:48.160 that doesn't exist?
00:26:50.260 Well, it's bad enough
00:26:51.660 that over a dozen,
00:26:54.200 I think it's up to 17 or 19 MLAs
00:26:56.980 within Jason Kenney's own caucus
00:26:58.920 have said,
00:26:59.920 we can't abide these lockdowns.
00:27:02.720 Now they're saying it,
00:27:03.780 you know,
00:27:04.580 for conventionally safe,
00:27:07.120 conservative things like,
00:27:08.740 you know,
00:27:09.300 we support small businesses
00:27:10.700 and job creators.
00:27:12.420 And so they are saying
00:27:14.500 this is enough.
00:27:15.400 And if they are saying it,
00:27:16.560 they are definitely hearing it
00:27:18.040 from their constituents.
00:27:18.960 But you have to remember
00:27:20.460 that this is a government
00:27:22.320 that has done nothing
00:27:24.320 after Alberta Health Services
00:27:28.120 and the RCMP
00:27:29.420 moved in on a church
00:27:30.800 nearly three weeks ago,
00:27:32.000 could be three weeks ago today.
00:27:34.480 And they've been completely silent
00:27:37.040 about the drastic infringement on,
00:27:40.060 these are charter rights.
00:27:41.180 This isn't just a right to,
00:27:42.620 you know,
00:27:43.240 earn a living and run a business.
00:27:44.520 This is a fundamental freedom
00:27:46.520 to practice your religion
00:27:47.660 as you see fit.
00:27:48.420 And that's coming
00:27:49.460 from this government.
00:27:50.740 So,
00:27:51.020 I mean,
00:27:51.420 the polls are reflecting
00:27:52.800 how Albertans feel
00:27:54.840 about Jason Kenney's
00:27:56.280 management of the pandemic.
00:27:57.880 His popularity is plummeting.
00:28:00.160 Rachel Notley is surging.
00:28:01.820 And I think it's not,
00:28:02.720 it's not that she is
00:28:03.840 surging in popularity.
00:28:05.600 This is conservative saying,
00:28:07.340 I'm just going to stay home
00:28:08.440 or I'm going to vote
00:28:09.240 for a Western separatist party.
00:28:13.180 And Jason Kenney
00:28:14.620 is running out of time
00:28:15.600 to turn this around.
00:28:16.700 That's my concern here.
00:28:18.140 He's running out of time, Sheila.
00:28:19.700 And I think he's playing with fire,
00:28:21.500 setting again,
00:28:23.100 the perfect storm
00:28:24.360 for a possible return
00:28:26.440 of the NDP to power.
00:28:28.380 I can't even believe
00:28:29.620 I'm saying that.
00:28:30.240 I don't have the energy
00:28:31.220 to do that again.
00:28:32.580 I don't.
00:28:33.940 Oh my goodness.
00:28:35.200 Hopefully,
00:28:35.840 he'll wake up to the situation.
00:28:38.420 He'll stop turning on his base
00:28:40.120 and he'll do the right thing.
00:28:41.680 And as far as Nathan is concerned,
00:28:44.120 how that man came across
00:28:45.860 in your piece, Sheila,
00:28:47.180 he seemed like such a great guy.
00:28:50.300 So kind.
00:28:50.980 You know,
00:28:51.160 he funds charitable initiatives
00:28:53.300 in his community.
00:28:54.240 It looks like he has
00:28:54.880 a great operation going.
00:28:56.520 It's heartbreaking to see
00:28:58.100 these notices of potential jail time
00:29:01.360 being affixed to his window.
00:29:03.260 No one, especially him,
00:29:04.980 no one deserves that.
00:29:06.420 Sheila, thank you so much.
00:29:07.380 And you have a great weekend,
00:29:08.320 my friend.
00:29:09.220 I will.
00:29:09.740 You too, David.
00:29:10.280 OK, and that was Sheila Gunn-Reed
00:29:12.300 somewhere in the northern
00:29:13.480 hinterland of Alberta.
00:29:15.300 Keep it here, folks.
00:29:16.260 More of Rebel Roundup to come
00:29:17.580 right after this.
00:29:26.220 David Menzies for Rebel News
00:29:27.900 here in Toronto.
00:29:29.140 Well, folks,
00:29:30.360 riddle me this.
00:29:31.080 What is worse than a monopoly?
00:29:34.180 The answer?
00:29:35.500 A government-run monopoly.
00:29:37.880 You are not going to believe
00:29:39.300 what happened to me last week
00:29:41.260 at this Leaside LCBO location.
00:29:46.100 Well, folks, as I mentioned,
00:29:47.660 I visited this LCBO location
00:29:49.940 last week,
00:29:51.460 and it was to pick up
00:29:53.420 what is now one of my favorite scotches.
00:29:55.960 It's the Glen Farkless 105.
00:30:00.200 And the problem began
00:30:01.900 when I came here to this cabinet.
00:30:03.300 As you can see,
00:30:04.660 it's locked.
00:30:05.840 And maybe it's because
00:30:07.140 it is $110 a bottle.
00:30:10.040 And it's only stocked
00:30:11.740 in three LCBOs in the province
00:30:13.460 as far as I can tell.
00:30:14.400 So I came down here
00:30:15.180 to buy three bottles.
00:30:17.340 Well, my issue began
00:30:19.120 when I went to customer service
00:30:21.000 to have them open up
00:30:22.620 the liquor cabinet here
00:30:24.640 because I wasn't wearing
00:30:26.980 my mask properly.
00:30:28.260 In other words,
00:30:28.760 it was below my nose
00:30:29.960 and the COVID Karen I dealt with
00:30:32.460 was very offended by that.
00:30:34.740 So things didn't get off
00:30:35.920 on a good foot.
00:30:37.040 But she opened the case
00:30:38.380 and when I went to take my bottles,
00:30:39.800 she refused to give them to me.
00:30:41.640 Instead, she brought them
00:30:42.780 to the cashier,
00:30:44.240 who was a very friendly woman,
00:30:46.020 thank goodness.
00:30:47.460 And I was on my way.
00:30:49.920 And then when I got home,
00:30:52.500 this is what greeted my eyes.
00:30:56.780 Three.
00:30:57.600 I had three canisters
00:30:58.860 of the 105.
00:31:00.800 Two of the cylinders
00:31:02.000 had bottles of scotch in them.
00:31:05.040 But the third one?
00:31:10.120 Empty.
00:31:11.580 So,
00:31:12.780 I was very surprised by that
00:31:17.080 because the only time
00:31:19.300 I actually got to put my hands
00:31:21.020 on the bottles individually
00:31:22.600 was when I got home.
00:31:24.220 I couldn't tell by the weight
00:31:25.640 of the bag going to the car
00:31:27.220 whether I had two bottles
00:31:28.720 or three.
00:31:29.400 Oh, sorry.
00:31:29.820 How are you doing there?
00:31:30.600 I'm doing well.
00:31:31.320 Okay then.
00:31:32.400 I'm supposed to ask you guys
00:31:33.720 to leave just because
00:31:35.080 we're not allowed to film
00:31:35.680 in the store.
00:31:36.080 Oh, yeah, I know.
00:31:37.760 I'm not trying to give you
00:31:38.960 some aggro,
00:31:39.500 but I'm here to pick up
00:31:40.680 my bottle actually, sir.
00:31:41.860 I bought three bottles
00:31:43.060 last week
00:31:44.020 and I only got two.
00:31:46.000 This is an empty canister
00:31:47.520 as you can see.
00:31:48.920 So,
00:31:49.480 I'm just doing,
00:31:50.560 you know,
00:31:51.740 a chronicling of my story.
00:31:53.480 So,
00:31:53.700 we'll be gone soon.
00:31:54.940 Okay.
00:31:55.040 Oh, sorry.
00:31:56.880 Who are you, ma'am?
00:31:57.460 I'm the store manager
00:31:58.120 and you're going to have to leave.
00:31:58.940 Oh, are you Ashley?
00:31:59.760 I am Ashley.
00:32:00.360 Oh, okay then.
00:32:01.200 Well, I'm...
00:32:02.080 I'm going to ask you
00:32:02.560 to leave the store.
00:32:03.080 I'm going to phone the police.
00:32:03.880 Okay, phone the police
00:32:04.620 because then I can file
00:32:06.440 a complaint of fraud
00:32:07.520 against you, Ashley.
00:32:08.920 So, as you can see, folks,
00:32:10.400 that is the manager, Ashley.
00:32:12.160 She's one of the players
00:32:13.160 in this story.
00:32:15.120 The following day,
00:32:16.840 I phoned the store
00:32:18.600 and told them about
00:32:19.420 my predicament
00:32:20.020 that I had bought
00:32:20.680 three bottles
00:32:21.360 but received only two.
00:32:23.780 And I spoke to a DM.
00:32:25.700 And she was a nice lady
00:32:27.060 who told me
00:32:27.620 that the policy of the store
00:32:29.080 is when they're selling booze
00:32:31.460 in a canister
00:32:32.600 or a cylinder
00:32:33.820 or a box
00:32:34.680 is for the cashier
00:32:36.240 to open it up
00:32:37.560 and make sure
00:32:38.280 it is the right product.
00:32:40.360 That's done so
00:32:41.260 that you don't have
00:32:42.400 an empty bottle
00:32:43.140 or an empty canister
00:32:44.420 going out the doors.
00:32:46.440 And to make sure that...
00:32:47.780 Is there a good news now?
00:32:49.120 Oh, no.
00:32:49.620 I don't think so.
00:32:50.780 I think you...
00:32:51.480 Please.
00:32:51.980 We're just asking you
00:32:52.580 politely to leave.
00:32:53.100 Oh, no.
00:32:53.520 And I'm politely saying
00:32:54.520 I'm waiting for my
00:32:55.160 merchandise, by the way.
00:32:56.380 You're still waiting
00:32:56.900 for your merchandise?
00:32:58.100 Then I'm sure
00:32:58.800 the manager
00:32:59.200 would be glad to help you.
00:33:00.540 Yeah, it's on her desk
00:33:01.540 and I think she's
00:33:02.280 calling the police
00:33:02.940 right now.
00:33:03.860 But, you know,
00:33:05.380 if you can just
00:33:07.140 let me do my job,
00:33:08.100 I'll be out of here
00:33:08.780 quicker.
00:33:09.320 You're welcome
00:33:09.680 to do your job
00:33:10.240 out front of the store
00:33:11.040 but inside the store
00:33:11.940 we have a policy
00:33:12.660 that there's no cameras allowed.
00:33:13.680 Yeah, there's cameras
00:33:14.700 everywhere, sir,
00:33:15.560 on the roof.
00:33:16.460 Security purposes.
00:33:17.220 Yes.
00:33:17.740 You're here on behalf
00:33:18.440 of the security.
00:33:19.080 No, but I am
00:33:20.060 a stakeholder
00:33:20.580 of the LCU bill
00:33:21.380 being a citizen
00:33:22.820 of the province
00:33:23.980 of Ontario.
00:33:24.540 You're here, sir,
00:33:25.000 but you're just
00:33:26.180 not allowed to film
00:33:26.860 inside the store.
00:33:27.480 Okay, well,
00:33:28.140 noted.
00:33:29.700 So, after I spoke...
00:33:31.080 No?
00:33:31.720 No.
00:33:33.120 Okay, this is Nick
00:33:35.420 by the looks of things.
00:33:37.360 He's a customer
00:33:38.760 service representative
00:33:39.860 which is kind of
00:33:41.300 an odd title
00:33:42.300 given that he's
00:33:43.980 not providing
00:33:44.600 much customer service.
00:33:45.900 We now interrupt
00:33:47.220 our pandemic coverage
00:33:48.560 to bring you
00:33:49.140 a slice of surreal humour
00:33:50.720 much of it
00:33:51.380 unintentional humour
00:33:52.640 courtesy of Ontario's
00:33:54.540 Drunk With Power
00:33:55.400 booze monopoly
00:33:56.320 aka the liquor
00:33:57.880 corruption bureaucracy
00:33:59.200 of Ontario.
00:34:00.700 What you just saw
00:34:02.340 there, folks,
00:34:03.100 was about a
00:34:03.920 four-minute snippet
00:34:05.080 of a 27-minute video
00:34:06.760 in which the level
00:34:08.320 of surrealness
00:34:09.560 would make the cast
00:34:10.740 members of
00:34:11.360 Monty Python blush.
00:34:13.340 In fact,
00:34:13.940 this was never meant
00:34:15.040 to even be
00:34:15.880 a Rebel News video.
00:34:17.300 I was just doing
00:34:17.960 some shopping
00:34:18.640 a few weeks ago
00:34:19.560 and I took
00:34:20.580 umbrage to the
00:34:21.440 LCBO's apparent
00:34:23.480 new whiz-bang
00:34:24.360 promotion of
00:34:25.200 buy three bottles
00:34:26.600 get two.
00:34:28.360 All I wanted
00:34:29.240 was to get
00:34:30.020 the merchandise
00:34:30.640 that I paid for
00:34:31.720 and at first
00:34:32.620 the lovely manager
00:34:33.760 Ashley agreed
00:34:34.860 that I had indeed
00:34:35.740 been ripped off
00:34:36.640 and she had
00:34:37.580 set aside a bottle
00:34:38.860 on her desk
00:34:39.700 for me to pick up.
00:34:41.220 But then she
00:34:42.320 changed her mind
00:34:43.900 for reasons
00:34:45.040 reasons I still
00:34:46.680 don't understand.
00:34:48.040 It's all so staggering.
00:34:49.920 In any event,
00:34:50.480 you had plenty
00:34:51.140 to say about
00:34:52.000 a customer service
00:34:53.020 nightmare
00:34:53.460 courtesy of
00:34:54.380 a government monopoly.
00:34:55.740 Yeah,
00:34:56.260 who would have
00:34:56.840 thunk it?
00:34:58.060 Juice Moose writes,
00:34:59.680 Worked retail
00:35:00.460 for 27 years
00:35:01.520 in the private sector
00:35:02.480 from lowest position
00:35:03.940 to assistant
00:35:04.640 store manager.
00:35:05.960 I can say this,
00:35:07.260 if any management
00:35:08.240 staff in the places
00:35:09.840 I worked acted
00:35:11.140 the way this
00:35:11.880 store manager did,
00:35:12.920 they would be
00:35:13.880 unemployed the next
00:35:15.080 day.
00:35:16.000 Only the government
00:35:16.900 protects this kind
00:35:18.300 of incompetence.
00:35:19.620 Well, Juice Moose,
00:35:20.620 this egregious
00:35:21.420 behaviour is the
00:35:22.800 direct result of a
00:35:23.800 Crown Corporation
00:35:24.580 monopoly.
00:35:25.660 It is,
00:35:26.600 in Ontario,
00:35:27.280 quite literally
00:35:27.880 the LCBO's way
00:35:30.300 or the highway,
00:35:31.460 i.e.
00:35:31.860 if I don't buy
00:35:33.140 my scotch
00:35:33.920 from the only
00:35:34.600 shop in town,
00:35:35.940 I literally have
00:35:36.780 to drive the
00:35:37.380 Buffalo.
00:35:38.460 And of course,
00:35:39.440 that's not even
00:35:40.200 an option today
00:35:40.980 thanks to the
00:35:41.660 border closures.
00:35:42.480 So your
00:35:43.640 liquor choice
00:35:44.440 in Ontario
00:35:45.080 is now
00:35:45.760 it's the LCBO's
00:35:47.200 way
00:35:47.500 or it's the
00:35:49.000 LCBO's way.
00:35:50.780 And the only
00:35:51.360 way to cure
00:35:52.120 that kind of
00:35:52.940 hangover
00:35:53.400 is privatisation.
00:35:56.220 Bob Tram
00:35:57.260 writes,
00:35:57.900 David,
00:35:58.360 you must give
00:35:59.120 lessons on
00:35:59.900 how to stay
00:36:00.480 so calm
00:36:01.180 in situations
00:36:01.920 where most
00:36:02.480 people would
00:36:03.000 crack.
00:36:04.060 Why government
00:36:04.640 owns and operates
00:36:05.680 a liquor store
00:36:06.420 is beyond
00:36:07.100 reasonable
00:36:07.760 expectations
00:36:08.580 for a government,
00:36:09.760 but that
00:36:10.820 is another
00:36:11.820 discussion.
00:36:13.100 Well,
00:36:13.460 Bob Tram,
00:36:14.040 I think
00:36:14.620 I was so
00:36:15.360 calm because
00:36:16.000 I literally
00:36:16.700 couldn't believe
00:36:17.700 the comedy
00:36:18.300 of errors
00:36:18.820 that was
00:36:19.540 unfolding
00:36:20.060 in front
00:36:20.540 of my
00:36:20.780 eyes.
00:36:21.100 As for
00:36:22.020 why government
00:36:22.780 runs the
00:36:23.380 liquor racket
00:36:23.980 in Ontario,
00:36:25.040 well,
00:36:25.660 this booze
00:36:26.280 monopoly is
00:36:27.100 justified via
00:36:28.040 the ostensible
00:36:28.840 policy reason
00:36:29.820 of social
00:36:31.000 responsibility.
00:36:32.340 You see,
00:36:32.780 if the private
00:36:33.860 sector were
00:36:34.620 entrusted to run
00:36:35.460 the booze biz,
00:36:36.120 as well,
00:36:36.760 we'd have
00:36:37.120 12-year-old
00:36:37.840 kids getting
00:36:38.500 hammered on
00:36:39.140 Colt 45
00:36:39.900 out in the
00:36:40.540 parking lot,
00:36:41.260 so only
00:36:42.200 government
00:36:42.880 can be
00:36:43.660 entrusted
00:36:44.480 to warehouse
00:36:45.360 and retail
00:36:46.120 such a
00:36:47.000 potentially
00:36:47.620 dangerous
00:36:48.260 substance.
00:36:49.380 Yeah,
00:36:49.880 and if you
00:36:50.240 believe that
00:36:50.820 one,
00:36:51.220 I also have
00:36:51.900 a bridge
00:36:52.320 for sale
00:36:52.900 in a certain
00:36:54.340 New York
00:36:55.160 borough.

00:36:58.360 writes,
00:36:58.980 this is why
00:36:59.580 I buy liquor
00:37:00.340 in the black
00:37:00.980 market.
00:37:02.080 GHTL,
00:37:02.860 please,
00:37:03.540 please,
00:37:04.080 please pass
00:37:04.940 along any
00:37:05.560 details regarding
00:37:06.600 how I too
00:37:07.500 can purchase
00:37:08.120 booze via
00:37:09.120 the black
00:37:09.580 market.
00:37:10.540 I'm betting
00:37:11.000 the customer
00:37:11.580 service provided
00:37:12.620 by the mob
00:37:13.540 would be
00:37:14.020 superior to
00:37:15.200 what the
00:37:15.540 LCBO
00:37:16.100 delivers.
00:37:17.540 Bloom here
00:37:18.160 writes,
00:37:19.200 quote,
00:37:19.660 we have a
00:37:20.220 potential
00:37:20.660 super spreader
00:37:21.580 event in
00:37:22.180 the office,
00:37:22.820 end quote.
00:37:23.640 Thank you
00:37:24.160 for the best
00:37:24.880 laugh I've
00:37:25.660 had this week.
00:37:26.660 Well,
00:37:26.940 thank you for
00:37:27.440 your kind
00:37:27.860 words,
00:37:28.240 Bloom here.
00:37:28.700 And folks,
00:37:29.160 what Bloom here
00:37:29.820 is referring to
00:37:30.740 is the segment
00:37:31.840 of the video
00:37:32.460 when we ventured
00:37:33.420 over to
00:37:33.980 Ashley's office
00:37:35.020 we notice
00:37:35.920 a sign
00:37:36.460 on the
00:37:36.780 door stating
00:37:37.700 that due
00:37:38.160 to COVID
00:37:38.740 social distancing
00:37:40.160 rules and
00:37:40.760 whatnot,
00:37:41.740 only two
00:37:42.640 people are
00:37:43.740 allowed in
00:37:44.260 the office
00:37:44.700 at any
00:37:45.200 one time.
00:37:46.020 Well,
00:37:46.520 on multiple
00:37:47.240 occasions we
00:37:47.980 notice three
00:37:48.540 and even
00:37:48.900 four people
00:37:49.580 in the
00:37:49.860 office.
00:37:50.700 So,
00:37:51.060 so much
00:37:51.460 for social
00:37:51.980 distancing
00:37:52.460 and yet
00:37:53.380 again another
00:37:54.160 example of
00:37:55.160 one rule
00:37:55.980 for thee,
00:37:56.680 one rule
00:37:57.440 for me.

00:38:01.380 what in the

00:38:02.500 the store
00:38:03.060 employees trying
00:38:03.920 to pull
00:38:04.280 here?
00:38:04.560 The amount
00:38:05.340 of ignorance
00:38:06.020 and lies
00:38:06.680 being told
00:38:07.260 is angering.
00:38:08.860 The footage
00:38:09.340 shows something.
00:38:10.540 I'm sure
00:38:11.200 that they
00:38:11.940 want to
00:38:12.420 hide it.
00:38:13.200 I can
00:38:13.480 almost swear
00:38:14.240 that employees
00:38:15.120 discriminate
00:38:15.680 against
00:38:16.380 anti-maskers.
00:38:17.900 An employee
00:38:18.460 sees someone
00:38:19.180 walk in the
00:38:19.800 store wearing
00:38:20.720 a mask but
00:38:21.460 wearing it
00:38:21.920 improperly.
00:38:23.100 They will
00:38:23.480 make you
00:38:23.960 wait or
00:38:24.660 just flat
00:38:25.240 out ignore
00:38:25.720 you.
00:38:26.100 This has
00:38:26.460 been my
00:38:26.920 observation
00:38:27.480 since doing
00:38:28.720 away with
00:38:29.600 the chin
00:38:30.060 diapers.
00:38:30.480 Well there
00:38:32.160 is supposedly
00:38:33.320 video evidence
00:38:34.200 my friend
00:38:34.660 but they
00:38:35.480 won't let
00:38:36.100 me see
00:38:36.540 it or
00:38:37.600 it has
00:38:38.260 been erased
00:38:38.960 or both.
00:38:40.380 I mean
00:38:40.600 that's what
00:38:41.260 Ashley actually
00:38:42.160 told me.
00:38:43.160 It just
00:38:43.980 gets worse
00:38:44.560 and worse
00:38:44.960 doesn't it?
00:38:46.220 And finally
00:38:46.640 King Richard
00:38:47.640 the Lionheart
00:38:48.320 writes,
