The Green Party has won a federal byelection in Nanaimo, B.C., and it s a weird place, but I don t think it was so much an environmentalist vote as a smash-the-system vote, a form of leftist Trumpism.

00:00:00.000 Hello, my rebels. Today, I tell you about the not-so-surprising Green Party victory in Nanaimo.
00:00:06.200 It's not that surprising if you know Nanaimo, and I think I know it a little bit.
00:00:10.720 And as you know, Elizabeth May is from a few hours south on Vancouver Island.
00:00:17.680 And it's just a little bit of a weird place, but I don't think it was so much an environmentalist vote
00:00:21.800 as a smash-the-system vote, a form of leftist Trumpism. I make the case!
00:00:26.780 Anyways, that's ahead, but hey, can you do me a quick favor first?

00:01:03.840 All right. Here's the podcast.
00:01:06.280 You're listening to a Rebel Media Podcast.
00:01:09.520 Tonight, the Green Party wins a federal by-election in British Columbia.
00:01:13.140 What does it mean? It's May 7th, and this is the Ezra LeVant Show.
00:01:18.900 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:22.600 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:01:26.680 The only thing I have to say to the government, the why I'm publishing,
00:01:30.420 is because it's my bloody right to do so.
00:01:32.520 The Green Party of Canada won a by-election yesterday
00:01:40.820 in the interesting city of Nanaimo, B.C.
00:01:44.480 I know Nanaimo pretty well.
00:01:46.480 Back five years ago, do you remember,
00:01:47.820 we covered the strange politics of that unusual town.
00:01:50.940 You'll remember their dysfunctional city council
00:01:52.880 banned a Christian group from renting
00:01:55.540 the publicly-owned convention center for a conference.
00:01:58.580 So we crowdfunded a lawyer to sue the city,
00:02:02.820 and then we helped campaign against the city council
00:02:06.180 that made that horrible decision.
00:02:08.140 And wouldn't you know it, the city threw out the bums.
00:02:10.860 It really was a template for the kind of action campaigns
00:02:13.880 that we do here all the time at the Rebel.
00:02:16.100 It was great.
00:02:17.520 And of course, we had a big barbecue at the end to celebrate.
00:02:21.180 And you know, I think at that big barbecue
00:02:23.700 was the first time I met Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:02:25.800 If you can believe it, so Nanaimo.
00:02:27.280 Yeah, I knew it pretty well.
00:02:28.580 I go there every summer for vacation.
00:02:30.080 It's a funny mix.
00:02:31.440 You got retired people, including from Alberta,
00:02:34.140 who like the weather better.
00:02:35.200 You got hippies who like Vancouver Island.
00:02:38.220 You got working-class folks.
00:02:40.260 You got some rough characters, by the way.
00:02:42.260 They all those angels.
00:02:43.740 They hang out in Nanaimo all the time,
00:02:45.960 which I find a bit creepy.
00:02:48.500 Now, I tell you all that because it's an unusual place.
00:02:52.280 It's a mix of things.
00:02:54.520 It's on an island, which means it's going to be
00:02:56.260 a little bit eccentric in its identity.
00:02:57.660 It feels cut off from the main,
00:02:59.300 even though the Capitol, Victoria, is on the same island.
00:03:01.840 But it's so quirky,
00:03:03.940 as that whole city hall fight in Nanaimo taught me.
00:03:06.300 Anyways, I have to say,
00:03:08.160 I am completely unsurprised by the result
00:03:12.400 that they voted for the Green Party last night.
00:03:14.100 The Green Party won.
00:03:15.000 I am not surprised.
00:03:17.380 This guy, Paul Manley,
00:03:19.960 son of a former New Democrat MP1,
00:03:23.380 now he wanted to run as an NDP-er once,
00:03:26.260 like his dad.
00:03:28.160 But he was deemed too radical for even the NDP.
00:03:32.340 He seemed to share his dad's radicalism against Israel.
00:03:36.220 His dad actually tried to run an Israeli naval blockade,
00:03:40.960 screening out terrorists from the port of Gaza.
00:03:44.140 I mean, if you're doing that,
00:03:46.100 you're way, way, way out there.
00:03:48.600 So he found his natural home in the Green Party.
00:03:52.720 That's really no surprise.
00:03:54.400 You know, Monia Mazig, Mayher Arar's wife,
00:03:57.240 she ran for the NDP a few elections back.
00:04:00.260 That's pretty far out there in itself.
00:04:02.000 So radical, this guy,
00:04:04.660 so radical that he was booted even from the NDP,
00:04:08.920 even though his dad was an NDP there.
00:04:10.640 I can tell you, it won't surprise me one day
00:04:13.320 if Omar Khadr himself runs for public office,
00:04:17.320 but he'd probably choose the Green Party
00:04:18.860 instead of the NDP,
00:04:20.180 and he would be right at home around the world.
00:04:24.200 The Green Party has become the party for people.
00:04:27.240 It's not even about green things anymore.
00:04:29.700 It's not even about the environment anymore.
00:04:31.560 Unfortunately, it's the party for people
00:04:32.740 who think the NDP isn't radical enough,
00:04:34.740 isn't anti-Israel enough,
00:04:36.700 or in the United Kingdom,
00:04:37.880 that Jeremy Corbyn isn't.
00:04:39.260 And I want to show you, I played this clip
00:04:40.500 a couple years back.
00:04:41.600 Here's the deputy leader
00:04:43.220 of the United Kingdom Green Party,
00:04:46.500 Sharar Ali is his name.
00:04:48.340 Here he is as a rally,
00:04:50.020 and I could give you a hundred examples like this,
00:04:52.600 but this one gives me the chills.
00:04:54.160 Just because your God tells you to stand here
00:04:58.960 does not give you the right to push us aside.
00:05:03.040 Just because you observe the niceties
00:05:06.460 of Holocaust Memorial Day
00:05:08.520 does not mean that you have learned
00:05:11.160 the lessons of history.
00:05:14.920 Listen up, warmongers!
00:05:16.680 Just because you switch off your TV set
00:05:20.440 to avoid upsetting your children
00:05:22.760 does not mean that you have not killed our children.
00:05:28.640 We call for suspension
00:05:30.680 of the EU-Israel Trade Association.
00:05:33.140 We call for a boycott of Israeli goods.
00:05:38.140 We all understand that you cannot have peace
00:05:41.640 in the Middle East
00:05:42.320 without justice
00:05:43.540 for the Palestinians.
00:05:45.860 Oh!
00:05:49.380 Oh!
00:05:51.520 If you tolerate this,
00:05:54.220 then your children will be next,
00:05:56.880 will be next,
00:05:57.980 will be next,
00:05:59.140 will be next!
00:06:00.460 Peace be upon you!
00:06:01.560 Yeah, what,
00:06:03.740 did you think the Green Party
00:06:04.600 was about planting trees or something
00:06:06.400 or picking up litter?
00:06:08.520 Don't you think that guy's nuts?
00:06:10.620 That is the center of the Green Party.
00:06:13.520 Do you think I'm kidding
00:06:14.220 when I say one day Omar Khadr
00:06:15.680 will run for public office
00:06:17.260 and will probably do so
00:06:18.720 as a Green candidate?
00:06:20.720 Well, to Elizabeth May,
00:06:22.480 that idea,
00:06:24.020 it's not really that ridiculous, is it?
00:06:26.280 She actually said in public
00:06:28.460 that Omar Khadr,
00:06:29.860 a convicted, confessed,
00:06:30.980 al-Qaeda terrorist,
00:06:32.680 murderer, and war criminal
00:06:33.820 is a better man
00:06:36.100 than, say, Stephen Harper
00:06:37.560 or any of his cabinet.
00:06:41.360 Do you guys remember the season?
00:06:42.760 Welcome back.
00:06:43.480 Who knew Khadr
00:06:44.280 was spelled K-H-A-D-R.
00:06:47.180 Welcome back,
00:06:49.560 Omar Khadr.
00:06:50.460 It matters to say it.
00:06:52.120 Welcome back,
00:06:53.240 Omar Khadr.
00:06:54.020 You're home.
00:06:56.560 Does it strike you as a nation?
00:06:59.380 I didn't know that my time.
00:07:00.580 No, you didn't.
00:07:01.540 There's a lot unusual
00:07:02.580 about your speech list,
00:07:03.540 but we're going to take off.
00:07:06.580 Omar Khadr,
00:07:07.580 you've got more class
00:07:08.500 than the whole f***ing cabinet.
00:07:09.780 Thank you.
00:07:10.200 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:07:15.800 That's the Green Party.
00:07:18.460 They'll take anyone.
00:07:22.220 Well, actually, not anyone,
00:07:23.580 come to think of it.
00:07:24.360 The president of the Green Party
00:07:25.480 of Canada
00:07:25.980 was a Jew.
00:07:28.300 This guy
00:07:29.000 who's drummed out of the party
00:07:31.280 for being too, you know,
00:07:32.860 Jew-y,
00:07:33.940 too pro-Israel.
00:07:34.600 I mean,
00:07:34.900 you can't have a party
00:07:35.720 that stretches
00:07:36.280 all the way from Paul Manley
00:07:37.740 and Omar Khadr
00:07:38.780 to a pro-Israel Jew.
00:07:40.160 Then it's not really
00:07:40.740 a coherent party, is it?
00:07:42.560 So they chose.
00:07:45.320 Now, I think some of the
00:07:46.360 hard-left hippies
00:07:47.620 who live in Nanaimo,
00:07:48.640 I think they voted
00:07:49.440 because they knew all this
00:07:51.660 and they actually believe in this.
00:07:52.840 Like I say,
00:07:53.340 it's an eco-kind of place,
00:07:54.900 Nanaimo.
00:07:55.480 It's part of it.
00:07:56.600 But that's not most of it.
00:07:57.880 Most of Nanaimo,
00:07:58.740 I think,
00:07:59.040 is a hard-working town.
00:08:01.020 The port,
00:08:02.240 the airport,
00:08:03.740 there's tourism,
00:08:04.900 there's lots of fishing,
00:08:06.640 there's real estate,
00:08:08.120 and the industrial jewel
00:08:10.440 in the crown.
00:08:11.560 You see it
00:08:12.360 when you fly in and fly.
00:08:13.280 Look at that.
00:08:14.000 Look at that gorgeous
00:08:15.620 paper mill
00:08:16.720 just outside the city.
00:08:18.980 I love seeing that
00:08:20.320 when you come and go.
00:08:22.720 I don't think
00:08:23.820 everyone in Nanaimo
00:08:24.940 is a freaky lefty.
00:08:26.720 I don't think
00:08:27.160 they're all eco-loonies.
00:08:28.340 You can't have a paper mill
00:08:29.840 if you're Nico Looney,
00:08:30.740 can you?
00:08:31.780 And I don't actually think
00:08:32.860 most people in Nanaimo
00:08:33.740 care that much about Israel
00:08:35.560 one way or another.
00:08:37.780 I don't think
00:08:38.420 there's a lot of Jews
00:08:39.120 in the city.
00:08:39.800 I think they just,
00:08:41.420 you know,
00:08:42.260 voted green
00:08:43.020 as a protest vote,
00:08:44.780 which is what's
00:08:45.660 so interesting here,
00:08:46.540 and that's so Nanaimo.
00:08:48.900 Let's look at those
00:08:49.660 election results
00:08:50.660 a little bit in detail.
00:08:51.820 The greens,
00:08:52.520 you see that there?
00:08:53.240 The Green Party,
00:08:53.860 Paul Manley,
00:08:54.780 they moved up
00:08:55.720 from fourth place
00:08:56.800 last time
00:08:57.440 to first.
00:08:58.040 They got 37.3%,
00:08:59.940 which is pretty respectable,
00:09:01.320 and if you see
00:09:02.540 their voter turnout
00:09:03.440 was a healthy 41%.
00:09:05.420 That's pretty good
00:09:06.180 for a by-election.
00:09:07.160 If that was a general election
00:09:08.200 below,
00:09:08.720 by-election,
00:09:09.180 that's good.
00:09:10.180 Now,
00:09:10.380 the NDP
00:09:10.820 who had the seat
00:09:11.900 before,
00:09:13.040 well,
00:09:13.300 they fell back
00:09:13.940 to third place,
00:09:15.380 23.1%,
00:09:16.720 edged out
00:09:17.620 by the conservatives
00:09:18.540 just under 25%.
00:09:20.580 But the most incredible
00:09:21.640 thing is that
00:09:22.220 the liberals,
00:09:22.880 check that out,
00:09:23.460 look at that,
00:09:23.920 the Trudeau liberals,
00:09:25.000 for he has branded
00:09:26.000 his party that way
00:09:27.260 so hard,
00:09:28.320 Team Trudeau
00:09:29.120 and all that.
00:09:30.060 The Trudeau liberals
00:09:30.800 came in a shocking
00:09:31.900 fourth,
00:09:33.400 fourth place
00:09:35.540 with just 11%.
00:09:38.120 Here's the candidate.
00:09:41.780 She looks pretty good
00:09:42.600 on paper,
00:09:43.220 First Nations leader,
00:09:44.420 who's a pretty big
00:09:45.200 community volunteer.
00:09:47.320 She looks nice.
00:09:48.620 I bet she would have
00:09:49.640 done much better
00:09:50.400 in any other party,
00:09:51.460 frankly.
00:09:51.680 I think running
00:09:52.700 as Team Trudeau,
00:09:53.820 as you can see
00:09:54.460 right there
00:09:54.900 on her website,
00:09:56.060 I think that probably
00:09:56.740 lopped her vote
00:09:58.000 in half these days,
00:09:59.000 don't you think?
00:10:00.380 Because I don't really
00:10:01.800 think there's a lot
00:10:02.720 of love for Trudeau
00:10:04.760 or a lot of people
00:10:06.500 believing him
00:10:07.140 on Aboriginal affairs,
00:10:08.240 for example,
00:10:08.760 after his atrocious
00:10:09.720 treatment of Jody Wilson-Raybould
00:10:11.600 these past months.
00:10:12.720 She was a hero
00:10:13.620 to the province
00:10:14.260 in many ways.
00:10:16.340 Probably a personal hero
00:10:17.760 to that liberal candidate.
00:10:19.160 I bet they knew
00:10:19.720 each other.
00:10:20.180 It's not that big
00:10:21.280 a place, B.C.
00:10:22.600 But who would vote
00:10:23.920 for a candidate
00:10:24.800 running under Team Trudeau,
00:10:26.720 that fake feminist
00:10:28.000 who threw out
00:10:29.080 the most successful
00:10:30.400 Aboriginal politician
00:10:31.440 from B.C. in memory?
00:10:33.640 We've shown you
00:10:34.600 how disastrous
00:10:35.500 polling is
00:10:37.080 for Trudeau
00:10:37.720 in the city
00:10:38.320 of Vancouver itself.
00:10:39.860 Well, Nanaimo
00:10:40.380 is interesting.
00:10:41.620 Demographically,
00:10:42.320 it's 80% white
00:10:43.700 and about 10% Aboriginal.
00:10:47.320 And I tell you that
00:10:48.340 because I just
00:10:49.860 don't see
00:10:50.600 Aboriginal folks
00:10:52.240 voting for Trudeau
00:10:53.240 these days.
00:10:53.820 I just don't see it.
00:10:55.660 I mean,
00:10:56.120 they know what Trudeau
00:10:57.880 actually thinks
00:10:58.840 of Aboriginal folks.
00:11:00.420 They think
00:11:00.900 he thinks
00:11:01.980 Aboriginal is just
00:11:03.280 to be used
00:11:04.400 by Trudeau
00:11:05.340 for photo ops
00:11:07.040 or, you know,
00:11:08.180 for donations
00:11:09.440 to the Liberal Party.
00:11:10.600 Thank you for being
00:11:12.100 here tonight.
00:11:12.900 Thank you.
00:11:13.920 People in Rossi
00:11:14.900 Nero are suffering
00:11:15.960 from Mercury poisoning.
00:11:17.760 Thank you.
00:11:19.020 Thank you for being here.
00:11:21.460 Thank you very much
00:11:22.580 for your donation tonight.
00:11:23.900 I really appreciate
00:11:24.920 the donation
00:11:26.100 to the Liberal Party
00:11:27.020 of Canada.
00:11:27.600 And as we know,
00:11:31.060 the Liberal Party
00:11:32.460 is filled
00:11:33.400 with different perspectives
00:11:34.760 and different opinions
00:11:35.620 and we respect them all
00:11:36.820 and our commitment
00:11:37.420 to reconciliation
00:11:38.340 continues to be
00:11:39.720 strong and committed
00:11:41.180 and we will continue
00:11:42.540 to engage.
00:11:43.880 Thank you, sir,
00:11:44.740 for your donation
00:11:45.600 to the Liberal Party
00:11:46.560 of Canada.
00:11:47.240 I really appreciate
00:11:48.320 you being here tonight.
00:11:49.480 Thank you for being here.
00:11:50.780 That is why
00:11:51.440 we are moving forward
00:11:52.540 on reconciliation
00:11:53.500 in a real
00:11:54.780 and tangible way.
00:11:56.000 Thank you, sir.
00:11:57.060 Thank you for being here tonight.
00:11:58.620 Thank you for highlighting
00:11:59.640 how important
00:12:00.840 reconciliation is.
00:12:02.700 Thank you for being here
00:12:03.920 tonight, sir.
00:12:04.740 Thank you very much
00:12:05.720 for your donation
00:12:06.340 to the Liberal Party.
00:12:08.340 I tell you,
00:12:08.940 Andrew Scheer should just
00:12:09.820 run that clip
00:12:10.500 as an ad
00:12:11.260 just over and over again.
00:12:12.920 That room,
00:12:13.980 that snobby,
00:12:15.520 smarmy,
00:12:16.860 fake feminist
00:12:18.080 saying to aboriginals
00:12:19.600 who came there,
00:12:20.360 they weren't there
00:12:21.260 without cause.
00:12:23.000 Grassy Narrows,
00:12:24.060 they have mercury poisoning
00:12:25.400 in their water
00:12:26.060 and he promised
00:12:27.200 to help them
00:12:27.660 two years ago
00:12:28.360 and he hasn't done a thing
00:12:29.380 and everything
00:12:30.900 in that room
00:12:31.640 is fake
00:12:32.500 and repulsive.
00:12:33.880 That room is,
00:12:35.200 if you've never been
00:12:35.780 in Nanaimo,
00:12:36.480 think of that room
00:12:37.380 and then think
00:12:38.500 of the opposite.
00:12:39.960 I'm surprised
00:12:40.720 Trudeau got 11%.
00:12:42.060 I bet half of that
00:12:43.340 is people just
00:12:43.960 marking their ballot wrong.
00:12:46.260 So, yeah,
00:12:47.020 no, no.
00:12:48.040 And look at this,
00:12:48.980 look at this,
00:12:49.840 a tweet from Jody Wilson-Raybould.
00:12:51.860 Congratulations to
00:12:52.760 Paul Manley
00:12:53.320 on your election
00:12:54.140 as MP for Nanaimo Ladysmith
00:12:55.680 to all candidates
00:12:57.240 who put their names forward.
00:12:59.560 Huh.
00:12:59.880 Isn't that funny, eh?
00:13:03.380 That's pretty friendly
00:13:04.340 for her to say,
00:13:06.740 I wonder if Jody Wilson-Raybould
00:13:09.020 is going to run
00:13:09.580 as a green candidate
00:13:10.500 in Vancouver.
00:13:12.440 If she does,
00:13:13.720 I bet you a dollar
00:13:15.340 she will win.
00:13:18.460 Hmm.
00:13:19.560 So 11% for Trudeau,
00:13:21.940 but the NDP,
00:13:22.960 where were they?
00:13:23.700 I mean,
00:13:23.960 they had the seat
00:13:24.620 last time, right?
00:13:25.460 They were in the incumbents.
00:13:26.460 Jagmeet Singh
00:13:27.040 is a hard lefty
00:13:28.220 and now he's a
00:13:29.320 British Columbia MP
00:13:30.100 from not that far away
00:13:31.400 and yet
00:13:32.120 the NDP came in third.
00:13:35.160 The Conservatives
00:13:35.800 have to feel pretty good
00:13:36.580 about all this,
00:13:37.780 about, first of all,
00:13:38.540 coming in second,
00:13:40.020 but also
00:13:40.780 about the split
00:13:42.240 in the vote.
00:13:43.120 A three-way split
00:13:44.980 on the left.
00:13:47.080 I really don't think
00:13:48.100 it's a vote
00:13:48.500 for green policies.
00:13:50.580 But, of course,
00:13:51.120 the entire media party
00:13:52.180 and probably Trudeau himself
00:13:53.260 will take that lesson
00:13:54.340 from it.
00:13:54.820 So he'll go harder
00:13:55.980 on their carbon tax
00:13:57.100 even though I checked
00:13:58.580 and today
00:13:59.400 gas starts
00:14:01.100 at $1.52 a liter
00:14:02.580 for the cheap blends
00:14:03.900 in Nanaimo.
00:14:05.340 I think Trudeau's
00:14:06.120 going to go harder,
00:14:07.000 harder on the carbon tax.
00:14:08.540 I think there's no chance
00:14:10.340 they're going to build
00:14:10.880 that pipeline.
00:14:12.160 Now, Trudeau will probably
00:14:13.400 think he has to jack up
00:14:14.460 the carbon tax even more.
00:14:15.840 Catherine McKenna
00:14:16.660 will probably think
00:14:17.760 she needs to shout
00:14:18.600 even louder.
00:14:21.080 So let's talk about
00:14:22.000 climate change
00:14:22.700 for a second.
00:14:23.500 Who believes it's real?
00:14:25.220 Florida!
00:14:26.380 Who believes in science?
00:14:29.740 We got a report
00:14:30.980 last year
00:14:31.720 that said
00:14:32.480 we have 12 years
00:14:34.200 to take serious
00:14:35.360 climate action.
00:14:36.960 We are all
00:14:38.020 in this together.
00:14:39.240 We need to act.
00:14:41.320 Yeah.
00:14:42.440 Get ready
00:14:43.200 for a lot more
00:14:44.100 shouting about
00:14:44.840 the carbon tax.
00:14:45.620 But I put it to you,
00:14:47.660 it's not about that.
00:14:49.580 It's green
00:14:50.500 in the same way
00:14:51.480 that guy from the UK
00:14:52.580 is green.
00:14:53.920 It's not about policies even.
00:14:55.240 It's a rejection
00:14:55.880 of the establishment.
00:14:57.140 A rejection of the people
00:14:58.040 and the systems.
00:14:59.940 I don't think it's an endorsement
00:15:00.980 of Paul Mandela's policies.
00:15:02.400 I bet most people
00:15:03.060 in Nanaimo
00:15:03.440 don't know those policies.
00:15:04.760 I bet they'd think
00:15:05.560 his anti-Israel obsession
00:15:07.200 is a bit weird.
00:15:09.000 I bet they're fine
00:15:09.940 with some eco-talk,
00:15:11.340 but that's all it is.
00:15:12.480 Talk.
00:15:12.800 You can't live
00:15:13.540 on Vancouver Island
00:15:14.420 without a high-carbon lifestyle.
00:15:16.960 You have to fly
00:15:17.800 or take a ship
00:15:18.880 to Nanaimo.
00:15:19.960 You can't bicycle
00:15:20.980 there from Vancouver.
00:15:22.780 Being eco-friendly
00:15:23.800 is a fashion statement
00:15:24.920 like wearing a little
00:15:26.020 colorful lapel ribbon
00:15:27.680 used to be
00:15:28.360 in the 90s.
00:15:30.860 Colby Koch
00:15:31.480 made the observation
00:15:32.960 the other day
00:15:33.600 after the Greens
00:15:34.640 formed opposition
00:15:35.700 in Prince Edward Island
00:15:36.720 that the Greens
00:15:38.180 are doing well
00:15:39.200 precisely
00:15:40.020 when they are
00:15:41.920 de-greenifying themselves,
00:15:44.260 when green
00:15:44.800 is just sort of
00:15:45.580 a color of their lawn sign,
00:15:48.480 not an ideology,
00:15:51.080 and just say
00:15:52.140 we're the alternative.
00:15:53.960 That's all.
00:15:54.480 Green means alternative now.
00:15:56.400 We're the un-liberals.
00:15:58.080 If you're sick
00:15:58.820 of smarmy,
00:16:00.620 oleaginous
00:16:01.540 Justin Trudeau,
00:16:02.960 the fake male feminist
00:16:04.280 who thinks
00:16:05.080 you've just experienced
00:16:06.080 things differently.
00:16:07.200 And those poll numbers,
00:16:08.040 I showed you
00:16:08.500 those Angus Rui poll numbers,
00:16:10.020 the number of people
00:16:11.640 who dislike Trudeau
00:16:13.180 is smaller
00:16:14.600 than the number
00:16:15.200 of people
00:16:15.640 who hate him.
00:16:17.960 I've never seen
00:16:18.820 that before.
00:16:19.820 Even with Harper.
00:16:21.180 Most anti-Harperites
00:16:22.420 just didn't like him.
00:16:23.840 They didn't hate him.
00:16:25.980 Canadians
00:16:26.540 hate Trudeau.
00:16:29.320 Anyways,
00:16:30.180 if you think
00:16:31.800 Trudeau's a fake feminist,
00:16:33.360 if you think
00:16:33.680 Jagmeet Singh
00:16:34.440 has been a failure
00:16:35.720 to launch,
00:16:36.780 and I think
00:16:37.140 he has been,
00:16:38.940 vote green.
00:16:40.020 To register
00:16:40.820 your distaste
00:16:41.920 for the whole system.
00:16:44.340 That's why
00:16:44.740 Albertans voted
00:16:45.360 for Rachel Notley's
00:16:46.120 NDP four years ago.
00:16:47.760 Abacus Research
00:16:48.520 found that 90%
00:16:49.680 of NDP voters
00:16:50.500 in 2015
00:16:51.260 in Alberta
00:16:51.900 said they did not
00:16:52.800 vote for the NDP
00:16:53.580 for their policies.
00:16:55.180 They just voted
00:16:55.880 to change,
00:16:56.720 to throw out
00:16:57.180 the old bums.
00:16:57.820 Now,
00:16:58.280 unfortunately,
00:16:59.180 they got both
00:16:59.400 change and the policies.
00:17:00.920 A green opposition
00:17:01.880 in Prince Edward Island
00:17:02.780 won't really amount
00:17:03.720 to much.
00:17:04.340 and one green
00:17:05.740 MP in Nanaimo
00:17:06.660 won't really
00:17:07.180 change the world,
00:17:07.920 but I do think
00:17:08.680 it is signaling
00:17:09.940 to voters
00:17:11.560 that there is
00:17:12.020 a place
00:17:12.740 if you want
00:17:14.300 to be a little
00:17:14.680 bit rowdy
00:17:15.320 and a little bit
00:17:15.780 anti-establishment
00:17:16.560 from the left.
00:17:17.540 It's really
00:17:18.220 the mirror image
00:17:19.060 to Maxime Bernier's
00:17:20.140 new party
00:17:20.600 on the right.
00:17:22.980 Vote green
00:17:23.880 if you're someone
00:17:25.000 who's sick
00:17:25.460 of the think-alikes,
00:17:26.840 sick of the people
00:17:27.360 who are all in cahoots,
00:17:28.680 who go to
00:17:29.380 $1,500
00:17:30.060 a pop
00:17:31.200 fundraisers.
00:17:32.220 If you're sick
00:17:32.640 of people
00:17:32.900 on the gravy train,
00:17:33.960 as Rob Ford
00:17:34.820 would say
00:17:35.160 on the right,
00:17:36.740 that green victory
00:17:38.020 in Nanaimo
00:17:38.680 is actually
00:17:39.440 a form of
00:17:40.040 Trumpism,
00:17:40.840 you know.
00:17:42.260 You know,
00:17:42.780 the old Reform Party
00:17:43.820 won around there.
00:17:45.580 Big breakthrough
00:17:46.180 in B.C.
00:17:47.080 way back in 1993.
00:17:49.220 They drew votes
00:17:50.060 from the conservatives,
00:17:51.140 sure,
00:17:51.580 but they drew
00:17:52.320 just as many
00:17:53.260 from the anti-establishment
00:17:54.980 NDP.
00:17:56.180 Did you know that?
00:17:58.080 That's what
00:17:58.700 this Green Party
00:17:59.360 is doing.
00:18:00.280 It's a none
00:18:01.220 of the above choice,
00:18:02.460 but from the left,
00:18:03.540 not from the right,
00:18:05.080 except,
00:18:06.180 except look at this.
00:18:08.020 Andrew Scheer
00:18:08.580 has a problem.
00:18:09.540 Andrew Scheer
00:18:09.980 is a neo-Nazi,
00:18:11.280 suggests McLean's.
00:18:13.760 The Globe and Mail
00:18:14.580 says we're
00:18:15.260 overrun by
00:18:16.340 neo-Nazis,
00:18:17.640 and they joined
00:18:18.420 a private chat room
00:18:19.380 where they talked
00:18:20.240 to a few dozen people.
00:18:23.180 That was the front page
00:18:24.320 of the Globe and Mail.
00:18:25.220 So the Media Party
00:18:26.280 has detected this,
00:18:28.160 and here's
00:18:29.280 Chrystia Freeland
00:18:29.880 helping them think
00:18:30.980 about it.
00:18:32.380 Well,
00:18:32.960 I absolutely
00:18:33.620 do think
00:18:34.340 that white supremacists,
00:18:37.120 white supremacist movements
00:18:38.180 are a very real,
00:18:40.500 a very grave threat
00:18:41.700 to Western liberal democracy.
00:18:44.380 I think they are
00:18:44.900 a grave
00:18:45.560 and real threat
00:18:46.660 here in Canada,
00:18:48.040 and they are
00:18:48.880 a grave threat
00:18:49.920 in many other countries
00:18:51.280 around the world.
00:18:54.000 She has said
00:18:55.160 that white supremacists
00:18:56.500 and neo-Nazis
00:18:57.200 are the greatest threat
00:18:57.960 to Canada
00:18:58.440 greater than
00:18:59.120 Islamic terrorism.
00:18:59.920 She has said that.
00:19:02.060 Now, that's nuts,
00:19:03.080 and it's not true,
00:19:03.860 but that's the media
00:19:04.600 political establishment's
00:19:06.080 narrative.
00:19:06.720 That's their message track.
00:19:07.800 That's their attack plan
00:19:08.740 against the conservatives
00:19:09.740 and against Bernier
00:19:11.260 in the next six months.
00:19:14.400 But it's just not true,
00:19:15.560 of course,
00:19:15.940 and I'm not sure
00:19:16.980 if it'll work.
00:19:17.600 I don't think it worked
00:19:18.400 against Jason Kenney,
00:19:19.600 although the hard left
00:19:20.740 would probably say,
00:19:21.480 sure, it worked.
00:19:22.260 It kept Kenney's
00:19:23.100 UCP out of Edmonton
00:19:24.540 altogether,
00:19:25.040 with the exception
00:19:26.120 of this one
00:19:27.460 white nationalist,
00:19:29.700 this one neo-Nazi
00:19:31.160 alt-right racist,
00:19:32.980 this white supremacist
00:19:34.740 who sneaked through
00:19:35.700 on Kenny's slate,
00:19:36.780 the one UCP,
00:19:38.420 MLA in Edmonton.
00:19:39.360 How did he get through?
00:19:41.400 But, you know,
00:19:41.920 I think it's not
00:19:42.900 the right in Canada
00:19:45.420 that has the nuts,
00:19:46.360 the extremists,
00:19:47.000 the anti-Semites.
00:19:48.200 I think it's the parties
00:19:49.460 of the left,
00:19:50.440 the liberals to a degree,
00:19:51.980 the NDP for sure,
00:19:53.320 but the Green Party
00:19:55.080 right into their DNA.
00:19:57.740 The party whose leader
00:19:58.700 publicly praises
00:19:59.780 Omar Khadr,
00:20:00.920 the party that drums out
00:20:02.160 a Jew as party president
00:20:03.380 because he's not
00:20:04.300 self-hating enough.
00:20:05.500 The party that says
00:20:06.380 to a candidate,
00:20:07.460 you're too anti-Israel
00:20:08.620 even for the NDP.
00:20:10.060 You're just perfect for us.
00:20:12.880 I don't think the Green Party
00:20:14.040 is going to win.
00:20:15.880 In fact,
00:20:16.440 strategically speaking,
00:20:17.460 mathematically speaking,
00:20:18.440 I think they're going to do
00:20:19.380 harm to the liberals
00:20:20.300 very, very much
00:20:21.160 and I think it's a good thing
00:20:22.680 electorally,
00:20:24.240 but they're poisoning
00:20:25.280 the public discourse.
00:20:26.300 They're normalizing
00:20:27.180 left-wing hate
00:20:28.000 and anti-Semitism,
00:20:29.300 I'm afraid.
00:20:29.640 They're normalizing
00:20:30.600 treating terrorists
00:20:32.400 like Omar Khadr
00:20:33.140 as fine citizens.
00:20:34.780 That's not good
00:20:35.240 for any of us.
00:20:37.060 Stay with us for more.
00:20:37.860 Thank you.
00:20:51.160 Welcome back.
00:20:52.660 Well, an incredible headline
00:20:54.220 on an incredible story.
00:20:56.160 Let me read to you
00:20:57.020 the version on the CBC.
00:20:59.420 The headline is,
00:21:01.040 Fed Up Canada
00:21:02.160 Leans on United States
00:21:04.360 to Help with China Crisis.
00:21:06.820 And it's just full
00:21:07.640 of amazing quotes.
00:21:08.520 Let me read just one of them.
00:21:10.340 In a sign of increasing frustration
00:21:12.620 at what it sees
00:21:13.540 as a lackluster U.S. response,
00:21:15.960 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's
00:21:17.300 government is signaling
00:21:18.480 it could withhold cooperation
00:21:20.520 on major issues.
00:21:22.400 As in withhold cooperation
00:21:23.900 from the United States.
00:21:25.960 Just incredible,
00:21:27.020 full of passive-aggressive quotes.
00:21:29.380 Joining me now
00:21:29.900 to help make sense of this
00:21:31.080 is our friend Manny Montenegrino,
00:21:33.580 former lawyer
00:21:34.340 and senior advisor
00:21:35.220 to Prime Ministers
00:21:35.940 and the CEO
00:21:37.140 of ThinkSharp Consulting.
00:21:38.360 Manny, what do you make
00:21:38.920 of this incredible story?
00:21:40.780 Well, everything with Justin Trudeau
00:21:43.420 is incredible
00:21:44.140 and everything how the media covers
00:21:46.660 is incredible.
00:21:47.420 I cannot believe
00:21:49.500 that everyone
00:21:51.740 did not see this
00:21:53.160 as foreseeable.
00:21:54.340 And let me take you
00:21:55.060 through the two major parties.
00:21:57.220 We have China
00:21:57.900 and we have the United States
00:21:59.060 and Canada.
00:22:00.500 So China,
00:22:01.660 we know that Justin Trudeau
00:22:03.960 went to China,
00:22:05.640 did a trade deal
00:22:06.600 and with all his
00:22:08.080 and everything that Justin does
00:22:11.480 is shrouded in this arrogance,
00:22:14.960 entitlement,
00:22:17.760 narcissism
00:22:18.500 with great ineptitude.
00:22:19.820 And that's what he's bringing
00:22:20.980 to these trade talks
00:22:22.520 and with relationships
00:22:24.220 with other countries.
00:22:25.500 And let me explain.
00:22:26.660 You recall that he went to China.
00:22:28.960 We did.
00:22:29.380 And on the trade deal
00:22:30.520 with China,
00:22:31.180 he talked again
00:22:32.200 about his indigenous
00:22:33.200 and his unions
00:22:34.240 and all his
00:22:35.260 virtual singing clauses
00:22:36.360 and he was kicked out,
00:22:38.320 summarily just kicked out of China.
00:22:40.320 He was labeled
00:22:41.380 the little potato.
00:22:43.780 I mean,
00:22:44.340 you know,
00:22:45.380 you had Chrystia Freeland
00:22:46.760 praising that China
00:22:49.320 demeaned our prime minister
00:22:51.540 and called them
00:22:52.200 a little potato.
00:22:53.320 Manny,
00:22:53.580 let me play that clip.
00:22:54.680 We've shown our viewers before,
00:22:55.900 but it's so amazing.
00:22:57.720 Here's a quick clip
00:22:58.460 of Chrystia Freeland
00:22:59.240 boasting
00:22:59.920 about what sounded to me
00:23:01.560 like an insult.
00:23:02.860 We're quite proud.
00:23:04.300 The prime minister
00:23:04.940 has been given
00:23:05.900 a fond nickname
00:23:07.320 in China.
00:23:08.860 He is called
00:23:09.760 Pudou,
00:23:11.120 which I believe
00:23:12.320 means potato.
00:23:13.720 And he is,
00:23:14.200 I can't say the Chinese word
00:23:15.280 in Xi'an Pudou,
00:23:17.120 little potato,
00:23:18.400 because his father,
00:23:19.860 Pierre Elliott,
00:23:20.920 Pudou,
00:23:21.960 was senior potato.
00:23:23.800 So we feel
00:23:24.640 we are off
00:23:25.780 to a great start.
00:23:28.320 Well,
00:23:28.880 she thought
00:23:29.240 that was off
00:23:29.780 to a great start
00:23:30.460 being nicknamed
00:23:31.100 little potato.
00:23:31.680 They call Donald Trump
00:23:32.940 either Uncle Donald
00:23:35.080 or Trump the Strong,
00:23:36.800 according to the New York Times.
00:23:38.020 Right.
00:23:38.240 Those are his nicknames.
00:23:40.020 Right.
00:23:40.280 And if anybody knows,
00:23:41.320 I mean,
00:23:41.560 if you were not
00:23:42.440 so self-absorbed
00:23:43.580 as this government is
00:23:44.720 and both the prime minister
00:23:46.620 and the foreign minister,
00:23:47.820 you'd understand
00:23:48.780 that China looks
00:23:49.940 at the world
00:23:50.420 a little bit different
00:23:51.240 than the Canadians do.
00:23:53.000 And pay attention
00:23:54.580 to what they say.
00:23:55.540 That was not
00:23:56.460 a good first step.
00:23:57.840 So already
00:23:58.560 we have a bit
00:23:59.420 of disrespect.
00:24:00.020 And then
00:24:01.020 you add
00:24:01.700 to the
00:24:02.080 in the China crisis,
00:24:03.260 you add
00:24:04.120 the prime minister
00:24:05.960 telling
00:24:07.040 the
00:24:08.040 China
00:24:09.480 that we are
00:24:10.160 a rule of law country
00:24:11.340 and now it comes out
00:24:12.440 that for four months
00:24:13.840 that he has been
00:24:15.220 trying to obstruct justice.
00:24:18.100 He's lost
00:24:18.720 two senior ministers.
00:24:19.940 The world knows this.
00:24:21.020 It made
00:24:21.400 The Simpsons cartoon.
00:24:23.300 So the world knows
00:24:24.720 that he lied on that.
00:24:25.960 And China
00:24:26.600 doesn't like
00:24:28.080 to be insulted
00:24:29.000 or ridiculed
00:24:30.300 and they see this
00:24:31.360 as an insult
00:24:32.400 and ridicule.
00:24:33.640 Now that's
00:24:34.120 where China is.
00:24:35.180 Anybody who studies
00:24:36.280 this knows
00:24:36.880 that China
00:24:37.300 is extremely upset
00:24:38.580 with Canada.
00:24:39.800 But
00:24:40.260 the question is
00:24:41.640 will China act?
00:24:43.480 And the answer is
00:24:44.600 they are
00:24:45.580 and they have been
00:24:46.820 and they will do
00:24:47.740 because they know
00:24:49.280 that Trudeau
00:24:50.460 has,
00:24:51.060 Prime Minister Trudeau
00:24:51.980 has delinked
00:24:53.600 Canada
00:24:54.140 from the United States.
00:24:55.660 He knows
00:24:56.840 China knows
00:24:58.220 that it's safe
00:24:59.320 to attack Canada
00:25:01.040 in many, many ways
00:25:02.340 and you've seen
00:25:02.940 now four or five
00:25:03.740 different ways.
00:25:04.560 We have two
00:25:05.360 Canadian men in jail.
00:25:06.780 Two Canadian men
00:25:07.500 that will be sent
00:25:08.440 to death.
00:25:10.560 These Canadians
00:25:12.220 have not seen
00:25:13.040 the light of day.
00:25:14.280 These Canadians
00:25:14.860 have not had
00:25:15.580 access to legal counsel.
00:25:17.580 They've been there
00:25:17.980 five months
00:25:19.040 and to that
00:25:19.960 they've added
00:25:20.480 a series
00:25:21.360 of trade
00:25:22.520 stoppages
00:25:24.020 and trade battles
00:25:25.100 with Canada
00:25:25.700 and it will
00:25:26.760 accelerate.
00:25:27.900 Why is China
00:25:28.520 doing this?
00:25:29.180 Because China
00:25:29.880 knows that it can.
00:25:31.200 Why does China
00:25:31.780 know it can?
00:25:32.700 Because Trudeau
00:25:33.540 has delinked
00:25:35.000 Canada from
00:25:35.660 the greatest
00:25:36.180 strongest nation
00:25:37.700 in the world
00:25:38.380 and that is
00:25:38.880 the United States
00:25:39.520 of America.
00:25:40.520 And Ezra,
00:25:40.960 let me go through
00:25:41.760 what everybody
00:25:43.140 knows and why
00:25:44.320 our country
00:25:45.460 and our media
00:25:46.400 doesn't say
00:25:47.500 this was foreseeable
00:25:49.040 is beyond me.
00:25:50.120 Let's start
00:25:50.820 well before
00:25:52.160 President Trump
00:25:54.780 was elected.
00:25:55.660 You might recall
00:25:56.580 that there was
00:25:58.460 a state
00:26:00.240 dinner
00:26:00.980 for
00:26:01.760 lame duck
00:26:02.980 Obama.
00:26:03.980 Right.
00:26:04.440 Now that was
00:26:05.440 the second
00:26:05.880 and this is
00:26:06.500 late in the term.
00:26:08.140 There's no reason
00:26:08.880 and this was
00:26:09.460 during the election.
00:26:10.900 When I first saw
00:26:12.020 that I said
00:26:12.520 wow what a
00:26:13.420 big mistake.
00:26:14.900 Canada should not
00:26:15.700 be getting involved
00:26:16.860 in a U.S. election
00:26:18.580 but he had a
00:26:19.420 state dinner
00:26:19.900 and at that time
00:26:20.680 you know
00:26:21.140 and everyone knows
00:26:21.860 Barack Obama
00:26:22.780 was campaigning
00:26:23.600 very very hard
00:26:25.420 for Hillary Clinton.
00:26:26.600 Well what happened?
00:26:27.720 Donald Trump
00:26:28.360 became president.
00:26:29.820 Donald Trump
00:26:30.340 knows that
00:26:31.540 Canada
00:26:32.740 Prime Minister Trudeau
00:26:34.300 was having
00:26:35.080 a great state
00:26:36.200 dinner for
00:26:37.220 the fellow
00:26:37.940 that tried
00:26:38.340 to get him
00:26:38.760 out of office.
00:26:39.340 So there's
00:26:39.680 mistake number one.
00:26:41.040 Now go further.
00:26:42.340 Right after
00:26:43.020 the President
00:26:44.020 Obama
00:26:44.780 got inaugurated
00:26:45.980 have we had
00:26:47.620 an invite
00:26:50.380 has Canada
00:26:51.240 has Prime Minister Trudeau
00:26:52.620 invited the President
00:26:54.040 to a state dinner?
00:26:55.400 We are now
00:26:56.000 in the third year
00:26:56.860 every Prime Minister
00:26:58.640 has asked
00:26:59.660 the President
00:27:01.160 to come to Canada
00:27:02.560 because we want
00:27:03.380 to build that relationship.
00:27:04.960 It's his first trip
00:27:06.180 always.
00:27:07.600 Prime Minister Harper
00:27:08.440 within a month
00:27:10.100 Ezra
00:27:10.700 had Barack Obama
00:27:12.080 in Canada.
00:27:14.160 We have not
00:27:14.860 had a state
00:27:15.700 dinner
00:27:16.180 for the President.
00:27:18.220 Trudeau
00:27:18.660 didn't have that.
00:27:20.120 Well what does
00:27:20.900 that mean?
00:27:21.620 Well it means
00:27:22.060 you're not
00:27:22.420 building any
00:27:23.660 bond or
00:27:24.900 any credibility
00:27:25.760 with the United States.
00:27:26.880 Ezra another fact
00:27:27.920 it took
00:27:28.780 the longest
00:27:29.780 period of time
00:27:30.600 to appoint
00:27:31.200 an ambassador
00:27:32.260 to Canada
00:27:33.080 by the United States.
00:27:35.120 We don't have
00:27:36.040 an ambassador today.
00:27:37.500 She has now
00:27:38.000 been moved
00:27:38.480 to the United Nations.
00:27:39.900 That tells you
00:27:40.900 that United States
00:27:42.040 doesn't see Canada
00:27:43.180 as its number
00:27:44.340 one friend
00:27:45.560 number one
00:27:46.600 trading partner
00:27:47.600 and what it means
00:27:49.400 is there's something
00:27:51.120 wrong in the relationship.
00:27:52.300 I want to point out
00:27:53.840 that especially
00:27:55.100 when Gerald Butts
00:27:56.240 was really
00:27:57.020 running the show
00:27:58.360 in the PMO
00:27:59.180 he and those
00:28:00.960 around him
00:28:01.560 talked about
00:28:02.500 reorienting
00:28:04.200 Canada
00:28:04.720 and replacing
00:28:05.900 our United States
00:28:07.240 focus
00:28:07.840 with a China focus
00:28:09.360 and that's why
00:28:09.900 you saw
00:28:10.360 the obsession
00:28:11.460 with getting
00:28:13.500 a Chinese trade deal
00:28:14.560 even though
00:28:14.960 that's very difficult
00:28:15.880 they don't respect
00:28:16.660 the rule of law
00:28:17.220 or property rights
00:28:17.920 you saw criticism
00:28:19.440 of America
00:28:20.240 for not being part
00:28:21.460 of the Paris
00:28:22.020 global warming scheme
00:28:23.240 and all sorts
00:28:24.400 of love for China
00:28:25.360 like it was
00:28:25.840 an explicit statement
00:28:27.180 we don't need America
00:28:29.200 China's our new America
00:28:31.020 it was shockingly
00:28:32.200 bold
00:28:33.240 and I think
00:28:33.780 both countries
00:28:34.720 sized that up
00:28:35.780 Donald Trump says
00:28:36.440 alright
00:28:36.760 good luck with China
00:28:38.100 and China said
00:28:39.080 ah we have a pushover
00:28:40.580 and it was
00:28:42.400 the worst of all worlds
00:28:43.660 even Stephen Harper
00:28:45.460 who was quite critical
00:28:46.720 of China
00:28:47.300 on human rights
00:28:48.160 was never abused
00:28:49.540 this way
00:28:49.860 they didn't shut down
00:28:50.960 canola imports
00:28:52.060 they didn't shut down
00:28:53.320 pork imports
00:28:54.360 those are things
00:28:55.220 that have only happened
00:28:56.120 under Trudeau
00:28:57.260 they respected Harper
00:28:58.580 even if they disagreed
00:28:59.620 with them
00:29:00.000 right
00:29:00.880 and there's more to that
00:29:01.980 it isn't just
00:29:02.780 a
00:29:03.320 it isn't that
00:29:04.240 Prime Minister
00:29:05.880 Trudeau
00:29:06.940 and all
00:29:08.140 around him
00:29:09.440 have delinked
00:29:10.980 Canada
00:29:11.260 they took it
00:29:12.080 one step further
00:29:12.980 Ezra
00:29:13.600 they took a
00:29:14.440 personal attack
00:29:15.520 on the President
00:29:16.360 of the United States
00:29:17.120 you might recall
00:29:18.300 that
00:29:18.860 absolutely juvenile
00:29:20.720 tweet
00:29:21.420 the welcome
00:29:22.440 to Canada
00:29:23.180 tweet
00:29:23.580 that just intruded
00:29:24.340 that was in a
00:29:25.360 direct slap
00:29:26.360 to President Trump's
00:29:28.240 campaign promise
00:29:29.840 for travel bans
00:29:31.600 and to secure
00:29:32.560 America
00:29:33.000 he basically said
00:29:34.540 look fool
00:29:35.720 I'm going to
00:29:36.600 open up my country
00:29:37.540 and look at the
00:29:38.060 damage it's done
00:29:38.940 to Canada
00:29:39.520 we now have
00:29:40.580 billions of dollars
00:29:41.760 lost
00:29:42.060 he's reversed
00:29:42.880 his position
00:29:43.540 we have open borders
00:29:44.740 and that was
00:29:45.540 just to make
00:29:46.620 a
00:29:47.120 to slap in the face
00:29:48.740 of your best friend
00:29:50.120 your best protractor
00:29:51.180 Donald Trump
00:29:52.500 United States of America
00:29:53.640 and so there's
00:29:54.980 many insults
00:29:56.180 and it was
00:29:56.600 I have
00:29:57.720 Ezra
00:29:58.560 I could take hours
00:29:59.580 I've listed the number
00:30:00.580 of insults
00:30:01.480 personal insults
00:30:02.500 you might recall
00:30:03.460 Christopher Freeland
00:30:04.420 attending
00:30:05.460 during the middle
00:30:07.360 of the NAFTA
00:30:09.040 discussions
00:30:09.660 a seminar
00:30:10.940 on tyrants
00:30:11.960 and linking
00:30:12.840 and linking
00:30:13.900 President Trump
00:30:15.200 as a tyrant
00:30:16.560 yeah
00:30:17.400 now so
00:30:18.080 so
00:30:18.520 like look
00:30:19.460 and you know
00:30:20.700 the results of this
00:30:21.680 was Christopher Freeland
00:30:23.080 our foreign minister
00:30:24.780 is not allowed
00:30:25.880 in the White House
00:30:26.900 yeah
00:30:27.160 that's crazy
00:30:27.880 we
00:30:28.260 yeah
00:30:29.240 there's this one
00:30:30.580 let me finish
00:30:31.200 on those two little points
00:30:32.160 and
00:30:32.700 we finished
00:30:35.000 Mexico
00:30:36.180 completed
00:30:36.980 the
00:30:37.880 USMCA
00:30:39.920 without Canada
00:30:41.320 so
00:30:42.000 so
00:30:42.620 there's a lot
00:30:44.360 of
00:30:44.680 personal attacks
00:30:46.120 on the president
00:30:47.320 go ahead
00:30:48.620 you know
00:30:48.960 I remember
00:30:49.260 your point
00:30:49.740 about
00:30:50.200 Christopher Freeland
00:30:51.000 being kicked out
00:30:51.780 at the same time
00:30:53.460 Mexico's
00:30:54.560 key negotiator
00:30:55.780 I forget the exact
00:30:57.020 number off the top
00:30:57.640 of my head
00:30:57.920 I think it was
00:30:58.340 like 50
00:30:59.120 5-0
00:31:00.320 meetings
00:31:00.740 I gotta tell you
00:31:01.680 Manning
00:31:01.940 as I joked
00:31:02.700 at the time
00:31:03.160 that's more
00:31:03.780 meetings than
00:31:04.280 most husbands
00:31:05.440 and wives
00:31:06.200 have
00:31:07.400 before they get
00:31:08.360 married
00:31:08.660 you go on
00:31:09.640 50 dates
00:31:10.500 it's time
00:31:11.080 to put a ring
00:31:11.680 on it
00:31:12.060 I mean
00:31:12.400 talk about
00:31:13.200 a different
00:31:13.560 approach
00:31:13.920 but can I
00:31:14.780 get back
00:31:15.100 to the
00:31:15.400 CBC story
00:31:16.540 just for a second
00:31:17.020 I want to
00:31:17.440 read
00:31:17.700 three short
00:31:18.900 quotes
00:31:19.400 because
00:31:20.280 they're all
00:31:21.300 off the record
00:31:22.340 by senior
00:31:23.240 liberal sources
00:31:24.080 so I don't
00:31:24.580 know who that
00:31:25.140 is
00:31:25.500 but Reuters
00:31:26.800 which wrote
00:31:27.420 the story
00:31:27.760 let me just
00:31:28.120 quote three
00:31:28.580 lines
00:31:29.000 because this
00:31:30.000 doesn't sound
00:31:30.840 like a government
00:31:31.580 that knows
00:31:32.140 what it's doing
00:31:32.760 it sounds like
00:31:33.700 a whining
00:31:34.240 government
00:31:34.740 here's three
00:31:35.800 lines
00:31:36.120 it's also
00:31:37.240 not clear
00:31:37.720 who we
00:31:38.080 should be
00:31:38.380 targeting
00:31:38.780 since you
00:31:39.420 never know
00:31:39.860 who is up
00:31:40.360 and who is
00:31:40.700 down in
00:31:41.060 the administration
00:31:41.700 at any
00:31:42.180 given point
00:31:42.760 said the
00:31:43.620 source
00:31:43.900 who requested
00:31:44.560 anonymity
00:31:45.340 here's one
00:31:46.380 more quote
00:31:46.860 at the
00:31:47.540 political level
00:31:48.300 the administration
00:31:49.140 doesn't like
00:31:49.920 us very much
00:31:50.580 said a second
00:31:51.500 well-placed
00:31:52.120 source
00:31:52.540 third quote
00:31:53.240 we're completely
00:31:54.480 in the dark
00:31:55.480 now I tell you
00:31:56.580 Donald Trump
00:31:57.260 is still
00:31:57.620 the president
00:31:58.180 Mike Pence
00:31:58.880 is still
00:31:59.140 the vice
00:31:59.420 president
00:31:59.820 they've only
00:32:00.560 had two
00:32:01.040 secretaries
00:32:01.740 of state
00:32:02.140 I think
00:32:04.300 that if we
00:32:04.860 had a healthy
00:32:05.460 relationship
00:32:06.140 country to
00:32:06.700 country
00:32:07.040 these things
00:32:07.840 could be
00:32:08.160 dealt with
00:32:08.680 this sounds
00:32:09.660 like some
00:32:10.560 whiny kids
00:32:11.540 who don't
00:32:12.640 know what
00:32:12.940 they're doing
00:32:13.360 who have
00:32:13.720 an entitled
00:32:14.260 complaint
00:32:14.960 they're whiners
00:32:16.600 they're complainers
00:32:17.340 and I don't
00:32:19.660 know it doesn't
00:32:20.360 sound like
00:32:20.760 winners or a
00:32:21.400 government
00:32:21.680 sounds like
00:32:22.200 a party
00:32:22.740 that should
00:32:23.000 be in
00:32:23.180 opposition
00:32:23.580 you're
00:32:25.680 absolutely
00:32:26.080 correct
00:32:26.540 Ezra
00:32:26.800 but it
00:32:27.060 also
00:32:27.260 sounds like
00:32:27.780 the United
00:32:28.200 States of
00:32:28.680 America
00:32:29.000 are being
00:32:29.560 very
00:32:30.260 very polite
00:32:31.500 they're not
00:32:32.500 telling the
00:32:33.160 truth
00:32:33.900 and because
00:32:34.660 what our
00:32:36.840 Canada is
00:32:37.680 saying
00:32:38.040 our liberal
00:32:39.020 government
00:32:39.360 is saying
00:32:39.580 oh we're
00:32:39.920 having a hard
00:32:40.560 time with
00:32:41.060 them
00:32:41.180 they're being
00:32:41.840 polite
00:32:42.360 because at
00:32:43.960 the beginning
00:32:44.540 if you read
00:32:45.980 the situation
00:32:46.860 right
00:32:47.360 and you
00:32:47.720 didn't have
00:32:48.320 the arrogant
00:32:49.380 narcissist
00:32:50.200 prime minister
00:32:51.260 that we have
00:32:51.840 now that
00:32:52.780 only wanted
00:32:53.520 to create
00:32:54.080 a Trump
00:32:54.860 war in
00:32:55.400 order to
00:32:55.880 get votes
00:32:57.420 in Canada
00:32:57.880 but the
00:32:58.400 President of
00:32:59.340 the United
00:32:59.480 States
00:32:59.640 the very
00:33:00.120 first thing
00:33:00.740 he did
00:33:01.320 was sign
00:33:02.220 the pipeline
00:33:05.020 deal
00:33:05.520 right
00:33:05.820 so that was
00:33:07.380 the very
00:33:07.680 first act
00:33:08.340 he did
00:33:08.740 that was
00:33:09.600 a signal
00:33:10.060 to Canada
00:33:10.640 we're your
00:33:11.340 friends
00:33:11.700 we're going
00:33:12.420 to make
00:33:12.600 the very
00:33:13.140 second thing
00:33:13.780 he said
00:33:14.240 to Canada
00:33:15.220 is Canada
00:33:16.120 is not a
00:33:16.900 problem
00:33:17.260 in the
00:33:17.960 NAFTA
00:33:18.440 discussions
00:33:19.080 we will
00:33:19.880 do a
00:33:20.360 deal
00:33:20.600 with them
00:33:21.060 alone
00:33:21.540 so here
00:33:22.360 you have
00:33:23.060 a president
00:33:24.000 that's reaching
00:33:24.860 out to
00:33:25.220 Canada
00:33:25.600 in two
00:33:26.300 very big
00:33:27.480 acts
00:33:28.000 saying
00:33:28.520 your
00:33:28.960 pipeline
00:33:29.960 your
00:33:30.180 trans
00:33:30.520 Canada
00:33:31.880 pipeline
00:33:32.360 I approve
00:33:33.180 very first
00:33:34.200 act he did
00:33:34.720 he thought
00:33:35.060 of Canada
00:33:35.580 and the
00:33:36.100 very second
00:33:36.660 thing on
00:33:37.060 negotiations
00:33:37.760 of NAFTA
00:33:38.700 he said
00:33:39.600 Canada is
00:33:40.540 not a
00:33:40.940 problem
00:33:41.260 we have
00:33:42.040 no problem
00:33:42.700 with Canada
00:33:43.120 we will
00:33:43.500 do a
00:33:43.760 bilateral
00:33:44.080 and what
00:33:44.460 was our
00:33:44.820 reaction
00:33:45.220 our reaction
00:33:46.200 by our
00:33:46.580 government
00:33:46.840 said no
00:33:47.540 no
00:33:48.280 no
00:33:48.980 and now
00:33:49.820 where are
00:33:50.480 we
00:33:50.640 we have
00:33:51.180 two
00:33:51.780 Canadians
00:33:52.360 in jail
00:33:52.940 that in
00:33:53.860 one phone
00:33:54.600 call
00:33:55.020 Donald Trump
00:33:55.940 could have
00:33:56.320 stopped it
00:33:56.880 and Donald
00:33:57.580 Trump will
00:33:58.140 not stop it
00:33:59.040 because he
00:33:59.800 has been
00:34:00.500 insulted
00:34:01.520 and what
00:34:03.760 bothers me
00:34:04.560 most about
00:34:05.260 this Ezra
00:34:05.800 if you
00:34:06.880 follow me
00:34:07.360 on Twitter
00:34:07.760 I have
00:34:08.340 called this
00:34:08.840 two three
00:34:09.280 years ago
00:34:09.780 I have
00:34:10.360 seen this
00:34:10.920 happen
00:34:11.320 we have
00:34:13.000 Canadians
00:34:14.140 we have
00:34:15.280 a great
00:34:15.880 country
00:34:16.280 and we
00:34:16.840 have
00:34:17.240 a great
00:34:18.180 neighbour
00:34:18.480 and our
00:34:19.160 great neighbour
00:34:19.700 provides us
00:34:20.520 25%
00:34:21.760 of our
00:34:22.420 GDP
00:34:22.920 our wealth
00:34:23.680 you don't
00:34:24.460 screw around
00:34:25.100 and they've
00:34:25.800 asked very
00:34:26.700 little of us
00:34:27.700 and what I'm
00:34:28.820 worried about
00:34:29.440 Ezra
00:34:29.960 is the next
00:34:30.960 shoe to fall
00:34:31.620 and that is
00:34:32.560 if this
00:34:34.040 government
00:34:34.380 hopefully this
00:34:35.080 government
00:34:35.300 doesn't see
00:34:35.740 many more
00:34:36.160 months
00:34:36.500 but if this
00:34:37.340 government
00:34:37.620 continues
00:34:38.300 to be
00:34:39.300 what I'll
00:34:41.080 call
00:34:41.440 you know
00:34:42.000 aggressive
00:34:42.780 towards
00:34:43.280 America
00:34:43.660 there is
00:34:44.700 another
00:34:45.200 shoe to
00:34:45.800 fall
00:34:46.040 and that
00:34:46.400 is
00:34:46.580 NATO
00:34:46.960 we
00:34:47.600 Trump
00:34:48.520 basically
00:34:49.440 has said
00:34:50.120 President
00:34:50.580 Trump
00:34:50.860 has said
00:34:51.300 Canada
00:34:51.920 is not
00:34:52.580 paying
00:34:52.880 its way
00:34:53.420 and there's
00:34:54.120 a 25
00:34:54.800 billion
00:34:55.740 dollar
00:34:56.180 tab
00:34:56.780 that
00:34:57.280 basically
00:34:58.440 if one
00:34:59.120 does a
00:34:59.480 number
00:34:59.720 America
00:35:00.680 is paying
00:35:01.240 for Canada
00:35:01.860 and if
00:35:02.620 Trudeau
00:35:03.260 screws
00:35:03.720 that up
00:35:04.400 Prime Minister
00:35:05.280 Trudeau
00:35:05.680 screws
00:35:05.980 that up
00:35:06.300 we're in
00:35:06.800 the hole
00:35:07.180 25
00:35:07.680 billion
00:35:08.080 dollars
00:35:08.540 well
00:35:09.120 listen
00:35:09.360 Manny
00:35:09.540 I think
00:35:09.960 you
00:35:10.220 diagnosed
00:35:11.380 the problem
00:35:12.160 very well
00:35:12.660 I follow
00:35:13.160 you closely
00:35:13.740 on Twitter
00:35:14.280 and I
00:35:14.940 encourage
00:35:15.260 everyone else
00:35:15.860 to do so
00:35:16.240 we'll put
00:35:16.620 your Twitter
00:35:17.000 handle up
00:35:17.520 on the
00:35:17.780 screen
00:35:18.080 I would
00:35:20.120 like to
00:35:20.500 ask for
00:35:21.080 your
00:35:21.280 prescription
00:35:22.120 as you
00:35:23.540 say
00:35:23.800 it's only
00:35:24.220 six months
00:35:24.780 until the
00:35:25.080 next election
00:35:25.720 and who
00:35:26.780 knows
00:35:27.100 if Trudeau
00:35:27.600 will be
00:35:27.840 around
00:35:28.120 after there
00:35:28.580 and maybe
00:35:29.260 he wants
00:35:29.860 to
00:35:30.100 maybe he's
00:35:31.260 so obsessed
00:35:31.840 with that
00:35:32.160 election
00:35:32.480 now he's
00:35:32.900 not thinking
00:35:33.360 of foreign
00:35:33.760 policy
00:35:34.140 he's not
00:35:34.460 thinking of
00:35:34.780 anything
00:35:34.960 other than
00:35:35.300 his own
00:35:35.580 re-election
00:35:36.020 but what
00:35:37.420 would your
00:35:39.100 advice be
00:35:40.100 to Justin
00:35:42.420 Trudeau
00:35:42.840 and I know
00:35:43.180 that sounds
00:35:43.620 insane
00:35:44.000 that you
00:35:44.320 would give
00:35:44.620 him advice
00:35:45.060 but if he
00:35:45.540 phoned you
00:35:45.960 up and said
00:35:46.380 Manny
00:35:46.680 we're on
00:35:47.360 opposite sides
00:35:48.040 of the
00:35:48.280 spectrum
00:35:48.600 but I
00:35:49.240 respect your
00:35:49.800 advice
00:35:50.100 and I'm
00:35:50.400 ready to
00:35:50.760 take
00:35:51.020 as a
00:35:52.140 Canadian
00:35:52.440 I'm calling
00:35:52.920 on you
00:35:53.160 to put
00:35:53.400 our
00:35:53.520 partisan
00:35:53.820 difference
00:35:54.140 aside
00:35:54.420 what should
00:35:54.880 I do
00:35:55.140 Manny
00:35:55.380 if Justin
00:35:56.620 Trudeau
00:35:56.920 actually made
00:35:57.360 that phone
00:35:57.720 call to
00:35:58.060 you
00:35:58.240 as a
00:35:58.680 loyal
00:35:58.880 Canadian
00:35:59.320 what advice
00:35:59.940 would you
00:36:00.220 give Trudeau
00:36:00.900 three things
00:36:02.380 he could do
00:36:03.060 to fix
00:36:03.600 his problem
00:36:05.040 well
00:36:06.520 there's
00:36:06.920 the first
00:36:07.680 thing he
00:36:08.260 should do
00:36:08.960 I
00:36:09.860 truly believe
00:36:11.080 that
00:36:11.600 President
00:36:12.700 Trump
00:36:13.260 is
00:36:14.360 a fair
00:36:15.660 man
00:36:16.240 and a
00:36:16.720 decent
00:36:17.020 guy
00:36:17.460 I mean
00:36:18.340 I think
00:36:19.260 that once
00:36:20.320 he's
00:36:20.640 attacked
00:36:21.140 he will
00:36:21.640 attack
00:36:22.140 twice as
00:36:23.180 hard
00:36:23.500 but if
00:36:24.220 you don't
00:36:24.640 attack him
00:36:25.160 I think
00:36:25.760 he could
00:36:26.060 be a
00:36:26.440 good
00:36:26.660 friend
00:36:27.000 of his
00:36:27.340 and I
00:36:27.860 think
00:36:28.220 what I
00:36:28.580 would
00:36:28.740 advise
00:36:29.260 and there's
00:36:30.580 so much
00:36:31.060 at stake
00:36:31.600 here
00:36:31.820 we have
00:36:32.420 our GDP
00:36:33.080 we have
00:36:33.580 our
00:36:33.700 relationship
00:36:33.960 with China
00:36:34.240 we have
00:36:34.760 two men
00:36:35.420 that are
00:36:35.940 in jail
00:36:36.720 for five
00:36:37.380 months
00:36:37.620 two men
00:36:38.260 that are
00:36:38.480 going to
00:36:38.740 die
00:36:39.000 I would
00:36:39.780 and this
00:36:41.020 could not
00:36:41.440 happen
00:36:41.800 but my
00:36:42.140 advice to
00:36:42.720 the prime
00:36:43.860 minister is
00:36:44.440 phone him
00:36:45.400 up
00:36:45.660 directly
00:36:46.460 apologize
00:36:47.220 for being
00:36:48.020 wrong
00:36:48.860 say it
00:36:49.740 was political
00:36:50.400 say you
00:36:51.600 know what
00:36:51.960 I did
00:36:52.420 all that
00:36:52.840 because in
00:36:53.380 Canada I
00:36:53.880 could get
00:36:54.160 votes
00:36:54.520 I'm
00:36:54.860 wrong
00:36:55.200 I owe
00:36:55.760 a duty
00:36:56.160 to Canada
00:36:56.880 I owe
00:36:57.480 a duty
00:36:57.880 to those
00:36:58.380 two young
00:36:58.840 men
00:36:59.100 and those
00:36:59.600 two others
00:37:00.160 facing death
00:37:00.820 sentences
00:37:01.140 I'm not
00:37:02.440 going to
00:37:02.720 put myself
00:37:03.220 first
00:37:03.620 I'm going
00:37:04.140 to put
00:37:04.360 Canada
00:37:04.760 first
00:37:05.060 I'm going
00:37:05.420 to put
00:37:05.600 those
00:37:05.820 Canadians
00:37:06.200 first
00:37:06.440 I'm going
00:37:06.840 to put
00:37:07.020 canola
00:37:07.380 farmers
00:37:07.740 first
00:37:08.000 I apologize
00:37:08.940 I really
00:37:09.740 need your
00:37:10.120 help
00:37:10.300 I mismanaged
00:37:11.580 this great
00:37:12.460 150 year
00:37:13.980 relationship
00:37:14.520 that every
00:37:15.480 prime minister
00:37:16.220 and every
00:37:17.020 president
00:37:17.520 worked on
00:37:18.140 I screwed
00:37:19.160 up
00:37:19.440 help me
00:37:20.160 out
00:37:20.400 please
00:37:21.160 that's
00:37:21.700 the first
00:37:22.380 thing I
00:37:22.740 would do
00:37:23.220 you know
00:37:24.120 what and I
00:37:24.500 think Donald
00:37:25.000 Trump
00:37:25.360 he's quick
00:37:26.220 to anger
00:37:26.700 but I think
00:37:27.160 he's quick
00:37:27.540 to forgive
00:37:28.040 I remember
00:37:28.520 when Carlos
00:37:29.240 Sleem
00:37:29.840 sure
00:37:31.000 owner of
00:37:31.400 the New York
00:37:31.720 Times
00:37:31.980 flew up
00:37:32.700 to meet
00:37:33.140 Trump
00:37:33.520 Trump was
00:37:34.200 sort of
00:37:34.480 impressed
00:37:34.860 that this
00:37:35.320 the world's
00:37:36.060 richest man
00:37:36.700 as I think
00:37:37.100 he then was
00:37:37.760 flew up
00:37:38.620 to meet
00:37:39.080 Trump
00:37:39.360 in Trump's
00:37:40.120 turf
00:37:40.480 I think
00:37:41.620 Trump's
00:37:42.000 in fact
00:37:42.400 Trump tweeted
00:37:43.120 out something
00:37:43.720 friendly
00:37:44.580 I think
00:37:45.120 Trump
00:37:45.560 like you say
00:37:46.460 someone attacks
00:37:47.280 him
00:37:47.480 he punches
00:37:47.980 back five
00:37:48.520 times
00:37:48.840 but someone
00:37:49.520 comes and
00:37:50.000 say hey
00:37:50.320 boss
00:37:50.580 can we
00:37:50.900 reconcile
00:37:51.320 I think
00:37:52.540 he loves
00:37:52.980 that
00:37:53.320 actually
00:37:53.880 I think
00:37:54.180 that would
00:37:54.460 work out
00:37:55.060 and he
00:37:56.180 he's done
00:37:57.020 it for
00:37:57.580 40 years
00:37:58.500 I mean
00:37:59.380 it you know
00:38:00.140 I liken it
00:38:00.920 to be in
00:38:01.580 trial with
00:38:02.280 another lawyer
00:38:03.540 I mean
00:38:04.100 when I'm
00:38:04.520 in trial
00:38:04.960 we are
00:38:05.460 battling
00:38:06.160 but the
00:38:07.820 day after
00:38:08.460 we're okay
00:38:09.640 we talk to
00:38:10.360 each other
00:38:10.720 and it's fun
00:38:11.140 we understand
00:38:11.860 the battle
00:38:12.260 Trump understands
00:38:13.620 the battles
00:38:14.500 that he has
00:38:15.760 the trade
00:38:16.240 and so on
00:38:16.720 but if you
00:38:17.620 make it
00:38:18.120 personal
00:38:18.600 as the
00:38:19.460 prime minister
00:38:20.000 has
00:38:20.360 and as the
00:38:21.280 foreign minister
00:38:22.520 has
00:38:22.860 and as
00:38:23.160 many other
00:38:23.680 Canadians
00:38:24.200 you have
00:38:24.700 you have
00:38:25.480 the ex
00:38:26.180 prime minister
00:38:26.900 of Canada
00:38:27.700 you know
00:38:28.360 Kim Campbell
00:38:29.100 sending these
00:38:30.000 very terrible
00:38:31.100 terrible
00:38:31.580 tweets
00:38:33.200 and while
00:38:33.940 Canadians are
00:38:34.720 suffering in
00:38:35.400 jail
00:38:35.600 I mean
00:38:36.020 everyone is
00:38:36.740 having a
00:38:37.680 feast on
00:38:38.860 the Trump
00:38:39.400 hate narrative
00:38:40.140 but the
00:38:40.780 price to
00:38:41.660 it
00:38:41.920 is our
00:38:43.660 GDP
00:38:44.200 the price
00:38:45.160 to it
00:38:45.580 is China
00:38:46.660 gets
00:38:47.160 I mean
00:38:47.800 let me
00:38:48.780 give you
00:38:49.120 another
00:38:49.380 and it's
00:38:49.940 not just
00:38:50.520 America
00:38:51.220 or China
00:38:52.440 the same
00:38:53.420 thing
00:38:53.780 happened
00:38:54.220 and if
00:38:54.560 we pay
00:38:55.020 attention
00:38:55.620 Ezra
00:38:56.080 the same
00:38:56.720 thing
00:38:56.940 happened
00:38:57.340 with
00:38:57.580 Saudi
00:38:57.960 Arabia
00:38:58.340 and India
00:38:58.920 Saudi
00:38:59.640 Arabia
00:39:00.080 the prime
00:39:00.800 minister
00:39:01.080 did it
00:39:01.560 again
00:39:01.900 his arrogant
00:39:02.500 little tweet
00:39:03.240 trying to
00:39:03.680 say that
00:39:04.020 we are
00:39:04.340 and trying
00:39:04.960 to scroll
00:39:05.400 the Saudis
00:39:05.980 well what
00:39:06.580 happened
00:39:07.060 if you
00:39:07.460 google
00:39:07.880 and find
00:39:08.500 out
00:39:08.760 what happened
00:39:09.460 we were
00:39:10.140 alone
00:39:10.580 in the
00:39:10.900 world
00:39:11.080 there's
00:39:11.360 one
00:39:11.700 CBC
00:39:12.160 article
00:39:12.660 where a
00:39:12.980 diplomat
00:39:13.360 said
00:39:13.660 Canada
00:39:14.460 must
00:39:15.240 learn
00:39:15.940 that is
00:39:16.520 now
00:39:16.880 alone
00:39:17.320 in the
00:39:17.580 world
00:39:17.780 we were
00:39:18.320 the country
00:39:19.140 that was
00:39:19.500 never
00:39:19.920 alone
00:39:20.340 we are
00:39:20.820 so this
00:39:21.580 has nothing
00:39:22.140 to do
00:39:22.640 with
00:39:22.880 Trump
00:39:23.280 or China
00:39:24.100 and the
00:39:25.220 same
00:39:25.500 thing
00:39:25.740 with
00:39:25.940 India
00:39:26.320 when he
00:39:26.820 tried
00:39:27.160 to blame
00:39:27.640 the Indian
00:39:28.900 prime
00:39:29.320 minister
00:39:29.680 for his
00:39:30.620 choosing
00:39:31.520 a terrorist
00:39:32.300 to come
00:39:32.820 and visit
00:39:33.260 India
00:39:33.640 they blamed
00:39:34.580 it on
00:39:34.920 India
00:39:35.260 these
00:39:35.840 are very
00:39:37.340 dangerous
00:39:37.840 people
00:39:38.300 in our
00:39:38.740 government
00:39:39.140 and what
00:39:39.840 has happened
00:39:40.460 in a short
00:39:41.120 time
00:39:41.640 Canada
00:39:42.440 is along
00:39:42.980 in the
00:39:43.200 world
00:39:43.440 you have
00:39:44.180 I mean
00:39:44.700 the last
00:39:46.600 thing is
00:39:47.000 you have
00:39:47.260 Philippines
00:39:48.420 declaring
00:39:49.700 war
00:39:50.260 on Canada
00:39:51.260 you raise
00:39:52.680 a good
00:39:52.920 point
00:39:53.180 because
00:39:53.580 I think
00:39:54.260 Trudeau
00:39:54.720 really
00:39:55.040 dislikes
00:39:55.540 Trump
00:39:55.840 because
00:39:56.060 that's
00:39:56.280 what
00:39:56.400 the
00:39:56.540 cool
00:39:56.720 kids
00:39:56.980 say
00:39:57.280 but
00:39:57.940 China
00:39:59.000 Saudi
00:39:59.600 Arabia
00:40:00.060 India
00:40:00.840 Philippines
00:40:01.760 he's also
00:40:02.740 snubbed
00:40:03.280 the Japanese
00:40:04.360 he's snubbed
00:40:05.460 the Australians
00:40:06.360 so I think
00:40:08.140 maybe
00:40:08.920 the brain
00:40:10.000 trust
00:40:10.340 and the
00:40:10.560 PMO
00:40:10.920 isn't quite
00:40:11.300 as brainy
00:40:11.760 as they
00:40:12.040 think
00:40:12.260 last
00:40:12.840 question
00:40:13.240 Manny
00:40:13.500 I think
00:40:14.500 that
00:40:14.680 Chrystia
00:40:15.060 Freeland
00:40:15.480 was
00:40:16.580 ill suited
00:40:17.500 to be
00:40:17.960 foreign
00:40:18.420 minister
00:40:18.840 she was
00:40:19.440 a pop
00:40:19.940 business
00:40:20.540 journalist
00:40:21.000 she is
00:40:22.140 good with
00:40:22.960 the buzzwords
00:40:23.600 and chatty
00:40:24.320 she reminds
00:40:25.920 me in
00:40:26.240 some ways
00:40:26.840 of
00:40:27.160 Catherine
00:40:28.060 McKenna
00:40:28.520 someone who
00:40:29.440 has more
00:40:30.440 confidence
00:40:31.040 than wisdom
00:40:32.060 and
00:40:32.940 if
00:40:34.080 you had
00:40:35.160 that
00:40:35.880 hypothetical
00:40:37.580 phone call
00:40:38.240 from
00:40:38.460 Justin
00:40:38.820 Trudeau
00:40:39.280 your first
00:40:40.040 piece of
00:40:40.360 advice would
00:40:40.820 be go
00:40:41.240 in
00:40:41.540 and patch
00:40:42.580 things up
00:40:43.040 personally
00:40:43.340 with
00:40:43.580 Trump
00:40:43.800 would
00:40:44.520 you
00:40:44.800 choose
00:40:45.360 a different
00:40:46.080 person
00:40:46.680 to be
00:40:47.580 the
00:40:47.840 foreign
00:40:48.360 minister
00:40:48.980 and
00:40:49.980 based
00:40:50.620 on
00:40:51.060 that
00:40:51.320 liberal
00:40:52.080 caucus
00:40:52.500 or
00:40:52.880 cabinet
00:40:53.280 is there
00:40:53.720 any
00:40:53.980 name
00:40:54.240 that
00:40:54.420 comes
00:40:54.680 to
00:40:54.880 mind
00:40:55.180 someone
00:40:55.880 who
00:40:56.120 would
00:40:56.300 be
00:40:56.460 a
00:40:56.680 better
00:40:57.040 face
00:40:57.780 for
00:40:58.020 Canada
00:40:58.440 to
00:40:58.700 Donald
00:40:59.000 Trump
00:40:59.340 well
00:41:00.580 you
00:41:01.140 make
00:41:01.680 a
00:41:01.780 very
00:41:01.940 good
00:41:02.140 point
00:41:02.460 of
00:41:02.900 course
00:41:03.360 I
00:41:03.600 would
00:41:03.780 choose
00:41:04.140 a
00:41:04.340 different
00:41:04.560 foreign
00:41:04.820 minister
00:41:05.080 when
00:41:05.560 I'm
00:41:05.880 told
00:41:06.380 that
00:41:07.020 she
00:41:07.280 is
00:41:07.500 not
00:41:07.900 allowed
00:41:08.440 in
00:41:08.660 the
00:41:08.800 White
00:41:09.040 House
00:41:09.400 and
00:41:09.980 when
00:41:10.200 I'm
00:41:10.520 told
00:41:10.980 that
00:41:11.440 Canada
00:41:11.840 is
00:41:12.020 out
00:41:12.360 of
00:41:12.500 the
00:41:12.640 free
00:41:12.860 trade
00:41:13.240 discussions
00:41:15.360 that's
00:41:16.120 enough
00:41:16.380 to
00:41:16.600 replace
00:41:17.060 the
00:41:17.280 minister
00:41:17.560 long
00:41:17.900 long
00:41:18.140 time
00:41:18.420 ago
00:41:18.600 I'm
00:41:19.100 a
00:41:19.220 big
00:41:19.400 fan
00:41:19.780 of
00:41:20.000 Mark
00:41:20.280 Garneau
00:41:20.700 I
00:41:21.140 think
00:41:21.380 he
00:41:21.540 I
00:41:21.780 think
00:41:21.980 he's
00:41:22.260 an
00:41:23.760 incredible
00:41:24.220 minister
00:41:25.120 I
00:41:25.740 think
00:41:25.960 he's
00:41:26.720 a
00:41:27.200 great
00:41:27.440 Canadian
00:41:27.880 and
00:41:28.460 unfortunately
00:41:29.100 it pains
00:41:30.520 me to
00:41:31.040 see this
00:41:31.580 great
00:41:32.020 man
00:41:32.420 having
00:41:33.380 under
00:41:34.700 cabinet
00:41:35.460 solidarity
00:41:36.020 to
00:41:36.700 become
00:41:37.240 one of
00:41:38.440 those
00:41:38.700 juvenile
00:41:39.560 I am
00:41:41.380 so proud
00:41:42.000 of
00:41:42.680 Jane
00:41:43.360 Philippot
00:41:43.860 and
00:41:44.240 Jody
00:41:45.480 Wilson
00:41:46.060 Raybould
00:41:46.420 they
00:41:47.020 stood
00:41:47.340 up
00:41:47.520 and
00:41:47.580 said
00:41:47.800 I
00:41:48.040 can't
00:41:48.340 take
00:41:48.560 it
00:41:48.680 anymore
00:41:49.060 I'm
00:41:50.180 surprised
00:41:50.520 Mark
00:41:50.880 hasn't
00:41:51.640 but
00:41:52.200 he's
00:41:52.600 the
00:41:52.740 guy
00:41:52.900 that
00:41:53.060 I
00:41:53.160 would
00:41:53.320 pick
00:41:53.560 he's
00:41:53.840 a
00:41:54.240 decent
00:41:54.560 human
00:41:54.880 being
00:41:55.180 and
00:41:55.320 a
00:41:55.740 decent
00:41:56.320 Canadian
00:41:56.820 you
00:41:57.320 know
00:41:57.460 what
00:41:57.640 I
00:41:58.240 was
00:41:58.380 hoping
00:41:58.640 it
00:41:58.840 was
00:41:58.960 in
00:41:59.060 the
00:41:59.160 back
00:41:59.320 of
00:41:59.400 my
00:41:59.480 mind
00:41:59.700 I
00:41:59.800 was
00:41:59.940 thinking
00:42:00.160 exactly
00:42:00.680 of
00:42:00.920 him
00:42:01.100 he's
00:42:01.580 worked
00:42:01.800 with
00:42:01.940 the
00:42:02.040 Americans
00:42:02.360 before
00:42:02.760 of
00:42:02.960 course
00:42:03.140 with
00:42:03.320 NASA
00:42:03.760 so
00:42:04.320 he's
00:42:04.600 very
00:42:04.800 familiar
00:42:05.240 with
00:42:05.600 them
00:42:05.780 and
00:42:06.000 he
00:42:06.220 obviously
00:42:07.000 there's
00:42:07.920 a
00:42:08.040 trust
00:42:08.340 relationship
00:42:08.920 the
00:42:09.320 fact
00:42:09.520 that
00:42:09.660 he's
00:42:09.800 former
00:42:10.080 military
00:42:10.680 there's
00:42:12.080 not a
00:42:12.400 lot
00:42:12.540 of
00:42:12.620 those
00:42:12.860 in
00:42:13.060 Trudeau's
00:42:13.440 cabinet
00:42:13.760 I
00:42:13.980 think
00:42:14.120 that
00:42:14.300 would
00:42:14.460 cut
00:42:14.700 some
00:42:14.920 ice
00:42:15.180 the
00:42:15.580 fact
00:42:15.800 that
00:42:15.940 he
00:42:16.020 just
00:42:16.220 carries
00:42:16.560 himself
00:42:17.020 with
00:42:17.620 a bit
00:42:17.860 of
00:42:18.000 dignity
00:42:18.340 and
00:42:18.600 he's
00:42:18.760 a
00:42:18.880 grown
00:42:19.100 up
00:42:19.280 I
00:42:19.440 mean
00:42:19.560 obviously
00:42:19.920 we
00:42:20.100 have
00:42:20.200 a
00:42:20.300 partisan
00:42:20.600 difference
00:42:21.040 you
00:42:21.220 and
00:42:21.320 I
00:42:21.440 with
00:42:21.620 him
00:42:21.760 but
00:42:22.200 I
00:42:22.320 think
00:42:22.520 you're
00:42:22.720 right
00:42:22.900 he's
00:42:23.380 larger
00:42:23.900 than
00:42:24.520 partisan
00:42:24.860 politics
00:42:25.380 and
00:42:26.400 he's
00:42:26.620 got
00:42:26.760 a
00:42:26.880 Canadian
00:42:27.300 to
00:42:27.720 him
00:42:27.880 by
00:42:28.040 virtue
00:42:28.560 of
00:42:28.880 his
00:42:29.540 career
00:42:29.980 I
00:42:30.160 agree
00:42:30.640 with
00:42:30.840 you
00:42:30.960 completely
00:42:31.480 and
00:42:32.040 I
00:42:32.180 think
00:42:32.380 he's
00:42:32.600 been
00:42:32.860 underutilized
00:42:34.080 by
00:42:34.760 Trudeau
00:42:35.340 probably
00:42:36.340 out of
00:42:36.680 some
00:42:36.840 sort
00:42:37.060 of
00:42:37.180 rivalry
00:42:37.680 or
00:42:38.140 inferiority
00:42:38.860 complex
00:42:39.340 Trudeau
00:42:40.020 knows
00:42:40.300 that
00:42:40.460 Garneau
00:42:40.720 is
00:42:40.880 superior
00:42:41.240 to
00:42:41.460 him
00:42:41.580 in
00:42:41.680 every
00:42:41.900 way
00:42:42.240 yeah
00:42:43.180 and
00:42:43.340 now
00:42:43.620 Ezra
00:42:43.940 I'm
00:42:44.140 going to
00:42:44.680 leave
00:42:45.420 with
00:42:45.700 this
00:42:45.980 frightening
00:42:47.520 prospect
00:42:48.180 because
00:42:49.540 obviously
00:42:49.960 I do
00:42:50.260 a lot
00:42:50.500 of
00:42:50.640 thinking
00:42:50.900 on
00:42:51.140 this
00:42:51.340 is
00:42:51.540 when
00:42:51.940 I
00:42:52.140 saw
00:42:52.380 Philippines
00:42:53.200 declare
00:42:53.920 war
00:42:54.400 it
00:42:56.080 seems
00:42:56.480 to
00:42:56.720 and
00:42:56.900 obviously
00:42:57.620 it's
00:42:58.000 a joke
00:42:58.400 but
00:42:58.620 obviously
00:42:59.040 it's
00:42:59.380 very
00:42:59.620 serious
00:43:00.140 but
00:43:00.780 what
00:43:01.020 it
00:43:01.220 tells
00:43:01.660 me
00:43:01.940 is
00:43:02.560 the
00:43:02.820 world
00:43:03.300 knows
00:43:04.120 today
00:43:04.600 that
00:43:05.200 Canada
00:43:05.660 is
00:43:06.020 delinked
00:43:06.980 from
00:43:07.340 America
00:43:08.140 and
00:43:08.940 that
00:43:09.280 means
00:43:09.620 you
00:43:09.780 can
00:43:09.920 take
00:43:10.060 there's
00:43:10.480 no
00:43:10.900 damn
00:43:11.720 way
00:43:12.140 any
00:43:12.560 country
00:43:13.060 could
00:43:13.580 take
00:43:13.800 a
00:43:13.960 shot
00:43:14.220 at
00:43:14.380 Canada
00:43:14.720 if
00:43:15.220 it
00:43:15.360 knows
00:43:15.620 that
00:43:15.760 US
00:43:16.020 is
00:43:16.240 by
00:43:16.460 its
00:43:16.660 side
00:43:16.900 so
00:43:17.320 you
00:43:17.500 have
00:43:17.880 now
00:43:18.160 five
00:43:18.620 or
00:43:18.800 six
00:43:19.020 countries
00:43:19.460 China
00:43:20.140 knows
00:43:20.660 it
00:43:20.880 can
00:43:21.060 do
00:43:21.240 anything
00:43:21.660 to
00:43:23.200 Philippines
00:43:24.700 you
00:43:25.660 think
00:43:26.620 for
00:43:26.820 a
00:43:27.000 chance
00:43:27.480 so
00:43:27.980 what
00:43:28.380 I'm
00:43:28.700 worried
00:43:28.980 about
00:43:29.300 is
00:43:30.020 and Ezra
00:43:31.120 this
00:43:31.360 frightens
00:43:31.880 me
00:43:32.120 has
00:43:33.100 the
00:43:34.400 delinking
00:43:34.940 happened
00:43:35.720 forever
00:43:36.480 and
00:43:36.920 here's
00:43:37.220 what I
00:43:37.520 mean
00:43:38.620 Mexico
00:43:39.820 is
00:43:40.220 now
00:43:40.520 America's
00:43:41.400 number
00:43:41.680 one
00:43:42.020 trading
00:43:42.500 partner
00:43:42.860 it's
00:43:43.080 no
00:43:43.360 long
00:43:43.580 Canada
00:43:43.980 it
00:43:44.780 actually
00:43:45.220 outpaced
00:43:46.260 Canada
00:43:46.660 and
00:43:47.240 if
00:43:47.680 this
00:43:48.340 relationship
00:43:48.980 and I'll
00:43:49.800 call
00:43:50.140 what the
00:43:50.760 Prime
00:43:51.040 Minister
00:43:51.300 did
00:43:51.640 with
00:43:51.860 America
00:43:52.280 and
00:43:52.460 not
00:43:52.640 and
00:43:53.080 every
00:43:53.640 Prime
00:43:54.060 Minister
00:43:54.340 no
00:43:54.540 matter
00:43:54.740 how
00:43:55.380 opposite
00:43:56.340 their
00:43:56.840 ideals
00:43:57.480 were
00:43:58.000 of
00:43:58.220 the
00:43:58.380 president
00:43:58.760 they
00:43:59.200 kept
00:43:59.640 the
00:43:59.820 relationship
00:44:00.300 strong
00:44:00.760 now
00:44:01.420 that
00:44:01.680 it's
00:44:02.060 broken
00:44:02.420 we
00:44:02.720 haven't
00:44:03.120 had
00:44:03.320 a
00:44:03.480 state
00:44:03.700 dinner
00:44:04.020 now
00:44:04.580 that
00:44:04.820 we've
00:44:05.180 delinked
00:44:05.980 Canada
00:44:06.320 how
00:44:07.300 bad
00:44:07.840 will
00:44:08.060 it
00:44:08.200 be
00:44:08.380 can
00:44:08.680 Canada
00:44:08.940 like
00:44:09.360 for
00:44:09.560 instance
00:44:09.940 Canada
00:44:10.380 is
00:44:10.540 in
00:44:10.660 the
00:44:10.800 G7
00:44:11.300 we're
00:44:11.660 not
00:44:11.800 a
00:44:11.940 G7
00:44:12.360 country
00:44:12.840 we're
00:44:13.300 10th
00:44:13.920 but
00:44:14.580 we're
00:44:14.820 there
00:44:15.080 because
00:44:15.960 wink
00:44:16.340 wink
00:44:16.620 America
00:44:17.340 wants
00:44:17.840 its
00:44:18.100 best
00:44:18.380 friend
00:44:18.700 there
00:44:18.940 when
00:44:19.580 how
00:44:20.660 much
00:44:21.280 worse
00:44:21.960 will
00:44:22.620 the
00:44:22.860 next
00:44:23.180 president
00:44:23.780 and
00:44:24.200 the
00:44:24.340 next
00:44:24.560 prime
00:44:24.880 minister
00:44:25.180 basically
00:44:26.380 have
00:44:26.920 a
00:44:27.360 hurt
00:44:28.880 relationship
00:44:29.480 and
00:44:30.000 will
00:44:30.220 it
00:44:30.380 always
00:44:30.780 be
00:44:31.000 diminished
00:44:31.460 for
00:44:31.900 what
00:44:32.100 happened
00:44:32.420 the
00:44:32.580 last
00:44:32.780 year
00:44:32.960 that
00:44:33.480 frightens
00:44:33.920 me
00:44:34.100 because
00:44:34.380 Canada
00:44:34.760 does
00:44:35.000 very
00:44:35.260 well
00:44:35.640 I'll
00:44:37.180 leave
00:44:38.000 with
00:44:38.180 some
00:44:38.980 statistical
00:44:39.580 stuff
00:44:40.040 America
00:44:40.600 is
00:44:40.760 having
00:44:41.000 a
00:44:41.140 3.2
00:44:41.860 GDP
00:44:42.840 boom
00:44:43.400 Canada
00:44:44.240 in
00:44:44.460 the
00:44:44.580 last
00:44:44.780 6
00:44:45.000 months
00:44:45.280 0%
00:44:46.160 America
00:44:46.800 has
00:44:46.960 3.2
00:44:48.020 percent
00:44:48.440 wage
00:44:49.500 growth
00:44:49.800 Canada
00:44:50.580 zero
00:44:50.880 we
00:44:51.320 have
00:44:51.600 never
00:44:52.100 been
00:44:52.420 delinked
00:44:52.980 from
00:44:53.220 America's
00:44:53.820 economy
00:44:54.280 I'm
00:44:54.980 worried
00:44:55.280 we're
00:44:55.500 going
00:44:55.580 to
00:44:55.620 be
00:44:55.740 delinked
00:44:56.840 from
00:44:57.200 economy
00:44:57.720 and
00:44:58.000 delinked
00:44:58.520 politically
00:44:58.920 and
00:44:59.460 that
00:44:59.740 is
00:45:00.020 not
00:45:00.260 good
00:45:00.560 for
00:45:00.780 my
00:45:01.160 kids
00:45:01.600 my
00:45:02.100 grandkids
00:45:02.720 and
00:45:03.120 the
00:45:03.260 future
00:45:03.540 of
00:45:03.720 Canada
00:45:04.060 well
00:45:04.800 always
00:45:05.620 learning
00:45:06.440 so much
00:45:06.880 for you
00:45:07.140 me
00:45:07.260 my
00:45:07.440 friend
00:45:07.760 always
00:45:08.520 depressing
00:45:09.440 and scary
00:45:10.320 but we
00:45:10.760 need to
00:45:11.080 know
00:45:11.240 the truth
00:45:11.720 and we
00:45:12.280 often
00:45:12.560 don't
00:45:12.880 get it
00:45:13.160 from
00:45:13.300 the
00:45:13.420 media
00:45:13.680 party
00:45:13.920 thank
00:45:14.220 you
00:45:14.360 so
00:45:14.540 much
00:45:14.700 no
00:45:15.500 problem
00:45:15.860 what a
00:45:16.320 pleasure
00:45:16.600 that's
00:45:17.140 our
00:45:17.260 friend
00:45:17.460 Manny

00:45:24.840 hey
00:45:35.880 welcome
00:45:36.100 back
00:45:36.360 on my
00:45:36.600 monologue
00:45:36.920 yesterday
00:45:37.360 about
00:45:37.560 the
00:45:37.680 Edmonton
00:45:37.960 Journal
00:45:38.280 fighting
00:45:39.440 against
00:45:39.820 free
00:45:40.040 speech
00:45:40.300 lies
00:45:40.720 the
00:45:40.880 rights
00:45:41.340 strong
00:45:42.440 and free
00:45:42.800 is our
00:45:43.140 birthright
00:45:43.560 Ford and
00:45:43.980 Kenny
00:45:44.160 must stand
00:45:44.580 the ground
00:45:44.980 we are
00:45:45.480 counting
00:45:45.720 on all
00:45:46.060 good men
00:45:46.380 to stand
00:45:46.740 up
00:45:46.920 for our
00:45:47.260 long
00:45:47.600 held
00:45:47.960 hard
00:45:48.520 won
00:45:48.880 rights
00:45:49.480 and
00:45:49.640 freedoms
00:45:49.940 don't
00:45:50.180 make
00:45:50.340 us
00:45:50.460 go
00:45:50.580 to
00:45:50.700 war
00:45:50.960 again
00:45:51.400 to
00:45:51.640 protect
00:45:51.980 them
00:45:52.280 well
00:45:53.380 that's
00:45:53.800 the
00:45:53.940 thing
00:45:54.280 in the
00:45:54.720 past
00:45:55.200 it was
00:45:55.760 an
00:45:55.880 external
00:45:56.300 enemy
00:45:56.780 Hitler
00:45:57.280 the
00:45:58.340 communist
00:45:58.700 Soviets
00:45:59.380 maybe
00:46:00.280 even
00:46:00.480 the
00:46:00.620 communist
00:46:00.920 Chinese
00:46:01.380 that
00:46:01.800 we
00:46:02.400 worried
00:46:02.760 about
00:46:02.960 taking
00:46:03.260 our
00:46:03.420 freedoms
00:46:03.680 away
00:46:03.900 from
00:46:04.040 us
00:46:04.140 but
00:46:04.260 what
00:46:04.440 happens
00:46:04.860 when
00:46:05.680 it's
00:46:06.120 some
00:46:06.480 whiz
00:46:08.040 kids
00:46:08.400 or
00:46:08.760 social
00:46:09.700 justice
00:46:10.120 warriors
00:46:10.580 in
00:46:10.880 Silicon
00:46:11.220 Valley
00:46:11.820 and
00:46:12.640 when
00:46:12.760 they
00:46:12.900 take
00:46:13.120 them
00:46:13.280 away
00:46:16.060 but
00:46:16.520 just
00:46:16.800 pushing
00:46:17.180 a
00:46:17.380 button
00:46:17.600 on
00:46:17.780 a
00:46:17.900 keyboard
00:46:18.360 how
00:46:19.060 do
00:46:19.160 you
00:46:19.260 fight
00:46:19.460 that
00:46:19.880 on
00:46:21.920 my
00:46:22.140 occasional
00:46:22.640 use

00:46:24.760 I've

00:46:28.140 swear
00:46:28.360 word
00:46:28.600 it is
00:46:29.100 because
00:46:29.360 they
00:46:29.560 don't
00:46:29.780 have
00:46:29.940 proper
00:46:30.260 vocabularies
00:46:31.020 and
00:46:31.460 they're
00:46:31.580 just
00:46:31.740 plain
00:46:31.960 rude
00:46:32.180 people
00:46:32.580 I've
00:46:33.140 also
00:46:33.440 seen
00:46:33.700 people
00:46:33.940 who
00:46:34.080 are
00:46:34.200 highly
00:46:34.480 edumacated
00:46:35.120 who
00:46:35.620 will
00:46:35.800 use
00:46:35.980 profanity
00:46:36.560 to
00:46:36.780 emphasize
00:46:37.140 a
00:46:37.340 point
00:46:46.060 I think
00:46:46.700 Scott
00:46:47.120 was
00:46:47.280 saying
00:46:47.620 he
00:46:48.060 wants
00:46:48.340 to
00:46:48.480 be
00:46:48.620 able
00:46:48.740 to
00:46:48.860 have
00:46:49.060 this
00:46:49.240 show
00:46:49.520 on
00:46:49.880 without
00:46:50.340 young
00:46:50.840 kids
00:46:51.220 who
00:46:51.420 hear
00:46:51.700 swears
00:46:52.080 now this
00:46:52.420 is an
00:46:52.700 adult
00:46:52.980 show
00:46:53.320 I don't
00:46:54.180 show my
00:46:54.580 own kids
00:46:54.960 this
00:46:55.160 they'd be
00:46:55.680 bored
00:46:56.060 but it's
00:46:56.460 adult
00:46:56.860 content
00:46:57.280 sometimes we
00:46:58.060 talk about
00:46:58.400 terrorism
00:46:58.820 we show
00:47:00.540 the
00:47:00.680 assassin
00:47:01.020 on
00:47:01.680 one of
00:47:02.640 my
00:47:02.740 Friday
00:47:03.080 noon
00:47:03.740 hour
00:47:03.960 shows
00:47:04.380 we show
00:47:05.120 the
00:47:05.260 assassination
00:47:05.640 of
00:47:06.060 someone
00:47:06.380 that's
00:47:07.680 heavy
00:47:07.940 stuff
00:47:08.340 so it's
00:47:08.840 not really
00:47:09.100 kids
00:47:09.280 content
00:47:09.560 but I
00:47:09.820 take
00:47:09.960 the
00:47:10.080 point
00:47:10.260 I
00:47:10.980 probably
00:47:11.860 don't
00:47:12.140 need
00:47:12.360 to
00:47:12.520 swear
00:47:12.780 even
00:47:13.200 once
00:47:13.640 in a
00:47:13.800 while
00:47:13.980 it's
00:47:14.960 don't
00:47:15.140 need
00:47:15.280 to
00:47:15.460 Bruce
00:47:16.940 writes
00:47:17.300 I hope
00:47:18.420 you won't
00:47:18.640 make a
00:47:18.920 habit
00:47:19.180 of using
00:47:19.560 profanity
00:47:20.040 on your
00:47:20.280 shows
00:47:20.460 we hear
00:47:20.980 so much
00:47:21.280 from
00:47:21.480 reprobate
00:47:22.040 leftists
00:47:22.460 so we
00:47:22.760 don't
00:47:22.920 need
00:47:23.140 any
00:47:23.360 on
00:47:23.520 your
00:47:23.660 show
00:47:23.840 I
00:47:24.180 highly
00:47:24.400 recommend
00:47:24.760 that you
00:47:24.940 brush
00:47:25.160 up
00:47:25.340 on
00:47:25.460 terms
00:47:25.760 which
00:47:26.260 accurately
00:47:26.860 describe
00:47:27.280 the
00:47:27.400 miscreants
00:47:27.820 churlish
00:47:29.060 oaths
00:47:29.720 and other
00:47:30.180 reprobate
00:47:30.620 people
00:47:30.920 to wish
00:47:31.480 you
00:47:31.600 prefer
00:47:31.860 swearing
00:47:32.800 just
00:47:32.980 makes
00:47:33.160 your
00:47:33.280 show
00:47:33.400 unpleasant
00:47:33.740 to
00:47:33.920 view
00:47:34.060 even
00:47:34.380 if
00:47:34.480 a
00:47:34.600 person
00:47:34.820 is
00:47:34.980 a
00:47:35.080 four
00:47:35.240 letter
00:47:35.380 word
00:47:35.600 there's
00:47:36.040 no
00:47:36.160 reason
00:47:36.360 to
00:47:36.500 sing
00:47:36.620 to
00:47:36.720 the
00:47:36.800 gutter
00:47:36.960 when
00:47:37.160 chastising
00:47:37.840 them
00:47:38.200 well
00:47:40.080 I'm
00:47:40.380 not
00:47:40.480 going
00:47:40.600 to
00:47:40.700 repeat
00:47:41.080 the
00:47:41.260 particular
00:47:41.620 swears
00:47:42.180 I
00:47:42.380 used
00:47:42.740 and
00:47:42.940 I
00:47:43.180 think
00:47:43.500 they
00:47:43.640 were
00:47:43.760 just
00:47:44.060 menacing
00:47:45.540 enhancers
00:47:46.420 I don't
00:47:46.760 even
00:47:46.920 think
00:47:47.160 it
00:47:47.280 was
00:47:47.420 name
00:47:47.680 calling
00:47:48.020 but
00:47:49.780 I
00:47:49.900 take
00:47:50.100 your
00:47:50.240 point
00:47:50.460 I
00:47:50.620 mean
00:47:50.760 listen
00:47:51.100 my
00:47:51.300 little
00:47:51.500 anecdote
00:47:51.780 yesterday
00:47:52.240 about
00:47:52.960 the
00:47:53.100 man
00:47:53.300 with
00:47:53.420 the
00:47:53.540 largest
00:47:53.780 vocabulary
00:47:54.300 in
00:47:54.560 the
00:47:54.660 world
00:47:54.860 Rex
00:47:55.160 Murphy
00:47:55.440 who
00:47:55.700 uses
00:47:56.160 swearing
00:47:57.220 not
00:47:57.700 because
00:47:57.960 he's
00:47:58.140 lack
00:47:58.380 of
00:47:58.540 words
00:47:58.720 just
00:47:58.940 because
00:47:59.120 of
00:47:59.200 punctuation
00:47:59.800 I'll
00:48:01.200 keep
00:48:01.380 that
00:48:01.520 elsewhere
00:48:01.760 but
00:48:01.960 listen
00:48:02.200 my
00:48:02.480 goal
00:48:03.680 is
00:48:04.360 to
00:48:04.820 give
00:48:05.540 you
00:48:05.620 the
00:48:05.740 facts
00:48:06.080 give
00:48:06.360 you
00:48:06.440 the
00:48:06.540 arguments
00:48:06.980 and
00:48:07.480 maybe
00:48:07.720 even
00:48:08.040 rev
00:48:08.320 you
00:48:08.440 up
00:48:08.620 a
00:48:08.740 bit
00:48:08.900 and
00:48:09.120 I
00:48:09.220 don't
00:48:09.340 want
00:48:09.480 to
00:48:09.600 unrev
00:48:10.060 you
00:48:10.260 by
00:48:10.540 cussing
00:48:11.340 that's
00:48:12.660 our
00:48:12.740 show
00:48:12.860 for
00:48:13.000 today
00:48:13.300 you
00:48:14.880 know
00:48:15.040 I'm
00:48:15.360 going
00:48:15.480 to
00:48:15.600 be
00:48:16.040 in
00:48:17.600 Ottawa
00:48:18.000 tomorrow
00:48:18.460 for
00:48:18.700 the
00:48:18.860 trial
00:48:19.380 of
00:48:19.980 Vice
00:48:20.860 Admiral
00:48:21.140 Mark
00:48:21.420 Norman
00:48:21.740 I'm
00:48:22.780 going
00:48:22.880 to
00:48:22.960 be
00:48:23.100 live
00:48:23.620 tweeting
00:48:24.100 it
00:48:24.500 and
00:48:25.380 I'm
00:48:25.560 going
00:48:25.640 to
00:48:25.700 be
00:48:25.800 doing
00:48:25.940 little
00:48:26.140 video
00:48:26.440 updates
00:48:26.760 from
00:48:26.960 outside
00:48:27.380 the
00:48:27.620 court
00:48:27.980 so
00:48:28.820 I'm
00:48:29.000 going
00:48:29.400 on
00:48:29.560 a
00:48:29.680 very
00:48:29.900 small
00:48:30.560 one
00:48:31.000 day
00:48:31.260 adventure
00:48:31.880 but
00:48:32.760 I
00:48:32.940 will
00:48:33.120 still
00:48:33.340 have
00:48:33.560 a
00:48:33.720 show
00:48:34.000 so
00:48:34.840 come
00:48:35.300 for
00:48:35.500 the
00:48:35.680 show
00:48:36.140 and
00:48:37.660 also
00:48:38.140 check
00:48:38.740 my
00:48:38.900 Twitter
00:48:39.100 feed
00:48:39.320 which
00:48:39.500 is
00:48:39.640 just

00:48:41.040 slash
00:48:41.360 Ezra Levant
00:48:41.960 and my
00:48:42.960 goal
00:48:43.300 is to
00:48:43.680 tweet
00:48:43.840 up a
00:48:44.060 storm
00:48:44.200 in
00:48:44.380 the
00:48:44.480 court
00:48:44.640 I
00:48:45.380 fly
00:48:45.780 all
00:48:45.980 the
00:48:46.060 way
00:48:46.160 to
00:48:46.300 London
00:48:46.580 to

00:48:48.760 least
00:48:49.340 I
00:48:49.500 should
00:48:49.700 do
00:48:49.940 is
00:48:50.120 do
00:48:50.280 it
00:48:50.380 in
00:48:50.480 my
00:48:50.620 own

00:48:51.480 all
00:48:51.700 right
00:48:51.920 until
00:48:52.560 tomorrow
00:48:52.800 so we
00:48:53.040 got a
00:48:53.340 show
00:48:53.620 show
00:48:54.240 as
00:48:54.480 normal
00:48:55.020 but
00:48:56.580 we
00:48:56.700 got
