00:01:17.660 You're listening to a Rebel News Podcast.
00:01:20.020 Merry Christmas and welcome to Rebel Roundup, ladies and gentlemen, and the rest of you.
00:01:33.260 I'm your host, David Menzies.
00:01:35.120 Now, normally, we look back at some of the very best commentaries of the week by your favorite rebels.
00:01:40.460 But this is a pre-recorded Rebel Roundup because, well, I'm probably under the Christmas tree,
00:01:47.320 searching in vain for presents right now.
00:01:50.260 Gee, I really hope I didn't get stiffed again.
00:01:53.940 So anyway, we're going to run some of our favorite Rebel Roundup interviews of the past year.
00:01:58.900 Leading off is Ezra Levent's Scoop of the Year about Prime Minister Justin Trudeau actually inviting China
00:02:06.380 to send members of its People's Liberation Army to Canada
00:02:10.000 so that Chinese troops could do some cold-weather training at CFB Petawawa in Ontario.
00:02:17.580 This incredible story made headlines around the world.
00:02:21.780 Although, for some reason, CBC wasn't part of the media snowball.
00:02:26.400 Gee, I wonder why.
00:02:29.420 And then there was my interview with Andrew Chapitros regarding how Goodyear's anti-Trump dress code policy backfired big time.
00:02:38.300 As for letters, you had plenty to say about my visit to Toronto's Dufferin Grove Park last summer
00:02:44.180 when the illegal squatters there, a bunch of Trigley Puffs, really, were finally given the boot by law enforcement.
00:02:52.240 And yes, they sure did throw a hissy fit in the process.
00:02:57.180 Enjoy.
00:03:01.260 My name is Ezra Levant, and I'm a Canadian journalist and author.
00:03:07.400 Full disclosure, I'm a skeptic of Justin Trudeau, Canada's Liberal Prime Minister.
00:03:12.680 Last year, I wrote a book about him called The Libranos.
00:03:15.580 This year, I wrote a book about him called China Virus, how Justin Trudeau's pro-communist ideology is putting Canadians in danger.
00:03:24.180 But even I didn't know the half of that.
00:03:28.100 I've never held a top-secret document in my hands before.
00:03:31.540 This one is marked secret in so many places.
00:03:34.420 In some parts, it says Canadian eyes only.
00:03:37.620 Other parts are marked five eyes only.
00:03:40.080 That's the name of our intelligence alliance amongst our closest allies, Canada plus the United States, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
00:03:49.280 I wonder what they're going to think of all this.
00:03:52.540 The China Files, as I call them, are 34 pages long.
00:03:56.620 I didn't steal them or hack them, nor were they leaked to me illegally.
00:04:01.200 They were actually just given to me by Global Affairs Canada.
00:04:05.200 That's the official name of the Foreign Affairs Department.
00:04:07.740 You can see the entire document, all the files for yourself, at thechinafiles.com.
00:04:14.660 I'm making the whole thing available to you and to any other reporters who want to report on this.
00:04:20.580 Something tells me Trudeau's CBC state broadcaster is going to skip this one, don't you think?
00:04:26.200 The documents are not blacked out, as most secret documents are.
00:04:30.380 Normally, you can't read the interesting parts, but not these.
00:04:33.960 They're all just slightly grayed out.
00:04:37.740 So you can still read them.
00:04:39.320 In fact, if you assume that what's grayed out is the stuff they really don't want you to know,
00:04:44.260 it makes the reading even more revealing because you see what they really think is sensitive.
00:04:49.200 Well, folks, it almost sounds like a preposterous fairy tale or something plucked from the files of conspiracy culture.
00:04:56.300 Namely, did Prime Minister Justin Trudeau really invite China's People's Liberation Army to send its troops for cold weather training at CFB Petawawa in Ontario?
00:05:08.820 And did Trudeau really rage at the Canadian Armed Forces for cancelling the training after China kidnapped Canadian citizens Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig?
00:05:20.500 Oh, you bet he did.
00:05:23.080 And please note, this tale is not one being fueled by hearsay or rumor.
00:05:28.220 Rather, it is just one of several stunning bombshell revelations found in our 34-page Access to Information document released by the Trudeau government to Rebel News.
00:05:39.560 And so damning are the contents, I'm betting the Trudeau Liberals right now wish this document never got out.
00:05:48.460 And joining me now with more on what surely must be his scoop of a lifetime at Rebel News is the commander himself, Ezra Levent.
00:05:56.220 And, you know, Ezra, it sounds so unbelievable, but then again, I keep thinking back to six years ago when Justin Trudeau, just before he became Prime Minister, remarked in Toronto that China is the basic kind of dictatorship that he admires.
00:06:12.240 Yeah. I mean, Trudeau makes these eruptions every once in a while.
00:06:16.940 You know, he says a gaffe, which, of course, means he accidentally tells the truth.
00:06:21.820 And I think the grown-ups say, oh, he didn't really mean that, or that's just a little flourish, or he got carried away.
00:06:28.520 But looking at these 34 pages, unredacted, redacted is the fancy word of saying blacked out.
00:06:34.780 Normally you get a document, a secret document from the military, it's blacked out.
00:06:40.400 And really there's very little useful that's shown, because all the good stuff is blacked out.
00:06:45.440 In this case, they only grayed it out, almost like they were using a highlighter.
00:06:48.920 The reverse of blacking it out. In fact, they sort of showed you what they thought the interesting stuff was.
00:06:54.340 So that's how we got these 34 pages of information from the military and foreign affairs.
00:07:00.300 And what they show is that this Trudeau insanity of admiring China, China his favorite country,
00:07:10.900 appeasing China, submitting to China, that's not just an affectation, and it's not just him.
00:07:16.400 That ideology has permeated throughout not only the government, but not only the elected and appointed officials,
00:07:24.660 but the permanent civil service.
00:07:27.000 The people you see in these documents, and if folks want to read them for yourself,
00:07:30.940 we've put them up on the internet at thechinaphiles.com.
00:07:35.180 Go through them yourself.
00:07:35.860 So these are lifetime, lifelong civil servants who are saying, they're basically instructing the military,
00:07:43.820 don't cancel any more joint exercises with China.
00:07:46.900 If you talk to China about postponing or canceling anything, you have to run it by us first.
00:07:52.240 When they wanted to cancel these winter warfare exercises, Trudeau's bureaucrat said,
00:08:01.040 you have to work with us on the wording of that so you don't hurt their feelings, so they don't lose face.
00:08:06.980 So it's not just Trudeau at the top.
00:08:09.460 These aren't just some goofy eccentricity.
00:08:12.360 This has permeated throughout the entire government, civil service, diplomatic corps,
00:08:18.540 and they're trying to force it on the military.
00:08:21.260 And you can imagine the idea of bringing six to eight Chinese spies, really.
00:08:26.800 Like, who do you think that China would send over?
00:08:28.780 Just some grunt, some GI?
00:08:31.180 China would be sending over six to eight spies, I don't know, with photographic memory, with intelligence training.
00:08:38.360 The idea that we would bring them to CFP Petawawa, a very important military base,
00:08:43.260 and have them there on purpose.
00:08:47.180 And they don't even have to hide the fact they're taking notes and taking pictures.
00:08:51.300 They are being trained on purpose.
00:08:53.880 They don't even have to be secretive about it.
00:08:56.040 That one was canceled.
00:08:57.200 That's what Trudeau was raging against the army about.
00:09:00.960 Even crazier, the 17 other exchanges that have not been canceled.
00:09:06.960 In this 34-page document, again, I encourage people to go over to ChinaFiles.com, see it for yourself.
00:09:13.640 The last two pages are a list of joint China-Canada military projects.
00:09:20.660 There are 18 of them.
00:09:22.940 Only one was canceled that we know about.
00:09:25.120 We are still training Chinese one- and two-star generals.
00:09:28.720 We are still training Chinese colonels.
00:09:31.280 We are sending our soldiers to China.
00:09:36.440 I don't know exactly what they're doing in China, if they're teaching or learning,
00:09:40.240 but obviously they're being spied on.
00:09:42.700 They're being put in situations where they could be compromised with a honey trap, perhaps.
00:09:47.400 You've got young, single guys from Canada, far away from home, lonely.
00:09:52.220 Oh, there's a lovely People's Liberation Army co-ed cadet there who wants to go drinking with me.
00:09:59.300 And before you know it, you're trapped in a honey trap, as they say in the spycraft trade.
00:10:05.160 So all of this is a bad idea.
00:10:08.800 We know that there is a common sense to having some lines of communication open with your enemy.
00:10:14.740 We know that during the Cold War there was that hotline between Moscow and Washington,
00:10:19.980 sort of that red phone where the American president could talk directly to the Russian dictator
00:10:25.660 just to make sure there was no miscommunication.
00:10:28.300 That was an important... I believe in that.
00:10:31.420 I believe that people should know who the other side is just so there's no miscommunication.
00:10:36.700 That's very wise.
00:10:38.580 But why are we training Chinese troops in winter warfare tactics?
00:10:43.340 There's nothing de-escalating there.
00:10:46.520 That gives away our knowledge that will be used only for bad purposes.
00:10:53.120 If not to attack us, God forbid, or the Americans, God forbid, to attack India.
00:10:58.340 They're fighting India in the Himalayas right now.
00:11:00.540 To attack the Tibetans in Tibet, the Uyghurs in Xinjiang.
00:11:04.340 Why on earth would we give this knowledge, this training, to Chinese spies on purpose?
00:11:11.320 And when the chief of defense staff said, we've got to cancel this, oh my God, did Trudeau and the whole government say,
00:11:16.940 how dare you?
00:11:18.080 You're not allowed to make those decisions.
00:11:19.900 Any degrading of relationships.
00:11:22.080 You must run by us first.
00:11:24.480 You can't let the Chinese lose face.
00:11:26.480 It's unbelievable.
00:11:27.640 And this is, of course, while the two Michaels are still in captivity.
00:11:30.820 And, of course, we have to look to our greatest ally, our biggest trading partner, namely the United States of America, Ezra.
00:11:37.560 I can't imagine this was going down well at the Department of Defense there.
00:11:43.520 Well, that's right.
00:11:44.920 And, in fact, that is made reference to in these notes because the Trudeau side is demanding from the military,
00:11:53.060 why did you cancel this?
00:11:54.720 What's your justification?
00:11:56.740 And so you can see the back and forth.
00:11:58.800 It said, well, there's the knowledge transfer and it's making our allies nervous.
00:12:03.480 So then the Trudeau side said, well, who was it?
00:12:05.880 Was it just the United States and the Trump administration or was it our other five eyes allies?
00:12:12.260 Five eyes is what they call sort of like the best friends of the allies.
00:12:18.260 It's the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
00:12:21.440 The five eyes, that's sort of like our closest allies, even closer than France or Germany or Italy.
00:12:26.780 It's like an inner sanctum.
00:12:29.420 So we share things amongst the five eyes.
00:12:32.500 And Trudeau was saying, I demand to know.
00:12:35.700 Who was it who objected?
00:12:38.040 Was it just the Trump administration or other?
00:12:40.220 So there's an undertone there of whatever Trump wants, do the opposite, unless the Aussies or the Kiwis or the Brits want it too.
00:12:48.360 So lots of pro-China ideology, a fair helping of anti-American ideology.
00:12:54.740 Like they specifically demand, was this the Americans?
00:12:58.640 Like they almost say, who made you cancel this?
00:13:01.200 And there's one more thing that I just want to note.
00:13:04.320 I read these 34 pages pretty carefully.
00:13:06.860 And the official language used by Global Affairs Canada, that's the foreign department.
00:13:11.920 When they would talk about the problems we have with China, remember how it started.
00:13:17.600 Canada arrested Meng Wanzhou, the billionaire chief financial officer of Huawei, when she was transiting through Vancouver
00:13:26.520 and were in the process of extraditing her into the United States.
00:13:31.080 So that led to almost immediate hostage-taking by China of two Canadians, Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.
00:13:38.700 In fact, I think today's the two-year anniversary of that, or maybe yesterday was.
00:13:41.920 So that's the backdrop here.
00:13:45.600 But the two Michaels aren't being held in a mansion.
00:13:48.000 No, no.
00:13:49.220 Yeah, and they're not being held in a lawful way.
00:13:52.240 And there's a big difference between due process in a democracy like Canada and hostage-taking and kidnapping in China.
00:13:59.600 What I'm saying is how these bureaucrats describe it.
00:14:02.380 They say, Miss Meng Wanzhou, Miss Meng, always very polite, and Miss Meng this and Miss Meng that.
00:14:08.880 But they won't even use the names, Michael Kovrig or Michael Spavor.
00:14:12.560 Where they say, the two consular cases.
00:14:15.240 You won't even say they're in jail.
00:14:17.120 You won't even say they were kidnapped or hostage.
00:14:19.440 You won't even say their names.
00:14:21.600 You say, Miss Meng Wanzhou and the two consular cases.
00:14:26.740 What is your problem?
00:14:28.200 What is your malfunction?
00:14:29.280 You won't even say their names.
00:14:31.680 And you claim that their repatriation is your top priority, and you can't even say their names?
00:14:37.120 Are we talking to China's civil service here or Canada's?
00:14:41.440 It's astonishing, Ezra.
00:14:42.800 And I want to go back to the documents themselves, because I personally find this interesting from a journalistic perspective.
00:14:49.360 We do all kinds of freedom of information requests.
00:14:52.100 Sometimes you get pages.
00:14:53.660 I'm not kidding, folks.
00:14:54.680 The entire page is black, right?
00:14:58.040 These are grayed out.
00:14:59.680 So I'm just wondering, was this incompetence on behalf of the bureaucrats sending it to us?
00:15:05.000 Was this a working copy that was meant to be blacked out later?
00:15:07.980 Or was there somebody on the other side, Ezra, that was doing us a favor?
00:15:11.420 Because this was a gift.
00:15:12.740 We finally got to see, in an uncensored fashion, how this case, how this project of having Chinese troops come to Canada was being entertained.
00:15:24.100 What are your thoughts on that?
00:15:25.360 Well, I have two friends who used to work in the government of Canada who would handle access to information documents.
00:15:33.340 They think this was an error.
00:15:35.540 I have another friend who is familiar with diplomatic matters.
00:15:41.360 He says it was possibly a deliberate leak of information, someone on the inside who was upset.
00:15:49.340 I tend to think it was just a mistake.
00:15:53.580 And because it's clear that this was a work in progress.
00:15:58.040 They were sort of circulating this access to information, and everyone was, like, they would send it to this person.
00:16:03.260 He would black out these.
00:16:04.560 They would send it.
00:16:05.000 So it was sort of the work in progress where everyone, they probably sent this around to five different officials.
00:16:10.720 Everyone was showing, well, I would black out this.
00:16:13.300 I would black out that.
00:16:14.500 Because you could see the different layers of being blacked out.
00:16:17.200 And so it was probably supposed to go back to a final person who would flip the switch on all these things.
00:16:22.620 And it missed that last step.
00:16:24.080 I'm guessing, because I've never worked inside Access Information myself, we file literally thousands of access to information requests.
00:16:31.020 It's a full-time project for us.
00:16:32.660 We get back, as you say, very little of use.
00:16:36.540 They're almost always blacked out.
00:16:38.040 They are always delayed.
00:16:39.480 We have waited as much as three years for a basic document.
00:16:43.780 Jeez.
00:16:44.400 But you know what?
00:16:45.740 We finally got one that mattered, and hopefully will change the course of Canada-China relations.
00:16:51.240 Justin Trudeau has been exposed as someone who defends China, abuses America, and literally wanted to train our enemies.
00:16:59.300 Ezra, it's the story of the year, as far as I'm concerned.
00:17:02.260 I mean, what an incredible piece you did.
00:17:04.340 And, you know, folks, if you want to see more, please go to thechinaphiles.com.
00:17:09.160 And, hey, Prime Minister Trudeau, I just have a question for you.
00:17:11.340 As Ezra said, you're accommodating China, but flipping the metaphorical bird to the United States of America.
00:17:18.700 Whose side are you on?
00:17:19.840 Keep it here.
00:17:21.220 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.
00:17:23.160 Goodyear Tires has apparently been caught lying when they said their anti-Mega policy going around online didn't come from them at all.
00:17:36.020 After an anonymous whistleblower from Goodyear released this image to the media showing that Black Lives Matter and LGBT Pride attire was acceptable,
00:17:43.660 but blue lives are all lives matter and MAGA attire were unacceptable, Twitter erupted at the double standard.
00:17:50.260 The employee said, quote,
00:17:51.660 The thing that we were given in the presentation was from Akron, Ohio, and we were told is for every Goodyear site, whether it was a plant or store.
00:17:59.300 This even prompted President Trump to chime in online on Twitter, saying,
00:18:03.100 Don't buy Goodyear tires. They announced a ban on MAGA hats. Get better tires for far less. This is what the radical left Democrats do.
00:18:10.880 Two can play the same game, and we've got to start playing it now.
00:18:14.340 The president calling for a boycott is a huge deal for a company, so obviously Goodyear responded.
00:18:19.780 In their statement, the tire giant claimed,
00:18:21.580 The visual in question was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate, nor was it a part of a diversity training class.
00:18:29.440 They continued,
00:18:29.980 Unfortunately for Goodyear, there has been some leaked audio from a meeting in Topeka, Kansas, which pretty much says exactly what the leaked photo said all along.
00:18:50.460 If you pride on their face covering shirts or wristbands, that will be deemed approved, because it complies with zero tolerance stand.
00:18:59.640 However, if any associate wears all blue White Lives Matter shirts or face covering, that will be not appropriate.
00:19:11.180 And that's why you never show all your cards right away.
00:19:14.000 So, supporting BLM is okay, Trump or police support is not okay, according to Goodyear.
00:19:20.100 Even by their own statement, Goodyear seems to think that Black Lives Matter is not a political statement or organization,
00:19:26.500 but saying all lives or blue lives matter is.
00:19:29.220 It's weird how that works. It doesn't make any sense to me.
00:19:32.120 So, is Goodyear lying and just got caught?
00:19:34.960 Or are they completely clueless? Or maybe is it a little bit of both?
00:19:38.320 Astonishing on so many levels. First, a company picking and choosing the proper politics and ideology for its employees to support,
00:19:48.480 and then getting caught in a bold-faced lie, and then doing some quick backtracking.
00:19:55.360 Well, sort of.
00:19:56.820 Joining me now with more on this sordid story is Andrew Chapados.
00:20:00.960 Welcome to Rebel Roundup, my friend.
00:20:02.500 Thank you. I believe this is my second appearance on the coveted David Menzies Rebel Roundup.
00:20:07.940 Well, thank you so much. I'm glad you could make an edu in.
00:20:11.860 Andrew, here's the thing. Why in the world did Goodyear wade into this PR fiasco?
00:20:19.980 I thought the idea of a tire company is to make, market, and sell tires, not to get involved in politics in the first place.
00:20:30.000 What I find usually happens is that there's got to be somebody in the public relations department or somewhere up there in Goodyear where they've been on Twitter,
00:20:39.020 so they think that everyone supports Black Lives Matter, and it's a great marketing move for them to say,
00:20:45.820 this is great, everybody will join in, and we'll all get along, and we'll probably get more money for supporting Black Lives Matter.
00:20:52.620 So somebody probably thought, oh, it's a good idea, it means no harm, everybody agrees with it.
00:20:56.880 Little do they know, or maybe they do know, I don't know, that it is a political organization.
00:21:02.600 They need to stop pretending.
00:21:03.540 In their statement, they say they don't allow employees to wear stuff that supports political groups or political candidates,
00:21:11.140 but that's exactly what Black Lives Matter is.
00:21:13.000 It's not a grassroots movement.
00:21:15.580 It's a well-funded organization, and as everybody knows now, their donations go to Democrat campaigns.
00:21:23.600 Yeah, and, you know, let's be very clear.
00:21:25.360 When you say Black Lives Matter as a generic statement, well, of course.
00:21:29.100 Every reasonable person agrees with that as much as you'd agree that white lives matter, Asian lives matter, Hindu lives matter,
00:21:37.380 however you want to frame it, all lives matter, but the actual organization,
00:21:41.480 this is something beholden to Marxism, to anarchists.
00:21:46.520 It is a very odious, anti-democratic organization.
00:21:50.840 It, you know, fuels itself on the violence we see happening in so many American cities right now.
00:21:58.240 So the idea that, you know, Goodyear was ostensibly saying, or their executive team,
00:22:05.220 that this is just a statement of solidarity, speaking out against racial inequity and racial injustice, no, it's not.
00:22:14.060 Well, that's what they do with everything.
00:22:15.500 Black Lives Matter, you can't disagree with that.
00:22:17.700 And anti-fascists, you can't disagree with that.
00:22:20.080 It goes right up to Women's March, which is founded by a terrorist amongst other people,
00:22:25.440 but one of them, a terrorist, looking up.
00:22:26.940 Speaking of Linda Sarsour?
00:22:28.460 No, there's another woman who was a convicted terrorist.
00:22:31.300 She was a getaway driver in a terrorist act, and she committed immigration fraud.
00:22:36.260 She's been since removed from the placards on the Wikipedia page and everything.
00:22:40.780 Wow.
00:22:41.060 And then there's Children's March.
00:22:43.080 It's all just names to cover for communism, essentially.
00:22:47.780 I mean, I hate to just be like, so cut and dry like that,
00:22:51.160 because everything's either fascism or communism now.
00:22:53.440 But this is what it is.
00:22:55.260 Black Lives Matter admits that they're Marxists.
00:22:58.080 They have on their website, destroy the nuclear family unit.
00:23:01.860 They're obviously anti-police.
00:23:03.300 They want to defund police.
00:23:04.640 None of that gets mentioned.
00:23:06.860 It's just, it's a nice phrase, you guys.
00:23:08.980 You don't believe it?
00:23:10.040 Like the people in the restaurants, raise your fist or we're going to yell at you
00:23:12.900 by some scrawny teenagers who don't know what they're talking about.
00:23:16.380 Now, it should be noted, Andrew, Goodyear's CEO, Rich Kramer, he said several days ago,
00:23:23.160 the company had clarified its policy to make it clear that employees can wear apparel
00:23:29.580 expressing support for law enforcement.
00:23:32.620 And of course, this is in reaction to the boycott announced by President Trump.
00:23:38.700 That's serious stuff, especially when your shares fall 6% overnight.
00:23:43.560 But missing from this is whether an employee can wear a MAGA hat or not.
00:23:50.060 Now, on the flip side, Goodyear says it has a longstanding policy of asking employees
00:23:55.560 of refraining from working place expressions of support for any political candidates.
00:24:01.520 Well, a MAGA hat isn't a specific political candidate, of course.
00:24:05.940 It's a political movement.
00:24:07.580 So the retraction, the clarification, it's very hazy to me.
00:24:12.860 I'm not actually sure if I work for Goodyear what I can and cannot wear.
00:24:17.340 What do you make of this?
00:24:18.360 I would assume by the wording, as you would with any lawyer's letter or legal document like
00:24:23.660 that, when they say something like that, when they're suggesting it, it means that they
00:24:27.140 can't force you.
00:24:28.200 We're thinking about suing you.
00:24:30.600 And I think what they would say in the MAGA defense or the point that you just made is
00:24:36.040 that they would argue, well, obviously you support Trump if you're a MAGA person, but
00:24:40.680 they wouldn't allow such nuance on the other way.
00:24:43.260 They wouldn't allow you to wear something else and say, well, this is obviously a DNC
00:24:47.740 or a communist thing.
00:24:49.240 I don't think they would allow room for that argument on the other side because no one
00:24:52.900 ever does.
00:24:53.800 And as an employer, you do have the right to implement dress code standards.
00:24:58.540 There's no question about that.
00:24:59.820 But you can't say, well, this political movement, this ideology, okay, this one, not okay.
00:25:05.880 That is completely offside.
00:25:08.000 And, you know, that's why I think the president called for the boycott.
00:25:11.800 And, you know, there was the blowback, of course, Andrew was saying, hey, Goodyear's
00:25:15.200 an American company.
00:25:16.220 They're based in Akron, Ohio.
00:25:17.500 There's a plant there, you know, with this kind of a boycott.
00:25:21.800 Americans risk being thrown out of work.
00:25:24.120 How dare you, you know, the president do this?
00:25:25.820 I say, no, no, no, what these employees, what these Goodyear tire dealers should be
00:25:30.760 doing who might be hurting from this is going to their executives, you know, at Goodyear
00:25:36.160 Corporate and going, what the hell were you guys thinking?
00:25:39.400 Well, yeah, people could get other tires.
00:25:42.400 And the thing about this is why they're backtracking so much is they have contracts with tons of
00:25:47.080 police departments.
00:25:48.600 And one of the quotes from somebody who represented, I forget where, a police department, they said,
00:25:53.840 you'll let our tires wear down by us protecting you, but then you'll stab us in the back with
00:26:00.180 these type of statements.
00:26:01.020 I'm paraphrasing.
00:26:01.720 That's essentially what it was.
00:26:02.800 You could, well, we're allowed to use your tires, but you won't publicly endorse us,
00:26:06.780 essentially.
00:26:07.360 And they're still pretending Black Lives Matter is not a political organization in this statement.
00:26:11.740 You know, and that is ludicrous.
00:26:13.260 And you raise a good point, too.
00:26:14.760 If you think of the thousands and thousands of American law enforcement vehicles that are
00:26:22.120 probably a large chunk of them buying Goodyear tires, if you're in charge of procurement with
00:26:27.040 a police force, is Goodyear at the top of your list right now?
00:26:31.040 Or maybe you're looking at competitors like Bridgestone and Toyo and Hankook and what have
00:26:35.020 you.
00:26:35.320 They provide tires for President Trump's motorcade, I'm pretty sure.
00:26:40.000 That's right.
00:26:40.600 They have in the past, yeah.
00:26:41.480 So how hard would it be for them to just switch the contract?
00:26:44.380 There is some executives, some high-up Goodyear people going into many police departments
00:26:49.140 and probably the White House and apologizing until, I don't know, their gums bleed or something.
00:26:54.560 A hundred percent.
00:26:55.380 Well, you know, Andrew, it was a great commentary.
00:26:57.140 And you know, folks, I'll tell you, I think the ostensible reason for a business to be in
00:27:02.200 business, it's to make money.
00:27:04.260 It's to return shareholder value.
00:27:06.980 It is a business, after all, not a political institution.
00:27:09.900 Now, in recent years, a lot of big companies have adopted something called CSR, Corporate
00:27:15.020 Social Responsibility.
00:27:16.560 But that's, and traditionally, that's all been about raising money for charities like
00:27:21.500 breast cancer or what have you.
00:27:23.720 This idea of a company going, wading into the weeds of politics, well, look what happened
00:27:30.200 to them.
00:27:30.900 Let's hope this is a cautionary tale for other companies out there that this is a, this is
00:27:36.840 territory that is rife with danger.
00:27:39.880 Keep it here.
00:27:40.500 More of Rebel Roundup to come right after this.
00:27:49.740 Another thing that becomes evidently clear, folks, is that although it's called Afro Indigenous
00:27:55.180 Rising, where are the Afros, where are the Indigenous?
00:28:00.380 The vast majority of these people are lily white gender studies graduates.
00:28:06.700 And I guess in 2020, being a female or someone who identifies as being female and taking off
00:28:14.060 your top, that's taking it to the man.
00:28:16.740 Oh, I'm sorry, ma'am.
00:28:19.540 I'm just reading your breasts.
00:28:21.100 What does that say exactly?
00:28:22.660 It says no justice, no peace.
00:28:24.920 Now, do you identify as Afro or Indigenous?
00:28:28.740 I identify as an ally who realizes that my ancestors colonized this country and I want
00:28:35.640 to be a part of the solution.
00:28:37.500 And what is the solution exactly?
00:28:39.260 The solution is abolishing the police.
00:28:41.820 Abolishing the police.
00:28:42.960 You seem like a nice lady to me, but if you ever got in trouble with some ruffian and
00:28:47.740 you had to call for assistance, what would you do?
00:28:50.320 Stop by the police instead.
00:28:52.020 Oh, okay.
00:28:52.540 Yeah.
00:28:53.620 So you would surrender the city to the bullies, the thugs, the criminals?
00:28:58.480 The thugs.
00:28:59.540 Okay, then.
00:29:00.440 And so now how hopeful are you of actually getting the police abolished?
00:29:06.020 It doesn't seem like it's going to happen.
00:29:07.320 How many percent?
00:29:10.360 Yeah, maybe be a better media source than if you don't know the numbers.
00:29:19.100 I think that was a greased pig that just walked by.
00:29:25.460 No, not the topless woman, the one that squealed.
00:29:30.920 What's that, sir?
00:29:32.100 I'm a stupid, weak motherfucker.
00:29:34.040 You call me a stupid something mother effer.
00:29:37.140 Weak.
00:29:37.340 Weak.
00:29:37.860 Why are we weak?
00:29:40.460 I get tired from making that shitting grin all the time.
00:29:43.440 Oh, you don't like me grinning?
00:29:45.080 Why is everybody here perpetually angry?
00:29:47.640 Bad faith argument all the time.
00:29:49.220 You're grinning at us like, tell me some more.
00:29:51.860 You have no interest in anything we have to say.
00:29:54.460 You have the mic right now, sir.
00:29:55.620 What do you want to say?
00:29:57.320 Go away.
00:29:59.040 Okay, but I'm in a public park.
00:30:00.340 I'm not allowed to be here.
00:30:01.400 Why are you wearing a mask?
00:30:02.700 Why am I wearing a mask?
00:30:04.040 I'm not wearing a mask.
00:30:04.840 Well, I'm not afraid of being identified, sir.
00:30:07.200 How about yourself?
00:30:07.840 That's not what I...
00:30:08.640 I'm talking about a pandemic.
00:30:10.060 People are f***ing dying.
00:30:11.300 What are you talking about?
00:30:11.980 You're coming here and you're getting in my face.
00:30:13.960 Give me space, please.
00:30:14.920 You came to me, sir.
00:30:16.080 You came to me.
00:30:16.820 I understand that, but I'm asking you to back up.
00:30:18.180 All right.
00:30:18.500 Are you going to follow me if I back up?
00:30:20.180 No, I will not follow you.
00:30:21.240 No, that's fine.
00:30:22.220 Now, what do you want to say?
00:30:23.100 Give me my...
00:30:23.500 I don't really want to talk to you because I have nothing to say to you.
00:30:26.600 You approach me, but you don't want to talk about anything.
00:30:28.920 Fantastic.
00:30:30.200 Yes.
00:30:30.960 This is the logic progress of the far left folks.
00:30:35.000 They approach you.
00:30:36.820 They scream at you.
00:30:38.200 And then when you ask them, what are you here for?
00:30:40.420 They have nothing to say.
00:30:41.840 And so, the two-week-long illegal occupation of Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto ended not
00:30:47.900 with a bang, but with a squeal.
00:30:50.820 So much anger, so few unable to articulate themselves, and well, just too many gender studies
00:30:58.020 graduates and Antifa wannabes with absolutely nothing to do with their lives but camp out
00:31:03.480 in a park in a filthy, tense city.
00:31:06.000 Well, goodbye and good riddance.
00:31:08.340 In any event, here's what you had to say about Toronto's latest Afro-Indigenous rising
00:31:13.440 encampment being given the boot.
00:31:16.400 Scott Calloway writes, normally I am against censorship, but today I applaud the small fuzzy
00:31:22.600 circle.
00:31:23.500 Yes, Scott, you really don't want to see what was behind those fuzzy dots.
00:31:28.840 Trust me.
00:31:29.820 The Demo Piano writes, for the record, these people are misrepresenting Indigenous people.
00:31:35.440 I am full-blood treaty Indian, yes, for a long time we were called Indian, and I believe
00:31:41.160 in law and order.
00:31:42.100 I like the police.
00:31:43.120 They protect me.
00:31:44.360 These protesters certainly don't speak for me or represent my views.
00:31:49.360 Hey, Demo Piano, you are my kind of Indian.
00:31:52.900 Tamara Fletcher writes, I'm gay and I want nothing to do with these insane people.
00:31:58.220 I hate that I am even in the same alphabetical lineup as them.
00:32:02.480 I am sickening.
00:32:03.800 Well, Tamara, you are my kind of lesbian.
00:32:07.100 David 85 writes, when did the gathering of the Juggalos come to Toronto?
00:32:12.320 Oh, David 85, how dare you insult the Juggalos?
00:32:16.820 MC Murdoch writes, I honestly can't tell if you used a soundboard for the pig squeal or not.
00:32:23.400 You know, MC, we knew we'd get a comment or two like that.
00:32:26.920 That squeal was surreal, but I swear to you, it was not enhanced.
00:32:32.820 That blimpy guy actually could squeal like a pig going to the slaughterhouse.
00:32:38.380 Hey, maybe he has a career as a voice actor.
00:32:42.240 Acid Techno 303 writes, ha ha ha, David knows exactly how to trigger the imbeciles.
00:32:48.360 His questioning is top drawer.
00:32:50.160 Sir, it doesn't take much to trigger these intellectual giants.
00:32:54.340 Just asking these people the time of day is potentially triggering.
00:32:59.720 Chris Whitling writes, man, I identify as politically left, but to see these guys getting up in David's face like this, we're better than this man.
00:33:09.040 Like, I just can't believe how poorly they make their arguments.
00:33:12.880 It's just really hard for me to see the way they treat him in these videos.
00:33:17.720 Stay safe out there, David.
00:33:18.960 Hey, thanks, Chris.
00:33:20.440 I take it that you are perhaps a classical liberal.
00:33:23.600 I respect that, but tell me what in blue hell has happened to liberalism of late?
00:33:30.660 And Jason S. writes, abolish the police.
00:33:34.320 Then goes and cries to the police because they got misgendered.
00:33:39.160 L-M-A-O.
00:33:40.200 Yes, that happened toward the end of the video, folks, by a person who was offended thanks to me misgendering him, her, it.
00:33:49.720 When I sought clarification on the proper gender, they were further offended and then asked the police to charge me with a hate crime due to their hurt feelings.
00:34:02.020 That's right, these folks don't want real police upholding the real law, but they love the idea of thought police coming down hard on those asking impolite questions.
00:34:14.820 Oh, to quote the wicked witch of the West during meltdown mode, what a world, what a world.
00:34:21.020 Well, that wraps up another edition of Rebel Roundup.
00:34:24.140 Thanks so much for joining us.
00:34:25.480 See you next week.
00:34:26.260 And hey, folks, never forget, without risk, there can be no glory.
00:34:29.960 Good night.
00:34:30.380 Good night.
