00:00:00.000 Antifa goes after a rebel news reporter today. I'll show you the footage of that
00:00:18.840 and how you at home kept her safe. It's January 30th, 2023. I'm Sheila Gunn-Reed,
00:00:24.560 and you're watching The Ezra Levant Show.
00:00:30.000 Shame on you, you censorious bug.
00:00:41.840 Oh, Antifa's at it again. The governor of Georgia declared their little caliphate hobo squat slash
00:00:47.520 training camp in the woods off limits to them a little over a week ago, and he's since declared
00:00:52.480 a state of emergency. He's activated a thousand National Guard troops to respond to anti-police
00:00:59.040 violence in Atlanta at the hands of Antifa. Now, Governor Kemp, of whom I've had many criticisms,
00:01:04.920 is at least dealing with Antifa like the domestic terror group they really are. But so many states,
00:01:11.340 progressive states, are taking a hands-off approach to this black-clad mob as it marches
00:01:16.460 through their cities. In cities across the United States, Antifa is responding with violence to the
00:01:21.680 police involved killing of a man named Tyree Nichols. Six police officers were relieved of their duties
00:01:29.060 for their involvement in his death, and five have since been charged with murder. Tyree Nichols is a
00:01:36.380 black man, but five officers charged in his murder are also black men, but that hasn't stopped the
00:01:42.700 mainstream media and the radical left, but I repeat myself, from labeling this as an act of
00:01:47.400 internalized racism. That even these black officers are guilty of white supremacy. So it's apparently
00:01:54.600 still white society's fault that five black officers are accused of killing another black man. The courts
00:02:01.320 will hopefully sort these things out, as courts are intended to do, but Antifa doesn't need a court.
00:02:09.020 They're using this act of white supremacy, so they say, committed by black men against another black
00:02:14.560 man as an excuse to riot in cities across North America. Take a look at what's happening in New York
00:02:22.000 city after dark.
00:02:47.320 Now, as you know, Rebel News' Katie Davis Court works in the Pacific Northwest.
00:02:54.720 That's a hotbed for Antifa, I think because of the progressive policies of the big cities there,
00:02:59.380 but also because, well, frankly, the living's easy and the weather's okay.
00:03:03.460 So if you're sort of a radical leftist who is sort of quasi-homeless by choice
00:03:09.320 because you've checked out of society, Portland and Seattle,
00:03:13.000 they're probably exactly the right place for you,
00:03:14.960 and, you know, drugs are also pretty readily available around those parts too.
00:03:19.220 Now, I want to show you two clips of the work Katie has been doing out on the streets after dark in Seattle
00:03:24.540 to document how much control Antifa seems to have on the streets of the Pacific Northwest.
00:03:29.740 Here.
00:03:29.860 Guys, Katie Davis Court reporting for Rebel News, downtown Seattle,
00:03:33.180 where Antifa militants are marching following the fatal police beating of Tyree Nichols in Memphis, Tennessee.
00:03:39.740 Take a look.
00:03:44.960 Get out the street.
00:03:53.000 Y'all can go protest that shit on the sidewalk.
00:03:55.540 I don't care.
00:03:56.640 It's stupid.
00:03:57.300 Get out the street.
00:03:58.040 People got places to go.
00:03:59.140 Y'all in the way.
00:04:00.860 That shit don't solve nothing.
00:04:03.800 Fuck out the way, y'all weirdos.
00:04:08.400 Like, come on.
00:04:09.340 Like, this is weird.
00:04:10.340 Get out the street.
00:04:11.280 Y'all can do it.
00:04:11.860 Y'all can do it peacefully on the sidewalk.
00:04:13.760 Black block just marching on the streets of Seattle.
00:04:40.240 It's frankly pretty regular.
00:04:41.480 Nobody seems to bat an eye.
00:04:42.540 Take a look.
00:04:43.760 Say his name.
00:04:45.340 Say his name.
00:04:46.480 Say his name.
00:04:47.600 Chirew2-Nickel.
00:04:49.020 Say his name.
00:04:50.340 Chirew2-Nickel.
00:04:53.460 Tell his name.
00:04:56.020 Chirew2-Nickel.
00:04:56.840 Say his name.
00:04:58.500 Chirew2-Nickel.
00:05:00.020 All you everyone, we're coming up for tonight, I'm not going to try to pronounce the drum on stage canceled.
00:05:05.580 Not when we come.
00:05:08.160 Black
00:05:10.660 Say his name.
00:05:40.660 Tyree Nichols.
00:05:43.860 No racist.
00:05:45.640 Police.
00:05:46.700 No justice.
00:05:47.900 No peace.
00:05:49.060 No racist.
00:05:50.200 Police.
00:05:51.360 Say his name.
00:05:52.600 Tyree Nichols.
00:05:54.300 Say his name.
00:05:55.540 Tyree Nichols.
00:05:57.060 Say his name.
00:05:58.440 Tyree Nichols.
00:06:00.040 Say his name.
00:06:01.500 Tyree Nichols.
00:06:03.700 Get your weird ass up the street.
00:06:08.360 Thank you.
00:06:09.180 I want to give a break.
00:06:10.660 But Black Bloc and Antifa, they know Katie.
00:06:13.320 They know her because of her previous good work documenting Antifa and their carnage and lawlessness.
00:06:19.660 Here's some of her prior work.
00:06:20.840 Let's go.
00:06:21.840 Let's go.
00:06:22.840 Let's go.
00:06:23.840 Let's go.
00:06:25.840 Let's go.
00:06:26.840 Let's go.
00:06:27.840 Let's go.
00:06:28.840 Let's go.
00:06:32.840 Let's go.
00:06:34.840 Let's go.
00:06:41.840 Let's go.
00:06:43.840 Come on, come on, come on.
00:07:13.840 Come on, come on, come on, come on.
00:07:43.840 They surrounded her, covered their actions using their umbrellas, and then stole her
00:07:48.060 cell phone and all of her footage.
00:07:49.940 By the way, if you know who did that to her, you can collect the bounty at StandWithKaty.com.
00:07:55.620 But friends, things were different this time, and it's because of you and your generous
00:07:59.800 crowdfunded donations to Journalist Defense Fund.
00:08:03.600 Katie, as you know, was on the radar of these domestic terrorists.
00:08:06.880 They've previously robbed her.
00:08:08.500 Who knows what they would do next?
00:08:09.880 But Katie has the commitment to make sure that you have the other side of the story,
00:08:13.440 that the mainstream media won't report or are, frankly, just too scared to report.
00:08:17.780 But Katie's not scared.
00:08:18.940 I want to show you this video taken by another independent journalist who is, don't worry,
00:08:23.820 friends with Katie.
00:08:24.920 And I want to show you how great her security detail was.
00:08:28.700 We wanted her to have the best possible security.
00:08:31.640 Look at this.
00:08:36.620 I want to show you.
00:08:39.540 I'm away.
00:08:43.720 Katie, is this soy boy messing with you again?
00:08:54.200 Oh, he touched him.
00:08:55.540 He touched him.
00:08:56.120 He just touched him.
00:08:57.580 I smacked this kid out of him.
00:08:58.940 What are you going to do about it?
00:08:59.840 Oh, my gosh, you're back.
00:09:20.720 Oh, man, you got tired of harassing Katie.
00:09:23.080 You're just like this over me in your security.
00:09:30.960 Oh, my gosh, I grew up in South Bend.
00:09:47.760 Let's just stop here and appreciate how brave Katie is.
00:10:00.200 She knows Antifa hates her guts.
00:10:02.580 She's been robbed by them, and yet she won't be intimidated by them.
00:10:06.880 And thanks to you at home, we were able to give her that security that kept her safe.
00:10:11.600 And I don't think I'm talking out of turn when I tell you that in our morning staff meeting today,
00:10:16.780 Katie said that she felt the safest she's ever felt at work.
00:10:22.080 I'm proud of that, that Rebel News looks after our employees as best we can when they're out in the field.
00:10:28.200 But I think you at home should be proud of that, too, because we as a company can't support Katie without you.
00:10:34.160 You see, that incredible professional security was paid for through your crowdfunded donations to journalistdefensefund.com.
00:10:41.600 That's the fund we use to keep Katie safe.
00:10:44.340 And we keep Drea safe and all of us safe when we need a security guard when we're out in the field.
00:10:49.860 So thank you for caring about our journalists the same way we do here at Rebel News.
00:10:55.000 Now, I want to show you that not just because of the security that she had, but because of the security, Katie was able to talk to Antifa and give us a sneak peek inside the Antifa mind.
00:11:06.540 Look at this.
00:11:07.100 I was raised conservative. I was raised hateful like you guys. And then when I came out into the world, I realized that that's not the way to live.
00:11:14.680 I mean, I can't assume shit about you guys, but I have family members who are hateful, just hated their lives because they just did not understand what life really was.
00:11:22.840 Sorry, this person is way too fabulous.
00:11:25.940 So you have an option to actually give a shit about other people.
00:11:30.140 You have one life and you decide to live as people who watch Fox News, who have this tiny world, who don't understand just how beautiful this life can be.
00:11:41.720 Why don't you like Fox News?
00:11:43.620 Huh?
00:11:43.920 Why don't you like Fox News?
00:11:44.840 Oh, because they put my friends at risk. They try to kill my friends.
00:11:47.480 I was raised watching Fox News every day and I was like, oh my God, like, I can't believe how small minded these people are.
00:11:52.940 I can't believe how hateful and uneducated these people are.
00:11:55.100 You have a choice. You have a choice to change your lives.
00:11:59.420 Would you like to know what I did before 2020?
00:12:01.960 I guess not.
00:12:04.220 Isn't that funny?
00:12:05.160 The person who's marching on the streets, who hates cops, hates cops that they don't even know, and who supports a violent terrorist movement like Antifa, thinks that other people are unhappy and hate their lives.
00:12:19.320 Conservatives at home, minding their own business, they hate their lives.
00:12:23.100 Not the people rioting in the streets. Fascinating.
00:12:28.220 But as I said, that conversation was only enabled through the security detail that Katie had standing right beside her.
00:12:35.020 Again, to support Katie and all of our journalists, including me, as we put ourselves at risk sometimes to report the things the mainstream media doesn't want you to see or are too scared to cover,
00:12:46.600 please consider making a donation at that website I mentioned, journalistdefensefund.com.
00:12:51.620 You can see how effective it was in that video today.
00:12:55.960 After the break, Katie Davis-Court joins us to talk about her adventures on the streets of Seattle.
00:13:01.040 Stay with us.
00:13:01.700 Stay with us.
00:13:32.580 But that's never stopped Katie Davis-Court from just doing her job, fulfilling her Rebel News commitment to tell the other side of the story.
00:13:40.340 And really, there's no other side of the story when Antifa's marching through your city.
00:13:44.760 So joining me now is that very brave journalist, Katie Davis-Court, who has been covering Antifa for years, but particularly this weekend as they, I guess, marched in solidarity with Antifa across the country.
00:14:00.140 Katie, thanks for joining us.
00:14:01.180 Tell us what's going on in Seattle.
00:14:02.900 As though, you know, that's a heck of a loaded question.
00:14:06.860 Seattle's awful.
00:14:07.800 But tell us what's going on right now in Seattle.
00:14:11.200 Right.
00:14:11.900 So right now, the Memphis Police Department in Tennessee released a horrifying video on Friday of a police-involved fatal beating of someone that they pulled over during a traffic stop.
00:14:25.820 Now, I'm someone that does support the police.
00:14:28.320 I am very pro-public safety.
00:14:30.460 I've seen what the defund the police movement has done to Seattle, Portland, the Pacific Northwest.
00:14:35.700 This video was absolutely indefensible.
00:14:38.120 And it was a murder.
00:14:40.980 That's the only way that you can paint it.
00:14:42.580 All the officers have actually been charged with murder.
00:14:46.180 And we're going to see where the trial takes us.
00:14:48.820 But from, his name was Tyree Nichols.
00:14:51.600 And he was a 29-year-old black male.
00:14:53.880 And so he died at the hands of police.
00:14:56.800 And over the weekend, cities were in an uprising over or across the entire country.
00:15:02.220 And in Seattle, Antifa militants marched in solidarity with Tyree Nichols.
00:15:08.040 Now, we have seen, you know, Black Lives Matter come out and do protests in Seattle.
00:15:13.340 But that is not even what happened here in Seattle.
00:15:16.400 It was Antifa agitators dressed in all black bloc trying to hijack peaceful movements as they normally do because they are opportunists and will take advantage of any opportunity given to them.
00:15:30.420 So they marched in solidarity over the weekend in Seattle.
00:15:33.580 And, of course, I'm very well known to them.
00:15:35.760 I've been targeted, physically attacked.
00:15:37.640 But they are the modern-day brown shirts and the political militia of the Democrat Party that they refused to denounce.
00:15:46.140 And so it's extremely important to shine a light on Antifa until something is done about their violent behavior towards, you know, innocent people, especially press, like myself, just trying to share the other side of the story.
00:15:58.660 So, of course, you know, they target press.
00:16:01.460 And luckily, Rebel News got me amazing security.
00:16:04.420 It's the first time I've ever felt so safe in Seattle.
00:16:07.260 But from footage that we can show, they're swarming me the whole time.
00:16:11.460 And I have about four badass security guards fending them off.
00:16:16.140 So that's what was going on in Seattle.
00:16:18.100 And there's going to be more marches in the future.
00:16:21.320 And, yeah.
00:16:21.660 Yeah, it's amazing how Antifa just jumps on every opportunity to riot.
00:16:28.540 That's what they do.
00:16:29.780 And I'm sure they don't care about Tyree Nichols.
00:16:35.220 They don't care about his untimely death.
00:16:37.640 They seem to think that this is internalized white supremacy.
00:16:42.180 Five of the officers charged are Black.
00:16:46.840 Tyree Nichols is Black.
00:16:48.520 A sixth officer today was relieved of his duties.
00:16:52.280 He happens to be white.
00:16:54.300 But, you know, for the Democrats, the Antifa, which is the Democrat street team, and the mainstream media, this is all just internalized white supremacy.
00:17:04.460 And for that, I don't know.
00:17:06.120 OK, first of all, I don't know how you make the jump to internalized white supremacy.
00:17:09.620 But I don't know how it goes from there to let's burn down a completely unrelated city.
00:17:14.740 But I think that's what we're on the cusp of.
00:17:16.240 Oh, yeah, absolutely.
00:17:17.980 It's exactly what happened with George Floyd is they, you know, they will target the Seattle police officers who had absolutely nothing to do with this crime.
00:17:27.220 And that is why actually Seattle police didn't even show up to the march.
00:17:31.200 Usually they would trail with their CRG team on bikes that they didn't show up because when they do show up, Antifa is looking for a fight.
00:17:38.900 And they want to attack the police officers and they and so now they will only come in if a crime has been committed.
00:17:45.320 And so they're basically waiting for Antifa to commit crimes so they can go in and start making arrests.
00:17:50.020 But they actually stayed back.
00:17:52.040 And it's really frightening when they do that to reporters on the ground because you're just in the middle of you have no idea what's going to happen to you.
00:17:59.680 And, yeah, they take a full advantage.
00:18:02.020 And Black Lives Matter can't they have, you know, they're not even out there because it's a black on black crime that was committed.
00:18:10.520 And so you have these white Antifa militants dressing up in all black log, shielding their faces and terrorizing the community.
00:18:19.020 Yeah, let's talk about this a little bit because the police, as you point out, don't show up to these things because they are they are going to be the targets of Antifa.
00:18:31.320 And if they you know, the police are armed, but if they start fighting back, then now we've got dead Antifa, we've got more riots and it's it's will spark a catastrophe across the country, I think.
00:18:46.760 So the police just don't go, which, OK, I get it.
00:18:50.720 But at the same time, it's your job to go.
00:18:53.740 And so it leaves people like you to have to contract your security out to make sure that you're safe when police are that's their job is to police the streets and make sure it's safe for law abiding people to walk the streets, do their jobs.
00:19:09.380 But that's not the case in Seattle.
00:19:11.420 Basically, it's whatever Antifa wants that night.
00:19:14.660 The police have to respond to make sure that they don't upset Antifa.
00:19:18.200 Is that what I'm getting here?
00:19:19.140 Yeah, pretty much they because they know that they are we have local media here that is not on the side of the truth.
00:19:27.800 They are on the side of the Antifa aggressors.
00:19:29.880 And I've seen it firsthand.
00:19:32.220 You know, I've combated the fake news here with the articles that they put out against our police.
00:19:36.440 And our local news will say we'll only show clips of police responding to the violence and say the police have violently assaulted these Antifa terrorists instead of the Antifa targeting them first.
00:19:48.900 And so that's why it's important for Rebel News to be out there going, sharing the full clips.
00:19:52.640 Oh, look, Antifa actually attacked them first and they're responding, making arrests.
00:19:56.960 And so, yeah, they know that they are going to be all across the headlines.
00:20:01.260 Seattle police violently assaults peaceful protesters.
00:20:04.500 And, you know, this is just Seattle, but it happened across the entire country.
00:20:08.720 And I think the two cities that were actually hit the worst.
00:20:11.180 Memphis was very peaceful, except for at the end, there was a few agitators going behind looting.
00:20:16.580 But the police were attacked in New York City and Los Angeles, the two biggest, you know, highest populations in our country.
00:20:25.640 And so that is exactly right.
00:20:28.840 People will take every opportunity to attack police that have absolutely nothing.
00:20:33.500 And, you know, Seattle, we were the model police reform department.
00:20:39.420 We are the most progressive police department in the entire country.
00:20:44.300 And it's still not enough for these agitators.
00:20:46.580 They will not stop until they get full police abolition.
00:20:48.940 And now it's just concerned citizens reaping in the effects of what the Antifa and the Black Lives Matter defund the police movement has done.
00:20:57.040 And it's completely destroyed our city.
00:20:59.700 You know, what would effectively be the difference, though, from now to police abolition in Seattle or Portland?
00:21:07.240 Because the police are not responding to Antifa anyway.
00:21:09.760 So I guess they got their way.
00:21:12.360 The police force is, for all intents and purposes, at least when dealing with Antifa, abolished.
00:21:17.400 It's funny how you pointed out that things were pretty peaceful in Memphis and pretty peaceful in Atlanta, Georgia.
00:21:25.320 Yeah.
00:21:26.640 Because Governor Kemp, I know I've been critical of him from time to time, but he is treating them like the domestic terrorists that they are.
00:21:35.040 He basically said, your little caliphate training camp hobo squat in the woods, that's illegal.
00:21:40.240 Get out of there.
00:21:40.840 He declared a state of emergency, and he's called in 1,000 National Guard, which is what they should have done in New York.
00:21:49.560 It's what they should have done in L.A., and it's probably what they're going to need to do in Seattle and Portland if they ever want to regain control of their own cities.
00:21:58.280 It's funny the conservative governors get this, right?
00:22:00.620 Yeah, you're exactly right, you know, and Governor Kemp, actually, they were all charged with domestic terrorism charges.
00:22:07.760 And where they marched in Seattle this on Friday was where they overthrew the Seattle Police East Precinct in the 2020 riots and made the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.
00:22:18.400 And so you're right when you say the police don't respond, but it's also because they have been so significantly defunded that the officers have fled the department in droves.
00:22:28.980 We, if anything, were to violently break out even a fraction of what happened here in 2020, there would be no officers to even respond because they have to respond to other life-threatening crimes that are being committed when these violent riots break out.
00:22:45.800 So, yeah, Governor Inslee would need to call in the National Guard, but when he called in the National Guard in 2020, he made sure that they were unarmed.
00:22:54.480 So he had to, so he disarmed our National Guard and made them stand with just, you know, the batons on the front lines of violence.
00:23:03.780 But then you see the Governor Kemp, they were all bringing in tanks like, yep, you're not going to be burning down our city.
00:23:09.600 It's just, the Pacific Northwest is ground zero for this Antifa progressive, radical, far-left extremists.
00:23:18.820 And they are effective because any conservative that even tries to hold a remotely, you know, we want to support the police rally, they get violently attacked.
00:23:30.040 And Governor Inslee has never spoken out against Antifa.
00:23:33.260 Mayor of Seattle has never spoken out against Antifa.
00:23:35.740 Our old mayor said that the riots were a summer of love.
00:23:38.320 And so, yeah, we are still, we are still in ground zero, but it's also, we have to report on it because we have legislators that want to put legislation through to label them a domestic terrorist group.
00:23:50.720 And I am not going to stop until something like that happens.
00:23:53.940 It's, I'm concerned that while I'm like, yep, you go Governor Kemp, my concern is that it will force those Antifa to places that are more progressive.
00:24:08.920 So you'll get a bigger population of the, these Democrat street teams in places like Portland and Seattle, because they, Portland and Seattle, they have the three things that these Democrat street teams love.
00:24:21.820 Progressive anti-police policies, nice weather, because it's easy to be, it's easy to be quasi, quasi homeless dirtbag by choice in nice weather.
00:24:34.000 And easy access to drugs and easy access to drugs and drug policy.
00:24:39.180 And so these, the dregs of society end up flocking there and the decent people end up being overwhelmed by them.
00:24:46.820 But you were not overwhelmed by them.
00:24:49.140 One of the most heartening things I saw over the weekend was, well, first of all, how brave you were, because you have been robbed by these guys.
00:24:56.340 And yet you were, you were insistent, I'm going back out, I'm going to cover these guys, I have to go.
00:25:04.020 And we said, yep, fine, only if you have security, only if you have security.
00:25:08.680 And you got sent with some of the best security I've ever seen in my life.
00:25:14.300 I'm so proud.
00:25:16.140 What was it like working when you could actually be safe in an Antifa mob?
00:25:20.980 It was amazing.
00:25:22.660 Usually I would have to, gosh, without security, I would go in all black block.
00:25:27.480 I would hide my phone because they attack any phones that they see because they don't want people filming their crimes.
00:25:33.740 It was amazing.
00:25:34.760 I had four huge security guards surrounding me at all times.
00:25:39.040 I was able to report live.
00:25:41.820 I've never been able to do that before.
00:25:43.480 They would be like, oh, try to locate me live.
00:25:47.000 I was able to report live.
00:25:48.620 I was able to do live clips.
00:25:49.800 I was able to tweet.
00:25:51.340 Usually I would have to run down an alley to post clips and then come back out to just make sure I was safe.
00:25:58.140 It was incredible.
00:25:59.240 And it makes the world of difference.
00:26:00.620 You honestly cannot report on these situations without security, especially me.
00:26:05.780 I got away with it in 2020.
00:26:08.020 And when police were on the ground, it makes a huge difference for reporters.
00:26:11.100 But now when they don't show up, you have to have security.
00:26:13.820 You cannot report on these people without it.
00:26:15.600 And just the amount, like what you said, how often I'm targeted.
00:26:19.880 It was amazing.
00:26:21.540 I mean, they didn't even, well, yeah, they tried, you know, would shine.
00:26:25.360 They strobed lights in my face and would try to block my footage from me, like filming.
00:26:29.900 But my security prevented anything from happening to me.
00:26:33.720 And if they were there, I would have hands down been attacked.
00:26:36.900 Yeah.
00:26:37.340 I would have said, Katie, you're not allowed to go.
00:26:39.580 Like at all.
00:26:40.480 I would have just said, we're not sending you back out.
00:26:42.940 Because it's not worth you getting hurt to get the news.
00:26:46.360 And I think our viewers at home agree with me there.
00:26:49.020 And you were even able to stop and interview, like some of the Antifa, which I thought was
00:26:54.200 interesting because, you know, like that's like next level when you can sort of stick a
00:26:58.940 camera in their face and ask them, like, what are you doing out here to get a little snippet
00:27:03.780 inside their brain?
00:27:05.440 You don't get to see that because conservative journalists, it's too dangerous for you to do
00:27:10.100 that.
00:27:10.320 So that's the impact of our viewers contributing to Journalist Defense Fund.
00:27:15.580 You are seeing snippets from Antifa you would never see anywhere else.
00:27:19.520 Yeah.
00:27:20.120 Yeah.
00:27:20.340 Good point.
00:27:20.960 And, you know, the woman that actually gave me that small interview, she said that she
00:27:25.720 was raised conservative and hateful like me.
00:27:29.000 And I'm just like, yes, I'm the hateful one just out here trying to report the truth while
00:27:33.160 you guys are like engaging in terrorism.
00:27:35.640 So, yeah, but that's like, we are seeing an inside scoop of Antifa and this is where they
00:27:41.920 are.
00:27:42.180 And like you said earlier, Seattle and Portland, they travel back and forth.
00:27:46.180 And something that Elon Musk has done effectively with taking over Twitter is he has blocked
00:27:51.460 their accounts when they tried to post riots.
00:27:55.200 And so they have actually, that has actually put a hinder on them organizing, which is why
00:28:00.680 we haven't seen the huge numbers yet.
00:28:02.500 But I think that they're going to try to figure out a way around it and start mobilizing together
00:28:07.840 again.
00:28:09.060 Yeah.
00:28:09.440 I can't wait for the next summer of love.
00:28:11.560 Yeah.
00:28:12.220 Katie.
00:28:12.500 Thanks so much for being so brave out there on the streets of Seattle.
00:28:17.560 And thank you to everybody at home.
00:28:19.040 I think I say this on behalf of you for contributing to Journalist Defense Fund to keep not just Katie
00:28:24.100 safe, but all of us, including me when I wander out there.
00:28:27.040 So thank you so much, Katie and everybody at home.
00:28:30.580 And stay with us because we have letters to Ezra unceremoniously read by me after the break.
00:28:36.920 Well, we've come to the portion of the show where we invite your viewer feedback.
00:28:51.600 Unlike the mainstream media, we actually care about what you think about the work that we're
00:28:55.240 doing here at Rebel News, and we love to hear from you.
00:28:58.300 So our first letter is on Ezra's interview with Project Veritas on their crazy undercover
00:29:07.820 Pfizer report, where the Pfizer official lost their mind, tried to lock the door, said he
00:29:16.300 was lying, was screaming.
00:29:18.660 You know what the moral of the story there is?
00:29:20.260 If you are on a date with somebody way out of your league, and maybe you work for Big
00:29:27.360 Pharma or the mainstream media, and they're asking a lot of questions about your job, that's
00:29:33.720 Project Veritas.
00:29:35.600 That's not love.
00:29:36.920 Anyway, let's get into some of these comments.
00:29:40.240 On Project Veritas' Pfizer report, Dr. Gadget writes, Rebel News should train up with Project
00:29:44.600 Veritas, help to do the same investigative work in Canada.
00:29:48.280 We need it.
00:29:48.740 Now, we've done a fair bit of investigative work, undercover work, but we had to do it
00:29:54.500 out of the country because, well, frankly, everybody knows who we are.
00:30:00.480 It's kind of hard to go undercover with the liberal left when I think they probably have
00:30:06.580 our faces on their desks saying, don't talk to these people, don't answer a media request
00:30:12.940 from these people, beware these people.
00:30:15.280 So, our team, they could go undercover in Germany, but they couldn't.
00:30:22.800 I mean, it's very difficult to go undercover here, but we do know how to go undercover.
00:30:27.720 It's just hard for, you know, like this face to do it.
00:30:30.820 Sophia Ostriski, Sophia, I'm very sorry if I butchered that, writes, I don't think he
00:30:39.500 is physically in danger right now as long as the story is hyping, but the moment the
00:30:43.280 hype dies out, he very well could be.
00:30:45.100 I think we mean the man in the Project Veritas video who accidentally tried to impress his
00:30:52.180 date by telling him the truth about what they're doing at Pfizer with gain of function and creating
00:31:01.000 new variants to create vaccines for those variants.
00:31:05.220 Yeah, as long as everybody's sort of paying attention to that guy, I think he's fine.
00:31:11.120 But yeah, who knows?
00:31:14.760 You know, there's a lot of died suddenlies for a lot of different reasons.
00:31:17.920 And the last one is just general fan mail.
00:31:21.640 It's not necessarily on the Pfizer one.
00:31:23.560 It's a little bit long, but producer Olivia sent it to me to read.
00:31:27.040 It's from Arpain.
00:31:27.800 Guns and AI models share a similar characteristic in that they can be used for both good and
00:31:33.220 bad purposes, depending on the intentions of the user.
00:31:36.100 Just like any tool, the end result is determined by the user.
00:31:38.700 However, it's crucial to know that there are differences in the ways that society regulates
00:31:43.160 these tools.
00:31:44.140 Oh, interesting.
00:31:46.400 Guns have been around for centuries and have been a major tool in wars, self-defense, hunting
00:31:50.980 and recreation.
00:31:52.160 Despite the various uses, guns have also been responsible for a significant amount of crime
00:31:56.960 and violence.
00:31:57.840 To mitigate the negative impact, laws and regulations have been put in place to restrict
00:32:01.520 access and regulate their usage.
00:32:03.600 For example, background checks, age limits, licensing requirements are some of the measures
00:32:07.960 put in place to ensure the safe and responsible use of firearms.
00:32:11.500 I'm not even sure all of those are necessary, but anyway, it's not my letter.
00:32:15.680 On the other hand, AI models are relatively new.
00:32:18.820 Yeah.
00:32:20.380 And rapidly evolving technology.
00:32:22.720 It frightens me.
00:32:24.300 Unlike guns, there are no established regulations.
00:32:26.660 for AI models yet, and the responsibility for their development and usage lies mainly with
00:32:32.120 the creators and users.
00:32:33.920 And the creators are like they're big tech.
00:32:36.100 They're not good people, usually.
00:32:38.240 However, companies have policies and guidelines in place to prevent malicious use of their
00:32:42.720 technology and promote its responsible use.
00:32:45.120 In conclusion, while guns and AI share similarities in that they can be used for both good and bad
00:32:50.440 purposes, there are differences in the way society regulates them.
00:32:54.020 While guns have established laws and regulations, the regulation of AI models is still in its
00:33:00.040 early stages.
00:33:00.740 And it's up to society as a whole to ensure their responsible development and usage for
00:33:05.060 the benefit of humanity.
00:33:06.660 Guns do not kill.
00:33:07.600 AI does not kill.
00:33:08.860 Mankind kills.
00:33:09.700 Interesting points made there.
00:33:13.540 And I don't want to add too much to that very thoughtful letter.
00:33:17.740 However, I've seen people try to test these AI chatbots on Twitter, although not recently,
00:33:26.020 but, you know, a couple of years ago.
00:33:27.200 And they learned from the ethos, right?
00:33:31.660 And it seems as though no matter what, the chatbot always defaulted to anti-Semitism.
00:33:42.520 So do with that what you will.
00:33:44.900 Frightening.
00:33:45.460 Frightening stuff, anyway.
00:33:47.340 That's the show for tonight, guys.
00:33:49.060 Thank you so much for tuning in.
00:33:50.480 Thanks to everybody behind the scenes who works together to put the show together to
00:33:55.200 make things work so that you have something to watch when you click on the show at whatever
00:34:00.220 time you click on it.
00:34:01.860 Thanks to everybody who wrote in, wrote a letter.
00:34:03.640 And thanks to all of you, and I cannot say this enough, who donates to make sure that our
00:34:09.420 journalists are safe out in the field.
00:34:10.980 And as someone who looks out for the journalists and sort of mentors them, but as a journalist
00:34:18.960 myself, I cannot express my deep gratitude for you caring about our journalists as much
00:34:24.760 as we do.
00:34:25.800 And, you know, they're doing important work.
00:34:30.040 As I say, the mainstream media refuses to, for a bunch of different reasons.
00:34:34.580 Sometimes it's because they agree with Antifa and their goals, but also they're just too
00:34:41.340 scared and perhaps their employers don't care about them the way we care about our journalists
00:34:46.180 here at Rebel News.
00:34:46.820 So thank you for your donations at journalistdefensefund.com.
00:34:51.480 It's only possible our work through you.
00:34:54.880 Thank you.
00:34:55.720 And as Ezra always says, keep fighting for freedom.
00:35:04.580 Thank you.
