00:00:00.000 Hello, my Rebels. Justin Trudeau sneaked two orders in council through yesterday.
00:00:06.420 No big fancy press release, just some notes on an order in council website. He has
00:00:11.240 increased the loopholes for sick people to come to Canada, even if they have a fever and a cough.
00:00:18.940 They just have to say the magic words, I'm a refugee. I'll prove it to you.
00:00:26.260 I'll prove it to you by telling it to you, but also by showing you the primary evidence.
00:00:29.880 For that, I recommend you get a premium subscription to Rebel News. Plus, just go to rebelnews.com.
00:00:34.940 It's eight bucks a month, and you will see the documents I show you proving this to be the case.
00:00:40.240 All right, here's today's show.
00:00:55.680 Tonight, shocking news unreported by the mainstream media. Justin Trudeau has made huge exemptions
00:01:03.480 for foreigners with fevers and coughs, but only if they apply as refugees. It's March 27th,
00:01:10.300 and this is the Ezra Levant Show.
00:01:11.760 Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:17.620 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:01:21.680 The only thing I have to say to the government about why I publish it is because it's my bloody
00:01:26.560 right to do so.
00:01:32.840 Donald Trump restricted flights from China way back in January. Trudeau didn't until just this week.
00:01:39.880 In fact, he still hasn't really. Just scrolling through the list of arrivals at Vancouver's
00:01:45.080 airport shows five flights directly from China today alone. From Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai,
00:01:51.720 Hong Kong, everyone's coming. Massive long-haul commercial jets packed with people coming from
00:01:57.160 China. No one takes their temperature. No one quarantines them. In fact, once they get off
00:02:01.680 those long-haul flights from China, many of them immediately connect onto shorter domestic flights
00:02:07.100 in Canada, flown by WestJet or Air Canada, where they sit next to unsuspecting Canadians traveling
00:02:12.800 on to Calgary or Winnipeg or wherever they're going. So we still aren't taking things seriously.
00:02:20.140 Roxham Road was another problem. For four years, it's been a problem. The worst of the worst in
00:02:25.040 America. Simply walk over the border. I say they're the worst of the worst because they're already in
00:02:29.980 America. So they're not refugees, obviously. So who would leave America for Canada and not cross
00:02:36.540 legally? The very first act on Canadian soil is to break the law. I remind you, there's a big sign
00:02:42.460 that says illegal entry. And they walk right past it on purpose. And they say they're refugees and we
00:02:47.760 know they're not. You can't be a refugee from New York. So they're breaking the law and they're lying.
00:02:52.720 And quite possibly they're running to Canada to escape deportation from America for something
00:02:57.780 already, either having had their bogus refugee claim rejected there or maybe for committing a
00:03:03.720 crime. So these really are the worst of the worst. And 50,000 of them come in. Seriously, pedophiles
00:03:09.840 have been caught coming across the border with child pornography. Criminals convicted of serious
00:03:15.060 crimes. Just walk right in. This has irritated Canadians who follow the law, abide the law, no end,
00:03:22.540 including law-abiding legal immigrants to Canada, by the way. And it's one of the reasons why
00:03:27.080 Francois Legault is now the premier of Quebec. He had the courage to speak out against this sort of
00:03:31.160 mass immigration. So that was obviously a flashpoint too. Canadians were being told where and when they
00:03:36.580 could travel, shut in their homes, but foreign criminals just walk right in without any health
00:03:41.720 checks. So we kept sending Kian Bexty and David Menzies down there to Roxham Road to do real reporting
00:03:48.820 that no other mainstream media journalists were doing. And I truly believe that Kian and David were a
00:03:55.200 reason why Trudeau felt the pressure to finally shut down that crime scene called Roxham Road. And
00:04:00.460 he did. Or rather, he said he did.
00:04:05.340 Today, Canada and the United States are announcing a reciprocal arrangement where we will now be
00:04:11.320 returning irregular migrants who attempt to cross anywhere at the Canada-U.S. border.
00:04:17.560 So that was the big announcement that got all the media attention. Wow, Trudeau must be serious
00:04:22.260 about the virus. He gave up his beloved Roxham Road illegal crossing. I guess he really is putting
00:04:27.760 our country first. That's odd. Except look at this. Look at this. Look at this. This was just sneaked
00:04:33.460 through last night. Not in a press conference, but through a cabinet order posted on the internet.
00:04:39.660 It's called an order in council. Two massive new exemptions to the quarantine laws. You and I have to
00:04:45.480 shelter in place, really. Form a house arrest. No going to restaurants. No going to the mall.
00:04:50.420 No theaters. No schools. No playdates for the kids. No non-elective surgeries at hospitals.
00:04:55.200 No non-emergency court hearings. We're all being treated like high school kids with a curfew,
00:05:00.380 but in the daytime, too. But illegal immigrants with a fever and a cough are literally and specifically
00:05:07.560 and legally exempted from the ban. I know you don't believe me. I could scarcely believe it myself.
00:05:13.640 So let me prove it to you by showing you. This is straight from the federal government's website
00:05:19.760 for orders in council. In the United States, these would be called executive orders from the White
00:05:24.820 House. Here they're called orders in council. They're just that, orders. Not laws passed after
00:05:29.240 a debate by parliament, but an immediate fiat. It's how Trudeau wants to run the country for
00:05:33.480 everything. Just order it to be so, and it's so. No debate. No consulting with the public. No votes.
00:05:39.000 No input of any sort from the opposition. Just write it, and it's the way. He proposed to give
00:05:44.640 himself this power for everything until the end of 2021, but even his media bailout journalists were
00:05:50.700 shocked by that. So here's order in council number 185 issued yesterday. Let me read it to you,
00:06:00.000 or at least some of it to you. Let me start with the part that keeps out people with the virus.
00:06:04.060 Let me read it. Whereas the governor and council is of the opinion that based on the declaration of
00:06:10.320 a pandemic by the World Health Organization, there is an outbreak of a communicable disease,
00:06:15.200 namely coronavirus disease 2019, in the majority of foreign countries, the introduction or spread of
00:06:20.720 the disease would pose an imminent and severe risk to public health in Canada. The entry of persons into
00:06:25.740 Canada who have recently been in a foreign country may introduce or contribute to the spread of the
00:06:30.120 disease in Canada, and no reasonable alternatives to prevent the introduction or spread of the
00:06:35.060 disease are available. Therefore, Her Excellency, the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation
00:06:40.540 of the Minister of Health, pursuant to Section 1558 of the Quarantine Act, makes the annexed Minimizing
00:06:46.200 the Risk of Exposure to COVID-19 in Canada order, prohibiting prohibition of entry into Canada from the
00:06:52.920 United States. Okay, that's a mouthful, but I think it's pretty clear. That's the why we're doing it.
00:06:59.220 And here's the what we're doing. Let me read some more. Prohibition, signs and symptoms.
00:07:06.040 Section 2.1, a foreign national is prohibited from entering Canada from the United States if
00:07:12.680 they exhibit the following signs and symptoms, a fever and cough or a fever and breathing difficulties.
00:07:20.540 Okay, great. Pretty simple, right? So section 2, subsection 1 says, you can't come into Canada
00:07:26.780 from the United States if you have those symptoms. I think that makes sense. But then look at this.
00:07:31.700 Look at the exemptions from that ban. Non-application, certain persons. Subsection 1, which I just read
00:07:40.160 to you, does not apply to persons referred to in subsection 5.2 who seek to enter Canada from the
00:07:48.180 United States for the purpose of making a claim for refugee protection. Huh? Didn't they just
00:07:57.340 announce with great fanfare that they were shutting down Roxham Road? That in fact, they didn't have the
00:08:03.520 ability to treat and quarantine all the virus cases in the world who would just simply show up at
00:08:08.980 Roxham Road and ask for free health care and jump to the front of the queue and be shipped by special
00:08:13.580 ambulance probably to hospitals in Montreal or Toronto. I mean, isn't it obvious? I mean, it was
00:08:19.660 bizarre and foolish and self-harming that Trudeau shipped 16 tons of virus masks and other protective
00:08:25.280 gear to China just last month, giving them our whole national stockpile for free. That was insane
00:08:30.820 and dangerous. But I guess you could say Trudeau was still sleeping in February. But now, now that we're
00:08:37.440 all in lockdown mode, now that even Peter Pan himself has realized that things are in trouble and he
00:08:42.760 himself is self-isolating. Though bizarrely, he won't take the virus test, which tells me he just
00:08:47.600 wants the sympathy and he just wants to hang out at home and not really going to work. I mean,
00:08:51.780 why won't he take the test? Why did his wife Sophie take the test but not him? Boris Johnson of the UK
00:08:57.800 took the test. Donald Trump took the test. Trudeau's faking it. But imagine him now saying foreigners
00:09:03.780 can't come into Canada with the fever and the cough unless they specifically say they're claiming
00:09:10.060 refugee status. And in that case, come on in, guys, and go to the front of our health care line,
00:09:14.900 guys. But you and me, Canadian citizens, we stay in our homes. We don't go to the hospital
00:09:19.140 until we're at the edge of death because they won't let us in otherwise. And by the way,
00:09:23.680 lose your jobs while you're at it. This is repeated again. Look at this. I'm reading from the order.
00:09:30.480 Prohibition, being outside Canada or the United States. A foreign national who seeks to enter Canada
00:09:35.480 from the United States for a purpose other than an optional or discretionary purpose is nonetheless
00:09:40.360 prohibited from entering Canada if they have been outside Canada in the United States during the period
00:09:45.560 of 14 days before the day on which they seek to enter Canada. Okay, that's just a legalese way of
00:09:51.820 saying if you've been to China or Italy or Iran or anywhere else, you can't come in without waiting
00:09:57.900 14 days first. 14-day quarantine outside of Canada. Unless you say you're a refugee. Look at this.
00:10:06.400 Non-application. Subsection 1 does not apply to a person referred to in Subsection 5-2 who seeks to
00:10:13.560 enter Canada from the United States for the purpose of making a claim for refugee protection.
00:10:19.560 Then you're given the red carpet. In fact, unless you say you're a refugee, you can't come in. You want
00:10:24.440 to come in? Just say those magic words and hop on over and you don't have to have the 14-day quarantine.
00:10:30.340 Go to the front of the line, get free health care. Who wouldn't? Would you rather have health care in
00:10:35.820 Mexico or China or Iran or Italy or in Toronto, Canada? Just say, I'm a refugee. Even if you're
00:10:44.820 coming across Roxham Road from New York State. In fact, who wouldn't want to come from New York
00:10:50.680 State itself? The biggest U.S. virus hotspot. And then again, look at this. Prohibition. Claim for
00:10:55.680 refugee protection. A foreign national is prohibited from entering Canada from the United States for the
00:11:00.380 purpose of making a claim for refugee protection. Okay, that sounds pretty clear, right? But then
00:11:04.600 immediately after it, there's this. Subsection 1 does not apply to a citizen of the United States,
00:11:11.140 a stateless habitual resident of the United States, a mother, father, or legal guardian within the
00:11:15.340 immigration and refugee protection regulations of a person who has not attained the age of 18 years,
00:11:22.020 is a citizen of the United States, and 3, who seeks to enter Canada for the purpose of making a claim to
00:11:29.200 refugee protection. So they're letting people make, well, they're pretty unclear. They say they're banning
00:11:35.620 people, then they immediately say who's not banned. And in every case, it's if you make a refugee
00:11:39.980 application, you're not banned. They're banning people except for when they're not banning people.
00:11:45.400 They're not banning people. Oh, and they passed another order in council yesterday too. Look at
00:11:50.540 this one. This is order 184. It specifically gives three cabinet ministers the power to simply let anyone
00:11:57.300 in that they want to. Non-application. Section 2 does not apply to K, a person whose presence in
00:12:05.440 Canada, in the opinion of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration,
00:12:10.600 or the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, is in the national interest. So
00:12:15.300 these three cabinet ministers can just let in anyone they want to if they say it's in the national
00:12:20.180 interest, even if they're carrying the virus. Of course, they're just simply going to follow the
00:12:24.560 Liberal Party's interest, even if they let in someone who's sick. Now, because there has been no
00:12:29.520 debate about this, no committee hearings, no journalism from the Media Party about it, and nothing from the
00:12:35.280 moribund Conservative Party of Canada that I've seen. Correct me if I'm wrong on that. I hope I
00:12:39.960 am wrong. I don't think I am. I thought, well, maybe I've misunderstood this legalese, but I don't
00:12:47.060 think so. Here's how the government clerks themselves summarize these two orders. Order 184, that was
00:12:56.160 the one about the three cabinet ministers who can let anyone in. Here's how the government itself
00:13:04.100 summarizes this order. It's an order to, quote, broaden the list of foreign nationals who are
00:13:11.200 permitted entry to Canada by any mode of travel. So I don't think I got it wrong. And here's order
00:13:16.440 185. It's summarized by the government as an order to broaden the scope of persons who are not prohibited
00:13:23.060 from entering Canada. So yeah, it's just how it looks. Trudeau said he banned foreigners from coming to
00:13:29.920 Canada if they're sick. Yes, he did say that. And then a day later, he unbanned them if they just
00:13:39.240 claim to be refugees. Or if one of his three ministers just picks and chooses and lets them in
00:13:44.140 because it's somehow in our national interest to let in foreigners with the virus. You saw the law. It
00:13:49.300 said if you have a fever and a cough or fever and breathing issues, just say you're a refugee and you get
00:13:56.000 right in. Hey, quick question. Did you see this news on the CDC? I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
00:14:07.380 Stay with us for more.
00:14:19.820 All right, Mullen Global News. Agriculture groups and others are urging your government to drop the
00:14:24.920 plan to increase the carbon tax as of April 1st. Is that something you're considering?
00:14:28.880 We know that it is important that we put more money in the pockets of Canadians at this point
00:14:36.140 when they're stressed. Our plan on pricing pollution puts more money up front into people's pockets
00:14:43.840 than they would pay with the new price on pollution. We're going to continue to focus on putting more
00:14:49.680 money in people's pockets to support them right across the country. We know that this is an important
00:14:55.420 measure for the future and we're going to continue to ensure that we are thinking about the future
00:15:04.200 while at the same time we ensure that people can afford to make it through this crisis in the best
00:15:11.880 possible way. So yes or no? On carbon tax. We'll go up next week. We continue to make sure that people have
00:15:20.960 more money in their pockets because that is how we designed the price on pollution.
00:15:26.820 He can't answer a simple question. Right now, the government is scheduled to hike the carbon tax by 50%
00:15:34.680 on April Fool's Day. What's the point of that? The economy is on its back. Those Canadians who are
00:15:44.620 still working are probably in the distribution industries, keeping houses warm in those parts
00:15:50.500 of the country where it's still cold. You need natural gas for everything. Oil, gas, jet fuel, as if
00:15:56.940 airlines aren't on their back already. Raising the carbon tax on airlines right now.
00:16:02.540 Raising the carbon tax on anyone right now. This is to raise a tax when you're giving away tens of
00:16:11.560 billions of dollars in stimulus and relief. The only way it makes sense is if you literally think
00:16:19.020 that global warming is a graver threat than the twin threats of the virus and the great recession
00:16:27.780 that's upon us. Joining us now via Skype from Edmonton to talk about this is our friend Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:16:32.640 Hi, Sheila. Nice to see you again.
00:16:35.100 Hey, Ezra. Thanks for having me on the show.
00:16:38.380 He just can't answer a straight question. Will you scrap, cancel, delay, postpone, abandon, rethink?
00:16:45.460 Would you even consider rethinking raising the carbon tax? He won't answer it.
00:16:49.760 Yeah, that sounds like there's two reporters. They're trying to get themselves banned from press
00:16:54.520 conferences for asking questions people actually want answers to. Yeah, the carbon tax is scheduled
00:17:00.200 to go up by 50%. So right now it's sitting at $20 a ton. It's supposed to go up to $30 a ton
00:17:06.920 on April Fool's Day. So under a week from now. A million people. Those are a million breadwinners
00:17:15.720 that have lost jobs, have applied for EI relief in the last week or so. And yet Justin Trudeau's
00:17:23.620 big plan to fix all of this in the midst of the worst recession, the worst depression, I would say,
00:17:29.960 since the 1930s is to actually make the price of bread more expensive. It is really appalling.
00:17:36.080 When you think that in Alberta right now, according to the CFIB, so the Canadian Federation of Independent
00:17:43.040 Business, they polled some businesses and they say that half of businesses, one half of businesses
00:17:50.800 are either going to close or partially close already or will do in the very near future. And yet Justin
00:17:58.880 Trudeau is raising the tax on literally everything from food to transportation to home heating,
00:18:07.120 electricity. I mean, everybody's holed up in their houses. You're using a lot of electricity.
00:18:11.760 Justin Trudeau is finding a way to make life more expensive for everybody.
00:18:16.800 Yeah. I just, I mean, when you're spending, I don't know what the latest number is, 50,
00:18:21.200 80, a hundred billion dollars to put money in people's pockets. If you're so desperate,
00:18:26.480 if the country is in such a calamity, but you, for ideological reasons and stubbornness,
00:18:32.880 because you don't want to show anyone that you'll ever admit you were wrong,
00:18:37.840 it doesn't even make sense financially. It doesn't make sense in any way to spend 80 billion and then
00:18:46.720 jack up a tax by a billion. Why are you even doing it then? It's that he can't blink because he can't
00:18:54.400 ever admit he's wrong. I don't even think he understands what he's talking about. When he said
00:19:00.400 to that reporter, we're putting more money in people's pockets. How? By making everything more
00:19:07.360 expensive. That's actually taking money out of people's pockets. I guess when you never had
00:19:12.160 to be responsible with money before. Sure. Every price on pollution sounds fancy, but that's not
00:19:18.160 actually how taxes in this country work. And moreover to your point about how this is completely
00:19:24.800 ideologically driven, let's concede that fact. Isn't this exactly what the liberals wanted? Nobody's
00:19:30.480 working. Nobody's traveling. Everybody's holed up at home. This is exactly what they
00:19:37.200 said. They wanted for Canada, a complete decarbonization of the economy. Okay, great.
00:19:43.760 We've achieved what they wanted. So pump the brakes on the carbon tax because there's really nothing to
00:19:50.240 tax right now, according to them. But yet still they proceed because being green is more important
00:19:57.360 than fighting this virus. Yeah. You know, as I said the other day,
00:20:01.440 Greta Thunberg is out of the news because that was just, that was a luxurious show and tell. That
00:20:08.000 was a luxurious entertainment. No one actually meant it. We're all so rich we could pretend. We felt like
00:20:15.760 it was a luxurious problem to have because it didn't actually mean anything. Well, this is a real
00:20:22.720 problem. I think this virus is a real problem. Certainly people are acting like it's a real
00:20:27.360 problem, shutting down the whole economy. Two things are happening. First of all, we're realizing
00:20:32.320 that shutting down economies, phasing out economies is not fun, easy, or happy, despite leftist activists
00:20:40.560 saying, oh, we'll just phase it out. We'll have a transition. So it's a disastrous, painful time.
00:20:46.640 But second of all, it's a reminder that no one actually believes the global warming claptrap,
00:20:52.800 because if they did, they would be doing the things that we're doing now, quarantining,
00:20:56.800 shutting things down, no flights, no buses, no nothing. That's how you react to a true crisis,
00:21:03.040 or maybe it's not even a real crisis, but that's how you, that's a crisis response. No one in the
00:21:08.640 world actually lived like the Greta Thunberg, Justin Trudeau, Catherine McKenna crisis was real. No one,
00:21:16.320 one stopped flying because of global warming. No one stopped industries because of global warming,
00:21:22.800 because no one actually ever believed it. Trudeau wants to say, no, no, no, I believe it
00:21:29.280 by jacking up his tax. That's what's going on here. Well, yeah, everything we're doing right now
00:21:34.400 is exactly what they wanted us to do to fight global warming. They said it was a climate emergency.
00:21:40.400 That's what they told us. That's what they declared in the House of Commons. It's a climate
00:21:43.920 emergency. And so it is, you know, in the interest of human health to shut down the economy. They said
00:21:51.120 that was the case with climate change. Now we're actually doing it because of a deadly virus that's
00:21:57.360 spreading around the world. It's funny that, you know, it took real, like, this is a real emergency,
00:22:05.280 or so people are saying. It's a real, actual emergency. Hospitals are overwhelmed. People are
00:22:11.280 dying. Now the economy is shutting down. But this is what they always wanted for us. This is what they
00:22:17.120 wanted for Alberta. They wanted to phase us out and transition, like you say, into something completely
00:22:22.640 new. Except there's not something new for us. There's a few jobs like mine where I can telecommute,
00:22:29.280 but for the vast majority of people, at least a million people last week, there's nothing to
00:22:34.080 transition to. And that's just how it is. And we're in a real crisis. We need jobs. We need tax
00:22:41.600 relief. And our prime minister's solution to it is a price on pollution. So he said.
00:22:45.600 And he smirked while he answered those questions.
00:22:47.520 Yeah.
00:22:48.000 Because he knew it wasn't a real answer. It was an insult. That's why he was smiling. He was saying
00:22:53.520 the old message track that he's been giving for years. And the smile in his eye was his way of saying,
00:22:58.560 you think you got me. You don't. I'm just going to brazen it out.
00:23:03.360 You know, Sheila, a few years ago, 2016, I think it was,
00:23:09.680 it looked like the Conservatives were going to embrace the carbon tax. Patrick Brown,
00:23:16.720 the Conservative leader in Ontario, certainly did. Even Preston Manning was proposing it,
00:23:23.360 something that continues to boggle my mind. Fake conservative think tanks proposed it. You even saw,
00:23:33.520 well, it was quite widespread. And I credit, in part, our grassroots campaign called StopTheCarbonTax.com.
00:23:43.600 We had thousands of lawn signs we distributed. We had anti-carbon tax rallies in Calgary and Edmonton
00:23:51.120 that had thousands of people. And we proved that the Conservative base didn't support the carbon tax,
00:23:59.040 even if red Tories like Preston Manning and Patrick Brown did. And I think we gave courage to Conservatives
00:24:07.600 like Brad Wall, Scott Moe, Jason Kenney, and later on, Doug Ford to fight back by showing,
00:24:15.280 by proving you could have 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 people coming to an anti-carbon tax rally. I credit
00:24:23.120 our StopTheCarbonTax.com campaign, including our lawn signs four years ago for helping to put the brakes
00:24:29.040 on the conservative carbon tax on the conservative carbon taxers and to help spur the legal challenge
00:24:35.520 to the carbon tax. And we're dusting off that campaign again. Why don't you tell us about it?
00:24:41.040 Because you launched it yesterday. Sure. Yeah. And, you know, as you were talking about the
00:24:49.120 the conservatives who embraced it, I mean, it was in their leadership that they had conservatives
00:24:55.520 who were embracing it, like Michael Chong, when he was running for the leadership
00:24:59.600 of the conservative party. I mean, it was a mainstream idea about 50-50 split that conservatives
00:25:08.000 supported some sort of carbon taxation. And our grassroots pushback actually emboldened
00:25:13.920 conservatives to specifically campaign on axing the tax like Doug Ford did. And building on Kian's
00:25:22.000 success with his CloseTheBorder.ca where he got Trudeau to at least publicly announce, although we have
00:25:29.440 some information now that maybe that's not quite exactly what's happening at Roxham Road. But I think
00:25:35.680 it was our grassroots pressure campaign that got some international pickup that forced Trudeau to publicly
00:25:45.840 say that he would be cracking down on illegal migration at Roxham Road.
00:25:50.720 So I'm trying to build on that. I'm reigniting the Stop the Carbon Tax campaign. And maybe we can get
00:25:58.960 Trudeau to once again react to some of the pressure from regular Canadians. And I think this is going to
00:26:05.280 be something that people will support across the board, because I don't think it is a partisan thing
00:26:10.720 to be against raising taxes in the middle of a depression. I think that people just need to keep
00:26:17.360 more of their own money. And the things that they need to survive right now shouldn't cost more come
00:26:22.480 April 1st. So we have a Stop the Carbon Tax campaign. You can go to StopTheCarbonTax.com or .ca
00:26:29.360 and sign my petition. I'm not quite sure what it was at, but I think it was somewhere around 10,000
00:26:35.600 signatures this morning. I'd love to see that double.
00:26:37.920 Yeah. I mean, just in the last two hours, it's gone up to 1,192. Sorry, 11,902, excuse me.
00:26:47.840 And I think that by tonight, it's quite possible to hit 15,000. I'd like to get, you know, our goal
00:26:54.080 there is 25,000. I think we can even go higher. When people see that tax come in, they will be
00:27:01.280 furious. They will be shocked. And most of all, they will be thinking, what? They'll be saying,
00:27:08.800 what on earth? What is going on? Why is this hobby? You know, there's two things that Justin Trudeau,
00:27:16.720 three things that he'll do anything for. There's only three things he cares about. The first,
00:27:21.520 obviously, is marijuana legalization. The second is open borders. He just won't close them. And the
00:27:29.920 third is his carbon tax. Those are the three essential things to know about Trudeau. He doesn't
00:27:34.640 really care about anything else. And we have to stare him down and make him blink on jacking up
00:27:40.400 the carbon tax. We have to. I mean, Canadians cannot afford this right now. And I think Justin Trudeau is
00:27:46.720 hoping that his hike in the carbon tax is going to be lost in the coronavirus bailout news, in the
00:27:54.960 coronavirus death count news, in the coronavirus infection news. The coronavirus is actually
00:28:00.400 providing great cover for just how horrible Justin Trudeau and how cruel, how cruelly he's
00:28:06.320 treating Canadian families right now. Yeah. Well, I'd like to encourage everyone to go to
00:28:10.560 stopthecarbontax.com. This is what you'll see there right now, 11,902 signatures. And let's see if we can
00:28:19.040 get that up to 15,000 by tonight. I bet we can. And maybe we should dust off those old lawn signs
00:28:26.000 again. Those were a big hit. I think it's something we should do. I don't know how we distribute them
00:28:31.680 in the age of the virus, but we'll figure it away. Sheila, it's great to see you. Keep up the fight.
00:28:35.840 Keep up the fight. I will. Thank you. All right. There's our friend Sheila Gunn-Reed,
00:28:40.880 our chief reporter from Northern Alberta. Stay with us more Ahead on the Rebel.
00:28:49.040 Hey, welcome back on my monologue yesterday about essential businesses that will stay open during the
00:28:58.640 Chinese virus pandemic. Steve writes, here at work cleaning, nice to know the job I do is important
00:29:06.720 to all keep safe. Yeah. Isn't it funny who really counts when things hit the fan? People who know how
00:29:13.360 to do basic stuff, the stuff of life, not the gender studies professors. Raj Preet writes,
00:29:19.840 sanitation staff are vital. They probably save more lives than doctors, truthfully.
00:29:23.840 Well, it's interesting you say that because the number one advice from doctors is
00:29:27.040 wash your hands. And I think they mean it. That and put on a mask, that's the number one piece of advice.
00:29:35.360 And when I see the World Health Organization telling people not to wear masks, I think,
00:29:40.320 why are you spreading disinformation like that? On my interview with Ben Weingarten, Brian writes,
00:29:48.960 wow, how can we clone this guy for the conservative leadership? Well, first of all, he's an American.
00:29:54.800 But yeah, I agree with you. He's really strong. He's so strong on Ilhan Omar. Obviously, he wrote the
00:30:00.400 authoritative book on her. But he's very smart on this virus. I like him. That's the second time I've
00:30:06.240 interviewed him. And I hope he'll be a regular, maybe once a month. Well, that's our shows for
00:30:11.760 this week. Very busy week. I think we've done some important journalism, if I may say so. I think
00:30:18.160 Kian and David did great work down at Rocks from Road. I think they're partly responsible for Trudeau's
00:30:22.880 decision to close that loophole, although now it looks like he's reopened it. Thank you for your
00:30:28.320 support. If you helped us with our HelpRebelNews.com crowdfunding campaign, that's going well.
00:30:33.440 Thank you very much for that. Sheila Gunn-Reed started her new petition for StopTheCarbonTax.com.
00:30:38.880 Hope you sign that, too. That's it for today. We'll have more videos over the weekend,
00:30:43.360 and I'll be back on Monday. Until then, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters,
00:30:47.840 to you at home, stay healthy and keep fighting for freedom.
00:31:03.440 Bye!
00:31:06.880 Bye!
00:31:08.320 Bye!
00:31:08.880 Bye!
