00:01:38.100 These values are not universally shared by every government around the world.

00:01:43.540 Indeed, I don't know if in our lifetime we've seen democracy in a more precarious place.

00:01:52.260 Many state actors and non-state actors want to foster instability here and elsewhere

00:02:02.300 We have long known, and an independent report confirmed it again last week,

00:02:08.340 that the Chinese government and other regimes like Iran and Russia

00:02:13.260 have attempted to interfere not just in our democracy, but in our country in general,

00:02:24.500 or in the daily lives of our citizens.

00:02:27.680 Trudeau makes it sound like he is taking it seriously,

00:02:30.980 but our intelligence agency, that's CSIS, flagged these concerns to Trudeau a long time ago,

00:02:37.220 which seemed to fall mostly on deaf ears, that is, until now.

00:02:42.840 But of course, who was expecting this same prime minister that has admitted himself

00:02:47.900 he admires China's basic dictatorship to take this kind of interference seriously?

00:02:55.060 After all, it has been reported that 11 Toronto-area riding candidates

00:03:03.440 the most publicly scrutinized of which is Han Dong, in the riding of Don Valley North.
