Hello, my rebels. What a day today was. It's a visual day. On this podcast, you'll hear about
00:00:05.240
it, but I wish you could see the riot police on horseback, the mounted police, that Toronto Mayor
00:00:11.500
John Tory dispatches to shut down a restaurant for the crime of serving sandwiches. Probably 100
00:00:17.480
cops, probably 50 police cars, just outrageous, amazing footage. Our cameraman got the key shot.
00:00:23.840
No one else did. Amazing, amazing. You'll get a lot out of this show on the podcast,
00:00:28.220
but I want to encourage you to subscribe to the video version too. It's just eight bucks a month
00:00:32.460
for my show every weeknight. Plus Sheila Gunn-Reed and David Menzies have weekly shows also. Plus
00:00:38.460
your eight bucks a month helps keep us going because we're 100% independent. We don't take
00:00:41.900
any money from the government. And I think it shows. I think one of the reasons why the media
00:00:46.300
party is in favor of the lockdowns is because they take money from the government that's in
00:00:50.280
favor of the lockdowns. That's one of the reasons we're free. All right, here's today's show.
00:00:58.220
Tonight, the barbecue rebellion turns violent in Toronto. It's November 26 and this is the Ezra
00:01:15.840
LeVant Show. Why should others go to jail when you're a biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:22.400
There's 8,500 customers here and you won't give them an answer. The only thing I have to say to the
00:01:28.000
government, the wire publisher, is because it's my bloody right to do so.
00:01:32.340
Well, it's been such a busy day. I've been doing live streams practically all day, so I have not
00:01:43.260
properly scripted tonight's show. There just wasn't time, so forgive me. I'm going to be speaking from
00:01:49.200
notes in my hand, but I'm talking about the barbecue rebellion at Adamson's Barbecue Restaurant
00:01:56.580
in Etobicoke, a suburb of Toronto. It's an outstanding barbecue restaurant. I've been to
00:02:02.380
the outlet in Leeside, another Toronto neighborhood. Lineups for half an hour, they'd always sell out.
00:02:08.860
Outstanding food. The hipsters loved it. And the entrepreneur himself, his name is Adam Skelling,
00:02:16.000
and you've got to give the man credit. Making one restaurant work is hard, but three? Kudos to him,
00:02:21.280
a working class man who found a way to appeal to the snobby classes in Toronto. Well, they've turned
00:02:28.420
against him because this working class man wants to actually work. A lot of Toronto's been loving the
00:02:35.520
staycation of the lockdown. They've gotten paid no matter what. I think of the government classes,
00:02:42.100
the bureaucratic classes who have not worked at all or worked from home, haven't lost a minute's pay,
00:02:48.200
used the time to catch up on some Netflix series. They're actually loving the lockdown. Whereas the
00:02:54.920
working classes, well, they've been forced out of work. Remember this, it was not the virus that
00:03:01.640
flattened these companies and businesses and mom and pop shops. It's not the virus. It's the politicians
00:03:08.340
ordering these companies locked down. Well, Adam Skelly decided he had nothing to lose. He was going to go
00:03:15.540
bankrupt anyway, so he may as well go out in style. And he announced that he would open his restaurant
00:03:21.460
on Tuesday. And indeed he did. Police stood by, but didn't know quite what to do. And then Wednesday
00:03:27.020
again, police stood by, didn't know quite what to do. This morning, they tipped off the media party who
00:03:36.160
went at 6 a.m. to catch police changing the locks on the restaurant, locking the owner out. Well, that
00:03:45.020
didn't stop him. Adam Skelly went there, entered in another door, busted down the locked door, and in
00:03:53.200
went the hundreds of people getting their smoked meat and brisket. Well, that's when the police showed up
00:04:00.640
with the cavalry. I kid you not. The Toronto police responded with what looks like 100 policemen,
00:04:11.280
dozens of police vehicles, and the riot squad on horseback. Well, when Adam Skelly made a move,
00:04:19.560
so did the police. They grabbed him and frog marched him in handcuffs to the police car. Take a look at
00:04:26.760
this amazing footage caught by our videographer, Lincoln.
00:04:37.400
What is that? What is that? What is that? What is that? He's a hero. He's a hero. He's a hero.
00:04:43.400
You're heating it up. Where's he going? Shame on you. Shame on you. Shame on you. Shame on you.
00:04:51.400
Shame on you. Shame on you. Hey, hey, he's a hero. You're a hero. He's a hero. He's a hero.
00:04:55.860
What are you arained bear on him? What are you arolling block?
00:05:00.360
Get out of my heart, come out of my heart. Come out of your heart.
00:05:22.900
Small business, small business, small business, small business.
00:05:32.620
Small business, small business, small business, small business.
00:06:02.620
Small business, small business, small business, small business, small business.
00:06:11.020
Small business, small business, small business, small business, small business, small business.
00:06:32.100
I love how he was shouting small business, small business.
00:06:36.640
Because remember, it's only small businesses that are shut down.
00:06:41.900
Just a few hundred meters down the road from Adamson's Barbecue,
00:06:54.680
you can get a hot dog, french fries, soft drinks.
00:06:57.300
That's totally safe from the virus point of view.
00:07:03.300
At least that's what the mayor and the premier said.
00:07:06.120
The police response, though, I haven't seen anything like it in Toronto.
00:07:12.580
than there have been in some of the mass shootings
00:07:18.720
I seriously haven't seen this many police and heavily armed riot police.
00:07:26.820
many years ago, in the minds of the mayor and the premier
00:07:34.440
the people who have an interest in perpetuating the lockdown,
00:07:43.340
It's interesting to contrast how the police arrested,
00:07:51.480
compared to how they treated Black Lives Matter protests
00:07:55.600
that also violated the social distancing spaces.
00:07:59.380
Take a look at this photo of police literally taking a knee.
00:08:04.900
Antifa, as you know, was far worse, far more violent.
00:08:20.580
but there weren't a lot of Black or Aboriginal people.
00:08:27.020
As you know, we tried to go and report on that.
00:08:48.640
is because our journalists were threatened yesterday,
00:08:52.720
and I thought, I can't have our journalists being beat up.
00:08:55.520
So will you either allow me or hopefully walk with me
00:09:00.860
so I stand in front of my city hall as a journalist
00:09:05.220
and do a five-minute news report in front of my city hall,
00:09:11.460
and separated by a band of blue steel from the protesters?
00:09:16.520
So right now, I've got to talk to the city hall security again.
00:09:21.380
They advised me that they had trespassed you guys from the property.
00:09:31.120
I think you could fix this by letting us go out.
00:09:49.580
and I'm going to use my Section 2B charter right
00:09:56.180
If you're free to report the news, that's not the problem at all.
00:10:01.340
I say again, in John Tory's Toronto, and I shouldn't pick on Toronto
00:10:04.860
because it's the same in many cities across this country,
00:10:09.620
if you're a violent leftist, the police will bend the knee.
00:10:15.100
But if you're a conservative who just wants to peacefully protest
00:10:18.380
or have a smoked meat sandwich, they'll send in the riot squad.
00:10:22.860
You know, we could have used the riot squad very early this year
00:10:26.180
when there were blockades of railways across the country,
00:10:29.500
but no, that was too dangerous and not of public interest enough
00:10:36.920
What's particularly gross is the class divide here.
00:10:46.700
The haves and the have-nots, not by their own labors,
00:10:51.480
the people who love the lockdown, the bureaucracy, the government unions.
00:11:02.180
if his late brother, Rob Ford, were here to see this,
00:11:10.400
Walmart, a huge multinational company based in Arkansas.
00:11:14.360
They hired two of Doug Ford's staff, Melissa Lansman and David Tarrant,
00:11:20.340
to arrange a private meeting between the president of Walmart and Doug Ford
00:11:23.880
to convince him that when he locks down the mom-and-pop shops
00:11:28.480
to keep open, not just Walmart, but all the non-essential stuff in Walmart,
00:11:33.860
so not just the groceries, but the greeting cards and the toys
00:11:42.700
but mighty Walmart, which paid a hefty fee to lobby Doug Ford,
00:11:50.120
If you're not rich enough to hire Doug Ford's staff and lobby him,
00:12:03.380
The media, bizarrely, put themselves with the government.
00:12:07.200
The media is not a check on government anymore.
00:12:17.040
where you can see in real time the mayor colluding with the media
00:12:27.820
and we'll all wait and watch to see what plays out
00:12:29.820
at Adamson Barbecue today at 11 when that is supposed to open.
00:12:39.380
A lot of this is a political stunt, so, you know,
00:12:46.380
If the police had shut it down quickly yesterday,
00:12:48.020
we wouldn't have given them that much publicity.
00:12:51.060
I mean, the longer this is allowed to stay open,
00:12:54.580
I don't think it'll be open for long today, if at all.
00:12:56.400
It shouldn't be open at all if this man was any kind of a respectful citizen
00:13:01.540
respect the best interests of his fellow Torontonians.
00:13:04.040
All right, Mayor Tory, appreciate you joining us.
00:13:12.720
You know, there's so many fancy pants in Toronto,
00:13:15.940
And I have to tell you, I say, I've been to this guy's restaurant before.
00:13:24.140
But, my God, they've turned against that blue-collar man.
00:13:27.060
Now, here's Sherry DeNovo, who's a left-wing NDP politician activist.
00:13:40.760
But how dare this working man be in a working-class neighborhood
00:13:50.840
You know, it wasn't just Adam Skelly who was arrested and handcuffed
00:13:57.000
Perhaps in its own way, even more shocking was this.
00:14:01.140
Here's Randy Hillier, elected as a conservative member of the provincial parliament.
00:14:07.920
He's a thoughtful critic of Doug Ford's lockdown.
00:14:14.380
He is an elected MPP standing on the precincts of the provincial parliament.
00:14:47.680
Think of your kids, your families, and the lack of freedom that you're imposing on your kids.
00:15:07.900
You're ticketing an opposition politician for opposing.
00:15:23.480
One of the reasons we launched yesterday's Fight the Fines reboot is we want to give lawyers to literally 1,000 people that get tickets like that because we believe they're unconstitutional.
00:15:33.820
In fact, today I had a phone call with Randy on here.
00:15:36.280
I hope we can give him a hand, though I know he can take care of himself.
00:15:40.160
We've also launched a petition called FreeAdamskelly.com.
00:15:44.700
And last I checked, we had over 11,000 signatures.
00:15:51.360
I guess what I'm wondering is, where are the conservatives?
00:15:57.000
Where are people for limited government, for individual liberty?
00:16:00.240
If you want to stay home and wear a mask, wear five masks.
00:16:08.720
The conservative way is not to let those people, not to give a veto to those people for the rest of us.
00:16:14.840
When we all know that this disease is not an equal opportunity disease, it targets the elderly with underlying conditions.
00:16:31.620
There's one bright light on the horizon, and it's the conservative premier, Jason Kenney,
00:16:36.900
who addressed this very issue yesterday when he talked about the mistake of locking down small businesses but letting the Walmarts of the world go.
00:16:48.080
We need to acknowledge, as we go through COVID, when we have made mistakes.
00:16:52.540
This government made, I think, a grave mistake in the spring when we made, frankly, I think a stupidly arbitrary distinction
00:17:01.160
between essential and non-essential retail businesses that had the unintended consequence of allowing Walmarts and Costcos to sell darn near everything
00:17:10.320
because they have a grocery section or they sell pharmaceuticals while shutting down thousands and thousands of retail small and medium-sized businesses.
00:17:20.940
You know, I talked about the fifth-generation family in my remarks with this running a store in rural Alberta.
00:17:33.640
100% of their business went to the big U.S.-owned box store down the street or, of course, online for 10 weeks
00:17:42.980
because of that, frankly, stupid mistake that we made, for which I apologize.
00:17:50.940
We tried to undo that as quickly as we realized it and saw the impact, but we are not doing that now, unlike other provinces that have done that.
00:18:01.700
You don't hear a lot of talk like that, do you?
00:18:13.440
I hope that some conservative opposition parties oppose.
00:18:16.380
I mentioned earlier how that lobbyist in Toronto, Melissa Lantzman, arranged a meeting between Walmart and Doug Ford to give them a special rich man's exemption.
00:18:27.120
I'm against double standards where the rich buy themselves out of the lockdown.
00:18:31.160
I see 1,300 professional athletes bop their way through the quarantine.
00:18:34.980
I'm sorry, either we're all quarantined or none of us are.
00:18:39.080
This Melissa Lantzman, this lockdown lobbyist, is now running for the Conservative Party federally in the nomination opening up in Thornhill, Toronto.
00:18:49.220
It'll be interesting to me if the federal conservatives are the party of the lockdown like they are in the UK, like they are in the provincial government in Ontario.
00:18:59.000
I sure hope not because it's not a conservative idea.
00:19:01.920
And even if there was some conservative argument to protecting people, it's not to lock everyone down.
00:19:08.260
It's to protect those who are vulnerable, not to protect people from going to a restaurant voluntarily.
00:19:15.920
I'm worried that in this country we don't have an opposition.
00:19:24.060
A riot squad of horses dragging people away in handcuffs.
00:19:29.420
I promise you this, we'll fight like hell here at The Rebel.
00:19:34.600
I know I'm going to get some emails about that.
00:19:38.040
Next, David Menzies' special report on yesterday's events at that same barbecue.
00:20:01.580
Well, folks, it is day number two of the Great Barbecue Rebellion.
00:20:06.480
Yes, we are once again back at the so-called scene of the crime, Adamson Barbecue.
00:20:12.300
Just a few minutes ago, Adam Skelly, the owner, went in.
00:20:17.220
He said he's not doing interviews today, but we're welcome to come on his property.
00:20:22.800
Unlike the mainstream media, they are out in full force today.
00:20:31.900
So it's a kind of a reversal of fortune for us here at Rebel News.
00:20:37.520
And I can understand his outrage to the mainstream media, the way they have been framing this story.
00:20:52.000
They're not so much reporting the story, but acting as like snitches to the mayor and the premier and the authorities.
00:21:13.360
In any event, I am almost certain that the moment someone goes in there for some delicious brisket, the bylaw, the police, the health authorities, they are going to descend on this little restaurant like an army.
00:21:30.240
And we're going to be there to see what unfolds in the minutes and hours away.
00:21:34.140
I'm just wondering, Adam, are you fearful of what's going to happen in the minutes and hours ahead if you start to fire up those grills?
00:21:45.020
Why would I be fearful of what's going to happen?
00:21:46.640
This business probably won't make it through the wintertime anyway.
00:21:54.380
We'll accept the tickets and any court summons.
00:21:56.940
And we'll see if any of this is going to hold up.
00:21:59.000
Yeah, and I mean, we have to talk about the hypocrisy, as we've been saying all along since day one.
00:22:07.560
It is jammed to the gills of Christmas shoppers.
00:22:12.440
How come they can open and a guy like you can't?
00:22:14.980
Well, I'm not sure if their food service facility is open, but they are considered an essential business.
00:22:19.440
People go there to buy their groceries and stock up at home, and they consider that essential.
00:22:23.380
I, for one, consider my business to be essential.
00:22:25.620
And we're going to see today how many other people do as well.
00:22:28.580
And now, what about the cost to you in terms of all these potential fines that can go up to $100,000, even a year in jail?
00:22:38.280
I think you said off camera to me, you've already got pro bono legal representation.
00:22:46.900
I've had so many reach out to me and offer to take this case.
00:22:51.000
Most of them are very, all of them are confident that we will win this,
00:22:54.580
that the emergency orders are not justified, and that any of these charges won't hold up in court anyway.
00:23:00.800
So, I'll be the first one to stand up, be the test case, and we'll see how it goes.
00:23:04.100
I know you have a ton of prep to take care of, Adam.
00:23:09.800
What has been your take on the kind of coverage you've been receiving?
00:23:15.300
It seems to me, from what I've seen in the last 24 hours of the news cycle,
00:23:20.480
they're almost cheering on the authorities to put you out of business.
00:23:29.040
Well, this is the establishment media over there, so I've asked them to stay across the street,
00:23:32.780
so they're all over there with their telephoto lenses trying to get shots of me.
00:23:35.760
I thought it was really funny because yesterday I had the most incredible day.
00:23:38.960
We had so much love and support from our fans and people I've never met before.
00:23:42.660
I was energized all day, had an incredible day, and I think it was CTV managed to get one picture of me going,
00:23:47.860
with a bit of a sad look on my face or a little bit distressed,
00:23:51.680
and that's the one that they put up on the front.
00:23:53.160
So, you know what, they can keep trying to get those with their telephoto lenses,
00:23:56.980
and they can get one of me in a fighting stance or something like that,
00:23:59.400
and they can try to say that I'm trying to take down the police or something.
00:24:02.900
They can say across the street, thank you for being here,
00:24:04.780
thanks for actually getting our side of the story and not twisting our words.
00:24:08.020
Well, Adam, thank you for your hospitality, for allowing me to come on your private property.
00:24:15.460
I'm really fearful about how the city is going to react.
00:24:22.040
Here we have Adam as a true rebel, he's taking a stand,
00:24:26.580
and maybe when they see how he is going to be treated with hundreds of thousands of dollars of fines,
00:24:31.840
even potentially a year in jail if you can imagine,
00:24:34.820
maybe that's going to scare them off from doing what Adam's doing.
00:24:38.600
The government is betting on ignorance and intimidation,
00:24:43.300
Because when you come to the point where you have nothing to lose,
00:24:49.300
And that's why we're going to win, because we're going to do whatever it takes
00:24:51.740
to make sure that the tyranny of the government goes out of this country.
00:24:54.800
The mayor has said, said last night, that if Mr. Skelly opens again for business,
00:25:00.340
he hopes the authorities throw the book at him.
00:25:03.600
And yet, this is the same mayor that has been seen for, you know, photo ops,
00:25:09.880
not social distancing, not wearing a face mask.
00:25:13.600
Do you think we have sort of a one law for thee, one law for me in the city right now?
00:25:24.860
Well, folks, I'm with Vincent Gerses, and Mr. Gerses is an ex-OPP officer.
00:25:31.440
And Vincent, tell me, first of all, what brings you out here today,
00:25:35.440
and what's your take on what we're seeing going down here?
00:25:39.800
The reason I'm out here is this is a fundamental fracture about to happen
00:25:48.620
and the fracture of the human rights and the Canadian Charter of Rights.
00:25:59.380
I started with the OPP in 1982, the same year that the Canadian Charter came out.
00:26:06.680
And what was instilled upon me at the Ontario Police College in Elmer, Ontario,
00:26:13.960
was how important those fundamental rights were.
00:26:16.820
They're the core of our rights in Canada, and everything is based on that.
00:26:21.840
Here today, this restaurant chooses to stay open and defy these lockdowns.
00:26:27.440
These lockdowns are unconstitutional, clearly, and they go against our human rights.
00:26:34.320
This has nothing to do with church, but the owner is part of the human family,
00:26:42.240
I cannot stand thinking all the big stores are open, no problem,
00:26:46.800
and then killing these little people, it's just not right.
00:26:49.460
It's not right before God, and I felt obligated to come here today.
00:26:52.400
Well, sir, what brings you out to this eatery today?
00:26:55.420
What brings me out, the courage of that man for saying no to this lockdown,
00:27:03.840
tyranny to this fascist, and now I hope he's going to give a green light
00:27:11.220
Is he going to be a catalyst, or will other businesses look at all this law enforcement
00:27:18.220
here today, and they'll be scared off from opening?
00:27:22.280
No, if they're going to be scared off, then these are not the people that,
00:27:26.880
These are probably the people that are six feet apart from their parents wearing a mask,
00:27:39.860
Everyone, I just want to bring your attention to the fact that the restaurant
00:27:44.420
is operating against the public health work order, or order that was issued yesterday.
00:27:54.860
The restaurant was ordered closed by public health.
00:28:00.280
In addition to that, the ROA act has closed down in dining,
00:28:05.220
and everyone in here is in contravention of that also.
00:28:08.400
And keep in mind that this is quite a large gathering over the maximum number inside,
00:28:15.120
and obviously there is a possible consequence of being charged.
00:28:21.000
Hey, hey, hey, hey, please, please, please, please, quiet, please.
00:28:24.280
So I'm hoping to deliver the messaging that you are in contravention of these acts.
00:28:28.840
There is potential for charges, and again, I wanted you to be made aware of it.
00:28:43.000
And otherwise, there is a constant possibility of being charged.
00:29:04.720
I accept what you're saying, and I approve of your message to my customers today.
00:29:29.720
If you guys would like to grab some food, let's get back into a nice day.
00:29:37.720
Get back into a nice lineup again, and anybody can come in and order some food at the counter.
00:29:56.720
They gave me a couple of municipal charges, because we do have some issues with our business
00:29:59.720
I basically had to beg them to charge me with the provincial orders.
00:30:02.720
That's what my lawyers want to take to court and fight.
00:30:11.720
So, as far as I'm concerned, the police are not going to be breaking up these type of gatherings.
00:30:16.720
But I think we have a lot of power in numbers here.
00:30:18.720
And I really hope we can go and start supporting all the other restaurants that will follow in
00:30:24.720
And I think we had some boys here with a tattoo shop that I just talked to.
00:30:31.720
Are you guys all going to support the other businesses that choose to open in protest?
00:30:37.720
Anybody who opens, we need to get all this support over to them too to really show them
00:30:50.720
Then the next day we'll get four until there's so many f***ing businesses.
00:31:01.720
Was your landlord involved in any of the negotiations, Adam?
00:31:03.720
I have not spoken with my landlord yet regarding this.
00:31:10.720
So what did the cops tell you in terms of future reopenings, Adam?
00:31:15.720
They told me that more fines, they told me that more fines could be issued.
00:31:21.720
They told my staff that fines could also be issued against them.
00:31:24.720
So now some of my staff have also been, you know, maybe intimidated to not come back in again.
00:31:29.720
I might need a couple guys to work the counter if we keep going.
00:31:36.720
Well, I might need some other people to scoop some potato salad for me tomorrow.
00:31:40.720
But I will be back here as long as we can have some more support.
00:31:49.720
Adam, what kind of legal advice have you been getting?
00:32:07.720
They feel very confident about the emergency order.
00:32:09.720
That it has to be, the measures have to be enacted on people proportionately.
00:32:14.720
And small business is being affected disproportionately.
00:32:18.720
And just to be clear, how many tickets did you receive today?
00:32:37.720
These are all municipal charges based on things that I didn't have properly set up in my business.
00:32:55.720
This is the failure to comply for today and yesterday.
00:32:59.720
We have been charged under the Provincial Offences Act.
00:33:07.720
These are all court summonses and they're not until February and March.
00:33:10.720
So you were charged under the Reopen Ontario Act?
00:33:18.720
Do you think the courts will be open in February?
00:33:25.720
Adam, do you feel that the state is trying to make an example out of you
00:33:31.720
No, I think if they were trying to make an example out of us,
00:33:33.720
they would have given fines to everybody here today.
00:33:35.720
They would have tried to prevent us from opening.
00:33:39.720
And do you see anyone else opening in the days ahead after all the aggravation you've gone through?
00:33:44.720
I've spoken with like a dozen people today and yesterday and other people on social media
00:33:48.720
and someone just right now who promised me that they would be opening and I could share their message.
00:33:53.720
I'm welcoming all those messages from everybody else who's ready to do this.
00:33:58.720
We'll get all your businesses full of support on the day that you choose to open.
00:34:03.720
We'll do it in a really productive way and get everybody open with tons of business again.
00:34:08.720
Adam, the crowd's about three times the size of yesterday.
00:34:17.720
Thanks for showing up for small business today.
00:34:21.720
So every one of these fines is just like the fines they gave me.
00:34:28.720
Smoke and mirrors to try to keep the public compliant.
00:34:31.720
Just like yesterday, the fake news told everybody that he got shut down at 4 o'clock.
00:34:39.720
He took their little closure order, used it like toilet paper.
00:34:44.720
And this time, he sold out at 1 o'clock instead of 4 o'clock.
00:34:50.720
So that's how much power the state has to even close one little small business.
00:34:56.720
So what's going to happen when hundreds open, thousands open?
00:35:06.720
And they don't have any more resources to spread around anywhere else.
00:35:18.720
Why is it that this small mom-and-paw restaurant is being targeted,
00:35:21.720
and just 400 metres down the road, there is a Costco jammed to the gills?
00:35:49.720
And what is the evidence that the food service industry is some sort of a hot spot,
00:35:56.720
If you talk to Restaurants Canada, they say there's no evidence.
00:36:09.720
So I'm just here to make sure we get this order and get this guy shut down.
00:36:13.720
Do you want to see the authorities throw the book at him, sir?
00:36:17.720
So, you know, like I said, it takes me no great pleasure to find a business owner.
00:36:21.720
But when we give the order for Medical Officer Health to shut down permanently,
00:36:23.720
and he just defiantly disobeys it, then we have to throw the book at him, right?
00:36:28.720
A lot of people are watching what's happening here.
00:36:33.720
And we listen to what Medical Officer Health is telling us.
00:36:38.720
Well, folks, it's almost 2 o'clock, and day two of the Great Barbecue Rebellion
00:36:48.720
Well, we witness an even bigger outpouring of support by the common folk
00:36:55.720
In fact, he was completely sold out before noon, if you can believe it,
00:37:02.720
And when he shut those doors, law enforcement and by-law went in,
00:37:10.720
He's received two provincial offenses and about a half-dozen municipal offenses.
00:37:25.720
And I should note, you see a considerable presence of people.
00:37:30.720
I can tell you for a fact, folks, the number of people would be far greater.
00:37:35.720
It has just come to my attention that the police have blocked off the entrances to Adamson BBQ.
00:37:43.720
So there's no way for more people to come and show their support.
00:37:52.720
But the bottom line is, according to Adam, he is indeed opening his barbecue tomorrow at 11 a.m.
00:38:01.720
And he's welcoming everyone who enjoys delicious brisket with a side order of freedom to come on down.
00:38:27.720
In some ways, I found the footage of the arrest and the police overkill, as David said, using a bazooka to go after a mosquito.
00:38:39.720
And I think a lot of conservatives will feel the same way.
00:38:43.720
If we're sending 100 police to shut down a restaurant, something's broken.
00:38:47.720
But I also know that that's only how half the world thinks.
00:38:50.720
The other half was cheering the cops, cheering the jailing of this man, cheering the lockdown state.
00:38:56.720
I think we have a great divide in this country as much as in the United States.
00:39:00.720
I just wish our side had some sort of heroes and champions.
00:39:05.720
Until that day comes, I'm afraid you're stuck with us.
00:39:08.720
Until tomorrow, on behalf of all of us here at Rebel World Headquarters, to you at home, keep fighting for freedom.
