00:01:13.000 Hey folks, are you feeling safer now when it comes to the coronavirus?
00:01:32.360 I'll be talking about Justin Trudeau's newly announced measures.
00:01:37.100 It's March 16, 2020, and you're watching The Ezra Levent Show.
00:01:43.000 Why should others go to jail when you're the biggest carbon consumer I know?
00:01:48.040 There's 8,500 customers here, and you won't give them an answer.
00:01:52.120 The only thing I have to say to the government, the why I'm publishing, is because it's my bloody right to do so.
00:01:57.980 It's perversely amusing to see how so many pundits in the left-leaning media party are applauding the prime minister
00:02:10.040 and his assorted cabinet ministers, noting how they are saying all the right things when it comes to COVID-19 precautions.
00:02:18.840 Well, they are saying all the right things, but as the saying goes, deeds speak.
00:02:25.920 And when it comes to doing the right things, well, I'm kind of having a clarapeller moment right now.
00:02:33.240 Why is the beef?
00:02:34.880 Earlier today, Justin Trudeau said that come Wednesday, the borders will be closed to non-Canadian citizens,
00:02:40.640 with the exception of immediate family members, permanent residents, diplomats, air crews, and U.S. citizens.
00:02:48.420 Really? Do you believe that?
00:02:50.420 Do you think for one second that Roxham Road will now be closed to illegal migrants?
00:02:56.720 I highly doubt that.
00:02:58.760 Maybe it's time to visit that border crossing again.
00:03:01.760 And anyway, immediate family members, well, that could be non-Canadians too, can't it?
00:03:08.280 In fact, some cabinet ministers are actually lying about the supposed COVID-19 precautions.
00:03:15.780 I'm sorry, there's just no way to sugarcoat that, folks.
00:03:18.500 Take, for example, Bill Blair, who used to be Toronto's police chief.
00:03:22.200 Now, Mr. Blair knows a lot about safety, especially when it comes to keeping himself safe.
00:03:27.840 Did you know that Bill Blair doesn't actually live in his crime-ridden writing of Scarborough Southwest?
00:03:33.800 Oh, no.
00:03:34.860 Blair resides all the way across Hogtown and Forest Hill, one of the city's wealthiest and safest communities.
00:03:42.640 Anyway, here's Blair's tweet.
00:03:46.360 Since the disease first began to spread in Hubei,
00:03:49.740 Well, I'm sorry, but Blair is indeed lying about those added measures.
00:04:11.100 And yes, I have the beef to back up that statement.
00:04:14.540 Check out our January visit to Toronto's Pearson International Airport in January,
00:04:18.780 in which we asked travellers arriving from China if they were being subjected to any extra screening.
00:04:26.700 Hi, are you just arriving from China?
00:04:28.340 I'm just wondering, were you asked any special screening questions by security?
00:04:33.620 Uh-huh.
00:04:34.260 When you were coming through customs, did they ask you if you had any coughing symptoms, fever, anything like that?
00:04:41.840 Uh, not, no.
00:04:43.720 No, actually, just asking how long have you been in China, which city.
00:04:49.940 Oh, but through the machine, I asked about, are you coming to Wuhan before?
00:04:57.640 Yeah.
00:04:58.100 And that was it then?
00:04:59.140 Yeah, just, yeah.
00:05:01.240 Thank you, sir.
00:05:01.780 When you went through customs, was there any kind of special screening?
00:05:05.860 Did they ask you questions about fever or coughing?
00:05:10.340 No, actually, they don't.
00:05:11.800 They just ask where you come from and that's it.
00:05:14.640 Okay.
00:05:15.340 And even though you came from China, they didn't do any kind of additional screening whatsoever.
00:05:19.260 They just waved you through.
00:05:20.500 Yeah, I mean, they have a question on the machine, ask you, have you been to that city, have a fever?
00:05:25.280 Uh-huh.
00:05:25.600 And then, that's all.
00:05:28.100 That's all. Okay, then.
00:05:29.220 So, you didn't notice any kind of special screening out of the ordinary then?
00:05:33.920 No.
00:05:34.520 Okay, then.
00:05:35.240 And where in China have you arrived from, sir?
00:05:37.600 I arrived from Shanghai.
00:05:39.360 And then, more recently, we popped by Pearson to interview Iranians and Iranian Canadians flying into Toronto from the Middle East via London, England.
00:05:48.500 And, shockingly, no enhanced screening and no mandatory quarantines, even though these people were flying in from the number two hotspot in the world when it comes to the number of patients who have died and are sick with COVID-19.
00:06:05.340 But, hey, the feds, for whatever reason, they're prepared to roll the dice when it comes to public safety, it would seem.
00:06:11.900 Suddenly, it would appear they are, oh, I don't know, fiscal conservatives when it comes to investing in the equipment that would screen people flying in from the world's hot zones.
00:06:21.440 And, hey, if jet setters really, really promise, and I'm talking pinky square here, that they are going to self-quarantine for the recommended 14 days, well, who are we to question the honour system?
00:06:35.020 And, do you get the feeling that the priority when it comes to dealing with this virus is to avoid anything that might be considered as being, well, you know, racist?
00:06:48.020 After all, perceived nastiness might be worse than a deadly disease, according to the folks who are toiling away at the Ministry of Hurt Feelings.
00:06:56.960 You think I just, oh, contraire, folks.
00:06:59.500 Check out this line item announced by the feds last week for fighting the COVID-19 virus.
00:07:05.720 2.6 million in research funds will be spent on, quote,
00:07:10.580 how to combat discrimination, racism, and social media misinformation, end quote.
00:07:17.760 Gee, what's racist about a deadly virus?
00:07:21.620 Oh, maybe this has something to do with those barbarians who are still referring to the virus by its original name, Wuhan flu.
00:07:30.140 Well, Wuhan was the epicentre for this viral outbreak, but apparently saying so is now a big no-no.
00:07:38.140 Gee, am I a bigot for referring to the 1919 pandemic as Spanish flu?
00:07:43.360 I guess so.
00:07:44.580 You know, it brings to mind the efforts by the uber-liberal York Region District School Board
00:07:50.160 that to even refer to the geographic origin of this flu and to call for a quarantine of people is indeed racist in nature.
00:07:58.780 Back in January, this board actually sent out a very condescending letter to parents condemning them
00:08:05.080 for signing a petition asking the board to take proactive steps to curtail the virus.
00:08:11.640 Check it out.
00:08:12.180 Well, folks, with the coronavirus spreading like proverbial wildfire,
00:08:16.440 a petition went out recently in York Region signed by more than 10,000 parents of children going to York Region School Boards.
00:08:27.700 It notes that with the incubation period being 14 days for the coronavirus,
00:08:33.100 it might be prudent to have a quarantine period of 17 days for people returning from China
00:08:41.900 to Canada.
00:08:42.160 Well, naturally, the York Region District School Board responded with implications
00:08:49.940 that this was a racist petition.
00:08:54.060 A school board trustee and the director of education, Louise Cerisco,
00:08:59.800 wrote what has to be a very condescending letter to parents.
00:09:03.740 It states partly the following,
00:09:06.580 While the virus can be traced to a province in China,
00:09:09.920 we have to be cautious that this is not to be seen as a Chinese virus.
00:09:15.840 Those who are afflicted or are potential transmitters are not just people of Chinese origin.
00:09:22.580 End quote.
00:09:23.200 But that's the thing, folks.
00:09:24.700 The petition is very carefully worded.
00:09:27.860 It doesn't say to quarantine Chinese people or Asian people.
00:09:33.880 It just says people returning from China.
00:09:36.680 But, of course, the way the school board has interpreted this,
00:09:41.300 it is, I suppose, white on Asian racism by those parents who are concerned about the safety of their children.
00:09:48.520 Oh, by the way, if you look at many of the names on that petition,
00:09:53.840 they are ethnic Chinese names.
00:09:56.520 That's right.
00:09:57.240 Chinese parents concerned for their kids' safety were signing that petition.
00:10:02.220 So, gee, I guess in the eyes of the York Region District School Board,
00:10:06.000 those of Chinese descent can be racist against those who are Chinese.
00:10:11.840 Wow, what politically correct madness.
00:10:14.220 Bottom line, how perversely ironic that it is the institutions in the private sector
00:10:20.200 that are voluntarily being proactive in fighting the COVID-19 virus.
00:10:26.220 I speak of all the professional major league sports leagues,
00:10:29.400 from basketball and hockey to golf and auto racing,
00:10:32.740 that have suspended their seasons at the cost of billions of dollars in lost revenues.
00:10:39.200 I speak of the live theatres that are now dark,
00:10:41.820 and the major tourist attractions ranging from aquariums and museums to theme parks
00:10:46.900 that are now shuttered.
00:10:48.540 Again, all on a voluntary basis.
00:10:51.560 Again, at a cost of billions and billions of dollars in lost revenues.
00:10:57.460 But our federal government, oh no, to do the heavy lifting on this issue,
00:11:01.560 such as truly closing all the airports
00:11:04.840 and putting up fences at illegal border crossings
00:11:08.120 and implementing mandatory quarantines,
00:11:11.860 oh, sorry folks, that is simply off the table.
00:11:14.840 Hey, public safety is supposed to be our prime directive,
00:11:19.320 but if ensuring public safety comes across as, well, you know,
00:11:24.640 racist or culturally insensitive,
00:11:27.860 then I guess if you are a member of the Justin Trudeau Liberals,
00:11:32.040 then public safety is a tad overrated, isn't it?
00:11:38.120 Well, as I like to call it, welcome to the new abnormal, folks.
00:11:52.360 Everything seems to be closing down and being postponed and suspended.
00:11:57.500 And it's kind of interesting to see how various leaders are reacting to the coronavirus, isn't it?
00:12:04.100 We've just had Justin Trudeau's announcement earlier today.
00:12:08.360 And of course, there was Premier Kenney weighing in on Alberta yesterday.
00:12:13.860 And with more on this is our Alberta correspondent, Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:12:19.520 Welcome to the Ezreal Event Show, Sheila.
00:12:22.320 Hey, David. Thanks for having me on the show.
00:12:24.600 You got it.
00:12:25.260 Now, first of all, can you inform people who aren't living in Alberta, Sheila,
00:12:29.920 what exactly it was that Jason Kenney tackled in terms of his reaction to the COVID-19?
00:12:40.380 So in Alberta here, we have daily press conferences.
00:12:44.080 They're live streamed on YouTube, Facebook and to Twitter
00:12:47.240 so that the information is getting out to the public as fast as possible.
00:12:51.020 They're giving us a count every single day of what's happening.
00:12:54.240 And things are changing every single day.
00:12:56.820 For example, on Friday, they announced that schools would not be closed.
00:13:01.520 And as circumstances changed yesterday, so Sunday afternoon,
00:13:08.220 the government did announce that schools would be closed.
00:13:11.300 But also during that press conference, Jason Kenney said that he was frustrated,
00:13:17.740 and I'm paraphrasing here, with the action of the federal government
00:13:21.620 with regard to safety at the airport.
00:13:24.980 And so Jason Kenney released $500 million in emergency funding to our health care system.
00:13:34.680 But he's also deploying provincial resources to the border and Alberta points of entry.
00:13:40.760 During Jason Kenney's press conference, too, he did say that Alberta does have the ability
00:13:45.960 to shut down international flights that are landing here.
00:13:49.860 And he said that he wasn't willing to use that quite yet.
00:13:53.840 But that was a tool that he expressed that Albertans have at their disposal.
00:13:59.440 Unlike Bill Blair, the federal minister responsible for our border,
00:14:05.020 Jason Kenney went down to the airport, to the Edmonton International Airport,
00:14:10.060 to the international arrivals, to look for himself to see exactly what was happening
00:14:15.360 when people are getting off of international flights.
00:14:18.340 Now, Edmonton's not really an international hub, but it is, you know,
00:14:21.740 where if people are landing in Vancouver from China,
00:14:24.460 then this is how you just hop a domestic flight and you're here.
00:14:28.060 So he went down to see the screening, and he was absolutely not satisfied with what he saw.
00:14:32.840 And he said that he would be deploying provincial resources to the border.
00:14:38.120 Also, in stark contrast to what Justin Trudeau has done,
00:14:44.760 Justin Trudeau decided to cancel Parliament for five weeks.
00:14:50.260 He wouldn't close the border, but he would give himself a five-week holiday from work
00:14:55.120 because that's what was most important to him.
00:14:57.520 Whereas in Alberta, Jason Kenney is shutting down everything else,
00:15:01.380 but keeping the legislature open for business.
00:15:03.980 Now, not for tours and that kind of stuff.
00:15:05.680 But he said it's very important that politicians keep working and doing the business of government
00:15:11.340 because all that stuff still needs to happen.
00:15:16.380 We can't be shutting down government and still allowing a thousand international travelers
00:15:21.560 into the country every single day.
00:15:23.840 So it's really been a stark juxtaposition between what Jason Kenney's done
00:15:30.200 and what Justin Trudeau has done.
00:15:31.820 And I think some of the pressure from provinces like Quebec and Alberta
00:15:36.440 to take matters into their own hands sort of forced Justin Trudeau's hand today.
00:15:41.280 You know, that's very interesting.
00:15:42.600 There's so many angles on this issue, Sheila.
00:15:45.060 And one of them, you know, our friend at the Toronto Sun, Joe Worthington,
00:15:48.980 he had a bit of a scoop when he reported a few days ago that the casinos,
00:15:54.280 the government-run casinos here in Ontario,
00:15:56.180 were still open for business until yesterday afternoon.
00:15:59.820 I think it was that exposure that, you know, pushed the government's hand to say
00:16:04.440 that's it, they're closing down too.
00:16:06.580 But I noticed with a very brief internet search of Alberta casinos,
00:16:11.480 they're still operating.
00:16:12.800 In fact, one of the ones I looked at,
00:16:14.740 they weren't even addressing the coronavirus concerns,
00:16:18.760 unlike some of their competitors that said we're, you know,
00:16:21.720 enhancing hygiene efforts and what have you.
00:16:23.780 What is the jurisdictional issue there in terms of who holds the club
00:16:29.780 to shut down those particular casinos, Sheila?
00:16:34.540 Well, casinos are licensed by the provincial government.
00:16:38.200 However, I think, so, I mean, it'd be pretty easy for the provincial government
00:16:42.700 to just yank their license temporarily.
00:16:45.380 However, I think it might fall on the municipalities to make that sort of move.
00:16:49.160 The casinos within Edmonton versus the casinos that are outside Edmonton city limits
00:16:55.860 that are on First Nations reserves.
00:16:59.600 There's a whole bunch of jurisdictional issues when it comes to casinos,
00:17:03.020 but I thought it was kind of interesting to see that there are restrictions
00:17:06.800 being put on churches, you know,
00:17:12.060 with regard to how many people can be in attendance, you know,
00:17:16.020 churches that are over 250 people.
00:17:18.520 Some gatherings of over 50 people are being now.
00:17:22.980 The government sort of doesn't want those happening.
00:17:25.500 So I thought it was funny that the government specifically mentioned churches
00:17:29.120 and places of worship and sort of discouraging people
00:17:32.280 from going to all those places,
00:17:34.940 but the casinos were just fine and dandy.
00:17:37.180 It's a stark indictment of the state of our society these days.
00:17:44.200 Oh, 100%.
00:17:44.900 I mean, they call that, you know, gambling lotteries,
00:17:47.880 they call it an idiot tax, Sheila,
00:17:49.840 and I guess there's a reluctance on government to turn off the taps
00:17:53.500 on the number of idiots that are betting the milk money,
00:17:58.960 and that's kind of sad in and of itself.
00:18:01.100 But, you know, this is one of the points I'm leading up to, Sheila.
00:18:03.500 As we saw in the last week, for sure, major sports leagues
00:18:09.360 like the NBA and NHL, Formula One, PGA shutting down,
00:18:14.500 theatres, theme parks, you name it.
00:18:17.900 And these are all private sector operations.
00:18:22.240 These are all voluntary shutdowns.
00:18:26.260 And I just think there's a real measure of hypocrisy
00:18:29.480 when there's any government of any stripe which holds the hammer
00:18:35.080 to shut things down, and they carry on as business as usual.
00:18:39.760 Would you agree there's some shameful hypocrisy at play here?
00:18:45.520 Yeah, you know, it's funny.
00:18:46.720 You see the federal government shutting things down
00:18:48.820 that are of benefit to them,
00:18:49.980 like they're not sitting in the House of Commons,
00:18:51.720 which, frankly, that's of benefit to Canadians.
00:18:54.580 The less those guys are working, the better.
00:18:56.420 In Calgary, they declared a state of emergency last night
00:19:02.340 so that they could better handle things.
00:19:04.000 They are closing down the municipal recreation centres
00:19:10.760 and stuff like that.
00:19:11.900 But it is funny to see the reaction at the local level
00:19:15.540 and at the provincial level.
00:19:17.320 And then you see how the feds have completely dithered on this.
00:19:20.780 They have dropped the ball on the big issues.
00:19:24.200 We know, what was it, 70%, 80%, 90%?
00:19:28.060 Depends on where you get your numbers from.
00:19:32.900 The cases of COVID-19 are travel-related.
00:19:37.180 Either people who have brought it into the country
00:19:39.100 or who have had close contact with people
00:19:41.120 who have brought it into the country.
00:19:43.100 And yet, for weeks and weeks and weeks,
00:19:45.760 the government has done nothing to prevent COVID-19
00:19:49.160 from coming into the country.
00:19:50.680 And now, at least in Alberta, we've got community spread.
00:19:53.360 So we have cases now that are popping up
00:19:55.500 that they don't even know how they got it.
00:19:57.600 So they're just getting it from someone
00:19:59.360 who's loose in the community.
00:20:00.720 And that is a scary thing.
00:20:04.020 When now we can't even trace the cases back to the source,
00:20:08.520 which means there are so many more cases out there
00:20:11.420 that we don't know about.
00:20:13.320 And they could have been stopped weeks ago
00:20:16.520 when we saw what was unfolding in Wuhan,
00:20:18.660 when we saw what was beginning to happen in Italy,
00:20:21.840 and when we see what's sort of unfolding now in Spain,
00:20:25.400 Canada had enough time to do something
00:20:27.700 to make a real impact, and we just never did.
00:20:31.340 Sheila, I don't think you're supposed to refer to Wuhan by name.
00:20:36.140 That might be considered racist or culturally insensitive.
00:20:39.960 And let's not forget, as I mentioned in my monologue,
00:20:42.160 the federal government has donated $2.6 million
00:20:46.000 in its anti-COVID budget in terms of stemming any kind of racism
00:20:52.720 or insensitivity or misinformation when it comes to the virus.
00:20:57.560 But here's the thing I want to ask you, Sheila.
00:21:01.780 Justin Trudeau announced all kinds of measures
00:21:04.020 that are taking place on Wednesdays,
00:21:06.160 certainly lots of exemptions in terms of people
00:21:09.280 that can come into the country.
00:21:11.580 Do you, for one second, believe that come Wednesday morning,
00:21:15.100 there will be some kind of temporary fence erected
00:21:18.380 at Roxham Road, for example,
00:21:20.480 to stem those travellers coming in?
00:21:22.860 What do you think, Sheila?
00:21:25.300 Absolutely not.
00:21:28.540 Roxham Road should have been fenced up years ago.
00:21:32.960 Years ago.
00:21:33.820 Roxham Road itself has caused a crisis in our immigration system.
00:21:39.660 Now it could potentially cause a crisis in our healthcare system.
00:21:43.780 And, you know, for a couple million bucks,
00:21:47.180 the billions of dollars that have sort of been dumped
00:21:50.920 into our immigration system to deal with illegal migration
00:21:54.980 could have been mitigated.
00:21:57.300 But if collapsing the immigration system
00:22:00.500 wasn't a good enough reason
00:22:02.280 to put up a fence at Roxham Road,
00:22:04.300 the healthcare system isn't either.
00:22:06.540 You know, it's amazing, Sheila.
00:22:08.000 We're going to have to wrap it here.
00:22:09.400 I agree with you.
00:22:10.440 There should have been fencing.
00:22:11.540 There should have been a wall
00:22:12.400 at these irregular boarding crossings years ago.
00:22:17.540 But you'd think,
00:22:18.560 even if you believed in open borders,
00:22:21.160 you would at least,
00:22:22.320 given the exceptional circumstances of COVID-19,
00:22:25.540 at least erect a temporary fence
00:22:28.600 to ensure the public safety of Canadians.
00:22:33.400 And even that won't move the needle on this issue, will it?
00:22:38.180 No.
00:22:38.800 You know what?
00:22:39.220 It might be time for a rude awakening
00:22:41.500 for our friends on the left.
00:22:43.800 You can either have open borders
00:22:45.560 or you can have a social safety net,
00:22:48.280 but you can't have both.
00:22:49.580 If you want quality, publicly funded healthcare
00:22:54.780 that everybody has access to
00:22:57.140 with enough ventilators in a pandemic,
00:23:00.360 then you cannot have open borders.
00:23:02.620 They're going to have to choose.
00:23:04.360 And I think this pandemic might force them to.
00:23:07.380 Interesting.
00:23:08.120 Well, you know what?
00:23:08.820 This is uncharted territory, Sheila.
00:23:10.960 This story seems to change by the hour.
00:23:15.020 And, you know, lots more to happen still.
00:23:18.360 Who knows where it's going to lead to?
00:23:20.100 And hopefully months from now,
00:23:22.100 we'll look back and say,
00:23:23.500 well, at least we nipped this in the bud
00:23:25.040 or maybe we're just even in a worse situation.
00:23:28.540 Today can never dream what tomorrow might bring.
00:23:30.980 Sheila, thank you for weighing in
00:23:32.600 on this very important topic today.
00:23:35.620 Thank you, David, and stay healthy.
00:23:37.580 You too, my friend.
00:23:38.440 And that was Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:23:40.480 Somewhere in the pristine wilderness
00:23:42.900 of northern Alberta.
00:23:44.900 Keep it here, folks.
00:23:46.080 More of the Ezra Levin show to come
00:23:48.240 right after this.
00:23:58.300 I was just talking by way of preamble
00:24:01.460 that I like to call it the coronavirus
00:24:03.220 because I think that's the most understandable
00:24:06.880 and sort of catchy, the word corona.
00:24:08.640 Like, COVID-19 doesn't mean much of anything.
00:24:12.320 It's designed to sound jargony and fancy
00:24:15.360 and like you have to be an expert to talk about it.
00:24:18.900 And, of course, it avoids the fact
00:24:21.100 that this is from Wuhan, China,
00:24:22.980 which is exactly where it's from.
00:24:25.240 Even if it wasn't designed as a biological weapon,
00:24:28.420 which I think is a possibility,
00:24:29.960 it's certainly being used as a political weapon by China.
00:24:33.240 I have to say, very, very senior Chinese diplomats
00:24:37.520 have actually, not just implied,
00:24:41.020 they have circulated the conspiracy theory
00:24:44.160 that the virus is, in fact,
00:24:46.520 a biological weapon deployed by the U.S. Army.
00:24:49.880 So, not only is China not accepting
00:24:55.220 any responsibility for the virus,
00:24:57.060 they're actually blaming America.
00:24:59.640 And the thing that I find even grosser,
00:25:01.780 to tell you the truth,
00:25:03.300 is that, of course, the virus came from China,
00:25:05.760 spread to Iran, spread to Italy,
00:25:08.200 which is a very large Chinese population,
00:25:10.140 especially in its north.
00:25:11.460 So, China infected the world,
00:25:13.300 and I say that because they withheld information,
00:25:15.880 information, they arrested and silenced doctors
00:25:19.920 who were ringing the alarm bell,
00:25:21.940 they lied about statistics,
00:25:24.660 and, of course, in China,
00:25:25.840 they don't have a free press at the best of times.
00:25:27.540 So, China allowed this coronavirus to spread,
00:25:32.080 and it has killed thousands of people around the world,
00:25:35.400 in Iran and in Italy,
00:25:38.460 and the chutzpah for China to now make a big show
00:25:42.360 of sending a few trinkets and baubles of aid
00:25:45.740 to Italy and, I think, to Spain,
00:25:49.200 and say, oh, we are great international citizens.
00:25:52.460 We've just infected your country.
00:25:54.700 We've hospitalized tens of thousands
00:25:56.740 and killed thousands,
00:25:57.960 but we're great citizens, unlike the United States,
00:26:01.220 so we'll give you a few thousand bucks worth
00:26:03.660 of, you know, junky Chinese medical gear.
00:26:08.600 That's, I think, a lot more gross
00:26:10.560 than the allegation of the conspiracy theory
00:26:15.300 that the whole thing is an American weapon.
00:26:17.920 Anyways, I've been tweeting about this all weekend,
00:26:21.080 and I've been traveling within Canada this weekend,
00:26:24.820 and I've been watching,
00:26:27.320 and I'm using my phone.
00:26:29.960 I don't know how to add visual elements
00:26:32.760 as I live stream.
00:26:33.580 Maybe that's not even possible.
00:26:35.160 I've been watching the flights from China
00:26:38.020 to Canada in real time.
00:26:43.240 And you can do that by going
00:26:44.780 to the different airports' websites.
00:26:49.120 So, for example, if you go to YVR,
00:26:51.340 well, thanks, Dennis.
00:26:52.140 Thank you.
00:26:52.520 If you go to yvr.ca,
00:26:56.060 that's the Vancouver airport,
00:26:57.760 which is, of course,
00:26:58.440 the major airport closest to China.
00:27:00.880 They average about five direct flights a day
00:27:05.140 from China,
00:27:09.700 from Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing,
00:27:13.020 Xiamen, Guangzhou.
00:27:15.400 And you can see what time the flights are landing,
00:27:18.800 and they give you the airline flight number,
00:27:27.740 like South China Airlines Flight 123 or whatever.
00:27:32.100 And you can type that in to flight trackers.
00:27:37.900 And you can watch in real time
00:27:41.880 as these flights fly from these Chinese cities
00:27:46.080 packed with people to Canada.
00:27:49.980 You can watch their progress over the skies.
00:27:53.760 And I haven't checked in a little while,
00:27:56.600 but, you know, one was 15 minutes away,
00:27:59.880 one was an hour away, three hours, nine hours.
00:28:02.160 You can see them cross the Pacific,
00:28:04.400 and more are scheduled tomorrow.
00:28:06.540 And this was going on all weekend.
00:28:08.780 That was one thing I found very interesting.
00:28:11.400 Another was the absurd
00:28:13.060 contention by Bill Blair,
00:28:17.900 Canada's public safety minister,
00:28:19.500 and other cabinet ministers,
00:28:21.020 that there was enhanced screening
00:28:23.220 at Canadian airports,
00:28:25.140 so don't you worry about it.
00:28:26.680 Well, that just wasn't true.
00:28:29.520 I myself came back through customs on Thursday,
00:28:35.460 and I didn't come from Asia.
00:28:37.840 I was actually, as you may know,
00:28:39.300 I was out in London
00:28:40.940 covering Tommy Robinson's trial.
00:28:42.600 I wasn't even on the ground there 10 hours,
00:28:45.080 but I did come through customs.
00:28:46.700 I had a single,
00:28:48.900 I went to a kiosk at customs,
00:28:51.200 and there was a single question,
00:28:52.560 have you been to Hubei province,
00:28:55.120 Italy, or Iran in the last 14 days?
00:28:57.360 I clicked no, and that was it.
00:28:59.200 There was no in-hand screening.
00:29:01.740 That's not even screening.
00:29:03.840 That question's in English and in French.
00:29:06.300 How does that help someone
00:29:07.320 who's flying in from China
00:29:09.020 who speaks neither of those languages?
00:29:11.200 And what is Hubei province?
00:29:13.760 I mean, I suppose maybe people in China
00:29:16.500 know all the answers to that,
00:29:18.380 but you have to know English and French.
00:29:20.300 You have to know your Chinese geography.
00:29:22.160 You have to pay attention to it.
00:29:23.640 You have to answer honestly.
00:29:25.660 That was it.
00:29:26.520 You pushed one button on a touchscreen.
00:29:28.900 And how gross is that?
00:29:30.720 Every single person from that foreign flight
00:29:33.080 pushing the touchscreen button.
00:29:34.500 Would you really even want to touch that button?
00:29:37.980 And that was it.
00:29:38.760 I walked right through.
00:29:39.600 There was no tests for fevers.
00:29:42.640 There was no one putting the little thermometer on you.
00:29:46.000 You can do an instant thermometer check
00:29:48.440 without, you know,
00:29:49.380 the old-fashioned way of thermometers,
00:29:50.780 putting them in your mouth.
00:29:51.900 You don't have to do that.
00:29:52.860 There's thermometers that go right on your forehead
00:29:54.480 that can take your temperature.
00:29:56.100 So, yeah, there absolutely was none.
00:30:00.800 And then on Friday,
00:30:03.800 I'm laughing, but it's not funny.
00:30:05.460 Bill Blair, the public safety minister,
00:30:06.880 announced there was greatly enhanced screening.
00:30:10.120 Yeah, it was one more question
00:30:11.840 on the touchscreen kiosk.
00:30:13.720 I don't even remember what it was exactly.
00:30:16.100 It was like more symptoms or something.
00:30:18.640 But so what?
00:30:19.320 Oh, and they gave you a handout in English or in French
00:30:21.880 because that'll be handling
00:30:22.680 if you're flying in from Chiang,
00:30:24.080 man, Guangzhou or other cities like that.
00:30:28.680 So, yeah, it was really a laugh.
00:30:30.720 And other levels of government
00:30:33.640 were starting to panic.
00:30:35.160 I saw that Jason Kenney,
00:30:36.160 the premier of Alberta,
00:30:36.860 made a personal visit
00:30:37.940 to the Edmonton International Airport
00:30:40.300 and he was appalled by what he saw.
00:30:42.960 François Legault of Quebec did the same thing.
00:30:46.960 I think the premier of Nova Scotia
00:30:50.160 was equally worried.
00:30:51.820 And most incredibly,
00:30:54.080 the city of Montreal was terrified
00:30:56.720 by what was going on
00:30:57.960 or more accurately,
00:30:59.400 not going on
00:31:00.280 in Montreal's airport,
00:31:03.560 which just happens to be called
00:31:04.560 the Pierre Trudeau Airport.
00:31:06.860 So when you have city mayors
00:31:09.520 and provincial premiers
00:31:11.240 stepping in
00:31:12.360 to try to fix our borders in some way,
00:31:15.900 you know it's a disaster.
00:31:17.080 And I read the headlines
00:31:18.040 coming out of Quebec today
00:31:20.140 and they were incredible.
00:31:21.120 Colin Trudeau
00:31:21.740 spectacularly incompetent,
00:31:24.660 very poor decisions,
00:31:26.840 total idiot,
00:31:27.840 like just absolutely
00:31:29.080 incredible headlines.
00:31:31.920 So today,
00:31:33.100 Trudeau
00:31:33.660 had a press conference
00:31:35.180 that was scheduled
00:31:35.900 for
00:31:36.460 1 p.m.
00:31:37.620 Eastern time.
00:31:38.260 Of course,
00:31:38.500 he was 40 minutes late
00:31:40.100 to his own press conference.
00:31:42.600 I mean,
00:31:43.540 it was literally
00:31:44.380 at his own house.
00:31:45.640 So it's not like
00:31:46.700 he got lost or something,
00:31:47.900 or maybe he did.
00:31:49.880 And to my surprise,
00:31:51.020 he brought in some measures.
00:31:53.980 And I was looking
00:31:56.140 before I just clicked record
00:31:57.360 on this
00:31:57.760 for some sort of
00:32:00.080 written indication of them,
00:32:03.360 but I didn't.
00:32:03.880 So I listened to his speech
00:32:04.860 and then Christian Freeland
00:32:06.120 and Patty Hajdu,
00:32:07.180 the health minister,
00:32:08.240 and Mark Garneau,
00:32:09.860 the transport minister,
00:32:10.800 and Bill Blair,
00:32:11.420 the public safety minister.
00:32:12.260 I listened to a bunch of speeches
00:32:13.160 and it sounds like
00:32:14.520 what's happening
00:32:15.100 is there will be
00:32:15.880 absolutely no travel ban
00:32:18.240 between Canada
00:32:19.400 and the United States.
00:32:20.460 Frankly,
00:32:20.780 it would be impossible
00:32:21.560 to do so.
00:32:23.980 But there will be
00:32:25.040 travel bans
00:32:25.800 for other foreigners
00:32:27.920 coming into Canada
00:32:29.000 unless they're
00:32:30.600 immediate family
00:32:34.580 of Canadian citizens.
00:32:36.760 I'm not sure
00:32:37.200 how I feel about that.
00:32:38.240 exception,
00:32:39.020 but it's somewhat limited.
00:32:41.340 So these bans,
00:32:43.300 travel bans,
00:32:44.000 take effect on Wednesday.
00:32:47.740 So these 5-6 flights
00:32:49.960 today from Hong Kong,
00:32:52.040 Shanghai, Beijing,
00:32:53.800 to Vancouver,
00:32:54.780 I presume
00:32:55.600 they will stop on Wednesday,
00:32:58.400 but there are
00:32:59.260 some other modest exceptions
00:33:00.460 for pilots,
00:33:01.720 for diplomats,
00:33:03.860 and there's an exception
00:33:04.660 made for trade
00:33:05.520 and business.
00:33:07.020 I don't know exactly
00:33:08.000 what that means.
00:33:09.660 I understand
00:33:10.440 if that means cargo.
00:33:12.220 So if you have a plane
00:33:13.320 coming in from China
00:33:14.700 or frankly
00:33:15.260 any other country
00:33:16.060 with stuff in it,
00:33:17.960 with boxes of stuff,
00:33:20.780 I get it.
00:33:21.500 Obviously,
00:33:22.280 that can come
00:33:23.080 and I don't know
00:33:24.180 enough about the virus
00:33:24.940 to know how long
00:33:25.720 it can live
00:33:26.300 on inanimate objects,
00:33:27.620 but cargo will continue.
00:33:31.100 But what does it mean
00:33:32.000 business and trade?
00:33:33.620 I don't know.
00:33:34.560 I mean,
00:33:34.960 I run a little business.
00:33:36.280 It's called Rebel News.
00:33:39.220 If some business in China
00:33:41.180 says,
00:33:41.560 well,
00:33:41.620 we have business in Canada,
00:33:43.400 can they come?
00:33:44.160 I haven't seen the fine print.
00:33:45.960 And let's be honest,
00:33:46.880 do you think
00:33:47.380 Justin Trudeau
00:33:48.540 has thought
00:33:49.200 about such things?
00:33:50.520 He's never run a business
00:33:51.380 before.
00:33:51.860 None of the people
00:33:52.500 in his cabinet
00:33:53.060 have ever done anything
00:33:54.320 of consequence before.
00:33:55.780 They haven't thought
00:33:56.400 about real life before.
00:33:58.640 They're just used
00:33:59.500 to tweeting and selfies
00:34:00.700 and strangely enough,
00:34:02.120 the virus didn't obey.
00:34:04.440 You know,
00:34:04.660 I saw just an absolutely
00:34:05.800 disgraceful press conference
00:34:07.500 yesterday
00:34:08.000 by about five different
00:34:09.560 cabinet ministers.
00:34:10.380 David Lamedi,
00:34:10.980 the justice minister,
00:34:11.800 was the worst.
00:34:12.960 Melanie Jolie,
00:34:13.780 all the dumb ones
00:34:14.640 were there.
00:34:15.780 And they were saying,
00:34:17.020 oh,
00:34:17.120 we got super big changes.
00:34:18.560 We just can't tell you
00:34:19.380 about them.
00:34:20.100 And David Lamedi
00:34:21.340 was boasting
00:34:22.060 about Canada's numbers.
00:34:23.200 They were doing so well.
00:34:24.640 Really, David?
00:34:25.680 The number of cases
00:34:26.680 has doubled
00:34:27.680 over the weekend.
00:34:29.100 Doubled over the weekend.
00:34:30.080 We're doing really great.
00:34:31.660 And again,
00:34:32.180 they were lying
00:34:32.700 about these enhanced measures.
00:34:33.900 It was just another
00:34:34.460 touch button
00:34:35.260 on the kiosk.
00:34:37.160 So I think
00:34:38.240 what's happening
00:34:38.920 is most foreign
00:34:40.640 travel is stopping.
00:34:41.600 Now,
00:34:41.780 one thing that I found
00:34:42.740 interesting
00:34:44.300 and a tiny bit hopeful
00:34:45.340 was that no one
00:34:46.900 is allowed to board
00:34:47.700 a plane to Canada
00:34:49.300 with symptoms
00:34:51.140 of the virus.
00:34:51.760 So they're suggesting
00:34:53.040 that they're pushing
00:34:53.760 the testing back
00:34:54.900 from the Canadian side
00:34:56.660 to the foreign side.
00:34:59.320 So the tests,
00:35:00.420 thanks, Ben.
00:35:01.440 So the tests
00:35:02.320 would be done
00:35:03.660 if there was a flight
00:35:04.920 from,
00:35:05.780 I don't know,
00:35:06.580 from India.
00:35:08.220 Although those flights,
00:35:09.480 I guess it would be
00:35:10.160 occasional foreign flights
00:35:12.060 of diplomats.
00:35:13.360 I don't know
00:35:13.860 how that would work.
00:35:15.260 You know,
00:35:15.540 how can you
00:35:16.240 have like an
00:35:18.080 almost total ban
00:35:19.160 of a country,
00:35:19.720 but not total.
00:35:20.680 I guess you'd have
00:35:21.300 the occasional flight
00:35:22.660 maybe once a month
00:35:23.580 just for diplomats
00:35:25.140 or something like that.
00:35:26.120 You would think
00:35:26.520 they would go maybe,
00:35:27.900 I don't know how
00:35:28.400 that's going to work.
00:35:29.040 I haven't seen the details.
00:35:30.400 But apparently
00:35:31.720 no one is allowed
00:35:32.660 to get on a plane
00:35:33.340 if they have symptoms.
00:35:34.620 And I guess
00:35:35.220 they're pushing
00:35:36.040 the airline to test.
00:35:38.280 So will the airlines
00:35:40.200 have thermometers
00:35:41.360 on the other end?
00:35:42.020 If so,
00:35:42.320 I think that's
00:35:42.700 a really good idea.
00:35:44.460 But it makes me think
00:35:45.440 why do they actually
00:35:46.480 have thermometer tests
00:35:48.140 on the foreign side
00:35:50.440 but not on the
00:35:51.680 Canadian airport side?
00:35:53.480 I listened pretty carefully
00:35:54.440 to what Bill Blair
00:35:55.200 said was going to happen
00:35:57.100 at Canadian airports.
00:35:58.500 And he said
00:35:58.940 they're going to have
00:35:59.500 even more pieces of paper
00:36:01.240 and even more
00:36:03.140 touchscreen kiosk
00:36:04.940 things to click.
00:36:06.420 but it didn't sound
00:36:09.220 like they're having
00:36:09.800 an army of people
00:36:10.660 with the little thermometers.
00:36:13.400 So he's expecting
00:36:14.540 airlines to be more
00:36:17.000 health conscious
00:36:19.080 than the Canadian government.
00:36:21.280 And I think
00:36:23.040 there was a question
00:36:23.820 put to Trudeau
00:36:24.860 about,
00:36:28.080 well, will you enforce
00:36:29.200 these quarantines
00:36:30.320 with the force of law?
00:36:31.960 And he said,
00:36:32.380 well, that's something
00:36:32.900 we'll have to think about.
00:36:34.560 Well, yeah, I think
00:36:36.300 and I think he's had
00:36:37.080 three months to think
00:36:37.960 about it
00:36:38.580 and he needs
00:36:41.180 to make a decision.
00:36:42.080 If you're going
00:36:42.500 to quarantine people,
00:36:43.760 is it going to be
00:36:44.800 a real quarantine
00:36:45.480 or is it going to be
00:36:46.200 sort of a fake quarantine?
00:36:49.080 Quarantine where they
00:36:49.800 might just go out
00:36:51.360 once in a while
00:36:52.280 because that's not
00:36:54.180 much of a quarantine
00:36:54.860 at all.
00:36:57.060 I was,
00:36:57.580 part of me was worried
00:36:58.260 that they were going
00:36:58.740 to put Canada
00:36:59.380 under some sort
00:37:01.520 of martial law
00:37:02.640 and I know that sounds
00:37:03.460 like a crazy thing
00:37:04.440 but Trudeau's father,
00:37:06.600 Pierre Trudeau,
00:37:07.100 put the entire province
00:37:08.040 of Quebec
00:37:08.400 under martial law
00:37:09.340 using the War Measures Act.
00:37:11.580 In that case,
00:37:12.240 there was,
00:37:12.980 the FLQ terrorists
00:37:14.120 had set off some bombs
00:37:15.260 right beforehand.
00:37:17.860 I thought maybe Trudeau
00:37:19.120 would try and pay homage
00:37:20.480 to his dad
00:37:21.300 and tap into that
00:37:22.560 historical echo
00:37:24.080 but he didn't.
00:37:25.740 At least that would
00:37:26.680 show decisiveness.
00:37:28.300 I mean,
00:37:28.840 is it decisive
00:37:29.800 to ban some
00:37:30.600 foreign flights?
00:37:31.360 Yes.
00:37:32.200 Is it a good idea
00:37:33.040 to ask airlines
00:37:34.580 to do testing
00:37:35.380 on the foreign end
00:37:36.680 rather than the domestic
00:37:37.560 end of a flight?
00:37:38.060 Yeah,
00:37:38.240 it's a good idea.
00:37:39.460 But when someone
00:37:40.420 gets off a plane
00:37:41.580 and is symptomatic,
00:37:43.300 is wheezing,
00:37:45.480 coughing,
00:37:46.500 all the bad things,
00:37:47.660 high fever,
00:37:49.640 then what?
00:37:52.080 Quarantine.
00:37:52.780 Well,
00:37:53.000 what does that mean
00:37:53.720 to be quarantined?
00:37:55.600 Voluntary?
00:37:56.120 If you're not going
00:37:56.800 to have some sort
00:37:57.620 of rule,
00:37:59.060 some sort
00:37:59.500 of enforcement,
00:38:00.400 hey,
00:38:00.660 thanks very much,
00:38:01.360 Quickman,
00:38:02.200 how's that going
00:38:03.620 to work?
00:38:04.520 We don't want
00:38:05.240 to be too authoritarian
00:38:06.300 but if someone
00:38:09.220 really is like
00:38:10.140 a typhoid Mary,
00:38:12.280 maybe there is
00:38:12.880 a public health
00:38:13.700 argument to confining
00:38:14.980 them to their homes
00:38:15.860 on some sort
00:38:16.940 of penalty.
00:38:17.460 I don't think
00:38:18.280 Canada yet
00:38:19.280 has any penalty
00:38:20.860 for people
00:38:21.440 who break a quarantine.
00:38:22.940 I'm not talking
00:38:23.580 about people
00:38:24.740 who,
00:38:25.380 oh,
00:38:25.800 I missed
00:38:26.300 a super chat
00:38:28.020 there.
00:38:28.320 There we go,
00:38:28.760 DJM,
00:38:29.640 please everyone
00:38:30.120 stay safe.
00:38:30.760 I'm sadden
00:38:31.200 that the coronavirus
00:38:31.740 will be used
00:38:32.260 as an excuse
00:38:32.600 to bring in
00:38:33.180 Chinese-style socialism,
00:38:34.640 government monitoring
00:38:35.240 and destruction
00:38:35.740 of privacy
00:38:36.220 and civil liberties.
00:38:37.460 Well,
00:38:37.760 that's an interesting
00:38:38.420 point right there
00:38:39.340 because,
00:38:40.300 and thank you
00:38:42.760 for that comment,
00:38:43.940 because,
00:38:47.080 you know,
00:38:48.100 the left always
00:38:48.700 has that phrase,
00:38:49.500 never let a crisis
00:38:50.260 go to waste.
00:38:51.040 you know,
00:38:55.720 Ari Emanuel,
00:38:58.140 sorry,
00:38:58.640 Rahm Emanuel,
00:38:59.940 Barack Obama's
00:39:01.080 former chief of staff
00:39:01.840 used to say
00:39:02.360 that all the time,
00:39:03.840 never let a crisis
00:39:04.720 go to waste.
00:39:05.560 And I was,
00:39:07.420 I thought Justin Trudeau
00:39:08.480 would for sure
00:39:09.200 use this for certain
00:39:10.300 things.
00:39:10.580 Thanks,
00:39:10.880 deboucher.
00:39:14.720 I think it's
00:39:15.580 sort of the opposite.
00:39:16.240 I think he's
00:39:17.740 generally indecisive
00:39:19.980 and vague
00:39:21.040 and doesn't know
00:39:22.060 what to do.
00:39:23.600 I think he's
00:39:24.340 a little bit lazy.
00:39:25.280 I think his head's
00:39:25.980 a little cloudy.
00:39:27.460 We know that he
00:39:28.720 uses marijuana
00:39:29.680 and alcohol
00:39:30.820 and has done so
00:39:32.000 since becoming
00:39:32.760 an MP.
00:39:33.640 We don't have
00:39:34.680 hard evidence
00:39:35.360 that he's done so
00:39:36.580 since becoming PM,
00:39:37.640 but I don't think
00:39:38.860 he's engaged
00:39:40.060 in the world
00:39:40.640 and I think he was
00:39:41.420 hands-off
00:39:42.040 in this whole thing.
00:39:43.060 I recall a couple
00:39:44.020 months ago,
00:39:44.480 maybe it was a month ago,
00:39:45.180 when the first
00:39:47.160 coronavirus case
00:39:47.960 came to Ontario
00:39:48.740 and it was a weekend
00:39:50.640 and the province
00:39:52.680 of Ontario
00:39:53.600 had an emergency
00:39:56.460 weekend press conference
00:39:57.780 with the Ontario
00:39:58.700 public health officer
00:40:00.420 and Ontario officials,
00:40:02.140 not the federal
00:40:03.900 health department,
00:40:05.060 not Trudeau's people,
00:40:06.120 no Trudeau cabinet ministers.
00:40:07.640 They were all out
00:40:08.260 partying
00:40:08.740 and tweeting selfies.
00:40:11.020 So I think Trudeau
00:40:12.320 was simply in vacation mode.
00:40:13.780 He didn't want
00:40:14.260 to deal with it.
00:40:15.180 And he's been
00:40:15.960 dragged into this
00:40:16.860 late.
00:40:18.520 And I'm worried,
00:40:19.900 like I say,
00:40:21.200 today alone,
00:40:22.480 1,000 people
00:40:23.860 will be arriving
00:40:24.740 in Vancouver
00:40:25.600 alone
00:40:26.280 from China.
00:40:28.540 And there are
00:40:29.080 two flights
00:40:29.700 that I could see
00:40:30.820 going into Toronto,
00:40:32.260 into Toronto Pearson
00:40:33.520 from China.
00:40:35.160 And I didn't
00:40:36.820 see one today
00:40:38.820 in Montreal's airport.
00:40:40.140 I didn't check
00:40:40.940 Calgary or Edmonton.
00:40:42.520 So I think that
00:40:46.320 I think that
00:40:48.040 instead of using
00:40:49.480 this crisis to clamp
00:40:50.620 down on civil liberties,
00:40:52.280 I thought that
00:40:53.060 Justin Trudeau was
00:40:53.880 sort of
00:40:54.240 not quite welcoming
00:40:56.000 the crisis,
00:40:56.800 but certainly not
00:40:57.620 opposing it,
00:40:58.660 being very passive.
00:40:59.460 And I thought this was
00:41:00.120 for two reasons.
00:41:00.840 First of all,
00:41:02.040 I think he's really
00:41:02.740 weird about
00:41:03.500 depopulation
00:41:04.820 and seniors,
00:41:05.860 and he's the
00:41:07.200 opposite of a
00:41:07.960 pro-life person.
00:41:08.920 I think he,
00:41:10.000 in his own
00:41:10.700 perverse population
00:41:12.220 control kind of way,
00:41:13.260 welcomes the virus.
00:41:14.120 I know that's a
00:41:14.780 strange thing to say,
00:41:16.000 but I think that is
00:41:16.760 his general ideology.
00:41:18.760 And second of all,
00:41:19.440 there's no way
00:41:20.160 that Justin Trudeau
00:41:21.060 would ever do
00:41:22.420 anything that would
00:41:23.420 embarrass communist
00:41:24.480 China.
00:41:25.600 So that's why I think
00:41:26.860 he was one of the
00:41:27.440 last leaders in
00:41:28.560 the free world
00:41:29.300 to allow direct
00:41:30.600 flights from China.
00:41:31.660 There are flights
00:41:32.280 literally right now
00:41:33.900 over the Pacific Ocean
00:41:35.100 heading to Vancouver.
00:41:36.640 If you tell me,
00:41:37.160 go to yvr.ca,
00:41:40.000 that's the
00:41:40.540 Vancouver airport site,
00:41:41.840 and just click on
00:41:43.220 arrivals,
00:41:44.520 and you can see,
00:41:46.000 scan down it,
00:41:46.840 you can see them,
00:41:47.600 or I tweeted
00:41:48.480 a list of them
00:41:49.420 earlier today.
00:41:51.540 So,
00:41:52.240 what's good?
00:41:54.220 Well,
00:41:54.520 good is there's
00:41:55.240 a real damper
00:41:56.280 and a great reduction
00:41:58.000 of foreign travel
00:41:58.880 to Canada.
00:42:00.220 Second of all,
00:42:01.860 those foreign flights
00:42:02.800 will now go to
00:42:03.520 four airports.
00:42:04.300 Now,
00:42:04.640 most of them
00:42:05.580 are going to
00:42:05.820 those four airports
00:42:06.480 anyways,
00:42:07.340 Calgary,
00:42:07.740 Vancouver,
00:42:08.220 Montreal,
00:42:08.620 and Toronto.
00:42:09.740 Jimmy Lawrence,
00:42:10.280 hi Ezra,
00:42:10.700 hope it's not
00:42:11.120 too late.
00:42:12.460 Let me just
00:42:12.760 click that to get
00:42:13.520 conspiracy theorists
00:42:15.540 are saying
00:42:16.000 this has similar
00:42:17.720 proteins to
00:42:18.700 the AIDS virus.
00:42:21.080 Look,
00:42:21.520 I simply don't know.
00:42:23.260 And I don't know
00:42:24.360 the provenance,
00:42:25.680 the origin
00:42:26.960 of this virus.
00:42:29.280 Some people thought
00:42:29.900 it might have been
00:42:30.380 those gross wet
00:42:31.400 markets,
00:42:31.940 as they're called,
00:42:32.920 where people
00:42:33.460 buy live animals
00:42:34.700 and even eat
00:42:35.420 them live in some
00:42:36.260 cases,
00:42:36.720 like bats.
00:42:38.720 So,
00:42:39.320 is that the source
00:42:40.020 of the virus
00:42:40.480 or is that
00:42:41.060 Wuhan Biological
00:42:42.180 Research Station?
00:42:44.480 Who knows?
00:42:45.460 I really don't know.
00:42:48.040 So,
00:42:48.520 the direct flights
00:42:49.260 from China
00:42:49.700 will probably end
00:42:50.560 on Wednesday,
00:42:51.440 although there will
00:42:52.720 be some exceptions,
00:42:53.660 as I mentioned,
00:42:54.420 if you're immediate
00:42:55.500 family of Canadian
00:42:56.940 citizens,
00:42:57.600 if you're diplomats
00:42:58.460 or their family,
00:42:59.580 you can come in
00:43:01.220 still.
00:43:03.820 Americans can come
00:43:04.760 in still.
00:43:06.620 Now,
00:43:07.020 luckily,
00:43:07.380 America already
00:43:07.960 shut down a lot
00:43:09.280 of its foreign
00:43:09.740 flights.
00:43:10.660 Hot soup.
00:43:11.200 Has the government
00:43:11.620 asked,
00:43:12.180 let me just click
00:43:12.620 on that,
00:43:13.080 has the government
00:43:13.540 asked about the
00:43:14.160 two Canadians
00:43:14.540 being held hostage
00:43:15.320 in China?
00:43:16.140 Are they being
00:43:16.580 quarantined in prison?
00:43:17.560 What a great question.
00:43:18.960 And by the way,
00:43:19.640 they were kidnapped
00:43:20.300 in December
00:43:21.620 of 2018,
00:43:24.000 so January,
00:43:24.880 February,
00:43:25.260 March,
00:43:25.580 we're at 15
00:43:26.200 months now.
00:43:28.460 So I think
00:43:30.880 that we're
00:43:31.240 in the soup,
00:43:32.540 not bad soup,
00:43:33.620 but other troubling
00:43:34.640 soup.
00:43:35.520 I think Trudeau
00:43:36.680 has done less
00:43:37.920 and done it later
00:43:39.400 than pretty much
00:43:40.720 every country
00:43:41.400 in the world.
00:43:41.880 The UK has not
00:43:42.640 been particularly
00:43:43.320 effective.
00:43:43.860 Singapore and
00:43:45.040 Taiwan and
00:43:45.960 Korea have managed
00:43:46.940 to wrestle things
00:43:47.700 to the ground,
00:43:48.400 and they're right
00:43:49.140 there in the hot
00:43:49.740 zone.
00:43:51.220 Israel has taken
00:43:52.200 extraordinary
00:43:52.900 measures of
00:43:54.200 isolation and
00:43:55.820 quarantine.
00:43:57.120 I'm not quite
00:43:58.520 sure why they're
00:43:59.340 going so
00:43:59.780 hardcore on it.
00:44:01.160 Maybe it's
00:44:01.820 because they're
00:44:02.660 a very traveling
00:44:03.500 country.
00:44:04.080 They're a small
00:44:04.540 country in the
00:44:05.180 middle of the
00:44:05.580 world, really,
00:44:06.480 at the juncture
00:44:07.080 of Africa,
00:44:07.880 Asia, and
00:44:08.320 Europe, and
00:44:08.740 so their people
00:44:09.380 travel a lot.
00:44:10.820 Flights are cheap,
00:44:11.680 and they're the
00:44:12.220 gateway to so
00:44:12.840 many things.
00:44:13.500 I don't know
00:44:14.100 why Israel's
00:44:14.960 gone so hard
00:44:16.640 line, shutting
00:44:18.000 down all
00:44:18.460 tourism, all
00:44:19.740 people coming
00:44:20.400 in from a
00:44:20.860 broad 14-day
00:44:21.700 quarantine, strictly
00:44:22.660 enforced, very
00:44:24.180 heavy duty.
00:44:24.660 We've been
00:44:27.060 going for 20
00:44:27.560 minutes here.
00:44:28.020 Let me take
00:44:28.380 some more
00:44:28.680 questions, and
00:44:29.240 thanks for
00:44:29.580 those super
00:44:30.040 chats.
00:44:30.640 If you make
00:44:31.160 a super
00:44:31.460 chat, I'll
00:44:31.840 make a point
00:44:32.740 of reading
00:44:33.220 it.
00:44:34.100 I don't
00:44:34.680 think I
00:44:35.040 missed too
00:44:35.400 many.
00:44:37.400 So, Chris
00:44:38.940 Picken just
00:44:39.580 sent $20 on
00:44:41.180 PayPal.
00:44:42.060 Keep up the
00:44:42.360 good work.
00:44:42.760 Appreciate all
00:44:43.300 you do.
00:44:43.540 Keep the
00:44:43.780 news real.
00:44:44.160 Thank you
00:44:44.420 very much,
00:44:44.840 Chris.
00:44:47.880 Oops.
00:44:49.440 What else
00:44:49.860 we got here?
00:44:51.640 We Americans
00:44:52.100 see Trudeau as
00:44:53.100 a puppet of
00:44:53.560 the deep state
00:44:54.100 cabal.
00:44:55.300 Puppet for
00:44:55.920 sure.
00:44:56.200 He's certainly
00:44:56.500 not his own
00:44:57.020 man.
00:45:00.040 There's another
00:45:00.700 agenda to help
00:45:01.340 reduce.
00:45:02.140 Okay, these are
00:45:02.880 coming through
00:45:03.220 pretty quick.
00:45:05.100 Israel takes a
00:45:05.740 hard line on
00:45:06.360 its border.
00:45:06.920 What gives?
00:45:07.480 Well, I
00:45:07.900 support borders
00:45:10.960 for Israel and
00:45:12.160 for Canada.
00:45:13.340 Anyone who
00:45:13.840 watches my
00:45:14.480 show or our
00:45:15.220 videos knows
00:45:15.800 we're very
00:45:16.280 strongly.
00:45:16.780 Oh, I saw
00:45:17.240 someone earlier.
00:45:18.320 Sorry, I just
00:45:18.800 remembered.
00:45:19.740 Someone said,
00:45:20.420 what about
00:45:20.680 Roxham Road?
00:45:22.340 That's a very
00:45:22.760 good question.
00:45:23.360 Because, of
00:45:24.300 course, Roxham
00:45:24.880 Road is
00:45:25.460 between Canada
00:45:26.080 and the United
00:45:26.400 States.
00:45:27.480 But, of
00:45:27.920 course, the
00:45:28.320 people coming
00:45:28.760 across that
00:45:29.360 road are
00:45:29.740 non-American
00:45:30.280 citizens or
00:45:31.660 permanent residents
00:45:32.640 or anything like
00:45:33.260 that.
00:45:33.500 They're illegals.
00:45:34.060 That's why they're
00:45:34.440 sneaking up here.
00:45:35.600 I bet you a
00:45:36.640 dollar that
00:45:38.520 Trudeau will not
00:45:39.220 shut down Roxham
00:45:40.000 Road.
00:45:40.780 I bet you he
00:45:41.560 absolutely won't.
00:45:43.680 Trudeau bought
00:45:44.380 Rebel Media from
00:45:45.140 the conference.
00:45:45.660 He did.
00:45:46.420 Yeah, we
00:45:46.900 applied to attend
00:45:48.400 the conference as
00:45:49.080 per his
00:45:49.360 instructions, and we
00:45:50.520 were turned down.
00:45:51.120 And I wonder
00:45:51.560 why.
00:45:54.200 Canada closes
00:45:54.820 borders to
00:45:55.320 non-residents 25
00:45:56.260 minutes ago.
00:45:57.060 Not quite.
00:45:58.300 Americans are
00:45:59.080 still allowed to
00:45:59.820 come here, and
00:46:00.540 these flight bans
00:46:01.960 don't take place
00:46:02.700 until Wednesday.
00:46:04.040 But close
00:46:04.420 enough.
00:46:05.240 Why won't he
00:46:05.760 shut Roxham?
00:46:07.000 It's part of his
00:46:07.780 ideology.
00:46:08.680 He believes in
00:46:09.300 open borders.
00:46:10.380 Whatever.
00:46:10.960 699.
00:46:11.860 When is the
00:46:12.400 government going
00:46:12.780 to close the
00:46:13.280 Roxham Road
00:46:13.700 crossing?
00:46:14.800 Why on earth
00:46:15.280 they continue to
00:46:16.140 keep that open?
00:46:16.760 As I was
00:46:18.360 saying, I
00:46:18.720 think it's
00:46:19.040 part of
00:46:19.300 Trudeau's
00:46:19.640 open borders
00:46:20.160 ideology.
00:46:21.460 I think it's
00:46:22.020 sort of his
00:46:22.420 slap in the
00:46:22.980 face at
00:46:23.360 Donald Trump.
00:46:24.760 And of
00:46:25.040 course, you
00:46:25.580 bring in
00:46:26.000 50,000,
00:46:26.560 100,000
00:46:26.960 people, they're
00:46:27.720 absolutely going
00:46:29.000 to be liberal
00:46:29.500 voters.
00:46:29.920 Of course they
00:46:30.340 are.
00:46:30.980 Sen Kien.
00:46:31.620 Yeah, Kien was
00:46:32.220 just down there
00:46:32.860 the other day.
00:46:34.040 Moni TV.
00:46:35.060 Thanks very
00:46:35.460 much for that.
00:46:37.700 Can you say
00:46:38.240 xenophobic?
00:46:39.140 I can say it,
00:46:40.260 but I don't
00:46:40.820 believe it, because
00:46:42.340 the virus came
00:46:43.420 from Wuhan,
00:46:44.660 China.
00:46:44.980 China, that's
00:46:47.040 just a fact.
00:46:48.640 Iran was
00:46:49.360 another hotspot
00:46:50.080 and Italy.
00:46:51.100 And we
00:46:51.280 actually, here's
00:46:52.020 the irony,
00:46:53.260 xenophobia
00:46:54.140 commenter, we
00:46:55.680 shut down
00:46:56.240 flights from
00:46:56.900 Italy a week
00:46:58.760 ago, but
00:46:59.720 there's still
00:47:00.320 flights from
00:47:02.120 China to
00:47:04.980 this day.
00:47:05.880 So how is it
00:47:06.600 xenophobic to
00:47:07.340 ban the
00:47:07.760 flights from
00:47:08.360 Italy, but
00:47:09.620 not China, the
00:47:10.480 source of the
00:47:10.880 virus?
00:47:11.980 And it's not
00:47:12.680 just that it's a
00:47:13.200 source of the
00:47:13.560 virus, it's that
00:47:14.060 we can't trust
00:47:14.660 the government
00:47:15.040 there at all.
00:47:15.940 We can't
00:47:16.400 trust their
00:47:16.800 statistics, we
00:47:17.460 can't trust
00:47:17.900 their reporting,
00:47:18.760 we can't
00:47:19.300 trust anything
00:47:19.820 that comes
00:47:20.240 from them.
00:47:23.060 Slap in the
00:47:23.580 face of Trump,
00:47:24.160 Trudeau, that's
00:47:24.740 the one that's
00:47:25.220 going to be
00:47:25.580 sorry.
00:47:26.280 Yeah, well,
00:47:26.740 Trudeau keeps
00:47:27.340 pulling the
00:47:28.340 tail of the
00:47:29.100 lion, and
00:47:30.560 the lion ignores
00:47:31.320 him, but one
00:47:32.460 day he won't,
00:47:33.160 one day he'll
00:47:33.880 tear him to
00:47:35.340 pieces, and
00:47:36.100 that'll be bad
00:47:36.580 for our
00:47:36.860 country.
00:47:39.040 Reagan says
00:47:40.060 it's a
00:47:40.380 bioweapon.
00:47:41.000 Well, it
00:47:41.220 certainly is,
00:47:41.840 isn't it?
00:47:42.260 Eugene
00:47:43.820 Yee, where's
00:47:44.360 your proof?
00:47:44.880 Proof of
00:47:45.280 what?
00:47:45.900 The virus
00:47:46.460 came from
00:47:47.080 Wuhan.
00:47:49.600 Chinese
00:47:50.040 government does
00:47:50.600 not deny
00:47:51.080 that.
00:47:52.720 Well, now
00:47:53.440 they're circulating
00:47:54.320 a conspiracy
00:47:54.980 theory to the
00:47:55.700 contrary.
00:47:58.420 We need
00:47:59.080 info on what
00:47:59.640 China did in
00:48:00.200 Winnipeg.
00:48:00.640 Well, I think
00:48:01.260 you're referring
00:48:01.800 to the fact
00:48:02.400 that in
00:48:02.820 Winnipeg, one
00:48:03.600 of Canada's
00:48:04.220 high-security
00:48:04.840 virus labs
00:48:05.800 is, and
00:48:07.600 Trudeau
00:48:09.480 bizarrely
00:48:10.160 approved
00:48:10.820 sending the
00:48:11.420 Ebola virus
00:48:12.460 from Canada
00:48:13.860 to China.
00:48:15.080 Why?
00:48:16.060 And then
00:48:16.500 there was
00:48:16.940 a Chinese
00:48:17.900 national
00:48:18.360 working at
00:48:18.880 that virology
00:48:20.040 lab in
00:48:21.180 Winnipeg who
00:48:21.920 was suddenly
00:48:22.540 frog-marched
00:48:23.300 out of the
00:48:23.560 office and
00:48:24.120 fired, obviously
00:48:25.440 for some
00:48:25.900 sort of
00:48:26.200 espionage.
00:48:27.460 Yeah, I
00:48:28.500 don't know if
00:48:28.900 we'll ever
00:48:29.180 learn more
00:48:29.740 about that,
00:48:30.360 the truth
00:48:30.720 about that.
00:48:31.700 Neither
00:48:32.020 Trudeau nor
00:48:33.180 China would
00:48:33.640 want us to
00:48:34.060 hear it.
00:48:35.800 Spanish flu
00:48:36.620 didn't originate
00:48:39.880 in Spain.
00:48:40.680 Stop spreading
00:48:41.180 misinformation,
00:48:42.100 Ezra.
00:48:42.620 All right,
00:48:43.040 well, I'll
00:48:43.420 do some
00:48:43.780 studying on
00:48:44.300 where different
00:48:44.920 things were
00:48:45.500 named.
00:48:46.280 I know
00:48:46.640 German
00:48:47.020 measles and
00:48:48.400 well, I
00:48:49.560 know Ebola
00:48:50.100 for certain
00:48:50.820 was named
00:48:51.240 after the
00:48:52.700 region.
00:48:53.680 My point
00:48:54.240 is it's
00:48:54.540 simply not
00:48:56.000 pejorative
00:48:57.180 to call a
00:48:57.760 place after
00:48:58.380 its name,
00:48:59.520 and it's
00:49:00.640 deceptive to
00:49:01.480 try and hide
00:49:02.220 the origin of
00:49:02.940 it.
00:49:03.060 And like I
00:49:03.420 say, I want
00:49:03.880 to know where
00:49:04.360 the virus came
00:49:05.040 from.
00:49:05.840 Was it
00:49:06.080 natural or
00:49:07.120 was it
00:49:07.520 related to
00:49:08.140 the virus
00:49:08.800 lab there?
00:49:10.060 Depp
00:49:10.280 Byrne says
00:49:10.700 Trudeau getting
00:49:11.260 his wish to
00:49:11.740 go full
00:49:12.120 dictator,
00:49:12.620 his preferred
00:49:13.020 mode of
00:49:13.380 governing.
00:49:14.560 Well, I
00:49:15.120 wouldn't say
00:49:15.540 he's done
00:49:15.900 that quite
00:49:16.400 yet.
00:49:17.460 In fact,
00:49:17.940 in some
00:49:18.300 ways,
00:49:18.620 he's been
00:49:19.000 very hands-off
00:49:20.940 still.
00:49:24.300 Is this the
00:49:24.980 Wuhan coronavirus
00:49:26.140 too and forever
00:49:26.740 will be to
00:49:27.240 me, Trudeau
00:49:27.900 and all
00:49:28.180 those people
00:49:28.440 kind with
00:49:28.840 the CCP
00:49:29.400 have blood
00:49:29.820 on their
00:49:30.040 hands?
00:49:30.240 Yeah, I
00:49:31.140 mean, Trudeau
00:49:31.540 is so
00:49:31.880 chummy with
00:49:32.440 China and
00:49:33.760 it reflects
00:49:34.200 in so many
00:49:34.620 things.
00:49:35.000 Joe Doyle,
00:49:35.880 if we can't
00:49:36.360 call it the
00:49:36.760 Wuhan virus,
00:49:37.560 then I
00:49:37.820 propose calling
00:49:38.360 it the
00:49:38.620 Mao virus
00:49:39.420 for humorous
00:49:41.240 reasons.
00:49:41.720 Yeah, but
00:49:43.760 of course,
00:49:44.240 the president
00:49:44.740 in China
00:49:45.940 now is
00:49:46.760 Xi Jinping
00:49:47.800 and he
00:49:49.140 deserves a
00:49:49.640 lot of
00:49:50.060 responsibility
00:49:50.620 for this.
00:49:52.780 Pluto
00:49:53.220 Tree says
00:49:54.520 keep it
00:49:54.860 up.
00:49:55.100 Thank you
00:49:55.320 very much.
00:49:56.460 And
00:49:56.880 Oriana
00:49:57.700 Fisher says
00:49:58.400 today we
00:49:58.680 tried to
00:49:58.960 withdraw money
00:49:59.460 from the
00:49:59.700 Royal Bank
00:50:00.000 of Canada.
00:50:02.440 They're only
00:50:03.060 allowing a
00:50:03.440 $3,000 limit
00:50:04.140 from any of
00:50:04.620 your accounts
00:50:05.020 stating that
00:50:05.460 may change
00:50:05.880 as the week
00:50:06.140 progresses.
00:50:06.640 Any thoughts,
00:50:07.200 Ezra?
00:50:07.940 Well, you
00:50:08.700 know what?
00:50:09.060 I had a
00:50:09.500 similar experience
00:50:10.220 myself.
00:50:11.720 There was
00:50:13.480 even more
00:50:14.220 dramatic than
00:50:14.880 that and
00:50:15.720 it hasn't
00:50:16.560 Ezra don't
00:50:17.620 look so good
00:50:18.380 says Jade.
00:50:19.380 It's the
00:50:19.740 orange light
00:50:20.480 in here.
00:50:21.100 I'm on the
00:50:22.040 road and
00:50:23.020 I look
00:50:24.180 orange.
00:50:24.980 I don't
00:50:25.400 look orange
00:50:26.080 in person
00:50:27.140 that much.
00:50:28.440 I don't
00:50:28.760 think.
00:50:29.740 Yeah, RBC,
00:50:30.860 I don't doubt
00:50:31.700 that and
00:50:32.880 that's going
00:50:33.540 to cause
00:50:33.860 some panic
00:50:34.360 that's for
00:50:34.760 sure.
00:50:37.780 Russian bot
00:50:38.700 freedom has
00:50:39.220 always been
00:50:39.620 paid for
00:50:40.120 with blood.
00:50:41.720 There's
00:50:42.120 some truth
00:50:42.500 there.
00:50:44.520 Support
00:50:45.060 the truth.
00:50:46.440 Orange
00:50:46.860 Ezra bad.
00:50:48.040 Kung flu.
00:50:49.800 Peter
00:50:50.040 announced
00:50:50.300 coronavirus
00:50:50.700 affect
00:50:51.180 leadership
00:50:51.520 race.
00:50:52.000 Okay, you're
00:50:52.520 talking about
00:50:53.060 the
00:50:53.660 Conservative
00:50:53.980 Party of
00:50:54.320 Canada
00:50:54.500 leadership
00:50:54.800 race.
00:50:55.520 Yeah, of
00:50:55.840 course it'll
00:50:56.440 affect the
00:50:57.740 race because
00:50:58.180 people can't
00:50:58.780 campaign with
00:51:00.100 person to
00:51:01.320 person campaigning
00:51:02.320 with big
00:51:02.720 group campaigning.
00:51:04.140 So it's
00:51:04.640 turns to
00:51:05.720 more who
00:51:07.440 has the
00:51:08.020 digital
00:51:08.500 campaign.
00:51:08.980 Ed
00:51:11.040 Sweet,
00:51:11.340 keep up
00:51:11.600 the good
00:51:11.820 work,
00:51:12.040 things
00:51:12.200 Ed,
00:51:13.480 who has
00:51:14.140 a bigger
00:51:14.380 online
00:51:14.660 presence and
00:51:15.480 who has
00:51:15.700 a bigger
00:51:15.900 name
00:51:16.300 recognition.
00:51:18.580 So I
00:51:19.180 think that
00:51:19.760 Idris
00:51:20.640 Alba has
00:51:21.080 coronavirus.
00:51:22.100 I saw
00:51:22.480 that.
00:51:22.940 I saw
00:51:23.580 that.
00:51:23.880 I saw
00:51:24.340 his tweet
00:51:24.820 to that
00:51:25.080 effect.
00:51:27.560 Back to
00:51:28.060 the Conservative
00:51:28.520 leadership race
00:51:29.080 here in
00:51:29.360 Canada,
00:51:29.820 obviously it's
00:51:30.360 to the
00:51:30.600 benefit of
00:51:31.140 both Peter
00:51:31.520 McKay and
00:51:31.940 Aaron O'Toole
00:51:32.480 who really
00:51:32.880 are the
00:51:33.080 only two
00:51:33.360 that have
00:51:33.580 the name
00:51:33.800 recognition
00:51:34.260 if
00:51:35.560 campaigning
00:51:36.280 continues
00:51:37.340 during this
00:51:38.720 time.
00:51:39.040 But frankly,
00:51:39.480 it's not
00:51:39.760 top of
00:51:40.100 mind for
00:51:40.460 me.
00:51:41.240 I'm not
00:51:41.820 that engrossed
00:51:42.460 in the
00:51:42.660 Tory leadership
00:51:43.100 race.
00:51:43.720 It's not
00:51:44.220 my top
00:51:45.020 priority.
00:51:46.680 Maria says,
00:51:47.360 hi from
00:51:47.660 Finland.
00:51:48.620 Hi there.
00:51:49.980 I'm yawning.
00:51:50.620 I'm sorry I
00:51:51.160 didn't have a
00:51:51.560 lot of sleep.
00:51:52.020 Ezra, you
00:51:52.260 don't look
00:51:52.600 too good.
00:51:57.600 No, it's
00:51:58.440 just lack
00:51:58.900 of sleep.
00:52:01.300 China is
00:52:01.880 evil to
00:52:02.200 animals.
00:52:02.760 Well,
00:52:03.240 listen,
00:52:03.800 I think
00:52:04.740 that's
00:52:04.980 true, but
00:52:05.760 it's more
00:52:06.160 evil to
00:52:06.500 people.
00:52:08.100 And I
00:52:09.880 think one
00:52:10.180 of the
00:52:10.340 reasons to
00:52:10.780 be nice
00:52:11.180 to animals
00:52:11.940 is because
00:52:13.080 if you're
00:52:13.340 nice to
00:52:13.820 an animal,
00:52:14.420 imagine how
00:52:14.840 much nicer
00:52:15.280 you'll be
00:52:15.620 even to
00:52:15.980 people.
00:52:17.900 You look
00:52:18.420 like Trump
00:52:18.800 today.
00:52:19.020 I don't
00:52:19.240 know why
00:52:19.520 it's
00:52:19.680 orange.
00:52:20.100 I don't
00:52:20.300 know if
00:52:20.500 that's
00:52:20.720 the light.
00:52:21.240 I got a
00:52:21.540 light over
00:52:21.880 here.
00:52:22.100 I opened
00:52:22.360 the blind.
00:52:22.960 They eat
00:52:23.240 bats in
00:52:23.620 China, I
00:52:24.020 know.
00:52:24.920 China eats
00:52:25.360 people.
00:52:25.660 No, I'm
00:52:26.120 saying if
00:52:26.520 you're nice
00:52:26.880 to animals,
00:52:27.860 I think it's
00:52:28.640 more likely
00:52:29.020 you'll be
00:52:29.440 nice to
00:52:33.800 I'm not
00:52:34.260 making a
00:52:34.560 big thing
00:52:35.440 about it.
00:52:35.820 I'm just
00:52:36.020 saying there's
00:52:36.360 some correlation.
00:52:38.580 Mr. Torius
00:52:39.320 say, from
00:52:39.780 London, UK,
00:52:40.480 love your
00:52:40.820 work, Rebel
00:52:41.840 News, especially
00:52:42.720 what you're
00:52:43.000 doing for
00:52:43.240 Tommy Robinson.
00:52:43.920 Also, I
00:52:44.260 hope you
00:52:44.700 win your
00:52:45.100 case against
00:52:45.600 that freak
00:52:46.040 Jane,
00:52:46.660 Yanniv.
00:52:47.900 Well, Yanniv
00:52:48.580 was supposed
00:52:48.840 to have a
00:52:49.460 hearing in
00:52:50.400 Vancouver
00:52:50.920 today, but
00:52:51.400 I think they
00:52:51.960 shut down
00:52:52.420 all the
00:52:52.700 courts.
00:52:53.680 I think
00:52:53.940 they shut
00:52:54.280 down the
00:52:54.600 courts in
00:52:55.200 most Canadian
00:52:55.980 jurisdictions,
00:52:56.800 except for
00:52:57.220 emergency
00:52:57.760 matters.
00:52:59.800 Aubrey,
00:53:00.720 Ezra, can
00:53:01.200 you shed
00:53:01.520 some light on
00:53:02.100 the rumor or
00:53:02.560 fact that
00:53:02.940 Trudeau and
00:53:03.320 Sophia split
00:53:03.960 and she's
00:53:04.440 leaving him?
00:53:04.900 Is this
00:53:05.140 possibly true
00:53:05.760 or is it
00:53:06.040 false?
00:53:06.580 I have no
00:53:07.140 information
00:53:07.700 about that.
00:53:09.740 Carbon
00:53:10.060 unit
00:53:10.640 deal, $1.
00:53:11.740 Thank you.
00:53:13.040 It is true
00:53:13.820 that they're
00:53:14.140 rarely seen
00:53:14.660 together and
00:53:15.680 they often
00:53:16.860 travel apart
00:53:17.680 and sometimes
00:53:18.260 she doesn't
00:53:18.600 wear a wedding
00:53:19.000 ring, but I
00:53:19.940 don't have any
00:53:20.380 information other
00:53:21.560 than what I
00:53:21.960 just told you.
00:53:23.200 Cindy McSeven,
00:53:24.280 $20.
00:53:24.860 God bless you,
00:53:25.320 Ezra and
00:53:25.580 Rebel.
00:53:25.860 I guess Trump
00:53:26.320 called Trudeau
00:53:26.980 and said,
00:53:27.500 you don't
00:53:27.700 close your
00:53:28.080 borders.
00:53:28.320 We will.
00:53:28.800 I told
00:53:29.140 Trudeau
00:53:29.460 all weekend.
00:53:30.340 He didn't
00:53:30.700 block me.
00:53:31.120 Laugh out
00:53:31.540 loud.
00:53:32.400 Yeah, I
00:53:32.940 mean, look,
00:53:33.700 it's, I
00:53:34.540 don't even
00:53:34.820 know if it's
00:53:35.200 possible to
00:53:35.700 close the
00:53:36.060 border between
00:53:36.720 Canada and
00:53:37.100 the United
00:53:37.260 States.
00:53:37.520 First of all,
00:53:37.820 it's the
00:53:37.980 world's longest
00:53:38.540 undefended
00:53:38.960 border.
00:53:40.720 I don't know.
00:53:42.060 It would be a
00:53:43.180 disaster for our
00:53:43.900 economy and
00:53:44.400 you would think
00:53:44.920 that, Ezra,
00:53:46.900 you're glad you
00:53:47.280 didn't go through
00:53:47.980 that coffin
00:53:48.580 cruise ship.
00:53:49.320 We canceled our
00:53:50.200 cruise.
00:53:50.560 I didn't want
00:53:51.040 to do it because
00:53:51.560 I was really
00:53:51.920 looking forward to
00:53:53.340 the cruise.
00:53:54.060 We had people
00:53:54.580 signed up, but
00:53:55.140 you can't tell
00:53:56.500 people to go on
00:53:57.140 a cruise with
00:53:57.880 this hanging in
00:53:59.540 the air, so
00:54:00.120 unfortunately we
00:54:00.840 canceled our
00:54:01.280 cruise and we
00:54:01.640 had one other
00:54:02.120 event overseas
00:54:04.480 that we canceled
00:54:05.380 as well.
00:54:05.860 I'm sorry, but
00:54:06.420 hopefully we'll
00:54:06.780 have a chance
00:54:07.140 to do those
00:54:07.460 again.
00:54:09.420 Calvin Art,
00:54:10.080 did True
00:54:10.360 North get into
00:54:10.880 JD's pressure?
00:54:11.720 I don't know
00:54:12.360 if they applied,
00:54:13.180 but I doubt
00:54:14.220 they would.
00:54:15.880 Natalia,
00:54:16.320 13 Monkeys,
00:54:17.000 good film.
00:54:17.420 I think you
00:54:17.780 mean 12
00:54:18.080 Monkeys.
00:54:18.540 Maybe there's
00:54:19.220 a sequel called
00:54:19.800 13.
00:54:20.180 I really like
00:54:20.860 12 Monkeys.
00:54:26.000 Send Keen
00:54:26.640 back to
00:54:27.040 Roxham for an
00:54:27.740 update, says
00:54:29.060 Ray Lynn.
00:54:29.440 That's a good
00:54:29.740 idea.
00:54:30.040 I'll ask him.
00:54:30.840 to go there.
00:54:31.620 I think he did a
00:54:32.060 great job.
00:54:32.640 I just want to
00:54:33.100 see if that
00:54:33.580 Roxham Road is
00:54:34.180 closed.
00:54:34.800 I think people
00:54:35.480 would expect it
00:54:36.140 to be, but I
00:54:37.660 am quite sure
00:54:38.380 it's not.
00:54:40.380 Well, folks,
00:54:41.040 we've been going
00:54:41.540 for about half an
00:54:42.440 hour, and I
00:54:43.780 covered some
00:54:44.300 ground.
00:54:44.780 I hope you
00:54:45.140 thought it was
00:54:45.580 useful.
00:54:46.420 Any other
00:54:46.980 questions, put
00:54:47.760 them now.
00:54:48.340 I'll take a
00:54:48.760 quick glance if
00:54:49.640 anything interesting
00:54:50.260 pops up.
00:54:51.220 Otherwise, I
00:54:52.260 think I'm going
00:54:53.440 to say goodbye
00:54:54.420 for now.
00:54:54.780 And I'm still
00:54:57.040 on the road
00:54:57.480 tomorrow, but I
00:54:58.140 will do my
00:54:58.540 best to be
00:54:59.080 back in
00:54:59.560 studio on
00:55:00.740 Wednesday.
00:55:10.080 Well, folks,
00:55:11.040 here's my final
00:55:12.060 thought on the
00:55:13.060 coronavirus, and
00:55:14.000 it's this.
00:55:14.560 I simply do
00:55:15.780 not trust the
00:55:16.760 people in Ottawa
00:55:17.500 to protect public
00:55:18.620 safety.
00:55:18.960 safety, and
00:55:19.500 that is why
00:55:20.280 when these
00:55:21.100 so-called new
00:55:22.180 public safety
00:55:23.040 measures get
00:55:24.240 enacted on
00:55:24.920 Wednesday, I'm
00:55:26.260 going to be
00:55:26.640 visiting Pearson
00:55:27.660 International Airport
00:55:28.680 in Toronto.
00:55:29.420 I'm going to
00:55:30.020 see if anything
00:55:31.440 has truly
00:55:32.820 changed on
00:55:34.040 this front, and
00:55:35.480 when I do that
00:55:36.080 report, please
00:55:37.520 tune in to
00:55:38.260 Rebel News and
00:55:39.460 see what I
00:55:40.400 find out come
00:55:41.340 Wednesday.
00:55:42.280 Thanks so much
00:55:43.100 for tuning in.
00:55:44.580 Ezra Levent will
00:55:45.240 be back later
00:55:46.000 this week.
00:55:46.520 He's currently on
00:55:47.340 assignment.
00:55:47.760 and thank you
00:55:49.260 for viewing.
