Summary

This week, I speak to a 17-year-old from California who was doxed by his classmates for supporting President Trump and turned that into a huge social media account with over 100,000 followers on Insta where he posts clips about things like affirmative action and cultural appropriation. He also has a hilarious fake progressive page with a lot of viral posts like one that actually says why you should let your girlfriend cheat on you and it gives crazy social justice reasoning on why that should happen.

00:00:00.000 This week I spoke to Gen Z viral commentator Vince Dow.
00:00:18.920 He's a 17-year-old from California who was doxed by his classmates for supporting Trump
00:00:23.840 and he's turned that into a huge social media following.
00:00:26.220 At the Vince Dow is up to almost 100,000 followers on Instagram where he posts some pretty good clips
00:00:32.140 about stuff like affirmative action, cultural appropriation, and you'll get to hear some of that in this interview.
00:00:38.040 He's also got this hilarious fake progressive page with a lot of viral posts like one actually says
00:00:43.720 why you should let your girlfriend cheat on you and it gives this crazy social justice reasoning on why you should do that.
00:00:50.120 Basically he fakes being super liberal and people believe it and they spread these pictures around freaking out about it.
00:00:55.160 You'll only get that part on Rebel News Plus though so if you want to get the full unedited version

00:01:28.120 Don't forget to follow me on Twitter at andrewsaysTV
00:01:30.320 and Parler is back up so go back to Parler and follow me and Rebel News on there too.
00:01:35.360 Thank you.
00:01:35.760 Keep in mind this took place before any of the major riots.
00:01:39.520 Before anyone started looting Target and setting auto zones on fire
00:01:42.260 literally the entire country right and left was on board
00:01:45.420 and against what happened to George Floyd and thought it was murder.
00:01:48.240 So when you say you weren't being heard being heard by who exactly?
00:01:51.500 So you can imagine my surprise when I got older
00:01:53.500 and found out that I am discriminated against
00:01:56.240 on the basis of my skin color and college admissions.
00:01:58.920 Why?
00:01:59.720 Because I'm Asian.
00:02:01.540 Wait what?
00:02:02.260 So I've been getting some heat about my video on the name of Kansas City Chiefs.
00:02:07.380 This person says well no other race or ethnic group in their culture
00:02:11.220 is culturally accepted as mascots.
00:02:13.800 But dude literally what are you talking about?
00:02:16.780 Minnesota Vikings, Boston Celtics, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints.
00:02:22.840 And lastly did you know that President Trump and Republicans
00:02:25.140 are currently considering a bill that basically overturned the Equal Pay Act
00:02:29.380 and sort of allow like men to be paid more than women if they want?
00:02:34.060 What is your opinion on that?
00:02:36.260 That's sick and that's twisted and I don't understand why
00:02:40.300 I'm going to use you as an example
00:02:41.900 why this would be better than this or this would be
00:02:45.260 Did you just assume my gender?
00:02:47.040 Superior.
00:02:47.820 I did, I'm sorry.
00:02:48.720 Vince Dow is a political commentator.
00:02:58.560 He was rated in Newsweek Magazine's top 12 conservative up-and-comers
00:03:02.360 and you can find him on Twitter and Instagram
00:03:04.740 at TheVinceDow and Vince Dow on YouTube.
00:03:07.820 Vince, thanks for joining me.
00:03:08.900 How are you today?
00:03:10.520 Good.
00:03:11.000 I'm great.
00:03:11.400 How are you doing?
00:03:12.120 I'm doing pretty good, man.
00:03:13.160 It's been a while since we spoke
00:03:14.540 but why I brought you on is because I think more people
00:03:16.880 especially young people need to see the type of stuff you're doing
00:03:19.600 and frankly see how popular your stuff has become
00:03:23.120 especially on stuff like TikTok and Instagram.
00:03:26.000 Now, first and foremost, I think the first thing I saw related to you
00:03:30.000 was you were harassed by your schoolmates basically for your views
00:03:33.640 and you actually spoke to my guy, I'll call him Will Witt about it
00:03:38.180 so I want to show that video of you talking to Will Witt
00:03:41.400 and then I wanted to get you to elaborate on exactly what happened after that.
00:03:45.400 Can we get to that, Justin?
00:03:47.480 But some people at your school, or I believe they were at your school
00:03:51.480 and they didn't really like you very much
00:03:53.900 and they took some action.
00:03:56.020 What happened to you?
00:03:57.720 Okay, so I guess we'll start from the top.
00:03:59.440 So obviously, as we know, the rioting, I mean,
00:04:02.860 it might seem like common sense to older people
00:04:04.820 that rioting and looting is bad
00:04:06.620 but to my generation, it's really not.
00:04:08.960 Like, to be quite frank with you, a lot of leftists,
00:04:11.560 if I generation, are okay with all the terrorism
00:04:14.560 and the violence happening in our streets right now.
00:04:16.540 And all I've basically been saying,
00:04:18.400 I actually think this is the least controversial I've ever been in my life,
00:04:20.900 or my political life at least.
00:04:22.380 All I've basically been saying is that this looting is bad,
00:04:25.120 this rioting is bad,
00:04:26.240 it's especially bad for communities of color,
00:04:28.000 and I've just been condemning it.
00:04:30.720 And then starting, like, last week,
00:04:33.340 this group of kids from my school just started mobbing me.
00:04:36.020 Like, I don't even know who these kids are.
00:04:37.600 Like, they don't even share classes with me.
00:04:38.840 I barely know them.
00:04:39.540 Like, I see them around school sometimes,
00:04:40.780 but I don't really know who these kids are.
00:04:42.060 They started mobbing me, harassing me.
00:04:44.260 Like, they called me all these names,
00:04:46.240 and don't get me wrong, I can take name-calling, right?
00:04:48.420 It's just whatever.
00:04:49.120 But they spread false sexual rumors about me with another girl,
00:04:54.120 and that other girl got very, like, hurt by what happened,
00:04:56.780 you know, with all that, too.
00:04:58.000 And she was like, what the hell's going on here?
00:05:00.960 And it just kept escalating.
00:05:02.500 And the thing is, I never even provoke them.
00:05:04.260 I never insult them.
00:05:05.140 In fact, they don't even follow me.
00:05:06.480 So that means they've just been stalking me
00:05:08.140 and just leaving all this hate on my post.
00:05:10.040 And you look at some of their Twitter feeds,
00:05:11.580 their entire Twitter feeds are dedicated to me, just to me.
00:05:14.040 Like, they're just tweeting about me
00:05:15.260 and just saying all these things about me.
00:05:17.020 Now, this is a really weird age we're living in, Vince,
00:05:19.880 where people are now picking on each other
00:05:21.980 for their political views.
00:05:24.540 And there's a bunch of tweets that you showed in the past
00:05:27.320 when this was happening.
00:05:29.320 We've got one where they're saying the email,
00:05:31.940 Dr. Guy or whoever this professor is.
00:05:34.660 And one of them also mentions how you were number one in your class
00:05:38.100 and your classmates didn't like what you were saying.
00:05:40.600 What was it exactly that they didn't like
00:05:42.400 that caused this reaction?
00:05:43.420 So I, to be honest, don't know exactly what it was,
00:05:49.100 mainly because they don't really know what it was.
00:05:51.140 Like, they just don't comprehend stuff and things.
00:05:54.580 So they just knew that I was a conservative
00:05:56.860 and that I was speaking out against BLM
00:05:59.200 and especially speaking out against the rioting
00:06:01.600 and looting and just destruction
00:06:03.180 of all the foundations of Western civilization
00:06:05.540 that were occurring last summer.
00:06:06.940 And that was enough for them.
00:06:07.880 You know, they really didn't have anything in specific
00:06:11.580 where they were like, this is what you said wrong
00:06:14.000 or, you know, this is the video
00:06:16.400 where we were really pissed at.
00:06:17.680 They just knew, like, I have these views
00:06:19.640 and were just attacking me for that.
00:06:21.640 And I don't really know.
00:06:22.880 And I don't think they really know
00:06:23.840 because we're not the brightest kids.
00:06:26.100 But, you know.
00:06:26.780 So did it stop there after it was publicized?
00:06:29.520 Did the school do anything about it?
00:06:31.240 What was the aftermath about that?
00:06:32.780 And then we'll get to the video
00:06:34.220 that I think set them off.
00:06:36.720 Okay.
00:06:38.420 So the school, so luckily, at least for me,
00:06:42.000 I was at least relieved that the school
00:06:43.980 didn't take action against me
00:06:45.420 because that was what I was honestly,
00:06:47.140 because you know how public schools are.
00:06:49.100 That was honestly what I was more worried about.
00:06:50.580 Like, I knew retribution for these kids
00:06:52.760 wouldn't happen, like, to any extent,
00:06:54.800 except for the kid who had school who doxxed me.
00:06:56.320 He actually got in trouble with the school district.
00:06:59.640 And I don't know how that ended,
00:07:01.160 but I just know it was pretty bad for him.
00:07:04.000 But I was very, at least, pleased
00:07:06.000 that the school basically sat me down
00:07:08.340 and told me, like, no, we're not going to
00:07:11.500 and we can't, you know, punish you
00:07:13.040 for your political views.
00:07:14.060 That's your free speech.
00:07:15.400 And if you're the valedictorian
00:07:17.560 by the end of next year,
00:07:19.080 then you're going to make the speech regardless.
00:07:20.500 So I was at least pleased to see that happen.
00:07:23.200 Okay.
00:07:23.500 And then for anyone who thinks
00:07:24.900 maybe, you know, Vince is a young guy.
00:07:27.600 He's probably not telling the full story here.
00:07:30.740 I want to play what your vitriolic
00:07:34.160 and hateful comments were about rioting.
00:07:36.660 Let's go to that.
00:07:37.900 So a lot of people who have been defending riots
00:07:39.920 have been saying it's the only way we can be heard.
00:07:42.660 Really?
00:07:43.340 Rioting was the only way for you to be heard?
00:07:45.200 Is that why within hours of the incident
00:07:47.020 reaching the national spotlight,
00:07:48.240 the city of Minneapolis was already neck deep
00:07:50.580 into an investigation of the incident
00:07:52.040 and all four cops were fired
00:07:53.980 and the president of the United States
00:07:56.420 ordered the FBI and the Department of Justice
00:07:58.980 to get involved in the case at an expedited rate
00:08:02.140 and make it their top priority,
00:08:04.140 which is highly unprecedented and rare
00:08:06.820 for an incident of that small scale
00:08:08.520 at such a local level.
00:08:10.160 Really?
00:08:11.180 Keep in mind, this took place
00:08:12.400 before any of the major riots.
00:08:14.240 Before anyone started looting Target
00:08:15.800 and setting auto zones on fire,
00:08:17.180 literally the entire country,
00:08:18.780 right and left, was on board
00:08:20.140 and against what happened to George Floyd
00:08:21.640 and thought it was murder.
00:08:22.580 So when you say you weren't being heard,
00:08:24.760 being heard by who exactly?
00:08:26.320 Because literally everyone,
00:08:27.740 including the president of the United States,
00:08:29.280 the highest person in the land,
00:08:30.920 was literally condemning what happened.
00:08:32.740 Now you guys have distracted the attention
00:08:34.600 away from George Floyd and on yourselves.
00:08:37.420 Now that's what I think happens
00:08:39.020 in a lot of these things, Vince,
00:08:40.380 and I wanted to get your opinion on that.
00:08:41.980 Does a lot of this come back to,
00:08:43.540 I want the attention?
00:08:46.120 It's not even about what happened there.
00:08:48.960 No matter how Trump reacts,
00:08:50.900 we need a reason to be mad at him.
00:08:52.860 Is it more of a,
00:08:53.940 I mean, you're around these people
00:08:55.660 every single day, I'd imagine,
00:08:57.640 if your school's open right now.
00:08:58.980 Is it a heightened level
00:09:01.060 of self-sense of worth, so to speak?
00:09:04.420 Yeah, well, you know,
00:09:05.340 it's, people do this,
00:09:07.120 kids do this to seek validation
00:09:08.640 from other kids, right?
00:09:09.700 It's sort of a virtue signal thing.
00:09:12.240 And I actually, I heard a great example
00:09:14.300 of this, which is that,
00:09:16.040 but it was on the issue of masks,
00:09:17.520 but it's sort of a great comparison,
00:09:19.000 which is people see this stuff
00:09:21.540 as nothing important
00:09:23.420 other than a social status, right?
00:09:26.260 Sort of a social virtue.
00:09:27.440 And I think that's what you see
00:09:28.540 these kids doing.
00:09:29.960 It's like once people got on board
00:09:32.800 to attack me
00:09:33.460 and once it was popular to attack me,
00:09:35.160 then you see a bunch of other kids
00:09:36.700 getting on board with this stuff.
00:09:38.200 These kids don't know politics.
00:09:39.580 They don't know what they're talking about,
00:09:40.980 you know, but they just know
00:09:42.260 it's what these other kids are doing.
00:09:43.640 And they'll get more popular.
00:09:45.780 They'll get these positive comments,
00:09:47.140 like people saying,
00:09:47.860 yes, slay queen.
00:09:49.280 Oh my God, you're amazing, Emily, right?
00:09:51.760 They want to seek that validation
00:09:54.080 from their peers
00:09:54.780 and this is how they can get it.
00:09:56.820 So it's just overall just sheet mentality.
00:09:59.320 And I think it goes deeper
00:10:01.300 to a problem in my generation,
00:10:02.780 which is, you know,
00:10:04.460 because we live in sort of such like
00:10:06.240 this progressive secular,
00:10:08.680 you could say society at this point,
00:10:10.200 like in our history, right?
00:10:11.800 A lot of kids have a hard time
00:10:13.680 really finding like deeper meaning
00:10:15.840 and finding validation.
00:10:17.280 So they seek for shallow,
00:10:20.140 just dumb ways to like sort of feel
00:10:22.960 like they're important
00:10:23.580 and you see it in stuff like this.
00:10:25.800 For sure.
00:10:26.720 And it's always the Emily's that gets you.
00:10:29.540 Not a lot of people are talking about
00:10:31.320 or have continued to talk about
00:10:32.760 this next subject
00:10:33.680 and it's affirmative action,
00:10:35.980 especially as it pertains to Asians,
00:10:38.740 which I assume you are identifying as.
00:10:40.940 But I identify as a black woman.
00:10:44.580 OK, I'm glad we got that out in the open.
00:10:46.980 That's the 24th Native American.
00:10:48.560 That's fair.
00:10:49.160 That's fair.
00:10:49.520 And that's actually part
00:10:50.400 of what I'm going to show next.
00:10:51.640 It actually has to do.
00:10:53.180 And I know this happened in Harvard.
00:10:54.880 So I want to get your thoughts on it
00:10:56.000 about where you are,
00:10:56.980 where it's grading Asian students
00:10:58.240 on a curve when they're trying
00:10:59.360 to get into college or university.
00:11:01.540 And you gave a speech about this
00:11:04.240 at a rally last summer.
00:11:06.380 So I want to show a clip of that
00:11:07.520 and give us the broader context
00:11:09.260 after we see this.
00:11:10.240 But back then,
00:11:11.360 and a long time ago called 2012,
00:11:14.000 seems like a long time ago to me,
00:11:15.840 I was taught in school
00:11:16.900 that it was wrong
00:11:18.220 to treat people differently
00:11:19.460 on the basis of their skin color.
00:11:22.540 So you could imagine,
00:11:24.120 so you could imagine my surprise
00:11:26.100 when I got older
00:11:26.940 and found out that I am discriminated against
00:11:29.660 on the basis of my skin color
00:11:31.160 in college admissions.
00:11:32.240 Why?
00:11:33.140 Because I'm Asian.
00:11:34.960 Wait, what?
00:11:36.620 So, okay,
00:11:37.140 so my first approach,
00:11:39.080 my first thought
00:11:39.700 was the pragmatic thing.
00:11:41.040 Like, maybe how can I get around it?
00:11:43.420 So I was thinking to myself,
00:11:44.340 okay, so maybe I can pull
00:11:45.160 out Elizabeth Warren, right?
00:11:48.320 I mean, hey,
00:11:49.140 she's done pretty well for herself
00:11:51.100 based off of lying
00:11:52.640 about her race to colleges, okay?
00:11:54.620 So, you know,
00:11:55.080 maybe I'm one in 1024th Cherokee, too.
00:11:57.040 Okay?
00:11:57.240 If that's what it takes
00:11:58.500 to get a job at Harvard Law School
00:12:01.040 and make a bunch of money,
00:12:02.660 I think we're all one in 1024th
00:12:04.340 related to Elizabeth Warren, right?
00:12:06.500 So, I see you've memorized that joke now.
00:12:10.140 So what is the system in your district?
00:12:12.140 I noticed you did reference Harvard there.
00:12:14.400 How does the grading actually work?
00:12:15.860 Because when most people
00:12:16.580 think of affirmative action,
00:12:17.740 they think helping black people
00:12:19.300 get into a school
00:12:20.120 that normally couldn't afford.
00:12:21.520 I think that's how the layman
00:12:22.700 would normally interpret that.
00:12:24.320 So how does the grading on a scale
00:12:26.340 work against Asian applicants?
00:12:30.460 Well, you're talking about
00:12:31.760 like college admissions, basically, right?
00:12:33.420 Yeah.
00:12:34.220 Yeah.
00:12:34.660 So when you apply to every base,
00:12:38.920 they technically say
00:12:40.160 there's no racial quotas,
00:12:41.240 but there clearly are.
00:12:42.260 When you apply to colleges
00:12:44.240 and universities,
00:12:44.860 and I would argue this is even
00:12:46.220 just in blatant violation
00:12:47.720 of 1964 Civil Rights Act,
00:12:49.680 but most universities in America
00:12:52.200 outright will say
00:12:54.140 that we consider race and ethnicity
00:12:56.260 as a factor in your admissions process.
00:12:59.000 And you notice that this never works out
00:13:00.480 in the favor of Asians, right?
00:13:01.840 It hurts whites, obviously,
00:13:03.900 but it actually hurts Asians the most.
00:13:05.640 And the core reason behind this
00:13:07.720 is because Asians are,
00:13:11.460 they're called the inconvenient minority
00:13:13.560 for a reason, right?
00:13:15.560 This Asians as basically existence
00:13:18.420 in Western society,
00:13:19.640 debunk every argument
00:13:21.160 of white privilege,
00:13:22.740 white supremacy,
00:13:23.660 white power structure, right?
00:13:24.780 Because you look at this,
00:13:26.300 Asians are,
00:13:27.620 despite being a minority group
00:13:28.780 and a minority group historically
00:13:29.920 that's not been treated well
00:13:30.920 in America or in the West,
00:13:33.560 have the highest income
00:13:34.960 out of any ethnic group, right?
00:13:36.540 They get the best SAT scores,
00:13:38.480 best grades in school, right?
00:13:39.580 And so as a result of this,
00:13:43.340 in the university system,
00:13:45.700 Asians get treated the worst, right?
00:13:47.480 Because it's hard for us too
00:13:49.120 because we're such a small percentage
00:13:50.380 of the U.S. population.
00:13:51.960 So they try to keep it,
00:13:53.000 oh, we got a quota,
00:13:54.080 like, because there's not
00:13:55.180 a lot of Asians out there.
00:13:56.560 The thing is,
00:13:57.200 when you look at who is scoring
00:13:58.840 the best on all this stuff,
00:13:59.840 most of the time it's Asians.
00:14:00.980 And so as a result,
00:14:02.640 Asians just get the worst
00:14:04.080 of all this, right?
00:14:04.780 Like, they, we get,
00:14:08.080 it's like 10 times hard.
00:14:10.620 I think there've been
00:14:11.160 studies and research done,
00:14:12.740 like, Asians have to score
00:14:13.700 150 points higher SAT
00:14:16.060 to be treated the same
00:14:17.080 as a black student, right?
00:14:18.340 So we basically have to face
00:14:21.100 straight up systemic racism
00:14:22.140 in America.
00:14:22.720 And yet none of us
00:14:23.560 complain about it
00:14:24.360 because as our parents
00:14:26.980 always tell us,
00:14:27.540 it's our fault that we fail.
00:14:29.480 What I'm confused about
00:14:31.180 is how is it decided
00:14:32.240 which Asians?
00:14:33.660 Because if you're taking
00:14:35.220 somebody who's from Japan,
00:14:37.260 that's a much richer country
00:14:38.480 than a Loatian
00:14:40.100 or somebody from Vietnam.
00:14:43.080 Are they classifying
00:14:43.900 all Asians as one?
00:14:46.140 I mean, in the UK,
00:14:46.820 they call people
00:14:48.160 from the Middle East
00:14:48.900 Asians sometimes.
00:14:50.100 Is there any denominations
00:14:52.000 of type of Asian countries?
00:14:53.780 Or are we just, again,
00:14:54.900 swathing people?
00:14:56.720 In an attempt to be unracist,
00:14:59.080 we're now swathing
00:14:59.920 an entire continent of people
00:15:01.700 into one category.
00:15:03.660 Does that make sense?
00:15:05.140 Yeah.
00:15:05.520 From my understanding,
00:15:08.020 because when you apply
00:15:09.060 to college,
00:15:09.940 you just put down your race,
00:15:11.440 right?
00:15:11.560 Not your ethnicity necessarily.
00:15:13.000 So usually just your race.
00:15:14.440 And so, yes,
00:15:15.280 you're absolutely right.
00:15:16.780 In most cases,
00:15:18.100 unless you have
00:15:19.460 a specific question,
00:15:20.380 but I don't think
00:15:20.840 all schools do.
00:15:21.540 In most cases,
00:15:22.920 Cambodian, right?
00:15:25.280 Someone who comes
00:15:26.040 from a much poorer country
00:15:27.700 than like some,
00:15:28.740 you know,
00:15:29.360 like you said,
00:15:30.020 a South Korean
00:15:30.760 or someone from Japan,
00:15:32.360 right?
00:15:33.160 They ultimately
00:15:34.120 get treated equally.
00:15:35.160 Yes.
00:15:35.740 And, you know,
00:15:36.600 it's pretty racist
00:15:38.000 when you think about it.
00:15:39.040 But the left does this a lot,
00:15:40.460 if you notice.
00:15:41.140 They will lump entire races
00:15:43.540 that are very actually diverse
00:15:45.120 and different into one group.
00:15:46.400 And you see this like,
00:15:47.500 you know,
00:15:47.760 with Native Americans, right?
00:15:48.920 It's like you're talking
00:15:49.900 about a very diverse
00:15:51.660 group of people,
00:15:52.980 so many different tribes,
00:15:54.320 basically across the country.
00:15:55.900 They all have
00:15:56.180 these different cultures.
00:15:56.920 And yet you notice
00:15:57.860 for the purpose
00:15:58.380 of social justice,
00:15:59.220 it's all lumped
00:16:00.300 into this one singular
00:16:01.640 conglomerate
00:16:02.680 where like it's all the same.
00:16:03.820 And I guess the same thing
00:16:04.640 is true of Asians, right?
00:16:06.640 They're all,
00:16:07.320 you know what?
00:16:08.100 Since on average,
00:16:08.860 they all make more money
00:16:09.920 than the whites,
00:16:10.880 let's all treat them the same.
00:16:13.020 Of course.
00:16:13.720 And you mentioned
00:16:14.200 cultural appropriation there.
00:16:15.820 I want to get into that with you
00:16:19.060 because this is something
00:16:19.740 that you've been attacked for.
00:16:21.140 Again,
00:16:21.440 it seems like you've been
00:16:22.040 attacked for everything
00:16:22.800 at this point
00:16:23.400 and you're already so young.
00:16:25.180 Specifically,
00:16:25.760 this was pertaining
00:16:26.660 to sports mascots.
00:16:29.460 And you had a really good video
00:16:31.200 about this, I thought.
00:16:33.640 And this comes close to home
00:16:35.240 here in Canada.
00:16:36.740 And so I want to play that
00:16:37.940 and then we'll maybe have
00:16:39.220 a meeting of the minds on that.
00:16:40.440 Go ahead and play that one, Justin.
00:16:42.080 So I've been getting some heat
00:16:43.340 about my video on the name
00:16:44.760 Kansas City Chiefs.
00:16:46.260 This person says,
00:16:47.300 well, no other race
00:16:48.480 or ethnic group
00:16:49.300 in their culture
00:16:50.140 is culturally accepted
00:16:51.480 as mascots.
00:16:52.700 But dude,
00:16:53.500 literally,
00:16:54.200 what are you talking about?
00:16:55.680 Minnesota Vikings,
00:16:57.180 Boston Celtics,
00:16:58.960 Dallas Cowboys,
00:17:00.460 New Orleans Saints.
00:17:02.040 Oh, and let's go down
00:17:02.840 to college mascots too.
00:17:04.520 USC Trojans,
00:17:06.000 UCF Knights,
00:17:07.860 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
00:17:10.260 I'm surprised nobody
00:17:11.080 has called this mascot racist yet,
00:17:12.900 but it's probably
00:17:13.300 because it's a white guy.
00:17:14.140 Oklahoma Sooners,
00:17:16.060 UCSB Gauchos,
00:17:18.080 UPenn Quakers,
00:17:19.860 Louisiana Monroe Raging Cajuns,
00:17:22.600 West Virginia Mountaineers.
00:17:24.400 If you want to consider
00:17:25.420 Aztecs separately,
00:17:26.980 San Diego State Aztecs.
00:17:28.420 And no,
00:17:28.860 the name Chiefs
00:17:29.600 is not mocking
00:17:30.640 Native American culture.
00:17:32.140 Chiefs are people
00:17:32.880 of power,
00:17:33.700 wisdom,
00:17:33.900 and strength.
00:17:34.660 It's a positive representation.
00:17:36.300 Nor is it different
00:17:37.120 from any of these mascots.
00:17:39.260 You know,
00:17:39.940 I was just writing down
00:17:40.840 during that,
00:17:41.320 the ones that you
00:17:42.020 didn't mention
00:17:42.780 as in Washington Redskins,
00:17:44.880 obviously,
00:17:45.260 now Washington football team.
00:17:47.020 Syracuse Orangemen had to
00:17:48.300 change their team to Orange.
00:17:49.720 And I completely forgot about
00:17:51.920 all these college team names.
00:17:54.720 Now,
00:17:55.120 what happened up here was
00:17:56.420 there's a football team
00:17:57.560 in the terrible,
00:17:58.940 terrible Canadian football league
00:18:00.360 called the Edmonton Eskimos.
00:18:02.080 And they actually changed
00:18:03.040 their name recently
00:18:03.820 because it was too offensive.
00:18:05.000 Their sponsor of their stadium
00:18:06.320 thought it was offensive.
00:18:07.760 But when they polled people
00:18:09.380 who are Inuits,
00:18:10.820 so Natives from like
00:18:12.120 the really cold climates
00:18:13.340 in Canada,
00:18:13.920 78% of them
00:18:15.140 were against the name change.
00:18:17.180 And when they created
00:18:17.980 the name
00:18:18.440 the Edmonton Eskimos,
00:18:20.180 it was actually
00:18:20.740 in conjunction
00:18:21.460 with the very tribe
00:18:22.580 that they were naming
00:18:23.220 it after them.
00:18:23.940 So they've had a close
00:18:24.880 relationship with
00:18:25.720 that same tribe.
00:18:26.900 My question to you is,
00:18:28.200 what is the reaction
00:18:29.100 from people
00:18:29.820 when you point out
00:18:30.860 that there's,
00:18:31.980 geez,
00:18:32.600 50 other teams
00:18:34.400 for about other ethnicities
00:18:35.740 and then they're complaining
00:18:36.780 about the Kansas City Chiefs
00:18:38.660 or the Redskins?
00:18:40.040 They always try to make
00:18:41.300 some type of excuse for it.
00:18:42.600 So let's go over
00:18:43.160 some of the excuses
00:18:43.900 they make.
00:18:44.720 Number one,
00:18:45.420 they'll say things like,
00:18:47.260 well,
00:18:49.900 the Knights
00:18:50.680 are not an ethnic group.
00:18:52.680 And my response to that
00:18:54.120 is the Chiefs
00:18:55.060 are not an ethnic group
00:18:55.960 either, right?
00:18:56.880 Because they said
00:18:57.980 these things.
00:18:58.380 Like you said Knights,
00:18:59.380 Trojans,
00:19:00.020 those are cowboys.
00:19:01.320 Those are not races.
00:19:02.280 Those are not ethnic groups.
00:19:03.080 I'm like, dude,
00:19:04.100 Kansas City Chiefs
00:19:05.100 is the same thing.
00:19:06.300 It's a role
00:19:07.200 in Native American society
00:19:08.480 that some people held
00:19:09.560 and it's kind of like
00:19:10.200 a cultural reference, right?
00:19:11.440 Same story,
00:19:12.180 same exact story
00:19:12.940 with Knights.
00:19:14.080 That's a role
00:19:14.980 traditionally
00:19:15.460 that was held
00:19:16.180 in past European
00:19:17.500 white societies
00:19:18.360 that is a cultural reference.
00:19:20.200 So that's the one thing.
00:19:21.620 The other thing
00:19:22.140 is they tell me
00:19:22.760 that I have
00:19:23.820 just no authority
00:19:24.920 whatsoever
00:19:25.380 to speak on the issue
00:19:26.840 of Native American issues
00:19:27.960 because I'm not Native American
00:19:29.200 to which my response
00:19:30.080 is I'm actually
00:19:30.780 one in 1024th Native American,
00:19:32.560 okay?
00:19:32.960 And my evidence
00:19:33.860 to that is
00:19:34.420 my grandma
00:19:37.060 told me
00:19:37.480 I had high cheekbones
00:19:38.360 and I published
00:19:39.860 a Pow Wow Chow
00:19:41.140 cookbook, right?
00:19:42.420 Wait,
00:19:42.720 did Elizabeth Warren
00:19:43.720 have a Native cookbook
00:19:45.460 or did you make that up?
00:19:47.580 No,
00:19:48.080 that is actually
00:19:49.400 something she did.
00:19:50.120 Oh my God,
00:19:50.300 we're going to have
00:19:50.640 to put that up
00:19:51.500 on screen.
00:19:53.080 You can Google that.
00:19:55.900 And then,
00:19:56.440 you know,
00:19:56.680 another argument
00:19:57.420 I guess I hear
00:19:58.220 is that
00:19:58.940 it's offensive,
00:20:01.380 right?
00:20:01.680 It's an offensive appropriation.
00:20:03.240 And I'm like,
00:20:04.960 I guess I can kind of
00:20:06.960 understand the Redskins
00:20:07.900 although I'm against
00:20:08.600 changing any of those names
00:20:09.780 because literally
00:20:10.480 once they start
00:20:11.200 realizing they have
00:20:12.180 the power to change names
00:20:13.060 they're going to change everything
00:20:13.920 and I'd rather not.
00:20:16.660 But you're talking
00:20:17.840 about chiefs here.
00:20:18.800 You know,
00:20:19.120 that is a positive representation.
00:20:20.940 Chiefs are the leaders
00:20:21.900 of these societies.
00:20:23.080 Chiefs are,
00:20:23.580 you know,
00:20:24.580 people of power
00:20:25.540 and wisdom
00:20:26.080 and strength.
00:20:26.900 How much better
00:20:27.540 can you get from that?
00:20:28.340 I mean,
00:20:28.620 I don't understand
00:20:29.580 what these people
00:20:30.120 really want
00:20:30.580 and I think
00:20:31.180 you made a great point
00:20:31.880 about the Edmonton Eskimos.
00:20:33.880 Same story down here.
00:20:35.280 We have the Florida State Seminoles
00:20:36.740 and that is actually,
00:20:39.260 you know,
00:20:39.480 the Seminole tribe
00:20:40.280 actually like works
00:20:41.240 with Florida State University
00:20:42.600 and I think
00:20:43.120 their mascot
00:20:44.440 is like an actual person
00:20:45.420 from the tribe
00:20:46.020 and I guarantee you
00:20:47.400 it's not going to matter
00:20:48.120 because woke,
00:20:49.380 white,
00:20:49.760 suburban liberals
00:20:50.540 from California,
00:20:52.300 you know,
00:20:52.700 they know better.
00:20:53.720 They know what's best
00:20:54.500 for the Seminoles,
00:20:55.300 right?
00:20:55.440 Not the Seminoles themselves.
00:20:56.420 They are the saviors.
00:20:58.300 In fact,
00:20:59.000 that happened
00:20:59.540 in my high school.
00:21:00.540 Our high school mascot
00:21:01.400 was we were the Redmen.
00:21:03.440 We had to vote
00:21:04.700 to change it
00:21:05.320 and we became
00:21:05.880 the Golden Knights
00:21:06.740 so it's pretty accurate
00:21:07.820 to exactly what
00:21:08.700 you referenced there.
00:21:10.000 Shout out to my high school,
00:21:11.120 O'Neill.
00:21:12.180 But, you know,
00:21:12.620 this is the thing
00:21:13.220 is that they're basically
00:21:14.700 setting the standard now
00:21:15.640 that only white
00:21:16.800 cultural references
00:21:18.260 and white people
00:21:19.040 can be represented
00:21:19.760 by mascots.
00:21:20.740 So these are people
00:21:21.440 who always cry
00:21:22.660 that minorities
00:21:23.640 are underrepresented
00:21:24.460 in culture
00:21:25.040 and yet at every turn
00:21:26.140 where they try
00:21:26.720 to represent minorities
00:21:28.140 and minority cultures
00:21:29.080 and in mainstream culture,
00:21:31.860 they get mad at it.
00:21:32.800 So if we're going
00:21:33.280 to take them all out,
00:21:34.000 then what's going to happen?
00:21:35.960 Only white cultures
00:21:37.220 are represented
00:21:38.120 in the culture
00:21:38.880 and I thought
00:21:39.860 that was the opposite
00:21:40.540 of what they want
00:21:41.140 but I guess not.
00:21:42.100 I think that appears
00:21:43.020 to be like the plan,
00:21:45.920 if you will,
00:21:46.560 for things like
00:21:47.180 Aunt Jemima
00:21:47.860 and Uncle Ben.
00:21:48.760 So I mean,
00:21:49.420 Aunt Jemima
00:21:49.980 was a celebrated individual
00:21:51.500 who was one of the first
00:21:52.520 black millionaires
00:21:53.440 in the United States.
00:21:54.220 She was like an actress
00:21:55.340 and a spokesperson
00:21:56.420 for a lot of different things
00:21:57.660 and all of a sudden
00:21:58.520 you're erasing her
00:21:59.420 from history
00:22:00.120 so that you can feel better
00:22:02.280 about a syrup bottle.
00:22:04.680 It doesn't seem
00:22:05.160 to make any sense
00:22:05.860 and I think
00:22:06.220 that there might be
00:22:07.480 something more
00:22:08.500 to that argument.
00:22:09.160 I want to play a video
00:22:28.500 of you posing
00:22:29.440 as a feminist.
00:22:30.200 You're wearing
00:22:30.400 the pink pussy hat
00:22:31.560 at a rally.
00:22:33.280 I think you were
00:22:33.880 in Fleckus
00:22:34.620 or slightly offensive
00:22:35.560 video
00:22:36.740 before people knew
00:22:38.180 that you were
00:22:38.920 pretending it.
00:22:39.820 So let's play
00:22:40.280 the clip of him
00:22:41.140 asking people's questions
00:22:42.680 where you're basically
00:22:43.240 saying whatever you want
00:22:44.260 to this person
00:22:44.700 and they believe it.
00:22:45.940 Let's see what type
00:22:46.680 of crazy crap
00:22:47.360 we could get
00:22:47.860 feminists to believe.
00:22:49.040 And lastly,
00:22:49.660 did you know
00:22:49.980 that President Trump
00:22:50.880 and Republicans
00:22:51.380 are currently
00:22:52.780 considering a bill
00:22:53.500 that basically overturned
00:22:54.880 the Equal Pay Act
00:22:55.600 and sort of allow
00:22:57.200 men to be paid
00:22:58.620 more than women
00:22:59.160 if they want?
00:23:00.320 What is your opinion
00:23:01.580 on that?
00:23:01.940 That's sick
00:23:03.140 and that's twisted
00:23:04.140 and I don't understand
00:23:06.180 why,
00:23:06.960 I'm going to use you
00:23:07.580 as an example,
00:23:08.420 why this would be
00:23:09.240 better than this
00:23:10.140 or this would be
00:23:11.500 superior.
00:23:12.280 Did you just assume
00:23:12.800 my gender?
00:23:14.020 I did,
00:23:14.580 I'm sorry.
00:23:19.940 It's just terrible.
00:23:21.520 So,
00:23:22.160 you posed as a feminist
00:23:24.580 obviously worked pretty well.
00:23:26.200 How is it,
00:23:26.800 was it easy
00:23:27.580 to come up
00:23:28.140 with these talking points
00:23:29.160 to just like,
00:23:29.720 it looks like you came up
00:23:30.540 at that exact moment?
00:23:32.940 Is it easy
00:23:33.500 to come up
00:23:33.940 with these talking points
00:23:34.760 and have people
00:23:35.420 believe it?
00:23:37.380 No,
00:23:37.780 it's incredibly easy
00:23:39.760 because,
00:23:40.220 you know,
00:23:40.500 they'll believe anything
00:23:41.480 and I think
00:23:42.060 it just goes to show you,
00:23:47.200 because that doesn't
00:23:47.760 even make any sense.
00:23:48.700 Like you could tell,
00:23:49.340 I had absolutely no idea
00:23:50.900 what I was even saying
00:23:51.800 or talking about,
00:23:52.940 but,
00:23:53.180 you know,
00:23:54.480 they will basically believe
00:23:56.420 anything that sounds
00:23:57.600 kind of woke
00:23:58.280 and you see this
00:23:58.840 with the slide post too.
00:23:59.940 Like I've,
00:24:00.540 the reason I tried to start,
00:24:02.080 I think you mentioned earlier
00:24:03.040 my satire account,
00:24:04.460 right?
00:24:04.580 Yeah,
00:24:04.740 we'll get to that
00:24:05.340 in a second.
00:24:06.260 Yeah,
00:24:06.580 but the reason I tried
00:24:07.360 to start that
00:24:08.000 was because I saw
00:24:08.980 so many people
00:24:10.140 that I knew
00:24:10.740 that were genuine
00:24:11.420 leftists
00:24:11.960 actually sharing
00:24:13.700 slide posts
00:24:14.760 that,
00:24:15.560 and I was like,
00:24:16.420 how can anyone
00:24:18.060 be this dumb?
00:24:18.880 I mean,
00:24:19.140 it just,
00:24:19.840 they just got more
00:24:20.900 and more ridiculous
00:24:21.500 and I can't remember
00:24:22.240 exactly what they were saying,
00:24:23.400 but I just remember,
00:24:24.540 I was like,
00:24:25.380 now you're trying
00:24:26.040 to cancel like
00:24:26.740 the English language
00:24:27.660 and stuff like that.
00:24:28.420 I was like,
00:24:28.720 holy,
00:24:28.940 so then I was like,
00:24:30.080 okay,
00:24:30.380 it's true this.
00:24:31.380 These people
00:24:32.080 will get on board
00:24:32.860 with anything
00:24:33.260 so long as it sounds
00:24:34.440 woke,
00:24:35.000 right?
00:24:35.300 Like,
00:24:35.700 so I was like,
00:24:36.740 you know what,
00:24:37.180 let's just see
00:24:37.700 how far we can push this.
00:24:39.360 but.
00:24:40.020 Yeah,
00:24:40.200 let's bring up
00:24:40.680 the first one there,
00:24:41.560 Justin,
00:24:42.140 and this particular one,
00:24:43.960 why you should
00:24:44.880 let your girlfriend
00:24:45.720 cheat on you
00:24:46.560 at Progressive Vince,
00:24:47.760 that's your progressive page.
00:24:49.160 this one actually got sent
00:24:51.000 to me
00:24:51.980 by a friend of mine
00:24:55.060 and what ended up happening
00:24:58.000 was a couple days later
00:24:59.020 I sent it to somebody else.
00:25:01.120 I knew about it already,
00:25:02.580 but I sent it to somebody else
00:25:03.700 and they said,
00:25:04.180 somebody sent me this
00:25:05.140 earlier today
00:25:05.940 and we were talking
00:25:07.000 about how stupid it is.
00:25:08.360 So,
00:25:09.020 you're pretending
00:25:09.900 to be progressive
00:25:10.940 has actually gone
00:25:12.400 full circle
00:25:13.200 where people are now,
00:25:14.780 I mean,
00:25:15.280 I'm sure there's people
00:25:16.080 who are believing it
00:25:18.300 for some reason,
00:25:19.060 but there's actually,
00:25:20.020 it's causing the right wing
00:25:21.420 rage against the wokeness too.
00:25:24.420 Now,
00:25:24.600 do you think
00:25:24.980 that's a problem too
00:25:26.140 is the,
00:25:27.120 let's call it a right wing
00:25:28.420 virtue signal
00:25:29.140 where it's just
00:25:29.660 an overreaction
00:25:30.400 or should we be paying
00:25:31.780 close attention to this stuff
00:25:32.760 or should we just be
00:25:33.820 letting progressive Vince be
00:25:35.360 and ignoring it?
00:25:38.040 So,
00:25:38.660 I think the problem
00:25:40.140 is when right wingers
00:25:42.420 can't distinguish
00:25:43.720 whether or not it's satire
00:25:45.080 in that sense
00:25:45.780 because it's kind of like,
00:25:46.700 come on, man.
00:25:47.400 But at the same time,
00:25:48.760 this is actually
00:25:49.520 a genuine thing
00:25:50.680 I'm pretty sure I've seen
00:25:51.540 in some BuzzFeed article
00:25:52.640 where they're saying
00:25:53.400 like being a cuck
00:25:54.860 is like empowering
00:25:55.940 or whatever the heck, right?
00:25:57.080 So,
00:25:57.540 maybe that it's not
00:25:58.780 so like crazy
00:25:59.680 that I think
00:26:00.460 you could tell
00:26:01.320 by some of the writing
00:26:02.740 in the post,
00:26:03.280 like some of the things
00:26:03.720 I actually said
00:26:04.200 in that post
00:26:04.720 where like you know
00:26:05.660 it's just messing around
00:26:07.220 but I think that
00:26:08.440 I've genuinely seen
00:26:09.220 people say this
00:26:09.780 but to respond,
00:26:10.860 no,
00:26:11.080 I don't think so
00:26:11.780 because right wingers
00:26:13.700 have to push back
00:26:14.480 at some point
00:26:15.040 and we've sort of
00:26:15.980 let this run for decades
00:26:17.000 where the woke progressive left
00:26:18.660 just tears over our culture
00:26:20.280 and keeps pushing
00:26:20.980 more and more
00:26:21.960 and I've seen this
00:26:23.540 happen firsthand
00:26:24.300 like in 2020
00:26:25.520 I've seen this happen firsthand
00:26:26.780 where some crazy fringe idea
00:26:28.780 that it just seems ridiculous
00:26:30.560 and who the hell
00:26:31.320 would actually believe that?
00:26:32.560 Next thing you know
00:26:33.260 like it's actually mainstream
00:26:34.520 and like people
00:26:35.120 are actually doing this
00:26:35.980 and people are actually saying this
00:26:36.980 so I think
00:26:38.080 it's easy to ridicule
00:26:39.920 stuff like this
00:26:40.520 like saying it's just stupid
00:26:41.660 but I also realize
00:26:44.120 that if you don't push back
00:26:45.900 on stuff while it's small
00:26:47.160 it just gets big
00:26:48.140 because you just don't
00:26:48.700 it's like a tumor
00:26:49.520 that you don't remove
00:26:50.400 right?
00:26:50.760 While it's still small
00:26:51.580 it just keeps growing
00:26:52.380 and growing
00:26:53.120 and more stupid people
00:26:53.980 keep buying into it
00:26:54.860 so I would say
00:26:56.760 I actually think
00:26:57.460 it's time that the writer
00:26:58.360 at least push back
00:26:59.160 against something
00:26:59.840 and if it's going to be that
00:27:00.960 then it's going to be that.
00:27:02.380 Now I've experimented
00:27:04.000 with this
00:27:04.320 inspired by you
00:27:05.240 of course
00:27:05.640 and I had
00:27:06.180 Sydney Watson
00:27:07.980 shout out to her
00:27:08.800 she's a YouTuber
00:27:09.480 she actually had to
00:27:10.200 tell me to stop
00:27:10.980 because I would
00:27:11.740 whatever she posted
00:27:12.780 I would just say
00:27:14.060 like you
00:27:15.200 just the most
00:27:15.860 progressive thing
00:27:16.700 like oh these people
00:27:17.660 are killing grandmas
00:27:18.700 and you shouldn't
00:27:19.320 go grocery shopping
00:27:20.240 and the replies
00:27:22.040 were just out of this world
00:27:23.340 I don't think
00:27:23.720 I've ever had
00:27:24.160 so many replies
00:27:24.840 so it works
00:27:26.700 I think it's effective
00:27:27.520 in both directions
00:27:28.320 and I implore you
00:27:29.080 to keep doing it
00:27:29.880 I wanted to show
00:27:30.620 one more Justin
00:27:31.540 why you should wear
00:27:33.140 a mask on Zoom calls
00:27:34.600 what was the
00:27:36.380 what was the explanation
00:27:37.800 for that?
00:27:39.960 I believe
00:27:41.060 by the way
00:27:41.640 this one is not
00:27:42.500 actually that satire
00:27:43.560 because there was
00:27:44.300 a real company
00:27:45.180 in Tennessee
00:27:45.700 that asked their
00:27:46.820 employees to do this
00:27:47.600 so that's actually
00:27:48.620 where I got the idea from
00:27:49.580 but the argument
00:27:51.740 was that
00:27:52.980 I think I said
00:27:53.880 that you have to
00:27:54.640 set an example
00:27:55.520 to other people
00:27:56.240 because there are
00:27:56.860 so many evil
00:27:57.780 anti-mask
00:27:59.140 grandma killer
00:27:59.820 Hitler
00:28:00.220 Nazis in society
00:28:01.500 that I basically said
00:28:03.020 you have to wear
00:28:04.240 a mask
00:28:04.760 even on Zoom calls
00:28:05.780 you have to be seen
00:28:06.440 with a mask
00:28:06.820 on everything
00:28:07.320 to promote masks
00:28:08.360 to others
00:28:08.840 right?
00:28:09.240 so just the ultimate
00:28:09.860 virtue signal
00:28:10.540 but this was actually
00:28:11.880 I don't know
00:28:12.240 if you heard this
00:28:12.700 but there was a
00:28:13.200 genuine company
00:28:13.780 in Tennessee
00:28:14.120 that said exactly
00:28:15.020 this
00:28:15.300 they said
00:28:15.740 please wear a mask
00:28:17.140 on Zoom meetings
00:28:18.680 for our company
00:28:19.540 because we need
00:28:20.460 to set an example
00:28:21.380 to the rest of society
00:28:22.640 of how important
00:28:23.400 it is to wear masks
00:28:24.220 so it's just a
00:28:26.120 social conditioning thing
00:28:27.160 you know
00:28:27.380 like you have to
00:28:28.020 once you see
00:28:28.820 everyone with masks
00:28:29.480 you think it's normal
00:28:30.220 but this was
00:28:31.220 that one was actually
00:28:32.080 not big
00:28:32.480 it's all true
