00:00:00.000 And I have to say, you know, some might have thought it was a burden for me to come right
00:00:07.500 off the campaign trail in a national campaign and go straight to knocking on doors, to travelling
00:00:13.940 throughout a 36,000 square kilometres, but I'll tell you something, it was not a burden
00:00:22.580 at all.
00:00:24.220 This has been a privilege.
00:00:26.520 Learning to know the people in this region has been the privilege of my life.
00:00:30.960 In fact, I've had a hell of a lot of fun.
00:00:42.960 Whether it's been at the bronc matches or the rodeos or, you know, walking into a parking
00:00:46.880 lot and some guy I don't even know walks up and offers me a big bag of beef jerky.
00:00:51.320 It doesn't happen in the city.
00:00:55.560 Or another guy says he's got a four-wheeler and he tells me I can tear around town it
00:00:59.660 all by myself.
00:01:00.000 He trusts the city boy to do that.
00:01:02.000 I don't know what he was thinking, but I really love the people of Battle River Crowfoot.
00:01:08.740 They're the kind of, what you see is what you get, give you the shirt off their back, tell
00:01:15.120 it like it is, common sense people.
00:01:18.360 They reinforce, I love you too.
00:01:20.800 Thank you very much.
00:01:22.160 I love you.
00:01:24.800 I think one of the most genuine moments I've ever seen a pure poly.
00:01:31.240 I think he was really happy he won that by-election last night, as we saw with, I can't find,
00:01:41.260 84 points, 80.4% of the vote.
00:01:45.160 Trying to get that slide up for you again here.
00:01:47.040 I don't know what happened to it.
00:01:48.740 Elections Canada reports he got 80.4% of the vote last night.
00:01:54.780 So, oh, here we are.
00:01:56.580 Here we are.
00:01:58.140 Yes, 80.4% of the vote.
00:02:00.640 And guess who?
00:02:03.300 Guess who was dead on?
00:02:04.620 We'll come back with that in a moment.
00:02:07.680 And we got lots to talk about today.
00:02:09.340 Thanks for joining me.
00:02:12.980 The Prime Minister lied and his minions continue to lie.
00:02:17.440 We need a political team.
00:02:27.720 But we also need to resolve to resist.
00:02:38.660 Yes, please ring that bell.
00:02:40.640 Give us a thumbs up.
00:02:41.880 Subscribe, resubscribe if you need to.
00:02:44.060 We appreciate your support.
00:02:45.460 Thank you for your support yesterday.
00:02:46.740 That was the biggest success I've had in a long, hard summer.
00:02:50.500 Thank you so much for being there for me.
00:02:53.240 And be there again today.
00:02:55.800 Share this broadcast with your friends and family, because I guarantee you, YouTube won't.
00:03:00.540 So I've got the Creighton's Right shirt on today, the T-shirt.
00:03:04.120 Can you guess why?
00:03:05.140 Because yesterday I said,
00:03:07.140 Pierre Pauly would win this by-election with 80% of the vote.
00:03:10.260 Well, he got 80.4%, according to Elections Canada.
00:03:13.540 I see some people on X tweeting he got 89%.
00:03:17.200 That's totally bogus.
00:03:18.620 But what does it matter?
00:03:19.640 80% is 80%.
00:03:21.260 Nobody is going to say that's not good enough.
00:03:25.260 Including, I think, even liberals are going to leave that alone.
00:03:29.000 80% is good enough for me.
00:03:31.720 And I think Pierre Pauly delivered a very good victory speech last night.
00:03:36.740 And do I have any criticism at all?
00:03:38.700 Maybe here or there.
00:03:40.000 But overall, I love that piece I just showed you, where the audience says, I love you.
00:03:47.480 And he says, I love you back.
00:03:48.360 Because we don't often get moments of candor, candid moments, genuine moments like that from Pierre Pauly.
00:03:56.160 He's very scripted at times.
00:03:58.420 And I just thought that was a fantastic moment to see, maybe this is the real guy.
00:04:02.980 You know?
00:04:03.980 Maybe this is the real Pierre Pauly.
00:04:06.260 And he really is grateful to those people in Battle River, Crowfoot, for voting for him.
00:04:17.440 Because as I said yesterday, he did not take this election for granted.
00:04:24.020 Far from it.
00:04:25.660 He fought hard.
00:04:27.860 He went, the door knocked.
00:04:29.320 He did everything.
00:04:30.260 Now, before we get into the Donald Trump side of the story,
00:04:32.660 and Donald Trump humiliated Mark Carney by not including him in the summit yesterday of the European Union,
00:04:39.380 where Mark Carney wants to belong.
00:04:41.540 He thinks we're European, right?
00:04:43.120 We'll get to that in a minute.
00:04:44.500 This is a day of triumph for Pierre Pauly.
00:04:48.800 It was a night of triumph for Pierre Pauly.
00:04:50.660 And I think he handled it quite well.
00:04:53.900 And I've got a couple of clips to show you from, in addition to what led off here.
00:04:58.940 Bill Bauer.
00:05:02.660 To Bill Bauer, who turned 100 years old in Acme.
00:05:08.260 He was born and raised in a sod hut in rural Saskatchewan.
00:05:12.760 And lived through the Dust Bowl and the Depression.
00:05:16.280 All to move to Alberta and start generation after generation a family here in this wonderful region.
00:05:23.340 Because he doesn't give up.
00:05:25.300 I don't give up.
00:05:26.080 To the great people of the special areas whose ancestors were told a century ago,
00:05:32.680 including Damien's great-grandparents, that they'd never be able to farm on that land.
00:05:38.920 Too tough and too dry.
00:05:41.160 And yet, on the homestead signs that you drive by on the highway,
00:05:45.400 those old names are still there.
00:05:47.360 And their great-great-grandchildren are still making those fields blossom.
00:05:53.060 They never gave up, so I will never give up.
00:05:56.820 To the great-
00:06:00.060 Because as my mother, who's here today, taught me,
00:06:07.340 when you get knocked down, you get up and you keep on going.
00:06:10.860 If you believe in what you're doing, you march forward.
00:06:13.240 And so I say to all of the people, not just in the great region of Battle River Crowfuck,
00:06:19.960 but right across this country, to anyone who has been knocked down,
00:06:23.880 but has got back up and kept on going,
00:06:26.320 you haven't given up, so I won't give up.
00:06:28.840 Together, we will work together.
00:06:31.000 We will fight together.
00:06:32.280 We will sacrifice together to restore the opportunity that our grandparents left for us
00:06:38.400 so that we can leave it for our grandchildren.
00:06:40.740 So that we can once again restore a country that is strong, self-reliant, and sovereign.
00:06:47.720 That is the country we're in this for.
00:06:49.720 That is why we stay united.
00:06:51.620 That is why we go forward.
00:06:53.900 May God keep our land glorious and free.
00:06:56.240 Thank you very much.
00:06:57.200 Thank you.
00:06:59.600 Once again, that was a great moment.
00:07:01.660 Can you imagine Mark Carney trying to relate to those people in that constituency?
00:07:06.220 It would have been so awkward.
00:07:07.460 Even Justin Trudeau, he would have put on his usual,
00:07:10.300 It's so nice to meet these nice folks here.
00:07:14.380 Mark Carney, it would have been uncomfortable writ large.
00:07:19.000 It would have been uncomfortable and embodied.
00:07:22.000 I think Polly was genuinely happy to be there.
00:07:26.480 You have to remember, he grew up in Calgary,
00:07:29.240 not far from this writing.
00:07:30.620 And he knew a lot of these people growing up.
00:07:33.960 I don't mean personally, but he knew these types of just plain folk in rural Alberta.
00:07:40.460 And they are some of the most sincere, determined, perseverant, idealistic, imaginative people on the face of the earth.
00:07:52.020 And they put up with all kinds of nonsense from central Canada and Ottawa.
00:07:57.360 And they keep on fighting.
00:07:58.900 They keep on resolving to resist, just like the station does and just like you all do.
00:08:03.240 So I was very impressed with this.
00:08:04.540 But here's the guts of what he's promising to do as the leader of the opposition.
00:08:10.980 And I think we need to listen to this.
00:08:13.820 And I might interrupt a couple of times.
00:08:16.940 But overall, very impressive.
00:08:20.140 This incredible region and its amazing people have suffered terribly over the last 10 years.
00:08:27.260 I've seen the main streets that have been hollowed out.
00:08:30.120 And the trades workers who are underemployed because there is just not the work
00:08:34.360 as the federal government has attacked the oil and gas sector and favoured foreign producers.
00:08:40.400 This is the truth here in Battle River Crowfoot and in many communities across this country.
00:08:45.920 Over the last 10 years, liberal policies have sent crime, immigration, housing costs, inflation spiraling out of control.
00:08:56.500 Now, they promised recently that things would be different.
00:08:59.600 But under Mr. Carney and his 157 days in office,
00:09:03.380 they've only gotten worse.
00:09:05.720 There have been many announcements and meetings, many photo ops, and a lot of jazz, but not a lot of results.
00:09:13.180 He sent everyone home for a summer vacation.
00:09:16.300 He sent them home even though the deficit is spiraling out of control.
00:09:19.920 Inflation is up.
00:09:21.860 Elbows are down.
00:09:23.540 No resource projects are underway.
00:09:25.860 And the housing crisis worsens as builders can't afford to build and buyers can't afford to buy.
00:09:30.640 That's why us conservatives have our work cut out for us.
00:09:34.280 This fall, as Parliament returns, we will not only oppose out of control liberal inflation, crime, immigration, cost of living, and housing prices,
00:09:48.700 but we will propose.
00:09:49.700 All right.
00:09:51.780 Why am I impressed with this?
00:09:53.940 Because he's saying, read between the lines,
00:09:57.860 we will not be co-opted by the liberal Carney government.
00:10:02.720 We will be an official opposition that proposes policy.
00:10:07.880 We will not be co-opted.
00:10:10.560 I think that's what he's saying here.
00:10:13.160 It's quite clear to me, this is a defiant statement.
00:10:16.920 And this is not what we heard during those three weeks he was back in the House of Commons.
00:10:21.640 So I hope this is a new beginning.
00:10:23.380 As some of you in the comments have already said.
00:10:26.960 Real solutions for safe streets, secure borders,
00:10:31.840 a stronger and sovereign country with bigger take-home pay for our people.
00:10:36.760 We will put Canada first.
00:10:39.200 And we will do so in a way that will make our country self-reliant
00:10:42.840 and make our people capable of earning paychecks that buy affordable food and homes in safe neighbourhoods.
00:10:57.120 Thank you.
00:10:58.000 Conservatives are going to mount a massive pressure campaign
00:11:09.780 at dealerships, at auto plants, in communities across the country
00:11:13.780 and on the floor of the House of Commons
00:11:15.580 to stop the electric vehicle mandate
00:11:18.160 and allow Canadians to buy the car or truck of their choice.
00:11:22.520 You should be back in the driver's seat.
00:11:24.400 Once again, this is extremely important that he's saying this.
00:11:35.080 Extremely important that he's saying EV mandate is going to be history.
00:11:39.980 You are in the driver's seat.
00:11:41.420 We need safe streets again, even in rural communities
00:11:48.960 where Kevin Sorensen tells me they used to leave the doors unlocked.
00:11:53.420 Now people don't feel so safe.
00:11:59.220 Kevin Sorensen, of course, was the previous member of parliament in that region.
00:12:04.600 And yes, I knew Kevin very well.
00:12:06.100 In rural communities on farms,
00:12:10.300 the thieves are showing up and siphoning gas and stealing copper.
00:12:13.860 More dangerous and violent drug offences are happening everywhere.
00:12:17.420 Conservatives will push for laws that lock up violent offenders,
00:12:20.780 ban drugs, treat addiction,
00:12:22.520 and make our communities safe to raise families
00:12:24.740 and for seniors to retire.
00:12:26.760 We'll also protect the lawful, licensed, trained, and tested firearms owners.
00:12:32.140 Having a hunting rifle in rural communities is not just a matter of recreation.
00:12:37.260 It is a way to feed your family.
00:12:46.500 And we will...
00:12:47.460 Once again, that's a winning statement,
00:12:49.820 especially in that part of the country.
00:12:51.740 But all over the country with grassroots conservatives are cheering.
00:12:55.620 Yes, this guy is committed to fighting the gun control.
00:13:00.600 This is a political obsession of the carny...
00:13:04.140 We'll secure our borders
00:13:05.380 by putting an end to the liberal open borders experiment
00:13:09.220 of mass immigration, which has been a disaster.
00:13:13.120 Once again, he's addressing something here
00:13:15.360 that his critics have time and time again tried to ping upon.
00:13:19.640 And that's...
00:13:20.880 Pierre Pauly really doesn't oppose mass migration.
00:13:23.880 I think this was incredibly salient to his victory speech last night
00:13:27.920 that he include that, because he's not just talking to the people here
00:13:31.720 in his constituency, the people in his room.
00:13:34.180 He's talking to conservatives across the country
00:13:36.220 who are saying, I am opposed to mass migration.
00:13:39.540 It's gone too far.
00:13:40.680 We're going to do something about it.
00:13:42.340 Over the next several years, we need to, frankly,
00:13:45.480 we need to have more people leaving than coming
00:13:48.000 so that citizens in Canada can afford homes,
00:13:51.620 can find jobs, and health care again.
00:13:53.900 Conservatives welcome lawful, orderly immigration.
00:13:58.260 But it has to be done in our national interest,
00:14:00.200 the right people, and in the right numbers.
00:14:02.460 In other words, we will fight to restore an immigration system
00:14:05.940 that puts Canada first.
00:14:11.640 And most of all, we need to restore the sovereignty of our country.
00:14:18.960 Our nation has become far too dependent on one export market,
00:14:22.620 and increasingly, the Liberals are losing two trade wars,
00:14:26.580 one with China and one with the U.S.
00:14:29.240 Since Mr. Carney took office,
00:14:30.880 $60 billion of net investment has fled the country
00:14:34.660 to escape high Liberal taxes
00:14:36.720 and brutal anti-development policies.
00:14:40.080 This has weakened our economy and our negotiating position
00:14:43.640 against other countries that want to take advantage of us.
00:14:47.620 Those investors are taking their money to other places
00:14:50.900 that have lower taxes and more favourable treatment.
00:14:54.020 Meanwhile, U.S. and Chinese tariffs have actually worsened
00:14:57.400 since Mr. Carney got elected,
00:14:59.440 and that was election that he ran on getting a better deal.
00:15:03.320 Conservatives will fight to put Canada first,
00:15:06.100 and we will work with anyone, from any party.
00:15:08.860 We continue to extend our hand to Mr. Carney
00:15:11.760 and say that we want to work with any party
00:15:14.340 to put an end to the tariffs and get a fair deal for Canada.
00:15:17.600 In fact, we're proposing solutions, non-partisan solutions,
00:15:21.940 that will help strengthen Canada's hand.
00:15:24.480 For example, we propose a Canadian Sovereignty Act.
00:15:29.840 Best thing he's proposed in a long, long time.
00:15:34.160 Hear this from even people who are not really good friends
00:15:38.460 of Pierre Pauly and his leadership,
00:15:40.860 small-c conservatives who might be voting elsewhere,
00:15:43.800 who might not be voting.
00:15:45.020 They say, hey, that Canadian Sovereignty Act,
00:15:46.620 that sounds like good conservative policy,
00:15:49.160 and that sounds like the Pierre Pauly that I can support.
00:15:52.460 To take back control of our economic destiny,
00:15:55.340 this act would legalise pipeline construction,
00:15:58.600 rapid mine approvals, LNG plants, nuclear plants.
00:16:02.340 It would get rid of the industrial carbon tax,
00:16:05.060 the EV mandate.
00:16:06.240 It would ensure that Alberta could continue increasing
00:16:09.040 its output of oil and gas.
00:16:12.000 It would pave the way to get pipelines built
00:16:14.420 right across this country.
00:16:16.200 And it would eliminate capital gains tax
00:16:19.080 when you reinvest your profits here in Canada
00:16:22.000 to bring back hundreds of billions of dollars investment.
00:16:25.820 This is an idea I hope the Liberals will steal
00:16:28.760 because our purpose...
00:16:30.240 Our purpose is Canada.
00:16:36.240 It's a plan that will mean that we dig mines,
00:16:42.940 lay pipe, open ports,
00:16:44.780 unleash the might of our worker
00:16:46.700 and the genius of our entrepreneur
00:16:49.280 in a bigger, more powerful, free enterprise economy
00:16:53.200 that put Canadians back in charge of their lives.
00:16:55.780 These steps will save you money,
00:16:58.120 restore safety in your streets,
00:17:00.120 secure your borders,
00:17:01.040 and strengthen your nation's sovereignty.
00:17:13.460 I think that's exactly what Peer Polly had needed.
00:17:16.220 And I think it was a very effective speech overall
00:17:26.740 and a very effective speech,
00:17:28.300 not just to that group of people there
00:17:30.760 in that writing,
00:17:32.840 but for conservatives across the country.
00:17:34.980 It was a very effective speech.
00:17:36.760 And that's what he needs to do.
00:17:38.860 And I think that's what he did last night.
00:17:42.080 And this was a great night for Peer Polly.
00:17:45.420 It was a very bad day for Mark Carney.
00:17:49.360 And that's what we're going to get to next
00:17:50.780 because Mark Carney was humiliated.
00:17:52.760 Remember we showed you this clip yesterday.
00:17:56.460 Mark, you look like you were about to...
00:17:58.160 Yeah, I was a tell.
00:17:59.300 As a European, you know, as a...
00:18:01.280 As a European, I am a European, actually.
00:18:03.060 Oh, you are?
00:18:03.660 Oh, oh.
00:18:04.080 Yeah, I'm a citizen.
00:18:04.920 Yeah, so there you go.
00:18:05.840 Well, welcome.
00:18:06.120 Well...
00:18:06.400 Speaking as a European,
00:18:08.420 I like to say falling.
00:18:09.820 Yeah, Mark Carney wants to be a European.
00:18:15.340 Mark Carney wants Canada to be part of Europe.
00:18:18.900 So why wasn't Mark Carney invited
00:18:21.480 to the big summit yesterday in Washington
00:18:24.300 with all of these European leaders?
00:18:28.220 Macron was there.
00:18:29.880 Keir Starmer was there.
00:18:31.980 Prime Minister Bidley was there.
00:18:35.020 No Mark Carney.
00:18:36.600 I think he was completely humiliated.
00:18:42.540 And of course, you know,
00:18:44.620 Donald Trump knew exactly what he was doing, didn't he?
00:18:49.240 And, you know, Donald Trump commented on this yesterday
00:18:52.380 in a true social post.
00:18:54.700 He said I had a very good meeting with distinguished guest
00:18:56.280 President Volomar-Zelensky,
00:18:58.260 Rick Crane, President Emmanuel Macron of France,
00:19:00.260 President Alexander Stubb of Finland,
00:19:02.280 Prime Minister Giorgio Maloney of Italy,
00:19:04.480 Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom,
00:19:06.060 Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany,
00:19:08.240 Friedrich Mertz,
00:19:09.540 President of the European Commission,
00:19:11.100 Ursula von der Leyen,
00:19:12.440 and Secretary General of NATO,
00:19:13.820 Mark Root,
00:19:15.000 in the White House,
00:19:15.840 which ended in a further meeting in the Oval Office.
00:19:18.940 During the meeting,
00:19:20.060 we discussed security guarantees for Ukraine.
00:19:23.780 Aha!
00:19:24.120 So why wasn't Mark Carney at this tete-a-tete?
00:19:30.020 Clearly,
00:19:30.840 as I said yesterday,
00:19:32.880 Donald Trump doesn't take Mark Carney very seriously,
00:19:35.080 even if he was the governor of the Bank of England,
00:19:37.540 even if he was the goodwill ambassador
00:19:39.980 for climate change,
00:19:41.740 for the United Nations,
00:19:43.160 even if he has
00:19:44.500 campaigned vigorously over the years
00:19:47.160 on behalf of China
00:19:48.180 and behalf of globalist causes,
00:19:50.860 I don't think Donald Trump
00:19:52.540 takes him very seriously.
00:19:54.740 And President Trump said,
00:19:56.880 President Zelensky of Ukraine
00:19:58.100 can end the war with Russia
00:19:59.440 almost immediately,
00:20:00.160 if he wants to.
00:20:01.020 He can continue to fight.
00:20:02.640 Remember how it started.
00:20:03.740 No getting back Obama
00:20:05.060 given Crimea
00:20:06.840 12 years ago
00:20:08.500 without a shopping cart.
00:20:09.420 And no going into NATO by Ukraine.
00:20:12.360 Something's never changed.
00:20:13.200 So Donald Trump
00:20:13.920 has essentially agreed.
00:20:15.380 And the mainstream media
00:20:16.500 are beginning to get this.
00:20:18.560 Ukraine cannot be a member of NATO
00:20:20.140 any more than Cuba
00:20:21.760 could have nuclear missiles
00:20:23.260 next to the United States
00:20:24.740 in 1962.
00:20:26.380 And President John F. Kennedy
00:20:27.900 objected to that.
00:20:28.840 And of course,
00:20:29.340 the vast majority of Americans
00:20:31.140 said,
00:20:31.460 no, we can't do that.
00:20:33.700 So,
00:20:34.480 and actually,
00:20:35.280 there was a backroom deal
00:20:36.440 with America removing
00:20:37.560 its missiles from Turkey,
00:20:39.940 which were right next
00:20:40.800 to the Soviet Union.
00:20:42.020 And in return for that,
00:20:43.860 the Soviets said,
00:20:44.840 yeah, we can't have
00:20:45.560 nuclear missiles in Cuba.
00:20:46.940 You're right.
00:20:47.360 It's common sense.
00:20:48.660 So Ukraine cannot be
00:20:50.000 a member of NATO
00:20:51.100 when NATO continues
00:20:52.580 to be hostile to Russia.
00:20:54.640 It's a basic fact of life.
00:20:57.480 But I can tell you this.
00:21:00.020 There's too many people
00:21:01.200 who have not
00:21:01.880 woken up to that yet.
00:21:03.560 But the mainstream media
00:21:04.820 is beginning to get this.
00:21:07.080 Let's have a few
00:21:07.700 look-sees.
00:21:08.960 I'm going to tell you
00:21:15.240 what Canada was doing yesterday
00:21:16.700 when Donald Trump
00:21:18.060 and the European Union
00:21:19.340 were trying to find
00:21:21.000 some kind of compromise
00:21:23.820 to a peace deal.
00:21:24.880 But we'll get to that
00:21:25.580 at the end.
00:21:26.340 Oh, here's Volomar
00:21:27.240 Zelensky,
00:21:28.300 the punk president
00:21:29.600 of Ukraine,
00:21:30.980 in one of his
00:21:31.620 finer moments there.
00:21:32.600 He actually put on
00:21:33.820 what might be a suit.
00:21:35.100 He's not wearing
00:21:36.640 his bow combat gear
00:21:38.520 or athletic wear,
00:21:40.260 whatever you want
00:21:41.180 you choose to call it.
00:21:43.560 So, yeah,
00:21:44.420 he wore his best,
00:21:46.400 although it looks like
00:21:47.180 he's going to a funeral.
00:21:49.560 That's sort of the,
00:21:50.300 that's what somebody
00:21:51.660 in Mayberry,
00:21:53.200 North Carolina,
00:21:54.180 if you ever watch
00:21:54.760 the old Andy Griffith show,
00:21:55.760 that's what they would have
00:21:56.660 worn to a funeral.
00:21:58.300 That's,
00:21:58.760 maybe,
00:21:59.760 maybe he's going
00:22:00.580 to his own.
00:22:01.320 I don't know.
00:22:02.320 And here's Donald Trump
00:22:03.280 and there's Emmanuel Macron
00:22:05.100 on the,
00:22:06.260 sitting closest here.
00:22:09.140 Here they are
00:22:09.740 waiting to enter
00:22:10.720 the Oval Office
00:22:11.620 with Donald Trump.
00:22:13.700 He lines them up
00:22:14.840 like a bunch of students.
00:22:17.580 I love this.
00:22:19.440 This is Donald Trump
00:22:20.680 completely.
00:22:21.620 He lines everybody up
00:22:22.820 and says,
00:22:23.220 okay,
00:22:23.700 I'll let you know
00:22:24.340 when it's okay to come in.
00:22:26.800 And,
00:22:27.380 here we go.
00:22:27.800 U.S. President Donald Trump
00:22:28.760 on the phone
00:22:29.200 with President Putin
00:22:29.960 in the Oval Office.
00:22:31.260 So,
00:22:31.620 here they are.
00:22:32.220 This goes to show you
00:22:33.440 why Donald Trump's
00:22:34.200 a little bit different
00:22:35.180 than a lot of other presidents.
00:22:37.840 I could see maybe
00:22:38.780 Richard Nixon doing this
00:22:40.300 at the height
00:22:41.380 of his popularity
00:22:42.440 in 1971-72
00:22:44.780 when he was exercising
00:22:46.700 incredible foreign policy
00:22:48.400 and he was creating
00:22:52.000 detente with the Soviet Union.
00:22:53.860 He was forging
00:22:55.140 a new relationship
00:22:56.200 with China.
00:22:56.880 He was totally
00:22:57.600 in control
00:22:58.040 of foreign policy
00:22:58.840 along with his
00:22:59.900 Secretary of State
00:23:00.880 or his
00:23:02.160 National Security Advisor
00:23:03.280 depending upon the date,
00:23:05.140 Henry Kissinger.
00:23:06.960 And so,
00:23:07.740 here's Donald Trump
00:23:08.880 in the middle of the meeting.
00:23:10.580 Somebody says,
00:23:11.260 well,
00:23:11.360 I don't know
00:23:11.880 if Putin will talk
00:23:13.120 with Zelensky.
00:23:15.120 Donald Trump says,
00:23:16.080 well,
00:23:16.440 let's find out.
00:23:18.040 And Donald Trump
00:23:18.960 goes and makes
00:23:19.680 a phone call.
00:23:21.580 Here he is.
00:23:22.380 He's on the phone
00:23:23.200 with President Putin
00:23:24.220 in the Oval Office.
00:23:25.340 This guy never ceases
00:23:26.420 to amaze me.
00:23:27.140 He doesn't do things
00:23:28.860 the regular way.
00:23:30.880 Does he?
00:23:32.300 Absolutely not.
00:23:33.700 Absolutely not.
00:23:35.700 Let's listen to some
00:23:36.720 of the comment
00:23:37.240 on yesterday's meeting
00:23:39.560 because,
00:23:40.480 once again,
00:23:41.120 this was a huge,
00:23:41.940 yesterday was a huge
00:23:42.900 triumph for Pierre Pollyup.
00:23:44.440 It was a huge
00:23:45.280 humiliation
00:23:46.120 for Mark J. Carney
00:23:48.300 who was not
00:23:50.180 even invited.
00:23:51.620 Mr. European Canadian
00:23:53.200 was not even
00:23:54.960 invited here
00:23:55.720 because Donald Trump
00:23:56.580 says,
00:23:56.960 hey,
00:23:57.020 I don't take you seriously
00:23:58.000 because you think
00:23:59.060 you're going to buy
00:23:59.660 Swedish fighter jets
00:24:02.680 instead of the F-35.
00:24:05.320 We went into this
00:24:06.300 yesterday
00:24:06.740 with the ambassador,
00:24:08.500 the American ambassador
00:24:09.520 to Canada
00:24:10.080 who says,
00:24:10.860 you can't buy
00:24:11.740 F-35s
00:24:13.020 and Swedish fighter jets.
00:24:14.980 You've only got
00:24:15.560 an Air Force
00:24:16.200 of less than 100 jets.
00:24:17.820 How are you going
00:24:18.620 to have maintenance crews
00:24:19.700 doing both
00:24:20.900 of these jets?
00:24:22.640 What are you going
00:24:23.060 to do
00:24:23.300 with 72
00:24:24.900 Swedish jets
00:24:26.580 when you're
00:24:28.160 trying to be
00:24:29.220 interoperable
00:24:30.060 with NATO
00:24:30.700 or NORAD?
00:24:32.480 It ain't going
00:24:33.040 to happen.
00:24:33.820 So Donald Trump
00:24:34.720 is saying,
00:24:35.140 I can't take you
00:24:35.740 seriously.
00:24:36.700 I can't take you
00:24:37.580 seriously
00:24:38.040 at all,
00:24:39.020 Mark Carney.
00:24:40.060 Was it in a room
00:24:40.560 when the president
00:24:41.340 talked to
00:24:42.660 Vladimir Putin?
00:24:45.060 I was.
00:24:45.760 I was.
00:24:46.520 And in that conversation,
00:24:48.460 you know,
00:24:48.660 what came from it
00:24:49.400 is that,
00:24:49.920 you know,
00:24:50.660 the president suggested
00:24:51.680 that Zelensky
00:24:52.360 and Putin meet.
00:24:53.380 So we're working
00:24:54.240 on that now
00:24:54.920 to try to set that up
00:24:55.940 for them to meet
00:24:56.800 somewhere,
00:24:57.360 which again
00:24:57.700 would be unprecedented.
00:24:59.180 And then if that goes well,
00:25:00.320 hopefully the next meeting
00:25:01.240 will be a meeting
00:25:01.960 between presidents Putin,
00:25:03.440 Trump and Zelensky
00:25:05.120 where we hope
00:25:06.120 to finalize the deal.
00:25:07.080 We're not there yet,
00:25:07.820 but that's what
00:25:08.240 we're aiming towards.
00:25:09.100 And that's one of the things
00:25:09.860 that was discussed today
00:25:10.820 is how to get to that point.
00:25:12.260 But just the fact
00:25:13.160 that Putin is saying,
00:25:14.140 sure, I'll meet with Zelensky.
00:25:15.620 That's a big deal.
00:25:16.500 I mean, I'm not saying
00:25:17.180 they're going to leave
00:25:17.680 that room best friends.
00:25:19.240 I'm not saying
00:25:19.600 they're going to leave
00:25:20.020 that room with a peace deal.
00:25:21.680 But the fact that people
00:25:22.420 are now talking to each other,
00:25:23.860 this wasn't happening
00:25:24.940 for three and a half years.
00:25:26.200 This was a stalemated war
00:25:27.440 of death and destruction.
00:25:29.040 And let me tell you something.
00:25:29.820 This president hates war
00:25:31.280 and he hates it.
00:25:32.780 He thinks it's a waste of money
00:25:34.380 and a waste of lives.
00:25:35.460 And he has made it a priority.
00:25:37.140 President Trump has
00:25:38.020 to bring about peace.
00:25:39.300 If he sees an opportunity
00:25:40.440 to step in.
00:25:41.920 Holy crap.
00:25:42.880 I can't believe it.
00:25:44.180 Marco Rubio,
00:25:45.680 former senator from California,
00:25:47.660 now the secretary of state.
00:25:49.020 Marco Rubio
00:25:49.840 is saying that war
00:25:51.540 is not worth
00:25:52.440 the money spent
00:25:54.420 or the people lost in it.
00:25:56.060 This is Mr.
00:25:56.860 Neoconservative talking.
00:25:59.080 So what does that tell you?
00:26:00.560 Donald Trump talked
00:26:01.440 to Marco Rubio
00:26:02.360 behind the scenes.
00:26:04.000 Remember he used to call
00:26:04.740 him Little Marco?
00:26:06.640 Donald Trump just had
00:26:07.520 nothing but contempt
00:26:08.840 for Marco Rubio
00:26:09.860 when the two of them
00:26:10.820 were running off
00:26:11.540 against each other
00:26:12.220 for the presidential
00:26:13.240 nomination of the
00:26:14.500 Republican Party
00:26:15.160 in 2016.
00:26:16.540 So Mount Marco Rubio
00:26:19.560 is sounding like
00:26:20.500 Donald Trump,
00:26:21.260 the peace president.
00:26:22.200 What does this all mean?
00:26:23.760 It means that Donald Trump,
00:26:25.360 despite making some comments
00:26:27.000 about guaranteeing,
00:26:29.080 you know,
00:26:29.660 the sovereignty of Ukraine
00:26:31.740 and maybe even having
00:26:33.860 troops on the ground
00:26:34.880 someplace,
00:26:36.260 Donald Trump's back
00:26:37.060 to being a peace president
00:26:37.880 because his secretary of state,
00:26:39.160 who is a neoconservative,
00:26:40.500 is talking like
00:26:41.460 a peace secretary of state.
00:26:44.360 Let's solve this thing.
00:26:45.480 Let's get beyond it
00:26:46.440 because the only people
00:26:48.080 getting rich off of this
00:26:50.100 are the armaments manufacturers.
00:26:53.240 I don't know if Marco
00:26:54.140 owns any stock
00:26:55.200 in Raytheon or Boeing
00:26:57.220 or all the other companies
00:26:59.620 that are enriching themselves
00:27:01.700 off of this war
00:27:02.740 and countless others
00:27:04.040 over the last 50 years.
00:27:07.440 But Marco Rubio
00:27:08.700 has changed his tune
00:27:09.960 and that's because
00:27:10.520 Donald Trump took him aside
00:27:12.220 the same way Lyndon Johnson
00:27:13.620 used to take people aside.
00:27:14.880 point his finger
00:27:16.620 right in the chest
00:27:17.560 and say,
00:27:19.700 you're going to do,
00:27:20.360 you're going to say this,
00:27:21.500 you're going to,
00:27:21.940 you're going to start
00:27:22.600 believing this
00:27:23.700 or else you're not
00:27:25.000 on my team anymore.
00:27:26.660 And that's exactly
00:27:27.660 what's happening here.
00:27:29.840 And broker a peace.
00:27:31.620 He wants to do it.
00:27:32.680 He's been successful
00:27:33.460 already six times
00:27:34.440 in six months
00:27:35.480 and achieving that
00:27:36.420 and he wants to achieve it
00:27:37.580 with Ukraine
00:27:38.020 and Russia as well.
00:27:38.880 And here's another
00:27:44.000 great little clip here.
00:27:45.900 We just spoke to,
00:27:47.360 I was just telling
00:27:48.260 the president,
00:27:49.240 I just spoke to
00:27:49.960 President Putin
00:27:51.180 indirectly
00:27:51.800 and we're going to
00:27:52.800 have a phone call
00:27:53.460 right after these
00:27:54.200 meetings today.
00:27:55.620 And we may or may not
00:27:57.040 have a Trilat.
00:27:57.980 If we don't have a Trilat,
00:27:59.420 then the fighting continues.
00:28:01.320 And if we do,
00:28:02.140 we have a good chance.
00:28:02.840 I think if we have a Trilat,
00:28:03.980 there's a good chance
00:28:04.620 of maybe ending it.
00:28:05.640 But he's expecting my call
00:28:09.180 when we're finished
00:28:10.080 with this meeting.
00:28:11.080 Thank you very much.
00:28:14.860 So he might be sitting
00:28:18.600 right next to old
00:28:19.580 Bolivar, dear Zelensky.
00:28:21.240 And Zelensky is absolutely
00:28:23.700 being taken in by a lot of this.
00:28:25.760 Oh, I'm good friends
00:28:26.960 with Donald Trump again.
00:28:28.160 Donald Trump loves me again.
00:28:30.240 Donald Trump is saying
00:28:31.080 your days are numbered,
00:28:32.160 Bolivar, dear.
00:28:32.620 Your days are numbered,
00:28:34.880 Zelensky,
00:28:35.400 because you're not going
00:28:36.020 to be president of Ukraine
00:28:36.980 much longer.
00:28:37.640 And there won't be Ukraine
00:28:38.760 if we don't have
00:28:39.600 a peace settlement
00:28:40.220 because Ukraine
00:28:41.380 will be swallowed up.
00:28:43.020 So get ready to travel.
00:28:45.100 Get ready to go
00:28:46.340 to your villa in Florida.
00:28:47.840 Get ready to get
00:28:48.960 your Swiss bank account.
00:28:50.840 Get ready to leave Ukraine.
00:28:52.360 You're not going to be
00:28:52.860 there much longer.
00:28:55.220 Zelensky really thinks
00:28:56.500 he's won Trump over.
00:28:58.440 But of course he hasn't.
00:28:59.980 Trump is finally
00:29:01.680 pushing through
00:29:03.000 with the agenda
00:29:03.700 he was elected on.
00:29:05.160 Now, I don't know
00:29:06.040 what happened
00:29:08.100 in the last couple of weeks
00:29:09.660 to change his foreign policy
00:29:11.840 because it was whiplash
00:29:13.080 foreign policy up till now.
00:29:14.960 One week,
00:29:15.980 well, we're going to have
00:29:16.580 peace in Ukraine.
00:29:17.180 Next week,
00:29:17.600 oh, we're going to arm
00:29:18.300 Ukraine to the teeth.
00:29:19.620 One week,
00:29:20.480 I'm the peace president.
00:29:21.840 This is Biden's war.
00:29:23.140 The next week,
00:29:23.820 we're going to keep going
00:29:25.240 until Ukraine is safe.
00:29:28.360 Something has happened.
00:29:29.420 I'm not sure what,
00:29:30.680 but this is definitely
00:29:33.300 the peace president
00:29:34.040 Donald Trump.
00:29:35.200 Your team has talked
00:29:36.140 about security guarantees.
00:29:37.240 Could that involve
00:29:37.900 U.S. troops?
00:29:38.660 Would you rule that out
00:29:39.300 in the future?
00:29:41.460 We'll let you know
00:29:42.660 that maybe later today.
00:29:44.200 We're meeting with
00:29:45.160 seven great leaders
00:29:46.680 of great countries also,
00:29:48.960 and we'll be talking
00:29:49.820 about that.
00:29:50.380 They'll all be involved,
00:29:51.520 but there'll be a lot of
00:29:52.720 help.
00:29:54.460 When it comes to security,
00:29:55.480 there's going to be
00:29:55.900 a lot of help.
00:29:56.440 It's going to be good.
00:29:58.300 They are first line
00:30:00.020 of defense
00:30:00.560 because they're there.
00:30:01.500 They're Europe,
00:30:02.640 but we're going to
00:30:03.280 help them out also.
00:30:04.200 We'll be involved.
00:30:11.160 The main thing
00:30:12.060 to remember here,
00:30:12.840 of course,
00:30:13.640 is that,
00:30:14.600 as Canadians anyway,
00:30:16.120 Mark Carney wasn't there.
00:30:17.280 Mark Carney had nothing
00:30:18.060 to do with this date.
00:30:19.480 Mark Carney has nothing
00:30:20.420 to do with any potential
00:30:21.800 peace settlement
00:30:22.500 in Ukraine.
00:30:23.740 Mark Carney is just promising
00:30:25.100 to give billions of dollars
00:30:26.680 more to Ukraine
00:30:27.620 into that black hole
00:30:28.860 of Kiev,
00:30:29.560 into that bottomless pit.
00:30:32.260 Ukraine's days
00:30:33.220 are numbered,
00:30:34.060 as are Zelensky.
00:30:35.020 So why is Mark Carney
00:30:36.640 promising to send
00:30:37.640 $2.2 billion more
00:30:40.340 to Ukraine?
00:30:41.460 Because Mark Carney
00:30:43.480 can't see reality.
00:30:45.800 And it's continuing
00:30:46.460 with a narrative
00:30:47.980 that unfortunately
00:30:48.900 in this country
00:30:49.480 is shared by both
00:30:50.240 the liberals
00:30:50.600 and the conservatives
00:30:51.820 and all the major parties
00:30:53.000 in this country,
00:30:53.500 that Ukraine somehow
00:30:54.980 can win this war
00:30:56.060 and that somehow
00:30:57.400 Russia had absolutely
00:30:59.900 no reason
00:31:00.760 to be upset
00:31:01.720 with Ukraine.
00:31:03.140 They don't know,
00:31:04.040 obviously,
00:31:04.740 about NATO
00:31:05.780 expanding
00:31:06.420 way beyond
00:31:07.460 the parameters
00:31:08.460 they promised
00:31:09.060 not to expand
00:31:10.060 beyond in 1991.
00:31:12.640 Here's Colonel
00:31:13.540 Douglas MacGregor,
00:31:15.120 who has been on
00:31:15.980 this show
00:31:16.380 several times,
00:31:18.360 to make sense
00:31:19.680 of all this.
00:31:21.860 And Colonel MacGregor,
00:31:22.840 I think we might
00:31:24.580 have him on the show
00:31:25.280 as soon as possible
00:31:27.180 to talk about this
00:31:28.100 because this guy
00:31:29.020 makes sense
00:31:30.200 of everything.
00:31:31.160 But it doesn't
00:31:32.500 look that way.
00:31:33.540 And I think
00:31:34.000 President Trump,
00:31:35.000 if he doesn't
00:31:35.660 understand it,
00:31:36.320 he needs to keep
00:31:37.000 in mind
00:31:37.520 that the CIA,
00:31:39.940 along with MI6
00:31:41.440 in London
00:31:41.880 and to a lesser
00:31:42.640 extent Mossad
00:31:43.640 in this case
00:31:44.240 in Ukraine,
00:31:45.520 are arrayed
00:31:46.320 against him.
00:31:48.080 He's got to
00:31:48.880 understand that
00:31:49.580 whatever he decides
00:31:50.600 to do,
00:31:51.120 whatever orders
00:31:51.780 he issues,
00:31:53.240 he's going
00:31:53.600 to have to
00:31:53.960 follow them up
00:31:54.640 very carefully
00:31:55.280 because the
00:31:56.500 Central Intelligence
00:31:57.220 Agency is into
00:31:58.300 this business
00:31:58.880 up to its neck
00:31:59.720 and they are
00:32:00.940 going to do
00:32:01.540 what they want
00:32:02.340 to do,
00:32:03.440 unless he makes
00:32:04.800 it abundantly
00:32:05.420 clear that he
00:32:06.100 will not tolerate
00:32:07.060 disobedience.
00:32:08.520 So I think
00:32:09.340 that's very important.
00:32:10.660 The second thing
00:32:11.220 is that I think
00:32:12.940 he knows
00:32:13.640 that this will
00:32:15.460 split NATO.
00:32:16.420 the West
00:32:18.060 European
00:32:18.520 globalists
00:32:19.460 that are
00:32:19.860 running NATO
00:32:20.500 and the EU,
00:32:22.560 people like
00:32:22.920 von der Leyen
00:32:23.640 and Ruta
00:32:24.760 and the rest,
00:32:26.220 they are in
00:32:26.920 favor of
00:32:27.440 perpetual war
00:32:28.400 with Russia
00:32:29.480 because,
00:32:30.880 quite frankly,
00:32:31.560 if it stops
00:32:32.560 and the European
00:32:34.220 electorates
00:32:34.780 finally realize
00:32:35.700 they've been
00:32:36.140 lied to constantly
00:32:37.180 from the beginning
00:32:37.820 about the Russians,
00:32:39.300 these governments
00:32:40.080 are not going
00:32:40.560 to last very long.
00:32:41.800 They're afraid
00:32:42.440 of that.
00:32:43.360 So it's very
00:32:43.960 important to them.
00:32:44.760 They don't care
00:32:45.660 about Ukraine.
00:32:46.480 They're not
00:32:46.820 particularly worried
00:32:47.600 about global
00:32:48.740 peace or anything
00:32:49.560 else.
00:32:50.400 They simply
00:32:50.900 want to stay
00:32:51.560 in power.
00:32:52.200 They can't stay
00:32:52.880 in power
00:32:53.420 if this ends
00:32:55.020 because people
00:32:55.640 are going to say,
00:32:56.140 well, listen,
00:32:56.720 this is remarkably
00:32:57.640 stupid.
00:32:58.680 Why did you
00:32:59.200 drag us into this?
00:33:00.180 Why did you
00:33:01.020 de-industrialize
00:33:02.100 us over this
00:33:02.780 business?
00:33:03.840 So I think
00:33:04.360 President Trump
00:33:05.080 knows that.
00:33:05.840 The question is
00:33:06.720 how far is he
00:33:08.240 willing to go
00:33:08.940 because inevitably
00:33:10.540 I think this
00:33:11.480 will lead to
00:33:12.380 the dissolution
00:33:12.960 of NATO
00:33:13.400 and everybody's
00:33:13.960 going to act
00:33:14.340 like, oh my
00:33:15.100 goodness, we
00:33:16.380 can't live
00:33:16.780 without NATO.
00:33:17.560 Well, that's
00:33:18.620 wrong.
00:33:19.440 We can all
00:33:19.980 live without
00:33:20.340 NATO, but
00:33:21.040 they don't
00:33:22.680 think the
00:33:23.160 Russians will
00:33:23.740 cross that
00:33:24.280 river, come
00:33:25.380 into Kiev and
00:33:26.600 eliminate the
00:33:27.300 regime.
00:33:28.300 I happen to
00:33:29.120 think they're
00:33:29.520 wrong, but
00:33:31.220 that is part
00:33:31.820 of the problem.
00:33:32.560 Some of your
00:33:33.420 viewers may
00:33:34.080 remember, maybe
00:33:35.440 not, at the
00:33:36.140 end of the
00:33:36.840 Gulf War in
00:33:37.640 1991, when it
00:33:40.780 became clear that
00:33:41.520 we were willing
00:33:42.080 to call a
00:33:42.900 ceasefire and
00:33:44.500 not advance
00:33:45.140 any further,
00:33:46.020 despite the
00:33:46.580 fact that we
00:33:47.240 had allowed
00:33:47.740 most of the
00:33:48.280 Republican
00:33:48.660 guard to
00:33:49.300 escape.
00:33:50.920 And I
00:33:51.160 watched that
00:33:51.840 grim chapter in
00:33:54.440 our history, in
00:33:54.980 my judgment.
00:33:55.580 But nevertheless,
00:33:56.720 that happened.
00:33:57.960 And as soon as
00:33:58.480 Saddam asked the
00:33:59.340 question, are they
00:34:01.160 crossing the
00:34:02.280 Euphrates River?
00:34:03.080 And the answer
00:34:03.520 came back, no.
00:34:04.340 He got up and
00:34:04.980 danced around the
00:34:05.720 table and started
00:34:06.940 celebrating.
00:34:07.460 I think that's
00:34:08.740 what you're
00:34:09.060 dealing with in
00:34:09.900 Kyiv.
00:34:10.780 These people
00:34:11.340 figure, if we
00:34:12.560 sit here and
00:34:13.460 refuse to
00:34:14.160 negotiate, refuse
00:34:15.100 to cooperate,
00:34:16.560 insist on
00:34:17.140 fighting to the
00:34:17.800 bitter end, the
00:34:19.260 Russians won't
00:34:19.840 cross that river.
00:34:20.940 We'll get away
00:34:21.500 with it, and
00:34:21.980 then people will
00:34:22.560 have to support
00:34:23.240 us.
00:34:23.920 I think that's
00:34:24.480 the problem.
00:34:26.380 All right.
00:34:27.160 Here's what I've
00:34:27.780 been waiting to
00:34:28.380 ask you all
00:34:29.280 weekend since I
00:34:30.300 first heard
00:34:31.820 this phrase.
00:34:33.640 What security
00:34:34.880 guarantee?
00:34:35.600 What are they
00:34:37.880 talking about?
00:34:39.320 Oh, a security
00:34:40.160 guarantee, but
00:34:41.040 not NATO.
00:34:41.940 Oh, it'll
00:34:42.360 include the
00:34:43.520 And you have
00:34:44.720 to remember,
00:34:45.280 folks, Justin
00:34:46.380 Trudeau, when he
00:34:47.000 was prime
00:34:47.320 minister, offered
00:34:48.520 the same security
00:34:49.900 guarantee to
00:34:51.400 Ukraine.
00:34:52.140 So what does
00:34:52.660 it mean that
00:34:53.980 we're prepared
00:34:54.780 to go to
00:34:55.420 nuclear war if
00:34:57.400 Ukraine's
00:34:58.060 sovereignty is
00:34:58.740 endangered?
00:35:00.020 If Ukraine is
00:35:01.100 attacked again?
00:35:01.900 What does it
00:35:02.720 mean?
00:35:03.000 It's not being
00:35:03.700 defined.
00:35:04.920 And I think
00:35:05.280 Colonel McGregor
00:35:05.940 actually goes a
00:35:06.900 long way to
00:35:07.900 describe what
00:35:08.800 in the hell
00:35:09.300 this really
00:35:09.740 means.
00:35:10.200 United States,
00:35:11.000 France, Great
00:35:11.620 Britain, Germany,
00:35:12.640 and the coup
00:35:13.020 from Brussels, but
00:35:13.780 not Brussels, but
00:35:14.660 not NATO?
00:35:16.440 Who are they
00:35:17.120 trying to kid?
00:35:18.320 Well, a lot
00:35:19.460 of people, and
00:35:20.160 let's hope that
00:35:20.960 President Trump
00:35:21.580 isn't one of
00:35:22.140 them.
00:35:22.360 First of all,
00:35:23.020 the President of
00:35:23.740 the United
00:35:24.100 States should
00:35:25.620 not be prepared
00:35:26.460 to guarantee
00:35:27.060 anything over
00:35:27.900 which we have
00:35:28.660 no actual
00:35:29.660 control and
00:35:30.300 influence.
00:35:31.420 And I think
00:35:32.060 we're going to
00:35:32.380 find out if
00:35:34.400 things happen,
00:35:35.160 as I think
00:35:35.620 they will,
00:35:36.680 that we really
00:35:37.300 don't have
00:35:37.880 control or
00:35:38.480 influence over
00:35:39.300 Zelensky and
00:35:40.120 what he does
00:35:40.680 or doesn't do.
00:35:42.180 And therefore,
00:35:42.840 how can you
00:35:43.460 guarantee any
00:35:44.200 arrangement that
00:35:45.000 is reached that
00:35:45.680 involves him and
00:35:46.460 his current
00:35:46.900 government?
00:35:48.060 So I hope
00:35:48.800 that, I hope
00:35:49.840 President Trump
00:35:50.580 reels back in
00:35:52.840 shock from that
00:35:53.520 one.
00:35:53.740 I did hear
00:35:54.300 more intelligence,
00:35:56.520 intelligent and
00:35:57.680 balanced remarks
00:35:58.560 from Secretary
00:35:59.220 Rubio, who was
00:36:01.060 somewhat more
00:36:01.960 nuanced, keep in
00:36:03.420 mind, that
00:36:04.980 it needs to
00:36:14.760 be abandoned
00:36:15.280 100%.
00:36:16.240 However, the
00:36:18.420 people that
00:36:18.980 border Ukraine,
00:36:20.660 Lithuania,
00:36:21.440 Poland, Slovakia,
00:36:22.800 Hungary, Moldova,
00:36:24.260 Romania, those
00:36:25.760 states have an
00:36:26.720 interest in
00:36:28.360 peace in
00:36:29.000 Ukraine.
00:36:29.880 They have an
00:36:30.500 interest in a
00:36:31.400 new relationship
00:36:32.280 with Moscow.
00:36:33.420 They need to
00:36:34.740 sit down and
00:36:35.660 work that out
00:36:36.500 with Moscow
00:36:37.140 directly.
00:36:38.340 We should be
00:36:39.000 prepared to
00:36:39.540 support that
00:36:40.140 and assist it.
00:36:41.700 In other
00:36:41.900 words, we
00:36:42.200 should encourage
00:36:42.860 it.
00:36:43.580 But we can't
00:36:44.300 guarantee anything
00:36:45.460 from 6,000,
00:36:46.480 7,000 miles
00:36:47.440 away that
00:36:47.960 happens in
00:36:48.480 Ukraine.
00:36:51.380 And that's
00:36:52.220 exactly it.
00:36:53.620 I'll be back
00:36:54.560 in a minute
00:36:54.960 here with some
00:36:55.800 concluding remarks
00:36:56.820 and a little
00:36:57.520 more information
00:36:58.340 after this
00:36:59.440 brief message
00:37:00.120 from the
00:37:00.620 store.
00:37:03.420 other
00:37:12.760 people
00:37:15.480 are
00:37:16.440 Phoebe
00:37:16.820 who
00:37:17.660 do
00:37:18.120 the
00:37:25.880 the
00:37:30.800 We'll be right back.
00:38:00.800 We'll be right back.
00:38:30.800 We'll be right back.
00:39:00.800 We'll be right back.
00:39:30.780 And so Vladimir Putin strategically, he wants to drag this out as long as possible.
00:39:36.760 So I think he'll be in no hurry to have that second meeting, that meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky.
00:39:41.940 What Donald Trump has made clear is that Ukraine is not getting Crimea back.
00:39:47.040 Crimea, of course, was invaded by Russia in 2014.
00:39:50.320 They illegally took it.
00:39:51.340 They've annexed it.
00:39:52.440 Donald Trump's made clear that's not a possibility.
00:39:55.100 Vladimir Putin does not want Ukraine to join NATO.
00:39:58.740 Donald Trump has said Ukraine will not join NATO.
00:40:01.480 And this is where it's been a bit insidious and a bit sinister, the way that Donald Trump has been echoing the Vladimir Putin talking points, almost word for word, which I think raises questions about what is the reason Donald Trump seems to be either in awe or in fear of Vladimir Putin.
00:40:20.200 But he has said that Crimea is not to be returned.
00:40:23.980 Donald Trump has said NATO is not on the cards.
00:40:26.480 However, the concession that the European leaders have got here today, this is the big one, is the security guarantee.
00:40:33.920 Because from Ukraine's point of view and the Europeans, if they do a deal with.
00:40:39.100 OK, I say again, Trump was victorious yesterday because he's got he's got the Europeans and even the mainstream media to accept the fact that Crimea ain't going back to Ukraine.
00:40:51.160 Crimea is Russian.
00:40:52.340 OK, what else?
00:40:55.000 Ukraine's not going to join NATO.
00:40:56.860 Even NATO finally seems to be agreeing to that.
00:41:00.960 And what do they get in return?
00:41:02.360 Donald Trump guaranteeing the security of Ukraine, which absolutely means nothing.
00:41:08.780 Because this guy, this ABC reporter from Australia, Australia, I didn't know ABC had a station in Australia, is saying, well, that's this is the big win for the European Union.
00:41:22.920 They've got Donald Trump to guarantee the security of Ukraine, which absolutely means nothing.
00:41:29.280 So Donald Trump has pushed through the agenda he's trying.
00:41:35.460 He has tried to push through since January, which is we've got to get to reality in this situation and move beyond what the warmongers in the European Union and NATO want.
00:41:47.760 And as Colonel McGregor said, the best before date for NATO has passed.
00:41:54.680 And Colonel McGregor and I, as I pointed out previously, we were in Bosnia at the same time.
00:42:02.240 He was a senior leader in NATO as a as a United States Army officer, writing the policy.
00:42:11.380 I was a Canadian Air Force officer working with NATO, implementing the talking points.
00:42:19.680 Colonel McGregor is saying NATO is finished because it doesn't serve a rational objective anymore.
00:42:26.480 It's all about fomenting war with Russia and nothing else and keeping a lot of people in high paid jobs.
00:42:34.520 I say the same thing.
00:42:36.580 It's exactly why we have to move beyond this mentality that says we can't live without NATO.
00:42:43.480 And as Colonel McGregor says, yes, we can.
00:42:46.400 So to get back to the premise of today's show, huge victory for Pierre Pauly, a huge humiliation for Mark Carney.
00:42:54.720 And why did I wear this shirt?
00:42:57.500 Crayton's right.
00:42:58.080 Because I guessed 80 percent for Pierre Pauly in that by-election.
00:43:03.580 Now, why do I say that?
00:43:04.900 Because I'm always wrong with my political predictions.
00:43:08.380 I predicted Jason Kenney would never be the premier of Alberta.
00:43:11.760 I predicted Daniel Smith would be premier of Alberta years before she was.
00:43:17.900 I predicted Pierre Pauly would win the last federal election in a narrow victory, in a minority or perhaps small majority victory.
00:43:28.100 I was totally wrong about that.
00:43:29.820 I think this is the first time I've ever made a political prediction where I was dead on.
00:43:34.100 So I'm very proud of that.
00:43:35.960 So very proud.
00:43:38.880 Thank you for watching today.
00:43:40.960 It's always a pleasure.
00:43:43.600 766 comments today.
00:43:46.060 Well, thank you so much for watching the show.
00:43:48.580 Thank you for being a part of Crayton's right.
00:43:50.780 We're going to go onwards and upwards from here.
00:43:53.020 Thank you very much.
00:43:53.720 Thank you.
