Transcript

00:00:00.000 Well, finally, the 2024 Republican primaries can begin in earnest today.
00:00:04.000 Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida, long-awaited, long-expected, will announce his campaign for the presidency.
00:00:09.000 He has like $150 million in the bank.
00:00:12.000 He is ranked second to Donald Trump in virtually all the polls.
00:00:15.000 In the national polling, Trump has a very solid lead over DeSantis.
00:00:18.000 In the state polling, things are a little bit more dicey.
00:00:20.000 For Donald Trump, this race has not yet begun.
00:00:22.000 For people who are suggesting the race is preliminarily over, let me remind everybody that back in 2008, the two nominees for the Republican and the Democratic Party respectively at this point in the race were supposed to be Rudy Giuliani and Hillary Clinton.
00:00:33.000 And of course, none of that happened.
00:00:34.000 These races are unpredictable.
00:00:36.000 Obviously, Trump has the upper hand going in considering that he's the former president of the United States of the hammerlock on 25 to 30 percent of the Republican base.
00:00:43.000 But that does not mean that he is not a vulnerable incumbent candidate.
00:00:46.000 He is a candidate who lost in 2020 and 2021 and 2022.
00:00:51.000 He is a person who's going to have to run at Ron DeSantis from the left, not from the right.
00:00:56.000 he really has never faced a candidate quite as determined and I think methodical as DeSantis in a Republican primary.
00:01:05.000 In the last Republican primary in 2016, of course, all the other Republicans bumper card each other,
00:01:10.000 leaving a wide open lane for Donald Trump to run straight up the middle.
00:01:13.000 Rubio and Cruz, they went after each other.
00:01:15.000 Chris Christie performed a political murder suicide during a New Hampshire primary debate with Marco Rubio.
00:01:21.000 You had a bunch of candidates who kind of stayed in too long, splitting the vote a bunch of different ways.
00:01:24.000 and Trump was able to run right up the middle in that race.
00:01:27.000 This race appears that it's going to break down probably into a two-man race at this point, barring some sort of cataclysmic circumstance between DeSantis and Trump.
00:01:35.000 That is a very clear alternative if you are somebody who believes in sort of conservative governance and solid ability to actually Get your agenda through.
00:01:44.000 Then DeSantis is your guy for looking for colorful.
00:01:46.000 If you're looking for provocative, then Donald Trump is probably your guy, right?
00:01:50.000 Those are sort of how the factors break down here.
00:01:53.000 There's a lot of personal loyalty, obviously, for a lot of Republicans for Trump because they think that he was a good president.
00:01:57.000 I think that the first three years of his presidency were quite good as well.
00:02:00.000 I think the last year was kind of a disaster area with his handling of COVID and the riots.
00:02:04.000 But with all of that said, This is essentially a two-person race.
00:02:07.000 Now, the way that Ron DeSantis is about to launch his campaign is quite fascinating.
00:02:12.000 And you can see everybody who's upset about it.
00:02:15.000 People in the media are upset about it.
00:02:16.000 Trump's team, obviously, upset about it.
00:02:18.000 Because he's doing something different and, frankly, somewhat creative.
00:02:21.000 There's an attempt to pigeonhole DeSantis as, quote-unquote, too online, which is a weird rip on somebody who won a swing state by 20 points in the last gubernatorial election cycle and somebody who bucked all the conventional wisdom with regard to COVID and somehow emerged stronger for all of that.
00:02:36.000 The way that DeSantis is launching his campaign is not with a traditional rally in the manner of Tim Scott or Nikki Haley or something.
00:02:42.000 The way that he is launching his campaign is not with a campaign video like Joe Biden from his basement.
00:02:47.000 Instead, Ron DeSantis is going to announce his campaign for the presidency on Twitter.
00:02:52.000 Now, there are a lot of people who are freaking out about this in the media because, frankly, it is a full-scale rejection of legacy media.
00:02:57.000 One thing DeSantis is doing here that no other Republican really has done is he's just ignoring the legacy media.
00:03:03.000 So Donald Trump actually had a lot of interactions, if you recall, back in 2016 with the legacy media.
00:03:07.000 He was very friendly with Joe and Mika over on MSNBC.
00:03:10.000 He would appear on pretty much any show.
00:03:11.000 He was going everywhere and he got a ton of earned media from that.
00:03:14.000 DeSantis Who knows that he's being targeted by the legacy media.
00:03:18.000 He just doesn't do interviews with them because he knows that they are going to ask him ridiculous questions or edit him out of context.
00:03:24.000 And so instead, what he has done is interviews with media who are not going to ask him ridiculous questions.
00:03:28.000 And then he will answer questions from legacy media members during press conferences.
00:03:32.000 And he tends to face plant a lot of these reporters during the press conferences because, again, it's live and they can't actually edit it.
00:03:38.000 So how exactly is he launching?
00:03:40.000 He's launching in a Twitter space with Elon Musk.
00:03:42.000 So people are trying to play this, of course, as some sort of minor league launch.
00:03:46.000 That is a weird take, considering that Elon Musk is probably America's most famous person at this point.
00:03:51.000 Elon Musk has 141 million Twitter followers, says Elon Musk.
00:03:56.000 And the fact that he is launching on Twitter space is obvious.
00:03:59.000 Listen, Tucker Carlson, when he decided that he was going to put out a statement about
00:04:03.000 relaunching his show on Twitter, that statement had something like 25, 30, 35 million views
00:04:08.000 as compared to his Fox News show, which every night had like 3 million viewers.
00:04:12.000 So you're talking about orders of magnitude, more penetration in terms of audience reach.
00:04:17.000 If you do it via Twitter spaces and you get a big crowd, then you would if you did it on any sort of normal network.
00:04:22.000 Plus the news is going to cover whatever he does on Twitter anyway.
00:04:25.000 It's actually quite a smart move.
00:04:26.000 And again, Elon Musk is seen as freewheeling and interesting and creative.
00:04:29.000 And this puts DeSantis squarely in that space, according to Fox News.
00:04:32.000 Sources familiar confirmed that the popular conservative governor will declare he's a candidate for president on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
00:04:38.000 Eastern during a conversation with Elon Musk on Twitter.
00:04:40.000 Along with his announcement, DeSantis is expected to file paperwork with the FEC, which officially launches his GOP presidential campaign.
00:04:46.000 His first national TV interview following the announcement will be with Trey Gowdy Wednesday at 8 p.m.
00:04:50.000 Eastern on Fox News Tonight.
00:04:53.000 Now, of course, Trump's team is immediately claiming that this is a way for him to avoid people, but that's a strange thing, because how is it avoiding people?
00:05:02.000 If you did a rally, it's not as though when you do a rally you're actually interacting with tons of people.
00:05:05.000 You're not.
00:05:05.000 You're on a stage and a lot of people are cheering for you, and then you walk off the stage and security whisks you away.
00:05:09.000 I know, I've done many rallies.
00:05:11.000 Well, when you announce on Twitter with interaction with other people on Twitter, that actually is more interactive, not less interactive.
00:05:17.000 But a Trump advisor told Fox News, quote, announcing on Twitter is perfect for Ron DeSantis.
00:05:21.000 This way, he doesn't have to interact with people and the media can't ask him any questions.
00:05:24.000 And now again, DeSantis answers questions from the media.
00:05:27.000 He just refuses to do sit-down interviews with people who are determined, bound and determined, to lie about him at every turn.
00:05:33.000 I mean, they're doing this again today.
00:05:35.000 They've been doing it for the last couple of weeks.
00:05:36.000 Everything from Casey DeSantis is Lady Macbeth to the so-called Don't Say Gay Bill in Florida, to Florida being run by Ron DeSantis.
00:05:43.000 The number of lies that DeSantis has had to take on from the legacy media.
00:05:47.000 Listen, I'm all admiration for any Republican governor or any Republican senator or any Republican president.
00:05:51.000 Who tells legacy media to screw off?
00:05:53.000 They're terrible at their jobs, they lie for a habit, and there is no reason why you should give them ratings and you should give them the credibility of pretending that they actually are not biased intermediaries in the middle of this campaign.
00:06:06.000 A formal campaign kickoff event will likely take place sometime after this week's gathering of top donors and bundlers.
00:06:10.000 No details have yet been shared by the campaign.
00:06:14.000 Now, again, doing it on Twitter is an active slap at the media.
00:06:17.000 It's something that really is good for Elon Musk's Twitter.
00:06:21.000 And Musk, it's a big win for Musk.
00:06:23.000 I mean, it's a big win for Twitter.
00:06:24.000 It's a big win for Musk.
00:06:25.000 Again, we here at Daily Wire fully realize the potential that exists in the new Twitter under Elon Musk, which is why all of our shows, all of those things are going to be available on Twitter because it's a free speech medium that is not going to shut us down the way that, say, YouTube shut down Matt Walsh.
00:06:40.000 And so Twitter is going to be a new place that threatens the media, threatens a lot of the old guard, even tech media.
00:06:47.000 And DeSantis is jumping right in the middle of that.
00:06:49.000 I think it's actually quite a smart move, because if he did it in sort of traditional fashion, the rip would be he's doing a traditional rally.
00:06:54.000 What's to cover?
00:06:55.000 Who cares?
00:06:56.000 Doing it this way, that's a lot of earned media right off the bat.

00:08:00.000 Get 20% off site-wide for Memorial Day.
00:08:03.000 Okay, so, naturally, the media are hot and bothered about all of this.
00:08:09.000 The Atlantic has a piece by Charlie Worzel, who used to write for the New York Times.
00:08:13.000 So he has a resume filled with legacy media outlets called, Twitter is a far-right social network.
00:08:18.000 It can no longer be denied.
00:08:21.000 And again, the entire piece is about how evil and terrible Elon Musk is.
00:08:24.000 How they point out, quote, earlier today, NBC News reported that Florida Governor Ron
00:08:28.000 DeSantis is slated to kick off his 2024 presidential campaign in a Twitter spaces event with Musk.
00:08:33.000 Twitter quite literally is a launchpad for right wing political leaders.
00:08:36.000 Also today, the Daily Wire, the conservative media juggernaut that is home to Ben Shapiro,
00:08:39.000 as well as to political commentators Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles, who are known for
00:08:42.000 arguing against trans rights, announced it would bring its entire slate of podcasts to
00:08:46.000 Twitter starting next week.
00:08:48.000 Again, smart move by DeSantis to simply end around the mainstream media, especially who
00:08:52.000 are the mainstream media?
00:08:53.000 The people of the Atlantic who are a joke and speak to a very small audience of select
00:08:58.000 coastal left wingers.
00:09:00.000 Or Vanity Fair, which put out a report titled, quote, Report, Ron DeSantis will formally announce his 2024 bid with Elon Musk because apparently David Duke wasn't available.
00:09:09.000 That's an actual headline from Vanity Fair.
00:09:10.000 Again, the idea is that if you're in favor of free speech and you wish to let a thousand flowers bloom with regard to free speech, then you are akin to David Duke.
00:09:18.000 Famously a pro-free speech person, David Duke.
00:09:20.000 So the media are fighting mad about this.
00:09:22.000 Even Fox & Friends is laughing about this.
00:09:23.000 And I understand why Fox & Friends would.
00:09:25.000 Again, Fox & Friends is a network media outlet, right?
00:09:29.000 It's a cable news outlet.
00:09:31.000 And so the internet is very threatening to places like Fox News.
00:09:34.000 Not a super shock that they would find it threatening that Musk is not, that DeSantis is not launching on Fox & Friends.
00:09:39.000 He's launching with Musk on Twitter.
00:09:42.000 So he's going to make the big announcement with Elon Musk at six o'clock tonight on Twitter Spaces.
00:09:48.000 What the heck is Twitter Spaces?
00:09:51.000 I wish I knew more about it.
00:09:54.000 I think he's trying to make it better, right?
00:09:56.000 Sounds like a video function.
00:09:56.000 Yeah, right?
00:09:57.000 There's a button somewhere.
00:09:57.000 We've heard that they want to do some streaming and some podcasts and that kind of thing.
00:10:01.000 I think it's fascinating that they're using social media as a way to announce a presidency.
00:10:08.000 Okay, honestly, people on Fox & Friends, and we don't know what Twitter Space is on, is of little relevance to the fact that the number of eyeballs that DeSantis is going to... I mean, it's not like Fox & Friends isn't going to cover DeSantis' announcement on Twitter Spaces.
00:10:20.000 They will.
00:10:20.000 Plus, he's appearing on Fox that night with Trey Gowdy.
00:10:24.000 So, again, the entire schtick here by members of sort of the legacy media, television media, Of course they're angry.
00:10:31.000 They should be angry.
00:10:32.000 Because DeSantis is ending around them.
00:10:34.000 He is making their entire play irrelevant.
00:10:36.000 And that, of course, is an extension of stuff that Donald Trump did back in 2016.
00:10:39.000 So Trump was using network media in order to get mainstream coverage.
00:10:43.000 It's why he had Maggie Haberman of the New York Times on speed dial.
00:10:46.000 Whenever Maggie Haberman cited a source inside the Trump campaign, dirty secret is it was either Steve Bannon or Trump himself.
00:10:51.000 Those were the only two people talking to Maggie Haberman over at the Trump campaign, so far as I'm aware.
00:10:56.000 Okay, but Trump was also doing something else, which was very clever at the time.
00:10:59.000 People pointed it out.
00:11:00.000 He was using Twitter to go around the media.
00:11:02.000 He was using Twitter as a laser on the wall, and then the mainstream media would jump like cats to try and swat the laser on the wall.
00:11:09.000 And so DeSantis is doing the same thing, except in a much bigger fashion by announcing, with Musk, on Twitter spaces.
00:11:16.000 So again, the mainstream media response is coming in two forms.
00:11:20.000 Form one is they're just angry that they are being edged out of the process.
00:11:24.000 And then form two is that they are angry that Ron DeSantis is running at all.
00:11:30.000 The Democrats would much prefer to run against Donald Trump.
00:11:33.000 They think that Trump is more beatable because Joe Biden won in 2020.
00:11:36.000 And so they think that Trump is likely to run directly into a mountain.
00:11:40.000 And so why wouldn't they want to see that guy nominated?
00:11:42.000 Again, this is what Joe Biden, it's not like they've hidden the ball here.
00:11:44.000 Joe Biden openly said in interviews like six months ago, he was asked, are you going to run again?
00:11:49.000 And he was saying, I'm not sure.
00:11:50.000 And then he was.
00:11:51.000 And then the question was, if Trump wins the nomination, will you?
00:11:53.000 And he said, absolutely.
00:11:55.000 Right or wrong, Democrats have the perception that Donald Trump is easier to run against.
00:12:00.000 Which is why, presumably, they're all going after Ron DeSantis, tooth and nail.
00:12:03.000 I haven't seen them going after Nikki Haley this way.
00:12:05.000 They're not going after Tim Scott this way.
00:12:07.000 They're only going after one candidate in the Republican primaries this way, and it is not Donald Trump!
00:12:11.000 Donald Trump, they already have their rip on, but you're starting to see a strange new respect emerge for Donald Trump from some of the weirdest people in the online space.
00:12:20.000 So, for example, Bill Kristol, who hates Donald Trump, left the Republican Party, basically became a Democrat over all of this.
00:12:24.000 Bill Kristol, he put out a statement today, quote, I tend perhaps foolishly to discount the alpha beta male stuff, but DeSantis was always on Fox when Rupert was for him.
00:12:33.000 Now he announces on Twitter when Elon's for him.
00:12:34.000 Kind of beta, no?
00:12:35.000 Trump does CNN town hall, goes into the pseudo lion's den, looks kind of alpha, no?
00:12:39.000 So you got Bill Kristol talking up Trump.
00:12:42.000 Okay, question.
00:12:43.000 Why?
00:12:43.000 Why would he do such a thing?
00:12:45.000 I think we all know the answer.
00:12:46.000 Nina Turner, who is a left-wing activist at Race Power Policy, and she is on The Young Turks as well, she tweeted out, Ron DeSantis couldn't beat Donald Duck.
00:12:57.000 How the hell does he think he's gonna fare against Donald Trump?
00:12:58.000 Again, the level of left-wing hatred for DeSantis is actually stronger in some ways than the hatred for Trump.
00:13:05.000 Not in the same way.
00:13:06.000 The Trump hatred is visceral.
00:13:10.000 Obviously they hate both Republicans, but they would like to see Donald Trump actually... I think there are a lot of Democrats who would like to see him actually plot.
00:13:17.000 Like, keel over.
00:13:18.000 But, in terms of who they'd like to see win the nomination, I don't think there's any question about this, which is why Hillary Clinton yesterday was targeting Ron DeSantis.
00:13:24.000 So Hillary put out a ridiculous tweet yesterday, as is her want, So first of all, this is like the perfect Hillary Clinton tweet.
00:13:31.000 Let me just point out that her coalition is extraordinarily rich corporations and people of color and gay people.
00:13:36.000 Hillary Clinton tweet. Let me just point out that her coalition is extraordinarily
00:13:40.000 rich corporations and people of color and gay people. That is her... those are...
00:13:45.000 it's a weird coalition, I will grant you that. But this is Hillary Clinton going
00:13:50.000 after DeSantis, suggesting that Florida isn't safe for people of color.
00:13:53.000 I mean, first of all, can we just point out that Florida is largely people of color?
00:13:57.000 Florida is actually 52.7% white alone.
00:13:59.000 Okay, so just barely a majority white, 26.8% Hispanic or Latino, and 17% black.
00:14:07.000 Florida is a very diverse state.
00:14:08.000 So this notion that Florida, I mean, go to Miami.
00:14:11.000 Miami is a very, very diverse city.
00:14:13.000 In fact, South Florida is basically like Latinos, blacks, and Jews.
00:14:18.000 I know, I live here.
00:14:20.000 This notion that Florida is like an overwhelmingly white rural state is absurd.
00:14:25.000 And Ron DeSantis has won all those places, but that's what Hillary Clinton is angry about.
00:14:28.000 Meanwhile, Corinne Jean-Pierre, world's White House press secretary, she's doing the same thing, attacking DeSantis over this bizarre and stupid NAACP travel warning.
00:14:36.000 The NAACP put out some statements suggesting that it was unsafe for black people to travel to Florida, which is weird since literally every spring break, Miami Beach is filled with black Americans who are traveling to Florida to party it up.
00:14:48.000 What do you say to what the NAACP has done?
00:14:51.000 I mean, they're following behind other groups, be it groups on race or LGBTQ+, but they're making a bold statement.
00:14:58.000 What do you say to this?
00:14:59.000 So, I'm not going to comment on travel advisories specifically, but I'll say this more broadly, and where we have been as an administration, as a White House, we've been outspoken about the impact of misguided policies advanced by Florida lawmakers.
00:15:16.000 Republicans in Florida have attacked diversity, they've attacked inclusion efforts, they've limited the teaching of black history, and they've launched attacks on the LGBT youth.
00:15:30.000 The LGBT youth?
00:15:31.000 These are ridiculous, ridiculous.
00:15:32.000 But you can see their hatred for DeSantis because, again, they don't want DeSantis to get the nomination.
00:15:37.000 They hate Trump more, but they're also less afraid of Trump.
00:15:39.000 Both of those things can be true simultaneously.
00:15:42.000 Again, just one second, we'll get to the Trump team's response to all of this.
00:15:45.000 First, let's talk about the fact that right now, the U.S.
00:15:49.000 dollar, it's solid compared to a lot of other places, but there is a reason the price of gold has been going up lately.
00:15:54.000 And the reason for that is because we are watching as global inflation has kicked in over the course of the last couple of years.
00:15:59.000 Gold is, in fact, your safe haven against financial uncertainty, inflation.
00:16:05.000 When you have central banks that are basically Ramping up and ramping down the value of the dollar at any point, you need to have some form of diversification.
00:16:14.000 Gold historically has been that form.
00:16:16.000 You can own gold in a tax shelter retirement account with the help of Birch Gold.
00:16:19.000 That's correct.
00:16:20.000 Birch Gold will help you convert an existing IRA or 401k, maybe from a previous employer, into an IRA in gold.
00:16:24.000 The best part?
00:16:25.000 You don't pay a penny out of pocket.
00:16:26.000 I bought gold from Birchgold in preparation for uncertain economic times, and you can trust them as well.
00:16:31.000 When currencies fail, gold is a safe haven.
00:16:33.000 How much more time does the dollar have?
00:16:34.000 I don't know, but you should protect your savings with gold the way that I did.
00:16:37.000 Birchgold has an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
00:16:39.000 Thousands of happy customers.
00:16:41.000 Text BEN to 989898.
00:16:42.000 Get your free info kit on gold.
00:16:44.000 Again, text BEN to 989898 and protect your savings today.
00:16:50.000 Team Trump's response is, of course, entirely dismissive.
00:16:54.000 It's a little bit fragmentary.
00:16:55.000 I should point out here that there is a preview video that was put up by Casey DeSantis, who is a real asset to DeSantis' campaign.
00:17:03.000 The media have been going after Casey in a way that they really have not gone after a political wife.
00:17:06.000 Remember, the rules in the media are that if you say that Dr. Jill Biden is not, in fact, a doctor because she can't help anyone with a heart attack, she's a doctorate of education, which is ridiculous.
00:17:14.000 I'm sorry.
00:17:14.000 In the same way that she is a doctor, I am a doctor.
00:17:16.000 I have a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
00:17:18.000 That makes me significantly more of a doctor than Jill Biden, who has a doctorate of, like, junior college education.
00:17:24.000 But remember, you must respect the doctor in Dr. Jill's name.
00:17:28.000 Casey DeSantis is like Lady Macbeth.
00:17:29.000 So she tweeted out a promo video for DeSantis' campaign.
00:17:33.000 Here it was.
00:17:38.000 They call it faith because in the face of darkness, you can see that brighter future.
00:17:43.000 A faith that our best days lay ahead of us.
00:17:47.000 But is it worth the fight?
00:17:50.000 Do I have the courage?
00:17:52.000 Is it worth the sacrifice?
00:17:54.000 America has been worth it.
00:17:56.000 Every.
00:17:57.000 Single.
00:17:58.000 Time.
00:17:58.000 Okay, that's a pretty good video.
00:18:04.000 Then it's the text launch to 512345, right, with the logo coming up for Descentus' campaign.
00:18:11.000 Okay, so Trump's response is pretty much exactly what you would think it is.
00:18:15.000 He tweeted out a piece from Wayne Allen Root calling on DeSantis to step down and said, please stand down.
00:18:23.000 This is what Trump tweeted out.
00:18:25.000 And then he put out another couple of statements via Truth Social.
00:18:28.000 Now, again, what's kind of amazing about this is that Trump has relegated himself to Truth Social, even though Musk readmitted him to Twitter.
00:18:34.000 So originally, he was kicked off of Twitter, which was unconscionable and ridiculous.
00:18:37.000 And we said that at the time.
00:18:39.000 Now, Trump, he could have been back on Twitter, but he started this Truth Social business, and so he is putting his own business interests at Truth Social ahead of his political interests.
00:18:48.000 The man has 87 million followers on Twitter.
00:18:50.000 Why he's not back on Twitter is absolutely beyond me in the middle of a presidential campaign.
00:18:54.000 But he put out a couple of statements, quote, look, Rob DeSanctimonious, Rob, Rob DeSanctimonious came to me asking for help.
00:19:01.000 He was losing badly by 31 points to popular agricultural commissioner, Adam Putnam, who's getting ready to drop out of the race, ran a terrible campaign.
00:19:09.000 Ron told me he had one last chance, my support and endorsement, which Putnam and everyone else wanted also.
00:19:14.000 I gave it to Ron and the race was over.
00:19:16.000 In one day, he went from losing badly to winning by a lot.
00:19:18.000 With three large Trump rallies, he won the general in an upset.
00:19:21.000 Disloyal!
00:19:22.000 Now, I have a question.
00:19:23.000 Are you going to vote for a Republican candidate for president based on loyalty to Trump?
00:19:26.000 If so, you have only one candidate to vote for.
00:19:28.000 There's only one person who's loyal to Trump.
00:19:30.000 To the extent that Trump wants that loyalty, and that is Donald Trump.
00:19:33.000 Donald Trump is not loyal to anyone else around him.
00:19:34.000 All those people are losers and haters, but Donald Trump is very loyal to Donald Trump.
00:19:38.000 So if you want somebody who's super loyal to Trump, I recommend you vote for Trump.
00:19:41.000 If, however, you would like a candidate who is not going to be judged based on a loyalty test to Donald Trump, You might want to look elsewhere.
00:19:49.000 Trump also put out a statement running directly at DeSantis from the left.
00:19:53.000 So in two separate truths, he calls him Rob DeSanctimonious and Ron DeSanctus, which I don't even know what that means.
00:20:00.000 He said he can't win the general election or even get the nomination because he voted to obliterate Social Security, even wanting to raise the minimum age to 70 or more, voted to badly wound Medicare and fought hard and voted for a 23% tax on everything sales tax.
00:20:11.000 As opposed to, by the way, like that would be a one.
00:20:14.000 One tax, like no income tax.
00:20:18.000 By the way, you know who endorsed Paul Ryan for the speakership?
00:20:21.000 That would be your friend, Donald Trump.
00:20:24.000 Okay, so there was that as well.
00:20:30.000 So again, Trump just keeps going back to the disloyalty notion.
00:20:34.000 We'll get to more of the Trump team's response to DeSantis jumping into the race.
00:20:38.000 Notice, by the way, the contrast between Tim Scott.
00:20:40.000 Welcome to the race, Tim.
00:20:41.000 him we love you and run to sanctimonious rob to sanctimonious run to say or they call him
00:20:46.000 run to say which one do you think trump is more threatened by
00:20:50.000 Pretty obvious.
00:20:50.000 We'll get to more on this in a second.
00:20:51.000 First, men do not like going to the doctor.

00:21:54.000 Okay, so, again, Trump's response is basically that DeSantis is disloyal and too right-wing, which is not a great Republican primary campaign.
00:22:02.000 Listen, the reason that people love Trump is because they love Trump.
00:22:04.000 But is that a great campaign against DeSantis?
00:22:07.000 I think not.
00:22:08.000 They're also trying to claim, of course, that he's launching on Twitter because he has no personality.
00:22:12.000 Again, if this is about personality and what is toxic in a general election, it is hard to think of a candidate who has been more toxic in a general election than Donald Trump, who drove a dead man, Joe Biden, to 81 million votes.
00:22:24.000 Whenever people ask me, you know, you say that Trump lost the 2020 election.
00:22:28.000 How?
00:22:28.000 How did Joe Biden win 81 million votes?
00:22:30.000 He didn't.
00:22:31.000 Donald Trump lost 81 million votes.
00:22:33.000 That is the answer to that question.
00:22:34.000 The answer is that Donald Trump gets out to vote for his side, and he really, really, really gets out to vote for the other side.
00:22:40.000 The other side, again, they don't fear him as much in this election, because they think he'll lose, as they do DeSantis, but they certainly hate him the most of any human being on earth.
00:22:48.000 As I said before, like, many of them would be very happy for him to just keel over tomorrow.
00:22:53.000 But it is interesting to watch some of the responses from Team Trump.
00:22:57.000 So they trotted out Carrie Lake, who desperately, desperately wants to be Donald Trump's vice presidential candidate should he win the nomination.
00:23:03.000 So after losing a race to a wet dishrag in Katie Hobbs, I mean, honestly, Katie Hobbs is not, I would call her AI, but she's not even AI.
00:23:11.000 She's a cardboard cutout of an AI.
00:23:14.000 She's a piece of paper that is cut into a paper shape of a human.
00:23:17.000 That is Katie Hobbs.
00:23:18.000 And somehow Carrie Lake pulled out a loss to Katie Hobbs.
00:23:22.000 And yet, she still maintains that she is, in fact, the governor of Arizona, despite the fact she's lost every court challenge.
00:23:29.000 And again, she should have won that race walking away, presumably.
00:23:33.000 She was supposed to.
00:23:34.000 She lost to Katie Hobbs.
00:23:36.000 And here she is ripping on Ron DeSantis, saying Ron DeSantis can't win.
00:23:39.000 Maybe he can't.
00:23:40.000 But it's hard to make that case when you're the person who lost to Katie Hobbs.
00:23:45.000 When you pick a fight with Disney, you need to play to win.
00:23:49.000 And so far, Governor DeSantis has been outworked and outmaneuvered by Disney.
00:23:53.000 As far as I know, Reedy Creek still exists.
00:23:56.000 They're still hosting trans events at their park.
00:23:59.000 This indoctrination is continuing, and they're actually rubbing it in the faces of American families.
00:24:04.000 You know, if you can't beat Donald Duck, how are you going to beat Donald Trump?
00:24:10.000 I think that's the question we have to ask when it comes to Governor DeSantis.
00:24:15.000 I have to point out here that Carrie Lake has issued no plan for actually stopping Disney from doing these things, and Donald Trump has taken the side of Disney in the battle with Ron DeSantis.
00:24:23.000 So there is that as well.
00:24:25.000 Now again, none of this is to suggest that DeSantis is the frontrunner.
00:24:29.000 It is to suggest that when all the guns from all sides seem to be trained on one of the candidates, perhaps you should ask yourself why.
00:24:34.000 Why is it that all the Republican candidates in the race so far have attacked DeSantis and very few of them have attacked Trump in any serious way?
00:24:39.000 Why is it that Trump is not attacking any of the other Republican candidates, but he's training all of his fire on Ron DeSantis?
00:24:45.000 Why is it that the legacy media, who have expressed their hatred for Trump to the extent that they say that he is a fascist threat to the United States, that the only difference between Trump and Hitler is the mustache?
00:24:53.000 The little mustache.
00:24:55.000 Orange Hitler he is, they say.
00:24:56.000 These same exact people spend all day fulminating about Ron DeSantis online.
00:25:01.000 Why?
00:25:01.000 Could it be because they actually fear him getting the nomination?
00:25:04.000 Again, that's not a guarantee he'd win the general, but certainly the media think he has a better shot of winning the general.
00:25:08.000 Donald Trump thinks that DeSantis is his greatest threat.
00:25:10.000 Not Mike Pence, not Nikki Haley, not Vivek, not Tim Scott, none of them.
00:25:15.000 When everybody is lining up against one guy, and it's not Trump, and you have to start asking yourself why that could be.
00:25:21.000 By the way, the media have an ulterior motive here as well, which is Donald Trump means ratings.
00:25:25.000 In the same way that the NBA was really rooting hard for a Celtics-Lakers final, and they're going to be very disappointed that it's Miami Heat-Denver Nuggets, in the same way, the media are rooting super hard for Donald Trump to win the nomination because that dude means ratings.
00:25:37.000 Ron DeSantis, on the other hand, is a disciplined politician who won't give them the time of day.
00:25:42.000 Literally will not do interviews with them.
00:25:44.000 So of course they're rooting for Donald Trump in this particular race.
00:25:48.000 OK, meanwhile, Joe Biden continues to.
00:25:51.000 Just be clown himself on a regular basis.
00:25:54.000 So I noticed last night about two o'clock in the morning.
00:25:56.000 So for those of you who have very small babies, I have a very small baby.
00:25:59.000 He's three days old.
00:26:01.000 And when you change a male baby's diaper, very often they tend to pee on themselves.
00:26:05.000 And at that point, while this was happening, I have to admit, I thought of Joe Biden because that is an 80 year old man who pees himself on the regular.
00:26:14.000 And he has done so spectacularly in this debt ceiling fight.
00:26:17.000 He has been outworked.
00:26:18.000 He's been outplayed.
00:26:20.000 With regard to the debt ceiling fight, every which way.
00:26:24.000 As Andrew Dwerin writes over at the Wall Street Journal, Biden has no good options in debt ceiling fight.
00:26:29.000 The U.S.
00:26:29.000 could be unable to pay all of its bills as soon as June 1st if Biden and congressional Republicans can't reach a deal, and every path forward carries political risks for Biden.
00:26:36.000 A government default could tip the economy into recession and potentially unleash global financial chaos in the middle of a reelect.
00:26:41.000 Untried methods to pay the nation's bill without Congress could also carry economic costs and could require Biden to make painful political choices about who gets paid first.
00:26:49.000 Holding spending talks with Republicans over the issue is courting backlash from progressive lawmakers.
00:26:54.000 So you know whose fault this is.
00:26:55.000 This would be Joe Biden's fault, purely and simply.
00:26:59.000 Because Joe Biden is a fool.
00:27:00.000 And so he started off this entire process about negotiation over the debt ceiling by saying that he would not negotiate over the debt ceiling.
00:27:06.000 So here is Joe Biden.
00:27:08.000 This is April 19th, saying that he would not negotiate over the debt ceiling.
00:27:13.000 Happy to meet with McCarthy, but not on whether or not the debt limit gets extended.
00:27:19.000 That's not negotiable.
00:27:23.000 Not negotiable, right?
00:27:24.000 He started off with the position, I'm not even going to negotiate on the debt ceiling, which meant when McCarthy passed a bill, it said, sure, we just raised the debt ceiling.
00:27:30.000 All you have to do is go back to 2022 spending levels.
00:27:33.000 He looks like a moderate and Biden looks like a nutcase because guess what?
00:27:36.000 That's a nutty position for you to say you're not going to negotiate with a co-equal branch of government over budgetary issues is totally crazy.
00:27:43.000 And that is what Biden led off with because he got out over his skis.
00:27:46.000 This happens a lot with presidents.
00:27:47.000 They tend to feel the wind in their sails and then they get a little bit too confident about their agenda items.
00:27:53.000 And then reality slaps them in the face.
00:27:54.000 That's exactly what's happening with Biden here.
00:27:56.000 Remember, that was the exact same time that Karine Jean-Pierre, world's most untalented press secretary, was saying that the GOP had to raise the debt ceiling without preconditions.
00:28:04.000 There would be no negotiations, no preconditions.
00:28:07.000 We should not have House Republicans manufacturing a crisis on something that has been done 78 times since 1960.
00:28:14.000 This is their constitutional duty.
00:28:16.000 Congress must act.
00:28:17.000 That's what the president's going to make very clear with the leaders tomorrow.
00:28:22.000 Congress must avoid default without conditions, without conditions, as they did three times before in the last administration.
00:28:30.000 Democrats joined Republicans, put their politics aside, Democrats did, and made sure that that occurred, that happened.
00:28:38.000 Well, as it turns out, they were lying, because now they've been negotiating with McCarthy, because it turns out that McCarthy actually did pass a bill already to raise the debt ceiling, and they don't know how to deal with it.
00:28:47.000 So Corinne Jean-Pierre, again, world's most untalented press secretary, she says, oh yeah, actually, we were always clear that we were negotiating.
00:28:53.000 Well, that's weird, because I noticed that you weren't.
00:28:56.000 I noticed that it was one month ago when you were saying you would not negotiate over the debt ceiling, and now you are saying that you've been absolutely clear that you're negotiating.
00:29:02.000 Oh, is that?
00:29:03.000 The gas lighting is so strong.
00:29:05.000 I'm sorry, your old Jedi mind trick is of no effect here, Karine.
00:29:10.000 Can you say that one more time, what's changed?
00:29:12.000 You were saying, what's changed?
00:29:13.000 We're very strategic in saying they're not negotiations, they're conversations.
00:29:17.000 Well, I've always said, I've always said that budget, it is, we are negotiating on the budget.
00:29:22.000 I've always been very clear about that.
00:29:24.000 I said that default is not negotiable.
00:29:30.000 That's the stupidest thing I ever heard.
00:29:32.000 They're linked.
00:29:33.000 They're linked.
00:29:33.000 That's ridiculous.
00:29:34.000 The whole conversation is we will raise the debt ceiling if we lower the spending.
00:29:37.000 And she's like, well, we'll talk about the spending, but we will not negotiate over the debt ceiling.
00:29:41.000 But then you are negotiating over both.
00:29:44.000 That's that's that's silly.
00:29:45.000 That's like you saying to your wife.
00:29:47.000 That I'm going to negotiate.
00:29:49.000 We have two things that are linked right here.
00:29:51.000 One is I'll take out a second credit card for you if you promise to spend less.
00:29:55.000 And she says, well, you're taking out a second credit card for me and I'm not going to promise to spend less.
00:29:59.000 And then later she comes back to the table.
00:30:00.000 She's like, OK, we're going to take out a second credit card and we'll talk about me spending less, but I'm not negotiating.
00:30:04.000 You are.
00:30:05.000 I mean, that's literally the precondition that you said you would not fulfill.
00:30:09.000 And now you're doing it.
00:30:10.000 So they lied and now they're stuck.
00:30:12.000 Corinne Jean-Pierre also admitted that she did not know how often Biden was speaking to McCarthy.
00:30:15.000 So, again, this is just wild incompetence.
00:30:17.000 What they should be saying, if they were smart, is they're speaking every single day.
00:30:20.000 The negotiations aren't going.
00:30:21.000 We're not going to hit the debt ceiling because we know that we have to make sure that the economy is stable here in the United States.
00:30:26.000 We may not get a deal we like, may not get a deal the other side likes, but that's how negotiations go.
00:30:30.000 They're not doing that.
00:30:31.000 Instead, they're playing this game where they pretend like, oh, we don't even care if we hit the debt ceiling, man.
00:30:35.000 It's fine, you know?
00:30:36.000 Like, we don't even know how often... She is so bad at this.
00:30:40.000 Did the President and Speaker McCarthy have an agreement to talk on the phone or in person on a daily basis?
00:30:45.000 I think Speaker McCarthy implied that that would happen.
00:30:49.000 And so, do they have an agreement?
00:30:52.000 Is it going to happen?
00:30:53.000 I can say this.
00:30:54.000 I don't have any meetings or calls to announce, but obviously the staff is going to continue to have this conversation.
00:31:00.000 They just wrapped up a conversation moments ago, and the President will speak to the Speaker when it's necessary.
00:31:07.000 I just don't have anything to share at this time.
00:31:10.000 Okay, now, the reason that they've had to flip is because it turns out that the polling shows that people hate their position on this.
00:31:15.000 See, the art of politics is to make it very, very hard to vote for your opponent and very easy to vote for you, which means taking 80-20 positions.
00:31:21.000 Taking 80-20 positions is really, really helpful.
00:31:24.000 Taking 60-40 positions, really, really helpful.
00:31:27.000 Democrats have fringed themselves out on a wide variety of issues, which is why you see the media attempting to spin away from their own positions on the issues.
00:31:34.000 We'll get to the polling on the debt ceiling debate in just one second.

00:32:57.000 and digital products at scale.
00:32:59.000 You'll need great people skills as you will coordinate work across a lot of departments
00:33:02.000 and implement new processes and procedures.

00:33:12.000 That is dailywire.com slash careers today.
00:33:15.000 Okay, speaking of that polling.
00:33:16.000 So the CNN polling shows that 60% of Americans say Congress should only raise the debt ceiling
00:33:21.000 if it cuts spending at the same time.
00:33:22.000 60%.
00:33:24.000 So again, the vast majority of Americans want the debt ceiling increased.
00:33:27.000 But again, the vast majority of Americans believe that it's imperative that we start cutting our spending.
00:33:32.000 And so Democrats are stuck between a rock and a hard place because Joe Biden made it clear he was not going to negotiate over cutting and spending.
00:33:37.000 Now, he will.
00:33:38.000 He will.
00:33:39.000 So first, they're going to lie.
00:33:40.000 So Joe Biden continues to lie that he reduced the deficit by $1.7 trillion.
00:33:42.000 Again, he did not.
00:33:45.000 Everyone knows he did not.
00:33:46.000 He is spending record amounts of money.
00:33:48.000 If by reducing the deficit, he means that he spent less money than he did last year while still running up the deficit, that's true, but that's only because 2021 and 2022 and 2020 were the biggest spending years in American history.
00:34:00.000 So that means that in 2022, he spent slightly less than in 2021 and still made it one of the biggest spending years in American history.
00:34:06.000 That's not lowering the deficit.
00:34:07.000 Here is Joe Biden lying.
00:34:10.000 Well, I'm glad the speaker's here today.
00:34:13.000 We're optimistic we may be able to make some progress, because we've both agreed that default's not really on the table.
00:34:20.000 We've got to get something done here.
00:34:22.000 And the consequences for only a pair of bills would be the American people would have a real kick in their economic well-being.
00:34:30.000 As a matter of fact, the rest of the world would, too.
00:34:33.000 And so, we also agree we need to reduce the deficit.
00:34:36.000 And I might add, in my first two years as President, I reduced it by $1.7 trillion.
00:34:44.000 Okay, so again, he is fibbing and he is lying.
00:34:46.000 Meanwhile, Corine Jean-Pierre is pretending we don't have a spending problem.
00:34:48.000 Again, they've boxed themselves in here.
00:34:50.000 Here's Corine Jean-Pierre.
00:34:52.000 Do you agree with Speaker McCarthy that Democrats have a spending problem?
00:34:55.000 No.
00:34:56.000 No, they have no spending problem.
00:35:01.000 Too lit.
00:35:01.000 It's all good.
00:35:03.000 No, too lit.
00:35:05.000 Look, I'll say this.
00:35:07.000 The president's budget reduces the deficit, as you know, by nearly $3 trillion over 10 years.
00:35:15.000 Oh, okay, again, lying and lying some more.
00:35:22.000 He's been outplayed.
00:35:23.000 Joe Biden's been outplayed by McCarthy.
00:35:24.000 I know this is an unthinkable outcome for the media and for some people on the right who are suggesting that we should just let the ceiling be hit and let's let the whole thing melt down.
00:35:32.000 Good luck with that.
00:35:33.000 The reality is that Biden got outclassed here and he got played by himself.
00:35:37.000 He played himself in the words of DJ Khaled.
00:35:40.000 That's what he did.
00:35:40.000 He played himself.
00:35:41.000 Pramila Jayapal of the left, she's like, there's going to be backlash in the streets against Joe Biden if he actually cuts the spending.
00:35:48.000 I think there would be a huge backlash from our entire House Democratic, you know, caucus, certainly the progressives, but also in the streets.
00:35:56.000 You know, I mean, I think that this is it's important that we don't take steps back from the very strong agenda that the president himself shepherded and led over the last two years.
00:36:07.000 Hmm.
00:36:08.000 So, feeling blowback from the left.
00:36:10.000 Meanwhile, who's the moderate here?
00:36:11.000 Again, take 60-40 positions, folks.
00:36:12.000 This is how you win elections.
00:36:13.000 Kevin McCarthy says, hey, we can find common ground on the debt ceiling.
00:36:16.000 We passed a bill that's reasonable.
00:36:17.000 When Kevin McCarthy sounds like the rational and reasonable one that Democrats are losing.
00:36:22.000 Challenges on certain points that we have differences in.
00:36:26.000 But I believe we can find the common ground there.
00:36:28.000 Does the White House understand that you need 72 hours?
00:36:34.000 Yes, I've been very clear from day one.
00:36:38.000 Okay, so again, he sounds like the moderate.
00:36:40.000 Meanwhile, Democrats are going off their rockers by declaring that maybe Joe Biden will just invoke the 14th Amendment and unilaterally increase the debt ceiling.
00:36:46.000 James Clyburn, who was Biden's early backer in South Carolina, who boosted him to the nomination, he says that that's what they should do.
00:36:53.000 They should just use the 14th Amendment, which is clearly not meant to increase the debt ceiling to increase the debt ceiling.
00:36:58.000 Do you think that it took too long for the White House to reach out to the Speaker and start at least that negotiation sooner?
00:37:06.000 And I'm just thinking, what is it going to take for Democrats and Republicans in the House to try and get something?
00:37:13.000 Well, I don't know how long it's going to take, but I think that we all recognize that Janet Yellen made it very clear to us that something needs to be done by June 1st, and I think it will get done.
00:37:25.000 The President has made it very clear that he would like to have a bipartisan resolution of this.
00:37:32.000 He says that, knowing full well as I do, that the 14th Amendment is still there, and as President of the United States, he has some authority to use it, but he would rather not.
00:37:44.000 He would rather have a bipartisan resolution as it has always been.
00:37:51.000 Mm.
00:37:51.000 Okay, so the 14th Amendment is what's going to happen here.
00:37:53.000 Again, Biden's played himself, he's going to end up making a deal, and then the Democrats are going to rip him up for it, and he well deserves it.
00:37:58.000 Meanwhile, speaking of 60-40 issues, it is amazing to watch as the media and Democrats rush to defend woke corporations pushing some of the most egregious garbage on children I have ever seen.
00:38:08.000 So target is the corporation of the day.
00:38:12.000 Now, as we approach the holy month of pride, June, as this happens, we see more and more corporations coming out of the woodwork to demonstrate their fealty to the great religion of our republic.
00:38:21.000 Of course, that is not Christianity.
00:38:22.000 It's not the Judeo-Christian value system.
00:38:24.000 It's not anything traditional.
00:38:25.000 The great religion of our nation is the pride progress flag.
00:38:28.000 That is the thing that we must all pay obeisance to.
00:38:31.000 In fact, we have an entire holy month complete with martyrology, complete with religious ceremony, complete with the children's crusade.
00:38:38.000 And every corporation must bow before it.
00:38:40.000 The latest corporation to bow before it is over at Target.
00:38:44.000 So Target, you know, it's actually fairly easy to boycott Bud Light, right?
00:38:47.000 Bud Light, it's pretty easy to boycott because, again, when you target one beer, you can just go buy another beer.
00:38:52.000 And yeah, that beer may be just as woke, but you're making the point that when you go hire
00:38:56.000 a man dressed as a woman to sell your beer to lower income men, it's not going to work very well.
00:39:02.000 Target, because it is a store that has everything in it, and many people use it as like the place
00:39:06.000 where they go for grocery shopping, plus where they go for clothes,
00:39:08.000 plus where they go for games and toys, because it's sort of everything to everybody,
00:39:11.000 it's harder to boycott.
00:39:12.000 But that doesn't mean it is not worth the boycott, because now they've been pushing,
00:39:16.000 as we mentioned on the show, trans propaganda to children.
00:39:19.000 They actually pushed a swimming suit that has tuck abilities, you know, for boys who want to pretend they're girls.
00:39:25.000 They can shove their penis and balls back underneath them so they appear more like girls.
00:39:30.000 And these are available for people of all ages and all sizes.
00:39:33.000 Not specifically children, say the fact-checkers, but available for all genders and for people of various sizes and ages.
00:39:39.000 And of course, Target had plastered their stores with a bunch of LGBTQ propaganda all the way down to, like, LGBTQ onesies for small babies because there's nothing that says tolerance and diversity quite like shoving an LGBTQ agenda down on a small baby.
00:39:53.000 So now the backlash has begun.
00:39:55.000 According to Fox News, some Southern Target stores were forced by the corporation to move LGBTQ Pride merchandise away from the front of their locations after customer outrage to avoid a Bud Light situation.
00:40:04.000 Many Target locations across the country feature massive June Pride Month displays on an annual basis, with items this year ranging from tuck-friendly bathing suits for transgender people to mugs that say gender fluid.
00:40:14.000 But the retail juggernaut has been criticized by some conservatives for the displays with children's items particularly irking many customers.
00:40:19.000 Well, it shouldn't just be children's items.
00:40:21.000 I'm not aware of any other ideological campaign that takes place on a yearly basis at these major corporations other than Black History Month that gets this kind of attention.
00:40:29.000 Literally, it doesn't happen.
00:40:31.000 It's like all the left-wing agenda items.
00:40:33.000 You have Women's History Month, Black History Month, and Pride Month.
00:40:35.000 Those are the holy trinity of actual holiday seasons.
00:40:39.000 In Judaism?
00:40:41.000 The big three are Shavuos, Sukkos, Pesach, right?
00:40:44.000 Those are the three big holidays.
00:40:46.000 Those are the... Shalosh Regalim.
00:40:47.000 Those are the ones where you make the... In the ancient times, you'd go on foot to the temple to offer your sacrifices on those holidays.
00:40:55.000 Okay?
00:40:55.000 In the pagan mythology of the United States, the three big months are Black History Month, Women's History Month, Pride Month.
00:41:00.000 Those are the three big ones.
00:41:02.000 And so all the corporations have started mirroring this sort of garbage.
00:41:06.000 And now finally, consumers are like, you know what?
00:41:07.000 No, we're not interested in helping you, with our money, propagandize these particular efforts.
00:41:13.000 A Target insider said there were emergency calls on Friday.
00:41:15.000 Some managers and district senior directors were told to tamp down the pride sections immediately.
00:41:19.000 We were given 36 hours, told to take down all the pride stuff, the entire section, and move it into a section that's a third the size.
00:41:24.000 From the front of the store to the back of the store, you can't have anything on mannequins and no large signage.
00:41:28.000 We call our customers guests.
00:41:28.000 There's outrage on their part.
00:41:29.000 This year, it's just exponentially more than any other year.
00:41:32.000 I think with the current situation with Bud Light, the company is terrified of a Bud Light situation.
00:41:35.000 Good.
00:41:36.000 They should be terrified of a Bud Light situation because they have made their bed and now they ought to lie in it.
00:41:41.000 And again, this is not just Target that is promoting this garbage to kids.
00:41:46.000 The Dodgers, as we pointed out, the Los Angeles Dodgers have now re-invited quote-unquote queer nuns.
00:41:51.000 The ridiculous idiocies of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
00:41:55.000 They call them life-saving, life-saving groups.
00:41:58.000 Like the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, who every year hold events in which they have queer people dress up as Jesus and Mary and mock the Christian story and mock Catholicism.
00:42:07.000 Genius move by the L.A.
00:42:08.000 Dodgers.
00:42:09.000 By the way, if you're a Catholic, don't go to a Dodgers game.
00:42:11.000 It is that simple.
00:42:12.000 If you're a Christian, if you're a person who believes in Judeo-Christian values, you should not go to a Dodgers game based on their decisions to do this sort of stuff.
00:42:19.000 We went very quickly from live and let live to you will celebrate this flag or you will be deemed a traitor to the state religion.
00:42:27.000 It's pretty amazing.
00:42:28.000 And again, it's not just the Dodgers.
00:42:29.000 It's also North Face, right?
00:42:31.000 Every corporation is going to do it.
00:42:32.000 Every corporation.
00:42:33.000 You will be forced to participate.
00:42:35.000 By corporate America combined with the government, you will be forced to participate in the celebration of alternative sexual lifestyles that completely undermine the fundamental bases of Judeo-Christian morality and traditional society.
00:42:49.000 Here is North Face promoting this kind of nonsense.
00:42:52.000 Hi, it's me Patagonia, a real-life homosexual, and today I'm here with the North Face.
00:42:58.000 We are here to invite you to come out in nature with us!
00:43:03.000 Wow, this is nice!
00:43:05.000 We like to call this little tour the Summer of Pride.
00:43:09.000 This seems supernatural.
00:43:11.000 It's like, look at the nature.
00:43:12.000 So much nature happening.
00:43:13.000 A dude with a mustache and long hair in ladies' clothing with a TV in the middle of the field.
00:43:19.000 So much pride, guys.
00:43:20.000 Across the nation with hundreds of you.
00:43:23.000 So much pride, guys.
00:43:24.000 Across the nation.
00:43:25.000 This year we're back, back, back again with two new stops.
00:43:27.000 Atlanta G.A.
00:43:28.000 One.
00:43:29.000 Okay, so this will be every corporation for a month.
00:43:30.000 Prepare yourselves.
00:43:31.000 This is the way it's going to go.
00:43:32.000 OK, fine.
00:43:33.000 So if this is the fight the left wants, this is the fight the left is going to have.
00:43:35.000 And they know it's unpopular.
00:43:37.000 They know that most Americans are not in favor of this stuff being shoved in the faces of children, that most Americans, you know, who still do go to church on a fairly regular basis, a huge number of Americans still go to church.
00:43:47.000 They're not real fond of like these sisters of perpetual indulgence, but they're going to push this crap anyway.
00:43:51.000 OK, well, you know, play it.
00:43:54.000 Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
00:43:55.000 If you're a corporation, F around and find out.
00:43:59.000 See how it goes for you.
00:44:00.000 Alright, so it turns out that most Americans are not in favor of transing the kids or pushing pride progress flags in kindergarten classrooms or any of the rest of this sort of nonsense.
00:44:07.000 And despite the best efforts of the media to pretend otherwise, that is just the simple fact.
00:44:11.000 Every time they tried to claim that the quote-unquote don't say gay law in Florida, which by the way, people say gay all the time here in Florida.
00:44:17.000 I live here.
00:44:17.000 There are a lot of gay people who live in Florida as it turns out.
00:44:20.000 This notion that you can't say gay or you're gonna be arrested.
00:44:23.000 Uh, that's a lie.
00:44:24.000 It's not true.
00:44:25.000 But you know what's really popular law?
00:44:27.000 Saying they're not allowed to teach sexual orientation and gender identity to school kids.
00:44:31.000 That that is not the job of teachers.
00:44:32.000 That actually is a really popular proposition across the country.
00:44:35.000 Parents don't want that garbage being taught to their kids.
00:44:38.000 If they want to teach their kids that stuff themselves, that is their problem.
00:44:40.000 But this notion that you are obligated to turn your kid over to a state employee to be taught the state religion of LGBTQ plus minus divided by sign is absurd.
00:44:50.000 Most Americans are not into that.
00:44:51.000 So the left has to come up with what they think are 60-40 propositions the other way in order to run against the conservatives, right?
00:44:58.000 If conservatives are now winning when it comes to the economy, which they are, if they're winning on social issues, Which they largely are.
00:45:03.000 Well then, Democrats have to come up with some response.
00:45:06.000 So, they have some 60-40 issues they think they're gonna win.
00:45:08.000 They think abortion is a 60-40 issue.
00:45:10.000 It's why they've been featuring, for example, so much talk about these abortion bans in states like Florida that start at six weeks.
00:45:16.000 They think that that's a 60-40 issue.
00:45:17.000 Most Americans are not into those sorts of abortion bans.
00:45:20.000 And nationally speaking, that may well be correct.
00:45:22.000 Nationally speaking, most Americans are somewhere between 10 and 12 weeks.
00:45:25.000 And where do they think abortion should be banned?
00:45:26.000 But that's very... That may be true nationally, it's not state-specific.
00:45:30.000 So they can exploit the gap between how people feel in Florida and how people feel nationally in order to go after people like Ron DeSantis or Brian Kemp in Georgia, for example, or Mike DeWine in Ohio.
00:45:40.000 However, when it comes to the LGBTQ plus minus divided by sign agenda, they run into some real issues.
00:45:47.000 Because as it turns out, people are not real fond of an agenda that suggests that all sexual behavior is morally equivalent, or that we have built ourselves a freer and better society when 21% of all young people are now identifying as members of the LGBTQ plus minus divided by sign pride progress flag minority.
00:46:04.000 The victim group.
00:46:06.000 The sexual victim group.
00:46:07.000 People are not super hot on this.
00:46:09.000 So, they have to come up with some lies.
00:46:10.000 And so they've come up with some lies.
00:46:12.000 Their big lie is, they're coming to ban the books.
00:46:14.000 This is just the latest version of Don't Say Gay.
00:46:17.000 They're coming to ban the books.
00:46:18.000 And the latest lie that's being promoted by the mainstream media, the legacy media, is this lie that in Florida, Amanda Gorman's The Hill We Climb is now restricted to, is now being banned in schools.
00:46:29.000 It is not being banned in schools.
00:46:30.000 First of all, Amanda Gorman is literally the most overrated poet I think ever.
00:46:36.000 Ever.
00:46:37.000 By any metric, she's not a very good poet.
00:46:39.000 Her words do not sing.
00:46:41.000 She generally does not use meter in any sort of methodical way.
00:46:45.000 But she's been treated as though she is some sort of Magical William Butler Yates type.
00:46:53.000 She read a poem at the Joe Biden inauguration in which she essentially suggested that Joe Biden's victory was vindication of democracy.
00:47:00.000 All of his opponents were not in favor of democracy and all the rest of it.
00:47:03.000 Okay, well.
00:47:04.000 Her poetry, it may be bad, but at the very least, it's not for kids in 3rd grade.
00:47:09.000 The notions that she pushes in her poetry about systemic racism and white privilege and all this kind of stuff, not appropriate for 3rd graders.
00:47:17.000 Maybe appropriate for middle schoolers, right?
00:47:19.000 If you read her poetry, it's not even reading level for 3rd graders.
00:47:21.000 I know, I have a 3rd grader.
00:47:25.000 If you say that, if you say, we're not banning the book, we're just saying it's only appropriate for kids who are in like 5th, 6th, 7th grade.
00:47:30.000 Apparently that is now book banning.
00:47:32.000 That is how the media are treating this Amanda Gorman story.
00:47:34.000 And it's not true.
00:47:35.000 It is a lie.
00:47:37.000 They're treating it as though Amanda Gorman has now been banned across the state of Florida.
00:47:42.000 So Rolling Stone has a piece titled, Florida School Bans Amanda Gorman's Inaugural The Hill We Climb Poem.
00:47:47.000 No it didn't.
00:47:48.000 They just said that it's not to be taught in classes for elementary school students.
00:47:53.000 Like fourth graders and third graders.
00:47:55.000 L.A.
00:47:55.000 Times says Amanda Gorman's inaugural poem is the latest in book bans.
00:47:59.000 The Guardian says Amanda Gorman gutted after Florida school bans Biden inauguration month.
00:48:03.000 So one school, someplace in Florida, moved the hill we climb, not even out of classes, out of an elementary library at a Miami-Dade school.
00:48:13.000 And this is an international news story.
00:48:14.000 It's covered by the BBC, USA Today, NBC News, Axios.
00:48:19.000 She's gutted.
00:48:20.000 She's gutted.
00:48:20.000 Because third graders can't check out her garbage book over at the school library in elementary school.
00:48:27.000 That is not a book banning.
00:48:30.000 According to one of the parents, she claimed that the Hill We Climb and a few other books contained references to critical race theory, gender ideology, indirect hate messages, and indoctrination, especially of socialism.
00:48:43.000 And the school agreed to restrict the title to middle school students.
00:48:47.000 Which again, that is not a book ban.
00:48:49.000 A book ban is where you say the book cannot be available anywhere in the state of Florida.
00:48:53.000 Not about school libraries.
00:48:54.000 School libraries routinely restrict what kids can and cannot see based on age.
00:48:58.000 But they're pushing that lie anyway.
00:49:01.000 Or maybe they're going to focus in on the notion that Texas is going to reinstate its evil practice of displaying the Ten Commandments publicly.
00:49:10.000 We can't do that.
00:49:11.000 We can't do that.
00:49:12.000 It is one thing to put the fundamental, civilizational code of conduct on classroom walls in the Ten Commandments.
00:49:18.000 Can't do that.
00:49:20.000 What we must have, however, is Black Lives Matter flags and Pride Progress flags.
00:49:24.000 Because again, the state religion of the United States is America systemically racist and screwing whoever you please is a fundamental human value that is of equal moral Equal moral merit.
00:49:37.000 That's what America stands for, after all.
00:49:38.000 The Ten Commandments?
00:49:39.000 No.
00:49:39.000 That stuff cannot be in classrooms.
00:49:41.000 That's establishment of religion.
00:49:42.000 But it's not establishment of religion to put forward this pagan religion and force it down the throats of every school kid in America.
00:49:48.000 So according to the Washington Post, quote, Texas lawmakers had been scheduled to vote Tuesday on
00:49:51.000 whether to require that the Ten Commandments be posted in every classroom in the state,
00:49:54.000 part of a newly energized national effort to insert religion into public life.
00:49:57.000 Again, this is one of the great lies that the left purveys.
00:50:01.000 The lie is, number one, that you are forcing religion when you display any text that has the word God in it in a classroom, but you are not promoting any religious or civilizational point of view when you promote wild left secularism that argues that boys can be girls and girls can be boys in those pagan fashions.
00:50:19.000 One value system is going to have to triumph, and one value system is going to have to lose.
00:50:21.000 There is no neutrality in this particular battle.
00:50:24.000 As we have seen, we've tried to do neutral.
00:50:27.000 And you know what happened?
00:50:27.000 The left just took neutral and hijacked it, and now neutral is, your kid will be taught that a boy can be a girl and a girl can be a boy.
00:50:33.000 That's the new neutral.
00:50:34.000 And by claiming that neutrality, the left has basically suggested that you're a religious bigot if you object.
00:50:38.000 Well, again, they're trying to play this as a 60-40 game, that if you want to put 10 commandments in the classroom, 60% of Americans don't support it.
00:50:43.000 But here is the... That may well be true.
00:50:45.000 But you know what is also true?
00:50:47.000 80% of Americans are not going to support Pride progress flags in the classroom for 3rd graders.
00:50:51.000 They're not interested.
00:50:52.000 Or any school kids, by the way.
00:50:54.000 So what you have here is a pair of completely battling premises.
00:50:57.000 And maybe only one can win.
00:50:59.000 And if only one can win, I certainly know which one I think should win.
00:51:03.000 And which one stands for some level of morality, decency, and civilizational durability.
00:51:08.000 Okay, time for some things I like and then some things that I hate.
00:51:12.000 So, things that I like.
00:51:13.000 There's a series that is available on HBO Max.
00:51:15.000 It's called The Murders at White House Farm.
00:51:17.000 It is quite good.
00:51:18.000 Again, another sort of British crime series.
00:51:20.000 This is about a horrific murder of five people at a farm in Britain.
00:51:26.000 Really well acted, really well written.
00:51:28.000 Here's a little bit of the preview.
00:51:30.000 I love you, daddy.
00:51:31.000 I love you too, sweetheart.
00:51:33.000 Be good, okay?
00:51:34.000 I'll be back in a few days.
00:51:40.000 It's based on a real-life case.
00:51:42.000 It was suspected that a mother had shot her kids, and then her parents, and then herself, and then it turns out that the person convicted for it was actually not the mom.
00:51:53.000 So, it's a very good series.
00:51:55.000 It is definitely worth the watch.
00:51:56.000 You can go check it out.
00:51:57.000 Okay, time for a very extensive thing that I hate today.
00:52:04.000 So let us talk about the evils of social media.
00:52:06.000 Even the Surgeon General of the United States is now warning that social media can harm children and adolescents.
00:52:11.000 That, of course, is exactly true.
00:52:12.000 Now, I'm not sure exactly why they think that it's harming children and adolescents, considering that the chief messages being purveyed on social media are left-wing messages about sexual fluidity, about promiscuity, about doing that which is taboo, about the centrality of progressive identity.
00:52:28.000 That's kind of the stuff that gets pushed on social media that's really damaging to kids.
00:52:31.000 And ain't kids studying the Bible on social media that's damaging to kids?
00:52:34.000 In other words, what social media really does is it weaponizes the worst in human beings and then makes it go viral.
00:52:39.000 And the worst in human beings tends to have very, very heavy overlap with social progressivism, with the transgressive nature of the social morality that the left likes to push.
00:52:47.000 So it's interesting to watch the left come around to the message that social media is bad for kids.
00:52:50.000 It is, but not because of the social media.
00:52:52.000 It's because of the actual material contained in the social media.
00:52:55.000 There's no question that social media has now incentivized some of the worst behavior in America.
00:53:00.000 So, for example, Kellyanne Conway's teenage daughter, Claudia, has now launched a new career as a Playboy Bunny, creating racy content for the defunct magazine's website, according to the Daily Mail.
00:53:10.000 The pretty blonde has been operating a subscription page on Playboy.com since the end of April, six months after she turned 18, and has so far uploaded 11 posts, most of which show her in a revealing selection of bikinis.
00:53:20.000 For those who want to splash out, raunchier pictures like cleavage close-ups are available from as little as $5.
00:53:24.000 The most expensive photo on offer costs $99.
00:53:26.000 Now, Claudia, obviously, her home life has been kind of a mess, considering the fairly open battle between her parents, who are now getting divorced.
00:53:34.000 But the fact is that this particular young woman has been in the social media limelight since she was like 16 years old, featured by the media as somebody who is siding with dad against mom, who thinks that Donald Trump is really, really bad.
00:53:45.000 And that leads you down some pretty perverse pathways.
00:53:48.000 This does not seem like the Pathway toward fulfilling life is probably not posing provocatively for playboy.com.
00:53:54.000 This is not actually an aspect of women's empowerment.
00:53:56.000 I always find it highly amusing and ironic when women who claim that they should be valued for more than their body believe that it is also feminism to show as much of their body as humanly possible in order so that men will pay them for it.
00:54:08.000 Prostitution is the highest form of feminism, is a very weird thing, which is why feminists tend to cross, like real feminists, tend to cross streams with evangelical Christians and religious Jews on the idea that women are more than their body parts.
00:54:20.000 But this is what social media tends to do.
00:54:23.000 Social media also tends to incentivize some of the worst behavior imaginable.
00:54:27.000 So there is a live streamer who has gone viral in Great Britain.
00:54:32.000 For doing some of the worst things humanly possible.
00:54:34.000 And this person was basically just sort of walking around and performing crimes until people noticed.
00:54:43.000 And then claimed that he was being targeted because everybody was racist to him.
00:54:48.000 This person's name is apparently Mizzy, is what he called himself.
00:54:52.000 He is a teenager named Bakari Bronze Ogaro 18, known on TikTok as Mizzy.
00:54:57.000 And he has now been charged with failing to comply with the community protection notice.
00:55:00.000 But that's after months of performing criminal activity randomly on the internet.
00:55:05.000 So, for example, here he was walking into a library and just ripping up books.
00:55:11.000 Excuse me, what can I, um, get a book here?
00:55:19.000 Walking into the library and just ripping the pages out of books.
00:55:24.000 Like a complete piece of trash.
00:55:29.000 And the library employees don't know what to do.
00:55:32.000 They call security, but apparently security did nothing because five minutes later, this dude is back on the street.
00:55:38.000 There he is walking into the back of the library.
00:55:44.000 He calls himself a prankster, of course.
00:55:50.000 Now, uh, what does security do?
00:55:51.000 Apparently nothing because he's back on the street about five seconds later and he's walking into random people's houses.
00:55:56.000 So here's a video of him walking, literally just walking into a random person's house for the social media clicks and giggles of it.
00:56:02.000 He is, um, a black person along with a couple of his colleagues and they walk in.
00:56:07.000 I only point that out because I do believe that there is a relevance to the fact that this person continues to be on the street.
00:56:12.000 This is a white teenager filming himself walking into random people's houses.
00:56:15.000 I highly doubt the police would have let him get away with posting this on social media for months at a time.
00:56:21.000 A father then walks up the stairs, if you can't see it.
00:56:24.000 He has children in the house and he's telling them to leave.
00:56:26.000 They don't.
00:56:26.000 They just walk and they sit right down on somebody else's couch and start taking over.
00:56:32.000 Oh, the systemic racism.
00:56:33.000 Ah, look at the systemic racism that's happening right here.
00:56:36.000 The father's saying, by the way, just a note.
00:56:40.000 This is one of the reasons I like living in Florida.
00:56:42.000 You know what happens if you walk into somebody's house randomly and sit on their couch in Florida?
00:56:45.000 You get shot.
00:56:47.000 I don't care what race you are, you get shot.
00:56:48.000 You bust into somebody's house while somebody's kids are at home, you're getting shot.
00:56:52.000 That is the way that is going.
00:56:53.000 By the way, it's not just kind of soft criminal activity like trespass or ripping up books at the library.
00:57:01.000 It is also actively assaulting people.
00:57:03.000 So here he was filming himself assaulting a random Jewish guy.
00:57:05.000 He's walking up behind a Hasidic Jewish kid.
00:57:15.000 And jumping on him.
00:57:17.000 and the kid runs away.
00:57:19.000 He know you always out driving the tits every time.
00:57:23.000 That s*** was everywhere, you couldn't escape.
00:57:25.000 My man was just looking at me bro.
00:57:27.000 He was just looking, I didn't even do nothing.
00:57:29.000 He was just looking at you wrong?
00:57:31.000 I don't know, were they assaulting you, those orthodox Hasidic Jews?
00:57:35.000 Were they?
00:57:36.000 Now again, the reason I point this out is because this sort of stuff is replete on social media.
00:57:39.000 Social media is just a viral system for making the sins of mankind more and more popular.
00:57:44.000 And the sins of mankind all tend to fit a particular pattern.
00:57:47.000 That is the part that I find rather puzzling about Vivek Murthy's I totally agree with him, but that's because I think that the value system being promoted by social media is garbage.
00:57:57.000 I want an explanation for why the progressive left thinks the value system being promoted by social media is garbage.
00:58:01.000 I need that explanation because again, it ain't TikTok teaching math in China that is a problem for kids.
00:58:05.000 It ain't TikTok teaching kids Bible that is a problem for kids.
00:58:08.000 It is a particular type of activity that is a problem for kids.
00:58:11.000 Blaming social media for the underlying activity.
00:58:14.000 Hmm.
00:58:14.000 A fascinating way of misdirecting from the fact that perhaps your own moral system is wildly skewed.
00:58:19.000 Alrighty guys, the rest of the show continues right now.
00:58:20.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
00:58:21.000 We'll be getting into the mailbag.
