Summary

A 14-year-old boy who thinks he's a girl was given estrogen and testosterone when he was 11 years old to make him a girl. His mom and the media are celebrating. Politically correct parents are now celebrating brutal and life-destroying child abuse, and our society and the despicable media are applauding with them. Ben Shapiro says it's time to open our hearts and accept our children for who they are, not for what gender they do or do not identify with. He also says that transgender kids need proper therapy and treatment, not mass delusion and pseudoscientific pseudoscience. And he points out that the only real societal construct is the stupid, idiotic, ascientific, anti-evidentiary notion that biological sex and gender are totally separate and aren't. And it's cruel for the media to promulgate this nonsense, especially when it does not have any impact on their kid. There are a lot of transgender kids who are independent, especially after watching YouTube videos about Jazz Jennings, a YouTube star who was a victim of mass delusion, and are actually attacking ISIS at this point in time, and his mother is the perpetrator. The Obama administration is befuddled, and doesn't know what to do about it, which is why they should be doing something about it. 00:00:00.000 Politically correct parents are now celebrating brutal and life-destroying child abuse.
00:00:04.000 Our society and our despicable media are celebrating with them.
00:00:08.000 So I don't know if you've seen this video.
00:00:09.000 It's going around of this woman named Erica Mason of Detroit and she's giving her 14 year old biological son Corey Mason a dose of estrogen because this 14 year old son thinks he is a girl on steroids.
00:00:21.000 So, he's a transgender boy, right, and he thinks that he's a girl.
00:00:25.000 Here's how ABC News headlined this dramatic act of brutality, this mother giving estrogen treatment to a biological boy, quote,
00:00:37.000 Here's what ABC News actually wrote.
00:00:58.000 Erica talked to ABC News about the hurdles faced by Corey including exclusion and bullying at school.
00:01:04.000 That forced Corey to be homeschooled and then Corey's mother gave him hormone therapy to stop puberty.
00:01:09.000 This is when he was like 11 years old.
00:01:10.000 So an 11 year old boy was given hormone therapy to stop puberty.
00:01:13.000 We can't wait until he's 18 because you see then puberty would have kicked in.
00:01:16.000 He'll look like a man.
00:01:17.000 So we have to actually stop a boy from developing into a man in order so that we can make sure that the boy develops into a woman.
00:01:25.000 This is all biological nonsense, but this is how society now views this crap.
00:01:29.000 Corey went back to public school looking more like a girl, and then Erika lectures all of us on proper parenting technique.
00:01:34.000 Quote, I want them to open their hearts and accept their children for who they are, not for what gender they do or do not identify with.
00:01:41.000 Their hearts do not change because their outer appearance does.
00:01:44.000 We all just want to be loved and accepted by others.
00:01:46.000 That's all any transgender child wants, to be loved and accepted fully by their parents.
00:01:51.000 The idea behind this kind of garbage is that gender is completely a societal construct and if you want to save your transgender child, all you have to do is tolerate and of course make sure that your kid has hormone therapy at 11 and transgender surgery at 15 or 16 years old.
00:02:05.000 Here's what transgender kids actually need.
00:02:07.000 Proper therapy and treatment.
00:02:09.000 But this is what happens when a society begins to accept the crap pseudoscience of transgenderism.
00:02:15.000 Kids suffer, and they suffer at the hands of their parents.
00:02:17.000 Cory is not going to be cured of maleness through prepubescent hormone treatments and therapy.
00:02:23.000 Here's the stats, okay?
00:02:24.000 Just 4.6% of Americans altogether attempt suicide.
00:02:27.000 41% of transgender people do.
00:02:31.000 According to the Williams Institute at UCLA and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, quote, prevalence of suicide attempts is elevated among those who disclose to everyone that they are transgender or gender non-conforming.
00:02:43.000 50% of people who tell all their friends that they're transgender try to commit suicide at some point.
00:02:47.000 45% of transgender people who have undergone hormone therapy try suicide.
00:02:53.000 So it turns out that only 41% of transgenders try suicide.
00:02:56.000 That number goes up if you have hormone therapy.
00:02:59.000 The same is true for people who undergo any form of surgery.
00:03:01.000 Actually, suicide rates are the lowest among transgender people who don't want any form of treatment.
00:03:07.000 And as for this ridiculous notion that it's because society is mean that transgender people commit suicide, this, too, is garbage.
00:03:13.000 It's nonsense.
00:03:14.000 The reason that transgender people try to commit suicide is because they suffer from a horrible mental illness, and you have to feel horrible for them.
00:03:21.000 Here's what the stats show.
00:03:22.000 For transgender people who say they occasionally are identified as transgender by others, in other words, they're walking around and somebody says, you're not really a woman, you're a dude, 41% have attempted suicide.
00:03:33.000 And that's only for those who are operating occasionally.
00:03:36.000 Among those who say that they are never identified as transgender.
00:03:40.000 Never.
00:03:40.000 Ever.
00:03:41.000 Meaning that they live their entire life and nobody really cares whether they're transgender or not.
00:03:46.000 36% of them try to commit suicide.
00:03:47.000 In other words, transgenderism?
00:03:49.000 It's a mental disorder.
00:03:50.000 It's not the fault of a societal construct.
00:03:51.000 The only real societal construct is the stupid, idiotic, ascientific, anti-evidentiary notion that biological sex and gender are totally separate and independent.
00:04:02.000 They aren't.
00:04:03.000 And it's cruel for the media to promulgate this garbage, especially when it does have impact on kids.
00:04:07.000 The fact is that this particular kid decided that he, was a she, after watching YouTube videos about Jazz Jennings, the YouTube star, transgender child.
00:04:16.000 There are effects to a society that wishes to participate in mass delusion.
00:04:21.000 Corey is a casualty, and his mother is the perpetrator.
00:04:25.000 I'm Ben Shapiro, and this is The Ben Shapiro Show.
00:04:36.000 Today, at this hour, the Obama administration is befuddled.
00:04:39.000 They just don't know what to do about the current situation in Syria.
00:04:43.000 The Russians are currently not just attacking ISIL groups.
00:04:47.000 They're actually mostly attacking non-ISIL groups at this point.
00:04:49.000 They're not attacking ISIS.
00:04:51.000 They're attacking all the Free Syrian Army.
00:04:52.000 And they're doing so, actually, with the help of the Iranians as well as Hezbollah.
00:04:57.000 So basically, Vladimir Putin in Russia is doing what Stalin has sought to do for most of his career, which was take over the Middle East.
00:05:03.000 Stalin in 1945, 1946, he actually tried to take over Turkey and Iran.
00:05:07.000 That ended up actually resulting in the Truman Doctrine.
00:05:10.000 The idea that Truman put forth that the United States would defend democracy wherever it sprung up and fight against communism, and obviously that had effects in Korea as well as Vietnam.
00:05:19.000 That was a direct effect
00:05:21.000 of an attempt by the Russians in 1945-46 to take over Iran and Turkey.
00:05:25.000 Now, Putin is doing the same thing because of the weakness of President Obama.
00:05:28.000 According to the Daily Mail, just now, right now, it is clear that the Russian forces are striking out against CIA-backed rebels.
00:05:36.000 So, Russia's basically in a proxy war with the people that we trained.
00:05:40.000 And meanwhile, they're calling in Iran and Hezbollah.
00:05:43.000 Hezbollah is, of course, the Iranian-backed Lebanese terrorist group.
00:05:46.000 They're calling those folks in
00:05:48.000 for support against the anti-Assad forces.
00:05:49.000 So they're using ISIS as cover to go up against all of the forces that the United States supports.
00:05:55.000 Putin is making some very strong moves in Syria.
00:05:58.000 He's taking over Syria for himself, and he's allying himself with the Iranian forces.
00:06:02.000 He's also allying himself with Hezbollah.
00:06:04.000 So basically what Putin is doing is he's eliminating the U.S.-backed options.
00:06:08.000 The only two options in the region are going to be ISIS and the Russian alliance in Syria, which is Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia.
00:06:14.000 All of that, of course, also threatens Israel because those groups
00:06:17.000 Meanwhile, the United States continues to dither in Syria.
00:06:18.000 All of this is happening because Russia is filling a gap that was left.
00:06:38.000 By the United States.
00:06:39.000 The United States caused all of this.
00:06:41.000 The United States created this gap.
00:06:43.000 And you can hear the Obama administration struggling for a response.
00:06:46.000 They really don't know what to do here, because when you're this weak, and when you think that the world is just gonna run itself, this is what happens.
00:06:53.000 Secretary of State John Kerry, who, unfortunately, when he fell off that bicycle back in Geneva several months ago, his head-smacking incident didn't knock some sense into him.
00:07:03.000 Instead, he actually said that he welcomes Russia's help in Syria.
00:07:07.000 Again, again, important to understand, important to understand, that Russia is currently bombing the people that we sent money to.
00:07:14.000 He's bombing the Free Syrian Army.
00:07:16.000 And here's John Kerry, the Secretary of State, praising Vladimir Putin for bombing the people that we have sent money to.
00:07:21.000 Welcome to the brilliant, you know, the don't-do-stupid-stuff side of the Obama administration.
00:07:26.000 It's incredible.
00:07:26.000 Here's John Kerry talking about Vladimir Putin.
00:07:29.000 The United States is prepared to work with any nation, including Russia and Iran, to resolve the conflict.
00:07:37.000 But we must recognize that there cannot be, after so much bloodshed, so much carnage, a simple return to the pre-war status quo.
00:07:48.000 My colleagues, the Government of Russia has argued that we must support Assad in order to defeat ISIL.
00:07:54.000 But the reality is that Assad has rarely chosen himself to fight ISIL.
00:08:00.000 As the terrorists made inroads throughout large swaths of Syria and Iraq, raping,
00:08:06.000 Enslaving and murdering civilians along the way.
00:08:10.000 The Syrian regime didn't try to stop them.
00:08:13.000 Instead, it focused all of its military power on moderate opposition groups who are fighting for a voice in Syria.
00:08:22.000 Make no mistake, the answer to the Syrian civil war cannot be found in a military alliance with Assad.
00:08:29.000 But I am convinced that it can be found
00:08:34.000 We're good to go.
00:08:41.000 Okay, let's pause it right there.
00:08:46.000 So Kerry's actually changing his position right now.
00:08:48.000 You have to understand, folks, Kerry is actually changing his position.
00:08:51.000 His original position was Assad has to go, and Assad has to go right this moment.
00:08:55.000 Right there, you're hearing John Kerry talk specifically about how that's no longer the case.
00:08:58.000 We need now a negotiated solution where Assad leaves over the course of time, lest there be a vacuum.
00:09:04.000 And Assad reiterated—Kerry reiterated this.
00:09:07.000 He said that, you know, Vladimir Putin has to understand that Assad is what's blocking the solution, but Kerry has no ability to stand up to Putin or Assad, because the fact is that all Putin is involved in here is not fighting ISIL or fighting ISIS.
00:09:20.000 The only thing that Putin is involved in here is holding up
00:09:24.000 Assad.
00:09:25.000 That's his whole agenda here.
00:09:27.000 And again, this only happens, the only reason this happens is because President Obama left a major gap and Vladimir Putin filled it.
00:09:33.000 Now, Stalin was not able to take over the Middle East because Truman said no.
00:09:37.000 Putin, with a much weaker Soviet Union, he's trying to reconstitute the Soviet Union, a much weaker stance, Putin is now able to conquer vast swaths of the Middle East, or at least have his allies do so, because Barack Obama is weak.
00:09:48.000 You all, of course, remember in 2012 when Barack Obama drew his red line.
00:09:52.000 You remember this.
00:09:53.000 President Obama talking about his red line in 2012.
00:10:00.000 I have at this point not ordered military engagement in the situation, but the point that you made about chemical and biological weapons is critical.
00:10:13.000 That's an issue that doesn't just concern Syria.
00:10:15.000 It concerns our close allies in the region, including Israel.
00:10:20.000 It concerns us.
00:10:22.000 We're good to go.
00:10:41.000 We're good to go.
00:10:57.000 Vladimir Putin is now using that red line in the middle of the desert as an airstrip for his various bombers, which he is using against United States forces.
00:11:04.000 Now, the real question becomes, why should we care about any of this?
00:11:07.000 Why should we care that Putin is taking over the Middle East?
00:11:09.000 Why should we care that Iran is taking over half of Iraq?
00:11:12.000 Why should we care about any of this?
00:11:13.000 And the question is, is this a strategically valuable region for the United States?
00:11:17.000 Do we have any sort of human rights obligation?
00:11:19.000 These are two separate questions.
00:11:21.000 Because obviously, not every place there's a human rights violation does the United States have an interest in intervening.
00:11:27.000 However, that being said, clearly if we proclaim that we are supposed to be a pro-human rights country, then being involved in making promises to not one but two separate groups of people, really three, we made promises to the Kurds, we made promises to the Iraqis, and we made promises to the Syrians, that if they were to cooperate with us, they would not be targeted by the Assad regime or by Iran or by ISIS.
00:11:48.000 And then allowing all of them to be blown out of the water, that's a pretty big betrayal.
00:11:52.000 As far as this being a strategically important region, of course it's a strategically important region.
00:11:56.000 For all of the talk by Al Gore and his magical green energy about how it's going to cure the world, the fact is we are still an oil and natural gas-driven society.
00:12:05.000 We will continue to be a carbon-based fuels-driven society because carbon-based fuels are efficient and a disproportionate amount of carbon-based fuel comes from this particular region of the world.
00:12:15.000 Plus, the fact is terrorism that happens over there
00:12:17.000 Doesn't stay over there.
00:12:19.000 But what's amazing is the Obama administration, which really only has one obligation, to keep us safe and to advance American interests, they're now warning the Russians.
00:12:26.000 They're warning the Russians that the Russians should be careful in Syria.
00:12:29.000 Why?
00:12:30.000 Because we screwed it up in Iraq.
00:12:31.000 Seriously, this is their new response.
00:12:33.000 Their new response is not that the Russians ought to stop what they're doing because they're siding with the bad guys, or that they should stop bombing the good guys, or the Free Syrian Army in this particular case, even though there are problems with the Free Syrian Army.
00:12:44.000 That's not the argument the Obama administration is pushing.
00:12:46.000 The argument that they are now pushing is that Russia should be careful because if they're not careful, they might turn into a terribly evil country like the United States under George W. Bush.
00:12:55.000 Josh Earnest at the White House actually said that Russia being in Syria is like the United States being in Iraq.
00:13:00.000 This is how pernicious and nasty and venal this administration is, that the only
00:13:07.000 Simile that they can come up with.
00:13:09.000 The only similar situation that they can bring to mind in terms of the Russians utilizing a dictator to crush his own population is the United States overthrowing a dictator in Iraq.
00:13:19.000 Here is Josh Earnest at the White House blaming George W. Bush for everything because, of course, here was the line of policy.
00:13:24.000 George W. Bush invades Iraq, stabilizes Iraq.
00:13:27.000 Barack Obama comes in, destroys our stability in Iraq.
00:13:30.000 ISIS comes in because Obama destroyed that stability.
00:13:33.000 And now Syria is in chaos because of Obama.
00:13:36.000 But really, it's George W. Bush's fault, you see, for invading Iraq in the first place.
00:13:40.000 Here's Josh Earnest at the White House making a fool of himself, as he often does.
00:13:44.000 It means that Russia's not going to be successful in imposing a military solution inside of Syria.
00:13:48.000 And they'll be no more successful in that regard than the United States was in imposing a military solution in Iraq in the last decade.
00:13:54.000 And certainly no more successful than Russian efforts to impose a military solution on Afghanistan.
00:13:59.000 Three decades ago.
00:14:00.000 Okay, let's cut it.
00:14:01.000 That's ridiculous.
00:14:02.000 Okay, what he's saying is so stupid, it's beyond words.
00:14:04.000 First of all, the United States did impose a military solution in Iraq until the Obama administration blew it.
00:14:10.000 Second of all, when we invaded Iraq, we overthrew a dictator.
00:14:12.000 Currently, the Russians are being invited in by the dictator.
00:14:16.000 Okay, this is not in any way similar.
00:14:18.000 Okay, the United States went in to overthrow Saddam Hussein.
00:14:21.000 If Saddam Hussein had invited us in to crush his own people, that would be like what's going on in Syria right now.
00:14:25.000 What's going on in Syria right now, folks, is that Vladimir Putin has been invited in by Bashar Assad.
00:14:30.000 Bashar Assad wants him there to do his dirty work.
00:14:33.000 That is the purpose of Vladimir Putin being in Russia.
00:14:37.000 And here's where this all goes in the end.
00:14:40.000 The Free Syrian Army will be eliminated.
00:14:42.000 Russia has taken over the airspace over Syria.
00:14:44.000 We're not going to reimpose air restrictions on Russian forces because we're not willing to go to war with Russia and Putin knows that he has a sucker in the White House and so he can get away with anything that he wants to get away with.
00:14:54.000 So Russia will basically end up conquering Syria with Assad on the one hand and Iran coming in from the east on the other.
00:15:00.000 Meanwhile,
00:15:01.000 Vladimir Putin's already looking to consolidate his next territorial gains.
00:15:04.000 If you think Putin is going to stop here, folks, you are dead wrong.
00:15:07.000 Putin has already eaten Crimea.
00:15:09.000 He's already eaten most of Ukraine.
00:15:11.000 Putin has already moved on Georgia under George W. Bush.
00:15:14.000 I promise you, the next step for Vladimir Putin is going to be moving against Kazakhstan in the south, going after its oil-rich regions, or, more importantly, before Obama leaves office, Vladimir Putin, who is the greatest Russian leader, the most powerful Russian leader since Stalin,
00:15:30.000 The proof is in the pudding because of what he's been able to accomplish.
00:15:32.000 Vladimir Putin will break NATO.
00:15:34.000 And this will be the final crowning achievement of Vladimir Putin's tenure and President Obama's fecklessness, is when Vladimir Putin goes into Latvia or Estonia or Lithuania, a place with a heavy Russian population but is a member of NATO, and NATO does nothing.
00:15:47.000 Because they say it's just Russia reconsolidating ethnic Russians into her territory.
00:15:51.000 If NATO dies, that would be the greatest victory for Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union.
00:15:57.000 And that's on Putin's agenda.
00:15:59.000 Folks, here's the lesson.
00:16:01.000 A world without a powerful United States is not a world that is multipolar.
00:16:06.000 A world without a powerful United States, that gap will be filled by someone.
00:16:10.000 In this particular case, it's being filled by Vladimir Putin.
00:16:13.000 In the East, it's being filled by the Chinese.
00:16:15.000 And that makes the world a worse place, because Vladimir Putin is a brutal dictator, not only to his own people, but more importantly, to all of the nations that he is currently invading, or dictators with whom he is allying, whether it's in Syria or Iran.
00:16:28.000 We're about to enter some very dark days, and with a president this cowardly—and it's not even cowardice—with a president this corrupt in his moral thinking.
00:16:37.000 It's very difficult to see who's going to stop Vladimir Putin at this point.
00:16:42.000 We need a new president.
00:16:43.000 We need a Congress that's willing to stop this president.
00:16:46.000 And we need all of that forthwith because the United States is at low ebb on foreign policy and Vladimir Putin is drinking our milkshake.
00:16:53.000 More than that, he's getting a lot of people killed.
00:16:55.000 And by the way, that will mean more Americans dead in the future because this stuff always bleeds over.
00:16:59.000 It always does.
00:17:00.000 We can pretend it's not going to.
00:17:02.000 I promise you, Americans will die both in the Middle East and here at home.
00:17:05.000 If the United States continues to reduce its presence around the world, if we continue to draw into ourselves, and if we continue this nonsensical fecklessness that you see from John Kerry, who must be one of the five stupidest people on the planet if he actually believes the garbage that he's spewing at the United Nations.
00:17:21.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:17:22.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.
