00:00:00.000 Chicago implodes as Mayor Lori Lightfoot raises the bridges.
00:00:03.000 Trump issues an executive order to suspend the payroll tax as Joe Biden prepares to name a VP candidate.
00:00:08.000 And we deconstruct the culture by examining a new masterpiece from Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.
00:00:14.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:14.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.
00:00:25.000 Surf the web with peace of mind.
00:00:26.000 Sign up right now at expressvpn.com slash Ben.
00:00:29.000 What an exciting show we have for you today.
00:00:32.000 I hope that you had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
00:00:35.000 A quick note at the top of the show.
00:00:36.000 So I just want to note how some people on the radical left act because it is a reminder where we are in the country.
00:00:42.000 And this story happens to personally involve me.
00:00:44.000 So over the weekend, I start receiving all of these bizarre emails from people just cursing me out, which is like kind of a normal weekend, but A little bit more than a normal weekend.
00:00:52.000 And people saying they want to join Antifa, emailing me.
00:00:55.000 And then I realized yesterday that there is this rumor going around online, and I'm not kidding you, that I had started an Antifa website, like an Antifa recruiting website in order to catfish members of Antifa.
00:01:06.000 Okay, and this rumor was so prevalent because there were some big name people on the left Who are putting out this rumor.
00:01:13.000 It was pushed by idiots on Reddit, obviously.
00:01:17.000 And it was perfectly obvious.
00:01:19.000 What happened is they set up a fake Antifa recruiting website.
00:01:22.000 And then in the fake Antifa recruiting website, they put my public email address in the source code such that it was searchable.
00:01:30.000 And then they released that information on Reddit.
00:01:32.000 And then everybody on the left apparently bought into this.
00:01:34.000 So some person named El Stanger, who is apparently some Wild left LGBT activist tweeted out, Ben Shapiro got caught as the creator of an Antifa recruitment website.
00:01:45.000 Ha ha ha.
00:01:48.000 117,000 likes.
00:01:49.000 117,000 likes.
00:01:50.000 And the geniuses and grifters over at the Lincoln Project tweeting back graphics in response as though it's real.
00:01:56.000 Okay, so I start getting inundated with texts and emails from both the Reddit trolls and from people on Twitter like, what the hell is this?
00:02:03.000 It turns out, obviously, that it was a prank by some Reddit idiot.
00:02:07.000 And the person is now going out there and recognizing this is what's happened.
00:02:11.000 The person's name is Adam Rahuba.
00:02:13.000 And he tweeted out, since this prank is going viral, and we know he'll spin it to play victim, Ben Shapiro did not set up a fake Antifa site.
00:02:20.000 I thought it'd be fun to hide his name in the source code.
00:02:22.000 I'm not acting as part of any leftist group.
00:02:24.000 I did it because I think he's a turd.
00:02:26.000 If you want to support any future trolling attempts, then mow me.
00:02:29.000 Here's how it went.
00:02:31.000 This piece of garbage decided to put my name in a fake Antifa recruitment website specifically to, you know, make my life more annoying over the weekend.
00:02:39.000 And I'll be honest with you.
00:02:40.000 The good news is I don't have to check my email.
00:02:41.000 So I really didn't care very much.
00:02:43.000 And also I don't have Twitter on my phone because Twitter is stupid.
00:02:46.000 And I found out about it like late last night, early this morning.
00:02:48.000 So it was like mildly annoying, but it wasn't like super duper annoying.
00:02:52.000 And then the person tried to raise money off of it.
00:02:54.000 This just shows you where the heads are at for the radical left right now.
00:02:57.000 And this went around as though it was real.
00:02:59.000 They're like big-name people on the left who are promoting this garbage, and it was perfectly obvious it was garbage from the very beginning.
00:03:04.000 So that's how my weekend went.
00:03:05.000 I hope that you had a wonderful, wonderful weekend.
00:03:09.000 Meanwhile, over the weekend, the big news, obviously, is that the President of the United States signed an executive order, President Trump angry at the Democrats for not having worked with Republicans in order to pass some sort of Bailout bill.
00:03:23.000 It's not really a bailout bill.
00:03:24.000 Kind of continuing funding for unemployment insurance because of the pandemic.
00:03:28.000 Because the Democrats, because Nancy Pelosi's been holding this thing up, President Trump signed an executive order.
00:03:33.000 And I have thoughts on the executive order.
00:03:35.000 First, it is important to note the politics of the situation.
00:03:37.000 Okay?
00:03:38.000 It is actually quite smart for Trump politically.
00:03:39.000 Then we'll get to the actual constitutionality of this thing.
00:03:42.000 Here's my view of executive orders generally.
00:03:44.000 Executive orders were always meant to effectuate legislation.
00:03:46.000 That is what executive orders are meant to do.
00:03:48.000 The president does not have unlimited power to simply sign into law whatever he wants to sign into law.
00:03:52.000 Typically, an executive order happens when Congress says, we want the president to do X, and in order to effectuate X, the president then signs an executive order to do...
00:04:01.000 acts, right, to be more specific. So Congress gives you sort of a broad mandate and the president puts that into place via an executive order. That's not really what happened here.
00:04:09.000 The problem for Democrats is several fold here. One, politically speaking, the Democrats did hold up a rescue package. Two, Trump took action to fill in the gap. Three, when Democrats then fight back against that and try to sue him to stop that rescue package from going forward, they look So politically, it's actually quite smart what Trump did here.
00:04:28.000 I mean, those are not normally words you hear me saying, but that is a politically smart move by the president of the United States.
00:04:34.000 Trump is politically smart.
00:04:35.000 It is not a good thing.
00:04:37.000 It is not good that we are now governed by executive order.
00:04:39.000 But it is also true that when Democrats protest that and when the media protests that, I can think of only two words.
00:04:43.000 Barack Obama, who governed with literally a pen and a phone for the last several years of his administration.
00:04:48.000 We'll get to all of that in a second.
00:04:49.000 First, a quick reminder, Democrats held up any possibility at a rescue package last week.
00:04:53.000 Senator Rob Portman from Ohio, he was pointing out on Thursday that all the Democrats had to do was sign for like one week an extension of unemployment insurance for like one week so that the negotiations could continue.
00:05:06.000 And they didn't.
00:05:06.000 Here was Senator Rob Portman from Ohio pointing this out on Thursday.
00:05:11.000 One idea, by the way, that makes a lot of sense to me, and I'm going to offer this in a moment as a resolution for the Senate to take up, and I think this is the ultimate common sense, let's keep $600 in place for now while we negotiate something.
00:05:28.000 So let's have an extension for another week on the unemployment insurance at $600 just so we can negotiate something.
00:05:36.000 Okay, and Democrats turned that down.
00:05:38.000 Nancy Pelosi went out there and she said she wasn't going to sign anything.
00:05:40.000 Nancy Pelosi wanted to throw a wrench into the works simply so she could try and blame Republicans when the money ran out and the economy started to crater.
00:05:47.000 That was the overt and obvious goal here.
00:05:50.000 That was the overt obvious goal.
00:05:51.000 So President Trump avoided that with, again, a smart political move.
00:05:54.000 It may be unconstitutional.
00:05:56.000 It may be that he has exceeded his executive boundaries.
00:05:59.000 It may also be that we now live in a country where Checks and balances no longer matter, and the executive branch has usurped virtually all authority, and that predates President Trump.
00:06:06.000 You know, one of the great tragedies of history is that very rarely do people who breach boundaries end up paying the price.
00:06:13.000 Usually the people who are, like, second after that.
00:06:16.000 Usually the government is given inordinate powers, and then the person two people later uses those inordinate powers in ways no one's thought of, and they're like, oh wow, that's crazy.
00:06:23.000 In any case, Here's what Trump actually did.
00:06:26.000 According to CNN, Trump tried to assert executive power, signing four actions on coronavirus relief on Saturday, one of which will provide as much as $400 in enhanced unemployment benefits after Democrats in the White House were unable to reach an agreement on a stimulus bill this week.
00:06:39.000 That memorandum on enhanced unemployment benefits, 25% of which states are being asked to cover, has a lot of strings attached.
00:06:46.000 It is seen as a cumbersome effort that may not help a lot of the unemployed.
00:06:48.000 I love how CNN covers this stuff, right?
00:06:50.000 If Barack Obama signs an executive order to do anything, literally anything, Then it was a good move.
00:06:55.000 It was always a good move.
00:06:56.000 DACA was a good move.
00:06:57.000 Delaying the employer mandate was a good move.
00:07:00.000 And it was definitely going to help the American people.
00:07:01.000 Trump does something to act in the absence of congressional action.
00:07:05.000 And it's obviously a bad move.
00:07:06.000 Always.
00:07:07.000 Because his last name is Trump, obviously.
00:07:08.000 The other three actions he signed include a memorandum on a payroll tax holiday for Americans earning less than $100,000 a year, an executive order on assistance to renters and homeowners, and a memo on deferring student loan payments.
00:07:19.000 Some of these he has more executive authority for.
00:07:20.000 Some of these he really does not.
00:07:22.000 Delaying the payroll tax.
00:07:23.000 He has some executive authority for that, given what Barack Obama did.
00:07:28.000 Deferring student loan payments.
00:07:29.000 He has a lot of executive authority for that, actually, under the existing law.
00:07:32.000 He didn't really do anything about assistance to renters and homeowners.
00:07:36.000 He basically kicked it over to the Housing and Urban Development Department to assess what they could do.
00:07:42.000 And then on unemployment, he basically kicked that to the states.
00:07:45.000 Trump said in a memorandum on the unemployment benefits at his golf club in Bedminster, I'm taking action to provide an additional or extra $400 a week and expanded benefits.
00:07:53.000 $400, that's generous, but we want to take care of our people.
00:07:56.000 In order for this to happen, a state has to enter into a financial arrangement with the federal government for any unemployed person living there to get any of the additional benefits.
00:08:03.000 And the federal government is requiring states to pick up the tab for $100 of the $400 additional benefit each person may be able to receive weekly in additional aid.
00:08:12.000 Up to $44 billion from the Disaster Relief Fund would be made available for lost wage assistance.
00:08:16.000 So he has the ability, under executive law, he does have the ability to shift some funds from sort of general funding under the Disaster Relief Fund.
00:08:22.000 It's stretching the definition, for sure.
00:08:25.000 And it is constitutionally questionable, as I say.
00:08:27.000 It is also politically smart.
00:08:29.000 And the way you can tell that it's politically smart is the Democrats are losing their minds.
00:08:32.000 They are very, very upset about this because they thought they had them boxed in.
00:08:35.000 They thought that simply by preventing any sort of relief package from taking place, they would be able to turn around and blame Republicans.
00:08:42.000 A Democratic official said that Democrats were not given any heads up on the executive action.
00:08:46.000 They said their funds are completely tapped.
00:08:49.000 And so the states won't be able to help out.
00:08:51.000 In fact, states have asked Congress to provide them with an additional $500 billion to help shore up their budgets, which have been crushed by the loss of tax revenue amid the pandemic.
00:09:01.000 Several experts told CNN there are major questions about how many states may be able to afford the extra cost if a state says it doesn't have the funds or doesn't want to enter into an agreement with the feds.
00:09:09.000 The unemployed in that state would receive zero dollars in the extra benefits.
00:09:14.000 They would still receive normal state unemployment insurance.
00:09:17.000 So this is not going to solve all of the problems.
00:09:19.000 But again, it is a smart political move.
00:09:21.000 In a second, we are going to get to how you can tell it's a smart political move, the Democratic reaction to all of this.
00:09:27.000 Again, two things can be true at once.
00:09:28.000 One, I don't like when the President of the United States of whichever party exceeds executive boundaries.
00:09:33.000 It is a violation of the Constitution.
00:09:34.000 And two, this is a smart political move and Democrats have no card to play.
00:09:38.000 So both of those things can be simultaneously true all at once.
00:09:41.000 Senator Mitch McConnell He said struggling Americans need action now since Democrats have sabotaged backroom talks with absurd demands that would not help working people.
00:09:48.000 I support President Trump exploring his options to get unemployment benefits and other relief to the people who need them most.
00:09:54.000 We'll get to all of the reactions from Democrats and from the media in just one second.
00:09:58.000 First, let us talk about the fact that does it feel like your rights are under assault these days?
00:10:02.000 Have you been watching as our major cities seem to be almost burning to the ground?
00:10:05.000 I mean, it just feels awful out there.
00:10:07.000 Between what's going on in Chicago, which we'll get to, and in Portland, and in Seattle, and in Los Angeles, and in New York, it feels like maybe you might want to own a firearm to defend yourself from your rights.
00:10:16.000 It feels like that time, right?
00:10:17.000 Gun sales are at an all-time high.
00:10:19.000 Well, this is why you might want to rely on my friends over at Bravo Company Manufacturing.
00:10:23.000 The people at Bravo Company MFG support the right of responsible private individuals to have the access and ability to employ the same tools as civilian law enforcement as a means of defending ourselves, our loved ones, our communities, and our freedoms.

00:11:17.000 Okay, so.
00:11:18.000 Joe Biden reacted by suggesting that the executive order to cut the payroll tax particularly was a war on social security.
00:11:24.000 His idea here, so the payroll tax usually is money that goes toward social security.
00:11:28.000 You pay some, your employer pays some.
00:11:30.000 When a payroll tax holiday is declared or when there is a payroll tax cut, then the money is usually filled in through general funding to social security.
00:11:38.000 It's a way of delaying the cost of Social Security, but the benefits never get cut.
00:11:43.000 And government never allows Social Security benefits to ever get cut.
00:11:46.000 Didn't stop Joe Biden from lying about this.
00:11:48.000 He said that the payroll tax cut was a threat to Social Security.
00:11:52.000 And he said it's a reckless war on Social Security, actually.
00:11:56.000 He said it would undermine the financial footing of Social Security, which is hilarious.
00:11:58.000 There is no financial footing to Social Security.
00:12:00.000 Social Security is a Ponzi scheme.
00:12:02.000 Social Security, there is no lock box.
00:12:04.000 The money you paid through your payroll tax is not there.
00:12:07.000 It has been paid out to other people.
00:12:08.000 It'll be later taxpayers who foot the bill for your retirement, if they foot the bill for your retirement at all.
00:12:13.000 Biden said he's laying out his roadmap to cutting Social Security.
00:12:16.000 Our seniors and millions of Americans with disabilities are under enough stress without Trump putting their hard-earned Social Security benefits in doubt.
00:12:22.000 So the Democrats have taken a couple of tacks on Trump's executive order.
00:12:25.000 One is that it doesn't do anything.
00:12:26.000 It's ineffective.
00:12:27.000 Two is it does everything and is deeply effective and is bad.
00:12:30.000 And they're trying to make both of these arguments simultaneously.
00:12:32.000 So you got Joe Biden saying it's really bad and it's really scary.
00:12:35.000 He's going to be cutting the payroll tax.
00:12:36.000 And by cutting the payroll tax, he's undermining Social Security.
00:12:39.000 I'm old enough to remember when Barack Obama signed a payroll tax cut into law.
00:12:43.000 I'm old enough to remember that.
00:12:44.000 In fact, I can look at the at the White House website, the Obama White House website, February 22nd, 2012.
00:12:50.000 Just now, President Obama signed the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012, extending the payroll tax cut and emergency jobless benefits through the end of the year.
00:12:59.000 President Obama was very, very happy about this.
00:13:01.000 And in fact, David Plouffe, the senior advisor, said at the time, when President Obama asked you to speak out on the payroll tax cut, you jumped into action.
00:13:08.000 Thousands of individuals from across the country wrote in to say what $40 with each paycheck means to their families.
00:13:15.000 So I'm old enough to remember when somebody not named Trump was president, and nobody in the media seemed to care about a payroll tax cut.
00:13:19.000 In fact, Barack Obama pushed the payroll tax cut in 2011.
00:13:23.000 Here's Barack Obama pushing exactly the same sort of evil, evil payroll tax cut that Joe Biden says is going to undermine Social Security.
00:13:30.000 Who was vice president when this guy was president again?
00:13:32.000 Who was it?
00:13:33.000 Joe Biden may not remember, but I do.
00:13:34.000 Here's Barack Obama.
00:13:38.000 Now, let's be clear.
00:13:40.000 Right now, the bipartisan compromise that was reached on Saturday is the only viable way to prevent a tax hike on January 1st.
00:13:50.000 It's the only one.
00:13:52.000 All of the leaders in Congress, Democrats and Republicans, say they are committed to making sure we extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment insurance for the entire year.
00:14:03.000 And by the way, this is something I called for months ago.
00:14:07.000 Okay, he called four months ago, right?
00:14:08.000 And this is Barack Obama, back in the day, saying the payroll tax cuts are good.
00:14:11.000 By the way, you know who else used to say payroll tax cuts were good?
00:14:13.000 Nancy Pelosi.
00:14:14.000 In fact, she was asked specifically whether payroll tax cuts undermine the future of Social Security.
00:14:18.000 This is back at the time.
00:14:19.000 And here's Nancy Pelosi being like, no, it's good.
00:14:21.000 It's fine.
00:14:21.000 It'll be good.
00:14:21.000 It's all fine.
00:14:22.000 Nancy Pelosi, back when her attention was a little less a-clackin'.
00:14:25.000 This does take money out of the Social Security Trust Fund, and then it may never fully be refunded, repaid.
00:14:32.000 No, I don't worry about that.
00:14:34.000 She doesn't worry about it at all.
00:14:36.000 Back in the day, she didn't worry about it.
00:14:37.000 But now, they're undermining social security, guys.
00:14:39.000 And the media run with this headline.
00:14:40.000 Because the media, as we'll talk about in a second, are just awful.
00:14:42.000 The media ran with the headline that this is undermining social security, the benefits are gonna be cut.
00:14:46.000 They're not gonna be cut.
00:14:47.000 Benefits are not going anywhere.
00:14:49.000 A payroll tax holiday is a good idea because you're paying less taxes in the here and now.
00:14:53.000 And right now, given the fact that employment is scanty and we need to be bolstering businesses, allowing them to keep some of the money, at least for the moment, is a good idea.
00:15:02.000 The media are fibbing about it anyway.
00:15:02.000 Doesn't matter.
00:15:04.000 We're going to get to the second democratic reaction, which is all a stunt.
00:15:07.000 These executive orders, they mean nothing.
00:15:08.000 Well, then why are you so mad about it?
00:15:09.000 Why so mad, bro?
00:15:10.000 You mad, bro?
00:15:11.000 We're going to get to that in just one second.

00:15:18.000 It turns out there are lots of people online who don't like me and target me and dox me and all that sort of stuff.
00:15:22.000 So I care a lot about knowing what's going on on my property and also right outside my property, which is why I have Ring devices on my property.

00:16:18.000 Go check them out right now.
00:16:19.000 Okay, so...
00:16:20.000 Even Chris Wallace, right, who has not been, I would say, particularly friendly to President Trump over on Fox News.
00:16:26.000 He asked Nancy Pelosi, didn't you botch this?
00:16:28.000 Like, you could have cut some sort of deal.
00:16:28.000 Didn't you botch this?
00:16:30.000 Instead, you decided to go for like a $4 trillion package that funded pretty much everything up to and including, you know, Garbage.
00:16:38.000 Just garbage that has nothing to do with trying to save the economy.
00:16:42.000 And Nancy Pelosi has no answer because of course that's what she was doing.
00:16:45.000 It was obviously an attempt to poison pill the process so that when the thing went down she could blame Trump and she could blame Republicans.
00:16:50.000 Here's Chris Wallace calling her on it.
00:16:53.000 You're known as a master negotiator, but didn't you mess this one up?
00:16:58.000 Because you talk about all the things that the president's bill... Let me just finish if I may, Speaker.
00:17:04.000 Now, because there's no deal at all, cities and states won't get any money.
00:17:09.000 There's no money for the post office.
00:17:11.000 There's no money for hospitals.
00:17:13.000 There's no money for state boards of election.
00:17:16.000 You knew.
00:17:17.000 That the president was threatening to take this executive action.
00:17:20.000 I understand that you weren't going to get everything you wanted and didn't get everything you wanted.
00:17:26.000 But should you have cut a deal?
00:17:28.000 And are you ready to go back into talks to try to come up with a fuller package?
00:17:33.000 She had no good answer to this because, of course, that was entirely her plan.
00:17:36.000 Now, the other angle Democrats have taken on the executive orders, they were saying it's unconstitutional and it's illegal.
00:17:42.000 Barack Obama used executive orders in deeply illegal ways.
00:17:46.000 He acknowledged that what he was doing was illegal.
00:17:47.000 He said for years, I don't have the executive power in order to simply defer action on DACA.
00:17:52.000 I can't just say that people who are in the country illegally can stay.
00:17:55.000 That's not something I can do.
00:17:56.000 And then he just did it, right?
00:17:57.000 Then he just did deferred action for childhood rivals.
00:17:59.000 He just did it.
00:18:00.000 Barack Obama said in 2013, Obamacare was supposed to kick in the employer mandate in 2013.
00:18:05.000 Instead, Barack Obama delayed it for a couple of years simply so he wouldn't feel the political blowback when suddenly employers were forced to cover Obamacare.
00:18:13.000 Right.
00:18:13.000 And so you just delayed it by executive order.
00:18:15.000 It didn't matter that it ran exactly contrary to the text of Obamacare.
00:18:19.000 So Barack Obama used executive action in unprecedented ways.
00:18:22.000 It was a complete violation of the constitutional order.
00:18:25.000 Well, you may think that that's what Trump did here.
00:18:26.000 And I think there's a strong case to be made that he exceeded executive boundaries here.
00:18:30.000 But Democrats have no leg to stand on here, like no leg to stand on.
00:18:33.000 And yet the media jumped into this and were like, how could you use executive orders this way?
00:18:37.000 Where were you guys for eight years?
00:18:39.000 Where were you?
00:18:39.000 We're going to get to the media in just one second.
00:18:41.000 First, the other angle the Democrats were taking here was that the executive actions are just a stunt.
00:18:45.000 They don't mean anything.
00:18:46.000 Here is Chuck Schumer, the Senate minority leader, desperately trying to spin this as Trump not trying to help the American people.
00:18:51.000 The event at the country club is just what Trump does.
00:18:54.000 A big show, but it doesn't do anything.
00:18:56.000 And as the American people look at these executive orders, they'll see they don't come close to doing the job.
00:19:02.000 In two ways.
00:19:04.000 One, what they proposed.
00:19:06.000 And second, what's left out.
00:19:09.000 Okay, pretty incredible stuff right there, right?
00:19:11.000 It doesn't do anything, so simultaneously it undermines and destroys social security, and also it does nothing.
00:19:17.000 The media, of course, jump on board here, and they started grilling Trump on the executive order.
00:19:20.000 Is this illegal, Mr. President?
00:19:21.000 Is this illegal?
00:19:23.000 Listen, I'm fine with reporters asking Trump whether the executive order breaches the boundaries of the Constitution.
00:19:28.000 That is fine with me.
00:19:29.000 My question is not whether the media are too aggressive with Trump.
00:19:32.000 It's where the F were you guys for eight long years when Barack Obama was violating every constitutional boundary.
00:19:38.000 Like all of them.
00:19:40.000 Barack Obama routinely violated the Constitution.
00:19:42.000 The man declared an undeclared war in Libya.
00:19:45.000 Which ended not so well, as I recall.
00:19:48.000 He was droning American citizens overseas.
00:19:52.000 They may have been bad, right?
00:19:54.000 They may have been terrorists, but that was dicey, legally, at the very, very least.
00:19:58.000 In any case, where were you guys?
00:20:00.000 Like, where were you?
00:20:01.000 They grilled Trump on this, however, so the hypocrisy of the media was on full display.
00:20:04.000 Again, they want to ask him these questions.
00:20:05.000 I think they're perfectly legit questions to ask Trump.
00:20:07.000 My only question is, where the hell were you guys for years, for years?
00:20:11.000 I think we know the answer, and I'll get to it in a second.
00:20:12.000 Here are the media going after Trump over the weekend.
00:20:15.000 So you're trying to set a new precedent that the president can go around Congress and decide how much he's collecting?
00:20:20.000 You ever hear the word obstruction?
00:20:22.000 They've obstructed.
00:20:23.000 Congress has obstructed.
00:20:25.000 The Democrats have obstructed people from getting desperately needed money.
00:20:28.000 Go ahead, please.
00:20:29.000 Right here.
00:20:30.000 I mean, why do you keep saying that you passed Veterans Choice?
00:20:34.000 You keep saying that you passed it.
00:20:37.000 You keep saying that you passed Veterans Choice.
00:20:39.000 It was passed in 2014.
00:20:40.000 Excuse me.
00:20:41.000 Go ahead.
00:20:42.000 But it was a false statement, sir.
00:20:43.000 Okay.
00:20:44.000 Thank you very much, everybody.
00:20:45.000 Thank you very much.
00:20:46.000 Okay, people were angry that he ended the press conference because one of the reporters wouldn't stop asking him the same question over and over again.
00:20:53.000 So, meanwhile, meanwhile, the media's gaslighting here continues.
00:20:58.000 So the media covered this executive order as though it was really, really bad.
00:21:00.000 Now we all know for a fact.
00:21:02.000 That if Barack Obama had not been able to negotiate an agreement with Republicans in the middle of a pandemic to extend aid, and then he had unilaterally gone and done it, they would have cheered.
00:21:11.000 And we know that because they literally cheered when he did it with DACA, right?
00:21:14.000 He said, I can't cut a deal with Congress.
00:21:15.000 I can't cut a deal with Congress.
00:21:16.000 I can't do it.
00:21:17.000 I won't make a deal.
00:21:18.000 So I'm just doing it myself.
00:21:19.000 And we were like, ah, ah!
00:21:21.000 And we on the right were like, um, that's not how the constitution works.
00:21:24.000 You don't get to say, if I can't cut a deal, I'm just going to do it myself.
00:21:28.000 But the media did.
00:21:30.000 And then, when it's Trump, then all of a sudden they care about the Constitution again.
00:21:33.000 It's incredible how it kicks right back into place.
00:21:35.000 Now, again, I'm not in love, for the 1,000th time, this episode alone, I'm not in love with the Executive Order.
00:21:41.000 I don't like it.
00:21:42.000 I don't think the President of the United States has the unilateral authority to do these kinds of things.
00:21:46.000 But the media definitely do not get to stand there and now stand on the corpse of the Constitution they helped shiv and be like, oh guys, you know, this is real bad.
00:21:53.000 This is real bad.
00:21:55.000 The thing about the media that you have to understand, though, at least many members of the mainstream media, is the lack of self-awareness is just incredible, just unbelievable.
00:22:01.000 So Brian Stelter, who, you know, I find Brian amusing, I will say.
00:22:06.000 I've been on his show a few times, a nice guy, but Brian Stelter on CNN.
00:22:09.000 Over the weekend, he literally had on a liberal journalist and he asked them, you know, there are all these media outlets and they're out there trying to destroy Biden.
00:22:19.000 They're after Biden.
00:22:21.000 Why don't we see anything like media companies trying to tear down Trump?
00:22:25.000 This is a thing that Brian Stelter said as a human with a face and a brain presumably inside that gourd.
00:22:31.000 Here was Brian Stelter saying something that it's like, do you own a mirror?
00:22:34.000 Have you ever seen CNN?
00:22:35.000 I mean, I got Brian Stelter may never have seen CNN, right?
00:22:37.000 I mean, he spends all day watching Fox News.
00:22:38.000 So maybe he doesn't understand CNN exists.
00:22:40.000 Here he was on CNN asking whether there is a network dedicated to the destruction of Donald Trump.
00:22:47.000 Aaron, your view of this, you know, when you see entire media companies essentially exist to tear down Joe Biden, is there an equivalent to that on the left tearing down Trump?
00:22:57.000 Is there an equivalent to that?
00:22:59.000 There really isn't.
00:23:01.000 There really isn't.
00:23:02.000 There's no...
00:23:04.000 What?
00:23:04.000 I mean, I'm watching CNN.
00:23:06.000 I'm watching CNN right now.
00:23:07.000 They spent like years with every piece of breaking news was Donald Trump's about to go down for Russian collusion.
00:23:14.000 Every segment on CNN has a chyron about how Trump's a liar and a bastard.
00:23:17.000 And there's Brian Stelter being like.
00:23:19.000 Have you ever seen anything like this attack on Joe Biden?
00:23:21.000 I mean, like people attacking Joe Biden, a presidential candidate?
00:23:25.000 In a second, we'll get to more Brian Stelter because it's pretty highly amusing.
00:23:28.000 First, let us talk about the fact that you hear stories in the news all the time these days about people defending their own property with a gun and then being arrested for it.
00:23:35.000 In fact, we saw that crazy story out of St.
00:23:37.000 Louis where Where Black Lives Matter, I mean, you have to call them rioters because they literally broke into a private gated community and then they threatened somebody's house and the guy walked out front with his gun and then he was arrested for it, right?
00:23:50.000 And his wife and he were issued charges.
00:23:53.000 We hear those stories in the news.
00:23:54.000 The legal system is not always fair.
00:23:56.000 Responsibly armed Americans sometimes become political targets.
00:23:59.000 It's not.
00:24:00.000 Right, for good, responsible Americans to wind up in jail or embroiled in a lawsuit if you defend yourself or your family.
00:24:05.000 In this day and age, you need a gun to protect yourself and your family.
00:24:08.000 Here's how you can take a simple and powerful journey to firearms and self-defense confidence.
00:24:11.000 It's called the Complete Concealed Carry and Family Defense Guide from the United States Concealed Carry Association.
00:24:16.000 It is 100% free.
00:24:18.000 You'll learn from the USCCA how to detect attackers before they see you, how to survive a mass shooting, the safest and most dangerous places to sit in a restaurant, how to responsibly own and store a gun even if you got little kids, and a whole lot more.
00:24:29.000 It's 164 pages.
00:24:30.000 It comes with a bonus audio version so you can listen whenever you want.
00:24:34.000 Listen, I own my own firearm.
00:24:35.000 It is important to know how to responsibly use that firearm.
00:24:38.000 To get this guide, text Ben to 87222.
00:24:41.000 You'll get instant access and a chance to win a thousand bucks so you can buy a gun to protect your family in safe and responsible fashion.
00:24:47.000 Text Ben to 87222 right now.
00:24:49.000 Again, text my name Ben to 87222 right now and join the USCCA, a fantastic, fantastic organization.
00:24:56.000 Okay, Brian Stelter didn't just stop with being unaware of Of media companies trying to tear down Trump.
00:25:05.000 Brian Stelter also, this is my favorite clip actually from Brian Stelter's show this weekend on CNN.
00:25:09.000 He was very angry because it turns out that many of us on the right, and by the way, some on the left, have questioned Joe Biden's mental fitness because, I will say it again, Joe Biden is barely alive.
00:25:18.000 I mean, his mental acuity is not what it used to be.
00:25:21.000 It is perfectly obvious from watching any clip of him.
00:25:23.000 Brian Stelter decided that all of us are insane for suggesting that Joe Biden is not mentally fit because Joe Biden rode a bicycle over the weekend.
00:25:34.000 This is a thing that happened on CNN.
00:25:36.000 Don't worry though, they're not just flax for Democrats.
00:25:39.000 Here is Brian Stelter.
00:25:42.000 Look at what Fox News saw on Saturday at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
00:25:46.000 This is Joe Biden out there on a vigorous bike ride.
00:25:50.000 Not wearing a helmet, but definitely wearing a mask, by the way.
00:25:54.000 Fox's narrative and Talk Radio's narrative for months has been that Joe Biden is falling apart.
00:26:00.000 You just heard Ben Shapiro say it.
00:26:02.000 Falling apart.
00:26:04.000 And there he is riding a bike, out for a bike ride, and Fox, of all networks, is the one that showed it happened.
00:26:10.000 Owned!
00:26:11.000 Owned!
00:26:12.000 Oh my god, I've been owned!
00:26:13.000 Joe Biden can ride a bicycle!
00:26:16.000 You know, like a dog, like, riding a bicycle.
00:26:18.000 Like Perry Herman, riding a bicycle.
00:26:20.000 Wow!
00:26:21.000 He must be mentally fit to be president now, because he rides a bicycle.
00:26:24.000 You know who else is probably mentally fit to be president?
00:26:26.000 My four-year-old son who rides a bicycle.
00:26:29.000 He's four.
00:26:31.000 He watches Octonauts.
00:26:33.000 He knows about the Creature Reports.
00:26:36.000 Clearly, my son, my four-year-old, is fit to be president of the United States.
00:26:41.000 He has the mental acuity of Joe Biden.
00:26:43.000 He can ride a bicycle.
00:26:44.000 I can't believe it.
00:26:45.000 Now that I know that Joe Biden rides a bicycle, can ride a bicycle as a nearly 80-year-old man, that means he's probably with it.
00:26:52.000 It's all good.
00:26:54.000 All those clips of him saying things like all black people think the same?
00:26:57.000 And him not being able to put together full sentences?
00:27:00.000 And him wandering off blithely into the wilderness of verbiage?
00:27:04.000 All those weird clips of him just kind of like, my time has run out.
00:27:07.000 I was going to say something, but I didn't.
00:27:10.000 All that doesn't... He rode a bike, guys.
00:27:12.000 But don't worry, CNN is not a flak channel for Joe Biden or an attack channel on Donald Trump.
00:27:18.000 Brian Stelter, man.
00:27:20.000 The name of that show is Reliable Sources.
00:27:22.000 That's the name of that show, is Reliable Sources.
00:27:25.000 I couldn't love that more.
00:27:26.000 That his case proved Joe Biden is fit to be president.
00:27:30.000 The man can stay upright on a two-wheel bicycle.
00:27:35.000 Wow!
00:27:36.000 Like a clown, like a funny, funny clown.
00:27:37.000 He can ride a bicycle.
00:27:39.000 Imagine if he could ride a unicycle.
00:27:40.000 I mean, my goodness.
00:27:41.000 If Joe Biden could ride a unicycle, then we should probably make him emperor.
00:27:45.000 If he could fit inside a clown car, even, we should probably just make him president.
00:27:49.000 Pretty incredible stuff.
00:27:51.000 Meanwhile, speaking of media bias, I've got a bunch of media bias headlines here that are pretty spectacular.
00:27:56.000 So, over the weekend, there was a report that the top U.S.
00:28:00.000 intelligence officials, counterintelligence officials, have been warning of foreign interference in our elections.
00:28:05.000 And what they found is that the Russians have been trying to interfere on behalf of Donald Trump, that the Chinese have been trying to interfere on behalf of Joe Biden, and that the Iranians have been trying to interfere on behalf of Joe Biden.
00:28:15.000 They put out a statement and said, we assess that China prefers that President Trump does not win re-election.
00:28:20.000 China has been expanding its influence efforts ahead of November 2020.
00:28:23.000 Although China will continue to weigh the risks and benefits of aggressive action, its public rhetoric over the past few months has grown increasingly critical of the current administration.
00:28:31.000 Okay, on Russia, we assess that Russia is using a range of measures to primarily denigrate former Vice President Biden and what it sees as an anti-Russia establishment.
00:28:38.000 This is consistent with Moscow's public criticism of him when he was vice president for his role in the Obama administration's policies in Ukraine.
00:28:46.000 Some Kremlin linked actors are seeking to boost President Trump's candidacy on social media and Russian TV.
00:28:51.000 Iran.
00:28:52.000 We assess that Iran seeks to undermine U.S.
00:28:53.000 democratic institutions, President Trump, and to divide the country in advance of 2020.
00:28:56.000 Iran's efforts along these lines probably will focus on online influence, such as spreading disinformation on social media and recirculating anti-U.S.
00:29:04.000 content.
00:29:05.000 Tehran's motivation is in part driven by perception that Trump's reelection would result in a continuation of U.S.
00:29:10.000 pressure on Iran.
00:29:11.000 Okay, so the Russians want Trump apparently, according to this counterintelligence memo.
00:29:14.000 The Chinese and Iranians, they want Biden, which makes perfect sense.
00:29:17.000 The Iranians know that Joe Biden will cave to them and that he wants to re-enter the garbage Iran nuclear deal.
00:29:23.000 The Chinese know that Biden is soft on China.
00:29:26.000 And the Russians have always been in favor of sort of the chaos that Trump represents, even though Trump is actually in policy much more anti-Russian than the Obama administration ever was.
00:29:36.000 So naturally, the media's takeaway from this?
00:29:38.000 The media's takeaway from this tripartite counterintelligence report?
00:29:42.000 Is that the Russians are trying to steal the election and then they just conveniently forgot about the parts about China and Iran.
00:29:47.000 It's truly amazing.
00:29:48.000 CBS's Margaret Brennan asked the National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien whether Trump was letting the Russians interfere.
00:29:55.000 Never mentioned was China.
00:29:56.000 Never mentioned was Iran.
00:29:58.000 I mean, shockingly, the media only focused in on one aspect of the report, the Kremlin.
00:30:02.000 They don't care that the Chinese, who are, by the way, way more powerful than the Russians, or that the Iranians, who are far more malevolent than probably either, are both stumping for Biden.
00:30:10.000 That just went completely by the wayside.
00:30:11.000 Completely by the wayside.
00:30:12.000 Here's Margaret Brennan, Journalism Inc.
00:30:15.000 When President Trump spoke to Vladimir Putin July 23rd, did he tell him to knock this off?
00:30:21.000 But they're doing it again, is what you're saying.
00:30:23.000 So the message clearly wasn't received.
00:30:25.000 Did President Trump say to Vladimir Putin, knock it off this time?
00:30:29.000 The big question here, obviously, is Russia, right?
00:30:31.000 Everything else goes away.
00:30:33.000 Okay, meanwhile, in other news, well, you know what?
00:30:36.000 I do have to add one note on an amazing New York Times headline over the weekend, because the New York Times has basically just become BuzzFeed.
00:30:42.000 Over at the New York Times, they literally ran a headline.
00:30:44.000 They tweeted this out.
00:30:46.000 It's hard to fathom, but it has been 36 years since a man and a woman ran together on a Democratic Party ticket, writes Maureen Dowd, to use Geraldine Ferraro's favorite expression, give me a break.
00:30:54.000 They're calling for Joe Biden to run with a female VP.
00:30:56.000 Um, I don't mean to fact-check the New York Times, which, by the way, couldn't even fact-check its own 1619 project, because Nicole Hannah-Jones is the editor.
00:31:03.000 But, um, has it been 36 years since a man and a woman ran together on a Democratic Party ticket?
00:31:09.000 Has it?
00:31:10.000 Or has it been, like, five minutes since Hillary Clinton ran with Tim Kaine?
00:31:14.000 They had to issue a correction.
00:31:15.000 An earlier version of this column incorrectly said it had been 36 years since a man and a woman ran together on a Democratic Party ticket.
00:31:21.000 It has been that long since a man chose a woman to run as his VP.
00:31:25.000 Your last presidential candidate was a woman, and Tim Kaine was... Yeah, well done, New York Times.
00:31:30.000 You guys, really on the ball here.
00:31:32.000 Really, really on the ball.
00:31:33.000 Okay, in a second, we're gonna get to all the chaos that is breaking out in America's major cities.
00:31:37.000 Chicago basically turned into Batman Begins yesterday.
00:31:39.000 It was incredible.
00:31:40.000 Like, last night, Chicago raised the bridges.
00:31:43.000 I'm not kidding.
00:31:44.000 It was escape from New York.
00:31:46.000 They tried to actually cut off The circle loop.
00:31:50.000 They tried to cut off the center of downtown Chicago because so many people were rushing in with, I kid you not, U-Hauls in order to rob major stores in Chicago's downtown.
00:31:59.000 We'll get to that in just... Don't worry.
00:32:01.000 It's because of Trump.
00:32:01.000 It's because of Trump.
00:32:02.000 You know, honestly, we should have seen it coming when Jussie Smollett gave us that report on those evil, white, red-hatted men who are trying to lynch black people in downtown Chicago.
00:32:15.000 We should have known that Trump was going to ruin Chicago.
00:32:17.000 We should have known that this was next.

00:33:34.000 Okay, in just a second, we're gonna get to the chaos in Chicago.
00:33:37.000 Also chaos in Portland.
00:33:39.000 Which is also Trump's fault.
00:33:40.000 It's amazing how Trump runs none of these cities, but it's all his fault.
00:33:42.000 We'll get to that in just one second.

00:34:53.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:34:56.000 Alrighty, so over in Chicago, things have gotten great.
00:35:05.000 You know, President Trump is a great leader.
00:35:07.000 It's all President Trump's fault.
00:35:08.000 Chicago, Portland, Seattle, LA, all these major Republican cities just falling absolutely apart.
00:35:13.000 Just falling apart.
00:35:15.000 Over the weekend, Attorney General William Barr, who's a very, very bad man.
00:35:18.000 He's a very bad man because he's the Attorney General and because he's in the Trump administration.
00:35:22.000 He pointed out correctly that anyone with a brain can see that there is violence in the streets.
00:35:27.000 But apparently nobody in the media have a brain.
00:35:28.000 They've been telling us mostly peaceful things are happening.
00:35:31.000 The peacefulness is actually intensifying.
00:35:32.000 Here's William Barr over the weekend.
00:35:34.000 I've been appalled at what's on this violence because it's happening right out in the streets.
00:35:39.000 Anyone with eyes can see what's happening.
00:35:41.000 They see the violence.
00:35:42.000 They see these groups of agitators in their black outfits and their helmets and their shields.
00:35:52.000 Alrighty, so he is right, of course.
00:35:54.000 Chicago burned over the weekend.
00:35:57.000 So here's what happened in Chicago over the weekend, which I've been told that it is a great city that is totally under control.
00:36:02.000 Everything is going great there.
00:36:03.000 Mayor Lori Lightfoot right on top of everything.
00:36:05.000 She is just the best.
00:36:07.000 She's great at her job.
00:36:08.000 So what happened?
00:36:09.000 Well, in Englewood, Over the weekend, on Sunday, about 2.30pm, the police responded to a call about a person with a gun.
00:36:17.000 And they tried to confront someone matching his description in an alley.
00:36:20.000 He then ran away from the police officers and then shot at the officers with a gun.
00:36:23.000 Officers then returned fire and they wounded him and a gun was recovered.
00:36:26.000 He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
00:36:27.000 Three officers were also taken to a hospital for observation.
00:36:31.000 More than an hour after the shooting, as according to ABC News, police and witnesses said a crowd faced off with police after someone reportedly told people police had shot and wounded a child.
00:36:40.000 OK, so people just started lying about what happened because this is what we do now.
00:36:43.000 And by the way, Democrats facilitate this sort of behavior on a broader level.
00:36:46.000 Joe Biden over the weekend, for example, he tweeted out the Michael Brown lie again.
00:36:51.000 This has become like a this has become a normal Democratic thing to say.
00:36:54.000 I remember Elizabeth Warren did this during the campaign.
00:36:56.000 Joe Biden tweeted out over the weekend.
00:36:58.000 It's been six years since Michael Brown's life was taken in Ferguson, reigniting a movement.
00:37:02.000 We must continue the work of tackling systemic racism and reforming police.
00:37:05.000 That was a legally good shoot.
00:37:07.000 OK, that was a that was a shoot that the Obama DOJ found was justified.
00:37:11.000 There was another investigation that just ended last week after a D.A.
00:37:14.000 was elected there to basically prosecute the officer.
00:37:17.000 The D.A.
00:37:18.000 killed the case because there was no evidence that the officer did anything wrong.
00:37:20.000 There is Joe Biden just lying about the case.
00:37:22.000 So this happened in Chicago.
00:37:23.000 Also, people started lying about the police shooting a person who shot at the police.
00:37:28.000 And this escalated into basically giant riots in downtown Chicago.
00:37:34.000 There were literally reports that people were driving U-Hauls up to stores in Chicago.
00:37:39.000 Not kidding.
00:37:40.000 Okay?
00:37:41.000 And this is according to the Chicago Tribune.
00:37:44.000 They found that people were driving U-Hauls up to large stores and just stealing stuff.
00:37:50.000 So according to ABC News, quote, more than 100 people were arrested Monday following a night of looting and unrest that left 13 officers injured and caused damage in the city's upscale Magnificent Mile shopping district and other parts of the city.
00:38:00.000 According to authorities, you can see that they're outside a Tesla building trying to shatter, they shattered the windows of this Tesla building, right, to try and steal cars, presumably.
00:38:08.000 Good stuff here.
00:38:10.000 So, just to point out, Magnificent Mile is like the center of the downtown shopping district.
00:38:13.000 It is the nicest part of Chicago.
00:38:15.000 It's the most beautiful part of downtown Chicago.
00:38:18.000 Police Superintendent David Brown said it was not an organized protest.
00:38:20.000 Instead, an incident of pure criminality that began following the shooting of a person by police the previous day in the city's Englewood neighborhood.
00:38:27.000 At one point early Monday, shots were fired at the cops and officers returned fire.
00:38:32.000 Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said this was straight up felony criminal conduct.
00:38:35.000 This was an assault on our city.
00:38:36.000 Probably should defund the police.
00:38:38.000 Probably it's the police's fault.
00:38:40.000 No officers were injured in the shooting.
00:38:41.000 Many of the businesses ransacked had recently opened after the last round of ransacking.
00:38:47.000 After the George Floyd protests.
00:38:49.000 The unrest began shortly after midnight.
00:38:50.000 Anti-police graffiti was seen in Magnificent Mile.
00:38:53.000 Hours earlier, dozens of people had faced off with cops after officers shot and wounded that guy.
00:38:58.000 By the way, it takes all the way until the end of the article for them to mention that the person they wounded had actually been shooting at the cops.
00:39:04.000 There was video that emerged last night of the city of Chicago closing the bridges.
00:39:09.000 Okay, this is just Batman Begins at this point.
00:39:12.000 Apparently Ra's al Ghul took over the Chicago Loop last night.
00:39:16.000 They raised the bridges in the middle of the evening to stop people from rushing over to the Magnificent Mile and continuing to do damage.
00:39:24.000 Along Magnificent Mile, people were seen going in and out of stores carrying shopping bags full of merch, as well as at the bank, the Chicago Tribune reported.
00:39:32.000 As the crowd grew, vehicles dropped off more people in the area.
00:39:34.000 So basically it was running, guys, they needed bread.
00:39:37.000 As AOC says, these are people who need bread.
00:39:40.000 What we are watching right now, this is all about racial justice.
00:39:43.000 These are people who are stealing stuff from the bank, because obviously, racial injustice, systemic evil.
00:39:52.000 Stores miles from downtown were also ransacked.
00:39:54.000 Parking lots were littered with glass and items from inside the stores.
00:39:57.000 Clothes hangers and boxes that once contained TV sets and electronics were seen, stealing TVs for racial justice.
00:40:03.000 Representative, Reverend Michael Flager, who is a wild leftist, right?
00:40:07.000 He was an advisor to Barack Obama.
00:40:08.000 He is a social justice warrior, par excellence, said, this was obviously very orchestrated.
00:40:13.000 One officer was seen slumped against a building.
00:40:15.000 Several arrests were made.
00:40:16.000 A rock was thrown at a police vehicle.
00:40:18.000 Again, according to the Chicago Tribune, According to the Chicago Tribune, people literally were driving U-Hauls up to stores to steal things.
00:40:30.000 Solid, solid stuff.
00:40:31.000 So it was a semi-coordinated event that spread via text and word of mouth.
00:40:37.000 Well done.
00:40:39.000 Well done.
00:40:40.000 But don't worry, guys, it's probably President Trump.
00:40:43.000 Remember that time when Chicago's mayors used to be You know, kind of corrupt, but also they kept the trains running on time.
00:40:49.000 I'm speaking here of Richard Daley.
00:40:50.000 Those Democrats are gone.
00:40:51.000 Those days are gone.
00:40:52.000 Now the mayors of major cities just let the cities burn.
00:40:54.000 At least the corrupt Chicago mayors of old, at least those corrupt Chicago mayors used to make sure that the citizens were at least somewhat safe.
00:41:01.000 Not anymore, apparently.
00:41:03.000 This is absolutely nuts.
00:41:05.000 Meanwhile, riots continued over the weekend in Portland, which I have been told is increasingly peaceful.
00:41:09.000 Remember, it was the feds.
00:41:10.000 The feds were causing the problem.
00:41:11.000 Then the feds started to leave.
00:41:13.000 Quote, a fire inside a police union building led authorities in Portland, Oregon to declare a riot and force protesters away from the offices as violent demonstrations continue in the city that had hoped for calm after federal agents withdrew more than a week ago.
00:41:25.000 Well, utterly unpredictable.
00:41:27.000 It turns out the criminality that preceded the feds also postdated the feds.
00:41:32.000 It turns out that before the feds got there, there was violence.
00:41:34.000 After the feds got there, there was violence.
00:41:36.000 So probably it was the feds.
00:41:38.000 According to USA Today, a group of demonstrators broke into the Portland Police Association building, set fire, and were adding to it when officers made a riot declaration late Saturday.
00:41:47.000 Video shot by a journalist shows smoke and flames rising from inside the building.
00:41:51.000 Several hundred people had gathered outside the offices, which are located about five miles north of the federal courthouse that had been the target of nightly violence earlier this summer.
00:41:58.000 The Portland Police Association is a labor union that represents members of the Portland Police Bureau.
00:42:03.000 Live video had shown multiple dumpster fires had been set near the building, because that's our country now, less than half an hour after police tweeted that criminal activities, including but not limited to vandalism, unlawful entry to the building, or fire starting, could be subject to arrest, use of tear gas, and or crowd control munitions.
00:42:20.000 The riot was declared about 11.30 p.m., but everything is going great, guys.
00:42:23.000 Everything is just going great.
00:42:25.000 In fact, things are going so great that the main challenger to Mayor Ted Wheeler, who of course is the pathetic mayor who went down to the middle of the protest like a couple of weeks ago and got yelled at by the people he was allowing to riot, his main challenger is a communist, basically.
00:42:43.000 I kind of love this.
00:42:45.000 A Portland mayoral candidate named Sarah Ianarone Who's on KGW's Straight Talk.
00:42:50.000 She's a Portland mayoral candidate.
00:42:52.000 She says she's more progressive than Ted Wheeler.
00:42:55.000 And when asked to condemn violence against police, she said no.
00:42:59.000 So here she was.
00:43:00.000 Ted Wheeler's competition in Portland is coming from the left.
00:43:03.000 It's coming from people who are like, you know what?
00:43:04.000 Things aren't crappy enough in Portland.
00:43:06.000 What if we just went like full commie and allowed the rioters to just run the city completely?
00:43:09.000 Here is the direct opposition to Ted Wheeler.
00:43:14.000 Again, a challenger named Sarah Ayanarone.
00:43:19.000 We need to understand these protests are an important part of a healthy democracy, just as much as me.
00:43:25.000 But what about the criminal activity we're seeing?
00:43:27.000 Do you denounce that part of it?
00:43:30.000 I understand why they're angry.
00:43:33.000 But lighting fires with people inside the building, would you denounce that part of it?
00:43:38.000 With lighting fires, arson, with people inside buildings?
00:43:42.000 I'm not the person setting the fires.
00:43:44.000 I'm not the person doing the briefing.
00:43:46.000 But will you denounce it?
00:43:47.000 I'm not here to tell them how to do it.
00:43:49.000 I don't smash windows.
00:43:54.000 I clean up when things are unfairly targeted, but here's what I have to say.
00:43:58.000 Their outrage at the police is valid, and the problem of police brutality and executing black lives in the streets is more important than any vandalism.
00:44:09.000 Things are going great over in Portland.
00:44:10.000 By the way, they're going great in L.A.
00:44:12.000 also.
00:44:13.000 According to the Washington Examiner, public records indicate that an L.A.
00:44:15.000 City Councilman who voted to slash the police department budget by $150 million, called for police assistance eight times since April, including calls for protection from protesters at his home.
00:44:26.000 A public records request reveals that LA City Councilman Mike Bonin, who voted to defund LAPD by $150 million, has called LAPD to his home eight times since April 4th, including to provide extra patrols and protection from peaceful protesters at his home, according to Bill Malugan, a reporter for Fox 11 in Los Angeles.
00:44:44.000 He joined 10 other city council members in an 11-3 vote to cut the police budget in June.
00:44:49.000 Bonin says that he has not called the police.
00:44:51.000 He just said that a lot of staffers called the police.
00:44:54.000 So that's, he said seven of the eight calls were apparently generated by the LAPD themselves.
00:44:59.000 He says, I specifically asked for no patrols at my home.
00:45:02.000 Then the reporter from Fox LA revealed that there was definitely a call for service by Bonin or a member of his staff from within the LAPD.
00:45:11.000 So it turns out there are natural consequences to allowing your cities to be made a mockery by rioters and looters just to own Trump.
00:45:20.000 You know, by the way, chickens coming home to roost over in Washington, D.C.
00:45:23.000 as well.
00:45:23.000 Black Lives Matter protesters didn't just stay in the commercial areas.
00:45:26.000 They decided to march over to residential areas in Georgetown to wake people up.
00:45:30.000 And all I can say is, if you voted for this, then, you know, welcome to the party, pal.
00:45:34.000 So this is wonderful.
00:45:35.000 They're literally just marching through residential areas, waking people.
00:45:39.000 These people are committing the great sin of sleeping in the middle of the night.
00:45:41.000 So well done, everyone.
00:45:43.000 Just really, really strong stuff all the way through.
00:45:48.000 Now, you would think that maybe this might give President Trump something to run on.
00:45:51.000 And maybe indeed it will.
00:45:52.000 At some point, Joe Biden's gonna have to actually answer some questions about how he plans to get this sort of insanity under control, or whether he's just gonna poo-poo it the way that every other major Democrat seems to be poo-pooing it.
00:46:03.000 By the way, in stories about making the country better, apparently, the store Target, so one of the things that's most wonderful about our situation right now, is corporate America has decided to simply woke-signal, and they're gonna woke-signal for the cash.
00:46:16.000 What they figure is that motivated woke people will shop at their stores if they do woke virtue signaling, and that everybody else will shop at the stores because they don't want to be bothered.
00:46:23.000 So Target has now added a badge to help shoppers identify black-owned brands.
00:46:29.000 Great.
00:46:30.000 There's no way this could possibly go wrong.
00:46:32.000 There's no way it could possibly go wrong to label brands by the race of the people who own the brand.
00:46:37.000 That's it.
00:46:38.000 I'm sure it'll go great.
00:46:39.000 I'm sure it'll go great.
00:46:40.000 Maybe we should have people wear badges, you know, or something like that based on their race or their ethnicity or their religion.
00:46:44.000 Maybe that'll go great.
00:46:45.000 Let's just label everyone that way.
00:46:47.000 And then we can tell which sort of products we should and should not buy based on the race of the people who own the products.
00:46:52.000 Awesome.
00:46:53.000 According to Food Network, Target said in a company statement, quote, We have carried a number of Black-owned brands for years and continue to listen to guests to ensure we offer a compelling, relevant assortment that supports our guests' needs.
00:47:03.000 Based on what our guests are searching for, we have started to implement icons online to help our guests find and support Black-owned brands and founders when they shop online.
00:47:11.000 Yeah, this is, no way this could possibly backfire in any possible iteration.
00:47:16.000 And meanwhile, you know what?
00:47:19.000 Let's talk about a little bit of good news.
00:47:20.000 I know it's a lot of bad news in one episode.
00:47:22.000 Let's talk about a slight amount of good news at the very least.
00:47:25.000 So it turns out that Goldman Sachs is actually pretty positive about the economy for next year.
00:47:29.000 They're saying that vaccines seem to be developing apace.
00:47:32.000 They put out a notice over the weekend.
00:47:34.000 They say that they expect at least one vaccine will be approved by the end of 2020 and will be widely available by the end of 2021 quarter two.
00:47:41.000 And they're now leaving their forecast of quarterly annualized GDP growth unchanged in 2020.
00:47:45.000 They're hoping there will be a 25% GDP growth in Q3 and an 8% GDP growth in Q4.
00:47:48.000 Q3 and an 8% GDP growth in Q4.
00:47:51.000 They're now expecting 10% in 2021 Q1 and 8% in 2021 Q2.
00:47:58.000 So they're looking at a 0.62% GDP growth on an annualized basis in 2021.
00:48:05.000 They think the unemployment rate is going to decline to 9% by the end of 2020, and they're hoping for 6.5% by the end of 2021.
00:48:10.000 So that's good news.
00:48:14.000 I mean, that's at least some piece of good news.
00:48:16.000 By the way, also worth noting, It appears that Democrats are beginning to come around to the idea that keeping schools interminably closed is a bad idea.
00:48:22.000 Chuck Schumer has finally caved.
00:48:23.000 He said over the weekend that it's time to open schools.
00:48:26.000 We can't keep schools closed.
00:48:26.000 Which is weird, because five seconds ago, Democrats were declaring that if you want schools open, you want to kill both your children and grandma.
00:48:35.000 Executive orders to leave out schools altogether.
00:48:38.000 State and local services.
00:48:41.000 They came a tiny little bit in our direction on that, but very little.
00:48:44.000 Not in the middle.
00:48:45.000 We're close to it.
00:48:48.000 You can't do that by executive order.
00:48:49.000 It's spending.
00:48:51.000 And you'll have firefighters.
00:48:52.000 This is not abstract.
00:48:53.000 This is not government.
00:48:56.000 It is firefighters, sanitation workers, bus drivers, health care workers who need to get paid.
00:49:02.000 Okay, so it is funny to watch the Democrats flip on a dime.
00:49:05.000 Again, if President Trump is competent, then he can make a lot of hay here.
00:49:08.000 We got cities in flames.
00:49:09.000 We got Democrats who are trying to prevent aid from going out for the unemployed.
00:49:14.000 We have Democrats who are, right now, flipping on whether to open schools and recognizing they can't keep things interminably closed.
00:49:20.000 So that's a lot of room for the president to run, and this election ain't close to over at this point.
00:49:25.000 It is only the beginning of August.
00:49:27.000 Okay, now we're gonna do something we haven't done in a while.
00:49:30.000 So over the last week or so, there's been a lot of attention paid to a music video.
00:49:34.000 It's called WAP.
00:49:36.000 Okay, which we're gonna get into in just one second.
00:49:39.000 And it seems to me that there's a segment that we have been remiss in ignoring for a long time now on the show.
00:49:44.000 We used to do it much more regularly.
00:49:45.000 It was called Deconstructing the Culture.
00:49:47.000 So, it is time once again to deconstruct the culture where we take an important piece of popular culture and we break it down for its important aspect in American life.
00:49:59.000 So, let's deconstruct a little bit of culture.
00:50:02.000 So there's this video that went out.
00:50:04.000 It is by a person named Cardi B, who has a rather checkered past.
00:50:08.000 I mean, she's talked on video about how she used to drug men and steal their money after bringing them back as, what, a quasi-prostitute?
00:50:15.000 Something like that.
00:50:16.000 And then she became a rapper.
00:50:17.000 So American success story.
00:50:19.000 And there's another rapper whose name is Megan Thee Stallion.
00:50:22.000 I assume this is her given name.
00:50:23.000 Their last name is Stallion and her parents named her Megan Thee.
00:50:26.000 And I don't know why her middle name is Thee as opposed to The.
00:50:30.000 Um, but apparently you are the stallion.
00:50:32.000 Not just, not just the, the, the are the stallion.
00:50:34.000 In any case, there's this new video, and just as a preface to this video, let me note some of the headlines about this video from mainstream outlets.
00:50:44.000 The headline from Complex was, why Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's empowering anthem, WAP, is so important.
00:50:51.000 It's very important, guys.
00:50:53.000 It's a very, very empowering, important anthem.
00:50:56.000 Grammy!
00:50:58.000 Grammy.com, they put out a, like people who do the Grammy Awards, they put out a headline.
00:51:01.000 Wow.
00:51:01.000 I mean, it must be important.
00:51:02.000 Metro UK put out a headline.
00:51:03.000 deliver a juicy collaboration with WAP.
00:51:06.000 Wow.
00:51:07.000 I mean, it must be important.
00:51:08.000 Metro UK put out a headline that backlash to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's WAP proves society still hates sexually powerful women.
00:51:17.000 Hmm.
00:51:19.000 Apparently, according to Billboard, Christina Aguilera is feeling some type of way about Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's WAP.
00:51:25.000 This is a deeply important piece of art, guys.
00:51:27.000 And then, Black Entertainment TV, BET, they put out a headline, Cardi B perfectly claps back at misogynistic criticism of WAP.
00:51:34.000 Because all criticism of WAP is misogynistic.
00:51:37.000 Like, deeply misogynistic and sexist, as it turns out.
00:51:40.000 And this video, this music video, had 56 million views.
00:51:44.000 Within 48 hours of release because it got all sorts of press and it was deeply important.
00:51:49.000 This is a deeply important piece of American art that we should all pay attention to.
00:51:54.000 It is deeply empowering.
00:51:56.000 So we're going to play a little bit of the video and then I'm going to read you some of the lyrics to WAP, which stands for a thing.
00:52:02.000 I can't say most of the words in the song.
00:52:05.000 I mean, I can pronounce them, but if I if I say them aloud, then we will be banned by the FCC.
00:52:09.000 So here is a little bit of this video.
00:52:13.000 So, as you can see, there's water pouring out from the front of the... of a mansion.
00:52:18.000 Okay, here are these two ladies, and then there is just a giant golden butt.
00:52:24.000 Okay, and then there's golden boobs that apparently are spouting water.
00:52:30.000 Um... It's, um... Yeah, so this is all great.
00:52:35.000 And then there's some tigers, and... This is apparently the tackiest mansion that has ever been.
00:52:40.000 And, um...
00:52:42.000 Then there's them lying there with a bunch of snakes.
00:52:45.000 You know, kind of typical music video kind of stuff.
00:52:48.000 But it's very empowering.
00:52:49.000 This is deeply, deeply empowering stuff.
00:52:51.000 So, if you can't hear the lyrics, because it's... because, um... I don't know why you would hear the lyrics, frankly.
00:52:58.000 Here are some of the lyrics.
00:52:59.000 This is empowering stuff, guys.
00:53:01.000 This is like Susan B. Anthony.
00:53:02.000 This is like women fighting for the right to vote.
00:53:04.000 This right here is women fighting for the right to work.
00:53:07.000 Right here what we are watching is women fighting for the equal right to talk about their wet ass p-word.
00:53:12.000 That's what WAP stands for.
00:53:13.000 So here are the actual lyrics.
00:53:15.000 Okay, and this is not demeaning to women in any way.
00:53:18.000 It's not demeaning to women in any way.
00:53:20.000 It doesn't turn women into sex objects.
00:53:22.000 It doesn't make men think of women in a purely sexual fashion.
00:53:26.000 It is women empowering themselves.
00:53:28.000 It is super empowerment.
00:53:30.000 Here are some of the lyrics.
00:53:31.000 You ready?
00:53:32.000 Whores in this house.
00:53:33.000 There's some whores in this house.
00:53:37.000 Hold up.
00:53:39.000 I said certified freak seven days a week.
00:53:41.000 Wet ass p-word.
00:53:43.000 Make that pull-out game weak.
00:53:45.000 Yeah, you effin' with some wet ass p-word.
00:53:48.000 P-word is female genitalia.
00:53:49.000 Bring a bucket and a mop for this wet ass p-word.
00:53:53.000 Give me everything you got for this wet ass p-word.
00:53:56.000 Beat it up, N-Word.
00:53:57.000 Catch a charge.
00:53:59.000 Extra large and extra hard.
00:54:00.000 Put this P-Word right in your face.
00:54:02.000 Swipe your nose like a credit card.
00:54:04.000 Hop on top.
00:54:04.000 I want a ride.
00:54:05.000 I do a kegel while it's inside.
00:54:07.000 Spit in my mouth.
00:54:07.000 Look in my eyes.
00:54:08.000 This P-Word is wet.
00:54:09.000 Come take a dive.
00:54:11.000 It continues along these lines.
00:54:14.000 And it gets significantly more vulgar.
00:54:19.000 A lot more vulgar.
00:54:21.000 Talk your S-word, bite your lip, ask for a call while you ride that D-word.
00:54:25.000 You really ain't never gonna F him for a thing.
00:54:27.000 He already made his mind up before he came.
00:54:30.000 Now get your boots and your coat for this wet-ass P-word.
00:54:34.000 Guys, this is what feminists fought for.
00:54:41.000 This is what the feminist movement was all about.
00:54:44.000 It's not really about women being treated as independent, full, rounded human beings.
00:54:52.000 It's about wet-ass p-word.
00:54:53.000 And if you say anything differently, it's because you're a misogynist, you see.
00:54:58.000 It gets really, really, really, really vulgar.
00:55:01.000 But I will admit that when I first saw the lyrics to this song, my first concern, as a sympathetic and empathetic human being, my first concern is that these women are describing a serious gynecological condition.
00:55:16.000 And, like, I'm serious.
00:55:18.000 These women are suffering from some sort of serious, I mean, a bucket and a mop?
00:55:23.000 This sounds like there's something that is going on here that is not biologically normal.
00:55:28.000 And by the way, this song is so unsexy that it frankly sounds like somebody describing what amounts to a serious condition that requires the care of a doctor.
00:55:38.000 So, fortunately I know a doctor, who is my wife.
00:55:42.000 And so I asked her for her medical diagnosis.
00:55:45.000 And she looked at the lyrics herself.
00:55:47.000 And after being kind of appalled by them, obviously, she had a few sort of indicators here on how she could diagnose the vaginal condition that apparently these women are suffering from.
00:55:56.000 So there are a few sort of giveaways.
00:55:58.000 There are a few sort of giveaways here.
00:55:59.000 So first of all, a bucket and a mop for this wet-ass p-word.
00:56:02.000 So first of all, she had to clarify whether wet-ass p-word was a description of the p-word or whether one of the clinical symptoms here was also diarrhea.
00:56:10.000 But Bring a bucket and a mop.
00:56:12.000 So this suggests that there's an awful lot of, not to be too graphic, but some sort of medical discharge that's happening here.
00:56:19.000 Like a lot too much.
00:56:20.000 Right?
00:56:20.000 A lot too much.
00:56:21.000 Because that's a symptom of something that is not going great.
00:56:25.000 Apparently there are signs of prolapse.
00:56:28.000 And I say that because, hop on top, I want a ride, I do a kegel while it's inside.
00:56:31.000 So there's some signs of some actual clinical prolapse, which is a problem.
00:56:36.000 Also, there's some talk about where this person is putting their nose, and there's some talk about smelling.
00:56:47.000 There's a line here about gagging and choking, which suggests that perhaps there's an odor issue here.
00:56:54.000 Also, at some point in here, there's a reference to diabetes about a person who engages in a particular activity and ends up diabetic, which suggests a serious pH imbalance.
00:57:04.000 So, I asked my wife for a differential diagnosis for the sake of these ladies in case they need to go to the doctor.
00:57:09.000 I mean, like, this is a problem.
00:57:10.000 I mean, like, there's water pouring out the front doors of this place, and that ain't water, guys.
00:57:16.000 I mean, that's what I'm being told.
00:57:17.000 That ain't water.
00:57:18.000 So, here was her differential.
00:57:20.000 Her differential diagnosis, my wife the doctor, was either these women are suffering from bacterial vaginosis, or a yeast infection, or, my wife suggested, most probably, they are suffering from trichomonas.
00:57:35.000 So, just a bit of medical advice.
00:57:38.000 Put aside the empowerment.
00:57:39.000 I mean, I understand how empowering it is for women to sing about the moisture state of their genitals.
00:57:46.000 And I understand that anybody who criticizes this as reductive of female sexuality and or of putting out images of females as over sexualized in a way that is negative, that puts negative images in men and drives negative images toward women for men, treating them as sex objects.
00:58:03.000 I understand that that stuff is out of bounds, right?
00:58:05.000 I mean, if we mention any of that stuff, it's because we're misogynists.
00:58:08.000 I'm a sexist for saying that women are more than just, you know, they're wet ass p words.
00:58:13.000 As a sympathetic human being, I just want to make sure these ladies get the care they need.
00:58:17.000 My wife's medical advice is that they go to a gynecologist ASAP and that they do whatever checks are necessary for bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, or trichomonas.
00:58:28.000 So, with that in mind, we'll be here later today with two additional hours of content.
00:58:33.000 And by the way, this video is available to everybody, including people who are under the age of 18, is what I have been informed by those who use YouTube.
00:58:40.000 So, good news there.
00:58:41.000 Our culture is in good hands.
00:58:43.000 Everything is good, guys.
00:58:44.000 Everything is good.
00:58:45.000 We'll be here later today with two additional hours of content.
00:58:47.000 We'll see you then.
00:58:48.000 Otherwise, we'll see you here tomorrow.
