Summary

The anti-Semitic terror attack in Jersey City and the lack of coverage of it by the media is a perfect example of why anti-Semitism in the United States needs to be the focus of all our attention, not just when it happens to be a white supremacist attack, and why the media will only cover it if the shooters happen to be white supremacists. If the shooters are white supremacists, then we will have a national conversation about President Trump, and about ideology, and we'll have a conversation about the tenor of our politics. But if they are Jewish terrorists, then the media won't cover it. Ben Shapiro explains why this is a problem, and how the media should have been much more interested in covering it, not less interested. This show is sponsored by ExpressVPN. 00:00:00.000 President Trump fights back against the Democrats' impeachment.
00:00:02.000 William Barr goes after the Obama FBI.
00:00:04.000 And Merriam-Webster redefines the word they.
00:00:07.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:08.000 This is The Ben Shapiro Show.

00:00:21.000 OK, so we're going to get to all the impeachment related news of the day, but there are a couple of stories that we need to comment on right at the top here, because the media malfeasance here is utterly stunning, utterly stunning.
00:00:32.000 And the malfeasance of many on the left is utterly stunning.
00:00:35.000 The stories that I'm talking about, they're dual stories and they're sort of connected by the coverage of anti-Semitism in the United States.
00:00:43.000 Story number one is that there was an anti-Semitic terror attack in Jersey City yesterday.
00:00:47.000 It was pretty clear from the very beginning that when somebody drives to a kosher supermarket in Jersey City, like the only kosher supermarket in the area, and then proceeds to have a shootout with police, probably they were targeting the kosher supermarket.
00:00:59.000 Because that's a really random location, right?
00:01:01.000 Why aren't they just walking into the local supermarket?
00:01:03.000 There are tons of supermarkets in Jersey City.
00:01:05.000 You want to have a shootout with the cops?
00:01:07.000 Presumably, you could go anywhere.
00:01:09.000 As a Jew, your first suspicion, if somebody holes up in a synagogue and starts shooting at the cops, or if somebody holes up in a Jewish supermarket, in a kosher supermarket, is that it's a terror attack.
00:01:18.000 And we saw the exact same thing happen in France a few years back, after the Charlie Hebdo massacre, I believe it was, when the suspect ended up driving over to a kosher supermarket and holing up there, and then Barack Obama idiotically suggested that these shooters had randomly holed up in a kosher supermarket.
00:01:35.000 Okay, it's very, very unlikely.
00:01:37.000 On the list of circumstances, it is very unlikely that in a vast shootout with police, you just randomly end up with the only kosher supermarket in Jersey City.
00:01:44.000 So as it turns out, it was not random.
00:01:46.000 It turns out that the shooters in this particular case hold up at a kosher supermarket and proceeded to shoot at the cops.
00:01:51.000 Six people are dead, including the two shooters.
00:01:54.000 There is apparently a police officer, a 15-year veteran of the force with five children, According to NBC News, we are now finding out who these suspects are.
00:02:01.000 There was no coverage of it for nearly 24 hours.
00:02:04.000 were Jews and died in the store.
00:02:06.000 According to NBC News, we are now finding out who these suspects are.
00:02:11.000 There was no coverage of it for nearly 24 hours.
00:02:13.000 Well, everybody sort of tried to figure out who the suspects were.
00:02:16.000 And it turns out that one of the two suspects had a social media page containing anti-Jewish writings.
00:02:22.000 Shocker, shocker.
00:02:22.000 Officials and sources said on Wednesday.
00:02:25.000 Four law enforcement sources familiar with the case told NBC New York the suspect were apparently a man and a woman.
00:02:31.000 I'm not going to mention their name.
00:02:32.000 I don't mention the names of shooters or mass killers on my program.
00:02:36.000 But the suspect were apparently one-time followers of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement.
00:02:42.000 And the male suspect, there's a male suspect and a female suspect, Apparently they were black, which is only relevant insofar as the media will only cover this stuff or have national conversations on anti-Semitism if the shooters happen to be white supremacists.
00:02:54.000 If the shooters happen to be white supremacists, or can in any way be blamed on President Trump, then we'll have a national conversation about President Trump and about ideology, and we'll have a conversation about the tenor of our politics.
00:03:05.000 If, however, there's a radical spike in anti-Semitism in, say, New York City, which there has been in the past several years.
00:03:09.000 Jews in Williamsburg being beaten on the streets in huge numbers.
00:03:13.000 If that happens, then the media don't cover it.
00:03:15.000 That's not me saying that.
00:03:16.000 The New York Times said that in October of last year.
00:03:17.000 They said, why haven't we been covering all of the anti-Semitic attacks in Williamsburg, in Brooklyn, New York?
00:03:23.000 Well, the reason is because none of them are coming from white supremacists.
00:03:25.000 We can't spot a pattern anywhere.
00:03:27.000 Well, maybe the pattern is the anti-Semitism.
00:03:29.000 Maybe the pattern doesn't have to be your preferred mode of antisemitism that you can blame on somebody else.
00:03:34.000 There's a very easy way to tell whether people care about Jew hatred.
00:03:37.000 Do they care about it when the person who is committing the Jew hatred happens to be more politically aligned with them than the opposite?
00:03:45.000 Okay, do you care about anti-semitic attacks if it happens to be a white supremacist, or do you only care about anti-semitic attacks if it happens to be a person on the left, or vice versa?
00:03:53.000 If the answer is only one or the other, it means you don't care about anti-semitism.
00:03:58.000 It means that you only care about the political hay that can be made from talking about anti-semitism.
00:04:02.000 So it turns out...
00:04:04.000 That the male, in this case, was a one-time follower of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement.
00:04:08.000 For people who don't know the Black Hebrew Israelite movement, it's a nonsensical mishmash of horrible stereotypical racism and also a bunch of nonsense garnered from bad readings of the Bible.
00:04:21.000 These are not Jews.
00:04:22.000 They proclaim in their ideology that they are a lost tribe, I believe.
00:04:26.000 The lost tribe of the Jews.
00:04:27.000 But the actual Jews today are not actual Jews.
00:04:29.000 They are fake Jews.
00:04:30.000 And surprisingly, it turns out that they don't like Jews, right?
00:04:33.000 They don't like Jews very much.
00:04:34.000 Shocker, shocker.
00:04:35.000 Inside the van used by the shooters was a note with religious writings according to the three sources.
00:04:40.000 Jersey City Mayor Stephen Fulop said in a news conference on Wednesday morning, security footage from the Tuesday incident showed the shooters traveling slowly through the streets in a U-Haul van, stopping outside the store armed with long guns and immediately opening fire.
00:04:51.000 So obviously they were targeting the location.
00:04:53.000 Public safety director James Shea said, there were multiple other people on the street.
00:04:56.000 There were many other targets available to them that they bypassed to attack that place.
00:05:00.000 Shocker.
00:05:01.000 So it was clearly that was their target.
00:05:03.000 They intended to harm people inside there.
00:05:06.000 Shea emphasized the shooter's motive is not yet clear and is under investigation.
00:05:09.000 Yes, I am sure that they just really, really, really did not like the matzo ball soup that they had obtained from the kosher store three weeks earlier.
00:05:16.000 It can't have been.
00:05:17.000 That they were targeting the kosher supermarket.
00:05:18.000 Of course they were targeting the kosher supermarket.
00:05:20.000 Of course they were anti-Semites.
00:05:22.000 And of course, the Black Hebrew Israelite movement has had serious problems with anti-Semitism for a very, very long time.
00:05:27.000 It is rare that you're going to hear me cite the Southern Poverty Law Center, because the Southern Poverty Law Center is fond of calling basically everybody who is right of center a white supremacist.
00:05:35.000 But, their coverage of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement is actually true.
00:05:39.000 They point out that the black supremacist wing of the Hebrew-Israelite movement is spreading and its leaders are growing increasingly militant.
00:05:45.000 This is as of August 2008.
00:05:47.000 And they talk about the growth of the black Hebrew-Israelite movement.
00:05:52.000 It's a black nationalist theology dating back to the 19th century.
00:05:56.000 Its doctrine asserts that blacks are God's true chosen people because they, not the people known to the world today as Jews, are the real descendants of the Hebrews of the Bible.
00:06:04.000 It's a bizarre movement.
00:06:05.000 It doesn't have tons of acolytes, but Obviously, some of its fringe acolytes are dangerous.
00:06:11.000 Three civilians were found dead inside the Jersey City store following what became an hours-long standoff and shootout between police and the suspect.
00:06:17.000 The suspects were also found dead.
00:06:18.000 The only victim identified so far is a Jersey City police detective, Joseph Seals, 39.
00:06:24.000 He was killed after police investigating the murder approached the two shooting suspects, and one of them opened fire, hitting the officer in the head.
00:06:32.000 So, here's the reason this is relevant, okay?
00:06:35.000 The reason this is relevant is, number one, whenever there's an anti-Semitic terror attack, it should be relevant.
00:06:39.000 Reason number two is because this will disappear within 24 hours.
00:06:42.000 You will never hear about it again, right?
00:06:43.000 You will still hear about the anti-Semitic attacks at Tree of Life or at the Chabad in Poway.
00:06:47.000 You won't hear about this anti-Semitic attack.
00:06:49.000 And that is not based on the identity of the people who were killed.
00:06:52.000 Or the people who were attacked.
00:06:53.000 It is based solely on the identity of the people who committed the attack.
00:06:56.000 Because we now live in a media world in which unless you can draw a narrative that you like from the particular act of anti-Semitism, you don't cover it.
00:07:06.000 Again, it was pretty obvious as soon as this happened at a kosher supermarket what exactly was going on.
00:07:10.000 It was just a question as to who did it.
00:07:12.000 But that doesn't change the nature of the attack.
00:07:14.000 Wait until you hear what Bill de Blasio, that tool bag of stupid, actually tweeted about this.
00:07:20.000 It's actually incredible.
00:07:22.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.
00:07:23.000 First, let's talk about your business for just a second.
00:07:25.000 If you don't know your numbers, you don't know your business.
00:07:27.000 The fact is, if you want to run a successful business, you have to know your business inside and out.
00:07:32.000 And the best way to do that is to not have a bevy of non-aligned computer systems trying to keep track of your business.
00:07:37.000 Instead, you should be using NetSuite by Oracle, the business management software that handles every aspect of your business in an easy-to-use cloud platform, giving you the visibility and control you need to grow.
00:07:47.000 With NetSuite, you save time, money, and unneeded headaches by managing sales, finance, and accounting, orders, and HR instantly, directly from your desktop or phone.
00:07:55.000 That's why NetSuite is the world's number one cloud business system.
00:07:57.000 It's hard to manage your business if you're using, again, a bevy of different systems that don't align with one another individually.
00:08:02.000 Instead, you have an entire integrated business system with NetSuite.
00:08:06.000 And right now, NetSuite is offering you valuable insights with a free guide, Seven Key Strategies to Grow Your Profits, at netsuite.com slash Shapiro.
00:08:13.000 That is netsuite.com slash Shapiro.

00:08:25.000 And again, make your business better.
00:08:26.000 Netsuite.com slash Shapiro and you get that free guide.
00:08:29.000 Okay, so Bill de Blasio, this ignorant and horrific mayor of New York, here's what he tweeted out.
00:08:37.000 Quote, this tragically confirms that a growing pattern of violent anti-Semitism has now turned into a crisis for our nation.
00:08:43.000 And now this threat has reached the doorstep of New York City.
00:08:46.000 Oh, has it reached the doorstep?
00:08:48.000 Has it?
00:08:49.000 Has it?
00:08:50.000 Because, um, there is like a multiple-time spike in anti-Semitic attacks in New York over the past three years.
00:08:56.000 Everyone knows this.
00:08:57.000 There are FBI statistics to prove it.
00:08:59.000 Anti-semitic attacks in New York have spiked radically under Mayor Bill de Blasio, but apparently he's only noticing now that anti-semitism is a thing.
00:09:08.000 Oh, isn't that nice that Bill de Blasio is finally catching on?
00:09:11.000 How delightful!
00:09:13.000 How delightful!
00:09:14.000 Demonstrating once again that it only, when it comes to anti-semitism, it's only useful to people who don't care about anti-semitism if it can be blamed on people on the other side.
00:09:25.000 Okay, now, I want to juxtapose the coverage of this anti-Semitic terror attack by black Hebrew Israelites in Jersey City with the coverage of an executive order from President Trump yesterday.
00:09:36.000 So, President Trump comes out with an executive order.
00:09:38.000 It's a very simple executive order.
00:09:40.000 I had heard about it a little bit in advance and the executive order is basically designed to extend title six protections on college campus to Jews.
00:09:49.000 So title six protections on college campuses are basically designed to protect against discrimination based on Shared ancestry, ethnic characteristics, race, national origin.
00:10:00.000 So if a school is deemed to not take seriously racism, it could lose its federal funding.
00:10:04.000 So there's a racist incident that takes place on campus, the school doesn't do a full investigation, the school could lose its federal funding.
00:10:10.000 If there is an attack on not just black Native American people, there's an attack on Latino people on college campuses.
00:10:19.000 If there's any of that, and the school doesn't take it seriously, it could lose its Title VI federal funding.
00:10:24.000 Well, going all the way back to the Obama administration, there was a Department of Education policy that stated that discrimination on the basis of, quote, shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics, actual or perceived, if that's not taken seriously by the school, they could lose federal funding.
00:10:37.000 That's an Obama-era policy.
00:10:40.000 Okay, so I'm reading directly from the Department of Education website.
00:10:42.000 These regulations were promulgated as early as 2010 under the Obama administration.
00:10:46.000 Okay, so this is not new.
00:10:48.000 It's just this has now become a full-on federal policy from the top of the executive branch.
00:10:53.000 It's not just a Department of Education guideline.
00:10:55.000 Okay, now it's actual policy.
00:10:56.000 But these guidelines were first drawn up in Senator Harry Reid's office.
00:11:00.000 Okay, they were first drawn up in Senator Harry Reid's office.
00:11:03.000 When they were first looked at by the Obama Department of Education.
00:11:06.000 And here's what they said.
00:11:07.000 Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects students from race, color, and national origin discrimination.
00:11:12.000 This prohibition encompasses discrimination, including harassment, based on a student's actual or perceived shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics, or citizenship or residency in a country with a dominant religion or distinct religious identity.
00:11:24.000 The DOE explicitly said, These laws protect students who are or are perceived to be members of a religious group, such as Buddhist, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, and Sikhs, from discrimination on any of the bases described above.
00:11:37.000 Title VI prohibits discrimination against students of any religion when the discrimination involves racial, ethnic, or ancestral epithets or slurs, how a person or group looks, dresses, or speaks if linked to ethnicity or ancestry, potential or allegedly inherited traits, stereotypes about people who share certain ancestral or ethnic characteristics.
00:11:56.000 So the school violates Title VI when harassing conduct on the basis of these things is sufficiently serious as to limit or deny a student's ability to participate in or benefit from an educational program, for example.
00:12:07.000 So the school doesn't do anything to crack down and students feel discriminated against.
00:12:10.000 It's basically sexual harassment law applied to racial or ethnic harassment on college campuses.
00:12:17.000 Okay, so President Trump then promulgates an executive order.
00:12:21.000 And listen to the way that the New York Times covers this executive order, because it is some of the worst media coverage I've ever heard, and it prompts some of the stupidest claims by people who hate Trump that I have ever heard.
00:12:32.000 I mean, literally ever heard.
00:12:33.000 And then people make stupid claims about Trump all the time.
00:12:35.000 Trump has broken a lot of people's brains.
00:12:37.000 The fact that Trump is president has made a lot of people say dumb things they would never otherwise say.
00:12:43.000 So, according to the New York Times, Trump targets anti-Semitism and Israeli boycotts on college campuses.
00:12:48.000 The president's order would allow the government to withhold money from campuses deemed to be biased, but critics see it as an attack on free speech.
00:12:54.000 Okay, first of all...
00:12:55.000 You can make a libertarian case that Title VI of the Civil Rights Act violates First Amendment prescriptions.
00:13:00.000 That really, if people on college campuses decide to say racist or sexist or anti-Jewish things, anti-Semitic things, that that should be allowed because the First Amendment is not allowed.
00:13:11.000 Congress shall make no law abridging freedom of speech, right?
00:13:13.000 That's a libertarian case.
00:13:14.000 That's a case I hear.
00:13:15.000 But if Title VI exists, it should apply to Jews the same way that it applies to black people or Latino people or Native Americans or Sikhs or Hindus, obviously.
00:13:24.000 So, here's what the New York Times says.
00:13:25.000 Now, this would be a good thing for Jews on campus.
00:13:27.000 I know lots of Jews on campus.
00:13:28.000 Now, this would be a good thing for Jews on campus.
00:13:41.000 I know lots of Jews on campus.
00:13:42.000 I know Jews on campuses like NYU who are routinely discriminated against by professors and students alike.
00:13:47.000 The order will effectively interpret interpret Judaism as a race or nationality, not just a religion, to prompt a federal law penalizing colleges and universities deemed to be shirking their responsibility to foster an open climate for minority students.
00:13:59.000 In recent years, the boycott, divestment, and sanctions movement against Israel has roiled some campuses, leaving some Jewish students feeling unwelcome or attacked.
00:14:06.000 Okay, let's be frank about this.
00:14:07.000 The State Department definition of anti-Semitism does encompass some anti-Israel language, meaning that if you are claiming that Israel is a racist Nazi apartheid state that is considered anti-Semitism, which it should be because it is, under State Department policy.
00:14:24.000 But that does not mean that all criticism of Israel is now outlawed on college campuses or something dumb like that.
00:14:29.000 If you single out Israel, among all the other states, for behavior that you don't care about from any other state, that is a form of anti-Semitism.
00:14:35.000 That has always been a form of anti-Semitism.
00:14:38.000 Yeah, the double standard is a form of anti-Semitism.
00:14:40.000 This was acknowledged by the Obama administration.
00:14:41.000 This is nothing new.
00:14:43.000 Trump was just formalizing something that was already known, which is why this is a legal executive order.
00:14:48.000 But here is the part that people are going nuts about.
00:14:50.000 That coverage, okay?
00:14:52.000 So, the New York Times says, Okay, so, let's be frank about this.
00:14:59.000 Being Jewish is all of the above.
00:15:02.000 It is all of the above.
00:15:04.000 So I've gotten a lot of flack, personally, for saying that I don't care particularly much about ethnic Judaism when it comes to whether I take someone's opinion seriously on Judaism.
00:15:13.000 I don't care what Noam Chomsky has to say about Judaism.
00:15:15.000 He doesn't know anything about it.
00:15:16.000 The fact that he was born Jewish really has very little to do with any of his opinions on Judaism.
00:15:23.000 When I'm talking about people who are speaking about the Jewish mission, or Jewish ideology, or Jewish philosophy, I'm going to take more seriously people who take Jewishness more seriously.
00:15:33.000 But when it comes to anti-Semitism, which is what this EO is about, when it comes to characterizing Jews, obviously Jews are an ethnicity, obviously Jews are a nationality, and Jewish nationhood has been a part of religious Jewish thought since literally the Bible.
00:15:49.000 When it talks about Am Yisrael, that means the nation of Israel.
00:15:52.000 There's nothing new here.
00:15:54.000 Okay, so the idea that Trump did something new by labeling Judaism race, nationality, and religion in the United States, that's nothing new at all.
00:16:04.000 Nor is that meant to take Jews and then put them in a separate category.
00:16:08.000 Now, as we'll see, because their brains are broken and they have lost all, I mean, like, they've lost all control of their mental functions, have decided that it is anti-Semitic for Trump to protect Jews on college campuses by acknowledging that anti-Semites treat them as a people despite their religiosity.
00:16:24.000 I've been told by left-wing Jews, by the way, left-wing Jews who aren't religious, Secular Jews.
00:16:28.000 How dare you connect Jewishness with Judaism?
00:16:31.000 How dare you, Ben Shapiro, you keep saying that you are more Jewish if you actually care about Judaism.
00:16:37.000 How dare you?
00:16:38.000 I'm just as much of a Jew as you are.
00:16:39.000 Right, you're just as much of an ethnic Jew as I am.
00:16:42.000 But there's another element, which is religious Judaism.
00:16:44.000 So I've been criticized for conflating Jewishness with Jewish religion.
00:16:51.000 I'm not saying that it's exclusively Jewish religion, but yes, Jewish religion plays a part in how Jewish you are, obviously, in terms of your practice, or your philosophy, or your ideology.
00:16:59.000 But left-wing Jews will say, you know, you have no more basis to speak about Judaism than I do, even though I've never read the Bible and don't care about Judaism.
00:17:06.000 Now they're taking precisely the opposite tack.
00:17:08.000 Now they are saying that if Trump says what they say, right?
00:17:11.000 If Trump says, right, Jewishness is about more than just your religious practice, they go, oh, anti-Semitic.
00:17:15.000 Now you're labeling us a people apart.
00:17:17.000 And now you're preparing an anti-Semitic attack.
00:17:18.000 Wait until you hear this unbelievable idiocy, which, by the way, is also a complete perversion of the nature of an executive order designed to protect Jews on college campuses who are very much under attack on college campuses right now.
00:17:30.000 Okay, we'll get to all of this in just one second.
00:17:32.000 Trump broke people's brains.
00:17:33.000 People have lost their damn minds.
00:17:35.000 We'll get to that in one second.
00:17:36.000 First, let's talk about a sad reality.
00:17:38.000 Two out of three dudes are going to experience some form of male pattern baldness by the time they are 35.
00:17:43.000 And once that hair is gone, the chances of it coming back en masse, pretty much nil.
00:17:48.000 That is why you need to keep the hair that you have.

00:18:38.000 That is K-E-E-P-S dot com slash Ben.
00:18:40.000 Keeps dot com slash Ben.
00:18:42.000 Okay, so...
00:18:43.000 Every Jew ever, until like apparently this moment, has understood that being a Jew is a few separate things that are all together, right?
00:18:50.000 It is a religion.
00:18:50.000 Judaism is a religion.
00:18:51.000 Judaism is also a nationality in the sense of it's a shared ancestry.
00:18:56.000 If your mother is Jewish under Jewish law, then you are Jewish.
00:18:59.000 It is also a race in the sense that, again, it is a shared ancestry.
00:19:03.000 And to be considered a philosophical Jew, you have to buy into the religion.
00:19:08.000 To be considered an ethnic Jew, you do not have to buy into the religion.
00:19:11.000 For purposes of anti-Semites, it doesn't matter.
00:19:13.000 As long as you have any sense of Judaism, And you are ethnically Jewish in any way.
00:19:19.000 Anti-Semites will come after you.
00:19:21.000 And this is what secular Jews have found out throughout history.
00:19:23.000 Throughout history, this has been the truth.
00:19:25.000 Okay, so, the left wing comes out in force against Trump's EO, designed to protect Jews, calling Trump the real anti-Semite.
00:19:31.000 So the same people who, 24 hours from now, will be completely ignoring the Black Hebrew Israelite massacre at this kosher supermarket.
00:19:38.000 They will be the same exact people are going to be ripping on Trump as an anti-Semite for promulgating an EO that protects Jews on college campuses.
00:19:47.000 You cannot make this bleep up.
00:19:48.000 You cannot make it up.
00:19:50.000 OK, so you get Justin Amash, who generally I have liked, right?
00:19:53.000 Justin Amash, the libertarian from from Michigan.
00:19:56.000 He tweets out Jewish Americans are American.
00:19:59.000 Yeah, no bleep, dude!
00:20:00.000 And guess what?
00:20:01.000 So are black Americans.
00:20:01.000 They're also protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
00:20:04.000 Like, if you say that black people are a race in the United States, that does not mean that they are a people apart from Americans.
00:20:11.000 Like, what the hell are you talking about?
00:20:12.000 Okay, and then you get...
00:20:14.000 And then you get Biana Golodryga, who's a CNN senior analyst, and she tweets out, the intent may be admirable, but the defining label is very Soviet.
00:20:23.000 Because the Soviets used to put on their passports that if you were Jewish, they would define your nationality not as Soviet, but as Jewish.
00:20:31.000 Okay, but that's not what Trump is doing here!
00:20:32.000 What the hell are you talking about?
00:20:34.000 He's acknowledging that Judaism, that being a Jew, is not just being a religious Jew, but if you are a secular Jew, if you are an ethnic Jew, that you are also counted as Jew for purposes of protection under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
00:20:44.000 He's not saying you're a people a part to be deported or some such crap.
00:20:47.000 I mean, what the hell?
00:20:48.000 Like, we're now going to pretend that Jews are not a nationality?
00:20:51.000 That Jews are not a nation?
00:20:53.000 Literally, Israel is called Am Yisrael, not the state of Israel.
00:20:57.000 The people of Israel.
00:20:58.000 The people of Israel has been a thing.
00:21:00.000 Okay, this is crazy.
00:21:01.000 Andrea Pitzer, who writes books on the concentration camps, she actually tweeted out, Hey, you know this whole thing where an authoritarian personality who's embraced white supremacists on staff decides to designate Jews a separate population category might have some ramifications down the line.
00:21:16.000 The hell is wrong with you?
00:21:18.000 Jews are... So now you've got secular Jews who are telling me five seconds ago that I was putting too much focus on Jewish philosophy and religion.
00:21:26.000 In terms of how I define Jewishness.
00:21:28.000 Saying that, unless you define it as only religion, you are now a white supremacist who is a Nazi.
00:21:35.000 Have you lost your damn mind?
00:21:37.000 Are you out of your mind?
00:21:38.000 What the hell are you talking about?
00:21:40.000 This is crazy!
00:21:41.000 Okay, and this was the hot trending meme on Twitter last night.
00:21:45.000 It was the hot meme on Twitter last night.
00:21:47.000 You have to be so ignorant, like, read a damn book, you idiots!
00:21:52.000 Zach Beauchamp, who Matt Iglesias is the Ralph Wiggum of the internet over at Vox.com.
00:21:58.000 Zach Beauchamp is like his more ignorant younger brother.
00:22:02.000 He tweeted out the leader of a heavily Christian party using a nonsensical definition of Judaism to justify a policy that would be disproportionately used to silence speech from young Muslims.
00:22:10.000 It's too much.
00:22:11.000 Are you a crazy person?
00:22:12.000 Are you a nonsensical definition of Judaism?
00:22:16.000 Again, that's always been the definition of Judaism.
00:22:18.000 What in the hell are you talking about?
00:22:21.000 Ishan Tharoor said we live in an age where Jews who support BDS are anti-Semites and white nationalists who back Israel are not.
00:22:27.000 So now Trump is an anti-Semite because he apparently wants Jews to be protected on college campuses.
00:22:35.000 But Jews who support BDS are not anti-Semites because they are ethnic Jews and therefore cannot be anti-Semitic.
00:22:41.000 Okay, so you can't have it both ways.
00:22:42.000 Either the ethnic Judaism is actually a thing or it's not a thing.
00:22:46.000 You can't, like, this is utterly nonsensical.
00:22:48.000 People hit their heads or they're just damn liars, which is really what this is about.
00:22:53.000 Abba Eban, who is the former foreign minister of Israel, one of the great voices in Jewish history, he was asked about Judaism at one point by Mike Wallace.
00:23:01.000 He said, it's a religion, it's a peoplehood, it's a civilization, it's a faith, it's a memory.
00:23:04.000 It's a world of thought and spirit and action and it cannot be restrictively defined.
00:23:07.000 This is so insane.
00:23:09.000 Erin Beeba, another one of these journalists, she suggested that this was the predicate for the Nuremberg Laws.
00:23:15.000 So you are now denying, secular Jews are now apparently denying they are Jews in order to own Trump.
00:23:21.000 Well done, everyone.
00:23:22.000 Well done, everyone.
00:23:23.000 By the way, now you look at the executive order.
00:23:26.000 And what does the executive order do?
00:23:27.000 It codifies the exact same definitions used by the Obama Department of Education.
00:23:32.000 The exact same definitions.
00:23:34.000 Exact same ones.
00:23:36.000 And points out that if you discriminate against Jews on campus, that's a bad thing.
00:23:39.000 And that you should lose your federal funding.
00:23:41.000 For this, Trump is being labeled an anti-Semite.
00:23:44.000 And also, the anti-Semites don't exist in New York, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio, because they're not white supremacists.
00:23:50.000 Yeah, me thinks that the left does not take anti-semitism very seriously.
00:23:53.000 Me thinks that the same left that cheers Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib open anti-semites, Jew haters all.
00:23:58.000 The same left that pats Jeremy Corbyn, a Jew hater, on the head.
00:24:03.000 By the way, Jeremy Corbyn's party could theoretically be in power by this time tomorrow.
00:24:08.000 Jeremy Corbyn is so anti-Semitic that the Chief Rabbi of Israel condemned the Labour Party.
00:24:12.000 85% of Jews will vote against Labour even though Jews tend to vote Liberal in Great Britain.
00:24:19.000 Anti-Semitism is on the rise, but the Left doesn't care about that.
00:24:21.000 They literally do not care about it so long as it comes from the Left.
00:24:24.000 It's only a tool to be wielded against people they disagree with politically.
00:24:26.000 We'll get to more of this in just one second, plus we'll get to all the impeachment-related stuff and everything.
00:24:30.000 First, I've needed coffee this month.
00:24:32.000 I will be honest with you.
00:24:33.000 There's been a lot of news.
00:24:34.000 And also, my kids have been waking me up at inordinately early hours.
00:24:38.000 That means I need my coffee.
00:24:39.000 Which coffee do I use?
00:24:40.000 You know which coffee.
00:24:41.000 I use Black Rifle Coffee all month long.

00:24:55.000 I mean, I know them, I like them, and their coffee happens to be unbelievably good.
00:24:59.000 Right now, Black Rifle Coffee is releasing awesome product bundles.
00:25:03.000 It's a one-stop shop for everyone on your list.
00:25:07.000 I mean, it is just... The coffee, by the way, again, again, it is fantastic.
00:25:12.000 They have a special limited edition holiday roast that is excellent.
00:25:15.000 Their coffee is not for the weak-minded.
00:25:17.000 I mean, this is strong stuff, and it is good stuff.
00:25:19.000 It tastes really good.
00:25:20.000 I'm a little bit of a coffee aficionado.
00:25:21.000 I can tell you that Black Rifle Coffee is excellent stuff.

00:25:49.000 No, these are people.
00:25:50.000 They are pro-military.
00:25:51.000 They are pro-police.
00:25:52.000 They are hardcore dudes.
00:25:54.000 Go check out BlackRifleCoffee.com slash Ben.
00:25:56.000 Get your hardcore coffee.
00:25:57.000 from them.
00:25:58.000 They're just great.
00:25:59.000 Okay, so what exactly is in this executive order?
00:26:01.000 So we were informed by the New York Times it was going to quash free speech and also that it was President Trump doing something totally wild about Jewish nationality, which again is insane.
00:26:09.000 Insane.
00:26:10.000 Okay, here's what the executive order actually says.
00:26:12.000 I'm reading it right now.
00:26:13.000 By the authority vested in me as President, by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered as follows.
00:26:21.000 My administration is committed to combating the rise of anti-semitism and anti-semitic incidents in the United States and around the world.
00:26:27.000 Anti-semitic incidents have increased since 2013, and students in particular continue to face anti-semitic harassment in schools and on university and college campuses.
00:26:35.000 Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.
00:26:44.000 While Title VI does not cover discrimination based on religion, individuals who face discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin do not lose protection under Title VI for also being a member of a group that shares common religious practices.
00:26:56.000 Discrimination against Jews may give rise to a Title VI violation when the discrimination is based on an individual's race, color, or national origin.
00:27:04.000 It shall be the policy of the Executive Branch to enforce Title VI against prohibited forms of discrimination rooted in anti-Semitism as vigorously as against all other forms of discrimination prohibited And then they talk about how they are going to define all of this.
00:27:19.000 The non-legally binding working definition of anti-Semitism adopted on May 26th, 2016 by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, which states, anti-Semitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews.
00:27:30.000 Rhetorical and physical manifestations of anti-Semitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and or their property toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.
00:27:39.000 And the contemporary examples of anti-Semitism identified by the International Holocaust Loss Remembrance Association, to the extent those examples are useful, agencies should So this isn't even going to crack down on anti-Israel speech.
00:27:55.000 It is specifically designed to go after anti-Semitic conduct on college campuses.
00:28:00.000 Again, in line with the Obama Department of Education.
00:28:03.000 There's not even a mention of Israel anywhere in the EO.
00:28:06.000 Nowhere.
00:28:07.000 And this drove people off the edge, because people have lost their damn minds, and because apparently, Trump bad, Trump bad man, orange bad, very bad, Trump bad man, orange.
00:28:16.000 Just, just utter, utter crazy towns.
00:28:18.000 Utter crazy towns.
00:28:20.000 Okay, now, meanwhile, the impeachment effort moves forward.
00:28:24.000 If you think that Trump derangement syndrome ain't a thing, the entire first half of the show has been about Trump derangement syndrome, okay?
00:28:30.000 Now, Trump derangement syndrome in practice.
00:28:32.000 So the impeachment is moving forward, despite the fact that Democrats don't actually have grounds for the impeachment.
00:28:37.000 Doug Collins of Georgia, he said yesterday, and he is correct, that the grounds for impeachment are not only weak, they are pretty much undefined.
00:28:45.000 Here is Doug Collins pointing out that the abuse of power charge is about as vague as it gets.
00:28:50.000 Abuse of power is the most ambiguous, vague reference to an impeachment you could ever have.
00:28:55.000 You can make it anything you want.
00:28:57.000 You don't like the president got up and wore a red tie.
00:28:59.000 That's abuse of power.
00:29:00.000 You don't like, as Eric Swalwell, former president Eric Swalwell said, you can be impeached for removing an ambassador.
00:29:08.000 I don't know what planet he's living on, but that's not an impeachable offense.
00:29:12.000 But abuse of power will give you that.
00:29:13.000 Okay, and that is exactly right.
00:29:15.000 By the way, even Democrats are recognizing that these things are incredibly vague, and you're seeing an argument break out on the left over impeachment.
00:29:21.000 Should we have broadened this out to include the Mueller stuff just so we can kind of throw the kitchen sink in there?
00:29:25.000 Should we have been more specific?
00:29:27.000 Should we have waited for more information?
00:29:29.000 The Democrats are in disarray over what exactly this impeachment means.
00:29:32.000 So you have Representative Stephen Lynch pointing out on CNN, yeah, this is pretty nebulous and fuzzy.
00:29:38.000 I do think you need to be very specific about what you're charging the president with.
00:29:43.000 And I think that abuse of power is, you know, it is a little bit fuzzier.
00:29:50.000 It's sort of nebulous.
00:29:51.000 So, you know, I think there were probably elements of, you know, a conspiracy to commit bribery that were clearly, you know, articulated during the during the depositions.
00:30:04.000 OK, so he's saying we should have gone with bribery.
00:30:06.000 The problem is they didn't have the elements of bribery, so they couldn't go with bribery.
00:30:09.000 On this basis, Mitch McConnell in the Senate, he's saying, listen, there are not 67 votes here.
00:30:13.000 There aren't 50 votes here.
00:30:14.000 Here's Mitch McConnell saying this ain't going nowhere.
00:30:17.000 I would be totally surprised if there were 67 senators to remove the president.
00:30:24.000 That remains my view.
00:30:26.000 However, we are obligated under the Constitution to turn to it when it comes over, and we will.
00:30:32.000 Okay, on this basis, a small group of Democrats in the House are recognizing that this is a loser.
00:30:36.000 The polls are turning against impeachment.
00:30:38.000 People don't think there's much there there.
00:30:40.000 And they certainly don't think that this is worthy of impeachment as a general rule.
00:30:43.000 Like, the people who hate Trump want him impeached, but that's just because they don't want him to be president.
00:30:46.000 Not because they actually believe that this amounts to an impeachable offense, which is why Democrats in swing districts are actually militating against impeachment and in favor of censure, which would have been the Democrats' strongest move here, right?
00:30:57.000 They would have had to put the Republicans on record either backing Trump's play or not backing Trump's play, but without any real ramifications for Trump other than sort of general political disapproval.
00:31:06.000 Now, because they reached for impeachment on this thing, they're not going to get anything from any Republicans, and even swing Democrats are a little bit uneasy about this.
00:31:13.000 A group of about 10 lawmakers, according to Politico, including Representatives Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey, Kurt Schrader of Oregon, Anthony Brindisi of New York, and Ben McAdams of Utah, they say, yeah, censure would have been a better play here.
00:31:24.000 Schrader said, I think it's certainly appropriate and might be a little more bipartisan.
00:31:27.000 Who knows?
00:31:28.000 He said, time is slipping by.
00:31:31.000 But apparently, the moderate Democrats are not going to get what they want.
00:31:35.000 Instead, Nancy Pelosi has already ruled out censure, so they're going to go for broke even though they don't actually have the goods here.
00:31:41.000 Okay, in just a second, we're going to get to President Trump's reaction to all of this.
00:31:43.000 He was rallying in Pennsylvania last night, and the man has brass ones.
00:31:48.000 We'll talk about that in just a second.
00:31:50.000 One second.
00:31:50.000 First, let us talk about how you manage your family online.
00:31:54.000 The fact is that if you have kids, you do have to figure out how much screen time you want to give them.
00:31:57.000 So the rules for the pediatricians suggest no screen time until they are age two, but then they're age two.
00:32:02.000 So what exactly do you do to make sure that your kids are not on screens all day long like you, right?
00:32:06.000 You don't want to be on a screen all day long, but you're an adult.
00:32:09.000 Your brain is fully developed.
00:32:10.000 Your kids, not so much.
00:32:11.000 This is why you need Circle.
00:32:13.000 Circle is the award-winning way to manage your family's online time across all connected devices, inside and outside your home.

00:34:26.000 We are the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:34:26.000 Do not wait.
00:34:26.000 way.
00:34:30.000 Okay, so the Democrats, as you can see, are just in a bit of disarray with regard to exactly how So you've got Thomas Friedman saying you must impeach Trump to save America.
00:34:45.000 Thomas Friedman, who's most often seen basically world-traveling at the behest of particular governments and then writing sophomoric drool pieces about those governments.
00:34:54.000 So he'll visit China, they'll put him up at a nice hotel, he'll be like, China is the wave of the future.
00:34:58.000 Then he'll head over to Iran, and they'll put him up at a nice hotel, he'll be like, The Iranian people love the Americans.
00:35:02.000 And then he'll head on over to Saudi Arabia and do the exact same thing.
00:35:06.000 Thomas Friedman's terrible.
00:35:07.000 In any case, Thomas Friedman has a column today saying President Trump not only should be impeached, he must be impeached if America's democracy is to remain intact.
00:35:16.000 Why?
00:35:17.000 Because the facts here are not in doubt.
00:35:18.000 Indeed, Trump's allies in the media and Congress have largely given up disputing them.
00:35:22.000 Trump held up congressionally directed taxpayer funding to strengthen Ukraine's military aid against Russia until the new Ukrainian president agreed to do what Trump called a favor.
00:35:30.000 Announced that Ukraine was investigating Trump's most likely opponents in the 2020 presidential election.
00:35:36.000 Trump apparently thought that just the announcement would kill Biden's campaign in its crib.
00:35:39.000 Well, I mean, apparently thought is you making the assumption that is critical to the impeachment case, Thomas Friedman.
00:35:45.000 And then he suggests that we need impeachment because if we don't have impeachment, then the election of 2020 will be illegitimate.
00:35:53.000 The integrity of our elections would be shattered.
00:35:55.000 We would never again have a legitimate president, according to Thomas Friedman, if Trump is not impeached.
00:36:00.000 Again, this is setting the narrative for the Democrats that if Trump wins in 2020, then it's not legit.
00:36:05.000 Again, I've been saying for the past week, this is dangerous stuff.
00:36:08.000 The Democrats thought this was dangerous stuff as of 2015.
00:36:11.000 Now the Democrats have refused to accept any election they lose.
00:36:14.000 All elections they lose are stolen from them.
00:36:16.000 And all elections they win are the will of the people.
00:36:19.000 Hey, but the actual argument over exactly how broad or narrow the impeachment should be is a rich one.
00:36:25.000 Jamal Bowie over at New York Times, he has more confidence in the ability of Democrats to come up with impeachable offenses than the Democrats do.
00:36:32.000 He has a piece today called, Two articles of impeachment for Trump are nowhere near enough.
00:36:36.000 The house should take its own sweet time and investigate many more aspects of the president's perfidious behavior.
00:36:41.000 Well, don't you think that if the Democrats thought they were going to be able to dig something up, they'd actually be able to do it?
00:36:45.000 And they would do it?
00:36:47.000 The answer is no.
00:36:48.000 The answer is that they don't actually think they can do it.
00:36:51.000 So they're not doing it.
00:36:52.000 So that is wishful thinking by Jamelle Bowie.
00:36:54.000 And then you have other Democrats saying this is too narrow and too vague.
00:36:57.000 We don't actually know what we're doing.
00:36:58.000 So it's a bit of chaos on the Democratic side.
00:37:00.000 This has led President Trump to the belief that he is inevitable.
00:37:03.000 So I'm still amused by the fact.
00:37:06.000 That members of the media are going crazy over Trump's memery on Twitter.
00:37:10.000 The man is a meme machine on Twitter.
00:37:11.000 He's a boomer meme machine.
00:37:12.000 He's actually a silent generation meme machine.
00:37:14.000 He puts out these hilarious memes on his own Twitter account.
00:37:18.000 Some of them are hilarious, some of them are off-putting, but he's been doing this since the very beginning because his Twitter account is a place of fun and gimmicks.
00:37:25.000 So, you remember that the media went nuts.
00:37:28.000 Went nuts.
00:37:29.000 For a picture that we created at Daily Wire that he retweeted of himself putting a medal on the dog that chased down al-Baghdadi in a cave before al-Baghdadi blew himself up.
00:37:37.000 And the media went nuts.
00:37:38.000 They fact-checked it.
00:37:39.000 Trump did not actually put medal on dog.
00:37:39.000 Fact-checked.
00:37:41.000 He did not give dog medal of pawner.
00:37:44.000 Well, now the media are going nuts.
00:37:45.000 Why?
00:37:46.000 Because Trump retweeted a tweet from the Trump War Room account, which is a meme of President Trump snapping his fingers like Thanos.
00:37:55.000 It's actually a meme of Thanos with Trump's head on him, snapping his fingers and making the Democrats who are calling for his impeachment disappear.
00:38:01.000 Here's what that sounded like.
00:38:02.000 I am inevitable.
00:38:14.000 On this solemn day, I recall that the first order of business for members of Congress This is a funny, stupid meme.
00:38:24.000 Like, who cares, right?
00:38:25.000 So, my favorite response to this was Democrats being like, well, you know what happened to Thanos?
00:38:30.000 He ends up losing at the end.
00:38:32.000 Yes, this is also a popular online meme.
00:38:34.000 It's been popular since the first part of the latest Avengers movie came out.
00:38:37.000 Like, come on, come on.
00:38:39.000 So, CNN's Don Lemon is in high dungeon about this.
00:38:42.000 Are we in junior high?
00:38:43.000 Are we?
00:38:44.000 Okay, why don't you go back to simulating sexual acts with Kathy Griffin.
00:38:48.000 On New Year's Eve on CNN, are we in junior high, Don Lemon?
00:38:52.000 He has his buddy cop show with Chris Cuomo every evening where they say sophomoric idiocies.
00:38:57.000 But apparently, are we in junior?
00:38:59.000 Yes, we're in junior high, and you're part of the group, and we all get it.
00:39:02.000 Yes, the answer is yes, we're in junior high.
00:39:04.000 The last time anybody referenced Frederick Hayek was 30 years ago, guys.
00:39:08.000 Yes, we are in junior high.
00:39:08.000 Nobody's read a book.
00:39:09.000 Hi, here's Don Lemon.
00:39:10.000 What are we in junior high school?
00:39:17.000 Like, what the hell?
00:39:19.000 What is this?
00:39:24.000 Like, what?
00:39:25.000 What?
00:39:25.000 I cannot believe that I'm even having to report this on the news.
00:39:37.000 I can't believe I'm not taking a break with Kathy Griffin simulating sexual acts on New Year's Eve to report this on the news.
00:39:44.000 I should be having a very serious conversation with Block of Wood Chris Cuomo right now about the legality of impeachment, not about a Trump tweet.
00:39:51.000 Why do I even have to report?
00:39:53.000 First of all, aren't you the anchor?
00:39:54.000 You don't have to report it.
00:39:55.000 You could just ignore it.
00:39:56.000 Instead, hi-dudgeon, Trump tweeted out a meme!
00:40:01.000 No, not a meme!
00:40:04.000 Come on!
00:40:05.000 Are we all going to feign outrage about this?
00:40:07.000 Trump is Trump.
00:40:08.000 Have you not noticed that for the past several decades?
00:40:11.000 Trump has not changed since he was a very, very young man.
00:40:15.000 Since birth, perhaps.
00:40:16.000 He is now in his seventh decade on this planet.
00:40:19.000 Yes, yes.
00:40:21.000 We are in junior high, and you're part of the group, and just because... Listen, Don, you're not gonna make fetch a thing.
00:40:26.000 You're not gonna make fetch a thing.
00:40:28.000 Okay, meanwhile, President Trump was giving a rally in Pennsylvania, and honestly, he seems like he's in a bit of a good mood because Trump actually likes the combat, right?
00:40:35.000 This is the thing about Trump.
00:40:36.000 He's most comfortable when he is in these combative situations.
00:40:40.000 So, here was Trump last night in Pennsylvania looking rather jolly because he's in front of a very large crowd.
00:40:45.000 This is his favorite place to be.
00:40:46.000 He's in front of a large crowd of his supporters going at his enemies.
00:40:50.000 Here is Trump going after Joe Biden.
00:40:52.000 Hey, do you ever notice where Biden keeps saying he's in the wrong state?
00:40:55.000 Like, if he's in Ohio, it's great to be in Iowa tonight.
00:41:00.000 If he's in Pennsylvania, it's wonderful to be in the state of Delaware.
00:41:04.000 What is wrong with this guy?
00:41:07.000 What's wrong with him?
00:41:08.000 There's something wrong.
00:41:10.000 Okay, there's something wrong.
00:41:12.000 No, he keeps.
00:41:13.000 How many times can you do that?
00:41:17.000 Again, this is Trump's favorite thing.
00:41:18.000 He's going to continue trolling, trolling, trolling, though the river's swollen.
00:41:22.000 Keep them doggies trolling.
00:41:24.000 Trump hide.
00:41:25.000 President Trump also trolled the Democrats on impeachment, and he's in a very good mood because the impeachment is not going to pass.
00:41:31.000 It's not going anywhere in the Senate.
00:41:33.000 The Democrats have basically Emptied their cannon.
00:41:36.000 I mean, what else do they have that they can throw at Trump other than the same old, same old?
00:41:41.000 Now, does that mean that Trump is winning right now?
00:41:42.000 Well, according to the national polls, no.
00:41:44.000 In the state polls, he's still pretty durable, apparently, in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan.
00:41:48.000 Wisconsin and Michigan, particularly, he's very durable, according to the state polls.
00:41:51.000 Nationally, he's still trailing every single Democrat, according to the latest polls.
00:41:55.000 But, he is in a good mood, because this thing, it's not gonna go anywhere.
00:41:59.000 I mean, basically, this thing is drawing to its sad conclusion.
00:41:59.000 It isn't.
00:42:03.000 Here's President Trump going after the Democrats on impeachment.
00:42:07.000 Any Democrat that votes for this sham will be voting to sacrifice their House majority, their dignity, and their career.
00:42:18.000 Okay, so there is President Trump going after them, and again, correctly, going after the Democrats on impeachment.
00:42:23.000 He says Democrats aren't even embarrassed of this stupid impeachment.
00:42:26.000 Now, I don't think that Nancy Pelosi has the capacity for embarrassment.
00:42:29.000 Frankly, I don't think Trump has the capacity for embarrassment.
00:42:31.000 I think the era of embarrassment is over.
00:42:33.000 But here's President Trump saying that if Democrats had any brains, they would be. - Announced impeachment.
00:42:38.000 And then an hour later, she announced that she's going to do USMCA.
00:42:43.000 It's a huge deal.
00:42:43.000 You know why?
00:42:45.000 And it plays down the impeachment because they're embarrassed by the impeachment.
00:42:49.000 And our poll numbers have gone through the roof because of her stupid impeachment. - Okay, so he is correct about this.
00:42:57.000 Meanwhile, his attorney general is going after his own FBI.
00:43:01.000 So as we mentioned earlier this week, there was this inspector general report from the DOJ that came out.
00:43:05.000 We've gone through it in a fair bit of detail on the podcast and the radio show.
00:43:10.000 And that IG report was pretty damning for the FBI, showing systemic errors throughout the system.
00:43:15.000 And it's interesting.
00:43:16.000 So the mainstream media headline was that the inspector general, Michael Horowitz, Had found that there was no bias inside the FBI with regard to these cases, as I pointed out, that was not actually true.
00:43:28.000 It just the only standard that was being used by Michael Horowitz was didn't meet the baseline level of legality, meaning that if the people who were biased could make a claim that they were doing something legal.
00:43:39.000 Was that enough?
00:43:40.000 And that was the standard used.
00:43:42.000 So, just as proof of this, today, Horowitz testified in front of the Senate, I believe.
00:43:49.000 And he was asked, can you say that it wasn't because of political bias, the 17-carter page FISA errors, for example?
00:43:55.000 His answer was, I do not know.
00:43:57.000 Which is true!
00:43:58.000 He doesn't know.
00:43:59.000 Okay, so President Trump was going hard after the FBI last night saying that the scum at the FBI destroyed people's lives.
00:44:04.000 Presumably he is talking here about George Papadopoulos and Carter Page, right, who were dragged through the mud over what apparently amounted to nothing.
00:44:12.000 Here's Trump last night.
00:44:14.000 The FBI also sent multiple undercover human spies to surveil and record people associated with our campaign.
00:44:22.000 Look how they've hurt people.
00:44:24.000 They've destroyed the lives of people that were great people, that are still great people.
00:44:30.000 Their lives have been destroyed by scum, okay?
00:44:34.000 By scum.
00:44:35.000 Okay, well, you know, were these people scum or were they just bad at their jobs?
00:44:40.000 Whatever the motives, it is pretty obvious that the divide in America is going to grow larger.
00:44:43.000 William Barr, the Attorney General, rightly suggests that the FBI launched this probe into an actual opposing political campaign on flimsy evidence.
00:44:52.000 So he made a statement about the IG report basically saying we disagree that this investigation ever should have been launched.
00:44:59.000 The IG was only finding whether a baseline level, it actually says the words low level in the IG report, a low level of suspicion is necessary to launch an investigation.
00:45:09.000 And Barr says even that low level by my likes was not met.
00:45:12.000 He says the FBI launched this thing on the basis of nearly nothing.
00:45:16.000 Presidential campaigns are frequently in contact with foreign persons.
00:45:20.000 And indeed, in most campaigns, there are signs of illegal foreign money coming in.
00:45:26.000 And we don't automatically assume that the campaigns are nefarious and traitors and acting in league with foreign powers.
00:45:35.000 There has to be some basis before we use these very potent powers in our core First Amendment activity.
00:45:42.000 And here, I felt this was very flimsy.
00:45:46.000 Okay, and then William Barr also suggested that the Trump campaign was spied on.
00:45:49.000 So last night the media were saying, no, Trump claimed that he was spied on by the FBI.
00:45:54.000 That's nonsense.
00:45:55.000 He wasn't spied on.
00:45:56.000 Here's Barr saying no.
00:45:57.000 When you send confidential human sources to infiltrate a candidate's campaign, and when you wiretap members of his foreign policy aid team in an attempt to get him, that kind of is spying, is it not?
00:46:09.000 He was clearly spied upon.
00:46:10.000 I mean, that's what electronic surveillance is.
00:46:13.000 I think wiring people up to go in and talk to people and make recordings of their conversations is spying.
00:46:19.000 I think going through people's emails, which they did as a result of the FISA warrant.
00:46:23.000 They went through everything, you know, from Page's life.
00:46:27.000 Because he wasn't in the campaign at the point where he began the surveillance.
00:46:30.000 Yes, but his emails were, go back.
00:46:33.000 Okay, well, Lindsey Graham just asked Michael Horowitz, in testimony, whether this was spying.
00:46:39.000 He said, let's put it this way, if you don't have a legal foundation to surveil somebody, and you keep doing it, is that bad?
00:46:43.000 And Horowitz said, absolutely.
00:46:44.000 And Graham said, is that spying?
00:46:46.000 And Horowitz said, it's illegal surveillance.
00:46:48.000 Yeah, that's fine.
00:46:49.000 That's fine.
00:46:51.000 So we're supposed to believe that the IG report rejected Trump.
00:46:54.000 It didn't.
00:46:54.000 It rejected the activities of the FBI under Barack Obama.
00:46:58.000 Now how high up that goes is still an open question.
00:47:00.000 Whether this whole thing was launched under false auspices in order to get Trump, Barr has sort of implied that it was.
00:47:06.000 And it's not just Barr implying that it is.
00:47:08.000 John Durham, who is the DA who's doing his own investigation here.
00:47:11.000 That is still up in the air.
00:47:12.000 Here's Barr saying that the greatest threat to American democracy was not anything Trump was doing in 2016.
00:47:16.000 It was the militarization of law enforcement against Trump's campaign in 2016.
00:47:22.000 I think probably from a civil liberties standpoint, the greatest danger to our free system is that the incumbent government use the apparatus of the state, principally the law enforcement agencies and the intelligence agencies, both to spy on political opponents, but also to use them in a way that could affect the outcome of the election.
00:47:46.000 As far as I'm aware, this is the first time in history that this has been done to a presidential campaign.
00:47:52.000 Okay, so Barr presumably will bring out additional evidence of this along with John Durham in the coming weeks, so we'll keep an eye on that.
00:47:58.000 Meanwhile, it's nearing the end of the year, and so we get all of these awards given to various political figures.
00:48:03.000 Time magazine gave its Person of the Year to Greta Thunberg, no shock there.
00:48:06.000 Greta Thunberg has been held up by the media as an example.
00:48:08.000 of true activism.
00:48:09.000 I believe Time Magazine a couple of years ago made the Parkland kids their people of the year, if I'm not mistaken.
00:48:14.000 So this is not anything shocking.
00:48:16.000 It's also trollery from Time trying to draw fire because they understand some people on the right will then attack Greta Thunberg and then they can use that as an excuse to say that people on the right are intolerant of children or whatever it is.
00:48:26.000 Listen, Greta Thunberg is doing what is right according to her own lights.
00:48:29.000 I think that she is wrong about a lot of this stuff.
00:48:31.000 I don't think that what she's doing is particularly useful.
00:48:33.000 I don't think that driving ire about a problem that has no clear and obvious solution is particularly useful, but that's what Time Magazine does.
00:48:41.000 The other one that is going to draw not nearly as much attention, but it's actually kind of more important for the country and the world moving forward, Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary has now named the word they, it's word of the year.
00:48:54.000 Now you're saying to yourself, why is the word they?
00:48:57.000 A word of the year.
00:48:58.000 Isn't that just a word that we use all the time?
00:49:00.000 Ah, but it's the non-binary pronoun.
00:49:02.000 It's using they as a singular.
00:49:03.000 That's the word of the year.
00:49:05.000 The definition of they as a non-binary pronoun was added to three other separate definitions of the word in September.
00:49:11.000 Apparently, Merriam-Webster said that the word of the year winner was determined by data.
00:49:16.000 Key moments cited by the dictionary publisher where searches spiked were January's Paris Fashion Week featuring non-binary model Oslo Grace, U.S.
00:49:23.000 Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal's April statement about her child being gender nonconforming, and June's Pride celebrations.
00:49:30.000 Emily Brewster, who's the senior editor at Merriam-Webster said, Pronouns are among the language's most commonly used words, and like other common words, they tend to have been mostly ignored by dictionary users.
00:49:39.000 But over the past year or so, as people have increasingly encountered the non-binary use, we've seen searches for they grow dramatically.
00:49:46.000 Yes, because everyone was searching to see if everyone had lost their collective mind, and until Merriam-Webster changed the dictionary to reflect a horrible grammatical usage, the answer was no.
00:49:56.000 So we have now changed the dictionary to meet the stupidity of an ideology that suggests that you can identify as multiple genders at once, or no gender at all.
00:50:06.000 All of this is just sheer nonsense, but good to know that the authoritative institutions in our society are bowing before it.
00:50:11.000 Okay, time for a thing that I hate.
00:50:14.000 We'll do some things I hate.
00:50:14.000 hate.
00:50:14.000 No things I like today, just things I hate.
00:50:16.000 Okay, so good news.
00:50:22.000 At the Lakers game a few nights ago, there's a singer named Lizzo, who I've really not been familiar with, and she was wearing, like, I don't even know where you get this particular outfit.
00:50:31.000 Like, where is this outfit available?
00:50:33.000 Because it seems like not a great outfit, to be honest with you.
00:50:36.000 She was wearing what appeared to be a dress that covered her front.
00:50:40.000 Then she turned around when she saw she was on camera, and it turns out that she was wearing a thong, and she started shaking her rather ample rear, which is not, listen, You know, beautiful is in many sizes, but she begins shaking her groove thing while wearing a thong in the face of the camera to be put up on the billboard.
00:50:59.000 So she basically does a stripper act and she's twerking on the billboard.
00:51:03.000 If you can't see this, here she is dancing and then suddenly you have her twerking Doing a fully sexualized twerk in a thong at the Lakers game and people laughing and cheering.
00:51:15.000 Oh, the hysterical joy of all of this.
00:51:17.000 Now, if you point out that you probably should not, like, you wouldn't have strippers at a game.
00:51:21.000 Like, strippers at a game actually twerking on the dance floor would be a bad one, right?
00:51:26.000 There are lots of kids in the crowd.
00:51:27.000 It's not appropriate for children.
00:51:28.000 The fact that this is considered Good behavior is empowering?
00:51:33.000 I'm confused why it's empowering more than just shameless.
00:51:37.000 Shame seems like guilt.
00:51:39.000 Guilt seems like a perfectly fine thing.
00:51:41.000 If you're doing something that affects children, like if you get naked in front of children at a Lakers game, That doesn't seem empowering as much as it just seems like you being incredibly self-absorbed and not thinking about anybody whose eyeballs are on the screen.
00:51:54.000 But, in any case, this was seen as a sign of body positivity, specifically because she is ample, right?
00:51:58.000 Because she is not a skinny woman, because she is not an in-shape human being, this is now seen as empowering because she's comfortable in her own body.
00:52:07.000 Well, listen, I'm glad for her that she feels secure in her own body.
00:52:10.000 She's made a lot of money off of her talents.
00:52:13.000 I don't know her talents because I'm not familiar with her work, but the fact that this is now seen as a form of empowerment, let's put it this way.
00:52:20.000 If you're an overweight person and you're required, Lizzo, taking off the back of her dress and shaking her rather large butt in a thong in order for you to feel better about yourself, I would suggest that you surround yourself with family and friends who care about you.
00:52:37.000 Because, um, no.
00:52:39.000 No.
00:52:40.000 Okay, other things that I hate today.
00:52:42.000 So Megan Rapinoe was given the Sports Illustrated Person of the Year or Athlete of the Year.
00:52:48.000 Not a shock, she had a great Women's World Cup.
00:52:50.000 Also, she happens to be a political figure and Sports Illustrated has become, effectively speaking, Time Magazine with basketballs.
00:52:58.000 And, you know, just like ESPN has become MSNBC with footballs.
00:53:01.000 So Sports Illustrated gives the Sports Person of the Year to Megan Rapinoe, deserved on the sports level, not really deserved on the political level, and they get exactly what they deserve.
00:53:11.000 Megan Rapinoe then rips into Sports Illustrated, which I should have put this under things I like, frankly, because I do like this.
00:53:17.000 I think that when people get exactly what they deserve, it's quite wonderful.
00:53:19.000 So according to Mediaite, she got up and apparently they say, as one of just four women to win the Sports Person of the Year award, she wasted no time in putting Sports Illustrated in the hot seat, saying in an acceptance speech, is it truth that I'm only the fourth woman deserving of this award?
00:53:35.000 I don't think so!
00:53:37.000 Is it true so few writers of color deserve to be featured in this publication?
00:53:40.000 No!
00:53:41.000 Is it true so few women's voices deserve to be heard and deserve to be read in this publication?
00:53:45.000 I don't think so!
00:53:46.000 So, she's being given an award for her social justice activism, and she immediately swivels and clocks the people giving her the award, suggesting that they are, in fact, a bunch of sexists.
00:53:56.000 That they haven't given more awards to women in the past.
00:54:00.000 So, first of all, I just said, I think that on a comparative level, she's deserving of the award.
00:54:04.000 Who else would be deserving of the award last year?
00:54:06.000 There are a few other people, maybe, but the fact is, And she's as deserving as anybody in her sphere, right?
00:54:12.000 If you are ranking people by their sphere.
00:54:13.000 If we were just gonna go like athlete of the year, like best athlete of the last year, it would never be a woman.
00:54:18.000 Like literally ever.
00:54:19.000 The reason being, the bell curve for physical performance when you get to the very edge of the bell curve is all men.
00:54:24.000 Because men are built differently than women.
00:54:27.000 But, if we are talking about in their respective sports people who are important to their particular industry, of course Megan Rapinoe deserves the award.
00:54:33.000 With that said, the fact that she is now dictating to Sports Illustrated how they got to staff editorially is amazing to me, and I kind of love it.
00:54:40.000 I kind of love the fact that these Sports Illustrated, SJW woke idiots Who are like, Megan Rapinoe, we have to give her the award because she's so, she hates Trump, she talks about gay marriage, she says that America sucks, she'll kneel for the, oh my god, so much heroine, so much heroism, and then she's like, well how about you guys?
00:54:58.000 How about you guys?
00:54:59.000 You sexists!
00:55:01.000 You brutal, vicious, racist, white, patriarchal, sexists!
00:55:04.000 You need more women writing for your magazine!
00:55:06.000 Okay, got it.
00:55:07.000 I think that she should be made the editor of Sports Illustrated.
00:55:10.000 Sports Illustrated should now go all the way.
00:55:11.000 They've been called out by a person woker than they are, and that means she should be the honorary editor.
00:55:16.000 They made her the honorary sportsperson of the year in part because of her politics.
00:55:19.000 Why not put her in charge of your editorial policy?
00:55:21.000 You can fire all of the writers who are male who are good, and you can hire women, whether they are qualified or not.
00:55:28.000 And then you will have achieved some sort of real parity.
00:55:32.000 That'll be great.
00:55:34.000 In November of last year, by the way, she won the Glamour Woman of the Year award.
00:55:38.000 And then she went after glamour too, right?
00:55:40.000 She said, well, I'm enjoying all this unprecedented and frankly a little bit uncomfortable attention.
00:55:44.000 Okay, first of all, the idea that Megan Rapinoe is uncomfortable with attention?
00:55:48.000 If you believe that, I mean, really?
00:55:51.000 Your head is as empty as an airplane hangar in the middle of the day if you believe that Megan Rapinoe is uncomfortable with attention.
00:55:59.000 This is a person who is attention-seeking beyond all people, but she says she's enjoying all this unprecedented and frankly a little bit uncomfortable attention and personal success in large part due to my activism off the field.
00:56:10.000 Colin Kaepernick is effectively banned.
00:56:12.000 She says, I see no clearer example of that system being alive and well than me standing before you right now.
00:56:18.000 She said this at Glamour.
00:56:19.000 The fact that she won an award, I'm going to use this opportunity to rip on Glamour because you guys didn't do enough for Colin Kaepernick!
00:56:26.000 Uh, here's the thing.
00:56:28.000 Once you give the SJWs an inch, they will- The alligator will eat you.
00:56:32.000 It may eat you last, but the faster you get in the alligator's crosshairs, by the way, the faster you're in the line of sight of the SJW alligator, the faster you're gonna get eaten.
00:56:41.000 So Sports Illustrated got the treatment.
00:56:42.000 Glamour got the treatment.
00:56:44.000 Love it.
00:56:44.000 Love it.
00:56:46.000 I only hope that Megan Rapinoe continues to do this.
00:56:48.000 I hope she continues to wipe the floor with all of the SJW editors who worship at her altar, and then they come before her to kiss the ring, and she immediately slaps them.
00:56:57.000 She backhands them across the faces.
00:56:59.000 If only you were more woke.
00:57:01.000 If only you were more woke!
00:57:03.000 I think the only, the only, automatically under Article 29 of the Constitution of the United States, she has now become the editor of Sports Illustrated.
00:57:12.000 It's sort of like the old code of chivalry.
00:57:16.000 That if you had a fight with somebody, it's the king's justice.
00:57:21.000 You throw down the gauntlet.
00:57:22.000 If you have the fight, then you get to take the other person's land.
00:57:25.000 I think it's like that.
00:57:26.000 If you invite Megan Rapinoe to receive an award from you, she receives the award, and then she beats the crap out of you.
00:57:31.000 She now inherits your magazine, so she should be the editor of Sports Illustrated and Glamour.
00:57:35.000 She should be the ombudsman of ESPN.
00:57:38.000 Why the hell not?
00:57:39.000 She knows better than you, because she plays soccer and is woke!
00:57:44.000 You deserve all of this.
00:57:45.000 Sports Illustrated, every little bit of it.
00:57:48.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today for two additional hours of content, plus we'll be back here tomorrow.
