00:00:00.000 Republicans probably hold the Senate and pick up seats in the House.
00:00:03.000 The election carries on into Wednesday and apparently far beyond.
00:00:06.000 And we analyze what everyone, yes, every single human got wrong.
00:00:10.000 I'm Ben Shapiro.
00:00:11.000 This is the Ben Shapiro Show.
00:00:18.000 The Ben Shapiro Show is sponsored by ExpressVPN.

00:00:23.000 We'll get to all the chaos.
00:00:24.000 And it is, this is the most chaotic day in American political history, or at least that I can remember.
00:00:30.000 Okay, this is more chaotic than 2000.
00:00:31.000 It is just, it is a bleep show.
00:00:33.000 It is a bleep show out there.
00:00:35.000 There are a bevy of states that are too close to call.
00:00:37.000 We are the morning after the election.
00:00:39.000 There's still a bevy of states that are too close to call.
00:00:41.000 Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, all too close to call.
00:00:45.000 Georgia might be in that list.
00:00:47.000 We still don't know who the president is going to be.
00:00:50.000 We don't know whether this is going to come down to voting irregularities and what the voter rules actually are in states like Pennsylvania or Michigan or Wisconsin.
00:00:57.000 It is an absolute utter mess.
00:00:59.000 Only one thing is perfectly clear.
00:01:01.000 Everybody in the polling industry needs to learn to code.
00:01:03.000 They need to learn to code.
00:01:04.000 Except for Robert Kahaley over at Trafalgar.
00:01:06.000 Every single other human in the polling industry needs to immediately be put to work digging ditches so they can meet an actual human outside of New York and L.A.
00:01:14.000 The polling errors here were so bad.
00:01:16.000 We're going to get to all of this in just one second.
00:01:18.000 First...
00:01:19.000 Let us talk about the fact that the market is not a big fan of uncertainty.
00:01:22.000 The market does not love uncertainty.
00:01:24.000 I can't think of a more uncertain time and unsettled time than this has been over the course of the last year.
00:01:29.000 That's why it's worthwhile diversifying at least a little bit into precious metals.
00:01:33.000 You should diversify a portion of your savings into gold or silver.
00:01:35.000 Precious metals are perhaps the greatest hedge against uncertainty and the weakening value of the dollar.
00:01:39.000 Birch Gold Group.
00:01:40.000 It's the company I recommend to buy gold and silver from.
00:01:42.000 I buy gold and you should as well.
00:01:44.000 Birch Gold will help you legally convert an eligible IRA or 401k into a precious metals IRA.
00:01:49.000 Or you can just buy gold or silver to lock in your personal safe.
00:01:52.000 Text BEN to 474747.
00:01:54.000 Get a free information kit on diversifying into gold and then call Birch Gold.
00:01:57.000 These guys are the best.
00:01:58.000 That's why I've been endorsing them for years on end at this point.
00:02:01.000 They have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
00:02:03.000 Countless five-star reviews.
00:02:04.000 Give them a call.
00:02:05.000 Get all the information.
00:02:06.000 Ask all of your questions.
00:02:07.000 And then when you're ready to invest, do it with the people over at Birch Gold.
00:02:09.000 Text BEN to 474747 to get started.
00:02:11.000 Text BEN to 474747.
00:02:11.000 Open a precious metals IRA.
00:02:12.000 Secure your savings today again.
00:02:18.000 Text Ben to 474747 to get started.
00:02:23.000 Okay, so, I'm just gonna tell you right up front, I am exhausted.
00:02:25.000 I'm exhausted.
00:02:26.000 We were up super late last night, 12 hours of broadcasting time last night, and this thing is far from done.
00:02:31.000 It is not, it is not over.
00:02:33.000 Okay, this is not over by any stretch of the imagination.
00:02:36.000 So here is the latest.
00:02:38.000 The Trump team, Bill Stepien, Trump's campaign manager, he says that Wisconsin is a tight race and recount territory.
00:02:43.000 It is indeed extremely close.
00:02:45.000 Right now, the vote count in Wisconsin says about 97% in and Joe Biden has a 0.6% lead in Wisconsin.
00:02:56.000 He's up by about 20,000 votes in Wisconsin, and there are apparently still another 100,000 votes still left to be counted in Wisconsin as of this morning.
00:03:03.000 So that is where things stand right now.
00:03:05.000 And then you move on over to Pennsylvania.
00:03:08.000 Trump right now, Pennsylvania is taking its sweet damn time.
00:03:11.000 For all the talk about Florida, by the way, being a Florida man and crazy state, Florida worked beautifully.
00:03:15.000 Florida reported its vote totals when we were done by early in the evening with Florida.
00:03:18.000 We'll get to Florida in a second because it shows some real pathways forward for the Republican Party In the future and some real shortcomings for the Democratic Party that are quite delicious in a variety of ways.
00:03:27.000 Pennsylvania, Trump right now is up about 10 points in Pennsylvania, which is about 534,000 votes.
00:03:33.000 There's still 1.6 million votes out there to be totaled.
00:03:36.000 Those are supposed to break heavily Democrats.
00:03:38.000 It's going to be extremely close in Pennsylvania.
00:03:41.000 North Carolina, Trump is likely to win Michigan.
00:03:44.000 is really, really close, like separated by 12,000 votes.
00:03:48.000 At this point, Biden up 0.2 points, 0.2.
00:03:51.000 So about half a million votes to be counted in Michigan.
00:03:54.000 Trump looks like he is going to finish off Georgia.
00:03:56.000 So there's a lot of doubt last night as to whether Trump was actually gonna win Georgia.
00:03:58.000 It started off as likely Trump, then it moved to lean Trump, then it moved to toss up.
00:04:02.000 And now it's back to likely Trump at this point.
00:04:05.000 Arizona is a state that is absolutely chaotic.
00:04:07.000 Arizona was called very early on in the night by Fox News.
00:04:10.000 They insisted that they were right.
00:04:12.000 And now there's new information suggesting that maybe there are a bunch of votes outstanding in Arizona.
00:04:17.000 So this is just an absolute mess.
00:04:19.000 It's an absolute mess.
00:04:21.000 Trump campaign Nevada is extremely tight.
00:04:23.000 In fact, Nevada is only about 8,000 to 10,000 votes apart.
00:04:26.000 And Nevada just decided they're not going to announce any new vote totals until tomorrow, which is just, this is all unconscionable.
00:04:30.000 And guys, fix your election systems.
00:04:32.000 Seriously.
00:04:33.000 It doesn't mean that fraud is happening, but fix your damn election systems.
00:04:37.000 So Stepien says, Michigan, they are confident in a pathway that includes the state.
00:04:41.000 Nevada, they're claiming victory possible by 5,500 votes.
00:04:44.000 When they're projecting optimism about Georgia and Pennsylvania as well.
00:04:49.000 So recounts don't, as far as Wisconsin, recounts don't normally reverse 20,000 vote gaps.
00:04:54.000 They don't.
00:04:54.000 Usually it'll shift a couple hundred votes either way.
00:04:57.000 In Florida, for example, George W. Bush and Al Gore, we had months of recounting and it only shifted a couple hundred votes in Al Gore's direction.
00:05:03.000 So shifting tens of thousands of votes on the basis of a recount is fairly unlikely.
00:05:09.000 Trump campaign advisors believe that Arizona might still be in reach for President Trump on the regular count, because they're still counting Election Day voters.
00:05:17.000 So Trump could theoretically win Nevada and Arizona, and that would put him over the top.
00:05:22.000 If Trump takes Nevada and does not win Arizona, but wins Pennsylvania, then he could still be over the top.
00:05:28.000 So this thing is not over yet.
00:05:30.000 And this is putting aside the possibility of lawsuits.
00:05:32.000 This is putting aside the possibility of irregularities being found.
00:05:37.000 So in other words, everything is a mess.
00:05:39.000 Everything is an absolute mess.
00:05:41.000 There are only a few things that are absolutely clear at this point in time.
00:05:44.000 One is that the polls are damned garbage.
00:05:46.000 So, I've been bringing you the polls consistently.
00:05:49.000 I've been bringing you the polls because I don't like operating in the absence of data.
00:05:52.000 My bias in favor of data turns out to be a bias in favor of crap.
00:05:56.000 Because the data here was crap.
00:05:58.000 The data here was garbaggio.
00:06:00.000 And it was really garbaggio on the national level.
00:06:03.000 The final RealClearPolitics polling average spread on this election had Joe Biden up seven points nationally.
00:06:10.000 Seven points nationally.
00:06:12.000 Right now, in the national vote count total, Joe Biden is up by less than two points nationally.
00:06:17.000 Less than two.
00:06:18.000 He's at just over 50, and Trump is at just over 48%.
00:06:22.000 That is not seven points.
00:06:24.000 It is certainly not 10 points.
00:06:25.000 I mean, I'm just gonna read you some of the polls that were being trotted out the day before the election.
00:06:30.000 The Economist YouGov had Biden up 10 points, 10.
00:06:34.000 IBDTIPP had Biden up four, and that was the most optimistic poll for Trump.
00:06:38.000 Reuters had Biden up seven.
00:06:39.000 CNBC had Biden up 10.
00:06:41.000 Quinnipiac had Biden up 11.
00:06:43.000 NBC News Wall Street Journal had Biden up 10.
00:06:45.000 Okay, the gap is two.
00:06:48.000 Two!
00:06:49.000 When you blow it that badly on the national polling, no one should ever trust you again.
00:06:52.000 All these jackasses need to learn to code, like right now.
00:06:55.000 And yeah, incompetence bothers me.
00:06:57.000 It really, really does.
00:06:58.000 Okay, how about the battleground states?
00:07:00.000 So the battleground states were fairly wildly off as well.
00:07:04.000 In the battleground states, in the RealClearPolitics polling average, which was more favorable to Trump than, for example, the 538 polling average, in the RealClearPolitics polling average, they had Trump down in Florida by 0.9.
00:07:15.000 Trump will end up winning that state by 3%, so not particularly close in Florida.
00:07:19.000 Once again, they blew it in Florida.
00:07:21.000 In North Carolina, the RealClearPolitics polling average had Trump up by 0.2.
00:07:26.000 Right now, North Carolina, with 95% reporting, has Trump up by about 2 points, 1.5, 2 points.
00:07:35.000 The RealClearPolitics polling average in Arizona, had Biden winning that stayed slim.
00:07:40.000 It looks like that may hold up.
00:07:43.000 In Wisconsin, here's a massive polling error in Wisconsin.
00:07:45.000 In Wisconsin, the RealClearPolitics polling average had Biden up nearly 7 points in Wisconsin.
00:07:49.000 Nearly 7 in Wisconsin.
00:07:51.000 Right now, Biden is up by less than a point in Wisconsin.
00:07:55.000 He's up by about 20,000 votes total in Wisconsin.
00:07:57.000 That is a 6-point polling error.
00:07:58.000 In Florida, you are looking at a 5-point polling error.
00:08:01.000 In the national numbers, you are looking at a minimum 5-point polling error.
00:08:04.000 In many of these polls, an 8 or 9-point polling error.
00:08:07.000 Polling is chicken and trail reading.
00:08:09.000 These people don't know what the hell they are doing.
00:08:11.000 They don't know how to poll for Trump's coalition.
00:08:13.000 They don't know how to poll people who are not college-educated white people.
00:08:16.000 They don't know how to poll people who are not picking up the phone.
00:08:18.000 All of your questions about polls were totally justified.
00:08:20.000 Now, to be fair to myself, I did say I am skeptical that it is as far apart as the polls were suggesting.
00:08:25.000 And I did say yesterday that Trump could easily win this thing without the polls being totally wrong on the state level.
00:08:30.000 And that's true.
00:08:31.000 All of these margin of error states, many of them remained margin of error.
00:08:35.000 But something is deeply wrong in the polling industry.
00:08:38.000 Something is deeply wrong in our media industry.
00:08:39.000 They were suggesting that Joe Biden could hide in his basement and run away with this thing.
00:08:42.000 This is not a runaway under any circumstances.
00:08:44.000 Not only is it not a runaway, these aren't even the worst polling errors.
00:08:47.000 The worst polling errors are not on the heavily polled Trump-Biden race.
00:08:51.000 The worst polling errors were all of the polling errors in the Senate.
00:08:54.000 There, they just blew it.
00:08:56.000 And I will pat myself on the back for my prediction on the Senate.
00:08:58.000 I did say I thought that Republicans would likely hold the Senate.
00:09:02.000 A mess for pollsters today, an absolute mess.
00:09:04.000 And a big night for Republicans, by the way.
00:09:06.000 If you are a Republican, regardless of how this turns out with Trump, because that's still up in the air and he could still win this thing, depending on how those late votes are counted, depending on whether there are lawsuits, right?
00:09:16.000 This is still very much up in the air.
00:09:17.000 Regardless of that, if you are a Republican or a conservative, you should feel very good moving forward.
00:09:21.000 This was supposed to be a year like 2018, where Democrats walked away with this thing, where it was a blue tidal wave washing away all in its path, where Joe Biden was going to win by 10 points nationally.
00:09:30.000 He was going to carry 350 electoral votes.
00:09:33.000 Where Democrats were going to walk away with the Senate, where they were going to then nuke the filibuster and then use it to cram through states and cram through court packing.
00:09:41.000 None of that's going to happen now.
00:09:42.000 Senator Mitch McConnell is going to be in charge of the Senate majority in all likelihood at this point, which is a devastating blow to the Democrats.
00:09:49.000 And old slow Joe Biden winning what may be the narrowest electoral college victory in American history.
00:09:55.000 If it turns out that Trump wins Georgia and he wins Pennsylvania and Biden wins all of the others, The election gap is something like 270 to 268.
00:10:03.000 Okay, that is as close as it is possible to get.
00:10:07.000 Okay, that is not a massive mandate for huge world-beating change.
00:10:13.000 And Joe Biden is old and doddering, and Joe Biden can't hold a thought in his head, and he's going to face a fractious coalition.
00:10:17.000 So if you're a conservative, regardless of what happens going forward, if you just stop time at this moment before we even know what happens in the presidential race, last night was a very, very good night for Republicans and demonstrates full scale that our media are garbage and need to be replaced forthwith.
00:10:30.000 Like, need to be fully replaced with?
00:10:32.000 We'll get to more of that in just one second.
00:10:34.000 First, you've heard me talk about how important it is to have a VPN.
00:10:38.000 Now that a lot of you are working from home, it's even more important to choose a VPN you trust.
00:10:41.000 Now, I like to do research on my sponsors.
00:10:43.000 I only recommend brands to my listeners I believe in and use myself, generally speaking.
00:10:47.000 I can say with full confidence, ExpressVPN is the best VPN on the market.
00:10:50.000 Here's why.
00:10:51.000 Number one, ExpressVPN doesn't log your data.
00:10:53.000 Lots of really cheap or free VPNs make money by selling your data to ad companies.
00:10:56.000 ExpressVPN developed a technology called Trusted Server that makes it impossible for their servers to log any of your info.
00:11:02.000 Number two.
00:11:03.000 Speed.
00:11:03.000 I've tried a lot of VPNs in the past.
00:11:05.000 Many slow your connection down or make your device sluggish.
00:11:07.000 I've been using ExpressVPN for a long time, and my internet speeds are blazing fast, which is necessary.
00:11:11.000 I run an internet company.
00:11:12.000 Something else that really sets ExpressVPN apart.
00:11:15.000 It's easy to use.
00:11:16.000 Unlike other VPNs, you don't have to input or program anything.
00:11:18.000 You just fire up that app, you click one button, and you now connect.
00:11:20.000 It is so easy, even your grandparents can use it.
00:11:22.000 So, go protect yourself right now with the VPN I use and trust.
00:11:26.000 Use my link at expressvpn.com slash ben today.
00:11:28.000 Get an extra three months free on a one-year package.
00:11:30.000 That's expressvpn.com slash ben.
00:11:32.000 Once more, e-x-p-r-e-s-s-vpn.com slash ben to make sure that your internet activity is protected.
00:11:39.000 Expressvpn.com slash ben.
00:11:40.000 Use that slash ben, get an extra three months free on a one-year package.
00:11:44.000 Okay, so how badly were the pollsters off on the Senate?
00:11:49.000 They were even worse than they were with regard to the to the Republican and Democratic presidential contest.
00:11:56.000 On the Senate, we were assured that Cal Cunningham was going to win in North Carolina.
00:11:59.000 He did not.
00:12:00.000 We were told that South Carolina was a toss-up.
00:12:03.000 We were told that South Carolina was a toss-up.
00:12:05.000 Not only was it not a toss-up, Lindsey Graham blew out, blew out his opponent in that race by leaps and bounds.
00:12:14.000 Like, 13-point blowout.
00:12:16.000 Huge, huge blowout.
00:12:18.000 We were told that Amy McGrath versus Senator Mitch McConnell, that that was a somewhat competitive race.
00:12:24.000 Not even close.
00:12:26.000 Not even remotely close.
00:12:27.000 Mitch McConnell blew them out.
00:12:29.000 Blew them out.
00:12:30.000 The fact is, Democrats spent $200 million trying to oust Tom Tillis in North Carolina.
00:12:38.000 I'm sorry, not even tell us.
00:12:39.000 They spent $200 million trying to oust Lindsey Graham in South Carolina and Mitch McConnell in Kentucky, and they got blown the F out in both of those races.
00:12:48.000 And the pollsters were telling us that both were competitive, particularly that South Carolina race.
00:12:53.000 Republicans pulled out the victory in Iowa.
00:12:55.000 That was supposed to be a Democratic victory for most of the race.
00:12:59.000 Republicans pulled out the victory in Montana.
00:13:01.000 Republicans pulled out the victory in North Carolina.
00:13:03.000 That was supposed to be a Democratic win.
00:13:04.000 Republicans are going to win both of the seats in Georgia.
00:13:07.000 Okay, Republicans are going to lose that seat in all likelihood.
00:13:10.000 They're going to lose Cory Gardner in Colorado.
00:13:10.000 Martha McSally in Arizona.
00:13:12.000 If that's what you got for your Lincoln Project grift money gang, well, good luck to you.
00:13:17.000 The AP reports, hopes fading for Senate control, Democrats had a disappointing election night as Republicans swatted down an onslaught of challengers and fought to retain their fragile majority.
00:13:25.000 It was a jarring outcome for Democrats, words that you love to hear, who had devised an expanded political map eager to provide a backstop against President Trump and his party's grip on the Senate.
00:13:33.000 The races attracted an unprecedented outpouring of small-dollar donations from Americans apparently voting with their pocketbooks to propel long-shot challenges.
00:13:41.000 However, they lost a seat in Alabama, and then Republicans held their own in one race after another.
00:13:45.000 South Carolina, Iowa, Texas, Kansas, and Montana.
00:13:49.000 Lindsey Graham tweeted out, you wasted a lot of money.
00:13:52.000 He said this is the worst return on investment in the history of American politics because he defeated Jamie Harrison by double digits after they dumped $100 million into that campaign.
00:14:02.000 It looks very much as though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stays the Senate Majority Leader.
00:14:06.000 John Cornyn in Texas retains his seat.
00:14:08.000 Joni Ernst defeats Theresa Greenfield.
00:14:10.000 That was seen as a toss-up.
00:14:12.000 It looks like in Maine, Susan Collins is going to retain her seat.
00:14:15.000 In fact, Susan Collins was dancing over the course of the evening because Republicans held her seat.
00:14:20.000 Here was Susan Collins getting jiggy with it, last night in Maine.
00:14:24.000 I mean, I'm not a huge Susan Collins fan, but I will say that Susan Collins holding that seat is a massive, massive thing.
00:14:34.000 There's a big difference between a 50-50 Senate in which Kamala Harris casts the deciding vote if indeed Biden pulls out the election, and a Republican majority in the Senate.
00:14:44.000 So, this is...
00:14:46.000 This is all good news for Republicans.
00:14:47.000 Very, very good news for Republicans.
00:14:49.000 And Republicans, based on the supposed data, had no right to expect any of that good news to materialize.
00:14:54.000 Progressive candidates got skunked throughout the country.
00:14:54.000 Not just that.
00:14:58.000 So in heavy blue districts, they won, right?
00:14:59.000 AOC won re-election.
00:15:00.000 That is not a shock.
00:15:01.000 The Honorable Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Democrat of Twitch, of course she was going to win re-election.
00:15:04.000 She's in a D plus 1 million district.
00:15:07.000 But there are a bunch of progressive House candidates who are badly lagging in closely contested races, according to Josh Krauschauer over at National Journal.
00:15:15.000 He cites four separate races in which members of the Justice Democrats, or at least adjunct members, lost their races last night.
00:15:22.000 It turns out Americans are just not all that interested in that kind of garbage outside of Brooklyn.
00:15:28.000 So, Republicans are going to pick up somewhere in all likelihood between five and ten House seats.
00:15:32.000 Republicans are going to retain the Senate.
00:15:34.000 Which brings us back to the presidential race itself.
00:15:37.000 So the pollsters got this thing wildly wrong.
00:15:39.000 Why did they get it wildly wrong?
00:15:40.000 Because they literally don't understand Trump's coalition.
00:15:43.000 Because nobody really understands Trump's coalition.
00:15:45.000 So I'm going to give you some exit poll numbers.
00:15:47.000 These are astonishing.
00:15:48.000 Truly astonishing.
00:15:50.000 Because they do not fit the Democratic narrative at all.
00:15:53.000 One iota.
00:15:54.000 If one narrative should have died a gruesome death last night, it was the narrative of the woke.
00:15:59.000 It was the narrative of the woke scolds.
00:16:01.000 That simply shouting racist at everybody means that you're going to be able to create A really durable minority coalition to defeat the supposed racist, white, silent majority.
00:16:12.000 That narrative bit the dust last night, and it bit it incredibly hard.
00:16:15.000 The media bit the dust last night.
00:16:17.000 They spent four years declaring that Donald Trump is an abject racist, that he's a bigot, that anybody who votes for him is a racist and a bigot.
00:16:24.000 And Americans not only showed up en masse to vote for President Trump, I mean, in huge, huge numbers.
00:16:29.000 This is the biggest turnout year in American politics since 1900.
00:16:29.000 It was a record turnout year.
00:16:32.000 And normally you would think, right, because of that conventional wisdom mythos, that big turnout helps Democrats.
00:16:39.000 It did not last night.
00:16:40.000 It was a huge turnout year.
00:16:41.000 And guess what?
00:16:42.000 Even if Joe Biden wins, it's going to be by the thinnest of hairs, by the thinnest of hairs on that balding pate, he's going to win the election if he wins at all.
00:16:50.000 That is where things Currently stand.
00:16:52.000 And what's amazing is the coalition that Trump put together here.
00:16:55.000 Trump's coalition is the future of the Republican Party.
00:16:58.000 Trump's coalition is fascinating.
00:17:00.000 It's fascinating because what we are watching is a rebuke to the woke mentality that demography is destiny, that demographics are destiny, that all you have to do is call Republicans racist and you can cobble together a huge super majority of Hispanics and blacks and Asians, and then you can just replicate the Obama coalition once again.
00:17:18.000 The Obama coalition only works for Barack Obama because Barack Obama was a unique candidate.
00:17:22.000 He was the outlier.
00:17:24.000 Barack Obama is not the new Democratic Party.
00:17:26.000 Barack Obama is not the future pathway for the Democratic Party.
00:17:30.000 Barack Obama was a unique candidate at a unique time.
00:17:33.000 The reality, I mean, these exit poll numbers are going to blow your mind.
00:17:36.000 While Democrats continue to maintain that it's just that half of Americans are racist, that's why Trump did so well last night, regardless of final outcome.
00:17:43.000 While they maintain that, the reality is far different.
00:17:46.000 If Trump loses, it's going to be because he lost a share of white men.
00:17:51.000 Not kidding.
00:17:52.000 Not kidding.
00:17:53.000 These exit poll numbers are a ringing rebuke to everybody in the media who thought that they had any fix on this election because after 2016, they said, oh, well, you know, maybe we'll go out into the stakes and we'll talk to some of these Trump supporters.
00:18:03.000 And it was though they were Steve Irwin exploring the wilds.
00:18:06.000 And it turns out they didn't understand Trump supporters.
00:18:08.000 They didn't understand nearly anything about how politics works in the country.
00:18:12.000 They intellectualized their way into believing that if they went with the intersectional coalition, it was going to carry them to victory.
00:18:17.000 And it absolutely did not.
00:18:18.000 It was a horrible night for intersectionality last night.
00:18:21.000 It was a horrible night for the woke, which is a great night for the country.
00:18:24.000 We're gonna get some more of that in just one second.
00:18:26.000 First, let us talk about a good night's rest.
00:18:28.000 So, needless to say, I did not get much rest last night.
00:18:31.000 There are two reasons for that.
00:18:32.000 One, there was an election last night, and that was really damn stressful, and it is still very, very stressful.
00:18:37.000 Two, I wasn't in my bed.
00:18:39.000 I wasn't in my Helix Sleep bed.
00:18:41.000 I need my Helix Sleep mattress, because it was made for me.

00:19:31.000 All righty, so here are some of the numbers from the exit polls.
00:19:34.000 And again, these are absolutely stunning.
00:19:36.000 These are astonishing numbers from the exit polls.
00:19:38.000 So Trump won men, this is the New York Times exit polling.
00:19:41.000 Trump won men 49, 48.
00:19:43.000 He lost women by 13.
00:19:44.000 Okay, that was perfectly predictable.
00:19:46.000 That was the only predictable part of the night.
00:19:48.000 He won 57% of the white vote versus 42% for Joe Biden.
00:19:53.000 Among black Americans, there was some early data that suggested that he may have won in places like Florida up to 14 or 15% of the black vote.
00:20:01.000 Even by the New York Times estimate, he won 12% of the black vote.
00:20:05.000 Last time around, he won, I believe, 7% of the black vote.
00:20:07.000 So he radically improved his showing among black Americans.
00:20:11.000 He radically improved his showing among Hispanic Americans.
00:20:13.000 He won 32% of the Hispanic vote.
00:20:16.000 He won 31% of the Asian vote.
00:20:21.000 These are not numbers that the media were even close to expecting.
00:20:25.000 He improved his share with black men, black women.
00:20:29.000 He improved his share With elderly Americans.
00:20:33.000 I'm sorry, he didn't improve his share with elderly Americans, but he held them.
00:20:37.000 He improved his share with virtually every demographic subgroup in the United States with the exception of white men.
00:20:42.000 I'm not joking, that is a thing that happened last night.
00:20:45.000 Okay, and maybe what that says is that Americans want to be campaigned to as individuals.
00:20:48.000 See, here's the thing about Trump.
00:20:49.000 He cuts through this group identity crap because everybody has an individual opinion of Donald Trump.
00:20:54.000 Nobody has the image of Donald Trump that is written on the wall by the media about Trump.
00:21:00.000 I've been very critical of Trump's use of Twitter.
00:21:02.000 I'm very critical of some of the things that I think Trump has said that are wrong.
00:21:06.000 But it is absolutely true that he has a unique connection with American voters because he is so prominent, because everybody knew who Donald Trump was before he ran.
00:21:13.000 It made it very difficult for the media ever to box him in or paint him as exactly what they wanted him to be.
00:21:18.000 And this is reflected in a lot of these exit polling results.
00:21:22.000 I mean, these people should feel astonished by this.
00:21:26.000 They should feel shocked by this and they should feel really optimistic about all of this because what this means is that the demographic stranglehold that we were told Democrats have on Hispanic voters does not exist.
00:21:37.000 The democratic stranglehold that supposedly had on black voters, that has been wildly overrated.
00:21:44.000 These exit polls are evidence that Republicans can in fact make head, that they can make ground With particular demographic groups that supposedly they had forgotten about.
00:21:55.000 I mean, this is this is amazing, amazing stuff.
00:21:56.000 And it came from Donald Trump, right?
00:21:58.000 The guy who they were calling a wild racist for years on end.
00:22:02.000 There are a lot of folks on the right.
00:22:03.000 Mary Catherine Ham had a good tweet last night.
00:22:05.000 She said, I always thought Republicans could put together a multiracial coalition.
00:22:08.000 I just didn't think Trump would be the one to do it.
00:22:10.000 But in many ways, he was the one to do it, specifically because he is Donald Trump, and because people have very specific opinions on him as a human being, and he cannot simply be mocked up as generic Republican racist by Democrats.
00:22:23.000 Here is Matt Bruning of People Policy Project.
00:22:28.000 He got a hold of some Edison exit polling.
00:22:30.000 Here's what it showed.
00:22:32.000 It showed that Trump's share of support among white men dipped 5%.
00:22:36.000 Among white women, it increased by 2%.
00:22:39.000 Among black men, it increased by 4%.
00:22:41.000 Among black women, it increased by 4%.
00:22:44.000 According to the exit polling from Edison, Trump won 17% of black men.
00:22:49.000 17% of black men!
00:22:51.000 If you had told me before the election that Trump won 17% of black men and 35% of Latino men, You'd think, okay, this guy wins a clear re-elect victory.
00:23:00.000 He just lost a little bit in the white male category, and that's a very, very large category in the United States.
00:23:06.000 So he made headway with Latino men, with Latino women, with black men, with black women, with other, so that would include Asian Americans, and 36% of the vote with the other group in the United States.
00:23:17.000 That is an amazing, amazing, and that bodes so well for the future of the country.
00:23:20.000 Honestly, that's the thing that makes me most optimistic from last night.
00:23:23.000 Because what that says is that the intersectional bullcrap that we have all been fed, that we ought to think of each other in terms of group identity, it is a lie.
00:23:30.000 It is a lie.
00:23:31.000 And you can fight back against that lie.
00:23:32.000 And Donald Trump deserves full credit for fighting back against that lie, for not caving to the lie that he is a racist.
00:23:37.000 For not caving to the idea that he has to be defined by the media.
00:23:40.000 For not accepting the premise of all of their questions that America is a racist and terrible place.
00:23:45.000 That you can win minority voters while saying that America is a wonderful place that is not a Black Lives Matter hellscape.
00:23:53.000 That is an amazing, amazing thing.
00:23:54.000 And it bodes really well for the future of the Republican Party.
00:23:57.000 I want to point out specifically in just one second What happened last night in Florida because Florida is the future of the Republican Party.
00:24:04.000 My new home state.
00:24:05.000 Wonderful, wonderful state.
00:24:07.000 We'll talk about that in just one second.
00:24:08.000 First, let us talk about getting in shape.
00:24:10.000 So over the course of this pandemic, a lot of people gained some weight because you're home a lot.
00:24:15.000 And that meant some stress eating and all the rest.
00:24:17.000 Well, One thing you have to change if you actually want to change weight is your habits.
00:24:20.000 It really isn't so much about diets because people go on diets and then they go off diets.
00:24:24.000 It really is about changing how you think about health, how you think about exercise, how you think about what kind of food you put in your body.
00:24:30.000 And this is where Noom comes in.

00:25:24.000 OK, so Florida is it was a source of early excitement for Republicans last night as well.
00:25:31.000 It should have been.
00:25:32.000 Trump cultivated the Latino vote in Florida and it paid off, reported NBC News last night.
00:25:36.000 Around 55% of Florida's Cuban-American vote went to Trump, according to NBC News exit polls.
00:25:41.000 30% of Puerto Ricans, 48% of other Latinos backed Trump.
00:25:46.000 Trump won the state going away.
00:25:47.000 He drastically improved his support in Miami-Dade County.
00:25:50.000 He went from 334,000 votes in 2016 to at least 529,000 votes in Miami-Dade County.
00:25:51.000 votes in 2016 to at least 529,000 votes in Miami-Dade County, Biden did not grow Democratic support in the county.
00:25:59.000 In other words, Trump went places that people had not gone.
00:26:03.000 He went to Democratic counties, and he stumped for votes, and he got those votes.
00:26:07.000 And all credit to my security guy in Florida, who happens to be of Latino extraction.
00:26:11.000 He said, you're going to be shocked by the amount of turnout that you see for Donald Trump.
00:26:14.000 And he was absolutely right.
00:26:16.000 It's one of the reasons why I've been saying for a couple of weeks now that I think Trump is going to win Florida.
00:26:20.000 Trump's popularity meant that other House Democrats fell.
00:26:24.000 Representative Debbie McCassell-Powell is the first South American-born member of Congress.
00:26:31.000 She was trailing Carlos Gimenez, the Miami-Dade mayor, in her congressional race.
00:26:34.000 And Representative Donna Shalala is out, trailing TV host and commentator Maria Elvira Salazar.
00:26:41.000 This is largely because Democrats have embraced the mantle of socialism.
00:26:45.000 And it turns out when you embrace the mantle of socialism and you are attempting to gain ground with crowds who have come from socialist countries, you know who doesn't like socialism?
00:26:52.000 Everybody who's ever lived in a socialist country.
00:26:54.000 You know who loves socialism?
00:26:55.000 A bunch of white people who don't live in socialist countries.
00:26:58.000 That's the message of what happened in Florida.
00:27:00.000 Trump outperformed with Latinos in Florida by a huge, huge margin.
00:27:04.000 Meanwhile, Apparently, Donald Trump also outperformed the Jews in Florida.
00:27:09.000 He won about 41% of the Jews in Florida, which makes a lot of sense.
00:27:12.000 He's the most pro-Israel president in American history, bar none.
00:27:14.000 Okay, that is a, that's an amazing showing, right?
00:27:19.000 And that is largely because the Jewish population in Florida is either old enough that they are sort of traditional, Jewishly, and still care about the state of Israel, or they are Orthodox.
00:27:27.000 A very big Orthodox community in South Florida, which is one of the reasons why I now live in South Florida.
00:27:33.000 So Florida is a good indicator for where the Republican Party is moving going forward.
00:27:38.000 There's a lot of talk last night about building a working class party.
00:27:40.000 It's not just a working class party with multi-ethnic appeal.
00:27:44.000 Here's the thing, by making inroads with Latinos, I mean, there were stats from Texas last night that are absolutely astonishing.
00:27:50.000 The most Latino district in the United States, 96% Latino in Texas.
00:27:55.000 It only went for Biden 52 to 47.
00:27:56.000 52 to 47.
00:27:59.000 Those are heavy inroads into a new demographic that Republicans have been told you can only win if you cater to them on illegal immigration and amnesty.
00:28:06.000 And it turns out that's not true because the vast majority, every single Latino who is voting in the United States right now is legally in the United States because you have to be in order to vote.
00:28:14.000 So it turns out all you have to do is go and talk to people.
00:28:17.000 And Trump does talk to people.
00:28:18.000 He talks to them directly.
00:28:19.000 That is a major victory for Trump, and it's a lesson for any Republican going forward.
00:28:24.000 That is a very, very positive time for the Republican Party going forward.
00:28:27.000 And here's the thing.
00:28:28.000 If Trump was disproportionately bad with white college-educated folks that Mitt Romney won in 2012, imagine if you could capture the share that Mitt Romney won of white suburban women in 2012 and combine that with the share that Donald Trump is winning of black and Latino voters in 2020.
00:28:43.000 That is a majority party and that is a clear majority party.
00:28:46.000 That's an amazing, amazing thing.
00:28:49.000 So good on Donald Trump and good on the American people for spitting in the eye of the woke.
00:28:54.000 Now, naturally, was this a lesson for the media, who really believed that they got to declare the outcome of the election three weeks in advance, four weeks in advance?
00:29:04.000 The media, who declared for years that Donald Trump was an illegitimate president, that people hated him so much, there was no way, no way he would even be competitive in this election.
00:29:12.000 Republicans were going to get absolutely hammered, swamped.
00:29:14.000 There was going to be a hurricane that blew them away.
00:29:17.000 Were the media repentant last night?
00:29:19.000 Of course the media weren't repentant last night.
00:29:21.000 Are you kidding?
00:29:21.000 The media weren't repentant.
00:29:22.000 Not for one iota of a second.
00:29:24.000 The Daily Show's reaction to Trump winning Florida is they put out a meme of the Death Star blowing up Florida.
00:29:31.000 Here's what that sounded like.
00:29:36.000 And you see the Death Star blowing up the state of Florida.
00:29:38.000 They said, can we do this?
00:29:39.000 Blow up Florida.
00:29:41.000 Now, just put that out there.
00:29:43.000 When Ted Cruz suggested that there's a difference between New York values and Texas values, he was accused of anti-Semitism by the left.
00:29:50.000 He was accused of being a bigot by the left.
00:29:52.000 The Daily Show just puts out there that we should nuke Florida, basically, because you don't like Florida.
00:29:56.000 And that's supposed to be funny.
00:29:57.000 That's supposed to be good, funny stuff.
00:29:58.000 Yeah, keep it going, guys.
00:29:59.000 More of this.
00:30:00.000 More of this.
00:30:01.000 Because here's the really deep down and dirty truth about Trump and his level of support.
00:30:05.000 Because people like me, I didn't vote for him in 2016.
00:30:07.000 I voted for him in Florida in 2020.
00:30:10.000 And I'll tell you why.
00:30:11.000 The reason I voted for Donald Trump, maybe above all others, is because what Donald Trump, he said many things that I think are not true.
00:30:16.000 He said one thing that is the most true thing that he's ever said, which is they don't hate you because they hate Donald Trump.
00:30:22.000 They hate Donald Trump because they hate you.
00:30:25.000 Hey, they hate you.
00:30:26.000 If you voted for Donald Trump, they hate you.
00:30:28.000 If you think that the woke left is bad, they hate you.
00:30:31.000 They're willing to destroy you.
00:30:32.000 They're willing to destroy your life.
00:30:34.000 They're willing to use cancel culture to come after your job.
00:30:36.000 They're willing to ostracize you from every social situation and declare you an unmentionable.
00:30:41.000 That is what they think of you.
00:30:42.000 They think that if you voted for Donald Trump, you deserve to be nuked.
00:30:45.000 That's the way it is.
00:30:47.000 And it's because of that that so many people are saying, you know what?
00:30:49.000 I'm not going to listen to you.
00:30:50.000 I'm not having that conversation with you because you're not reasonable.
00:30:53.000 You're not rational.
00:30:54.000 And so the media, is there going to be a reckoning in the media?
00:30:57.000 I highly doubt it.
00:30:58.000 I don't think there's going to be a reckoning in the media, not for one second.
00:31:00.000 They've already decided which direction they're going to move.
00:31:03.000 They're not going to abandon their anti-racist Imbermex, Kendi Robbins, D'Angelo Grift.
00:31:08.000 They're not going to give that up anytime soon.
00:31:09.000 They're going to keep pushing on that.
00:31:10.000 They're going to keep portraying everyone who disagrees with them as racist because they have only one mode.
00:31:15.000 They're pop star, never stop, never stopping.
00:31:17.000 They're never going to stop with this sort of thing.
00:31:20.000 So whether Donald Trump wins or loses, they've painted themselves in a corner.
00:31:24.000 Because, guess what?
00:31:26.000 The reason the Democrats did so badly last night is due to two factors.
00:31:29.000 One, Donald Trump has a unique connection with folks.
00:31:31.000 And two, one of the reasons that Donald Trump has a unique connection with folks is because the left is egregious and horrifying.
00:31:37.000 Because the woke left is egregious and horrifying and terrible in every way.
00:31:41.000 And they demonstrated at full scale with a lot of their reactions to what was going on last night, particularly on a racial level.
00:31:47.000 We'll get to that in just one second.
00:31:49.000 First, let's talk about how male pattern baldness, if it runs in your family, you need to protect your hair.

00:33:49.000 She is moving with us to Nashville.
00:33:50.000 She's also going to be writing content for us over at dailywire.com.

00:34:32.000 What we're doing is making a difference, and we have big plans.

00:34:45.000 25% off with code election when you sign up today.
00:34:47.000 Also, while you're at it, you may have noticed that these battles for the future of the country are very much pitched.
00:34:53.000 I mean, these are very contested battles.
00:34:55.000 If you want your kids to know about why America is great, if you want to know why there are people attacking the greatness of America, pick up a copy of my book, How to Destroy America, in three easy steps.
00:35:03.000 It is worth the read.
00:35:04.000 It is more relevant today than it even was yesterday because this battle is not going to end.
00:35:08.000 America is on a knife's edge.
00:35:09.000 It's going to remain on a knife's edge so long as Americans don't understand the roots of their own values.
00:35:14.000 It's time for them to be reacquainted.
00:35:15.000 Go pick up a copy of my book, How to Destroy America, in three easy steps right now.
00:35:18.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:35:22.000 Alrighty, so the amount of scorn that the media have, I don't think that ends.
00:35:32.000 So there's a lot of talk after 2016 about how we're going to go out, we're going to investigate the Trump voter.
00:35:36.000 And then within five minutes, they were like, you know what?
00:35:37.000 It's easier just to call Trump a racist.
00:35:39.000 It's easier just to follow what he does on Twitter and call him a racist.
00:35:42.000 And you know what?
00:35:42.000 That had no impact.
00:35:43.000 None.
00:35:45.000 Not only none, less than none.
00:35:47.000 Because Trump did pick up votes.
00:35:49.000 He did.
00:35:50.000 He's going to win a broader share of the electorate this time around than he did last time around.
00:35:54.000 And whether or not he ends up winning the election, And if you think that Democrats are simply going to abandon their woke priorities, you have another think coming.
00:36:05.000 They're not.
00:36:06.000 I just have no faith that they are going to give up on the wokeness culture that they have promulgated here.
00:36:11.000 Nicole Hannah-Jones tweeted last night in the aftermath of Florida, which again, Florida was a devastating rebuttal to the entire intersectional philosophy, Latinos voting in outsized numbers for Donald Trump, 55% of Cubans voting for Trump, a huge percentage of Latinos generally across the country voting for Trump.
00:36:27.000 Hispanic women, he picked up Hispanic men, he picked up black men, he picked up black women.
00:36:31.000 All of those numbers were up.
00:36:32.000 So naturally, Nikole Hannah-Jones, the in-house racist at the New York Times, tweeted out, One day after this election is over, I'm going to write a piece about how Latino is a contrived ethnic category that artificially lumps white Cubans with black Puerto Ricans and indigenous Guatemalans and helps explain why Latinos support Trump at the second highest rate.
00:36:48.000 Ah, so you see, you're not truly Latino unless you vote for Democrats, according to Nikole Hannah-Jones, just as you're not truly black if you don't vote for Democrats, according to The racism is not going to stop.
00:36:58.000 They cannot give up on this narrative because they believe it is still their pathway to power.
00:37:02.000 They don't want to make the arguments on behalf of their own policies.
00:37:04.000 Their policies are not popular.
00:37:05.000 So they are going to continue to rely on this character assassination of everybody who disagrees.
00:37:09.000 So now, according to Nikole Hanna-Jones, Cubans are white.
00:37:12.000 Did you know that?
00:37:13.000 Cubans are white now.
00:37:14.000 Why?
00:37:14.000 Because they voted Republican.
00:37:16.000 And presumably, as an increasing share of Venezuelans vote Republican, they too will become white.
00:37:21.000 And the only people who will not be white are the people who vote Nicole Hannah-Jones wants them to vote.
00:37:25.000 Because in Nicole Hannah-Jones' world, the way that she uses white as a stand-in for evil.
00:37:31.000 And therefore, if you are a Cuban and you voted for Trump, you are evil, thus you are white.
00:37:35.000 This is pure, unbridled racism.
00:37:38.000 That's the lady who founded the 1619 Project and is the de facto editor of the New York Times.
00:37:42.000 She wasn't the only person to say nonsense like this.
00:37:46.000 There was a person last night named Andrea Pino Silva, who is a movement scholar, author, and queer Cubana.
00:37:54.000 She tweeted out, the Cuban vote is not the Latino vote.
00:37:57.000 Cubans have been sold the narrative that they have a guaranteed path to whiteness and many will sell out every other minority to get it.
00:38:02.000 Trump's appeal is the appeal of white supremacy.
00:38:05.000 Doesn't matter he won an increased share of black voters.
00:38:07.000 Doesn't matter he won an increased share of Latino voters.
00:38:10.000 None of that matters.
00:38:10.000 The only thing that matters is that if you voted for Trump, it is because you are a, it is because you are a Vicious, brutal, racist.
00:38:19.000 Al Sharpton, another vicious racist who has a slot over at MSNBC, he said this last night.
00:38:23.000 He said the Cuban voters are just stupid.
00:38:25.000 That's what happened.
00:38:26.000 Cuban voters bought the socialist propaganda that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were socialist.
00:38:30.000 Okay, well, it turns out that they bought into it because Democrats have embraced that label.
00:38:35.000 Bernie Sanders calls himself a socialist.
00:38:37.000 Democrats call themselves progressives, which in many South and Latin American countries is a synonym for socialist.
00:38:46.000 That is their fault.
00:38:47.000 But here's Al Sharpton pretending that Cubans are just stupid.
00:38:49.000 That's why they're voting for Trump.
00:38:52.000 We don't have the same dynamics that we have in Florida where you have like in Miami-Dade, I think it was Joy pointing out, a large Cuban influence in terms of Cuban voters who look more to the propaganda that we're dealing with socialism and all that offset a large black turnout.
00:39:11.000 OK, so again, it's all about it's all about the supposed whiteness problem.
00:39:16.000 And Arne Duncan, The former education secretary under Barack Obama, he tweeted out last night, we should stop talking about red and blue.
00:39:21.000 We should start talking about whiteness.
00:39:23.000 They're not going to let go of this.
00:39:24.000 Not in any way, shape or form.
00:39:25.000 So if you think your media are going to suddenly learn a lesson, wrong you are.
00:39:29.000 The same media who have been lying to you.
00:39:30.000 And honestly, I don't know how to read the polls being this wrong nationally, except that these people either are in such a deep bubble that they have internalized their own inability to poll Trump voters and then pretended that they live in a universe of their own making, or This was a lot of push polling, right?
00:39:46.000 There's a lot of polling that was designed to disintegrate Trump support, particularly in battleground states, by saying that states like Wisconsin and Michigan were out of reach.
00:39:54.000 But the media are not going to shift their story.
00:39:57.000 The media have a narrative.
00:39:58.000 The media have an agenda.
00:40:00.000 And we need to replace them.
00:40:01.000 The media were worth A minimum of 5 to 10 points for Joe Biden in this election.
00:40:06.000 If it were not for the media, that is a minimum.
00:40:08.000 If it were not for the media, if the media had covered Donald Trump honestly, if the media had covered politics honestly, if the media weren't damned liars in pursuit of an agenda, Donald Trump would have won easily last night.
00:40:18.000 Easily.
00:40:18.000 Because even if Donald Trump loses, we're going to be talking about Donald Trump losing by a combined total of probably under 100,000 votes in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona.
00:40:28.000 And Nevada.
00:40:29.000 Right?
00:40:29.000 This is, it's an extraordinarily close election.
00:40:33.000 The media sort of let the cat out of the... It's fun to watch the media rewrite the narrative in real time.
00:40:36.000 So it was a bad night for the media last night.
00:40:38.000 You could see they were downcast about all of this.
00:40:40.000 Obviously, the most fun person to watch was Cenk Iger over at the Young Turks.
00:40:43.000 He just lost it.
00:40:44.000 Cenk Iger.
00:40:45.000 Now, to be fair, Cenk is an opinion host.
00:40:47.000 He is not an objective journalist.
00:40:49.000 We'll get to our objective journalism-ing friends.
00:40:50.000 We're journalism-ing all over the place.
00:40:52.000 The journalism was hot and sticky last night all over CNN and MSNBC.
00:40:55.000 But we would be remiss if we did not play Cenk losing his mind last night.
00:41:00.000 Forget him being a racist, forget him being a fascist.
00:41:04.000 The guy's IQ is lower than 70.
00:41:06.000 He's an idiot.
00:41:08.000 He's a total moron, and you couldn't figure out how to crush him in an election?
00:41:13.000 Man, the corporate Democrats and the mainstream media suck at this.
00:41:17.000 They absolutely positively suck, and they brainwash smart people into compliance.
00:41:25.000 Okay, so he's right about the mainstream media brainwashing people into compliance.
00:41:29.000 He's just hilariously wrong about the idea that if the Democrats attacked way to the left, they would have done better in this election.
00:41:35.000 The only reason that they were even competitive in this election is they ran a dead man who was a vessel for all anti-Trump sentiment in the country.
00:41:42.000 Imagine how bad this would have been.
00:41:43.000 If Bernie Sanders had won, Trump wins going away, right?
00:41:46.000 I mean, given these results, if Bernie Sanders had been on the ballot, this thing is over early in the night for Trump.
00:41:52.000 Okay, but let's go to the objective media.
00:41:53.000 So watch as the narrative shifted last night in the objective media.
00:41:56.000 So Jake Tapper on CNN said, a Biden blowout was always a pipe dream.
00:41:59.000 Was it though?
00:42:00.000 Because I'm old enough to remember, because I'm more than one day old, when the entire media was declaring that there was a 90% shot that Biden was going to win because he was going to blow out Trump, right?
00:42:08.000 That the national polling was showing that he was up seven to 10 points.
00:42:11.000 So here is Jake Tapper now rewriting the story so that a Biden blowout was apparently always a pipe dream.
00:42:18.000 The Biden people, we should say, have not conceded any Florida or Georgia or North Carolina.
00:42:23.000 And they feel very good.
00:42:25.000 They still feel good about North Carolina.
00:42:26.000 They still feel very positive about Arizona and the blue wall.
00:42:31.000 But it's just not going to be as some Democrats were hoping for.
00:42:35.000 They thought it was going to be an early landslide, which was really always a pipe dream.
00:42:40.000 Okay, well, why was that a pipe dream?
00:42:42.000 I mean, seriously, we were told that that was actually not a pipe dream.
00:42:44.000 That was a heavy possibility by many members of the media.
00:42:48.000 Not Jake specifically, I assume, but many, many members of the media were saying that it was a foregone conclusion that Biden was going to blow out Trump.
00:42:54.000 Trump was going to lose North Carolina, he was going to lose Florida, he was going to lose them early, and the night was going to be over by 7 p.m.
00:42:59.000 Pacific time.
00:43:00.000 Brian Williams let the cat out of the bag.
00:43:01.000 He was like, yeah, the numbers so far have been frustrating for our viewers.
00:43:03.000 Yeah, you're damn right they're frustrating for your viewers because they're a bunch of liberal partisans.
00:43:08.000 We are coming up onto the top of the hour.
00:43:11.000 We are at the point where there's not many poll closings left, but there are a few, particularly as we get to the West Coast, and there are a number of states left to call.
00:43:20.000 And boy, does some of the numbers start to add up as we get late in the night, however frustrating this night is for many, many of our viewers.
00:43:33.000 Yep, it is very frustrating for many of the MSNBC viewers because it did not go how they wanted.
00:43:37.000 Van Jones was extremely upset last night at the results.
00:43:41.000 He lost it.
00:43:41.000 He says, this just hurts.
00:43:42.000 It just hurts.
00:43:45.000 There's the moral victory and there's a political victory.
00:43:47.000 They're not the same thing.
00:43:48.000 The political victory still may come.
00:43:51.000 I think for people who saw babies being snatched away from their mothers at the border, for people who are sending their kids into schools where the N-word is now being used against them, for people who have seen this wave of intolerance, they wanted a moral victory tonight.
00:44:07.000 We wanted to see a repudiation of this direction for the country.
00:44:12.000 And the fact that it's this close, I think, it hurts.
00:44:15.000 It just hurts.
00:44:17.000 Okay, and it does hurt members of the media because they had a narrative and the media completely imploded on them.
00:44:24.000 In the middle of the night, I will say, it was kind of wonderful to watch George Stephanopoulos enter into an arena of panic.
00:44:28.000 So George Stephanopoulos last night, I began to lose it in the middle of the night.
00:44:31.000 It was kind of funny.
00:44:34.000 It may be a little early to start to play out narratives, but Rahm Emanuel, let's try to do a little bit.
00:44:38.000 This is looking a little bit right now like a replay of 2016.
00:44:41.000 Well, I'm not sure.
00:44:44.000 The problem we have is you have so much early voting and every state is different of when they count that.
00:44:50.000 And so we're looking at counties and you can extrapolate.
00:44:53.000 I mean, you look at how close Ohio is, it's basically 6% right now, better than it was in 2016.
00:44:59.000 But you look at, I think it's still going to come down to Pennsylvania.
00:45:03.000 Okay, and you can see the panic in Democrats' eyes all throughout the evening.
00:45:06.000 Are they going to shift because of this?
00:45:07.000 Because they got this so wrong?
00:45:08.000 There are a lot of tweets this morning from a lot of folks on the center-left about how they need to rethink how they have framed American politics.
00:45:16.000 You think they will?
00:45:18.000 I really, really think not.
00:45:19.000 I really, really think not.
00:45:20.000 I don't think that's going to happen.
00:45:22.000 Okay, so where do things currently stand?
00:45:25.000 So the current update is that Wisconsin Has told NBC News that they are done counting, that Biden has won Wisconsin.
00:45:30.000 Nevada is not done yet.
00:45:32.000 Nevada has Biden up by about 8,000, 10,000 votes, but they're not resuming until tomorrow.
00:45:38.000 Arizona was called for Biden last night, but Republicans keep insisting that Arizona is still open.
00:45:43.000 I've talked to Trump campaign operatives who say that the final count in Arizona is going to be a lot closer than what they are talking about right now, at the very least.
00:45:51.000 Apparently, Biden is up in Michigan right now, but Trump is up in Pennsylvania as well as Georgia.
00:45:57.000 So this thing is still very much up in the air.
00:45:59.000 And that is putting aside any and all legal challenges that could be brought.
00:46:02.000 It's putting aside mandatory recounts in Wisconsin.
00:46:04.000 If they're within margin of error, there's a mandatory recount.
00:46:07.000 All of this is still a mess.
00:46:08.000 So could Trump still win it?
00:46:10.000 Sure.
00:46:10.000 Does he have an uphill path?
00:46:11.000 At this point, he does have an uphill path.
00:46:13.000 It would be nice if he had won Arizona.
00:46:15.000 If he'd won Arizona, then this election would basically be over at this point.
00:46:18.000 If he won Arizona, then he would win Pennsylvania, and then this sucker would be done.
00:46:22.000 So last night, Joe Biden came out and he suggested that they were on track to win the election.
00:46:28.000 Here was Joe Biden's statement.
00:46:29.000 This is very, very late last night.
00:46:31.000 We believe we're on track to win this election.
00:46:34.000 We knew because of the unprecedented early vote in the mail-in vote that's going to take a while.
00:46:46.000 We're going to have to be patient until the hard work of tallying votes is finished.
00:46:52.000 And it ain't over till every vote is counted, every ballot is counted.
00:46:57.000 OK, so there he was saying that he expects that they're going to win.
00:47:00.000 Then President Trump came out last night and he gave a statement.
00:47:03.000 He did a much more a much more comprehensive statement on the on the vote.
00:47:08.000 So first he tweeted out that they were winning big.
00:47:12.000 He said, we are up big, but they are trying to steal the election.
00:47:14.000 We'll never let them do it.
00:47:15.000 Votes cannot be cast after the polls are closed.
00:47:18.000 Presumably there he's talking about Pennsylvania, right?
00:47:20.000 That he says we're up big and they're trying to steal the election.
00:47:23.000 Okay, at the time they were up big in the vote count, right?
00:47:25.000 I mean, that's not false.
00:47:26.000 Doesn't matter.
00:47:27.000 Twitter tried to dispute the tweet and said that it was irresponsible and all the rest.
00:47:31.000 Because this is Twitter's mandate.
00:47:32.000 Twitter is now the arbiter of all truth.
00:47:34.000 What he's talking about there is the Pennsylvania state rules that do not make it clear whether or not you can count a vote that has been cast after election day, even if it has no postmark, right?
00:47:45.000 That is what he's talking about there, presumably.
00:47:46.000 Okay, so last night, Trump comes out and he says, he looks a little bit downcast because I think he wanted to walk away with the victory on the night of, obviously.
00:47:54.000 He says, we're winning Pennsylvania.
00:47:58.000 Most importantly, we're winning Pennsylvania by a tremendous amount of votes.
00:48:03.000 We're up 690,000 votes in Pennsylvania.
00:48:11.000 These aren't even close.
00:48:12.000 It's not like, oh, it's close.
00:48:15.000 With Sixty four percent of the vote in, it's going to be almost impossible to catch.
00:48:23.000 And we're coming into good Pennsylvania areas where they happen to like your president.
00:48:29.000 He said that he said that about that.
00:48:30.000 That analysis of Pennsylvania may very well end up being right.
00:48:33.000 Trump may end up winning Pennsylvania.
00:48:35.000 Then Trump says that in his opinion, they've already won the election, which of course is a step beyond what Biden said.
00:48:41.000 So what Biden said was, I think we're on a path to win the election, which is an opinion.
00:48:45.000 Trump says we did win the election, is an overstatement, right?
00:48:50.000 And he shouldn't say it, right?
00:48:51.000 As the president of the United States, you should wait for the votes to be counted and then declare victory.
00:48:55.000 You shouldn't declare victory in an election where the votes have yet to be counted.
00:48:58.000 So he says two things, as we will see.
00:49:00.000 One of them is not good, and he shouldn't have said it.
00:49:02.000 The other is being wildly misinterpreted by the media for political purposes.
00:49:06.000 So here was President Trump talking about how, in his opinion, the election's already been won by Trump.
00:49:13.000 North Carolina, big victory with North Carolina.
00:49:17.000 And so we won there.
00:49:20.000 We lead by 76,000 votes with almost nothing left.
00:49:26.000 And all of a sudden, everything just stopped.
00:49:29.000 This is a fraud on the American public.
00:49:33.000 This is an embarrassment to our country.
00:49:37.000 We were getting ready to win this election.
00:49:40.000 Frankly, we did win this election.
00:49:43.000 Okay, so that statement that we won the election and there's fraud happening all over the country.
00:49:47.000 See, the responsible statement there is, we have lawyers on the ground in all of these states to ensure that fraud is not going to be the deciding factor in this election.
00:49:55.000 We believe that we're on a pathway to victory.
00:49:56.000 In fact, that's exactly what Mike Pence said one moment later.
00:49:58.000 So, that is something that President Trump should obviously not have said.
00:50:03.000 Then, President Trump said at one point, and I want to find the direct quote because people were taking it out of context.
00:50:09.000 So, President Trump was talking about the vote.
00:50:12.000 And he said, so here's a statement from the Biden campaign manager.
00:50:16.000 Okay.
00:50:16.000 They said the president's statement tonight about trying to shut down the counting of duly cast ballots was outrageous, unprecedented and incorrect.
00:50:22.000 That's not what Trump said.
00:50:23.000 Trump did not say they should stop counting duly counted ballots or duly cast ballots.
00:50:26.000 He says, we want all voting to stop.
00:50:28.000 We don't want them to find any ballots at four o'clock in the morning and add them to the list.
00:50:32.000 Okay.
00:50:33.000 Now we want all vote counting to stop.
00:50:34.000 In fact, Trump was protesting the fact that there were random stoppages of the vote counting last night, right?
00:50:39.000 There was this weird two hour gap where all of a sudden all the states kind of stopped at once, stopped reporting ongoing election counting results and started reporting them in bulk.
00:50:48.000 When Trump said we want all voting to stop, we don't want them to find ballots at four o'clock in the morning and add them to the list, he's clearly saying we don't actually want them to manufacture votes in the middle of the night and then use that to make up the margins.
00:51:01.000 That's not wrong.
00:51:02.000 It isn't.
00:51:03.000 So he said two things there.
00:51:04.000 One of them is not great.
00:51:06.000 One of them is fine.
00:51:07.000 The media are treating both of them as the end of the world, obviously.
00:51:10.000 Here's the bottom line.
00:51:11.000 This election will end with some form of litigation in some of these states.
00:51:15.000 There will be some recounts in some of the states.
00:51:16.000 We're going to find out in shorter order rather than longer order where things stand.
00:51:20.000 But if you're a conservative, if you're a conservative, I know everybody's on tenterhooks about the presidential.
00:51:24.000 I am too.
00:51:25.000 I mean, everybody's got a churning in the gut.
00:51:26.000 I do too.
00:51:27.000 I get it.
00:51:28.000 We're going to be here all day bringing you updates.
00:51:30.000 And all day tomorrow.
00:51:30.000 And as long as this thing goes.
00:51:32.000 But, if you're a conservative, you should be looking at the outcome of last night's election, given the priors, and think to yourself, that was a massive victory.
00:51:39.000 A massive victory against the hard, radical left.
00:51:41.000 And that is a great thing that everybody should be celebrating right now.
00:51:45.000 You are allowed to take a sip of champagne for how the election went last night, even while we wait for the final outcome of the presidential.
00:51:51.000 Alrighty, we'll be back here later today with two additional hours of content, including all of the updates.
