Daniel Penney, a Marine veteran, put a crazed homeless man in a headlock, and then that person died. Now, Daniel Penney is going to be charged with second-degree manslaughter. Well, apparently we no longer do individual justice in this country, the typical way we do justice is there is a big social media coverage of an event, and if that event has the right narrative, then we demand prosecution of the person and then prosecutors just do it. That's how we do this thing, we don't investigate crimes and determine whether the actions actually fit the requisite elements of the crime, instead, we determine that something is just so hot in the social media sphere, and has generated so many protests that somebody must be prosecuted, whether or not that person's activities fit the elements of that crime. And this is why, presumably, Daniel Penny, who is the Marine veteran who helped train future Marines, is the one who is being charged with manslaughter in the death of a man who was put in a submission hold on a homeless man, and died in a choke hold. And now, New York City has decided that they will charge this Marine who is a hero. It happens on the subway, and now, a second person is being a hero? You re being charged for a hero, right? Well, okay, so you re a hero in the subway? Well guess what, you re not? . In this episode, we ll talk about that, and why it s a good thing. and why you should not be a hero and what s a bad thing in the first place. and why you need to get a lawyer or not a lawyer, not a judge Why you should be a lawyer. And why you don t need to be a criminal And what s going to happen not why he s a hero ? because he s not a criminal, right What s a criminal? And what s the point of this is to do you re just a criminal ? Why is he not a hero here? Why he s gonna get away with this? ? What does he s a criminal here ? and should he get a second chance? or should he be charged who s not even get a chance to go to jail if he s just a little more than a day in jail?
00:00:00.000Well, apparently we no longer do individual justice in this country.
00:00:03.000The typical way we do justice is there is a big social media coverage of an event, and if that event has the right narrative hallmarked, then we demand prosecution of the person, and then prosecutors just do it.
00:00:15.000We don't investigate crimes and determine whether the actions actually fit the requisite Elements of the crime.
00:00:21.000Instead, we determine that something is just so hot in the social media sphere and has generated so many protests that somebody must be prosecuted, whether or not that person's activities fit the elements of the crime.
00:00:33.000And this is why presumably Daniel Penny, who is the Marine veteran who put A crazed black homeless man in a headlock, essentially, in a submission hold.
00:00:46.000Now Daniel Penney is going to be charged.
00:00:48.000Jordan Neely, he had an arrest record as long as you're armed, 40 plus arrests.
00:00:53.000There was an outstanding warrant on Jordan Neely for punching a 67-year-old woman in the face.
00:00:57.000He went on a subway in New York City and he started harassing and threatening all the people on the subway.
00:01:02.000And the typical left-wing response to this is this is just what you're expected to undergo.
00:01:06.000If you're going to participate in public life, if you're going to be on public transportation, you're expected to subject yourself to crazed people who have mental illness and drug issues threatening you on the subway system.
00:01:17.000And if occasionally it breaks out into violence and you get hurt, well, again, that's just the cost of doing business.
00:01:22.000Well, Jordan Ely went on the subway and he started apparently screaming and yelling at people and threatening them, saying he was happy to go to jail.
00:01:28.000And then Daniel Penny, Who is a person who has been trained in protecting himself and others and has actually trained others because this is what he did with the Marines.
00:01:36.000He actually was in the Marine training program.
00:01:38.000He would help train future Marines as well.
00:01:41.000He came up in the subway behind Jordan Neely and he put him in a submission hold.
00:01:44.000Now the reason I use the term submission hold as opposed to choke hold is because, well, they can be used interchangeably.
00:01:50.000The fact is that a submission hold is designed to cause somebody to submit.
00:01:53.000It is what you would typically call a blood choke as opposed to an air choke.
00:01:56.000An air choke is designed to cut off somebody's airways.
00:01:59.000A blood choke is designed to put pressure on the arteries and therefore deprive oxygen to the brain long enough to make somebody, essentially, it's a sleeper hole that puts somebody into a state of unconsciousness.
00:02:11.000And if you watch the tape, that's clearly what this marine is attempting to do.
00:02:15.000He puts this guy, he puts Jordan Ailey in a submission hold.
00:02:18.000There's a black man and a Hispanic man who are standing right there trying to also help subdue this crazed homeless person who should not have been on the streets.
00:02:27.000The only reason he was on the streets is because the system in New York is garbage and it is absolutely incoherently foolish.
00:02:34.000The way the system would work is that they would arrest Giordanili, he'd go to jail for five minutes, they'd let him back out on the street.
00:02:38.000They'd arrest Giordanili, they'd let him back out on the street.
00:02:40.000They would take Giordanili and they would sentence him to go to some sort of clean-out facility to get him off drugs.
00:03:05.000Again, you can see, Jordan Ely is on the ground because he's being put in a submission hold by Daniel Penney.
00:03:12.000There's another man, a black man there, who's trying to hold Jordan Ely's arms there to get him to submit.
00:03:17.000There's another man, a Hispanic man, who's also trying to get... There are three men there who are trying to hold him down because he was obviously about to get violent with the passengers.
00:03:27.000Not only that, but as this goes on, you'll see Jordan Neely goes unconscious, and then Daniel Penney immediately releases him.
00:04:49.000If Daniel Penney were a black man, not only would Daniel Penney not be put on trial right now, Daniel Penney would be given the keys to the city.
00:04:57.000If Jordan Neely were a white man, you never would have heard about any of this.
00:05:00.000It never would have made the headlines at all.
00:05:03.000There have been dozens of people who have died on the New York City subway system over the course of the last couple of years.
00:05:08.000You don't know the names of any of them.
00:05:10.000The reason this became an issue is because the media narrative is simple.
00:05:13.000Daniel Penney is a stand-in for white America.
00:05:14.000Jordan Neely is a stand-in for black America.
00:05:16.000Now, it doesn't matter that none of this fits.
00:05:18.000It doesn't matter, again, that the video shows a black man helping to hold Jordan Neely down.
00:05:23.000It doesn't matter that Jordan Neely had a really, really long arrest record and had victimized lots and lots of people.
00:05:29.000And that Daniel Penney is actually a person who serves the country as a Marine.
00:05:44.000And now, the idea is going to be that Daniel Penney will be prosecuted.
00:05:47.000Which means, by the way, you ever want to ride the New York City subway system again?
00:05:51.000They've been having a real problem getting people to ride that subway because it turns out that very often people go down to the subway system and some crazed homeless person tries to push them in front of a train.
00:05:59.000Or hit them with a samurai sword or something.
00:06:01.000And they won't staff up the police in New York City.
00:06:04.000They won't allow the police to actually do their jobs because they're afraid that that will create suspicions of systemic racism.
00:06:09.000And so what that causes is civilians to actually have to do the job that the police are not allowed to do.
00:06:13.000And then when bad things happen, then civilians are prosecuted.
00:06:16.000So what that means is no one will use the subway system anymore.
00:06:19.000This is a great way to clean out a major American city.
00:06:40.000We'll get to the details in just one second.
00:06:41.000First, You never know when breaking news is going to hit, which means that my cell phone coverage better be really good because I may be anywhere and I got to make sure that I can pick up the phone and make sure that I know what is going on.
00:06:59.000When you go to one of these other guys, they give you that quote unquote free phone and then you start out feeling great and then come the hefty activation fees and the four line requirements and of course the binding contract.
00:07:06.000When you switch to PureTalk's unlimited talk, text and data plan, it comes with a mobile hotspot.
00:07:48.000According to the Wall Street Journal, Daniel Penney, who is 24, will be arrested on a charge of second-degree manslaughter, according to a spokesman for the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who's an eminently political left-wing prosecutor.
00:08:00.000Penney is expected to be arraigned today.
00:08:01.000Bragg's office had previously said it was conducting a criminal investigation into the death of Jordan Neely.
00:08:06.000And then I love, I just love how the media treat Jordan Neely.
00:08:10.000Okay, the proper descriptor of Jordan Neely, to give you the full context, would be, A decade-long homeless person with severe mental illness and drug abuse issues with 40 previous arrests.
00:08:27.000The Wall Street Journal's editorial page is, in fact, conservative-leaning.
00:08:31.000The news page for the Wall Street Journal is actually to the left of the New York Times.
00:08:35.000The news gathering department of the Wall Street Journal is not a right-wing department.
00:08:38.000In any case, here is how they describe Jordan Neely.
00:08:40.000Again, the relevant facts would have been career criminal, threatens people, outstanding warrant for assault, mentally ill, drug addict, right?
00:08:47.000These would be the relevant facts because all of those are going to play into the trial.
00:08:50.000You know what's not going to play into the trial?
00:08:52.000The fact that he sometimes impersonated Michael Jackson.
00:08:54.000That's the only fact most Americans are going to know about this case.
00:08:57.000In the same way, That most Americans only think of Michael Brown in the graduation outfit.
00:09:02.000Because that's the photo that was plastered all over the news.
00:09:05.000They don't think of Michael Brown as the guy who's robbing a convenience store minutes before he tried to take a gun off an officer and shoot him.
00:09:12.000So here's how the Wall Street Journal describes it.
00:09:13.000Mr. Bragg's office had previously said it was conducting a criminal investigation into the death of Jordan Neely,
00:09:18.000a 30-year-old Michael Jackson impersonator who was killed in the May 1 altercation on a subway train traveling
00:09:56.000The notion that it was not an underlying drug and heart problem that caused the death of George Floyd.
00:10:00.000Again, I have serious doubts about the verdict in the George Floyd case.
00:10:03.000But in a statement last week, Penny's lawyer said Neely had been aggressively threatening Penny and other passengers and that Penny acted to protect himself and other passengers.
00:10:11.000The May 5th statement said Daniel never intended to harm Mr. Neely and could not have foreseen his untimely death.
00:10:16.000In the moments leading up to this, Neely took off his jacket, aggressively threw it to the floor, and was screaming that he was hungry and thirsty and ready to die.
00:10:23.000Which, of course, is rather threatening.
00:10:26.000People who knew Neely said he wasn't a violent person, but struggled with mental illness.
00:10:29.000Well, if he wasn't a violent person, why did he punch a 67-year-old woman in the face?
00:10:33.000There's an outstanding warrant on this.
00:10:39.000It's horrible public policy, by the way.
00:10:41.000So you have about eight bad public policies stacked up on top of one another here.
00:10:45.000One, you tell the police they're not allowed to do their jobs.
00:10:47.000Two, you classify mental illness as a policing problem, and then you don't use involuntary commitment to put severely mentally ill people in hospitals where they get the treatment that they actually require, whether they like it or not.
00:10:59.000Okay, so you make it a policing problem, then you tell the police they can't do their job, then civilians have to do the job, and then when civilians do do the job, then you prosecute them.
00:11:09.000Now, what exactly is manslaughter in the second degree?
00:11:12.000Well, according to the Penal Code in New York, A person acts recklessly with respect to a death when that person engages in conduct which creates or contributes to a substantial and unjustifiable risk that another person's death will occur, and when he or she is aware of and consciously disregards that risk.
00:11:32.000So there's no reason, by the way, for this Marine to think that Giordanili was going to die just because he was putting him in a submission hold.
00:11:38.000Which again is the same hold that is used in MMA like on a routine basis.
00:11:42.000The risk also has to be of such nature and degree that disregard of it constitutes a gross deviation from the standard of conduct a reasonable person would observe in the situation.
00:11:51.000Now, we all know that this trial is immediately going to become political.
00:11:55.000It's immediately going to become political.
00:11:57.000If it happens in New York, There will be serious questions about the racial constituency of the jury, their political positions.
00:12:02.000Is it going to be people who have flown Black Lives Matter flags?
00:12:06.000Or is it not people who have flown Black Lives Matter flags?
00:12:08.000Is it people who are white or people who are black?
00:12:10.000I mean, this is going to be the calculus now, which says very poor things about our criminal justice system, particularly in our major cities.
00:12:19.000And again, the way that the media treat all of this is as though You know, absolutely normal, homeless person, not threatening, just kind of mumbling to himself, suddenly was attacked and murdered by white marine.
00:13:00.000Minor crimes will not be prosecuted because to prosecute minor crimes might result in more black people being arrested per capita than white people being arrested per capita.
00:13:07.000But I have found the one crime for which a black homeless person will be arrested Not for punching a 67-year-old woman in the face.
00:13:17.000You're not going to get arrested for any of that sort of stuff.
00:13:20.000In fact, we will then call you, if something bad happens to you, a beloved Michael Jackson impersonator, and we will treat you as though you're not even homeless.
00:13:32.000Because it's our responsibility to house you, even if you don't wish to be housed.
00:13:35.000Even if you're put in a homeless shelter and you run away after 13 days.
00:13:38.000Which is what happened with Jordan Neely, according to the New York Times.
00:13:40.000But there is one crime, one crime that a black homeless person can commit in which the media will now describe them as a homeless person with mental illness who should go to jail.
00:13:49.000I'm going to tell you about that crime in just one second.
00:13:55.000Like most Americans, you're probably not wild about spending half your annual salary buying meat at the grocery store, especially considering 85% of it comes from overseas.
00:14:05.000When you subscribe to Good Ranchers, you're not only going to get high quality, amazing meat at an excellent price, you'll also get meat that comes from American farms and ranches.

00:14:44.000That is promo code BEN at GoodRanchers.com for $30 off your order.
00:14:50.000Good Ranchers is, in fact, American meat delivered.
00:14:54.000Okay, so there is in fact one crime in which you will now be called homeless rather than unhoused and in which your race will become irrelevant.
00:15:00.000It won't matter that you're black when you're arrested.
00:15:27.000He's an unhoused Michael Jackson impersonator.
00:15:29.000But, but, B-U-T-T, if you are a homeless man who is black, Fred Innocent, by the way, the names here are just beyond parody, Fred Innocent, 45, This was a total hate crime!
00:15:45.000He could have gone to Popeye's or McDonald's around the corner.
00:15:47.000Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side. On April 15th about 10 a.m. as the day crew was
00:15:51.000setting up, he grabbed two rainbow flags off a table, cops said. He then relieved himself on one
00:15:55.000of the banners and cleaned himself with the other. This was a total hate crime, said restaurant owner
00:16:00.000Courtney Barrell. He came in within 15 minutes of us opening up the restaurant. He could have gone
00:16:04.000to Popeyes or McDonald's around the corner. He could have used napkins. He could have used napkins.
00:16:09.000She said she puts the flags up in the restaurant to show she's welcoming to the gay community.
00:16:13.000We support everyone no matter what kind of background, race or lifestyle, Beryl told the Daily News.
00:16:17.000She felt innocent zeroed in on the flags because of intolerance.
00:16:20.000He took the only two flags in the area, used one to defecate and the other to wipe his ass, she said.
00:16:25.000Restaurant porter Enrique Trujillo discovered the mess as he cleaned the dining shed.
00:16:30.000I smelled something really bad, Trujillo said shortly after the incident.
00:18:03.000Innocent, whose address comes back to a Harlem shelter because he's a homeless person, was charged with burglary, harassment, and trespassing, all as hate crimes.
00:19:32.000According to the Baltimore Banner, they have now filed a federal lawsuit against car manufacturers Kia and Hyundai, joining a number of cities who say the companies created a public nuisance by making cars that can be easily stolen.
00:19:47.000The lawsuit says that Hyundai and Kia's decision to put cost savings and profits over public safety has had significant consequences for Baltimore and its residents, as it has in other cities.
00:19:56.000Louis, and Seattle, all cities that are dominated by crime now, are among other cities that started suing the car companies earlier this year.
00:20:04.000Baltimore's lawsuit says the companies failed to keep up with industry standards.
00:20:07.000They claim it was the result of business decisions made to reduce costs and boost profits.
00:20:11.000The dramatically increased rates of Hyundai and Kia theft in Baltimore has required city and police resources that would not have been needed but for Hyundai and Kia's deliberate failures, the lawsuit says, car thieves, many of them teenagers, take advantage of these failures and engage in reckless driving, creating substantial safety risks to themselves and Baltimore residents and their properties.
00:20:29.000So, you know what you could do is you could actually, you know, police crime.
00:20:34.000Instead, the city of Baltimore has given up on that.
00:20:56.000You gotta make it hard to steal your cars.
00:20:59.000Okay, in just one second, we'll get to the other major government failure of the day, aside from crime, and that, of course, is immigration first.

00:22:11.000The immigration crisis in our southern border has now broken completely out into the open.
00:22:16.000That, of course, is no surprise because Title 42 restrictions have now ended.
00:22:19.000According to the Washington Post, President Biden began sweeping aside his predecessor's restrictive immigration policies on his very first day in office, but he left one major Trump measure in place.
00:22:28.000Title 42 is the COVID-era Precaution that said that border officials could just turn people away at the border, whether they were applying for asylum, not applying for asylum.
00:23:00.000Joe Biden is way back there over by the actual White House.
00:23:04.000Jackie Heinrich, who's a reporter, said White House restricts reporters behind a rope at the far back of the Rose Garden during Biden's only public event today, eliminating the chance of even a shouted question hours before Title 42 lifts.
00:23:16.000The media, of course, accept this, as you wrote, because, of course, they work for Joe Biden, not the other way around.
00:23:21.000He doesn't work for the American people.
00:23:22.000They don't work for the American people.
00:23:26.000And then both of them work to bamboozle the American people.
00:23:29.000They're apparently perfectly happy to be placed at the... I remember when this was like a big deal when Trump did it.
00:23:34.000You remember that there were certain reporters who were put further away, and it was like a major national scandal.
00:23:39.000Yeah, not so much anymore, because, of course, you know, they know where their bread is buttered, and it's buttered by Joe Biden.
00:23:45.000So what exactly is the Biden administration planning to do?
00:23:48.000According to NBC News, after more than 11,000 migrants were caught crossing the southern border on Tuesday alone, the Biden administration is now preparing a memo that will direct Customs and Border Protection to begin releasing migrants into the United States without court dates or the ability to track them.
00:24:02.000The Biden administration began releasing migrants without court dates to alleviate overcrowding in March 2021, but had previously enrolled those migrants in a program known as Alternatives to Detention.
00:24:10.000That requires them to check in on a mobile app until they're eventually given a court date, which is what you're going to do, right?
00:24:14.000You're going to check in on that mobile app, obviously.
00:24:17.000Like, they release you, you come here, they release you into the country, instead of you just disappearing into the interior.
00:24:23.000Going and finding a job someplace, maybe getting some state welfare benefits or something.
00:24:26.000Instead of doing that, you're going to check in meticulously every day for your court date.
00:27:53.000The legislation is known as the Secure the Border Act of 2023.
00:27:56.000It would mandate that CBP hire enough Border Patrol agents to maintain a staff of 22,000 and develop a plan to upgrade existing technology to make sure that agents are actually well-equipped.
00:28:05.000It would also require the Homeland Security Secretary to resume construction of the border wall.
00:28:11.000Democrats hold a slim majority in the Senate, and the White House, of course, is issuing a veto threat this week.
00:28:16.000In a joint statement after the bill passed, House GOP leaders said that Republicans are taking action to address the chaos at our nation's borders by delivering legislation that will support our border patrol agents, block the flow of fentanyl into our country, and put an end to the Biden border crisis.
00:28:29.000The White House issued a statement this week saying that while they support productive efforts to reform the country's immigration system, it opposes the GOP-sponsored bill.
00:28:36.000It says it would make elements of our immigration system worse.
00:28:40.000Well, according to the White House, quote, the legislation does nothing to address the root causes of migration, reduces humanitarian protections, and restricts lawful pathways, which are critical alternatives to unlawful entry.
00:28:48.000In other words, what we actually need to do is just release them on asylum.
00:29:02.000Democrat's solution is that they actively, some of them who actually care about the border issue at least a little bit, they actually want to extend the Title 42.
00:29:09.000Okay, now Title 42, remember, is a pandemic era.
00:29:14.000Protection from health and human services saying you can't come in because you might have COVID.
00:29:19.000So the Democrats don't actually want to just up border security permanently.
00:29:22.000Instead, they want this temporary salve in which we pretend that COVID is still an ongoing problem.
00:29:29.000Sherrod Brown is now joining Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema to urge the administration to extend Title 42.
00:29:37.000So, instead of actually passing a law that would increase border security, instead what they're going to do is pretend that the COVID crisis is still ongoing with regard to illegal immigration.
00:29:50.000Meanwhile, Alejandro Mayorkas is blaming Congress.
00:29:53.000Doesn't matter that the House Republicans just passed a border security bill.
00:29:55.000Mayorkas, because he works for the Democrats and is a Democrat administration official, he says it's Congress's fault.
00:30:02.000Our current situation is the outcome of Congress leaving a broken, outdated immigration system in place for over two decades, despite unanimous agreement that we desperately need legislative reform.
00:30:17.000It is also the result of Congress's decision not to provide us with the resources we need and that we requested.
00:32:01.000What's the rough cost to American taxpayers since roughly 4 million people have come into this country illegally?
00:32:06.000Let me turn that question around a little bit.
00:32:10.000Because I'm going to turn it around to match the question that an international partner asked of me.
00:32:17.000And the question that the international partner asked of me is, what is the economic cost of your broken immigration system?
00:32:24.000Since there are businesses around this country that are desperate for workers, there are desperate workers looking for jobs, desperate workers in foreign countries that are looking for jobs in the United States where they can earn money lawfully and send much-needed remittances back home.
00:32:46.000What is the cost of a broken immigration system?
00:33:23.000Five million people have entered the country illegally approximately since Joe Biden took office.
00:33:28.000That's why people think there's an open border.
00:33:29.000And right now, according to NBC News, you are literally taking people and releasing them into the interior without a court date and no way to follow up.
00:33:36.000And you're saying there's not an open border?
00:33:38.000That's weird because all the migrants who are showing up think there is.
00:33:41.000Going back to October of last year, there were more than a million apprehensions, but then there were also more than 530,000 gotaways.
00:33:50.000That's roughly the size of the population of the city of Baltimore.
00:33:54.000How can you say that the border is not open?
00:33:57.000So, we removed, returned, and expelled 1.4 million people last year.
00:34:04.000Ask those 1.4 million people if they think the border is open.
00:34:13.000Well, I mean, everyone who's rushing the border seems to think the border's open, I noticed.
00:34:17.000Even Jeh Johnson, the former Homeland Security Secretary under Barack Obama.
00:34:20.000He's like, yeah, they're doing a crap job.
00:34:22.000When you've lost Jeh Johnson, you've lost everybody.
00:34:40.000And that is why we see the numbers we see now.
00:34:43.000Well, first of all, no matter what you do in this space, somebody is going to be very unhappy.
00:34:48.000Somebody is going to be very upset and screaming loudly from the right or the left or both.
00:34:56.000I would like to see, I would have liked to have seen throughout the last two and a half years, a consistent message that consistent with our values as Americans.
00:35:12.000We treat migrants fairly, humanely, but there is a right way and a wrong way to come here.
00:35:19.000And if you come here the wrong way, we will send you back.
00:35:23.000Well, I mean, they had to pry those words out of J Johnson with like a crowbar.
00:35:33.000You also did a crappy job on the border, Jay Johnson.
00:35:36.000This is how we ended up in this position in the first place.
00:35:39.000One of the funnier aspects in this very tragic situation right now is how Democratic cities are now freaking out over a few thousand illegal immigrants arriving.
00:35:47.000So Chicago residents, they're now on tape, erupting over migrants.
00:37:01.000So you won't put people in jail for like actual violent criminals in New York City, unless they happen to be like a Marine who tried to stop a violent criminal from harming and assaulting other people.
00:37:11.000That guy, maybe you'll throw in jail in New York City.
00:37:13.000But you will definitely make sure that the migrants, who you love so much.
00:37:37.000According to Politico, Mayor Eric Adams said he would consider housing migrants in a closed Hudson Valley prison.
00:37:42.000During a call with county officials Thursday, as New York City struggles to find accommodation for thousands more asylum seekers.
00:37:48.000In an audio of the call obtained exclusively by Politico, Adams made it clear his administration needs assistance from neighboring counties, as the city has already provided housing, food, and other services to more than 65,000 asylum seekers over the past year.
00:37:59.000He didn't rule out the suggestion from Newburgh Supervisor Gil Pequodio that the mayor consider vacant housing at SUNY Newpelt, as well as Shutter-Downstown Correctional Facility in nearby Fishkilt, Dutchess County.
00:38:15.000Well, the loser journalist of the day covering all of this is always and forever the worst journalist in the White House Correspondents Room is April Ryan.
00:38:24.000In that press room, she is just a disaster area.
00:38:28.000And yesterday, she had to even be correct.
00:38:30.000Alejandra Mayorkas actually had to correct her because she was too crazed and left-wing yesterday at the White House.
00:38:35.000She was pushing the claim that border agents were whipping migrants.
00:38:38.000You remember this debunked claim that was originally pushed by the Biden White House?
00:38:42.000Southern border is not just Mexicans, it is Haitians, it's Africans as we've seen, particularly with that issue with the Haitians being whipped with the reins or the horses.
00:38:54.000But what is their... Well, let me just correct you right there, because actually the investigation concluded that the whipping did not occur.
00:40:44.000The delay will give White House and congressional staff more time to make progress in their closed-door spending talks, according to the officials.
00:40:50.000Adding that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was unable to attend.
00:40:54.000Biden and the Democratic leaders have called on Republicans to agree to lift the debt ceiling without any preconditions.
00:40:58.000So here's how the negotiations so far have gone.
00:41:01.000Republicans pass a bill lifting the debt ceiling, but saying that spending should remain at 2022 levels.
00:41:06.000And Joe Biden has said, I'm not doing anything.
00:41:08.000So the negotiations so far goes, one side says, we will do many of the things you want, but we will do some of the things we want.
00:41:13.000And the other side says, no, I'm not doing anything.
00:41:18.000Joe Biden is handling this just like a pro.
00:41:20.000Kevin McCarthy, correctly, the House Speaker, he's like, you know, I noticed that there's a debt ceiling deadline and Joe Biden doesn't seem to care.
00:41:57.000Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve is stuck again between that rock and the hard place.
00:42:00.000They've said that they're going to pause basically all of the interest rate increases, which of course means that inflation is now embedded in the economy.
00:42:07.000The inflation rate is still stuck around 5% or two and a half times what the Federal Reserve was supposed to have it at.
00:42:13.000The reason they're pausing it is because if they raise those interest rates, they devalue all of the bond assets that are being held by the regional banks.
00:42:18.000And if that happens, all those regional banks are going to go under.
00:42:22.000Those regional banks are in trouble anyway because everybody is shifting their money out of the regional banks that are giving them an interest rate that is way lower than you get in a money market account.
00:42:29.000According to the Wall Street Journal, shares of PacWest Bank Corp fell 23% on Thursday, dragging down other mid-sized banks as well after PacWest disclosed another round of deposit flight.
00:42:39.000The bank said in a securities filing it lost 9.5% of total deposits just last week.
00:42:43.000PacWest stock was halted several times because of volatile trading.
00:42:47.000So we are not remotely done with the fiscal crisis that we have in store and inflation is now embedding the American economy.
00:42:52.000Slow clap for the geniuses over at the White House.
00:42:55.000Meanwhile, CNN is feeling all the fallout from its town hall with Donald Trump.
00:43:00.000They committed the grave sin of having Donald Trump on their network.
00:43:03.000Now, listen, I think that CNN did Trump an enormous favor, as we talked about yesterday, because Trump was funny and he was aggressive, and that's kind of what Republican voters want to see.
00:43:13.000Caitlyn Collins and CNN provided him with the opposition and a warm in-person crowd to cheer him in slamming Caitlyn Collins through a wall.
00:43:22.000It was a win for CNN in the sense that they got big ratings out of it, which presumably is what Chris Licht was looking for, the new head of CNN.
00:43:28.000According to Mediaite, CNN's town hall with Trump landed atop the cable news ratings at 8 p.m.
00:43:33.000It beat both Fox News and MSNBC during the time slot.
00:43:36.000Nielsen's fast national data showed CNN scoring 3.12 million total voters, viewers, and a whopping 703,000 viewers in the 25 to 54 age demographic.
00:43:46.000And those numbers are actually significantly higher.
00:43:49.000They ended up at 3.31 million viewers because of online viewing and lag viewing.
00:43:56.000Fox was in third with 1.35 million total viewers.
00:43:59.000Fox's decline in the ratings has been precipitous since the firing of Tucker Carlson, obviously.
00:44:06.000Well, you'd imagine the people at CNN would be real happy about this, no?
00:44:08.000I mean, they like the ratings, they actually, like, they want Trump to actually be the nominee.
00:44:13.000I mean, pretty clearly they want it because he's good for the ratings and because they think he's the most beatable.
00:44:17.000But, the journalists over at CNN, and I mean faux journalists here, they're actually really upset.
00:44:21.000They're really upset because anything that makes Trump look remotely good reflects badly on them, and they, of course, have a split personality with regard to Trump.
00:44:29.000They both think that he's a Hitlerian fascist, and they also think that he ought to be the nominee.
00:44:33.000And the reason he ought to be the nominee is because all of their political opponents are Hitlerian fascists, and if he's the nominee, then he might- he'll be more likely to lose, and the Hitlerian fascists lose.
00:44:42.000Now, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
00:44:44.000There's every shot that they end up getting Trump nominated, and then he actually wins.
00:44:52.000But, Anderson Cooper went on the air last night, and he lamented his own network even airing a town hall with Donald Trump.
00:44:59.000He sort of defended it, but then he's like, you have every right not to watch this network.
00:45:02.000First of all, Chris Lick should fire him right away, shouldn't he?
00:45:05.000And can you imagine any other host on any other network being like, you know what?
00:45:08.000If you boycott the place I work for, that's fine with me.
00:45:11.000Or is Anderson Cooper really going for it?
00:45:14.000Before we begin with tonight's broadcast, I want to say something about what we witnessed at last night's town hall.
00:45:19.000Many of you have expressed deep anger and disappointment.
00:45:22.000Many of you are upset that someone who attempted to destroy our democracy was invited to sit on a stage in front of a crowd of Republican voters to answer questions and predictably continued to spew lie after lie after lie.
00:45:41.000But do you think staying in your silo and only listening to people you agree with is going to make that person go away?
00:45:47.000If we all only listen to those we agree with, it may actually do the opposite.
00:45:52.000If lies are allowed to go unchecked, as imperfect as our ability to check them is on a stage in real time, those lies continue and those lies spread.
00:46:03.000So, in other words, it's not just that you should hear from Trump because he's the leading Republican contender right now.
00:46:09.000You should hear from him because your evil step-aunt also agrees with Donald Trump's as Anderson Cooper, but, but, you know, you really don't, you don't have to, um, you don't have to watch CNN anymore.
00:46:18.000You have a right not to watch CNN anymore.
00:46:20.000We understand if you never, if you never watch it again because you're still angry that we showed Donald Trump's picture.
00:46:28.000If they strike him down, he becomes more powerful than they could possibly imagine.
00:46:31.000This is the world, like, the media are making Trump powerful.
00:46:34.000Now, at some level, they have to understand this.
00:46:36.000At some level, they have to understand that they've discovered the secret sauce, which is, the more they oppose a candidate, the more they elevate the candidate.
00:46:42.000And so, they've now shifted their fire away from Ron DeSantis and back toward Trump.
00:46:47.000They've decided that the more they, like, CNN had vowed never to have Trump on again, right?
00:46:59.000Meanwhile, E. Jean Carroll is not going away.
00:47:01.000E. Jean Carroll, who just won a $5 million defamation judgment against Donald Trump, despite the absurdity of her original claims and the unverifiability of the claims, and the fact that she had a cat whose name was Vagina, despite all of that, she apparently is thinking about suing Donald Trump again.
00:47:22.000According to the New York Times, when former President Donald J. Trump was inveighing against E. Jean Carroll on CNN Wednesday night, at least one person was not watching, Ms.
00:47:29.000She was asleep, did not learn of his comments, calling her claim of a decades-old sexual assault fake and a made-up story until Thursday morning, when her lawyer sent her a transcript.
00:47:37.000She said, it's stupid, disgusting, vile, foul, it wounds people.
00:47:42.000And then her lawyers said that maybe we should sue him again.
00:49:00.000And thanks to Joe Biden, our borders are now wide open for all to come.
00:49:06.000Are schools free from parental involvement?
00:49:11.000Mediocre male athletes now given the opportunity to compete unfairly.
00:49:16.000Under Biden's unprecedented inflation, the hope of home ownership gone and young adults forced to abandon seeking the American dream to live in their parents' basement longer.
00:49:28.000Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan left billions in weapons behind and American lives taken.
00:49:36.000Our police ranks now shrinking, yet Biden spends billions creating an army of 80,000 new IRS agents.
00:49:44.000Why would we ever accept the incompetence and weakness of Biden when we could have the freedom, security, and economic prosperity we enjoyed just three years ago?
00:49:54.000I'm Donald J. Trump, and I approve this message.
00:50:19.000But do you want the campaign to be about Joe Biden or do you want to be about Donald Trump?
00:50:23.000The administrative state trying to deprive people of the right to put food on the table for their family.
00:50:27.000but will I would assume any day now he is he's continuing to hammer against Joe Biden.
00:50:32.000Right. So he did a presser the other day. He banned all vaccine mandates
00:50:35.000for covid in the state of Florida. And he said these vaccine mandates were
00:50:38.000not about controlling covid. They're about controlling your behavior.
00:50:40.000The administrative state trying to deprive people of the right to put food on the table
00:50:48.000for their family, that you either do this or you don't work or you don't eat.
00:50:54.000That was a disgrace to this country that they tried to do that.
00:50:58.000And we fought them every step of the way on that, but I think the fact that you see that, that shows you for sure, these restrictions and these mandates, the purpose of them was not to safeguard your health.
00:51:13.000The purpose of them was to control your behavior.
00:51:24.000I mean, I'm not sure there has ever been a person as entertaining as Donald Trump.
00:51:30.000Like, if you take all the Hollywood product for the last 20 years and combine it into one movie, it's still not as entertaining as Donald Trump.
00:51:34.000But the question is, who's most likely to beat Joe Biden?
00:51:37.000Again, if the focus is on Joe Biden, the answer is Joe Biden is the person most likely to beat Joe Biden.
00:51:41.000If the focus is on Donald Trump, I'm not sure how that election goes.
00:51:44.000I'm not sure anybody else knows how that election goes.
00:51:47.000Meanwhile, in other news, Elon Musk has now announced that he is going to sign a new CEO.
00:51:52.000This person is apparently named Linda Iaccarino.
00:51:55.000She is the head of advertising for NBCUniversal.
00:51:58.000She's the chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships at NBCU.
00:52:01.000She's been there for more than a decade.
00:52:02.000She's been an industry advocate for finding better ways to measure the effectiveness of advertising.
00:52:05.000Now, presumably, the reason that Musk is doing this is twofold.
00:52:08.000One, the stock, the Tesla stock, has been dropping because he's not putting his attention on Tesla.
00:52:14.000He's focused in on Twitter, for which he spent some $44 billion, which is a wild overpay.
00:52:19.000I mean, that is like a Hulu series Special Elizabeth Holmes-level overpay for Twitter.
00:52:29.000I mean, it's not worth a fraction of that.
00:52:30.000But, good for Elon Musk because he's at least freed Twitter for people to actually use without having to worry that if they call a man a man, they might be banned.
00:52:37.000He's now talking about putting somebody there who actually will bring in the revenue.
00:52:40.000Because, let's be real, Twitter is going to be reliant on advertising revenue.
00:52:52.000Well, there are a lot of people who are upset because she is apparently associated with the World Economic Forum.
00:52:57.000Now, to be fair to Iaccarino, The World Economic Forum is a disgrace and a horrible place.
00:53:03.000Also, there are a wide variety of people who have attended, like, a World Economic Forum festival.
00:53:07.000I mean, like, there are a lot of people on all sides.
00:53:10.000If she went there to yell at people or to discuss with people why they are wrong, I don't see it as a huge issue.
00:53:14.000So, the fact that she's associated with the World Economic Forum raises flags, obviously, but it doesn't necessarily mean that she's on the side of the hardcore political left.
00:53:23.000Some, again, according to the Washington Post, the fact that she has worked with the WEF Yeah, a lot of people are saying that's a sign she'll return Twitter to its old ways, but presumably, Musk would not allow any of that to happen.
00:53:35.000He's still going to be the boss, and he's capable of firing her.
00:53:37.000He said the platform's commitment to open-source transparency and accepting a wide range of viewpoints remains unchanged.
00:53:42.000She was appointed by Donald Trump to serve a two-year term on his Council on Sport, Fitness, and Nutrition as well.
00:53:49.000On the other hand, she was also a member of the Ad Council and partnered with the Biden White House to create a COVID vaccine campaign featuring Pope Francis.
00:53:55.000Musk and Yacarino are apparently friendly.
00:53:57.000They appeared on stage together in Miami Beach just a couple of weeks ago.
00:54:01.000If you look at her Twitter follows, she follows a lot of right-wing figures, including me, for full disclosure.
00:54:52.000Mark Skousen's The Making of Modern Economics.
00:54:55.000Okay, time for a bevy of things that I hate today.
00:55:01.000So, according to Daily Wire, a California Community College history professor is now in big trouble because he handed out Jeremy's chocolate bars to students.
00:55:12.000David Richardson is a self-described gay conservative, and he stocked a bowl of candy with Jeremy's he, him, she, her chocolate bars, inviting Madera Community College students at an open house to help themselves, according to George Washington University law professor and blogger Jonathan Turley.
00:55:25.000School officials apparently took the act as an endorsement of the gender binary, Richardson told Turley he'd been suspended, banned from non-public spaces on campus, denied access to his email, as the school investigates him for serious misconduct.
00:55:37.000Richardson, again, who is gay and has been teaching for 33 years, said that a staff member started taking pictures of the candy bars and kept trying to bait me.
00:55:43.000Nothing happened until he received a letter on Monday.
00:55:47.000Apparently, this constitutes a hostile work environment, says the college officials.
00:55:51.000They claimed it was harassment and discrimination against colleagues based on gender.
00:55:56.000Richardson is already in the middle of a lawsuit against the State Center Community College District, which he sued after it sanctioned him for his behavior during a mandatory pronoun etiquette seminar that was led by a trans-identifying professor in October 2021.
00:56:13.000So if you say that boys and girls exist, or if you just put out a chocolate bar that suggests the same, then apparently you could be fired from your job as a community college professor.
00:56:23.000It's a story that might put you in a bad mood, but you know what would put you in a better mood?
00:56:26.000Eating the same chocolate that is getting this professor in trouble.
00:56:29.000You should have Jeremy's chocolate at hand because Jeremy believes every free American should have the right to hand out whatever chocolate He or she sees fit.
00:56:36.000And that's why, right now, you can get the delicious Jeremy's He, Him & She Her Chocolate Bars in microaggression size.
00:56:42.000So, pre-order Jeremy's Chocolate right now, conveniently available for Halloween.
00:56:46.000Go to Jeremy'sChocolate.com, pre-order today.
00:56:50.000But that's not even quite as insane as what is happening with regard to children's TV.
00:56:54.000Again, there's a reason we here at DailyWare are spending $100 million to make children's TV.
00:56:57.000And it is because you cannot turn to children's TV and just leave your kids in front of it, Without worrying that they are going to be indoctrinated with a bunch of non-binary gender ideological bullcrap.
00:57:53.000Okay, and by the way, that's the second clip in this show where the robot declares that it is in fact gender non-binary because the human character says that she, she's a girl, is gender non-binary.
00:58:03.000And the robot's like, that's so beautiful.
00:58:05.000It matches the beauty of my experience.
00:58:07.000It's just pure left-wing indoctrination on children's TV.
00:58:11.000Do not let your kids watch shows you haven't pre-screened.
00:58:23.000Either you can trust our vetting procedures or you can trust your own.
00:58:25.000It's a lot more time effective to just let us do it for you, is the reality, over at DailyWirePlus.com.
00:58:30.000But that's the reason we are doing this, is because you literally cannot leave your kid in front of a TV watching a Transformers show for seven-year-olds without worrying they're going to be teaching your kid that he could be a she.
00:58:39.000It's absolutely absurd and ridiculous.
00:58:40.000Alrighty, guys, the rest of the show is continuing right now.
