Summary

Donald Trump leaves Mar-a-largo and heads to Manhattan for an arraignment. He is expected to plead not guilty to a 34-count indictment brought by the Manhattan DA against him on Thursday morning, but it's not clear if he'll actually be handcuffed or if he will just be let go without a hearing. Trump supporters lined the streets in droves to greet him as he arrived in Manhattan, and he was greeted by supporters at Trump Tower. Later, he will be arraigned in front of a judge who will decide whether or not he should be charged with a crime, and if so, what he should do with the evidence. Trump is also expected to deliver remarks at a rally later in the day, and later tonight, he is scheduled to deliver a speech at Mar-A-Largo where he will address his supporters at a dinner party hosted by his wife, First Lady, Karen Trump, and his daughter, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, at 8:15pm. 00:00:00.000 Well, today is the big day.
00:00:02.000 Last night, Donald Trump flew from Mar-a-Lago to Manhattan in order to turn himself in to be arraigned.
00:00:08.000 What that means is that later this afternoon, he goes in front of a judge who will plead not guilty.
00:00:13.000 The order of the day goes something like this.
00:00:15.000 At 11 a.m., he is scheduled to show up at the courthouse and he is going to surrender.
00:00:20.000 By surrendering that doesn't mean they're going to handcuff him, doesn't mean necessarily they're going to take a mugshot.
00:00:23.000 None of that is really public information at this point.
00:00:26.000 There's been some debate inside sort of the Trump camp over whether there should be a mugshot or there shouldn't be a mugshot.
00:00:31.000 Apparently, according to Time Magazine and Michael Isikoff, it's unlikely that he is going to be mugshotted, that he will actually be, he might be spared that.
00:00:39.000 Trump's team apparently wants the mugshot for publicity purposes.
00:00:43.000 Hogan Gidley, who is a part of Trump's re-elect efforts, he has suggested that it will be the most manly mugshot of all time.
00:00:50.000 I'm not kidding, that's an actual quote from Hogan.
00:00:53.000 Apparently, the judge in this particular case has already ruled, his name is Murchin, he has already ruled that no cameras will be allowed in the courtroom aside from a brief still photo spray before the arraignment begins, which is a departure from the normal no cameras period procedure that is usually inside the courthouse, but it's a far cry from the live video coverage the media outlets actually wanted.
00:01:12.000 Unclear at this point whether cameras will be allowed, as usual, inside the courthouse hallways.
00:01:17.000 At 10.30am, there's a rally for Trump that Marjorie Taylor Greene is holding.
00:01:21.000 At 11am, that is when Trump is going to surrender.
00:01:24.000 He will be moved to the internally connected courthouse.
00:01:26.000 He's not going to go outside.
00:01:28.000 Again, not clear exactly what is going to be evident.
00:01:31.000 There's not going to be a perp walk.
00:01:32.000 He's not going to be handcuffed.
00:01:33.000 It's not as though he's going to be frog-marched into the building.
00:01:37.000 According to Rolling Stone, Trump World is trying to play this up.
00:01:40.000 Now, again, take everything Rolling Stone says with a giant block of salt, not just a grain of salt, a giant block of salt, because Rolling Stone is often wrong.
00:01:46.000 But according to their reporting, quote, it's kind of a Jesus Christ thing he is saying.
00:01:50.000 I'm absorbing all this pain from all around, from everywhere, so you don't have to.
00:01:53.000 At 2.15, Trump is expected to plead not guilty in front of the judge.
00:01:57.000 The defendant typically doesn't speak.
00:01:59.000 The lawyer just says not guilty, and then they move on with the process.
00:02:02.000 At 3.30 p.m.
00:02:03.000 today, Alvin Bragg, the DA who's bringing these charges, his 34-count indictment, is going to hold a news conference.
00:02:09.000 He's going to speak publicly about the indictment for the first time, although he's been quite leaky, as we'll get to in a moment.
00:02:14.000 And then at 8.15 p.m.
00:02:15.000 tonight, Trump is going to deliver remarks over at Mar-a-Lago.
00:02:19.000 A lot of his allies are going to show up.
00:02:22.000 He'll presumably pack that ballroom again, the same place where he gave his original speech announcing his run.
00:02:30.000 So that is the order of the day.
00:02:32.000 All of this, of course, followed hard on the insane media coverage yesterday, in which we basically got Donald Trump's plane leaving Mar-a-Lago treated essentially like O.J.
00:02:43.000 Simpson's Ford Bronco back during the NBA finals.
00:02:48.000 It was pretty amazing.
00:02:49.000 So we begin with Trump leaving Mar-a-Lago.
00:02:52.000 A lot of his supporters lined the roads, as you would imagine.
00:02:54.000 Again, this is a bizarrely An horrifically historic moment when the party in power or members of the party in power decide to indict the opposition leader.
00:03:04.000 Donald Trump is, by every available polling metric, the frontrunner in the Republican nomination race.
00:03:09.000 He is the former president of the United States and possibly the future president of the United States.
00:03:13.000 And now he's arrested in New York for crimes that are extremely flimsy.
00:03:18.000 His supporters lined the road near Mar-a-Lago.
00:03:20.000 There was some tape that Eric Trump, his son, released on the Twitters.
00:03:25.000 You can see a big line of cars.
00:03:27.000 People parked and lining the roads with their Trump flags and all of this.
00:03:31.000 Again, the area near Mar-a-Lago and near the Palm Beach Airport is going to be pretty heavy Trump territory.
00:03:36.000 Not a big shock there.
00:03:38.000 Much smaller crowds showed up in Manhattan outside of Trump Tower to greet him as he actually showed up at Trump Tower.
00:03:43.000 Here's some video of Trump arriving at Trump Tower.
00:03:47.000 Tonight, former President Donald Trump waving as he arrived in New York, where less than 24 hours from now, he is due to surrender to face criminal charges.
00:03:56.000 His journey from Mar-a-Lago receiving live coverage on cable TV, supporters lining the route to cheer.
00:04:04.000 After landing in New York, streets were blocked off to make way for his motorcade.
00:04:09.000 Tomorrow, the former president will become just another criminal defendant on the downtown docket.
00:04:16.000 Yeah, sure.
00:04:18.000 Just another criminal defendant.
00:04:19.000 Well done there.
00:04:20.000 ABC News.
00:04:21.000 What was amazing is that the media apparently have learned nothing from giving Trump billions of dollars in free political coverage in 2015-2016.
00:04:29.000 Again, the media are going whole hog wall to wall on the cover.
00:04:32.000 Listen, you can imagine why.
00:04:35.000 Trump is an amazing story.
00:04:36.000 He's an amazing story.
00:04:37.000 He's always been an amazing story.
00:04:39.000 He is the greatest political story that we have seen in our lifetime.
00:04:42.000 He is a person who went from being a real estate magnate on the cover of Playboy to being a person who ran for president without any prior political experience, somehow won, pulled an inside straight and beat Hillary Clinton.
00:04:54.000 Then proceeded to run against the entire media and his own law enforcement apparatus, who was targeting him for destruction during his administration.
00:05:03.000 Lost to a dead man in 2020 after a worldwide pandemic and massive, most damaging riots in American history.
00:05:10.000 January 6th, and now he's being indicted in the middle of a race where he is the current Republican frontrunner.
00:05:15.000 I mean, if this were a novel, you would not actually believe this was happening.
00:05:20.000 Because, again, this would be a bad novel, but it is, in fact, reality.
00:05:24.000 So there's a reason why the media are covering this stuff wall-to-wall.
00:05:26.000 You can't exactly blame them.
00:05:28.000 Although I will say that watching all four networks simultaneously covering Donald Trump's plane on the runway was kind of absurd.
00:05:35.000 Here is some cable news coverage of Donald Trump's plane.
00:05:39.000 We are going to continue our live coverage here as we see Trump's private aircraft there at Palm Beach International Airport getting ready for takeoff.
00:05:46.000 Look, it's a plane, guys.
00:05:46.000 As we are just talking about this story overall, the broad spectrum of what we are witnessing here.
00:05:53.000 That plane has made a plane.
00:05:55.000 Definitely a moment in history.
00:05:56.000 A presidential candidate.
00:05:58.000 Two hour, two and a half hour flight up to New York.
00:05:59.000 Just watch that plane the whole way, guys.
00:06:04.000 Again, the media, listen, the media are getting everything they want out of this.
00:06:09.000 It makes it much more likely that Trump is the nominee to keep him at the center of the news, because the media essentially treat Republicans the way that I treat my three-year-old when I want her to eat her vegetables.
00:06:17.000 Don't eat those vegetables.
00:06:18.000 Don't eat them.
00:06:18.000 Those are my vegetables.
00:06:19.000 Don't eat the vegetables.
00:06:20.000 I'll eat the vegetables.
00:06:21.000 That's kind of what the media have been doing with regard to Trump.
00:06:24.000 Don't nominate him.
00:06:25.000 We don't want you to nominate him.
00:06:26.000 We want to jail him.
00:06:28.000 You want to nominate him?
00:06:30.000 There's some of that going on.
00:06:31.000 But it is also true that the media are getting inordinate ratings.
00:06:34.000 I mean, Trump was absolutely right when he said that the media infrastructure depends on him being at the center of the news.
00:06:39.000 We'll get some more on this in just one moment.
00:06:41.000 First, Let's talk about the fact that Joe Biden's economy... Remember that time that Joe Biden's economy was relevant to your life?
00:06:47.000 Because actually it is.
00:06:48.000 Remember how that economy is terrible?
00:06:49.000 And how inflation has taken a serious toll on your ability to, you know, actually support your family and buy things?
00:06:55.000 And it's also taking a toll on the stock market.
00:06:57.000 Well, this would be one reason to diversify.
00:07:00.000 Diversification has never been more important.
00:07:01.000 The recent surge in gold prices is directly tied to an extremely volatile market.
00:07:05.000 This is why gold has historically been a great hedge against the stock market and against inflation as well.
00:07:09.000 The company I trust to help you diversify in gold is Birch Gold Group.
00:07:12.000 I bought gold from Birch Gold because I would like a safety net for my family.
00:07:15.000 You can do the same thing.
00:07:17.000 Text Ben to 989898.
00:07:18.000 Get a free info kit on gold today that will help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax-sheltered IRA in physical precious metals.
00:07:24.000 I have an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau.
00:07:26.000 Thousands of happy customers.
00:07:27.000 Countless five-star reviews.
00:07:28.000 Birch Gold is the company I trust to protect my own future and yours as well.
00:07:32.000 That is Ben to 989898.
00:07:34.000 Today, diversification is just a smart, savvy investment strategy.
00:07:37.000 Everybody should do it.
00:07:38.000 You should do it as well.
00:07:39.000 Text Ben to 989898 to get started with my friends over at Birch Gold today.
00:07:43.000 Okay, so.
00:07:45.000 Again, Trump left the Mar-a-Lago compound around noon yesterday, and he traveled in that motorcade, and he wrote on social media Sunday night, quote, on Tuesday morning, I will be going to, believe it or not, the courthouse.
00:07:55.000 America was not supposed to be this way.
00:07:57.000 New York City officials, warning of road closures, they say they are deploying extra officers in Manhattan during Trump's visit.
00:08:04.000 Because Marjorie Taylor Greene is showing up in New York, because, again, there are a lot of people who are going to make a lot of money off of this particular incident.
00:08:12.000 I don't blame Marjorie Taylor Greene for showing up to rally for Trump.
00:08:15.000 Frankly, I don't blame the media for covering this.
00:08:17.000 It is fascinating.
00:08:18.000 There's no question about that.
00:08:19.000 But to pretend that there aren't incentive structures in place that have caused this to happen in the first place.
00:08:24.000 That the left is not doing this for a reason.
00:08:25.000 They are absolutely doing this for a reason.
00:08:27.000 They're indicting Trump on flimsy charges because they had to.
00:08:30.000 Because they've been saying for years that he is a criminal.
00:08:32.000 And they have not fulfilled that promise to their base.
00:08:34.000 Simultaneously, they are hoping to elevate Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race.
00:08:37.000 And they are achieving that effect.
00:08:39.000 The polling data right now has Trump up significantly.
00:08:42.000 In the 2024 primaries.
00:08:44.000 This is presumably exactly what the media want.
00:08:46.000 Again, they are not dum-dums.
00:08:48.000 They know exactly what they're doing.
00:08:50.000 So the money is on their side.
00:08:51.000 The politics is on their side.
00:08:53.000 And folks on the right, obviously, are resonating to Trump's cause because they feel correctly that he is being unfairly targeted.
00:09:00.000 So, Marjorie Taylor Greene is showing up in New York, and this is causing Eric Adams, the garbage mayor of New York, to rip into Marjorie Taylor Greene.
00:09:07.000 Adams actually called her out and said, we just want her to keep things peaceful.
00:09:10.000 First of all, that'd be the first time anyone in New York has not committed a serious, violent crime on the streets if Marjorie Taylor did not.
00:09:17.000 It seems like that city, that hellhole of a city that is now run almost entirely by pizza rats, is probably safer with Marjorie Taylor Greene and her friends showing up.
00:09:26.000 But Eric Adams is very wary, obviously.
00:09:29.000 While there may be some rabble-rousers thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, our message is clear and simple.
00:09:38.000 Control yourselves.
00:09:40.000 New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger.
00:09:46.000 We are the safest large city in America because we respect the rule of law in New York City.
00:09:53.000 And although we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known to spread misinformation and hate speech, she stated she's coming to town.
00:10:05.000 While you're in town, be on your best behavior.
00:10:11.000 This is a city that deeply respects the rule of law and wouldn't want your misplaced anger to, you know, shatter all the windows on Fifth Avenue during a 2020 Black Lives Matter riot.
00:10:19.000 You definitely would want to make sure they're not shoving people in front of subways.
00:10:21.000 Marjorie Taylor Greene.
00:10:23.000 It's so ridiculous.
00:10:24.000 Again, do you ever get the...
00:10:27.000 Feeling that so much of this is like W. W. E. K. Fobby or however it's pronounced.
00:10:33.000 This is this is this is all basically just play acting.
00:10:37.000 So much of this is bizarre play.
00:10:40.000 It's it doesn't feel authentic.
00:10:42.000 It feels like Eric Adams is playing a part and he feels like Marjorie Taylor Greene is playing a part as well.
00:10:46.000 Everybody's playing their part here.
00:10:48.000 The only problem is, of course, all of this has real ramifications for American politics.
00:10:51.000 All this has real ramifications for the future of the country.
00:10:54.000 Your political class is not playing in the same sandbox that you are.
00:10:58.000 All you would like to do is go about your life and not be bothered by these doofi.
00:11:02.000 The plural of doofus is in the Latin.
00:11:04.000 But apparently you're not going to be allowed to.
00:11:05.000 It's just amazing.
00:11:06.000 Marjorie Taylor Greene, correctly, goes after Eric Adams.
00:11:09.000 She tweeted out, delusional.
00:11:10.000 New York mayor is trying to intimidate, threaten, and stop me from using my First Amendment rights to peacefully protest the Democrats' unconstitutional weaponization of our justice system against our top Republican presidential candidate, President Trump.
00:11:20.000 Mary Adams should be more concerned about New York citizens and taxpayers being murdered, raped, robbed, and carjacked than an elected member of Congress coming to town.
00:11:27.000 Or should I be the one concerned that the mayor of New York will weaponize his government or maybe his thugs like DA Alvin Bragg against me?
00:11:32.000 And not an unfair critique there from Marjorie Taylor Greene.
00:11:35.000 Meanwhile, again, in all of this WWE play acting, Michael Cohen, who is the chief witness for the prosecution, presumably, in this particular case, he's just appearing on the mainstream media, which is always what we do in criminal cases.
00:11:47.000 It's always great when you have the key witnesses in criminal cases who have been convicted of perjury appearing on MSNBC, which is a network that hates the person who is now under indictment, talking about Donald Trump's crowd size at Trump Tower and mocking it.
00:12:00.000 Yeah, these are all very serious people engaging in very serious business.
00:12:04.000 Or alternatively, this is all just ginned up political activist nonsense that is designed to polarize America politically for the gain of political elites.
00:12:15.000 Well, if there's so many people concerned, why aren't they out in the streets today?
00:12:20.000 Yeah, they certainly weren't.
00:12:22.000 I mean, that was, I don't know, it looked like a bake sale over at a high school football game.
00:12:27.000 It didn't, I mean... Do you think that's because people are deterred by how many people have gotten in trouble?
00:12:33.000 Supporting him?
00:12:34.000 Meaning criminal trouble?
00:12:35.000 Or do you think he's lost some of that heat?
00:12:37.000 Oh, I believe he lost a lot of the heat.
00:12:39.000 I truly don't believe that the popularity of Donald Trump is where it was six months ago or a year ago.
00:12:51.000 I'm sorry, this is all, it just feels fake, right?
00:12:53.000 It doesn't feel real.
00:12:55.000 Now, it is very real for Donald Trump because, you know, now that he's getting indicted in Manhattan, he could actually go to jail.
00:13:00.000 In the high likelihood, we spoke to Professor Alan Dershowitz, who's sort of part of the Trump advisory team.
00:13:04.000 He suggested that if Trump actually does his trial in Manhattan proper, a Manhattan jury will probably convict him of pretty much anything.
00:13:12.000 So they're real consequences for them.
00:13:13.000 They're real consequences for the country.
00:13:14.000 But our political class, it doesn't feel like they're real consequences for any of this.
00:13:18.000 It just feels like they're using their power in order to achieve particular purposes, more money for themselves, more power for themselves, a more polarized political environment in which they can get away with legitimately anything.
00:13:29.000 And that feeling is exacerbated by the fact that they apparently do not want Americans to see much about what is going on inside the courtroom.
00:13:36.000 There's a lot of talk today about a gag order being placed inside the courtroom, which would prevent Americans from actually seeing what's happening, which would, of course, lead to a thousand conspiracy theories blooming.
00:13:45.000 Get to that momentarily first.
00:13:46.000 The situation in Ukraine continues to be really bad for people on the ground.
00:13:48.000 No matter what you think of the war in Ukraine, for the people who are actually on the ground, they are suffering very, very much.
00:13:53.000 Jews in Ukraine are celebrating Passover once more.
00:13:56.000 It is coming up.
00:13:56.000 Passover begins tomorrow night.
00:13:58.000 And a lot of people in Ukraine on the ground, Holocaust survivors, Jews living in Ukraine, actually can't get the Passover supplies that they need.
00:14:03.000 The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews has been in Ukraine every day since the war began.
00:14:08.000 The Fellowship's partners and volunteers are on the ground right now.
00:14:10.000 They need your help to reach even more Jewish lives with life-saving food.
00:14:13.000 Even today, the need for Passover meals has reached levels never seen before.
00:14:16.000 Not only are they helping elderly Jews in harm's way in Ukraine, they're also caring for orphaned kids, families, and Holocaust survivors living in extreme poverty throughout Israel and the former Soviet Union.
00:14:24.000 With a gift of just $25, they'll help provide one recipient with a Passover food box filled with matzah and other special Seder foods, plus Today, they have a special matching challenge opportunity.
00:14:33.000 Your gift will double in impact.
00:14:34.000 When you give 25 bucks, it doubles in impact to 50 bucks.
00:14:36.000 Go to BenForTheFellowship.org or call 800-331-3737.
00:14:41.000 Make a gift of just 25 bucks to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
00:14:45.000 Help rush a Passover food box to a needy person in Ukraine right now.
00:14:48.000 That's BenForTheFellowship.org or call 800-331-3737.
00:14:49.000 Okay, so.
00:14:53.000 All of this, obviously, is helping Donald Trump in terms of his fundraising.
00:14:58.000 According to Trump aide Jason Miller, the campaign has raised $8 million since news of the indictment broke, which is a pretty solid number.
00:15:06.000 Meanwhile, they've added, has the Trump team, a new lawyer, Todd Blanche, who's been a partner at the firm Cadwallader, Wickersham, and Taft, pretty significant law firm.
00:15:16.000 And he has experience representing defendants in Trump's orbit, including, particularly, Paul Manafort.
00:15:20.000 So again, it's the same set of lawyers who tend to defend the same set of people.
00:15:25.000 Trump's current lawyers, Susan Ishellis and Joe Tacopina, remain on the team.
00:15:28.000 Tacopina is also set to defend Trump in a civil trial later this month on allegations by an advice columnist, E. Jean Carroll, who alleges that Trump raped her in a dressing room.
00:15:38.000 In the mid-1990s.
00:15:40.000 Meanwhile, one of Trump's attorneys, Alina Haba, is accusing the Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg, of actually leaking the charges and accusing Alvin Bragg of a felony.
00:15:51.000 We'll get to the contents of the charges in just a moment.
00:15:55.000 A gag order to silence a candidate, the leading candidate, number one.
00:15:58.000 Number two, to silence the defendant in a case where the plaintiff, the state of New York, the D.A.
00:16:06.000 Bragg, has leaked.
00:16:08.000 And we know this for a fact because we don't have the indictment.
00:16:11.000 He leaked 30 to 34 indictments.
00:16:13.000 How do we know that?
00:16:14.000 We know that because it came from their camp.
00:16:15.000 And it could only come from their camp.
00:16:17.000 And that, by the way, Benny, is a felony.
00:16:21.000 Okay, so what exactly did Alvin Bragg leak at this point?
00:16:24.000 So again, it's unsubstantial where exactly the leak came from, but leaks by their very nature generally have to come from people with knowledge of the charges.
00:16:31.000 Presumably Trump's team has already been informed of the charges as well, so the leak could have come from Team Trump, unclear at this point.
00:16:36.000 However, what we now know is that Trump will be placed under arrest on Tuesday and informed that he's been charged with 34 felony counts for falsifications of business records.
00:16:43.000 They're all felonies that he's being charged with, according to Michael Isikoff, who is reporting for Yahoo News.
00:16:49.000 A New York City police arrest report summarizing the charges against Trump will be prepared and entered into the court system before he goes to the courtroom to be formally arraigned on the charges, none of which are misdemeanors.
00:16:58.000 Again, it appears that he's not going to be handcuffed or put in a jail cell or subjected to a mugshot at this point.
00:17:04.000 The charge of falsification of business records can be prosecuted in New York State as a misdemeanor, but Bragg bumped all of those charges to Class E felonies.
00:17:11.000 That's the lowest level of felony in the New York State Penal Code, on the grounds that the conduct was intended to conceal another underlying crime.
00:17:17.000 According to the source, under that New York State Penal Code, a conviction for a Class E felony of falsifying business records could result in a prison term of up to four years.
00:17:24.000 That seems extremely unlikely.
00:17:26.000 According to law enforcement officials, they say no one gets jail time for that as a first offender.
00:17:31.000 That'd be like one charge though.
00:17:33.000 So presumably it would be falsification of a lot of business records?
00:17:36.000 Is that sort of the idea?
00:17:37.000 Unclear whether if you are convicted of falsification of a lot of business records, the sentences run concurrently, or if Trump would get any sort of jail time.
00:17:45.000 Again, all this is up in the air.
00:17:47.000 We haven't even seen the indictment yet.
00:17:49.000 Trump, for his part, went on Truth Social, and he put out a statement saying, wow, District Attorney Bragg just illegally leaked the various points and complete information on a pathetic indictment against me.
00:17:58.000 I know the reporter, and so, unfortunately, does he.
00:17:59.000 That means he must immediately be indicted.
00:18:02.000 Now, if he really wants to clean up his reputation, he will do the honorable thing and, as District Attorney, indict himself.
00:18:06.000 He'll go down in judicial history, and his Trump-hating wife will be, I am sure, very proud of him.
00:18:12.000 That is unlikely to happen, but you know, again, not a bad talking point for Donald Trump.
00:18:19.000 Trump's lawyers at the moment are opposing cameras in the courtroom.
00:18:22.000 They say that it leads to a circus-like atmosphere.
00:18:25.000 If you are, in fact, Trump's team, I'm surprised at this.
00:18:28.000 I think that you would probably want more cameras in the courtroom because you actually don't want people Lying about what's happening inside the courtroom, if you don't trust the system.
00:18:37.000 Apparently, Trump's attorney said on Monday that there is no scenario in which the Manhattan judge presiding over the ex-commander-in-chief's arraignment on Tuesday would impose a gag order.
00:18:45.000 That's what Joe Tacopina told Fox News host Sean Hannity.
00:18:47.000 He said, can't happen, won't happen.
00:18:49.000 I don't believe he's even looking for that.
00:18:51.000 Which, I certainly hope that's the case.
00:18:53.000 A gag order in this case would be absolutely absurd.
00:18:56.000 It would basically just be a pretext to hit Trump with another charge.
00:19:00.000 Because it is perfectly obvious that Trump is going to talk about the case against him publicly.
00:19:04.000 He is a candidate for President of the United States and the leading candidate on the right side of the aisle.
00:19:09.000 So I'm glad to hear that.
00:19:10.000 I hope that that is true.
00:19:11.000 I hope that there is no gag order.
00:19:13.000 A gag order in this case would be particularly absurd on every available level.
00:19:18.000 Now, again, Democrats are very, very eager about all of this.
00:19:23.000 Not only because you can sense the kind of glee in their eyes, but also because they are achieving all of their purposes.
00:19:28.000 I will say it once more.
00:19:29.000 They're boosting Trump in the primaries and they're making a buttload of money off of this whole situation.
00:19:34.000 This is like all their dreams coming true.
00:19:36.000 We'll get to them sort of smiling through their tears momentarily.
00:19:40.000 First, let's talk about the fact that all of this stuff is very tiring.
00:19:44.000 It's very tiring.
00:19:45.000 And I'll tell you what is not great for your skin quality, and that is lack of sleep.
00:19:48.000 So for me, when I don't sleep well, I get the big bags under my eyes, just something that must be a genetic thing.
00:19:53.000 Not sure why that is, but this is why I rely on GenuCell skincare.

00:20:43.000 That's G-E-N-U-C-E-L.com slash Shapiro.
00:20:46.000 Okay, so.
00:20:47.000 The predictable result of all of this is that Trump has really bumped in the polls.
00:20:52.000 He is supposed to speak, as I say, a little bit later tonight after the arraignment.
00:20:56.000 He's going to be speaking at 8.15 tonight from Mar-a-Lago.
00:21:01.000 And presumably he is going to, again, sort of hit the system very hard.
00:21:07.000 This stuff is very good for Trump because Trump's entire campaign is basically they're coming after me so that they're not coming after you, right?
00:21:14.000 That I am here.
00:21:15.000 I'm just in the way.
00:21:15.000 They're coming after you.
00:21:16.000 That's literally what his profile says on Truth Social right now.
00:21:19.000 The problem is that everything that's elevating him in the primaries right now is also denting him in the general.
00:21:24.000 There are not a lot of voters out there who are like, man, I really didn't like Trump the first couple of times.
00:21:29.000 I really, I was okay with Trump the first time.
00:21:30.000 I didn't vote for him the second time, but now that he's been indicted, I'm totally back in his camp.
00:21:34.000 The number of swing voters who move into somebody's camp because they are indicted is fairly low.
00:21:40.000 And that's particularly true if there are more indictments on the way.
00:21:42.000 There's, again, another case that is percolating over in Georgia about election interference from 2020.
00:21:48.000 According to the current polling data, the CNN poll released on Monday, it found that 60% of Americans approve of the indictment.
00:21:53.000 Support for the indictment fell along party lines.
00:21:55.000 94% of Democrats approved of the decision to indict Trump.
00:21:59.000 79% of Republicans disapproved of the decision to indict.
00:22:02.000 But here is the big stat.
00:22:03.000 62% of independents approved of the decision to indict Trump.
00:22:06.000 Those are not great numbers if you're hoping for a general election victory for Donald Trump.
00:22:11.000 The fact that 62% of the people who declare themselves independent say that they are in favor of him being legally prosecuted is probably not a great sign for his re-elect efforts in a general election.
00:22:21.000 An ABC News Ipsos poll released on Sunday found 45% of Americans believe Trump should be charged with a crime.
00:22:26.000 32% say he should not be charged.
00:22:28.000 Again, this is just a proxy for essentially public approval rating because nobody knows what's actually in the indictment.
00:22:33.000 Those of us who've been following it pretty closely, it's pretty obvious that he shouldn't be indicted.
00:22:37.000 Again, even the New York Times is admitting it's a novel legal theory that's being tried out right now.
00:22:40.000 So when they ask the general public, do you like the indictment?
00:22:43.000 What they're really asking is, do you hate Donald Trump so much that you think he should go to jail?
00:22:47.000 Maybe.
00:22:48.000 And a lot of people are like, yeah, probably.
00:22:51.000 There's a Quinnipiac poll that was conducted before the news of the indictment.
00:22:55.000 62% of Americans in that poll thought the indictment was mainly motivated by politics.
00:23:00.000 Doesn't matter.
00:23:01.000 Majority of people still said that Trump should be indicted, even though it was politics.
00:23:05.000 Again, this is not a poll on people's legal opinions of the underlying matters at issue.
00:23:11.000 People don't even know what those are.
00:23:12.000 People don't understand how these charges work.
00:23:15.000 All they are saying is, should Trump go to jail?
00:23:16.000 And a lot of people are saying yes.
00:23:18.000 Now, none of those people are inside the Republican Party, which is, again, presumably what the Democrats want from all of this.
00:23:23.000 It is not a coincidence that it is right in the middle of this.
00:23:26.000 The Democrats on Monday released a 500-page op-ed drop on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
00:23:32.000 American Bridge 21st Century, which is one of the largest tracking and research groups in progressive politics, compiled the trove.
00:23:37.000 They released it as a website after spending one year gathering data on DeSantis to brand him as a quote-unquote MAGA extremist.
00:23:44.000 Now, again, if you are a Democrat and you actually cared about the country and you think that Trump truly is a fascist, Hitlerian figure who is going to, if he were on the brink of victory, wreck the country, wouldn't you want somebody else to get nominated?
00:23:55.000 But no, the reality is that Democrats want Trump nominated because they think he will be easy to beat, which is why you drop a 500-page oppo dump on his chief opposition inside the Republican Party in a primary, like in the middle of this news cycle.
00:24:05.000 That is the only reason that you do this.
00:24:08.000 Meanwhile, the Trump team is putting out ads against DeSantis as well.
00:24:10.000 hoping to convince voters that DeSantis is caught up in culture wars, unfit for office, utterly unprepared for the public pressure that comes with a contentious Republican presidential primary.
00:24:18.000 Meanwhile, the Trump team is putting out ads against DeSantis as well.
00:24:23.000 A Trump super PAC put out an ad on DeSantis and their chief hit on DeSantis is that he is not far left enough.
00:24:28.000 And this is the beauty of being Donald Trump is that you can legitimately hit everybody Nobody expects any sort of positional consistency from President Trump's campaign.
00:24:37.000 So here you have President Trump's campaign smacking Ron DeSantis from the far left.
00:24:42.000 You know Ron DeSantis?
00:24:44.000 Think again.
00:24:46.000 In Congress, DeSantis voted three separate times to cut Social Security.
00:24:50.000 That's right, three times over three years.
00:24:54.000 Worse, DeSantis voted to cut Medicare two times.
00:24:58.000 DeSantis even voted to raise the retirement age to 70.
00:25:01.000 The more you learn about DeSantis, the more you see he doesn't share our values.
00:25:06.000 He's just not ready to be president.
00:25:11.000 Yeah, apparently our values are endless entitlement programs.
00:25:14.000 That's exciting to learn inside the Republican Party, where I've spent literally my entire political career.
00:25:20.000 The traditional Republican line was that entitlement programs actually do need to be restructured at a certain point because we are going to go bankrupt.
00:25:27.000 Everyone literally knows this, but apparently this is now an attack ad on Ron DeSantis from Donald Trump's campaign.
00:25:33.000 I say it again, it is very, very obvious who the left would like to see be the nominee.
00:25:37.000 They're not hiding the ball here.
00:25:39.000 They're not pretending.
00:25:40.000 They're elevating President Trump because they think he'll be easy to beat.
00:25:43.000 Now again, it could be that this is all karmic revenge.
00:25:46.000 That they're going to do the same thing they did in 2016.
00:25:47.000 They're going to do what Hillary did.
00:25:48.000 They're going to handpick their own nominee on the Republican side.
00:25:51.000 And then Donald Trump is going to swoop in like an avenging angel and he's going to just mop the floor with these people.
00:25:56.000 That could theoretically happen.
00:25:58.000 Is that a likely thing to happen?
00:26:00.000 If you look at all of the available data, I would say it's a pretty unlikely thing to happen, considering that Trump has not gotten more popular since 2020.
00:26:07.000 He's gotten significantly less popular since 2020 by every available public opinion poll.
00:26:11.000 That doesn't mean that Trump can't win.
00:26:12.000 It just means he's not super duper likely to win, which is precisely why Democrats are pushing him.
00:26:16.000 So if you are a Republican, you can do two things at once.
00:26:19.000 One, you can support him against a bunch of Confabulated charges against him.
00:26:25.000 You can.
00:26:25.000 You can do that.
00:26:26.000 You should do that.
00:26:27.000 You should say these charges are nonsense.
00:26:28.000 This appears to be a weaponization of the justice system against a person Democrats just hate when people go into office claiming they're going to prosecute people before even deciding what the crime is.
00:26:38.000 That is obviously a perversion of our justice system.
00:26:41.000 You can say all those things.
00:26:42.000 You can also say, I'm not sure that this is the guy who is best calibrated to actually be the Republican nominee.
00:26:48.000 But that kind of cognitive dissonance is apparently beyond a lot of conservative voters.
00:26:52.000 And again, I get it.
00:26:53.000 It's the middle of this issue.
00:26:55.000 Trump is the center of the story.
00:26:57.000 All I'm saying is, it is currently April of 2023.
00:27:00.000 You might want to take a think about who is likely to win a victory against the Democratic agenda.
00:27:06.000 The person who is less likely to win the general or the person who is more likely to win the general.
00:27:09.000 It is very obvious, once again, who the Democrats are afraid of.
00:27:12.000 I mean, Ron DeSantis right now is being attacked by Bob Iger and Disney for a reason.
00:27:16.000 That is not happening because they are in favor of Ron DeSantis.
00:27:20.000 It's happening because they don't like Ron DeSantis.
00:27:22.000 They think that DeSantis is a dangerous figure.
00:27:23.000 They think he's actually an effective executive.
00:27:26.000 This is the thing that drives me absolutely nuts right now about the Republican Party.
00:27:31.000 There's a battle within the Republican Party not about Really principles, but sort of about what it is that we are here to do.
00:27:39.000 Are we here to win actual policy victories in which we're able to roll back the perverse program of the radical left?
00:27:45.000 Or are you here to make yourself feel good through a sort of Cathartic support for a person because you like the guy.
00:27:54.000 I get it.
00:27:54.000 I totally get it.
00:27:55.000 I'm with you.
00:27:56.000 I agree that this what we are seeing right now in Manhattan is a travesty and it is setting the predicate for a for a true crack up in the country.
00:28:06.000 I agree with all of those things.
00:28:07.000 Also, you should vote for the person who's most likely to beat the Democrats, because guess what?
00:28:11.000 Their agenda continues apace.
00:28:12.000 They are not stopping for one iota.
00:28:14.000 They're not stopping for one millisecond in pushing for the most radical agenda we have ever seen.
00:28:19.000 And the more we're talking about Republicans, the less we are talking about that radical agenda.
00:28:23.000 What is that radical agenda?
00:28:25.000 Well, yesterday, literally yesterday, senior officials in the Biden administration hosted a roundtable at the White House about affirming trans kids.
00:28:33.000 United States Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and White House Domestic Policy Council Director Susan Rice hosted a number of trans kids and their parents on Friday to discuss efforts in some states to ban so-called sex change surgeries for minors, according to the Daily Wire.
00:28:46.000 Attendees discussed the joys, hopes, and challenges associated with their supposed identities.
00:28:50.000 A readout of the meeting from the White House said, quote, As one roundtable participant shared, it feels scary when the politicians elected to represent you don't care about your well-being.
00:28:57.000 Families participating in today's roundtable highlighted transgender kids can thrive when parents love and affirm their trans children and when trans kids have access to the support they need at their schools and in their communities.
00:29:09.000 Your your child's teacher is going to pick their agenda.
00:29:09.000 That's right.
00:29:12.000 Definitely we should vote based on what feels good and not based on stopping these people and their perverse agenda.
00:29:18.000 Or, theoretically, we could try to stop them.
00:29:19.000 It seems like trying to stop them would be a more important thing to do.
00:29:24.000 How radical and insane is this agenda?
00:29:25.000 Again, they're doing this in the midst of a news cycle in which a trans person, a person who is a girl who declared that she was a man, decided to murder a bunch of Christian school kids.
00:29:33.000 Have you heard one statement from the White House about the targeting of Christians on the basis of hatred for biblical doctrine?
00:29:40.000 Because that's what happened there.
00:29:41.000 Have you heard one thing about that from the White House?
00:29:43.000 Not a word.
00:29:44.000 Not a word.
00:29:45.000 Instead, what you have heard is them come out in full-scale support of the transgender agenda.
00:29:51.000 And meanwhile, we are finding out that the shooter in this particular mass shooting had been preparing this thing for months.
00:30:00.000 According to NBC Philadelphia, police have not established a motive for the shooting.
00:30:03.000 Oh, well, it's probably a big mystery wrapped in enigma and all.
00:30:06.000 Both Nashville police and the FBI continue to review writings left behind by the shooter, both in the shooter's vehicle and home.
00:30:13.000 It is known that the shooter considered the actions of other mass murderers according to the police.
00:30:17.000 They know perfectly well what is happening here.
00:30:23.000 I'm generally in favor of not saying the names of shooters, which is why I still have not said the name of the shooter.
00:30:27.000 I'm also in favor, generally, of not releasing the manifestos of shooters.
00:30:29.000 But it doesn't work in the sense that if you are going to release manifestos from one side but not manifestos from the other side in order to shield the political agenda of one side, that's not how any of this is supposed to work.
00:30:40.000 What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
00:30:42.000 It has to be one rule for everyone when it comes to these manifestos.
00:30:46.000 And there's a reason they're not releasing this manifesto yet, and I think we all know what that reason is.
00:30:50.000 And it's because the White House is pushing the same ideological agenda that boys can become girls and that it is an act of quote-unquote genocide to deny that.
00:30:58.000 That presumably is what the shooter in this particular case thought, and that's an uncomfortable thing for the media and for the left to have to deal with.
00:31:06.000 Meanwhile, the entire culture is pushing it.
00:31:07.000 It's not literally the entire culture.
00:31:08.000 Wall to wall is pushing the same absurd agenda.
00:31:12.000 Get to that momentarily.
00:31:13.000 First, with all this stuff going on in the world right now, sleep is hard to come by.
00:31:16.000 This is why you need the world's best mattress.
00:31:18.000 I recently traveled to Rome.

00:31:42.000 It is great.
00:31:49.000 Why would you buy a mattress made for somebody else?
00:31:51.000 I took that Helix quiz, I was matched with a firm but breathable model because I wanted something that actually felt that way.
00:31:56.000 I mean, I get back pain.
00:31:57.000 If not, go to helixsleep.com slash Ben, take that two-minute sleep quiz, find the perfect mattress for your body and sleep type as well.

00:32:17.000 Also, The Bible has, of course, had a profound impact on literacy, has influenced all aspects of society, from literature to art, culture to government, individual lives.
00:32:25.000 It's the most important book in human history.
00:32:27.000 Join Jordan Peterson in his special Logos and Literacy, where he traces the Bible through history to show you the impact it's had on the Western world.
00:32:34.000 I was very much struck by how the translation of the biblical writings jump-started the development of literacy across the entire world.
00:32:44.000 Illiteracy was the norm.
00:32:46.000 The pastor's home was the first school, and every morning it would begin with singing.
00:32:52.000 The Christian faith is a singing religion.
00:32:55.000 Probably 80% of scripture memorization today exists only because of what is sung.
00:33:00.000 This is amazing.
00:33:00.000 Here we have a Gutenberg Bible.
00:33:04.000 Bible printed on the press of Johann Gutenberg.
00:33:07.000 Science and religion are opposing forces in the world, but historically that has not been the case.
00:33:14.000 Now the book is available to everyone.
00:33:16.000 From Shakespeare to modern education and medicine and science to civilization itself.
00:33:25.000 It is the most influential book in all of history and hopefully people can walk away with at least a sense of that.
00:33:35.000 It's a phenomenal series, Logos and Literacy, free at dailywireplus.com right now, but only for a few more days.
00:33:40.000 Take advantage of your last chance to watch Logos and Literacy for free at dailywireplus.com.
00:33:44.000 Okay, meanwhile, one of the things that is driving me absolutely up a wall is the fact that as we have these contentious and important political battles about, say, Trump being indicted in New York, the left continues its steady cultural march in favor of true radicalism.
00:33:56.000 This is a target-rich environment for conservatives if they can actually chew gum and walk at the exact same time.
00:34:01.000 I mean, come on.
00:34:03.000 As we've been talking about, Bud Light has made Dylan Mulvaney, a man who pretends to be a little girl and dresses up as Audrey Hepburn, one of their brand spokespeople.
00:34:15.000 In a statement shared with Fox News, the brand now says that the collaboration was designed to quote, authentically connect with audiences.
00:34:20.000 The statement added, quote, from time to time, We produce unique commemorative cans for brand influencers like Dylan Mulvaney.
00:34:25.000 This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone.
00:34:28.000 What was the personal milestone?
00:34:29.000 Dylan Mulvaney spending 365 days pretending to be a woman, which is just, it's incredible.
00:34:37.000 Again, the woke bosses, the corporate bosses, they hate their customers and they want to change their customers.
00:34:42.000 They believe that their customers are a bunch of united fools and they need to be ushered into a new era.
00:34:47.000 We have reached the point where elite major institutions no longer fear market competition enough to actually have to subject themselves to the desires of their customers.
00:34:56.000 If you think that the average Bud Light customer, in other words, 95% male and almost 100% non-trans, We think they're desperately clamoring for Dylan Mulvaney as a spokesperson or brand influencer.
00:35:08.000 You're out of your mind.
00:35:10.000 But this got pitched inside the halls of Bud Light and they figured, OK, well, we'll get some earned media out of it and probably people will drink our piss water if we do this.
00:35:16.000 And there's no way that conservatives will stop drinking it because conservatives are too stupid to actually stop drinking this sort of stuff.
00:35:21.000 So here's the deal, folks.
00:35:22.000 Stop drinking Bud Light.
00:35:23.000 First of all, you shouldn't drink it because it's garbage.
00:35:25.000 Second of all, if you are going to drink a beer, pick literally any other beer.
00:35:28.000 And if the left says, well, you know, that beer also supports gay rights.
00:35:30.000 I mean, they tweeted back in 2020.
00:35:31.000 That's not the same thing.
00:35:33.000 You got to punish the brand that's in front of you right now.
00:35:35.000 The brand that is in front of you and currently pushing trans propaganda is Bud Light at a very high level.
00:35:40.000 And you should punish them for that.
00:35:41.000 You should punish them with whatever tools at hand.
00:35:43.000 And the best tool at hand right now is your is your pocketbook.
00:35:46.000 It is your it is your Credit card.
00:35:48.000 Do not spend it on Bud Light.
00:35:49.000 It is that simple because otherwise this is just going to continue.
00:35:53.000 And it's continuing again.
00:35:55.000 It is amazing the disconnect between major corporate America and their own customer base.
00:36:00.000 So as I say, Bud Light is geared toward essentially middle income to lower income white people.
00:36:08.000 White men.
00:36:09.000 OK, that is the chief constituency for Bud Light.
00:36:12.000 It's like frat boys who are 21.
00:36:15.000 And doing keg stands.
00:36:16.000 That's who Bud Light is for.
00:36:17.000 And they're like, oh, Dylan Mulvaney, perfect fit.
00:36:20.000 Or alternatively, they are trying to change how you think.
00:36:23.000 Same thing with the Country Music Awards.
00:36:26.000 So, country music, typically consumed by, you know, white people from rural America.
00:36:32.000 That's like where it is the biggest.
00:36:34.000 So you wouldn't think that the CMT Music Awards would be like the chief place where you would expect to see all sorts of trans propaganda.
00:36:46.000 And yet that is precisely what happened at the CMT Music Awards in Austin, Texas.
00:36:52.000 According to the Los Angeles Times, Kelsey Ballerini drew heat and praise Sunday night after featuring all-star drag queens from RuPaul's Drag Race during a colorful performance at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
00:37:03.000 The Peter Pan and This Feeling singer, who also co-hosted the fan-voted country music awards show, sang her new ride-or-die best friend anthem, If You Go Down, I'm Going Down Too, backed by a quartet of drag race stars dressed as glam mid-century housewives.
00:37:15.000 Because there's nothing quite like not only promoting the idea that men can be women, women can be men, and that it is an act of good for men to dress as women and prance about in ridiculously parodic fashion.
00:37:25.000 But also, you have to hijack all of the imagery from the 1950s and then use it against Americans.
00:37:30.000 That's the most important thing, is to hijack American history and then trans-American history.
00:37:35.000 That's the thing that's really important for a largely white, rural, conservative, and Christian audience.
00:37:40.000 This is what was happening at the CMT Music Awards on Sunday night.
00:37:43.000 Again, they will not stop until every aspect of the culture has been taken over.
00:37:46.000 Ridiculous.
00:37:57.000 I'm sorry, this is absurd.
00:37:58.000 This is crap from the Hunger Games now.
00:38:02.000 Come on.
00:38:04.000 This person is singing a country song while being surrounded by men dressed in ridiculous female garb from the 1950s.
00:38:14.000 Just, just absurd.
00:38:16.000 According to the Los Angeles Times, the live performance made quite the statement amid a brewing debate over anti-LGBTQ legislation in Ballerini's home state of Tennessee.
00:38:24.000 With this year's CMT Awards taking place at the Moody Center in Austin, Ballerini appeared emboldened to broadcast her political stance while she is- What a heroine.
00:38:32.000 What an absolute heroine.
00:38:34.000 And the fact that, by the way, she doesn't get to make that call on her own.
00:38:37.000 Presumably it's the people who produce the CMT Awards and the country music industry in general that seeks to promote all of this garbage.
00:38:43.000 Because they hate their audience.
00:38:45.000 The people who run these corporations hate their audience.
00:38:48.000 The very people they are supposed to cater to.
00:38:50.000 They think that you are a benighted homophobe who hates trans people, and you're a garbage person, and therefore you have to be preached to by the stars of RuPaul's Drag Race, our great moral exemplars in Western civilization.
00:39:01.000 The people, the most brave people, we have been told by the White House, are people who believe they're members of the opposite sex.
00:39:06.000 Those are the most brave people.
00:39:07.000 Small children who are confused about their gender.
00:39:09.000 The most brave people.
00:39:10.000 You know, we used to look up to Sports stars, successful business people, mom and dad, your local religious authority.
00:39:18.000 These are the people we used to look up to.
00:39:20.000 But now, the people we look up to are people who cross-dress and or pretend to actually be members of the opposite sex.
00:39:27.000 And every area of the culture must be activated along these lines.
00:39:30.000 Every area.
00:39:32.000 Which is why, presumably, you have Daniel Radcliffe, who, has he done anything since Harry Potter?
00:39:36.000 I'm not aware that he's done anything of note since Harry Potter.
00:39:39.000 Trying to promote the Trevor Project, which is a trans the kids organization.
00:39:45.000 Hi, I'm Dan Radcliffe.
00:39:47.000 This week I was incredibly fortunate to get to meet six young people who agreed to come and share their stories with us.
00:39:54.000 And also to have a conversation about allyship and the people in their lives who have shown up for them and made a positive impact on their lives and their journeys.
00:40:03.000 So, yeah.
00:40:03.000 I'm excited to share that conversation with you.
00:40:06.000 I would love to talk to you all if you're, depending on how much you want to say, but, like, I'd love to know about all your journeys and, like, discovering who you are.
00:40:15.000 And I'd also like to talk about some people in your life that may have helped or that you see as an ally in some way.
00:40:22.000 Like, could I ask you?
00:40:24.000 Is that throwing you into it too much?
00:40:24.000 Yeah.
00:40:25.000 But, like, could you talk to me about, like, how you came to, like, understand who you are?
00:40:32.000 Removal did not so!
00:40:35.000 Every, every aspect of the culture.
00:40:39.000 And by the way, Daniel Radcliffe is a superhero because the person who actually made him famous, J.K.
00:40:42.000 Rowling, for writing the Harry Potter series actually believes that girls can become boys and boys cannot become girls because she is still more connected to reality than the actor who reads all of the words on the screen.
00:40:53.000 It's directed at kids, obviously.
00:40:55.000 That's what that is about.
00:40:56.000 Cartoon Network is now teaching kids to use pronouns.
00:40:58.000 they put out this little cartoon on Twitter itself.
00:41:01.000 How does gender pronouns describe a person's gender identity?
00:41:07.000 Examples of pronouns are she, her, they, them, and she, zur.
00:41:10.000 If you're comfortable, you can share your own pronouns, says Cartoon Network.
00:41:15.000 Hi, my name is Cam.
00:41:16.000 My pronouns are they, them.
00:41:18.000 Wow, I thought there was only she, her, and he, him.
00:41:20.000 No, you ignorant b****!
00:41:23.000 Oh, no, it says, I'm Alex.
00:41:24.000 Mine are they, them, too.
00:41:27.000 I'm Chloe.
00:41:27.000 The pronouns that describe my identity are she, her.
00:41:30.000 Cool!
00:41:31.000 Let's be clear.
00:41:32.000 All of this is just skin in the game.
00:41:34.000 It's ritualistic obeisance to an entire worldview.
00:41:37.000 And the more ridiculous they can make you, the more ridiculously and deeply they can make you bow, the more they will have achieved victory.
00:41:43.000 This is the goal.
00:41:44.000 And they have achieved total political victory, by the way.
00:41:46.000 It's certainly internationally on the left.
00:41:48.000 Matt Walsh's question, what is woman, has completely broken the brains of people on left because it turns out that they actually can't defend any of their actual positions.
00:41:56.000 Here, for example, is the New Zealand Prime Minister being asked what a woman is and being utterly confused by the most obvious question in human history.
00:42:03.000 How do you and how does this government define a woman?
00:42:07.000 To be honest, Sean, that question's come slightly out of left field for me.
00:42:18.000 the... well...
00:42:22.000 Biology, sex, gender, people define themselves.
00:42:30.000 People define their own genders.
00:42:34.000 It's all a parody.
00:42:35.000 This is straight from the office.
00:42:37.000 New Zealand edition.
00:42:39.000 Biology?
00:42:40.000 Sex?
00:42:40.000 Gender?
00:42:42.000 What do words mean?
00:42:43.000 What are words?
00:42:44.000 Why are words?
00:42:45.000 Who are we?
00:42:47.000 Deep down inside.
00:42:48.000 Why does New Zealand have its own accent?
00:42:51.000 It's really just Aussie, but not quite.
00:42:53.000 Why?
00:42:57.000 Yes, even reality itself must be disturbed by the predations of the left.
00:43:02.000 In just one second, we'll get to the latest on the economy.
00:43:06.000 Because here's the thing, real things are happening in the world!
00:43:08.000 We're all focused in on what makes us feel good about voting, what makes us feel good about politics.
00:43:12.000 How about we win some victories against bad agendas?
00:43:14.000 We'll get to more on that in a moment.
00:43:16.000 First, it is difficult to trust anything or anyone these days.
00:43:18.000 Literally, our politicians can't define the word woman.
00:43:21.000 And we're supposed to take them seriously?
00:43:22.000 Well, if you've been paying attention to current events at all for the past few years, you know you need to be prepared for anything.
00:43:27.000 Whether it is supply chain breakdowns or giant riots in the streets, there's no better start preparing than by having a supply of emergency food on hand.
00:43:33.000 Right now, My Patriot Supply is knocking $200 off their popular three-month emergency food kit.
00:43:39.000 Go to preparewithben.com, grab the special price before it ends.
00:43:42.000 Your three-month emergency food kit provides over 2,000 calories every day for optimal strength and energy in stressful situations.
00:43:48.000 They've got a wide variety of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks, snacks.
00:43:50.000 Best of all, it tastes good.
00:43:52.000 Don't put off your preparedness any longer.
00:43:54.000 Tomorrow could theoretically be too late.
00:43:55.000 You just don't know what's going to happen across the horizon.
00:43:57.000 Go to preparewithben.com.
00:43:59.000 Save $200 on each kit your family needs.
00:44:02.000 Go to preparewithben.com right now.
00:44:04.000 Again, the great thing about this, you go to preparewithben.com, Meanwhile, Joe Biden's economic record is absolute garbage.
00:44:08.000 Inflation continues to be at record highs.
00:44:09.000 We still are having a slowing economy.
00:44:11.000 Save 200 bucks on each kit your family needs today.
00:44:13.000 It's preparewithben.com right now.
00:44:16.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden's economic record is absolute garbage.
00:44:19.000 Inflation continues to be at record highs.
00:44:22.000 We still are having a slowing economy.
00:44:24.000 McDonald's is now laying people off.
00:44:26.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, McDonald's has temporarily closed its US...
00:44:29.000 offices this week and has started informing corporate employees about layoffs being made as part of a broader company restructuring.
00:44:35.000 Some McDonald's workers began to hear about the fate of their jobs on Monday.
00:44:37.000 The company's corporate vice president of insurance said he was informed on Monday his position was being eliminated and he was leaving the company after 20 years.
00:44:44.000 McDonald's is laying off hundreds of corporate employees this week, according to people familiar with the McDonald's plan.
00:44:50.000 The Chicago-based fast food chain sent an internal email last week to U.S.
00:44:53.000 employees and some international staff that should work from home Monday through Wednesday so they can basically fire people.
00:44:58.000 So things are going just amazing.
00:45:01.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden, remember that time that he said that the Saudis were the worst people on earth and that we should punish them and that they're just awful?
00:45:08.000 And then the Saudis went across the street to the Chinese?
00:45:10.000 And then you remember right before the election, the midterm elections, Joe Biden went over there and begged them We really, truly begged them to up their oil supply, and they're like, nah dude, not interested anymore.
00:45:21.000 Well now, because of the Biden administration's idiotic actions in the Middle East, Saudi has addressed some sort of mild rapprochement with Iran, brokered by China.
00:45:31.000 And they're punishing the United States by cutting their oil production, which helps, wait for it, China and Russia.
00:45:36.000 According to the Wall Street Journal, a Saudi Arabia-led production cut vaulted crude prices 6.3% higher Monday in their steepest one-day increase in more than a year.
00:45:43.000 But with oil markets facing a host of challenges, including a possible recession, only the most bullish analysts see prices touching $100 a barrel soon.
00:45:49.000 So again, the fact that the economy is sinking is the only thing that is keeping the oil from truly spiking through the roof right now.
00:45:58.000 The swing's out of complication for central bankers balancing the need to tackle inflation with worries about the health of the banking system.
00:46:03.000 If crude prices continue to rise, they're likely to feed into higher gasoline bills for drivers, which boosts inflation, which in turn is going to generate higher interest rates, which in turn is going to generate more economic recession, presumably.
00:46:15.000 Apparently, the production caught by the Saudi-led group showcased how Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is increasingly giving priority to a nationalist energy policy over U.S.
00:46:22.000 concerns.
00:46:23.000 Why, almost as though this idiotic administration alienated one of our chief sources of energy, and we are now feeling the cost of that.
00:46:34.000 Why, it's, again, well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of Joe Biden's own stupid actions.
00:46:40.000 Fareed Zakaria, writing at the Washington Post, is now positing the possibility that Russia, China, Brazil are actually going to form an alternative to the United States dollar as the world currency.
00:46:52.000 According to Zakaria, the dollar is America's superpower.
00:46:54.000 It gives Washington unrivaled economic and political muscle.
00:46:57.000 The United States can slap sanctions on countries unilaterally, freezing them out of large parts of the world economy.
00:47:01.000 When Washington spends freely, it can be certain its debt, usually in the form of T-bills, will be bought up by the rest of the world.
00:47:08.000 However, however, the dollar may be in a bit of trouble.
00:47:13.000 So Zakaria says the dollar dominance is firmly entrenched for a lot of good reasons.
00:47:16.000 A globalized economy needs a single currency for ease and efficiency.
00:47:19.000 The dollar is also stable.
00:47:21.000 That's why China's efforts to expand the yuan's role internationally have not worked.
00:47:24.000 Again, the Chinese economy is not particularly stable, but.
00:47:28.000 There are a lot of countries that are starting to diversify a little bit away from the dollar.
00:47:32.000 The share of dollars in global central bank reserves has dropped from 70% 20 years ago to less than 60% today and falling steadily.
00:47:38.000 The Europeans and Chinese are trying to build international payment systems outside of the SWIFT system so they can avoid sanctions.
00:47:43.000 Saudi Arabia has flirted with the idea of pricing its oil in yuan.
00:47:47.000 India is settling most of its oil purchases from Russia in non-dollar currencies.
00:47:51.000 Digital currencies might be another alternative.
00:47:54.000 Again, as you sink the American economy, and as you break all the ties that bind you to allies, it turns out that they look elsewhere for economic help, and that actually has some real consequences for the American economy.
00:48:05.000 The good news is that the left continues to be completely disconnected from actual economic reality, which is kind of the story of every Ezra Klein column over at the New York Times.
00:48:14.000 So he has a piece over at the New York Times called The Problem with Everything Bagel Liberalism, talking about how you can't go for everything, everywhere, all at once, essentially.
00:48:22.000 And even though he is saying that you can't pursue, say, DEI and economic growth at the same time, he tries to pretend that you actually can.
00:48:32.000 He talks with Gina Raimondo, the Secretary of Commerce, about the fact that, for example, in trying to generate American-made microchips, Forcing companies that are going to create factories over here to have, say, childcare is an idiotic thing.
00:48:46.000 That's not something the American taxpayer should be overly concerned about.
00:48:48.000 If it's a national security issue, you just fund the making of the chips, not the childcare or the diversity, equity, inclusion initiatives associated with forcing companies to do those things.
00:48:59.000 But Gina Raimondo says no.
00:49:00.000 Every one of those requirements, or they're not really requirements, are for factors or criteria we think relate directly to the effectiveness of the project.
00:49:08.000 The unemployment rate in the building trades is basically zero.
00:49:10.000 If you don't find a way to attract women to become builders and pipefitters and welders, you won't be successful.
00:49:14.000 You have to be thinking about childcare.
00:49:17.000 So, Raimondo is now suggesting that we have to spend more money on less competitive workers in order to boost the economy, When Klein pointed out that this costs us more money, she said, I was thinking too narrowly.
00:49:30.000 Quote, I consider it a fact that a more diverse workforce is a more productive workforce.
00:49:33.000 Well, you may consider it a fact, but it is not true.
00:49:35.000 I'm sorry that there is no evidence whatsoever that simple diversity is the key factor in productivity.
00:49:40.000 There's no data to back that.
00:49:41.000 Diversity may be some sort of in the air additive, but certainly it is not the key product in actual efficiency.
00:49:51.000 And why would the skin color of the people who are producing product matter particularly?
00:49:56.000 But Ezra Klein's like, I don't disagree with her.
00:49:58.000 Well, why not?
00:49:59.000 I mean, clearly, if you make things more expensive, they happen to be more expensive.
00:50:03.000 And then you're all surprised when they get more expensive.
00:50:06.000 And you blame systemic racism or something.
00:50:08.000 This administration is garbage on policy.
00:50:10.000 And this would be an excellent time for Republicans to point that out.
00:50:12.000 However, it turns out that Republicans, unfortunately, are highly distractible.
00:50:16.000 Okay, time for some things I like and then some things that I hate.
00:50:19.000 So, things that I like today.
00:50:22.000 So, when it came to the Nashville school shooting, the left decided on two Narratives.
00:50:28.000 Neither of them were the truth.
00:50:29.000 One of them is that guns were to blame and therefore you can't have more guns at schools in order to protect against people who are attempting to murder school children.
00:50:37.000 And two is that trans people are actually the victims when a trans identifying person murders a bunch of school kids.
00:50:42.000 When it comes to narrative number one, the left has taken the bizarre position that it's a bad idea to have armed guards at schools.
00:50:47.000 Dana Bash tried to make that point to Dan Crenshaw and it didn't go amazing for her.
00:50:51.000 So the answer is more guns?
00:50:52.000 No, the answer is armed guards.
00:50:54.000 The answer is armed guards, right?
00:50:56.000 Armed guards, yes.
00:50:58.000 The kind of guns that protect the president, that protect you all at CNN.
00:51:01.000 Is it easy to get into your headquarters at CNN?
00:51:04.000 Absolutely not.
00:51:05.000 There's armed guards there.
00:51:06.000 There's single points of entry.
00:51:07.000 I think we should look at our schools as a place that is precious and have the same kind of security that your corporate offices do.
00:51:16.000 Well, that seems like a pretty good point.
00:51:19.000 It turns out that they have a lot of security over at the CNN building.
00:51:24.000 I know, I've been there before.
00:51:25.000 So, you actually have to check in, they have armed guards at the front, and all the rest.
00:51:29.000 But that's the way it works for our elites.
00:51:31.000 Our kids should not have the same protections that they have.
00:51:34.000 They play by a different set of rules.
00:51:35.000 Okay, time for a quick thing that I hate.
00:51:41.000 Okay, so.
00:51:42.000 Big controversy has now erupted because apparently people watched a women's basketball game.
00:51:47.000 So first of all, congratulations to women's basketball on people finally watching a women's basketball game.
00:51:52.000 Presumably a lot of that has to do with the ESPN was really featuring the female NCAA tournament heavily, like more than the actual men's NCAA tournament on their homepage, for example.
00:52:02.000 And so people actually watched the final four in the women's NCAA tournament.
00:52:08.000 And there were two players of note.
00:52:11.000 One is a woman named Caitlin Clark, who plays for Iowa.
00:52:13.000 And the other is a woman named Angel Rees, who plays for LSU.
00:52:16.000 These were the two teams that faced off in the NCAA Finals.
00:52:20.000 And the LSU Tigers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85 to win their first national championship program.
00:52:26.000 But that's not where the controversy was.
00:52:27.000 The controversy is then in Caitlin Clark, who's a very good player apparently.
00:52:31.000 She, in an earlier, again, I wouldn't know these people from Adam because I don't watch women's basketball because I would rather stick my face in an oven.
00:52:39.000 But in any case, Caitlin Clark, she was apparently playing a little bit earlier in the tournament and at a certain point she taunted an opposing player by doing the John Cena Hand gesture.
00:52:55.000 John Cena apparently does this hand gesture in front of his face that you can't see me.
00:52:58.000 Hand gesture again.
00:52:59.000 Not a WWE fan because I have children and a real life.
00:53:03.000 In any case, Caitlin Clarke did this a little bit earlier in the tournament.
00:53:06.000 It sets the predicate for the actual controversy.
00:53:08.000 Okay, so, there she is.
00:53:14.000 You can see her.
00:53:16.000 And here is Angel Reese, then responding to the end of the game.
00:53:18.000 And Angel Reese does the you-can't-see-me motion to Kaitlyn Clark near the end of the victory, and also points to her ring finger, suggesting, I just won a national championship, and you did not.
00:53:32.000 And everyone went nuts on Angel Reese.
00:53:34.000 A lot of people went crazy on Angel Reese, talking about how it was disrespectful and terrible.
00:53:38.000 The game was already over.
00:53:38.000 It was the end of the game.
00:53:39.000 It's one thing to do it in the heat of the moment.
00:53:41.000 It's another thing to do it, you know, previously thought out and all the rest.
00:53:44.000 Reese said, I was waiting.
00:53:46.000 Caitlin Clark is a hell of a player for sure, but I don't take disrespect lightly.
00:53:49.000 She disrespected Alexis Morris and my girls, South Carolina.
00:53:51.000 They're my SEC girls too.
00:53:52.000 Y'all not going to disrespect them either.
00:53:56.000 She said, I wanted to pick her pocket, but I had a moment at the end of the game and I was in my bag.
00:54:00.000 I was in my moment.
00:54:00.000 I don't know what it means.
00:54:01.000 I don't know what any of that means, but do I have serious qualms about sports mockery?
00:54:07.000 No, who cares?
00:54:08.000 Like, there were a bunch of people who got really, really upset about all of this stuff.
00:54:11.000 And because they got upset about this stuff, because apparently they didn't realize that Caitlin Clarke had done it earlier in the tournament, or they didn't like that this happened after the game or something, this, of course, prompted spasms of apoplexy.
00:54:21.000 Because if you got upset about it, this meant you were a racist.
00:54:23.000 So, I'm annoyed with everyone on all sides of this particular stupid issue.
00:54:27.000 Here was Stephen A. Smith torching the backlash to the Angel Reese taunt.
00:54:32.000 We all know that there's a white-black issue here.
00:54:35.000 Because the fact of the matter is, when Caitlyn did it, people were celebrating it.
00:54:39.000 And they were talking about nothing but her greatness.
00:54:42.000 But then the second a sister stepped up and threw it back in her face, now you got half the basketball world saying, well you know what, that's not the classiest thing to do.
00:54:52.000 And the fact that that hasn't been brought up tells us a lot about our society as a whole.
00:54:58.000 Yes, Shanae Ogumike is not taking it there.
00:55:01.000 I'm taking it there.
00:55:02.000 You know exactly what the hell you're doing as people when you want to bring up how Angel Reese acted, but you don't want to bring up how Caitlyn Clark acted.
00:55:12.000 Okay, so do I think that it's racism that people think that there is a slight difference?
00:55:16.000 I mean, it does look like there's a slight difference there.
00:55:17.000 Do I think that Angel reached in anything wrong in doing that?
00:55:19.000 No.
00:55:20.000 Do I care at all?
00:55:21.000 Should you care at all?
00:55:21.000 No.
00:55:22.000 I mean, guess what?
00:55:22.000 No.
00:55:24.000 Trash talking in sports is kind of a thing.
00:55:26.000 It's been a rather large thing in sports since Muhammad Ali was doing it.
00:55:29.000 I mean, going back to like the early 1960s.
00:55:32.000 So I'm not sure exactly why we are supposed to be shocked or appalled by anything that happened right here.
00:55:37.000 The only thing that I find shocking and appalling is Joe Biden.
00:55:39.000 So Joe Biden, who is, of course, the greatest doctor in American history, On Monday, she said that she wanted to invite the Iowa women's basketball team also to the White House, as well as LSU.
00:55:48.000 Which, by the way, is so unbelievably toned up.
00:55:50.000 So the Iowa team is largely white, and the LSU team is largely black.
00:55:53.000 And so a lot of black fans of the LSU team are like, what the hell?
00:55:57.000 Like, if the races were reversed, would Jill Biden be inviting the other team also to the White House?
00:56:01.000 Is it going to be a beer summit, exactly?
00:56:03.000 Like, Iowa lost.
00:56:04.000 You don't invite the losing team in the NCAA championship also to the White House.
00:56:08.000 They're the people who lost.
00:56:09.000 You invite the winning team to the White House, obviously.
00:56:12.000 Joe Biden said, I know we'll have champions come to the White House.
00:56:14.000 We always do.
00:56:15.000 We hope LSU will come.
00:56:16.000 But you think, you know, I'm going to tell Joe, I think Iowa should come too because they played such a good game.
00:56:20.000 Man, watching Democratic women in positions of high power talk about basketball is just painful.
00:56:26.000 Whether it is Kamala Harris showing up at the NCAAs to lecture A team that just lost by 30 points on how they tried super hard.
00:56:34.000 They tried super hard.
00:56:35.000 Whether it is Joe Biden now inviting the losing team to the list.
00:56:38.000 Man, that is some bad stuff.
00:56:41.000 Oof.
00:56:42.000 Unpleasant.
00:56:42.000 Speaking of unpleasant, one final thing that I hate.
00:56:44.000 So Colin Kaepernick, a person who just will not go away because obviously he has to make a living somehow.
00:56:49.000 He has now decided that the best way to make a living is to go full Prince Harry and just rip on his family.
00:56:54.000 So the white family that adopted him, raised him, it gave him every privilege and allowed him to become a successful athlete.
00:57:00.000 until he actually turned out to not be a very good football player and got benched for the immortal Blaine Gabbert and then knelt and became a national hero because that's how you become a national hero in America. Well now he is doing the I hate my parents tour, which is rather teenage of him. Here he was talking about how he had trouble calling out his white parents when they were being problematic. How about this dude? They gave you literally everything. They are your parents and this is utterly classless and gross. It is very difficult for people to have a
00:57:29.000 nuance conversation around it. Yeah, I.
00:57:34.000 Yeah, the people that love you and that you love can also perpetuate very problematic elements.
00:57:42.000 Right, right.
00:57:43.000 And those things can exist at the same time.
00:57:49.000 Right.
00:57:50.000 And part of it is like, how do you grapple with that?
00:57:53.000 Right.
00:57:53.000 How do you navigate that?
00:57:55.000 Right.
00:57:56.000 And especially at a young age, where it's like, Are you equipped to navigate that?
00:58:03.000 And are your parents equipped to navigate that?
00:58:07.000 What a victim.
00:58:08.000 What an absolute victim.
00:58:09.000 And nothing says class quite like going on broadcast and ripping on your parents.
00:58:13.000 Just a classy thing to do.
00:58:15.000 Alrighty, folks.
00:58:16.000 The rest of the show is continuing right now.
00:58:17.000 You're not going to want to miss it.
