00:01:38.000 Alrighty, so we'll get to the Republican National Convention last night, but let's just be clear about this.
00:01:44.000 The people who are currently making the case for President Trump to be president are not Republicans.
00:01:48.000 They are all of the rioters and the looters and the violent jackasses in the streets harassing normal people who are not bothering anybody, who are attempting to do violence, who are being terrible human beings.
00:01:59.000 It is also the politicians on the Democrat side of the aisle who have decided to soft pedal all of this, who have decided that they are going to look over it.
00:02:05.000 They're just going to say, you know, we understand their motivation.
00:02:07.000 We understand what they're doing.
00:02:08.000 We get it.
00:02:09.000 We do.
00:02:10.000 You know, it's kind of unnecessary.
00:02:11.000 But really, America is systemically racist.
00:02:14.000 Really, their cause is just.
00:02:16.000 America really is a terrible, no good, very bad place.
00:02:19.000 The Democrats who are willing to overlook simple fact patterns in particular cases in order to draw a broad, overarching narrative about how America is systemically terrible.
00:02:29.000 This is what is driving Trump's re-elect prospects at this point in time.
00:02:33.000 All the Democrats had to do, and I've been saying this since the day that Trump was elected, all they had to do was not be crazy.
00:02:38.000 And they just couldn't do it.
00:02:40.000 They tried for a brief second in time to nominate somebody who is not the crazy person, right?
00:02:45.000 They nominated Joe Biden.
00:02:46.000 in order to not nominate the octogenarian communists.
00:02:49.000 And it turns out that Joe Biden is too weak to stand up to his own base.
00:02:53.000 He is too weak to stand up to the radicalism inherent in his own party.
00:02:56.000 And the fact is that even the administration he last served under was rather radical on a lot of these matters.
00:03:00.000 Remember, there were cities that burned during the last Democratic administration.
00:03:03.000 Ferguson burned while Barack Obama stood there and said that people don't make up things like what happened with Michael Brown, except that everything that was said about Michael Brown was in fact made up by witnesses who lied about it at the time.
00:03:15.000 Ferguson burned.
00:03:16.000 Baltimore burned while Barack Obama was president of the United States.
00:03:20.000 Again, based on a case where the officers were found not to have committed a murder.
00:03:24.000 New York City was, massive protests hit New York City while Barack Obama, Milwaukee burned while Barack Obama was president.
00:03:31.000 So it's not as though Democrats haven't presided over this sort of stuff in the past.
00:03:34.000 And it is democratic cities that are currently burning.
00:03:36.000 It is democratic mayors who have allowed this to go on.
00:03:39.000 As I mentioned yesterday, this really is not all that difficult.
00:03:42.000 Government has one job, one job, protect your rights.
00:03:46.000 And the minute that you say that the cops have to be pulled out of areas where they are protecting law-abiding citizens from criminals and villains, the minute you say that the cops are the bad guys and the criminals and the villains are the good guys, you have lost the thread.
00:03:58.000 Well, the Democrats have lost the thread.
00:04:00.000 And not only have they lost the thread, they've decided to reject reality.
00:04:04.000 They completely reject it.
00:04:06.000 Reality is no longer of consequence in too many parts of the Democratic Party.
00:04:11.000 And this is how you end up with the notion in the Democratic Party that facts are secondary to narrative.
00:04:17.000 So there's more information now coming out on this shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which has led to these massive riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, burning down of city blocks, right, while the Democrats said nothing about it all of last week.
00:04:30.000 For the Democrats, it was all about America being systemically racist and evil and terrible and no good and very bad, but no real harsh words for the rioters and the looters, even Joe Biden's tepid little statements about how it's unnecessary violence.
00:04:39.000 It's unnecessary.
00:04:41.000 Why is it unnecessary?
00:04:42.000 According to Joe Biden, it's unnecessary because, well, you know, you can use the political process to elect people like Joe Biden.
00:04:47.000 But if Donald Trump were to win again, then the threat of fascism is on the horizon, in which case, presumably, it's necessary.
00:04:52.000 There's a rather open extortion tactic that is being used by Democrats these days that is extraordinarily ugly.
00:04:59.000 I've yet to see a Republican riot.
00:05:01.000 In the modern era, have you seen Republicans rioting?
00:05:03.000 I'm old enough to remember when they were calling Tea Partiers terrorists for standing there with American flags and playing corny songs and wearing hats with the brims not properly bent.
00:05:13.000 They were terrorists.
00:05:14.000 The Tea Party were bad guys.
00:05:16.000 Not one incident of serious violence at a Tea Party protest.
00:05:20.000 Not one.
00:05:21.000 Now you have nearly every BLM protest breaking out randomly, apparently, into some sort of riot or looting as soon as the curfew hits.
00:05:29.000 And yet we are being told that these are the best among us.
00:05:31.000 This is the kind of protest that America stands for.
00:05:34.000 But you know what?
00:05:34.000 You really shouldn't get too violent.
00:05:36.000 Because after all, you can just elect Joe Biden, this octogenarian 50-year politician who's not accomplished anything of major consequence in his career except for the only thing that he actually did was a criminal justice bill that lengthened sentences that he now says was a bad idea.
00:05:52.000 So, all of this has come to a head in the last week and a half.
00:05:55.000 You can see the shift in the narrative because Democrats are starting to realize that this is extraordinarily damaging, like seriously, seriously damaging to their electoral prospects.
00:06:03.000 In Wisconsin particularly, rural Wisconsin is going to show up and vote now.
00:06:07.000 Rural Minnesota and Minneapolis are going to show up and vote now.
00:06:09.000 There are a lot of people who weren't going to show up and vote because they were alienated by Trump's personality and the DNC banked on people being alienated by Trump's personality.
00:06:16.000 That was the DNC's entire pitch.
00:06:18.000 There was nothing there about what they were actively going to do.
00:06:20.000 They ignored their own agenda.
00:06:21.000 It was all about how Trump was a bad, mean, orange, bad man.
00:06:24.000 Well, guess what?
00:06:25.000 Trump can be a bad, orange, mean, bad, orange man.
00:06:28.000 But when people are watching cities burn, and when they are watching suburbs being invaded by rioters and looters, and we saw that in Seattle last night, When they see people walking through the streets of major cities and being harassed and harangued by protesters getting directly in their face, when they're watching people being punched in the head for no reason other than their political perspective, when they see that, they go, okay, so you're telling me that because Trump is vulgar and a bore,
00:06:55.000 And because he does things I don't like, that I'm supposed to vote for people who incentivize this sort of extortion?
00:07:00.000 Americans resent being extorted.
00:07:03.000 They resent the electoral extortion that is now being effectuated upon them by the Democratic Party.
00:07:09.000 And again, the Democratic Party is going full scale with this sort of stuff.
00:07:11.000 They really are.
00:07:12.000 They are ignoring fact patterns in order to propagate a narrative they think will be electorally valuable for them, that will drive out what they think will be minority voters to the polls.
00:07:20.000 I think it's gonna backfire in a pretty significant way here.
00:07:23.000 They're ignoring fact patterns.
00:07:24.000 There's new information on the Jacob Blake shooting, as I mentioned.
00:07:26.000 Here's the new information.
00:07:28.000 This is according to the Wisconsin DOJ investigation.
00:07:30.000 Quote, after the initial attempt to arrest Mr. Blake, Kenosha police officer Rustin Sheskey deployed a taser to attempt to stop Mr. Blake.
00:07:36.000 When that attempt failed, Kenosha police officer Vincent Terenas also deployed a taser.
00:07:40.000 However, that taser was also not successful in stopping Mr. Blake.
00:07:44.000 Also, Blake admitted he had a knife in his possession.
00:07:48.000 On the tape, by the way, one of the cops can be heard shouting, drop the knife.
00:07:52.000 Okay, but apparently fact patterns don't matter.
00:07:55.000 They literally don't matter.
00:07:56.000 We've been told by top-level Democrats that the facts of these cases do not matter because the overarching narrative is all that matters.
00:08:03.000 And when you ignore the facts in order to preserve an overarching narrative that ends with riots and looting, when you soft-pedal the riots and the looting, Americans are going to resent it.
00:08:11.000 For example, here's Wisconsin's Lieutenant Governor yesterday.
00:08:14.000 He literally said we don't need an investigation into this case.
00:08:18.000 This is Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, Democrat of Wisconsin.
00:08:21.000 He literally says in a case that requires an investigation, we don't need an investigation.
00:08:25.000 Now, first of all, I think the facts on the ground and the tape on the ground already show that any investigation is going to end with the acquittal of these cops.
00:08:31.000 You can't file criminal charges against police officers who arrive to arrest a man with an open warrant for domestic abuse and sexual assault.
00:08:42.000 And by the way, we are now learning that one of the people, the person who called the cops, was apparently one of his prior victims.
00:08:48.000 Okay?
00:08:48.000 And he showed up at her house.
00:08:50.000 And that's why she called the cops.
00:08:51.000 The cops show up.
00:08:52.000 He resists arrest.
00:08:52.000 He is tased twice.
00:08:53.000 He ignores their orders.
00:08:54.000 He gets up.
00:08:56.000 He may or may not have a knife.
00:08:57.000 We don't know that yet.
00:08:58.000 We do know that he reaches into the car and they find, on the floorboards of the driver's side, a knife.
00:09:04.000 I'm sorry, there is no circumstance whatsoever under which these cops are convicted of anything.
00:09:08.000 It's just not going to happen.
00:09:10.000 But according to the Democrats, not only should these cops be convicted, you don't even need an investigation.
00:09:16.000 The facts literally don't matter.
00:09:18.000 Here's the Lieutenant Governor of the state of Wisconsin claiming that we don't need an investigation to determine that this was not only a bad shooting, but a racial shooting.
00:09:24.000 So they haven't established that it's bad.
00:09:26.000 They haven't even established that it's racially motivated.
00:09:28.000 They haven't established one iota of this stuff.
00:09:30.000 All that matters is the overarching narrative.
00:09:32.000 As long as Democrats propagate this stuff and then riots break out in the streets and they poo-poo it, Americans are not gonna vote for this.
00:09:37.000 They are not.
00:09:37.000 Okay, here's Lieutenant Governor Manzala Barnes.
00:09:40.000 As the governor said, DCI's investigation is ongoing, but we don't need an investigation to know that Blake's shooting falls in a long and painful pattern of violence.
00:09:51.000 And this is a pattern of violence that happens against black lives too often across this country.
00:09:58.000 And as you all know, we saw even more gun violence unfold on Tuesday night, when two protesters were tragically killed and one other injured by gunshots.
00:10:07.000 Okay, we don't need an investigation, and I'm going to give you the exact reverse of what happened.
00:10:12.000 Okay, when it comes to the quote-unquote protesters who were shot and killed, the tape shows them attacking the person who did the shooting.
00:10:19.000 It's all on tape, guys.
00:10:20.000 And we don't need an investigation.
00:10:22.000 By the way, we don't need an investigation is the mark of people who don't give a damn about due process.
00:10:26.000 It turns out due process is one of the core protections of the Bill of Rights and one of the core reasons for government to exist.
00:10:31.000 And there's the lieutenant governor saying we don't need an investigation to already determine how this fits into our pre-existing narrative about black people inherently being victims in the United States.
00:10:40.000 Incredible.
00:10:40.000 In a second, we're going to see the vice presidential candidate on the Democratic side say exactly the same thing.
00:10:45.000 We'll get to that in just one moment.
00:10:46.000 First, let us talk about the fact that hiring on your own without any assistance, it can be really, really difficult.
00:10:51.000 Like very, very difficult.
00:10:53.000 It's really important that you have somebody to help you go through that process.
00:10:56.000 ZipRecruiter is the best way to do it.
00:10:57.000 ZipRecruiter will send your job to over 100 of the web's leading job sites.
00:11:01.000 But they don't stop there.
00:11:02.000 With their powerful matching technology, ZipRecruiter will scan thousands of resumes to find people with the right experience and actively invite them to apply to your job.
00:11:09.000 ZipRecruiter makes the entire hiring process efficient and effective.
00:11:13.000 with features like screening questions to filter candidates and an all-in-one dashboard where you can review and rate your candidates.
00:11:19.000 ZipRecruiter is so effective that four out of five employers who post on ZipRecruiter get a quality candidate within the very first day.
00:11:25.000 So let's say the day after day after day, your producer, let's call him Colton, for example, he suggests guests that are just like, why would you possibly suggest that this person would make a good guest?
00:11:34.000 Why?
00:11:35.000 And let's say you decide to book somebody else.
00:11:37.000 Who'd be better at booking guests?
00:11:37.000 Like a one-armed monkey or something.
00:11:40.000 But you can't find a one-armed monkey, so where do you go?
00:11:41.000 You go to ZipRecruiter.com right now to try ZipRecruiter for free.
00:11:45.000 My listeners can go to ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.
00:11:47.000 That is ZipRecruiter.com slash D-A-I-L-Y-W-I-R-E ZipRecruiter.com slash DailyWire.
00:11:53.000 ZipRecruiter is indeed the smartest way to hire.
00:11:55.000 ZipRecruiter.com.
00:11:58.000 All righty, so it was not just the Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor who says we don't need an investigation.
00:12:04.000 It was Kamala Harris, your former prosecutor, right?
00:12:07.000 Now, it seems to me that if you're a former prosecutor, you should be responsible enough to say, you know, we might need an investigation before we prosecute somebody, but Kamala Harris, let's throw them all in jail, Kamala Harris.
00:12:16.000 She says we don't need an investigation.
00:12:19.000 We should just charge the officer in the Jacob Blake case.
00:12:22.000 We should just charge him.
00:12:24.000 No investigation necessary.
00:12:25.000 Now, let me just take it with a grain of salt because Kamala Harris is an awful human being who literally has suggested that cops murder people when the murder not only has been investigated but debunked.
00:12:37.000 She literally tweeted out last year that Michael Brown was murdered.
00:12:40.000 Michael Brown, the 18-year-old, who attacked a police officer, reached into his car, fired the police officer's gun, tried to run away, turned around and charged the police officer and was shot for his trouble.
00:12:50.000 That is according to two separate state prosecutors.
00:12:54.000 That is according to the Obama Department of Justice.
00:12:56.000 Kamala Harris said he was murdered.
00:12:58.000 So here's Kamala Harris ignoring the requirements of due process, ignoring the notions of individual justice, ignoring the belief that facts matter, in order to preserve the narrative that black people are inherently put under the knife in the United States of America circa 2020.
00:13:10.000 And then you expect people not to write, you expect people not to loot?
00:13:14.000 Here's Kamala Harris doing this routine.
00:13:18.000 Is there a scenario in which that officer Would have been justified, was justified in firing his weapon?
00:13:27.000 Craig, I don't see it, but I don't have all the evidence.
00:13:31.000 You know, the man was going to his car.
00:13:33.000 He didn't appear to be armed.
00:13:35.000 And if he was not armed, the use of force that was seven bullets coming out of a gun at close range in the back of the man, I don't see how anybody could reason that that was justifiable.
00:13:49.000 You think the officer should be charged?
00:13:51.000 I think that there should be a thorough investigation.
00:13:54.000 And based on what I've seen, it seems that the officer should be charged.
00:13:59.000 Oh, well, so there should be a full investigation, but also he should be charged, which means you don't need the investigation, do you?
00:14:04.000 She could just say there needs to be a thorough investigation.
00:14:06.000 That could be the end of the sentence.
00:14:07.000 Could it not?
00:14:08.000 There needs to be a thorough investigation.
00:14:09.000 We've already been told by the lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, you don't need an investigation to determine what happened.
00:14:14.000 And there's Kamala Harris suggesting we need a thorough investigation.
00:14:16.000 I don't see a circumstance.
00:14:18.000 By the way, we already know there was a knife on the floorboard of the car.
00:14:21.000 We already know that is the case on the driver's side.
00:14:23.000 OK, it's not all the way in the back.
00:14:24.000 It wasn't in the trunk or something.
00:14:26.000 We know there's a man with an open warrant for sexual assault and domestic abuse with three kids in the back of the car.
00:14:31.000 He's resisted arrest.
00:14:32.000 He's been tased twice.
00:14:33.000 He walks away from the police officers after bucking them off his back.
00:14:36.000 And the idea is what the cops are supposed to let him go with three kids in the back of the car.
00:14:41.000 But don't worry, Kamala Harris has it all covered.
00:14:43.000 Has it all covered.
00:14:44.000 Now, here's the thing.
00:14:45.000 Democrats don't have to do this.
00:14:47.000 They don't have to soft-pedal the violence.
00:14:49.000 But they do because they're enthralled to their woke base.
00:14:51.000 And the woke base is not, in fact, black Americans.
00:14:54.000 The woke base is not black.
00:14:56.000 See, this is the great misnomer, is that if you keep saying stuff like this, you're gonna drive black voters to the polls en masse, you're gonna get the Obama coalition of 2008 back together.
00:15:03.000 When Democrats refuse to condemn the violence in the streets, when Democrats soft-pedal it, when they say things not like, it's a moral blight what is happening right now, it is vicious and evil what is happening right now, When they refuse to condemn this in stark terms, when instead they say things like, well, it's unnecessary, or we condemn violence on all sides, right?
00:15:21.000 I'm old enough to remember, by the way, when it was considered insufficient, rightly, for the President of the United States to say about Charlottesville that there were bad people on many sides, there were bad things happening on many sides, on many sides.
00:15:31.000 That was his original statement.
00:15:33.000 It drove a lot of ire, including from me.
00:15:35.000 Go back and listen to my podcast that day.
00:15:38.000 Joe Biden is saying exactly the same thing now.
00:15:40.000 He refuses to condemn the violence and the looting that is springing directly from Black Lives Matter protests.
00:15:47.000 He's refusing to.
00:15:48.000 The Democrats are refusing to.
00:15:49.000 You know why?
00:15:51.000 It ain't.
00:15:51.000 It is not because they are in thrall to black Americans.
00:15:55.000 It is because they are in thrall to white, woke liberals who feel more virtuous by condemning the United States, by dissociating from the history, culture, and philosophy of the United States of America.
00:16:06.000 They don't have to do this.
00:16:07.000 You know how I know they don't have to do this?
00:16:09.000 Because there's a courageous man.
00:16:10.000 His name is Representative John DeBerry.
00:16:11.000 He's a Democrat from Tennessee.
00:16:13.000 And a few days ago, he made a speech.
00:16:15.000 And his speech, he talked about how he had grown up in Jim Crow America and how the rioters and the violent looters and all of these garbage human beings are in fact garbage human beings.
00:16:27.000 And he named it and he shamed it in stark terms.
00:16:30.000 He is a Democrat.
00:16:31.000 He is a black Democrat, by the way.
00:16:34.000 The notion that black Americans are desperately in favor of people rioting and looting and burning down largely black communities, by the way, is insane.
00:16:41.000 But Democrats have decided to rally around this flag because here's the problem.
00:16:45.000 There are three visions of the United States that are currently on the table.
00:16:49.000 Vision number one, the United States is an incredible place with an incredible founding philosophy.
00:16:54.000 We have not always lived up to that founding philosophy, but working within the system of that philosophy and within the constitutional system, we can effectuate change that reaches toward the perfection of the ideals of the Declaration of Independence.
00:17:05.000 That is one vision of the country.
00:17:07.000 In my book, How to Destroy America in Three Easy Steps, I term this the unionist vision for the country.
00:17:11.000 Then there's the disintegrationist vision of the country.
00:17:13.000 The disintegrationist vision of the country says America is steeped and rooted in evil.
00:17:17.000 The founding principles are wrong.
00:17:18.000 They were a lie when written, as the 1619 Project says, and they remain a lie today.
00:17:23.000 They were but pretty words slathered atop a base of racism and white supremacy, and that we need to destroy the system from within.
00:17:31.000 This is the Ibram X. Kendi Anti-racist notion that in order to be anti-racist, you have to destroy the entire system.
00:17:38.000 The Democratic Party wants it both ways.
00:17:41.000 So the Democratic Party wants to argue, along with the disintegrationists, that America is indeed rooted in foundational racism, bigotry, homophobia, sexism, and all the rest, just like AOC says.
00:17:52.000 But we should also work within the system.
00:17:55.000 The problem is that once you have granted the premise to disintegrationists who wish to effectuate violent means, then you're just arguing over means.
00:18:02.000 You're not arguing over core philosophy.
00:18:05.000 Now, the Democrats, many of them, would like you to believe that they actually agree with the unionist vision, that America's founding philosophy is good, that you can work within the system.
00:18:12.000 But then they refuse to condemn the violence because, in essence, too many of them agree with the fundamental premise of the rioters and looters, which is that America is so evil, thoroughly, rotten stem to stern, they just got to blow up the boat.
00:18:24.000 It's the only way.
00:18:26.000 So if you're just arguing whether to blow up the boat or whether you should put us in charge of the boat, that's going to be a difficult case to make.
00:18:33.000 And that is why you're seeing Democrats be so ginger about all this.
00:18:35.000 Now, again, you don't have to do this if you actually believe in the country.
00:18:38.000 In a second, I'm going to show you a Democrat who believes in the country, a black Democrat from Tennessee who believes in the country enough to condemn what's going on.
00:18:44.000 Meanwhile, Joe Biden won't.
00:18:45.000 We'll get to that in one second.
00:18:47.000 Let's talk about a truly meaningful gift that you can give to somebody you care about or to yourself.
00:18:51.000 I am talking about PaintYourLife.com.

00:19:11.000 I've done it myself.
00:19:12.000 You can make changes to it.

00:19:23.000 It's a giant painting from Paint Your Life of me and my wife and two of our three children.
00:19:27.000 So it's about time to update that since we have a tiny little one who's extraordinarily cute.
00:19:30.000 So we're gonna head back to paintyourlife.com.
00:19:33.000 At paintyourlife.com, again, there's no risk.
00:19:34.000 If you don't love the final painting, your money is refunded, guaranteed.

00:19:44.000 That is Ben to 64000.

00:19:49.000 Paint Your Life.
00:19:50.000 Celebrate the moments that matter most.
00:19:51.000 Really amazing gift.
00:19:53.000 PaintYourLife.com.
00:19:55.000 And again, use that code Ben to get 20% off.
00:19:57.000 Okay, so Democrats are fully capable of condemning this stuff.
00:20:00.000 Here's Representative John J. DiBari Jr., Democrat from Memphis, from the state legislature.
00:20:05.000 Yeah, this is from August 12th, talking about the violence.
00:20:09.000 My family raised money and sent my dad to Washington for that march.
00:20:14.000 But that man stood there and said that he wanted his children judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
00:20:25.000 And all we do in America right now is talk about color.
00:20:29.000 Every issue Every issue is about race, it's about color, instead of us sitting down at the table like men and women of common sense and common justice and understanding that our enemies are looking with a greedy vigilance upon us as we tear ourselves apart eternally.
00:20:53.000 Peaceful protest ends peacefully.
00:20:58.000 Anarchy ends in chaos.
00:21:01.000 And what we see happening right now, any of us with any common sense, any common sense whatsoever, know that what we see is not peaceful.
00:21:12.000 By the way, he was a Democrat.
00:21:14.000 I should correct this.
00:21:15.000 The Democratic Party ousted him.
00:21:17.000 I'm not kidding.
00:21:18.000 OK, so what he is saying here is is what every Democrat should be saying now.
00:21:23.000 He's been I'm not kidding.
00:21:24.000 He's been ousted from the by the Tennessee Democratic Party's executive committee.
00:21:30.000 He now has to run as an independent because he has conservative positions on issues like abortion and school choice.
00:21:37.000 Okay, but there is a man who lived under segregation in Jim Crow, pointing out that doing violence, doing evil, is in fact evil.
00:21:44.000 Will the Democrats take them up on this?
00:21:46.000 No, of course the Democrats won't take them up on this.
00:21:48.000 Instead, you'll get milquetoast, tepid statements from Joe Biden.
00:21:51.000 So, yesterday, Joe Biden, he said, Weird, because I remember when Donald Trump said the same thing about the Charlottesville situation, the Charlottesville standoff between Antifa and the alt-right white supremacists.
00:22:05.000 He was widely condemned, as he should have been, because he was not specific enough about the source of the original violence, namely the alt-right or the perspective of the alt-right.
00:22:13.000 Here was Joe Biden doing the, yes, I condemn violence on all sides, on all sides, on all sides.
00:22:18.000 By the way, I condemn violence in any form, whether it's looting or whatever it is.
00:22:24.000 And by the way, when I spoke to the family, the mom was really incredibly straightforward.
00:22:30.000 She said, this is not who we are as a family.
00:22:33.000 This is not who my son is.
00:22:34.000 We condemn the violence.
00:22:36.000 And so who's rooting for the violence here?
00:22:39.000 Who's rooting for the... We condemn the violence.
00:22:40.000 I mean, we condemn it.
00:22:41.000 I mean, it's bad.
00:22:42.000 I mean, like, the violence is bad.
00:22:43.000 But also, but also, Jacob Blake, it made me sick to my stomach what I saw on that tape.
00:22:48.000 Black men being shot down in broad daylight is what he said the day before.
00:22:53.000 And then Joe Biden tries to make the case that this is Trump's America and he wants more riots.
00:22:58.000 Trump wants more riots.
00:22:59.000 They went the entire DNC, eight hours in prime time without mentioning riots and looting.
00:23:04.000 Eight hours.
00:23:05.000 And then Joe Biden's like, well, this is Trump's America.
00:23:07.000 Okay, no, you don't get to play that game.
00:23:10.000 Because when Trump sent federal forces into Portland to try and put this stuff down, you call them a fascist.
00:23:15.000 When Trump offered 500 extra National Guard troops to Governor Tony Evers in Wisconsin, Evers turned him down.
00:23:20.000 You don't get to play this game.
00:23:21.000 When Trump tries to stop the violence, you call him a fascist.
00:23:24.000 And then you suggest that he actually wants the violence, while you yourself continue to issue milquetoast statements about how you condemn all violence.
00:23:31.000 All violence is very bad.
00:23:32.000 I mean, sure, black people are being shot down by the cops at an exorbitant rate, and America is systemically racist and evil, but riots and looting, I mean, they're unnecessary.
00:23:41.000 Unnecessary.
00:23:41.000 I struggle to think, if he believes that, when is violence necessary?
00:23:45.000 Seriously, if you believe that America is such a place where black people are under daily threat from the establishment system, when would violence become necessary in Joe Biden's view?
00:23:53.000 Here is Joe Biden trying to blame all of this on Trump.
00:23:56.000 And by the way, making a soft extortion case in the process.
00:23:59.000 You'll hear him say here that all of this will go away if he's elected.
00:24:03.000 So in other words, just get rid of Donald Trump and all this goes away.
00:24:05.000 Nice country you got there.
00:24:06.000 It would be a shame if somebody did something to it.
00:24:08.000 Here's Joe Biden.
00:24:10.000 The problem we have right now is we're in Donald Trump's America.
00:24:14.000 You know, to quote Kelly Conway, she said, and I'm paraphrasing today, that they're looking for more violence and more disruption because it helps them politically.
00:24:24.000 He views this as a political benefit to him.
00:24:26.000 You know, he's rooting for more violence, not less, and it's clear about that.
00:24:32.000 And what's he doing?
00:24:33.000 He's kept pouring gasoline on the fire.
00:24:35.000 This happens to be Donald Trump's America.
00:24:38.000 It's Donald Trump's America.
00:24:38.000 And then he says, and if you get rid of Donald Trump, it'll all stop.
00:24:41.000 Weird, because again, cities burned under Joe Biden.
00:24:43.000 The tacit threat here is cities will continue to burn.
00:24:46.000 I mean, literally last week, Kamala Harris said the protests are necessary and they should continue.
00:24:50.000 They should continue.
00:24:51.000 Don't worry, no rioting and looting, guys.
00:24:53.000 All a figment of your imagination.
00:24:54.000 It's starting to come home because the polls are showing that Americans don't like this stuff.
00:24:58.000 And so now Democrats are swiveling on in time and being like, oh yeah, I guess we probably should do something about it, maybe a little bit.
00:25:04.000 But they're still incentivizing the riots and the looting.
00:25:07.000 They're still giving credence to the main case, which is that America is broadly and systemically evil and racist.
00:25:12.000 We'll hear Kamala Harris make that case.
00:25:14.000 An extraordinarily wealthy, privileged black woman in the United States of America make the case that America literally does not care about black people.
00:25:22.000 In just one second.
00:25:22.000 First, let's talk about the fact that now is not a great time to go to the post office.
00:25:27.000 You know what it is a great time to do?
00:25:28.000 It's a great time to use the postal service without having to go to the post office.
00:25:32.000 And that means using stamps.com.
00:25:34.000 We heard the Daily Wire we've been using stamps.com since 2017 to save time and save money.

00:26:35.000 No long-term commitment.
00:26:36.000 Just head on over to stamps.com, click on the microphone at the top of the homepage, type in Shapiro.
00:26:40.000 That is stamps.com.
00:26:42.000 Enter Shapiro right now.
00:26:44.000 Okay.
00:26:45.000 As the Democrats softly claim that they're not in favor of the violence and the protests and the looting and all of this sort of stuff.
00:26:51.000 Well, they try to separate off the protests from the violence, but as soon as you condemn the violence, they say you're condemning the protests.
00:26:56.000 This is their little game, their little Mott & Bailey game.
00:26:59.000 Well, Kamala Harris continues to make the case that black people in America are systemic victims.
00:27:03.000 So here is Kamala Harris, the vice presidential nominee of a major party, a senator from California, And a woman who, according to Forbes.com, has a net worth in excess of $6 million, talking about how black people in the United States have never been treated as fully human.
00:27:18.000 Which is weird, because it seems like Kamala Harris has been treated as fully human.
00:27:21.000 Here is Kamala Harris, a full human, speaking as though she has not been treated as fully human because black people are not treated as fully human.
00:27:29.000 The reality is that the life of a black person in America has never been treated as fully human.
00:27:36.000 And we have yet to fulfill that promise of equal justice under law.
00:27:44.000 We will only achieve that when we finally come together to pass meaningful police reform and broader criminal justice reform and acknowledge Yes, acknowledge and address systemic racism.
00:28:00.000 Okay, it's the last point that she wants to harp on, right?
00:28:03.000 When it comes to police reform, she doesn't give a damn.
00:28:05.000 She doesn't.
00:28:05.000 I mean, she didn't as a prosecutor in California, she didn't as the Attorney General of California, and she's one of the people who filibustered at Tim Scott's bill to actually undergo some police reform.
00:28:14.000 And she filibustered it.
00:28:16.000 So what she actually cares about is we have to acknowledge systemic racism.
00:28:19.000 Now, here's the game.
00:28:20.000 The minute that you say, OK, you're not defining your term, but all right.
00:28:24.000 They say, OK, well, now we require this commitment from you.
00:28:26.000 A, B, C, D and E. None of them have to do with actually militating against inequality.
00:28:32.000 None of them have to do with effectuating greater rights for black Americans.
00:28:35.000 All of them have to do with an explicit political agenda for the Democratic Party.
00:28:41.000 I'm sorry, I don't trust Kamala Harris on issues of what constitutes racism, considering one year ago she was calling her running mate a racist, and now she says that it's completely irrelevant.
00:28:49.000 For Kamala Harris, as with so much of the Democratic Party, charges of racism are merely a tool to be used in order to blow up obstacles in your way, namely people you don't like.
00:28:58.000 And the minute they become allies, well, you just forget about all of that.
00:29:01.000 And so, the predictable result of all of this is that people are emboldened to engage in all sorts of awful behavior, because things aren't cooling down, are they?
00:29:09.000 Now, I was informed that Joe Biden is so powerful in his verbiage alone, that in his very persona, he can calm the waters.
00:29:15.000 After all, he's proposed zero actual effective policy when it comes to any of this stuff.
00:29:19.000 He's talked about, if not, quote unquote, defunding the police, shifting funds away from the police and towards social workers, right?
00:29:26.000 He has, I love the semantic games that are played here.
00:29:30.000 The Democrats say, defund the police.
00:29:32.000 And then people are like, that sounds like a terrible idea.
00:29:34.000 Like, well, we don't actually mean defund the police when we say defund the police.
00:29:36.000 All we mean is shift funding away from the cops and toward other social services.
00:29:40.000 And then you say, okay, but that sounds like defunding the police because you're actually taking funding away from the police.
00:29:45.000 Like, no, no, no, no, no, no.
00:29:46.000 So why did you say defunding the police in the first place?
00:29:48.000 Well, that's what we mean by defunding the police.
00:29:50.000 This is all gaslighting nonsense.
00:29:53.000 So the Democratic Party does not have an agenda here other than to use the animus and the rage in the streets as a weapon against the American public and say, OK, well, if you if you want this to stop, all you got to do is check on this dotted line right here.
00:30:07.000 Just punch this Chad right here and all this can end tomorrow.
00:30:10.000 OK, so all of this results in increased violence around the country.
00:30:14.000 Seattle, the violence continued to rage last night.
00:30:17.000 A Seattle mob actually went to private homes last night, which always a great look.
00:30:20.000 The Seattle mob went out to the suburbs and they tried to find the head of the police union.
00:30:25.000 And they literally marched up to people's houses and threatened them.
00:30:29.000 So you can see this tape, a woman literally walking up the front steps to somebody's private home.
00:30:36.000 Really classy stuff happening here.
00:30:39.000 And nobody should feel threatened after all.
00:30:40.000 I mean, this is all just the best among us.
00:30:42.000 I mean, I've been told by Barack Obama, these protesters are the best among us.
00:30:45.000 Speaking of the best among us, protesters went out to Lafayette Park last night because President Trump was speaking from the lawn of the White House.
00:30:51.000 We'll get to President Trump's speech.
00:30:53.000 We'll get to the legality of it.
00:30:54.000 It is legal.
00:30:55.000 We'll get to the image of it and all of that.
00:30:58.000 Don't worry, we'll get to the RNC because all of this is the lead up to the RNC.
00:31:00.000 As I say, the real RNC was not the RNC.
00:31:02.000 The real RNC was the Democrats tut-tutting, violence, rioting, looting.
00:31:09.000 Badgering and harassing of innocent Americans in the streets.
00:31:14.000 Every one of these people, if they vote, will be a Biden voter.
00:31:17.000 Every single one of them.
00:31:19.000 Okay, so if that is the case, okay, if that is the case, then that was the real RNC.
00:31:24.000 I said yesterday that I would just make night four of the RNC a livestream of what was happening in Kenosha.
00:31:30.000 Okay, you could've just livestreamed Lafayette Park.
00:31:31.000 That would've been just as effective.

00:32:50.000 In just a second, we're gonna get to the events in Lafayette Park last night.
00:32:56.000 Because, again, this was the contrast.
00:32:57.000 You want the contrast?
00:32:59.000 You got the contrast.
00:33:00.000 We'll talk about that in a second.
00:33:01.000 First, it is that glorious time of the week when I give a shoutout to a Daily Wire member.
00:33:05.000 Today, it is Sarah O'Connor on Twitter, who understands the right way to prep for continued scholastic success.
00:33:10.000 And also, how to fight the Terminator in the pick.
00:33:13.000 Sarah is getting ready to enjoy a bowl of cereal while happily holding the world's most elite beverage vessel.
00:33:17.000 The caption reads, starting off the new school year right with a nutritious breakfast of assorted grains and left to steers courtesy of the most glorious drinking vessel.
00:33:25.000 Thanks Daily Wire for all the work you do.
00:33:27.000 Hashtag Daily Wire.
00:33:28.000 Hashtag left to steers tumblr.
00:33:29.000 Hashtag Trump 2020.
00:33:30.000 Awesome stuff.
00:33:31.000 Keep that routine up, and I promise you will increase your GPA.
00:33:34.000 Well, if I can't promise that, at least I promise that you will be fortified for whatever comes next.
00:33:39.000 Thanks for the picture.
00:33:40.000 Good luck with your studies.
00:33:41.000 Also, tonight, we will be holding one of our celebrated Daily Wire Backstages.
00:33:46.000 Award winning!
00:33:47.000 The award's given by me.
00:33:48.000 Last week, we covered all aspects of the DNC, both hilarious and the depressing, and then we argued for like half an hour behind the paywall about regulations on social media.
00:33:55.000 This week, We'll be recapping all the best moments of the RNC, and I'm sure we'll be talking about the riots in the streets.
00:34:01.000 Join me, Andrew Klavan, Michael Knowles, and Jeremy Boring tonight at 4 p.m.
00:34:04.000 Pacific.
00:34:05.000 Do not miss it.
00:34:06.000 You're listening to the largest, fastest growing conservative podcast and radio show in the nation.
00:34:09.000 So the fact is that a certain number of Americans have watched the RNC over the course of this week.
00:34:19.000 Maybe some 15 million Americans, 20 million Americans.
00:34:23.000 Certainly not half of Americans.
00:34:24.000 But all Americans are pretty well aware of what's going on in the country thanks to the interwebs.
00:34:28.000 The media tried to black out the riots and the looting.
00:34:30.000 They've tried to pretend for literally months on end that this stuff has not been going on.
00:34:32.000 I'm old enough to remember when they declared that what was happening in my home city of Los Angeles was quote-unquote mostly peaceful protests while they literally curfewed the city at 7 p.m.
00:34:41.000 every single evening And in Beverly Hills at 1pm, so rioters and looters could go around shattering windows and threatening people.
00:34:47.000 So, the media tried to black it out, the Democrats tried to black it out, and now it's just bursting out into the open.
00:34:51.000 Last night at Lafayette Park, the contrast could not have been more stark.
00:34:56.000 The fact is that you're either standing with the people you're about to see, or you're standing against these people.
00:35:00.000 And their agenda.
00:35:01.000 Because their agenda is not a good agenda.
00:35:04.000 So, last night, you saw people chanting, if we don't get justice, burn it down.
00:35:08.000 And they're standing, by the way, outside St.
00:35:10.000 John's Church.
00:35:11.000 The church they tried to burn down.
00:35:12.000 These protesters.
00:35:13.000 Protesters.
00:35:14.000 Rioters and looters.
00:35:16.000 And we saw this happen not that long ago.
00:35:18.000 Well, there they were outside the church again being like, you know what, if we don't get what we want, we're burning it down.
00:35:22.000 Now, you may notice that there are a lot of people there in very, very close proximity to one another not wearing masks.
00:35:43.000 This will become relevant because later when we talk about President Trump's address on the South Lawn of the White House, the media went nuts because look at all these terrible people who are sitting there without masks on in close proximity.
00:35:54.000 Yeah, so they care about that when it's one type of person.
00:35:57.000 When it's another type of person, racial justice demands that you be able to spit in somebody else's face and give them COVID.
00:36:03.000 In any case, that is a secondary point.
00:36:04.000 You have people literally saying they want to burn things down if they don't get what they want.
00:36:08.000 Again, I don't remember any of this at the Tea Party, and they were called terrorists by the media.
00:36:11.000 And then we saw some Non-violent violence, right?
00:36:14.000 This was, like, for example, I saw a mostly peaceful punch last night.
00:36:17.000 So there was a guy, a white guy, who's walking down the street with his wife.
00:36:21.000 Apparently these people look like they're at the very least in their 60s.
00:36:24.000 Okay, and she's wearing a Trump 2020 shirt, and the white guy's just walking down the street.
00:36:28.000 Some young piece of crap, who has a bullhorn, and he's shouting directly into his ear, probably doing him some sort of ear damage.
00:36:37.000 There's a jacket.
00:36:38.000 And then, out of the blue, comes a guy from behind and just clocks him in the back.
00:36:41.000 Mostly a peaceful punch.
00:36:43.000 A mostly peaceful punch, according to the media.
00:36:45.000 It was a punch, but mostly peaceful, is what I saw right there.
00:36:49.000 Also, protesters held a mock execution of President Trump.
00:36:53.000 So that was very exciting stuff.
00:36:54.000 They held a mock execution of President Trump.
00:36:55.000 They brought out a guillotine.
00:36:57.000 You know, it's so funny.
00:36:58.000 People on the left are constantly quoting the Toni Morrison line, that if they tell you who they are, believe them.
00:37:03.000 You might want to believe them.
00:37:04.000 Here they were in Lafayette Park.
00:37:06.000 They assembled the guillotine.
00:37:07.000 So it's good to know that these people can't hold down a job, but they can assemble a guillotine.
00:37:11.000 By the way, they put one up outside Jeff Bezos' house yesterday.
00:37:14.000 All I could think of is, I hope Jeff Bezos sends the Amazon drones.
00:37:17.000 He'd be like, ah, I see you brought your 18th century execution device.
00:37:20.000 Welcome to 2020, bitches.
00:37:22.000 That would've been kind of great.
00:37:22.000 But in any case, They brought the guillotine into Lafayette Park and they put together a mannequin of President Trump and then beheaded it.
00:37:31.000 So, I'm old enough to remember when a rodeo clown lost his job because he wore a Barack Obama mask at the Missouri State Fair.
00:37:39.000 And the entire media were like, America is systemically racist because a rodeo clown wore a mask of a president.
00:37:44.000 By the way, that rodeo clown had worn masks of other presidents as well, it didn't matter.
00:37:48.000 He was fired from his job.
00:37:49.000 But mock executions of Trump right outside the White House, no problem.
00:37:52.000 Meanwhile, the crowd was surrounding Secret Service agents and threatening them.
00:37:54.000 So that was exciting as well.
00:37:56.000 They were standing right outside the fence, and they were really on top of the Secret Service agent.
00:38:01.000 They were trying to open this so they could get the Secret Service agent inside.
00:38:03.000 You can see them crowding him, trying to prevent him from moving.
00:38:05.000 There's the crowd trying to hem him in.
00:38:13.000 Eventually, they did get the Secret Service agent inside the fence.
00:38:16.000 This poor guy.
00:38:17.000 Okay, and then, the protesters started attacking the cops as well, so that was good.
00:38:21.000 This is all in Lafayette Park, right outside the White House, where Trump is speaking about law and order.
00:38:24.000 So, excellent juxtaposition, Democrats.
00:38:26.000 Really well done, protesters.
00:38:27.000 So here are some protesters getting rowdy with the police.
00:38:30.000 You can see people trying to kick the cops, people trying to fight the cops.
00:38:41.000 One of my favorite aspects of this particular tape is if you continue it long enough, you'll actually see a white lady screaming at a black officer, which is always my favorite, is when you see a Karen screaming at a black officer about systemic American racism.
00:38:55.000 So lots of good stuff happening last night in Lafayette Park.
00:38:59.000 And then this progressed into after the RNC, after Trump made his speech, a lot of the people who attended that were walking outside the White House on the street.
00:39:08.000 And many of these people are older folks.
00:39:10.000 They're all dressed nicely because they were just at the White House.
00:39:13.000 And you see these pieces of human crap who are standing outside and flipping the bird and harassing and getting up in the faces of elderly people who are just walking out of the White House trying to leave.
00:39:25.000 There you see a young guy who is screaming at people.
00:39:27.000 You see a young woman running up to this elderly couple and screaming at them at the top of her lungs.
00:39:32.000 People being harassed and jeered.
00:39:35.000 And there you see a man.
00:39:36.000 That guy's gotta be, what, maybe 23, 24?
00:39:39.000 Double birding.
00:39:39.000 Throwing a double bird to, like, a seven... That lady's gotta be 75.
00:39:42.000 Right?
00:39:43.000 Some 75-year-old woman.
00:39:44.000 Throwing the double bird to her.
00:39:46.000 Really a classy look, by the way.
00:39:48.000 And then you see that here's a couple walking down the street.
00:39:52.000 More people being harassed.
00:39:56.000 killing of black individuals in the United States.
00:40:00.000 Mr. Eger, how do you feel about the killing of black individuals in the United States?
00:40:07.000 How do you feel about the killing of black individuals in America?
00:40:12.000 Put your hands on me again.
00:40:14.000 Put your hands on me again and I'll f**k you up!
00:40:17.000 Put your hands on me again and I'll f**k you up!
00:40:20.000 Hands on me again and I'll f**k you up!
00:40:21.000 What?
00:40:21.000 What?
00:40:22.000 Hands on me again and I'll f**k you up!
00:40:25.000 What?
00:40:26.000 What?
00:40:27.000 All they're trying to do is get in the hotel, by the way.
00:40:29.000 That crazy person is blocking the door.
00:40:31.000 Then, they're walking into the parking lot and being harassed and screamed at by this insane person.
00:40:37.000 Forget about jailing that lady.
00:40:38.000 I don't know where the hell her parents were when she was growing up.
00:40:38.000 Jail her parents.
00:40:41.000 But that trust fund kid, that white trust fund girl, I have a feeling they should have cut off that trust fund long ago.
00:40:46.000 So people acting like complete pieces of crap, harassing people who are just trying to get back to their hotel, getting in their faces.
00:40:52.000 You think this is a good look?
00:40:53.000 Senator Rand Paul, this one is so ironic, I can't even express how ironic this is.
00:40:57.000 So Senator Rand Paul.
00:40:58.000 This is the United States of America, by the way.
00:41:00.000 from the White House and they are surrounded by a crowd who attempt to assault them.
00:41:04.000 And the police have to intervene and the police have to form kind of a barrier around a sitting senator from Kentucky.
00:41:09.000 And here's what that looked like.
00:41:10.000 Move back!
00:41:12.000 Thank you, thank you.
00:41:14.000 Thank you, thank you.
00:41:16.000 Move back!
00:41:21.000 Move the f*** back!
00:41:23.000 This is the United States of America, by the way.
00:41:25.000 Sitting senators being surrounded and harassed.
00:41:28.000 and then they hit a police officer.
00:41:30.000 Paul turns around and tries to make sure the police officer's okay.
00:41:36.000 And his wife is pulling him away like, Rand, we gotta go here.
00:41:39.000 I mean, what a great look.
00:41:41.000 By the way, they were chanting at Rand Paul, say her name.
00:41:44.000 Rand Paul is the lead sponsor and creator of the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act.
00:41:50.000 I'm not kidding you.
00:41:51.000 Because Rand Paul is a libertarian, he wants to ratchet down police presence.
00:41:56.000 Rand Paul's Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, literally an act named after Breonna Taylor, is about abolishing no-knock police raids.
00:42:03.000 But they're screaming at him, say her name, because they don't give a damn.
00:42:05.000 These people don't give a damn.
00:42:06.000 They don't give a damn about legislation or about making the country better or even about policy.
00:42:11.000 This misnomer that they care about making the country better in any way.
00:42:15.000 Has anything in the country gotten better since the BLM protests started?
00:42:18.000 Name the thing.
00:42:19.000 Name it.
00:42:19.000 I keep saying this.
00:42:20.000 I'm waiting.
00:42:21.000 What got better?
00:42:22.000 Did race relations get better?
00:42:23.000 Do people feel more warmly about one another?
00:42:25.000 Do people feel more racial solidarity?
00:42:27.000 Do people feel like the problems of the United States are being healed or are they being exacerbated?
00:42:31.000 And meanwhile, the Democrats said nothing about any of this for a full week, and they let cities burn, and Portland burns, and Seattle burns, and Chicago burns, and Washington D.C.
00:42:38.000 burns.
00:42:39.000 I mean, what in the hell?
00:42:41.000 Okay, so this was the juxtaposition.
00:42:44.000 And by the way, you want to know how you can tell that nobody gives a damn about actually doing good or the agenda here?
00:42:50.000 And how this is just propagandistic, sloganeering nonsense?
00:42:53.000 So this clip is notable only for what the protester keeps shouting in the face of a sitting representative from Florida.
00:42:58.000 So there's a representative named Brian Mast, And protesters confront Brian Mast and they start screaming at him.
00:43:05.000 What do you think about the police shooting black people?
00:43:06.000 He says, well, anytime somebody is wrongfully shot in the United States, that's bad.
00:43:09.000 He said, but yes, but what about police shooting black people?
00:43:11.000 And he says, well, anytime people are shot wrongfully in the United States, that's bad.
00:43:16.000 Yes, but what about police shooting black?
00:43:17.000 See, the premise is that you have to acknowledge against all available evidence that the police are disproportionately shooting black people, that black people are the victims of the American system, and that if you fail to acknowledge this openly, even if you say that you want justice for everybody who is mistreated in the United States, that's not good enough.
00:43:33.000 You have to accept the fundamental disintegrationist premise That America is, was, and always will be a horribly racist place until you tear down all systems.
00:43:41.000 Here is that in a ridiculous 30 second nutshell.
00:43:44.000 How do you feel about police killing black people?
00:43:51.000 It's far wrong to take anybody's rights away.
00:43:54.000 That's that all eyes matter.
00:43:55.000 Black people.
00:43:59.000 How do you feel about police killing black people?
00:44:03.000 Anybody murdered is wrong.
00:44:04.000 Anybody.
00:44:04.000 How do you feel about police murdering black people in this country?
00:44:07.000 Black people!
00:44:26.000 Okay, so he's literally calmly just saying that it would be very wrong if a black person is murdered wrongly.
00:44:30.000 And they're like, doesn't matter!
00:44:31.000 What do you say about police shooting blacks?
00:44:32.000 Because again, the facts don't matter.
00:44:35.000 The stats don't matter.
00:44:36.000 The only thing that matters is the overarching narrative.
00:44:38.000 A narrative that the Democrats keep backing.
00:44:41.000 And they cannot find a way to thread this needle.
00:44:43.000 They cannot.
00:44:44.000 Because in order to make the case that you ought to give them power and they'll fix it from within the system, You also have to make the case that the system is worth upholding, and they cannot make that system.
00:44:52.000 Ibram Kendi has made it impossible to make that case.
00:44:55.000 Robin DiAngelo has made it impossible to make that case.
00:44:57.000 Either the system is so thoroughly corrupt it cannot be shored up from the inside and needs to be torn down, in which case rioting and looting are a natural outgrowth of that program, or the system is inherently good and worthwhile upholding, in which case your entire premise that America is a bad place and a systemically evil place is not true.
00:45:16.000 And this is the problem.
00:45:17.000 Democrats cannot face this down.
00:45:18.000 They cannot.
00:45:18.000 Or at least they are unwilling to do so.
00:45:21.000 So, that brings us to the RNC last night.
00:45:24.000 And the great theme of the RNC last night was indeed that the Democratic Party has been taken over by the Radicals.
00:45:28.000 They didn't even need to make the case.
00:45:30.000 The case was right out there in the open.
00:45:33.000 The case was pretty clear because all you had to do was look at that tape from Lafayette Park where innocent people who are just walking away from a political event are being harassed.
00:45:41.000 Let me note, let's assume for a second that instead of Black Lives Matter protesters and rioters and looters, that the people we were actually looking at were alt-right people standing outside a Biden campaign rally harassing people as they went outside.
00:45:53.000 Do you think that we might have a conversation with every single Republican about disassociating from the movement?
00:45:59.000 Single.
00:45:59.000 Every.
00:46:00.000 One.
00:46:01.000 Do you think maybe they'd be made to answer for this sort of stuff?
00:46:04.000 And yet, will an establishment Democrat be asked to disassociate from this sort of stuff?
00:46:07.000 Will they be asked, do you agree with the Black Lives Matter organizational agenda?
00:46:12.000 Will they be asked, do you believe that the system is worth preserving when you say that the system itself is systemically racist?
00:46:19.000 Well, no one will be asked this question because of course the media believe the same thing that many of the protesters believe.
00:46:25.000 They're just arguing at this point over means.
00:46:27.000 They're not arguing over ends.
00:46:28.000 And so long as you're arguing over means, not ends, it's a Bolshevik versus Menshevik fight.
00:46:33.000 And that is a real problem for the United States.
00:46:33.000 Okay?
00:46:36.000 It would be better if we had two parties that actually believed in the inherent goodness of America, rather than apparently only one party that still cares about the inherent goodness of the United States.
00:46:43.000 So that was the theme of the convention last night.
00:46:45.000 It was a very clear theme.
00:46:47.000 It was made clear, most obviously, by Ann Dorn.
00:46:50.000 So we've only been allowed to talk about... You want to say his name?
00:46:54.000 Say the name David Dorn.
00:46:55.000 How many of these protesters know the name David Dorn?
00:46:57.000 The answer is none.
00:46:59.000 David Dorn is an actual victim of violence.
00:47:01.000 David Dorn is an actual victim of undeserved violence.
00:47:05.000 He is not a person who resisted arrest and then went to his car and reached into the car and there was a knife on the floorboards.
00:47:11.000 He is not a person who tazed two police officers.
00:47:15.000 He is not a person who attempted to resist arrest or was in the process of committing a crime.
00:47:21.000 David Dorn was a person who is defending private property and he was murdered on the streets and no one gives two dams in the media.
00:47:29.000 David Dorn is not a household name, the way that any of the other household names you know are household names.
00:47:33.000 His wife, Ann Dorn, spoke at the RNC last night, and she says, I relive the horror.
00:47:39.000 You need to stop these riots.
00:47:40.000 We need more David Dorns.
00:47:42.000 That is correct.
00:47:43.000 This is correct.
00:47:45.000 And this was the theme of the RNC last night.
00:47:48.000 I relive that horror in my mind every single day.
00:47:54.000 My hope is that having you relive it with me now will help shake this country from this nightmare we are witnessing in our cities and bring about positive, peaceful change.
00:48:08.000 In a time when police departments are short on resources and manpower, we need that help.
00:48:14.000 We should accept that help.
00:48:16.000 We must heal before we can affect change.
00:48:19.000 But we cannot heal amid devastation and chaos.
00:48:24.000 President Trump knows we need more Davids in our communities, not fewer.
00:48:28.000 I'm old enough to remember when this was a bipartisan concern.
00:48:31.000 In fact, I'm old enough to remember in my dim memory, because I was 10 years old at the time, when people like Joe Biden were backing exactly the kind of stuff that Ann Dorn is saying.
00:48:39.000 That we need more people like David Dorn in our communities, not fewer.
00:48:42.000 That the police are not the bad guys.
00:48:43.000 They're the ones standing between the bad guys and you.
00:48:46.000 I'm old enough to remember when the Democratic Party had sister-soldier moments.
00:48:50.000 When Bill Clinton stood up and he said, advocating racial violence is a mistake.
00:48:55.000 It's wrong.
00:48:56.000 It's bad to do.
00:48:57.000 I'm old enough to remember that.
00:48:59.000 Are you?
00:49:01.000 If you aren't, maybe you should wonder what happened to the Democratic Party such that they are having such a damned difficult time saying that rioting and looting are wrong, that America is actually a fundamentally good place.
00:49:11.000 Now, Joe Biden will say it in his acceptance speech at the DNC.
00:49:15.000 He'll say it because he'll lie to you that that's the program of the Democratic Party.
00:49:18.000 Just as I said last week when he covered the DNC, there was a fundamental disconnect between what was happening at the DNC in the non-prime time hours and what was happening at the DNC in the prime time hours.
00:49:27.000 During the non-prime time hours, they're removing God from the Pledge of Allegiance twice.
00:49:30.000 During the non-prime time hours, they were urging people to kneel for the national anthem.
00:49:33.000 During prime time, it was Joe Biden talking about how America is a wonderful country, and the Constitution is great, and the Declaration is great, and the founding ideals are wonderful.
00:49:40.000 So who do you believe?
00:49:41.000 Who do you believe?
00:49:42.000 Joe Biden?
00:49:43.000 Or your own lying eyes?
00:49:45.000 Who do you believe?
00:49:46.000 And why is it that every democratic city that has been experiencing these riots has allowed them to move forward?
00:49:52.000 If they agree with you that America is a place worth defending, why won't they defend it?
00:49:56.000 Why won't they?
00:49:58.000 Okay, so the defense of the United States was indeed the theme of the final night of the RNC.
00:50:04.000 The final night of the RNC kicked off with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
00:50:08.000 He suggested that the Republican Party is indeed the bulwark against the radical leftist agenda, which At this point, is accurate.
00:50:15.000 I mean, this is the argument.
00:50:16.000 The argument is that this is not about Trump versus Biden.
00:50:18.000 It's about agenda versus agenda.
00:50:20.000 It's about unionists versus disintegrationists.
00:50:22.000 It's about people who believe that the country is good versus people who fundamentally do not believe that the country is particularly good or worth upholding.
00:50:28.000 Here is Mitch McConnell making that case last night in his own inimitably electrifying fashion.
00:50:33.000 Turtley, turtley Mitch McConnell.
00:50:35.000 I'm immensely proud of the work the Republican Senate has done.
00:50:39.000 We are the firewall against Nancy Pelosi's agenda.
00:50:43.000 Like President Trump, we won't be bullied by liberal media intent on destroying America's institutions.
00:50:51.000 We will stand our post on behalf of the millions of Americans whose stories aren't told in today's newspapers, whose struggles are just as real.
00:51:01.000 Okay, so this was again the theme.
00:51:03.000 Jeff Van Drew is a Democrat turned Republican.
00:51:07.000 In New Jersey.
00:51:08.000 And he said, listen, Joe Biden, that guy is run by the radicals.
00:51:11.000 You may think that he has some sort of wall against the radical wing of the party.
00:51:14.000 Can you show a shred of evidence to that effect?
00:51:18.000 When the Democrats tried to order me around, I was ready, willing, and able to say, I've had enough with their radical socialist agenda.
00:51:29.000 Do you really believe Joe Biden is ready, willing, and most of all, able to do the same?
00:51:36.000 As Joe says, come on, man.
00:51:40.000 Joe Biden is being told what to do by the radicals running my former party.
00:51:45.000 The same radicals trying to install him as their puppet president.
00:51:51.000 So this is the theme Rudy Giuliani spoke.
00:51:53.000 So Rudy did not, in fact, speak about Ukraine or impeachment or anything like that.
00:51:56.000 He focused in on what he was best at, which was stopping crime in New York City.
00:51:59.000 The reason that Rudy Giuliani was considered America's mayor was not just because of 9-11.
00:52:02.000 It's because he took a city in complete disarray in the early 1990s and turned Times Square from basically a seedy hotspot where you picked up prostitutes into Disneyland in the middle of New York City.
00:52:13.000 He took it from one of the least safe cities in the United States to one of the most safe cities in the United States.
00:52:16.000 And he says, listen, Don't let Democrats do for the country what they are currently doing to all of America's major cities.
00:52:22.000 New Yorkers wonder, how did we get overwhelmed by crime so quickly and declined so fast?
00:52:30.000 Don't let Democrats do to America what they have done to New York.
00:52:34.000 It is clear that a vote for Biden and the Democrats creates the risk that you will bring this lawlessness to your city, to your town, to your suburb.
00:52:45.000 Okay, and he is not wrong about this.
00:52:47.000 There is tape from Seattle of people going into the suburbs.
00:52:49.000 There was tape from Kenosha of people talking about walking into the suburbs.
00:52:53.000 This is ugly, ugly stuff, and the Republicans are right to harp on it.
00:52:56.000 Dana White, who's the head of the UFC, he spoke at the 2016 convention for Trump.
00:52:59.000 He's friends with Trump.
00:53:00.000 He spoke again in 2020.
00:53:01.000 He said, you've got to stop demeaning the police.
00:53:03.000 The police are, in fact, the solution to this problem.
00:53:04.000 They are not the problem.
00:53:07.000 It blows my mind how quickly some of the leadership in this country has forgotten the critical role first responders play in our society.
00:53:16.000 Police departments and other law enforcement, even some fire departments, have faced opposition from many in this country.
00:53:24.000 But they are always the people who are asked to step up when things are at their worst and put themselves at risk.
00:53:31.000 That has certainly been the case during this ongoing pandemic.
00:53:35.000 Come on, America!
00:53:36.000 Defunding these vital positions is not the answer!
00:53:42.000 Again, this is one of the big themes.
00:53:43.000 Now, this was balanced out by the fact that President Trump, while proclaiming law and order, has been quite sympathetic to people who are trying to make their lives better after having committed crimes.
00:53:52.000 He signed into criminal justice reform.
00:53:54.000 Now, I've had problems with criminal justice reform because I think that there are elements of it that soften sentences for criminals.
00:53:59.000 And frankly, I think that if you're a criminal, mostly you belong in prison.
00:54:02.000 There are some people who make the best of their lives.
00:54:04.000 One of those people, however, was Alice Marie Johnson.
00:54:06.000 When President Trump heard about me, about the injustice of my story, he saw me as a person.
00:54:10.000 and then he signed into law the criminal justice reform bill.
00:54:13.000 Alice Johnson spoke at the RNC last night and she pointed out that under Joe Biden's bill, she went to jail and Donald Trump saw her as a human being who had decided to make the best of her life.
00:54:23.000 When President Trump heard about me, about the injustice of my story, he saw me as a person.
00:54:31.000 He had compassion and he acted.
00:54:37.000 Free in body, thanks to President Trump, but free in mind, thanks to the almighty God.
00:54:45.000 I couldn't believe it.
00:54:47.000 I always remembered that God knew my name, even in my darkest hour.
00:54:53.000 But I never thought a president would.
00:54:58.000 Okay, so all this was very good stuff at the RNC last night for President Trump.
00:55:01.000 Tom Cotton played a tack dog last night against Joe Biden.
00:55:05.000 He says, you know, while Democrats are encouraging people to take a knee for America, it's not time to take a knee for America.
00:55:09.000 It's time to stand up for America and pledge allegiance to America.
00:55:12.000 Again, this is a message that Republicans should be hammering on.
00:55:15.000 China's not giving up.
00:55:16.000 In fact, they're rooting for Joe Biden.
00:55:19.000 America's other enemies won't give up either.
00:55:22.000 But Joe Biden would be as wrong and weak over the next four years as he has been for the last 50.
00:55:30.000 We need a president who stands up for America, not one who takes a knee.
00:55:36.000 A strong and proud America is a safe America, safe from our enemies and safe from war.
00:55:43.000 Okay, so this is the overall message of the RNC over the last four nights, right?
00:55:47.000 Touting some of the stuff that Trump has done on the record, pushing on the notion that the Democrats have backed, again, a narrative that really tears the country apart.
00:55:55.000 So how have the media responded to all this?
00:55:56.000 So there were two big media narratives last night as all this was unfolding.
00:56:00.000 One big media narrative is that Donald Trump is a bad man because he spoke from the White House.
00:56:03.000 So Valerie Jarrett, the former chief of staff to Barack Obama, She tweeted out that she was very upset.
00:56:09.000 She said, the White House has never before been used as a political prop during a convention.
00:56:12.000 It belongs to all of the American people, not just those who support one party.
00:56:15.000 Oh, it's never been used as a political prop, has it?
00:56:17.000 Mm-hmm.
00:56:18.000 I'm old enough to remember when Barack Obama lit the White House up with a gay pride flag after the Obergefell decision.
00:56:23.000 I'm old enough to remember when Barack Obama used the White House to film all sorts of campaign videos.
00:56:28.000 I mean, I'm old enough to remember, in fact, when Barack Obama turned the White House into a place where he could watch his favorite musicians perform their favorite concerts.
00:56:38.000 I'm sorry, the sort of new pearl clutching propriety at the uses of the White House for political purposes.
00:56:45.000 I may not love it.
00:56:46.000 It is legal.
00:56:47.000 The White House, the Office of Government Ethics was asked specifically whether Trump could speak on the South Lawn.
00:56:53.000 The South Lawn is not technically a government building because it's a lawn.
00:56:56.000 And so they said, yes, he can use it.
00:56:58.000 It is worth noting that Ronald Reagan announced his reelection bid from the Oval Office.
00:57:04.000 That Jimmy Carter announced his re-election bid from the East Room of the White House?
00:57:08.000 That FDR accepted his nomination in 1940 for the Democratic Party from the White House?
00:57:12.000 So there is, in fact, precedent for this.
00:57:14.000 It's the middle of a global pandemic, makes it kind of difficult to assemble a crowd at a major place.
00:57:19.000 So narrative number one was very, very bad that Trump spoke from the White House.
00:57:22.000 And you're right, if a Democrat did it, I'd be kind of pissed.
00:57:24.000 And Trump did it?
00:57:25.000 I don't think it's wonderful.
00:57:26.000 I think Trump could have figured out a thousand ways to do this differently.
00:57:29.000 Is this going to lose Trump any votes?
00:57:32.000 The pearl clutching from people who are poo-pooing actual riots in America's major cities.
00:57:37.000 Also, the media were very, very upset at the lack of social distancing.
00:57:40.000 So the media played this wonderful, wonderful game where social distancing is super important so long as you're a conservative or a churchgoer or a person who wants to go to school or go to your work.
00:57:48.000 Social distancing is really, really important.
00:57:50.000 Mask wearing is super important.
00:57:51.000 If, however, you're out in the streets screaming at a police officer, Totally fine.
00:57:55.000 So now this, which is a leftist news source.
00:57:57.000 They tweeted out, Okay, so first of all, worth noting, it's outdoors.
00:57:59.000 Second of all, the selective outrage with regard to masking and social distancing is pretty astonishing, is it not?
00:58:03.000 I mean, the selective outrage is so over the top.
00:58:05.000 How do I know?
00:58:05.000 distancing hashtag RNC 2020. Okay so first of all worth noting it's outdoors. Second of all, the selective outrage with regard to masking and social distancing is pretty astonishing is it not?
00:58:15.000 I mean the selective outrage is so over the top. How do I know? Here's the headline today from the Washington Post. March on Washington updates.
00:58:23.000 Thousands gather at Lincoln Memorial to march for racial equality.
00:58:27.000 March on Washington organizers expect 50,000 people to gather in Washington on Friday to call for criminal justice reform and racial equity and to honor the 57th anniversary of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.' 's I Have a Dream address from the same spot.
00:58:40.000 Organizers began planning in June after the funeral of George Floyd.
00:58:43.000 They recently lowered their crowd estimates, citing fewer buses arriving in the city because of COVID.
00:58:47.000 They plan to highlight the civil rights issues of today and bring well-known speakers to address the crowd while also mitigating the spread of the novel coronavirus with strict safety protocols.
00:58:56.000 Yes, I'm sure.
00:58:56.000 I'm sure.
00:58:57.000 By the way, there are already pictures emerging.
00:58:59.000 A lot of people are not actually wearing masks.
00:59:00.000 It's a little bit unwieldy.
00:59:02.000 We'll begin with speeches from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, followed by a choreographed march to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in West Potomac Park.
00:59:08.000 The event is expected to end around 3 p.m.
00:59:11.000 By the way, there are already pictures emerging.
00:59:13.000 A lot of people are not actually wearing masks.
00:59:15.000 A lot of people are grouped closely together, just like they were last night in the middle of these Lafayette Park protests.
00:59:20.000 The media have nothing to say about that sort of stuff.
00:59:22.000 So, you know they're clutching at straws and they're looking for a counter-narrative when the best they can do is that.
00:59:26.000 By the way, the best attempt at a counter-narrative was a woman named Andrea Bernstein from WNYC and ProPublica.
00:59:32.000 Last night, Ivanka Trump spoke at the RNC and it was, you know, eh.
00:59:36.000 I mean, Ivanka Trump is fine.
00:59:37.000 I don't know that she had anything special to say other than Trump is her dad.
00:59:40.000 But Ivanka, at one point, was talking about her three-year-old daughter making a Lego model of the White House.
00:59:47.000 Here is what Andrea Bernstein tweeted, quote, Ivanka Trump has tweeted a photo of her son Joseph, sorry, it's her son, three-year-old, with his grandfather at the Resolute Desk with the Lego White House.
00:59:56.000 I've asked the White House if three-year-old Joseph indeed built it of his own initiative and if he had assistance.
01:00:02.000 Will tweet reply if, when, I get it.
01:00:05.000 Wow.
01:00:05.000 I mean, that is some intrepid Woodward and Bernstein level journalism right there.
01:00:10.000 Did the three-year-old build the Lego White House of his own initiative?
01:00:14.000 Wow!
01:00:15.000 They're on top of it, guys.
01:00:16.000 So, the counter-narratives this morning are not enough social distancing at the White House.
01:00:20.000 Also, bad for Trump to use the White House as a backdrop.
01:00:23.000 Also, did Ivanka's three-year-old son build his own Lego White House?
01:00:27.000 Slow clap for our intrepid media.
01:00:29.000 Slow clap for these people who continue to maintain without evidence that what happened in Kenosha in the shooting was a white supremacist who went there for blood.
01:00:36.000 That cops are routinely out there waking up in the morning and killing black people.
01:00:40.000 And that all of this is Donald Trump's fault.
01:00:43.000 These reporters, they are so good at what they do.
01:00:44.000 Okay, so all of this brings us to Trump's actual speech.
01:00:47.000 And so now, finally, I know, we're going a bit long here, but a lot of news.
01:00:51.000 President Trump gives his final RNC acceptance speech.
01:00:54.000 The thing was way too long.
01:00:55.000 Okay, like it just ended five minutes ago.
01:00:57.000 I thought he was actually going to segue from his RNC nomination acceptance speech directly into his second inaugural.
01:01:03.000 I mean, that's how long this thing was taking.
01:01:06.000 I believe it was now officially the longest single acceptance speech in the modern history of acceptance speeches.
01:01:13.000 So it was way too long.
01:01:14.000 Buried in a 70-minute speech.
01:01:16.000 I understand they were trying to show that he's vigorous and he can go 70 minutes.
01:01:16.000 70 minutes.
01:01:19.000 Well, Joe Biden could barely stand upright for 24.
01:01:21.000 I get it.
01:01:22.000 But he didn't need to do it.
01:01:23.000 70 minutes.
01:01:25.000 That's a long time.
01:01:27.000 I mean, that's like the Lord of the Rings cycle.
01:01:29.000 Well, the speech was too long.
01:01:32.000 Buried in a 70-minute speech was about 25 minutes of an excellent speech.
01:01:36.000 And then there was this long litany of stuff that he'd done, things that he was going to do, and it sounded more like a State of the Union, frankly, than like an acceptance speech, which is supposed to be crystallized and condensed and drawing the contrast.
01:01:46.000 That stuff was in there, but it was buried in a bunch of other stuff.
01:01:48.000 So it was like a Wagnerian opera, and it was three hours and it could have been an hour and a half.
01:01:53.000 But in any case, Trump did say many of the things that needed to be said, and he said most of them in the first five minutes, which is the part that really matters.
01:01:59.000 And again, most people didn't watch the entire thing live.
01:02:00.000 People will watch clips of it.
01:02:01.000 So President Trump led off by, again, talking about pride in country, which is something that Democrats simply cannot talk about these days because they keep talking about how America is a horrible, evil place.
01:02:11.000 And always, unless they're running the place, it's horrible and evil.
01:02:14.000 Always.
01:02:15.000 So here is Trump talking about patriotism in the United States.
01:02:19.000 We will rekindle new faith in our values.
01:02:23.000 New pride in our history and a new spirit of unity that can only be realized through love for our great country.
01:02:31.000 Because we understand that America is not a land cloaked in darkness.
01:02:36.000 America is the torch that enlightens the entire world.
01:02:41.000 That's a beautiful line.
01:02:42.000 One of the problems for Trump is always the teleprompter Trump.
01:02:44.000 He's less energetic than Rally Trump, but you know what?
01:02:46.000 Better he should stay on teleprompter for the rest of this campaign.
01:02:49.000 If Trump just stays on teleprompter the rest of this campaign, I think he will be re-elected.
01:02:52.000 If he gets off teleprompter and starts tweeting random crap tomorrow, then obviously all the good work done by the RNC will be undone pretty quickly.
01:03:00.000 Trump talked about COVID.
01:03:03.000 And then he made a pledge, which the media were immediately freaking out because Trump basically said, we're developing a vaccine and maybe we'll produce a vaccine before the end of the year, maybe even sooner.
01:03:12.000 So they're saying he's going to October surprise this thing.
01:03:14.000 First of all, if he did, wouldn't that be like the best thing ever?
01:03:17.000 Forget politically.
01:03:18.000 Aren't you rooting for there to be a vaccine ready yesterday?
01:03:21.000 Here was Trump making this pledge and then the media being like, he's going to he's going to rush a vaccine out there.
01:03:26.000 And that would be bad because then he might win.
01:03:29.000 Here is Trump.
01:03:31.000 In recent months, our nation and the entire planet has been struck by a new and powerful, invisible enemy.
01:03:42.000 Like those brave Americans before us, we are meeting this challenge.
01:03:47.000 We are delivering life-saving therapies, and we'll produce a vaccine before the end of the year, or maybe even sooner.
01:03:58.000 Okay, so the media freaked out about this.
01:03:59.000 And then he started in with the real contrast between the two parties.
01:04:03.000 And this was the key section of his speech.
01:04:05.000 Frankly, I think his speech writers, if they haven't read the book, they certainly listen to the show.
01:04:08.000 Because when I talk about the contrast between a unionist vision of the United States and our history, and the disintegrationist vision of the United States and her history, that's what Trump was talking about.
01:04:18.000 Here was Trump talking about what drew America together, what makes America unique.
01:04:24.000 What united generations past was an unshakable confidence in America's destiny and an unbreakable faith in the American people.
01:04:36.000 They knew that our country is blessed by God and has a special purpose in this world.
01:04:43.000 It is that conviction that inspired the formation of our union, our westward expansion, the abolition of slavery, The passage of civil rights, the space program, and the overthrow of fascism, tyranny, and communism.
01:05:03.000 This towering American spirit has prevailed over every challenge and lifted us to the summit of human endeavor.
01:05:14.000 And yet, despite all of our greatness as a nation, everything we have achieved Is now in danger.
01:05:21.000 That is absolutely correct, obviously.
01:05:22.000 And then he goes on, he explicitly spells out the choice.
01:05:25.000 He says, this is really about the visions of America and you're going to have to pick.
01:05:30.000 At no time before have voters faced a clearer choice between two parties, two visions, two philosophies or two agendas.
01:05:42.000 This election will decide whether we save the American dream or whether we allow a socialist agenda to demolish our cherished destiny.
01:05:51.000 I mean, again, correct.
01:05:55.000 And then he got into what's happening in the streets.
01:05:56.000 And this is the chief issue, because all of these philosophical breaks have broken out into violence in the streets, right?
01:06:02.000 The people who are marching and the people who are rioting and looting, they are all 1619 Project believers.
01:06:07.000 They believe in the narrative.
01:06:08.000 That is the narrative they believe.
01:06:10.000 And meanwhile, the Democratic Party is saying we ought to give them space.
01:06:13.000 We have to let them do what they want to do.
01:06:14.000 Here is Trump saying, listen, there's either going to be a law abiding country that believes in itself or it ain't.
01:06:19.000 Your vote will decide whether we protect law abiding Americans or whether we give free reign to violent anarchists and agitators and criminals who threaten our citizens.
01:06:36.000 And this election will decide whether we We'll defend the American way of life or whether we will allow a radical movement to completely dismantle and destroy it.
01:06:48.000 That won't happen.
01:06:49.000 Okay, he continued along these lines.
01:06:51.000 He says, listen, at the DNC, they told you exactly what they believe, so you should probably believe them.
01:06:56.000 Here's what he said about the DNC and Biden specifically.
01:06:58.000 He name-checked Biden 41 times, right?
01:07:00.000 So clearly, Biden never mentioned Trump because the entire DNC was about Trump, so he never had to be named.
01:07:05.000 He's like Voldemort, you never had to say his name.
01:07:06.000 Trump was trying to make the issue Biden, but really more than Biden, the entire DNC.
01:07:10.000 Here he says exactly what he means about Biden's agenda.
01:07:15.000 At the Democrat National Convention, Joe Biden and his party repeatedly assailed America as a land of racial, economic, and social injustice.
01:07:26.000 So tonight I ask you a simple question.
01:07:30.000 How can the Democrat Party ask to lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?
01:07:37.000 Great line.
01:07:38.000 Great line and true.
01:07:39.000 How do you expect to lead the country when you say that the country is bad?
01:07:41.000 So you say, give us control of the system so we can tear down the system.
01:07:45.000 But also, if you're trying to tear down the system from the outside, you're bad?
01:07:47.000 Yeah, good luck with that.
01:07:48.000 Good luck.
01:07:49.000 Then Trump explicates this.
01:07:50.000 He says, there's a difference of visions in what America means.
01:07:55.000 In the left's backward view, they do not see America as the most free, just, and exceptional nation on Earth.
01:08:04.000 Instead, they see a wicked nation that must be punished for its sins.
01:08:10.000 Our opponents say that redemption for you can only come from giving power to them.
01:08:17.000 This is a tired anthem spoken by every repressive movement throughout history.
01:08:24.000 But in this country, we don't look to career politicians for salvation.
01:08:29.000 In America, we don't turn to government to restore our souls.
01:08:34.000 We put our faith in Almighty God.
01:08:36.000 This is a great one.
01:08:37.000 Again, buried in a 70-minute speech, there was some really, really, really good stuff.
01:08:41.000 Then he went into a litany of all the things Biden has done wrong over his career, from being friendly to China to being wrong on nearly every...
01:08:47.000 Foreign policy issue of our time.
01:08:49.000 And then he got to the main point about Joe Biden, which is that Biden is just a stand in for the Democratic agenda.
01:08:53.000 This is Trump clip 12.
01:08:55.000 Is Biden Biden as a as a Trojan horse for socialism, a case that I've been making pretty regularly?
01:09:01.000 Biden is a Trojan horse for socialism.
01:09:04.000 If Joe Biden doesn't have the strength to stand up to wild eyed Marxists like Bernie Sanders and his fellow radicals, and there are many There were many, many.
01:09:16.000 We see him all the time.
01:09:17.000 It's incredible, actually.
01:09:19.000 Then how is he ever going to stand up for you?
01:09:22.000 He's not.
01:09:23.000 Okay, that is exactly right.
01:09:25.000 Okay, so a couple more clips of Trump here.
01:09:26.000 So, Trump 15.
01:09:28.000 He points out, I mean, this is such a gaping hole for the Democrats.
01:09:32.000 They went through their entire convention without mentioning rioting and looting and violence in America's cities once, because these are all Democratic cities.
01:09:38.000 They are all Democratic cities.
01:09:39.000 Here is Trump bringing this up.
01:09:41.000 Very awkward stuff for the Democrats, so they're focusing in on Ivanka Trump's son's Lego set.
01:09:46.000 During their convention, Joe Biden and his supporters remained completely silent about the rioters and criminals spreading mayhem in Democrat-run cities.
01:09:58.000 They never even mentioned it during their entire convention.
01:10:02.000 Never once mentioned.
01:10:04.000 Now they're starting to mention it because their poll numbers are going down like a rock in water.
01:10:09.000 It's too late, Joe.
01:10:11.000 In the face of left-wing anarchy and mayhem in Minneapolis, Chicago, and other cities.
01:10:18.000 Joe Biden's campaign did not condemn it.
01:10:21.000 They donated to it.
01:10:24.000 At least 13 members of Joe Biden's campaign staff donated to a fund to bail out vandals, arsonists, anarchists, looters and rioters from jail.
01:10:35.000 Actually correct.
01:10:36.000 That is technically correct.
01:10:38.000 OK, and this is sort of his final and best line.
01:10:40.000 Trump said, listen, if the Democrats want to stand with these people, they can, but I'm not going to.
01:10:46.000 If the Democrat Party wants to stand with anarchists, agitators, rioters, looters, and flag burners, that is up to them.
01:10:56.000 But I, as your president, will not be a part of it.
01:11:00.000 The Republican Party will remain the voice of the patriotic heroes who keep America safe and salute the American flag.
01:11:10.000 If he stays on this message, he's gonna win.
01:11:11.000 If he gets off this message, he's gonna lose.
01:11:13.000 It's really that simple.
01:11:14.000 Okay, the convention concluded with this big fireworks show.
01:11:16.000 So Biden did this kind of tiny little fireworks show in Delaware.
01:11:19.000 And Trump, everything is bigger and better and glitzier and ritzier.
01:11:23.000 So he did this big fireworks show around the Washington Monument, and the fireworks actually spelled out Trump 2020, which is really drumpy.
01:11:31.000 I mean, that is super drumpy.
01:11:32.000 Just a big giant gold T appearing in the sky.
01:11:36.000 This also prompted, there were pictures last night of the rioters and the protesters who are standing there flipping off the fireworks, because fireworks are also systemically racist.
01:11:43.000 Alrighty, well, you now have your contrast.
01:11:45.000 So now, you get to decide, which America do you want?
01:11:48.000 And we'll see whether Trump can maintain that message going forward.
01:11:50.000 Okay, we'll be back here later today with two additional hours of content.
01:11:53.000 Also, tonight we're doing a backstage, so we'll be discussing everything RNC and riot related, so stick around for that.

01:12:27.000 You know, the Matt Wall Show, it's not just another show about politics.
01:12:30.000 I think there are enough of those already out there.
01:12:32.000 We talk about culture, because culture drives politics, and it drives everything else.
01:12:37.000 So my main focuses are life, family, faith.
01:12:42.000 Those are fundamental, and that's what this show is about.
