00:02:19.000 All right, everybody, welcome to the Charlie Kirk Show.
00:02:21.000 Andrew Colvett in for the one and only Charlie Kirk who's on assignment today.
00:02:25.000 We'll leave it at that for the time being.
00:02:27.000 Nevertheless, lots going on.
00:02:29.000 Always very, very much a privilege for me to be with all of you because there is so much breaking news.
00:02:36.000 In the era of Trump, we are now on Trump time.
00:02:39.000 Everything is coming at us at an absolute breakneck speed.
00:02:46.000 The blizzard of Trump actions is continuing into the second week.
00:02:51.000 It's really hard to keep up.
00:02:52.000 Now, that's partly by design, right?
00:02:56.000 Our enemies, our opponents, the lefties, the NPCs on the left, they're having a hard time keeping up and keeping track of everything to be outraged by.
00:03:08.000 And, you know, candidly, so are we and so are probably all of you out in that audience.
00:03:13.000 I think it's safe to say this is basically the first time the American people have ever seen the executive branch and the leaders of this country run the government almost like a tech startup.
00:03:25.000 You know, they move fast and break things on purpose because what has been built and constructed at the federal level especially are things worth breaking.
00:03:37.000 Now, if you check the headlines, It seems like the regime is most upset right now about all the freezes.
00:03:47.000 Freezes in hiring.
00:03:48.000 Freezes on federal grants.
00:03:50.000 Freezes on aid and loans and foreign grants.
00:03:55.000 Now, all of those things are good.
00:03:58.000 There's freezes on visas.
00:04:01.000 There's freezes on reentry.
00:04:03.000 The border is completely frozen.
00:04:06.000 And it is difficult to keep pace and to keep up.
00:04:10.000 So what is going on right now?
00:04:12.000 What is happening?
00:04:14.000 And by the way, there's going to be the first Caroline Levitt-led press briefing today at the White House, which is another very exciting thing.
00:04:24.000 So we're going to take that live.
00:04:26.000 We're actually going to be talking to Brian Glenn in the next segment.
00:04:29.000 He's going to be live from Pebble Beach, as they call it, inside the White House compound.
00:04:35.000 So what is going on?
00:04:37.000 Let's try and keep track here.
00:04:39.000 We've got CNN headline, all federal grants and loan disbursement paused by White House.
00:04:46.000 Now this one seems to have them very much in a tizzy.
00:04:51.000 So reading from CNN, which is regime controlled media, it says the White House budget office has ordered a pause on all federal grants and loans according to an internal memorandum sent Monday, potentially impacting trillions.
00:05:05.000 Yes, trillions with a T. So we don't even have Russ vote in yet at OMB, and the acting OMB director is already putting out this memoranda.
00:05:32.000 The memo specifies that the pause will not affect Social Security or Medicare benefits and does not include assistance provided directly to individuals.
00:05:40.000 Nevertheless, this is Trump bad.
00:05:44.000 Trump hates people.
00:05:45.000 Trump's going to cause people to not be able to eat.
00:05:47.000 That's false.
00:05:49.000 It's a temporary review, and it will provide the administration time to review agency programs and determine the best uses of the funding for those programs consistent with the law and the president's priorities.
00:06:02.000 So, the other thing that we have to look into is that this memoranda also says that it is in line with the executive orders last week.
00:06:09.000 What were the executive orders about last week?
00:06:12.000 This will be implicating DEI, woke gender ideology, and the Green New Deal, and foreign aid and non-governmental organizations.
00:06:23.000 Now, let's pause there.
00:06:25.000 Non-governmental organizations.
00:06:26.000 This would be like Catholic Charities that's trying to help...
00:06:30.000 Illegals game our immigration system and a lot of other NGOs that are doing that.
00:06:35.000 By the way, these NGOs, folks, they go by the name of refugee resettlement, that this is such a good thing.
00:06:43.000 They often quote scripture to completely game our immigration system and make money while doing it.
00:06:51.000 That's right.
00:06:52.000 So what they do is they charge maybe 20%, 30%, 40% profit to the government.
00:06:59.000 To resettle refugees from places like Afghanistan and the Middle East, which Joe Biden put a prioritization on, to bring them here into your community, into your homes and your parks, and these NGOs get paid to do it.
00:07:16.000 That's right.
00:07:17.000 So we're putting a pause on all of these things so that they can be reviewed and the president's priorities can be ensured that they're taking place.
00:07:28.000 Now, the other big news story is that Kristi Noem was photographed in New York City doing raids on gang members.
00:07:35.000 They got a kingpin of Trende Aragua up in New York City.
00:07:41.000 She's fully kitted out.
00:07:42.000 Now, some people don't like that.
00:07:44.000 Some people think it's, you know, like Princess Warrior stuff.
00:07:47.000 I get that.
00:07:48.000 I get the pushback.
00:07:50.000 You know, the whole girl boss movement is a little cringe, but...
00:07:53.000 Here's my pushback to the pushback.
00:07:55.000 It's great to see institutional prioritization at the top level of our government, including Kristi Noem, getting into the field showing that we mean business.
00:08:06.000 So I'm all for it.
00:08:08.000 I'm all for it.
00:08:09.000 Go into the field, show the world that we mean business and we're not playing around anymore.
00:08:16.000 Meanwhile, we've got border crossings.
00:08:23.000 Plummeting.
00:08:24.000 There are reporters that have been at the border for over a decade, that have been covering the story at our border for over a decade.
00:08:30.000 They've never seen numbers this low.
00:08:34.000 They keep dropping.
00:08:35.000 In fact, across all of our sectors yesterday, not one had over 200 border crossers attempt to get over the border.
00:08:45.000 We have illegals coming back from trying to cross saying, don't come.
00:08:51.000 You're not going to get through.
00:08:52.000 Everybody's getting caught.
00:08:54.000 You've got raids going on in Colorado, getting Trendy Aragua people.
00:08:58.000 You've got raids with Tom Homan in Chicago and Dr. Phil.
00:09:02.000 You've got raids going on in New York City.
00:09:05.000 And you've got people like Selena Gomez sobbing about this and then deleting it.
00:09:14.000 Let me get that clip if we can.
00:09:16.000 Ryan, what clip is that?
00:09:19.000 Sobbing about how They're attacking my people.
00:09:22.000 Now, let's make a couple things straight here.
00:09:24.000 Let's get a couple things straight.
00:09:25.000 They're not going after schools and playgrounds and all this stuff.
00:09:29.000 There's all this propaganda.
00:09:31.000 Now, we reserve the right to do that if that's where the bad guys are.
00:09:36.000 But right now, that's not what is happening.
00:09:38.000 We're going for the worst first.
00:09:41.000 We're getting murderers, rapists, pedophiles off the streets.
00:09:44.000 These are public safety issues.
00:09:47.000 These are public safety threats that we're getting off of the streets.
00:09:51.000 And we're getting them out of our country.
00:09:54.000 And people like Selena Gomez, go ahead and play Cut 91.
00:09:58.000 I think Charlie's post on this did like 11 million views so far.
00:10:02.000 Play Cut 91.
00:10:03.000 I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry.
00:10:09.000 *sniff* All my people are getting attacked.
00:10:14.000 The children.
00:10:19.000 I don't understand.
00:10:22.000 I'm so sorry.
00:10:24.000 I wish I could do something, but I can't.
00:10:27.000 I don't know what to do.
00:10:30.000 I'll try everything, I promise.
00:10:36.000 So, we're not going to be cowed by tears anymore.
00:10:41.000 Hollywood celebrities, AOC, crying on the border as we make our cities safer.
00:10:48.000 As we make our communities safer, as we remove actual murderers and rapists from the communities of this country, we are not going to be cowed by crying celebrities anymore.
00:10:59.000 Where were your tears for Lake and Riley?
00:11:01.000 Where were they for Jocelyn Nungari?
00:11:03.000 Where were they for Rachel Morin?
00:11:05.000 Where were they for the 100,000 Americans that die every year from fentanyl poisoning?
00:11:09.000 I don't think so.
00:11:11.000 We're going to secure our border.
00:11:12.000 We're going to deport illegals.
00:11:14.000 The mission is going forward.
00:11:18.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here.

00:12:19.000 Breaking news.
00:12:22.000 I'm allowed to disclose Charlie's.
00:12:24.000 Actually traveling with the vice president today.
00:12:27.000 He's with J.D. Vance, who is an American hero.
00:12:30.000 Already can't wait to see all the things that J.D. accomplishes in his time serving this great country.
00:12:36.000 Right now I am joined by Brian Glenn, White House correspondent for Real America's Voice.
00:12:42.000 Brian, we have our first White House press briefing today with the new White House press secretary, Caroline Levitt.
00:12:50.000 Fill us in.
00:12:51.000 What's the mood like there?
00:12:52.000 What are the changes we can expect to see?
00:12:54.000 I know the entire country, especially the political class, is going to be tuned in to this event today.
00:13:01.000 For sure.
00:13:02.000 You know, I just stepped...
00:13:04.000 Outside to do this hit with you, but I can tell you one thing.
00:13:08.000 The crowd is growing inside that press room as it has been all morning.
00:13:13.000 It seems like there is an elevated buzz around this press conference.
00:13:17.000 Obviously, this is the first time we've had a press conference.
00:13:21.000 We've seen Caroline Leavitt in this capacity in this official briefing room.
00:13:26.000 And you know what?
00:13:27.000 There's new media outlets out here that I've never seen before around the White House.
00:13:33.000 So there is certainly a...
00:13:34.000 A buzz in the air, Andrew, and I can expect this thing also to be filled with a ton of questions.
00:13:41.000 As you would imagine, a lot of the media here, they want to kind of be able to scrutinize a lot what President Trump has done this first, I guess, two weeks of his administration.
00:13:50.000 But I will say this, though, a little of an addition that I've not seen in there before.
00:13:54.000 They do have these two video screens on either side of where Levitt will be standing.
00:13:59.000 Perhaps I'll use that as kind of a slideshow or maybe something to be able to play some video to back up some of the statements and kind of recap what has happened the last day 10 or whatever day we're on at this point.
00:14:12.000 It's been going so fast, as we know.
00:14:14.000 But that's kind of some additional changes that I've noticed inside.
00:14:17.000 But as soon as we're done here, we're going to move inside and be in ready position for this press conference schedule to start at 1 o'clock.
00:14:24.000 So Brian, a lot has been made about the seating arrangement that we can expect, right?
00:14:29.000 I mean, in years past...
00:14:31.000 We've seen New York Times, what we like to call the regime media, the legacy media outlets seated right up front.
00:14:37.000 There's been a lot of news made about who Karine Jean-Pierre would call on, who she would not.
00:14:44.000 Do you have any insight yet about how the seating arrangement is going to be?
00:14:48.000 Our outlets like Real America's Voice, Turning Point USA, we have our own White House correspondent as well in there.
00:14:54.000 Do you have any insight on that yet?
00:14:57.000 I don't.
00:14:58.000 I will say this.
00:14:59.000 I think it is business as usual as far as seating goes for this particular press conference.
00:15:05.000 Now, as we move forward, I don't know what that would look like.
00:15:09.000 I could imagine after this first initial conference that the seating charts, the seating arrangement, the assignments will be scrambled up a little different, putting a little bit more of maybe your conservative-based media towards the front, or maybe I should say the ones that are fair and unbalanced, right, up in front.
00:15:29.000 But to your point, I have not heard any changes for this one, but I can expect that is going to be revised.
00:15:39.000 We're moving forward because this is very much a different administration, as we know.
00:15:44.000 I mean, it seems like forever that the previous press secretary really protected Joe Biden from any type of official scrutiny of anything that he did.
00:15:54.000 And, of course, they will use this pulpit today, if you will, to absolutely unleash on President Trump a lot of things like immigration, Andrew.
00:16:02.000 It's been highly criticized across most of the mainstream media.
00:16:08.000 I would expect a fair amount of questions on that subject today, but I do expect some other documentation.
00:16:16.000 I mean, using these video screens, Andrew, is a great idea because instead of turning to the...
00:16:23.000 To the book, the binder, I guess, that would have all these answers.
00:16:27.000 Why not just show a video?
00:16:29.000 Why not show just a PowerPoint presentation, if you will, about what this last few days have been in terms of the accomplishments, the executive orders, some of the changes that have happened within our government, within our military, these Senate confirmation hearings.
00:16:46.000 All the stuff can be displayed on these monitors, and I think it gives a great visual to this whole press.
00:16:53.000 I agree.
00:16:54.000 I think we need to be more creative in government.
00:16:56.000 I think this administration is proving how creative you can be and not being fired by the way things have been.
00:17:04.000 So last question here, Brian.
00:17:06.000 I know you've got to get back there and prep for this briefing.
00:17:09.000 30 seconds.
00:17:10.000 Give me a sense of how the resistance media, as I like to call them, the tone, the vibe shift, all these things we're hearing, what are they feeling like these days?
00:17:19.000 Well, I think they sense there is some additional faces in this room that they have not seen before.
00:17:26.000 I can probably give you a better answer after this press conference of how perhaps we may be treated a little differently.
00:17:33.000 I have been warned that, you know, you've got some people that are going to try to make it tough, but I have not experienced that as of yet, Andrew.
00:17:41.000 But I will let you know.
00:17:42.000 Awesome.
00:17:42.000 Well, you keep an eye out for us, Brian, and ask some great questions.
00:17:46.000 We know you will.
00:17:47.000 Thank you, Brian Glenn.
00:17:50.000 With the stock market at record highs, are you confident your portfolio can weather the next big downturn?

00:18:52.000 I want to welcome Josh Hammer onto the show next.
00:18:55.000 He's a senior editor-at-large at Newsweek, host of The Josh Hammer Show.
00:18:59.000 Josh, welcome to The Charlie Kirk Show.
00:19:01.000 How are you doing?
00:19:02.000 Andrew, I'm doing great, my friend.
00:19:04.000 You know, it is morning in America, as a famous man once said about four and a half decades ago.
00:19:09.000 And it's really great to be back on The Charlie Kirk Show with you, my good friend, Andrew Colvin.
00:19:12.000 Yeah, absolutely.
00:19:13.000 Josh, I'm so glad to have you.
00:19:16.000 I mean, there's just so much to discuss.
00:19:18.000 But, you know, the real impetus for this was your op-ed in Newsweek.
00:19:23.000 And I thought it was a really, really fun title for an op-ed, first of all.
00:19:27.000 The Cold Civil War is over.
00:19:30.000 We won.
00:19:31.000 Now, Josh, I want you to make your argument here.
00:19:34.000 But, you know, I just want to say I'm not, you know, I'm not popping champagne just yet.
00:19:39.000 yet.
00:19:39.000 There's a lot of work to do.
00:19:40.000 But I think the premise of your article holds.
00:19:43.000 Why do you say we won the Cold Civil War?
00:19:46.000 What is the Cold Civil War?
00:19:47.000 Make your case.
00:19:48.000 Andrew, let me first say that the fact that the enemy is slayed, at least for the time being, I agree, does not necessarily mean that it will not one day, God forbid, possibly rise like a phoenix from the ashes to create more chaos and mayhem and to sow the seeds of discourse here in America. possibly rise like a phoenix from the ashes to create So while I am definitely celebrating.
00:20:08.000 I agree that we should not rest on our laurels.
00:20:11.000 It is definitely time to keep the momentum going.
00:20:13.000 But the reason that I picked this very fun title, I'm glad you agree with me, I thought it was a very fun title as well, is that what we've seen thus far in the opening week or so of this second Donald Trump administration...
00:20:26.000 It is the most transformative cultural paradigm shifting moment that I think we've seen probably in our lifetimes.
00:20:34.000 And basically in the column, Andrew, I take a step back.
00:20:37.000 Barack Obama declared war on America.
00:20:40.000 He declared war on America and instituted our modern American civil war, our cold civil, roiling cold civil war.
00:20:47.000 This happened because Barack Obama basically said that he was doing it.
00:20:50.000 He famously said in February 2008, That he sought to fundamentally transform America, and one does not seek to fundamentally transform that which he loves or seeks to conserve.
00:20:59.000 And we saw this time and time again throughout the Obama presidency, whether it came to Obamacare, the largest entitlement since Lyndon Johnson's Great Society, when it came to the issue of beating up on cops, of exacerbating racial relations, of having Eric Holder, his attorney general, use so-called disparate impact theory.
00:21:16.000 That was kind of the predecessor to Ibram X. Kennedy and anti-racism, whether it was all the foreign policy nonsense.
00:21:21.000 The Iran deal.
00:21:22.000 Barack Obama tried time and time again to declare war on the half America that he infamously called bitter clingers that Hillary Clinton in 2016 referred to as deplorables.
00:21:32.000 And that civil war was stopped for four years by the Donald Trump administration, or at least three and a half years or so, until George Floyd met Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
00:21:42.000 And we all saw what happened from there, the riots of the summer of 2020 in there.
00:21:46.000 And then we got peak woke.
00:21:48.000 The past four years prior to Donald Trump getting back in the Oval Office, the Joe Biden presidency, this is peak woke, Andrew, peak woke.
00:21:54.000 He literally chose a vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, because she was a quote-unquote woman of color.
00:21:59.000 He literally chose his one justice on the United States Supreme Court, Katanji Brown Jackson, because she is a quote-unquote woman of color.
00:22:05.000 Time and time again.
00:22:07.000 As folks like Chris Rufo have reported, they weaponized all of the various instrumentalities of the American administrative state and executive branch to implement so-called DEI, to overtly discriminate against white people, against Christians, Jews, Asians, in favor of blacks, Hispanics, and so forth there.
00:22:22.000 And just basically everything that we saw over the past four years, this was the moment that woke reached, I think, its apotheosis.
00:22:31.000 It's been slayed.
00:22:32.000 It's been slated because Donald Trump, Andrew, adopted a mentality, to go back to the Morning in America line that I was saying a few minutes ago, he adopted an old Reaganite mantra.
00:22:41.000 And what Ronald Reagan famously said when he was asked for his approach to the Cold War, and he came into power in 1980, coming off the 1970s, you had differing opinions in the 1970s, there was Henry Kissinger in detente, there was kind of the Cold War hawks back then.
00:22:55.000 Ronald Reagan famously said that his approach to the Cold War, we win.
00:22:59.000 And they lose.
00:23:00.000 People said that he was crazy, that he was a cowboy, he was a warmonger.
00:23:03.000 But that mentality, Andrew, helped win the Cold War.
00:23:06.000 I think Donald Trump has taken that exact same mentality to his second term in office.
00:23:10.000 And I'm not entirely sure what the exact moment was.
00:23:13.000 That galvanized him to adopt this Reaganite mantra?
00:23:16.000 I suspect it was probably around the time that Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and so-called special counsel Jack Smith started to incarcerate him, to prosecute him, try to throw him in jail, bankrupt him, ruin him of all his possessions, basically deprive him of his liberty and his livelihood.
00:23:28.000 Maybe it was around the time that Thomas Matthew Crooks in Butler, Pennsylvania, came within millimeters of assassinating him before a global television audience.
00:23:34.000 But at some point, at some point, Donald Trump had kind of his Clarence Thomas 1991 Anita Hill moment, where he looked at all this radicalization around.
00:23:43.000 This is enough.
00:23:45.000 I am over this.
00:23:46.000 And you know what?
00:23:47.000 To quote Barack Obama, Get me my freaking pen.
00:23:50.000 Get me my freaking phone because this crap ain't going to fly anymore come day one.
00:23:54.000 And that was what we saw last week, Andrew.
00:23:56.000 We saw all these executive orders.
00:23:58.000 I mean, the DEI executive order alone, just focusing on that one executive order, and there's been so many amazing ones, it's hard to know even where to start.
00:24:06.000 There's been the gender ideology, birthright citizenship.
00:24:08.000 It's amazing stuff coming out of this White House.
00:24:10.000 But just the DEI executive order, it doesn't just get rid of DEI. This is the kind of stuff that wins culture wars overnight.
00:24:37.000 So again...
00:24:38.000 Let's not rest on our laurels.
00:24:39.000 I understand, like, you know, constant vigilance, and let's keep our foot on the gas pedal and keep on plowing full speed ahead.
00:24:47.000 But for now, for now, what we have seen is the stuff of legends, frankly.
00:24:51.000 It kind of reminds me, as I said in the column, I remember when I was a kid learning about how the English took over what was then called New Amsterdam, and then they renamed it New York City from Peter Stuyvesant to the Dutch.
00:25:02.000 In the 1600s, they famously took it over without firing a single shot because it was just a pure, unmitigated demonstration of force.
00:25:10.000 And the enemy yielded at that demonstration of force.
00:25:13.000 That's very much how I view what happened over this past week.
00:25:15.000 I think that was extraordinarily well said, Josh.
00:25:19.000 And I want to believe that all of this is going to happen without a single shot.
00:25:25.000 And there's a lot of reason to believe that...
00:25:29.000 We have now become the dominant force in culture, and not just politically, which obviously we control the three branches of the government, but culturally.
00:25:38.000 Philosophically, ideologically, you can feel the momentum behind more of a traditional Americana, this triumphant Americana, this manifest destiny, whether it be Greenland or Panama or Canada, or just retaking the border.
00:25:52.000 Pete Hegg said, saying, yeah, we're going to get operational control of our southern border.
00:25:56.000 You've got ICE raids.
00:25:58.000 We are, from a PR standpoint, this administration is doing a fantastic job projecting strength to the world.
00:26:04.000 You saw this with Colombia and the little tiff.
00:26:07.000 That happened over the weekend, how quickly that was resolved, and then, and then, and then, and on and on and on it goes.
00:26:13.000 And what I find particularly instructive and encouraging, Josh, is the polling.
00:26:20.000 You've got Harry Enten at CNN going on in front of Casey Hunt or whatever the host is going like, hey, these numbers are extraordinary.
00:26:28.000 And just for our audience's sake, consider this.
00:26:32.000 Donald Trump is the only...
00:26:34.000 President in the history of the country that has a higher approval rating at the start of his second term than he ever did in his first term.
00:26:41.000 A majority of all Americans support deportation of all, not some, not the worst first, which obviously Tom Homan, budget constraints, manpower constraint is starting with the worst first, but a majority, a clear majority across like five different polls say that Americans support deporting.
00:27:01.000 All illegals.
00:27:02.000 This is a phenomenal, phenomenal showing.
00:27:05.000 And it shows, Josh, that the main street America, average America, is seeing the changes already.
00:27:12.000 They're seeing the momentum shift.
00:27:14.000 And American malaise is out.
00:27:16.000 America's self-constraint is out.
00:27:19.000 And so I do want to be really, really encouraged by this.
00:27:22.000 There's a part of me that just, you know, I think can't get over the trauma of 2020 or 2022 and won't quite believe it.
00:27:29.000 But Josh, Do you think this has staying power?
00:27:32.000 Do you think we are at the beginning of an 8-12 year run?
00:27:36.000 I do.
00:27:37.000 I absolutely do.
00:27:39.000 I think that J.D. Vance as vice president of the United States is kind of the natural heir to the throne.
00:27:43.000 And we'll obviously have that debate, I presume, in the year 2028. But God willing, the next four years will go well.
00:27:48.000 And J.D., who is literally only 40 years old, is kind of the logical successor there.
00:27:53.000 And that's part of the reasons that Donald Trump tapped J.D. Vance in the first place, right?
00:27:56.000 Because he's making a long-term play here.
00:27:58.000 I mean, look at his cabinet picks.
00:28:00.000 I mean, you mentioned Pete Hegseth.
00:28:01.000 Pete Hegseth is, what, 44, 45 years old?
00:28:03.000 I mean, so many of these cabinet picks are very, very young people.
00:28:06.000 This is a movement, Andrew.
00:28:08.000 And what's so fascinating is that MAGA, America First, just being on the right of center right now in America, more generally speaking, this is cool.
00:28:18.000 I mean, this is kind of the anti-establishment mentality, the same way that Barack Obama was considered irreverent.
00:28:23.000 And back in the 1960s, all the quote-unquote self-professed cool kids were burning down college canvases, the Vietnam War, all that stuff.
00:28:30.000 MAGA is basically that today.
00:28:32.000 I mean, this is kind of the middle finger to the establishment.
00:28:34.000 The Democratic Party is a rotting carcass.
00:28:36.000 It is filled with octogenarians, septuagenarians, people who are literally two to three decades past their prime.
00:28:42.000 Joe Biden is obviously a perfect encapsulation of that there.
00:28:45.000 And the Republican Party is filled with young, up-and-coming people who have an inherent love of their country there.
00:28:50.000 And that's being reflected in the popular culture.
00:28:52.000 Look at all the people in these NFL playoffs and the college football playoffs who are doing the Trump dance in the end zone after getting a touchdown.
00:28:58.000 Carrie Underwood going acapella at the inaugural address there.
00:29:01.000 Just so many cultural moments.
00:29:03.000 And these big tech oligarchs, I mean, just on and on.
00:29:06.000 And I completely agree.
00:29:08.000 There was that New York Magazine piece that just came out talking about all the young energy around the inauguration.
00:29:14.000 They tried to make it look racist, but that is cool, guys.
00:29:18.000 Enjoy it.
00:29:21.000 Making America Great Again starts with making America healthy again.
00:29:25.000 Charlie Kirk here.
00:29:26.000 I lost 40 pounds with the PhD weight loss and nutrition program.
00:29:29.000 And two years later, I haven't gained a pound back.
00:29:32.000 I started the PhD weight loss program because I need to be healthy to keep up with my crazy schedule.
00:29:37.000 Most people start a weight loss program to get healthier.
00:29:40.000 So why is Big Pharma spending millions to convince you to use their weight loss injections that do just the opposite?
00:29:47.000 They have harmful side effects and lifelong dependency.
00:29:50.000 Take a natural approach that isn't connected to a Big Pharma bottom line.
00:29:55.000 PHD changes the way you think about food.
00:29:57.000 They custom design a plan that is simple and works with your schedule.
00:30:01.000 You'll learn to quiet cravings and finally release the unhealthy belly fat.
00:30:06.000 You won't be hungry and you'll never take medication.
00:30:08.000 Call 864-644-1900 to schedule your one-on-one consultation or visit myphdweightloss.com.
00:30:17.000 That is myphdweightloss.com, 864-644-1900.
00:30:21.000 This is breaking news, Charlie.
00:30:25.000 Charlie's just sitting next to J.D. Vance there on Air Force Two.
00:30:29.000 Just casually plotting the future blizzard of other executive orders and actions that will take this country back.
00:30:39.000 Our movement is ascendant, folks.
00:30:42.000 The conversation that we were having with Josh, we're going to bring him back when we have Radio Rejoin in just a second.
00:30:48.000 There is so much positive momentum happening right now, and it is impossible to separate the movement that Trump has sparked, the ascendancy of it, Without also including this entirely new generation of young guns like Charlie Kirk, like James Blair, like Sergio Gore, like J.D. Vance, Stephen Miller.
00:31:10.000 There's almost too many to name.
00:31:12.000 Taylor Budowich.
00:31:12.000 There's so many within this administration that are staffing it from top to bottom.
00:31:17.000 Obviously, Charlie's not staffing it, but he's, you know, within the larger movement on this show and this audience.
00:31:23.000 The amount of transformational change that is possible with this new, young, vibrant core of leadership that is assuming control, both from a media standpoint and an actual power standpoint, the reins of actual power, it's impossible to fully comprehend or appreciate at this juncture.
00:31:42.000 History will write about these days.
00:31:45.000 History will write about these leaders and they will transform America back to the founders' intent.
00:31:51.000 Not to create some corrupt, muddled Frankenstein that the founders wouldn't even recognize, but they will restore the Americanism, the dynamism of our people in the truest sense of the word.
00:32:06.000 These are extraordinary days that we live in.
00:32:08.000 These are extraordinary times.
00:32:09.000 Josh, I wanna throw this image up This is from the New York Magazine.
00:32:14.000 It's kind of personal for me, actually.
00:32:16.000 Throw up 94. Image 94. The Cruel Kids Table is the way the headline reads.
00:32:22.000 This is a cover piece for New York Magazine by Brock Collier, who is a trans journalist from the New York Magazine.
00:32:31.000 I know this because Brock also applied for press credentials at the Turning Point Ball, our inaugural eve ball, and was there on the red carpet.
00:32:42.000 There's pictures of our ball in this story.
00:32:45.000 But, you know, the pushback is hilarious about this piece, but I think it's an interesting...
00:32:49.000 Even the journalist in this piece, Josh, admits that we're winning, that we are culturally ascendant, that we are now dominating...
00:32:58.000 Realms of culture that would have been hard to fathom just a few years ago.
00:33:03.000 And I believe that they've cropped this picture to make it look more racist, like it's only white kids or something.
00:33:10.000 There's a whole bunch of that going on here.
00:33:13.000 But it's like, Josh, take this picture as just one instance.
00:33:16.000 It's a bunch of young, successful, happy kids drinking a...
00:33:19.000 You know, at a trendy cocktail party.
00:33:22.000 You know, I guess if that's, like, cruel, celebrating the dawn of a new administration, a new America, you know, I guess, you know, cry harder, Libs, is my, you know, instant reaction.
00:33:33.000 What do you make of this?
00:33:34.000 And what does this tell us?
00:33:36.000 Well, first of all, Andrew, I'm pretty sure they did do exactly that which you said they did, which is that they cropped out this photo, they edited it, they photoshopped it to make it look just more monolithically white than it is there.
00:33:48.000 But, you know, I think a normal American looks at this photo, whether it's been photoshopped or cropped or edited or not, and says, oh, wow, these are a bunch of, like, pretty...
00:33:58.000 Good-looking young people having a great time.
00:34:00.000 They're dressed nicely there.
00:34:01.000 They're clanking their glasses.
00:34:03.000 They're saying cheers there.
00:34:04.000 I'm sorry.
00:34:04.000 I'm not seeing anything wrong with this picture, Andrew.
00:34:07.000 I'm simply just not seeing anything.
00:34:08.000 And I think what kind of the broader point is getting at here, this is a point that I've made actually for a few years now.
00:34:15.000 I think this is part of the left's war on fun.
00:34:18.000 I actually literally call it the war on fun.
00:34:20.000 You know, whether it's trying to call you a scold for driving in a gas-guzzling pickup truck or an SUV, whether they're calling you a bad person for wanting to have numerous kids, you know, that whole be fruitful and multiply thing right there from the book of Genesis.
00:34:33.000 God forbid you actually take God at his word and have three, four, five, you know, God knows how many children who are going to consume oxygen and spit out carbon dioxide.
00:34:42.000 You know, you're very, very bad.
00:34:44.000 They definitely hate that, Andrew.
00:34:47.000 God forbid you actually teach your children about religion, about the Bible, about the things that actually built this country, about the founding fathers, about the Constitutional Convention.
00:34:56.000 You can't have any of that either there.
00:34:57.000 I mean, the left has become just these pearl-clutching bunch of overtly faux-moralistic prima donnas.
00:35:04.000 That's basically what they become there.
00:35:06.000 And they hate looking at anyone.
00:35:08.000 Who is more successful than them?
00:35:10.000 That obviously gets back to kind of the roots of socialism and Marxism is this whole idea of envy and class envy and individual envy.
00:35:16.000 That's definitely part of this as well there.
00:35:18.000 But they're just fundamentally just a bunch of just ragtag.
00:35:22.000 And frankly, Andrew, if I'm just being very blunt for a second here, you know, I was looking at this rally on the eve of the inauguration, the left-wing rally there with kind of those pink hats, whatever, the women's march stuff there on the National Mall.
00:35:33.000 A bunch of ugly people.
00:35:34.000 I mean, I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying that there, but, like, these are just typically, obviously, they're exceptions, but a bunch of, like, very ugly people, honestly.
00:35:41.000 Josh, I mean, think about it, you know, and I think Matt Walsh made this point on Twitter.
00:35:45.000 We like Matt a lot, and he had a great role to play in, you know, just his film and so many other things.
00:35:53.000 But what reads his left wing now, besides, like, a bunch of purple-haired, you know, nose-piercing, you know, Many obese or at least overweight young people screaming about some injustice that they've invented in a college laboratory.
00:36:10.000 I mean, literally, if young kids having fun, if young kids, you know, wearing a flannel in the country, you know, listening to country music, whatever, I mean, we are the fun movement.
00:36:22.000 And it's a very fascinating point, Josh, and I'll throw it back to you for 30 seconds to react.
00:36:27.000 You know, It seemed like in 2008, this cultural ascendancy of the left promised all of these things, but failed to deliver.
00:36:33.000 Instead, it delivered this dystopian, puritanical scolding from the left about these invented injustices.
00:36:43.000 And this movement, I believe, can actually deliver on the promise of lifting everybody and having fun.
00:36:50.000 Final reaction, Josh Hammer.
00:36:52.000 Well, you're totally right to take it back to 2008. I mean, that's where I started my cold civil wars over op-ed, too, because it does go back to Barack Obama and his 2008 campaign.
00:37:01.000 Andrew, if the left is going to have any chance of recovering, and thank God it's not my problem.
00:37:05.000 I'm a man of the right, obviously.
00:37:06.000 But if the left is going to have any chance of recovering here, Andrew, they have to disavow the entirety of the Barack Obama legacy and his post-presidential legacy.
00:37:14.000 They need to go back to the old Democratic Party of Bill Clinton and his predecessors who, whatever their flaws were, they were focused on bread and butter issues.
00:37:21.000 He's not this woke brat.
00:37:23.000 I agree.
00:37:23.000 Josh Hammer, good man.
00:37:25.000 Follow him.
00:37:26.000 Follow his stuff.
00:37:27.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:37:29.000 Talk to you soon.
