Summary

After watching the results of the mid-term election, it's hard to shake the feeling that there's an American renaissance on the horizon. President Trump's victory was a complete rejection of the entire Democratic Party platform, and a realignment that puts the American people back in the driver's seat of the nation that we own. The American people are in charge, not we the plutocrats, not the bureaucrats. We own this country, we own the people, and we are the people. It's we the people who gave us the mandate, and the mandate gave the President, and all of us gave the president and gave his entire team a mandate. We don't get marching orders, marching orders. 00:01:12.000 It has not even been a week, everybody, from the most game-changing realignment election of a lifetime.
00:01:22.000 The more that we pour over the numbers of what happened last week, it still has not set in.
00:01:27.000 Do you guys agree?
00:01:28.000 Do you guys agree that it just has not set in?
00:01:30.000 It's just, there is almost a feeling of an American renaissance.
00:01:35.000 I don't want to share too many details.
00:01:37.000 In fact, I will not.
00:01:39.000 But spending the weekend in and around Mar-a-Lago seeing the president, I have never been more hopeful for what this transition will deliver.
00:01:49.000 The transition team is so focused, from Stephen Miller to Howard Lutnick, the whole team.
00:01:57.000 They're doing a phenomenal job, from what I've been able to see, to fulfill the president's agenda.
00:02:03.000 In every conversation that I've been able to witness or I've been able to hear, it's, but do they believe what we believe?
00:02:10.000 It's not, did they work for John McCain?
00:02:14.000 It's not, do they have a nice biography?
00:02:16.000 None of that matters.
00:02:18.000 It is a completely different transition than what I was able to witness back in 2016 and 2017.
00:02:25.000 That should give you a lot of encouragement, everybody.
00:02:29.000 That there is this pace, this focus about fulfilling what the American people gave us.
00:02:37.000 And what did the American people give us?
00:02:38.000 Well, first and foremost, they rejected the entire mantra of the Democrat Party out of the gate.
00:02:46.000 They rejected it.
00:02:47.000 They rejected what the Democrat Party believes, who the Democrat Party is, and they did a complete repudiation.
00:02:57.000 But also...
00:03:00.000 This is a realignment that puts the American people back in charge, that puts the American people back in the driver's seat of the nation that we own.
00:03:11.000 We own this country.
00:03:13.000 The American people are in charge.
00:03:15.000 It's we the people, not we the plutocrats, not we the bureaucrats.
00:03:18.000 It is we the people.
00:03:21.000 You see, the Democrat Party bet big that a small subset of issues that are hyper-emotional and very divisive We're going to determine the 2024 election.
00:03:31.000 Instead, we have been praying and working for a constitutional reset, and we received a constitutional reset.
00:03:39.000 And I want to just say again, for all of you that worked and chased ballots, that registered voters, for all of you, you guys did it!
00:03:47.000 You know, the funny joke is, people say, Charlie, I can watch the news again, which is very good for our program, mind you.
00:03:54.000 Left-wing programs and networks and YouTube channels are going down significantly, understandably.
00:04:00.000 Democrats really thought Kamala Harris was going to win.
00:04:03.000 I still thought it was 50-50, and you go through these numbers, by the way, it was far closer than some people realize.
00:04:10.000 In Wisconsin, for example, or Michigan, Pennsylvania ended up being quite decisive, thanks to the work, obviously, of President Trump and Elon Musk.
00:04:20.000 Fulfilling the mandate is going to be The new ethos of this program.
00:04:24.000 From now until high noon on January 20th, when President Donald Trump says, so help me God, and lifts his hand off the King James Bible, this program will be primarily focused on fulfilling the mandate.
00:04:37.000 You, the American people, gave the president and gave his entire team, gave all of us, marching orders.
00:04:46.000 We don't get to decide what happens.
00:04:48.000 You told us that you want your borders closed, you want business as usual to change, that you want no men in women's sports.
00:04:57.000 And keeping the feet to the fire is incredibly important on this.
00:05:01.000 But I have to say, being at least witnessing some conversations and being part of some, I was so encouraged that at least a week in, This is not the good old boys network that is rolling in.
00:05:17.000 And let's look at just some of the picks that President Trump has made.
00:05:20.000 Now, mind you, the Elise Stefanik pick is not confirmed.
00:05:22.000 It is not confirmed.
00:05:23.000 So that is, if you have not seen it on President Trump's Truth Social, it is not confirmed.
00:05:29.000 Okay?
00:05:31.000 However, Susie Wiles, amazing.
00:05:33.000 She earned it.
00:05:33.000 And then the one that is confirmed, Tom Homan, the beast, the man.
00:05:40.000 Officially, the border czar.
00:05:41.000 This is how important the border is to President Trump.
00:05:44.000 Fulfilling the mandate.
00:05:45.000 Former ICE director.
00:05:46.000 I do a chief of staff number one and a border czar number two.
00:05:50.000 That's pretty important, everybody.
00:05:52.000 Think about that.
00:05:53.000 Chief of staff, border czar.
00:05:55.000 Right out of the gate.
00:05:57.000 President Trump is obsessed with making sure that he does what the American people voted for.
00:06:03.000 Telegraphing priorities.
00:06:05.000 You know caravans are already starting to break up and go back to their home countries?
00:06:09.000 Caravans are already starting to say, you know, we've had enough.
00:06:13.000 This is Tom Homan.
00:06:15.000 Let's begin with his dialogue with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
00:06:20.000 Play cut 336.
00:06:22.000 And so the recommendation of the many that you recommended, you recommended family separation.
00:06:28.000 I recommended zero tolerance.
00:06:30.000 Which includes family separation.
00:06:32.000 The same as it is when every U.S. citizen parent gets arrested when they're with a child.
00:06:40.000 Zero tolerance was interpreted as the policy that separated children from their parents.
00:06:44.000 If I get arrested for DUI and I have a young child in a car, I'm going to be separated.
00:06:49.000 When I was a police officer in New York and I arrested a father for domestic violence, I separated that father from his family.
00:06:54.000 Mr.
00:06:54.000 Holman, with all due respect, legal asylees are not charged with any crime.
00:07:01.000 When you're in the country illegally, it's a violation of the United States Code 1325.
00:07:06.000 Seeking asylum is legal.
00:07:08.000 If you want to seek asylum and go to the port of entry, do it the legal way.
00:07:11.000 Do it the legal way.
00:07:14.000 Tom Homan is a wrecking ball into this open border scam that we are living through.
00:07:20.000 This is a major power play.
00:07:23.000 By President Trump saying, no, I'm not going to be manipulated by you.
00:07:26.000 A spine of steel.
00:07:28.000 So number one is chief of staff.
00:07:30.000 And before even all the deputy positions are filled, before a national security advisor.
00:07:35.000 I want you to know how rare this is.
00:07:37.000 Typically, the standard operating procedure is chief of staff, the deputies, the clerks, and then you go into all the national security positions.
00:07:45.000 But guess what?
00:07:46.000 The border is a national security position.
00:07:48.000 Our open border being invaded every day.
00:07:50.000 We are being invaded by a foreign nation, the Mexican drug cartels, which will hopefully, God willing, soon be reclassified as a terrorist organization.
00:07:57.000 And President Trump turns with his transition.
00:08:02.000 Number one, chief of staff, which of course you need to do.
00:08:05.000 You need to make sure the air traffic control has some sort of regular order.
00:08:09.000 And then boom.
00:08:11.000 Number two, straight out of the gate, We've never seen this in American history.
00:08:17.000 In the final weeks of the campaign, President Trump kept repeating the border is his number one priority.
00:08:23.000 And this is a clear message to D.C. We're going to get this thing solved.
00:08:26.000 I've never been more hopeful, even in the four years of the first presidency of Trump, that we are going to have a sealed and closed border.
00:08:33.000 And you know who that's good for?
00:08:34.000 It's good for the young girls that are being sex trafficked from the southern countries.
00:08:37.000 Good for all the kids that are dying from fentanyl.
00:08:39.000 It's good for the people that have seen their wages undercut.
00:08:41.000 Good for the people that have seen their communities overrun by illegals and foreigners.
00:08:45.000 Tom Homan will solve this.
00:08:46.000 The guy's a beast.
00:08:48.000 He's as good as it gets.
00:08:49.000 Play cut 335 of him on 60 minutes.
00:08:53.000 Is there a way to carry out mass deportation without separating families?
00:08:58.000 Of course there is.
00:09:01.000 Families can be deported together.
00:09:04.000 It's as good as it gets.
00:09:05.000 By the way, he served under Obama.
00:09:08.000 This guy understands the issue at the border.
00:09:10.000 He's going to be the field marshal.
00:09:12.000 Think of this guy as the General Patton of the United States southern border.
00:09:16.000 That's right.
00:09:17.000 He is going to be the guy that calls the shots.
00:09:20.000 And I think a military analogy is exactly appropriate, given the fact that we are being invaded as a nation.
00:09:27.000 And we need that kind of lead, follow, or get out of the way mindset that George Patton would give.
00:09:33.000 Tom Homan, the George Patton of the southern border.
00:09:36.000 He's been there.
00:09:37.000 He knows every detail.
00:09:39.000 He knows everything a border agent can do and can't do.
00:09:42.000 He knows how to work with all the inter-agencies.
00:09:44.000 And he is an ice-cold I was going to say something else, but I'm not going to say it.
00:09:50.000 He's as good as it gets.
00:09:53.000 The last couple of years have been very tough on people economically.
00:09:57.000 A lot of good folks have gotten into horrible debt just to survive.
00:10:00.000 Some of you are paying 20-30% on your credit card debt and drowning in those monthly bills.
00:10:05.000 If you own your own home, did you know that refinancing that home can help get you help right now?
00:10:10.000 I can hear it now, but Charlie, I have a 3.5% rate and I can't refi.
00:10:15.000 Don't be a slave to the rate.
00:10:17.000 Talk to my good friends Andrew Del Rey and Todd Avakian.
00:10:19.000 Let them crunch the numbers for you and show you.
00:10:21.000 I've used them.
00:10:22.000 They're amazing.
00:10:23.000 I can't say enough good stuff about them.
00:10:24.000 You can consolidate and pay off all your debt, lower your payments, save thousands in interest, and possibly even pay your home off sooner.
00:10:32.000 Go to andrewandtodd.com.
00:10:34.000 That's andrewandtodd.com.
00:10:35.000 Fill out their form and they'll give you a call and you can review the math together and see if it works for you.
00:10:40.000 Get relief at andrewandtodd.com today.
00:10:45.000 Look, we're taking back the country, and you guys did it.
00:10:48.000 It has not even been a week, and you now have a border czar.
00:10:52.000 And by the way, the good news is just going to start flowing, everybody.
00:10:55.000 It's just going to start flowing.
00:10:57.000 And from what I've been able to see from the meetings with Howard Lutnick, who is the chair of the transition, he keeps on asking, hold on.
00:11:06.000 Are you going to fulfill the mandate?
00:11:07.000 Are you going to do what the president wants?
00:11:10.000 There's this repeated theme, which is just so refreshing to witness.
00:11:14.000 Again, in my small little pieces here or there, you know, went to dinner, nothing too serious.
00:11:19.000 And I want to get deep into the Senate leadership stuff, but I want to hold on that for a second.
00:11:24.000 The Senate leadership thing is so incredibly important because it is a question of whether or not President Trump will be able to get his agenda implemented.
00:11:30.000 But I want to make one other point here, which is, If you look at this from a God has a plan perspective, which as you know, on this program, we believe that God is sovereign and that God has a plan for all of us.
00:11:43.000 If Donald Trump would have stayed in the White House uninterrupted, From 2016 to 2024, I cannot say confidently that 2020 through 2024 would have this kind of urgency.
00:11:55.000 I mean, the energy and the focus and the determination.
00:12:01.000 I mean, Susie Wiles is just doing terrific from organizing everything.
00:12:05.000 Does it fit in to what we told voters?
00:12:08.000 In fact, I saw somebody with the transition team.
00:12:11.000 They had something printed.
00:12:12.000 You know what it was?
00:12:13.000 It was all the promises that President Trump made on the campaign trail.
00:12:18.000 And he said, this is what we're focused on.
00:12:20.000 Boom, boom, boom.
00:12:21.000 There's not some sort of other agenda like when Joe Biden or Kamala Harris.
00:12:24.000 What you heard from President Trump in public is now getting executed in private.
00:12:29.000 It's getting acted upon in private.
00:12:31.000 Accountability is incredibly important.
00:12:33.000 And again, of course, I want to manage your expectations, everybody.
00:12:37.000 There'll be good picks and then there'll be picks that, you know, you scratch your head.
00:12:39.000 They're, of course, going to have to be some deal making because it's D.C. However, the direction is just going to be terrific.
00:12:45.000 It's just tremendous.
00:12:46.000 It's terrific, actually.
00:12:48.000 So the American people delivered a clear and resounding message, heard around the world, the greatest comeback story in American history.
00:12:57.000 Do we have John Carl from ABC News, by the way, this last weekend, saying that this has never happened before in American history?
00:13:02.000 I know I sent it yesterday.
00:13:04.000 It's a terrific clip.
00:13:05.000 And we can't move on, by the way.
00:13:07.000 You know, somebody said, Charlie, when do I stop celebrating?
00:13:09.000 There is no end to this.
00:13:11.000 I want to be very clear.
00:13:13.000 You are entering a golden era for America.
00:13:15.000 And yeah, look, they might try some big economic collapse thing.
00:13:18.000 They might try some sort of...
00:13:20.000 Okay, but bring it up.
00:13:21.000 We're ready for it this time.
00:13:22.000 This is a team of all-stars that has been hardened by the COVID propaganda.
00:13:27.000 I know myself, I am a better communicator, better person.
00:13:32.000 I am wiser because of what I went through through COVID. And a lot of people died.
00:13:37.000 But you look back at that and you say, you know what?
00:13:40.000 We turned something really awful Into something pretty good.
00:13:45.000 What the enemy means for evil, God will use for good.
00:13:48.000 Genesis 50, 20.
00:13:49.000 One of the last scriptures of Genesis.
00:13:51.000 And so here we are with the table set to act upon all the things the president said.
00:13:56.000 This is John Carl from ABC News.
00:13:59.000 Cut 344, please.
00:14:01.000 In just 71 days, Donald Trump will be sworn in again as President of the United States.
00:14:06.000 His comeback victory unlike anything we have ever seen in American history.
00:14:11.000 Just take a look at the final results.
00:14:13.000 With Arizona now projected for Trump, he locks in a sweeping victory in every single battleground state.
00:14:20.000 And Trump did more than that.
00:14:21.000 He made big gains with young voters and with Latinos, doing better among Hispanic voters than any Republican presidential candidate since the first exit polls were conducted in 1976.
00:14:33.000 He even did better among women than when he ran against Joe Biden.
00:14:37.000 Even did better with women.
00:14:40.000 Look, everybody, you guys did this.
00:14:43.000 Every day I said, what are you guys doing?
00:14:44.000 And honestly, the emails that we've received are breathtaking.
00:14:48.000 There is one man, and I feel really bad about this guy, because he should sue.
00:14:53.000 This one guy that drives a truck, what was his name again, Mikey?
00:14:57.000 He quit his job because his truck driving business said you can't vote.
00:15:03.000 He quit his job to go back to Arizona to go vote for President Trump.
00:15:06.000 I mean, when we say that people would crawl over broken glass, this guy quit his job.
00:15:12.000 What?
00:15:14.000 This guy's name is Randy.
00:15:15.000 I want to help Randy out any way we can.
00:15:17.000 We should help him out if he gets in a financial issue there.
00:15:21.000 That's what this movement is all about.
00:15:23.000 There's a grittiness.
00:15:24.000 There's a hustle.
00:15:24.000 There's a determination to the core of this movement.
00:15:28.000 And you guys took the country back.
00:15:30.000 And it's not as if you took the country back and all of a sudden you got a bunch of stuff, you know, that is not going in the right direction.
00:15:37.000 You voted for a secure border.
00:15:38.000 You got the best the business has to offer.
00:15:41.000 Tom Homan.
00:15:42.000 And the good news, I think, God willing, is just going to keep on coming.
00:15:45.000 But you guys need to man the battleships these next couple of months.
00:15:50.000 Because it's just beginning.
00:15:54.000 Are you worried about the future of the US economy?

00:17:00.000 Mark, you're a great American, and everybody's talking about Mark Paoletta.
00:17:04.000 They say, Mark Paoletta's got to run this and that and all that.
00:17:06.000 So it's a great honor to you, sir.
00:17:09.000 Mark, how are you doing?
00:17:10.000 And I'm sure you're thrilled about the recent victory.
00:17:12.000 Absolutely thrilled, Charlie.
00:17:14.000 And thank you for everything you did to help re-elect President Trump.
00:17:18.000 Going out to the colleges day in and day out is just phenomenal.
00:17:22.000 So thank you in terms of the people who made this happen.
00:17:25.000 You're in a very small circle.
00:17:28.000 Well, thank you.
00:17:29.000 And so we are blessed and honored to be able to play a small role.
00:17:33.000 So I want to just ask, what is the direction that you are feeling of this transition?
00:17:38.000 I don't know how involved you are, but at least from what I've seen my last couple days at Mar-a-Lago, I feel as if there is an urgency to fulfill the mandate.
00:17:47.000 Your thoughts, Mark?
00:17:48.000 Yeah, Charlie, you know, there's always silver linings, right?
00:17:50.000 2020 was just outrageous, right?
00:17:52.000 But you had a whole infrastructure, right?
00:17:56.000 The Trump movement that was sort of continued with all of these organizations being set up to push the Trump agenda.
00:18:04.000 And you had four years where they developed these ideas.
00:18:07.000 And as you said, Charlie, President Trump was out there Making promises and they're all collected up, right?
00:18:13.000 That is the first thing everyone sees, whoever's working on the transition team in whatever category is.
00:18:18.000 This is what President Trump said.
00:18:20.000 This is what we're delivering on.
00:18:21.000 It's front and center.
00:18:22.000 And so you have had, I don't think there's been anything like it.
00:18:25.000 That's why I'm so excited too.
00:18:27.000 In history, where you had a president...
00:18:30.000 You had it back with Grover Cleveland, obviously, but coming back and having this whole infrastructure to really flesh out his ideas and have people who are involved writing draft executive orders, writing all these memos and papers to support what he wants to do.
00:18:48.000 And then when we're coming in and the American people vote, this was an overwhelming, as you said, Close in some of the states.
00:18:56.000 I think you did put them over the top in Pennsylvania and other places, right, because of your work and those small margins.
00:19:02.000 But it was an overwhelming victory in the popular vote.
00:19:06.000 The American people want this agenda.
00:19:08.000 As you said at the top of the show, it's a complete rejection of the left, the Democrats' woke garbage that has destroyed this country, right?
00:19:18.000 And so this, everything that the president campaigned on, he has a mandate to implement.
00:19:23.000 And so, as you just said, Tom Holman being selected right after Susie Wiles, both tremendous selections.
00:19:29.000 But the president's showing, this is the most important thing for me, and we're going to get it done with a guy with a backbone of steel, right?
00:19:36.000 That, one, is the right thing to do, and two, the American people, I think it's a 70% approval, right, of deporting illegal aliens in this country.
00:19:45.000 And so, you know, they...
00:19:46.000 There's the mandate and there's the experience of people who have been there working with President Trump, the first administration, some battle scars, lessons learned, picking the right people.
00:19:57.000 So I think this could be one of the greatest administrations ever, you know, from the experience, commitment, focus, and all that.
00:20:06.000 I mean, and the people coming in, I'm very excited for the next four years.
00:20:10.000 I am too.
00:20:11.000 So, Mark, let's educate the audience.
00:20:13.000 There are so many positions to fill.
00:20:16.000 Let's just take one department that I care about.
00:20:19.000 I know you do.
00:20:19.000 The Department of Justice, which I think is going to be one of the most important agencies to fill and to staff.
00:20:25.000 Can you educate the audience and walk them through?
00:20:28.000 It's not just a matter of, you know, picking an attorney general or a deputy attorney general.
00:20:33.000 If you look at the flowchart, and they're all publicly available online, It's a monstrosity, Mark.
00:20:40.000 And if you get one of these wrong, you have a sleeper cell that could undermine your entire agenda.
00:20:47.000 Mark your thoughts.
00:20:49.000 I think the Department of Justice will be the tip of the spear in terms of implementing President Trump's agenda.
00:20:56.000 You know, the border, right?
00:20:59.000 Working on processing all these, you know, illegal aliens, asylum claims, and just getting them out of the country.
00:21:07.000 That's all the Department of Justice that will be working with DHS. Helping to build the wall and all the legal proceedings and the eminent domain proceedings that were shut down under President Biden, right?
00:21:18.000 So one of the things that will happen, Charlie, is that President Biden on day one and the first hundred days of his administration issued all these executive orders rescinding everything that President Trump was doing.
00:21:29.000 That all changes on day one, right?
00:21:31.000 President Trump has made it very clear.
00:21:33.000 Those are the kinds of things that the Department of Justice will be working on.
00:21:36.000 All the DEI, the woke, the transgender, the boys playing in girls' schools, all of those issues which involve the Department of Education or other agencies, the legal memos and the work that's going to support doing all those things comes out of the Department of Justice.
00:21:54.000 So what you need What the President deserves is a fully committed Department of Justice and their career employees.
00:22:03.000 You're reading these articles about how some employees are going to try and resist President Trump.
00:22:10.000 They would be subverting democracy in my view.
00:22:13.000 The American people voted on this.
00:22:16.000 The president won on a very clear agenda.
00:22:18.000 And that's the other thing.
00:22:19.000 All of these things were laid out during the campaign like nothing else for the past four years and in the past year of the campaign.
00:22:28.000 And that's what he has a right to see implemented.
00:22:32.000 DOJ across every, it's getting DEI out of the federal government, suing companies or universities that do DEI, investigating all the anti-Semitism that's going and prosecuting people for those horrific acts against people.
00:22:51.000 Looking at drug companies and all the transgender surgeries and keeping it from parents, going after parents, looking at the January 6th defendants and issuing pardons and commutations for everyone who was persecuted, prosecuted by politically inspired lawfare.
00:23:14.000 Right.
00:23:15.000 That's not just on the January 6th.
00:23:16.000 And it says other people, abortion protesters, right, who get thrown in jail for many years simply for just protesting.
00:23:24.000 So that's the agenda.
00:23:27.000 Those are the kinds of things that are going to happen at the Department of Justice.
00:23:29.000 That's why it is the tip of the spear.
00:23:31.000 So how many of those positions in DOJ, for example, are able to be Senate confirmed versus non-Senate confirmed?
00:23:39.000 Sure.
00:23:39.000 And that's very important.
00:23:40.000 I hope everyone understands this is why the Senate leadership fight is so important.
00:23:43.000 This is why we've been tweeting like madmen this last weekend.
00:23:47.000 Because understand that even if you have good...
00:23:49.000 Yeah, please, Mark.
00:23:49.000 Oh, sorry.
00:23:50.000 I think at the top, you know, there's the attorney general, deputy attorney general.
00:23:54.000 Then there's an assistant attorney general on just about every single section.
00:23:59.000 Okay.
00:23:59.000 Like the environment, civil rights, the criminal division, the civil division, the solicitor general, all of those are confirmed appointments.
00:24:08.000 They're the leaders of the departments.
00:24:10.000 Yes, you're exactly right.
00:24:11.000 We need to get these people confirmed immediately.
00:24:14.000 President Trump talked about making recess appointments, which is when the Senate goes into recess for a period of time.
00:24:24.000 I think it's four or five days.
00:24:26.000 That's the minimum, but he can then, Constitution provides, if the Senate's out on recess, the president can make recess appointments that would last until the end of the next session, which would be basically two years of somebody serving in a recess capacity.
00:24:42.000 But all those positions are extremely important.
00:24:44.000 We need the right people.
00:24:46.000 We need people who have backbones, okay?
00:24:49.000 Experience, but really backbones.
00:24:53.000 And you may know from my background, right, I was involved with the confirmation of the greatest Supreme Court justice in history, right?
00:24:59.000 And that's Justice Clarence Thomas.
00:25:01.000 You know, he's brilliant.
00:25:02.000 He's an originalist.
00:25:04.000 But most important, he has a backbone.
00:25:06.000 He is never bent.
00:25:08.000 That's what we need from, you know, the appointees of President Trump.
00:25:12.000 And there were too many people in the first administration, right, who didn't have backbones, who thought they knew better than the president, who kept information from him, who tried to subvert him.
00:25:23.000 Political appointees.
00:25:24.000 So there is this deep state of career employees, to be sure.
00:25:27.000 I dealt with them.
00:25:28.000 We all dealt with them in the first term.
00:25:30.000 But it's as important to get political appointees who are fully committed, as you said, to fulfilling the agenda.
00:25:36.000 And that's a lesson learned, I think, from the first administration.
00:25:41.000 And I think, again, that silver lining.
00:25:44.000 Four years of campaigning, coming back, there is no doubt, right?
00:25:48.000 I love the clip of Tom Homan with AOC, right?
00:25:53.000 On deporting illegal aliens.
00:25:55.000 This is legal, this is the president's agenda, and it's overwhelmingly supported by the American people.
00:26:02.000 So if she's opposing that, then she's subverting democracy and the will of the people.
00:26:07.000 Let's play right here.
00:26:09.000 Cut 345 just reinforces this idea of the mandate.
00:26:14.000 This is the Steve Kornacki.
00:26:15.000 Have we tweeted this yet, guys?
00:26:16.000 It's just terrific.
00:26:17.000 Let's play cut 345, please.
00:26:19.000 Trump swept the battlegrounds.
00:26:21.000 But the other big story this week has to do with the popular vote and how Trump pulled that off.
00:26:25.000 Here's one answer.
00:26:26.000 Big.
00:26:27.000 Blue states with very diverse populations, this new coalition that Donald Trump's assembled, it meant that he didn't win any of these, but he made some giant strides.
00:26:36.000 California, biggest of them all, 29-point Biden win four years ago, currently only 18 for Harris, her home state.
00:26:43.000 Look at New York.
00:26:44.000 Basically Trump cutting that Democratic margin in half.
00:26:47.000 Go down this list and look inside those states and you'll see it.
00:26:50.000 Blue collar areas, cities, metro areas with large Hispanic populations.
00:26:55.000 That's where Trump made his big gains there.
00:26:58.000 11 points better in California.
00:27:00.000 And I have to just say, we've been saying that there's something happening in California.
00:27:04.000 Again, of course, it's still a deep blue state.
00:27:06.000 But that kind of movement is a really big, big thing.
00:27:09.000 Can you just summarize How rare it is for an incoming administration to have this type of mandate, not a squeaker, but this kind of mandate.
00:27:20.000 It's rare, and it's even rare, right, to have a battle-tested president who's been president.
00:27:26.000 That's right.
00:27:26.000 What he's doing and he's looking for the right people.
00:27:29.000 It's going to be magnificent.
00:27:31.000 I'm so excited.
00:27:32.000 Again, out of bad and evil comes good, Charlie.
00:27:37.000 And this is what you're seeing right here.
00:27:38.000 The American people embrace the president.
00:27:42.000 He's battle-tested, he's principled, and he's hungry to implement this agenda, which the American people support.
00:27:49.000 And there's no more question about that.
00:27:51.000 And he needs the right appointees to help implement that agenda.
00:27:57.000 Are you ready to lose weight but not sure where to start?
00:27:58.000 I understand.
00:27:59.000 I was right where you are two years ago.

00:28:47.000 Ashley Lucas has her PhD in chronic disease and sports nutrition.
00:28:50.000 Her program is based on years of research and is science-based.
00:28:53.000 Second, the PhD program starts in nutrition, but it's so much more.
00:28:56.000 Go to myphdweightloss.com, myphdweightloss.com.
00:29:00.000 Call 864-644-1900.
00:29:02.000 I lost over 30 pounds.
00:29:04.000 Dr.
00:29:04.000 Asher Lucas, great American.
00:29:05.000 Check it out, myphdweightloss.com.
00:29:09.000 I want to do two things really quick.
00:29:11.000 How do we stop the weaponization of government?
00:29:14.000 And Mark, also, the president has floated this Empowerment Act issue.
00:29:19.000 Is it constitutional?
00:29:21.000 Something that I'm curious about.
00:29:23.000 So please, can you navigate those two topics?
00:29:26.000 Sure.
00:29:26.000 The weaponization, Charlie, awful, right?
00:29:29.000 It was the Biden administration, kind of a long time, you know, sort of in the making with the left.
00:29:35.000 But the Biden people and all of their allies around the country, right?
00:29:40.000 You know, Fannie Willis, Alvin Bragg, just used the law to go after President Trump.
00:29:47.000 They perverted the law.
00:29:48.000 They twisted the law.
00:29:49.000 This wasn't the case of somebody doing something wrong.
00:29:51.000 This was twisting the law to get their political opponent.
00:29:55.000 Absolutely despicable.
00:29:56.000 The American people, I think, that was on the ballot, and they rejected that.
00:30:01.000 Here's the thing.
00:30:02.000 The president needs to assert operational control over the Department of Justice, right, and the FBI, right?
00:30:08.000 He is the president.
00:30:09.000 There's only one Head of the executive branch.
00:30:12.000 That's the president.
00:30:12.000 They all work for him.
00:30:13.000 And so there's been this notion since Watergate, sort of, that somehow the Department of Justice is independent from the president, and they get to look at what they want.
00:30:22.000 And what we see is this deep state, even under President Trump, when they were going after him when he was president, of looking to sort of take out political opponents.
00:30:30.000 And so the president needs to assert, through his appointees and through his direct action, what the Department of Justice is going to look at, right?
00:30:39.000 What they're not going to look at, things that he's not interested in, he should shut down.
00:30:44.000 And I've written a number of articles on this, kind of the history, where President Washington, Adams, Jefferson, lots and lots of examples of them saying, prosecute this person, don't prosecute this person.
00:30:55.000 It's completely in the norm, and the left wants to make it norm-breaking.
00:30:59.000 Why?
00:30:59.000 Because they want to break apart the executive branch and make the president weaker.
00:31:03.000 And that includes the FBI. I think you should fire Chris Wright, obviously the president's decision.
00:31:09.000 Chris Wray at the FBI sent a signal.
00:31:11.000 The FBI is out of control.
00:31:12.000 They work for the Department of Justice who works for the president.
00:31:15.000 They need to look at what the president wants them to look at because he's the head of the executive branch.
00:31:20.000 It's just that simple, that constitutional, and there's history for it.
00:31:25.000 Okay.
00:31:26.000 Moving over, sort of, and I'm happy to talk more about that, but in terms of the impoundment part, that's another law coming out of what I call the Watergate era, the post-Watergate era, which I think were all laws meant to undermine the presidency, to cripple him in the work he does.
00:31:43.000 You had the Independent Counsel Statute, right, in 1978, that literally had federal judges setting up prosecutors to go after the president's appointees, and the president had no control over it, right?
00:31:54.000 And the Supreme Court...
00:31:56.000 Upheld it, I think, 8 to 1 or 7 to 1.
00:31:58.000 It was a monstrosity, but it was all meant to weaken the presidency.
00:32:03.000 The Empowerment Control Act is the same thing.
00:32:05.000 It came out of the Watergate era, and it basically says, hey, you know, Mr.
00:32:10.000 President, when we appropriate $100 billion or $100 million for a project, you have to spend every last cent or you are breaking the law, all right?
00:32:20.000 So if you can build a tank, Let's say it's $100 million.
00:32:23.000 You can build a tank for $80 million.
00:32:24.000 That $20 million, if you don't spend it, you are breaking the law.
00:32:27.000 The only way you cannot do it is to actually go back to Congress and say, pass a new law rescinding that money.
00:32:33.000 That's just insanity.
00:32:35.000 It's stupidity.
00:32:37.000 It's opened up the flood of spending over the past many decades.
00:32:41.000 And it cripples the presidency from having agency, from kind of saying, I can run this thing more efficiently.
00:32:47.000 I can do a better job.
00:32:49.000 Or these are programs that are not good, that are unconstitutional.
00:32:55.000 And we sort of tried to go down that road during the first administration.
00:33:00.000 We did try and rescind funds under the Empowerment Control Act.
00:33:03.000 We saw up front how it doesn't work, how it actually does undermine the president's constitutional authority.
00:33:09.000 So I think the president's right, he has said, it's unconstitutional.
00:33:12.000 But it's a great way for Elon Musk and his new commission to find savings and then go to the president and say, I recommend that you impound these funds.
00:33:23.000 And I think we're ready for the fight.
00:33:25.000 We've done a lot of work on this issue.
00:33:27.000 Mark, great work.
00:33:28.000 Thank you so much.
00:33:28.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
