00:00:23.000Charlie, what you've done is incredible here.
00:00:25.000Maybe Charlie Kirk is on the college campus.
00:00:27.000I want you to know we are lucky to have Charlie Kirk.
00:00:30.000Charlie Kirk's running the White House, folks.
00:00:34.000I want to thank Charlie. He's an incredible guy.
00:00:36.000His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA. We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:03:10.000In fact, it was so much so that I personally endorsed him and we had an endorsement ready to go for J.D. Vance and we sent out the endorsement graphic like two months early.
00:03:18.000So we made a lot of friends with that one.
00:03:21.000J.D. Vance, at the time, was polling at 2% in the Ohio Senate primary, ran a great race, got Trump's endorsement, which obviously was the main reason he won the primary.
00:03:30.000He ascended, won the U.S. Senate election against a good candidate, Tim Ryan, and was a great senator, very loyal to President Trump.
00:03:39.000And remember the moment where J.D. Vance and Donald Trump combined forces, as they both needed each other in a unique moment, which was East Palestine.
00:03:48.000Donald Trump's campaign was objectively not going well up until East Palestine.
00:03:52.000His heart wasn't really in it at first.
00:03:54.000Yeah, it wasn't the Trump that we love.
00:03:57.000And it was like, hey, do you want to do this?
00:03:59.000Was kind of what some people were saying.
00:04:01.000And East Palestine got him back into fighting shape.
00:04:04.000He was talking to people face to face.
00:05:07.000And J.D. Vance became one of Donald Trump's fierce supporters in the U.S. Senate on cable television.
00:05:15.000I wasn't thinking at first J.D. Vance was even in the possibility of being considered for a serious vice presidential contender.
00:05:24.000And then fast forward to 2024, all of a sudden, you know, I was hanging out with President Trump and his team and, you know, people were like, you know, what do you think about J.D.? I'm like, I love J.D. Is he being considered?
00:05:33.000They're like, the president likes him.
00:05:34.000He's seriously on a list of like, you know, 10 other people.
00:05:38.000And that list got kind of whittled down and whittled down and whittled down to about five people.
00:05:43.000And I remember I was like, I'm going to go all in.
00:07:09.000Literally just as like a regular dude showing up at a conference on a Sunday.
00:07:12.000And took pictures of everybody, hung out with everybody.
00:07:15.000Literally, our team was blowing me up.
00:07:17.000They're like, this is the best speaker we've ever had.
00:07:19.000Super easy. And literally, our team...
00:07:22.000Understand, there's people that are running for dog catcher in eastern Tennessee that show up at Turning Point events with a nine-person entourage.
00:07:30.000Okay? And this is a guy who is a legit finalist for the vice president.
00:07:34.000At that time, he was in the final three.
00:07:35.000It was Rubio, Burgum, J.D. Vance, and maybe Tim Scott, final four.
00:07:40.000And there's no one doing social media stuff.
00:07:42.000There's no one like, okay, well, J.D.'s going to enter this way.
00:07:45.000No, like, advance. This guy's a U.S. senator of a major state of Ohio, the bordering state, and he just shows up by himself.
00:07:52.000By the way, that shows to me tons of self-confidence.
00:07:55.000If you can show up with, you know, just like totally by yourself, you know, you kind of navigate it yourself.
00:08:02.000And so anyway, so he gives a great speech, drives himself back.
00:08:09.000And just remember, and then we'll get into the debate, but I just want to also thank you guys, the audience.
00:08:14.000You guys, the audience, made a huge difference in this.
00:08:16.000Remember, I was soliciting, do you guys want JD or not?
00:08:19.000Do you want Marco Rubio, Doug Burgum, do you want Nikki Haley?
00:08:21.000I would show the president what you guys were thinking in real time.
00:08:25.000Would you have done it if they... Oh, I love Nikki Haley, Charlie!
00:08:28.000No, but I would have scolded all of you.
00:08:31.000You're like, no. But you guys that were always communicating and taking our polls and emailing me freedom at charliekirk.com, I would literally show the president and I would text the team and be like, hey, this is what our audience wants.
00:08:42.000This is what our millions of people want.
00:09:22.000In fact, debate graders were saying this was the most impressive vice presidential debate performance that they have seen in the modern era.
00:09:34.000I'll go through all the elements of why it was good and what it means politically, but just for me personally and for those of us and for those of you that pushed for J.D. Vance, you should feel really good about yourself.
00:09:43.000Because this was far better than Mike Pence ever did in a debate.
00:09:47.000This was far better than Paul Ryan ever did in a debate.
00:09:50.000And I think it actually will make a difference in the election because this election right now is tied everywhere.
00:09:56.000As Nate Silver says, it's the closest election ever.
00:09:58.000And it will help bring soft, moderate Republicans home.
00:10:02.000Also, the final thing I'll say is President Trump deserves the credit for trusting his gut and his instinct to All of the warmongers and the neoconservatives and multiple billionaires were doing a lobbying effort against Trump saying, do not pick J.D. Vance, do not pick J.D. Vance, do not pick J.D. Vance.
00:10:20.000And J.D. Vance defied them, I'm sorry, Donald Trump defied them all and he made a decision.
00:10:25.000Listen to the bass. Listen to the American people.
00:10:27.000Listen to the grassroots. And I gotta be honest, the Trump team and the Trump movement, we are blessed to have J.D. Vance.
00:10:34.000And last night, that was on full display.
00:10:36.000We will play the tape. We'll go through it in methodical detail.
00:10:51.000Americans are tired and frustrated by a stalling economy, inflation, endless wars, and the relentless assault on our values.
00:10:57.000Thankfully, there's companies like Patriot Mobile that still believe in America and our Constitution.
00:11:02.000I'm proud to partner with Patriot Mobile because they're on the front lines fighting for the First and Second Amendments, Sanctity of Life, and our military and first responder heroes.
00:11:10.000Take a stand for conservative causes and put America first by switching to Patriot Mobile
00:12:22.000It's all in good hands. Let's come on home.
00:12:25.000And because of that, J.D. Vance needs to talk to the center-right person who would, in a heartbeat, vote for a Romney.
00:12:34.000Heartbeat would vote for a Paul Ryan, would vote for that kind of a candidate.
00:12:38.000But Trump, either from personality or tone, or they're just very persuaded by mass media and television advertisements, they're like, man, I'm not there yet.
00:12:47.000That polling shows that's not an insignificant portion of the electorate, right, Blake?
00:12:52.000There's just a lot of people like that, and they've been around a long time, and, you know, they don't change their habits, unfortunately, but they're certainly a lot better than the people we're running against.
00:13:04.000And these are people that want to see a more civil tone.
00:13:07.000They want to see a kind of get along type vibe.
00:13:16.000I understand why they dislike that about Trump.
00:13:19.000I think Trump was sort of necessary as like a blunt object because being really polite is not getting the point across of what's going on in this country.
00:13:28.000But I understand, you know, in the abstract, yes, it is better to have civil, political tone.
00:13:35.000Yeah. The point is that Trump is still Trump, and now you have this extra wrinkle and layer that gives people that say, man, I'm just not there yet on Trump.
00:13:46.000A justification to then vote for J.D. Vance.
00:13:58.000If you are watching a VP debate, you are a high-propensity voter, okay?
00:14:04.000Last night was not somebody that's like—very few people are like first-time voters that are like watching this and trying to make up their mind.
00:14:23.000This is not your type of guy that is working a 7-7 police gig, coming home, and would usually watch Thursday Night Football, and he's like, I'm going to go watch the VP debate for 30 minutes.
00:14:38.000The muscular class was not well represented in the VP viewing debate.
00:14:43.000Who was, was higher income earner, laptop class, people that work on their laptops like us, right?
00:14:50.000People that went to Dartmouth like Blake.
00:14:52.000People unhealthily committed to following US politics.
00:14:55.000Correct. But that's an important, that's still a micro community, especially in states like Arizona.
00:15:00.000A lot of voters like that. Very college educated, very high IQ, and they want to see that kind of nuance.
00:15:07.000I want to go to what I believe was J.D. Vance's best moment.
00:15:10.000J.D. Vance was confident enough and stoic enough to be able to politely and precisely and powerfully stand up for himself against the three women.
00:15:23.000It was the two moderators and Tim Walls.
00:15:25.000And be able to correct the record on the CBP1 app, and I hope you all understand this, is that border crossings are not the only way that they are now transporting illegals into the country.
00:15:38.000They are flying in foreigners via an Expedia Travelocity type app, where you can now go to an application, if you are a foreigner and a Haitian, and get your entrance into the country approved by Expediently.
00:16:17.000I think it's important because the rules were that you guys weren't going to fact check.
00:16:23.000And since you're fact checking me, I think it's important to say what's actually going on.
00:16:27.000So there's an application called the CBP OneApp.
00:16:30.000Or you can go on as an illegal migrant, apply for asylum or apply for parole, and be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala Harris open border wand.
00:16:41.000That is not a person coming in, applying for a green card and waiting for 10 years.
00:16:46.000That is the facilitation of a legal immigration, Margaret, by our own leadership.
00:16:49.000Thank you, Senator, for describing the legal process.
00:18:53.000They don't necessarily have a very strong brand and that is conducive to you know
00:18:58.000Good substantive debate their job is don't screw it up. Don't alienate people and so I think we saw that you saw both
00:19:04.000candidates We're giving more concessions to each other. They were
00:19:09.000It was less combative and that means you have more room to talk about actual policy stuff
00:19:14.000Although the best policy moment was still when JD had to man-splain about you know, the phone app
00:19:21.000I want to get to that tape, but my favorite part of the entire night from a substance standpoint is when J.D. Vance read the room in the electorate, Tim Walls was really confused and was not really sure what was going on.
00:19:36.000Where J.D. Vance said, no, the expert class, the ruling class, the oligarchy has gotten a lot wrong.
00:19:44.000Let's think about it. They said that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.
00:19:48.000They said that it was okay to mask your child and to shut down your kid's local school.
00:19:54.000They said that the vaccine was safe and effective.
00:21:07.000I was like, here's all my thoughts about the debate.
00:21:09.000One of the things I said is, don't be afraid to reject the consensus of the ruling class, because what's happening in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, is everyday voters, they have wisdom and common sense, but they might not have PhDs.
00:21:48.000This was J.D. Vance's best moment that really was edifying and was extremely telling about the divide.
00:21:57.000If you trust the government, if you trust the FBI, and if you trust the CDC, and if you trust Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson& Johnson, Moderna, vote for Tim Walls and Kamala Harris.
00:22:07.000But if you trust citizens, vote for Trump.
00:22:11.000Play cut 130. If Kamala Harris has such great plans for how to address middle-class problems, then she ought to do them now.
00:22:19.000Not when asking for a promotion, but in the job the American people gave her three and a half years ago.
00:22:24.000And the fact that she isn't tells you a lot about how much you can trust her actual plans.
00:22:29.000Now, Donald Trump's economic plan is not just a plan, but it's also a record.
00:22:34.000A lot of those same economists attack Donald Trump's plans, and they have PhDs, but they don't have common sense, and they don't have wisdom.
00:22:41.000Because Donald Trump's economic policies delivered the highest take-home pay in a generation in this country, 1.5% inflation, and to boot, peace and security all over the world.
00:22:52.000They have PhDs, but they don't have wisdom.
00:23:05.000And understand that the example he kept on repeating was the deindustrialization of the heartland of the country was one of the great public policy failures of the modern era.
00:23:22.000Tim Walz said, well, I think it was a mistake to de-industrialize the heartland.
00:23:25.000Well, which is it then? Is it that we should trust McKinsey and Deloitte and the managerial class that basically came in with a bunch of central planning pride and said, oh, we're going to move these factories to Wuhan.
00:23:39.000Everything will be great. Blake, J.D. Vance was on the side of voters on this issue.
00:23:44.000Yeah, it's just, and we're getting back to what originally caused Trump to take off so much, and it was that he had that brash developer ability to just point at something that's obviously insane, and they only maintain the facade that it's not insane by this suffocating unanimity among the expert class.
00:24:25.000Vance's showing there was really great because it shows how that Trump brashness, that Trump directness, that Trump ability to call out BS is migrating out into the rest of the right-wing political sphere, which is that transition we need to make in order to have a post-Trump mega political movement.
00:24:47.000I think that's really smart, and I totally agree.
00:24:50.000The back and forth was remarkable, and I want to make sure I hit this one part here because it was lesser reported.
00:24:58.000Actually, this comes very personal to me as a Christian, as I frequently quote scripture as a moral backbone of how I think society should run and how I think we should derive our morality from.
00:25:15.000So liberals and Democrats, or even Republicans, are allowed to quote scripture as long as it's for open borders and secular worldview and mutilating kids.
00:25:26.000Fine. Scripture is permissible in the justification of left-wing politics.
00:25:33.000But if I were to quote scripture about that God created man and woman...
00:26:02.000It's funded. It's supported by the people who do it.
00:26:05.000And it lets us keep our dignity about how we treat other people.
00:26:09.000Okay. The way that should have been responded is, great, Tim, so what about the 320,000 missing kids from the southern border, many of whom are now sex slaves?
00:26:33.000So if Donald Trump or Charlie Kirk or J.D. Vance were to use scripture to justify any of our public policy positions, MSNBC would lose its fit.
00:26:42.000They'd have Tim Alberta on there saying that you guys are rising as fascism and Christian nationalists and you're the worst thing ever.
00:26:49.000But if Tim Walls uses scripture, it's, well, he's really bringing morals into this conversation.
00:26:56.000This is Jen Psaki talking about how she's going to circle back to Tim Walls not starting well.
00:27:06.000But tonight, I felt like he was spending a lot of time in the first half or two-thirds proving he read the briefing materials, and I was missing the magic and the organic spontaneity of Tim Walz.
00:27:18.000I know you already all talked about the January 6th moment, which I thought was great, and the moment on health care, also great.
00:27:24.000I loved it when he quoted the Bible and made it about morality on immigration.
00:27:29.000But coming out of it, I hope that they free Tim Walz.
00:27:33.000And put him out there and let him be rusty at times and make mistakes and hug football players and cry and be funny sometimes.
00:27:41.000That's the magic. That's why he's on the ticket.
00:27:44.000Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Made it about morality when it comes to immigration?
00:27:47.000So just so we're clear, it is now permissible to have the Bible be a standard of morality in political discourse.
00:27:54.000I just want to make sure I'm hearing this correctly.
00:27:56.000When I talk about how God created men and women, we talk about how borders are a biblical concept, we talk about how life begins at conception, all of that is no Charlie.
00:29:55.000And I get so confused between Nicole Wallace and Stephanie Ruhle, who are just kind of these suburban wine moms that they put on MSNBC that are constantly just complaining about Trump being a threat to democracy.
00:30:05.000There are millions of these kind of suburban wine moms that tend to be part of the Trump derangement syndrome Democrat Leviathan.
00:30:13.000Anyway, so this is Nicole Wallace here, Cut 112.
00:30:16.000And I actually think if you're a woman, that might be the worst moment J.D. Vance had, because he was going to mansplain right over that mute button.
00:30:26.000And again, I don't pretend to know how everyone will react to this.
00:30:30.000I think that a lot of women in positions of authority that should command respect just by virtue of that dynamic will see themselves as some dude that disrespected them and talked over.
00:30:41.000I mean, there was a moment like that with the vice presidential in the Harris-Pence debate.
00:30:46.000So, mansplaining is standing up for yourself up against three women.
00:30:53.000You really wonder how politics can work if this is their reaction to like, oh, a guy firmly wants to explain the deranged thing the government is doing.
00:31:02.000And they're like, oh my god, not a good look, Stacey.
00:31:05.000And by the way, I thought that the whole idea of feminism was that they wanted to be treated equal.
00:31:11.000As women, this is the bigotry of low expectations that you can't stand up to a calm, spoken...
00:31:17.000I mean, just to be clear, J.D. Vance could not have been more polite, yet firm, precise, and effective.
