00:01:37.000 There is a lot happening as the tragedy in California continues.
00:01:44.000 It is tempting to say that everything happening with these California fires is an act of God.
00:01:50.000 Of course, partially that is correct.
00:01:52.000 There's the Santa Ana winds, and for anybody that has landed or tried to land a plane and the Santa Ana winds, you know that it is truly an act of God when that happens.
00:02:03.000 But this is much deeper than that.
00:02:04.000 This is not...
00:02:05.000 An act of God.
00:02:07.000 What you are seeing in California is man-made.
00:02:09.000 What you are seeing in California is not from the heavens.
00:02:13.000 It is a decision.
00:02:16.000 It is a choice.
00:02:18.000 What you are seeing in California is a sequence of decisions.
00:02:22.000 Let's put that B-roll up, please, guys, on screen.
00:02:25.000 It is a series of political decisions that have happened over a period of time.
00:02:31.000 This scale of destruction.
00:02:34.000 What we are seeing in Pacific Palisades, what we're seeing in Pasadena, what we're seeing all across Los Angeles County is because of intentional political decisions.
00:02:44.000 This is not an act of God.
00:02:46.000 This is the lack of action from man.
00:02:50.000 Number one, the inability or the unwillingness to clean up the brush.
00:02:58.000 Environmentalists say, no, you can't clean up the brush.
00:03:00.000 You might disrupt a local rabbit.
00:03:02.000 There might be a local grasshopper that will get offended.
00:03:05.000 At the root of environmentalism is that human beings do not come first.
00:03:12.000 And what you are looking at there on screen, that is not Dresden.
00:03:17.000 That is the Pacific Palisades.
00:03:19.000 Every house is eliminated.
00:03:21.000 I am now up to 15 people that I know personally that have completely lost their homes.
00:03:27.000 Lost everything that they own.
00:03:30.000 15 people.
00:03:31.000 And I could show you some of the pictures and you're seeing it up on screen.
00:03:34.000 Not cleaning up the brush because the environmentalists.
00:03:36.000 And of course, the biggest one, number two, is the water.
00:03:40.000 Gavin Newsom, who should resign in disgrace for his handling of these fires.
00:03:46.000 Has refused to allow the fresh water that comes from the heavens, act of God, to be captured and put in reservoirs to be able to fight the fires.
00:03:56.000 We have videos of firefighters using women's purses to try and put out the fires.
00:04:04.000 Gavin Newsom actively dismantled four dams.
00:04:08.000 Gavin Newsom went out of his way to dismantle and pick apart four dams in the Los Angeles area.
00:04:15.000 And then, of course, number three, which is that California has been the petri dish.
00:04:21.000 It has been the Wuhan Institute of Virology for the woke mind virus.
00:04:28.000 California is where all of the diversity, equity, inclusion, critical race theory, LGBTQIA plus ideology has been festering.
00:04:40.000 And it turns out when you need to fight a fire, it doesn't matter if your fire chief is gay, black, lesbian, trans.
00:04:48.000 It matters whether or not you have a capable firefighting force.
00:04:53.000 And they have intentionally tried to drive out all of the white people from the firefighting force in Los Angeles.
00:05:00.000 We don't need white men to fight fires.
00:05:03.000 So they have a fish-first policy.
00:05:05.000 They have a let's not offend the grasshopper policy and let's have a bunch of lesbian fire chiefs.
00:05:11.000 Not an exaggeration for the record.
00:05:13.000 According to an article that Blake sent last night, I could not believe it.
00:05:18.000 The Los Angeles fire response is run by four lesbians all by the name of Kristen.
00:05:25.000 It's not a joke.
00:05:26.000 There are four lesbians all by the name of Kristen that are running three...
00:05:31.000 I'm sorry, it's three, not four.
00:05:32.000 Three Christens that run the Los Angeles...
00:05:35.000 Fire chief.
00:05:35.000 The fourth lesbian actually has another name.
00:05:38.000 This is a local news report months ago of them bragging about the new leadership in the fire department and in L.A. County is going to be lesbian, gay, trans.
00:05:52.000 Turns out when you have to fight a fire and you prioritize things that don't matter above things that do matter, don't be shocked when your city burns to a crisp.
00:06:02.000 Play cut 66. The Dallas Fire Department is launching its first ever Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau.
00:06:08.000 It is dedicated to ensuring a fair and equal workplace environment.
00:06:12.000 Every day, the LAFD is called upon to respond to crises, and today it is taking a step to resolve one of its own.
00:06:18.000 The department's first-ever Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Bureau will launch in January, one year since its first-ever female fire chief, Kristen Crowley, was appointed.
00:06:27.000 So by creating this new bureau, our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Bureau, now we actually have the staff to do the work when it comes to doing a deep dive in regard to how we do business, how we take care of one another in the fire stations and in our work environment.
00:06:42.000 The plan is to do so by adding training and enforcing accountability.
00:06:45.000 Was that one of the lesbian Christians running the fire department?
00:06:49.000 So can we, by the way, can we get a collage of all the lesbian Christians?
00:06:53.000 There's three of them.
00:06:54.000 There's four lesbians that are running the L.A. fire department.
00:06:59.000 In fact, one of the articles that was published as the fires were raging from Pride magazine amid Palisades fire.
00:07:07.000 Los Angeles first LGBTQ plus fire chief is proving lesbians get it done.
00:07:13.000 Firefighters are currently trying to stop the Pacific Palisades area fire led by lesbian fire chief Kristen Crowley.
00:07:18.000 Let's keep that up on screen.
00:07:19.000 I actually think Democrats believe that lesbians or gays have like some sort of magical superpower to stop fires.
00:07:27.000 Like is there some sort of innate mystical quality that those three Kristen...
00:07:34.000 Lesbians have, again, I don't care if they're lesbian or gay or straight, if they're capable, but it's obvious you don't get three Christians by the name of, that are lesbian, to run a fire department unless you're prioritizing things that don't matter.
00:07:48.000 So, again, this is not a joke.
00:07:50.000 This is who is running your fire response.
00:07:52.000 Zero percent contained in the Palisades.
00:07:55.000 Zero percent contained in Pasadena.
00:07:58.000 And this is exactly what Gavin Newsom...
00:08:01.000 Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, and they cut the fire budget in Los Angeles by $23 million.
00:08:09.000 The Los Angeles fire budget was cut and hundreds of hydrants were stolen for scrap before the fires.
00:08:16.000 The homeless get more money than the fire department.
00:08:21.000 And the fire department that does get money is you got the finest fighting force that the lesbian community, I suppose, can put forward.
00:08:29.000 And nothing against...
00:08:30.000 Lesbians that want to fight fires have at it.
00:08:33.000 Apparently, you're not very good at it, okay?
00:08:35.000 Because you were promoted for a reason that you should not be there.
00:08:39.000 So you have this kind of perfect storm of wokeism, and that is what you're seeing.
00:08:42.000 Let's see more B-roll, by the way, of all the burning.
00:08:44.000 What you are seeing right there is a perfect storm of wokeism.
00:08:48.000 We can't take the water because of the Delta smelt.
00:08:51.000 We can't clean up the brush because of the grasshoppers.
00:08:54.000 We can't put out the fire because guess what?
00:08:58.000 When you start to prioritize diversity and sexuality over merit, things tend to not go well.
00:09:07.000 This is exactly what we have been warning about as conservatives.
00:09:11.000 As conservatives, we've been warning about this for years.
00:09:14.000 Hey, when a tragedy strikes, it doesn't matter how many diversity points you have.
00:09:20.000 Remember Pete Buttigieg trying to figure out the flight crisis, that disaster?
00:09:24.000 What is the response?
00:09:27.000 From Gavin Newsom, the same thing that they'll say any time that there is a police killing.
00:09:32.000 Ooh, systemic racism.
00:09:34.000 They just say climate change.
00:09:35.000 Define the term, Gavin Newsom.
00:09:37.000 Define the term.
00:09:38.000 What do you mean by climate change exactly?
00:09:40.000 Was it climate change that put the trio of lesbian Christians in charge of the fire department?
00:09:45.000 Was it climate change that decided not to capture the water and put it into a reservoir?
00:09:50.000 Was it climate change?
00:09:52.000 That decided not to clean up the brush?
00:09:54.000 Or no, instead it was the opposite.
00:09:56.000 It was the cult of earth-worshipping environmentalism.
00:10:00.000 Your ideology is why your people are suffering.
00:10:03.000 This is a choice.
00:10:04.000 This is not an act of God.
00:10:07.000 It is an act of man.
00:10:09.000 And Gavin Newsom, you better preserve your documents.
00:10:13.000 Because I sure hope that Pam Bondi and President Trump open a robust criminal investigation into Gavin Newsom.
00:10:20.000 And Mayor Bass, because in 10 days and 23 hours, you might be facing a very serious federal criminal investigation because you deserve it.
00:10:29.000 This is beyond gross negligence.
00:10:31.000 You might be complicit for the murder and arson of your own citizens.
00:10:34.000 So preserve your documents, Gavin Newsom.
00:10:36.000 And let's not forget a great point made by Mark here.
00:10:39.000 Email this freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:10:41.000 We kicked out some of the most alpha males from the fire department for the vaccine requirement.
00:10:49.000 Hey, everybody.
00:10:50.000 Charlie Kirk here.
00:10:51.000 What does the future hold for business?
00:10:52.000 Ask nine experts.
00:10:53.000 You'll get all sorts of different answers.
00:10:55.000 In fact, you might get 10 answers if you ask nine experts.
00:10:57.000 They'll say a bull market, a bear market, rates will rise or fall, inflation up or down.
00:11:02.000 Can someone please invent a crystal ball?
00:11:04.000 Until then, over 38,000 businesses have future-proofed their business with NetSuite by Oracle.
00:11:11.000 The number one cloud, ERP, bringing accounting, financial management, inventory, HR into one fluid platform.

00:11:27.000 With real-time insights and forecasting, you're peering into the future with actionable data.
00:11:31.000 When you're closing the books in days, not weeks, you're spending less time looking backwards and more time on what's next.
00:11:37.000 At Turning Point USA, this is exactly what we plan on using.
00:11:40.000 Whether your company is earning millions or even hundreds of millions of dollars, NetSuite helps you respond to immediately challenges and seize your biggest opportunities.
00:11:47.000 Go to netsuite.com slash Kirk.
00:11:52.000 Instead of cleaning the forest floors and removing dead trees, capturing rain runoff...
00:11:59.000 And making sure California has water in fire hydrants, Democrat politicians will instead deflect responsibility and blame climate change.
00:12:10.000 This magical blame shifting allows them to avoid accountability for their incompetence and mismanagement while wielding tyrannical power over voters, harassing them for cooking on gas stoves, forcing them to drive electric vehicles, and charging them a carbon tax for simply living.
00:12:30.000 Human lives are not improved by this.
00:12:32.000 They are destroyed.
00:12:34.000 Cities lie in actual rubble.
00:12:36.000 And taxpayers and insurancy policyholders around the country are on the hook to clean up their failed, far-left, dystopian disaster.
00:12:48.000 And I'm not joking.
00:12:49.000 There needs to be criminal investigations into this.
00:12:52.000 Gavin Newsom closed four dams.
00:12:57.000 Karen Bass is in Ghana.
00:12:59.000 Or she was and she came back.
00:13:01.000 Do we have Karen Bass just completely freezing up?
00:13:03.000 What cut is that?
00:13:04.000 They ask her this question.
00:13:06.000 She can't even answer it.
00:13:07.000 She's the mayor of Los Angeles.
00:13:08.000 If there was any fair and free election, Caruso would be the mayor of Los Angeles.
00:13:14.000 Again, there were warnings and warnings and warnings about this.
00:13:17.000 And guess what?
00:13:18.000 Somebody get your hat.
00:13:19.000 Trump was right about everything.
00:13:21.000 President Trump went on the Joe Rogan podcast and he was so mocked by this.
00:13:26.000 Listen carefully.
00:13:27.000 He was so attacked and mocked for this.
00:13:31.000 Playcut 106. They said, we have no water.
00:13:34.000 I said, do you have a drought?
00:13:35.000 No, we don't have a drought.
00:13:37.000 I said, why don't you have no water?
00:13:38.000 Because the water isn't allowed to flow down.
00:13:41.000 It's got a natural flow from Canada all the way up north.
00:13:44.000 More water than they could ever use.
00:13:46.000 And in order to protect a tiny little fish, the water up...
00:13:55.000 I could have water for all of that land, water for your forests.
00:14:03.000 You know, your forests are dry as a bone, okay?
00:14:05.000 Yeah, dangerous.
00:14:06.000 That water could be routed.
00:14:07.000 You know, you could have everything.
00:14:08.000 Not only dangerous, billions of dollars a year they spend on forest fires.
00:14:13.000 And, you know, there's a case with the environment.
00:14:15.000 They're not allowed to rake their forests because you're not allowed to touch it.
00:14:20.000 And all they have to do is clean their forest, meaning rake it up, get rid of the leaves, get rid of, you know, leaves that are sitting there for five years.
00:14:28.000 We'll certainly get rid of the dead fall.
00:14:30.000 And get rid of the trees that have fallen.
00:14:34.000 You can't clean up the trees or the brush.
00:14:37.000 Everybody in L.A. knows it, but because you might upset the natural habitat of the grasshoppers.
00:14:43.000 Donald Trump is running on America first and Americans first.
00:14:47.000 The Democrats run on Delta smelt first.
00:14:50.000 And grasshoppers first.
00:14:52.000 It is tempting to want to implement diversity, equity, inclusion.
00:14:59.000 Oh, we must be very equitable.
00:15:00.000 However, when there's just a little stress test, things start to fall apart.
00:15:05.000 In 10 days and 23 hours, President Trump becomes president.
00:15:09.000 Just imagine...
00:15:10.000 How unfit our military is right now.
00:15:13.000 We've been warning about that for quite some time.
00:15:15.000 This feckless response that we are seeing on the ground in the Palisades and all across California is a microcosm of a larger cancer and a tumor that President Trump is going to have to take a scalpel and remove.
00:15:29.000 Environmentalists have weaponized the Endangered Species Act.
00:15:33.000 They basically invent subspecies that are actually part of a much more common one so they can justify blocking development.
00:15:41.000 Environmentalists are earth worshippers.
00:15:43.000 They're inherently anti-progress, anti-growth.
00:15:46.000 They're inherently against human flourishing.
00:15:49.000 To them, this fire is just karma for all of modernity's development against them.
00:15:56.000 Just the other day, the New York Times admitted that the snail darter wasn't even a real species, and it blocked development for years.
00:16:04.000 The New York Times wrote, this tiny fish mistaken identity halted a dam's construction.
00:16:10.000 Scientists say the snail darter, whose endangered species status delayed the building of a dam in Tennessee, is a genetic match of a different fish.
00:16:18.000 So they just invent subspecies to prevent development.
00:16:26.000 I want to hear from you, freedomatcharliekirk.com.
00:16:28.000 There needs to start to be investigations of public officials.
00:16:31.000 By the way, let's just get the record straight.
00:16:34.000 If Eric Adams, the mayor of New York, is under multiple federal indictments for taking free flights on Turkish airlines, it's not too much to say that Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, should face federal charges for letting her city burn.
00:16:51.000 They tried to put Donald Trump in prison for paying some...
00:16:55.000 Business expense.
00:16:56.000 I think Karen Bass can face federal charges.
00:17:00.000 Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here with New Year's Resolutions.
00:17:03.000 Many of us will vow to eat healthier, and that's a good thing.
00:17:05.000 But what about your beloved pets and their nutrition?
00:17:07.000 Naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black is on a mission to provide better nutrition for cats and dogs because truthfully, it's not what you are feeding your pet, it's what you are not.
00:17:16.000 Which is why he created Rough Greens and Meow Greens in the first place.
00:17:20.000 Bring their dead food back to life with live vitamins, minerals, probiotics, enzymes, omega oils, antioxidants, and so much more.
00:17:28.000 All in their tasty formula your dog or cat will love.
00:17:32.000 Improve your pet's coat, digestion, and energy and have less vet bills.

00:18:00.000 Hey, the Palisades are gone, but the grasshoppers...
00:18:07.000 Ironically, the grasshoppers probably all died too.
00:18:10.000 This is tragic stuff.
00:18:12.000 And the lack of leadership from Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass.
00:18:17.000 We have this piece of tape.
00:18:19.000 We'll play it in a second.
00:18:20.000 Karen Bass doesn't even know how to answer.
00:18:23.000 Did anyone check the water levels?
00:18:25.000 This is not complicated stuff.
00:18:26.000 You do not need a PhD in astrophysics to figure this out.
00:18:31.000 Do we have water levels?
00:18:33.000 Do we have firefighters that aren't lesbian by the name of Kristen?
00:18:36.000 Do we have the ability to respond to tragedy?
00:18:40.000 Did we clean up the brush?
00:18:42.000 When you start focusing on the distant and the ideological and you don't understand the immediate, civilization ends.
00:18:55.000 This is Mayor Karen Bass, who is a DEI mayor.
00:18:58.000 Let's just be very clear.
00:18:59.000 She is a...
00:19:00.000 Black woman.
00:19:01.000 I'm not sure if she's a lesbian.
00:19:02.000 I don't know if she is or not.
00:19:03.000 Probably not.
00:19:04.000 But she's a black mayor who's there just because of diversity, equity, inclusion.
00:19:09.000 She ran up against Caruso, who's a very well-known developer, very qualified, and she beat her in an incredibly sneaky, suspicious election.
00:19:21.000 And the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, was an organizer for the Marxist Ven Cerrimos Brigade, who supported Fidel Castro.
00:19:31.000 She visited Cuba eight times as a young woman.
00:19:34.000 Outside of politics, her main job was a community organizer.
00:19:38.000 This is the embodiment of left-wing ideology.
00:19:43.000 This is the manifestation of the woke.
00:19:46.000 You can't put out fires.
00:19:48.000 You've got a black woman mayor in Ghana.
00:19:51.000 You've got three lesbian fire chiefs by the name of Kristen.
00:19:55.000 This is peak woke.
00:19:57.000 Playcott 125. Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning?
00:20:03.000 Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor?
00:20:09.000 Have you nothing to say today?
00:20:13.000 Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today?
00:20:17.000 Elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent.
00:20:20.000 Are you considering your position?
00:20:25.000 That's the first time I saw that piece of clip.
00:20:27.000 Did she not hear the question?
00:20:29.000 It looks like she was on some sort of plane gate terminal.
00:20:33.000 Is that right?
00:20:35.000 Half a billion dollar budget deficit.
00:20:38.000 When these fires broke out, Bass was on a pleasure trip all the way in Ghana, in Africa, to visit the inauguration of the country's new president.
00:20:46.000 That visit was paid for with taxpayer funds.
00:20:49.000 Los Angeles has a budget deficit of almost half a billion dollars.
00:20:53.000 If your city doesn't have a balanced budget, the number of diplomatic trips should go to zero.
00:20:59.000 I live in Phoenix, by the way.
00:21:01.000 I was just talking to a realtor.
00:21:03.000 He said he is getting inundated with calls right now of people from California that say, we're done, we're leaving, we're done.
00:21:09.000 And I do not wish harm on anybody because of their politics.
00:21:13.000 I don't.
00:21:13.000 However, for every person that has advocated, raised money, bundled and donated to Democrats, you are living...
00:21:21.000 In the tragedy of your own making.
00:21:24.000 And you guys were told by the New York Times, the Washington Post, right-wing people like Elon Musk and right-wing people like Charlie Kirk are making it seem like woke ideologies doesn't harm you and now you don't have a driveway.
00:21:36.000 And now everything you own is gone.
00:21:39.000 We were fear-mongering.
00:21:40.000 We were pouncing.
00:21:42.000 Republicans pounce!
00:21:44.000 We're too divisive.
00:21:45.000 Turns out we were right.
00:21:46.000 It turns out all of you in this audience were right.
00:21:49.000 It turns out that every single one of us, and I gotta be honest though, there's a lot of American first and patriots that no longer have homes too.
00:21:57.000 I know of 15 conservative people, some of which that work on our team that I mentioned yesterday, their entire home is gone.
00:22:05.000 And again, I do not take delight in anybody's suffering.
00:22:09.000 I do not take joy in people's misery.
00:22:13.000 But the Democrat Party has been wanting America to commit suicide over the last decade.
00:22:19.000 And now they don't have a home.
00:22:21.000 And I do feel sorry for them.
00:22:23.000 But I hope some of these Democrats, that now everything they own is gone.
00:22:27.000 Look at that.
00:22:28.000 And look, I don't want to overly politicize this.
00:22:30.000 Blake, can you pull up the precinct map of how Pacific Palisades voted?
00:22:33.000 Let's just go straight at the third rail of this whole thing.
00:22:37.000 It's 80-20 Democrat.
00:22:39.000 Am I right?
00:22:40.000 Let's get the precinct map.
00:22:41.000 Let's make sure we get it right.
00:22:42.000 I want the New York Times precinct map.
00:22:44.000 No one deserves to suffer because of their politics.
00:22:47.000 However, if you have voted a certain way, this is what you wanted.
00:22:52.000 This used to be a conservative area back in the 1950s.
00:22:58.000 Eight out of ten of those houses you're seeing are left-wing Democrats.
00:23:01.000 Eight out of ten.
00:23:02.000 And that's a tragedy.
00:23:03.000 They don't deserve it.
00:23:04.000 They're American citizens.
00:23:05.000 They deserve help.
00:23:06.000 But they advocated for this.
00:23:08.000 They donated to Joe Biden.
00:23:09.000 They raised money for Kamala Harris.
00:23:11.000 And this is why politics matters.
00:23:13.000 And this is why when these pastors and these good-for-nothing people will come up to me, oh, Charlie, I'm tired of politics.
00:23:18.000 Well, if you don't get politics right, you don't have a home.
00:23:21.000 This is 100% a byproduct of your willingness or your unwillingness to engage in the political arena.
00:23:29.000 And when California, in a couple of weeks, comes crawling back for federal assistance, Trump should say, listen, I'm not going to give you a dime unless you fire the lesbian Christians.
00:23:40.000 You mandate the proper forest management and stop controlled burns that Newsom has stopped.
00:23:45.000 You cut it out with California's failed diversity, equity, inclusion, homeless spending.
00:23:50.000 You require water capture instead of flushing it into the ocean.
00:23:55.000 We're not going to pay for this anymore.
00:23:57.000 This is your own making.
00:23:59.000 When Florida gets hit by a hurricane, FPL, Florida Power and Light, has power coming back in a couple days.
00:24:06.000 They also build their homes in a certain way to be hurricane-proof.
00:24:10.000 California, they're so left-wing, they're so liberal, they're so out of touch, they're so earth-worshipping, and now entire neighborhoods are gone as if an atomic bomb was dropped.
00:24:21.000 In 2020, Pacific Palisades voted 70% for Joe Biden.
00:24:27.000 So it's 70-30.
00:24:30.000 This looks like Ukraine.
00:24:32.000 Not our own country.
00:24:34.000 Oh, but it's funny you mention that.
00:24:35.000 Because Joe Biden and Senate Republicans have sent a lot of money to Ukraine.
00:24:40.000 A lot.
00:24:41.000 In fact, we spent $250 billion to Ukraine.
00:24:45.000 This is the current ruling class regime.
00:24:48.000 And just, oh, by the way, didn't you know this?
00:24:50.000 The Los Angeles Fire Department just donated surplus supplies to Ukraine.
00:24:55.000 Don't take my word for it.
00:24:56.000 James Woods, who has become a really good friend.
00:25:00.000 Said, hey, the fire truck pulled up to try to put out the fire in front of his home.
00:25:03.000 It turns out there was no water.
00:25:04.000 But there is a lesbian fire chief.
00:25:06.000 Which one would you rather have?
00:25:08.000 Water, lesbian fire chief.
00:25:10.000 Lesbian, fire chief, water.
00:25:12.000 Playcut 124. Laura, with all due respect, if it is true that things were handled this way, if it is true that Gavin Newsom is...
00:25:21.000 The absolute blithering idiot that I believe he is in the way he has handled fire management in this state again and again and again and again.
00:25:29.000 This isn't a wake-up call.
00:25:32.000 This is the kind of thing they have tribunals for, where they try people and say, you had an oath of office to perform certain duties.
00:25:40.000 When you're the fire chief, this isn't a social justice exercise that you're in charge of.
00:25:46.000 This is you getting water to areas that need water because there are fires in 100-mile-an-hour winds burning houses to the ground.
00:25:56.000 I watched on a ring camera a guy have to sit and watch his pet burn to death.
00:26:02.000 You know, those things are issues of the heart when you watch a cherished little pet.
00:26:08.000 Or, you know, look, my home is a building.
00:26:12.000 It was our...
00:26:14.000 We worked three years putting the homes together.
00:26:16.000 We loved our little house.
00:26:18.000 But it means nothing compared to the five people who lost their lives.
00:26:22.000 James Woods is an American hero.
00:26:23.000 By the way, he went to MIT. He's brilliant.
00:26:25.000 Let's put that up on screen here.
00:26:27.000 I want you just to see this.
00:26:29.000 No one deserves the tragedy.
00:26:31.000 But they did invite tragedy to their home.
00:26:34.000 This is how the precincts of Palisades and California voted.
00:26:40.000 There is not a single red precinct in sight.
00:26:42.000 Do you see that?
00:26:43.000 There is not a single red.
00:26:44.000 In fact, it's as blue as it gets.
00:26:47.000 Oh, yeah, sure, we don't care if we have water.
00:26:50.000 Black lives matter.
00:26:51.000 Oh, yeah, yeah, we don't care if we don't clean up the brush.
00:26:54.000 Diversity is our strength.
00:26:57.000 Oh, yeah, yeah, we don't care if we have a fire chief that knows how to turn on the fire truck.
00:27:04.000 In this house, we believe.
00:27:07.000 These are the same people that were chasing you through the street because you decided to go for a walk in the park without a mask on.
00:27:13.000 That right there is how all of these neighborhoods voted.
00:27:18.000 And I don't take delight in it.
00:27:19.000 In fact, I take sadness when I see this.
00:27:22.000 You should be sad looking at that.
00:27:24.000 Because what you have seen right there is entire neighborhoods commit suicide.
00:27:28.000 They committed suicide with their vote over a long period of time.
00:27:32.000 And suicide's sad.
00:27:34.000 Suicide is objectively a tragedy.
00:27:36.000 It is not something to celebrate.
00:27:37.000 I'm not rubbing it in their face.
00:27:39.000 I'm not saying, oh, you deserve this.
00:27:42.000 No.
00:27:42.000 You guys decided to slit the throat of your own driveways.
00:27:46.000 And yes, there are a lot of exceptions to people.
00:27:49.000 20-30% of those neighborhoods are people that I know.
00:27:51.000 As I mentioned, our dear friend Stacy, her home is just gone.
00:27:54.000 I have other friends, I'm not going to say on air, entire home's gone.
00:27:57.000 Other people that I know of family members, entire home's gone.
00:28:00.000 Gone.
00:28:01.000 So there's exceptions.
00:28:02.000 But the majority, the vast majority, Seven out of ten of the people in those neighborhoods, they said, bring it on.
00:28:09.000 The question has always been, when will people in California wake up?
00:28:14.000 We thought it would be when a homeless man is taking a crap in your front yard.
00:28:17.000 Maybe now the wake-up call will be when you don't have a front yard.
00:28:21.000 You know that that sign is the in-house, in this house we believe black lives matter and women's rights are human rights and no human is illegal and science is real.
00:28:29.000 Love is love and kindness is everything.
00:28:30.000 Let's put this up.
00:28:31.000 The dark...
00:28:32.000 truth and humor of that sign is that that sign means nothing if you don't have a house.

00:29:42.000 The dark truth about these Los Angeles fires.
00:29:45.000 It is not an act of God.
00:29:46.000 It is a lack of action from man.
00:29:49.000 They're trying to frame it in the media.
00:29:51.000 Oh, we've never seen winds like this.
00:29:52.000 Look, of course, it is a perfect storm and the winds are going the right way.
00:29:56.000 But...
00:29:56.000 There's acts of God that happen all the time.
00:29:59.000 We have hurricanes, we have tsunamis, we have earthquakes.
00:30:02.000 And then you use your agency as a human being.
00:30:05.000 And this is not the first fire.
00:30:06.000 We had the 2018 fires, we had the 2020 fires.
00:30:09.000 And they just kind of live in Los Angeles with this sword of Damocles above them.
00:30:13.000 All right, joining us now is Steve Hilton.
00:30:15.000 Steve Hilton is Mr. California, great American and great friend.
00:30:19.000 Steve, welcome to the program.
00:30:21.000 I wish it was under better circumstances.
00:30:23.000 Please give us your analysis of what led to this.
00:30:26.000 Our take here on this program is that this is largely preventable and the politics of California got in the way.
00:30:33.000 Steve, your thoughts?
00:30:34.000 Charlie, you're totally right.
00:30:35.000 I just want to, I'm sorry, I'm running around today.
00:30:38.000 I'm here in LA. It's kind of chaotic.
00:30:40.000 I wanted to be with you earlier, but I was listening to what you're saying and you're completely right.
00:30:45.000 This is what you get.
00:30:47.000 We can have...
00:31:10.000 All the water we need in California.
00:31:13.000 My policy organization, Golden Together, we've been putting out policy reports month after month.
00:31:17.000 One of them called water abundance, but they haven't done it.
00:31:21.000 We could be keeping the forest, not just in the Sierras and where all the mountains are.
00:31:27.000 And that point's been made that this is not a forest, this is LA, this is a city.
00:31:32.000 Yeah, but it's the same principle.
00:31:33.000 The chaparral, the conditions on those hillsides, they've been prevented.
00:31:38.000 I know people personally who've tried to clear the brush on their property and have been prevented by officials and bureaucrats captured by this ideological extremism.
00:31:49.000 And here's another point that people aren't talking about enough, Charlie, the short-term point.
00:31:54.000 The devastating...
00:31:55.000 Fear that people have because of the insurance crisis.
00:31:58.000 So people have been saying, well, the insurance companies have pulled out of California.
00:32:02.000 All these people aren't insured.
00:32:04.000 What are they going to do?
00:32:05.000 Yeah, but why have they pulled out?
00:32:06.000 That also is the result of Democrat policy.
00:32:10.000 Why?
00:32:10.000 Because it costs so much to build anything here because of the environmental regulations, the labor regulations.
00:32:17.000 So rebuilding costs are so high.
00:32:19.000 That's why insurance companies have pulled out.
00:32:22.000 And on top of that, they have capped artificial...
00:32:25.000 The rates that insurers can charge, that's Democrat policy as well.
00:32:29.000 So every single aspect of this.
00:32:31.000 And you know, one last point, right?
00:32:33.000 They say Gavin Newsom, you saw him waving his arms around and saying you can't politicize this.
00:32:38.000 Well, hang on a second.
00:32:39.000 What do they do?
00:32:40.000 The second that there's one of these dreadful mass shootings, they are right in there before the bodies are even buried, blaming Republicans, demanding policy change.
00:32:50.000 We're not going to take any of this crap from them.
00:32:52.000 This is exactly the right time to point out that their failures have made this crisis immeasurably worse for millions of people.
00:33:01.000 So, Steve, the tragedy is unspeakable.
00:33:04.000 I don't want to go into any of the detail of that.
00:33:05.000 But you have a whole book here, Caliphailia, Reversing the Ruin of America's Worst Run State.
00:33:12.000 Steve, in your political calculus, which I hate going there too quickly, do you think this could be the beginning of the end of the Democrat monopoly of America's most beautiful state?
00:33:21.000 Well, it has to be, Charlie, because we have to have change in California.
00:33:25.000 Anyone who didn't realise that before this surely must now realise this.
00:33:29.000 And it's interesting to me that people are not holding back.
00:33:32.000 They're not saying, well, let's talk about all this after the event.
00:33:36.000 There's so much anger here because these points have been made for years now.
00:33:41.000 This is not some new...
00:33:42.000 Discovery that we need to manage our forests better or that we need to capture the abundant water we have and collect it and store it and get it to where it's needed.
00:33:52.000 None of this is new.
00:33:54.000 We've been going on about it for years.
00:33:55.000 And so this is a wake-up moment because we've got to make sure nothing like this happens again and put in place the common-sense policies that will build up our infrastructure, prepare us for natural disasters.
00:34:07.000 Disasters happen everywhere, but in places that are badly run, the impact is far worse.
00:34:13.000 And there is nowhere worse run than California.
00:34:15.000 You just compare it to the kind of response you get in well-run states like Florida.
00:34:19.000 I mean, there's just no comparison.
00:34:21.000 And so, yes, this is is the moment to say we badly need change in California.
00:34:27.000 We need common sense change and we've got to fight for it.
00:34:29.000 Steve, Steve, you know, I have a heart for California.
00:34:32.000 I The second most time of any state I spend is in California.
00:34:36.000 Arizona number one.
00:34:38.000 Well, Florida is now rising.
00:34:39.000 But California will be number two.
00:34:40.000 Steve, you should run for office.
00:34:41.000 Think about it.
00:34:42.000 We need new leadership there.
00:34:44.000 Steve, thanks so much.
00:34:44.000 I am.
00:34:45.000 Thank you, Charlie.
00:34:46.000 Oh, is it official now?
00:34:47.000 You are going to run for something?
00:34:49.000 We'll have to have you back on.
00:34:51.000 That's the next conversation.
00:34:53.000 Anytime, Steve.
00:34:54.000 We're behind you.
00:34:54.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:34:56.000 Text this episode to a couple friends and donate to TurningPointUSA at TPUSA.com.
