00:02:27.000 Welcome, everybody.
00:02:29.000 I am thrilled.
00:02:30.000 This is the first year that we're doing it this scale and this size.
00:02:33.000 We have TPUSA faith, and it is growing like crazy right now.
00:02:37.000 We have pastors from all across the country, and it is just incredible.
00:02:42.000 You guys having a good time at AmericaFest?
00:02:47.000 I'll say it again.
00:02:48.000 When you see a Turning Point USA staffer, just pray for them.
00:02:51.000 Because they're not sleeping.
00:02:52.000 They're running around.
00:02:53.000 They're solving problems.
00:02:54.000 And just have grace on them.
00:02:57.000 Just smile and say thank you.
00:02:59.000 Because they are working so hard to serve you.
00:03:01.000 And I think they're doing a really, really great job.
00:03:04.000 Wouldn't you agree?
00:03:04.000 They're doing a great job.
00:03:08.000 So the spirit of this night is all about worshipping our Creator.
00:03:12.000 Now some of you here tonight might have some ideas about Christianity.
00:03:15.000 It's like, oh, I grew up in a Christian school and I don't like the rules and I like this, but Charlie told me to show up and I'm just going to sit here.
00:03:22.000 So tonight I want you to open your heart.
00:03:25.000 And open your mind and say, I'm going to entertain even just because somebody told me this idea that there is a God, and you are not Him, and that God loves you.
00:03:35.000 Those three things.
00:03:36.000 That there is a God, you are not Him, and that God loves you.
00:03:40.000 Those three things.
00:03:41.000 Now as you can see in my shirt here, here I am.
00:03:44.000 It is something that we are repeating at TPUSA Faith.
00:03:47.000 And you know, I listen to podcasts and Read the Word and I just was thinking, what does God want this theme of 2024 to be?
00:03:56.000 And it's kept on repeating and repeating and repeating as I would read in my devotionals and read in my Bible.
00:04:02.000 This idea of, Lord use me.
00:04:06.000 Here I am.
00:04:08.000 Lord use me as an instrument for your will.
00:04:12.000 Now, one of the things that I think is so important to remember As we just had that incredible worship, is that we worship a loving God who allows us to be here on this planet to do His will here on earth.
00:04:26.000 And all of us together, if we have a posture of the willing, and there's different categories for all of us.
00:04:31.000 You see, some of you, I love the Bible.
00:04:34.000 Don't we love the Bible, everybody?
00:04:35.000 It is just...
00:04:38.000 And I want to riff on this a second.
00:04:39.000 I spoke about this in the Turning Point Academy Breakout, which is, what is your owner's manual, instruction manual for life?
00:04:47.000 If it's not the Bible, I want to hear it.
00:04:48.000 You can email me, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:04:51.000 Is it Pray, Eat, Love, or whatever that book is?
00:04:54.000 Or I Do Yoga Meditations?
00:04:57.000 It's fine.
00:04:58.000 Whatever it is.
00:04:59.000 You have to have some instruction manual that you reference.
00:05:02.000 Am I acting correctly?
00:05:04.000 Am I marrying correctly?
00:05:06.000 Am I living life well?
00:05:08.000 You see, for me, and for those of us that call ourselves born-again Christians, it's the Word of God.
00:05:14.000 It is the Bible.
00:05:15.000 It is the totality.
00:05:16.000 It answers every question.
00:05:18.000 Why are we here?
00:05:19.000 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
00:05:22.000 Boom!
00:05:23.000 Your existence is not a mistake, everybody.
00:05:25.000 And are you a clump of cells that accidentally came into existence over millions of years of Darwinian evolution?
00:05:34.000 Genesis 126 and 127. And God made us in His image.
00:05:40.000 We are image bearers of the divine.
00:05:43.000 And therefore, by the way, that means every single life, born and unborn, must be protected, regardless of how big that life is.
00:05:51.000 And let me say this, if you are a pastor and you are not speaking out for pro-life ideas and policies and politicians, you should resign from the ministry because every pastor needs to be speaking out about abortion in their church.
00:06:08.000 Okay.
00:06:09.000 So we know why we're here.
00:06:11.000 Bereshit in the Hebrew.
00:06:12.000 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
00:06:16.000 We know what a human being is.
00:06:18.000 Now what is good or evil?
00:06:19.000 And a lot of people say, you know, I know good and evil through common sense.
00:06:23.000 I know it just because I trust my gut.
00:06:25.000 Bad idea, everybody.
00:06:27.000 You need something to tell you that.
00:06:28.000 You're like, oh, I know it because of what my parents taught me.
00:06:31.000 Where'd they learn it from?
00:06:32.000 Oh, their grandparents.
00:06:32.000 Where'd they learn it from?
00:06:33.000 You go to other countries, you realize what we take for granted is right and wrong is a Christian inheritance that has been passed down through many years.
00:06:41.000 And if we're serious about saving this country, we need to get back to the source of where that inheritance came from, the Word of God and our true citizenship, which is in heaven.
00:06:55.000 So I love the Bible, and even if you're not convinced, I ask you to spend one hour a week and read the Bible.
00:07:03.000 Because you know what I love about the Bible?
00:07:05.000 The more you read the Bible, the more it reads you.
00:07:07.000 It reads you back.
00:07:09.000 It talks back to you.
00:07:10.000 I've never found a book like that.
00:07:12.000 Ever.
00:07:12.000 It answers every single question about wisdom in Proverbs.
00:07:18.000 Psalms about worshiping God in times that you are having difficulty and heaviness.
00:07:23.000 What happens when we die?
00:07:25.000 The answer is, if you give your life to Jesus, you have life and life everlasting, which is the greatest hope for all of us.
00:07:32.000 But also, is murder wrong?
00:07:36.000 Should we honor our parents?
00:07:38.000 Should we care about our country?
00:07:40.000 Jeremiah 29 7, demand the welfare of the nation that you are in because your welfare is tied to your nation's welfare.
00:07:45.000 Every major question you might be wrestling with, there is an answer in the Word of God.
00:07:50.000 And so, there's this phrase, I'm just going to keep on repeating, here I am, the first time it appears in the Bible.
00:07:55.000 And this will apply to every single one of you because none of you get an excuse not to leave here tonight to say, here I am.
00:08:02.000 The first time it appears in the Scriptures is one of the best known stories.
00:08:05.000 The story of Abraham Now, just by backstory, for those of you that don't know the Bible or might have forgot, that's okay.
00:08:12.000 It's all good.
00:08:13.000 Abram is called by God in Genesis 12. We have no idea why Abram was chosen.
00:08:18.000 We don't know anything about this guy.
00:08:19.000 He's just living with his dad until he's like 85. He's kind of a bum, honestly.
00:08:23.000 So, if you think that millennials won't leave their parents' basement, It's been going on well since Abram, everybody.
00:08:31.000 Okay?
00:08:31.000 By the way, this is before video games, before smart.
00:08:34.000 What is this guy doing in his death?
00:08:36.000 And literally, God says, leave your father's home and go on an adventure.
00:08:40.000 And we have no idea why God chose him.
00:08:42.000 We have no idea.
00:08:43.000 He's not that impressive of a person, honestly.
00:08:45.000 But, he was willing.
00:08:49.000 He was not talented.
00:08:50.000 He was not handsome.
00:08:52.000 He wasn't necessarily courageous, but he was the most important thing for a believer.
00:08:58.000 He was willing.
00:08:59.000 It says in Genesis 22, and it's one of the least understood stories in the Bible.
00:09:05.000 Where, you know, some people say, oh, did God want Abraham to kill his son?
00:09:08.000 No, no, no, no.
00:09:09.000 And by the way, the whole story of Genesis 22 is really about Jesus.
00:09:12.000 The whole story is about Jesus as the true sacrifice.
00:09:15.000 But it says right there in Genesis 22 that God was testing Abraham.
00:09:20.000 But the angel of the Lord, the messenger of the Lord, called to him from heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham!
00:09:26.000 And how does Abraham respond?
00:09:28.000 Here I am.
00:09:30.000 Send me.
00:09:32.000 Tell me, God, what to do.
00:09:35.000 And you might say, yeah, yeah, I'm ready.
00:09:37.000 Abraham, all of a sudden, they said, okay, you've got to sacrifice your son.
00:09:43.000 The son, by the way, that he never thought he would have.
00:09:46.000 What was his son's name?
00:09:48.000 Which means?
00:09:50.000 Laughter.
00:09:50.000 Laughter.
00:09:51.000 Why'd they name him Laughter?
00:09:52.000 Because they laughed at the prospect that they would ever have a kid.
00:09:56.000 This is a kid they could not believe actually existed.
00:10:00.000 The kid, they said, come on, I'm like 195 years old.
00:10:02.000 You know, Sarah's not going to have a kid.
00:10:05.000 They have this son that's literally called laughter and God says, do you really follow me?
00:10:11.000 Do you really follow me?
00:10:12.000 And Abraham says, here I am.
00:10:15.000 Now Abraham passed that test and that is the reason eventually that we know that God, Abraham means father of nations, that the covenant was started.
00:10:24.000 The covenant leads all the way to Jesus Christ and an uninterrupted line that leads us here tonight.
00:10:31.000 Abraham was tested.
00:10:32.000 Many of you are going through a test right now.
00:10:34.000 I guarantee it.
00:10:35.000 You might have gotten a diagnosis from a doctor that's not that great.
00:10:39.000 Your spouse might be dealing with something.
00:10:40.000 You might be going through a divorce.
00:10:41.000 You might say, I don't need this here I am stuff because my life is too hard.
00:10:45.000 What did Abraham say when his life was hard and he was tested?
00:10:48.000 Here I am.
00:10:50.000 Every single one of us goes through times of tests and trials.
00:10:54.000 And you say, God use me.
00:10:55.000 What do you want from me during this trial?
00:10:58.000 The second of which, It's Jacob, which ends up to be Israel.
00:11:03.000 So Jacob, literally, very, very interesting character.
00:11:06.000 Jacob means usurper or heal and redeemer because he literally was holding on to Esau's heal as he came out of the womb.
00:11:14.000 They were twins.
00:11:16.000 And it's very simple.
00:11:17.000 The angel of God said to him in a dream, Jacob, and he said, here I am.
00:11:20.000 And from that point forward, the nation of Israel was born.
00:11:23.000 The willingness of Jacob turned in to the nation of Israel to go build something.
00:11:29.000 Some of you here tonight are being called to build something new.
00:11:33.000 And this is going to speak to some of you.
00:11:35.000 Is God whispering with the Holy Spirit in your ear to start a new business?
00:11:39.000 To start a family?
00:11:41.000 That spirit of Jacob of, here I am.
00:11:44.000 Here I am, Lord.
00:11:45.000 I'm going to build something new.
00:11:46.000 Now my favorite one, because this is most of you, is Moses.
00:11:52.000 Moses had it all.
00:11:54.000 He had a comfortable life.
00:11:55.000 He got along with his father-in-law, Jethro.
00:11:58.000 He was living in Midian.
00:12:00.000 He was living the high life.
00:12:01.000 And he all of a sudden stumbles upon a burning bush.
00:12:05.000 And his life was not easy after that.
00:12:07.000 He had to lead, without a doubt, the least impressive group of people in the history of the ancient world, the Hebrews.
00:12:13.000 God bless them, but they complain all the time and they were slaves to be a great nation.
00:12:18.000 And what did Moses say?
00:12:20.000 It's one of the most powerful scriptures.
00:12:23.000 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest, the Midian.
00:12:27.000 He had it all.
00:12:28.000 Imagine, some of you right now are how Moses was.
00:12:30.000 You got a good business?
00:12:33.000 You don't speak out about politics.
00:12:35.000 You got lots of friends.
00:12:37.000 You go to a country club.
00:12:38.000 You're well-liked.
00:12:40.000 You're Moses.
00:12:40.000 I'm good.
00:12:41.000 Everything's right.
00:12:43.000 But maybe God's whispering in your ear.
00:12:45.000 Are you ready?
00:12:46.000 Are you ready?
00:12:47.000 Are you ready to leave comfort and go on an adventure?
00:12:51.000 Are you ready to leave the nice pleasantries?
00:12:54.000 Guess what?
00:12:55.000 None of that stuff matters.
00:12:56.000 Country clubs, going on nice vacations, and wealth.
00:13:00.000 You know what matters more?
00:13:01.000 Eternity matters a lot more than that.
00:13:04.000 Moses says, Here I am.
00:13:33.000 At that moment, Moses was saying, alright God, I'm going to leave the cushy job.
00:13:39.000 I understand that if I speak out for my faith or speak out politically, I might lose my job.
00:13:45.000 But here I am.
00:13:47.000 Comfort and Christianity sometimes come to a head.
00:13:52.000 In fact, we are called to get uncomfortable as believers and Christians.
00:13:58.000 If you are comfortable, you're not doing Christianity right.
00:14:03.000 Then Samuel, this one applies to a lot of you.
00:14:05.000 I love this one.
00:14:06.000 Samuel, now a boy, was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli.
00:14:11.000 He was a child.
00:14:12.000 He was young.
00:14:14.000 Turning Point USA students, where are you guys?
00:14:17.000 You guys are all over the place here.
00:14:18.000 This one is for you because some of you might say, I'm too young to be used by God.
00:14:23.000 This is a here I am thing.
00:14:24.000 Now Samuel says, here I am the most of any person in the Bible.
00:14:27.000 He keeps on saying it.
00:14:28.000 Here I am!
00:14:30.000 The eagerness of the youth activist.
00:14:32.000 It reminds me of seeing these Turning Point USA kids running all over the place here.
00:14:37.000 All ages, all backgrounds can be used by God.
00:14:40.000 Let me say that again.
00:14:41.000 All ages, all backgrounds can be used by God.
00:14:43.000 And Samuel, of course, was then led, and the Lord said, Samuel!
00:14:46.000 Samuel roars and went down, and he says, Here I am, for you called me.
00:14:52.000 And Samuel was then called to amazing and great things.
00:14:55.000 How about Isaiah?
00:14:56.000 Isaiah, of course, one of the major prophets.
00:14:59.000 Isaiah literally means God is my redeemer.
00:15:01.000 I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send and who will go for us?
00:15:04.000 Then he said, Here I am.
00:15:06.000 Send me.
00:15:07.000 And through Isaiah, we get the fulfillment of the promise that is Jesus Christ.
00:15:11.000 And finally, my favorite, because this one applies to every single person, which is Ananias.
00:15:19.000 You might say, Who is this?
00:15:20.000 Ananias.
00:15:22.000 Ananias is a character in the book of Acts written by the apostle Luke.
00:15:27.000 He continues by saying in Acts 9.10, it's incredible.
00:15:31.000 So an angel of the Lord, it's a lot of angels going around here, and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias, and he says, Hanani, here I am.
00:15:39.000 Now here's some context.
00:15:40.000 I'm going to read it.
00:15:41.000 The Lord said to him, rise and go to the street called Straight, the house of Judas.
00:15:45.000 Look for a man of Tarsus named Saul.
00:15:49.000 For behold, he is praying and he has seen a vision of a man named Ananias.
00:15:52.000 Come in and lay hands on him.
00:15:53.000 When Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
00:15:58.000 Okay, here's the context.
00:16:00.000 Saul was a bad dude.
00:16:02.000 He was not doing good.
00:16:03.000 And God called Ananias to go and confront him.
00:16:07.000 And he's like, I don't want to do that!
00:16:10.000 He's mean!
00:16:12.000 But he was more than mean.
00:16:13.000 He was going and killing people.
00:16:14.000 How many of you here tonight know somebody that you need to confront that is doing evil?
00:16:20.000 How many of you here tonight know a professor that is abusing their authority?
00:16:24.000 How many of you know tonight a neighbor that is just terrorizing people based on politics?
00:16:29.000 How many of you know a weak pastor that needs to be confronted by a believer and say either you need to lead, follow, or get out of the way and preach the word or not be a pastor any longer?
00:16:46.000 Now, whether it be Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Samuel, Isaiah, Ananias, the here I am is when legendary things happen in the Bible.
00:16:57.000 Six people that are some of the most important instruments for God's will here on earth.
00:17:03.000 And I'm just going to close with this.
00:17:04.000 That is my phrase going into 2024 I'm going to use.
00:17:07.000 I hope it is for you as well.
00:17:09.000 Because every single one of you need to say, God, I am willing.
00:17:12.000 Use me.
00:17:13.000 Use me for your purposes.
00:17:15.000 Liberty is God's idea, not man's idea.
00:17:18.000 We will never allow the church to be called non-essential again, as they allowed strip clubs and marijuana dispensaries and convenience stores to remain open.
00:17:29.000 We believe in a strong church.
00:17:31.000 Now, for those of you that are really wonky, one of my board members came up to me and said, It's really bold, naming a whole thing after yourself.
00:17:44.000 What are you talking about?
00:17:46.000 Well, Kirk means church in Scotland, and Charlie means strong man or strong church.
00:17:52.000 Strong church.
00:17:52.000 So I didn't do that intentionally, for the record.
00:17:55.000 But we do need a strong church, everybody.
00:17:57.000 And it starts with all of you.
00:18:00.000 Look, for those of you that are not yet believers, it's very simple.
00:18:03.000 You're going to have a court date, we all die, and you're all going to meet the supreme judge of the universe.
00:18:09.000 Justice is getting what you deserve, which is going to a not so good place.
00:18:13.000 We're all sinners and we all fall short of the glory of God.
00:18:16.000 But thanks to the cross, a perfect loving God who came down in human form, human flesh, lived a perfect life and died for us so that we could live forever.
00:18:25.000 At that moment, we're about to get that sentencing into eternal damnation.
00:18:29.000 Somebody says, no, no, no.
00:18:30.000 I know him.
00:18:32.000 I know her.
00:18:34.000 Welcome to eternal life.
00:18:36.000 You have an opportunity.
00:18:37.000 The gospel in four words is Jesus took my place.
00:18:39.000 Three words is him for me.
00:18:41.000 Two words is substitutionary atonement.
00:18:43.000 And one word is grace.
00:18:44.000 Grace you cannot earn.
00:18:47.000 Grace you do not pay for.
00:18:50.000 It doesn't matter how much money you give to the hospital.
00:18:52.000 It doesn't even matter how many doors you knock on for Trump.
00:18:54.000 And I hope you knock on a lot of doors for him.
00:18:59.000 You can't earn it.
00:19:00.000 It doesn't matter if you're a good person.
00:19:01.000 It doesn't matter if you have always done the best you can.
00:19:04.000 Because what's different about Christianity is that it's a gift for all of humanity to receive regardless of everything that we have done.
00:19:11.000 And your life will be transformed.
00:19:14.000 You will be born again.
00:19:17.000 Grace is not earned.
00:19:18.000 It is given by a God who loves you and wants to spend eternity with you.
00:19:22.000 It is the most important decision you can make in your life.
00:19:27.000 Here I am.
00:19:29.000 God bless you guys.
00:19:30.000 Thank you so much.
00:19:30.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
