Summary

We need to play offense on social issues, according to a recent analysis, one of the issues that was the most decisive for President Trump on the 2016 election, and that is the transgender issue. The American Principles Project President, Terry Schilling, joins me to talk about why we should play offense and why we need to stop playing defense on the trans issue and start playing offense. Charlie and I talk about how important it was for the Trump campaign to have two ads that took the issue to the next level and won over the American people on the issue of transgender rights and gender identity. I hope you enjoy this episode, and remember, it's the economy, stupid, not the economy. It's the family, stupid! It's not the family that s the problem, it s the family stupid. 00:01:12.000 We need to recognize that when we played offense on social issues, according to an analysis, one of the issues that was the most decisive for President Trump, can we get the advertisement please?
00:01:25.000 There were two of them, Ryan.
00:01:26.000 There was A and B, and Susie Wiles and James Blair and the whole team, they deserve such credit because this was such a good ad and they trust their instinct, was Trump, Kamala Harris is for they, them, Donald Trump is for you.
00:01:39.000 There were two ads and they were terrific.
00:01:42.000 Here to discuss how we need to play offense on the trans issue and how it actually won us favor with the American people.
00:01:48.000 Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project.
00:01:51.000 Terry, welcome to the program.
00:01:52.000 Terry, without, and I have to give credit, without Matt Walsh, I think Matt Walsh is the Moses of the reality movement when it comes to the trans jihadis.
00:02:05.000 Because we were in the wilderness thinking that this was going to go the way of the whole gay marriage thing.
00:02:11.000 That it was just, it was an inevitability.
00:02:13.000 We were going to lose on it.
00:02:15.000 And however, that was a miscalculation.
00:02:17.000 And Matt Walsh and you and others led us back to reality.
00:02:20.000 Now we're playing offense.
00:02:22.000 Terry, what's going on?
00:02:23.000 Well, thanks so much, Charlie.
00:02:25.000 And you know what?
00:02:26.000 It's the family, stupid, right?
00:02:28.000 I mean, we've been hearing this for so long.
00:02:30.000 It's the economy, stupid.
00:02:31.000 And Republicans followed suit and they refused to talk about any of these issues until Donald Trump comes along.
00:02:40.000 Charlie, Matt Walsh has been so instrumental in this movement.
00:02:43.000 I've been meeting with legislators and politicians for some time, showing them the polling, all the nerd stuff for how this stuff moves the electorate.
00:02:51.000 But Matt Walsh added so many brilliant arguments.
00:02:55.000 He added humor to this entire debate.
00:02:58.000 But on top of all that, he had the distribution.
00:03:01.000 He had the huge network to get this out, and he helped mainstream this in a way that groups like I could only dream of.
00:03:08.000 But I just go back.
00:03:10.000 Donald Trump won the popular vote for the first time since 2004, the other election where cultural issues were at the front and center of the American people's minds going into the polling booth.
00:03:22.000 So if this doesn't show people that these issues are winners when Democrats go crazy and start teaching kids that Men can have babies and that your daughter now has to compete against a 6'4", 250-pound man in her volleyball league.
00:03:37.000 I think these issues are going to be around for quite some time.
00:03:41.000 This is the second ad.
00:03:43.000 By the way, the reason that Charlemagne, who's a very popular morning drive-time guy in New York, the Breakfast Club, very popular guy, the reason that he's in this ad is because he saw the original ad during NFL football.
00:03:56.000 So this is the second one.
00:03:58.000 Let's play cut 349.
00:04:00.000 I'm going to support taxpayer-funded sex changes for prisoners.
00:04:03.000 Surgery.
00:04:05.000 For prisoners.
00:04:06.000 For prisoners.
00:04:07.000 Every transgender person.
00:04:09.000 Inmate in the prison system would have access.
00:04:12.000 Hell no, I don't want my taxpayer dollars going to that.
00:04:14.000 Kamala supports transgender sex changes in jail with our money.
00:04:18.000 Kamala even supports letting biological men compete against our girls and their sports.
00:04:24.000 Kamala is for they-them.
00:04:25.000 President Trump is for you.
00:04:28.000 I mean, it's a master class.
00:04:29.000 The team at the Trump campaign, they trusted their gut because, as you know, Terry, the D.C. consultants, they only want you to talk about high stock markets, which is fine.
00:04:38.000 But think about it.
00:04:39.000 It was illegal immigration, plus trans, plus the pronoun speech police, and the follow-up of the incorporates the black people don't necessarily need to vote for either side or vote for blue with a popular radio host.
00:04:55.000 We were so attacked, Terry Schilling, for going into culture war issues.
00:04:59.000 However, is it possible the culture war won Donald Trump the White House?
00:05:04.000 It's not just possible.
00:05:06.000 This is what happened, Charlie.
00:05:08.000 It's the sex changes for kids, stupid.
00:05:11.000 It's the men and girls sports, stupid.
00:05:13.000 It's the porn in our elementary school, stupid.
00:05:16.000 It's the investigating parents as domestic terrorists, stupid.
00:05:20.000 This isn't that hard to understand.
00:05:21.000 It was the family.
00:05:23.000 It was the culture that won this election for Donald Trump.
00:05:25.000 But Charlie, the thing is, Donald Trump gets the credit.
00:05:29.000 He is the first presidential candidate since 2004 to put the family, to put the Democrats' extremism on cultural issues at the forefront of this campaign.
00:05:40.000 Charlie, you and I have been talking about this stuff for so long and no one else would champion it.
00:05:45.000 It had to be Donald Trump.
00:05:46.000 He's an absolute genius.
00:05:48.000 He's a maniac, but he's a total genius, and I love him.
00:05:52.000 The family movement, here's what we're going to be doing, Charlie, is APP, and we need the entire family movement on board to be his bulldogs.
00:06:00.000 We need to rip apart, rip to shreds anyone on the inside that's trying to stop this agenda or to criticize him.
00:06:07.000 We need to be bulldogs for President Trump and bulldogs for his pro-family agenda, which is incredibly robust.
00:06:12.000 Yes, and so, again, nature is so healing in some ways because people are getting back to first principles of how we do not want all of this extreme nonsense.
00:06:23.000 So let's reinforce this, though.
00:06:25.000 Terry, Kamala Harris, who now is going to be going down as a loser like Hillary Clinton, they thought they could tap dance around from these social issues.
00:06:36.000 How does this apply for future elections?
00:06:39.000 Well, here's what's interesting, Charlie, is that you're seeing some Democrats try to move the needle.
00:06:45.000 They are saying things like, we need to moderate on these positions.
00:06:49.000 We need to change our policy priorities here.
00:06:52.000 We cannot let them get away with it.
00:06:54.000 We have to hold their feet to the fire.
00:06:57.000 And you're starting to see the Democratic base, the crazy transgender activists and their lobbyists, they are now trying to hold these guys and hold them accountable and kick them out of the party.
00:07:07.000 We need to ratchet up this division within the Democratic Party until they become sane on it, until they stop trying to push sex issues on kids.
00:07:16.000 We need to maximize the political opportunity here because the American people are obviously behind us on all of these trans issues.
00:07:24.000 Yeah, so what is now your hope, Terry, for this incoming Trump administration to deliver victories for the pro-family agenda?
00:07:33.000 Well, President Trump has been good on all of these pro-family issues since he got elected in 2016.
00:07:39.000 He's made three very specific policy priorities that he put into the RNC platform.
00:07:45.000 Saving girls sports, getting rid of men all across the country, banning taxpayer funding of sex change procedures for minors.
00:07:52.000 He can do all of these through executive orders.
00:07:54.000 And the third is defunding these woke DEI and transgender programming in schools.
00:08:01.000 We are going to be supporting him every single day, defending him in the press, defending him in the public to make sure that this gets done.
00:08:08.000 We just have to help him shepherd this through and defend him from all the nasty attacks he's going to get.
00:08:14.000 I completely and totally agree with all of that.
00:08:16.000 So in closing, Terry, name some names of some all-stars you want to see in the White House.
00:08:22.000 Just throw them out there for the audience.
00:08:24.000 Who do you want to see?
00:08:26.000 Sarah Huckabee.
00:08:27.000 I'd love to see Jim Banks.
00:08:29.000 I know he just got elected to the Senate.
00:08:31.000 You know, Elise Stefanik.
00:08:33.000 Holy cow.
00:08:34.000 Ambassador to the UN. That's fantastic.
00:08:37.000 Charlie, you need to go in the administration.
00:08:39.000 I don't know.
00:08:39.000 You're probably more powerful outside.
00:08:40.000 I am not.
00:08:40.000 I am not.
00:08:41.000 No, no, no.
00:08:42.000 But think about it.
00:08:42.000 I'm not going in.
00:08:43.000 I'm not in relationships.
00:08:44.000 But think about it.
00:08:45.000 You want me on the outside, Terry.
00:08:46.000 You want me to be able to hold people accountable, set the pace, right?
00:08:50.000 Examine what's going on, speak freely, be able to travel the country, rally support.
00:08:54.000 There is a role for some outsiders to be able to live in harmony with an administration.
00:08:59.000 But I appreciate the compliment.
00:09:01.000 So please keep going, Terry.
00:09:03.000 Listen, I would really love, and this is a little bit premature because I think she's on board with it, but I would really love to see Tiffany Justice as the Secretary of Education.
00:09:12.000 I think she would do a phenomenal job.
00:09:14.000 She's got the pulse of all the moms across the country.
00:09:18.000 I think she'd be really good at Department of Education.
00:09:21.000 Well, I love it.
00:09:22.000 Terry, thank you for your great work.
00:09:23.000 As always, American Principles Project.
00:09:25.000 Please plug it one last time for our audience.

00:09:41.000 Thanks for getting involved in these elections.
00:09:43.000 We've got a long, long way ahead of us, and we've got to get to victory.

00:10:53.000 Some phenomenal news, everybody.
00:10:55.000 Leaked by CNN. I didn't leak it.
00:10:57.000 But it's really good news.
00:11:00.000 Stephen Miller, who is one of the smartest people I have ever met.
00:11:08.000 He is as sharp as a pocket knife.
00:11:14.000 This guy is as good as it gets.
00:11:16.000 And he is loyal to the president and his agenda.
00:11:19.000 Has now been named, according to CNN, And I can neither confirm or deny this news.
00:11:26.000 As the deputy chief of staff for policy.
00:11:30.000 Everybody, this is as good as it gets.
00:11:34.000 It's as good as it gets.
00:11:37.000 Stephen Miller understands the Trump agenda incredibly.
00:11:43.000 This is a perfect compliment to Susie Wiles.
00:11:46.000 So think about it.
00:11:46.000 You get Stephen Miller.
00:11:48.000 You get Susie Wiles.
00:11:51.000 You get Tom Homan.
00:11:53.000 I mean, this is an all-star team.
00:11:55.000 You could not have dreamed a better individual to be involved in the intimate details here.
00:12:02.000 And by the way, Stephen Miller, he knows every little nook and cranny.
00:12:07.000 If you are wondering if President Trump was committed to fulfilling the mandate, look at these selections.
00:12:14.000 In fact, I want to get a piece of tape here of Stephen Miller speaking because he is great on television.
00:12:21.000 He understands the intricacies and the details.
00:12:24.000 He knows what it is going to take to put together and marshal the resources to staff the federal government.
00:12:34.000 It is the momentum that we are seeing right now.
00:12:39.000 You know what Stephen Miller said at the Madison Square Garden rally?
00:12:42.000 America is for Americans and Americans only.
00:12:46.000 It's not controversial.
00:12:50.000 Everybody, when you have a senior staff that is assembled like this, that means the voters are going to get what the voters selected.
00:12:59.000 This is not complicated, by the way.
00:13:00.000 And you know, the media, they're trying to make it seems up there's some secret agenda.
00:13:03.000 No, no, no.
00:13:04.000 You know what the agenda is?
00:13:05.000 It's what the voters wanted.
00:13:07.000 It's what you guys say that you stood for.
00:13:09.000 Democracy will, you know, consent to the governed will to people.
00:13:12.000 That is the only thing that is going to happen.
00:13:16.000 That's it.
00:13:17.000 There is no kind of shadow agenda.
00:13:19.000 There is no kind of secret.
00:13:21.000 No, no, no.
00:13:21.000 It's very simple.
00:13:23.000 They're going to get.
00:13:25.000 What they voted for.
00:13:26.000 The government works for us.
00:13:28.000 And this right here, this Stephen Miller selection, I could not be more enthusiastic about.
00:13:33.000 We're waiting for this tape here.
00:13:34.000 But Blake, talk about Stephen Miller.
00:13:37.000 Do you agree with me that this is a good choice?
00:13:40.000 Yeah, I mean, Stephen Miller, he's a classic pick.
00:13:43.000 He's one of the guys who was there at the Trump White House from the start, 2016.
00:13:47.000 He came in.
00:13:49.000 He was on the staff of Jeff Sessions, where he was a guy who was sounding the alarm about immigration and the specific flaws in immigration policy from the very start of the Trump campaign.
00:14:01.000 So, so much of what we think of As the Trump agenda on immigration, what we need to fix, what we need to change, a lot of that is stuff that he helped outline nearly a decade ago.
00:14:12.000 And he's been around ever since then, always pushing the same thing.
00:14:16.000 There's always been people trying to box him out, sabotage him.
00:14:19.000 He just kept going.
00:14:20.000 And really, especially since the Biden administration took over, he's really Honed his craft in a lot of areas.
00:14:27.000 So he ran America First Legal.
00:14:29.000 He started getting involved in, okay, how do we undercut the DEI menace?
00:14:33.000 How do we help promote free speech in the private sector?
00:14:37.000 So now we have Miller where he's still good on immigration, but he's going to be good on so many of those other political questions that have become so important to our movement over the past five years.
00:14:49.000 Okay, so let's get to one of these pieces of tape here.
00:14:52.000 Let's go to 353 of Stephen Miller.
00:14:55.000 Day one.
00:14:56.000 Yes, all these criminal migrants that have been flooded in the country are going to be the first to get thrown out of here.
00:15:01.000 I mean, you've seen case after case these heartbreaking tragedies.
00:15:05.000 Those ones are going to get found and deported first.
00:15:07.000 And look at this Venezuelan gang.
00:15:09.000 You have a Venezuelan gang that is taking over entire apartment buildings in Aurora, Colorado.
00:15:15.000 And that's responsible, by the way, for some of the most heinous crimes that have happened all over the United States.
00:15:21.000 I mean, look, this is as good as it gets.
00:15:22.000 You could not have selected somebody who understands what Trump voters voted for and then has the intellect, the capacity, the wherewithal, the ability, the stamina.
00:15:35.000 I mean, this is as good as it gets everybody.
00:15:38.000 And he has the fortitude.
00:15:40.000 You know, some people have said, well, you know, people are loyal to President Trump, but they don't know how to navigate government.
00:15:46.000 Stephen Miller understands all of it.
00:15:49.000 All of it.
00:15:50.000 Could not be happier.
00:15:51.000 And he's also a great person, great family, great wife.
00:15:54.000 He really gets it.
00:15:56.000 So, by the way, as we're here live on air, the momentum is going.
00:16:01.000 Katie Miller is terrific.
00:16:02.000 That is a power couple if I've ever seen one.
00:16:05.000 You got Stephen Miller, you got Tom Homan, Susie Wiles.
00:16:09.000 The mandate is being fulfilled.
00:16:14.000 Let me ask you a question.
00:16:15.000 Do you think our country is going in the right direction, or does it feel like everything is falling apart?
00:16:19.000 If you're feeling alarmed, you're not alone.
00:16:21.000 In fact, Americans from all walks of life have taken action to prepare for whatever is coming next.
00:16:26.000 And that starts with an emergency food supply.
00:16:29.000 Storing food in your home is the right thing to do because we're living in wild times, which explains why so many people are preparing.
00:16:36.000 Right now, you can get ready to with a three-month emergency food kit from MyPatriotSupply.
00:16:42.000 It comes with delicious foods like creamy Storganoff, Honey wheat bread and mushroom rice pilaf.

00:17:11.000 Okay, email us, as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:17:14.000 I want to play just one more piece of tape here of the great, legendary Stephen Miller.
00:17:19.000 This guy's going to be, like, the third most important person in the White House, second or third post, according to CNN. Play cut 354.
00:17:26.000 I want you to think for a minute.
00:17:28.000 About the decades of abuse that has been heaped upon the good people of this nation.
00:17:34.000 Their jobs looted and stolen from them and shipped to Mexico, Asia, and foreign countries.
00:17:40.000 The lives of their loved ones ripped away from them by illegal aliens, criminal gangs, and thugs who don't belong in this country.
00:17:50.000 I'm not just saying that.
00:17:51.000 You've read the stories.
00:17:52.000 It happens every day.
00:17:53.000 You read one of these heartbreaking headlines.
00:17:56.000 Who's going to stand up for our daughters?
00:17:58.000 Who's going to stand up for the girls of America, the women of America, the families of America?
00:18:02.000 Who's going to stand up and say, the cartels are gone!
00:18:06.000 The criminal migrants are gone!
00:18:08.000 The gangs are gone!
00:18:10.000 America is for Americans and Americans only!
00:18:13.000 It's as good as it gets.
00:18:15.000 Joining us now is Kurt Schlichter, great American and author of The Attack and senior columnist at thetownhall.com.
00:18:22.000 Kurt, I'm still not off the high of this last week.
00:18:25.000 Where were you when?
00:18:27.000 And just walk us through the historical significance of all this.
00:18:32.000 Well, first of all, Charlie, thank you for having me on on Veterans Day.
00:18:35.000 Gotta represent for the United States Army the greatest engine of human freedom in human history.
00:18:41.000 And I owe you an apology.
00:18:44.000 I wrote a town hall column today about the heroes and the zeros of the election.
00:18:47.000 I was running up against my word count.
00:18:50.000 I didn't include you and the great people at Turning Point USA. That's okay.
00:18:55.000 Thank you so, so much for helping to save my country.
00:18:58.000 No apology needed.
00:19:00.000 Well, thank you, Kurt.
00:19:01.000 We worked hard and we played a small little role in our little corner.
00:19:04.000 We're honored to do it.
00:19:06.000 And Kurt, so you're a historian.
00:19:08.000 You're a wicked smart guy.
00:19:10.000 It's a pinch me moment.
00:19:12.000 It really is.
00:19:14.000 Am I correct?
00:19:16.000 Because it's almost like too good to be true.
00:19:19.000 Seven battleground states, popular vote winner.
00:19:21.000 This mandate, Kurt Schlichter.
00:19:23.000 Charlie, it's the Faramir and Boromir moment where they beat back the orcs and say, today is a good day.
00:19:32.000 And today is a good day.
00:19:33.000 We're going to have bad days ahead.
00:19:34.000 We're going to have tough days ahead.
00:19:36.000 We're going to have challenges ahead.
00:19:37.000 This fight isn't over.
00:19:38.000 The fight for freedom is never over.
00:19:41.000 But today, today is a good day.
00:19:44.000 The sun's shining.
00:19:46.000 President Trump has clearly understood what he needs to do.
00:19:50.000 I love that he's got Susie Wiles in there as the chief of staff.
00:19:53.000 She deserves it.
00:19:54.000 She is smart.
00:19:56.000 And you know what's great, Charlie?
00:19:57.000 The great thing about Susie Wiles is I wouldn't know her if I tripped over her.
00:20:03.000 I don't know what she looks like.
00:20:05.000 She didn't make it about herself.
00:20:07.000 She made it about her job, president, and her country.
00:20:09.000 That's what we want, though, right?
00:20:10.000 Unbelievable.
00:20:11.000 By the way, she is a humble servant and a sweet person, and she is tough.
00:20:16.000 You don't want to come against her.
00:20:17.000 She is tough.
00:20:18.000 You and I came against her when we were trying to get rid of Rona McDaniel that first time, and she beat us.
00:20:24.000 And then when Rona became a liability, she cut bait.
00:20:29.000 I love it.
00:20:30.000 And yet, to Susie's great credit, she saw that Rana was in the way of Donald Trump's victory, and...
00:20:38.000 Adi da Verci, Via Candios, and we got a much better RNC, Laura Trump and Michael Watley.
00:20:45.000 Can we talk about that?
00:20:46.000 Can we talk about that, Kurt?
00:20:47.000 Because I think that Susie and Trump's removal of Rana at the time helped pave the way for this momentum throughout the year.
00:20:57.000 I don't know that if Rana would have stayed, people would have donated or trusted the RNC at all.
00:21:02.000 And it actually would have...
00:21:04.000 Created major leakage or bleed with the Trump movement.
00:21:08.000 Oh, absolutely.
00:21:10.000 Look, we wouldn't have had...
00:21:11.000 The legal effort this time was incredible.
00:21:13.000 I've told you the story about how, you know, Rick Grinnell asked me the day after the 2020 election, can you get out to Nevada?
00:21:20.000 And I showed up and there was one RNC lawyer, great lawyer, brought his dog, but one lawyer?
00:21:26.000 Are you kidding me?
00:21:27.000 This time, they're ready.
00:21:29.000 They're filing suit.
00:21:31.000 They got Harmeet Dillon and her team out there kicking tail.
00:21:35.000 It was incredible.
00:21:37.000 Laura Trump and Michael Watley, they deserve a huge amount of credit.
00:21:42.000 And you know what?
00:21:43.000 Take that, Mark Cuban.
00:21:45.000 Take that.
00:21:47.000 Yeah, it turns out he doesn't have as much sway as he thought.
00:21:51.000 Kurt, what are some of the macro lessons here?
00:21:53.000 What was the message the American people were sending us in this triumph?
00:21:58.000 I think what the American people want is to go back to normality.
00:22:02.000 And what normality is, is not women having to have a boy pretending to be a girl in their locker room.
00:22:10.000 It's not being afraid to speak up because you believe in...
00:22:15.000 You know, Christianity.
00:22:17.000 It is not economic decline.
00:22:22.000 It is not being humiliated by foreign potentates.
00:22:25.000 I'm going to write about this in Town Hall on Thursday.
00:22:28.000 We want to make it the 80s again.
00:22:30.000 And when I say the 80s, growing up then, you had a feeling of optimism.
00:22:35.000 The economy was booming.
00:22:36.000 And I think the economy is central for Donald Trump.
00:22:39.000 I think everything depends on getting the economy right.
00:22:43.000 Immigration is important.
00:22:44.000 Rebuilding military is important.
00:22:46.000 Getting rid of racist DEI nonsense is important.
00:22:49.000 But everything hinges on the economy because that is what I think people voted on.
00:22:54.000 They want to be prosperous.
00:22:55.000 They want to be secure.
00:22:57.000 They want to live like Americans should.
00:23:00.000 I refuse to give the next generation a worse America than the one I inherited.
00:23:07.000 Absolutely, Kurt.
00:23:08.000 And what does this mean for the Republican establishment that was quietly cheering for Kamala because they knew that the Trump movement would now be permanently into the Republican infrastructure?
00:23:24.000 There is no removing it now.
00:23:26.000 What does it mean for the Republican establishment?
00:23:29.000 Well, I think we've seen it with John Cornyn, John Thune, who are both very much establishment guys, coming out and saying, hey, I'm going to support the president.
00:23:38.000 We're going to work, you know, five-day work weeks instead of three-day work weeks to get this agenda through.
00:23:45.000 I think they understand what's going on.
00:23:47.000 And I think Donald Trump needs to be prepared to go full Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder on any Republican who refuses to get on board.
00:23:59.000 We're not going to tolerate the nonsense anymore, Charlie.
00:24:02.000 The American people have spoken.
00:24:03.000 They want action.
00:24:05.000 And we're seeing action from the president.
00:24:07.000 Every day we got another appointment.
00:24:09.000 Yesterday it's Tom Holman.
00:24:10.000 Today it's Stephen Miller.
00:24:12.000 My gosh, I'm just waiting for Rick Grinnell to get secretary of state, man.
00:24:16.000 Watch the heads explode as we put in a pro-American, brilliant diplomat to actually advocate for American interests overseas instead of the interests of a bunch of foreigners.
00:24:31.000 It's going to be glorious.
00:24:33.000 So, Kurt, let's now go another level deeper, and I think this is very important.
00:24:39.000 What are the potential pitfalls of lessons we need to learn from 16 or 17 in transition that we can't repeat, that are not cliche, that are things that we need to consider as we're getting closer to high noon on January the 20th?
00:24:54.000 Charlie, the most important thing for the president to know is not to allow artificial norms, and let's get out the air quotes, that apply only to conservatives to limit his ability to act.
00:25:10.000 He has been invested with a moral mandate and with formal power under the Constitution.
00:25:15.000 He should use both.
00:25:17.000 He should aggressively move forward to keep the promises he made.
00:25:22.000 He has to keep the promises.
00:25:25.000 And he understood that last time, but we need to remember that.
00:25:30.000 He said, I'm going to end taxes on tips.
00:25:34.000 He needs to end taxes on tips.
00:25:36.000 He promised mass deportations.
00:25:38.000 He needs to do mass deportations.
00:25:41.000 He needs to shut the border.
00:25:42.000 He needs to do what he said he's going to do.
00:25:45.000 And to do that requires a team of people who are on board and loyal.
00:25:50.000 And he's already getting that, and that's great.
00:25:53.000 But he also needs to apply a whip and a chair to the federal bureaucracy.
00:25:57.000 The federal bureaucracy is not a fourth branch of government, Charlie.
00:26:00.000 It is to make the will of the chief executive elected by the American people, by a majority of the national popular vote, which doesn't actually exist, but we'll cite it just for fun, to bring that to fruition.
00:26:15.000 And that's what we expect them to do.
00:26:16.000 But look at this horrible behavior we've seen.
00:26:20.000 Can you believe a federal official actually said, if they have a Trump sign in the front yard, you FEMA people will walk on by?
00:26:30.000 And that's not the biggest scandal in the news right now.
00:26:37.000 It's not the mainstream media because they agree with it.
00:26:40.000 Well, that has to end.
00:26:42.000 So closing thoughts here, Kurt, with one minute remaining.
00:26:46.000 The Democrat Party, where do they go from here?
00:26:49.000 What is your guess and your estimate of where the Democrats try to navigate from here?
00:26:54.000 A smart, objective party would sit down and figure out what they did wrong.
00:26:58.000 The problem, Charlie, and you and I have talked about this before, is that the kind of woke, cultural, Marxism, leftist nonsense they have is what fills them up where normal people fill it up with faith, family, and the flag.
00:27:15.000 It's a religion to them.
00:27:17.000 It's very, very hard to lose your religion.
00:27:20.000 That's why it can't possibly be their own fault.
00:27:23.000 They're literally doing the Seymour Skinner, no, it's the children who are wrong meme.
00:27:28.000 Okay?
00:27:29.000 They cannot allow themselves to see it because that will bring into question everything they deeply believe on a nearly spiritual level.
00:27:39.000 So they're going to spin their wheels for a while, not forever.
00:27:43.000 Eventually, some people will get some introspection and start appealing to people again.
00:27:48.000 You remember Bill Clinton, who came out of the Reagan era, a winner because he broke with Democrats on crime.
00:27:56.000 He said, you know what?
00:27:57.000 Criminals are bad and should be punished.
00:27:59.000 And suddenly normal Americans would trust him again, where they knew they couldn't trust the Democrats during the 80s.
00:28:06.000 So we'll see that eventually.
00:28:07.000 They'll come back eventually because they always do.
00:28:10.000 But it's going to be hard for them.
00:28:12.000 And I think we should laugh at them as they suffer.
00:28:14.000 I completely agree.
00:28:17.000 Kurt, excellent work as always.
00:28:18.000 Plug your book, 10 seconds please.
00:28:20.000 The attack.
00:28:21.000 It's a terrifying novel of terrorism in America.
00:28:25.000 You should check it out.
00:28:27.000 The threat is even greater now that we have President Trump in.
00:28:31.000 Not because he's not going to try and protect America, but because enemies around the world realize he's a threat and they want to take him down.
00:28:38.000 Get the attack.
00:28:39.000 It's on Amazon.
00:28:40.000 You won't regret it.
00:28:42.000 Thank you so much.
00:28:42.000 I love it, Kurt.

00:30:00.000 So email us your thoughts, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:30:03.000 I believe we still have Blake with us.
00:30:04.000 I want to play some more pieces of tape here, though, that I think are critically important.
00:30:09.000 Let's go here.
00:30:10.000 ABC News.
00:30:11.000 Donald Trump got one out of every three voters of color.
00:30:15.000 And Charlemagne can't even believe this.
00:30:18.000 I actually start with 340 and then we'll go to 351.
00:30:21.000 And this is an incredibly important point.
00:30:24.000 Our politics are realigning away from race and they are emphasizing class and values.
00:30:31.000 That is what we've always wanted.
00:30:33.000 It turns out the man that they call a Nazi, a fascist, and a racist realigned our politics away from race obsession and race fixation.
00:30:42.000 And instead, we are now emphasizing action, agency, character, and class.
00:30:49.000 Your class is far more important and should determine and dictate your politics a lot more than the melanin content in your skin.
00:30:57.000 Play cut 350, please.
00:30:59.000 Well, I think that, you know, people have different issues that they care about.
00:31:03.000 And I think that there's nobody out there that's a single-issue voter.
00:31:06.000 I think some of this is a backlash to race and gender and identity politics.
00:31:09.000 But, man, most people, they just care about keeping food on their table and keeping a roof over their head.
00:31:15.000 And I think sometimes people forget about that.
00:31:17.000 I think that they forget about, you know, the working class.
00:31:20.000 And for whatever reason, Donald Trump speaks to the grievances of the working class in a real way.
00:31:26.000 And I keep telling folks, people will forget what you did.
00:31:29.000 They'll forget what you said, but they'll never forget how you made them feel.
00:31:32.000 We'll go to the next piece of tape here, where it continues.
00:31:36.000 ABC News, Trump got one out of three every voter of color.
00:31:39.000 Play cut 351.
00:31:41.000 What do you make of the demographics here?
00:31:44.000 I mean, Trump got one out of every three voters of color.
00:31:49.000 Yeah.
00:31:49.000 No.
00:31:50.000 One out of three.
00:31:51.000 33%.
00:31:51.000 Really?
00:31:53.000 Yeah.
00:31:54.000 When you say color, you mean, like, black, brown, everything.
00:31:58.000 Well, I think that, you know, people have different issues that they care about, and I think that there's nobody out there that's a single-issue voter.
00:31:58.000 Oh.
00:32:05.000 I think some of this is a backlash to race and gender and identity politics.
00:32:09.000 But, man, most people, they just care about keeping food on their table and keeping a roof over their head.
00:32:15.000 He's not wrong.
00:32:17.000 And look, his shock and his bewilderment is important.
00:32:22.000 However, it's very important to note that Charlemagne is saying, oh yes, we're focusing on housing, grocery prices, things that actually matter.
00:32:34.000 Not just irrelevant race criteria.
00:32:37.000 Blake, your take on this, on Donald Trump and his ability to win one out of three voters of color?
00:32:42.000 Yeah, I mean, it really is a testament to the realignment effect he could have on policy questions.
00:32:50.000 I feel like for decades you had...
00:32:54.000 Republicans who would basically accept all these Democrat premises, which is that it was racist to disagree with the Democrats on things, and the only reason that people weren't voting Republican is that Republicans were too racist, basically.
00:33:09.000 This was kind of the Paul Ryan assumption.
00:33:11.000 So they would go around basically just giving lectures to voters of color, saying, like, oh, you know, I'm not actually racist.
00:33:19.000 Unsurprisingly, this didn't work.
00:33:20.000 It wasn't a very winning message.
00:33:22.000 Trump just kind of comes out like a sledgehammer and he's like, yeah, we're going to make America great again.
00:33:27.000 It's bad.
00:33:28.000 People are coming in.
00:33:29.000 They're stealing your job.
00:33:30.000 He just has this intense machismo.
00:33:34.000 He...
00:33:36.000 He lays it on very straight.
00:33:37.000 He's very blunt.
00:33:38.000 And it turns out this is a winning political message.
00:33:41.000 He doesn't concede all of this presumptive ground to the left.
00:33:46.000 He doesn't presume that the left is, like, morally superior to him, which was a very common problem for Republicans 15 years ago.
00:33:55.000 And once you stop conceding that ground, you can actually win people straight up.
00:33:59.000 And it also helped that the left just completely went off the deep end.
00:34:03.000 It got hijacked by a relatively small part of the party that just was very profoundly insane on all of these social questions.
00:34:11.000 And again, if you had this old Mitt Romney-esque thing, your attitude would be, well, you know, they're morally in the right direction and we'll catch up eventually.
00:34:20.000 And instead, you had someone who would just counterpunch and say, yeah, the left is actually super insane.
00:34:25.000 They're mutilating your kids.
00:34:26.000 They're killing babies.
00:34:28.000 When you say it very directly like that, you can win a lot of people over.
