Today on The Charlie Kirk Show, we are getting back to the federal bureaucracy and affirmative action, gone. We have Senator Mark Wayne Mullen to discuss, but I go through the latest accomplishments on just day two, recapping day one.
00:00:40.000His spirit, his love of this country, he's done an amazing job building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created, Turning Point USA. We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country.

00:01:30.000Honored to be with you guys as always.
00:01:33.000It is a rapid news day, as you would expect, as the golden era is unfolding in front of us.
00:01:39.000Between the end of our broadcast yesterday and the beginning of this broadcast, President Trump has been rapidly at work.
00:01:47.000Yesterday, President Trump did some remarkable things, and we're going to spend some time on two of them, but let's just kind of go through the list.
00:01:53.000President Trump prohibited all use of racial discrimination, or DEI, at federal contractors and universities receiving taxpayer dollars.
00:02:00.000President Trump ordered federal buildings worldwide to stop flying the pride flag, which the left had turned into a de facto second national flag around the world.
00:02:09.000President Donald Trump launched the Stargate Project yesterday.
00:02:13.000A collaboration with Silicon Valley aimed at cementing America as the global leader in emerging AI. President Trump unleashed ICE with full authority to target the criminals Joe Biden allowed to roam freely around this country who were raping and killing.
00:02:29.000President Trump granted a full and complete pardon to Ross Ulbricht, who was wrongfully given a life sentence by overzealous federal prosecutors, one that I care deeply about.
00:02:39.000Andrew would tell you, I've been fighting for Ross for years, and I hope to have Ross on the show, by the way, soon, which would be amazing, right?
00:03:19.000But let's spend our time on the earth-moving stuff.
00:03:23.000Now, the fact that President Trump went shock and awe on January 6th on the first day, it moved the Overton window so much that the media is not even emphasizing the policy changes that President Trump is making around the sacred cows, the untouchable third rails that are key components of left-wing governance.
00:03:45.000As you know on this program, we argue that during the civil rights era, there was a new constitution that was brought in.
00:03:52.000The new constitution was the Civil Rights Act.
00:03:54.000The new constitution was this super governmental new founding that thou shall not be racist.
00:04:01.000And of course on this program, we believe that racism is terrible from the pit of hell and has no place in decent and advanced society.
00:04:12.000This movement of anti-racism is bigoted at its core.
00:04:16.000The movement of anti-racism actually goes against the core colorblind promise of the United States of America.
00:04:23.000In the 1960s and 70s, we started to bring in several changes to federal laws.
00:04:29.000And believe it or not, one of which was done by executive order.
00:04:33.000Did you know that Lyndon Baines Johnson signed Executive Order 11246?
00:04:42.000Lyndon Baines Johnson signed Executive Order 11246, which mandated affirmative action rather than merit-based hiring in federal employment and contracting.
00:04:54.000Because of this, affirmative action order, affirmative action has been the pseudo law of the land in America since Lyndon Baines Johnson was president.
00:05:05.000This was not passed by an act of Congress.
00:05:08.000This was not drawn up in committee hearings.
00:05:11.000This was not something where the American people got behind it like the Civil Rights Act.
00:05:17.000No, this is something completely and fundamentally different.
00:05:19.000This was done by an act of the president.
00:05:44.000The affirmative action order required white people to be discriminated against in the federal government.
00:05:50.000This is probably the most aggressive and bold executive order ever issued by Trump in either of his terms.
00:05:57.000In political terms, it may be the bravest move by a U.S. president in half a century or more.
00:06:04.000When President Trump announced late last night was the repeal of Executive Order 1126. I just gotta be honest, this is one of the most remarkable things President Trump has ever done.
00:06:15.00011246 supposedly just tells federal contractors not to discriminate.
00:06:19.000But for more than 50 years, this order has been interpreted by the government and by the courts as requiring discrimination.
00:06:27.000You must discriminate against white people.
00:06:30.000You have to discriminate based on race.
00:07:58.000Forming of the Department of Homeland Security, President Donald Trump signing this executive order, making merit the law of the land and the custom in this country, clarifies that discrimination is illegal and orders contractors and grant recipients to not practice racial discrimination.
00:08:18.000So, just to be clear, that means every college across the country can no longer do affirmative action.
00:08:25.000That means Northup Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed Martin.
00:09:19.000We have 1,400 days to get this into enforcement through the DOJ, the Civil Rights Division, the Department of Justice, through the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Education.
00:09:32.000Even people that have been huge skeptics of President Trump are saying this is one of the most significant milestones and accomplishments of a generation.
00:09:41.000This is the shock and awe strategy, and we are now on day three.
00:09:44.000We have affirmative action out of the federal government, anybody that is attached to the federal government.

00:11:16.000Joining us now is the great senator from the state of Oklahoma, who's been terrific and was excellent in the committee hearing for Pete Hegseth, Senator Mark Wayne Mullen.
00:12:25.000It's all of our energy states, including California.
00:12:28.000People forget California is actually an energy state.
00:12:30.000When we declare it a national emergency, what it does is it puts that permit reform that we've been trying to pass in Congress for a long time, it puts it in hyperspeed where we don't have to add the permit reforms, where we just simply can bypass a lot of the stuff that is happening with pipelines.
00:12:46.000People really don't think about pipelines being...
00:12:49.000About energy, but it's one of the biggest choke points that the Biden administration put in place.
00:12:54.000One thing they did when they immediately went in is they declassified a lot of the pipelines.
00:13:00.000Instead of allowing them to run at 100% capacity, they put them at 20% on new ones.
00:13:05.000They dropped some to 50% capacity, so they changed the permitting process.
00:13:09.000It brings that back to full capacity and allows us to move the product faster.
00:13:15.000As you know, Charlie, that brings down the cost of energy when you're able to get the product to the system faster without competing on the same level.
00:13:24.000At the same time, it starts opening up public lands and where the Biden administration basically eliminated the ability to get permits on public land.
00:13:36.000It opens up Alaska again, which Alaska is a huge economic engine that the Biden administration just collapsed and killed.
00:13:43.000and then it opens up an offshore drilling to where...
00:13:47.000And keep in mind, the executive order to make it a national security issue was a way to go around the executive order that the outgoing Biden administration put in place that basically took all of our waters up to international and said there was a moratorium on offshore drilling.
00:14:04.000And the president, very smart, and I'm sure he had great people around him that was advising him on this too, said, By declaring it a national emergency, it takes it off the table and we can drill again until we get to energy independence.
00:14:18.000And when we become the exporter, it puts us in a much stronger position.
00:14:24.000What a lot of people don't realize too is we're still importing petroleum products.
00:14:42.000And the president wants to become not just the energy superpower of the planet, which we are in pace, but also for artificial intelligence, which if we want to have artificial intelligence dominance, we need to be energy independent and dominant.
00:14:58.000And we needed to use it more strategically, too.
00:15:01.000A lot of people think Saudi Arabia is being the oil capital of the world.
00:15:04.000The United States is the oil capital of the world.
00:15:06.000We have more reserves from oil, natural gas, and rare earth minerals underneath our feet.
00:15:13.000But because of the environmental movement, it has put us at a huge disadvantage.
00:15:16.000But one thing that we don't talk about, Charlie, is what Saudi Arabia, UAE... Cutter, these other countries do by setting up a sovereign wealth fund for their country by the reserves that they have.
00:15:29.000Let's think if we re-look at the way that we do public land permitting.
00:15:33.000Instead of just simply giving the permitting to the oil and gas companies, and we have a one-time fee where they get the permit, we sell it, and then they go on.
00:15:42.000What if we actually entered a partnership like you do with private land, like I do on my own private land.
00:15:47.000I control the mental rights and I get a percentage.
00:15:50.000The minerals that are pulled off the land.
00:15:52.000What if we did that with the United States on the public lands and then we started applying that 100% to our national debt and we start using the natural resources we have to pay off our national debt because you know Congress is never going to be trusted with actually being able to do our budget because we're going to be playing these games.
00:16:11.000We're going to have a 10-year balanced budget, which we've been doing 10-year balanced budgets forever and we still haven't balanced it.
00:16:32.000Are you tired of scrolling through shows on TV and finding nothing but the same mind-numbing content?
00:16:37.000Don't waste your time on that nonsense instead.
00:16:39.000Use that time to learn something new and inspiring.

00:16:59.000In it, you'll explore the design and purpose of the Constitution, the challenge it faced during the Civil War, and how it has been undermined for more than a century by progressivism and liberalism.
00:17:09.000Our country needs more Americans who can understand the Constitution and can defend the freedom of the American people against the encroachments of an increasingly large and unaccountable government.
00:17:19.000Start the Constitution 101 course today.
00:17:21.000Right now, go to charlieforhillsdale.com to enroll.
00:17:23.000There's no cost, and it's easy to get started.
00:17:46.000What does a person have to do to get a visit from ICE? Be in the country illegally, first of all.
00:17:53.000I mean, there's nothing in the immigration law that says you've got to be convicted of a serious crime to be removed under the INA. So if you're in the country illegally, ICE can visit you.
00:18:01.000But right now, as we said repeatedly, and the President Trump's been clear, we're concentrating on the worst.
00:18:07.000First, the public safety threats, the national security threats.
00:18:11.000And just yesterday, in the last 24 hours, ISIS arrested over 308 serious criminals.
00:18:21.000Some of them were sexual assault of a child.
00:18:23.000So ISIS is doing their job, and they're prioritizing, just as the president said they would.
00:18:27.000So ISIS is performing excellent right now out in the field.
00:18:30.000And they're going to continue every day.
00:18:32.000Senator, your reaction to the rapid pace at which this administration is moving when it comes to the invasion?
00:18:38.000Now, here's the craziest thing, Charlie.
00:18:41.000Keep in mind, these individuals, ICE, knew where they were at, and they were openly still walking on our street underneath the Biden administration.
00:18:49.000The Biden administration refused to pick them up.
00:18:52.000On day one, President Trump went and rounded up more serious criminals and murderers.
00:19:02.000The Biden administration did in four years.
00:19:05.000Keep in mind, these individuals were out on the streets and ICE knew exactly where they're at.
00:19:10.000That's why they were able to do it on day one.
00:19:11.000What they're also not telling there is they also went into the prisons.
00:19:16.000And ICE arrested and started the deportation of an additional 300 murderers and rapists that was in our prison systems that, once again, the Biden administration knew they were there and they chose to leave them inside the United States.
00:19:31.000It really blows your mind to think that the administration, that the outgoing president of the United States underneath Biden refused to enforce the rule of law.
00:19:41.000I heard from several border agents that I've become friends with of my trips to the border that all came back and they said the same thing I said earlier today.
00:19:50.000It's a new day in America when they're actually able to do their job.
00:19:56.000And the morale increased by a thousand percent yesterday with our border patrol just because we have a new sheriff in the White House.
00:20:06.000It looks as if things are trending towards one big, beautiful bill.
00:20:09.000I'm actually more on, I think, your side on the Senate side that two reconciliation bills, I think, would have been the better way of approaching it.
00:20:16.000If it's going to be one big, beautiful bill, what is your wisdom on how we're able to get the biggest possible legislative victory for one big, beautiful bill?
00:20:25.000Well, the president has made it very clear he wants one big, beautiful bill, which allows us to negotiate more.
00:20:31.000Now, the House is real good about bogging down on big bills.
00:20:35.000But when you start looking at the different facets that we've got to deal with in the House, and I'll use Chip Roy, for example, in Texas.
00:20:42.000Chip, you know, very important to have border control and very important to have energy.
00:20:49.000But at the same time, he's going to do something that's very difficult.
00:20:52.000He's wanting to offset SALT increase for states like New York by raising corporate taxes, which that's a nonstarter for the president, a nonstarter for me, but it's about negotiating.
00:21:04.000And so if we were to do one big bill, it allows us to negotiate a little bit more by having more pieces in there and it's got something for everybody.
00:21:12.000But I don't believe the House is going to be able to do it, so we're actually doing a contingency plan in the Senate to say if they can't do that, then we will start the two bills.
00:21:24.000And the reason why we have to do two bills in the Senate is because we can't do taxes.
00:21:29.000Taxes has to originate in the House chamber, not in the Senate.
00:21:33.000So we would have to do border, do energy, and do national security in the Senate.
00:22:32.000The failed cultural revolution of 2020 and 2021, where we were able to hold back just enough, revealed to the nation, the disgusting lower impulses of the post-modernist, post-structuralist, left-wing I don't know
00:23:04.000if the vast majority of Americans agree what President Trump is doing with January 6th.
00:23:11.000I do, but I don't think that's necessarily in the vast majority of Americans.
00:24:15.000The structural changes that are happening are phenomenal.
00:24:19.000President Donald Trump parlayed this executive order spirit into a separate and equally potent executive order, as I mentioned with the FAA. We want the best pilots and the best air traffic control.
00:24:33.000We don't care about the color of somebody's skin when they're flying the plane.
00:24:37.000We just want to make sure that they are there based on merit and competency, not...
00:24:45.000And you just think about what Joe Biden and what Barack Obama and what all of these people have had to do to bring us to this moment where President Donald Trump is just bringing back to a center, common sense, no nonsense, I don't care what names you're going to call me, policy portfolio.
00:25:46.000You want to talk about a reversal of a cultural revolution?
00:25:49.000We went from having to accept the whole trans zealotry in every major institution to the trans mafia, the purple-haired jihadis being run out in decent society.
00:26:01.000No, you're not going to be able to serve in the U.S. military if you're Jeff and you think you're Jill.
00:26:06.000No, you're not going to be able to go after our kids and gender mutilate.
00:26:09.000By the way, stay tuned on the child mutilation stuff.
00:26:59.000So when you have a political party that is race obsessed and the nation...
00:27:03.000Is exhausted with your core issue, you're building yourself into a minority political party.
00:27:09.000And as the Democrats are so obsessed with, well, we have to make sure that BIPOC people have representation or Latinx people have representation.
00:27:18.000Gotta make sure that you have the trans and the LGBTQIA2+. And meanwhile, President Trump is actually mirroring the will of the American people that say, no, why don't we even have this affirmative action guideline?
00:28:07.000And most of life is, are you willing to actually go and do it?
00:28:10.000And we have not wanted, we have had a managed decline in the 1990s and early 2000s, and up until this point.
00:28:16.000It's been a slow motion managed decline.
00:28:18.000We would rather lose the country than be called a racist.
00:28:22.000And imagine, Democrats are going to be arguing against this.
00:28:25.000The Republican Party was in fear of this.
00:28:27.000When all it means is that they get to go on TV, on news stations that nobody watches, to go be quoted in newspapers that nobody reads, to go say that the Republicans are racist.
00:29:06.000We are getting back to the center of the promise of the Founding Fathers.
00:29:11.000We're getting back to the core ethos of why this is the greatest nation in the history of the world, and it's not the greatest nation because of race politics.
00:29:16.000It's not the greatest nation because of DEI, critical race theory-inspired policy measures.
00:29:25.000This idea that you can succeed regardless of where you're from and who you are.
00:29:29.000And that is a beautiful thing and President Trump is bringing it back.
00:29:33.000Hey everybody, Charlie Kirk here with New Year's Resolutions.
00:29:36.000Many of us will vow to eat healthier, and that's a good thing.
00:29:38.000But what about your beloved pets and their nutrition?
00:29:40.000Naturopathic Dr. Dennis Black is on a mission to provide better nutrition for cats and dogs because truthfully, it's not what you are feeding your pet, it's what you are not.
00:29:49.000Which is why he created Rough Greens and Meow Greens in the first place.
00:29:53.000Bring their dead food back to life with live vitamins, minerals, probiotics, enzymes, omega oils, antioxidants, and so much more.
00:30:01.000All in their tasty formula your dog or cat will love.
00:30:05.000Improve your pet's coat, digestion, and energy and have less vet bills.
00:30:10.000Let 2025 bring a new year and a new pet.
00:31:35.000So, yeah, what is the reaction from the press corps?
00:31:39.000They can't even keep up with the pace right now from the president.
00:31:42.000What are you hearing from the American press at the kind of rapid pace of things unfolding right now?
00:31:47.000Well, Charlie, I will say the media that has been accepted to report on President Trump, the best way to describe it is murderers row.
00:31:56.000I mean, you've got some really interesting and not so friendly reporters here at the White House who have previously not been very favorable to President Trump.
00:32:04.000They have never given him any sort of fair or honest reporting.
00:32:08.000So it's going to be interesting to see the kind of dynamic once the press briefings start.
00:32:14.000I mean, I just was in the lower press offices just yesterday introducing myself, handing out my business card to the very friendly lower press that's there now in the Trump administration.
00:34:10.000And she still didn't want to call on me.
00:34:14.000Every email that I've sent, Charlie, every time I've raised my hand, all my emails go either unanswered or they're forwarded over to somebody else that eventually get deleted.
00:34:23.000So I'm excited to actually raise my hand and get called on and just ask questions and just do my basic everyday responsibilities in this role.
