Summary

Sen. John Thune is the new Senate Majority Leader, and he's in charge of the Republican majority in the United States Senate. This is a huge moment in our nation's history, and it's a moment that will have a profound effect on the direction of our country and the future of the country. Charlie and I discuss how important it is that the majority leader is someone who is willing to fight for the President's agenda and stand up for our values. We also discuss why it's important to have a new majority leader in place, and why the current one is not up to the job of being the next majority leader and why we should be worried about who the next one is going to be! This is an action packed episode, and you won't want to miss it! 00:02:10.000 We have breaking news right now.
00:02:11.000 A lot of breaking news happening on this program.
00:02:14.000 We have a new Senate Majority Leader, Senator John Thune from South Dakota.
00:02:21.000 Now, this audience did not want Senator Thune.
00:02:24.000 We were enthusiastically behind Senator Rick Scott.
00:02:27.000 And the vote totals went like this.
00:02:29.000 In the first volley of votes, Senator John Thune did not get a majority.
00:02:34.000 He received a plurality.
00:02:36.000 Then, after the second round of votes, he is Senate Majority Leader.
00:02:41.000 The first round of votes was like this.
00:02:43.000 23 for John Thune, 15 for Mr.
00:02:47.000 Cornyn, and then 13 for Rick Scott.
00:02:49.000 27 in order to pass.
00:02:51.000 A second round of voting occurred, and John Thune is now Senate Majority Leader.
00:02:57.000 29 votes to 24 votes.
00:02:58.000 Now, mind you, that is one of the closer votes that we have seen in quite some time.
00:03:04.000 Now look, I'm not going to spend our time attacking John Thune.
00:03:07.000 He's in charge.
00:03:08.000 What I will say is this is...
00:03:09.000 John Thune has a short window to show us who he is.
00:03:14.000 To show us what he's made of.
00:03:16.000 I'm willing to say, okay, fine.
00:03:17.000 Everyone says that you're a rhino.
00:03:19.000 Everyone says that you're a gutless wonder.
00:03:20.000 Maybe you are, maybe you aren't.
00:03:22.000 You have a short window...
00:03:24.000 To show us that you will support President Trump, fill his cabinet, confirm his judges, pass his agenda, do recess appointments, keep the Senate operational for 24 hours.
00:03:33.000 If Chuck Grassley has to go take a nap, that's fine.
00:03:35.000 We're not going to put up with this.
00:03:37.000 Senate goes into nap time for a couple days.
00:03:46.000 Look, our movement is ascendant, and they know this.
00:03:48.000 This is a very, very tight Senate majority election.
00:03:53.000 Very, very tight.
00:03:55.000 Our movement is growing.
00:03:56.000 It is powerful.
00:03:57.000 But allow me to emphasize one of the most disturbing elements of this Senate leadership election.
00:04:05.000 We don't know how people voted.
00:04:10.000 Of all the votes that they take, this is one of the most important votes that they take.
00:04:18.000 Since Republicans vote with the party 98% of the time, what matters is who are they actually putting in charge of the United States Senate?
00:04:28.000 And the majority leader decides that.
00:04:30.000 But their votes are private?
00:04:32.000 We don't actually know who voted for John Thune.
00:04:37.000 We can guess.
00:04:38.000 We can piece it together.
00:04:40.000 We know some of his allies.
00:04:42.000 I like Mark Wayne Mullen.
00:04:43.000 I think he's a good man from Oklahoma.
00:04:44.000 We've gotten to know each other.
00:04:45.000 Don't agree on a lot of stuff, but he's willing to dialogue.
00:04:48.000 He's behind John Thune.
00:04:50.000 Okay.
00:04:51.000 I know some people are behind John Cornyn.
00:04:56.000 But why the secret ballot?
00:04:57.000 And it's very clear.
00:05:00.000 They do a secret ballot because they're terrified.
00:05:04.000 John Foon is now Senate Majority Leader.
00:05:07.000 If he does not support President Trump in these next 30 to 45 days to fill President Trump's cabinet, we will remove him.
00:05:18.000 If he does support President Trump, we'll support him.
00:05:23.000 But Foon won in the darkness.
00:05:28.000 Thune did not win when people had to voice their support for John Thune.
00:05:32.000 The only way that they are able to keep business as usual in the Senate is to not have you see who's actually supporting business as usual in the Senate.
00:05:43.000 And in some ways, that should give you some hope and some optimism.
00:05:47.000 That should give you some confidence and encouragement.
00:05:51.000 In some ways, it's actually a very good thing because they're terrified of you because you care and the American people have awoken from their slumber.
00:06:01.000 This is not the result that any of us wanted, but it was the high probability result.
00:06:08.000 Some people said, oh, Charlie, Rick Scott's going to win no matter what.
00:06:10.000 I said, I don't think you realize how much the U.S. Senate Is in contradiction to the needs, wants, and interests of the American people.
00:06:21.000 But they're increasingly getting nervous that they might face primary challenges.
00:06:25.000 The Senate is not an insular good old boy club.
00:06:31.000 It should be a representative of the citizens.
00:06:34.000 However, it does operate as a country club.
00:06:37.000 Secret ballots, work a couple hours a day, Kind of go work out in the gym.
00:06:43.000 Feel as if you're very important.
00:06:44.000 Lunch with lobbyists.
00:06:46.000 Foreign trips.
00:06:47.000 You feel as if you're the really important person.
00:06:50.000 And we rose up in record numbers this election.
00:06:54.000 To try to prevent this exact thing.
00:06:56.000 The American people, think about what the American people voted for just a week ago.
00:07:00.000 The American people voted for transparency, accountability, integrity, honesty.
00:07:05.000 The American people voted against everything that we've just seen through the United States Senate.
00:07:10.000 And I'm not going to make this the John Thune bashing hour.
00:07:13.000 I am willing.
00:07:15.000 I'm very cynical and I'm very skeptical because if I was a betting man, I would say this guy's not going to deliver.
00:07:21.000 But prove me wrong, John Thune.
00:07:23.000 Prove me wrong.
00:07:25.000 I'd be the first one to say on the Charlie Kirk Show, this guy is the best Senate majority leader in a generation.
00:07:30.000 I want you to prove this entire audience wrong.
00:07:32.000 And I'd be the first one to do, you know what?
00:07:35.000 You've been terrific.
00:07:36.000 We call balls and strikes here.
00:07:38.000 We call it as we see it.
00:07:41.000 What do I think is going to happen?
00:07:42.000 I think that you are going to continue in the tradition of McConnell.
00:07:47.000 But it's a blank slate.
00:07:49.000 Show us that you are not that.
00:07:51.000 Show us that you are willing to listen to your voters.
00:07:53.000 And yes, you are up in 2028.
00:07:55.000 I sure wish it was 2026, but 2028 will be here.
00:07:58.000 That cycle will happen very, very soon.
00:08:00.000 Blake is from South Dakota.
00:08:01.000 He could be the chairman of the South Dakota Pressure Project.
00:08:05.000 And by the way, that is one of the reasons why they wanted to get behind John Thune.
00:08:09.000 They're so smart.
00:08:11.000 They're so clever.
00:08:13.000 That's not the right word, clever.
00:08:14.000 And Aristotle said in one of his books, The Ethics, that...
00:08:19.000 Cleverness without ethics is one of the most dangerous combinations.
00:08:22.000 And boy, is that correct.
00:08:25.000 When you are clever, you're able to navigate and you're able to snake through the institutions.
00:08:33.000 This is so similar to why they chose Mr.
00:08:36.000 Lankford to do the border bill.
00:08:37.000 Because he is far away from a primary challenge.
00:08:40.000 He is distant from the accountability of the American people.
00:08:44.000 And so for John Thune, they say, okay, even if he gets to be really upset, if Charlie Kirk and Tucker Carlson and the whole gang want to primary Mr.
00:08:55.000 Thune, he is detached from the accountability.
00:09:01.000 Do not underestimate.
00:09:02.000 That is one of the reasons why some of these senators got behind Mr.
00:09:05.000 Thune.
00:09:06.000 I've never met John Thune.
00:09:07.000 I've never talked to him.
00:09:08.000 He's said some very nasty things about President Trump before, saying he should withdraw from the race, saying he wish other people.
00:09:13.000 But look, you have to have short memories in politics.
00:09:15.000 You have to.
00:09:16.000 You got to wipe it clean.
00:09:17.000 Okay, new day, new mandate.
00:09:19.000 So what are you going to do, Mr.
00:09:20.000 Thune?
00:09:20.000 And I'm very curious.
00:09:21.000 I want to see the statement.
00:09:23.000 And by the way, Senator Thune, you're always welcome on this program.
00:09:26.000 If you want to be in front of a big audience, this is where this stuff really happens anymore.
00:09:29.000 It's no longer just on the cable news chatterbox, where you go on and you get a couple softball questions about how much money you're sending to Ukraine.
00:09:35.000 We don't do that around here.
00:09:36.000 We're going to get down to the essence of the matter.
00:09:38.000 And I understand you're not a movement conservative, but we got some questions.
00:09:42.000 Are you going to do recess appointments?
00:09:43.000 Are you willing to support the president and his agenda?
00:09:47.000 Can we get a border bill?
00:09:48.000 Will you pass a bill to Allow for Department of Homeland Security to do their job?
00:09:59.000 These are all very important questions.
00:10:02.000 Are we going to have real spending cuts?
00:10:03.000 If Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, by the way, who's in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency, If they highlight hundreds of billions of dollars of wasteful spending, DOGE, are you going to have the wherewithal and the fortitude as Senate Majority Leader to capitalize on those cuts?
00:10:20.000 And understand this.
00:10:21.000 For those of you that might be a little down, don't get down.
00:10:23.000 We had the most triumphant win last week.
00:10:25.000 I'm not going to let you get down.
00:10:26.000 This is just a little annoyance.
00:10:27.000 It's just a little mosquito bite.
00:10:28.000 That's all that this is.
00:10:31.000 They're not in control.
00:10:32.000 Thune barely eked this one out.
00:10:34.000 This was a squeaker.
00:10:35.000 He doesn't have control over the conference.
00:10:37.000 By the way, our numbers are growing.
00:10:41.000 Think of the type of senators that we have there.
00:10:45.000 Marco Rubio behind Rick Scott.
00:10:47.000 Ted Cruz got behind Rick Scott.
00:10:49.000 Marsha Blackburn got behind Rick Scott.
00:10:51.000 We are multiplying.
00:10:54.000 We have great, great names in the U.S. Senate.
00:10:58.000 Jim Banks, for example, is going to be a new member, and he is excellent.
00:11:02.000 Maybe one of the best ones we have out of this entire class.
00:11:06.000 Bernie Moreno is going to be terrific.
00:11:08.000 I can vouch for that personally.
00:11:11.000 And it's going to be a process.
00:11:13.000 But right now, John Thune is running the U.S. Senate.
00:11:15.000 And if he fails to deliver, we will replace him.
00:11:18.000 And we'll do it quicker than Kevin McCarthy.
00:11:21.000 Because, by the way, Blake, can you read Senate rules?
00:11:23.000 I think three senators can force a leadership vote.
00:11:25.000 I think.
00:11:29.000 The American people are back in charge and the Senate doesn't like it.
00:11:32.000 They are so terrified of you, they have to be in their little club without transparent leadership elections.
00:11:37.000 And I want somebody, anybody, a breathing human being to tell me, email me freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:11:43.000 You are welcome on my show.
00:11:45.000 Why the U.S. Senate should do private and secret ballots.

00:12:50.000 That is patriotmobile.com slash charlie or call 972-PATRIOT. I have some very heavy news here.
00:12:59.000 I'm going to read from a PragerU tweet.
00:13:01.000 I heard about this last night.
00:13:03.000 I didn't want to say anything.
00:13:05.000 I need all of you guys to go to prayer right now of intercession.
00:13:09.000 On Tuesday morning, PragerU founder and our dear friend Dennis Prager suffered a serious back injury following a fall.
00:13:16.000 He's resting in a local Los Angeles hospital as doctors assess treatment options.
00:13:21.000 We will keep you informed of his condition.
00:13:23.000 In the meantime, Dennis welcomes the healing power of your prayers.
00:13:26.000 So please pray for Dennis.
00:13:29.000 And it's a very, very heavy situation there.
00:13:33.000 So please, that is from PragerU who just sent out a tweet.
00:13:37.000 And we welcome all your prayers of my friend and great mentor, an amazing person, Dennis Prager.
00:13:43.000 So, very tough.
00:13:48.000 Email us, as always, at freedom at charliekirk.com and subscribe to our podcast.
00:13:52.000 Open up your podcast application and type in Charlie Kirk Show.
00:13:56.000 There's so much news here today.
00:13:57.000 But let me just say, and I'm curious, is it constitutional to have secret ballots?
00:14:04.000 Maybe.
00:14:05.000 But shouldn't they be subject to freedom of information requests?
00:14:08.000 Shouldn't they be subject to the American?
00:14:10.000 I mean, I might be getting cute by half here.
00:14:13.000 Blake says, yes, it is constitutional.
00:14:15.000 This is a private party action.
00:14:17.000 All right.
00:14:18.000 The essence of what I'm saying is that it certainly is not defensible through any sort of standard that we apply to anything else.
00:14:28.000 You are there as a representative of voters.
00:14:35.000 Blake says it's a private party action.
00:14:37.000 Fair enough.
00:14:38.000 However, I want any senator to come on this program To tell me why you will not tell your voters who you voted for.
00:14:48.000 It's because you are terrified of justifying your vote.
00:14:53.000 If Thune or Cornyn or whoever was the best option ever then you should say that.
00:14:58.000 Do you notice one interesting thing?
00:15:00.000 Almost every single person who voted for Rick Scott told you they were voting for Rick Scott.
00:15:05.000 We knew that Rick Scott was coming in with 13 votes.
00:15:08.000 Now, isn't that interesting?
00:15:09.000 We knew who was voting for Rick Scott, but we didn't know who was voting for Thune or Corrin.
00:15:13.000 Why?
00:15:13.000 Because Rick Scott is a justifiable option in the public eye.
00:15:18.000 Rick Scott is a defendable position.
00:15:22.000 Whereas John Thune, they know people would face primary challenges, state GOP revolts.
00:15:30.000 No transparency reflects a fear of the people.
00:15:36.000 And it only furthers this narrative that the American people do not trust their leaders.
00:15:46.000 Now, in the rules, five senators in writing can force a party conference.
00:15:52.000 So maybe that's what can happen here.
00:15:55.000 But again, John Thune's majority leader.
00:15:57.000 We're going to have a little bit of a grace period.
00:15:59.000 And then it's game on.
00:16:01.000 If by January 31st, we do not have a full cabinet, and I know that is a tall order, then that's going to be on soon.
00:16:09.000 You have to go 24-hour concurrent nominations.
00:16:12.000 We need to change the Senate rules and allow you to do more than one nomination at a time.
00:16:17.000 This archaic way of doing business.
00:16:19.000 Okay, we're going to do the Attorney General, and that's going to take us a week and a half.
00:16:22.000 Then we're going to do SecDef, and that's going to take a week and a half.
00:16:25.000 And then we're going to do Department of the Interior.
00:16:27.000 You can do concurrent and rolling nominations because the hearings happen in committee.
00:16:33.000 They do not happen just with the entire body.
00:16:41.000 This is why Trump won.
00:16:44.000 What you just saw is the reason why Donald Trump won.
00:16:49.000 People have lost faith in their government.
00:16:54.000 And so they said, Donald Trump, you may talk dirty, but I'm hiring you to go do a dirty job.
00:17:00.000 Donald Trump, you might talk plainly, but you're a fighter and we want trust restored in our government.
00:17:07.000 And I find it to be reprehensible that these senators ask us for our vote and they ask us for our support.
00:17:13.000 And that's all fine.
00:17:14.000 Okay, I'm sure some of them are decent people.
00:17:15.000 I know some of them.
00:17:21.000 And yes, some people were public for John Thune.
00:17:26.000 The point I'm making, though, is that every person for Rick Scott was public for Rick Scott.
00:17:31.000 It is an indefensible position to vote for somebody and not tell your voters who you're voting for.
00:17:36.000 Can someone come and tell me the case for John Thune?
00:17:39.000 I want to hear it.
00:17:40.000 There's the great Jack Posobiec right there.
00:17:43.000 And some people say, oh, you know, he's a friend.
00:17:45.000 Okay, fine, great, sure.
00:17:50.000 We are up against a uniparty cartel, everybody.
00:17:54.000 And this is why Trump won.
00:17:55.000 So now pressure's on Foon.
00:17:57.000 Let's see what you got, man.
00:17:59.000 Because if not, you will be primaried and you will be taken out and it will make Eric Cantor look like child's play.
00:18:06.000 The whole new movement is ascendant.
00:18:08.000 We got Elon Musk liberated.
00:18:10.000 We got Twitter.
00:18:11.000 We got X. Mainstream media is dying.
00:18:13.000 We got podcasting.
00:18:14.000 We got Megyn Kelly.
00:18:15.000 We got Bongino.
00:18:17.000 We got Shapiro.
00:18:18.000 We got...
00:18:19.000 Walsh.
00:18:20.000 We got Candace.
00:18:21.000 We got Bannon.
00:18:22.000 We got Beck.
00:18:22.000 We got...
00:18:23.000 The whole program has changed.
00:18:24.000 Long gone are the days where you could do your little secret ballots.
00:18:27.000 And so the eyes are on you.
00:18:29.000 And as a certain newspaper says, democracy dies in darkness.

00:19:48.000 Governor, congratulations.
00:19:49.000 But first, do you want to comment on our mutual friend, Dennis Prager, that we are in prayer for right now?
00:19:56.000 Yeah, I certainly do.
00:19:57.000 I heard that he's had a very serious accident.
00:20:00.000 Dennis Prager is one of the great minds of our day.
00:20:05.000 Unquestionably one of the most important thinkers and articulators of strong conservative movement.
00:20:13.000 Dennis and I co-hosted a trip that took a group of pastors to Auschwitz and then to London to see the bunkers of World War II and finally to the Reagan Library because we wanted to help people understand Exactly what happened with particularly John Paul II,
00:20:33.000 Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan, and why that they were so instrumental, and quite frankly, John Paul II maybe more than anyone, in helping to bring about the complete collapse of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe Communism.
00:20:48.000 Prager is just brilliant.
00:20:50.000 He's always on the cutting edge of thinking and speaking.
00:20:54.000 And so I think I join with everybody in saying, let's pray for Dennis Prager because we need him.
00:21:01.000 We need him as much as we've ever needed him.
00:21:02.000 So thanks for even bringing that up.
00:21:06.000 And he's a dear friend of mine.
00:21:07.000 I'm still kind of processing all this.
00:21:10.000 I've listened to every one of his fireside chats.
00:21:13.000 I've listened to his 230-hour Torah commentary verse by verse.
00:21:18.000 And so it's been a numbing week, Governor, from the historic victory to this.
00:21:26.000 And it is a segue, actually, to your announcement.
00:21:30.000 Dennis is a massive...
00:21:33.000 And thoughtful advocate for the State of Israel.
00:21:35.000 You are now nominated as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
00:21:40.000 And I could tell you right now, if Dennis was on the radio today, he would be cheerleading with pom-poms that Governor Mike Huckabee is the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.
00:21:51.000 Governor, congratulations on that.
00:21:53.000 And tell us the stakes, what you plan to do, and fill our audience in, please.
00:21:59.000 Well, Charlie, I appreciate it.
00:22:00.000 Let me begin by just saying thank you to you.
00:22:03.000 I'm convinced that without Turning Point USA, I'm not sure Donald Trump would have won.
00:22:08.000 He certainly would not have won with the landslide that he did.
00:22:11.000 And the mandate that he goes in with is, without doubt, largely due to the efforts that Turning Point has done across the country.
00:22:20.000 So kudos to you, my friend, and all of the incredible people at Turning Point.
00:22:26.000 You guys, on Inauguration Day, January 20th, you ought to take a deep bow and just recognize, yes, you did it.
00:22:36.000 You did it well.
00:22:37.000 Well, thank you.
00:22:38.000 It's the Lord.
00:22:39.000 I really believe it was the hand of God, but please continue.
00:22:42.000 Well, it was, but, you know, God's hands sometimes need a little help down here, and He calls on us to be His hands and His feet, and you guys have been just that.
00:22:52.000 I'll tell you, this has been a kind of a shocking 24 hours for me.
00:22:57.000 And it was almost exactly 24 hours ago when President Trump gave me the call.
00:23:02.000 I wasn't expecting it.
00:23:03.000 It wasn't something I'd been lobbying for.
00:23:06.000 But when he asked, quite frankly, the one position...
00:23:10.000 That the president could have asked me to do that I was willing and really ready to do because of my passion for the state of Israel, which goes all the way back to 1973.
00:23:21.000 That's when I made my first trip to Israel.
00:23:23.000 I was still a month shy of my 18th birthday.
00:23:27.000 And it was life changing for me.
00:23:30.000 And since that time, I've been probably a hundred times to Israel.
00:23:34.000 I've taken tens of thousands of people to visit Israel, gotten to know most of the government officials there.
00:23:41.000 I've walked from Dan to Beersheba and have been throughout the country and It's a place I just truly love, and I believe it is a special place because God made it special.
00:23:54.000 And so without any apology in saying this, you know, I'm a simple guy.
00:23:58.000 I believe the scripture.
00:24:00.000 Genesis 12, those who bless Israel will be blessed.
00:24:03.000 Those who curse Israel will be cursed.
00:24:05.000 I want to be on the blessing side, not the curse side.
00:24:09.000 And this for me is an extraordinary honor, but it's also a very weighty responsibility that the president has asked me to do.
00:24:18.000 And I am honored to do this for my country and for my president.
00:24:24.000 Well, Governor, and let's not forget, you are going to be in the ambassador's residence in Jerusalem, not Tel Aviv.
00:24:31.000 And that is incredibly significant.
00:24:34.000 Please explain to our audience.
00:24:37.000 Well, I was there when the embassy was moved on that incredible day.
00:24:41.000 I wept because for years I'd been praying some president would actually have the courage to do this.
00:24:47.000 And every president, and it goes back, Democrats and Republicans, Bill Clinton, George Bush, it didn't matter who, all said they were going to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
00:24:57.000 They never did.
00:24:58.000 They always found an excuse or a reason.
00:25:00.000 Oh, it'll create tension and hardship.
00:25:03.000 Donald Trump did it.
00:25:04.000 And I'll never forget, my daughter was press secretary.
00:25:06.000 I happened to be at the White House, and I had a visit just one-on-one with President Trump in the Oval Office, and we were chatting.
00:25:15.000 And I said, Mr.
00:25:16.000 President, thank you so much for moving the embassy.
00:25:21.000 Most people didn't think you'd ever do it because no one else has done it.
00:25:25.000 And I know that every bit of pressure was for you to not do it from the State Department, from other nations and its leaders.
00:25:33.000 Everywhere, people said don't do it.
00:25:35.000 Even the senators and people in the House who always voted for it to happen, deep down, they were afraid of it.
00:25:42.000 So I asked him, I said, why did you do it?
00:25:44.000 Charlie, I'll never forget what he said.
00:25:46.000 This is classic Trump, and you know him very, very well, so you'll understand how accurate this is.
00:25:53.000 He looked at me, he said, well, because I said I was going to do it, and it's the right thing to do.
00:25:59.000 Simple as that.
00:26:00.000 And I thought, now that is an executive.
00:26:03.000 That is a leader.
00:26:05.000 That is a decision maker.
00:26:07.000 And I just realized what an extraordinary blessing we had as Having Donald Trump at the White House.
00:26:15.000 And I was hurt, deeply wounded when the 2020 election was called the other way.
00:26:21.000 But I got to tell you, I'm ecstatic that he goes back in, ready to go, picking some incredible people to be on his team.
00:26:30.000 Totally.
00:26:31.000 And I believe he will have the most impactful and successful presidency, perhaps, in all of American history.
00:26:40.000 I hope everyone understands, some ambassadorships are ceremonial.
00:26:44.000 They're given as friends of the president, people that kind of want a nice end to their career.
00:26:50.000 You could think of a Caribbean island, the Turks and Caicos, Cayman Islands, maybe even Austria.
00:26:57.000 Ambassador to Israel is a completely different ballgame, everybody.
00:26:59.000 Governor, can you explain?
00:27:00.000 You are actively involved in diplomacy, in high-stakes negotiations, in representing American interests, not just Israel, but you are really at the tip of the spear for all Western Arab communications because it has to go through the prism of American-Israeli relations.
00:27:17.000 And so this is not just kind of, okay, Governor Huckabee, you know, get a nice suntan down in Jamaica.
00:27:24.000 You are going to be on the front lines of some of the most consequential geopolitical decisions.
00:27:29.000 Please, Governor.
00:27:31.000 Well, it is a very strategic role because so much of world peace is made or is broken in that little area of the Middle East, particularly that sliver of real estate we called Israel, no bigger than the size of New Jersey.
00:27:45.000 Israel occupies 1 644th of the land mass of the countries that are controlled by Muslim leadership.
00:27:54.000 I mean, that's staggering when you think about it.
00:27:56.000 So for every inch Of Israeli land and real estate, there are 644 pieces of land controlled by Muslim countries.
00:28:08.000 When people say, Israel needs to give up some land to attain peace, they have no idea what they're talking about.
00:28:14.000 It's a dumb statement.
00:28:16.000 The role that I will play is to try to help extend the Abraham Accords, which I don't think President Trump ever got proper credit for.
00:28:24.000 It was an extraordinary breakthrough, truly amazing, the breakthrough that that presented.
00:28:31.000 And there are pieces of that that still need to happen, particularly with Saudi Arabia, with Qatar and with other countries.
00:28:38.000 And so that'll be part of what I hope to be able to play a role in.
00:28:43.000 But, you know, the job of the ambassador is not to represent himself, is not to so much put forth what I think.
00:28:50.000 I'll be there to represent this administration, this president, and the policies that he was elected to carry out.
00:28:58.000 So I've been asked, well, what do you think you're going to want to do?
00:29:01.000 I said, I'm going to want to do what the president wants me to do because that's what an ambassador does.
00:29:07.000 One of the reasons he had some challenges in his first term, there were people he had appointed to office.
00:29:13.000 I think the first secretary of state that he had is a good example.
00:29:18.000 Who forgot that no one had elected him to anything.
00:29:22.000 The only person that got elected on November 5th was Donald J. Trump.
00:29:27.000 So he's the person that the people have said, you're our leader.
00:29:31.000 Anyone he appoints or employs, it is our job to carry out the policies that he was elected by the American people to put forth.
00:29:46.000 Governor, thank you for your leadership, and I've always wanted to see this.
00:29:50.000 I pray I'll see you next year in Jerusalem.
00:29:53.000 So thank you.
00:29:54.000 Charlie, I can't wait for you to come, and I look forward to hosting you when you do.
00:29:58.000 Thank you for all you do.
00:30:00.000 God bless you, my friend.
00:30:01.000 I couldn't be more thrilled with this decision.
00:30:04.000 Thank you, Governor.
00:30:05.000 Congrats again.
00:30:10.000 Election Day 2024 is in our rearview mirror and conservatives are fired up that President Trump heading back to the White House in January.
00:30:16.000 But our fight isn't over and I'm asking you for your help.
00:30:19.000 Conservatives for lower health care costs are warning us that Big Pharma and the far left are scrambling to fast track a big government scheme to eliminate free market forces.
00:30:31.000 This pharma-backed scheme, called de-linking, would hand a massive $32 billion windfall to the biggest drug companies.
00:30:39.000 And guess who would pay?
00:30:40.000 Hard-working American customers, consumers, seniors, and taxpayers.
00:30:44.000 You can help stop Big Pharma's money grab from American seniors and taxpayers by going to pharmawindfall.com right now.
00:30:51.000 Congress must reject Big Pharma's scheme to boost drug companies' profits, keep drug prices high, undermine competition in healthcare, and hike healthcare costs for American people.
00:31:02.000 Please go now to pharmawindfall.com to join this urgent fight.
00:31:06.000 Portions of Charlie Kirkshaw are brought to you in part by conservatives for lower healthcare costs.
00:31:13.000 Well, so Elon Musk has now been appointed to the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE as they call it.
00:31:22.000 Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk are going to run the first ever government agency with a self-destruct button.
00:31:29.000 It exists to eliminate itself.
00:31:32.000 Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will have full audit authority of the federal government to find waste, to find duplication of costs, to eliminate them.
00:31:41.000 And to expose to the American people how the government has been wasting your money.
00:31:45.000 This is something I'm so excited about.
00:31:47.000 It takes someone like Ilan and Vivek that have the public's trust, that have this massive platform to be able to show the waste, publicize the waste, and then be able to cut it.
00:31:58.000 Transparency is the agenda that Trump fought for.
00:32:01.000 The Senate does not believe in transparency.
00:32:03.000 The Senate believes in secret ballots.
00:32:05.000 The Senate believes in black box budgeting.
00:32:08.000 If anybody is against the Department of Government Efficiency like Pocahontas is, they are running a scam.
00:32:16.000 Elizabeth Warren has been very chippy on Twitter saying, oh, you know, Pete Hegseth can't serve because he's a Fox and Friends host.
00:32:23.000 Oh, really?
00:32:25.000 Have you served in the military, Elizabeth Warren?
00:32:27.000 Has she?
00:32:27.000 Jack, I don't think she has.
00:32:28.000 Has Elizabeth Warren served in the military?
00:32:30.000 I must have missed that in her biography.
00:32:31.000 No, no, it's fine.
00:32:32.000 It's fine.
00:32:34.000 Elizabeth Warren says the Office of Government Efficiency is off to a great start with split leadership.
00:32:38.000 Two people to do the work of one person.
00:32:40.000 Yes, this seems really efficient.
00:32:41.000 I mean, at some point, Elizabeth Warren, you should stay out of this one.
00:32:46.000 Have you ever heard of a co-chair?
00:32:49.000 At this point, why do we have a senator from Massachusetts?
00:32:51.000 We could have one senator just do the job to represent Massachusetts.
00:32:54.000 This is a ridiculous thing to say.
00:32:58.000 Why don't we just have that old crow, Markey, represent Massachusetts?
00:33:01.000 Whatever his name is.
00:33:02.000 Is it Markey?
00:33:02.000 I think it is.
00:33:04.000 Mackie, Markey, whatever his name is.
00:33:07.000 The Department of Government Efficiency is one of the most exciting developments and promises made, promises kept by President Donald Trump.
00:33:16.000 He said he was going to empower Elon and empower Vivek.
00:33:20.000 He said he was going to deploy them to the front lines.
00:33:23.000 He said he was going to give them the authority and the capacity to find costs and cut costs.
00:33:32.000 The creation of DOGE, again, will be the first federal program whose goal is to eliminate itself.
00:33:40.000 It exists to shrink government, not grow it.
00:33:42.000 This is a profound historic step back to the founders' vision for America.
00:33:50.000 Back to the original intent and the original structure that Madison, Hamilton and Jay intended.
00:33:58.000 And the Senate is not going to like a lot of this, but too bad.
00:34:01.000 The people are in charge.
00:34:02.000 Do you see this?
00:34:03.000 We are liberating the consciousness and the awareness and the visibility of our government to lead a citizen reclamation of what was once ours.
00:34:14.000 Donald Trump was the tip of the spear and Elon and Vivek are following right after.
00:34:19.000 Then we have Governor Noem at DHS. We have Lee Zeldin at EPA. Got Elise Stefanik at the UN Ambassadorship.
00:34:26.000 We got Tom Homan doing the Border Czar.
00:34:29.000 I mean, this is a team that is going to swarm DC. And look, you're not going to win every battle.
00:34:33.000 Some of these guys are going to have oppo dropped on them.
00:34:36.000 And, you know, look, you're going to have a little war of attrition.
00:34:38.000 You don't storm the beaches of DC and everyone's going to last six months or a year.
00:34:43.000 You just got to get ready for that.
00:34:44.000 Then it's next man up.
00:34:47.000 But there has never been a commanding presence of a unified Avenger force to reclaim D.C. in American history like this.
00:34:56.000 With a mandate clearly given from the American people, and you couple that with Twitter being liberated, things are changing.
00:35:03.000 You guys are witnessing American history, and every day is getting better.
00:35:07.000 One day after the other.
00:35:09.000 Thanks so much for listening, everybody.
00:35:11.000 Email us, as always, freedom at charliekirk.com.
00:35:13.000 Thanks so much for listening, and God bless.
