00:00:00.000 Joe Biden fails to make the case for his own candidacy.
00:00:03.900 Half of young voters think the world will end in a decade,
00:00:07.300 and the left ignores actual scientists, 500 of them, on global warming,
00:00:12.400 all of which reveals an eternal and important and urgent truth about politics.
00:00:18.120 Lies come with a great cost.
00:00:20.760 We will examine the price of lies in politics.
00:00:23.720 Then, President Trump defends America at the UN.
00:00:26.200 The Ukraine scandal implicates not just Joe Biden, but other Democrats as well.
00:00:31.040 And Michelle Williams, whoever that is, spreads nonsense at the Emmy Awards.
00:00:34.720 All that and more.
00:00:35.740 I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:00:45.360 Boy, oh boy, do we have a lot to get to today.
00:00:49.000 First, though, I've got to thank our wonderful sponsors over at NetSuite.
00:00:51.980 Listen, one of the biggest, most difficult challenges that businesses encounter when they're starting up
00:00:59.140 is that you can't keep track of anything.
00:01:01.400 The problem growing businesses have that keeps them from knowing their numbers
00:01:04.440 is they've got this hodgepodge of business systems, and that is where NetSuite comes in very handy.
00:01:09.720 I've been involved in a lot of startup businesses over the years, including, obviously, this one.
00:01:13.780 And this is always the case.
00:01:15.800 You go in and you say, okay, I'm going to use this software for this aspect of my business,
00:01:21.580 and I'm going to use this for this, and I'm going to use that for that.
00:01:23.460 And then they're not talking to each other.
00:01:25.040 You can't keep track of things, and then time is money.
00:01:27.600 Introducing NetSuite by Oracle, the business management software
00:01:30.700 that handles every aspect of your business in an easy-to-use cloud platform,
00:01:35.780 giving you the visibility and control you need to grow.

00:01:50.920 That is why NetSuite is the world's number one cloud business system.
00:01:55.060 Looking back, I wish it had occurred to us.
00:01:57.840 I wish this were available when I was starting other businesses,
00:02:00.540 because you just do it really quickly to begin with, and then it causes headaches down the road.
00:02:04.600 NetSuite is the way to go.
00:02:05.600 Right now, NetSuite is offering you valuable insights with a free guide,
00:02:09.720 Seven Key Strategies to Grow Your Profits, at netsuite.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:02:16.660 That's netsuite.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S, to download your free guide,
00:02:22.300 Seven Key Strategies to Grow Your Profits, netsuite.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:02:29.120 A lot of news to get to today.
00:02:32.520 First bit of news I want to get to is in the 2020 race,
00:02:35.500 because that is what is dominating our politics right now.
00:02:40.140 And Joe Biden, who is dominating the Democratic field, keeps failing and failing and failing.
00:02:45.060 And people are blaming a lot of different aspects of Biden's candidacy for why it's falling apart.
00:02:50.600 His age, his teeth, his plastic surgery, his, all of these things, his 1994 crime bill, his career.
00:03:01.180 They're trying to blame all of these things.
00:03:02.900 I think it comes down to one character flaw above all.
00:03:09.420 He doesn't believe in anything and he has no regard for the truth.
00:03:13.400 And this is a problem that affects a lot of our politics today.
00:03:17.400 Here's Joe Biden, he's being asked on camera, why people should elect him president?
00:03:23.700 He doesn't have an answer.
00:03:25.240 Well, in Iowa, the unemployment rate is two and a half percent.
00:03:28.740 People say they are employed in Iowa and their small businesses are growing.
00:03:33.240 Iowa picked Trump by-
00:03:35.120 They were employed before he got elected.
00:03:37.920 The president won by 10 percentage points in Iowa.
00:03:40.200 I'm not suggesting he didn't win by 10 percentage points.
00:03:42.700 What I'm suggesting is he's not the reason for the unemployment rate being down.
00:03:45.820 But why should people want to make a change though?
00:03:48.360 Well, that's up to them to decide.
00:03:51.300 Why should they?
00:03:52.700 It's for them to decide.
00:03:54.440 Well, make your case.
00:03:55.560 I'm not going to.
00:03:56.680 I'm not going to make the case because I can't make the case.
00:03:59.620 Biden makes two big mistakes here.
00:04:02.740 He has two major failings.
00:04:05.060 He can't make the case for himself.
00:04:08.060 And he hasn't been able to make the case for himself at all.
00:04:11.740 I mean, he launched his campaign, his campaign ad against Trump.
00:04:16.320 He basically said, Trump is a big racist, so vote for me.
00:04:19.440 And then he took Trump's Charlottesville comments out of context.
00:04:22.760 He cut out the spot where he explicitly condemned neo-Nazis and white supremacists.
00:04:26.920 And he said, see, Donald Trump likes neo-Nazis and white supremacists.
00:04:30.040 That's all he did in his initial campaign ad for 2020.
00:04:34.800 That's the first problem.
00:04:35.720 He can't make the case for himself.
00:04:37.220 He's just saying Trump is a bad guy.
00:04:38.860 The second problem, a related problem, is he can't actually make the case against Trump.
00:04:43.860 And this reporter who was interviewing him nails him on it.
00:04:47.140 She says, look, the economy is going well.
00:04:49.620 Life is good.
00:04:50.860 People are generally happy with the way things are going.
00:04:54.200 Why would people vote for you?
00:04:55.900 And he says, well, Trump's not responsible for any of that.
00:04:58.600 It's all actually someone else's responsibility.
00:05:01.340 And Trump didn't do any of that.
00:05:02.340 And she has the correct follow-up, which is, okay, maybe that's true.
00:05:08.380 Maybe the great economy that we're living under right now in the Trump administration,
00:05:12.720 maybe that's not thanks to Trump.
00:05:14.020 Maybe that's thanks to Obama or Bush or Bill Clinton or Calvin Coolidge,
00:05:18.400 whoever is actually responsible for it.
00:05:21.380 Things are going well right now.
00:05:23.480 Why would voters want to change?
00:05:25.860 And his answer is astounding.
00:05:28.940 He says, well, yeah, the voters have to make that decision.
00:05:32.920 The question wasn't who makes the decision about whether or not to change.
00:05:37.400 Because the correct answer to that question would be the voters make the decision.
00:05:41.440 The question was why should people change?
00:05:45.020 Not who, but why?
00:05:47.080 He doesn't know.
00:05:48.300 And she gives him another at-bat.
00:05:49.660 She says, okay, you kind of missed that one.
00:05:51.780 But can you tell us, of course, the voters are going to make the decision,
00:05:55.300 but why should the voters make the decision to change now?
00:05:59.720 He says, well, they have to make that decision.
00:06:01.260 I don't know.
00:06:01.480 I'm not going to make the case.
00:06:02.340 Because he doesn't have a case to make.
00:06:04.140 This is where it would help if Joe Biden believed in anything.
00:06:09.900 This is where it would help if Joe Biden had any regard for the truth.
00:06:14.440 If you have regard for the truth, if you state plain truths,
00:06:21.000 you're going to have angry mobs come after you, especially in politics.
00:06:25.500 That's what politics is.
00:06:26.860 That's what politics always has been.
00:06:28.980 You might remember at the University of Missouri, Kansas City,
00:06:31.700 I was physically attacked because I said men are not women.
00:06:36.340 I gave a speech there a few months ago.
00:06:38.440 The statement I made was men are not women.
00:06:41.720 Very difficult to disagree with that.
00:06:43.420 You could say the sky is blue.
00:06:44.640 You could say two plus two equals four.
00:06:47.100 And there was a mob of people screaming at me from the minute I opened my mouth.
00:06:50.800 I didn't let them shut me up.
00:06:52.380 They stormed out.
00:06:53.320 Some guy comes in and assaults me with some creepy, strange super soaker.
00:06:58.840 That's the price of telling the truth in politics.
00:07:01.260 If you say the world won't end in 12 years,
00:07:04.620 if you say we shouldn't kill our babies,
00:07:06.840 if you say we shouldn't put little children on puberty blockers when they're three years old
00:07:11.260 and permanently change their biology,
00:07:16.540 if you exploit children in any way,
00:07:18.860 you're going to have people come after you.
00:07:20.760 That's just the way it is.
00:07:24.140 If you are going to have to take slings and arrows for standing up for the truth,
00:07:27.540 that's the way politics goes.
00:07:29.040 However, it's not all bad news because in the long run,
00:07:33.540 the truth is all you've got.
00:07:35.020 And the great statesmen of history are the ones who stood firm
00:07:38.320 and spoke the truth and didn't cower to mobs.
00:07:41.940 Joe Biden ain't that statesman, okay?
00:07:43.700 He's never been that statesman.
00:07:45.200 I'm not even saying it's necessarily a left-right thing or a Republican-Democrat thing.
00:07:49.360 But it is certainly the case that Joe Biden does not rise to that level.
00:07:53.700 Joe Biden has no regard for the truth.
00:07:56.120 He has taken the easy way out in politics again and again his whole life.
00:08:00.740 And now it's coming back to haunt him
00:08:02.520 because now he's up for the big office
00:08:04.300 and he's got the best chance that he's ever had of getting that big office.
00:08:07.520 And it's absolutely hilarious because he doesn't know what to say.
00:08:10.500 The guy ran in 88.
00:08:11.800 He got thrown out of the race for being a liar and a plagiarist.
00:08:14.560 He runs in 2008.
00:08:15.880 He was nothing.
00:08:16.640 Nobody cared about that candidacy.
00:08:17.960 He only became the vice president
00:08:19.500 because Barack Obama hates Hillary Clinton so much
00:08:21.860 he couldn't bear the thought of her being his vice president.
00:08:24.860 Then he runs in 2020 and he actually is the leader of the pack.
00:08:29.040 But what's he going to run on?
00:08:30.540 Politics has changed so much
00:08:32.280 and he has always moved with the wind in politics,
00:08:34.860 but he's been in it so long, 50 years,
00:08:37.140 that it looks absurd for Joe Biden to try to put on the pink hat
00:08:40.740 and look as woke as can be
00:08:42.060 when people know he hasn't been saying those things for his whole career.
00:08:45.300 The most hilarious version of this,
00:08:47.960 was when he was just recently asked
00:08:50.280 his opinion on gender identity and sexuality in prisons.
00:08:56.480 So specifically the question is,
00:08:58.600 right now there is a cultural movement,
00:09:02.940 an ideological movement to redefine sex to gender.
00:09:07.000 So sex is pretty clear.
00:09:09.520 You're a man or a woman.
00:09:10.400 A very, very small number of people have ambiguous genitalia
00:09:14.140 and another very small number of people,
00:09:17.300 though an increasing number of people,
00:09:18.960 suffer from something called gender confusion or gender dysphoria.
00:09:22.360 But there are two sexes, male and female,
00:09:27.560 man and woman.
00:09:29.700 We have a lot of legislation based on these sexes.
00:09:32.440 So, for instance, the Title IX legislation says
00:09:34.460 you won't discriminate on the basis of sex.
00:09:37.260 You set up sports leagues, for instance, for women,
00:09:39.960 because women are physically not as strong as men,
00:09:42.260 and so women get their own sports leagues.
00:09:44.840 By redefining sex into gender,
00:09:47.760 you obliterate those sexual protections.
00:09:49.660 So, if you redefine sex as gender,
00:09:52.320 all of a sudden the women's sports league ceases to exist
00:09:55.120 because men who identify as women
00:09:57.340 are allowed to participate in the women's sports league,
00:09:59.520 and guess what?
00:10:00.280 They're going to win statistically all of the time.
00:10:02.940 Why?
00:10:03.280 Because men and women are physically different,
00:10:05.400 and men are physically stronger than women.
00:10:07.940 That was the point of the legislation in the first place.
00:10:11.280 So now this kind of legislation,
00:10:13.020 this kind of ideology,
00:10:14.000 is reaching into the prisons.
00:10:16.440 What Biden was asked was,
00:10:18.160 do you think that men who identify as women,
00:10:22.700 who are convicts, who are going to prison,
00:10:25.620 should be housed in prison with women?
00:10:29.760 Should a guy, 6'2", 240 pounds,
00:10:33.780 double murderer, real tough, scary guy,
00:10:37.820 if he puts on a dress and a wig,
00:10:40.660 frankly, even if he doesn't,
00:10:42.180 but he identifies as a woman,
00:10:43.760 should he be housed in prisons with women?
00:10:46.740 What could go wrong, right?
00:10:47.620 What could possibly go wrong?
00:10:49.380 Obviously, this is a horrible idea.
00:10:51.360 It puts these women who are in prison
00:10:52.980 in incredible danger,
00:10:54.640 more danger than they're already in being in prison.
00:10:58.380 But because Joe Biden
00:10:59.780 doesn't actually believe in anything,
00:11:01.200 because he has no regard for the truth,
00:11:02.640 because he's willing to tell whatever sort of lies
00:11:04.680 the mob wants him to tell,
00:11:06.920 he goes along with this,
00:11:08.340 and he endorses putting male convicts
00:11:11.660 in the female prison.
00:11:12.480 In prison, the determination should be
00:11:15.380 that your sexual identity is defined
00:11:18.960 by what you say it is,
00:11:20.640 not what, in fact, the prison says it is.
00:11:23.380 And in that case, you should be entitled
00:11:25.240 also to OGBYN.
00:11:27.840 Anyway, you didn't ask that question,
00:11:30.120 but you're not likely to either, I guess.
00:11:32.100 So I love, he does the Biden thing,
00:11:33.980 which is, he doesn't understand this issue at all.
00:11:36.960 He obviously doesn't.
00:11:38.060 Frankly, no one understands this issue
00:11:39.480 because they keep changing it every day
00:11:40.840 on gender ideology.
00:11:42.020 So he says, okay, my advisors told me,
00:11:44.540 yeah, the identity of the gender,
00:11:46.680 that's, you've got to do that.
00:11:48.000 And so then the men have to go to the,
00:11:49.880 anyway, never, never mind.
00:11:51.780 And he always runs out of steam
00:11:53.880 because, first of all,
00:11:55.120 the things he's saying are ridiculous.
00:11:56.480 And even Joe Biden realizes
00:11:58.280 that they're going toward illogical ends,
00:12:02.120 but also because he doesn't really believe it.
00:12:04.580 And he didn't really believe
00:12:05.380 the thing he thought before.
00:12:06.340 He didn't really believe the thing
00:12:07.260 he thought before that.
00:12:08.520 This is obviously ridiculous,
00:12:09.840 but what does it mean?
00:12:11.600 What does it mean for that eternal truth
00:12:13.440 that lies have a price?
00:12:14.960 We'll get to that in a second.
00:12:15.720 First, I have to thank our friends
00:12:17.200 over at Lending Club.
00:12:19.740 Credit card debt can be very, very dangerous.
00:12:22.800 It is very easy to accumulate
00:12:24.500 lots of credit card debt.
00:12:26.480 Because you just go, you go in,
00:12:27.940 you buy it now, you pay for it later.
00:12:30.360 Everything will be fine.
00:12:31.740 But look, we can never predict the future.
00:12:33.620 Maybe you'll lose a job.
00:12:34.920 Maybe you won't have opportunities
00:12:36.700 to pay for that.
00:12:39.200 You don't want to get bogged down with that.
00:12:41.640 Credit card companies rope you in
00:12:43.480 and they leave out the part
00:12:45.300 about paying later with interest.
00:12:46.740 With Lending Club,
00:12:47.600 you can consolidate your debt
00:12:48.980 or pay off credit cards
00:12:50.020 with one fixed monthly payment.
00:12:52.640 Lending Club has helped millions of people
00:12:54.420 regain control of their finances
00:12:56.180 with affordable fixed rate personal loans.
00:12:58.840 No trips to the bank.
00:12:59.860 This is very important for me as a millennial
00:13:01.760 because I never want to leave my couch.
00:13:03.540 No high interest credit cards.
00:13:05.040 Just go to LendingClub.com.
00:13:07.020 Tell them about yourself.
00:13:08.060 Tell them how much you want to borrow.
00:13:09.440 Pick the terms that are right for you.
00:13:11.180 If you're approved,
00:13:11.980 your loan is automatically deposited
00:13:13.560 into your bank account
00:13:14.540 in as little as a few days.
00:13:16.440 Lending Club is the number one
00:13:17.780 peer-to-peer lending platform
00:13:18.980 with over $35 billion in loans issued.
00:13:22.560 Don't get into this awful credit card debt.
00:13:25.220 Don't unnecessarily throw your money
00:13:26.840 at the credit card companies
00:13:27.900 because you're paying high interest rates.
00:13:29.500 Doesn't have to be so hard to get out of debt.
00:13:31.660 With Lending Club,
00:13:32.600 go to LendingClub.com slash Knowles,
00:13:34.560 K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:13:35.700 Check your rate in minutes.
00:13:36.660 Borrow up to $40,000.
00:13:38.240 That is LendingClub.com slash Knowles,
00:13:40.640 LendingClub.com slash Knowles.
00:13:42.520 All loans made by WebBank member FDIC,
00:13:45.880 equal housing lender.
00:13:46.860 So Biden's statement
00:13:49.480 is obviously ridiculous.
00:13:52.620 But it shows you that difference.
00:13:54.280 What great statesmen do,
00:13:55.420 what significant political figures do
00:13:56.960 is they stand up for the truth
00:13:58.100 and they stand up for the vulnerable.
00:14:00.020 And what hacks do is
00:14:02.000 they don't even so much
00:14:03.920 always contradict the truth
00:14:05.420 as they just ignore it.
00:14:06.900 The greatest example of this,
00:14:08.180 the greatest example of a cynic in history
00:14:10.400 is Pontius Pilate.
00:14:12.280 Pontius Pilate,
00:14:13.200 when he's talking to Christ,
00:14:14.620 Christ says,
00:14:15.280 I come to bear witness to the truth.
00:14:18.320 And Pilate doesn't say,
00:14:19.680 no, you don't.
00:14:21.200 Or he doesn't say,
00:14:22.180 you're a liar.
00:14:23.380 He doesn't do that.
00:14:24.080 What he says is more damning.
00:14:26.160 He says,
00:14:26.880 what is truth?
00:14:29.260 Shrugs his shoulders,
00:14:30.600 walks away.
00:14:31.560 It's that flippancy
00:14:32.640 that makes you a cynic.
00:14:34.280 And that's what Joe Biden is.
00:14:36.680 That's been his career.
00:14:38.260 And now he's paying the price for that.
00:14:40.240 He's paying the price
00:14:41.040 not even for his active lies,
00:14:42.800 but for his acquiescence to lies,
00:14:45.420 his indifference for lies
00:14:47.040 and his indifference for the truth.
00:14:49.360 Lies have a price.
00:14:52.600 Lies can whip people up into a frenzy.
00:14:55.460 There is a new poll from Rasmussen.
00:14:58.440 You know,
00:14:58.860 everyone's been talking about climate change all week
00:15:01.340 because there were all these crazy climate change,
00:15:04.020 religious rituals going on over the weekend
00:15:06.080 and strange people dancing
00:15:07.760 and all sorts of bizarre activities.
00:15:10.660 There's a new Rasmussen poll out.
00:15:14.180 More than half of young voters
00:15:16.400 believe that humanity will be wiped out
00:15:19.240 within a decade or so.
00:15:22.620 That is an astounding number.
00:15:26.240 It's even a little crazy
00:15:28.560 when you look at the whole voting population.
00:15:32.140 This survey found that over the next 10 to 15 years,
00:15:35.140 29% of all voters,
00:15:37.620 of all voters,
00:15:38.780 believe it is at least somewhat likely
00:15:40.800 that the earth will become uninhabitable
00:15:43.080 and humanity will be wiped out.
00:15:45.480 Nearly 30% of all voters
00:15:48.940 think that within 10 to 15 years,
00:15:52.640 humanity will be wiped out.
00:15:53.880 Why do they think that?
00:15:55.380 Because cynical politicians
00:15:57.260 and exploitative politicians
00:15:58.840 go out there
00:15:59.980 and they tell us this all the time.
00:16:01.700 I mean,
00:16:01.940 they've been telling us this since the 1970s
00:16:03.940 and for some reason
00:16:04.860 their incorrect predictions
00:16:05.960 never seem to matter.
00:16:07.800 They just go back the next day
00:16:09.060 and make more incorrect predictions.
00:16:11.020 But we've been told by AOC,
00:16:12.540 very famously,
00:16:13.360 that the world is going to end in 12 years.
00:16:15.100 We were then told by Beto O'Rourke
00:16:16.560 the world is going to end in 10 years.
00:16:19.320 We were then told
00:16:20.280 by the UK's Prince Charles,
00:16:23.120 a whole slew of predictions,
00:16:25.140 could be 35 years,
00:16:26.160 could be 35 months,
00:16:27.140 could be 14 months,
00:16:28.020 could be...
00:16:28.440 They keep moving the goalposts.
00:16:29.880 AOC just said
00:16:30.720 that Miami is going to be underwater
00:16:32.300 within two years.
00:16:33.320 Why are they saying this?
00:16:34.740 Are they saying this
00:16:36.000 because they think it's true?
00:16:39.360 I don't think so.
00:16:40.840 I don't think that they really believe that.
00:16:43.020 If they did,
00:16:43.720 if they really believed that,
00:16:45.360 probably AOC would move out of New York.
00:16:47.960 I mean,
00:16:48.180 that's a pretty low area.
00:16:49.740 It's pretty close to the water.
00:16:50.780 She'd probably move a little more inland.
00:16:52.840 If they really believed
00:16:54.080 that we were on the brink of extinction,
00:16:56.900 the UK's Prince Harry,
00:16:58.000 who had been posting all over social media
00:17:01.240 about how we must protect the environment,
00:17:03.680 this is the most important issue of the day.
00:17:05.480 It then came out,
00:17:06.220 he flew on a private jet
00:17:07.160 four times in 11 days.
00:17:09.040 If they really were concerned about this,
00:17:12.200 they would do something much more
00:17:14.800 than this kind of shallow virtue signaling
00:17:17.560 and this fear-mongering.
00:17:19.140 I suspect what this is really about is
00:17:22.280 they don't know if the world is going to end
00:17:24.400 in, I don't know,
00:17:25.900 300, 400 years,
00:17:26.860 or if it's going to end at all.
00:17:28.100 They really have no idea
00:17:28.820 when it's going to end,
00:17:29.440 but I actually don't think they care.
00:17:31.840 I don't think it's about that at all.
00:17:33.800 I think they see climate change
00:17:36.060 as a very useful way
00:17:38.020 of getting, coincidentally,
00:17:39.980 all of the policies
00:17:40.940 that the left has wanted for 100 years
00:17:42.700 pushed through legislatures
00:17:45.360 and pushed through
00:17:46.640 the international community.
00:17:48.040 And so they're just going to say it.
00:17:49.980 Not because they think it's true,
00:17:51.640 not because they think it's wrong,
00:17:53.680 just because they're cynics,
00:17:55.620 just because it helps them.
00:17:58.000 It's politically convenient.
00:17:59.740 There's a cost to this.
00:18:01.800 If you now have 51% of voters
00:18:04.880 under 35
00:18:06.240 who believe that it is
00:18:07.920 at least somewhat likely
00:18:09.420 that humanity will be wiped out
00:18:11.140 in the next decade or so,
00:18:13.160 something has gone horribly wrong.
00:18:16.000 That is really detrimental to society.
00:18:18.900 That is really an awful thing to do,
00:18:21.320 to whip up half of the young population,
00:18:24.280 particularly young people
00:18:25.140 who are particularly vulnerable,
00:18:26.940 to whip them up into a frenzy
00:18:28.940 of anxiety and stress and despair
00:18:31.200 because they think that humanity
00:18:32.720 is going to be wiped off the earth
00:18:34.100 in a decade
00:18:35.040 just so that you can raise taxes,
00:18:37.880 just so that you can get
00:18:39.200 a little more control over industry,
00:18:41.660 just so that you can transfer wealth
00:18:43.620 from one group of people you don't like
00:18:45.140 to a group of people that you do like.
00:18:46.820 It's disgusting.
00:18:48.160 It's awful to do that.
00:18:50.060 That's what cynics do.
00:18:51.200 I don't think history
00:18:51.960 will look very kindly
00:18:52.820 on those people.
00:18:54.120 But they do a great job
00:18:55.380 of whipping up the mob.
00:18:56.560 And ironically,
00:18:57.540 it's the mob
00:18:58.120 who are being exploited here.
00:19:01.860 This tells you,
00:19:03.060 if you've got half people
00:19:04.460 or more than half
00:19:05.420 of young voters
00:19:06.280 who's thinking that humanity
00:19:08.560 will be wiped off
00:19:09.360 the face of the earth
00:19:10.000 within 10 years,
00:19:11.580 it shows you
00:19:12.420 that climate change
00:19:13.260 increasingly and finally
00:19:15.080 has ceased to be scientific.
00:19:17.100 It just isn't
00:19:19.640 a scientific matter at all.
00:19:21.440 If it were,
00:19:22.260 half of young voters
00:19:23.080 wouldn't think that humanity
00:19:24.120 is on the verge of extinction.
00:19:26.420 Climate change,
00:19:27.440 as we've been talking about all week,
00:19:29.240 is a religious movement.
00:19:32.140 That much is clear.
00:19:33.180 We've seen
00:19:33.700 the carbon indulgences.
00:19:35.700 You can buy a carbon offset
00:19:36.800 just like
00:19:37.340 in the medieval church
00:19:38.880 you could purchase indulgences
00:19:40.140 for your sins.
00:19:41.020 We've seen the public rituals.
00:19:42.780 We saw on NBC News
00:19:43.820 a climate confessional
00:19:45.240 where you can go in
00:19:46.460 and confess
00:19:47.400 your polluting sins
00:19:49.000 to the climate priests
00:19:50.680 at MSNBC
00:19:51.620 or NBC rather.
00:19:53.260 Obviously,
00:19:53.640 this irritates
00:19:54.180 the Protestant environmentalists
00:19:55.460 who want to
00:19:56.080 just confess directly
00:19:57.020 to Mother Earth.
00:19:58.360 Over the past several days,
00:19:59.740 we've seen a funeral
00:20:00.500 for a glacier.
00:20:01.420 I don't know
00:20:01.800 how you have a funeral
00:20:02.540 for a glacier.
00:20:03.240 I assume you don't
00:20:03.860 have a cremation,
00:20:05.080 but you have a funeral somehow.
00:20:06.600 We saw that in Switzerland.
00:20:08.240 Now we have a proposal
00:20:09.300 in Bloomberg
00:20:10.080 for a ritual
00:20:11.780 called Meatless Mondays.
00:20:13.780 The guy writing
00:20:14.360 in Bloomberg
00:20:14.800 suggested this.
00:20:15.700 The idea has been
00:20:16.160 floated around
00:20:16.680 for a while
00:20:17.140 and the idea is
00:20:17.780 you can eat meat
00:20:18.540 every day of the week,
00:20:19.960 but you can't eat meat
00:20:20.740 on Mondays.
00:20:22.480 Now,
00:20:22.940 this is ironic
00:20:23.820 because there was
00:20:25.580 a study in 2015
00:20:26.600 that came out
00:20:27.040 of Carnegie Mellon University
00:20:28.160 which suggested
00:20:29.660 that meatless diets
00:20:30.640 are actually worse
00:20:31.880 for the environment
00:20:32.620 than diets with meat
00:20:34.480 and American diets
00:20:35.360 have a lot of meat in it.
00:20:36.780 They found that
00:20:37.280 the meatless diets
00:20:38.040 actually result
00:20:39.060 in more carbon emissions.
00:20:41.040 They result
00:20:41.460 in a larger water footprint.
00:20:43.780 They result
00:20:44.180 in greater energy use.
00:20:45.700 So this is kind of funny.
00:20:46.460 I always love
00:20:46.780 these ironies
00:20:47.440 of the activists
00:20:49.720 who are so insistent
00:20:51.380 that we follow
00:20:51.840 one policy
00:20:52.460 that actually
00:20:53.140 is counterproductive
00:20:54.200 to their named goal.
00:20:56.780 But that really
00:20:57.640 isn't their goal
00:20:58.480 and the science
00:20:59.180 of it doesn't matter
00:20:59.900 and it doesn't matter
00:21:00.560 whether Meatless Mondays
00:21:01.360 help the environment
00:21:01.980 or hurt the environment
00:21:02.760 because the point
00:21:03.760 of Meatless Mondays,
00:21:05.160 the point
00:21:05.660 of the whole thing
00:21:06.900 is not to help
00:21:07.940 the environment.
00:21:08.800 The point
00:21:09.320 is to fulfill
00:21:10.200 a religious longing.
00:21:12.720 I'm Catholic.
00:21:13.980 I abstain from Meat
00:21:15.000 on Fridays
00:21:15.700 at least when I remember.
00:21:17.860 That's a religious discipline.
00:21:20.000 I like it.
00:21:21.400 If I were a leftist
00:21:22.720 or an environmentalist
00:21:23.660 I would abstain
00:21:24.240 from Meat on Mondays
00:21:25.140 because that's the day
00:21:26.320 they've chosen
00:21:26.900 to fulfill
00:21:28.120 their religious disciplines.
00:21:29.660 It's actually kind of funny
00:21:30.680 how directly analogous
00:21:33.740 the environmentalist movement
00:21:35.320 has become
00:21:35.800 to the Catholic Church
00:21:36.780 specifically.
00:21:37.640 You've got the confessionals,
00:21:38.780 you've got the indulgences,
00:21:40.000 you've got the abstaining
00:21:41.880 from Meat
00:21:42.280 on one day of the week.
00:21:44.060 I think some conservatives
00:21:45.140 are approaching this issue
00:21:46.120 in the wrong way though.
00:21:47.120 I think a lot of conservatives
00:21:48.220 are saying
00:21:48.780 because I think now
00:21:50.780 pretty much we all agree
00:21:51.600 climate change
00:21:52.240 has ceased to be scientific
00:21:53.540 when you spend
00:21:55.040 all of your time
00:21:56.120 convincing half of young voters
00:21:57.320 that the world
00:21:57.780 is going to end in 10 years.
00:21:58.780 You are no longer scientific.
00:22:00.460 You've moved into the realm
00:22:01.660 of something else,
00:22:02.700 something a little more cultish.
00:22:03.960 But what conservatives
00:22:07.080 are now saying
00:22:07.780 at least some of them
00:22:08.500 is they're saying
00:22:09.740 climate change
00:22:10.400 is a religion
00:22:11.120 as though that discredits it.
00:22:14.200 But I don't think
00:22:15.220 it discredits it.
00:22:17.040 I think actually
00:22:18.100 there's quite a lot
00:22:20.120 to be said here
00:22:20.880 and there's actually
00:22:21.760 a productive conclusion
00:22:23.640 from the idea
00:22:25.100 that climate change
00:22:25.720 is a religion.
00:22:26.220 We'll get to that
00:22:26.600 in a second
00:22:26.920 but first
00:22:27.340 I have got to thank
00:22:28.080 our friends
00:22:28.420 over at Vistaprint.
00:22:29.700 Your next opportunity
00:22:30.820 might be coming
00:22:32.240 right now
00:22:33.800 and Vistaprint
00:22:34.920 is here to help you
00:22:35.820 own the now
00:22:36.920 with free shipping
00:22:37.660 on any business card
00:22:39.080 in any quantity.
00:22:40.320 You know,
00:22:40.480 it's very important.
00:22:41.300 You never know
00:22:41.960 what is going to happen
00:22:43.160 in the future.
00:22:44.120 Sometimes you've got a guy
00:22:45.300 who's about to offer you a job
00:22:46.760 and you don't have
00:22:47.640 your business card.
00:22:48.720 Sometimes you lose a job
00:22:49.740 and you've got to meet a guy
00:22:50.480 who's going to offer you a job
00:22:51.380 and then you hand him
00:22:52.020 your business card.
00:22:52.760 But a lot of times
00:22:53.580 I don't have business cards on me
00:22:54.920 because I'm irresponsible.
00:22:56.340 So I have used Vistaprint
00:22:58.240 for, gosh,
00:23:00.420 at this point
00:23:00.840 probably eight or nine years.
00:23:03.280 When I have been
00:23:04.180 responsible enough
00:23:04.920 to order business cards
00:23:05.720 they have always been
00:23:07.020 unbelievably reliable.
00:23:09.200 They have been,
00:23:09.900 they're just the best
00:23:10.680 in the business.
00:23:11.280 You can choose
00:23:11.680 whatever style,

00:23:16.220 Because you can pick
00:23:17.000 the colors,
00:23:17.900 fonts,

00:24:41.520 and we really appreciate that.
00:24:45.620 A lot of conservatives
00:24:46.700 are saying global warming
00:24:47.820 is a religion
00:24:48.380 as if that somehow
00:24:49.220 discredits it.
00:24:51.060 I don't think so.
00:24:52.020 I think it actually
00:24:52.600 speaks pretty well
00:24:53.580 of global warming
00:24:55.300 or at least speaks
00:24:56.300 to a genuine longing
00:24:57.400 in leftists
00:24:59.380 which is human beings
00:25:01.080 are religious creatures.
00:25:03.900 It was Thomas Aquinas
00:25:04.820 who wrote that
00:25:05.540 or I don't know
00:25:06.140 one of those really smart
00:25:06.980 old religious guys.
00:25:08.540 Human beings
00:25:09.180 are religious creatures.
00:25:10.480 We have a natural longing
00:25:11.660 for religion
00:25:12.860 for the divine
00:25:13.700 for God.
00:25:14.620 It is just built into us.
00:25:15.860 That's why every single
00:25:16.740 civilization
00:25:17.260 everywhere in the world
00:25:18.240 has had religion
00:25:19.960 and religions that
00:25:20.940 are actually
00:25:21.720 somewhat recognizable
00:25:22.620 to one another.
00:25:25.200 Climate change
00:25:26.140 is religion
00:25:27.140 for the left.
00:25:28.220 It's religion
00:25:29.140 for atheists.
00:25:29.980 People who have
00:25:30.600 increasingly abandoned
00:25:31.640 religion over the past
00:25:32.640 4, 5, 6 decades.
00:25:34.700 And so they're
00:25:35.500 channeling it
00:25:36.160 into global warming.
00:25:38.960 They've got their
00:25:39.400 own apocalypse
00:25:39.900 which is apparently
00:25:40.820 going to happen
00:25:41.240 in 10 years
00:25:41.760 and wipe humanity
00:25:42.440 off the earth.
00:25:43.580 I don't know
00:25:43.920 what that rapture
00:25:44.500 is going to look like.
00:25:45.100 They've got their
00:25:45.500 own sacraments.
00:25:46.280 They've got their
00:25:46.660 own disciplines.
00:25:47.640 And by the way
00:25:48.400 the minute you
00:25:49.040 point this out
00:25:50.340 the minute you
00:25:50.840 criticize their cult
00:25:51.960 they lose it.
00:25:53.720 They go crazy.
00:25:54.700 They've got their
00:25:55.120 own secular saints
00:25:56.100 and they will
00:25:57.380 really come after you
00:25:58.280 not with the cool
00:25:59.480 reasoned
00:26:01.840 balanced approach
00:26:02.720 of people discussing
00:26:03.560 ideas
00:26:04.060 but they will
00:26:04.900 come after you
00:26:05.680 viciously
00:26:06.900 and violently
00:26:07.480 like cultists.
00:26:08.940 I don't even say
00:26:09.880 this to denigrate
00:26:10.600 them.
00:26:11.880 The challenge
00:26:12.500 for conservatives
00:26:13.200 is not to make fun
00:26:14.120 of them for being cultists.
00:26:15.580 The challenge
00:26:16.020 for conservatives
00:26:16.740 is to take
00:26:17.980 and persuade
00:26:18.780 the left's
00:26:20.020 natural religious
00:26:20.800 longings
00:26:21.320 and turn it
00:26:22.560 back toward
00:26:23.780 true religion.
00:26:25.800 Toward
00:26:26.220 I think actually
00:26:26.860 this is what a lot
00:26:27.480 of the white
00:26:27.840 privilege stuff
00:26:28.460 is about.
00:26:29.020 I think
00:26:29.260 when you talk
00:26:30.380 about white guilt
00:26:31.100 white privilege
00:26:31.860 skin privilege
00:26:32.660 all the identity
00:26:33.680 politics
00:26:34.220 it's all based
00:26:35.180 on physical
00:26:35.940 characteristics.
00:26:37.400 I just watched
00:26:37.820 Chelsea Handler's
00:26:38.560 horrific documentary
00:26:39.480 on privilege
00:26:40.080 and she left
00:26:41.820 an event
00:26:42.460 where people
00:26:42.880 were yelling
00:26:44.220 at her
00:26:44.460 for being white
00:26:45.080 and she said
00:26:46.360 I liked it
00:26:47.700 I liked that
00:26:48.620 they put me
00:26:49.060 in my place.
00:26:51.120 Again
00:26:51.520 we can make fun
00:26:52.100 of her for that
00:26:52.560 I'm sure
00:26:52.820 there's a lot
00:26:53.140 of psychology
00:26:53.580 there
00:26:53.900 but it actually
00:26:54.880 speaks to a
00:26:55.440 human longing.
00:26:56.140 We want to be
00:26:56.560 put in our
00:26:56.880 place in a way
00:26:57.560 because we all
00:26:58.700 intuit our own
00:27:00.000 brokenness
00:27:00.580 our own
00:27:00.900 fallenness
00:27:01.480 our own
00:27:01.940 imperfect nature
00:27:03.100 and the way
00:27:04.460 that this would
00:27:04.840 traditionally be
00:27:05.720 discussed
00:27:06.120 is in the
00:27:06.840 language of
00:27:07.240 original sin
00:27:08.240 or broken
00:27:10.100 human nature
00:27:10.800 or imperfect
00:27:11.420 ability
00:27:11.920 but because the
00:27:12.900 left now denies
00:27:14.140 metaphysical reality
00:27:15.220 because they deny
00:27:16.160 any spiritual
00:27:17.020 component to our
00:27:17.820 lives
00:27:18.180 and they think
00:27:18.800 we're all just
00:27:19.200 a clump of cells
00:27:20.000 and big meat
00:27:20.720 puppets moving
00:27:21.340 around in a
00:27:22.180 materialist universe
00:27:23.100 they can't trace
00:27:25.280 their feelings
00:27:26.100 of imperfection
00:27:27.960 the anxiety
00:27:28.820 that comes from
00:27:29.500 their fallenness
00:27:30.180 and original sin
00:27:30.900 they can't trace
00:27:31.800 it metaphysically
00:27:32.480 it has to become
00:27:33.820 physical
00:27:34.220 it has to be
00:27:35.760 your skin color
00:27:36.760 or your sex
00:27:37.740 or your genitals
00:27:39.640 or whatever
00:27:41.100 the religion has to
00:27:42.500 become a physical
00:27:43.120 religion that is
00:27:44.000 focused on the
00:27:44.580 creature
00:27:44.960 the creation
00:27:45.680 the earth
00:27:46.300 itself
00:27:46.780 rather than
00:27:47.920 the creator
00:27:48.760 in the metaphysical
00:27:49.500 and spiritual
00:27:50.000 world
00:27:50.420 that's a major
00:27:50.940 difference
00:27:51.360 it is a natural
00:27:52.500 consequence of
00:27:53.420 atheism
00:27:53.860 because everybody's
00:27:54.560 got to serve
00:27:55.000 somebody
00:27:55.420 it's a natural
00:27:56.240 consequence of
00:27:56.940 materialism
00:27:57.560 our challenge
00:27:58.480 is to
00:27:59.340 pull that back
00:28:00.900 our challenge
00:28:02.040 is to
00:28:02.640 turn the left
00:28:04.320 not just to mock
00:28:05.040 them but to turn
00:28:05.800 them back
00:28:06.160 toward a more
00:28:07.520 sophisticated
00:28:08.000 and a truer
00:28:08.960 metaphysical reality
00:28:10.860 some people
00:28:12.580 wonder
00:28:13.100 why climate
00:28:14.480 change relates
00:28:15.240 so directly
00:28:16.140 to leftism
00:28:16.940 beyond just
00:28:18.620 this
00:28:19.020 you know
00:28:20.940 religious
00:28:21.680 aspect
00:28:22.260 beyond the
00:28:22.940 metaphysical
00:28:23.400 aspect
00:28:23.820 it's because
00:28:26.040 the effect
00:28:26.860 of climate
00:28:27.520 change
00:28:27.880 hysteria
00:28:28.420 is just
00:28:29.720 coincidentally
00:28:30.380 to give
00:28:30.860 everything
00:28:31.200 to the left
00:28:32.080 that they've
00:28:32.460 wanted for
00:28:32.820 a hundred
00:28:33.060 years
00:28:33.420 George Will
00:28:34.500 famously called
00:28:35.320 it socialism
00:28:35.900 by the back
00:28:36.580 door
00:28:36.900 the term
00:28:38.940 they use
00:28:39.280 is science
00:28:39.840 denier
00:28:40.360 it's the same
00:28:41.700 sort of term
00:28:42.380 that now
00:28:44.100 they're applying
00:28:44.580 to us
00:28:44.940 because of
00:28:45.460 global warming
00:28:46.140 science
00:28:46.760 but this is
00:28:48.080 the same
00:28:48.340 term the left
00:28:48.800 applied to
00:28:49.380 their opponents
00:28:50.000 who opposed
00:28:51.220 communism
00:28:51.720 or socialism
00:28:52.280 for a century
00:28:53.020 because the idea
00:28:54.280 of Marxism
00:28:54.900 and communism
00:28:55.380 and socialism
00:28:55.980 is that
00:28:57.040 the left
00:28:57.780 had figured
00:28:58.300 out the
00:28:58.740 science of
00:28:59.380 history
00:28:59.760 you hear
00:29:00.740 Herbert Marcuse
00:29:01.960 talk about
00:29:02.500 this other
00:29:02.880 writers of the
00:29:03.560 new left
00:29:04.020 the old left
00:29:04.580 too
00:29:04.800 they figured
00:29:05.660 out the
00:29:05.880 science of
00:29:06.360 history
00:29:06.620 and so
00:29:06.860 if you
00:29:07.040 opposed
00:29:07.420 that
00:29:07.700 you
00:29:08.320 were
00:29:08.840 a science
00:29:10.100 denier
00:29:10.560 you had
00:29:11.100 American
00:29:11.940 journalists
00:29:12.600 go over
00:29:13.240 to the
00:29:13.520 Soviet
00:29:13.760 Union
00:29:14.100 and say
00:29:14.440 I've seen
00:29:15.100 the future
00:29:15.560 and it
00:29:15.860 works
00:29:16.220 that history
00:29:17.300 was just
00:29:17.600 going to be
00:29:17.900 on the
00:29:18.140 scientific
00:29:18.520 progression
00:29:19.140 that's why
00:29:19.840 Bill Buckley
00:29:20.320 when he
00:29:20.560 started the
00:29:20.940 National Review
00:29:21.560 said a
00:29:22.420 conservative
00:29:22.780 is one
00:29:23.120 who stands
00:29:23.500 athwart
00:29:23.760 history
00:29:24.080 yelling
00:29:24.340 stop
00:29:24.700 they've
00:29:25.160 been calling
00:29:25.520 us
00:29:25.700 science
00:29:26.120 deniers
00:29:26.600 forever
00:29:27.160 that's
00:29:27.780 built in
00:29:28.300 to their
00:29:28.760 own
00:29:29.160 ideology
00:29:29.960 we've
00:29:30.920 got to
00:29:31.120 break that
00:29:31.440 there's
00:29:31.620 nothing new
00:29:32.140 there's
00:29:32.580 not really
00:29:32.940 a new
00:29:33.180 challenge
00:29:33.520 even the
00:29:33.880 way they
00:29:34.120 come after
00:29:34.500 you
00:29:34.620 like a
00:29:34.900 mob
00:29:35.160 there's
00:29:35.720 nothing
00:29:35.920 really
00:29:36.120 new
00:29:36.340 about
00:29:36.600 that
00:29:36.800 either
00:29:37.120 you've
00:29:37.660 got to
00:29:37.880 stand
00:29:38.100 firm
00:29:38.440 and
00:29:38.880 we're
00:29:39.200 getting
00:29:39.320 great news
00:29:39.880 out of
00:29:40.060 the
00:29:40.160 White
00:29:40.340 House
00:29:40.560 which I
00:29:40.860 guess
00:29:41.020 is
00:29:41.120 actually
00:29:41.400 out of
00:29:41.620 the
00:29:41.740 UN
00:29:41.940 which
00:29:42.560 if I
00:29:42.820 have
00:29:42.960 my
00:29:43.140 way
00:29:43.320 someday
00:29:43.580 will
00:29:43.780 be
00:29:43.900 the
00:29:44.060 Trump
00:29:44.300 condominiums
00:29:45.220 on the
00:29:45.600 East
00:29:45.840 River
00:29:46.080 President
00:29:47.260 Trump
00:29:47.580 went over
00:29:48.060 to the
00:29:48.400 UN
00:29:48.620 yesterday
00:29:49.040 and he
00:29:49.740 did
00:29:49.960 just
00:29:50.220 that
00:29:50.420 he
00:29:50.560 stood
00:29:51.060 athwart
00:29:51.760 this
00:29:53.460 intersection
00:29:54.100 of the
00:29:54.500 climate
00:29:54.920 ideology
00:29:55.600 and the
00:29:56.160 leftist
00:29:56.520 politics
00:29:57.000 which are
00:29:57.420 really
00:29:57.700 the same
00:29:58.300 thing
00:29:58.640 he stood
00:29:59.440 athwart
00:29:59.780 it
00:29:59.920 in no
00:30:00.260 uncertain
00:30:00.600 terms
00:30:00.900 it was
00:30:01.100 an
00:30:01.260 excellent
00:30:01.580 performance
00:30:02.020 we'll get
00:30:02.520 to that
00:30:02.740 in a
00:30:02.920 second
00:30:03.180 we will
00:30:03.780 get to
00:30:04.320 what
00:30:04.940 scientists
00:30:05.340 have to
00:30:05.700 say
00:30:05.840 about
00:30:06.060 global
00:30:06.380 warming
00:30:06.680 and
00:30:07.940 we'll
00:30:08.260 get to
00:30:08.520 a whole
00:30:08.720 lot
00:30:08.880 more
00:30:09.080 but
00:30:09.260 first
00:30:09.740 I've
00:30:10.440 got to
00:30:10.620 say
00:30:10.720 goodbye
00:30:10.900 to
00:30:11.000 Facebook
00:30:11.260 and
00:30:11.440 YouTube
00:30:11.660 if
00:30:12.960 you're
00:30:13.240 on
00:30:13.340 Facebook
00:30:13.640 and
00:30:13.820 YouTube
00:30:14.000 go on
00:30:14.360 over
00:30:14.540 to
00:30:14.760 dailywire
00:30:15.300 dailywire.com
00:30:16.220 10 bucks
00:30:16.600 a month
00:30:16.840 $100
00:30:17.140 for an
00:30:17.660 annual
00:30:17.860 membership
00:30:18.240 you get
00:30:18.940 me
00:30:19.220 you get
00:30:20.060 the
00:30:20.140 Andrew
00:30:20.340 Klavan
00:30:20.640 show
00:30:20.860 you get
00:30:21.060 the
00:30:21.140 Ben Shapiro
00:30:21.560 show
00:30:21.740 you get
00:30:21.900 the
00:30:21.980 Matt
00:30:22.140 Walsh
00:30:22.380 show
00:30:22.480 you get
00:30:22.680 to ask
00:30:22.840 questions
00:30:23.200 in the
00:30:23.400 mailbag
00:30:23.740 that's
00:30:23.980 coming up
00:30:24.320 on
00:30:24.460 Thursday
00:30:24.740 you get
00:30:25.500 to ask
00:30:25.780 questions
00:30:26.240 backstage
00:30:26.860 you get
00:30:28.160 another
00:30:28.540 kingdom
00:30:28.860 which is
00:30:29.240 really
00:30:29.580 superb
00:30:30.320 and
00:30:31.400 you get
00:30:32.000 the
00:30:32.440 leftist
00:30:32.760 tears
00:30:32.960 tumbler
00:30:33.400 very
00:30:35.020 important
00:30:35.520 you know
00:30:36.660 the left
00:30:37.580 gets very
00:30:38.040 disappointed
00:30:38.540 these days
00:30:39.080 they thought
00:30:40.260 they had
00:30:40.540 a good
00:30:40.760 candidate
00:30:41.100 they were
00:30:41.360 going to
00:30:41.540 take
00:30:41.680 Trump
00:30:41.900 out of
00:30:42.080 the
00:30:42.180 White
00:30:42.360 House
00:30:42.560 they
00:30:42.740 think
00:30:43.140 they can
00:30:48.240 and then
00:30:48.580 the tears
00:30:49.060 flow
00:30:49.420 that's a
00:30:50.020 much bigger
00:30:50.460 tidal wave
00:30:51.040 than global
00:30:51.500 warming
00:30:51.860 and you're
00:30:52.900 only one of
00:30:53.500 them is
00:30:53.720 going to
00:30:53.960 drown you
00:30:54.380 so make
00:30:54.660 sure you
00:30:54.880 get your
00:30:55.140 leftist
00:30:55.440 tears
00:30:55.600 tumbler
00:30:55.980 so that
00:30:56.460 you stay
00:30:56.820 nice and
00:30:57.240 safe
00:30:57.420 head to
00:30:57.700 dailywire.com
00:30:58.480 we'll be
00:30:59.180 right back
00:30:59.560 with a lot
00:30:59.900 more
00:31:00.160 President Trump
00:31:11.780 went to the
00:31:12.320 UN yesterday
00:31:12.960 and he
00:31:13.420 tackled this
00:31:14.020 issue
00:31:14.280 head on
00:31:14.760 because what
00:31:15.160 the left
00:31:15.460 wants you
00:31:15.820 to believe
00:31:16.240 is that
00:31:17.220 there is
00:31:18.400 a scientific
00:31:19.040 consensus
00:31:19.620 as though
00:31:20.500 science were
00:31:20.940 made by
00:31:21.280 consensus
00:31:21.700 that the
00:31:22.540 world is
00:31:22.960 going to
00:31:23.140 end in
00:31:23.480 10 years
00:31:23.940 nobody
00:31:25.040 thinks that
00:31:25.620 no scientist
00:31:26.780 not one
00:31:27.540 actual scientist
00:31:28.500 thinks that
00:31:29.320 the human
00:31:29.780 race will
00:31:30.640 be extinct
00:31:31.340 in 10
00:31:32.500 years
00:31:32.860 even though
00:31:33.260 that's what
00:31:33.560 politicians
00:31:34.040 are selling
00:31:34.560 us
00:31:34.840 even though
00:31:35.600 that's what
00:31:35.920 half of
00:31:36.280 young voters
00:31:36.800 apparently
00:31:37.340 believe
00:31:37.840 totally
00:31:39.760 unscientific
00:31:40.480 but what
00:31:40.800 the left
00:31:41.360 wants you
00:31:41.660 to think
00:31:41.960 is that
00:31:42.200 climate
00:31:42.480 change
00:31:42.800 is this
00:31:43.080 scientific
00:31:43.560 issue
00:31:43.960 look it's
00:31:44.340 just the
00:31:44.620 science
00:31:44.920 no politics
00:31:45.840 involved
00:31:46.280 and hey
00:31:46.900 coincidentally
00:31:47.620 because of
00:31:48.620 that science
00:31:49.280 you need
00:31:50.360 to give
00:31:50.700 us
00:31:51.080 higher
00:31:52.080 taxes
00:31:52.640 the
00:31:53.120 redistribution
00:31:53.780 of wealth
00:31:54.280 reparations
00:31:54.980 for slavery
00:31:55.540 for some
00:31:55.980 reason
00:31:56.220 that's in
00:31:56.620 that's in
00:31:57.080 a lot of
00:31:57.680 the green
00:31:58.020 new deal
00:31:58.400 like proposals
00:31:59.140 not sure
00:31:59.520 why but
00:32:00.000 it is
00:32:00.400 you need
00:32:01.600 to give
00:32:01.940 us
00:32:02.340 open borders
00:32:03.780 you need
00:32:04.220 to give
00:32:04.500 us
00:32:04.780 greater
00:32:05.340 international
00:32:05.980 control
00:32:06.400 of government
00:32:06.880 you need
00:32:07.180 to surrender
00:32:07.600 some of
00:32:07.960 your sovereignty
00:32:08.560 you need
00:32:09.160 to surrender
00:32:09.680 some of
00:32:10.080 your power
00:32:10.880 when it
00:32:11.200 comes to
00:32:11.500 negotiating
00:32:11.900 trade
00:32:12.220 deals
00:32:12.400 you need
00:32:12.640 to do
00:32:12.900 all of
00:32:13.280 this
00:32:13.520 because of
00:32:14.420 the science
00:32:14.900 what does
00:32:15.600 any of that
00:32:16.120 have to do
00:32:16.540 with science
00:32:17.540 I don't
00:32:17.860 see
00:32:18.100 they say
00:32:18.880 no no
00:32:19.140 you just
00:32:19.400 have to
00:32:19.740 that's
00:32:20.060 the natural
00:32:20.960 progression
00:32:21.880 and so
00:32:23.180 the UN
00:32:23.600 is a great
00:32:24.020 place to do
00:32:24.520 this
00:32:24.680 this is why
00:32:25.080 the UN
00:32:25.500 has led
00:32:26.260 the way
00:32:26.640 talking about
00:32:27.200 global warming
00:32:27.860 it just
00:32:28.700 coincidentally
00:32:29.300 global warming
00:32:31.600 alarmism
00:32:32.140 achieves all
00:32:32.820 of the UN's
00:32:33.440 goals for a
00:32:33.940 very long
00:32:34.240 time
00:32:34.540 so President
00:32:35.700 Trump goes
00:32:36.120 to the UN
00:32:36.560 and he's not
00:32:37.180 fooled by this
00:32:37.880 false distinction
00:32:38.640 without a
00:32:39.080 difference
00:32:39.400 he goes at
00:32:40.280 it head on
00:32:40.800 and he says
00:32:41.680 using one
00:32:43.920 term
00:32:44.340 globalist
00:32:45.440 he sums
00:32:46.260 it all
00:32:46.600 up
00:32:46.900 and he
00:32:47.500 makes clear
00:32:48.160 the future
00:32:49.380 does not
00:32:50.400 belong
00:32:50.960 to the
00:32:51.860 globalists
00:32:52.480 here he is
00:32:53.040 the truth
00:32:54.100 is plain
00:32:54.640 to see
00:32:55.180 if you
00:32:56.700 want
00:32:56.940 freedom
00:32:57.400 take pride
00:32:59.020 in your
00:32:59.380 country
00:32:59.820 if you
00:33:01.320 want
00:33:01.560 democracy
00:33:02.260 hold on
00:33:03.940 to your
00:33:04.320 sovereignty
00:33:04.900 and if you
00:33:06.400 want peace
00:33:07.140 love
00:33:08.420 your nation
00:33:09.620 wise leaders
00:33:12.200 always put
00:33:13.380 the good
00:33:13.900 of their
00:33:14.480 own people
00:33:15.140 and their
00:33:16.660 own country
00:33:17.460 first
00:33:18.160 the future
00:33:19.940 does not
00:33:20.860 belong to
00:33:21.500 globalists
00:33:22.260 the future
00:33:23.700 belongs to
00:33:24.500 patriots
00:33:25.200 the future
00:33:26.640 belongs to
00:33:27.360 sovereign and
00:33:28.060 independent
00:33:28.580 nations
00:33:29.180 who protect
00:33:31.420 their citizens
00:33:32.180 respect their
00:33:33.160 neighbors
00:33:33.720 and honor
00:33:35.160 the differences
00:33:35.880 that make
00:33:36.600 each country
00:33:37.380 special
00:33:39.000 and unique
00:33:40.200 absolutely
00:33:41.500 beautiful
00:33:43.100 spot
00:33:44.240 on
00:33:45.080 you know
00:33:45.580 there's a
00:33:46.500 defeater for
00:33:47.240 this whole
00:33:47.680 climate change
00:33:48.400 argument to
00:33:48.960 begin with
00:33:49.480 what we're
00:33:50.120 told by the
00:33:51.180 global
00:33:52.140 climate change
00:33:53.420 movement
00:33:53.760 is we've got
00:33:54.660 to stop
00:33:55.040 Trump
00:33:55.320 Trump is
00:33:55.780 destroying
00:33:56.280 the world
00:33:56.900 that's what
00:33:57.480 some people
00:33:58.020 have said
00:33:58.820 even on
00:33:59.180 television
00:33:59.580 Trump is
00:34:00.120 destroying
00:34:00.420 the world
00:34:00.820 and yet
00:34:01.560 they blame
00:34:03.840 Trump for
00:34:04.320 pulling out
00:34:04.700 of the
00:34:04.920 Paris
00:34:05.220 climate
00:34:05.620 accord
00:34:06.000 they said
00:34:06.740 that's it
00:34:07.160 that's going
00:34:07.540 to ruin
00:34:07.880 the whole
00:34:08.120 world
00:34:08.460 year or two
00:34:10.360 after Trump
00:34:10.880 pulled out
00:34:11.180 of that
00:34:11.400 global
00:34:11.920 climate
00:34:12.620 accord
00:34:12.960 they looked
00:34:14.040 at the
00:34:14.260 numbers
00:34:14.640 turned out
00:34:16.100 the United
00:34:16.840 States
00:34:17.180 not only
00:34:17.840 didn't
00:34:19.300 put more
00:34:20.320 carbon
00:34:20.720 into the
00:34:21.080 air
00:34:21.280 didn't
00:34:21.640 pollute
00:34:21.960 more
00:34:22.300 than they
00:34:22.620 had
00:34:22.780 previously
00:34:23.280 the US
00:34:24.400 actually
00:34:25.260 led
00:34:25.960 the world
00:34:26.760 in reducing
00:34:27.480 their carbon
00:34:28.100 emissions
00:34:28.600 even as
00:34:30.260 they pulled
00:34:30.620 out of the
00:34:30.940 global
00:34:31.180 climate
00:34:31.500 accord
00:34:31.760 and
00:34:32.100 actually
00:34:32.620 a number
00:34:33.200 of nations
00:34:33.800 including
00:34:34.200 western
00:34:34.620 European
00:34:35.120 nations
00:34:35.620 who signed
00:34:36.340 on to the
00:34:36.720 global
00:34:36.980 climate
00:34:37.300 accord
00:34:37.620 not only
00:34:38.280 didn't
00:34:38.580 follow
00:34:38.900 what they
00:34:39.200 agreed to
00:34:39.700 they actually
00:34:40.400 increased
00:34:41.040 their polluting
00:34:41.960 so what
00:34:42.240 Trump is
00:34:42.580 saying
00:34:42.920 a system
00:34:43.720 of free
00:34:44.040 and sovereign
00:34:44.440 nations
00:34:44.940 with self-government
00:34:46.100 is the best way
00:34:47.100 to have a good
00:34:47.580 peaceful future
00:34:48.820 I mean that applies
00:34:50.420 apparently quite
00:34:51.900 literally to the
00:34:52.680 climate change issue
00:34:53.540 because what is the
00:34:54.980 opposite of a free
00:34:55.620 and sovereign nation
00:34:56.240 you've got China
00:34:57.000 China
00:34:57.780 leftism taken to
00:34:59.680 its logical
00:35:00.280 extreme
00:35:00.780 an actual
00:35:01.760 communist country
00:35:02.740 leading the world
00:35:05.600 by many
00:35:06.160 multiples
00:35:06.640 in their
00:35:07.380 pollution
00:35:07.820 we could all
00:35:08.940 stop polluting
00:35:09.580 tomorrow
00:35:09.980 we could all
00:35:10.440 just sit
00:35:10.920 and stop
00:35:11.560 breathing
00:35:11.840 and hold
00:35:12.140 our breath
00:35:12.560 wouldn't do
00:35:14.200 anything
00:35:15.140 because China
00:35:16.000 has such a
00:35:17.120 disproportionate
00:35:17.760 effect
00:35:18.060 that's not what
00:35:19.420 it's about
00:35:19.800 it's not about
00:35:20.820 the environment
00:35:21.380 what it is about
00:35:22.960 is the globalism
00:35:24.880 it is the leftism
00:35:25.900 it is you use
00:35:26.500 whatever term
00:35:27.760 you want to use
00:35:28.340 Trump sees that
00:35:30.180 and for people
00:35:31.160 who say
00:35:32.640 Trump is adult
00:35:33.440 he doesn't know
00:35:33.860 anything about
00:35:34.220 politics
00:35:34.680 he doesn't really
00:35:35.380 know about his
00:35:35.840 opponents
00:35:36.140 he doesn't know
00:35:36.460 what he's doing
00:35:36.920 that is a
00:35:38.040 sophisticated
00:35:38.680 conclusion to
00:35:41.080 reach
00:35:41.360 not a lot of
00:35:42.360 people understand
00:35:43.180 that relationship
00:35:44.120 that climate
00:35:46.160 change hysteria
00:35:47.160 is socialism
00:35:47.780 by the back
00:35:48.400 door
00:35:48.640 not a lot of
00:35:49.220 people have
00:35:49.660 put their
00:35:49.960 finger on that
00:35:50.540 he has
00:35:51.280 he gets it
00:35:51.740 and he's
00:35:51.940 speaking
00:35:52.240 very bluntly
00:35:53.560 and he's
00:35:53.780 speaking about
00:35:54.200 protecting the
00:35:54.720 country
00:35:54.920 it's a
00:35:55.180 beautiful thing
00:35:55.720 that's a
00:35:56.460 real statesman
00:35:57.100 someone who
00:35:57.860 stands athwart
00:35:58.440 the mob
00:35:58.880 stands up
00:35:59.780 for the
00:36:00.020 truth
00:36:00.320 at least
00:36:01.460 in this
00:36:01.720 regard
00:36:02.000 he has
00:36:02.300 a unique
00:36:02.780 relationship
00:36:03.240 to the
00:36:03.560 truth
00:36:03.740 when it
00:36:03.960 comes to
00:36:04.260 some
00:36:04.520 personal
00:36:04.800 matters
00:36:05.140 maybe
00:36:05.460 but when it
00:36:07.060 comes to
00:36:07.440 matters
00:36:07.800 of actual
00:36:08.780 statecraft
00:36:10.160 and the
00:36:11.760 importance
00:36:12.220 of our
00:36:12.880 country
00:36:13.260 he's
00:36:13.880 really risen
00:36:14.660 to the
00:36:14.920 occasion
00:36:15.200 and it's
00:36:15.740 something
00:36:15.900 to be
00:36:16.160 applauded
00:36:16.580 meanwhile
00:36:17.320 you got
00:36:17.660 climate
00:36:17.960 scientists
00:36:18.440 actual
00:36:18.740 climate
00:36:19.080 scientists
00:36:19.500 500
00:36:19.860 of them
00:36:20.300 sent a
00:36:20.640 letter
00:36:20.860 basically
00:36:22.900 begging for
00:36:23.520 an end
00:36:23.900 to all
00:36:24.220 this
00:36:24.360 cultishness
00:36:24.920 here's
00:36:25.140 what the
00:36:25.540 declaration
00:36:25.920 states
00:36:26.420 climate
00:36:27.020 science
00:36:27.340 should be
00:36:27.580 less
00:36:27.780 political
00:36:28.200 while climate
00:36:28.780 policies
00:36:29.220 should be
00:36:29.580 more
00:36:29.780 scientific
00:36:30.240 scientists
00:36:31.420 should openly
00:36:32.420 address the
00:36:32.940 uncertainties
00:36:33.460 and exaggerations
00:36:34.360 in their
00:36:34.820 predictions of
00:36:35.360 global warming
00:36:35.940 while politicians
00:36:36.960 should dispassionately
00:36:38.220 count the real
00:36:39.300 benefits as well
00:36:40.480 as the maligned
00:36:41.080 costs of
00:36:41.680 adaptation to
00:36:42.340 global warming
00:36:42.960 and the real
00:36:43.700 costs as well
00:36:44.580 as the imagined
00:36:45.240 benefits of
00:36:46.380 mitigation
00:36:47.000 they say
00:36:48.480 they say
00:36:48.500 the importance
00:36:49.340 here
00:36:49.660 the important
00:36:50.560 thing to
00:36:50.860 do
00:36:51.040 is not
00:36:51.580 rush
00:36:52.140 into
00:36:52.800 some
00:36:53.220 crazy
00:36:53.740 policy
00:36:54.260 that
00:36:54.540 likely
00:36:55.040 wouldn't
00:36:55.280 have any
00:36:55.560 effect
00:36:55.800 on the
00:36:55.980 climate
00:36:56.200 anyway
00:36:56.600 but to
00:36:57.400 understand
00:36:57.800 the facts
00:36:58.280 to let
00:36:58.600 science
00:36:59.040 pursue
00:36:59.440 scientific
00:36:59.980 inquiry
00:37:00.420 and not
00:37:01.160 get so
00:37:01.480 mixed up
00:37:01.960 in politics
00:37:02.860 as it
00:37:03.240 obviously
00:37:03.820 has been
00:37:04.380 because the
00:37:04.980 entire
00:37:05.380 global warming
00:37:06.040 movement
00:37:06.400 is led
00:37:07.140 by politicians
00:37:07.940 and the
00:37:08.860 tools of
00:37:09.260 politicians
00:37:09.700 there is
00:37:11.200 no
00:37:11.500 statistical
00:37:12.040 evidence
00:37:12.660 that global
00:37:13.240 warming
00:37:13.600 is
00:37:14.080 intensifying
00:37:14.860 hurricanes
00:37:15.380 they write
00:37:15.820 floods
00:37:16.240 droughts
00:37:17.320 and such
00:37:18.060 like
00:37:18.340 natural
00:37:18.740 disasters
00:37:19.340 or making
00:37:20.100 them
00:37:20.400 more
00:37:20.760 frequent
00:37:21.180 however
00:37:22.140 CO2
00:37:22.700 mitigation
00:37:23.080 measures
00:37:23.560 are as
00:37:24.180 damaging
00:37:24.560 as they
00:37:25.000 are
00:37:25.140 costly
00:37:25.580 for instance
00:37:26.220 wind turbines
00:37:27.200 kill birds
00:37:27.840 and bats
00:37:28.320 those poor
00:37:28.740 guys
00:37:29.020 and palm oil
00:37:29.860 plants
00:37:30.200 destroy the
00:37:30.700 biodiversity
00:37:31.100 of the
00:37:31.460 rainforests
00:37:32.220 life is
00:37:32.660 complex
00:37:33.140 is what
00:37:33.500 they're
00:37:33.640 saying
00:37:33.940 certainly
00:37:34.760 this is
00:37:35.140 true
00:37:35.380 in the
00:37:35.980 most
00:37:36.240 complex
00:37:36.640 system
00:37:37.020 we have
00:37:37.320 on earth
00:37:37.660 namely
00:37:38.020 our
00:37:38.320 climate
00:37:38.680 unfortunately
00:37:39.800 no one's
00:37:40.200 reading this
00:37:40.680 no one
00:37:41.120 pays attention
00:37:41.640 because no
00:37:42.020 one cares
00:37:42.300 about the
00:37:42.620 science
00:37:42.960 because all
00:37:43.480 they care
00:37:43.780 about
00:37:44.020 is the
00:37:44.300 politics
00:37:44.760 and at
00:37:45.500 the end
00:37:45.720 of that
00:37:45.980 their
00:37:46.240 religion
00:37:46.640 there is
00:37:47.980 a lot
00:37:48.540 more
00:37:48.780 going on
00:37:49.280 in this
00:37:49.660 Ukraine
00:37:49.980 scandal
00:37:50.440 we'll get
00:37:51.400 to it
00:37:51.640 a little
00:37:51.980 bit more
00:37:52.420 in depth
00:37:52.960 but what
00:37:54.420 should be
00:37:54.840 noted
00:37:55.040 there are
00:37:55.320 reports
00:37:55.640 out today
00:37:56.080 the pressure
00:37:57.820 on Ukraine
00:37:58.840 that Joe
00:38:01.000 Biden is
00:38:01.440 now in
00:38:01.700 trouble for
00:38:02.140 began as
00:38:02.840 early as
00:38:03.460 January
00:38:03.860 2016
00:38:04.500 when the
00:38:05.880 Obama
00:38:06.160 White House
00:38:06.700 invited
00:38:07.720 Ukraine's
00:38:08.260 top
00:38:08.460 prosecutors
00:38:08.980 to
00:38:09.220 Washington
00:38:09.640 to discuss
00:38:10.580 fighting
00:38:10.940 corruption
00:38:11.360 in the
00:38:11.600 country
00:38:11.900 this is
00:38:12.560 right around
00:38:13.020 the time
00:38:13.560 that the
00:38:14.840 prosecutors
00:38:15.340 are looking
00:38:15.760 into Joe
00:38:16.200 Biden's
00:38:16.560 son for
00:38:16.860 all of
00:38:17.040 his shady
00:38:17.380 and obviously
00:38:17.880 corrupt
00:38:18.220 business
00:38:18.580 dealings
00:38:19.040 the meeting
00:38:20.140 was sort
00:38:20.500 of a
00:38:20.680 surprise
00:38:21.280 turned out
00:38:22.580 to be
00:38:23.140 basically
00:38:24.240 just setting
00:38:24.760 the stage
00:38:25.380 for
00:38:26.140 Biden
00:38:27.140 through the
00:38:27.660 White House
00:38:28.080 to pressure
00:38:28.780 Ukraine
00:38:29.160 to drop
00:38:29.540 the inquiry
00:38:29.980 into his
00:38:30.520 son
00:38:30.780 but because
00:38:32.400 of this
00:38:32.720 meeting
00:38:32.960 this implicates
00:38:33.620 a lot
00:38:33.840 of other
00:38:34.080 people
00:38:34.300 this implicates
00:38:34.960 the Obama
00:38:35.460 White House
00:38:35.960 this implicates
00:38:36.900 people around
00:38:37.480 Joe Biden
00:38:37.960 this shows
00:38:38.660 this wasn't
00:38:39.200 just some
00:38:39.980 coincidence
00:38:41.760 and he
00:38:42.220 happened
00:38:42.440 to be
00:38:42.680 in Ukraine
00:38:43.080 and he
00:38:43.380 said
00:38:43.540 drop
00:38:43.840 it
00:38:43.980 this was
00:38:44.340 planned
00:38:44.860 this
00:38:45.160 this
00:38:45.900 contradicts
00:38:46.600 a lot
00:38:46.780 of what
00:38:47.000 Joe Biden
00:38:47.360 has told
00:38:47.800 us
00:38:48.080 it shows
00:38:49.140 us something
00:38:49.500 very important
00:38:50.160 because you see
00:38:51.720 first of all
00:38:52.200 you see
00:38:52.520 the Obama
00:38:53.240 White House
00:38:53.600 colluding
00:38:53.900 with the
00:38:54.160 Ukrainians
00:38:54.640 whatever that
00:38:56.300 means
00:38:56.620 and then
00:38:57.160 you see
00:38:58.300 Biden
00:38:59.020 colluding
00:38:59.360 with the
00:38:59.640 Ukrainians
00:39:00.220 then they're
00:39:00.620 accusing
00:39:00.860 Trump
00:39:01.140 of colluding
00:39:01.520 with the
00:39:01.820 Ukrainians
00:39:02.220 all this
00:39:02.500 collusion
00:39:02.880 what it
00:39:04.620 shows you
00:39:04.960 about the
00:39:05.220 left
00:39:05.380 is they
00:39:05.640 accuse you
00:39:06.520 of doing
00:39:07.180 what they
00:39:07.840 themselves
00:39:08.440 are doing
00:39:09.040 that's
00:39:09.440 this is
00:39:09.980 an eternal
00:39:11.100 truth of
00:39:11.540 politics
00:39:11.960 if you
00:39:13.020 are colluding
00:39:13.520 with a
00:39:13.780 foreign
00:39:13.980 government
00:39:14.360 you accuse
00:39:15.420 your opponent
00:39:15.820 of colluding
00:39:16.200 with a
00:39:16.440 foreign
00:39:16.640 government
00:39:16.980 Barack
00:39:17.420 Obama
00:39:17.740 was caught
00:39:18.160 on a
00:39:18.420 hot mic
00:39:18.900 saying
00:39:19.260 I'll give
00:39:19.900 you a
00:39:20.180 special
00:39:20.480 deal
00:39:20.840 Mr.
00:39:22.080 Medvedev
00:39:22.520 of Russia
00:39:22.960 I'll give
00:39:23.280 you a
00:39:23.500 special
00:39:23.760 deal
00:39:23.980 but I'm
00:39:24.220 not going
00:39:24.500 to tell
00:39:24.700 the
00:39:24.840 voters
00:39:25.140 because I'm
00:39:26.480 up for
00:39:26.740 re-election
00:39:27.200 but I'm
00:39:27.520 going to give
00:39:27.740 you a
00:39:27.960 special
00:39:28.200 deal
00:39:28.480 actual
00:39:29.120 collusion
00:39:29.560 on tape
00:39:30.000 what did
00:39:30.620 they do
00:39:30.880 they spent
00:39:31.180 three years
00:39:31.700 accusing
00:39:32.100 Trump
00:39:32.380 of colluding
00:39:32.780 with Russia
00:39:33.240 we have
00:39:34.380 documentary
00:39:35.340 evidence
00:39:35.880 that
00:39:37.080 Joe Biden
00:39:38.200 and the
00:39:38.500 Obama
00:39:38.760 White House
00:39:39.220 pressured
00:39:39.640 Ukraine
00:39:40.040 to drop
00:39:40.460 a corruption
00:39:40.880 scandal
00:39:41.360 into his
00:39:42.400 son
00:39:42.720 what do
00:39:43.680 they do
00:39:43.960 they accuse
00:39:44.680 Donald Trump
00:39:45.320 of colluding
00:39:45.760 with the
00:39:46.060 Ukrainians
00:39:46.600 if you're
00:39:47.880 wielding
00:39:48.360 the
00:39:48.760 government
00:39:49.540 for your
00:39:49.900 political
00:39:50.220 purposes
00:39:50.700 you accuse
00:39:51.840 your opponent
00:39:52.320 of doing
00:39:53.300 that very
00:39:53.640 same thing
00:39:54.160 if you are
00:39:54.620 abusing
00:39:55.020 children
00:39:55.420 you accuse
00:39:55.900 your opponent
00:39:56.340 of that
00:39:56.940 very same
00:39:57.480 thing
00:39:57.680 it's what
00:39:58.040 the left
00:39:58.380 does
00:39:58.720 that is
00:39:59.160 the
00:39:59.280 hallmark
00:39:59.620 of what
00:39:59.900 they do
00:40:00.280 and
00:40:01.020 we should
00:40:02.340 call them
00:40:02.660 out for
00:40:03.000 it
00:40:03.100 we should
00:40:03.300 expect it
00:40:03.960 it's
00:40:04.280 guaranteed
00:40:04.700 and when
00:40:05.500 they get
00:40:06.580 upset
00:40:06.900 because you
00:40:07.280 call them
00:40:07.580 out for it
00:40:07.980 I think
00:40:08.240 you know
00:40:08.420 you're
00:40:08.560 above the
00:40:08.880 target
00:40:09.140 we've got
00:40:09.920 to talk
00:40:10.180 about
00:40:10.380 Michelle
00:40:10.700 Williams
00:40:11.140 and the
00:40:11.460 culture
00:40:11.760 Michelle
00:40:12.840 Williams
00:40:13.320 is
00:40:14.060 somebody
00:40:14.580 I guess
00:40:14.960 she's a
00:40:15.240 Hollywood
00:40:15.460 somebody
00:40:15.820 don't even
00:40:16.220 know her
00:40:16.520 she won
00:40:17.180 an Emmy
00:40:17.520 award
00:40:17.860 and she
00:40:18.720 she exposed
00:40:21.700 in a
00:40:22.260 hilarious
00:40:22.680 way
00:40:23.160 the theme
00:40:24.440 of what
00:40:24.680 we're talking
00:40:25.100 about today
00:40:25.520 the price
00:40:26.000 of lies
00:40:26.460 because
00:40:26.900 as she's
00:40:27.260 standing up
00:40:27.780 there
00:40:28.100 holding
00:40:28.560 a glittering
00:40:29.540 gold
00:40:29.800 statue
00:40:30.240 in the
00:40:31.000 fanciest
00:40:31.940 most
00:40:32.760 glamorous
00:40:33.380 place
00:40:33.880 on earth
00:40:34.420 getting awarded
00:40:35.320 for making
00:40:35.980 believe
00:40:36.520 she used
00:40:37.960 that opportunity
00:40:38.640 to complain
00:40:39.520 about an
00:40:40.440 imaginary
00:40:40.820 problem
00:40:41.300 when you put
00:40:42.400 value into
00:40:43.420 a person
00:40:44.160 it empowers
00:40:45.380 that person
00:40:46.100 to get in touch
00:40:47.260 with their own
00:40:47.920 inherent value
00:40:48.700 and then where do they put
00:40:49.480 that value
00:40:49.920 they put it into
00:40:50.720 their work
00:40:51.280 and so the next
00:40:52.300 time a woman
00:40:53.040 and especially
00:40:53.740 a woman of
00:40:54.380 color
00:40:54.700 because she
00:40:55.700 stands to make
00:40:56.340 52 cents
00:40:57.320 on the dollar
00:40:57.960 compared to her
00:40:58.680 white male
00:40:59.600 counterpart
00:41:00.400 tells you
00:41:01.920 what she needs
00:41:03.060 in order to do
00:41:03.980 her job
00:41:04.640 listen to her
00:41:06.060 that's what it is
00:41:07.380 I just got this
00:41:08.220 glittering gold
00:41:08.880 statue for making
00:41:09.800 believe I'm living
00:41:10.640 the dream all over
00:41:11.500 but I am going to
00:41:12.540 complain
00:41:13.040 about
00:41:14.540 the so-called
00:41:16.500 wage gap
00:41:17.320 except
00:41:18.580 and so what she's
00:41:19.340 saying is the wage
00:41:19.920 gap is bad for men
00:41:20.660 and women
00:41:20.940 but it's especially
00:41:21.560 bad for white men
00:41:22.560 and women of color
00:41:23.260 the problem
00:41:24.300 with the wage gap
00:41:25.460 this canard
00:41:26.600 that won't go away
00:41:27.600 is it doesn't exist
00:41:29.580 they have a point
00:41:31.820 in that
00:41:32.380 there is a difference
00:41:34.520 if you look at
00:41:34.920 the average woman
00:41:36.160 she does make
00:41:37.020 less money
00:41:37.460 than the average man
00:41:38.660 I suppose
00:41:39.840 it is the case
00:41:40.420 that if you look
00:41:40.760 at the average
00:41:41.200 woman of color
00:41:41.940 and the average
00:41:42.460 white man
00:41:43.020 and the average
00:41:43.460 50 year old
00:41:44.000 and the average
00:41:44.280 this and the average
00:41:44.780 that
00:41:45.020 that they are
00:41:46.040 different numbers
00:41:46.740 but we already
00:41:49.580 knew that
00:41:50.020 because men and
00:41:50.820 women work
00:41:51.320 different numbers
00:41:52.240 of hours
00:41:52.620 on average
00:41:53.140 so that was
00:41:54.620 the first clue
00:41:55.200 that the wage
00:41:55.680 gap
00:41:55.960 isn't really
00:41:57.300 correct
00:41:57.760 when you control
00:41:59.680 for hours
00:42:01.260 worked
00:42:01.700 education
00:42:02.860 time in the
00:42:03.660 workforce
00:42:04.100 expertise
00:42:04.960 on and on
00:42:07.040 and on
00:42:07.600 the wage
00:42:08.880 gap disappears
00:42:09.680 it virtually
00:42:11.240 vanishes
00:42:12.560 this is good
00:42:15.280 news
00:42:15.640 you should
00:42:17.080 celebrate that
00:42:17.640 that's a good
00:42:18.020 thing
00:42:18.300 but instead
00:42:19.860 they push
00:42:21.840 this lie
00:42:22.700 and there's a
00:42:23.080 cost to that
00:42:23.580 lie
00:42:23.760 because what
00:42:24.080 the lie
00:42:24.360 tells you
00:42:24.800 is
00:42:25.020 if you're
00:42:25.660 a woman
00:42:25.940 you can't
00:42:26.300 make it
00:42:26.540 in America
00:42:26.960 this lady
00:42:28.240 is on a
00:42:28.960 stage
00:42:29.300 holding a
00:42:29.760 glittering gold
00:42:30.280 statue
00:42:30.720 having the
00:42:31.380 job that
00:42:31.840 little kids
00:42:32.180 dream about
00:42:32.640 having
00:42:32.940 at the very
00:42:34.220 top of it
00:42:34.780 and her whole
00:42:36.040 speech was
00:42:36.720 you can't
00:42:37.220 make it
00:42:37.560 someone's
00:42:38.380 going to
00:42:38.560 stop you
00:42:38.900 from making
00:42:39.320 it
00:42:39.560 if you're
00:42:40.180 a woman
00:42:40.440 you can't
00:42:40.840 make it
00:42:41.100 even though
00:42:41.380 I'm here
00:42:41.680 forget about
00:42:42.120 me
00:42:42.300 ignore me
00:42:42.820 and especially
00:42:43.540 by the way
00:42:43.960 if you're
00:42:44.180 black
00:42:44.400 you can't
00:42:44.800 make it
00:42:45.080 no way
00:42:45.440 you can't
00:42:46.240 it's so
00:42:47.040 awful
00:42:48.840 to tell a
00:42:49.400 little kid
00:42:49.780 that
00:42:50.020 it's so
00:42:50.740 abusive
00:42:51.300 so exploitative
00:42:52.900 to do that
00:42:53.520 to somebody
00:42:54.060 to push
00:42:55.220 your political
00:42:56.180 fiction
00:42:56.640 and to push
00:42:58.020 for your
00:42:58.520 preferred
00:42:58.840 policies
00:42:59.700 whether that
00:43:00.160 be extra
00:43:00.860 regulations
00:43:01.460 or higher
00:43:02.220 taxes
00:43:02.620 or whatever
00:43:03.080 before we go
00:43:04.140 today
00:43:04.320 I don't usually
00:43:04.720 do a stuff
00:43:05.140 I like
00:43:05.500 but I would
00:43:05.860 like to do
00:43:06.220 a stuff
00:43:06.500 I like
00:43:06.840 because
00:43:07.260 you know
00:43:08.200 I talk
00:43:08.680 about this
00:43:09.040 all the
00:43:09.280 time
00:43:09.560 I consider
00:43:10.940 myself
00:43:11.280 very uneducated
00:43:12.220 I
00:43:13.000 feel as though
00:43:14.500 there are a lot of books
00:43:15.240 I should have read
00:43:15.740 when I was a kid
00:43:16.320 I should have learned
00:43:16.780 some languages
00:43:17.340 I should
00:43:17.740 I just
00:43:18.080 I feel
00:43:19.100 I think the whole
00:43:20.300 culture is pretty
00:43:20.920 uneducated
00:43:21.500 but it really
00:43:21.960 bothers me
00:43:22.480 because I would
00:43:22.880 like to be
00:43:23.240 educated
00:43:23.640 so I went
00:43:24.300 back recently
00:43:24.960 and read
00:43:25.600 one of the books
00:43:26.460 that I should have
00:43:27.020 read
00:43:27.320 probably when I was
00:43:27.900 10 or 11
00:43:28.500 classic work
00:43:29.940 1984
00:43:30.980 you got to
00:43:34.720 read it
00:43:35.220 because apparently
00:43:36.580 many other people
00:43:37.460 I've talked to
00:43:37.920 haven't read it
00:43:38.380 either
00:43:38.560 even though
00:43:38.960 it's one
00:43:39.340 that should
00:43:39.820 be taught
00:43:40.260 in every school
00:43:40.780 and if you
00:43:41.960 haven't read it
00:43:42.360 in a while
00:43:42.720 reread it
00:43:43.580 because it
00:43:44.140 tells you a lot
00:43:44.980 about our
00:43:45.680 culture
00:43:46.100 it
00:43:46.820 describes this
00:43:48.320 dystopian
00:43:49.140 oppressive
00:43:49.940 environment
00:43:50.580 where
00:43:52.100 the powers
00:43:54.120 that be
00:43:54.680 control
00:43:55.920 the words
00:43:57.280 that you say
00:43:57.960 even the thoughts
00:43:58.820 that you think
00:43:59.620 and eliminate
00:44:00.660 truth
00:44:01.140 just like
00:44:01.640 Pontius Pilate
00:44:02.400 there is no
00:44:03.200 truth
00:44:03.560 there is no
00:44:04.800 right or wrong
00:44:05.460 there is only
00:44:06.000 what the party
00:44:06.580 says
00:44:07.040 the eternal
00:44:07.660 present
00:44:08.080 where the party
00:44:08.580 is always
00:44:08.980 right
00:44:09.280 and it has
00:44:11.300 a lot of
00:44:11.840 parallels
00:44:12.640 to what we're
00:44:13.400 experiencing
00:44:13.980 today
00:44:14.440 and there's a
00:44:16.260 lesson at the
00:44:16.820 end of the
00:44:17.260 book
00:44:17.500 I don't think
00:44:18.760 it's a spoiler
00:44:19.280 alert
00:44:19.600 plus the book's
00:44:20.180 been out for
00:44:20.500 a very long
00:44:20.940 time
00:44:21.180 so you know
00:44:21.560 if you haven't
00:44:21.900 read it
00:44:22.140 that's on you
00:44:22.640 the only way
00:44:26.420 they can break
00:44:27.200 you
00:44:27.460 is if they
00:44:28.780 can force
00:44:29.460 you
00:44:29.800 to acquiesce
00:44:31.640 to a lie
00:44:32.240 and not just
00:44:33.360 acquiesce to a lie
00:44:34.320 but to love a lie
00:44:35.240 the way that they
00:44:36.640 break the protagonist
00:44:37.800 at the end of 1984
00:44:39.040 is they
00:44:41.380 force him to say
00:44:42.880 that 2 plus 2
00:44:43.840 equals 5
00:44:44.740 and not just
00:44:46.440 to believe
00:44:47.140 or not just to say
00:44:48.480 rather that 2 plus 2
00:44:49.340 equals 5
00:44:49.920 but to believe
00:44:51.420 that 2 plus 2
00:44:52.860 equals 5
00:44:54.160 it's a profound
00:44:56.140 moment
00:44:57.480 it's so basic
00:44:59.200 it's so simple
00:44:59.900 but it is profound
00:45:01.400 because
00:45:02.620 you'll notice
00:45:03.840 the angrier
00:45:04.660 and angrier
00:45:05.660 and angrier
00:45:06.460 the left gets
00:45:07.280 about political
00:45:08.920 correctness
00:45:09.560 about
00:45:09.880 them imposing
00:45:11.480 their fantasy
00:45:12.340 views on the
00:45:12.940 world
00:45:13.280 they just
00:45:15.020 want you
00:45:15.880 to acquiesce
00:45:17.080 to it
00:45:17.400 and then they
00:45:18.080 want you to
00:45:18.560 believe it
00:45:19.200 and you
00:45:19.920 don't just
00:45:20.840 need to
00:45:21.140 recognize
00:45:21.580 big brother
00:45:22.080 you gotta love
00:45:22.860 big brother
00:45:23.360 you gotta love it
00:45:24.400 and if you
00:45:25.580 don't do that
00:45:26.140 if you say
00:45:26.580 I just don't
00:45:27.320 think this is
00:45:27.700 quite right
00:45:28.220 I think what
00:45:29.700 you're doing
00:45:30.020 is a little
00:45:30.320 bit wrong
00:45:30.880 I disagree
00:45:32.920 you won't get
00:45:34.820 a civil disagreement
00:45:35.700 you will get
00:45:36.800 the rage
00:45:38.260 of a thousand
00:45:38.760 sons
00:45:39.140 and as in
00:45:40.180 1984
00:45:40.660 they will
00:45:41.120 torture you
00:45:41.800 they will
00:45:42.480 torture you
00:45:43.100 I mean you
00:45:43.660 will lose a lot
00:45:44.480 you could lose
00:45:45.080 a lot
00:45:45.320 you could lose
00:45:45.740 your livelihood
00:45:46.240 your reputation
00:45:47.040 you could lose
00:45:47.520 friends
00:45:47.920 you could lose
00:45:48.920 almost everything
00:45:50.740 but only you
00:45:54.420 can say that
00:45:54.940 two plus two
00:45:55.420 equals five
00:45:56.100 and you can
00:45:57.120 also say
00:45:57.660 two plus two
00:45:58.340 does not
00:45:58.660 equal five
00:45:59.200 they can take
00:46:00.800 everything you
00:46:01.420 want
00:46:01.700 there was a
00:46:03.440 story about
00:46:04.040 an opera singer
00:46:05.520 who was
00:46:06.960 this is not
00:46:07.700 in 1984
00:46:08.180 this is another
00:46:08.780 story
00:46:09.160 an opera singer
00:46:10.060 who was living
00:46:10.900 in a totalitarian
00:46:11.760 country
00:46:12.240 and
00:46:13.160 the leader
00:46:15.520 of that country
00:46:16.460 wanted to come
00:46:17.060 back
00:46:17.400 and wanted her
00:46:18.920 to sing for him
00:46:19.540 she wouldn't
00:46:19.900 sing for him
00:46:20.500 and
00:46:21.500 he said
00:46:23.780 I can make
00:46:25.120 you sing
00:46:25.680 and what she
00:46:26.700 said to him
00:46:27.220 was
00:46:27.560 you can make
00:46:28.260 me scream
00:46:29.000 but you can't
00:46:30.100 make me sing
00:46:30.760 very important
00:46:32.540 these days
00:46:33.220 as
00:46:33.820 the left
00:46:36.160 in particular
00:46:37.040 comes after
00:46:39.060 everybody
00:46:39.560 comes after us
00:46:40.500 tries to control
00:46:41.140 our speech
00:46:41.600 and our thoughts
00:46:42.140 makes us go
00:46:42.680 along
00:46:42.960 bullies us
00:46:43.560 very important
00:46:44.860 only you can
00:46:46.280 say two plus
00:46:46.900 two equals five
00:46:47.660 and only you
00:46:48.160 can refuse
00:46:48.760 to say that
00:46:49.440 two plus two
00:46:49.900 equals five
00:46:50.460 and keep
00:46:51.100 your dignity
00:46:51.640 because
00:46:52.460 it might be
00:46:53.680 convenient
00:46:54.080 to give
00:46:55.360 into lies
00:46:56.040 and give
00:46:56.520 into cynicism
00:46:57.240 and disregard
00:46:58.200 the truth
00:46:58.740 in the short run
00:46:59.640 it's always
00:47:00.000 convenient
00:47:00.420 in the short run
00:47:01.160 but in the long run
00:47:02.340 it's all you've got
00:47:03.460 thank you very much
