00:00:37.740 Yesterday, President Trump announced that he would become the first president in American history
00:00:42.700 to attend and address the March for Life, which is taking place as we speak.
00:00:47.820 We will examine how a man who once called himself, quote,
00:00:50.740 very pro-choice became the most pro-life president in American history.
00:00:55.180 Then, Democrat impeachment manager Adam Schiff accidentally explains
00:00:58.940 why Democrats are so eager to oust Trump before November
00:01:03.080 as the impeachment trial enters its agonizing second day.
00:01:07.480 And Tulsi Gabbard sues Hillary Clinton for defamation
00:01:10.080 because we are living in the greatest timeline.
00:01:13.180 Finally, the mailbag. All that and more.
00:01:14.640 I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:16.340 What a great day.
00:01:25.400 It's the March for Life.
00:01:26.660 This is going to be a huge, I'll use huge as a Trump word,
00:01:31.900 demonstration for life and for the pre-born in Washington, D.C.
00:01:35.620 And, speaking of the president, he will become the first president
00:01:39.220 to attend and address the March for Life.
00:01:42.660 The March for Life began in 1974.
00:01:45.260 That was the year after Roe v. Wade was decided
00:01:47.840 and invented the fictitious constitutional right
00:01:51.320 to kill your own child in the womb.
00:01:53.620 And the March for Life has exploded in recent years.
00:01:57.680 I mean, it is just, they call it the pro-life generation.
00:02:00.960 I used to think that was wishful thinking.
00:02:02.720 It's not.
00:02:04.020 Every year, more and more people show up to the March for Life.
00:02:07.060 And yet, for some reason, no U.S. president has ever attended.
00:02:10.700 It's been going on since 1974.
00:02:13.880 You've had a lot of Republican presidents since then.
00:02:17.020 You had Richard Nixon, didn't attend.
00:02:19.820 Jerry Ford, didn't attend.
00:02:22.000 You had the Democrat, Jimmy Carter.
00:02:23.800 But you've got to remember, Jimmy Carter was a very Christian, evangelical, right?
00:02:28.280 He was a social conservative in some ways, Democrat.
00:02:32.700 He didn't show up.
00:02:33.920 Ronald Reagan, the great conservative president, he didn't show up.
00:02:38.040 Bill Clinton, no surprise there.
00:02:40.420 Bush won, not really a surprise there.
00:02:43.120 He and his family had supported Planned Parenthood, at least in the past.
00:02:46.920 Then, by the time he became vice president for Reagan, he came around to the pro-life side.
00:02:52.100 George W. Bush was a very pro-life candidate.
00:02:54.480 He did not attend the March for Life.
00:02:57.040 Barack Obama obviously did not attend.
00:02:59.640 Not until we got to President Donald Trump.
00:03:03.880 Do you have a president attending the March for Life?
00:03:06.480 And this is very ironic because of all those candidates,
00:03:11.400 President Trump in the past may have been the most outspoken in his support of abortion.
00:03:17.220 When President Trump was considering running for president on the Reform Party ticket in the late 90s,
00:03:23.660 he did an interview with NBC's Tim Russert in which he described himself as a very pro-choice.
00:03:31.100 Here is then potential candidate Trump.
00:03:33.700 Partial birth abortion, the eliminating of abortion in the third trimester, big issue in Washington.
00:03:40.880 Would President Trump ban partial birth abortions?
00:03:43.440 Well, look, I'm very pro-choice.
00:03:46.880 I hate the concept of abortion.
00:03:49.020 I hate it.
00:03:49.780 I hate everything it stands for.
00:03:51.100 I cringe when I listen to people debating the subject.
00:03:54.220 But you still, I just believe in choice.
00:03:56.740 And again, it may be a little bit of a New York background because there is some different attitude in different parts of the country.
00:04:03.520 And, you know, I was raised in New York and grew up and work and everything else in New York City.
00:04:08.520 But I am strongly for choice.
00:04:10.660 And yet I hate the concept of abortion.
00:04:13.300 But you would not ban it?
00:04:14.780 No.
00:04:14.980 Keep in mind, by the way, they're not talking about abortion in the first trimester here or the second trimester.
00:04:20.420 They're talking about late-term partial birth abortion.
00:04:23.940 This is when the baby looks exactly like a baby and you kill it as he's coming out of his mother's womb.
00:04:31.240 And President Trump says, I would have kept that legal.
00:04:33.640 That is a very, very pro-abortion position.
00:04:36.700 And yet in the 90s, it was a popular position.
00:04:39.780 And look, I come from New York.
00:04:40.880 I was in New York in the 90s.
00:04:42.180 This was, I think, the mainstream idea.
00:04:45.640 And actually, it was a former governor of New York, Mario Cuomo, who came up with the excuse President Trump is using there,
00:04:50.820 which is I personally hate abortion, but publicly I support abortion on demand without apology whenever you want.
00:04:57.040 So people throw this in President Trump's face.
00:04:59.240 I think the fact that Trump went from being very pro-choice to the most pro-life president ever illustrates a central truth of the pro-life movement.
00:05:08.040 We'll get to that in a second.
00:05:08.760 First, I've got to thank our friends over at Lightstream.
00:05:13.360 I have friends of mine, family members of mine, who run huge credit card balances.
00:05:19.120 Or even if they're running small credit card balances, they're paying huge interest rates.
00:05:23.400 Don't do that.
00:05:24.320 It is extremely dumb to throw that money away.
00:05:28.020 I mean, it is actually like setting on fire when you're carrying these high-interest credit card balances.
00:05:32.620 You can pay off those high-interest credit card balances and save money with a credit card consolidation loan from Lightstream.
00:05:41.480 And this is the key.
00:05:43.620 There are absolutely no fees.
00:05:46.420 No fees.
00:05:46.980 I know you don't believe that, but no application fee, no origination fee, no transaction fee, no prepayment penalties, no fees.
00:05:56.300 You, right now, if you are carrying these high-interest credit card balances, you are just throwing your money away.
00:06:02.540 Do not do it.
00:06:03.540 Right now, by the way, just for my listeners, you can apply now to get a special interest rate discount.
00:06:10.120 The only way to get this discount is to go to Lightstream.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:06:17.380 You know, we all talk about being fiscal conservatives over here.
00:06:20.820 And just on a personal level, we don't want to throw our money away.
00:06:24.000 Well, start that in your own behavior.
00:06:26.000 Start that at home.
00:06:26.720 Let Me Help You, that is L-I-G-H-T-S-T-R-E-A-M.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S, Lightstream.com slash Knowles.
00:06:39.600 Subject to credit approval, rate includes 0.5% auto-pay discount.
00:06:44.080 Terms and conditions apply and offers are subject to change without notice.
00:06:47.260 Lightstream.com slash Knowles for more information.
00:06:50.720 So President Trump in the 90s says,
00:06:52.520 I'm very pro-choice, I support partial birth abortion as a matter of the law,
00:06:57.220 and I hate it personally, but I support it politically.
00:07:01.100 A lot of people held that view.
00:07:03.140 I know a lot of people who held that view.
00:07:05.400 Then he changed his mind.
00:07:07.780 I think it is great when people change their mind on the question of abortion.
00:07:13.020 I once defended abortion.
00:07:15.320 I, for years, when I was a teenager, when I was ignorant, more ignorant,
00:07:19.680 I defended abortion.
00:07:22.220 Then I realized abortion is indefensible.
00:07:25.360 So now I'm pro-life.
00:07:26.400 It actually happened in Washington, D.C.
00:07:27.920 I had a conversation with a bioethicist who was a teacher of mine in a summer program,
00:07:32.620 and she asked me my views on abortion, and I said,
00:07:36.960 oh, I think it's fine, and I gave all these dumb arguments.
00:07:39.340 And she shot down each and every one of them,
00:07:41.540 and I had my eyes opened on the subject.
00:07:43.680 I'm not the only one.
00:07:44.680 Some of the most prominent voices in support of abortion
00:07:49.260 have flipped and become some of the most prominent voices in support of life
00:07:54.900 when they examined the evidence, when they saw the reality of abortion.
00:07:59.180 I'm talking about Norma McCorvey.
00:08:01.120 You might not recognize that name,
00:08:03.360 but you would recognize her pseudonym, which is Jane Roe,
00:08:06.660 the woman who was used by opportunistic lawyers in Roe v. Wade,
00:08:11.860 the case that 47 years ago invented the fictional constitutional right to abortion.
00:08:18.520 That woman became one of the most prominent pro-life advocates in the country.
00:08:25.240 She said that her participation in Roe v. Wade,
00:08:28.500 her allowing herself to be used by those predator lawyers,
00:08:32.800 was the biggest regret of her life.
00:08:35.540 How about Dr. Bernard Nathanson?
00:08:37.780 Dr. Bernard Nathanson was the founder of NARAL.
00:08:40.840 That was the National Abortion Rights League.
00:08:43.380 They've changed what the letters mean over the years,
00:08:46.440 but it remains the most prominent pro-abortion advocacy organization in the country,
00:08:51.100 I suppose, other than Planned Parenthood.
00:08:53.460 That guy, co-founder of NARAL, became a very prominent pro-life advocate
00:08:58.160 because he saw the reality of abortion,
00:09:00.700 and he also exposed a lot of the lies that the abortion industry tells you.
00:09:04.800 Like, for instance, they would say,
00:09:05.980 before Roe v. Wade, 5,000 women a year were dying from back-alley abortions.
00:09:11.640 Turns out that's completely made up.
00:09:13.520 As Bernard Nathanson said,
00:09:14.800 that they plucked that number out of thin air.
00:09:16.580 It just sounded good.
00:09:17.860 Actually, when you look at the numbers,
00:09:19.460 you're talking about a couple dozen or a few dozen women
00:09:21.920 who died from back-alley abortions.
00:09:23.840 And as just a percentage of the abortion procedures done in states
00:09:29.440 where abortion was legal and where it was illegal,
00:09:31.620 it was no less safe than legal abortions at that time.
00:09:35.300 It was just a complete lie peddled by the abortion industry.
00:09:38.940 Dr. Bernard Nathanson became a huge pro-life advocate.
00:09:41.980 Abby Johnson.
00:09:43.160 Abby Johnson is the focus of that movie, Unplanned.
00:09:46.300 Abby Johnson worked for Planned Parenthood.
00:09:48.460 She was being promoted up the ranks.
00:09:50.020 Then she saw the reality of abortion.
00:09:52.440 Now she is a major pro-life advocate.
00:09:55.720 We have changed our minds on that subject.
00:09:58.480 It's important to be able to change your minds
00:10:00.600 when new evidence presents itself.
00:10:02.260 And every single day,
00:10:05.300 the evidence becomes clearer on the side of life.
00:10:07.680 You know, if we were to just lock ourselves in a box
00:10:09.820 and just think abstractly about abortion,
00:10:13.580 still the arguments would be clearly on the side of life.
00:10:17.420 Still, they would all be against abortion.
00:10:21.080 But if you just locked yourself in a box and thought about it
00:10:23.980 or had a philosophical debate over a couple drinks with a friend,
00:10:27.760 maybe you could rationalize the case for abortion.
00:10:31.300 It's very easy to rationalize things, right?
00:10:34.180 But when you see a sonogram,
00:10:36.860 when you see a 3D sonogram,
00:10:38.280 which now are ubiquitous,
00:10:41.640 virtually everybody can access them.
00:10:43.520 You can see that it's not just a weird little gray clump on a screen.
00:10:47.440 It's a baby.
00:10:49.360 From very early on,
00:10:50.740 abortion in virtually every single case stops a beating heart.
00:10:55.660 Now, these are not exactly arguments.
00:10:57.380 I mean, the arguments from fetal pain.
00:10:58.700 We just heard the other day
00:10:59.560 that babies as early as 13 weeks can feel pain.
00:11:02.420 People used to think it was 24 or 26 weeks.
00:11:05.600 Those are not really arguments.
00:11:07.360 I mean, I don't think that the reason that we shouldn't kill babies
00:11:09.440 is because they can feel pain.
00:11:10.800 I think the reason we shouldn't kill babies is that they're babies.
00:11:12.780 I don't think the reason we shouldn't kill babies
00:11:14.740 is because their faces look pretty cute
00:11:17.100 and they look like a two-year-old baby's face.
00:11:20.400 I don't care how ugly their faces are.
00:11:22.240 I don't think you should kill babies because they're babies.
00:11:25.940 But the arguments are not enough.
00:11:28.180 They're insufficient.
00:11:29.180 You have to see it as well.
00:11:31.180 A picture is worth a thousand words,
00:11:32.580 and I think that's what's happened to a lot of people
00:11:34.720 who have changed their minds.
00:11:36.320 And I can tell you people change their minds on pro-life
00:11:39.040 because it's happened in my own experience.
00:11:40.860 President Trump now has the strongest pro-life record
00:11:43.340 of any president in American history.
00:11:46.240 Most importantly, the judges.
00:11:47.860 He's appointed textualist, originalist, conservative judges,
00:11:51.760 judges who will push back on the ridiculous invention
00:11:55.880 of a fictional right to abortion.
00:11:58.060 Trump defunded Planned Parenthood
00:11:59.520 to the tune of $60 million through Title X.
00:12:01.960 Now, obviously, Planned Parenthood receives
00:12:03.680 upwards of $500 million from the federal government,
00:12:07.220 so there's a long ways to go.
00:12:08.380 But he's defunded over 10% of it
00:12:10.800 through the mechanisms of the executive branch.
00:12:13.040 You would need the Congress to defund the rest of it.
00:12:16.820 He stopped taxpayer funding for abortion overseas,
00:12:19.280 also known as the Mexico City Policy.
00:12:22.460 He reinstituted that.
00:12:24.960 He has allowed states to deprive Planned Parenthood
00:12:27.620 of Medicaid funds.
00:12:28.860 He's defunded other pro-abortion organizations,
00:12:31.380 and now he's become the first president in U.S. history
00:12:34.760 to attend and address the March for Life.
00:12:38.680 That's a great record.
00:12:39.900 That is something we should all get behind.
00:12:41.840 And, you know, very often we hear critics of Trump
00:12:44.340 on the left and even some on the right
00:12:46.100 assail President Trump's character.
00:12:49.480 I think that record on pro-life,
00:12:52.360 on a central, crucial issue,
00:12:55.460 an issue literally of life and death,
00:12:57.780 speaks very well of his character,
00:12:59.680 and I think he deserves a lot of credit for it.
00:13:02.140 I think it's courageous.
00:13:03.600 I think there's a reason that previous Republican presidents
00:13:06.740 have not gone as far as he has,
00:13:09.180 and I think we should all tip our hats to him
00:13:11.700 and thank him for his great support of life.
00:13:14.800 Other people not so supportive of life.
00:13:16.700 For instance, at the New York Times,
00:13:18.360 there is an op-ed by a writer in the New York Times
00:13:21.580 just went up yesterday on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
00:13:24.880 The title is,
00:13:26.700 I'll Never Be Ashamed of My Abortion.
00:13:29.800 Just from the title,
00:13:31.700 something tells me this author is protesting
00:13:34.040 a little bit too much.
00:13:35.460 Something tells me the author maybe does regret her abortion,
00:13:39.140 and she's trying to insist that she doesn't,
00:13:42.560 but let's see what she writes.
00:13:44.100 She says, quote,
00:13:44.820 I want my daughters to have the same agency over their bodies as I did.
00:13:50.220 I'm worried they won't.
00:13:53.100 I am a medium brown-skinned,
00:13:55.360 neither rich dark chocolate nor creamy cafe au lait.
00:13:59.420 I'm a B-cup and have, for a black girl, a barely-there butt.
00:14:03.160 I have flat feet and oily skin,
00:14:04.860 and like so many American women of reproductive age,
00:14:07.660 I've had an abortion.
00:14:09.020 So, obviously, the first part of that is completely irrelevant.
00:14:15.960 The color of her skin and her breast size and her butt
00:14:19.520 and her feet and the oil on her skin,
00:14:23.660 none of that is relevant.
00:14:25.040 What she's trying to say is that these are all mundane,
00:14:27.620 sort of trivial characteristics,
00:14:29.440 and likewise, I've had an abortion,
00:14:33.120 and that's also irrelevant.
00:14:34.460 It doesn't really matter at all.
00:14:35.600 I think part of this, too,
00:14:37.600 is to check off some of the intersectional boxes
00:14:40.060 because the New York Times is obsessed
00:14:41.820 with racial and sexual identity politics.
00:14:44.580 But here's the money line, right?
00:14:47.000 She says,
00:14:48.160 I and I alone made the decision to terminate a pregnancy
00:14:51.400 more than a decade ago
00:14:52.820 so that I could be the best mother I could be
00:14:56.300 to the two children I already had.
00:15:00.980 This doesn't make any sense.
00:15:03.600 Killing your children can never make you a good mother.
00:15:09.880 I mean, it's not possible.
00:15:11.680 I'm not saying this woman is the devil,
00:15:13.320 that she's the worst person ever,
00:15:14.680 she can never be forgiven for her sins.
00:15:16.720 She could be forgiven for her sins,
00:15:18.180 and she might have other fine attributes.
00:15:22.000 But simply by definition,
00:15:24.300 if you kill your children,
00:15:27.420 that action cannot make you a better mother.
00:15:30.280 Being a mother means nurturing your children.
00:15:35.180 If you kill them,
00:15:36.440 that is the opposite of being a good mother.
00:15:40.500 Now, this is an argument you often hear from people.
00:15:42.680 They say,
00:15:42.960 look, I want to decide how many children I have.
00:15:45.940 So if I've already got two children
00:15:48.020 and then I get pregnant,
00:15:49.060 I only want two children,
00:15:50.300 so I'm going to decide how many children I have.
00:15:51.800 You lost the right to decide how many children you have
00:15:56.540 when you had another child.
00:15:58.880 The issue here isn't when you're going to give birth
00:16:00.940 or anything like that.
00:16:02.040 You already have the child.
00:16:03.600 The only question is,
00:16:04.480 do you kill the child,
00:16:05.620 do you give the child away in adoption,
00:16:07.300 or do you raise the child yourself?
00:16:09.380 If this woman didn't want to raise another child,
00:16:11.200 she could have just given it away for adoption.
00:16:13.040 There are way, way, way more couples in the United States
00:16:17.140 who want to adopt American children
00:16:18.640 than there are American children,
00:16:21.080 American babies out to be adopted.
00:16:23.320 So she could have just done that.
00:16:25.360 She didn't do that.
00:16:27.220 She took the path of killing her child.
00:16:31.280 It's a terrible thing.
00:16:32.220 I'm sure she faces a lot of regret
00:16:33.680 and a lot of shame about that.
00:16:36.740 We hear this a lot from people
00:16:38.440 who were pro-abortion advocates
00:16:39.600 and then became pro-life advocates.
00:16:40.840 They talk about the guilt
00:16:41.720 and how they were denying the guilt all the time.
00:16:43.800 So I actually have a lot of pity for the woman,
00:16:46.320 but she's lying when she said she didn't have a choice.
00:16:50.420 She's lying when she said it was about raising the children
00:16:52.500 she already had
00:16:53.620 rather than having to raise another child.
00:16:57.060 And she's lying about killing children,
00:16:59.460 making you a good mother.
00:17:00.440 It's just not possible.
00:17:02.080 And the lies that go along with Roe versus Wade
00:17:06.380 and abortion advocacy,
00:17:08.440 those lies have such pernicious effects,
00:17:10.740 not just on the individual,
00:17:13.860 not just on society,
00:17:15.760 but on our whole legal system,
00:17:17.380 on our whole politics.
00:17:18.340 We'll see how in a second.
00:17:20.240 The impeachment fight that we're in right now
00:17:22.300 in many ways can be traced right back to Roe versus Wade.
00:17:25.520 We'll get to that in a second.
00:17:26.280 First, I've got to thank our friends over at Rock Auto.
00:17:29.140 I love rockauto.com.
00:17:30.560 I like them from the very beginning
00:17:32.920 just because they're a family business.
00:17:34.440 Rockauto.com has been serving auto parts customers online
00:17:37.820 for 20 years.
00:17:39.100 And when you think about the history of online,
00:17:41.620 it's pretty much the whole time.
00:17:43.240 You can go to rockauto.com
00:17:44.880 to shop for auto and body parts
00:17:46.380 from hundreds of manufacturers.
00:17:47.880 They've got everything
00:17:48.600 from engine control modules and brake parts
00:17:50.680 to tail lamps, motor oil,
00:17:52.400 even new carpet.
00:17:54.020 They've got it all.
00:17:55.120 What I really like about Rock Auto
00:17:56.840 is that even I can understand this website.
00:17:59.680 Because here's what happens.
00:18:00.540 Your car breaks down.
00:18:01.300 This happened to me,
00:18:02.100 I guess now about five, six months ago.
00:18:04.340 Car breaks down.
00:18:05.020 You go to the auto body shop.
00:18:08.040 You say, okay, I need these parts.
00:18:09.680 They never have the parts in.
00:18:10.960 They just go online.
00:18:12.000 They order the parts
00:18:12.680 and then they charge you a huge markup.
00:18:14.140 You don't need to do that.
00:18:14.940 You can go to rockauto.com.
00:18:16.320 Their catalog is so easy to navigate.
00:18:18.520 You can figure out exactly which parts you need
00:18:20.340 for your car.
00:18:21.580 Whether that's your classic car,
00:18:22.840 maybe that's your daily driver.
00:18:24.260 Within just a few clicks,
00:18:25.780 you can check it out.
00:18:27.580 Very easy to navigate right now.
00:18:30.300 Head on over to rockauto.com.
00:18:33.680 You can find all the parts available
00:18:36.040 for your car or truck.
00:18:37.120 Most importantly,
00:18:37.760 write Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S,
00:18:39.640 in their How Did You Hear About Us box
00:18:40.900 so they can know that we sent you.
00:18:43.320 Rockauto.com.
00:18:45.440 AOC is pushing this kind of nonsense.
00:18:48.240 These incoherent arguments about abortion.
00:18:50.660 She tweeted out yesterday
00:18:51.840 with regard to a visa issue
00:18:55.580 from the Trump administration.
00:18:57.000 Trump administration is complicating visas
00:18:59.280 for pregnant women who are traveling here
00:19:02.180 as part of the longstanding immigration fight, right?
00:19:06.500 But it includes now pregnant women.
00:19:08.640 And she says, pregnant women.
00:19:11.780 This administration is now targeting pregnant women.
00:19:16.720 When you single out the most vulnerable,
00:19:20.000 the cruelty is the point.
00:19:22.220 Hashtag abolish ICE.
00:19:24.140 Hashtag break up customs and border protection.
00:19:27.160 The most vulnerable.
00:19:31.880 Why are pregnant women vulnerable?
00:19:35.800 How are pregnant women vulnerable?
00:19:39.120 Because what the left has been telling us
00:19:41.240 for 50 years now
00:19:42.420 is that pregnant women
00:19:45.560 are no different than you and me.
00:19:47.500 They've just got a little clump of cells in them.
00:19:49.800 You know, I've got my appendix.
00:19:51.220 Some people have had their appendix removed.
00:19:52.820 Some people have a clump of cells.
00:19:55.040 A fetus.
00:19:55.500 An embryo.
00:19:57.180 A zygote, they say.
00:20:00.320 A zygote is the very, very first stage of an embryo.
00:20:03.980 And the baby is a zygote for about five seconds.
00:20:07.260 But the pro-abortion people want to pretend
00:20:09.660 that it's just this little microscopic clump of cells
00:20:12.740 until a full nine months
00:20:13.860 and then a baby pops out all fresh.
00:20:17.460 That's what they say.
00:20:18.440 It's totally, it doesn't matter at all.
00:20:19.800 It's nothing.
00:20:20.340 It has no human dignity.
00:20:22.060 It's no different than a polyp or a tumor
00:20:24.940 or a parasite.
00:20:26.060 Parasite.
00:20:26.820 That's the word that they often use.
00:20:29.040 Well, okay.
00:20:29.640 If it's just a,
00:20:31.100 if it's just like a little polyp or something
00:20:33.520 or a little appendage that you don't need,
00:20:36.560 then why are pregnant women vulnerable?
00:20:39.040 They wouldn't be.
00:20:40.300 The reason pregnant women are vulnerable
00:20:42.080 is because they have a new life
00:20:44.980 forming inside of them.
00:20:46.640 That's the reason why
00:20:47.900 throughout most of this country,
00:20:50.260 if you murder a pregnant woman,
00:20:52.000 you're charged with double homicide.
00:20:54.900 Now, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense logically
00:20:57.060 that if you murder a pregnant woman,
00:20:58.520 you're charged with double homicide.
00:21:00.100 But if that woman goes to the Planned Parenthood clinic
00:21:02.140 and kills her own child,
00:21:03.500 that's all well and good.
00:21:04.820 And actually it's a wonderful thing
00:21:06.020 and you should shout your abortion
00:21:07.000 and never regret it.
00:21:08.500 Obviously those two things can't be true at once.
00:21:11.520 And so to resolve this cognitive dissonance,
00:21:14.040 in New York,
00:21:14.720 what they're doing is passing radical abortion laws,
00:21:16.920 like the one they passed just a couple years ago,
00:21:19.060 which changes the penal code
00:21:21.800 and says if you murder a pregnant woman,
00:21:23.500 it's not double homicide,
00:21:24.460 it's single homicide.
00:21:25.520 They're trying to resolve this in their heads,
00:21:27.420 but they're lagging in their arguments.
00:21:29.360 So AOC fell into this trap.
00:21:30.880 She said, oh, the pregnant women are so vulnerable.
00:21:33.220 Why are they vulnerable?
00:21:34.580 They are only vulnerable
00:21:35.740 if they've got a baby inside of them.
00:21:37.440 And if they've got a baby inside of them,
00:21:38.640 they should not be able to kill it.
00:21:42.120 Roe versus Wade has far worse implications,
00:21:44.600 not just on our argumentation,
00:21:48.060 on these stupid, incoherent arguments.
00:21:51.080 They've got terrible implications for our politics.
00:21:54.660 They've got terrible implications for our government.
00:21:56.520 They've got terrible implications
00:21:57.540 even for the impeachment trial, okay?
00:22:00.260 It's given us division,
00:22:01.760 political uncertainty, and impeachment.
00:22:04.320 How?
00:22:04.760 How has Roe versus Wade given us impeachment?
00:22:07.440 Because so much now of the presidential battles
00:22:10.640 are about the judges.
00:22:12.740 2016, the single most important issue in 2016
00:22:16.600 was the replacement of Antonin Scalia
00:22:19.140 on the Supreme Court.
00:22:21.000 And the left wanted to replace him
00:22:22.260 with a left-wing judge,
00:22:24.180 and the right wanted to replace him
00:22:26.540 with a textualist judge.
00:22:29.120 The court was almost perfectly balanced,
00:22:32.340 and so it really mattered
00:22:33.820 which way that was gonna swing.
00:22:36.040 Why do they care so much about the courts?
00:22:38.340 Time and again, the left admits it.
00:22:42.100 They say the reason that they care about the courts
00:22:44.040 is abortion, is Roe versus Wade,
00:22:45.960 because there is no constitutional argument
00:22:48.040 for legal abortion everywhere.
00:22:51.940 Show me in the Constitution
00:22:53.260 where James Madison outlined the right
00:22:55.620 to kill your own child.
00:22:57.000 It simply does not exist.
00:22:58.960 And now, even left-wing legal scholars
00:23:01.800 barely pretend that this exists.
00:23:05.200 Often they'll admit it doesn't exist,
00:23:06.740 but it was very important
00:23:08.660 for the Supreme Court to decide this,
00:23:11.120 to invent this legal right to abortion.
00:23:13.740 Well, it's caused a lot of division now.
00:23:16.040 It's caused a lot of anxiety
00:23:17.700 because we're no longer arguing
00:23:19.020 about what the Constitution says.
00:23:21.040 We're no longer arguing about
00:23:22.340 a reasonable and objective interpretation
00:23:24.780 of the Constitution.
00:23:26.280 We're just arguing about
00:23:27.700 how to push our own personal interests.
00:23:30.660 You know, Antonin Scalia,
00:23:31.500 I got to meet him twice before he died,
00:23:33.240 which was probably the coolest experience
00:23:35.480 I've ever had in politics.
00:23:36.820 And he had this category,
00:23:38.580 which was SBC.
00:23:41.880 He said, certain things can be stupid,
00:23:44.800 but constitutional.
00:23:46.740 Certain laws can be stupid,
00:23:48.360 but constitutional.
00:23:50.180 The Constitution does not address every problem.
00:23:53.120 Not everything hateful or odious
00:23:54.560 or wonderful and beautiful
00:23:56.060 is addressed by some provision
00:23:57.700 of the Constitution.
00:23:59.160 And a key example of this would be abortion.
00:24:02.240 The Constitution does not outlaw abortion.
00:24:04.360 Likewise, the Constitution does not create
00:24:07.420 some legal right to abortion.
00:24:08.940 It's simply not addressed.
00:24:10.360 And it was a question left to the states.
00:24:12.000 If the question had been left to the states,
00:24:14.040 you might have seen a greater liberalization
00:24:16.220 of abortion laws.
00:24:17.340 And then I suspect as sonogram technology got better,
00:24:19.840 you would probably see a greater restriction
00:24:22.820 on abortion.
00:24:23.660 And probably New York would have abortion
00:24:25.180 and probably Alabama wouldn't have abortion.
00:24:26.960 That would be a much healthier state
00:24:28.320 for the country.
00:24:29.280 We could then go fight for pro-life
00:24:30.940 in New York specifically.
00:24:32.000 It would make it much easier.
00:24:33.600 And you would not be in a situation
00:24:35.240 where the left is so desperate
00:24:36.720 to maintain their right to kill babies
00:24:38.560 that they're willing to throw out
00:24:40.560 the duly elected president for it.
00:24:44.160 That is how deep the rot runs.
00:24:49.040 On impeachment, by the way,
00:24:50.200 we have a little bit to cover on impeachment.
00:24:53.280 The rot of impeachment is spreading out
00:24:55.520 to the presidential race.
00:24:56.640 It's spreading out all throughout the Senate.
00:24:58.780 And the media aren't helping it either.
00:25:00.340 We will get to that in just one moment.
00:25:02.380 We will get to the greatest news story of the day,
00:25:04.600 Tulsi Gabbard suing Hillary Clinton for defamation.
00:25:07.980 And we will get to President Trump's
00:25:09.720 excellent comments on the environment.
00:25:11.020 We will get to the mailbag.
00:25:11.820 But first, I have got to thank our friends
00:25:13.960 over at First Leaf.
00:25:15.920 Oh, how I love First Leaf,
00:25:18.540 a sponsor near and dear to my heart.
00:25:21.740 First Leaf will send you excellent wine.
00:25:25.720 Wines often that you've never heard about,
00:25:27.700 wines that you wouldn't have been able
00:25:29.380 to pick out in a store.
00:25:30.360 How do you get started?
00:25:31.340 So I got started with First Leaf.
00:25:32.660 I took a wine quiz to assess
00:25:34.580 my exact wine drinking preferences,
00:25:37.400 whether that means sweetness, style,
00:25:39.640 how adventurous I am.
00:25:40.960 I put this all into the computer, right?
00:25:43.060 And so First Leaf takes that into consideration,
00:25:45.640 but they also don't totally believe me
00:25:47.500 because I don't know,
00:25:48.620 I can't really describe my palate that well.
00:25:50.820 So they create this introductory
00:25:52.320 six pack of wine for me,
00:25:53.480 all for just $29.95 total.
00:25:56.080 This is six bottles of wine for $29.95.
00:25:59.100 These wines usually sell for at least $20 each.
00:26:03.140 They send it to me and I try them.
00:26:04.700 And I say, okay, well, you know,
00:26:06.580 that's a really good wine.
00:26:07.460 I really, really like that.
00:26:08.760 That one, that one's okay.
00:26:09.960 Maybe I wouldn't do any more of those.
00:26:11.340 That's fine.
00:26:12.200 And then you go online and you rate them.
00:26:13.860 And based on your ratings,
00:26:15.060 First Leaf gets much, much more specific
00:26:16.840 on your taste.
00:26:18.040 And they start sending you the next shipment.
00:26:20.580 Look, First Leaf sends out more than 17,000
00:26:22.560 unique shipments of wine every month.
00:26:23.920 They know what they're doing
00:26:24.660 because everyone's tastes are different.
00:26:26.240 I try this second batch.
00:26:28.380 It's unbelievable.
00:26:29.760 So that's where my freebie was supposed to run out,
00:26:31.660 but I couldn't give it up.
00:26:32.620 So I now get this every month and it's fabulous.
00:26:34.940 And I just love it.
00:26:35.560 And you're going to love it too.
00:26:36.280 Sign up with my link

00:26:52.580 On to impeachment.
00:26:53.640 Joe Biden thinks that impeachment
00:26:56.040 is going to make Trump harder to beat in November.
00:26:58.880 This is according to comments he made at a campaign stop
00:27:01.360 just the other day.
00:27:03.940 Many people, when they look at impeachment,
00:27:05.940 are suggesting that Joe Biden
00:27:07.460 is the great beneficiary of impeachment, right?
00:27:10.580 Because you've got Liz Warren, Amy Klobuchar,
00:27:15.440 Bernie Sanders are all stuck in the Senate
00:27:17.580 during the impeachment trial.
00:27:18.780 Joe Biden's out there in Iowa campaigning.
00:27:20.540 Now we're something like 15 days out
00:27:22.360 from the Iowa caucus.
00:27:25.100 Actually, Joe Biden might get hurt by impeachment.
00:27:27.360 This might backfire on him
00:27:29.140 because Hunter Biden might get dragged
00:27:30.980 before the Senate.
00:27:32.780 You know, I'm doing a new podcast with Ted Cruz
00:27:35.140 that is coming out every single night.
00:27:37.660 Senator Cruz is going to leave the Capitol
00:27:39.400 after the impeachment trial,
00:27:41.140 head on over to our studios here in Washington, D.C.
00:27:43.420 And then he's going to break down for us
00:27:45.040 exactly what happened last night.
00:27:46.760 And you can check this out on the second episode
00:27:49.240 of Verdict with Ted Cruz.
00:27:51.080 It's out now.
00:27:53.160 Senator Cruz pointed out that this all might backfire.
00:27:56.840 The House Democrats may have opened themselves up
00:27:58.900 to a major, major problem for Joe Biden
00:28:02.380 in the impeachment.
00:28:03.680 So none of these Democratic presidential candidates
00:28:05.980 are really doing very well here.
00:28:07.820 Nevertheless, Adam Schiff,
00:28:11.100 who is the leader of the House impeachment circus,
00:28:14.500 he accidentally yesterday
00:28:16.260 explained why the Democrats
00:28:17.820 are still really pushing for impeachment.
00:28:20.240 He said the reason is
00:28:21.280 they just don't think they can win it in November.
00:28:24.560 The president's misconduct
00:28:25.880 cannot be decided at the ballot box,
00:28:29.640 for we cannot be assured
00:28:31.420 that the vote will be fairly won.
00:28:34.920 All right, that's what he says.
00:28:36.880 We can't be assured
00:28:37.880 that the vote would be legitimate.
00:28:40.840 Look, if we took,
00:28:41.820 we would take it to the ballot box,
00:28:43.200 but, you know, then Trump might win.
00:28:46.060 And of course he wouldn't win fairly.
00:28:47.740 I mean, no Republican could ever, ever win fairly,
00:28:50.380 but still he might win
00:28:52.020 and we can't take that chance.
00:28:53.300 So we want to remove him from office now
00:28:55.160 before it's too late.
00:28:56.740 Give me a break.
00:28:57.900 Shows you a little bit about liberalism here.
00:29:01.660 The Harvard law professor Adrian Vermeule
00:29:04.340 posted this yesterday on Twitter.
00:29:07.660 Progressivism, liberalism,
00:29:09.460 just assumes that by definition,
00:29:12.520 it can never lose fair and square.
00:29:15.300 Because progressivism says
00:29:16.740 there is a clear path to progress.
00:29:18.600 There's a clear place we're going.
00:29:20.200 If you stop progress,
00:29:22.160 if you halt progress,
00:29:23.160 that is by definition wrong
00:29:25.400 and unjust and unfair.
00:29:27.280 And so it's always got to be a stolen election.
00:29:30.080 That's why Al Gore,
00:29:31.820 he couldn't possibly have fairly lost in 2000.
00:29:34.560 That's why he wouldn't give up the election.
00:29:37.180 Hillary Clinton in 2016,
00:29:38.540 same thing.
00:29:38.980 She lost.
00:29:39.480 She lost the electoral vote clearly.
00:29:41.500 And yet,
00:29:42.440 she refused to concede the election
00:29:44.520 for hours and hours.
00:29:45.500 She wouldn't even show up on election night.
00:29:47.900 Because it's not possible
00:29:49.000 to lose fair and square,
00:29:50.660 according to progressivism.
00:29:53.460 The media aren't helping this either.
00:29:54.820 They're actually further confusing this.
00:29:56.940 Joe Lockhart,
00:29:58.040 who is a CNN contributor
00:29:59.080 and former press secretary
00:30:00.360 for President Bill Clinton,
00:30:03.680 he posted on Twitter
00:30:04.900 a completely fabricated conversation,
00:30:07.600 totally fabricated conversation.
00:30:08.980 He says,
00:30:09.300 quote,
00:30:09.920 overheard convo between two Republican senators
00:30:12.380 who only watch Fox News.
00:30:14.080 Is this stuff real?
00:30:15.440 I haven't heard any of this before.
00:30:17.240 I thought it was all about a server.
00:30:19.160 If half the stuff Schiff is saying is true,
00:30:21.780 we're up Schiff's Creek.
00:30:24.060 Let's say Schiff.
00:30:24.920 He said a different word.
00:30:26.700 Hope the White House
00:30:27.480 has exculpatory evidence.
00:30:29.920 That got 8,000 retweets,
00:30:31.260 31,000 likes on Twitter.
00:30:33.080 Then,
00:30:33.480 afterward,
00:30:34.200 Lockhart says,
00:30:34.980 okay,
00:30:35.280 maybe I made up the convo.
00:30:36.740 But you know that's exactly
00:30:38.140 what they're thinking.
00:30:40.060 So he just admits,
00:30:41.220 I totally made that up.
00:30:42.320 I was totally fictitious.
00:30:44.340 That second tweet got 800 retweets
00:30:46.520 and 8,500 likes.
00:30:48.660 There were an order of magnitude
00:30:50.420 more retweets to the fake news
00:30:52.400 than there was to the correction,
00:30:55.240 to the admission
00:30:55.780 that that was not true.
00:30:58.220 We've got to get to Tulsi suing Hillary,
00:31:00.140 which is just so, so great.
00:31:02.180 We'll get to an important line
00:31:03.420 from Trump on the environment,
00:31:04.440 and then we'll get to the mailbag.
00:31:05.500 But first,
00:31:06.420 before all of that,
00:31:07.720 I've got to tell you
00:31:09.600 about Paint Your Life,
00:31:10.520 which I absolutely love.
00:31:11.720 If you want to give a meaningful gift,
00:31:13.540 go to paintyourlife.com.
00:31:14.960 What is Paint Your Life?
00:31:15.880 You can have an original painting
00:31:17.120 of yourself,
00:31:18.060 your kids,
00:31:18.820 your family,
00:31:19.660 a place that you all love,
00:31:21.080 a favorite pet.
00:31:22.300 You can have an original painting
00:31:23.680 made at a price
00:31:25.080 that you can afford,
00:31:26.280 and that's at paintyourlife.com.
00:31:27.820 I want to be clear.
00:31:29.160 This is not some computerized gimmick.
00:31:31.020 This is a true painting
00:31:32.320 done by hand
00:31:33.300 by a world-class artist,
00:31:35.520 all created from a favorite photo.
00:31:37.660 It makes the perfect gift
00:31:38.600 for any holiday.
00:31:40.140 I was a little skeptical.
00:31:42.660 I didn't think you could get
00:31:43.400 a really good painting like this
00:31:44.520 through an online vendor,
00:31:46.800 so for my stepbrother's wedding,
00:31:49.280 I decided to try it out on him.
00:31:50.780 I uploaded one of his wedding photos.
00:31:52.820 You get to pick the artist.
00:31:53.900 You get to work with the artist
00:31:54.620 throughout the process.
00:31:55.460 You get to see a bunch
00:31:56.200 of different updates.
00:31:58.560 If you don't love the final painting,
00:32:00.020 your money is refunded,
00:32:00.940 so I get the painting.
00:32:01.680 I look at it.
00:32:02.480 It's absolutely beautiful.
00:32:04.000 Absolutely beautiful.
00:32:04.880 I mean, unbelievable work,
00:32:07.060 and I'm already planning
00:32:09.780 to use them again
00:32:10.840 for more paintings.
00:32:11.700 It's just so, so cool.
00:32:13.000 Right now is a limited-time offer.
00:32:14.320 You can get 30% off your painting.
00:32:16.660 That is 30% off,
00:32:19.020 3-0, and free shipping
00:32:20.280 to get this special offer.
00:32:21.680 Text Michael, M-I-C-H-A-E-L,
00:32:23.220 to 64,000.
00:32:24.260 You will not regret it.
00:32:25.640 Michael to 64,000.
00:32:26.960 Text M-I-C-H-A-E-L to 64,000.
00:32:29.820 All right.
00:32:30.760 Before we get into the mailbag,
00:32:33.420 before we get into Tulsi,
00:32:34.320 before we get into a great
00:32:35.320 environmental speech
00:32:37.020 that President Trump just gave
00:32:38.160 that no one's talking about,
00:32:39.700 I've got to say goodbye
00:32:40.560 to Facebook and YouTube.
00:32:42.300 We were talking about pro-life today,
00:32:43.680 obviously,
00:32:44.040 for the anniversary
00:32:44.820 of Roe v. Wade
00:32:45.720 and for the March for Life.
00:32:47.020 While the pro-abortion activists
00:32:48.360 are shouting their abortions
00:32:49.520 on national TV
00:32:50.440 and referring to pre-born babies
00:32:52.220 as parasites,
00:32:53.520 pro-lifers are fighting back.
00:32:54.900 All of us here at The Daily Wire
00:32:56.140 have spoken out for life.
00:32:57.840 Last year,
00:32:58.280 Ben Shapiro addressed
00:32:59.100 a crowd of 100,000
00:33:00.300 at the March for Life
00:33:01.580 in Washington, D.C.
00:33:03.680 Our advertisers,
00:33:04.960 as a result of those actions,
00:33:06.280 were targeted
00:33:06.940 by left-wing fake media
00:33:08.860 watchdogs and operatives,
00:33:10.300 and we lost a lot
00:33:11.320 of revenue from that.
00:33:12.080 This is a constant battle
00:33:13.440 to protect pro-life advocacy
00:33:15.120 from the forces of abortion.
00:33:17.940 Another group
00:33:18.360 that has experienced
00:33:19.000 this is live action.
00:33:20.260 Live action is one
00:33:21.000 of the most important voices
00:33:22.100 in the pro-life movement.
00:33:23.420 They have helped
00:33:23.740 to expose Planned Parenthood
00:33:25.060 and other abortion clinics
00:33:26.580 for the horrific crimes
00:33:27.760 they commit.
00:33:28.820 Pro-abortion activists
00:33:29.660 have targeted live action
00:33:30.960 and censored them
00:33:31.980 on social media platforms
00:33:33.460 when they don't succeed
00:33:34.560 in kicking them off
00:33:35.400 altogether.
00:33:36.280 That's why our Daily Wire members
00:33:38.960 are so important.
00:33:40.280 Your membership helps
00:33:41.120 keep our cameras on,
00:33:42.160 it keeps our microphones
00:33:42.940 turned up,
00:33:43.500 even when the left
00:33:44.180 is pressuring our sponsors.
00:33:46.180 You can keep
00:33:46.760 the pro-life message
00:33:47.940 from being canceled
00:33:48.760 from now until January 31st.
00:33:51.200 A portion of any
00:33:52.500 dailywire.com membership
00:33:53.700 will be donated
00:33:54.560 to live action
00:33:55.400 with the promo code
00:33:56.660 liveaction.
00:33:57.620 Join dailywire.com,
00:33:58.680 make your pro-life voice heard.
00:34:00.220 Head on over,
00:34:00.920 we'll be right back
00:34:01.600 with a lot more.
00:34:14.480 I don't know
00:34:15.060 if you remember this,
00:34:16.940 but a little while ago,
00:34:18.760 Hillary Clinton
00:34:19.500 accused Democratic
00:34:22.500 presidential candidate
00:34:23.440 Tulsi Gabbard
00:34:24.280 of being a Russian asset,
00:34:27.700 of being a Russian stooge.
00:34:29.120 Here's Hillary Clinton.
00:34:30.520 I'm not making
00:34:31.780 any predictions,
00:34:33.000 but I think
00:34:33.680 they've got their eye
00:34:34.400 on somebody
00:34:34.820 who's currently
00:34:35.240 in the Democratic primary
00:34:36.780 and are grooming her
00:34:38.540 to be the third-party candidate.
00:34:40.300 She's the favorite
00:34:40.920 of the Russians.
00:34:42.280 They have a bunch
00:34:43.340 of sites and bots
00:34:44.900 and other ways
00:34:46.860 of supporting her so far.
00:34:48.860 They being Vladimir Putin
00:34:51.960 and the Russians.
00:34:53.060 And just in case
00:34:54.400 you were unclear
00:34:55.780 of whether she's really
00:34:56.640 talking about Tulsi Gabbard
00:34:57.700 because Clinton doesn't
00:34:58.840 refer to her by name,
00:34:59.860 Hillary Clinton's spokesman
00:35:01.300 came on later,
00:35:02.500 was asked specifically,
00:35:03.680 are you talking
00:35:04.180 about Tulsi Gabbard?
00:35:05.240 And he confirmed that
00:35:07.400 in no uncertain terms.
00:35:09.180 He said,
00:35:09.740 if the nesting doll fits.
00:35:11.400 Okay, so now,
00:35:12.600 Tulsi Gabbard
00:35:13.160 not going to take it
00:35:13.840 lying down.
00:35:14.460 She's not going to take it
00:35:15.180 like Jeffrey Epstein did.
00:35:17.620 Reportedly.
00:35:18.280 No, I don't,
00:35:18.840 I'm kidding.
00:35:19.500 Or am I?
00:35:20.000 I don't know.
00:35:21.180 Tulsi Gabbard
00:35:22.040 is suing Hillary Clinton
00:35:23.320 for defamation
00:35:24.060 over her remarks
00:35:26.220 about this,
00:35:27.040 this Russian asset accusation.
00:35:30.720 Tulsi Gabbard's lawyers
00:35:31.940 are saying that
00:35:33.200 Clinton's comments
00:35:33.980 smeared her political
00:35:35.720 and personal reputation.
00:35:37.820 Quote,
00:35:38.120 Tulsi Gabbard
00:35:38.640 is a loyal American
00:35:39.500 civil servant
00:35:40.160 who has also dedicated
00:35:41.300 her life to protecting
00:35:42.260 the safety of all Americans.
00:35:44.720 Absolutely true.
00:35:45.620 You got to remember,
00:35:46.320 Tulsi Gabbard's put on
00:35:47.180 a uniform.
00:35:47.740 Tulsi Gabbard has served
00:35:48.720 in the U.S. military.
00:35:50.180 The smear from Hillary
00:35:51.100 was totally expected
00:35:53.140 when you look at
00:35:54.280 Clinton's political history.
00:35:55.760 But it was still
00:35:56.340 so, so wrong.
00:35:57.160 I love that she's
00:35:57.820 fighting back.
00:35:58.700 This reminds me
00:35:59.440 of the Nick Sandman
00:36:01.040 Covington Kids
00:36:01.900 lawsuit against the press
00:36:03.460 who baselessly smeared them
00:36:04.980 as racists and bigots
00:36:06.440 for wearing a MAGA hat.
00:36:08.220 I wish Tulsi Gabbard
00:36:09.320 very well.
00:36:10.480 I don't think Tulsi Gabbard
00:36:11.560 should ever be president.
00:36:12.780 I don't think she should
00:36:13.980 get anywhere near
00:36:14.640 the Oval Office.
00:36:15.580 But I really,
00:36:16.380 really like
00:36:16.900 that the infighting
00:36:18.160 among Democrats
00:36:18.780 is now so intense
00:36:20.020 that you've got
00:36:20.960 a presidential candidate
00:36:22.360 suing
00:36:23.620 the former
00:36:25.240 presidential nominee
00:36:26.320 for millions and millions
00:36:27.500 and millions of dollars.
00:36:28.440 That is just too sweet.
00:36:29.460 Before we go,
00:36:30.020 I want to highlight something
00:36:31.220 that President Trump
00:36:33.220 said at Davos.
00:36:34.800 He was at the
00:36:35.100 World Economic Forum.
00:36:36.880 Group of all of these
00:36:37.860 kind of crazy
00:36:38.600 Western elites,
00:36:40.500 businessmen,
00:36:41.600 politicians,
00:36:42.280 they all gather
00:36:42.820 and talk about
00:36:43.340 how wonderful they are
00:36:44.200 and why they should
00:36:45.080 all run our lives.
00:36:46.540 And President Trump
00:36:47.460 was there.
00:36:47.940 He gave a speech
00:36:48.480 about how America's
00:36:49.300 come back
00:36:49.880 and how he got
00:36:51.160 the last laugh here
00:36:52.080 on the World Economic Forum.
00:36:54.300 He also gave a speech
00:36:55.520 about the environment.
00:36:56.940 Environmentalism,
00:36:57.540 climate change,
00:36:58.220 hysteria has become
00:36:59.380 the most famous
00:37:02.080 religious issue
00:37:03.060 of the left.
00:37:03.980 The left speaks of it
00:37:04.980 in religious terms,
00:37:05.880 right?
00:37:06.360 They talk about
00:37:06.960 the end of days,
00:37:07.980 the world is all ending
00:37:08.980 in 12 years
00:37:10.200 or 18 months
00:37:11.500 if you ask
00:37:12.320 some of those politicians
00:37:13.920 and public figures.
00:37:15.580 They talk about
00:37:16.700 how you need to
00:37:17.600 confess your climate sins.
00:37:19.360 I mean,
00:37:19.680 NBC News set up
00:37:20.420 a website
00:37:20.860 that was a confessional
00:37:22.680 for all of your sins
00:37:24.260 against the environment.
00:37:25.520 You can even buy
00:37:26.160 indulgences
00:37:26.880 in the form
00:37:27.320 of carbon tax credit.
00:37:28.720 It has a full
00:37:29.840 religious system
00:37:33.200 to it,
00:37:34.180 this environmentalism.
00:37:35.300 And President Trump
00:37:36.080 totally put the kibosh
00:37:38.000 on it.
00:37:38.540 He exposed it
00:37:39.560 for what it was
00:37:40.200 and he said,
00:37:41.100 we are charting
00:37:41.620 a different course
00:37:42.300 in America.
00:37:42.840 Here is President Trump.
00:37:44.240 But to embrace
00:37:45.240 the possibilities
00:37:46.120 of tomorrow,
00:37:46.960 we must reject
00:37:47.800 the perennial prophets
00:37:49.000 of doom
00:37:49.700 and their predictions
00:37:51.300 of the apocalypse.
00:37:54.480 They are the heirs
00:37:55.800 of yesterday's foolish
00:37:56.880 fortune tellers
00:37:57.840 and I have them
00:37:58.840 and you have them
00:37:59.700 and we all have them
00:38:00.740 and they want to see us
00:38:02.840 do badly
00:38:03.340 but we don't let that happen.
00:38:06.120 They predicted
00:38:06.800 an overpopulation crisis
00:38:08.920 in the 1960s,
00:38:10.440 mass starvation
00:38:11.240 in the 70s
00:38:12.280 and an end of oil
00:38:14.300 in the 1990s.
00:38:16.640 These alarmists
00:38:17.500 always demand
00:38:18.340 the same thing,
00:38:19.260 absolute power
00:38:20.040 to dominate,
00:38:21.080 transform and control
00:38:22.100 every aspect
00:38:22.840 of our lives.
00:38:24.160 We will never let
00:38:25.180 radical socialists
00:38:26.600 destroy our economy,
00:38:28.000 wreck our country
00:38:28.820 or eradicate
00:38:30.660 our liberty.
00:38:32.840 America will always
00:38:33.700 be the proud,
00:38:34.860 strong and unyielding
00:38:36.840 bastion of freedom.
00:38:38.640 Great, great speech
00:38:40.320 and I encourage you
00:38:40.880 to watch the whole thing.
00:38:42.660 What Trump points out
00:38:44.300 explicitly is that
00:38:45.680 these environmental
00:38:47.100 doomsdayers
00:38:48.360 always get their
00:38:50.160 predictions perfectly wrong.
00:38:52.800 They get their
00:38:54.060 priorities perfectly wrong
00:38:55.660 and we see that today.
00:38:58.000 You know,
00:38:58.760 the New York Times
00:38:59.660 clamoring
00:39:00.560 on a daily basis
00:39:02.040 with hysterical predictions
00:39:04.380 about global warming,
00:39:06.280 how we have to stop
00:39:07.200 using plastic straws
00:39:08.580 or else the world
00:39:09.540 is going to end.
00:39:10.640 Hysterical stuff.
00:39:12.740 And in that very same paper,
00:39:14.720 they'll talk about
00:39:15.400 how we have to kill babies
00:39:16.620 and we should never
00:39:17.280 regret killing babies.
00:39:19.080 They cry,
00:39:20.280 they sob,
00:39:21.040 they weep
00:39:21.680 if you accidentally
00:39:23.000 put too much salt
00:39:24.920 in the water
00:39:25.480 for the Delta smelt
00:39:26.640 in California.
00:39:27.880 They're so furious.
00:39:30.140 They're rending
00:39:31.180 their garments
00:39:31.780 if you use
00:39:32.600 a plastic straw
00:39:33.680 because they're afraid
00:39:35.220 of the sun monster.
00:39:36.180 If you put a little
00:39:36.920 carbon dioxide
00:39:38.280 into the air,
00:39:39.360 if you cut down
00:39:40.520 a tree,
00:39:41.400 they will cry.
00:39:42.140 And they will celebrate
00:39:44.320 when you kill
00:39:45.520 a million babies
00:39:46.860 a year
00:39:47.220 in the United States alone.
00:39:49.520 They care more
00:39:50.340 about the rocks
00:39:51.060 than about human beings.
00:39:53.080 This is perennial
00:39:54.200 with the left.
00:39:55.340 The left always says
00:39:56.280 they love humanity
00:39:57.060 but they don't seem
00:39:57.660 to like individual humans
00:39:59.040 all that very much.
00:40:01.780 They don't seem
00:40:02.460 to have a whole lot
00:40:02.900 of compassion
00:40:03.380 for the individual human
00:40:04.580 whose life is about
00:40:05.320 to be snuffed out
00:40:06.120 in his mother's womb.
00:40:06.920 Those are two
00:40:09.540 completely opposite ways
00:40:11.320 of viewing the world.
00:40:12.600 One version
00:40:13.280 in which
00:40:13.940 we prioritize
00:40:16.640 trees
00:40:17.540 and little fish
00:40:19.160 and rocks
00:40:20.620 over human beings
00:40:22.300 and one
00:40:23.420 in which we say
00:40:24.420 man has inherent dignity
00:40:26.100 and we should respect
00:40:27.800 that dignity
00:40:28.380 and we should take care
00:40:29.620 of our environment
00:40:30.320 in so much
00:40:30.940 as we're stewards
00:40:31.660 of our environment
00:40:32.500 and in so much
00:40:33.220 as that would be pleasing
00:40:34.080 and beneficial
00:40:34.660 to human beings.
00:40:35.900 Do you want
00:40:36.440 a world view
00:40:38.280 focused on the trees
00:40:39.600 and on the rocks
00:40:40.460 or do you want
00:40:41.080 a world view
00:40:41.720 that elevates
00:40:43.480 and respects
00:40:44.060 human beings?
00:40:44.920 That's the choice.
00:40:45.600 You got the left
00:40:46.120 on one hand
00:40:46.640 you got the right
00:40:47.420 on the other
00:40:47.920 and the current
00:40:49.180 right wing leader
00:40:50.160 in the United States
00:40:50.980 President Trump
00:40:51.740 is making that
00:40:52.840 very clear
00:40:53.300 and he's going
00:40:53.580 to make it clear
00:40:54.020 today at the March for Life.
00:40:54.980 Let's get into
00:40:55.320 the mailbag
00:40:55.820 in our remaining time
00:40:56.840 from Jason.
00:40:57.960 Hi Michael.
00:40:58.940 A few months ago
00:40:59.660 I definitely made a mistake
00:41:01.000 especially because
00:41:02.200 I'm Catholic
00:41:02.720 resulting in my
00:41:04.400 girlfriend's pregnancy.
00:41:05.300 Ah, I think I know
00:41:06.880 what mistake
00:41:07.320 you're talking about.
00:41:08.720 She and I are both
00:41:09.280 pro-life
00:41:09.800 and despite being
00:41:10.760 17 and 18
00:41:11.600 I know she won't
00:41:12.640 abort the child.
00:41:14.220 About two weeks
00:41:14.880 after finding out
00:41:15.700 she left me
00:41:16.560 wants nothing to do
00:41:17.540 with me
00:41:17.920 including refusing
00:41:18.920 to contact me
00:41:19.880 and giving updates
00:41:21.160 about the child.
00:41:22.080 I'm graduated
00:41:22.800 not in college.
00:41:24.020 I'm currently working
00:41:24.760 into a decent
00:41:25.380 financial lifestyle
00:41:26.340 but for all I know
00:41:27.420 my ex could already
00:41:28.660 have an adoption plan
00:41:29.840 set up.
00:41:30.540 I don't know.
00:41:31.580 What advice
00:41:32.120 do you have for me?
00:41:33.020 Thanks.
00:41:33.460 Love the show.
00:41:34.000 Jason.
00:41:35.280 Okay, you're in a tough spot.
00:41:37.900 I'm not going to minimize that.
00:41:39.620 Obviously
00:41:40.060 it's very hard
00:41:43.040 to imagine
00:41:43.520 that there's a perfect
00:41:44.400 solution to all of this.
00:41:46.200 However
00:41:46.640 you should rest easy.
00:41:49.200 You should
00:41:49.640 lie back and relax.
00:41:50.960 You should be so happy
00:41:52.040 that you
00:41:53.440 it does not seem like
00:41:54.520 you're going to make
00:41:54.940 this huge mistake
00:41:55.800 of killing your child
00:41:56.680 that you will regret
00:41:57.840 for the rest of your life
00:41:58.900 and that your
00:41:59.760 ex-girlfriend
00:42:00.700 will regret
00:42:01.260 for the rest of her life.
00:42:02.600 Now, you've got to
00:42:03.900 own your mistakes.
00:42:05.700 Right?
00:42:06.000 You, along with
00:42:06.820 pretty much every other
00:42:07.640 teenager in America
00:42:08.540 had
00:42:10.060 had some sexual
00:42:12.740 experiences before marriage.
00:42:14.100 Right?
00:42:14.320 That happens
00:42:14.860 all the time.
00:42:15.760 You're not the only one
00:42:16.380 that that's happened to
00:42:17.120 and there are consequences
00:42:18.620 for that.
00:42:19.800 One of the consequences is
00:42:21.080 your girlfriend
00:42:21.960 gets pregnant.
00:42:22.980 Now, I guess
00:42:23.480 in a perfect world
00:42:24.500 you guys would
00:42:25.460 get married
00:42:26.020 and raise the kid
00:42:26.700 but maybe
00:42:27.980 that's not going to happen.
00:42:28.860 I mean, she's
00:42:29.480 she's got the right
00:42:30.820 not to marry you.
00:42:32.740 She could do that.
00:42:33.820 That's one of the risks
00:42:34.480 you run with
00:42:35.120 sex outside of marriage.
00:42:37.760 Now, if she gives
00:42:38.880 the child away
00:42:39.540 for adoption
00:42:40.200 that's going to take away
00:42:41.740 a lot of your rights.
00:42:42.860 If she decides
00:42:43.680 to raise the child herself
00:42:44.940 you will very likely
00:42:46.820 have more rights.
00:42:47.940 So you'll have to try
00:42:48.780 to discuss that with her.
00:42:50.440 Now, she might not
00:42:51.220 want to talk to you right now.
00:42:52.260 She might be under
00:42:52.740 a lot of pressure.
00:42:53.600 I suspect
00:42:54.120 she is.
00:42:55.020 She's 17 years old
00:42:56.060 and she's pregnant.
00:42:56.820 So I would have
00:42:58.120 some empathy
00:42:58.740 for her there
00:42:59.420 or at least
00:43:00.020 some sympathy rather
00:43:00.820 because she's in
00:43:02.860 an emotionally
00:43:03.960 very difficult spot
00:43:05.080 and already
00:43:05.900 you two
00:43:06.520 have made
00:43:07.320 the single
00:43:08.980 most important choice
00:43:09.780 you can
00:43:10.100 which is not
00:43:10.800 to kill
00:43:11.680 the child.
00:43:13.400 If that is
00:43:14.400 all you get out of this
00:43:15.340 and she gives the child
00:43:16.140 away for adoption
00:43:16.820 or she raises it
00:43:18.020 on her own
00:43:18.420 or she raises it
00:43:19.180 with a stepfather
00:43:20.220 you could still
00:43:21.520 rest easy.
00:43:24.380 What I would recommend
00:43:25.480 is
00:43:26.060 give her a little bit
00:43:27.860 of time
00:43:28.280 be respectful
00:43:29.140 she's in
00:43:30.040 just as much stress
00:43:30.920 as you are
00:43:31.320 she's in probably
00:43:32.020 a lot more stress
00:43:32.740 than you are
00:43:33.300 and then
00:43:34.260 try to discuss
00:43:35.800 what will happen
00:43:36.460 into the future
00:43:37.200 and you need to be
00:43:38.040 willing to accept
00:43:38.920 the prospect
00:43:39.860 that your child
00:43:40.940 is given away
00:43:41.940 for adoption
00:43:42.520 or
00:43:42.980 if you would prefer
00:43:43.800 to raise the child
00:43:44.440 yourself
00:43:44.800 you have to make
00:43:45.860 that argument
00:43:46.480 to her.
00:43:47.340 You don't have
00:43:47.640 a ton of rights
00:43:48.160 in this situation
00:43:48.960 that's one of the
00:43:49.880 consequences
00:43:50.420 of your actions
00:43:52.400 and you'll
00:43:53.480 have to live with that
00:43:54.720 but I think
00:43:56.340 once the emotion
00:43:57.280 of the situation
00:43:57.900 has died down
00:43:58.600 a little bit
00:43:59.100 you may be able
00:44:00.380 to speak this
00:44:00.980 with her
00:44:01.440 you just have
00:44:01.980 to do it
00:44:02.500 respectfully
00:44:03.300 you have to do it
00:44:04.680 responsibly
00:44:06.400 acknowledging that
00:44:07.640 some of this
00:44:09.200 is your fault
00:44:09.940 some of the
00:44:10.800 problems that
00:44:11.760 you're having
00:44:12.140 here are
00:44:12.680 your fault
00:44:13.600 and you should
00:44:15.240 do it with hope
00:44:15.820 and you should
00:44:16.280 do it at least
00:44:17.560 joyful in the
00:44:18.560 knowledge that
00:44:19.260 your child
00:44:19.840 is not going
00:44:20.300 to be killed
00:44:20.740 from Joshua
00:44:22.240 Michael
00:44:23.720 as a well-dressed
00:44:24.960 fellow yourself
00:44:25.700 what are your
00:44:26.720 thoughts on the
00:44:27.500 three-piece suit
00:44:28.200 is it too much
00:44:29.580 for an attorney
00:44:30.200 thanks for your
00:44:31.160 wisdom
00:44:31.460 I love the
00:44:33.860 three-piece suit
00:44:34.500 but it depends
00:44:35.760 how you wear it
00:44:36.480 you don't want
00:44:37.020 to end up
00:44:37.500 in one of these
00:44:37.960 my cousin
00:44:38.480 Vinny kind of
00:44:39.080 situations
00:44:39.660 you look ridiculous
00:44:41.380 or like you're
00:44:42.040 some dandy
00:44:42.560 from the 19th
00:44:43.340 century
00:44:43.700 but if you
00:44:45.140 if you wear
00:44:45.860 a modest
00:44:46.680 three-piece suit
00:44:47.580 that that
00:44:48.180 isn't
00:44:49.360 you know
00:44:49.860 wouldn't fit in
00:44:50.900 on like
00:44:51.460 Liberace
00:44:52.020 playing in
00:44:52.760 Las Vegas
00:44:53.220 or something
00:44:53.740 then I think
00:44:54.740 it can work
00:44:55.100 very well
00:44:55.560 when you wear
00:44:56.180 the three-piece
00:44:56.700 suit
00:44:56.980 I would recommend
00:44:58.480 do not button
00:44:59.260 the jacket
00:44:59.780 I think that
00:45:00.700 the waistcoat
00:45:01.880 being buttoned
00:45:02.560 and the jacket
00:45:03.000 being open
00:45:03.500 is a much
00:45:03.880 nicer look
00:45:04.440 it's a little
00:45:05.060 more casual
00:45:05.700 it's a little
00:45:06.660 easier to pull
00:45:08.860 off today
00:45:09.280 but I'm a big
00:45:09.760 fan of it
00:45:10.200 absolutely
00:45:10.620 go for it
00:45:11.340 people dress
00:45:12.000 like schlubs
00:45:12.600 all over this
00:45:13.160 country
00:45:13.480 you could bring
00:45:14.480 a little class
00:45:15.160 from Dylan
00:45:16.060 dear Michael
00:45:16.700 do you believe
00:45:17.980 that the left
00:45:18.600 has become
00:45:19.420 so radical
00:45:20.060 that there
00:45:20.780 are millions
00:45:21.320 of Democrats
00:45:21.900 who will vote
00:45:22.940 for Trump
00:45:23.400 in 2020
00:45:24.060 I always hear
00:45:24.680 vote blue
00:45:25.140 no matter who
00:45:25.880 yet I've seen
00:45:26.800 people in my
00:45:27.400 personal life
00:45:28.000 such as my mom
00:45:28.780 who's a Democrat
00:45:29.440 stating that she
00:45:30.180 will most likely
00:45:30.740 vote for Trump
00:45:31.440 in 2020
00:45:32.380 just because
00:45:33.300 of how the
00:45:34.580 Democrats have
00:45:35.080 acted in the past
00:45:35.720 three to four years
00:45:36.460 do you think
00:45:36.880 she is the exception
00:45:37.680 or the norm
00:45:38.320 thanks for everything
00:45:39.040 I think there are
00:45:40.960 a lot of Democrats
00:45:41.660 who could vote for Trump
00:45:42.580 because Trump
00:45:43.880 is not a normal
00:45:44.500 Republican
00:45:45.000 I mean he's a guy
00:45:45.580 who in the 90s
00:45:46.220 said I'm very very
00:45:46.840 pro-choice
00:45:47.360 because I'm from New York
00:45:48.200 he's a guy
00:45:49.640 who supported
00:45:50.120 Democratic politicians
00:45:51.160 he's a guy
00:45:52.000 who talks
00:45:52.580 differently
00:45:53.240 than other Republicans
00:45:54.480 and he's a guy
00:45:55.180 who on substantive
00:45:56.000 policy matters
00:45:56.880 has behaved
00:45:58.300 in a different way
00:45:59.340 from other Republicans
00:46:00.180 in the way he talks
00:46:01.160 about economics
00:46:01.760 in the way he talks
00:46:02.340 about trade deficits
00:46:03.660 in the way he talks
00:46:04.480 about tariffs
00:46:05.160 the way he talks
00:46:06.620 about foreign policy
00:46:07.420 so certainly
00:46:08.680 they could get
00:46:09.400 Democrats
00:46:10.200 I think
00:46:11.340 part of the reason
00:46:13.040 Democrats
00:46:13.680 and normal
00:46:14.940 left winger
00:46:15.420 maybe that's a
00:46:16.480 contradiction in terms
00:46:17.260 people who are typically
00:46:18.380 left wing
00:46:19.000 could go over
00:46:20.820 to the Republican side
00:46:21.720 this time
00:46:22.120 is in part because of Trump
00:46:23.100 he is a unique candidate
00:46:24.080 but I think in part
00:46:25.480 it's actually beyond
00:46:27.700 these practical
00:46:28.420 political issues
00:46:29.140 and it comes down
00:46:29.820 to things like
00:46:30.540 Democrats won't admit
00:46:32.520 that there are only
00:46:33.160 two biological sexes
00:46:34.460 Democrats
00:46:35.560 had a whole debate
00:46:37.480 over LGBTQ
00:46:38.660 issues
00:46:40.400 in which they pretended
00:46:41.720 that men can be women
00:46:42.740 Julian Castro
00:46:44.320 a Democratic presidential
00:46:45.400 candidate
00:46:45.880 endorsed abortion rights
00:46:47.400 not only for women
00:46:48.260 but for men
00:46:48.980 trans women
00:46:50.980 you know men
00:46:52.620 who now pretend
00:46:53.500 to be women
00:46:53.960 that's probably
00:46:55.680 a little bit too far
00:46:56.620 and I think
00:46:58.500 in particular
00:46:59.160 in some of these states
00:47:00.060 that President Trump
00:47:01.600 needs to win
00:47:02.200 some of the states
00:47:02.720 that are going to decide
00:47:03.340 the election
00:47:03.740 Wisconsin, Michigan,
00:47:04.860 Pennsylvania
00:47:05.220 these are places
00:47:08.140 that are
00:47:09.720 pretty normal
00:47:11.180 you know
00:47:11.520 they're not as radical
00:47:12.580 as Los Angeles
00:47:13.540 or New York City
00:47:15.260 and so
00:47:16.520 those social
00:47:18.920 questions
00:47:19.660 are really going
00:47:20.540 to matter
00:47:21.020 that radicalism
00:47:22.380 is not going to
00:47:22.920 play very well
00:47:23.640 in those places
00:47:24.640 and I think
00:47:25.680 it gives Trump
00:47:26.260 a big advantage
00:47:27.360 and it's going to
00:47:27.800 give him advantage
00:47:28.340 by taking votes
00:47:29.060 from Democrats
00:47:29.920 and centrist voters
00:47:31.240 and independent voters
00:47:32.220 from Margo
00:47:32.980 hey Michael
00:47:33.500 in light of your show
00:47:35.020 theme from earlier
00:47:35.820 this week
00:47:36.300 about wanting royalty
00:47:37.960 without the responsibility
00:47:39.420 I was thinking
00:47:40.860 that idea
00:47:41.400 could also be connected
00:47:42.360 with abortion
00:47:42.960 most of the time
00:47:44.020 abortion goes back
00:47:44.760 to wanting the pleasure
00:47:45.520 of sex
00:47:45.860 without the responsibility
00:47:46.780 of parenthood
00:47:47.440 what are your thoughts
00:47:48.580 and is it possible
00:47:49.440 to convince leftists
00:47:50.980 that taking responsibility
00:47:52.080 is a good thing
00:47:52.960 keep the great shows
00:47:54.300 coming as you get closer
00:47:55.260 to 500 episodes
00:47:56.780 thank you very much Margo
00:47:57.860 yes of course
00:47:58.880 I mean of course
00:47:59.460 people
00:47:59.800 the reason you have sex
00:48:01.320 outside of marriage
00:48:01.880 is because you
00:48:02.380 because sex is extremely fun
00:48:03.760 and marriage
00:48:04.760 requires accountability
00:48:06.140 and responsibility
00:48:07.000 and duty
00:48:07.920 and obligation
00:48:08.460 and people want to have fun
00:48:09.840 and they don't want to
00:48:10.440 they want to lock
00:48:11.760 themselves down
00:48:12.420 it's perfectly
00:48:13.160 understandable
00:48:13.840 totally get it
00:48:14.900 however
00:48:16.260 people are falling
00:48:19.240 into a very
00:48:20.440 easy temptation
00:48:22.840 which is
00:48:24.280 to believe
00:48:25.460 that duty
00:48:27.000 is unpleasant
00:48:27.860 that obligation
00:48:28.580 is unpleasant
00:48:29.440 that if we were free
00:48:30.900 from our jobs
00:48:32.140 and our obligations
00:48:33.020 and the things
00:48:33.960 we have to do
00:48:34.500 for our loved ones
00:48:35.640 and our families
00:48:36.260 if we could just do
00:48:37.020 whatever the hell
00:48:37.660 we wanted
00:48:38.080 all day long
00:48:38.900 we would be so happy
00:48:40.420 and live such a good life
00:48:41.680 and that is just BS
00:48:43.240 the playwright
00:48:44.980 George Bernard Shaw
00:48:45.840 said that
00:48:47.080 hell is the place
00:48:48.500 where you've got
00:48:49.000 nothing to do
00:48:49.620 but amuse yourself
00:48:50.520 and that's true
00:48:51.980 when people don't have
00:48:53.280 anything to do
00:48:53.940 when they don't have
00:48:54.300 any obligations
00:48:54.920 when they don't have
00:48:55.340 any demands on them
00:48:56.220 they get depressed
00:48:57.660 you know
00:48:59.660 I waited for a long time
00:49:00.840 to get married
00:49:01.380 considering
00:49:02.980 I met my wife
00:49:04.160 when we were like
00:49:04.680 10 years old
00:49:05.220 I waited until
00:49:07.080 my late 20s
00:49:07.820 to get married
00:49:08.360 because in this culture
00:49:09.880 especially where I come
00:49:10.620 from New York
00:49:11.240 and I live in Los Angeles
00:49:12.120 I was just always told
00:49:13.200 oh don't get married
00:49:14.020 until you're in your 30s
00:49:14.860 try not to get married
00:49:15.900 until you're 40
00:49:16.620 or even later
00:49:17.440 that'll be so much better
00:49:18.880 you just focus only on you
00:49:20.340 and don't tie yourself down
00:49:21.900 and don't have any commitments
00:49:22.820 and your life will be
00:49:23.460 a lot better
00:49:23.880 and I realize
00:49:24.960 that's just completely untrue
00:49:26.040 I wish I'd gotten married
00:49:26.960 earlier
00:49:27.380 because you find meaning
00:49:29.180 in your life
00:49:29.860 precisely through obligation
00:49:31.960 precisely through duty
00:49:33.800 when you just pursue
00:49:35.380 your own desires
00:49:36.400 and appetites all day long
00:49:37.740 that doesn't leave you
00:49:38.840 feeling very satisfied
00:49:40.120 it's actually insatiable
00:49:41.900 you're not going to think
00:49:43.520 gosh I lived a great life
00:49:44.740 I'm glad I did
00:49:45.300 whatever I wanted
00:49:46.000 you actually find meaning
00:49:48.720 in life
00:49:49.240 through obligation
00:49:50.680 and duty
00:49:52.480 and
00:49:53.180 it's always going to be
00:49:55.120 a temptation
00:49:55.600 just to pursue
00:49:56.300 your own selfish desires
00:49:57.460 but if you want to live
00:49:58.540 a good life
00:49:59.100 and be pleased with yourself
00:50:00.260 in the end
00:50:00.760 pleased with how you lived it
00:50:01.820 it's going to be
00:50:03.160 through responsibility
00:50:04.040 and speaking of meaning
00:50:05.940 you know
00:50:06.700 I'm leaving you now
00:50:07.820 for the weekend
00:50:08.380 we'll be back
00:50:09.720 on the Michael Knowles show
00:50:10.580 on Monday
00:50:11.020 but I'm not leaving you
00:50:12.700 completely without any content
00:50:14.060 because we've got
00:50:14.980 the first episode out now
00:50:16.020 of my new show
00:50:16.680 with PragerU
00:50:17.460 it's called The Book Club
00:50:19.020 and the book that we will
00:50:20.240 be examining
00:50:20.820 is Man's Search for Meaning
00:50:22.740 a really important book
00:50:24.480 so go check that out
00:50:25.440 that's by Viktor Frankl
00:50:26.340 and it's going to be
00:50:26.960 Dennis Prager and I
00:50:27.800 discussing that
00:50:28.400 so you can find that
00:50:28.920 at PragerU
00:50:29.480 and then I've got another show
00:50:30.900 that is going to be coming out
00:50:31.740 every single night now
00:50:32.980 through impeachment
00:50:33.600 which is
00:50:34.800 the Ted Cruz podcast
00:50:37.380 Verdict with Ted Cruz
00:50:38.980 I will be there
00:50:40.320 joining the senator
00:50:41.060 every single night
00:50:41.880 we'll be breaking down
00:50:42.820 impeachment
00:50:43.460 that includes tonight
00:50:44.280 and tomorrow
00:50:45.080 and every day
00:50:46.100 that there is
00:50:46.960 a hearing on that
00:50:47.860 and of course
00:50:48.480 you can check out
00:50:49.220 the last few episodes
00:50:51.060 of the final season
00:50:52.260 of Another Kingdom
00:50:53.020 this three season long
00:50:54.760 journey
00:50:55.440 Andrew Klavan's
00:50:56.120 narrative podcast
00:50:57.080 that I think
00:50:57.760 is just absolutely
00:50:59.400 terrific stuff
00:51:00.260 and I'm so glad
00:51:01.160 I had the privilege
00:51:01.780 to read it
00:51:02.260 all these years
00:51:02.700 so you can check that out
00:51:03.520 that's a lot of content
00:51:04.460 for this weekend
00:51:05.520 and if somehow
00:51:06.300 you make it through
00:51:06.940 all that
00:51:07.420 and I'll see you
00:51:08.280 back here on Monday
00:51:08.920 I'm Michael Knowles
