Summary

As we approach the 45th day since President Trump told us to hunker down for 15 days to slow the spread, some people are beginning to wonder if these lockdowns are destroying our liberty. Unfortunately, our liberty problems run a lot deeper than being locked in your house for a few weeks, and both sides of the aisle are to blame.

00:00:30.320 As more and more people around the country get arrested for leaving their homes,
00:00:34.540 as we approach the 45th day since President Trump told us to hunker down for 15 days to slow the spread,
00:00:41.300 some people are beginning to wonder if these lockdowns are destroying our liberty.
00:00:45.400 Unfortunately, our liberty problems run a lot deeper than being locked in your house for a few weeks,
00:00:49.660 and both sides of the aisle are to blame.
00:00:52.080 Then, more evidence emerges that Joe Biden got handsy with the staffer in the 90s,
00:00:56.540 as the mainstream media steadfastly and courageously refuse to ask him any questions about it.
00:01:02.840 The government confirms the existence of UFOs, okay,
00:01:05.760 and Nancy Pelosi wants to bribe you with your own money.
00:01:08.840 All that and more.
00:01:09.880 I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:11.720 Lots of worries about our liberty.
00:01:23.540 You'd think, remember 15 days to slow the spread?
00:01:26.440 Then it was, what would it become, 20 days, 25, 30, 35?
00:01:29.700 I think we're about 45 days now.
00:01:32.740 We have slowed the spread, and yet some politicians don't want to lighten up at all.
00:01:38.260 We will get to those incursions, because I think some people are freaking out about a loss of liberty
00:01:43.340 because of these particular regulations.
00:01:46.440 The problem is a lot deeper than that.
00:01:48.740 We'll get to that in a moment.
00:01:49.500 First, I've got to thank our friends over at Books.
00:01:52.700 If you can't be with your mother this Mother's Day, and chances are you probably can't,
00:01:57.260 then flowers are the perfect thing to send her.
00:01:59.400 I just put in my Mother's Day orders, and you should, too.
00:02:04.000 Maybe you can't give mom a hug.
00:02:05.500 You can always send flowers from the Books Company.
00:02:08.180 Books, what's Books stand for?
00:02:09.880 It's short for bouquet.
00:02:11.060 Doesn't that make sense?
00:02:12.160 Books are responsibly sourced from some of the world's finest eco-friendly farms,
00:02:16.180 even farms on the sides of volcanoes.
00:02:19.460 Wow.
00:02:20.180 So, flowers stay fresher longer.
00:02:22.540 Did you know that flowers and plants have been proven to reduce stress and boost productivity?
00:02:27.020 Yeah, duh.
00:02:27.660 Also, they look nice, and they smell nice.
00:02:30.180 Having flowers in the home is just something civilized people should do.
00:02:33.560 So, you can send those flowers to your mom, your wife, your grandma, a dog mom,
00:02:38.280 or you can treat yourself.
00:02:40.180 And I am a huge proponent of treating yourself to flowers.
00:02:43.060 It just makes everything nicer in the house.
00:02:45.060 Send smiles, no matter the miles, with books.com slash Knowles.
00:02:49.280 That's B-O-U-Q-S dot com slash Knowles.
00:02:54.300 Enter code Knowles for 25% off your entire order.
00:02:57.060 That's my Mother's Day gift to you.
00:02:58.600 Code Knowles for 25% off at books.com slash Knowles.
00:03:02.560 I think we have fallen from reasonable lockdown measures into total farce.
00:03:13.840 We did that over the weekend in Oxnard, California,
00:03:19.280 in Gavin Newsom's left-wing hellscape of California.
00:03:23.960 In Oxnard, some people went to the beaches.
00:03:28.780 The beaches are kind of opening up a little bit in California.
00:03:32.320 A 93-year-old couple went to the beach.
00:03:35.920 They stayed far away from everybody, totally socially distanced,
00:03:40.700 and they sat down on some beach chairs in the sand.
00:03:44.700 And a mounted police officer on a giant horse comes trotting over to them and says,
00:03:51.200 Hey, you, you can't sit in that chair.
00:03:55.580 This is Gavin Newsom's California.
00:03:57.500 He ordered the couple out of the chairs.
00:04:00.280 They were allowed to sit in the sand,
00:04:01.700 but they were not allowed to sit in the chairs
00:04:03.680 because apparently letting 93-year-olds sit in chairs spreads coronavirus.
00:04:07.680 But if they sit in the sand, they're okay.
00:04:09.400 Here's the clip.
00:04:10.040 I'll narrate because it's a little hard to hear the audio.
00:04:14.700 Guy comes on over there on the horse.
00:04:17.300 They're old people!
00:04:19.300 You can hear an onlooker says,
00:04:21.380 They're old people!
00:04:22.140 Not exactly the most polite thing to say.
00:04:24.660 The 93-year-old guy kind of gets out of the chair, stands up.
00:04:27.600 They're resting from their walking limits,
00:04:31.260 but they don't want chairs.
00:04:33.240 They don't want tents.
00:04:34.500 Cops says, They don't want chairs.
00:04:35.820 Sorry.
00:04:37.920 Chairs are permanent.
00:04:39.020 The sand is temporary.
00:04:40.640 Because luckily some younger people are walking.
00:04:44.700 Over there saying, How old are you?
00:04:46.140 It's kind of a rude thing to ask a woman,
00:04:47.680 but they're saying, They're old people, officer.
00:04:49.600 What are you doing?
00:04:50.640 Are you insane that you're going to tell 93-year-olds
00:04:53.940 they can't sit in a chair?
00:04:55.160 And of course, this is insane.
00:04:57.820 But this is the state that we've come to
00:05:00.140 in these power grab cities.
00:05:05.220 That now we, look, I get it.
00:05:08.420 The leftists and the experts and the politicians
00:05:11.120 are embarrassed that they got this so wrong.
00:05:13.160 They said it would be 2.2 million dead in America.
00:05:16.300 They said it may be 4 million dead in America.
00:05:18.320 Then they revised that down to half a million.
00:05:20.140 Then they revised it down to 200,000.
00:05:21.520 Then it was 100,000.
00:05:22.340 Now they're estimating between 60 and 100,000.
00:05:26.520 That's good news, right?
00:05:27.720 We've lowered the death toll projections
00:05:30.760 by more than an order of magnitude.
00:05:32.940 But they're trying to justify it any way they can.
00:05:36.540 So they say, You can't go out.
00:05:37.920 You can't go to work.
00:05:38.820 You can't go to the beaches.
00:05:40.060 Even if you can go to the beaches,
00:05:41.420 because obviously there's no reason
00:05:42.540 that you can't go to the beaches,
00:05:43.680 especially if you're socially distanced.
00:05:45.040 You can't sit in a chair, Grandma.
00:05:47.360 All right?
00:05:47.820 This is disgusting stuff.
00:05:49.240 And if we still had a backbone as a people,
00:05:51.520 if we still had any sense of liberty,
00:05:53.400 not in the shallow sense of let me do exactly what I want to do,
00:05:57.580 but in the sense of being responsible people,
00:06:01.480 having the great traditions of Western liberty,
00:06:05.800 if we still had that,
00:06:07.000 if we were still Americans, damn it,
00:06:09.200 we wouldn't put up with this kind of thing.
00:06:11.300 But instead, we're being told from paternalistic politicians
00:06:15.020 that we've got to do exactly what they say,
00:06:17.280 no matter how arbitrary,
00:06:18.660 or they're going to take away from us
00:06:20.460 even the few liberties that we still have remaining.
00:06:22.920 That's what we're getting from Governor Patrick Bateman.
00:06:25.900 I'm sorry, Governor Gavin Newsom.
00:06:28.420 Governor Gavin Newsom comes out and he says,
00:06:30.420 Look, we're willing to lighten up a little bit
00:06:32.720 on some of these regs,
00:06:34.260 but you have to do exactly what I say.
00:06:35.960 And if you don't do exactly what I say,
00:06:37.320 then we're going to tighten up again.
00:06:39.520 The reality is we are just a few weeks away,
00:06:42.220 not months away from making measurable
00:06:46.140 and meaningful changes to our stay-at-home order.
00:06:50.500 That is a very optimistic point to emphasize.
00:06:53.840 However, that's driven by data.
00:06:56.640 It's driven by behavior.
00:06:58.580 And as we change our behavior,
00:07:00.360 we can impact the science, the health, and the data.
00:07:04.060 We have to manage and augment our behavior.
00:07:07.200 And that's why I cannot impress upon you more
00:07:09.200 to those Californians watching
00:07:11.460 that we can't see the images like we saw,
00:07:14.740 particularly on Saturday in Newport Beach
00:07:17.020 and elsewhere in the state of California.
00:07:19.660 The message is very clear, right?
00:07:21.460 The message is,
00:07:23.080 Be good little boys and girls,
00:07:25.080 and maybe I'll let you go to the beach sometimes.
00:07:27.680 But if you're not, I'm turning this car around
00:07:30.080 and we're going straight home.
00:07:31.420 Okay, Daddy Newsom.
00:07:32.820 Okay, well, I promise I'll be a good little boy.
00:07:35.220 Just let me go to work, please.
00:07:36.840 Let me maybe walk to the beach or something.
00:07:40.040 Give me a break.
00:07:40.640 Like, this guy, man.
00:07:42.700 Also, I cannot watch Gavin Newsom speak
00:07:45.940 without getting just pure American psycho vibes.
00:07:49.540 Like, every time, I know he opened his mouth
00:07:51.240 and he said, look, we need to social distance
00:07:53.020 and change our behavior
00:07:54.420 because then we can go to the beach.
00:07:55.740 All I could hear was,
00:07:57.860 do you like Huey Lewis in the news?
00:07:59.780 It's not just about the pleasures of conformity
00:08:01.500 and the importance of trends.
00:08:02.360 It's also a personal statement about the band itself.
00:08:04.400 That's all I'm getting is just pure Patrick Bateman from him.
00:08:08.740 And it's a psycho message that he has for all of his constituents.
00:08:14.040 We want to reopen.
00:08:15.320 We're going to reopen the beaches,
00:08:16.180 but you've got to change your behavior, little boys and girls.
00:08:20.220 Something tells me our grandparents would not have stood
00:08:22.800 for this kind of condescension from the politicians.
00:08:26.520 This kind of arbitrary flex of power.
00:08:32.040 Because virtually every conservative I've talked to
00:08:35.260 has not disputed that the states have police powers.
00:08:39.360 I'm not disputing that.
00:08:40.320 They do have police powers, especially during a pandemic.
00:08:43.040 No one's disputing that the local mayors do
00:08:44.960 or frankly, even that the president does.
00:08:47.380 What we are against is arbitrary exercises in power
00:08:51.620 that don't do anything to actually protect the public health.
00:08:56.000 And day by day, it's becoming clearer
00:08:58.100 that that's what we're seeing here.
00:08:59.720 There are similar stories all over.
00:09:02.020 Undercover cops in Laredo, Texas,
00:09:03.960 just launched an incredible sting operation.
00:09:08.320 They did it.
00:09:09.260 You know, they're down in Laredo.
00:09:10.600 There are a lot of problems down there, okay?
00:09:12.760 And they've taken out the two biggest criminals,
00:09:16.420 two women who had a little private beauty salon in their house.
00:09:20.020 They did it.
00:09:21.960 They shut down people who were helping other women look nice.
00:09:28.200 That's it.
00:09:28.900 Forget the drugs, forget the crime.
00:09:30.080 They're letting criminals out of prison left and right,
00:09:31.840 but they shut down two small business owners.
00:09:34.840 We'll get to that in one moment.
00:09:35.940 First, I gotta thank our friends over at LegalZoom.
00:09:37.840 Speaking of legal troubles, I love LegalZoom.
00:09:41.440 I've used these guys since before the Daily Wire existed.
00:09:43.560 I trust them for everything on the multiple small businesses
00:09:46.960 that I've been involved in in my life
00:09:48.520 and that I am still involved in.
00:09:51.020 One thing that you really shouldn't put off
00:09:53.640 that everybody should do is estate planning, okay?
00:09:57.160 I've had a will since I was 18 years old, maybe even 17.
00:10:01.140 Health and safety is on top of everybody's mind,
00:10:03.960 especially at this moment.
00:10:04.920 No matter what happens,
00:10:05.700 you wanna make sure your loved ones are protected.
00:10:07.680 That's why LegalZoom continues to provide a reliable way
00:10:10.000 for everyone to set up the right estate plan
00:10:12.920 without leaving your home.
00:10:14.020 It starts with finding the answers to your questions.
00:10:16.400 Do you need a last will and testament or a living trust?
00:10:19.340 Or what about an advanced healthcare directive?
00:10:21.720 What about power of attorney, right?
00:10:22.860 There are a lot of questions.
00:10:23.680 LegalZoom's online resources make it easy to get started.
00:10:25.840 I trust these guys.
00:10:27.240 I've trusted them for years.
00:10:29.260 Go check them out.
00:10:30.200 Use them.
00:10:30.620 They're great.
00:10:31.000 Take an important step for your family today.
00:10:32.900 Go to LegalZoom.com to get started on a last will,
00:10:37.020 living trust, and more.
00:10:38.080 Make sure you enter the code Knolls,
00:10:40.140 K-N-W-L-E-S, at checkout for special savings.
00:10:42.560 That's LegalZoom.com, code Knolls.
00:10:44.660 LegalZoom, where life meets legal.
00:10:48.520 Yes, the authorities in Laredo, Texas, have done it.
00:10:54.360 They arrested two women in an undercover sting operation.
00:10:59.880 Operation Rouge, I don't know.
00:11:02.660 Operation Put Some Powder On and Comb Your Hair
00:11:06.960 for violating the city's shutdown.
00:11:08.860 Ana Isabel Gastro-Garcia and Brenda Stephanie Mata
00:11:12.140 have been operating a cosmetology business from their home
00:11:16.740 because they're not allowed to go to work anymore.
00:11:18.940 People need to make money.
00:11:20.540 We got, what is it, 23, 24 million unemployed right now at least.
00:11:24.620 We've got nearly 20% unemployment,
00:11:26.840 so people got to make some money.
00:11:28.000 The $1,200 check you got from the federal government
00:11:29.920 not going to last you for three months.
00:11:31.660 And so they were taking some clients out of their homes
00:11:34.680 and the Laredo lockdown says that you can't operate
00:11:39.220 non-essential businesses defined somewhat arbitrarily.
00:11:43.780 And so the women get arrested.
00:11:45.320 How did they even know this business was going on?
00:11:48.020 The women were reported anonymously
00:11:51.380 through the department's Snitch app.
00:11:55.580 We've seen these apps in New York.
00:11:57.100 We've seen them all around the country.
00:11:58.720 It's a new app to turn citizens
00:12:01.460 into government spies on each other.
00:12:05.000 It's the most disgusting part of the whole story.
00:12:07.120 And you're seeing this spread all throughout the U.S.
00:12:09.400 And guess what?
00:12:10.020 Once this pandemic's over, guess what's not going away?
00:12:12.820 Those apps, those Snitch apps,
00:12:14.320 that culture that turns fellow citizens
00:12:16.400 into snitches on one another.
00:12:19.200 In both cases, an undercover officer
00:12:21.420 working with the COVID-19 task force
00:12:23.580 made contact with these women,
00:12:27.040 asked for the service.
00:12:29.100 So this is a total setup, right?
00:12:30.520 It's not like the women were out there
00:12:31.820 passing out flyers saying,
00:12:33.200 hey, come to my basement
00:12:34.040 so I can put some blush on you.
00:12:36.760 These cops went up there, set up these women,
00:12:38.920 then charged the women with a class B misdemeanor,
00:12:41.420 which carries a maximum potential penalty
00:12:44.100 of 180 days in jail
00:12:45.960 and a $1,000 fine for the crime
00:12:48.420 of operating a cosmetology business
00:12:51.740 and taking some clients
00:12:53.420 when they weren't allowed to work.
00:12:55.560 Two women have already had to fork up $500 bonds
00:12:58.180 for recognizance bonds to be released from jail.
00:13:02.500 Totally disgusting stuff.
00:13:06.020 And look, maybe these women will get out.
00:13:07.860 Maybe some judge will rule
00:13:09.620 that this was an outrageous government overstep.
00:13:12.160 I hope that's what happens.
00:13:14.540 But the snitch culture is going to remain.
00:13:17.920 What's so crazy is that Texas is currently reopening.
00:13:20.840 They say that they're going to let their lockdown order
00:13:22.580 expire on Thursday
00:13:23.740 with some restrictions still in place.
00:13:27.760 But Thursday they're going to open up.
00:13:29.260 Doesn't matter.
00:13:29.960 The government is still at the same exact time
00:13:32.120 going to flex their power arbitrarily.
00:13:35.860 Neighbors are narking on neighbors.
00:13:39.220 Cops are harassing 93-year-olds at the beach.
00:13:43.820 And teachers are wishing death on their students.
00:13:47.740 Yes, apparently I thought that
00:13:50.060 cops booting 93-year-olds out of their chairs
00:13:52.660 was going to be the craziest thing I saw.
00:13:54.120 I thought cops wasting resources
00:13:56.860 on shutting down cosmetology business.
00:13:59.300 I thought that'd be the craziest thing.
00:14:00.340 No.
00:14:01.560 There's a teacher caught on tape
00:14:02.860 in New Jersey
00:14:04.220 shrieking at her students
00:14:07.180 saying that she wishes death upon them
00:14:11.380 because they were throwing a football
00:14:13.620 in a public park.
00:14:14.660 I don't know that you can hear me over your music.
00:14:18.460 Park, close.
00:14:20.000 You will get arrested if the cops come.
00:14:22.660 Wait, can we go over there?
00:14:24.520 Is that crazy enough for you?
00:14:25.780 Can we go over there?
00:14:26.940 Park, close.
00:14:28.560 The whole area.
00:14:31.780 Get it through your thick head.
00:14:34.180 You are the reason we are in this situation.
00:14:37.060 You are the problem,
00:14:38.440 not the solution.
00:14:40.600 Go ahead, keep recording.
00:14:42.180 Who are you going to show it to?
00:14:43.800 Post me on social media.
00:14:45.400 You're the idiot doing the wrong thing.
00:14:47.700 I'm just trying to save your a**
00:14:49.720 and save your life.
00:14:51.100 But die, okay?
00:14:52.340 I hope both of you get the coronavirus.
00:14:54.160 I hope you both die a long, painful death.
00:14:56.980 I hope you both die a long, painful death,
00:15:02.340 says the teacher to her students.
00:15:05.700 The most worrying effect of all of this,
00:15:12.500 you see it a little bit in the snitch culture
00:15:14.640 and the apps and everyone's on edge.
00:15:16.700 It's this frenzy.
00:15:18.320 It's this hysteria.
00:15:20.120 That is going to be a longer term problem.
00:15:22.500 Look how easily the American people
00:15:24.660 have been whipped into a frenzy
00:15:26.600 based on basically nothing.
00:15:28.580 I mean, what she says to these kids here is,
00:15:31.340 you're the reason that we're in this mess.
00:15:33.540 You, kids throwing a football around in a park
00:15:37.740 are the reason that we have a global pandemic.
00:15:40.200 Now, this just obviously on its face is not true.
00:15:42.600 China is the reason we have a global pandemic.
00:15:44.820 China and the Wuhan Institute of Virology, very likely,
00:15:49.260 and certainly the Chinese Communist Party,
00:15:52.360 which covered it up and allowed the pandemic
00:15:53.940 to spread 95% worse than anyone expected it would,
00:15:57.640 and the World Health Organization,
00:15:59.300 which covered up for China.
00:16:00.480 They're the reason, okay?
00:16:01.580 Not kids throwing a football in New Jersey.
00:16:03.540 But this woman, this crazy woman,
00:16:06.740 has been whipped up into a frenzy
00:16:08.480 by the mainstream media, for sure,
00:16:12.960 by the politicians, for sure,
00:16:15.580 by the public health experts who got everything wrong.
00:16:19.100 Zeke Emanuel, remember Zeke Emanuel,
00:16:21.580 one of the architects of Obamacare?
00:16:23.120 He's the brother of Rahm Emanuel,
00:16:25.400 big Democratic operative.
00:16:27.320 Zeke, one of the leading,
00:16:29.180 exalted, vaunted experts in the white lab coat.
00:16:32.180 He made a prediction a little while ago,
00:16:35.400 about a month ago,
00:16:36.560 that 100 million people would have coronavirus by now.
00:16:41.920 Trouble with making political predictions
00:16:43.460 is occasionally you get called out for them.
00:16:46.040 You don't get called out by the mainstream media.
00:16:48.720 They just let them go and move on.
00:16:50.160 But occasionally,
00:16:51.280 some frustrating conservatives
00:16:53.640 actually go back and rewind the tape
00:16:55.240 and see how they did.
00:16:55.840 And it turns out they got them totally wrong.
00:16:58.560 And this kind of alarmism
00:17:00.180 is part of the reason
00:17:00.860 we're living in this culture right now.
00:17:02.300 We will get to that in a moment.
00:17:04.560 First, I gotta thank our friends over at Beard Supply.
00:17:08.620 You know, quarantine is giving people
00:17:11.720 the opportunity to try one interesting thing.
00:17:14.100 It's giving them the opportunity
00:17:15.300 to try out some new beard looks, right?
00:17:18.460 Some people try out a new beard look,
00:17:20.660 think, oh, maybe I'll let my facial hair grow in.
00:17:23.040 I'll join the ranks of the bearded brethren.
00:17:25.360 Well, maybe you missed the memo
00:17:27.760 because a beard is not just funny games.
00:17:29.960 Uh-uh.
00:17:30.440 It's not some fifth grade science experiment
00:17:32.280 with Mentos and soda.
00:17:33.880 Beards are a sacred art.
00:17:36.640 And Beard Supply is leading you to the promised land.
00:17:39.960 By now, you've discovered
00:17:41.560 that a full, healthy beard

00:17:53.980 better-looking beard.
00:17:54.840 I gotta tell you,
00:17:55.980 by the end of this ad,
00:17:57.000 I think I'm gonna grow out a beard.
00:17:58.300 I so want to join the bearded brethren,
00:18:01.500 but sometimes a little difficult
00:18:02.740 Beard Supply can help.

00:18:17.860 Zeke Emanuel,
00:18:21.780 one of the people
00:18:22.580 who whipped everyone up
00:18:23.480 into a frenzy.
00:18:25.560 And the frenzy,
00:18:26.100 frenzy is a real problem here.
00:18:27.540 Frenzy is compromising your liberty
00:18:29.060 a lot more even than Gavin Newsom.
00:18:31.580 So Zeke Emanuel comes out
00:18:32.780 on MSNBC a month ago,
00:18:33.880 and he says that we're gonna have
00:18:35.240 100 million cases
00:18:37.780 within a month.
00:18:39.400 Right now,
00:18:40.100 if you look at the numbers,
00:18:41.040 we probably have a million
00:18:42.220 COVID-19 cases
00:18:43.820 in the country.
00:18:44.820 And if this is doubling
00:18:46.600 every three to four days,
00:18:48.860 that means that we'll have
00:18:50.140 100 million people
00:18:51.340 who have COVID-19
00:18:52.400 in about four weeks.
00:18:54.280 That's a frightening thought.
00:18:56.100 That is a frightening thought.
00:18:57.960 Also, according to the official numbers,
00:19:00.460 off by 99%.
00:19:02.440 His estimate
00:19:05.060 was 100 times higher
00:19:08.400 than it actually is,
00:19:10.700 according to the official numbers.
00:19:12.720 But what is Zeke Emanuel using
00:19:14.800 if not the official numbers, right?
00:19:16.300 He's a public health official.
00:19:17.620 So according to the actual numbers,
00:19:19.320 not the Zeke Emanuel fantasies,
00:19:21.360 we have over a million
00:19:23.280 confirmed cases
00:19:24.620 in the United States.
00:19:25.540 Just a little bit over a million.
00:19:27.340 Obviously, that's a lot of people.
00:19:29.060 It's not over 100 million, though.
00:19:31.620 Million confirmed cases,
00:19:33.480 57,000 deaths.
00:19:36.160 It's kind of difficult
00:19:37.300 to track deaths
00:19:38.080 with coronavirus.
00:19:38.820 We've talked about this
00:19:39.420 on previous shows,
00:19:40.360 because if you die
00:19:41.280 with coronavirus,
00:19:42.180 you die of coronavirus,
00:19:43.440 according to the records.
00:19:44.600 And this is disproportionately
00:19:46.780 affecting people
00:19:47.560 with serious health problems
00:19:49.140 and who are older.
00:19:50.780 So for instance,
00:19:52.240 a former teacher of mine
00:19:53.740 very sadly died of coronavirus.
00:19:56.060 And he was 97 years old.
00:19:57.880 He was about to turn 98.
00:19:59.120 I think the guy
00:19:59.900 was strong as an ox
00:20:00.880 and he would have lived
00:20:01.400 until 105 probably,
00:20:02.780 if not for this thing.
00:20:03.740 But it's very difficult
00:20:04.880 to track these numbers,
00:20:06.840 because you're talking
00:20:08.840 in many cases
00:20:09.660 about people who are very old.
00:20:12.000 You're talking about people
00:20:12.900 who have a lot
00:20:13.980 of health problems.
00:20:14.540 So for instance,
00:20:15.140 let's say somebody's,
00:20:16.400 I don't know,
00:20:16.940 90 years old,
00:20:18.040 has stage 4 pancreatic cancer,
00:20:20.260 doesn't have very long
00:20:21.500 to live probably,
00:20:22.620 and then gets coronavirus.
00:20:24.720 That death will be marked
00:20:25.740 as coronavirus.
00:20:27.020 Really, you'd probably
00:20:27.780 attribute it to pancreatic cancer
00:20:29.140 or to advanced age.
00:20:30.940 So anyway,
00:20:31.620 very difficult to track.
00:20:32.520 But again,
00:20:32.840 we're using the official numbers,
00:20:33.760 so we've got 57,000 deaths.
00:20:35.560 If Zeke Emanuel is right,
00:20:39.360 and there are actually
00:20:40.340 100 million people
00:20:41.920 who have this,
00:20:43.520 who have not been tested,
00:20:45.560 who have not been confirmed for it,
00:20:46.920 then that is very encouraging
00:20:49.060 that the death rate
00:20:50.660 is so much lower
00:20:51.360 than we predicted, right?
00:20:52.400 If 100 million people
00:20:53.300 actually have it
00:20:53.920 and the death rate,
00:20:54.980 the total number of deaths
00:20:56.080 is only 57,000,
00:20:58.000 obviously it's still
00:20:58.720 a huge number,
00:20:59.940 but relative to 100 million,
00:21:01.000 that's an encouraging number
00:21:03.360 in any case.
00:21:04.100 If the number
00:21:06.320 is really that high,
00:21:07.380 by the way,
00:21:07.700 if it's 100 million people,
00:21:08.780 then we are well on our way
00:21:09.880 to herd immunity.
00:21:11.060 So it makes us question
00:21:13.340 why we still have
00:21:14.080 some of these lockdowns.
00:21:16.240 If the numbers
00:21:17.680 that Zeke Emanuel was giving
00:21:18.860 are right,
00:21:20.660 or if they are wrong,
00:21:22.680 either way,
00:21:23.820 I don't see the argument
00:21:25.360 for continuing the lockdowns.
00:21:27.580 The whole point of the lockdowns
00:21:29.080 was don't overrun
00:21:31.400 the healthcare system
00:21:32.300 and develop a vaccine.
00:21:34.100 Right?
00:21:36.020 Because you don't want
00:21:37.080 to overrun the healthcare system
00:21:38.080 because then more people die
00:21:39.240 than otherwise would.
00:21:41.160 And you want to
00:21:42.020 have the lockdowns
00:21:43.640 until you can get a vaccine
00:21:44.700 because then you've slowed
00:21:46.280 the rate so much,
00:21:47.220 then you have a vaccine
00:21:47.860 and it knocks it out.
00:21:48.580 We now know
00:21:49.200 we're not going to get a vaccine
00:21:50.300 within a year,
00:21:51.700 a year and a half,
00:21:53.060 at which point the virus
00:21:54.220 will have already spread everywhere.
00:21:55.480 And we know that we're not
00:21:56.380 overwhelming the healthcare system
00:21:57.500 because the Javits Center
00:21:58.380 Emergency Hospital
00:21:59.180 in New York was empty
00:22:00.180 and the USNS Comfort,
00:22:02.820 the hospital ship,
00:22:04.200 was empty.
00:22:05.400 It was gone.
00:22:05.920 So we don't need
00:22:06.740 to worry about that.
00:22:08.080 Yet,
00:22:09.220 despite all of that evidence,
00:22:11.140 the politicians
00:22:11.800 double down.
00:22:12.960 You want to know
00:22:13.300 how wrapped up we are
00:22:14.140 in the drama
00:22:14.620 of the coronavirus,
00:22:16.020 in the drama
00:22:16.660 of the lockdown,
00:22:18.100 in the drama
00:22:18.620 of Orange Man Bad?
00:22:20.960 Yesterday,
00:22:21.520 the US government
00:22:22.320 admitted
00:22:22.860 that there are UFOs
00:22:25.080 and nobody cares.
00:22:28.420 The US government
00:22:29.580 came out yesterday
00:22:30.520 and after
00:22:31.700 16 years
00:22:34.300 of questions
00:22:34.920 about one particular
00:22:36.060 aerial phenomenon,
00:22:37.900 but obviously decades
00:22:38.960 of other questions
00:22:39.720 about UFOs,
00:22:40.660 the US government
00:22:41.360 actually came out
00:22:42.060 and said,
00:22:42.380 yeah,
00:22:42.560 there are UFOs.
00:22:43.860 And everyone said,
00:22:44.840 yeah,
00:22:45.020 okay,
00:22:45.300 who cares?
00:22:45.860 Orange Man Bad?
00:22:46.860 What did Trump say
00:22:47.580 at the press conference?
00:22:48.460 Well,
00:22:48.740 we will get to what Trump
00:22:49.620 said at the press conference,
00:22:50.540 but first we got to talk
00:22:51.380 about the aliens.
00:22:52.860 Or I should be more specific.
00:22:54.940 The UFOs.
00:22:55.740 Here is some video.
00:22:56.660 I'll narrate it
00:22:57.320 because you can't
00:22:58.000 really hear that well.
00:22:59.940 Here's just some clips
00:23:01.060 of what people
00:23:01.840 are looking at
00:23:02.760 when they talk
00:23:03.760 about these UFOs.
00:23:04.520 So it's this object
00:23:06.160 that people are calling
00:23:08.260 a tic-tac
00:23:08.820 because it looks
00:23:10.180 kind of like a tic-tac.
00:23:11.040 It doesn't have wings.
00:23:12.960 It doesn't seem
00:23:13.560 to be being propelled
00:23:14.920 by anything in particular.
00:23:17.700 And some Navy pilots
00:23:19.280 have been able
00:23:19.740 to get it on camera.
00:23:21.680 So they're tracking it.
00:23:24.440 You know,
00:23:24.860 it's moving
00:23:25.300 in this kind of weird way.
00:23:28.720 It doesn't look
00:23:29.240 like a normal airplane
00:23:30.120 or even a drone.
00:23:31.760 It's kind of turning
00:23:32.440 in the air
00:23:33.220 and no one,
00:23:34.100 and it just like
00:23:34.600 comes to a stop
00:23:35.440 and they don't,
00:23:36.020 they just have no idea
00:23:36.920 what this thing is.
00:23:39.020 There's another one.
00:23:39.980 They caught it.
00:23:40.540 It was very,
00:23:41.880 very high up in the sky
00:23:42.860 and then it just plummeted
00:23:44.080 and got very close
00:23:45.260 to sea level
00:23:46.240 and then just kept flying
00:23:47.520 along the sea level.
00:23:48.360 And according to some
00:23:48.900 of these Navy pilots,
00:23:49.700 there actually
00:23:50.520 were a whole bunch
00:23:52.140 of these things.
00:23:52.760 There were like a dozen
00:23:53.360 or even more
00:23:54.120 and then by the time
00:23:55.480 they actually went
00:23:56.000 to film them,
00:23:56.600 they only caught this one.
00:23:57.980 But it is really weird.
00:23:59.040 It's moving in a weird way.
00:24:00.760 And some of these videos
00:24:02.620 came out,
00:24:04.080 they leaked,
00:24:04.580 you know,
00:24:04.780 a year or two ago,
00:24:06.040 maybe a year or two
00:24:06.580 before that.
00:24:07.660 But some of them
00:24:08.620 actually leaked
00:24:09.880 as early as,
00:24:11.360 I believe,
00:24:11.680 2004
00:24:12.580 and were published.
00:24:14.200 So we've already seen
00:24:15.180 a lot of these videos.
00:24:16.100 But anyway,
00:24:16.440 the government is acknowledging
00:24:17.360 that they exist now.
00:24:19.240 It seems to me
00:24:20.300 that there are
00:24:22.760 three possibilities here.
00:24:26.020 This could either be
00:24:27.240 U.S. government technology,
00:24:30.400 foreign government technology,
00:24:31.720 or to quote that guy
00:24:33.260 in the History Channel,
00:24:35.080 aliens.
00:24:36.640 Right?
00:24:37.300 You can't discount
00:24:38.440 the third possibility.
00:24:39.540 I mean,
00:24:39.680 I don't think it's exactly
00:24:40.700 the likely one,
00:24:41.500 but those are,
00:24:42.580 those are the three options.
00:24:43.900 U.S. government,
00:24:44.400 foreign government,
00:24:45.140 or aliens.
00:24:45.920 I suspect,
00:24:46.960 as I've suspected
00:24:47.620 the whole time,
00:24:48.600 that this is U.S. government
00:24:49.600 technology.
00:24:50.820 The government has been
00:24:51.620 stonewalling on this
00:24:52.580 for a long time,
00:24:53.500 now upwards of 16 years.
00:24:56.020 And they've determined
00:24:58.060 that there's nothing
00:24:58.720 particularly classified
00:24:59.740 in these videos.
00:25:01.680 And so,
00:25:02.920 you know,
00:25:03.500 if there's no risk
00:25:04.500 that the Chinese
00:25:05.180 or someone else
00:25:05.820 is going to get this first,
00:25:07.220 then they can release
00:25:08.160 some of these videos.
00:25:09.760 That would be
00:25:10.260 one reason to do it.
00:25:11.240 Another reason to do it
00:25:11.980 would be to make it clear
00:25:14.700 that Navy pilots
00:25:15.620 and other people
00:25:16.340 should feel comfortable
00:25:17.960 reporting this stuff
00:25:18.880 and you're not going to seem
00:25:19.640 like a total kook.
00:25:21.140 Right?
00:25:21.400 I think maybe part of the reason
00:25:22.480 why some people
00:25:23.180 haven't wanted to report
00:25:24.000 that they've seen
00:25:24.520 these aerial phenomena
00:25:25.380 is they don't want to seem
00:25:26.900 like they're tinfoil
00:25:27.980 hack conspiracy theorists.
00:25:29.460 But if the government
00:25:30.680 does know that
00:25:31.340 these kind of things exist,
00:25:32.760 then they,
00:25:33.500 they want to feel
00:25:34.180 a little more,
00:25:35.260 they want the people
00:25:36.280 who are seeing them
00:25:36.840 to feel more comfortable
00:25:37.500 reporting them.
00:25:38.700 That would also be true
00:25:39.660 if this is from
00:25:40.240 a foreign government.
00:25:41.000 We don't know exactly
00:25:41.800 what the technology is
00:25:43.780 or which government
00:25:44.400 is putting it out there
00:25:45.540 or, more importantly,
00:25:47.200 who is intruding
00:25:48.300 on U.S. airspace.
00:25:49.760 Because don't forget,
00:25:50.760 we're doing all sorts
00:25:51.620 of exercises
00:25:52.380 in the skies
00:25:53.200 in our airspace.
00:25:55.120 If some unidentified
00:25:56.720 flying object
00:25:57.660 comes in
00:25:58.360 and knocks out
00:25:59.800 some of our equipment
00:26:00.500 or, God forbid,
00:26:02.100 one of our pilots
00:26:02.700 or something,
00:26:03.480 that's a huge deal.
00:26:04.560 So they might want
00:26:06.420 to sound the alarm
00:26:07.220 on that a little bit
00:26:08.000 as well.
00:26:08.520 And then the third option
00:26:09.340 is that they're aliens
00:26:10.200 and I don't think
00:26:11.260 that's necessarily
00:26:11.900 the most likely option.
00:26:13.280 There are some
00:26:14.240 interesting analyses
00:26:15.340 of these things,
00:26:16.140 though,
00:26:16.640 that are floating
00:26:17.280 around the internet.
00:26:17.940 One piece,
00:26:18.420 I retweeted it earlier,
00:26:19.840 it's written by a guy
00:26:20.440 who said,
00:26:20.860 okay, bear with me,
00:26:21.680 here's the craziest
00:26:22.280 version yet,
00:26:23.200 that this is like
00:26:24.720 an alien or something,
00:26:25.800 something we just
00:26:26.280 genuinely don't know
00:26:27.040 what it is.
00:26:28.920 The way in which
00:26:30.020 this technology
00:26:30.700 is moving
00:26:31.280 is about 20,
00:26:33.600 22 times
00:26:34.340 faster
00:26:35.320 than,
00:26:37.200 for instance,
00:26:37.680 an F-18 technology
00:26:38.820 that we're very familiar
00:26:39.720 with.
00:26:40.420 And the analogy
00:26:41.280 that this author draws
00:26:42.480 is that looking
00:26:44.380 at this Tic Tac object
00:26:45.720 compared to an F-18
00:26:46.860 would be like someone
00:26:48.320 on a horse and buggy
00:26:49.260 500 years ago
00:26:50.260 looking up at the sky
00:26:51.480 and seeing an F-18.
00:26:52.960 It would be about
00:26:53.400 20,
00:26:54.000 22 times faster
00:26:55.040 than the horse and buggy
00:26:56.220 just as the Tic Tac
00:26:57.420 is 20,
00:26:57.920 22 times faster
00:26:59.520 than the airplane.
00:27:01.440 We don't know
00:27:02.260 what it is.
00:27:02.620 It's kind of interesting
00:27:03.380 and it says a lot
00:27:04.060 about our political
00:27:04.700 culture right now
00:27:05.560 that we don't care.
00:27:06.740 We're not interested
00:27:07.360 in these kind of
00:27:08.880 crazy wonders
00:27:09.860 of the world
00:27:10.500 because we're all busy
00:27:11.580 arguing about
00:27:12.920 the orange man's
00:27:14.460 press conferences
00:27:15.140 and how bad he is.
00:27:16.840 Right?
00:27:17.540 I think it was
00:27:18.140 at Chesterton
00:27:18.600 who said
00:27:19.020 the world
00:27:20.700 is not perishing
00:27:21.560 for want of wonders.
00:27:23.520 It's for want of wonder.
00:27:25.780 There are a lot of wonders
00:27:26.920 in the world
00:27:27.360 that we can look at
00:27:28.160 but we humans
00:27:29.780 don't have the capacity
00:27:30.660 to wonder at them.
00:27:32.000 And this actually
00:27:32.540 gets to our problem
00:27:33.700 on liberty here
00:27:35.300 which is a lot
00:27:36.080 a lot deeper
00:27:37.900 than just some governor
00:27:39.660 taking away some right
00:27:40.800 for some period of time.
00:27:42.160 We'll get to that
00:27:42.780 in a second.
00:27:43.220 We will get to
00:27:43.900 the danger of frenzy
00:27:45.620 the Trump press conference
00:27:46.580 and the final knock
00:27:50.100 on our liberty
00:27:50.840 which is coming
00:27:51.720 care of Nancy Pelosi.
00:27:53.100 First though
00:27:53.520 I've got to thank you.
00:27:55.440 I've got to thank you
00:27:56.000 for joining the Daily Wire
00:27:57.340 and if you haven't done that yet
00:27:58.340 come on over.
00:27:59.920 You know what you get.
00:28:00.580 You get all the shows.
00:28:01.440 You get to become
00:28:02.220 an All Access member.
00:28:03.020 You get the All Access show
00:28:03.800 which has been a lot of fun.
00:28:05.300 We have a lot of
00:28:06.380 different tiers now
00:28:07.240 and speaking of tiers
00:28:09.400 T-I-E-R-S
00:28:11.040 you should also think
00:28:12.100 of tiers T-E-A-R-S
00:28:13.940 because you're going
00:28:14.920 to want to contain
00:28:16.760 all of the leftist tiers
00:28:18.000 in a Tumblr
00:28:18.680 before you drown.
00:28:20.020 And these days
00:28:20.520 look there are a lot
00:28:21.040 more leftist tiers
00:28:21.740 going around
00:28:22.360 because the Democratic
00:28:24.060 presidential nominee
00:28:25.060 looks like he got
00:28:26.760 a little handsy
00:28:27.540 and even if he were
00:28:28.760 aware of what his name is
00:28:29.980 or where he is
00:28:31.880 he's probably still
00:28:33.460 not a viable candidate.
00:28:34.240 So the tiers are filling up
00:28:35.580 you're not going to be able
00:28:36.180 to contain them
00:28:36.640 in one vessel
00:28:37.360 you're going to need two.
00:28:38.700 Luckily we're there for you.
00:28:39.840 We're always there for you.
00:28:40.740 Right now if you become
00:28:41.440 an Insider Plus
00:28:42.020 or All Access member
00:28:42.820 you can double your tiers
00:28:43.960 with two leftist tiers tumblers.

00:28:56.080 Head on over to Daily Wire
00:28:56.900 we'll be right back.
00:28:57.780 We're in this kind
00:29:11.180 of frenzy right now
00:29:12.380 where the news
00:29:13.500 is telling us
00:29:14.340 zillions of people
00:29:15.360 are going to die
00:29:16.140 and we're just
00:29:17.420 we're so focused
00:29:18.980 on the present
00:29:19.680 that we can't zoom out
00:29:20.740 and get some
00:29:21.520 perspective.
00:29:23.760 Okay.
00:29:24.340 We're like so focused
00:29:25.320 on the political present
00:29:26.200 we're even ignoring the UFOs.
00:29:28.240 It's just unreal.
00:29:29.580 If you imagined
00:29:30.300 what it would be like
00:29:30.940 the day the government said
00:29:31.780 hey there's such a thing
00:29:32.540 as UFOs.
00:29:33.840 You would have thought
00:29:34.240 it'd be world news
00:29:35.420 everything would shut down
00:29:36.360 we'd be shocked
00:29:37.020 the president would come
00:29:37.860 out and make a statement.
00:29:38.820 Instead
00:29:39.140 they're ignoring it.
00:29:40.880 That's like page seven
00:29:41.820 of the newspaper.
00:29:44.040 One thing I've been
00:29:45.000 trying to encourage
00:29:45.760 since the beginning
00:29:46.320 of this whole pandemic
00:29:47.060 is some historical perspective.
00:29:51.080 Right?
00:29:51.980 Saying okay guys
00:29:53.040 let's see
00:29:53.480 we're shutting down
00:29:54.000 the global economy
00:29:54.720 for this pandemic.
00:29:55.380 We've had pandemics
00:29:56.480 before
00:29:56.980 like the Spanish flu
00:29:58.200 which was very bad
00:29:59.160 but we didn't do this
00:29:59.880 we didn't do that.
00:30:00.900 We've had other
00:30:01.480 virus scares
00:30:02.460 Zika
00:30:03.440 Ebola
00:30:04.120 HIV
00:30:05.480 we should you know
00:30:06.720 kind of maybe
00:30:07.540 temper our
00:30:08.140 and no
00:30:09.020 the left doesn't want you
00:30:10.720 to temper any
00:30:12.460 of your hysteria
00:30:13.460 with perspective.
00:30:14.560 The one thing
00:30:15.140 the media are trying
00:30:15.740 to discourage
00:30:16.360 number one
00:30:16.900 is historical
00:30:18.460 perspective.
00:30:20.720 Okay.
00:30:20.860 They won't let you
00:30:21.440 talk about historical precedent
00:30:22.520 they won't let you
00:30:23.040 talk about other illnesses.
00:30:23.820 If you say
00:30:24.880 hmm let's compare
00:30:25.620 this virus to the flu
00:30:26.560 they'll scream
00:30:28.120 and yell at you
00:30:28.720 and say you're not
00:30:29.160 allowed to do that.
00:30:29.880 Why?
00:30:30.200 I couldn't tell you why.
00:30:32.580 This is the real
00:30:33.740 threat to liberty.
00:30:36.280 This is why
00:30:37.360 tyrannical regimes
00:30:38.960 like in
00:30:40.340 fiction
00:30:41.340 or in reality
00:30:42.460 always want to
00:30:43.960 erase the past
00:30:44.980 because the past
00:30:46.640 is a great
00:30:47.620 bulwark
00:30:48.180 against
00:30:48.740 the political
00:30:50.120 overreaches
00:30:50.840 of the present.
00:30:51.620 And so in 1984
00:30:53.080 George Orwell
00:30:53.860 says there was
00:30:54.960 no such thing
00:30:55.640 as history.
00:30:56.180 History was erased.
00:30:57.100 There's only
00:30:57.400 the eternal present
00:30:58.640 in which the party
00:30:59.620 was always right.
00:31:01.060 The party is always
00:31:01.740 changing its narrative.
00:31:03.300 The left has changed
00:31:04.060 its narrative.
00:31:04.600 The media changed
00:31:05.180 its narrative
00:31:05.680 on the coronavirus
00:31:06.580 as they've been
00:31:07.480 more and more wrong
00:31:08.340 but they just deny
00:31:09.740 all the predictions
00:31:10.620 they made
00:31:11.060 the week prior
00:31:11.740 or two weeks prior.
00:31:13.740 This is the threat
00:31:14.600 to liberty
00:31:14.960 our lack of perspective
00:31:15.960 and our lack
00:31:16.700 of self-control.
00:31:17.760 Trump is not letting
00:31:18.420 the press derail him
00:31:19.400 though.
00:31:19.640 He never does.
00:31:20.440 Can't stump the Trump.
00:31:21.140 So the press now
00:31:23.040 have devolved
00:31:23.860 to asking questions
00:31:24.920 that are more or less
00:31:26.900 President Trump
00:31:28.000 when did you stop
00:31:28.580 beating your wife?
00:31:29.400 They're now
00:31:29.860 accusing President Trump
00:31:31.600 not only of being
00:31:32.200 responsible for the
00:31:33.040 coronavirus
00:31:33.540 because I guess
00:31:34.960 President Trump
00:31:35.520 was leading the
00:31:36.460 research in the
00:31:37.080 Wuhan laboratory
00:31:37.720 or something
00:31:38.260 or he was cooking
00:31:39.580 up bad batches
00:31:40.340 of bat soup.
00:31:41.800 They're not only
00:31:42.620 blaming him for that
00:31:43.460 they're comparing it
00:31:44.780 to the Vietnam War.
00:31:46.720 If an American
00:31:47.400 president loses
00:31:48.260 more Americans
00:31:49.280 over the course
00:31:50.240 of six weeks
00:31:50.940 and died
00:31:51.420 in the entirety
00:31:52.120 of the Vietnam War
00:31:53.380 does he deserve
00:31:54.080 to be reelected?
00:31:56.220 So yeah
00:31:57.480 we've lost
00:31:58.140 a lot of people
00:31:58.920 but if you look
00:32:00.100 at what original
00:32:01.660 projections were
00:32:02.620 2.2 million
00:32:03.740 we're probably
00:32:05.260 heading to
00:32:05.940 60,000
00:32:07.060 70,000
00:32:07.980 it's far too many
00:32:08.800 one person
00:32:09.400 is too many
00:32:09.980 for this
00:32:10.420 and I think
00:32:11.880 we've made
00:32:12.180 a lot of
00:32:12.520 really good decisions
00:32:13.400 the big decision
00:32:14.280 was closing
00:32:14.940 the border
00:32:16.000 or doing the ban
00:32:16.880 people coming
00:32:17.740 in from China
00:32:18.460 obviously
00:32:18.980 other than
00:32:19.500 American citizens
00:32:20.360 which had to
00:32:21.120 come in
00:32:21.520 can't say
00:32:22.600 you can't
00:32:23.060 come in
00:32:23.340 you can't
00:32:23.800 come back
00:32:24.100 to your country
00:32:24.640 I think
00:32:25.620 we've made
00:32:25.940 a lot of
00:32:26.300 good decisions
00:32:26.900 I think
00:32:27.320 that Mike Pence
00:32:28.140 and the task force
00:32:29.260 have done
00:32:30.020 a fantastic job
00:32:31.160 I think
00:32:32.020 that everybody
00:32:32.520 working on
00:32:33.160 the ventilators
00:32:33.920 you see
00:32:34.660 what we've
00:32:35.000 done there
00:32:35.400 have done
00:32:35.900 unbelievable
00:32:36.880 the press
00:32:37.360 doesn't talk
00:32:37.860 about ventilators
00:32:38.700 anymore
00:32:39.100 they just
00:32:39.800 don't want
00:32:40.100 to talk
00:32:40.400 about them
00:32:40.780 and that's
00:32:41.100 okay
00:32:41.420 but the reason
00:32:42.220 they don't
00:32:42.560 want to talk
00:32:42.920 that was a subject
00:32:43.680 that nobody
00:32:44.180 would get off
00:32:44.780 they don't
00:32:45.580 want to talk
00:32:46.060 about them
00:32:46.500 we're in
00:32:47.680 the same
00:32:48.040 position
00:32:48.460 on testing
00:32:49.140 we are
00:32:49.780 lapping
00:32:50.760 the world
00:32:51.300 on testing
00:32:51.900 and the world
00:32:52.420 is coming
00:32:52.860 to us
00:32:53.240 as I said
00:32:53.800 they're coming
00:32:54.220 to us
00:32:54.500 saying
00:32:54.640 what are you
00:32:55.060 doing
00:32:55.320 how do you
00:32:55.740 do it
00:32:56.020 we're helping
00:32:56.500 them
00:32:56.820 so no
00:32:58.060 I think
00:32:58.340 we've done
00:32:58.660 a great job
00:32:59.380 a great answer
00:33:00.820 from Trump
00:33:01.280 I would have
00:33:01.820 probably been
00:33:02.460 testier with
00:33:03.100 this reporter
00:33:03.660 because it's
00:33:04.060 such an absurd
00:33:04.700 question
00:33:05.240 as though
00:33:06.640 President Trump
00:33:07.280 is responsible
00:33:07.920 for a global
00:33:08.640 pandemic
00:33:09.180 that started
00:33:11.060 in China
00:33:11.560 and has gone
00:33:11.980 to every country
00:33:12.500 in the world
00:33:12.800 is Trump
00:33:13.160 responsible
00:33:13.520 for the deaths
00:33:14.020 in Italy
00:33:14.380 or the deaths
00:33:14.940 in Iran
00:33:15.400 or the deaths
00:33:16.020 in the rest
00:33:16.720 of Europe
00:33:17.060 or the deaths
00:33:17.520 in the UK
00:33:17.980 or the dead
00:33:18.580 no of course
00:33:19.220 not
00:33:19.560 is it
00:33:21.720 what are you
00:33:22.780 talking about
00:33:23.460 and but Trump
00:33:24.120 what he keeps
00:33:25.100 going back to
00:33:25.600 is he says
00:33:26.000 you know
00:33:26.260 we've done
00:33:26.920 a great job
00:33:27.560 we did a great
00:33:28.100 job on this
00:33:28.560 we did a great
00:33:29.020 job on this
00:33:29.440 we did a great
00:33:29.900 job on ventilators
00:33:30.880 remember the
00:33:31.340 ventilators
00:33:31.820 until he said
00:33:32.640 that I forgot
00:33:33.460 about the
00:33:33.820 ventilators
00:33:34.400 the ventilators
00:33:35.300 were the biggest
00:33:35.720 story
00:33:36.000 it's all anybody
00:33:36.500 would talk
00:33:36.940 about
00:33:37.180 we need to
00:33:38.020 get more
00:33:38.280 ventilators
00:33:38.860 Andy Cuomo
00:33:39.320 said we don't
00:33:39.660 have enough
00:33:39.920 ventilators
00:33:40.540 by the way
00:33:41.060 turns out
00:33:41.400 the ventilators
00:33:41.920 don't even
00:33:42.220 really work
00:33:42.680 that well
00:33:43.060 according to
00:33:43.940 various studies
00:33:44.520 that have been
00:33:44.800 done
00:33:45.020 most people
00:33:46.220 who go on
00:33:46.780 the ventilators
00:33:47.440 end up dying
00:33:48.200 the ventilators
00:33:49.520 are kind of
00:33:49.740 a last ditch
00:33:50.240 effort
00:33:50.460 and they don't
00:33:50.780 really seem
00:33:51.140 to work
00:33:51.420 so even
00:33:51.860 even the idea
00:33:52.900 that the
00:33:53.200 ventilators
00:33:53.640 were the key
00:33:54.140 to stopping
00:33:54.900 the carnage
00:33:55.720 of the virus
00:33:56.200 does not appear
00:33:57.460 to be backed
00:33:57.840 up by evidence
00:33:58.560 but that was
00:33:59.720 the whole story
00:34:00.520 and then President
00:34:01.040 Trump ramped up
00:34:01.760 production of the
00:34:02.300 ventilators
00:34:02.820 worked very well
00:34:03.940 and all of a sudden
00:34:04.680 the press
00:34:05.000 forgets about it
00:34:05.640 it's had a memory
00:34:06.340 hole
00:34:06.620 all of these
00:34:07.960 stupid talking
00:34:09.280 points on the virus
00:34:10.120 and what Trump
00:34:10.640 is trying to do
00:34:11.240 is bring that
00:34:12.340 back up
00:34:12.880 it's part of the
00:34:14.180 reason that he
00:34:14.640 keeps going back
00:34:15.160 he says wait a second
00:34:15.720 you remember when
00:34:16.200 you guys tried
00:34:16.640 to impeach me
00:34:17.240 hey remember
00:34:18.160 when you tried
00:34:18.660 to say I was
00:34:19.160 a Russian stooge
00:34:20.160 you remember that
00:34:21.100 do you remember
00:34:21.860 that because you
00:34:22.280 wouldn't
00:34:22.820 if you're just
00:34:24.740 watching the
00:34:25.200 mainstream media
00:34:25.840 you become
00:34:26.280 hypnotized by
00:34:27.080 the mainstream
00:34:27.460 media
00:34:27.740 you become
00:34:28.140 whipped up
00:34:28.600 into a frenzy
00:34:29.280 you lose
00:34:30.040 all perspective
00:34:30.740 and when you're
00:34:31.920 whipped into a frenzy
00:34:32.820 that's the threat
00:34:33.760 to liberty
00:34:34.260 I can't stress
00:34:35.440 this enough
00:34:35.860 it's not
00:34:36.540 just the edicts
00:34:38.580 that come out
00:34:39.000 of the governor's
00:34:39.560 mansions
00:34:39.940 it's your own
00:34:40.740 behavior
00:34:41.180 and we are
00:34:41.740 increasingly being
00:34:42.600 accustomed to
00:34:43.440 behavior that is
00:34:44.320 not befitting
00:34:45.140 a free people
00:34:46.200 speaking of
00:34:47.140 unfree people
00:34:47.860 we do have to
00:34:48.880 check in on
00:34:49.420 North Korea
00:34:50.020 because we don't
00:34:51.040 know if they
00:34:51.360 have a dictator
00:34:51.840 still or not
00:34:52.620 President Trump
00:34:54.060 seems to know
00:34:54.980 something more
00:34:55.540 about that
00:34:55.960 than he's letting
00:34:56.540 on
00:34:56.940 but we have
00:34:57.900 Schrodinger's
00:34:58.600 dictator over there
00:34:59.540 you know
00:34:59.920 he might be
00:35:01.000 dead and alive
00:35:02.200 at the same time
00:35:03.060 he's in this
00:35:03.860 sort of
00:35:04.160 suspended state
00:35:05.200 President Trump
00:35:06.420 has asked on it
00:35:07.220 and he refuses
00:35:08.600 to answer
00:35:09.240 have you gotten
00:35:10.420 any update
00:35:11.120 on Kim Jong-un's
00:35:12.060 health as he
00:35:12.720 responded to your
00:35:13.460 letter from March
00:35:14.420 on Kim Jong-un
00:35:15.820 I can't tell you
00:35:18.420 exactly
00:35:20.060 yes I do have
00:35:20.960 a very good idea
00:35:22.320 but I can't talk
00:35:23.340 about it now
00:35:23.900 I just wish him
00:35:25.380 well
00:35:25.660 I've had a very
00:35:26.600 good relationship
00:35:27.480 with Kim Jong-un
00:35:28.440 if I weren't
00:35:28.960 president you'd be
00:35:29.740 in war
00:35:30.060 you would have
00:35:30.440 been in war
00:35:30.940 with Korea
00:35:31.520 you would have
00:35:33.040 been in war
00:35:33.520 with North Korea
00:35:34.200 if I wasn't
00:35:34.760 president
00:35:35.140 that I can tell
00:35:35.940 you
00:35:36.120 he expected
00:35:36.980 that
00:35:37.320 that I can
00:35:37.920 tell you
00:35:38.280 I
00:35:39.380 I hope
00:35:41.220 he's
00:35:41.600 fine
00:35:42.660 I do know
00:35:43.500 how he's
00:35:44.100 doing
00:35:44.480 relatively
00:35:45.500 speaking
00:35:46.060 we will
00:35:47.540 see
00:35:48.320 you'll probably
00:35:48.900 be hearing
00:35:49.380 in the not
00:35:49.820 too distant
00:35:50.260 future
00:35:50.720 I think
00:35:51.500 you have
00:35:52.380 a good
00:35:52.720 relationship
00:35:53.420 with
00:35:53.820 North Korean
00:35:56.280 leader
00:35:56.640 Kim Jong-un
00:35:57.620 but last
00:35:58.660 Saturday
00:35:59.360 Senator Graham
00:36:00.640 he mentioned
00:36:02.140 Fox News
00:36:04.360 he interviewed
00:36:05.200 he said
00:36:06.360 he didn't say
00:36:07.280 anything last
00:36:07.960 Saturday
00:36:08.400 nobody
00:36:10.020 nobody knows
00:36:11.080 where he is
00:36:11.580 so he obviously
00:36:12.260 couldn't have
00:36:12.740 said it
00:36:13.120 if you have
00:36:13.680 this is breaking
00:36:14.720 news
00:36:15.180 that Kim Jong-un
00:36:16.780 made a statement
00:36:17.400 on Saturday
00:36:18.060 I don't think
00:36:18.680 so
00:36:18.940 okay
00:36:19.820 there is
00:36:20.380 the
00:36:20.680 there is
00:36:21.660 Trump's
00:36:22.000 admission
00:36:22.340 that Kim Jong-un
00:36:23.740 is not doing
00:36:25.120 particularly well
00:36:26.020 as the reporter
00:36:26.640 says
00:36:26.820 he made this
00:36:27.500 statement
00:36:27.720 on Saturday
00:36:28.220 because the
00:36:28.600 North Korean
00:36:28.980 government
00:36:29.300 put out a
00:36:29.800 statement
00:36:30.000 with his
00:36:30.320 name on it
00:36:30.860 and Trump
00:36:31.920 says
00:36:32.100 he made
00:36:32.480 a statement
00:36:32.920 yeah
00:36:33.380 I don't
00:36:34.040 think
00:36:34.240 he made
00:36:34.480 a statement
00:36:34.900 from what
00:36:36.240 I know
00:36:36.620 about Kim
00:36:37.100 Jong-un's
00:36:37.520 condition
00:36:37.880 something
00:36:38.180 tells me
00:36:38.720 he is not
00:36:39.460 making
00:36:39.920 statements
00:36:40.540 at the
00:36:40.820 moment
00:36:41.060 so it
00:36:41.560 would
00:36:41.680 seem
00:36:41.900 likely
00:36:42.320 that he
00:36:43.020 is in
00:36:43.520 either
00:36:44.180 a vegetative
00:36:44.800 state
00:36:45.120 or some
00:36:45.840 kind
00:36:46.000 of a
00:36:46.180 coma
00:36:46.360 or
00:36:46.960 he's
00:36:47.760 brain
00:36:47.980 dead
00:36:48.160 I don't
00:36:48.360 know
00:36:48.440 you've
00:36:48.600 seen
00:36:48.720 all of
00:36:48.980 the
00:36:49.060 reports
00:36:49.440 that
00:36:49.620 are
00:36:49.760 all
00:36:50.240 just
00:36:50.440 rumors
00:36:50.760 but
00:36:51.200 based
00:36:51.680 on what
00:36:51.940 we're
00:36:52.040 seeing
00:36:52.200 from
00:36:52.420 President
00:36:52.800 Trump's
00:36:53.100 reaction
00:36:53.560 one
00:36:54.420 would
00:36:54.620 suspect
00:36:54.960 that
00:36:55.840 perhaps
00:36:56.520 he's
00:36:56.720 not
00:36:56.880 dead
00:36:57.200 yet
00:36:57.480 but
00:36:57.680 he's
00:36:57.860 in
00:36:58.300 a
00:36:58.520 pretty
00:36:58.860 bad
00:36:59.380 way
00:36:59.800 not
00:37:00.360 great
00:37:00.560 timing
00:37:00.880 of
00:37:01.080 course
00:37:01.300 amid
00:37:01.500 a
00:37:01.620 global
00:37:01.920 pandemic
00:37:02.480 heightened
00:37:02.900 tensions
00:37:03.520 possibility
00:37:04.300 of wars
00:37:04.740 increased
00:37:05.300 particularly
00:37:05.940 with
00:37:06.320 China
00:37:06.680 and then
00:37:07.200 you have
00:37:07.360 the
00:37:07.480 Chinese
00:37:07.760 client
00:37:08.100 state
00:37:08.340 North
00:37:08.560 Korea
00:37:08.920 loses
00:37:09.580 their
00:37:09.920 dictator
00:37:10.360 so
00:37:11.200 sort
00:37:12.480 of a
00:37:12.660 tight
00:37:12.800 situation
00:37:13.320 but
00:37:13.560 again
00:37:13.840 their
00:37:14.200 perspective
00:37:15.320 nuance
00:37:15.960 totally
00:37:16.620 gone
00:37:17.000 then
00:37:18.560 President
00:37:19.020 Trump
00:37:19.560 is
00:37:21.560 asked
00:37:21.780 this
00:37:21.960 question
00:37:22.440 about
00:37:22.960 the
00:37:24.060 economy
00:37:24.500 versus
00:37:24.900 people's
00:37:25.460 lives
00:37:25.780 and
00:37:25.960 Trump
00:37:26.120 makes
00:37:26.340 an
00:37:26.440 important
00:37:26.680 point
00:37:26.960 here
00:37:27.100 he
00:37:27.220 says
00:37:27.400 these
00:37:27.820 are
00:37:27.920 not
00:37:28.100 totally
00:37:28.480 separate
00:37:29.060 questions
00:37:30.120 when
00:37:30.420 people
00:37:30.700 lose
00:37:31.040 their
00:37:31.260 freedoms
00:37:31.740 that
00:37:32.960 can
00:37:33.900 lead
00:37:34.100 to
00:37:34.280 death
00:37:34.680 as
00:37:34.980 well
00:37:35.280 it
00:37:37.360 would
00:37:37.500 depend
00:37:37.800 on
00:37:38.000 the
00:37:38.120 state
00:37:38.400 it
00:37:39.060 would
00:37:39.200 depend
00:37:39.480 on
00:37:39.640 the
00:37:39.760 circumstances
00:37:40.420 of
00:37:40.720 the
00:37:40.860 state
00:37:41.180 some
00:37:41.680 states
00:37:42.060 are
00:37:42.320 you
00:37:43.040 know
00:37:43.220 perhaps
00:37:43.760 a
00:37:43.940 little
00:37:44.060 early
00:37:44.360 and
00:37:44.540 some
00:37:44.760 states
00:37:45.080 are
00:37:45.200 a
00:37:45.300 little
00:37:45.400 bit
00:37:45.560 late
00:37:45.840 and
00:37:46.620 the
00:37:46.800 attorney
00:37:47.100 general
00:37:47.380 I
00:37:47.540 read
00:37:47.740 that
00:37:48.060 and
00:37:48.320 I
00:37:48.480 saw
00:37:48.700 that
00:37:49.040 and
00:37:49.340 frankly
00:37:49.720 the
00:37:49.960 attorney
00:37:50.200 general
00:37:50.560 doesn't
00:37:50.880 want
00:37:51.040 to
00:37:51.100 have
00:37:51.240 rights
00:37:51.480 taken
00:37:51.760 away
00:37:52.020 because
00:37:52.240 you
00:37:52.780 know
00:37:52.860 there
00:37:53.020 are
00:37:53.120 some
00:37:53.320 people
00:37:53.600 they're
00:37:53.800 not
00:37:53.940 allowed
00:37:54.140 to
00:37:54.320 open
00:37:54.620 up
00:37:54.880 a
00:37:55.160 store
00:37:55.580 or
00:37:55.840 you're
00:37:56.140 going
00:37:56.200 to
00:37:56.260 lose
00:37:56.480 their
00:37:56.680 livelihood
00:37:57.120 and
00:37:58.100 by
00:37:58.260 the
00:37:58.360 way
00:37:58.520 that
00:37:58.760 causes
00:37:59.140 death
00:37:59.560 also
00:38:00.040 between
00:38:00.980 all
00:38:01.380 of
00:38:01.520 the
00:38:01.640 things
00:38:01.940 that
00:38:02.100 happen
00:38:02.440 and
00:38:02.620 this
00:38:02.800 has
00:38:02.940 been
00:38:03.100 a
00:38:03.260 big
00:38:03.440 study
00:38:03.860 you
00:38:05.320 know
00:38:05.440 the
00:38:05.600 fact
00:38:05.840 that
00:38:06.060 people
00:38:06.420 aren't
00:38:06.780 allowed
00:38:07.120 to
00:38:07.380 have
00:38:07.640 their
00:38:07.860 freedom
00:38:08.260 causes
00:38:09.200 a
00:38:10.360 tremendous
00:38:10.800 amount
00:38:11.240 of
00:38:11.500 problems
00:38:11.980 including
00:38:12.520 death
00:38:12.940 that's
00:38:13.720 true
00:38:14.000 he
00:38:14.360 makes
00:38:14.700 a
00:38:14.820 good
00:38:14.960 point
00:38:15.220 this
00:38:15.380 is
00:38:15.500 a
00:38:15.580 point
00:38:15.720 other
00:38:15.900 conservatives
00:38:16.400 have
00:38:16.620 made
00:38:16.880 is
00:38:17.280 when
00:38:17.940 you
00:38:18.180 have
00:38:18.320 this
00:38:18.500 false
00:38:18.760 dichotomy
00:38:19.280 between
00:38:19.580 opening
00:38:19.940 up
00:38:20.100 the
00:38:20.220 economy
00:38:20.620 or
00:38:20.940 saving
00:38:21.340 lives
00:38:21.900 you
00:38:22.220 know
00:38:22.420 some
00:38:22.720 people
00:38:22.900 are
00:38:23.020 saying
00:38:23.160 I'm
00:38:23.560 not
00:38:23.700 going
00:38:23.800 to
00:38:23.920 sacrifice
00:38:24.300 lives
00:38:24.740 on
00:38:24.880 the
00:38:24.980 altar
00:38:25.200 of
00:38:25.340 the
00:38:25.440 Dow
00:38:25.640 Jones
00:38:26.080 this
00:38:28.080 is
00:38:28.240 a
00:38:28.440 false
00:38:28.900 dichotomy
00:38:29.340 the
00:38:29.500 economy
00:38:29.820 is
00:38:30.240 people
00:38:30.600 right
00:38:30.960 the
00:38:31.120 economy
00:38:31.340 is
00:38:31.440 not
00:38:31.580 only
00:38:32.020 this
00:38:32.300 abstract
00:38:32.900 notion
00:38:33.400 it's
00:38:33.780 actually
00:38:33.980 people
00:38:34.300 and how
00:38:34.540 we
00:38:34.660 go to
00:38:34.860 work
00:38:35.080 and how
00:38:35.300 we
00:38:35.440 live
00:38:35.780 and
00:38:37.060 when
00:38:37.260 you
00:38:37.380 completely
00:38:37.740 shut
00:38:38.000 that
00:38:38.140 down
00:38:38.420 you
00:38:38.860 see
00:38:39.000 spikes
00:38:39.320 in
00:38:39.460 things
00:38:39.640 like
00:38:39.800 drug
00:38:40.020 overdoses
00:38:40.460 and
00:38:40.700 suicides
00:38:41.300 and so
00:38:42.520 that
00:38:42.700 leads
00:38:42.900 to
00:38:43.060 death
00:38:43.280 as
00:38:43.460 well
00:38:43.680 a
00:38:44.420 good
00:38:44.680 point
00:38:44.960 to
00:38:45.100 make
00:38:45.340 it's
00:38:46.320 an
00:38:46.400 easy
00:38:46.560 way
00:38:46.700 to
00:38:46.800 knock
00:38:47.020 down
00:38:47.200 their
00:38:47.340 false
00:38:47.540 dichotomy
00:38:48.060 but
00:38:48.400 it's
00:38:49.560 not
00:38:49.740 really
00:38:50.080 the
00:38:50.280 argument
00:38:50.700 okay
00:38:51.660 even
00:38:54.020 if
00:38:54.620 freedom
00:38:55.660 even
00:38:56.220 if
00:38:56.420 true
00:38:56.860 liberty
00:38:57.360 meant
00:38:58.620 that
00:38:58.840 there's
00:38:59.080 a
00:38:59.240 slightly
00:38:59.540 higher
00:38:59.980 death
00:39:00.320 rate
00:39:00.700 in
00:39:02.980 normal
00:39:03.280 times
00:39:03.700 generally
00:39:04.060 speaking
00:39:04.580 it
00:39:06.080 would
00:39:06.260 still
00:39:06.540 be
00:39:06.700 a
00:39:06.880 good
00:39:07.080 thing
00:39:07.480 in
00:39:07.900 fact
00:39:08.020 we
00:39:08.140 know
00:39:08.280 that
00:39:08.400 there
00:39:08.540 is
00:39:08.700 a
00:39:08.800 good
00:39:08.900 example
00:39:09.200 of
00:39:09.340 this
00:39:09.500 is
00:39:09.720 driving
00:39:10.880 around
00:39:11.240 we
00:39:12.000 have
00:39:12.320 various
00:39:12.800 speed
00:39:13.020 limits
00:39:13.240 in
00:39:13.360 the
00:39:13.440 United
00:39:13.640 States
00:39:14.060 and
00:39:14.760 we
00:39:14.900 have
00:39:15.160 38,000
00:39:16.580 driver
00:39:17.100 deaths
00:39:17.380 per
00:39:17.600 year
00:39:17.820 if
00:39:17.960 we
00:39:18.040 lower
00:39:18.380 the
00:39:18.560 speed
00:39:18.740 limit
00:39:18.960 to
00:39:19.120 20
00:39:19.340 miles
00:39:19.580 an
00:39:19.720 hour
00:39:19.900 we
00:39:20.280 have
00:39:20.360 zero
00:39:20.680 driver
00:39:21.420 deaths
00:39:21.780 per
00:39:22.080 year
00:39:22.280 or
00:39:22.460 virtually
00:39:22.840 zero
00:39:23.260 and
00:39:24.100 yet
00:39:24.240 we
00:39:24.400 don't
00:39:24.740 reduce
00:39:25.100 that
00:39:25.400 down
00:39:25.680 to
00:39:25.780 20
00:39:25.980 miles
00:39:26.220 an
00:39:26.380 hour
00:39:26.500 because
00:39:26.740 we're
00:39:27.000 tolerating
00:39:27.600 certain
00:39:27.960 risk
00:39:28.400 because
00:39:28.700 we
00:39:28.860 want
00:39:29.040 to
00:39:29.140 exercise
00:39:29.540 our
00:39:29.900 freedom
00:39:30.180 responsibly
00:39:31.000 we're
00:39:31.180 not
00:39:31.300 saying
00:39:31.460 that
00:39:31.800 the
00:39:31.940 speed
00:39:32.120 limit
00:39:32.280 is
00:39:32.420 400
00:39:32.760 miles
00:39:33.140 an
00:39:33.280 hour
00:39:33.420 that
00:39:33.600 would
00:39:33.720 be
00:39:33.840 irresponsible
00:39:34.360 too
00:39:34.740 but
00:39:35.220 we
00:39:35.440 are
00:39:35.680 saying
00:39:36.140 that
00:39:36.320 we
00:39:36.460 are
00:39:36.580 going
00:39:36.700 to
00:39:36.800 have
00:39:36.900 a
00:39:37.060 responsible
00:39:37.680 exercise
00:39:38.100 of
00:39:38.260 our
00:39:38.360 liberty
00:39:38.640 that's
00:39:39.120 going
00:39:39.300 to
00:39:39.460 entail
00:39:39.660 certain
00:39:39.940 risk
00:39:40.300 but
00:39:40.600 the
00:39:40.760 liberty
00:39:41.000 is
00:39:41.200 worth
00:39:41.440 the
00:39:41.600 risk
00:39:41.880 right
00:39:42.180 Americans
00:39:44.640 are
00:39:44.860 losing
00:39:45.160 that
00:39:45.460 idea
00:39:45.780 of
00:39:45.900 the
00:39:45.980 argument
00:39:46.320 we're
00:39:46.700 only
00:39:47.060 arguing
00:39:47.560 from
00:39:47.800 this
00:39:47.960 very
00:39:48.420 utilitarian
00:39:49.260 narrow
00:39:49.640 perspective
00:39:50.120 of
00:39:50.400 how
00:39:50.620 many
00:39:50.820 deaths
00:39:51.180 if
00:39:51.460 one
00:39:52.420 extra
00:39:52.720 person
00:39:53.080 dies
00:39:53.520 then
00:39:53.860 that's
00:39:55.340 unacceptable
00:39:56.680 and
00:39:57.280 you know
00:39:57.560 if we
00:39:57.760 save
00:39:58.020 even
00:39:58.220 one
00:39:58.440 life
00:39:58.660 to
00:39:58.780 quote
00:39:58.960 Andy
00:39:59.180 Cuomo
00:39:59.480 then
00:40:00.380 everything
00:40:00.940 will
00:40:01.240 have
00:40:01.380 been
00:40:01.520 worth
00:40:01.820 it
00:40:01.940 even
00:40:02.080 though
00:40:02.220 that
00:40:02.340 ends
00:40:02.480 up
00:40:02.620 costing
00:40:02.920 lives
00:40:03.280 Nancy
00:40:04.060 Pelosi
00:40:04.480 is
00:40:04.880 now
00:40:05.200 taking
00:40:05.620 this
00:40:05.940 power
00:40:06.780 grab
00:40:09.660 universal
00:40:10.060 basic
00:40:10.420 income
00:40:10.760 and
00:40:10.960 unfortunately
00:40:11.620 the
00:40:12.200 Republicans
00:40:12.600 kind of
00:40:12.960 let her
00:40:13.160 get away
00:40:13.460 with it
00:40:13.720 because
00:40:14.100 the
00:40:14.780 Republicans
00:40:15.120 were behind
00:40:15.600 this idea
00:40:15.980 that everyone
00:40:16.340 should get
00:40:16.640 a stimulus
00:40:17.080 check
00:40:17.420 straight from
00:40:17.820 the federal
00:40:18.140 government
00:40:18.460 now Nancy
00:40:18.940 Pelosi
00:40:19.240 is saying
00:40:19.480 wait a second
00:40:20.000 people can't
00:40:20.720 live on
00:40:20.960 1200 bucks
00:40:21.700 we should
00:40:22.300 continue
00:40:22.760 to give
00:40:23.180 them
00:40:23.440 these
00:40:24.180 stimulus
00:40:24.620 checks
00:40:25.040 this
00:40:25.260 universal
00:40:25.680 basic
00:40:26.060 income
00:40:26.420 into the
00:40:27.300 foreseeable
00:40:27.680 future
00:40:28.020 well I
00:40:28.720 think we
00:40:29.060 should
00:40:29.240 extend
00:40:29.580 the
00:40:29.780 time
00:40:30.120 I
00:40:30.460 really
00:40:30.820 do
00:40:31.040 I
00:40:31.160 always
00:40:31.360 thought
00:40:31.540 that
00:40:31.720 was
00:40:31.900 too
00:40:32.080 short
00:40:32.340 a
00:40:32.480 time
00:40:32.760 I
00:40:33.240 think
00:40:33.400 we
00:40:33.560 should
00:40:33.820 extend
00:40:34.220 the
00:40:34.380 time
00:40:34.580 I
00:40:34.740 think
00:40:34.960 what
00:40:35.400 you
00:40:35.620 suggest
00:40:36.500 makes
00:40:36.820 all the
00:40:37.140 sense
00:40:37.420 in the
00:40:38.240 world
00:40:38.640 and then
00:40:39.380 again
00:40:39.760 as we
00:40:40.220 go
00:40:40.400 forward
00:40:40.680 let's
00:40:40.980 see
00:40:41.200 what
00:40:41.780 works
00:40:42.300 what
00:40:43.440 is
00:40:43.720 what
00:40:44.940 is
00:40:45.120 operational
00:40:45.760 and
00:40:46.100 what
00:40:46.300 needs
00:40:46.600 other
00:40:47.220 attention
00:40:47.880 others
00:40:48.420 have
00:40:48.640 suggested
00:40:49.180 a
00:40:49.380 minimum
00:40:49.640 income
00:40:50.520 for
00:40:51.060 a
00:40:51.780 guaranteed
00:40:52.160 income
00:40:52.640 for
00:40:52.900 people
00:40:53.280 is that
00:40:53.980 worthy
00:40:54.340 of
00:40:54.980 attention
00:40:55.440 now
00:40:55.740 perhaps
00:40:56.220 so
00:40:56.660 because
00:40:57.280 there
00:40:57.460 are
00:40:57.500 many
00:40:57.680 more
00:40:57.980 people
00:40:58.340 than
00:40:58.580 just
00:40:58.880 in
00:40:59.380 small
00:40:59.660 business
00:41:00.080 and
00:41:00.280 hired
00:41:00.520 by
00:41:00.720 small
00:41:00.940 business
00:41:01.300 as
00:41:01.760 important
00:41:02.140 as
00:41:02.340 that is
00:41:02.620 to
00:41:02.760 the
00:41:02.880 vitality
00:41:03.460 of
00:41:03.580 our
00:41:03.700 economy
00:41:04.100 and
00:41:04.580 other
00:41:04.800 people
00:41:05.180 who
00:41:05.400 are
00:41:05.500 not
00:41:05.720 in
00:41:05.900 the
00:41:06.020 public
00:41:06.280 sector
00:41:06.820 meeting
00:41:09.180 our
00:41:09.460 needs
00:41:09.780 in
00:41:09.940 so
00:41:10.160 many
00:41:10.420 ways
00:41:10.920 that
00:41:11.680 may
00:41:11.860 need
00:41:12.120 some
00:41:12.340 assistance
00:41:12.920 as
00:41:13.540 well
00:41:13.860 so
00:41:14.340 there
00:41:14.740 it
00:41:14.900 is
00:41:15.140 Nancy
00:41:15.420 Pelosi
00:41:15.740 speaking
00:41:16.100 broadly
00:41:16.540 about
00:41:16.900 more
00:41:17.180 money
00:41:17.460 to
00:41:17.860 small
00:41:18.440 businesses
00:41:18.840 which
00:41:19.780 she
00:41:20.060 actually
00:41:20.260 was
00:41:20.420 holding
00:41:20.620 up
00:41:20.840 herself
00:41:21.240 and
00:41:21.800 then
00:41:21.940 more
00:41:22.120 money
00:41:22.380 to
00:41:22.600 the
00:41:22.720 people
00:41:23.040 and
00:41:23.780 this
00:41:25.000 idea
00:41:25.380 of
00:41:25.940 extending
00:41:26.500 stimulus
00:41:27.260 to
00:41:28.220 everybody
00:41:28.860 over
00:41:29.080 longer
00:41:29.360 periods
00:41:29.660 of
00:41:29.780 time
00:41:29.920 the
00:41:30.060 UBI
00:41:30.440 has
00:41:31.620 been
00:41:31.820 entertained
00:41:32.380 by
00:41:33.020 both
00:41:33.400 sides
00:41:33.680 of
00:41:33.780 the
00:41:33.880 political
00:41:34.140 aisle
00:41:34.440 it's
00:41:34.620 been
00:41:34.740 entertained
00:41:35.040 by
00:41:35.240 progressives
00:41:35.800 like
00:41:36.000 Pelosi
00:41:36.340 and
00:41:36.960 by
00:41:37.100 people
00:41:37.300 on
00:41:37.440 the
00:41:37.520 right
00:41:37.700 like
00:41:37.940 Charles
00:41:38.280 Murray
00:41:38.580 and
00:41:38.940 even
00:41:39.080 the
00:41:39.240 libertarian
00:41:39.740 Cato
00:41:40.040 Institute
00:41:40.480 has
00:41:41.240 written
00:41:41.520 in
00:41:41.840 defense
00:41:42.220 of
00:41:42.480 something
00:41:42.780 like
00:41:43.120 the
00:41:43.420 UBI
00:41:43.980 universal
00:41:44.940 basic
00:41:45.360 income
00:41:45.720 this
00:41:46.780 shows
00:41:47.080 us
00:41:47.240 something
00:41:47.540 about
00:41:47.980 how
00:41:48.260 we
00:41:48.440 understand
00:41:48.840 liberty
00:41:49.140 it
00:41:49.320 shows
00:41:49.560 us
00:41:49.820 that
00:41:50.160 hyper
00:41:51.160 individualists
00:41:52.060 on
00:41:52.320 the
00:41:52.480 right
00:41:52.800 and
00:41:54.020 statists
00:41:55.140 on
00:41:55.400 the
00:41:55.520 left
00:41:55.840 have
00:41:56.540 more
00:41:56.880 in
00:41:57.100 common
00:41:57.440 than
00:41:57.900 we
00:41:58.060 might
00:41:58.340 think
00:41:58.700 that
00:41:59.580 somehow
00:41:59.980 libertarians
00:42:00.900 and
00:42:01.500 progressives
00:42:02.280 maybe
00:42:03.040 they have
00:42:03.360 something
00:42:03.620 in
00:42:03.840 common
00:42:04.100 classical
00:42:04.620 liberals
00:42:05.040 and
00:42:05.260 leftist
00:42:05.600 liberals
00:42:05.940 maybe
00:42:06.440 they're
00:42:06.600 not
00:42:06.740 opposites
00:42:07.160 maybe
00:42:07.360 they
00:42:07.540 actually
00:42:07.880 have
00:42:08.360 something
00:42:08.740 in
00:42:09.060 common
00:42:09.380 everybody
00:42:10.960 thinks
00:42:11.740 he's
00:42:12.240 for
00:42:12.420 liberty
00:42:12.760 every
00:42:13.580 person
00:42:13.960 around
00:42:14.280 thinks
00:42:14.660 he's
00:42:14.940 for
00:42:15.140 liberty
00:42:15.500 the
00:42:15.940 wackos
00:42:16.340 in
00:42:16.460 the
00:42:16.560 French
00:42:16.740 revolution
00:42:17.200 and
00:42:17.740 the
00:42:17.880 good
00:42:18.000 people
00:42:18.240 in
00:42:18.380 the
00:42:18.480 American
00:42:18.700 revolution
00:42:19.100 both
00:42:19.420 thought
00:42:19.980 they
00:42:20.100 were
00:42:20.220 fighting
00:42:20.460 for
00:42:20.640 liberty
00:42:20.900 obviously
00:42:21.200 very
00:42:21.440 different
00:42:21.720 conceptions
00:42:22.220 of
00:42:22.360 liberty
00:42:22.600 the
00:42:22.980 question
00:42:23.340 is
00:42:23.660 what
00:42:24.160 is
00:42:24.460 liberty
00:42:24.840 right
00:42:25.900 now
00:42:26.080 in
00:42:26.160 the
00:42:26.240 United
00:42:26.440 States
00:42:26.760 the
00:42:27.180 focus
00:42:27.580 is
00:42:28.020 on
00:42:28.260 economic
00:42:28.840 liberty
00:42:29.260 leave
00:42:30.380 me
00:42:30.540 alone
00:42:31.000 to
00:42:31.520 keep
00:42:31.960 more
00:42:32.200 of my
00:42:32.420 money
00:42:32.700 leave
00:42:33.180 me
00:42:33.300 alone
00:42:33.740 to
00:42:34.440 buy
00:42:34.860 the
00:42:35.060 things
00:42:35.300 that
00:42:35.420 I
00:42:35.520 want
00:42:35.660 to
00:42:35.740 buy
00:42:36.000 without
00:42:36.260 interference
00:42:36.800 and
00:42:37.820 I'll
00:42:38.280 be
00:42:38.460 free
00:42:38.820 on
00:42:39.740 the
00:42:39.880 left
00:42:40.120 the
00:42:40.300 focus
00:42:40.620 is
00:42:40.920 on
00:42:41.100 social
00:42:41.460 liberty
00:42:41.780 leave
00:42:42.340 me
00:42:42.500 alone
00:42:42.840 to
00:42:43.040 sleep
00:42:43.300 with
00:42:43.460 the
00:42:43.560 people
00:42:43.760 I
00:42:43.880 want
00:42:44.020 to
00:42:44.120 sleep
00:42:44.340 with
00:42:44.500 leave
00:42:44.680 me
00:42:44.780 alone
00:42:45.120 to
00:42:45.440 change
00:42:46.680 my
00:42:46.860 body
00:42:47.120 leave
00:42:48.620 me
00:42:48.740 alone
00:42:49.200 to
00:42:49.800 define
00:42:50.280 reality
00:42:50.760 in the
00:42:50.980 way
00:42:51.080 that
00:42:51.180 I
00:42:51.280 want
00:42:51.440 to
00:42:51.520 define
00:42:51.760 reality
00:42:52.240 as
00:42:52.660 Justice
00:42:53.220 Kennedy
00:42:53.520 talked
00:42:53.840 about
00:42:54.120 in the
00:42:54.620 Planned
00:42:54.800 Parenthood
00:42:55.100 v.
00:42:55.340 Casey
00:42:55.500 decision
00:42:55.980 leave
00:42:56.520 me
00:42:56.620 alone
00:42:56.880 to
00:42:57.040 define
00:42:57.380 my
00:42:57.580 own
00:42:57.740 gender
00:42:58.000 and
00:42:58.180 use
00:42:58.340 the
00:42:58.480 bathrooms
00:42:58.820 that
00:42:59.000 I
00:42:59.080 want
00:42:59.200 to
00:42:59.280 use
00:42:59.520 both
00:43:00.860 define
00:43:01.620 liberty
00:43:02.100 in a
00:43:04.000 very
00:43:04.220 similar
00:43:04.660 way
00:43:05.020 actually
00:43:05.720 they
00:43:06.580 both
00:43:06.860 define
00:43:07.260 liberty
00:43:07.680 as
00:43:08.200 doing
00:43:08.980 whatever
00:43:09.460 you
00:43:10.160 want
00:43:10.520 to
00:43:10.720 do
00:43:11.020 following
00:43:11.900 your
00:43:12.320 own
00:43:12.560 desires
00:43:13.120 following
00:43:13.760 your
00:43:14.160 own
00:43:14.400 passions
00:43:14.920 obviously
00:43:15.760 that
00:43:16.160 represents
00:43:17.000 a little
00:43:17.520 differently
00:43:17.880 on the
00:43:18.160 right
00:43:18.340 it's
00:43:18.480 more
00:43:18.640 economic
00:43:19.020 on the
00:43:19.300 left
00:43:19.440 it's
00:43:19.580 more
00:43:19.720 social
00:43:20.040 but
00:43:20.440 it's
00:43:20.580 the
00:43:20.700 same
00:43:20.900 basic
00:43:21.360 definition
00:43:22.040 of
00:43:22.220 liberty
00:43:22.500 they
00:43:24.120 might
00:43:24.440 disagree
00:43:24.820 about
00:43:25.060 the
00:43:25.200 details
00:43:25.580 but
00:43:25.780 they
00:43:25.920 both
00:43:26.200 agree
00:43:26.500 on
00:43:26.720 the
00:43:26.860 primacy
00:43:27.480 of
00:43:27.680 individual
00:43:28.400 desire
00:43:29.460 okay
00:43:30.640 and
00:43:30.840 the
00:43:31.000 trouble
00:43:31.340 with
00:43:31.580 that
00:43:31.760 is
00:43:32.020 as
00:43:32.580 individual
00:43:33.260 desire
00:43:33.980 grows
00:43:34.600 and
00:43:35.020 gets
00:43:35.240 unleashed
00:43:35.980 and
00:43:36.720 as
00:43:37.100 the
00:43:37.400 restraints
00:43:37.980 on
00:43:38.120 individual
00:43:38.460 desire
00:43:38.860 break
00:43:39.260 down
00:43:39.640 the
00:43:40.200 state
00:43:40.580 grows
00:43:41.020 too
00:43:41.360 this
00:43:41.940 always
00:43:42.540 happens
00:43:43.060 and
00:43:43.720 we
00:43:43.940 never
00:43:44.180 think
00:43:46.160 so
00:43:47.420 as
00:43:47.660 the
00:43:47.820 focus
00:43:48.120 on
00:43:48.280 the
00:43:48.380 individual
00:43:48.700 grows
00:43:49.040 the
00:43:49.220 focus
00:43:49.480 on
00:43:49.660 the
00:43:49.760 family
00:43:50.120 the
00:43:50.300 focus
00:43:50.540 on
00:43:50.700 the
00:43:50.800 local
00:43:51.000 community
00:43:51.480 the
00:43:51.920 focus
00:43:52.340 on
00:43:52.800 local
00:43:53.400 bonds
00:43:53.860 of
00:43:54.060 loyalty
00:43:54.500 and
00:43:54.820 unchosen
00:43:55.540 obligations
00:43:56.200 you know
00:43:56.760 we always
00:43:57.040 talk about
00:43:57.340 consent
00:43:57.840 we'll talk about
00:43:58.640 consent in a moment
00:43:59.280 when we get to
00:43:59.660 Joe Biden
00:44:00.100 right
00:44:00.980 the things that we
00:44:01.960 don't choose
00:44:02.620 freely
00:44:02.940 that we're
00:44:03.200 just kind of
00:44:03.540 born into
00:44:04.060 and obligations
00:44:04.600 we have
00:44:04.920 and duties
00:44:05.280 that we
00:44:05.580 have
00:44:05.820 and inherited
00:44:06.600 conventions
00:44:07.060 that we
00:44:07.400 have
00:44:07.580 and traditions
00:44:08.120 that we
00:44:08.460 have
00:44:08.600 those things
00:44:09.320 go away
00:44:09.860 when you
00:44:10.200 just focus
00:44:10.980 on the
00:44:11.840 individual
00:44:12.280 and following
00:44:12.940 individual
00:44:13.620 desires
00:44:14.140 whether it's
00:44:14.540 on the
00:44:14.740 right
00:44:14.920 or on
00:44:15.320 the
00:44:15.420 left
00:44:15.680 whether
00:44:16.300 we're
00:44:16.500 talking
00:44:16.680 about
00:44:16.840 globalized
00:44:17.380 free trade
00:44:17.960 or we're
00:44:18.380 talking about
00:44:18.780 gender neutral
00:44:19.300 bathrooms
00:44:19.780 or we're
00:44:20.360 talking about
00:44:21.020 moving away
00:44:22.620 from your
00:44:22.900 family
00:44:23.200 or whatever
00:44:23.560 things that
00:44:23.960 everybody
00:44:24.500 does in
00:44:25.260 this modern
00:44:25.680 society
00:44:26.140 the problem
00:44:26.960 with that
00:44:27.400 is
00:44:27.700 when you
00:44:28.360 are left
00:44:28.740 with just
00:44:29.180 a bunch
00:44:29.500 of atomized
00:44:30.200 individuals
00:44:30.800 then
00:44:32.360 that group
00:44:33.640 is very
00:44:34.240 vulnerable
00:44:34.700 to the
00:44:35.160 state
00:44:35.420 when you're
00:44:36.600 left with
00:44:36.940 just a bunch
00:44:37.360 of atomized
00:44:37.860 individuals
00:44:38.340 there's
00:44:38.900 nowhere to
00:44:39.460 turn
00:44:39.780 when we're
00:44:40.200 in trouble
00:44:40.640 like a
00:44:41.280 global
00:44:41.540 pandemic
00:44:41.960 but to
00:44:43.180 turn
00:44:43.540 to the
00:44:44.160 state
00:44:44.460 because all
00:44:45.480 those other
00:44:45.840 institutions
00:44:46.400 that we
00:44:46.720 might have
00:44:46.960 turned to
00:44:47.300 before
00:44:47.660 the family
00:44:48.800 most importantly
00:44:49.420 but the
00:44:49.780 Lions Club
00:44:50.380 the local
00:44:51.340 community
00:44:51.860 the parish
00:44:52.680 the right
00:44:53.320 those things
00:44:54.000 have been so
00:44:54.520 weakened
00:44:54.920 that they
00:44:55.420 actually can't
00:44:55.880 take care of
00:44:56.260 the people
00:44:56.600 so you got
00:44:57.120 to turn
00:44:57.340 to the
00:44:57.580 state
00:44:57.780 this is
00:44:58.040 the premise
00:44:58.420 of the
00:44:59.020 Obama
00:44:59.320 campaign's
00:44:59.920 life of
00:45:00.340 Julia
00:45:00.680 this is
00:45:01.340 the premise
00:45:01.800 of a lot
00:45:03.180 of thought
00:45:05.440 experiments
00:45:05.840 in recent years
00:45:06.420 on the right
00:45:07.080 and the left
00:45:07.460 it's the reason
00:45:07.960 why the right
00:45:08.440 sometimes embraces
00:45:09.520 the UBI
00:45:10.100 so societies
00:45:11.420 that start out
00:45:12.240 very individualistic
00:45:13.640 end up
00:45:14.620 very statist
00:45:15.720 isn't that
00:45:16.380 strange
00:45:17.120 you can actually
00:45:18.140 see it
00:45:18.560 if you want to
00:45:19.060 watch this
00:45:19.520 happen in real
00:45:20.000 time
00:45:20.240 you can see it
00:45:21.040 in the writings
00:45:21.520 of Thomas Jefferson
00:45:22.380 and Thomas Paine
00:45:23.160 so all the way
00:45:24.280 back then
00:45:24.740 in the early days
00:45:25.740 the American
00:45:26.120 revolution
00:45:26.600 you see
00:45:27.520 Thomas Jefferson
00:45:28.180 and Thomas Paine
00:45:28.740 they start out
00:45:29.300 writing
00:45:29.600 they're like
00:45:30.240 hyper individualist
00:45:31.340 classical liberal
00:45:32.300 libertarian
00:45:33.080 sort of right wing
00:45:33.840 and then by the end
00:45:34.840 of their lives
00:45:35.880 they're writing
00:45:36.700 in this very statist
00:45:37.960 way
00:45:38.500 very progressive
00:45:39.780 way
00:45:40.180 about how
00:45:40.940 we need
00:45:41.460 the state
00:45:41.880 to come in
00:45:42.440 and provide
00:45:43.540 lots of things
00:45:44.160 for people
00:45:44.600 it's not that
00:45:46.480 they flipped
00:45:46.920 it's not that
00:45:47.360 they're total
00:45:47.780 opposites
00:45:48.240 it's that
00:45:48.820 that's the
00:45:49.180 natural progression
00:45:50.020 of things
00:45:50.480 I bring this up
00:45:52.820 because coronavirus
00:45:54.860 is making this
00:45:55.980 a very stark
00:45:56.820 reality
00:45:57.280 okay people
00:45:57.880 right now
00:45:58.380 are feeling
00:45:58.920 isolated
00:45:59.480 they're feeling
00:46:00.340 socially isolated
00:46:02.100 they're feeling
00:46:02.480 economically
00:46:03.140 helpless
00:46:03.920 we're all just
00:46:04.420 trapped in our
00:46:04.900 apartments right
00:46:05.600 and we know
00:46:07.660 from the social
00:46:08.180 science
00:46:08.460 people have been
00:46:08.940 getting lonelier
00:46:09.800 and lonelier
00:46:10.960 in recent decades
00:46:11.980 now we see
00:46:13.020 just how lonely
00:46:14.060 we are
00:46:14.500 because you know
00:46:15.400 if this had
00:46:16.060 happened 70 years
00:46:17.020 ago
00:46:17.260 we probably
00:46:18.100 wouldn't be
00:46:18.980 trapped in our
00:46:19.480 apartments alone
00:46:20.180 for a lot of
00:46:21.280 people we'd
00:46:21.600 probably be in
00:46:22.240 big houses
00:46:23.040 in big communities
00:46:24.040 with thriving
00:46:25.340 local associations
00:46:26.240 and now we
00:46:28.580 just have less
00:46:29.220 of that
00:46:29.600 you know
00:46:29.900 we're more
00:46:30.380 urban
00:46:30.860 urbanized
00:46:31.880 we move more
00:46:32.480 to the cities
00:46:33.080 we are more
00:46:34.080 ready to live
00:46:34.980 alone
00:46:35.420 or live apart
00:46:37.000 from family
00:46:37.460 and social
00:46:37.860 connections
00:46:38.320 this is why
00:46:40.320 any authentic
00:46:41.500 conservative
00:46:42.420 alternative
00:46:43.220 needs to
00:46:44.920 really offer
00:46:45.720 an alternative
00:46:46.340 here
00:46:46.600 okay
00:46:46.860 conservatives
00:46:47.720 traditionally
00:46:48.360 had a different
00:46:49.260 definition of
00:46:49.940 liberty than we
00:46:50.540 started with
00:46:51.020 that definition
00:46:51.740 of liberty
00:46:52.160 that the right
00:46:52.620 and the left
00:46:52.980 right now
00:46:53.280 both share
00:46:53.740 which is just
00:46:54.220 doing whatever
00:46:54.720 you want to do
00:46:55.340 following your
00:46:56.080 own individual
00:46:56.560 desire
00:46:56.960 that's not
00:46:57.700 the traditional
00:46:58.280 definition of
00:46:58.980 liberty
00:46:59.200 from conservatives
00:46:59.980 the traditional
00:47:01.920 definition of
00:47:02.560 liberty is
00:47:03.240 something that
00:47:03.920 you had to
00:47:04.280 earn
00:47:04.660 right
00:47:06.280 so the
00:47:06.960 the liberal
00:47:07.920 idea
00:47:08.400 the kind of
00:47:09.300 left and right
00:47:10.060 classical liberal
00:47:10.740 and progressive
00:47:11.340 liberal idea
00:47:11.900 is based on this
00:47:13.160 false premise
00:47:13.780 that man is born
00:47:14.560 free in a state
00:47:15.480 of nature
00:47:15.920 and he's a free
00:47:16.760 individual in a
00:47:17.320 state of nature
00:47:17.760 and then he
00:47:18.340 chooses through
00:47:18.900 consent and a
00:47:19.560 social contract
00:47:20.240 to constitute a
00:47:21.200 government
00:47:21.500 trouble with that
00:47:22.220 is that's not
00:47:22.900 actually how any
00:47:23.940 society has ever
00:47:24.720 developed and
00:47:25.400 that's not how
00:47:25.840 people are born
00:47:26.440 we are not born
00:47:27.460 free in a state
00:47:28.060 of nature
00:47:28.440 we are born
00:47:29.320 into families
00:47:30.160 with obligations
00:47:30.860 we're not free
00:47:31.680 floating
00:47:32.040 we're born into
00:47:33.100 places with
00:47:33.800 duties and
00:47:34.600 conventions and
00:47:35.720 associations and
00:47:36.640 bonds of loyalty
00:47:37.300 and we're not
00:47:38.100 free we're slaves
00:47:38.980 to our own
00:47:39.580 passions
00:47:40.060 little babies
00:47:41.020 are not free
00:47:41.620 little toddlers
00:47:42.280 are not free
00:47:42.780 they're monsters
00:47:43.500 who can't do
00:47:44.360 anything to
00:47:45.120 resist their
00:47:45.560 passions
00:47:45.920 they eat all
00:47:46.600 the cookies
00:47:46.980 right and
00:47:47.660 what we have
00:47:48.080 to do
00:47:48.360 through for
00:47:48.840 instance the
00:47:49.460 liberal arts
00:47:50.180 and liberal
00:47:50.520 education is
00:47:51.600 to learn how
00:47:52.480 to make sense
00:47:53.040 of our freedom
00:47:53.600 and to earn
00:47:54.560 our freedom
00:47:55.000 because freedom
00:47:55.500 is a responsibility
00:47:56.560 and we have to
00:47:57.580 learn how to do
00:47:58.280 that to to
00:47:59.680 pursue the good
00:48:00.980 and govern
00:48:01.320 ourselves and
00:48:02.180 that's how you
00:48:02.680 have a free
00:48:03.300 society
00:48:04.240 the less we
00:48:05.080 control ourselves
00:48:05.840 the more order
00:48:06.540 will be imposed
00:48:07.180 on us
00:48:07.680 which means
00:48:08.240 actually in a way
00:48:08.840 Gavin Newsom
00:48:09.480 at the top of our
00:48:10.120 show has a point
00:48:11.240 Gavin Newsom
00:48:12.060 who says
00:48:12.380 look I'll let you
00:48:13.360 go to the beaches
00:48:13.880 but you've got to
00:48:14.540 behave yourselves
00:48:15.140 or else I'm not
00:48:15.780 going to let you
00:48:16.340 do it
00:48:16.580 in a way he's
00:48:17.380 got a point
00:48:17.880 if we cannot
00:48:19.480 discipline ourselves
00:48:20.520 if we can not
00:48:21.780 think of liberty
00:48:22.580 as anything more
00:48:23.940 than just pursuing
00:48:24.680 my own individual
00:48:25.840 appetites and
00:48:26.680 desires
00:48:27.040 then we're not
00:48:28.360 going to be
00:48:28.980 a free people
00:48:29.600 because we
00:48:31.060 won't be able
00:48:31.960 to make sense
00:48:32.500 of our own
00:48:32.900 freedom
00:48:33.180 we've got to
00:48:34.640 start viewing
00:48:35.040 liberty as
00:48:36.000 something that
00:48:37.100 we earn
00:48:37.580 we've got to
00:48:38.440 start thinking
00:48:39.620 about liberty
00:48:40.260 as something
00:48:40.980 bigger than
00:48:41.680 just fulfilling
00:48:42.640 whatever short
00:48:43.420 desire I have
00:48:44.100 and we know
00:48:45.800 that Joe Biden
00:48:46.300 is not going
00:48:46.680 to be able
00:48:46.900 to do that
00:48:47.380 because all
00:48:49.060 Joe Biden
00:48:49.440 never does
00:48:49.920 is fulfill
00:48:50.620 his own
00:48:50.960 desires
00:48:51.340 sometimes a
00:48:52.640 little bit
00:48:52.880 too much
00:48:53.220 apparently
00:48:53.520 before we
00:48:53.980 go I
00:48:54.180 just have
00:48:54.440 to point
00:48:54.740 out
00:48:54.900 you know
00:48:55.120 the Biden
00:48:55.460 story
00:48:55.840 he's got
00:48:56.440 the allegation
00:48:57.080 against him
00:48:57.720 that he
00:48:58.680 sexually
00:48:59.700 assaulted
00:49:00.080 a former
00:49:00.440 staffer
00:49:01.020 and the
00:49:02.540 woman
00:49:02.980 doesn't
00:49:04.360 necessarily
00:49:04.780 seem super
00:49:05.380 credible
00:49:05.700 the story
00:49:06.260 was never
00:49:07.040 talked about
00:49:07.460 for decades
00:49:08.040 when she
00:49:09.340 initially came
00:49:10.040 out with it
00:49:10.500 it was not
00:49:11.060 nearly as
00:49:11.440 egregious
00:49:11.840 as what
00:49:12.200 she's saying
00:49:12.560 right now
00:49:13.020 obviously the
00:49:13.560 timing is
00:49:13.960 convenient
00:49:14.280 because he's
00:49:14.620 running for
00:49:14.980 president
00:49:15.300 there was a
00:49:16.620 little
00:49:16.740 corroboration
00:49:17.420 because her
00:49:19.180 mother
00:49:19.520 coincidentally
00:49:20.080 called into
00:49:20.500 the Larry
00:49:20.880 King show
00:49:21.460 the week
00:49:23.200 or something
00:49:23.680 that she
00:49:24.400 got fired
00:49:24.960 left the
00:49:26.320 Biden office
00:49:26.980 to corroborate
00:49:28.060 this issue
00:49:28.520 that she
00:49:28.780 was having
00:49:29.100 now
00:49:29.840 the accuser
00:49:31.440 Tara Reid
00:49:32.060 her former
00:49:32.540 neighbor
00:49:32.860 Linda Lacasse
00:49:33.840 has confirmed
00:49:35.080 that Reid
00:49:35.620 told her
00:49:36.160 of the
00:49:36.480 assault
00:49:36.800 and she
00:49:37.840 says this
00:49:38.300 happened
00:49:38.660 and I
00:49:38.980 know it
00:49:39.260 did
00:49:39.380 because I
00:49:39.720 remember
00:49:40.100 talking
00:49:40.520 about it
00:49:40.920 that's
00:49:41.120 what she
00:49:41.300 told
00:49:41.500 business
00:49:41.820 insider
00:49:42.260 so now
00:49:42.840 we've
00:49:43.000 got
00:49:43.180 the
00:49:44.200 accusation
00:49:44.780 from a
00:49:45.120 former
00:49:45.340 staffer
00:49:45.800 not just
00:49:46.160 some
00:49:46.380 random
00:49:46.740 person
00:49:47.200 corroboration
00:49:48.540 apparently
00:49:48.880 from the
00:49:49.180 mother
00:49:49.360 corroboration
00:49:49.940 from a
00:49:50.260 friend
00:49:50.460 at the
00:49:50.760 time
00:49:51.040 this
00:49:51.600 makes
00:49:51.880 it a
00:49:52.120 much
00:49:52.320 more
00:49:52.560 serious
00:49:53.160 allegation
00:49:54.320 than
00:49:55.000 before
00:49:55.400 I'm not
00:49:55.920 even saying
00:49:56.340 it's
00:49:56.500 credible
00:49:56.760 yet
00:49:57.020 I don't
00:49:57.500 know
00:49:57.640 I want
00:49:57.880 to give
00:49:58.100 Joe Biden
00:49:58.500 the benefit
00:49:58.820 of the doubt
00:49:59.200 just like
00:49:59.500 everyone
00:49:59.720 deserves
00:50:00.040 due
00:50:00.220 process
00:50:00.600 we know
00:50:01.380 this is
00:50:01.740 a much
00:50:02.140 more
00:50:02.480 serious
00:50:03.540 allegation
00:50:04.600 than anything
00:50:05.260 ever
00:50:06.000 against
00:50:06.620 Brett Kavanaugh
00:50:07.560 we know
00:50:08.680 Tara
00:50:08.920 Reid
00:50:09.140 is
00:50:09.280 much
00:50:09.620 more
00:50:09.840 credible
00:50:10.220 than
00:50:10.560 Christine
00:50:10.920 Blasey
00:50:11.360 Ford
00:50:11.560 or any
00:50:11.820 of
00:50:11.940 those
00:50:12.080 other
00:50:12.260 people
00:50:12.520 were
00:50:12.760 and
00:50:13.640 yet
00:50:13.820 the
00:50:13.960 media
00:50:14.180 won't
00:50:14.440 ask
00:50:14.680 them
00:50:14.800 about
00:50:15.020 it
00:50:15.140 because
00:50:15.260 the
00:50:15.420 media
00:50:15.740 are
00:50:16.180 certainly
00:50:17.320 not
00:50:17.540 pursuing
00:50:17.920 truth
00:50:18.560 they're
00:50:19.300 certainly
00:50:19.540 not
00:50:19.740 pursuing
00:50:20.000 the
00:50:20.160 story
00:50:20.400 they are
00:50:20.940 too
00:50:21.120 busy
00:50:21.360 whipping
00:50:21.660 us
00:50:21.880 up
00:50:22.100 into
00:50:22.540 a
00:50:22.720 frenzy
00:50:23.040 and
00:50:23.160 they're
00:50:23.280 hoping
00:50:23.500 we're
00:50:23.780 going
00:50:23.940 to
00:50:24.040 take
00:50:24.200 the
00:50:24.340 bait
00:50:24.500 let's
00:50:24.880 not
00:50:25.080 take
00:50:25.300 the
00:50:25.420 bait
00:50:25.640 alright
00:50:26.700 that's

00:51:27.560 you know
00:51:28.280 the Matt
00:51:28.500 Walsh
00:51:28.760 show
00:51:29.000 it's not
00:51:29.740 just another
00:51:30.120 show about
00:51:30.680 about
00:51:31.140 politics
00:51:31.560 I think
00:51:31.860 there are
00:51:32.080 enough of
00:51:32.360 those
00:51:32.600 already out
00:51:33.380 there
00:51:33.520 we talk
00:51:33.960 about
00:51:34.300 culture
00:51:34.740 because
00:51:35.160 culture
00:51:35.560 drives
00:51:36.180 politics
00:51:36.740 and it
00:51:37.100 drives
00:51:37.400 everything
00:51:37.740 else
00:51:38.000 so my
00:51:38.760 main
00:51:39.000 focuses
00:51:39.440 are
00:51:39.880 life
00:51:40.740 family
00:51:41.760 faith
00:51:42.500 those are
00:51:43.460 fundamental
00:51:43.940 and that's
00:51:44.720 what this
00:51:45.000 show is
00:51:45.280 about
00:51:45.520 I hope
00:51:45.880 you'll
00:51:46.100 give it
00:51:46.720 a listen
