Summary

Transgender swimmer Leah Thomas became the first female swimmer to win an NCAA Championship in the 500 Freestyle at the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. She competed as a biological male for three seasons on the men's team before transitioning to the women's team in December of 2021. She has since gone on to become the first transgender woman to win a D1 National Championship in any of her sport. ESPN is celebrating Women's History Month by promoting a special about a swimmer who destroyed women in the swimming pool. What does that have to do with women's history month? Where are the women? Where is the outrage? Why is ESPN highlighting the thousands of incredible female athletes that have dominated sports instead of the person who transitioned right before a season after being a lackluster male swimmer and beat all of these young girls who worked so hard to become masters of their sport in a matter of weeks? That's like transition, all of a sudden dominant, winning NCAA Championships, taking away the win more importantly from other women who dedicated their lives to getting there. I don't even care if you want to be trans, but honestly, it doesn't get any more insane than this at this point. It's insane and it's going to keep going until enough of us say, "enough is enough" and call out this nonsense once and for all. Let's call out ESPN for going like CNN these days because I don t know what the hell is going on there? and let's call it out! - The Ingrid is a stand up comedian, writer, and comedian.
