Hunter Biden's New York art show raises ethical concerns about influence peddling. Rep. James Comer looked at the details of the buyers behind closed doors in private, and the White House is still mum about it. Is this an attempt to cover up an ethical breach? Or is it part of a larger scheme to enrich the Biden family? Or is this just the latest in a long line of shady dealings involving the Vice President and his family? And is it possible that this is part of an influence-peddling scheme that goes way beyond the normal ethical boundaries of the office of the VP and the Office of Government Ethics? Or are they actually trying to hide something, and are they even trying to be above board with their ethics standards? . . . or are they trying to get away with something they ve never had to be even remotely above board by being above board at all? What do you think of the idea that the Bidens are actually above board, and that they have nothing to fear from an ethical standpoint? Is this a scam? or is this an actual ethical breach, or is it something that needs to be dealt with in order to protect the integrity of the highest levels of our highest office in our political system? and is it even possible that they are even above board in any way? in the first place? 00:00:00.000Well, guys, today we're going to talk Hunter Biden again, because apparently he had his New York art show this week.
00:00:06.000And there are concerns now, amazingly, of influence peddling.
00:00:11.000There was no influence peddling concerns, obviously, during the election, right, when he has these sort of no-show board seats, when he has billions invested from China, the Ukraine, the links to the Russian oligarchs and the mayor of Moscow and all these other Putin connections, you know, actual Russia collusion.
00:00:28.000But Finally now, there are some ethical concerns about a journeyman painter, someone who's never painted before, with paintings being offered at up to $500,000 a piece.
00:00:45.000There are Van Goghs out there, probably trading for less than this, but apparently he's a quite talented artist.
00:00:52.000Or it's a scheme to pay off Hunter or to buy the administration, which, given the history, given the laptop, given his overall degeneracy, wouldn't surprise anyone, I don't think.
00:01:04.000I mean, God, imagine it was Donald Trump Jr.
00:01:07.000Imagine it was Eric Trump or Ivanka Trump doing this in the presidency.
00:01:13.000And the administration says they're almost actively working to keep the name secret so that you couldn't have an influencing peddling situation.
00:01:21.000I mean, think about this. So Kentucky Congressman James Comer actually wanted to launch an ethics investigation in this.
00:01:42.000It wasn't like they were doing it publicly and they were going to tar and feather.
00:01:46.000But a congressman was willing to look Privately.
00:01:50.000And still didn't hear anything from the administration about it.
00:01:52.000So, they're obviously trying to hide this.
00:01:55.000Now, everyone that understands how this art world works understands it's sort of the new form of money laundering, especially from Asia.
00:02:02.000Like, what's art? Oh yeah, we're gonna buy this and transfer back and forth.
00:02:06.000No one's gonna really know the values.
00:02:07.000It's almost obvious at this point, okay?
00:02:10.000And again, given Hunter's shady dealings of the past, even though they covered for him incredibly, and, you know, you had the intelligence people covering, and amazingly now, the laptop, some of it may be real, folks.
00:02:21.000Hard to believe. Who could have seen that coming?
00:02:25.000I believe even some of Obama's own ethics people understand that this is ridiculous, right?
00:02:34.000Apparently, Walter Schaub, who ran the Office of Government and Ethics under President Obama said, There is no ethics program in the world that can be built around the head of state staff working with a dealer, meaning the art dealer, to keep the public in the dark about the identities of the individuals who pay vast sums to the leader's family member for subjectively priced items of no intrinsic value.
00:03:36.000God knows I didn't get privacy when I was in a similar situation, but it's gonna be different because I don't have the media working as my marketing department, right?
00:03:46.000So, he goes on to say, nor would you doubt that the appearance of monetizing the presidency was outrageous, because of course it is, and because of course that's exactly what's going on.
00:03:57.000But again, you don't have to believe me, or the New York Post.
00:04:01.000How about you trust Obama's own ethics guy?
00:04:07.000He himself says that this is ridiculous and it's insane.
00:04:11.000You have a congressman willing to look at the stuff behind closed doors in private and the White House is still mum about it.
00:04:18.000Why? If you're not actually trying to hide something, if you're actually trying to be even remotely above board, You'd think you'd do it, but they're not, folks, because they've never had to be.
00:04:29.000There's never been a reason for them to be even remotely above board, which is why they've gotten away with everything, which is why they are held to a different standard, and it's why our political system is a joke, almost as much of a joke as our mainstream media complex.
